Welcome back Flurs. Thank you for joining us. Either for the first time or joining us once again. I am homeboy who lost that game of pool against Beyoncé as well as she said, I whooped you, I whooped you, it did not matter boo, I whooped you. And I'm big Michael, Michael, and this is the read. Thank you for tuning in. See what it like, I'm going to flip. I don't even know what that is. I have not seen whatever that is. I just know that I heard someone on Twitch who kept saying it over and over and over. Yeah, it's great. And Niggas laughing about it. And I'm like, is this some like song? I'm supposed to make some like kitschy new song. It did get snow by. I don't know. It's a tick tock. It wasn't until you said it just now that I realized, oh, okay, this is gonna see a tick tock. Yeah, it's great. It's great. People are putting on Michael Jackson makeup to the song. And it's just, I would say this is my, I just go around saying big, big, big, big Michael, Michael, I just cannot get enough of his solo areas. So, is this is the guy who is doing the Michael Jackson? Is this just a rapper? Oh, no, I don't even know who the person is who like created the audio. I don't work. Okay, no, I have no idea how it started. I'm like, I don't know if this because I know there's a nigga on tick tock or somewhere that it like is a Michael Jackson impersonator. So now I'm wondering if it's, you know what? I don't think so. I don't think so. I just think it's ghetto and stupid. That's fun. Yeah. Welcome back to the program, everyone. I hope that you're doing well. We're gonna start our usual judge with some black excellence. And you know what? I'm gonna just give today's black excellence over to the folks who have created this wonderful home. In the state of Texas. And their names are Beyonce. And how you rolled in. And Miss Tina Vennon's. And this is like, so they're basically creating a, like a home for Houston families or families. Who need support in housing and it's called the Nulls or Olden House. And basically it's a big gorgeous compound for people to stay if they need someplace to stay. It looks like it's being bread of life incorporated. I think here's a company behind it says it's just banding its legacy, it's compassionate innovation by launching new housing projects that provide safe, dignified living environments paired with comprehensive round surfaces empowering residents to achieve lasting stability. Yeah. I think I saw the, the whole like unveiling or whatever it was last week. And you know, obviously everybody looks beautiful. Blue is looking just like her mama. Roomie looking like somebody had to threaten her like girl, please sister. Like I will give you, I'll give you so many skittles. So just I need you to just sit tight, please. She look like her sister. Yeah, she does. But yeah, I think bread of life is actually associated with a church in Houston. And I'm not sure if that's the church they used to go to or what. But yeah, it's them. It's obviously beyond saying Kelly is Harris County also chipped in to like help pay for all this because it's not just apartments. It's also mental health counseling and all other kinds of support services because getting people housed is just one step. Like you you end up needing a lot more to like remain housed and kind of get yourself together. This is an unfair world. So shout out to very rich people doing something to help those of us on the unfair side of things. This is beautiful. Yeah, it says it includes 16 apartments. Harris County committed approximately $7.2 million in federal pandemic recovery funding. So yeah, it is your right that there is there are different facets of of this program and this initiative passed just the housing. Yeah, it says it's supportive housing apartments for individuals who experience chronic homelessness. Yeah. And and giving people the training and tools and resources they need in order to take care of themselves. Like a lot of people who end up unhoused are youth who aged out of foster care. And so you you end up not really knowing the things you were supposed to have been taught. I mean, basic stuff like hygiene and how to literally take care of your body and yourself. So it's just all kinds of things that they're doing with this when I saw this whole, you know, whatever. I went and read the news stories about it. And I was like, you know, something holistic and comprehensive. I mean, although housing by itself is huge, don't give me wrong, but yeah, doing all of this to like try to help people really, you know, not better themselves, but just when you feel, yeah, yeah, because when you feel secure, you're able to do so much more. So this is yeah, this is really, really great. And correction to what I just said features 31 apartments, 16 of them are designed for residents with mobility or sensory. Oh my god. Yes. So half of them are for people. Oh my god. I love that. Yeah. Wow. And then like you said, it also comes with mental health counseling case management. Yeah. Substance abuse treatment and nutrition assistance too. So you got apartment and housing situation and pretty much most of the things, if not everything that you need, like crystals that to feel stable. Yeah. Oh, shout out to that beautiful, career woman, doing it again. Girl, you've done it again. And everybody in Houston, who's like, you know what? The world's shit. We've got money. Let's make it a little bit nicer for some folks. Because Lord knows the Texas government is not bending over backwards to take care of its people. Harris County might be doing a little something, but that overall Texas government, baby, you holds our on your own. So yeah, I love it. All right. Let's get into our hot topic section that we call hot tops hot box. Whatever you want to refer to this as we're going to start today's with a let's start with Carisha. Carisha's new debut solo album. Watch this has a track list that came out. The reason I'm mentioning it for two particular reasons. Watch this. D.I.S. Yeah, I just I just googled it. Oh, no. Well, you know what? I didn't think Spin that would be a hit and it was the song of the summer. So let me shut the fuck up. Yep. So it's got features on it. What is it? I haven't seen it songs like that. Um, I want to discuss some features. So you've got Travis Scott, you've got Kwevo, you've got Geherbo, my name is a hundred percent sure who some of these things are. You've got Bryson Tiller, well, baby, Kodak Black, the summer walker. I wanted to suggest the fact that there is record here with well, train and trick daddy. Oh, you're step parents. Day County featuring Rick Ross, but also Trina and trick daddy. So I'm so excited. I need to hear what that is. And then there's a song on here called Dear Blank. And they like blurred out the name, the blank, when they revealed the track list, but you can see that it obviously says dear JT. Oh, dear JT. Okay. I was scared it was dear, diddy. Oh, that is. Dear JT is way better. Thank you, God. Oh, because you know, Carisha is a bird. So thank God. Oh,
- Hey, all right, I feel better, all right. - All right. - Thank you, thank you, thank you, guys. - Thank you, guys. - That should be fun. - I hope it's like, hey, girl, we not fucking with each other right now. - Mm-hmm. - And things are fucked, we might not even be cool again, but love you, girl, and always will. - Maybe. - And, shout out to Miami. - That would be nice. I hope it's not a disc track. - I don't see why it should be. - Well, you know-- - Unless there's more to the story. - Right, maybe there's stuff going on between them, we don't know nothing about, but hold on, does that say letter to my man? - Letter to my wife, I don't know what that means. - Oh, her pussy. - Maybe her mom, right? - Mm-hmm. - Okay. - All right, yeah, well, I guess we'll see. I do like the album art, this really, it does give like Miami Vice the pink and the teal, and you know, the, she looks great, she's, Kareeshaw's always pretty, so. But yeah, I am looking forward to the song with Trin and Trick Daddy, I need to hear that, and I will be playing this, the dear JT. The rest of this, you never know, like you said, spin that. - Right, you never know, 'cause spin that. - Some of this, my gag is. - It's truly, it's not great, and yet I fucking loved it, so, especially when I heard it sped up, but eventually I loved the original, too. - You know, you had to convince me. - Yeah, no, it was your fucking read. You were so mad. - Yeah, you were a little mad. - No, I was just staring, and now I love it, so. - So, yeah, anything can happen. - Life. - I have heard this song FU, or Fuck You. I like that song, too. So, she might fuck around in, drop a bang, or. - She might, she really might. I mean, I don't think I would have ever seen that come in. If I could have predicted, either one of them would have like an incredible album, solo album I would have thought it was JT, but. - Same. - You know, the life is full of surprises, ain't it? - JT is currently going around being one of the most beautiful young ladies in the industry and a fashion baby, so. - Yeah, she is the one that. - Where to go next? No, I can't stop thinking about Big Michael Michael. - Me. - Big, big Michael Michael. - It's just so good. She robbed me like a motorcycle. Are we talking, is Megan on your list? - Yes. - Okay, all right. - Jesus. - Okay, no, this is not the impersonator person. I guess this is just some nigga name. - I told you, I told you, it's just somebody. - Interesting. Okay, so probably my favorite Tina Tuesday so far. - Yeah. - Yeah. - This one's, this is like a song, this is a single. - I mean, it should be, actually, one of these freestyle on streaming or something. Nigga, I'll buy your CD off your website, I just want to take these songs with me on the go. Like, I don't, I don't want to have to go on your YouTube. But yeah, I had to figure out how to put a YouTube video on repeat. I didn't know how to do that till a couple of days ago. - You can do that? - You can put a YouTube video, yeah. You just right click on the video and select loop and it will loop that video. I had to figure it out because, you know, I've been lustful for a while, (laughs) and she's obviously extremely fine in the video. But she is the combination of being so fine and incredible lyrics, incredible wordplay, a beautiful flow. Like, it's just, I had to immerse myself in this song. I'm obsessed. - Yeah, I found it difficult at first to hear the song because I'm just looking at her. - Yeah, I can't focus. She is so fine. - I want a doll of the look where she has like, the long, long hair with the bang and she has the shorts with them, long. - Yeah. - Oh, that is such, like, she just looks so kind right there. - At the very beginning of the video when she pops her ass to the beat. - Yeah. - I think I rewound that no fewer than 500 times. I cannot get enough of her. Like, I just wanna be near her. Oh my God, Jesus, Megan. - She'll probably do. I can't remember the name of that mix. Take that she dropped where she put all of the free styles on it. She'll probably put these on something. Like, whatever act three is or something, she might have like a, you know, put the free styles on me and there's some deluxe edition or some shit like that. But this one thin ice sounds like you could just go ahead and be a single. - Yeah, yeah. It's, it's, sorry, I just pulled it up again and now I'm transfixed. Damn, she's fine. What was we talking about? Music. - Wow. - So good, great words. Yeah. - Possibility of these free styles being. - Right, right, right. She did mention, you know, get ready because mama's going on tour or something like that towards the end of the song. - Oh yeah. - Like, oh, don't worry, I am ready, Megan. She is my, I've never been so inspired by someone younger than I am. This, I, I need everything about making this style. You're like, I just need that energy in my life. I need that beauty and confidence and strength and that glitter on her spine, nigga. Like. - I love what she said. I'm not going to get the exact words right, but what she said, he said, I'm his baby. I told him a boy. - Say I'm his baby, I told him a boy that put me to the 10, like I multiple choices. - That was my favorite line in the fucking song. She said, I'm fucking this nigga. He think I'm gonna make him a father. Nigga, I'm smarter than that. But I, I beat it. - Oh, Megan. Yeah, she is really that girl. - Have you been getting into Dochi's swamp sessions? - I would love to say yes. I have them all bookmarked. - Okay. - But for some reason, yeah, no, I know they are. - Actually the last one. - I know they are because every time I see a new one, all the comments and it's like, people whose opinions I respect, everybody is like, oh my God, Dochi, chewed, absolutely ate this the fuck up. So I'm like, yeah, I really need to. And then for some reason, I just can't stare in a wig. Like, I just keep going back to Megan. I cannot leave her alone. Oh my God, it's really, it's turning into a problem. - I feel like they've been dropping these. I don't know if you call them like teaser singles or freestyle. I feel like they've been kind of dropping them on the same day. Who I think I've heard last Dochi won cat woman came out this on Tuesday. And I'm like, well, a double helping a bad bitch was who wrapped. This is my birthday. - Yeah. - So I'm excited because both of those women are working on new bodies and music, new projects. - And I would love for them to be on each other's projects. - Oh, that would be. - That would feed the lesbians for years. The suffix of the willow community. Oh God, especially because Max says, she need a girlfriend like Tony Chiles. You know how many bitches were like, get the fuck out of my way. It's tough. I'm ready to grease up my elbows and my knees and I'm getting in line. Like Maggie, you cannot play with the, I know you buy or you like to kiss girls or whatever however you identify. I know, but you can't play with the lesbians like that because they for real, first of all, we already believe you men don't deserve you. Which I think actually everybody believes. I think that's a universe of opinion, right? That men don't. - I've been asked this girl to be gay forever. - You can't, you can't let the willow willows think they actually have a shot, which you. (laughs) Homes will be destroyed. Marriages will end. Gosh, she is so fine. - Where'd you say she got with Britney right now? - I have no choice, but to respect it. I have no choice. - What? - I have no choice to be able to, can I watch, I will pay. You have no idea how much I'll pay to watch that. And I'm so for real. I've never been more serious about anything in my life. Take my 401k, (laughs) drain it, I need to see that. - Yeah, yeah, put that on the only fence. - Yeah, I love it, ladies. - Oh, up here, there was a female rap time. - Yeah. - New Kareisha. - Oh, yeah. - Upcoming Megan and then Delci. And the girlies are here. Remember that one lady who rapped for like a long time? - No. - She's just, I think she was from like Queens or Brooklyn or something. - No, I think it's probably over for whoever that he is, but for the rest of the girls. - Other name. No.
