The Framework That Turns Your Expertise Into Something People Remember
18m 24s
The speaker emphasizes that frameworks are the key to scaling a business and becoming a recognized expert. She argues that every successful expert, like Simon Sinek with his "Golden Circle" or Dan Martell with over 700 frameworks, uses repeatable patterns to make their knowledge accessible. Frameworks work because they reduce the mental effort audiences need to understand information, offering a clear mental map that shows where they are, what’s missing, and what happens next. Without frameworks, experts often ramble, making it hard for clients to grasp or replicate results, which hinders growth. The speaker shares examples from her own experience, including coaching and content creation, where frameworks provide structure while allowing creativity—much like a ballroom dance frame that holds firm but lets the partner move freely. She suggests practical ways to extract frameworks, such as analyzing client calls, emails, or repeated steps, and using AI tools like ChatGPT to identify patterns. A friend’s success story illustrates the impact: adding a framework to an underperforming program led to hundreds of sales overnight. Ultimately, frameworks build authority, make offers clearer, and enable experts to teach and scale without being present, giving them a track to run on and a name to be known for.
You can look up every single omnipresent obvious expert and you can find something that they teach on repeat a pattern that they have identified something that people can immediately say that's me. I understand that in a repeatable way for them to solve a problem that everyone out in the world can understand. Obvious experts don't just have expertise. They package their expertise into frameworks that people can understand. Remember and repeat. So if you don't have frameworks in your business, I can guarantee right now that you are having trouble scaling. Hey everyone, welcome back to the show. It's time for another quick because there's always time to fit an inspiration and I just want to give you a couple updates on some exciting things right now. I am headed to powerhouse women in Arizona. It's one of my best friends big events. I'm so excited to be there. I will be there all night Friday night at the glossy booth taking pictures and handing out samples and all the fun things you guys can go check it out. And this year we have a product on hand you can come and find me and actually purchase your product. So I know that all of the Canadian girlies last year were really upset because we weren't able to take home a bunch of products. So come see me. Can't wait to see you at pajamas in Prosecco on Friday night and also I am speaking on Saturday. So hopefully you stick around for that and I literally cannot wait. Also the incredible peptide company that I am a part of part owner of that I'm so excited about is running an incredible deal right now. So you guys can go check that out on some of their peptides on their GLP ones, etc. You guys go and check it out. It is Lori harder.com forward slash loop and you can go see the insane deal that's happening right now. So if you're listening to this this week week of August. Let's see I believe this comes out on the 12th or 13th. It is still going on but not for long you only have a little bit of time left to go and check that out. So you guys I'm really excited about that in today's podcast is a big one. It is a podcast that could absolutely change your business with minimal effort and right now we are living a time where messaging is everything specificity is one of the most important things that you can do in your messaging and your business identity based content identity based language. Today what we are focusing on outside of that is having frameworks. This might sound like the most basic thing you have ever heard in your life. But there is no fame without the frame. You can look up every single omnipresent obvious expert. And you can find something that they teach on repeat a pattern that they have identified something that people can immediately say that's me. So obvious experts don't just have expertise. Remember and repeat. This is what a framework is. So if you don't have frameworks in your business, I can guarantee right now that you are having trouble scaling that you are having trouble getting people into your business on a consistent basis because what happens is a framework takes your knowledge and it turns into something very teachable on repeat. And it takes your expertise and where you used to ramble what it does is it makes something understandable. It takes your ideas and it makes it memorable not just stories right or hey this worked with these clients. So if you start with that framework, it takes an experience and it makes it a repeatable process and it takes your rambling and it makes a clear message. So frameworks work because our brains have limited working memory. And we understand complex information better when it's organized into meaningful groups or chunks. So frameworks reduce the amount of information someone has to mentally organize themselves. So while they're listening to you. They're actually trying to figure out what categories to put it in if they've ever had these categories. They're trying to make these categories up if they don't have them. So instead