The favourites to follow (and avoid!) at Caulfield this weekend, and the price Felgate is FLAT he missed!

The transcription captures a Friday edition of "The Verdict," a horse racing preview show focused on the upcoming Bletchingly Stakes at Caulfield. Host Janice is joined by analysts Sharky and Nicko, along with track manager Sam Bennett's, to discuss key factors for the meeting. The track is rated a soft 6, with a 10-meter rail placement and a forecast westerly wind creating a headwind in the home straight. Bennett's notes possible light rain (1-3mm) that could push the track toward heavy, and expects the inside/middle ground to be preferred. The main race, the Bletchingly Stakes, features favorite Cosmic Resader, a Group 1 winner from Western Australia, but analysts express doubts due to his first-up status and the unfamiliar wet ground at Caulfield. The show also highlights selections for other races: Custom is a strong pick in Race 1, with confidence from trainer Jack Turnbull, citing her good first-up run and wet track suitability. In Race 2, Garnas a Car is favored due to strong Blue Diamond form, while Tennessee Bound in Race 3 is seen as a near-certain winner at short odds. Unibet, the show's partner, offers promotions like bonus bets for 2nd or 3rd place finishes and same-race multi insurance. The analysts balance optimism with caution, particularly regarding track conditions and the performance of class horses on wet ground.

Ready to go and they're racing! Changing colors, rips away and changing colors one at well from street lights are Janice getting through and Hyland Blazer still coming at them. They reach the light, photo-finished Boltzahn. St George is pulling clear and St George will win it. Placing their opinion on the line, it's the verdict. Hello my partners, welcome to the Friday edition of the verdict. Great to have your company as we count down to the end of the racing season and it's almost the start of a little sniff of spring because we've got another group race, it is the Bledch England Stakes at Corp Field on Saturday and we thanks to our new very much appreciated partner UniBet. We are bringing you all the winners for the weekend and with our great mates at UniBet I'll tell you about some of the great offers I've got throughout the weekend and hopefully Nico Noon and Anders Shark and Steer is into a few weekend. Winners it's great to get the band back together on a Friday. Guys how are we? Nico haven't seen you on the verdict for a while you'll be doing very well on the screens of racing.com. How's the winter pumped being for you? Yeah Wednesday was helpful we caught a little bit back I didn't know if Michael has ever come back for a while there Sharky it was that long of a lie off but it's good to hear your back while. Yeah you kept checking the weather reports I think and as the temperature was just dropping dropping dropping and you can you can imagine it to be a couple of degrees cooler and you go down there on the peninsula where the compound is located. I think the cameras you was probably checking in and just assessing the frost on the ground whether the llamas had you know huddled together and gone into hibernation you know I think there was a lot that went into the timing of his return. Well Dean and old grey gilding nowadays don't perform that well in the cold and the wet we just try and fight until the good weather comes so we're fully refreshed and ready to go and I tell you what we do need though you go and Shark is I need you to find us the winners because we're bank needs some rebuilding. I like a couple but what's got me a little confused and maybe not as confident of opening the shoulders early doors is this rail 10 place for at Corfield and Sam Bennett's is going to join us soon but how do you think the track will play firstly Sharky and then Nick with his 10 meter rail placement. I think 10 meters like Corfield's been a lot of action I think we've heard from Sam Bennett's plenty of times around the track and that he's doing his best to sort of keep it in as good as condition as possible but it is a little bit tired. I think the wind will probably play potentially plays more have it Nick at Corfield these days you're probably more across each direction and how strong and what that does to them but I don't think it's an author in this afternoon a sort of swish northerly but what's it doing tomorrow. Yeah I think it was a westerly and west north of Osterly tomorrow so from what I know that's he and the horses rails in run down the sides and maybe that helps the horses that can get a bit of cover and I think it's a headwind in the home straight but Sam will be all across that but that's probably the key factor there is a tiny bit of rain predicted throughout the day so we're interested in seeing if that hits but I'd sort of be thinking of what we've seen probably the last six months more often than not it's been fenced off at Corfield so I sort of thought especially with that wind I'd be sort of leaning to fenced off and that makes it intriguing in the bletching like obviously the most intriguing runner of the day is the favourite that's the group one winner Cosmic Resader who comes across we know he's he's getting fitter for races like the Memzi which will be his third start in but Drawnberry or one he's got the class but there's a few things against him Shark well there is he's first up he's on wet ground which is going to be significantly more wet than what he's faced so far in WA I'd say a Corfield middle of winter soft six slash seven is a is a lot softer than what he's seen in Perth on a five jumped out has been pretty encouraging now we know his high quality yeah what is interested do it agree why they feel the need to kick off some of these group one winning types in races like this on wet tracks I don't know what the rush is there's plenty of good races in the spring goes for a long long time now well we'll get to the bletching lean a moment I just found the secret to Niko Nodans unbelievable tipping success is lucky mug show us your coffee mug then Niko yeah this is one we found over in New Zealand actually let's go I think it's got all the the UK jumpers that's a yates some pretty sure we came over Melbourne Cup he was he was big slowly there's a few other jumpers on there like red rum that's the muck the mrs got me for Christmas yates type of the jumps Shark team what he it's pretty good the the grand national next week if he was a take him on all time champion well he didn't do much in the Melbourne Cup did he was he was tall off down the field didn't didn't sell himself and glory here I don't know I don't know if one starts defining yates as Gary I think I think I know and back to that Melbourne Cup anyway let's get on the core field tomorrow and we need to know what the track is going to be doing Sam Bennett's joins us the main man at core field and I'm pleased to say me Sam looking over your shoulder there there's a fair bit of blue sky what's the weather like a core field at the moment and morning Jan Stey has a said a bit of a bit of blue sky which is nice still a little bit chilly I