The End of Deadass

The podcast features a mix of humor, personal storytelling, and deep reflections on group dynamics, personal commitments, and cultural experiences. Central to the episode is the ongoing "dead ass" tradition—a shared inside joke used to build accountability and group unity—which is both celebrated and challenged as members face misuses and breakages. The team recounts a chaotic but memorable Armenian wedding with over 650 guests, highlighting the inclusive and joyful nature of Armenian dance culture, in contrast to more reserved social norms. They also discuss the highly anticipated Tesla Roadster reveal in Waco, Texas, where the team expresses excitement about the potential for a flying car and shares personal stories of early Tesla ownership. The conversation shifts to serious topics like the Chernobyl disaster, where the group debates facts and the ethical responsibility of sharing information with wide audiences. A new children’s show, "Nashquest," is proposed and quickly dismissed due to its resemblance to Dora the Explorer and concerns about originality. The episode also includes light-hearted moments, such as Natalie’s failure to vote for her sister’s artwork at a paint party and the group’s shared habits of staying off phones during deep focus. Ultimately, the podcast blends personal anecdotes, cultural insights, and playful controversy, reinforcing the group’s unique bond through shared humor and accountability.

the audience all right well anyway natalie's mic was unplugged make sure your mic nat talk i'm here oh my god okay that's much better yes so natalie's mic was unplugged which normally you'd probably be a good thing i was enjoying the edit actually to not hear her was probably like yeah it's probably good for the listeners but do you ever hear the tenacious d song greatest song in the world no it's a song that they wrote they forgot and they're like it's not wasn't this song but it it was almost as good as this oh wow it's fucking so fun now we can definitely say that our last podcast was the best podcast we've ever had yeah um jason tried to jason had the idea of trying to record natalie's parts all over again like he's like some fucking james cameron incredible editor producer like he was just gonna sit here in the movie room with natalie like okay now now act shocked and i was like jay we're gonna have to redo the pod bro you're not just gonna fucking put her back into the pod like that god damn it it's it's my fault it's my fault it's my fault why why is it your fault well i should i should have someone here that knows how to operate the equipment it's not fair to give the equipment to the oldest guy in the room i and i get it done every week i'm not even saying i can't wear the headphones man because my hearing's already going yeah see i don't know why you have the headphones turned all the way up that's my question oh you can turn it down yeah why don't you turn the volume of the headphones down so they're not screaming at you oh that's much better okay there we go but i can't really hear myself because my hearing's okay that's fine i can't hear myself because my hearing's gonna die i can't hear myself stop fucking touching the equipment please for the love of god your big fucking claw why am i getting the blame she knocked her mic out i tested everything i don't know if my mic was ever in jay no no no not you too because what you'll do is you'll grab your fucking fat phone to order some food during the fucking podcast and then we're screwed okay i will try to we'll try to hit the topics that we hit before yeah yeah yeah um but let's start with the first one the most important this is where all shit got fucking crazy right the first episode the last episode the best episode that you guys missed natalie yeah well let me start with ilia ilia broke his dead ass this week dun dun dun okay don't pretend like we haven't talked about this okay we've already covered this and fuck you because right after natalie broke dead ass right now dead ass hasn't been broken in this friend group in like eight nine years so this is a huge fucking deal okay jason doesn't understand why it's a big deal i don't really get it you guys are 30 but like you know how like in a movie like in an olden day movie first of all you first of all you have no room to defend the word dead ass because you fucking broke it i abide by it ilia broke it by not going to london yeah he promised me to go to london with me because i did a favor for him so he's like i got you dead ass i'll go to london yeah he called me a couple days ago he's like i can't go on that trip with you in a week so now i have to cancel it and then what did you say what did you say to him you said dead ass i had no energy to like argue with him i was like no i didn't i was like you're really good right now yeah i can't leave like if your business is doing really good and you dead ass me yeah like i would let you get out of that dead ass somehow i would have loved to heard that phone call was it was it that serious two guys talking about dead ass like they're about to cry and we were both in the bath too in our separate paths were you actually no no no but i have been bathing a lot really yeah why is that you sit there you run the tub yeah and you just get in there and you sit in the tub the one thing i want to do when we build a new house yeah is i want to build a tub inside the shower i think that's like the best life hack for any tub a shower room yeah because then you can overflow the tub and you have like an infinity tub how nice is that i