The Evolution of Ibotta: From Consumer App to Performance Marketing Powerhouse

Teksti käsittelee kahta pääteemaa: Shopify-verkkokauppa-alustan hyötyjä sekä vinkkejä oman elämän rakastamiseen. Ensin yrittäjät kertovat, kuinka Shopify on mahdollistanut heidän liiketoimintansa pyörittämisen ilman syvällistä teknistä osaamista.

Sillä asiat hoidetaan ja meidän liiketoiminta me hoituu Shopify'sssä. Aloita ilmainen kokeilu, Shopify piste komsi vustolla. Olen Shannon Maldonado, käsintehtyjä artesaanitua teitä myyvän jauji-lahjakaupan perusta. Valitisin Shopify, koska alustoja testa testani totesin sen ehdottomasti yhdeksi helpokäyttöisimmistä alustoista. Minulla oli tärkeää pohtia kehittymistämme tulevaisuudessa. So that's kind of like the mindset I usually have. So I do think the mornings are crucial and it's important to like have a retain for yourself that you're gonna stick to. Another thing is clothing. I think clothing plays such an important role in how you feel in terms of competence and just I don't know like how you see yourself as a woman, right? So I think we always go through different transitions of different types of styles and I think it's really really hard to find a personal style. I feel like there is a point in your life where you don't really know if you're dressing for yourself or if you're dressing for the male gaze or if you're just wearing what your friends are wearing, right? If you like, you don't really realize your style until you're in your 20s. I feel like that's a one period of time where you actually figure out what you like and what you feel the most competent in. And I feel like leaning into your personal style can always like really determine how you feel about yourself. You know what I mean? Like I feel like if you're wearing things just to please other people, like you're not going to feel confident in yourself. You're going to feel awkward with what you're wearing and like you're doing it because of the trends or whatever, right? Like you want to wear what you actually feel comfortable in, what you actually feel competent in. And I think that's such an important part again to loving your life because if you're dressing not for yourself, like again, you're just doing it to make other people happy and not pleasing yourself. So definitely figure out your personal style. I think is huge and wearing things that actually make you feel confident. Again, it's all about yourself and loving yourself in order to love the life and be obsessed with the life that you have. Another thing is we're meant to sizing the little things, whether it's putting on a cute pair of pajamas or you know, making your favorite coffee at home or washing your bed sheets or picking up fresh flowers to put on your table, like truly romanticize all those little things that you do because I feel like you don't realize those little things mean so much to you. And I think like I feel like life has been on such a repeat lately. I feel like I'm like really eager for a change. And I think because I know what change is coming, I'm like getting excited about like those little things being in a new environment. I feel like that's going to create excitement for me. But I think at the end of the day, it's like it doesn't matter the space that you're in. I think if you still do those things, you feel good about yourself. So I don't know. I am obviously really excited to make my coffee in my new house like find a new cozy corner on my couch in my new house. Like there's obviously so much excitement around that and like romanticizing those little things. But I do think like finding joy in your home of doing these things are still like excitement and it makes you feel good and you realize how important it is. Actually, it's funny. Today when I was on my walk with Freddy, I decided to walk to my favorite coffee shop today instead of drive. And that was something that I could have easily just got my car go to pick up coffee beans come back. But I was like, oh no, I'm going to go walk in my favorite trail that I love and walk to the coffee shop through that trail to pick up my beans and then walk back home. And like I really did enjoy that because like I was romanticizing something by like doing something that I love which is walking and like also I love coffee. So like going to like walk through the trail pick up my coffee come back like I don't know, I felt like that was something that I don't typically do. But like I really, really enjoyed it by including my walking routine into you know, an errand that I had to get done for the day. So I really, really love something like that where it's just as little as taking the time to move my body and doing the little things by romanticizing it. I put on my music, you know, I just had my headphones in, really just enjoyed it and walked for like an hour and a half and I loved it. So anyways, romanticizing those little things truly do make a huge difference in your day. Another one is moving your body because you love it not because you have to. If you hate working out, do not do it if you hate it, like find other ways to move your body that you would consider a workout by doing something that you actually enjoy. Like I don't want someone to force themselves to be in the gym, you know, two to three times a week just because they feel like they have to or because like that's what all the girls are doing. Like that's what I need to do. Like please don't do that. Please find something that you actually enjoy doing because that's when you're actually going to A, be obsessed with your life, but also be consistent with it and create a routine for yourself and actually see the results that you might want to see, right? So if it's going on walks, do it, go on walks. If you love to run, go on the runs, going to Pilates, going to yoga, going to dance classes, going to strength training, like whatever it is, do what makes you feel good. Because as I said, that's when you're actually going to be consistent and continue to show