It doesn't make sense. Everyone needs to have the same rights. You gotta go one way or the other. You can lock up the dudes on the bridge. You can lock up the dudes outside New South Wales Parliament, you can't lock up and leave right now there's dudes in segregation in maximum security prisons that were just protesting and then you've got dudes that just blew people away that are on watch list that are allowed to have guns. - Yeah, and they just, you know, they've literally let this fester and you go back 10 years ago, you know, all the CT agencies are all over it. There's counts getting locked up, left, right, and center for just insulting terrorism encouraging it, advocating it. They're getting locked up, left, right, and center. Those laws have not disappeared. They still exist. They're just not being acted upon. You know, the whole attitude is just, I don't get it. It's just this, they've let it, they've let it fester at the point where it was inevitable and it'll be gonna happen. - That's the thing, isn't it? It turns into action. You know, words always turn into action. And you know, you being a former New South Wales police officer, you know, you spend, you know, majority of years within the Raptor organization dealing with, you know, outlaw motorcycle groups. Now, what, like, why do you think it was allowed to fester? Like, why did the federal government and obviously more specifically in the state government allow for this to just to continue on without calling it out? You know, we look at other countries, like the United States. As much as people think Donald Trump is crazy, he calls this shit out. He goes, you know what, fuck this, we want people from Sweden and Denmark, not fucking Smalyah. What, like, again, why do you think, and just on your level as a police officer, when there was times like this when we had these protests and blah, blah, black lives matter protests, you were still in by there. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - What were you getting told, and you know, what were you getting told to do? - So I mean, like, I mean, we go, if you go back probably five years ago, when counter terrorism was still on the table, action was still getting taken. In fact, we did quite a few jobs for CT. Our work wasn't just restricted to bikes and meox. There was some CT jobs in there as well. Whether we're doing FPAs on them or search warrant, there was a piece of work. I don't remember doing any jobs at Raptor, and maybe the last two, three years I was there, there was CT, or I'm tired. I think, I mean, there's information coming out now that the federal government specifically told AFP to redirect their investigations towards hate speech and, you know, going after Nazis and particular groups, and targeting inverted commas islamophobia. So they're targeting the people who, you know, are calling them out. So they let this fester, they cause this to fester. And you notice on the ground, because the operations that you're running, stop coming through. Yeah, I just, there's been what basically, no action. You look at, you know, it's like I said 10 years ago, the training orientated was, orientation was active arm offender, you know. GDs did four days worth of training a year. Yeah, it's not enough, I agree. Now they're doing half a day. Outside their training, the police academy, they're probably lucky that the cops there at the day were pretty fresh and it was probably fresh in their minds, because I had a conversation the other day with a silent friend of mine, and he was talking to me and he goes, "Oh, we didn't do any training about fire movement." And well, yes, you did. You just don't remember it, because you haven't done it for 10 years. So this whole, you know, if it starts the top, it feels as all the way to the bottom to the point where people aren't getting trained. And they're forced to deal with situations. I don't know what effect on the ground it's had, but they're forced to deal with situations without the equipment, without the training. And we haven't talked about this in our last podcast about, you know, potentially cops getting killed because of the inaction of these bosses. 100% and inaction of fucking equipment as well. Yeah. Why just got shot in the head? Literally one right now is in a coma because you got shot in the head because of the inaction of New South Wales police CT command. The New South Wales firearms registry, ASIO and the AFP, and it's their fault. Yeah. But if you call this stuff out on the ground, like I did in terms of training, like you can't stare and call a unit any elite unit and not actually give them any training because that's what was happening at my unit. Now I said, "Put me in up," and said, you can't stare until everyone that we're in elite unit and not give them any training higher than what GDs are got. That's just, it's bullshit. So, you know, I pushed training hard to the point where it pissed the bosses off. I was sneaking the eyes to the range, sneaking them downstairs and doing training with them down the car park because they wouldn't allow me to run any training. Meanwhile, they're dealing with the worst criminals in the state, international criminals armed to the teeth. All this sort of guns, "Oh, that ain't no training." It's like, it's insane. It made it is, it's completely insane. And, you know, I guess we go back to these gatherings over the Harbour Bridge Opera House. And again, we're all for protesters. If you want to go out and protest, protest. But it's the messaging that was the living on these days. Yeah, yeah. You know, death to the IDF, death to Israel. Gas the Jews. But, blah, blah, you know, like it's a crime. If I was to go home right now or even just say it now, you know, kill whatever group. Yeah. I guarantee the cops would be on my fucking door ready to take my guns. Yeah. Remove my security license or whatever. Yeah. Like, it's shit. It doesn't make any sense. Why the government allows