it's funny how her, she used to have stands and they literally don't even have nothing to talk about no more because she doesn't do music. So there's just nothing else to talk about. I don't know where they are but they're not, they have no work to do. So right. They look her I'm like, I guess. Yeah, we, it's time to go voted. I don't know. Yes, take out dumbasses. Well, vote right. Don't vote if you know if you're gonna vote. Yes, don't vote for what she talked about. Right. Don't let that bitch hit one with you. Um, Maggie. Um, I mean, yeah, let's move on. Sorry. Sorry. Meek Mills is that he can sell out Madison Square Garden or Barclays Center. He has 45 days of promo. Um, by himself. No openers. No co-ex. I mean, they would likely have openers, but I think he's saying if he has lines, it will stop. You know, I think I could give him Barclays with a month plus of promotion. There's only the, there's only a thousand seat difference between Barclays and the garden. Barclays 19 K, the garden is 20. I think you could do Barclays with 45 days of promotion, excellent marketing needs to have a new project. It's not giving medley and like insane promotional campaign. But just being like versus T, I could just pull up to Barclays and it would draw. No, no, no. I don't feel secure in his ability to do that, especially as a solo act. Like, it needs to be meek Mill featuring Jay-Z or somebody like it needs to be him and somebody else, I think, to sell 19,000 fucking tickets, especially because I see that he is scheduled to play the nightmare on channel side event. Some kind of festival or something, but I would guess something that is headlined by Kevin Gates, Kodak Black featuring the baby. Right. You lost me with them first three child. So why not let's focus on Philly venues. Let's look at Philly venues you could sell out because I was going to say the exact same thing. I don't think so, buddy. Why the two why to New York? Right. Well, even Lincoln Financial said, oh, that's 70,000. Never too much dip on YouTube. Okay, well, as far go center 19,500. There we go. Let's focus on it. Everybody's heard of Madison Square Garden. Well, I mean, and for a very good reason, Barclays is nice, but it's relatively new. But still like this, that's a lot of fucking people outside of your city. You have to remember New York City is stuffed full of people who have other shit to do. I don't think 20,000 of us are going to buy tickets to see make mail by himself. I do not think so. I do not know. I mean us, you know, us is strong. 20,000 of like us, you know, because I don't think I'm trying to see what inspired this conversation. Like is he beef with somebody from New York? That's an excellent question because how did this even come up? Who was he even talking to? Be in it. Yeah. Oh, oh, okay. The same thing. A.I. Chatbot or whatever. I regret looking this up. Oh, no. What is it? How do hip-hop says the statement came? Statement comes after a stretch of headlines focused on meat mills social media back and forth with DJ academics who isn't a DJ. I've never heard about this smart, this person mixing a song, presenting a disc, nothing of the sort, moving on. Apparently academics was critiquing meek mill in his booking rates, alleging that he had inside information about what his rate is to perform a show claims that there aren't any festivals willing to make meek a headliner because he's allegedly asking for 300,000 dollars in the past. No, I knew it cannot add up some petty shit. I knew it then. Why are you going to make me sit with academics? I won't do it. I'm just going to stay out of it. Well, first of all, if you, if meek actually is charging 300,000 dollars to headline, I mean, know your worth or whatever king, but yeah, I see why nobody would book you for that because that is a lot of money for meek mill. Secondly, 45 days of promo, like 45, you're giving people 45 days notice? Why 45? Why not 50? But with the cost of everything, people already don't have a bunch of extra money to spend. The tickets are going to be expensive as shit. Most of your, well, not most of your fans, but probably a good chunk of people who want to see the show would have to arrange for transportation and housing on top of the ticket price. I do not, I don't see it. No, not with 45 days or 450 days of promo. I don't see it either way. Wow. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe with somebody else Kanye. Oh, oh, no. Speaking of shows in New York City, do you want to talk about Tajrik Hall's headline making critically claimed new theater musical Midnight in which deep a trace, a slave, who falls in love with a white slave master or a slave master sign is some shit. And then they sing songs that sound like, you know, Lin, Lin, Lin Manuel Miranda's baby cousin wrote them. Yeah. I mean, we can. I have not seen the show and won't see it now that I know the premise of it. But I have heard horrible things from black people and beautiful glowing things from white people, which pretty much tells me all that I think I need to know about this show. I've heard that the cast is great. Like these are great actors, beautiful singing, beautiful songs, you know, great choreography, great, great gowns. However, the the runtime is too long. The and then the storyline itself is like, nigga, what are you talking about a slave and his master fallen love? And then they switch, they have some kind of freaky Friday switching places type situation, which is like, nigga, what? What are you talking about? And then he's been going back and forth, arguing with people on social media about it. I saw Ches Galisa and I know, look, I didn't tell this nigga to his face that I'm tired of him being a fucking coon. But also Coons make money. The show just got extended. It was supposed to wrap. I think in a couple of weeks and now it's extended for another few months. So, you know, as irritated as the rest of us might be by the the black people who choose to act like this and sacrifice their racial dignity for white approval and white dollars. If fucking works, white people love to see shit like that. So he's exactly where he wants to be. So here's the thing. I don't even know where to begin. When I first heard about this, I was not offended. It didn't upset me. I was initially frozen in extreme shock. And then I laughed for maybe like two minutes because it's ridiculous. A slave named D'Areal because he was born by D'Areal Road. Yeah. Yeah. Like it's ridiculous. So I laughed for approximately like 120 seconds, maybe more. And then I thought, well, Todd, like of course, like, of course. So I know I saw a lot of people on internet, including Niggas who were like, oh, well, you haven't seen it. If you haven't seen it, then you shouldn't comment on it because you don't know that. And I would counter that by saying, I don't care. I don't think anybody cares. Personally, I would not comment or critique on the product.