up and do it because if you freaking hate it, you're not going to want to go back where you're going to hate your life because you're forcing yourself to do something that you don't love. So I definitely always say, figure out what works for you. I think everyone has a different type of love for different types of workouts. Lately, obviously I've been loving Pilates. I've been loving walking. I've been really enjoying longer walks. I've been trying to walk like an hour and a half and get like 10,000 steps in one walk, which has been great. And honestly, it's a fucking workout, man. Like I think walking is so underrated. I literally was dying from my walk today. Like my legs were actually sore and I looked at my step count and I was at 9,500 steps from that one walk. And I was like, that's crazy. I almost hit 10,000 steps just in that one walk. But I felt so good after and it literally felt like a workout. Like it is a different form of workout. It's a different form of movement. So you can really find ways to move your body in so many different forms and still love doing it. So anyways, do something that you love. Don't work out if you hate it. Just find ways to move your body that you actually enjoy doing. Become the friend that everyone loves to be around. So what I mean by that is always show up for your friends because you want to be the girl that remembers the birthdays that remembers to compliment them, to celebrate them in general. Like always make sure to be the friend that your friends want to reach out to and talk to and like be able to open themselves up to them because that's what you guys want in life. Like you want a good friend and you don't need 10 to 14 friends to like make yourself feel like, oh, I have a good group of people. You don't mean like you can have two good friends and still have a really, really happy life. Like you don't need to have a bunch of girlfriends to make yourself feel like you have a good life. Like you just need two or three really, really good friends. And I feel like now that I'm 30, I definitely feel like I've learned a lot about friendship and how important it is because I feel like now going through a really busy season in life. I think, you know, a lot of my friends are either getting engaged, planning a wedding, moving out of their house, moving into a new one, or going through renovations of a new house, or having babies, right? And I feel like all those things are busy. Everyone's busy doing something and it's really hard to like show up and show that you care for the person when you're going through such a crazy period of time. And so like one thing that I really want to do for my best friend is my best friend is about to have a baby this week. And I really, really want to find the time to go to Farm Boy, which is a grocery store here in Ottawa. Pick up some food and cook her a home cooked meal and maybe some breakfast or something like that. And drop it off at our house when she's going through the first week of postpartum because I know that's usually a really difficult first week of just balancing life, well, also trying to feed yourself, taking care of a newborn, like there's a lot going on, right? So it's like I want to be able to show up for her because she shows up for me when I need something, right? So I just, I want to show her that I'm a good friend because I care for her and like I want to be there for her by doing something small, which is just making her a home cooked meal and some breakfast. So I think it's really, really important to love your friends just as much as you love yourself and show that you care for them because they're going to be there for you when you feel like you need someone. And yeah, I think friendships are so so important. And again, it's not about how many friends you have. It's more important to know that you have a few good people in your life that you can count on that you know will always be there to celebrate your wins and your highs and your birthdays and all that. So anyways, and just you want to be that person that they can come to too and that they feel comfortable of sharing those exciting things with you because there's no matter feeling that obviously hearing exciting news from your friends. Another thing is creating a home that feels like your safe space. This is definitely something I've learned throughout the way, especially with like this house here when I first moved into this house, I think designing a house was like a lot of stress because you don't really know how you want to design it, right? Like it's something that's like really stressful. You want to you know invest in the right furniture pieces and the right things and what I've realized is that comfort is truly key. Like if you buy something that is not comfortable whatsoever or you literally just bought it for show, there is going to be issues because you're going to realize that it wasn't worth the money and then you're buying something that you probably should just spend your money on and realize that like yeah, going down the comfort row is better than for show, right? So I really really see my house as my safe space and like you want to make that as comfortable as possible because like at the end of the day, you come home to this house every single day and you want to fall in love with your house. So I feel like you really need to be picky about like things you purchase for, things that you design with it, everything, right? Like you really want to be cautious of what you buy because like your space is like so important. Like all I want is like soft blankets, a cozy couch, a house with good lighting, you know fresh sense in the home and what the house is. to feel clean, like those to me are like the most important things. And yeah, I don't know, like I think about that for the new house and how I really want to take that into account for when I'm buying a few new furniture pieces for the house and how I want to design it with obviously a beautiful design in mind, but