what happens with the framework is it gives people a mental map. It's a reason that you go and you follow people. They're explaining things in a very succinct pattern. So you might follow someone who you're like, there's not a framework here. So I don't know what you're talking about. I guarantee they are following a framework when they tell you the information that they're telling you. There is an exact framework on the storytelling pattern that they are saying every single day on that real or in that delivery of the message in a carousel. They're following frameworks. So even if they are not verbally spoken frameworks, they are following frameworks within their business. This is where it gets mind blowing you guys is because you can go and find the frameworks that they're following or saying out loud or look up frameworks that they follow in their business and why it works. So people want a mental map. They want to say, where am I in this? What am I missing? What happens next and how do I get the result? So having these mental structures makes it easier for them to understand and connect. So it takes that idea and it makes it easier to understand. Remember recall teach repeat and share. So this builds authority whenever you add frameworks because a framework signals, hey, I've done this enough times to literally see a pattern and all of my clients. I understand how these pieces fit together and I'm going to show you how this all works. Or I have a process for creating this result instead of here some stories, here's some things I do. I'm kind of going to tell you a different way to do it all the time and eventually we're going to get there and it's going to work for you, but you're not going to be able to go and do this on your own in the second that we're off of the coaching call you don't have a framework to follow or a pattern to follow. So you can say things like there are four things that have to happen in order for you to get this result right I take clients through these three steps. I call this my blank method right it's easier than you think to come up with a framework and the framework lets your expertise really travel to a ton of different people without you having to be in the room either right it's something that they can repeat. It's something that you could say on a podcast that people can go and do and recall so let's talk about some obvious expert examples there Simon Sinek right he went absolutely viral because of a white board with a fucking circle on it and he called it the golden circle. And what was unique about this is you took a simple concept and put a method to it that we could remember start with why why was in the center of the circle the next circle around it was how the next circle around it was what and people just remembered the idea of the framework of start with why. You guys that built his entire career because they could remember the central idea Daniel Priestley key person of influence he packages about how to become a sought after authority through a five step method this has made him famous he has many other frameworks. But this was such a an idea that people could grab on to that it made it simple for them I was recently on a trip with Dan Martell and we went to lunch and I asked him I was talking about this concept I was telling people at the table about it and they're like his wife was like asked ask Dan Dan has over 700 frameworks and it's one of the reasons Dan is one of the fastest I think he's the fastest growing personal brand online right now. Everything that he does is a framework has a framework he's a very effective teacher all of his videos follow frameworks all sorts of different frameworks that are viral frameworks that work. And so you guys have to start looking at where's the framework and my following a framework when I do content and my following a framework when I do podcasts. I am teaching a framework on my podcast program right now million dollar guest and I'm teaching you exactly how to have a million dollar story and how to be a million dollar guests that everybody wants through a certain framework and this framework is what they will run everything through in what everything else is going to be made easy after they understand this framework. Right now you're probably thinking well I don't have a framework or that's not how you work I promise you you have a framework right now in you and the great thing about right now being alive is glad and chat and whether you love AI or hate it I'm obsessed with it because what it's going to help you do is it takes really visionary creative people and it helps us get these frameworks because I've always struggled with coming up with them on my own I over think. I'm not a very linear person this is a conversation I've always had in my head except I get results I just had a lot of trouble explaining how I get them and sometimes I even get confused from start to finish when I'm coaching someone of wait a minute where am I at like what do I teach them exactly next I know that I do this all the time but I'm not following you know something step by step like I'm very intuition led but that's not great it doesn't make me feel great I got to be honest like I want to be able to have that intuition be free. But I want the structure structure just makes you be more free literally there's no content without.