I mean, I'm not gonna make any assumptions about the singing I have not heard it have not seen it. I'm not gonna make any assumptions about the acting, the choreography or even the overall meaning or feeling of the show because I have not watched it. I'm never going to. What I will say and I think that other people who feel some type of way are permitted to say is don't about you need this. I'm never going to be interested in watching anything surrounding slavery, specifically the slavery of black Americans anytime soon if ever again in my life. And I have said this long before this. I don't care if it's good, bad, somewhere in between. I just don't need any more slave for me. I don't. I don't. So this could be a critically acclaimed slave as play presented by Debbie Allen. And and fucking Audra McDonald. And I will still say God bless y'all won't be there. Todrick not getting me out my seat. No shade. God bless everybody else involved. I don't need to see this. And to what you were saying before. Two things that you mentioned one of them being with the meet no situation. Tell people all you need to come see it with what. Oh, yeah, because the tickets are well, they were more expensive and then the show got extended so the price dropped, but still a couple hundred dollars probably to go see this show that I'm not spending. So to travel to New York, right to find some place to say New York to pay for the money to go see this show that I don't want to see at all. That doesn't doesn't call for free. And then pass that. I believe that people specifically black Americans are allowed to critique are having an open opinion slash discussion about the existence and production of stories like this full stop. I think niggas have to see this to say don't nobody need this. I don't want to watch this. Furthermore, if you know, like the Broadway community is filled to the brim with like you said white people who go there to feel culture. And they go there to walk away from stories like this and be like oh, profound. Yeah. Yeah, you know, I'm saying a couple a little bit of their white girl. I'm good. And they are the ones who have the money. So again, if you cater to those people. That that is that is financial success. That is success in the in the sense of like the show doing well, but I would not be able to live with myself. If I was taught to call, I don't think I would be able to sleep at night knowing that I was putting nothing but coonery out into the world. Every single time I decided to do something. That's why he's so talented too. Like you said, he's exactly where he wants to be. He said that he knew in creating this the show that it would cause controversy or discourse or whatever he knows what's what's going on. And he decided to make the story anyway, because he knew what theater gives. And I think he knew that it was like an express ticket until white people going, and he made it into Tony's. Yeah. And now Niggas feel about it would always take the third seat, the last seat on the fucking vehicle. Yeah. Because like when has that ever been a concern. I mean, I, I'm not going to even try to make sense out of nonsense. As soon as I heard the premise of this show, it was a hell no for me. I'm not going. I left so bad. Don't even invite me. I don't want to see it. I was like, of course, that's the case. Of course, that's what it is telling me that Tadrakall made a slave play about a slave father and love with a white man is like telling me that Tom chase Jerry. That is the natural order of things. Whatever. But it could be phenomenal and life changes. But for those of you who are like, oh my god, I know you have to see it. It's so great. Congratulations. I'm glad you got something out of something. Like Chris said, he is incredibly talented. I love it if some of that talent was used for something decent. But God blesses everyone. I'm not going to burn this this quaint at the stake. I just, I don't care. And I don't want to be involved. No, I can't think of anything Tadrakall has done that I have been interested in. That's just him and his what he chooses to do with that immense talent that he has. There's never been for me. Jay Z will apparently be performing at the the Super Bowl halftime show. The streets have have comments and they have questions. I don't know if this has been officially confirmed, but I keep reading that it has that it's it's official. So the overall social media commentary seems to be, you know, when you're boss gave himself a promotion. I don't have a strong opinion on this. I'm rarely that invested in whoever is announced. I think the last performer that was announced and I was like, was Kendrick. I knew bad bunny would be see. Oh, yeah, it was bad. Far exceeded my expectations. So good. But as far as this, I know Jay Z is in the middle of celebrating his this career anniversary or whatever. Oh, yeah, there was a down anniversary. Full force with documentaries and sold out shows all over the place. So I suppose, you know, that makes sense. And he's super well. Appropriate in terms of the size of his. Yeah, you know, worldwide influence and stuff. But the thing I think that makes me the most excited about the possibilities because Beyonce will be performing at the Super Bowl. I get very, very likely that lead is no step on the stage. Unless you want to do her one, two, like she did on her birthday and just get it, you know. A little wine drunk or whiskey drunk and just sweep her hair around and things like that. But you know, the girl who's saying, mom has got her, she's performance ready. She got her stage body. She has any against it. Oh, she got a thigh gap, y'all. We in trouble. But yeah, a lot of people are wondering who would come out on stage with Jay Z. I guess the possibilities are kind of endless huh? I mean, they really are, he has made hits with a bunch of people, but also you can bring other people in who are not on those songs to do those songs. So it's possible. It's just hard for me to spend a lot of time thinking about it because I have not seen a reputable source yet that has explicitly named their source. They either redirect to something called Puck News, which I've never heard of, or it's like an end, an industry insider confirmed to deadline. Like, okay, girl, who put a name on it? Because until the official announcement comes out, I just cannot get to attach to the idea. But I knew that the high would be like, so how many songs is Beyonce doing that? I knew that was going like, y'all, that lady, that lady go to the Super Bowl. I could really see her being like, I literally just came because I heard y'all had great chicken tenders at this stadium. And so, yeah, I'm going to be sipping myself Davis and cutting up chicken tenders for my kids, but literally, but y'all have fun. That would be so kind to me. What's the matter, say? I lost my train of up there, but yeah, I agree. It hasn't even been confirmed yet. Like I said, I keep looking at these articles are like, oh, it's confirmed. It's the truth. And I'm like, where's the? Says who? Announce. Right. I don't see any. The NFL normally will announce their halftime performance. They haven't done it. I don't know, you know, and J.C. I don't get right. Y'all gonna gag when J.C. is like actually Miss Rachel is performing. So I don't know what. You actually got grace in my age. Yeah. Y'all gonna gag when it's Miss Rachel and meek Mill. After he sells out Barclays and the garden. It's just meek Mill and you get like a, you just got a pan shot. You just got a world like a, a scroll around the whole stadium. And it's just niggas drinking soda.
to talk now he could sell out the garden if he had Miss Rachel on the ticket No, now that's a bitch who brings in money the kids love And she loves the kids truly does all of her what you have to say about it. Yeah, that's her number one focus Okay, so I don't know what the fuck this the situation is with 50 cent and Rick Ross, but my mom is here can't Basically Rick Ross and his son seems like he was the victim of a pistol whipping essentially or allegedly Couple of days outside buffoon. Oh She did somebody call somebody a buffoon I said outside of buffoon Okay, I thought you said outside buffoon. I'm like who caught somebody on outside That's actually fine. I might use that later. Yeah, you're outside This is outside but then cookman university which as a Florida nigga that That That strikes me as yeah A man named Don Roberts the third who sounds like he shouldn't be pistol whipping anyone Was arrested caught aggravated assault aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and 50 cent who Has to be miserable Without question You know decided to troll because he hates Rick Ross Rick Ross hates him I'll say just go ahead and fuck but they hate each other and So 50 cent let me jump on here and troll this man's son who was hit with a gun Because that'll be funny or whatever so He is taunting the sun mocking the situation um And claims that he's going to try to fight for Don Roberts to be Released get him an attorney all his dumbass should just to be a dick here. Yeah, so let me tell you To your camp then said well, I'm gonna jump in chat and I'm gonna discuss your 14-year-old son and claim he has you know issues developmental issues oh Okay, like when karate said your favorite your son favorite color is five. What if she said Favorite number is yellow something like that She also talked about his son that he on claim his big mama who is in that sex paper privy All of those things right then allegedly She said she received a cease and desist from 50 cent in his lawyers Um demanding that she shut the fuck up talking about his son sire And the reason I feel like this could be true Is because it says don't talk about sire and not the other one Damn, it doesn't say don't talk about my children. Yeah, it doesn't say don't talk about my baby mama Don't talk about my family. It says don't talk about this one boy. Right Well, but never mind. I have a feeling you're not done To come vent basically blasted this she doesn't give a fuck she doubles down on it She says we got ours too, which I think means lawyers A lot of the posts that she made initially have been taken down, which I think also bring some credence to this What she calls cease and desist claim But her The rants tirades and reads have not ended and um Such a funny face like her face that she just makes funny faces all the time Like this photo they use Dollar alerts Instagram A lot of comments I've seen from people have been like 50 what did you think was going to happen when you talk about somebody's Thank you and that somebody is to you can't like you felt like you was going to jump out the the window and talk about some of these kids Who just got smacked what a pistol allegedly and they were not going to sound off about you a yo-kids and your wide open terrible relationship with the oldest one right Exactly and now you're setting legal papers bitch For some shit you have done like you also that you you literally antagonize these people That's her son who got his ass pistol whipped that you was talking about like yeah, you was you know Trying to get under Rick Ross's skin, but that's her kid Now don't agree with making fun of children with you know intellectual disabilities or developmental delays or whatever Like I that's not cool either, but you as a terrible person should not be shot That's somebody else is going to point out or make fun of your kid or you know say things like that to piss you off Because that's the exact type of shit that you do You are getting the energy that you put out into the world Yeah, hmm This is so ghetto and so stupid you niggas it really is y'all need jobs Everybody needs to clock in somewhere And remember that it is not any fun when they grab a cup right And Tia Kemp has never been no quiet shy demure respectful woman Not once in our life That lady is She is a fucking pit bull I don't know why you thought she was gonna talk about her son make fun of her son for getting pissed a whip and thought She wasn't gonna bring up your key hits you just insane that you thought that County there you go That lady don't give No, folks. I don't know what the fuck you thought this was and you always be trying to troll troll troll Until you meet yo match and oftentimes it's not even a bit since you directed it towards Like tiny kids who right and I will never let go of the nothing That was great Even entered the booth for the first time in like 20 got in years and they Crushed yeah, that was really strange alone You here trying to talk Rick Ross me. Well, I don't know if this nigga said nothing me While the the son's mama been out here dragging you by your jails and now you out here talking about Ceasing and desisting. No, I don't think no No, you jumped into my son case talking about you were gonna represent the the suspect the person who Allegedly smacked him with a gun a deadly weapon you jumped in here To know where trying to be petty talking about you go help get him out of jail. What the fuck you think? stupid You're actually in your 50s. Yeah, grow up. Yes, literally that Last but not least do you want to talk about this jalen hurts thing We can I'm so pissed. Oh, I'm mad. They almost killed my king Well, then it is time for No, we're not even gonna do it. We're not gonna do it good cuz Here you go you finna get half the facts wrong and you could just finish. Yeah, this is a little too. This is too serious It's too serious And honestly, I'm not even a hundred percent sure that I Understand a lot of it because there are parts of it that I think are specific to him playing Um, that I'm not enough, but let's just let me correct me if Okay, correct me on the parts of this that I might be okay haze you're incorrect on So for when it sounds like jalen hurts was having um some issue with uh his calf like he was having I guess pain or something like that in his calf you went to Uh, whatever doctors or whatever that I guess the Eagles gave him and They said to him that he was fine and you know, it was I think he said something about wearing cleats And so I guess they were just assuming that it wasn't something sweet procedure isn't that he'd be fine. They flew to London Yes And on the way to London people from the Eagles were telling the players to try to stay awake So that they would remain on east coast time, but they let him sleep apparently because of the leg They get to London Do their you know, whatever job he goes to see doctors out there they tell him he has a blood clot in his leg I'm doing right so far so far this is the fact that I know them It's only has a blood clot in his leg but he cool To play like he's cleared to play anyway Even though he was in the hospital till 4 a.m. on Sunday Wow Yeah, he goes back to play play the game They lose