think only sort of seven or eight degrees but thankfully the winds been up for the past sort of two weeks which is nice it's helped sort of drive the track out and we're a soft six this morning but certainly on the better side on the better side so if we don't get any rain is there a chance we could get to a five or do you think it'll it'll stay in that six range I think we'll probably stay in that six range we just have to account for the amount of marking that we've got sort of in the front straight there we have sort of raised every four nights for last sort of three race meetings so I will do think they'll sort of impact times come tomorrow and certainly if we don't get any rain there's a they're tipping a westerly 15 to 20 K's which is a headwind the front straight so that might just impact times there too okay is there any prediction of rain are you expecting the coffeany between now and tomorrow yeah it looks like tomorrow morning probably not my luck probably on the track inspection as we go around but they're sort of tipping as a hard chance of sort of around that one mill to three mill mark so dependent upon how it falls really depend on or really depend on how the track sort of handles that obviously if it sort of dribbles for a couple hours and suddenly sort of one or two mills would probably have a more or a detrimental impact than if it was you know one or two mill over a really short sharp shower so something to be mindful of but I would say if that rain falls and we do sort of get the higher end around that through four mill mark we'd be on the worst side of soft potentially maybe early heavy track. Rail 10 tomorrow Sam what's it traditionally being for allegedly steak steak because we know you got perp of the lines and then the group where men's he's not far away as well. That's right yeah so typically we sort of we'll get it back into truth for pledgingly but yeah as I said the winter the winter racing schedule sort of obviously taken a mark on the track and we're just thought to provide them the best graph of this Saturday we'll give them we'll put the rail at 10 and then we'll be back at truth for paybearance there and sort of three Saturdays time so I'd imagine that inside half of the tracks for paybearance will be clean ground. So how do you think the pattern will be tomorrow? As I said it'll be interesting to see what the wind does and the rain fall a lot of that analytic sort of point to the middle to the inside being preferred ground but as I said you have to take an account the amount of marking in it so I think if we don't get any rain I'd dare say you know the the inside the middle holds up for most of the car they may sort of edge off later in the day but if we do get the rain then I'd dare say to edge off a bit sooner but we will air right the outside four metres which still allow 16 metres of galloping width but yeah we'll just keep them off whilst that outside fence. Okay and you've done that before, Evan you and you did a sand out on Wednesday. That's correct yeah so it is pretty typical around Victoria to try and relieve depiction of the outside of the track certainly here it being a public access site a lot of the traffic goes on that outside and then also a lot of our maintenance vehicles so just need to ensure that it's certainly no better than the rest of the track and sort of diswades from from from thinking about going out that wide. What's your good thing on Bletchingly Stake Star? I'm going to go back to the wealth I'm going to go with the winners edge. I want to hear last two starts obviously enjoys Corfield on the soft track so fingers crossed. Is it track specialist just like you Sammy? Enjoy Bletchingly. Thanks Jance, cheers. Sammy Bennett's the main man at Corford what do you think about that boys? The wind is a factor I hadn't really thought of too much Nicko. Yeah I think it should even it out even if it is back towards on speed so the horses I think the wind maybe penalises them a bit so whatever way sort of look at it I think it's probably a bonus on Saturday unless the chalkies over eight it like they did sort of two weeks ago but it doesn't seem as severe as that program where they all went incredibly slow but there's a lot of lead ups into Saturday from that meeting that now horses are out the back and just had no chance and they could get a much more fatal scenario this week so it could be some sharp in peruvans. All right let's get stuck into the card and as you know that Unibet is now major partner for those of you who are following the verdict selections make sure you jump on Unibet checkout their latest racing offers and there's a really good offer this weekend both a Corford and Rand Week in races one to three. You get a bonus back if your horse runs second or third. So with the way shark and nickname and follow You're almost getting a free hit with their selection because surely they'll run top three and also there's plenty of value With the same race multi insurance now that's in races four to seven at Corfield and Randwick as well So make sure you head to uni bet back your cell. It's the place to bet Eligible existing uni bet customers limits of flight and conditions also apply what can we really cost you for free confidential support visit gambling help on line.org.au and the uni bet market for the first race at Corfield has custom the $2.76 $5.00 and others in the market with a burrito at $5.50 $6.00 Tequico and then you're out to Mystery and Drama at $9.50. No, basically the only ones that are under double figures I had a chat to Jack Terrible yesterday that customer. He declared this is best of the day There's a fair bit of confidence to kick off the card. How does it? She's probably our best one of our best on the day She was good first up. She ran a big figure We didn't claim and she was beaten by one of ours with I think about five kilos difference. So I'm strongly on her Providing the ground stays soft should get a toe in and she should be running very well Yeah, it's it's hard to disagree Nicko. Are we kicking off with some confidence? Yeah, I'm with her like I would have loved to be taking three dollars not $2.70 what she is now, but I think when you look at those ratings she produced first up was actually the second biggest performance of her career So you think she's probably going to take some improvement from that run I like to jump out letting to that on very wet ground So I think the wet track is a bonus for her She should just sort of blend into the race James Johnson takes three kilos off She needs another win like she has been sort of around the market a lot of racing races But don't think she's found as suitable race this Saturday So yeah on the day where I was pretty keen to play in the book ends I'm going to help the kick off with a winner in the good old from blue here Yeah, I agree. I tell you what I'd love to take a market on How many winners James Johnson's going to ride tomorrow his book is phenomenal He could easily have a three or four time at tomorrow's sharky Yeah, he could he's riding very well and he's got a stacked card tomorrow as you can say as you just