don't you've always said this about shower rooms and i just don't i'm not on board with that why it's just like so wasteful yes it's wasteful but like and like what what is it really bringing you that much like incremental joy like you need to be overflowing the tub yeah constantly i think so really it's wasteful but it's like it's um yeah but it's fun it's wasteful never mind i won't put it in fucking buzzkill she is huh she took the one thing you like she sucks i guess you don't care about the planet yeah okay hello speaking of the planet global warming el nino is fucking hitting right now okay hold on we're not done what are you doing the fuck are you doing how are you she wants to go home too how are you panning to el nino yeah that didn't come till like 50 minutes into the podcast i felt like a good pivot no i thought i was first of all i was executing on my co-hosting you don't pivot responsibility jason and i pivot oh we are the pivoters i always yell that when i pivot you just keep your mouth you know what it's time for me to take control you just keep your mic fucking plugged in you've lost all pivot privileges all right anyway what do you think about el nino i mean come on yeah okay so then we went to natalie fucked me because i want to go to the emmy party at chateau for netflix and she dead ass me that's a special place very special oh chateau netflix i'd be excited yeah all that's all the triple pillars of like tell people about the chateau how it stands out amongst anywhere else in la i mean it's a it's a castle in los angeles yeah there's only really like two like that what's the other one it's the hero here she the magic castle shishimi yes magic castle oh okay there's three and yamashiro yeah okay there's only three castle like things magic castle magic castle is nothing like the chateau though yeah chateau is for celebrities magic castle is for magicians and yamashiro is for asians um all equally incredible yeah i think chateau is the coolest because it is like it's right on sunset boulevard and it's like this crazy place it's kind of hillside can you use your phone in there uh yeah you can you can you can't take pics though yeah no no i don't think you can take pics yeah um but anyway natalie dead asked me she'd go obviously i knew she wouldn't because she she's just like she has no she's she doesn't know who she is have i said this before on this pod i know i just like you don't know who you are i know everything i know your body more than you know your own body genuinely she doesn't know who she is you buy tampons for next week shut up i'm not on my period i'm telling you what do you mean she doesn't know who she is because like like it's interesting i need like i had to dead ass her because i knew that i was i don't know why i knew that when monday comes around she won't have the energy about it she loves like she loves having energy for things and backing out and like more than anybody and like i i can detect it quicker than i could detect smoke in my room like genuinely and then she goes so since ilia backed out of the dead ass it kind of means i don't have to do it anymore first of all it's not what i fucking said yeah and then yeah you you pinned it on ilia it was like this like i said well ilia didn't have to abide by his dead ass so why do i some gender equality shit was going on which i get gender equality well because natalie you were claiming for gender equality you were like just because so ilia can do it so man can back out of that but i can't which is a good point did you have that ready when you were when you call them you're like i'm gonna just say if oh 100 as soon as ilia did that shit i was like oh were you shocked that i let you get out of the back shocked i did not think i was sitting at home i told you i was in bed in my pajamas i was not i was fully like ready to do whatever dead ass all right well who cares now i wasn't ready to go out but like like i could have been convinced but you also kind of didn't want to go yeah i didn't want to go so it was easy it was easy for me and when you hung up the phone i was like i was shook yeah i was like really really hung over we went to the night before actually two nights before but the hangover was really bad we went to our friend's wedding vahe got married he's armenian i was at um it was crazy incredible it was like a three million dollar three million yeah yeah what a lot of work is he in three million dollar tires american tire depot no kidding yeah one of the coolest friends to have because you know the tires i pop i know and by every time he's like i got you guess how much i pay how much nothing for your tires yeah yeah jay and i have like some expensive cars yeah they take special tires yeah and he just goes brother it's on me what i don't know man wow different kind of guy yeah wow um so natalie helped him book snoop yeah for his wedding yes it was a surprise for his wife too um and this was this was like my first armenian wedding it's a lot of fucking people dancing yeah like i would say well there were 650 people at this wedding 650 650 yeah it's crazy oh my god that's really beautiful ballroom and like a four seasons yeah and i was like oh my god i'm like i'm like i'm like i'm like and at when when the dj would invite the people on about 75 of the people were on the dance floor like it wasn't like it was like a mid like Midwest weddings, I feel like, have the least amount of people on the dance floor. Nobody over the age of 35 is going on the dance floor. White people have a tough time getting on the dance floor. Shy. Well, it's not that. It's because white people don't have a dance. We don't. No. You're right. We have the chicken. Yes. We have the robot. The robot. And the sprinkler. But those are so white that it's offensive. Armenian people have a dance that makes it almost very welcoming for a guy like me who can't dance. I get excited about going on the dance floor because I know how they, they kind of just like, what do they do? They're like, I'm doing it right now, but you can't see. But it's like, they twist their arms. They put their arms around each other. They kick. No, but their arms are straight up. And they put their arms up and they go. They just kind of shake. Yeah, they kind of shake. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They just kind of shake a little bit. And it just feels so much better. Like, you're just like. Mm. You're just grooving. You're grooving. And you're dancing just like, like, it's the perfect example of like, you're dancing like you don't care. Mm. Like, you don't care who's watching. And that's what I, that's what I really loved about it. And that's the reason in their culture that I'm assuming fucking 80% of the people are on the dance floor. Because. Who'd you hang out with at the wedding? I was just Natalie. Adam W. was there. Fun. Jonah was there. Fun. Jonah got hammered really fucking early. Oh my God. He did? Jonah took like nine shots at the pre-cocktail. The wedding hadn't even started. And then 20 minutes into the wedding, he had such bad heartburn. He had to go upstairs and like lay down. Wait, what? Did he actually? No. Yeah. He laid down for like 45. He was gone for 45 minutes. In the middle of the wedding. He came back. Yeah, yeah. It was so funny. I was like, where were you? And he was like, I had to lay down. Had really bad heartburn from, from the drinking. Oh, yeah. He was like so fucked up. But like, he was the first on the dance floor for the first song. Yeah. And he was fucking crushing it. Where'd you go after the wedding? We went to the gate. Yeah. That's it. We go, we go there. It's just the place where we just hang out. It was a whole company, like reunion. Everybody, Brooke was there. Hallie was there. Everybody from our team that works internally for us. Just randomly. Just randomly was there. Kind of ruined the spot, the gate for me. I'll tell you that. Everybody gets in now. Everybody comes in. Dave, can I go over flights with you? It's full. David, don't work out. Hallie actually said that. She did? Yeah, because I told her to help me book my mom hotels. Yeah. And she's like, what's the budget for these hotels? I'm like, Hallie, please not now. Oh, you got to say it. You didn't say that like a boss. No, I didn't say that. That's really funny. I didn't say that. What did you say? She was like, you want to get back to me on those texts now or later? I was like, I'll just get back to you later. Busted. Why don't you? I think probably one day you will answer like that. What do you mean? If you grow into your boss. I answer Natalie like that. Like annoyed boss. I don't really answer them like that. I answer them more like. It would be really funny. Like kind of naggy. Today, Brooke sat in my seat. Today, I was laying down. Yeah. On the couch. Yeah. And I got up because I eat. Now, I was in Brooke's spot because Brooke got up. Yeah. But she was sitting closer to the table. So, I sat where she was. And then she sat where I was laying. Yeah. And she goes, can I sit here or are you going to lay back down? It's like such a funny thing when your boss is taking naps. Yeah. I still never get over that. Yeah. What can you say? Yeah. Yeah. And I have no shame about it. Yeah. I'm like, I'm tired. I've got to rest. I've got to rest. I've got to rest. I just went out. Yeah. Been editing for a while. I'm taking a nap. Huge house. Several couches you could choose. You choose Brooke's seat. Yeah. I wonder if the cleaners ever are like. He sleeps too much. I wonder if the cleaners are ever confused like, how does he live here and sleep? Because I guess they don't see that I'm up at night. I assume they probably assume that. Yeah. But I would be like, are his parents just funneling him money? Does he work? He's just napping. I wonder if people think you're a rich kid. A neppo baby. But then I leave a lot. So I think they get it. Yeah. They think I'm like a bear. Like I go on like little hibernation cycles. Like time to work, time to hunt. And then I come back here for time to hunt. The fuck are you hunting? And then I come back here for a week. Okay, the big thing here I want to get to more. I can't believe I've waited this long to talk about it on this episode. But the Tesla Roadster. Actually, you know what? You guys are lucky that we deleted that last, or the last episode isn't going to go up. Because it was about 19 minutes of Tesla Roadster talk. But that's because I had no idea that Natalie has been talking to Tesla. So let me tell you this. Tesla just announced that October 1st, they are officially unveiling the Tesla Roadster for the first time in 10 years. And they teased it with a little picture of a futuristic car. You can't really tell what it is. And then what seems like four thrusters. Coming out the back. Or the bottom. You don't know if the picture is upside down or not. Which way it should be. But it's very mysterious. Elon has said multiple times that the car will be able to fly. And now, when you take that Instagram image. This is all they've teased. It's just the Instagram image of the car. And the date of when they're releasing it. In Waco, Texas. Which, in