He goes back to the doctor, now they're telling him that the blood class moved and it's in the lungs, now he has to, he's been hospitalized for a while, it was hospitalized for a while stable, but now he has to rest, stay on blood thinners for a few months. Now he cannot play, obviously, and I think that's the story, and so people are pissed off with the Eagles, and last thing I read is that the NFL basically cleared the Eagles of any wrong doing, so they're not being penalized for it. So that's about as much as I think I know. So I think maybe the, you know, players being told to stay up, I don't know if that was everybody, I do know that doctors told him not to go to sleep, him specifically. So he had been awake for 36 hours, including all that time in the hospital in London when he then went and played the game, and still had a good game, he did, even though the Eagles lost. And then I think one he got back, stayed side, it was like, oh, there's multiple blood clots in the lungs, so he's out for the rest of the season. But other than that, I think that's pretty much the story, and the NFL PA, the players association came out this morning and said, we're launching our own investigation, because fuck you mean the franchise player, franchise quarterback has multiple blood clots, and not only did y'all have him playing when you knew he had one, which is already fucking insane, plus no sleep. Now he's got multiple blood clots in his lungs and y'all talking about, oh yeah, the Eagles did everything they were supposed to do, bitch, I don't think so. And of course, black people are like, wow, you can be the star of the franchise, you can bring the franchise, the highest honor, the biggest ring, the championship trophy, you can do that. And they will still put your black ass risk to win a fucking game. Yep. To hopefully win a game, because you lost, but to hopefully win a game. That's how bad you didn't want to put your backup QB in. Really? Did his wife just have a baby, or she pregnant one of the other? What the hell? He could have legit died from this. I was, I'm great. Oh, I was, I'm great. Not my beautiful 90s fine king. How dare y'all? Literally, how dare y'all? Yeah, a lot of of fans are calling for Jalen Hertz to take legal action. Yeah. If I talk about, he should go ahead and say, I don't blame him. Like, having a blood clot in your leg when you run for a living. A lot. Yeah. And aggressively, and people know it seems like a bad idea. Multiple blood clots in your lungs is incredibly serious. And like you said, could kill you. Could never flown to London in the first place. And if the team doctors had had his health at top of mind, they would have never let him go. I'm sure his own fucking doctors would have never said, oh yeah, Jalen, get on an airplane, even though you have a blood clot in your fucking leg. Like, no, what do you mean? Everything Jalen Hertz has done for Philadelphia. This is how y'all repay him. Yeah. I'm glad he's okay. Thank God he is actually okay. But yeah, I hope he, I hope the NFLPA and steps up and does and advocates for him. But I'm not my, I'm not mad at you, so when I'm taking some of this billionaire white man money either go right ahead. If you want to be done with the NFL altogether, I could not blame you because this is some bullshit. It really is ridiculous. And it, yeah, there has to come a time where more players, I think, or whoever really has to make a difference can say, hey, these people are not toy soldiers. They're not action figures. They're not Pokemon cards. You're not simply just collecting and trading some sort of, you know what I'm saying? Tamagotchi or what? These are livings. There's a real person beings with families and the fact that most of you, mother fuck, is making these, these choices cannot run a single drill of anything. Oh no. I, I want you to do better and shut up. It's, it's a miracle that nothing severely terrible happened to Jalen Hurts. I just, I, I remain in a space of being so full of gratitude for that because this could have been so much worse. But Jesus Christ, the, the complete disregard for his life, put in the backup QB. I don't care if you have to lose every game for the rest of the season. And y'all might now anyway. But I don't care if you have, you, you know, you risk that man's life for a game that y'all ended up losing anyway. Child, child, child in the NFL just immediately like, oh, well, I don't see nothing wrong here. And Nick Seriani going out there. I have full faith in our team doctors and our team medical staff. Of course you do. Of course you, you have to say that. Of course you, you can't go out there and be like, I don't know what the fuck the ego is doing. I don't even think Nick Seriani was the right person to be addressing the media about the whole situation. Bring out the team doctor who told Jalen to just stay awake on the flight. And he'll be all right. Bring out that person. You cannot tell me that their best interest was not the team instead of Jalen's life and health. You can't tell me that. Right. That's probably the reason I was like, can you help me through this because I'm like, so he went to see multiple doctors in different continents. Right. And those were like, you're fine. Go play the football. Like she couldn't even even, she could have just like, okay, girl, just sit this one out. Sit this next one out going ahead. You two big for the program. You actually a bit bigger than the program. You actually are right. So why don't you go ahead and sit down, catch up on some love Island. Take again. What's coming to Disney Plus. They've got the ESPN package right in. Yeah. Girl, and we will talk to you when the doctor says, maybe your doctor, because we can't trust these bitches. But yeah, it is freaking to be like, you have blood clot, but go run, babes. Just stay awake. Like when you hit your head and they'd be like, okay, stay if you can't go to sleep for several hours, because if you go to sleep, you might slip into a coma, like, so then I probably shouldn't be playing a game where we run around and smash into each other. I probably shouldn't be doing that. Huh. If you have to tell him to stay awake. It's probably monstrous, bro. What do you mean? Yeah, like you said, glad to hear that he is doing okay that he'll recover. And I hope that there is some action taken whether from his side or the NFL PA or whoever to find he used to have dream. Not long ago. I think in college. Well, you know, God does the work. Um, right fine with the locks and fine without him. He's just a beautiful person. He's just gorgeous. Um, that's going to be it for the hot tops this week. Let's take a break and come back to read your letters. Welcome back slurs. We have returned and it is time to read, but you've got to say indeed, send your questions to ask the
[email protected]. We may read them a lot on the show. We do have an update this week from Norman. If you remember, Norman was like, I want to go upstay with my friend, but his bitch ass sister is going to be there too. And she all my nerves. So Norman said, love that one. Hey, y'all. So we did take the trip last weekend and as expected, my friend insisted on seeing his sister upstate. I was begging him to compromise and go meet his sister out for dinner drinks instead. But then he threw out his back. So I felt bad telling him that she couldn't come to the Airbnb and check on him. That's not funny. She's funny. Life works. She showed up with her new girlfriend. And I was very clear to my friend that they that if they stayed for longer than an hour, I was leaving for the day to go eat or shop or something. Thankfully, everyone was on their best behavior. She only got on my nerves a little bit and they did leave after that hour. The rest of the trip was lovely, but you're right that the bigger issue is me setting a boundary with my friend, not with his sister. So I'm planning to bring that up to him over dinner in the next few weeks. Thanks again for reading my letter and for all the laughs and shade over the years. Love you both, Norman. That worked out. Yeah. Yeah. Sometimes you just got a limit. I'm here to be gay. I'm here with my bitch here to just, you know, you good. You straight. That's fun to have. Right. All right. Good luck having that conversation. I was hoping that was going to be an update for
from Liz. - Liz. - The one who was like, "Oh, this man said, "don't be another nuller whales, brother." - Oh, no, but we did get quite a few, we got quite a few emails from white Mexicans who were like, "Liz, bitch, you tried it." So, (laughs) - Oh, interesting. - Your people are not on your side, girl. (laughs) - Damn. - Yeah, all right, our first letter this week comes from, hmm, hmm, you know what, speaking of Mexican Americans, this first letter comes from Daria, who says, "Hey, Chris Link if you're here." I'm a black woman whose work bestie Jane is a Mexican American woman. We're both managers and today Jane called to tell me about a situation that happened with my team. She asked one of my team members if a package had been delivered. The team member confirmed that it had and that she had given it to the person Jane ordered it for. Jane's response to this team member, who is also Latino, was thanks my ninja. She said this in front of my black direct reports who heard the in word instead of ninja. My advice to Jane was to remember that black people won't care that she didn't say the actual word when she says something that sounds so close to it. Jane said that she and her teenage sons talk like that at home. I know she didn't mean for it to-- - She and her teenage sons is what it says? - Yep. She and her teenage sons talk like that at home. I know she didn't mean for it to land the way it did, but she's also grown enough to know better. Why do I have to remind grown folks to read the room? I want to circle back and have a deeper conversation with Jane about this. How should I approach it? Any advice you can give is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Daria. - Why is it going on in the world? - Now I don't-- - There are so many issues with this. - The fact that this is taking place at work makes it-- - That was the first one for me. - I was literally thinking I could wrap this question up real quick. 