said I just hit the stakes form around custom like for the first up run was great But when you look at what she was doing last time. It's just a high level then what the other horse it comes through a stakes race You recuperate a rings the table like a critic form off seasons but a how you go and type listed race Versus custom who was chasing home alpha Sophie space rider Sas appear all day dancer in her last preplot. It's a those horses are a completely different Class to what came through the crezic stakes. I although yeah, she's 270 whatever touch under two to one in the old I still think she's too close to recuperato recuperato is too close to her in the markets though I think she's absolutely the horse to beat and she's a bet in the first I reckon the big improver this prep might be glows go like based on her jump out She seems to be going a lot better this time around than what then she was last prep She just didn't come up in that only run and she does have some really good former around her in WAs So she might be the improved relative of a price you can throw into models Very good One at a price to Nick Rohn gave us a bit of a push earlier weeks of the vain champagne Things it's going to improve. It's around about $12 you wanted to play that in your mouthies But we're we're all in the grints Take the 270 unit bet race number one build the bank with custom race number two This is the race that I'll be sitting back and watching boys. I'm not going to jump in It's going to be an interesting two-year-old race But after having a chat to Jack Turnbull again yesterday I thought Garnas, the car and Milson's point who have probably the best two Two-year-old formlines from the previous campaign, but suggest tread wearily. We're not 100% screwed down with these horses You fix they'll run well, but they'll improve on what they do and That then makes it a bit more confusing Garnas accounts $3 and 90 cents Rebel Tuesday's 650 550 He stakes from the Hayes camp Resiluantly's being well supported also from the Hayes camp Into 460 on Unibit as well. I'm going to sit back and watch this one Sharky You can't ever play with the two rocks It's a good two-year-old race and we get to see a bit of the form through the blue diamond which is Strange seeing the contemplate on the 25th of July But that's what we find ourselves doing Garnas a car and fifth in the diamond second in the millennium to fight all Should we be having something on him here? The form just stands out and yeah some of these more recent Horses that we've seen at the track You know they might have nice ability, but We could only trust you know the comparison of form today and the blue diamonds proven to be an exceptional form reference Garnas account I think will probably get a little bit of mine Brazen dish and boaves the horse of the things got really good talent I know the stable think quite a bit of him watch his jump out Is it a beautiful reach to be stride? I know synthetic is most recent one, but boy extends out really well and almost effortlessly. I think he's a good talent Millson's points been gilded another one coming through those better races in the autumn when he was Coltty and probably doing a bit look wrong So he was a bit sweaty in his recent jump out. So maybe still some manners to care of there I'll back garnas a car in here not knowing crazy not as confident as custom in the first then I'll have a little something on Brazen dish and bo It's around about nine dollars Brazen dish and boan. I know McPryson junior got a bit of an opinion of that too on jack arander goes over to the lightning in south Australia. So that's Olded the market and taken one of the main chances out here and you go ahead. Did you see this race? Yeah, I was a bit surprised garnas a car wasn't favorite in the early markets And now that deduction and I think there has been a bit of support for her into no that sort of four dollar range Uh, I like stakes on day boo and I don't know how he won that race I still think he got beat watching that race even in replay, but uh He sort of was on the worst ground in that race. He came home really well relative to the day Just don't know if you get in a huge spoil here at five dollars sort of about him Brazen dish and bo I did like the jump out, but I've just a slight worry on the ground So I think it's just a sit back and watch race for me this far Yeah, all right sharkies can have a little bit on garnas account. It's three dollars and only since we're going to be watching Race summer through look this is a multi-leg. I think I can't find anything to beat it. I just see She win especially now that vestess comes out, but she's a dollar 40 boys. We can't do anything without other than roll it into a multi Tennessee bound to remain undefeated. Is there any chink in the armor? Nick. I can you make any case To get a beaten Probably not like maybe barrier one if she lands in the box seat But like I doubt that happens, you know, if what we saw last start where she led at a real fast tempo You know look back through some of her ratings This campaign she's probably not even been Outer absolutely best yet, and I think that's due to sort of the position we are in the in the calendar I think she's only going to be improving sort of this run and then maybe off till maybe like a car line stakes and having a look at a More I would have thought their races that might be on an agenda if she can continue this picket fence I'd be surprised if she gets beat nothing she could legitimately have you know group one sort of talent So she should be winning if that's the case Yeah, I'm not sure where her ceiling is, but I think anybody really is to be honest She's going through the grades with good purpose 70 to 74 last time She's up to an 84 here. There's nothing here that I think will travel her There's not a lot of pressure up on the front either. So she should get a pretty easy lead Um and jayves johnson's control things let's just sit around the corner and it should be game over Rolling horses like this in a multi-smile. Well, you know my feelings about that These legs are the ones that typically win, but it's others that can bring you one stark if you like her just have a hundred on There's nothing wrong with winning 45 bucks Well, you can't even buy a slab, but I used to love you slab bed, but um That's that's maybe two six packs if you're lucky, so Yeah, I don't know what's the uh I haven't bought a slab in a little while. I'm just having a look here. Oh hang on hang on Fixing bugs to slab these days. Well, no, you can get a slab. I'm looking here There's a slab of little creatures you can get for $49 so you're nearly a slab yet yet you're one stop each year Are you shopping at dance? Uh, there's uh, that's that's on special I think it is yeah, what you get the catalog with you memorize the catalog for this weekend You gotta do your research show It's the Friday form for the Saturday afternoon. Then where's the cheek beer Surely actually do you know what they've got on special there hang on. I'm just this can't be right This can't be right I'm just checking here Michael, but this is this is a