for one side. Yeah. the leftist side to have essentially complete free speech. I mean, all of these laws that existed for quite some times, like this inverted commas hate speech, what does that mean? Like, that's just saying I don't like something. As opposed to making threats or intimidating people, threats of what. That is an offense. It always has been a fence, advocating terrorism. It's an offense. It always has been an offense. We don't need to reinvent the will and say, "Oh, let's win it, put in hate speech legislation." You don't need it. You've already got what you need. Just go and utilize it. Don't reinvent the will, just so you can spin your own narrative and tell people what to think. And utilize it on the right people. Yeah, exactly right. That's the biggest problem I think that's happened is that they've utilized the laws and legislation that they have. They've detased someone on a fucking watch list and allowed someone that lives with him to own guns as a non-Austrian citizen. And they've allowed. What we had to do was a simple fucking check, hate chat GPT. Show me all people on Azo's watch list for terrorism that live with someone at the same address who is a registered firearms user. Pretty fucking simple. Do you need me to come in a sorry hills and do your job for your CT command, your fucking muppets? Yeah, it's not working. Exactly right. And obviously, you look at the prime minister. His first reaction was. Not even a tea type thing. He was playing the guns straightaway. Yeah. It's guns. Let's change the fucking legal system for the gun, the law for the legislation for firearms. Let's restrict and reduce the numbers because they had six guns. Let's only make civis only have one gun. They can still make damage with one fucking gun. Yeah, and they can't make any more damage with six guns. Exactly right. One gun at a time. Exactly, not even that. You take away even if they took away all guns. Everyone's got a hand. Every gun, it's took a knife, still got cars, still got fucking these people are not gonna stop at one fucking mode of fucking terror. They're gonna use. Exactly. Two weeks ago, there's a 15-year-old spraying a house with an AK. And SKS, yeah. Yeah. And a jammed and he just left it there. And that shows to me that they've got more. If you're willing to leave an AK on the side of the road after you've sprayed a sprayed house. That's an expensive gun. Yeah. That's a expensive gun. 66 is getting around out there. Yeah, yeah mate. That's it. If you're a cop, don't crack it. Yeah, that's happened twice. Is it? Yeah, right. Happened like 2003. Now we talk about these firearm offenses. Oh, the offenses blah, blah, blah. The issue of the father allowing. You know, having been allowed by the strain government, more specifically, New South Wales police and your firearm registry that you run and absolute fucking joke of what it is. First off, like we're a strain citizen. Like you should be in a strain fucking citizen only like they do in the United States. You have to be in a US citizen. You can't be just on a fucking green card. You've got to be a citizen to get your fucking firearms in that country. Should have been the same thing here. Not just in New South Wales, but resident on a fucking visa from 1919. 98, 98, come in. - And what they've been talking about is that he, obviously fucked up his application back in 2015. So for the first few days after this incident, the head of New South Wales Police is on TV saying that he's a licensed firearms user and he's had his license since 2015. Yet he corrected himself yesterday and said, "No, the application was fucked, he fucked it, he only got it back in 2021 or something." So your head of your police force, and two of your officers have just been shot because of your incompetence. Yet you don't even know the facts around his license. You can't do a simple check into his background that the moment that it happens, it took you three days to work out who this can't was and what kind of firearms life he had. And then they've also mentioned since then that, him and his wife had split up. The dad who got smoked, him and his wife had split up. So there was the family home in Boniric and then there was an Airbnb elsewhere. So I dare say the firearms that he used were sitting in the Airbnb for however long they've been divorced. So that means they had no idea where the son and dad were living and where the firearms were for months. Months. That's some, that would be fair. Like that would be totally unsurprising because the way the system sort of works does they'll do an industry. Everyone hands in the guns I don't want and then they'll do a bunch of audits. That happens roughly every five years. Yep. So I'm not surprised about that at all. No, that's it. And yeah, you could have five houses and put a set of your guns at one of those houses and not tell the registry where that gun is. You can just say, I know it's at fucking three whiff street fucking woodridge. It's not at this house. They wouldn't have a clue until they come and, as you said, come and license and come out and do their audit. Yeah. Which is rarely happening because they don't have the resources. Yeah. Yeah. And just, and it's fair like you, like you right now, Maddie, you could have your guns outside where we are right now, wherever we are, your studio, your office, whatever. Mac is, you've got your guns in your car and you're allowed to do so. You're about to go hunting or you're about to go to the gun range. That's fine. And the police aren't expected to know that. But if you're on Azeo's watch list, as an ISIS fighter, it's probably important that at all times you know where those fucking guns are. Yeah. I think I'd have been given a tour in the first part. Yeah. Exactly. So let's, let's break quickly, break down that timeline. We just spoke about it. So 2015 applies for firearms license. And you know, for the listens out, you apply for firearms license. You get a photo advice, you go to the RMS and you get your photo. And obviously that's what he didn't do. So that fucking, they give you 28 days. Once that 28 days is up pretty much, you got to do the re application. So obviously he's let it sit for fucking four years. 