'Cause I would go back to Jane and I'd be like, look, you have to go stop saying that shit or I'm going to HR. I don't know what to-- I don't know what else to tell you. - She sounds pretty good. - I don't even know why you would speak to me in my adult face and tell my black, grown face that you say it at home with your teenage sons. And so that's what it's giving. Do you see anybody's teenage son in here? - This is job. This is work. We don't care what you and your kids say at home. Go ask HR if you should be saying thanks my ninja in the workplace and see what they say. - I don't even-- I can't even say about it. - I'm gonna say it as a black person, I would not even say it. Why are you a non-black person saying thanks to my ninja at work? Why are you saying that? And then to be like, well, that's how me and my kids talk. Are we at home with you and your fuck-ass kids? Or are we at work? You don't know how to act at work. I'm shocked you made it to being a manager. I'm shocked you, you got up this high in the workplace. If you're saying and doing stupid shit like this and trying to justify it, like bitch, I'm trying to help you before one of my black direct reports goes to HR and says, "Hey, Jane is over here calling people ninjas and I don't like you, it feels very uncomfortable. It's too close to a racial slur and it is not appropriate for the workplace." There's not a single professional workplace where this is acceptable. - It's there, man. I just can't get over that's how me and my teenage son speed. First of all, your teenage son shouldn't even be saying shit if we're being honest. - Well, I would be like, oh yeah, their teenager is being on a damn sandwich. - They probably vaids too, yeah. - Whatever the fuck. - They do all kind of dumb shit. (laughing) - But is it Jenn A Day here at work? Is it like a RV? Is there some sort of fun office day thing where all the kids come dressed like they on the new different world? - Yeah. - I guess those wouldn't be Jenn A, kid. - But whatever, there are just so many layers to this. I think that if I were to speak to her again, I would respectfully say you have to stop saying this thing at work, I'm black, it offends me. First of all, HR would have quite a few things to say about it. And if I hear you say it again, or if I even read your lips from across the room and see it, I'm telling, I'm telling on you. - Yeah. - There is that. Also, I'm telling. - Every racial group has a slur. - All of them have a regatory term. Why does it always have to be nigga? Re-claim your own shit. - Right. - I mean, I'm, no. - That reminds me of the, you probably didn't see this, but it was like a white lesbian on TikTok who made a couple of years ago. She came up with this like, no, I don't, she's just some girl. But she came up with this, make your own carabiner kit, where you get like a carabiner, and then you get little trinkets and stuff to hang on it and stickers and things like that. And she was calling it the Build Your Own Biner Kit. And she didn't know that that was like a slur for Mexicans. And so all the comments, all the comments are Mexican people going, I didn't know we came in like a package girl. Like they are like funny, lighthearted, because it was clear she didn't know what she was doing. She apologized. Yeah, she immediately took down all the branding that said that and renamed it and called it something else. But still every time she posts, Mexicans being the comments like, hey girl. Just wanted to let you know that shit is still funny. But it goes, you saying that made me think of like, everybody does have their own slurs. Why don't you use something that sounds like a slur between two Latino people or two Mexican American people as opposed to hours? Why would you do it? But really at work, why wouldn't you just say, thanks, I appreciate it. Why do we need to be putting in some cutesy little nickname or, you know, substitute for a slur anyway? This is a professional environment. We're not ninjas. This is not a show gun, a dojo, a dojo, I don't even know. I don't know where it's at, where ninjas be. I don't know what it's called. Yeah, we don't work. This is not that. What the fuck are you doing? I'm so good. I'm thinking of paper Mario. Oh, I'm looking at the show gun show. I've never seen that. Are you? It's phenomenal. No, um, yeah, ridiculous. I had no idea what a carabiner is. Oh, it's Googling. It's a, it's a joke. No, people from the Caribbean, the Caribbean. First of all, I say Caribbean. Secondly, secondly, the carabiner is a, it's a joke in the sapphic community that is like one of those things where you can identify a die basically because they all have carabiner's because they all have a bunch of keys because they all are fucking abandoned and so I'm shit. So that's why this is a white mess when it was so excited because she was like, guys, you can customize your, oh, she was just so that first video. She was so excited and she was just speaking about it. And everybody was like, oh, she was like, you guys, I had to Google it. And I'm so embarrassed. I'd never heard of that. That is a hilarious, I learned many new things today. Look at that, like what that is called. Jane's really out of her mind for this though. Well, I would say girl, I'm trying to help you before you lose your fucking job behind this stupid shit. This is not the economy to be losing your job straight in a, right? It's actually being like, you know, offensive or whatever, I'm really trying to tell you bitch, you about to get fired. I don't even know if I would go around saying, hey, thank you, sis. Right. Getting all who it is. You know what I mean? Like, it was like my closest work friend and we had lunch or something like that. Only the two of us can hear. Right. Then I'll be honest. Thank you, sis. But then a gay man overhears and thinks she was calling him a sissy and so now everybody's in trouble. See? You see what this one I'm saying. You think you'll work. Yeah. I, that is wild that that's a thing that happened because I mean I figured I feel like if you, if someone whom the term apply, if they come to you and they're like, hey, no, I don't know why there would be a response. Right. And then there was you know to be an excuse and then the excuse is like me and my 14 year I'll say it all the time. Why do you say the things that your teenage and say? And again, look around is this your living room or is this a call center or wherever you work? Like what? Or is this the call center that explains? But still, you, you, you may not know you may not just don't do it. Yeah. Good luck. No.
- Sorry, Mexican. - Conversation, but. - Listeners, two weeks in a row. - I know. Somebody go right in one, like, now listen, we're not all out of our fucking minds. (laughs) - I live right here, with many of you Mexican-Americans. And what is the term that they use for Mexican-American people here? There's a term for Mexicans who are born and raised here, and I can't think of what it is anymore. Anyway, I probably shouldn't say it anyway. I don't think it's a term, but it ain't for me. - Right. But anyway, love y'all, love the culture down, living in a nice, warm, palm tree, flooded place with a large Latin community that isn't outwardly racist. - Nice. - Nice. (laughs) - I'm saying, nice, because it's nothing to ride around in a hood in a M-I-M-E-M, and she's pull up, has to keep in-house with a Trump sign out in front of her. And then you know, you can't burn it, and you're not also allowed to take the sign out of their yard, even though I did that should all turn. - Yeah, that is illegal. (laughs) - I never got arrested. - You did what you needed for them, right. Everybody got them doorbell cameras now, but back in the day? - Damn. - Back in the day, you used to good. - You can't get away with all. - Buck thing. (laughs) - It's a different world. - Toilet, paper, ink, TP, houses, ding dong, did you? You can't do none of that shit. - Right. Not to mention toilet paper and X, too expensive now, nigga. I'll be sure to ask that my X, speak the truth today. - That's back when you got my $2,000 X for $2,000. You can't, nigga. (laughs) - YouTube, somebody house, the streets might walk by and just pick a couple of pieces off, right? - I'm saying thank you. Is the sherman I'm rolling this shit right back up? - Right. - Going in my nose. - For some of this into my tell fee. - Interesting way to show charity and spread love, but I think I do appreciate it, but I dare you to waste my good eggs anyway. All right, our next letter comes from someone who calls themselves dead to me. And it goes, "Hi, Chrysler and Fury." My X passed away unexpectedly last week. We hadn't spoken in about six years, and I actually found out through a former friend who I'm also no longer in contact with. He was kind enough to reach out and let me know what happened. My X and I were together for three years, and I eventually found out that he had been cheating on me throughout our entire relationship. That's a big part of why we never maintained any kind of relationship after the breakup. One of the reasons I ultimately left Maryland was because I knew that continuing to run into him after learning the extent of the infidelity wasn't going to end well. I had a lot to lose, and I didn't want to put myself in a situation where anger or emotion could cause me to make an irrational decision. But now it's been six years and he's gone. I'm saddened by the fact that someone I once loved has died, especially unexpectedly. At the same time, I can't pretend that what happened between us didn't happen just because he has passed away. Obviously, there will be a funeral, and that's where my dilemma comes in. Would it be appropriate for me to simply to attend, simply to pay my respects and acknowledge someone who was once a significant part of my life, or given how the relationship ended and the fact that we hadn't spoken in six years, would you grieve privately, leave the past where it is, and then continue on with your life? I'm really interested in hearing how both of you would approach this. Thank you. - Thank you. It's dead to me. - A name. Honestly, dead. I. I think you do what you want to do. Like, I don't think I would attend the funeral out of obligation. I know that some people are like, well, you know, you pay your respects and that's what it's really about. But like, do I respect you? Do I respect the. Well, the relationship we had, or what have you, do I respect you? Do I feel like I want to be present to honor you and your life and things like that? I don't think there's anything wrong with grieving/having a little ritual or moment to yourself or maybe even a couple of close loved ones if you don't want to be alone. Having it for yourself, wrapping it up and then that being that. 'Cause my concern would be you placing yourself in an environment like his funeral and then all of the little. All of the little social components to it that might feel uncomfortable or agitating or what have you like. You know, that kind of environment can be very unpredictable. And I don't know how everyone else would react if they go expect you to be rolling around on the ground or kind of say something or whatever. I'll just say personally, if I were you, I would skip the funeral and do something for myself. Yeah, I think I would too. I don't think it's inappropriate for you to go, especially if you're not going to act a fool, but you know, it could be a situation where you go and you see his new partner or whatever. Maybe that was the person he cheated on you with or maybe there's other girls there or people there who have all slept with him. So you know, it might, it has the, it sounds like it has the potential to get messy. And you know that you have a very short temper. It, you know, it might be best that you not go, but it wouldn't be inappropriate if you did as long as you kept it cute. But if I were in this same situation, I guess it would depend on I'm trying to think of, I do have one X that I actually, you know, care about, we're still friends, but that's different from this situation. Something like this, I don't think yeah, I, I might go for the sake of like my own private nosiness, just to see what your, you know, service was like, look through the funeral, see the pictures, read the obituary, you know. I might go for those reasons, I probably wouldn't go to the burial, but I think this man was out of your life for a good reason and if you're his advice about, you know, just having some sort of private ritual to yourself where you like, you know what? It ended really shittily and it's just too bad that, you know, that's what our time together was like and that's how things ended up, but you know, I release you back into the universe or whatever and good luck in your next lifetime or whatever it is you believe in. And that is probably the healthiest overall option given that you were so full of anger for this person that you moved out of state like 'cause you know if you saw him, you might be asked like that. I feel like there's a high likelihood that you're gonna get triggered as fuck at that funeral so. - That's what I'm saying. - Probably should avoid it in that case, but good luck to you. Sorry, you know death and grieving, you just really never know how shit is gonna hit you. So I'm just doing it best. All right, our last letter this week comes from Sinclair. We actually had multiple people email us this week calling themselves Sinclair James and I was like, I'm gonna have to spread y'all out. Like I can't do. I can't do multiple Sinclair's in one week, but this Sinclair says. - Sinclair. - Hey, Chris Link, if you're any. I have a long time friend who unfortunately went through something extremely traumatic during our junior year of college and our friendship started to change. I became her emotional dumping ground, spending hours on the phone consoling her and making sure she was safe. By senior year, I was completely burnt out from school and just trying to make it to graduation. Meanwhile, she continued venting about her relationships and friendship drama without ever asking how I was doing. By coincidence, regime graduated the same day I was taking my graduation photos because her graduation was in May and mine was in June. And honestly, slipped my mind to congratulate her and her mom ended up texting me because regime was upset that I hadn't reached out. I apologize to her mom, explained how hectic my day was with taking pictures and studying for finals and then I sent regime a long congratulatory message. A few days later, regime texted me, saying I was a bad friend for forgetting to send her a message and that her mom shouldn't have had to remind me. I apologized and told her that wasn't my intention because I was busy but also that I hadn't felt supported either and that it hurt to have years of friendship seemingly erased over one mistake and that our friendship had become a one way street emotionally. We talked everything out over the phone and she promised to be more mindful of the emotional dumping. That lasted for about a week when she called me the day before my birthday, crying and in a state of extreme emotional distress. I spent most of my birthday talking her down and again making sure that she was safe from self harm or anything like that. At that point though, I was emotionally exhausted. I was also struggling with my own relationship issues as well as not finding a job and having to move back in with my Jamaican parents and fell into a depressive state that made me withdraw from everyone for weeks. She had called me one,