my email, I have now seen that I am invited to. Which is really exciting. So I will be going down to Waco, Texas. I think I'm going to vlog the whole thing. And I think I'll put in my next vlog. I think it'll be a really funny vlog experience. And Natalie, you've called them. Yeah, I was speaking to them just to see what it was all about. If you could even film and whatnot. But they told me it's going to be super intimate. There's only the 200-ish or so people that initially purchased it when it came out. You were one of them. It's called the founder's edition of the vehicle. Those are the only people that are being invited to this reveal event ceremony thing. Okay, well that's kind of crazy. But that's crazy in both ways. So there's 200 people that have paid $250,000 10 years ago. That's kind of crazy. How much money is that, Nat? Go. Oh, I've got no idea. $40 million? That's $50 million. Whoa. So Tesla had $50 million for free. Wow. Sitting in their account from these people that ordered roadsters. For 10 years. For 10 years. That's crazy. Yeah, that's crazy. And we're all going to be there. $50 million of Tesla is going to be there. Do you know anyone else that bought one? No. Don't, no. I don't know anybody. But no, yeah. That would be an interesting group. It's going to be a really interesting group. Like all different types of people. We're all going to trauma bond. It's going to be funny. I'm waiting for 10 years. Yeah, yeah. That's really funny. I think you're pretty chill about it. But I think a lot of people wouldn't be. No. I don't know. I think if you're purchasing a $250,000 car. I think if you're putting $250,000 forward. Yeah. You think you could afford it? Yeah. But I couldn't afford it at the time. I don't know why I did that shit. I just really love Tesla. And Tesla was like in my blood. How's that? What? Why is it in your blood? I just loved it. It was like such a part of my DNA. I felt like when I was vlogging. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I love mine. Anyway, listen to this. Yeah. So when you take the picture they posted and you screenshot it. You can do this at home. You screenshot it. Like from their Instagram? Yeah, from their Instagram. And you turn the brightness all the way up. Reveal words on the back of the car or whatever it is. I don't know if it's a car. Right. But it says where we're going. It says where we're going. And then I was thinking to myself, what the fuck does that mean? Yeah. And then I looked it up. I wish I came up with this on my own because it would have been so cool if I came to this conclusion on my own. But it's where we're going. We don't need roads from back to the future. Damn. Wow. When the DeLorean takes flight. That's a real carrot. That's fucking crazy. So. I mean, it's damn near confirmed that they are going to reveal the first, like, serious production flying car in the United States. I don't know, man. This is a big fucking deal. And I'm going to be there in Waco, Texas. You think it'll launch? Watching cars fly. You think I can have lunch? Yeah. Could you have lunch right now? It's six. Do you think it will launch is my question. I want to ask ChatGPT. What the laws are. Like, if it'll come out or if it'll actually be able to fly? No, if the car will fly. Yeah, 100%. I think it's going to hover. No, I think it's, it'll probably be one of the best days of my life. I'm assuming. Dead ass. I don't think you're allowed to use that, by the way, anymore. Why? I abide by it. I was just using one. I got out of it on principle one time. No, no, no. Because our friend Mike, nine years ago, misused the word dead ass. But you, like, kind of let me, like, you kind of let me. Let me do that. Yeah, I know. But I don't think you can do it anymore. So I'm like. not allowed to use it anymore? I've been thinking about it. I was like, how do I get Ilya? And you know what you do is you guys, you guys need to come together and repair the dead ass. Yeah, I need to, exactly. Dude, I'm not even kidding. I have this exact idea. Yeah. And I was like, we have to have, like, because dead ass is kind of like this, like, sacred culting word. You know what I mean? Like, that's what it is, right? Like, to me, that's how I perceive it. Yeah, you guys come, you get here at night. And they put, like, they have to put, actually. Yeah, I think this is a great idea. Something happened. I wasn't going to say that. But close. But you're really onto something, I think. I was going to say, they come here. Oh, we just have, like, wing stops. Yeah. Close, though. Yeah, close. You turn the lights out. And I don't, also, finger in my ass. Yeah. It's not sexual. No. No, of course not. what exactly would it be categorized as? It's sort of, like, it's sort of like a hazing. Like, you have to, like, earn your respects again. Like, am, I don't know if I'm being punished or you're being punished. Like, do you want fingers in your ass, or? I'm definitely not being punished. Whoa. Okay. One finger. How about one finger? What about a fist? No, no, but let's be serious. One finger, got it. Yeah, let's be serious. How do you repair dead ass? Will you continue? If you want to use the word dead ass, you have to put it in this ass. No, I'm not putting my fingers in your ass. Those are our bylaws. No, be serious. Who are you be using it anymore? Is it over? Can I say why it's important to me? Yeah. Okay, because I've had a problem with an addiction before. Okay. Okay, I'm not going to say what. I'm going to leave it up for interpretation. TikTok? Could be alcohol, could be TikTok, could be porn, could be cocaine, could be girls. Yeah, could be girls, could be cartoons, could be whatever. Could be the love of the game. But an addiction where I was like, this is affecting my health, and I can't do this anymore. So I did ask myself for a year that I wouldn't do this, and I didn't. I quit for a full fucking year. That's very proud. This story just glorifies you. No. And your- How amazingly moral. Yeah, and your constitution. Okay, it glorifies me and the constitution. Your constitution. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. But I just think it's so cool that I have a word that can like get me out of like, I don't know, a dark place that maybe is like, it's just harder to get out of normally. Well, what's cool about dead ass is like, you guys have this word, and it holds each other accountable, and it keeps your group together, and it's like, if you say it, I'm gonna do it. Yes. Right? You're committed. You're committed to what you're saying. Natalie, stop fucking talking on behalf of the word. Well, I- Give me your finger. I don't know. I don't know. Also like- I'll talk to Ilya. Also like, you know, Ilya runs a business, and so, for you, to be like, come with me, dead ass, it's not the same as, hey, we're gonna get a 12 pack on Friday night. You gotta dead ass come with me to this party. No, no, no. I did him a favor, business wise. Yeah. And then, he had to return the favor to me. Like, it was very 50-50. Oh. Yeah, yeah. And you dead assed on it? Yeah. Oh, I see, I see. You're just as angry now? That's fucked up. Oh, he didn't put that part in. Yeah, yeah. Might be a little miffed, but. Yeah, kind of sucks, but whatever. It's fucked up, and you need to stand your ground, and you need to set things straight. Well, hey, hang on. Wait, can I just ask, so if I would have driven to your house, you would have gone up and left? At the very end of our conversation, probably not, but like, you had me like, probably earlier in the beginning, yes, to commit to going out with you. Will you continue to use dead ass? I think that's what everybody wants to know. I will, for like, for myself, I've never broken it, so like. Well, you can't just do it with yourself. Well, I can. Like, if I ever have to like, dead ass, I'm not going to do that, or dead ass. Oh, this is major news. This is the death of dead ass. Uh, no. This is the death of it. I mean, who you got left? Alex Newman? I'm going to figure it out. No, Jay, don't, you're going to genuinely make me cry if you keep going into this. This is done. No, no, we're going to figure it out. this is real, I'm not trying to be mean, but like, it's, it's over. You're not going to use it anymore. you're being weird right now. Well, I mean, that's why you have to repair it. Yeah, we're going to fix it. How? You have, we call a community meeting, and we gather all the community members that abide by dead ass. How come I never get in on dead ass? I think it has to be. Did I break it once? Uh, you just like, weren't a hometown friend. Oh, oh, oh. But also like, and you're 60, Jay. But no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, but if you like, ask me dead ass, like, I would like, listen to you. What? Like, if you were like, dead ass, I, dead ass, I'll be there. Like, I would trust you. Oh, oh, oh. Like, you don't have it like, barred. Oh, yeah, no, Anybody that really says it with me, I don't, like, I trust them. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Until proven otherwise. Hmm. Right? Just like the court system. So the only people to break dead ass, not guilty to, whoops, I'm sorry, I cut you off. It's okay, you can keep going. The only people to break dead ass are not Ilya and Mike Lindsey. Yeah. That's it. Yeah. Alex Newman's never broken it? No. John never broken it? No, I don't think so. Didn't you, like, low-key kind of break it or something recently? Are you sure? Natalie, I would never. No, I've never actually, I'm just smiling. You know, maybe. You're like getting, like, there's something weird happening with you right now. Maybe you should take someone else to the, to the Tesla opening. No. Who didn't break dead ass. Natalie fucking submitted her passport already. I locked myself in. Natalie's kind of a genius. Is she? She kind of is. She's kind of, not to sound like a teenager, low-key a genius. No, I think she sucks. No, I'm so upset. No, I mean, that's like such a smart move. Like, oh, okay, I'm definitely going. Here's my passport. And you're so far behind that, you know, who knows if you'll get your passport in. I don't even, yeah, I don't even know if I'll make it. Have you seen, she takes Bella. I wanted to bring this up. Natalie fucked her sister over at the paint party. Oh my God. We all voted. We had a paint party. You didn't come. It's okay. I was hung over. we all voted. So you get to vote for three paintings that you like. Yeah. And it's a really funny clip where Naveen's like, who'd you vote for? And Natalie's like, I voted for, you know, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And it just cuts to Bella. And she's like, you didn't vote for me? I didn't vote for my sister's painting. She's like, I voted for you. Isn't that crazy? Why didn't you vote for your sister? Oh, well, I didn't know it was like that. I just voted for what I thought was the best art. That is some shit your sister would be pissed about. She's at the party. She's kind of new. And she does like, she's been like really into like, she's been painting and like making creative projects on her own at the house. that's fucked up, Matt. And her painting was good. You didn't vote for her? No, like she knows she's not like an amazing artist. Who'd you vote for? I voted for John Warren. That's also really nice to vote for John. John's was crazy good. I voted for all the people that actually won. Wow. But other than myself. You would have been shocked at John's. John was. No, I saw a picture. Picasso. Yeah, it was incredible. I saw it. I saw his hat that he was wearing. The little beret. Yeah. Did you see that, did you see that Chernobyl documentary on HBO? No. It's not a documentary. It's a scripted series. Can you guys guess how many people died during Chernobyl? Like during the explosion? Like 5,000? Okay. 6,000. No. Okay, how many? 30. 