great buy Oh, no, it's a case of 16. I was gonna give a little pump up for syn Andrew's brewer because they've uh They've had all mid-strength look like it was on special there but uh, unfortunately 16 packs so you're dutted you dutted eight beers. Well, Tommy Tommy berries apart. I know so you know, he's a bit too tight He couldn't be giving too many specials away, but that's syn Andrew. Well, why isn't he sponsored? You're his podcast What's your choice of beverage Nicko? Not really a big B.M. Anne to be honest. So uh a slab for me, I might go to the slab of Coke I'm probably going better off than getting a slab of beer so uh, that's probably my price range You could get a slab for a dollar 40 if you have a hangier on I'll be right. I'll be right then. Yeah, don't worry about the little multi shark you uh, that'll give a lot of enjoyment just to put the extra 40% on top when Tennessee Bound sales home in race number three. You're tipping javes to win the first three races at Core Ferdinand Saturday and there is a chance he could make it four from four because I give signature cent a huge chance in the fourth race after the wait. It's returned on the Kiran Mars game at big day on Saturday. It's at $3.70. The stable might after Berners-550 then you're at $7.00 a remainder but she's always promised to be a very good horse signature cent and I'll just love the way she returned first up. Let's have a listen to what Jack Turmall had to say. Two ends of the prats really. Signatures kicking off after Berner is at the back end of just trying to get one more run in before she turns a bit older but I think on ability if I was to be picking one I would go with signature. She's very different with a set of blinkers on and since we've had them on in the latter end of her career she's really improved so I'll say the signature but you could make a case for them both. Are you with signature here Nicko? I just feel like I missed my chance to back her last say you know she goes around six seven dollars I think in an easier race. I'd have her on top of the top selection maybe the most likely winner but I want to have something on fire cited I think he's well placed here. I would like his first up runner was on that day. Corford you had to be on the fence and he was sort of wide made a long sustained run. Now he draws in he's had a bit of a gap between runs it could have been a bit of a gut buster for him there first up but should get a soft run I like Jamie mod on. Yeah I thought there was just a few things in his favor but away from signature cent it does look fairly even. Yeah I took advantage of the price last time although she was a great bit at her last start. I think still think she's a great winning chance here but you mentioned Nicko couple there that I think can I guess put the pressure on a little bit. Fast-cited is one of them another one here is Express class who gets the blinkers for the first time and I think that's a big factor for this horse. I know a few that follow this horse have been waiting for that gear change they get it here first up. The best of his form is very good when you consider the horses that he raised against early in his career for a race like this you beat for Viva for Riva I can never say a name right and another horse with good stakes form very early in his career. A lot of that early form too was on soft tracks and he hasn't really seen a soft track since those early days so jump out to been good the Maloney family teaming up here hopefully neither Pat get a good run for the family there with Express class but I'll probably have a little something on signature cent maybe a little something on Express class I'd want to be I think to be betting in this race I'd need James to be doing the right thing by me in the first three and have pockets full and confidence right because I do think there is a little more yet to this race than first glance. I can see that shout for Express class $12 with the other one at a price to I think Scott ability but is a little bit a little bit in and out can you trust her is Jenny Beninja how do you write Jenny Nick? Yeah she does have a billy on her day the first up run it was a real question mark to where she was at last up was definitely an improvement where she's out back again signature cent don't think she'll get any favors here from 4 a.m. though so she's probably one that has the talent but mine will have the best set up. All right I'm sticking with signature cent 370 are you playing at that price or not Nick? Now I'm happy to let her go I think she's definitely deserving a favorite but I'll have something small and fast-sighted. Okay fast-sighted we can get $7 with uni bet and Sharky's trying an Express class around about $12 as well so might be nice at all chance there if you want to get involved in the multies of course that is a leg of the same race multi insurance race number 4 so it could be a nice little play with a few of those chances in race 4 at Corefield race number 5 this is over 16 hundred meters so we get to see a lot of the same old same old's going around here and no surprise first chorus is the favorite $2.70 is that a bit tight though I know it gets in nicely with the claim from Luke Carter right $2.70 with uni bet detonated jack could ever birthday two times in a row $7.J.J. Johnson looking maybe for five in a row according to Sharky cent Lawrence is the other one and I think it's got a bit of a chance at around about $8 in this race $2.70 for his chorus sharky is that too tight or happy to keep playing this guy up. Gross under I think coming out of 84's and 78's which with fairly average into a benchmark 100 on this could no wait on it back but and this isn't the strongest hundred of all time but I couldn't have around a $3.50 to be honest but I just I think she's way too short I like this race much at all really I think Jimmy the bear if you found the form that he had three starts ago and winning this track he beat them like is that much better than these but he's just looking a bit dour this preparation to mine I think C Falls probably come to the end of it tough to must might be the best sort of at a big price a lot of these want to get back and run on and there's not a heap of pressure here maybe it's a race where Magnus being able to control things in Scoot away I think this is an absolute nightmare this race and the favourites too short suit yourself if you want to bet here it's hard to be confident but I mean it's a Lawrence almost ready to do something here Nick I'm Tippinian I think he's is a bit of D day they're on Saturday because when you look at his runs this campaign especially his last two just been too far back in solid on races last that was incredibly so they run the minute 1400 now steps up in distance to the mile I like Jamie mock keeping the ride and I've sort of played a few of my tips by this time of the day those forces that can get to the middle part of the track and then maybe the best ground and I think from nine he'll go back and probably be the wireless runner so that might be sort of the way I read it may be an advantage by now so yeah I was I was