but I was isolated and honestly could not even pick up the phone. A little while after that, Raijin announced her pregnancy on Instagram, but I couldn't bring myself to reach out. After going to therapy and with a lot of help from my support system, I finally started to feel better. I texted Raijin to catch up because she had all those big ass life changes only to realize she had blocked me on both Instagram and the phone. One of our mutual friends told me Raijin was upset that I hadn't congratulated her or checked then on her with regards to her pregnancy. Do y'all think I should try to repair this friendship and reach out and apologize, knowing that becoming a mom is exciting and scary and a huge life change and she'll probably need support? Or should I wish her well from a distance and accept that this friendship is probably over? I do feel bad for going ghosts and I want to apologize, but I also feel that her reaction is extreme for me not picking up the phone. My friend group is split, some of them saying I should be the bigger person and apologize to keep the peace while others are understanding exactly where I come from. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you so much. You guys make my days brighter. PSK Fury. Thank you so much for the recommendation on South of Midnight. I absolutely love the game so far. All the best. Sinclair James. Yeah, South of Midnight. So good. You should play it if you haven't. I think you'll like it. So, uh, it sounds like, so I feel like your friend has something going on in that mind. Uh-huh. It's got something that maybe needs a doctor. Yes, I agree. I agree. Yes. However, um, friendship is a two way street and you are, it sounds like you are doing a lot of you doing the band, because you know, you're that type of friend, you're that type of person and sounds like you're being very considerate. It also sounds like you feel like extreme guilt for this small mishap. It sounds like you're making like a lot of effort to write a wrong that, you know, doesn't include the stabbing of the mother. And so it actually confuses me that Mama even stepped in and was like, well, you didn't say to it. Like, why are you apologizing to her, Mama? She, she, the, the friend brought the mommy into it, so yeah, and a mama wasn't like a girl, maybe she just forgot, I'm not getting involved in you and your friend, like you can talk to your friend or whatever, like, I don't know as a mother of, you know, people in college, y'all probably 21, 22, I'm not getting involved in that, but yeah, um, I just think that because you described your friendship with her with Regina is one where, you know, she has all this stuff, you know, her new wig and her new man and all of the regime things, but never concerns herself with what you got going on, never ask you how you're doing, doesn't seem invested in what you got going on. So the idea that then you would be blocked, um, and Mama would be jumping in and all these other things for you, forgetting to congratulate her. That's wild. And I don't think that there's friendship over there for you, not right now anyway. Yeah. I mean, was she said that they talked it out and what happened? She said everything was cool. She said that the friend was like, okay, I'll be more mindful of the emotional dumping and that lasted for a week and she went right back to, right, crying and talking about, you know, threatening to harm herself in her own life, things like that. So I agree. Kiviri is deaf. I think regime definitely has issues that, uh, some qualified people would let us behind and they may need to be in charge of like when your emotions are that extreme, when you're feeling that intensely, um, the average person is not equipped to support you through that people don't know how and you need more than just talking it out. So there is that, um, but on the other hand, I do understand her blocking you. I do, um, she tried to call to talk about her. She didn't know obviously what you had going on, which goes back to y'all's continued sort of it's always about her and her feelings. It's never about you and what you're going through. So, but you, she tried to call you to tell you about the pregnancy. She posted about it on Instagram. You clearly saw it, um, and didn't say nothing about it. So I can see why somebody who's mental health is already kind of dicey. I can see why that person would turn around and block you for not, you know, saying congratulations or reaching out to them about something as huge as a new baby, um, however, I also don't agree in reaching out to apologize just to keep the peace like I get that the friend group might want you to do that because people don't want to have to be like, Oh, okay, well now we see the regime or Cinclair child, we can't do things together because these bitches is beefing, but I mean, I think trying to reach out and apologize is good if you actually feel remorseful or if you, um, yeah, I don't know if you think that it's actually going to make a difference, but it sounds like you and regime don't have a healthy friendship dynamic under the best of circumstances, yeah. You know, y'all talked out everything over the phone. You explain it. It felt like things were a one way street emotionally. Y'all talked it out. She's like, okay, I'm going to try to do better. I'm going to be more mindful. She's clearly not in control or of that though because a week later on before your birthday, she called you crying and having all of these feelings and you spent your whole birthday trying to take care of her feelings once again. So it does sound like maybe some distance between y'all is what's best at this time because you are going through your own mental health stuff where you have moments where you can't even answer the phone, which is understandable, relatable, that is definitely something that can happen when depression is beating your ass. And she is going through something that is so intense and severe for her that she can only keep it together for a week before she falls apart again. So yeah, if it's going to cause like, I don't know, I'm just not a fan of apologizing to keep the peace. I think you should apologize when you actually feel remorse for what you did, not just to get somebody to get over their feelings. So because there's been plenty of times that she's hurt you and I have not heard you getting, did she apologize for crying and having this whole emotional breakdown on your birthday a week after she said she was gone, you know, be more mindful about this. Like, no, there was no apology for her doing that. So she's not apologizing for her mental health issues. I don't see why you should apologize for yours just to smooth things over that that is not it to me like, it's going to be because you actually feel like you did something that was fucked up. So, but maybe some space between the two of you is the best. It's hard when you have a bunch of mutual friends, but I think I would I would tell the ones who are like, oh, girl, just apologize. I would say and and what about her like, why is this all on me? Legitimately, why is this all on me because she's having a baby like that is a big thing. Yes, I did miss it and I or I don't know if you missed the birth itself, but yeah, I didn't reach out. I was, but I was going through my own shit. And yet every time I've been going through my own shit, I have also made space for her. And the one time that I didn't know I'm the bad guy. Now I'm chunly. No. So never been a bad guy. Well, you can't tell Nicky that's never how to tell her anything. But this is I don't know. I feel like in an ideal world, both of you would have access to the mental health support you need and y'all would be able to come together and be like, hey, so you know, maybe we haven't always treated each other in an ideal way or with the utmost respect or whatever else. But you know, y'all have been friends for most of your lives. She went through something very traumatic during her junior year. That will fuck a person up. So it's not even it's not that I have a lack of understanding here. I just don't see how you apologizing is actually going to fix y'all's relationship because she still has her issues and so do you. So without anything else changing, y'all are just going to end up back in something like this eventually with more resentment with even more right with even more resentment. So it's a hard one. But hopefully you we've given you enough here to kind of just two things over and maybe
talk to some friends who are not involved at all. See how they feel about it, but yeah, it's not all on you. So I think we can leave you at that. Good luck, Sinclair. - My mom needed my hard damn business. - I mean, you missed her graduation. - Well, no, because you missed her graduation. It's like damn, damn. (laughing) You missed my graduation, and my pregnancy, and else I'm gonna like come all, girl. (laughing) - Yeah. - Oh, but yes, good luck. Let us know what you decide to do. We're gonna wrap up the letters right there this week. Again, if you have a question for us, send us an email,
[email protected]. We'll be right back. - Okay, folks, we have returned. It is now time for our final segment. We call the read. I will begin, don't know how long this is gonna take, but it shouldn't be long. This read is gonna go out to a former teacher of mine that I'm pretty sure I dragged on here before. Hopefully it wasn't during a read. Ms. Lima, fuck you forever, fuck you forever, and forever, and ever, and always. The fact that I came to you at the end of one of our chemistry classes, and I asked you, if there was tutoring, or if I could get extra credit, because I was having trouble, or if I felt like I was falling behind, and your response to me, verbatim, was, no, I have a life. - What? - I've never talked about this before. - And if you have, I've forgotten it. This has been show been around a long time. (laughs) - I was in high school, this lady was the chemistry teacher. She was like a younger, Latina, like, when I was in high school, you know, I would have guessed like maybe she was in her 30s, and reality is probably in her 20s somewhere. - Oh, I'm looking for her, I think I found her. - Beautiful woman. - Oh God, I hope not. Beautiful woman, lots of the kids liked her, and whatnot, but she just like, it was one of those teachers who, I mean, they county public school, but it was very much like, oh, ain't nothing on the curriculum today, and I ain't feel like it, so it was just watch the ring. - It was like that type of shit. But chemistry is hard. Chemistry is hard. - Well, way more about numbers than they tell you. - Yeah, I did not care for chemistry. (laughs) But my teacher did volunteer to tutor me every morning before school started, and that's the sole reason he gave me a D. - This bitch, (laughs) 'cause I earned enough, but he gave me a D because he saw I was a bust in my ass to try to get it, and I simply could not. - This bitch had the living nerve to tell a young student who was trying their best to learn. - Damn, damn. - That she could not because she had a life. - It's not funny, that's so fucked up. - And through extensive sessions and EMDR, which I still am involved in, life changing, by the way. - I have, I've connected many times with several younger versions of myself, and high school was traumatic in many, many, many, many ways. So revisiting a lot of those memories and continuing to ping back to this brazen bitch and her nerve to tell a kid, "I will not even think of a way, that you can do well in this class because I have a life." Girl, fuck you and your life, and I'm sure that shit is still shit. Girl, fuck you, I'm at Beyonce. So suck my titties and lick my breast bitch. I don't give a fuck about you or anything that you had going on in that class. And then when I came back to class all the time and just put my head on a desk and didn't involve myself in the work I said, "I guess I'm a failure's class." Then the bitch had the nerve to say, "You know if you fail this, you're gonna have to take it again next year." And I said, "I don't care, hopefully it won't be with you." And then she sent me to the principal office. Girl, you can actually eat rocks for the rest of your life. You stink. - Damn. - It's gonna be fuck you for life, Lima, for life. - I came out of it on the, out of it on the earth, other side, I have things, I have a daughter. - I never need a chemistry to be a bad bitch. - Hello? - Wow. I mean, she could have said-- - All I need. - I can't personally tutor you, but here's such and such options, or this, this, this, like-- - Thank you. - I have a life is like bitch, thank you. - What, what, what, what, what, it's okay, thank you. (laughs) - Here are some books you could buy. Here's