30? 30. Just 30. Oh, really? Not 30,000. I thought it was like big time. But what happened? Wasn't, wasn't Diva from there? You know what's crazy? I just watched it. What? Wasn't Diva from Chernobyl? Ilya's partner? Yeah, my old assistant. Why? He was from Chernobyl because one time he screwed something up and my mom and I pulled him aside and we were like, are you okay? And he was like, oh, I was in Chernobyl so sometimes I'm a little slow. And I was like, whoa. Oh, interesting. That's crazy. There is a small chance. I don't know if it's true or not. Yeah, is that even true? So this is what happened. Maybe he just didn't want to get yelled at. Obviously something happened with the reactor. And at the time, people didn't know much about nuclear stuff. Yeah. So the fire department came right away when the fire happened and the nuclear reactor was destroyed but they didn't know that. And then the fire department was cleaning up debris from the ground and it was like graphite and things like that and the graphite is what held the nuclear reactor together. So the firefighters were touching it and then it would slowly start burning them and like literally completely like radioactive their entire body. So, for the next couple weeks they died like slow really painful deaths. So the main people that died other than the employees that were working there were the firefighters. How did they, how do you die? Like what kind of slow death? Like you melt or? Your, your, Your skin peels off? Your skin is like, yeah, peeling off basically. Or you start like coughing up blood. Like your insides start. Or you get cancer in five years. Like that, that was the main deaths. Like they're, they targeted, they estimated like 50 to 100,000 deaths later on because of people that were exposed. Did you get it over in Slovakia? When was Chernobyl? Wait, wait, that's what was so crazy. It was in, it was in Plipli? Plipli? Your peepee? It's awesome. Do you have nukes in your peepee? It's crazy that like we talk on this podcast and it's just me talking to you guys. And like that's fine, right? Like I, like I don't care what I say to you guys because it doesn't have to be accurate. But then when I think about like 100,000 people listening to this. Someone's going to repeat your story about Chernobyl. Like someone's taking my, someone's taking what I'm saying as fact and I'm just saying the stupidest shit from a show that I just watched where actual real people died and I may not be as accurate as it's, as I should be talking about this. You think? Like if 100,000 people were sitting right now in front of me and they were looking at me like, uh-huh. And then what? I'd be like, I'd fucking leave the room immediately. Yeah. But it's the fact that I'm just looking at you guys. Okay. Anyway. We find out a million people Yeah, so there was a moment where these three guys had to volunteer, basically sacrifice their lives and go back into like underneath the reactor to pull out all the water from there. And if they never did that, there would have been a second explosion and it would have covered all of Europe. And up until the Black Sea, the water supply, everything would have been contaminated for the next 250 years. Wow. Yeah, and just the Chernobyl site will be contaminated for the next thousand of years. You can't go in there at all? No, there's like a 25, 30 kilometer radius around it where you can't go in. And it's like the plutonium, the thing that's spilled out the most of it, has like a half-life of 500 years. So like literally for a thousand years, that land will not be safe for people to go on and nearby. Don't people like go to Chernobyl? I think there's ways to do it. I think there's ways to do it if you go with like the proper precautions. Like I think you can go now with like precautions. Oh, kind of precautions. Why are you fucking winking at me? Because you have no idea what you're talking about. Like a fucking outfit. What are you talking about? Oh, what kind of outfit? Like a radioactive like hazmat suit. What do you mean? I don't know. Why are you being so weird and licking your lips? I take my genius comments back. About Natalie? Yeah. And I'm like, Tit is out right now. Can you lean back? What the fuck's wrong with you? What's wrong with you? You're being so weird. Why are you looking at me like that? Why are you sexualizing my intelligence? Just because I'm literally giving you heart. You're so intelligent. Cut the mic again. Do you think it's weird that when Nat comes to my competition party, she always wins? I think it's weird. Do you think people are scared of her so they vote for her? I think so. Because it ain't the art, sweetheart. Wait, she won at this other one? Well, she won vision board too. I won number one for vision board. Why don't you just go back to the painting thing? Do you not like any of my Chernobyl stuff? You know what's