happy to back him I thought he was a good bet at round eight dollars you could play me to a like first course they went up to 25 like that just seems crazy short not surprise she's got out yes she has some favours but leave me out of that I thought tough to must could maybe improve but they've really sort of had a crack there 21 into 10 some places so I sit Lawrence from me and six definitely improve on yeah I'm happy to play some Lawrence each way as well eight dollars first chorus is a little short in the market for mine but it's a tricky tricky race first leg of the quality is race number six and I like this race I've got a bit of time for a few of these horses I'm not sure how far they can continue to go but brilliant Tesla I like what Patrick Payne's done with this horse it's six dollars um deck a log I backed it last start part of me says maybe I'll need to forgive and give it another go because it's just nothing went right again James Johnson on board taking three kilos off the other ones in the race our chief is very consistent he just can't break through at the moment and Paige we're who's doing a brilliant job King's reflection I just thought it was a bit short in the market it's into three dollars and 50 cents here so there's a few I think we need to put in this leg of the quality just on deck a log have a listen to what Jack Turbill had to say about war we should give it another chance yeah well the up and trip is a big tip for mine and we've gone an alternate just to try and contain him he's a very forward going horse and last start James in his defense was riding to instruction um and hence he was trying to get cover out of that wind and it all fell back in his lap so I think on Saturday you'll see a more confident ride we may even lead and and sort ourselves out from the front end but by no means is he trained off so I'd be sticking with are you forgiving shark yeah to a degree I can see that see the angle for sure he just didn't help himself at all that horse last time and and knew and still learning it pulling what it's a lay in a little bit so he did a bit wrong last time what I'm conscious of with a few runners in this race gee they've been up for a while you know this will be deckalog's ninth run of the prep the earners here this will be a six brilliant tazza it's six harbourtown likewise kings reflections been up forever on harbourtown and kings reflection both in their first prep so they're very very deep in here engine of wars had seven runs this will or this will be his seventh run so you know some of these horses have been up for for a long long time a little bit wary in that respect I think kings reflection probably would have won it flam into last time had it got the run at the same time as brilliant tazza just has a weight was strung up behind a brilliant tazza was often gone and by the time kings reflection got out there was too great a margin so I expect that also to turn the tables we've got to find out if deckalog runs trip which you know until they do it we don't know so I don't think that's something we can just assume he's going to do a horse that will run the trip and probably my little each way spec in the race at a big price is number ten for rario really like the donald win over four ten hundred so he's a stay with speed which is a good start the core field run last time he just got too far back it was a a real sort of dash for home and it didn't suit this horse at all he's a big ranger fella are going to be even better when he gets to big attracts in time but I thought the source was a realistic winning chance here at a big price I think I saw twenty odd dollars about him yesterday. I'm not sure if he's still at that price, but I'll try him each way. Quarity first leg, 1, 4, 7, 10. $1, 4, 7, 10. So, Sharky, you're going with Patti Payne's third springer here. And it's been $19 into $18, uni bet. So $18, first leg selection in the Quarity. You're also training in the one deck of log. The four engine or wall, which is double figurines around about $11. D-day for it, I think. Seven BKD days for a long time. Yeah, I know. So, no, doing a seat. What's happening? No brilliant tether. Did you make a blue with your numbers? What are you doing? No, I don't think you should have won last time. I think King's Reflections probably a better horse and should have beaten it on its merits. If they both got the right, if they both got the right time, then King's Reflections puts her away. I don't see why I should beat King's Reflections home here, meeting that horse. Worse off, is it? No, a little bit. I didn't even get a cure on. Yeah, yeah. I don't think she'll beat him home. All right. What do you think of Shark's Ruffie here, Nick? He stole my homework. I was going to be my wife. I thought it was a great run last time. You know, under the race shape, he's probably the horse that's leased suited under the real slow run race, because he looks just a genuine 24, 25, 100 meter horse. So up in distance, big tiki's got no weight. Yeah, I thought he could probably really improve in a race like Shark mentioned, like all these deep in the campaign, they're like brilliant tethered King's Reflection, you know, off of ground final, out of a very fast run race. They were sort of the two I went with inside the market, but King's Reflection does a lot wrong. The winkers on might help him. Deck log. I find it faster than if they lead. I don't know if he said all's well enough at 24, 100 meters. Like he'll get his last three runs. He made the mid race move in Sydney, because he wasn't settling that well. Flamington, he was keen early and then James Johnson did a very good job to sort of get him in the box seat and relax. And then last start, yes, it was slow pace, but he was very keen. So yeah, I was sort of happy to risk him deck log and go three seven 10 for my quality three seven and 10. This has got me excited boys. We both landing on an $18.00 ruffie in the first leg of the quality. This is going to pay for Europe. This is outstanding. I love it. When Nick Owen Sharks, the great minds come together with a ruffie in the first leg of the quality, $18 on uni bed at the moment in race number six or number 10, get involved. Punters. Second leg of the quality is the feature. This is the group three bletchingly stakes over 1200 meters. And it's been interesting bedding race just to have a look. I think punters are just treading a little wearily. The best fact runner has been the fiber Cosmic Crusader. I've been up 360 uni, but touch 370 now into $340. Second fiber is Winner's Edge, who is a winner looking for fifth win from six stars at Corefield. He opened up $4.00 now at the $4.20. Murrowville Roses being specced and very well in the Sir John Monash in the $5.50. Others under double figure odds. They come through the John Monash's. Well, watch me win seven dollars. You've got recommendation of a winner of this race a couple of years ago, $8.50 and Zuse sensation, $8.00 as well. Well, it's first of all, give me your pros and cons Cosmic Crusader. The group one winner, Nicko, you can kick us off. There's more cons and pros. I thought first up 1200 meters, all these format stakes class is at 1400 meters plus. And like Sharky's I mentioned off the top. This is a bit of a race where you're just building into probably the line. So I'd imagine the Memzi is maybe his real target. So he's going to take some improvement and Barry of one I thought by this time of the day maybe a negative. So I was happy to oppose him here. I know the Bletchley doesn't, the Monash doesn't film with stacks of confidence for this race, but just feel like those horses have a real fitness advantage on a few of their key rivals. I won't be having a bet, but I thought watch me win and recommendation, but maybe the two big in Proovers out of that race. But I was happy to leave Cosmic Crusader out and go 23678 for the quality 2367 and eight. 