like some shit on the internet that could work for you. Nothing immediately I have a life. - Let me pair you up with this. - Well, what's it like now, Lima? - Like damn. - Wow. - What's it like now, Lima? - Damn. - Still fake teaching chemistry somewhere, but actually just making bitches watch Braveheart? Fuck you for a life. You should have never been an educator. You should have never been a teacher. You should have never worked in any form of a school system. And if that's how you feel, because of course teachers have lives, and it's, it's like underpaid, underrated, all of those things, obviously. But like you just said, I cannot do it for you personally. Here are some suggestions. Just, I have a life of full stop to a kid. - This is your student, bitch. You're supposed to, why aren't you happy that a student is actually asking for help? Oh, everybody not supposed to be a teacher, man. Everybody is not, you see how that stuck with you? She probably ain't thought about it twice, but you see how that stuck with you, because you were an impressionable minor who was looking for help and a trusted adult said, "Eat my dick." Oh my God. - Yeah. - That's what I mean. - Fucked up. - How many other students have you done this too, or are you doing, and how that does stick with you? - Yeah. - Guess what, Lima? I have a life too, bitch. And you will never, ever dream to match the success of the bigger, the intelligence, and the chemistry that exists over here. (laughing) Fuck you, bitch, for the rest of my living days and yours and beyond, bitch, and beyond. God willing, I make a past M.Kates, I'm gonna be Kekeying with all God subjects and my Heavenly Father about how much you suck if we're allowed to do that, I don't know if we can do it. But anyways, yes, that's my read for this week. I was like, I know I've talked about this a bit a couple of times, but I don't know if I've been forgotten until, like, detail are actually read. - But I'm like, you know what? - No student deserves that. - Yeah. - Like, no kid deserves that. - Right. - It is ridiculous, it is rude, and you see, like I said, how that transformed or affected how I showed up to school specifically that class. I just not trying. And then her response is, well, you gon' fail. My response is, I don't care. Because why should I? I tried to do the work to not fail, and you said you ain't give a fuck, and now you're trying to pastor me for not giving a fuck. I made it out anyway, bitch. I didn't need your fucking chemistry classes, and I didn't need wherever a fuck he was gonna pluck out a blockbuster video to put on them, them TVs, them big, back, heavy box TVs, which you roll out on a crate. Like, I didn't need none of that shit. The doll made it. What are you up to? - Lean. - Lean. - Raggedy ass, bitch. Anyways. Talkin' she was cute, and all of the boys in the school, I guess I wanted to flirt with her as she was hot stuff. You have a life doing what? You're going to get truck-a-fat Tuesdays with somebody, boyfriend? - Yeah. - Dumb hoe, fuck you. That's it. - When I was struggling in chemistry and advanced math in high school, my teachers presented me with, like I said, my chemistry teacher outright tutored me himself, came in early every fucking day to help my dumb ass try to grasp it, and I still could not. Bless that man, bless that man, but they referred me to other tutoring groups, and I stayed after school on certain days to try to get help, like nobody said, tough titties, I got my own shit to do. Because I was a teenager, and this is high school, and the whole point is to try to help my black ass to learn. The whole point is to try to help me to learn. What the fuck kind of teacher says now? I can't help you, I got shit to do. - Okay, bitch, I didn't ask you to lay down on the cross for me. I just said, okay, all right. I didn't even ask her to do it. - Right, right. - Right. - Tri-flin. Everybody truly does not deserve to be a teacher, but yeah. So, you remember several months ago when we talked about that black woman suing Alta because she went in to get her baby hair done, and they was like, oh, we don't do nigga hair. - Yeah.
So this has come back up recently on TikTok and probably other social platforms as well. Because more and more of the girls are deciding to leave these independent unlicensed stylists alone and go back to real, the real salons that we grew up in. And there's fewer and fewer of those like Black owned and just around the hood. But JC Penney and Ulta both still have salons. And so the girls are going there, posting their videos of them getting their hair done. There are a lot of black stylists. They do different styles depending on the location and what the stylist is licensed and trying to do. So like there are some who do lock retwist and lock shampooing. There are some who do different types of braids or you know quickweeds or whatever, just whatever they're trying to do. But like a silk press, a blowout, that sort of thing. Cutting your hair colored, obviously a trim, a cut, that sort of thing, like pretty much widespread in all these locations. So there's a big debate online because the people who have been calling us broke for not wanting to spend $450 to go to their apartment and deal with their kids running around and they baby daddy coming in and not the house slamming the door and her being on the phone and taking breaks to eat and pee and everything else. They have called us broke and unreasonable and whatever else for not just wanting to pay they non-refundable deposits and read they 30 page policy before we book and whatever else. Oh, and you paid to deposit on sale or cash, but then you got to bring cash because of course this bitch is not running a real business where she pays taxes. And then they force you to take pictures and videos because of course they're also not hiring hair models or even offering a discount on services to be featured on a social media. We supposed to pay more than we would somewhere else and then let you use us for free advertising and we the problem if we don't agree to all that now these girls are mad that those same women are saying you know, I'll take my $200 and go on down to Ulta or to JC Penny because they do all of that for less than you bitches do and they on time and I don't have to hear dumbass conspiracy theories and I don't have to hear somebody talk about how Tory Lane's is innocent and Chris Brown is the best entertainer since Michael Jackson. I don't have to hear no dumb opinions, no stupid bird shit. I don't have to deal with your fucking baby daddy. I don't have to deal with you, you know, be in a fucking idiot. I could just go to JC pennies and Miss Clarrice do my hair, give me the end and the fuck out. Now the holes are mad. Well what y'all want us to do? We got some last week rent. We got utilities to pay. We got this. We got materials. We got blah to blah. Yes, that is all called the cost of doing business. Have you considered that some of you are charging luxury prices to have the opposite of a luxury experience? That's just something to think about. The same way things are expensive for you, they're expensive for us. You expect one customer or a day's worth of clients to cover your bills for the month. It's not reasonable. Y'all need to get back in the lab. First of all, and probably most importantly, you bitches need to go to school. Go to fucking hair school, institution school, brow school, lash school, whatever the fuck service industry thing you trying to do, go the fuck to school. Most of you bitches be like, come washed and detangle this extra charge. If we have to detangle your hair, we can't wash your hair because it's illegal for non-licensed stylists to wash hair. Y'all got all these fucking rules and you charge more than everybody else and the experience is shitty. Like, girl, there's no pro for us. Yeah. I'm likely to spend half the money and get it done efficiently. More efficiently without hearing stupid shit without having to watch baddies and Zeus network. Without having to hear about vaccines or something, why people came up with to keep black people under control and that's why you don't believe in COVID. This seems pointed. Well, yes, remember a couple of years ago when I have to remember. So I never had, well, I don't I won't say I never had this problem in Oklahoma, but I just don't remember it as much. But when I moved to New York and started getting my hair done more frequently, I remember a couple of years ago. It was actually my read because that girl pissed me off so bad. And I was pissed because the hair is gorgeous. And that's the one thing you bitches have going for you is that most of you do great work, but it's so many cons to that shit that is simply not worth it no more. I'll go, I will give you hose one chance. You get one chance to piss me off. And I'll sit there and endure it to get my hair done that once. And bitch, you'll never see me again. I have gone through so many stylist, breeders, etc. in this city because all of you have the worst opinions I've ever fucking heard you and you don't know what you're doing outside of the hair itself. But the business is not just hair. So number one, you bitches need to go to school so that somebody can teach you more aspects to having a business or being self employed being your own boss other than just knowing how to braid knowing how to twist is not enough by itself. You see a lot less of this with licensed stylist not saying it doesn't happen, but you see a lot less of it because people who have been educated tend to act like they've been educated. People in professional environments tend to keep things more professional. Now you might run into somebody like Jane who goes around saying, "Thank you, my ninja." But for the most part, people are they fear getting fired. You hose don't fear getting fired. You think that no matter what, the black women will just come see you no matter what. It can just be the hellish experience every single time and y'all are just going to come anyway. Well, news fulash. Oh, we're not gonna. A lot of people might, a lot of people might, but a whole lot more are seeing that it's cheaper and more efficient to go somewhere else and so that's what they're doing. Oh, y'all broke. Oh, y'all can't handle all. Now all of a sudden, $350 is too much for braids, and it's too much for a silk press. Yeah, actually, yeah, actually $200 is too much for you to not even wash my hair to blow it out and put some Marcel's on it. Yeah, it's too much. I'm not paying it. And I'm very fortunate that I am self-employed in an industry where it really don't matter what I look like because nobody is my boss. So I can show up with my hair looking like whatever the fuck I wanted to, and nobody can say shit to me about it. But I have had, you know, quote unquote professional jobs before, and you know what I did when I didn't feel like being bothered with my hair brushed that shit back into a low bun and call it a god damn day. Black women can have hair that is acceptable for the workplace without giving you bitches $500 plus dollars a month to keep it up. So I suggest you take a look at your attitude, and I'm not even saying that your policies and your, you know, your booking rules and whatever else. A lot of times they make sense because you dealing with people who are just as stupid as you are. But when you make every aspect of the experience, pure hell, why would we go back? It's all right. The things that cannot be changed are bad enough. You getting braids or twists or something like that where it's going to be five plus hours in the chair. That's bad enough. You host make it so much worse. Why would I put up with it? Acknowledge in respect that like, oh, this is a better, this is a better deal in every possible way. In every way, and when you go to Ulta and you pay the money you give Ulta for that, that goes back until your Ulta rewards. And Ulta will use sacred on you. Ulta got a sacred Sunday's where it's cheaper on Sundays if you come in and get your hair done and they use sacred products on you. They will use what you want them to use. And they're not going around talking about how sacred is actually devilish. And so they don't use the products because they came less Satan, Satan's products onto their hands. These are the dumb bitches that want us to trust them with our fucking heads of hair. You just have to be frustrated with the companies, the corporations and stuff rather than the customers because like why wouldn't I spend half the the money for a better professional experience? So just right. I can count on one head and have fingers left over of stylus. I have gone to more than once in the past 15 years. And one of them niggas is in Atlanta. That was the reason I got a rainbow collection of wigs now that I love. But you know what that nigga was license. He had shampoo bows. He braids your shit down. He lay it like it was a it was expensive. But it was somebody I sent him a color. I get that color in the week. Like I I have no problems with that nigga. The braiders I've been to up here. It's been I have cycled through. I don't know how many bitches who do hair. And every single time that I don't come back is because of something like this. Something completely avoidable that if you bitches had even one shred of professionalism in your body, you wouldn't be doing.