2019 now his son probably jerking off to fucking go porn and comes onto the radar of Azeo, which you got to be doing something pretty fucking serious for the Azeo, you know, one of our premier intelligence organizations to get on their radar. Because it's got, it's expensive to start off with. So he's come on the radar. 2021, I think data applies for fucking firearms again. Does it eventually two years later though? This is really weird that it took two years. I want to find out a bit more about this because that two year gap, that's, that's not normal. Normally you get, you get your photo advice within two or three months, your firearms license is in. So that two year period is, it's quite, there's got to be a lot more to what that is. And I'm sure it's because the sun's getting investigated by Azeo. They're like, oh, let's just put a pause on this until it's clear. And obviously some time in that period, the sun's probably, you know, eventually they're gone. You know what? He's probably just jerking off to go porn. That's all. Let's just leave it alone. He's just an ISIS fighter. He just wants to join ISIS. He's just, you know, ISIS misunderstood. We're in forgiving society. All that stuff's in the past. All those people's scojo drop bombs on. That's all fucking five years ago now. Just give him a gun. Just give him a gun. So 2023, prove for firearms. And then you know, the next couple of years, by as a whole bunch of firearms, which, as we know, as a firearms license owners, that first gun that takes 28 days for your permit to acquire. Everything after that is within, within like 12 hours. Now it gets all these guns again. The sun's, I'm sure, I'm sure when you are put on an Azeo list, you're not completely off it. You're somewhat on the whiteboard. You know, there's the people to watch. The people we are watching. And there's another column that says terrorist. I'm sure he's on that. You know, we're watching him. He's there. You know, if he does something, they do do something. They go to the fucking Philippines. Mm. ISIS fucking hotbed, which has been for quite some time. I've had operators on in the past that have worked in the Philippines. Fort against these people, these ISIS fighters in the Philippines. Again, how is this not flagged? And obviously we know this. Now this is where I guess this comes back to you, Nico, because you've worked in the New Salemites Police. How many times have you done operations or whatever joint with the AFP or with any other intelligence organizations or Border Force and information has never been disseminated through as one fucking group. Because, you know, obviously, we know that tall poppy is a big thing here in Australia. I'm your cell, I was pleased. I'm fucking the fed. I'm better than you. I'm better than you. And information doesn't get filtered down correctly or shared the way it should. Have you, you would have experienced that in the past? Well, I get to a degree like working in, I mean, obviously there's, you know, being in a tactical team, there's things I don't need to know. I don't care whatever COVID stuff they're running. That's fine. I'll need to know is, I just need to know about the ability to make a risk assessment and put a plan to get entry plan together. That's really all I need to know. Well, you know, clues, freckies and things like that. What if you make tactical information they will have? For investigation side, I don't really need to know that. So that, you know, that seems that's going to be deep car compartmentalized. I don't know if you're sure you were there. However, when it comes to, I understand the systems are in place, police records. At what stage should AISO have actually contacted police and say, you need to put a warning on the police system and say, literally, that's all it's got to say, contact AISO, it's this person, a plus reforms license, or whatever it might be. You don't have to tell them about what it's about or what the history of that. They might have some sort of COVID job going on. I don't know. And I guess that's that balance between, do you keep things certain things covert or do you tell the boys and let them know that this is a risk? And yeah, there's a bit of a bouncing thing there if that sort of makes sense. You need to, you might need to keep things under wraps. But the thing I'm interested in, that 20 or 23-per-time period at what stage did AISO and AFP get that direction to refocus their inquiries away from radical Islam? Did that come inside with that 20, 23-23 application approval? Did the firearms registry know? It could be something as simple as a change of staff and it wasn't recorded on the system properly. - Who knows? - And when we say new, firearms registry, we say, "New South-Earth Police." - Yes. - Let's be real young. And, you know, we'll get on to schedule right now because there was a great museum that you could put up a good post with Ben Robertsmith full-time surveillance on all of our fucking operators in the last 10 years. How much does it matter they spend? Half a billion dollars on something stupid. - I think this is $400 million. - This financial year alone, something like $60 million. Which if you broke that down into APS-5 salaries for AISO intelligence operatives or intelligence analysts, that's something like 400 jobs. So you could have 400 AISO staff members going through all this shit and not letting anything go through the cracks, but you've allocated that money and those resources to investigate Australian soldiers accused allegedly of war crimes by cowards within their own teams or fucking Kuntz in Afghanistan that we will give money and we are giving money to. So the OSI currently has 107, staff