2367 and eight. 2367 and eight, Nicko with not a great deal of confidence. Recommendation, the 23's do sensation, the six watch me win seven winners edge and eight Miravalle Rost. You should be slatted if you knocked out of the quality. With all of those. Let's have a listen to a couple of the magic and tenders and what they happen. So we'll start with Bob Peters, the Iron Up. Oh, Cosmic Crusader. No, he settled in well. He's doing very well at the moment. I'm just reserving the judgment until I think the Memesies will tell us one way or the other. If he gets to it, my intention was to try and twice before he raced in the PB Lawrence and then look at it and there was a 1200 meter well, I've always known that was there in the back of my mind and that's really taking the place of his second trial. But you know, he's there to win if he can but you know, the main target gets at the end of the track a bit for him. That's really quite a while since he's raced. Nick Ryan has winners edge. Very similar field except you're throwing in Cosmic Crusader. His first up, we're going to be in front of him in the round you would have thought anyhow. We've got a fitness edge. Look, a lot of respect. He's 110 Raider is a group one winner and he's the form from Perth as we know holds up. But confident taking him on you've got Mirafel Rose will be in in Provis. She was a good run in the Monash just on our backs, closing late. But she's second up going two weeks and then it's a very similar field. The rest so he's going to be in it up to his eyeballs. I would have thought Michael. And then Jack Turnbull recommendation. G-Gope, this is a good push. He's back to his best. Hong Kong, a couple seasons ago, knocked the stuffing out in a bit and you know, two to our perspective in training. There wasn't anything wrong with him, buddy. He just wasn't firing and really finishing up. But for everyone to see this time and he's been back to what we think is his best and it internally his data would suggest that. So I think the the gates are positive. We should be able to break and be forward. Depending how the track's playing, it should suit. And again, I think we're nine or ten runners to even race. But he can win back the clock. How do you see the bledchingly, Shaki? Well, I'm taking Cosmic Crusader out of my quattie based on the comments from odd Peters. I think the fact they were going to trial twice and now they're coming here instead. So you know he's underdone. They're talking about a MEMSY, probably rather than a Lawrence. So again, that's a month away. Not sure I need to be reducing my percentage with him based on that. And I think Nick makes a really good point too if that wind is impacting horses back drawn, I guess along the rails. He might be sort of copying that the brunt of it down the side. Really nice horse really looking forward to seeing where he measures out. But I might just run with the bare horses here. I think two, three, seven and eight and Miravile Rose would probably be on top of me. Really good run in that mine ass dakes. He's just clotted up at a couple of key times and she's not a doesn't look like a big row bus mare. So just getting leaned on from pretty much the 500 meters down the straight. I don't think would have helped her. They may spread out by this time of the day. And if you get some clear air back towards the inside where she can angle out, others might be pushing even wider. It might help her. Anyway, she was on top probably a no-bet race for me. Two, three, seven, eight and a quantity. Two, three, seven, eight shark recommendations, this sensation, seven winners edge and eight Miravile Rose. I must admit I thought the same after I chatted above Peter's yesterday that I can easily take on Cosmic Crusader. And I think he just makes the odds for a few of these horses. When it's when does edge is a winner? I'm happy to take $4 plus winners edge in this race. And I mean, Nick Rines got some pretty lofty ambitions with this Gallopry. You said if you can win the bletchingly, we're going to go to a PB Lawrence. And then you know, it could even contemplate a matacata with this horse just trying to pinch a few races. While they've got fitness. Wow. So yeah, big lofty ambitions, but it'll want to be winning this if they want to get anywhere near that. So I'm happy to take winners edge to make it the John Lonech Letchingly double. Let's have a look at the third leg of the quality. In this race, it's a tricky a tricky affair. I'm a bit disappointed that Jack Turnbull gave a huge push yesterday for Alien, the horse down the bottom. I would buy the King was $9 yesterday. I know we've had or quite come out. It's into $5.50 now with beauty. But so we've missed the price. The stable my name leto is $4.60. Stop the rocks in the market for riding Mac die. I have a listen to what Jack had to say about the King's horse. I'm actually going to go with the mayor. She's progressive and later from that wider alley will just have to go forward. But the King's mayor up to a mile in court are having had a run with the claim is very appealing and she's pretty much untap. She'll be one of those internationals that should progress at a low handicap and I'll stick with the mayor. Drawn too shark. She's going to sit closer in the run tomorrow. How do you rate her? Obviously Jack doesn't want to try and pronounce it. A. Olian is the way you pronounce his horse's name. I think she could win this race, but I'm not quite sure. I want to take $5.50 on the back of a seventh last time in a week or event. Well, he's, he's, he's, well, untruthly tight in this market. I just, I just can't come at the price. It was a good run that she was snagged from the wide gate. She was back, went up the inside. That kind of was, but the tempo was a bit funny in that race. So just under sort of average time and they went above it and they came back under it. It wasn't the ideal scenario for, for a horse having its first run in Australia. I thought she was good through the line. I've got her on top, but I need better than $5.50 playing her. I think the best ruffian in the race here is Crimson Vine coming across for, for Sarah Rutt and I know she did a huge pride. There are Ruttans teams going really well at the moment and this horse had a couple of pipe openers that shorter trips. It was more, well untruthly competitive, pardon me, in