And all to your baby daddy is not allowed to be on the phone with you. You're not allowed to cut such a baby daddy while you're doing my hair. Natalie none programs are not allowed in JC Penny. Thank God. Like, hello, maybe take a look at what's really going on. If it's too expensive to have a salon suite, then maybe you need to join forces with some other girls and open up a bigger space where you can all call work. It's called a salon. We went to them all the time in the 90s. How you have a salon suite and not come in and you shampooing the bitch who was before me, talk about, oh, just take a seat. Great. So it's automatically another two hours added on to this because you are going to be going back and forth between me and her hair. If we latest a $15 fee, if you said, Hey, boo, Tex, then it's whatever. Leave. I have had stylists leave. I have had bitches leave to go do whatever the fuck they claim they need to do. Whatever it is they need to do. I had one girl told, she told me to bring five packs of hair. I brought six. She really needed seven. She had me get up and go to the the fucking beauty supply store in the middle of my hair getting done to go get another pack of hair. That's that's insane. That isn't saying. And you bitches want to tip and free advertising on top of that. Oh my God. Those were like a grift in a service. That sounds like a thank you. Thank you. Literally that y'all trying to hit a lick on your on every customer that come through here, but like bitch, enough is enough. I literally don't have to do this. I have my natural hair and I wear it in its natural state. I literally do not need you bitches. I don't need a perm to maintain my shit. I don't have one having had one in well over a decade. I like braids and twists. I like doing fun things with my hair. I like wigs. I like it, but the experience is miserable. So when I book a so when I book an appointment at the Ulta in a black neighborhood, and I have more research on body, washing. Well, I don't know if I can have you trim my hair. You know, Miss Tina is the last one who trim my hair. So it probably can't I probably can't let you do that. But when we go in there, I mean, let's just be for real like, I need to be able to say that Miss Tina was the last person other than me who turned my hair. I need to be able to say that. So you know, I, this, you know, and actually as Miss Tina's client, this really is not in my business because she is the epitome of professional. I mean, let's just get into it. Miss Tina did use my image for advertising, but you know what she also didn't do. Charge me for the visit because my image is being used for advertising. Do you get it now? Do you get it? Do you get it? Y'all want the best of all worlds for yourself and just leave the customer ass out. Fuck you. Baby, I talked about this. I posted a TikTok. It's over a thousand comments on that TikTok of people being like, I had no idea. This was a universal experience. Somebody said they had a lesbian location who was homophobic, like, didn't like gay niggas, and it was like, how the fuck do that work? Nigga, what a bunch of people said, yeah, I got posted on such and such as Instagram, such and such a TikTok and the comments were mean. And this nigga is over here laughing at them and liking them and all this shit. Like, and you want people to come back and sit in your chair and subject themselves to all that again and pay full price on top of it? No, many of them probably get away with it. So have gotten away with it for so long or get away with it so often that they just like, well, I can do whatever I want. It doesn't seem like anybody is expecting for me to just with professionalism. And I'm getting paid 250% more. Right. And what these other pictures are getting. I mean, and people, a lot of people feel uncomfortable. They feel pressured into doing, you know, taking pictures and videos for your Instagram or whatever they feel uncomfortable saying, no, some of the girls even have policies that say you need to come with your hair and makeup done or you need to come with your makeup and lashes done. You need to be, you need to come photo already. Y'all have lost the focus. Y'all want to work Monday through Friday, nine to five, like professional girls. I'm not, we're not using our PTO to come deal with you bitches. Hairdressers, I never knew and don't try me because my Apeach has had us a lot. I never knew a hairdresser who took Saturdays off. Are you out your fucking mind? Saturday is the day you just need to be in there before the sun come up getting ready. Even I know that. Saturday, well, I'm gonna got her hair done. Whatever my mom got her hair done, it was almost always, almost always. Some of the girls have jobs where they can bring a computer and zoom in or whatever. Take all their meetings virtually or whatever. Most of them don't. You're gonna need to be, you're gonna need to have availability that matches what your clientele can do. And another thing and I love that somebody else pointed out, I don't know which platform this was on, but they said, you know, y'all are charging two, three hundred dollars for basic services and you and your setup is in the hood. Like there's literally nothing luxurious about this. You're not taking to account what your clientele can actually afford. And if you say, well, if I charge less, I won't be able to afford being in business. Then guess what? Then guess what? You're gonna put yourself out of business one way or the other sister because this is not sustainable. I would pay, I would happily pay extra. If going to independent stylists meant that I had a better experience, right? But it's worse in every conceivable way. Yeah, that's quite the good thing. So yeah, it's like looking to market prices, market rights to compare against whatever you're doing. You know, make something competitive. You know. But everybody want to have a bit of a cross from a chevron, like our gas $7 and 18 cents. Well, our gas $7, $7 and 17s. Yeah. And you're like, well, both y'all gas costs $7. So I guess, you know, right. I'm gonna go with the $49 instead of the $50. Right. Literally, people will go and I worked at a gas station. If that's quite literally what we did, we would keep track of gas, the competitors, prices and drop ours down by a couple of cents because the drop for the gas station is not the gas. It's the shit inside of the store. So if we get you here for gas, you pull up. You think, um, damn, I want a big gulp. Ooh, I would like a frosty or a freezey or what a slurpee, whatever the fuck y'all call it. Let me go get some candy. Let me go get some coffee. Let me go get some gum cigarettes, whatever the fuck else. Like that's the, that's where they make the real money, not on the fucking gas. So yeah, we'll drop down a few cents on the gas to get you here and get you inside of our establishment. But again, you bitches don't know shit about having a business. I, I dare say, most of you have never even been employed because you off, you have no customer service skills. You have no professionalism. You make everything about getting your hair done, which is already teased, tedious, even worse. And then you wonder why people don't want to come to you no more. What's not clicking? And someone who was never like sat down in the salon, except for when I was too young to stand by myself and my mama had to take me with her. Oh, yeah, it sucks. Oh, kill me. Like there weren't enough magazines, comics, oh, yep. But I would assume maybe something like you're on a phone. You mean, chitchatting on the phone, even that can get dicey. But like you, you on the phone or whatever, whatever, because you're going to take you at 13 hours, if it's right, right. So like chitchatting, but we have to hear you chitchat, which a home girl about her baby father while baddies is playing. And this other bitch is talking about how Chris Brown is the best woman in the world and Tori lanes didn't do nothing. I'm not coming back. And I have to pay two, three times as much as I would pay down the altar where they go, give me points and do my hair with sacred. Right. It just doesn't make sense. It doesn't make sense. Somebody's going to be transphobic. Somebody's baby daddy is going to come in here yelling and screaming and bitch, we're over it. We're over it. It was one thing when you had to deal with, you know, long waits and you're any squosy and two people ahead of you and all that. But then your perm, which included getting your hair washed. Yeah, getting your hair washed was not an add on. You bitches add 15, 20, 30, $50 on to every fucking service, getting your hair washed, conditioned, trimmed. This was part blow dried. This is part of the service. So you put up with it back when you can do all that for $50, $60.
- Yeah. - You pitch a charge in 154 silk press for a blowout? Come wash them blow dry. No, come eat my ass. I didn't think I was gonna go on for that long, but it's really been bothering me. It's really been bothering me because it's been, I've been vocal about this for years that the stylists have zero professionalism, not one ounce of it in their bodies. And they are so fucking expensive on top of that. And I'm just over it. I'll be wearing my real hair on vacation from now on. That's how I'm fucking over y'all until I'll just start doing braids. Until JC Penny start doing Senegalese twists. I'm gonna be wearing my real hair on vacation. I actually cannot do it no more. That's how bad y'all pissed me off. - That sounds like it's even further to the point. - If you would match that experience terms of professionalism and pricing, you would chew these bitches up because like you said, many times the hair looks, the hair often looks amazing when it's all said and done, right? - And I know that you can't, Matt, I know that all 10 JC Penny are giant corporations so they can subsidize things. You can't, that's why I would be willing to pay more if everything else wasn't so goddamn miserable. - Right. - But everything else is so goddamn miserable. And then you want me to be on your Instagram on top of it. Baby, my face is worth something. My face is worth something. If Miss Tina could cop me a shampoo and deep conditioning and trim and flat iron, you think you can't give me 10, 15, 20% off. Oh, the fuck you think you're bigger than Miss Tina? - All right. All right. - She just sent me something from my eyebrows and edges. - They, yes, they sent me the eyebrow and edge thing and they sent me the hair perfume too. I said, thank you. I show, do, love it. Thank you so much. Yeah, love that shit. I know you can't be, but I'm not expecting you to give me free. I am expecting you to be fucking reasonable though. Advertising is part of the cost of business and my image is worth something. So you either go and compensate me for it or I'm not sitting in your chair. I don't want to watch Jocelyn's cabaret while I'm getting my hair done. I don't, I do not want to watch Zeus Network while I'm getting fake locks. I don't want to watch Chris Brown videos while I'm getting twists. - Yeah. - So some of y'all are going to get it together. Some of y'all are going to realize that maybe you need to be in a regular salon. Some of y'all are going to think, you know, perhaps a nine to five is best for me. But more and more people, especially as the economy gets worse, they're gonna be going to places where it's cheaper because for most of us, for a lot of us, the cost is the black ass bottom line. But for the people who can pay, they're not gonna be going to people who continuously get on their fucking nerves. - It just doesn't make sense. - It just doesn't. It just does not. So if you don't like it, sorry, blame capitalism, not my fault, suck my dick. And that will wrap up this week's episode of The Reap. Check us out on social media at this is The Reade.