also keep in mind that it's like it needs to be comfortable, it needs to be practical, it needs to be realistic. Another one is taking care of yourself like your someone you love. If you don't fall in love with yourself, it is going to be really hard for you to love your life because if you don't pamper yourself and do the little things that make you feel good about yourself, you're going to lose that spark in yourself. Like invest in those little things like book the facial, book the nail appointment, book the hair cut. If those things make you feel good, then do it. Then there's drinking enough water throughout the day, going a bed earlier, eating a nutritious meal, wearing the SPF, speaking kindly to yourself. Like there's so many things that you can think of that those things like such an important part of how you feel because if you're eating like shit all the time, like if you're ordering take out, you're going to feel like shit and you're going to not feel good about yourself. So I think actually spending the time like cooking those meals for yourself, drinking enough water, like you're showing yourself that you care. So I think doing those little things really make the big difference in how you feel and again putting yourself first shows that you love yourself and not doing these little things boost your confidence and makes you feel better about yourself. It makes yourself more confident. So I think yeah, taking care of yourself is pretty important when it comes to someone that wants to be obsessed with their life. Another one is stop waiting for your boyfriend or husband to make life exciting. I feel like in the beginning of a relationship, I think everybody kind of goes through this, but you're on this high where like you want to do absolutely everything with your boyfriend. It's like oh, you know, there's a day goes by and you're not with him. You're like, I miss him. Like I wish I was with him. Like you literally want to do everything with them, which I totally get. I was totally on that high when I was with my husband, but I was in Zach in the beginning of you know high school. I felt like there was a high just like wanting to do everything with him and like kind of like shutting your friends out, which is obviously not the point, right? You need to be able to love your life without your husband in it as well. Like still being able to do fun things with your friends, still being able to do fun things with your sister, like going to concerts, having girls nights, going out for dinner together. Like you need to love your life with your friends, with your family and like obviously including your husband in certain things, but also like not including your husbands and everything and like being able to do fun things with your girlfriends, having that separate identity. Like I want to make sure my husband has fun with his guy friends and like you go golfing, you do that. Like I want you to do that. Well I want to go hang out with my girlfriends, go for dinner and chat for four hours and like yeah, have a fun girls night. So being able to have those separate parts of our life is so important because it allows you to like look forward to those things with your friends and be excited about it and not having to feel like you need to do everything with your partner. So it's so so important to also do those solo dates of like falling in love with yourself and like going on a coffee date by yourself. Like it's important to fall in love with yourself as well and not just like your husband or your boyfriend and your friends and your family. Like you also need to love yourself too. So just making sure that you create an identity for yourself that separates yourself from your husband or your boyfriend and being able to do those things without them. Another one is becoming financially independent. We talked a lot about this in a previous episode. I think it was called how to become hotter and richer and I really chatted about financial situations and like how to make yourself feel more richer and just like how to save your money properly and invest and all that. So I really do think there's something empowering about being financially independent and actually being able to take care of yourself financially. Like not having to rely on anyone for money. Like you know you really want to be able to have that financial freedom of being able to like invest in those things for yourself and not have to rely on someone else's money. So definitely take a peek at that episode if you haven't. I personally loved recording that episode and I feel like it makes me feel really proud knowing how you know I spent my money wisely throughout the years that I've you know had a job. I feel like I was always very smart with my money and I think that's something special and something really proud to do and I've always been very very smart with my money and I think that's really really important. And again it makes you feel really really good about yourself when you're putting your money in the right places and like you're saving and you're doing the right things. Or you're not splurging your money on stupid things that you don't think is necessary. So definitely being financially independent I feel like makes me feel really good and I personally feel like it's a huge component to falling in love with your life. I feel like if you're spending all your money and you're not saving like it's going to be hard to fall in love with your life if you can even afford to like go get a coffee at a coffee shop. Like you just don't want to make stupid decisions on money because money is truly something you need to be very smart with and it makes a huge difference on how you can use your money towards things like fun things to do with your friends trips concerts whatever the case may be. Which kind of goes into the next one which is giving yourself something to look forward to. So book the trips book the dinner dates start the projects doing these things creates excitement in your