the lead ups to the Adelaide Cup and look, some of these horses are of similar quality. I think it can run a really cheeky race here at a huge price. $6.9, 11 and 15 for me. $6.9, 11 and 15. How do we pronounce them air again? Aolian. And you know what that is, of course, being at, you, you would have been a tent you can, well, you know, earth sciences was a key focus area of my study, said Monash University. Aolian refers to landscapes that are shaped by the wind. So San Junes, you know, things like that. And I thought it was what my kids order when they get nuggets, a little bit of Aolian on the side. But yeah. [laughter] Yeah, and of course. Big more wind carved sort of, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, San Junes is a good one. That was one that we often referred to. Well, I tell you what, the king is named this horse beautifully, Niko, because it's by fast and at rock out of desert breeze. So very well known. Well, here you go. There you go. Somehow, I think he might have not been behind the naming. Maybe someone had just furthered out in the show. But anyway, look, I was sort of similar. Like I went looking for, I think $5.50 short enough, the 50 kilos is a big tick. But, um, you know, I was sort of looked at this race and thought, stop the rocks flying. He got out to $10 some places. Yes, so now he's back into sort of five or six. I don't know if there's a lot of value there. The horse we're going to go with, who I think can really improve here, out to this distance range is beach pad. I think he's been really ticking over well for Shane Jackson. I liked his wind at Swan Hill. Then he blew the start up, floating in in the David Burke. We started 10 bucks against Al Jucca, Seafalls and George. I think it's better form than a few of these horses than last start. He had the right sort of run, but I think he's looking for 2,000 now. So I'll make him one of the better values of the, uh, value plays of the day in beach pad. But yeah, stop the rock and MacDane. I want in the quality as well. So you want to go to six and 10. Two, six and 10. So good value there. MacDane's $4.80 since the sixth, which is stocked the rock at $6 for the Patrick Payne's table of the 10 beach pad Shane Jackson. Top-flut $14 with the year you bet now into $12. Or put a nice bit of juice into the quality. So you give him Shane Jackson. He said 39 winners this season. Talk about a breakout season for a trader. And he's striking at 13.8%. And he's also had 37, 39 second and third place get it. He's building a really good team and reputation as a trainer, not just of jumps horses, but all types of horses. Michael, do you remember when we were down at Warnemble and we were enjoying the hospital tailings? The hot toddy's. Yeah, those little sneaky hot toddies there after the, uh, after last on day one, um, Shane was telling us that he thought the key to his success, particularly this season was the Flemington stables and being able to take, isn't there, particularly his younger horses to be able to take them out of the country environment and into the busier Flemington environment and just, I don't give them that experience, which is probably more similar to a busy Saturday race day. So yeah, interesting, uh, two stable operation now is doing a lot of case on the car I would assume. Yeah, that is a very good trainer. Last race at Core Ferdinand, do we trim the quality here boys? Are we getting carried away? I'll be watching when I was overseas. The preparation of cruise of weight who has looked a really nice horse. Um, he's pretty tight in the market now. Uh, you need about put him up $2.30. He's into $2.10. Uh, Willow rides, the team haves, others in the market, Marshala, which I think is a very promising horse indeed. I actually had a chat that I was in here earlier in a week about his spring contenders on the verdict and he nominated this horse as one of his, um, flying under the radar up and coming. The curins got a big opinion of it. It's $7.00 in the past 50 with you bet outside of those. Um, it's Celtics at $8.00, double figures, the odds. What are you doing in the last? Nicko? The chips going in. I was getting this horse last start and I'm going to stick with him here. I think he's, uh, I just think he's really talented going forward. I loved his win last start. It was off a fast tempo where he was held up coming into the straight. You know, you just, I think treated his rivals with content on that occasion and I think going forward, he's even going to be sort of better suited in a race shape like this where he probably doesn't have to beat his top for so long. So, uh, I think he's really talented all's going forward. There has been some big wraps in terms of, you know, comparing him to Mr Brightside. But I think he has a similar profile to you. You know, Mr Brightside's, uh, gentlemen Roy, Riser Dorm, where the haze team just took them through the grades and they just continue to win. So I think he's going to find out profile and be winning again here. So he's my best today, cruiserweight. I think in time, he might be a horse as a group one talent, whether that's this spring or not, I sort of wait to find out. Might be sort of this time next year, but I think he's a very talented horse. So he's won out in the quality. Even if I'm alive by then, I might sort of have a saver or two. One horse I thought, run a big race, he was a Hotaa Senche. Don't know if he can beat the favourite, but I definitely have something on him if we're alive in the quality. And even Foulsett's dark and probably improved. They'd be the two sort of chop out of massive odds. But yeah, I think you'll just win cruiserweight. I think he's a very smart horse. No thoughts from our Charlotte or not a wrap for this horse? I didn't mind his win at Senche and on the lake so I was there that day, but I think he looks a horse a six months away. I'll back him if he goes to Sydney, but I'd be happy if he came out here because cruiserweight I think will just handle them no matter what. So if he's here or not, I don't really care. So if he goes to Sydney, I'm going to have two bets. I think he's staying. I think he's staying in Melbourne. So what are we doing, Shark? Are you as confident as Nick O'Neal and who's coming home one out? Who's the weight in the last league of the courty? Yeah, I'm putting in our Charlotte as well. I'm not letting Jave's under my guard if I'm coming home in a courty. He's definitely in there, but cruise away to really nice horse and well, comparisons aside, I guess, well, I want to compare horses to other great to the past, whether he gets to stakes level like, you know, say a riser dawn or gentleman Roya, whether he gets to group one star like Mr Brightside's all for the future to tell us. Enjoying for what he is at the moment, which is a horse that can put money in your pocket in the last a core field. He should be winning this sort of thought. Marshal, I like goes in next again, progressive horse doing its thing, going through the grades, made into a 66 is not as easy as some people would make it seem, jump to the speed, kicked away, good city wing, second start