weird? Were you thinking about painting the entire time? I was describing all of that. A little bit. Really? Well, I mean, I'm always surprised at what you come up with, what you watch. You do keep me guessing. I'll say that much. Why? I love learning about things. I mean, I swear to God. I'm just not good at retaining the information. I swear to God, I come in here and you could be like, oh, I just watched a cartoon about hippos. It's so good. When you watch things at night, are you like fully locked in? Like no phone? Yeah. Wow. Really? You don't look at your phone? No, no, no. I pause it if I have to look at my phone. Oh, wow. That's crazy. Yeah, I pause it to go pee. Who did you watch the Chernobyl doc with? That was just me. Really? You couldn't bring in Alex. So it was five episodes. I will say, it's a little fucked up of me. I watched the first three and I skipped the fourth. I went to the fifth. Yeah. Because I was falling asleep and I was like, I have to finish this because I don't want to do another night. I'm fine with that. Five episodes in a night? Five hours of television? Five hours. Yeah. Well, four. Too good. Just skip one. That's crazy. Couldn't do the pod that day, huh? Huh? No. No pod. I was busy. I was learning about Chernobyl. I'm making sure history doesn't repeat itself. What other things were you interested in? Like, would you like to learn about? Well, I watched that new 9-11 doc, Turning Point. Yeah, but what do we need to, what are we learning that we don't know? Well, that's kind of what's interesting about this doc. Tell me. Is like, there's this girl in it that's interviewed that her flight was the pilot on United 93. Yeah. And it was just kind of like, from what I took from it was, she was talking about everyone's always commenting like conspiracy theories. This and that. And like, it was more so that like, this is like a real thing that happened to her. Yeah. And it's still affecting her to this day. Yeah. That it's like, it's like, it's like 9-11 has become such a playground for so many people. Oh, yeah. To like, you know, to draw many conclusions and to, and also like the doc talks about the, the whole thing is what are the effects that it has on this generation, 9-11. So it's like, why are we in war? What does that have to do with, with politics here? Um, like withdrawing the troops, all that. It's like pretty interesting. Did you hear, um, that bin Laden, they were saying, I'm not trying to be funny, but he was, he thought that, uh, 9-11 would just end all American, uh, stuff in the Middle East. Like they would just leave that he would knock the buildings down and that they'd be like, okay, we're done. We're out. But it did the exact opposite. It, we were just like, well, yeah. Well, I think what they say in the doc is he like thought that the U S would like turn on itself and he was kind of right. Turn on itself. Turn on itself, not turn on itself, but like destroy itself from the inside. And I think that's kind of what started like a lot of issues with like trusting the government. Yeah. Right. I don't know. Now I'm getting political. What am I doing? Yeah. Like, Oh, where am I going? Nuclear, nuclear blast ahead. Dave heading into political waters. Anyway. So who I voted for. Um, Hey, here's something interesting. Yeah. You know, this Tom Cruise movie digger. Yes. No, it's a musical. Yeah, it is a musical. That's what I'm hearing. Yeah. But that was my point. This guy was making this great point. He was like, this movie with Tom Cruise has a lot of buzz. It looks cool. Obviously it's Tom. They're hiding the fact that it's a musical. Yes. I think that's interesting that they do that. Yeah. Well, that's what they did with Willy Wonka. No. Yeah. They did it with Willy Wonka, but they didn't do it with wicked obviously. And that made so much money. So why wouldn't they just come right out and be like, yeah, it's Tom Cruise in a musical. I don't know, but I think the movie digger has so much mystery around it. What even is it about? I don't know. Yeah, I don't know. Don't you think it's like a, I think it's like a male patriarchy kind of thing. I would think so. Cause I would think a lot of Tom Cruise fans aren't musical fans. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. What's that mean? It means like the beer drinking guy in the Midwest. If he sees Tom Cruise in a musical, he's like, I'm out. Yeah. Oh, maybe, maybe it would Mike Lindsay run to see a Tom Cruise musical. You keep calling Mike Lindsay. It's Lindsay. Mike Lindsay. He may have broken down. He broke that ass. He broke that ass. Fuck him, man. Fuck this guy. Screw this guy. So when are you going to get a finger in your butt, man? When is it going to happen? Can I come over and vlog it? Please. I don't know. Please. Please, David, please. I mean, it may have to happen, Jay. I just got off the phone with Wyatt. He's flying to England. What? Next. All right, go, go. I just got off the phone with Wyatt and he's flying to England for a semester abroad. Wow, that's kind of crazy. So fucking cool, David. He's got his own apartment. If he's going to get laid? Yeah, of course. Yeah, he's going with a buddy from New York. Has he had sex? I don't know, man. You have to call him. You want to call him right now and ask him? Do you ask him about stuff like that or no? I don't know. Really? Not really. I don't think that's that appropriate. Am I a little too staid? No, you're actually pretty good at that. Like, I don't, I wouldn't want to, I don't know. I don't want to make him feel uncomfortable. I wouldn't want to tell my