life and it creates something that you look forward to. For example me and my sister were actually talking this past weekend and we brought up how we've been wanting to go to Vermont in the fall because Vermont is like very well known for their fall aesthetic. So me and my sister were like hey we've been talking about this for years like we just need to like book the trip and do it because if we keep saying we're going to book it it's never going to happen if we don't actually execute on it. So we're doing it and I'm so excited for it and again it's something to look forward to it's something to do but because like I was financially smart I was able to book the trip and spend the money and do those fun things. So I think a lot of these things kind of play a huge role in like how you can execute other things to again enjoy your life become obsessed with it. So all these little tips really just kind of like intertwine into the same category if that makes sense and I really do think yeah just booking the fun things with your friends is what's going to make you excited and look forward to the little things and like wanting to do those fun things in your life. And the last one is become the woman you're younger self dreamed of. So I saw this episode it was a while back on TikTok it was a Jay Shetty podcast episode and I think it was with Kendall Jenner and Kendall was talking about how with her therapists they were talking about her inner child work and like how we see ourselves and how to really love ourselves and she was talking about how her therapists told her to find a picture of herself when she was younger and to hang it on her bathroom mirror that way when she woke up every single morning and she went to the bathroom she could see her younger self and if she was ever thinking negatively about herself she would look at this picture of herself as a kid and think would my six year old self be proud of what I said about myself like would she be proud of the life that I've been building for myself these you know past few years like almost like talking to her younger self and like remembering like why am I here like why am I talking negative to myself I should be talking positive to myself because the negativity that you're saying is to that little girl that you're seeing in the picture you know what I mean and I loved that they talked about this in the podcast because I'm like it's so true like I couldn't imagine like looking at a younger picture of myself and like talking so negatively about myself and then like looking at this like a little kid that's just like so happy and so excited to see like what the future holds and like also like would she be proud of everything that I've done these past 20 20 years or 25 years like a whole world I am in this picture but I think it makes you realize like how you should be so proud of the woman that you've become and like shift your mindset of like oh no like I am a confident individual I am happy with who I am like it really like change your perspective it changes your mindset and really just like allows you to like look at your younger self and like realize like I wouldn't be saying those things at six years old like I would be so happy with my life and like so excited to like see what things are to come and I don't know I just thought of as like such a special thing that they chatted about and yeah I don't know I don't think you would ever want to be mean to yourself I think you always just like want to remove that negativity from your life and always think about the positives about yourself because there's so much to be grateful for there's so much to be happy with and every little thing that you do you should see as like a blessing you know what I mean because like like I said in like the previous episode there's gonna be negative things and there's gonna be lows in your life but it's always so important to try to see the positives and everything and I know that's really hard to do but we should really be so grateful for the little things that we do have because there are people out there that would dream of that you know what I mean so I think there's that's a really good way of like trying to shift your perspective anyways that's my take on like how I personally think I personally love my life and like why I feel like I'm obsessed with like myself and like things that like I do to make myself feel good about myself every single day whether it's romanticizing the little things you know making sure that I'm dressing for myself and not anybody else making sure that like I'm still loving myself and like doing those things for myself like pampering myself by doing those appointments, I don't know, there's so much that I've talked about throughout this episode that I just think really reflects how you want your life to be and how to really fall in love with it and be obsessed with it. And I do think these tips are a really great thing to look back on, especially when you feel like you're losing your spark or losing your rut, like go back to these things and be like, okay, I'm not doing a morning routine anymore, I need to get back into that and working on that one thing already might make you feel a little bit better about your life, right? And it takes one step at a time and I don't know, I thought this was a fun episode to do and just something that I wanted to share with you guys. So anyways, I love you guys also much. Thank you guys for listening to another episode. If you're new, definitely make sure to follow @thehalkerlenergyinstagram page. You can also follow me on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, Kaylee Stewart. I'm probably going to edit a YouTube video hopefully tomorrow and that will be probably tomorrow too. Summary:

Teksti käsittelee kahta pääteemaa: Shopify-verkkokauppa-alustan hyötyjä sekä vinkkejä oman elämän rakastamiseen. Ensin yrittäjät kertovat, kuinka Shopify on mahdollistanut heidän liiketoimintansa pyörittämisen ilman syvällistä teknistä osaamista.