in its career. It's going somewhere as well. They are the two in the last four me. Okay, so cruise away, Marshal, Charlotte, Sharky comes home with two and six. So Sharky's potty punters, if you want to write this down firstly, one, four, seven and ten into two, three, seven, eight into six, nine, eleven, fifteen, coming home, two and six Nick Nounan's quoddy on bletchingly stakes, three, seven, ten, firstly, loading up the second, two, three, six, seven and eight, then two, six, ten, coming home, all chips in cruiser weight, two, one out in the last leg. Nick, are you any back specials and pains of the day at core field? Yeah, we're playing the first and the last pretty confidently, but cruiser weight is definitely the best of the day for me. So race nine, number two, think you'll just win. Race one, number three, customs very well set up in race number one. I think you can be playing her and then for Rario, how does the best value race six, number ten? I thought Beachpad was also a good value race eight, number ten as well. Quoddy, three, seven, ten, two, three, six, seven, eight, two, six, ten and one out with the good horse. I like it. Oh yes, century, that's, century, that's for me best is race one custom. Next is race nine, cruiser weight and I think for Rario's a great, very bad. As far as other angles on the day that I'm, I'm kind of really like the two-wheel race, then Garners' a car, testing that blue diamond form is important. So we get to do that again with Garners a car and also Millson's point and you're gilded version in that race. Well, that will be a race worth watching and paying attention to. Tennessee Bound is obviously very interesting in the third and then I think there's some depth. to race for. It wouldn't surprise me for a signature cent fan if that horse's price drifts a little bit. I think they'll come for far-sighted express class and a couple of others in there that are a little bit underestimated. I think they're market at the current time. All right. I love the confidence both of you boys. Very keen race number one and the value play of the day and around about $18, which is just magnificent. Race 6, number 10 for RIO. I'm going to give you a uni bit multi for the weekend just to give you a little bit of excitement throughout the day. We're going to kick off with custom $270. The win at race 1, number 3. We'll lend head across to the shorty, which is just the little bit of bank building juice on top Tennessee bound at race 3, number 3. I'm then going to put in AOLI. How will we say this? AOLIUM? Just to run a place. Just to run a place. That is race 8, number 15, $1.95. I respect Cruiserweight. Probably the one to beat. I think Marcia will run a hole and we can get almost the same price and run about $1.90. Marcia. That gives you about $13.50. If custom wins, I'm going to be sitting pretty comfortable. I think Tennessee bound wins. Remember, Michael, when you can take one winner at $1.45. That's fine. Just remember when you're trying to remember the name or how to pronounce the King's horse's name. AOLIUM. It's shaped by the wind much like your current hairstyle at the moment. You've got quite the AOLIUM. It's more silver, unfortunately. Wind swept is exactly right. I'm wondering, Master, I saw Nick. I thought he's here, might have been a touch lighter. I'm wondering if he's going down the Nick Quinn, a little bit of die work going in there. Is there anything like that, Nick? It's looking very Ray Martin. Let me shut the moment. Nothing for me. It's just one area I don't have a lot of care for. No, no work. I'll tell you what, it's depressing. I've got a number of text messages yesterday from people who still read news papers, obviously. Apparently, there was an article in the age yesterday about a disgruntled owner who's not happy that the family name's been removed from an upcoming feature race at Corefield. But the photo that they used of this disgruntled gentleman is one where he's presenting me with a trophy 10 years ago. I thought I was going quite well as far as the color of my hair. I thought I couldn't have changed that much in 10 years. Oh my God, it was jet gorgeous jet black. So a bit of a reality check there and didn't friends and family remind me of it too. And dare say there would have been a fair bit more than what there currently is there as well. I didn't say, I didn't make that point to the color might be different, but the, let's say, the amount of territory that takes up on my scalp looks about right. Very good. Anything out wide Nico that we can play this weekend, we got the lightning over in Adelaide. Yeah, I did a stack of form yesterday and went through a few of the featureacings. I thought Calvary girl would be incredibly hard to bet in the lightning. She was very good last start. At 1100 meters, I think she's way better suited to that 1,000 meter distance range. I think she goes straight to lead. I see she's been smashed in some early markets, but I thought she'd be hard to beat. And in terms of one other, this was needs another win, but I do think he's well set up. But we're going to Motoha in the last race eight number two, DeGari for the O'Sullivan team. I thought he could be hard to beat there. So he's another bit of a get out for me on the day. I love it. Race eight number two, Motoha and Calvary girl in the feature of the lightning race six number four with the unit bet two dollars 60. So still backable. Despite the good money coming for the Tom Dominic Gallup there. Anything for you, Sharky, be massive in a national race over this weekend that we're keen down to look at. Clan again going on taking on a really hot field. Yeah, Clan against the highlight in Tom. He runs it's a highlight overseas for sure. I thought there was a really good storyline in that lightning stakes. Number nine, never ordinary for Biron Cosmars. $1,250 they paid for it online. She's already a stakes winner. She won the Decaturville. She listed plays so she's worth a hell of a lot more than she was when they plucked her from obscurity from English digital. So another win for the players who like to shop on the digital trading platforms. Love it. Boys, you enjoy your weekend back plenty of winners. Summary:

FAQs

The Bletchingly Stakes is a group race held at Corfield on Saturday, marking the end of the racing season and a sign of spring approaching.

The track is rated a soft six, with possible rain predicted around one to three millimeters, which could push it to the worse side of soft or potentially heavy.

The rail is at 10 meters to provide the best ground, with the inside to middle likely preferred, but marking from previous meetings may cause it to edge off later in the day.

UniBet offers a bonus back if your horse runs second or third in races one to three at Corfield and Randwick, plus same-race multi insurance in races four to seven.

Custom is the favorite at $2.76, coming off a strong first-up run on soft ground, with James Johnson taking three kilos off, making her a confident selection.

The tip is for Winner's Edge, a track specialist who enjoys Corfield on soft tracks, based on his last two starts.