dad. I actually wouldn't want to know. Yeah. I mean, I don't know. It's like, it's like his business. Like if those were my, if my, yeah, it's almost feels kind of gross. It feels kind of gross. Yeah. Yeah. It's like, whatever, do what you gotta do. Don't tell me. Yeah. But I'm so jealous, man. He's got fucking got an apartment there. He's going to play gigs. So cool. Well, I had a chance to go abroad and I didn't go. Why don't you apply to the same school and room with him? I'm not smart enough to get in. But surprise him. I feel like he'd really like that. Maybe he's the janitor. Like, Wyatt, it's your dad. I'm going to be here with you for a month. We're going to do TikTok lives in your dorm. But I was, I was kind of feeling like, like I was like thinking about it. I was like, oh man, he's so lucky. He's like, he's with his buddy. He's got his friends there. Like, you know, you know that feeling like you're getting somewhere for the first time. You're on your own. You're not in a dorm. Kind of like probably when you moved to LA. Oh, that's what living abroad means. You're in like an apartment. Yeah. He's, he's in an apartment this time. But like before he was in a dorm and you know, they go to the, but like, I don't know. Or especially just being in a new country for three months. Oh, the new country thing is pretty crazy. Crazy. Yeah. Yeah. So I was like pretty jealous actually. I was like, that sounds so fun. And it's just like infinite opportunities. Cause you're like, you're like no one yet. Yes. So like, you don't have like, you don't have a reputation. No. Good or bad. You can make anything of yourself and you have like new country, new people, new humans. Yeah. Do fucking way of life. Cause it's completely different. Yeah. Language almost kind of. Yeah. That's going to be really sick. You want to hear John do some voiceovers? No, no, no, no. Are you sure? Are you sure? No, no, no. Please. It's really good. What is this fucking show you're working on? Nashquest, baby. Coming out at the end of the year. 10 episodes starring Natalie Maradona. I saw the thumbnail for this kid's show you're working on. Yeah. Can I just say it looks like a straight off, straight off rip off of Dora the Explorer. Like almost identical. There's a, it's you, right? It's a younger version of you. Yeah. Some, someone that looks like a Latina woman. And then, and then on your shoulder is a monkey. There is a monkey. That's fucking. There is a monkey. No, that's a direct. There's not a, there's not a little girl with a backpack. It's me and Naveen. Okay. And we, we have a book. Well, standing next to you, she looks like a little girl. What? So, standing next to you, she looks like a little girl. You know, after you. No, I'm, I'm younger in the cartoon. No, no. You're talking about real life. No, it's not real life, Dave. Hey, why didn't you come to my paint party? I remember. Actually, let's talk about Nashquest. I wasn't invited to your paint party. I fucking texted you. I texted you and Alex. You didn't write back. Well, I was, that was the hangover. You were sick. Yeah, yeah. I thought of a new project. Okay. And we can cut it, okay? Okay. Guys, so if it's, if it's actually a good idea. Yeah. We're going to cut it from this pod. But if it's not, so if it's a good idea, you're just going to hear us cut to the outro. Can I, can I be a part of it? But if it's not. If it's good? I don't know. I don't know. Come on, man. I need something. I got to get out of this. It's called. It's called. Nashquest isn't going to do it. You ready? Yeah. It's called. Wow. It's like a really good idea. Wow. Just keep that in. What you just said. Okay. Wow, guys. I'm so sorry. No, it's actually a really good idea and I'm pissed I didn't think of it. So we're cutting it out. We're cutting it out of the pod. It has something to do with. Wow, that's crazy. You guys are going to blue ball the audience big time. That's it for today's fucking podcast. We can't do that. Give him a hint as to what it was about. No, I can't. It was about. Shut up, Jay. Snacks. No, no, no. Okay, I can give him a hint. Psych! No. I can't, I can't. It was a really good idea. Congratulations. Can I be a part of it? Thank you so much. Please, get me out of here. Please, get me out of this movie room. Yeah, no, get me out of this fucking hamster wheel I'm on of recording John to do Nash Quest. Hey, man, that's true. And I can't even get Taylor in here. If Dora the Explorer was so big, you're going to follow her footsteps. I said that to the guys after you told me the first time about Dora. I go, hey, I've never seen Dora. Do we have a problem here? And they were like, no, it's completely different than Dora. What's he talking about? Oh, my God. That's the best. It's so funny when, like, we came up with the show idea the other day. Yeah. And we, like, had to put it into YouTube search to see if anybody's done it. Yeah. And then we found. We found somebody that's, like, doing practically the same thing. Yeah. And then we were just battling for, like, an hour with ourselves. Like, well, it's not really the same. But, like, it's, like, whatever. And no one actually, you know, no one in the audience knows that you came up with it on your own. But now, yeah, it's, like, whatever. All right, guys. That's all the time we have for today's episode. Please join us for the next one. Go watch the new vlog. It's out. The South Africa one. I'm really excited about it. And thank you for joining us. And we will see you guys for the next pod. And for the next vlog, too, possibly about the Roadster. Bye.