the frame, you know, a masterpiece is only a masterpiece when it's put into a frame. Otherwise, it's just this messy piece of, you know, art that runs off out into the ether and is not contained by something. And so a frame really lets you be free. I remember when Chris and I were ballroom dancing, they would always say to Chris, like, you know, the frame has to be this very like structured hold, but the thing about the hold of a frame when you're picturing two ballroom dancers, right? Like I want you to think about how people are held during the tango or the waltz. It's kind of like this very firm structured frame, except what you're not seeing within that is the arms of the man are very like stiff and firm, but they're giving her wiggle room to be able to move around freely and be able to be the thing that makes the dance look beautiful, right? To be able to put that free flowing style into the dance, but he holds that frame firm with wiggle room. So that's what structure is. It's like, here's what you're going to follow, but being able to have something to follow actually gives you the freedom to say all of these potentially what feels a little tangenty ideas, but when you're done giving this idea that came to you intuitively, like a download and you need to share it right now about this story, because it just feels very relevant. When you are done sharing that story, you can come back to the frame so that it still feels very linear and they are on a track. Your people don't get lost, like, where the hell did that story come from? Now we're back again and you've landed the plane. So if you're anything like me and that makes sense to you, you're like, oh, God, this will actually make me feel better because I'm going to be able to bring my audience on a linear path where they feel very safe. They know where they're going. We know what the ultimate result is and we're following each step by step. They know what they're doing. So frameworks can come from almost anything, right? If you're a coach, you could ask yourself, what are the stages or questions you're repeatedly taking clients through? If you're a sales expert, you could say, okay, there are a clear set of objections. I'm always helping people overcome. Here's how I do it. Here's kind of what I walk them through. Can you help me create a framework from objection to decision and how they can come up with this meditation teacher? What happens during your meditation that creates the shift? Like, what are the processes of your meditation? Maybe you have some meditations right now and you could literally put them into cloud and say, what's the framework that I follow in order to create a shift on the other side of this? Like, can you tell me what framework I have been doing within these meditations? Right? They'll retreat. What happens over the course of the trip? Why is each part there? Why is each part important? Ask cloud to say, what is the frameworks that I follow on this trip? So now when you go to sell these trips, you have a selling point in a framework that you're telling people of how this process works instead of, hey, you should do this. It gets you out of your element. It makes you think bigger. You get around these people. You become who you're around. That's great. But you give it a framework and people's brains go, that makes sense to me. That's why that works. So how to extract it is you can ask yourself things like, and you want to write this down because we want to put this in a cloud. If you're not a linear person, we're using chat for this, right? So what results do I help create? Where was the person before? Where are they after? What do I do first? What happens next? What has to happen before something else can work? What do I repeat almost every time with every client? What are the mistakes I see over and over that I'm constantly correcting? How do I correct them? What do my most successful clients consistently do? What do I do differently from everybody else? Here's something else that you can do. You can start recording your calls of you, whatever you do, maybe you're a coach or you could start writing the emails that are converting into cloud and say, what are the frameworks that I'm using? Or what framework did I use in this email to repeat this again because this converted really well? Or on this coaching call, what is a framework that you pulled out of this from everything that I said that I took this client through? I don't have a frame, like say this into cloud, I don't have a framework yet. I want you to really study this call and see how they went from here to get this result and let me know how I could put this in a three-part framework. Maybe you want a five-part framework or you say, what are the basic steps that I'm using in here and how could I turn this into a framework? So I'm so excited to hear if you use this guys because this is life-changing. Start doing this for yourself, start memorizing your own frameworks, you're going to find that when you're on stage, when you're speaking on a podcast, now you can do your content around this, you're going to refer back to this all the time. You want to be known for these frameworks. It is life-changing. It gives you tracks to run on and to be known for. Then you can name on, you can start getting IP, people can start being known, you can start being known amongst people for X, Y, and Z framework. It is a game changer. It just helps you be an expert out in the world when people can grab onto things. So I'm sending you guys so much love. I hope this helps. Please DM me if this helps. Or if you even thought of a framework, tell me what you thought of for your business. Let me know the results that you're getting. My friend that I talked to that I literally just told about this when I was in Cologne, Canada. We had the best chat over lunch. Then I was telling her about the frameworks and she literally just texted me two day an hour before this, this is where I came up with this podcast. I'm like, I have to share this with people. She said she has had a program for a while that wasn't really selling anymore and or wasn't really selling great to begin with, but she's had it and she uses it sometimes for whoever needs it. She said she put a framework to it and it literally sold like hotcakes overnight, like hundreds. And so she said for the first time, she felt free and able to communicate exactly what that offer was where before it was very like fluffy language that people couldn't hold onto even though it got really big results. So I hope this helps and shoot me a message in the DMs if it does. And until next time, earn your happy. Bye, everyone.