and most of these staff, it's public knowledge, it's broken down, Missouri did a good job of it, is New South Wales Police and Victorian Police AFP that are seconded to the OSI to investigate us. 107 offices and most of them, especially from New South Wales Police Force, their own head of the OSI has said that they're the best homicide detectives. They're the best detectives that they have. 107 of them are sitting behind a desk looking at special forces soldiers conducting Afghanistan. Those 107 offices could be better, I think everyone in the country could agree right now, would have more than likely picked up the fact that someone who is an AISO supporter is living in a house full of guns and going hunting regularly, preparing for a terrorist attack. It's very clear that if you're a member of the OSI, you are a fucking traitor to this country and you should see stand up right now at your desk if you're hearing this and I know you probably will. Lock your keyboard and walk the fuck out and go back to your police station where you're from in New South Wales and start investigating these Islamic extremists because they're the fucking problem, they've just proved it and you're dogging the country and you're dogging people that wear the same badges you because two of your fellow police officers just got shot. One's going to lose an eye. He's in a coma right now and you could have been helping him but instead you've retast yourself for a bit of extra money for whatever motivation you have, maybe a promotion, maybe to because you thought what you saw in the job advert look cool, oh special forces, I want to see some helmet cam footage. Go fuck yourself, go back to your station and fucking do your job. Do the job that the Australian people expect you to do that you could have done to prevent this happening. Yeah, exactly and you're on that. I was just going to say, especially with their staffing, the way it is right now, the allocation of resources is fucking vital. It's not just a case of, I will simply say, I will simply say, we really need to think about where, where the best way we can use the three quarters of our staff that we've got, fuck off the politics and do with the problem. Forget your stats, forget your promotions, you made an oath because your fucking did to protect life and property. You're not your staff properly. It's not about the trips, it's not about getting on the piece, it's about actually doing your job as a leader in the cops. And I don't want to bag all the leaders. There's some really good leaders in the business and I have a conversation with one recently that I still couldn't contact with. And it was the most encouraging call. I thought, fuck, I've never heard this from a boss ever. And the accountability and the reflected, the reflection, but it's a minority. Or it seems to be becoming more and more of a minority. And this ability to self reflect and be critical of your own work. I think, how do I actually get the most out of my team? Because let's be honest, the fucking big part of the mission is the people can't achieve it without them. You're now four and a half thousand staff short. If you're not looking after them, they're not going to be there. And now they're positioned where it just snowballs and now they've got no staff to train. They've got no hours to train. They've got no staff to allocate to investigations. It's just this snowballing sort of effect and the buck stops with them. Yeah, that's just more quick thought. Yeah, mate. Exactly right. Now, just, you know, back to the firearms thing. Because it's just still fucking bewilders me. You know, obviously the young son, you know, when ACO is doing their fucking thing, they're like, oh yeah, he lives here. Dad puts an application in, puts the same address. You know what I mean? Yeah, and all those systems are in place. All those systems in place. You can, you look up one person on the system. They'll be associated with the location. Exactly. The location is associated with other people. It's not hard to do. So it's all there and whether it's in whether it's actually the information is there. I don't know. The systems are in place. So the same household applies for fire and gets approved. Now, we speak about soldiers that have been, you know, accused of war crimes. We know for a fact to scow joe. Yeah, we won't say exactly who, but there is a number of high-profile Australian soldiers that have had their firearms removed because they're under investigation due to the Afghanistan inquiry. Now, what's happened there is that a lot of them are registered firearms users and so are their wives. But what the police came and did in those situation was come in and take the firearms off the husband, the veteran, the former Australian Special Forces soldier, then they also took the guns off the license firearms user, which is also the wife. So the wife wasn't allowed to have firearms in the house because the husband lives in that same house and they are accused of an indictable offense, right? A serious and indictable offense. And although they've never had any criminal history, myself included, never been charged with a criminal offense, not in the military, not as a civilian, clean record, Google me, there you are. And, but they're going to come in and take your wife's firearms just because you live in the same house as them. So we know that there are policies in place to do this and that includes dudes like one of the boys who had him and his wives, guns taken off them, has a huge farm. They're literally cattle farmers. They need to protect the sheep, the cattle, the horses on their property. That's pretty much the whole reason for firearms in this country. And they're not allowed to have firearms because they're under investigation. The wife can't have them. But a terrorist's dad who's preaching the fucking hate speech, who's associating with people that are calling for G-hard on Sydney streets is allowed to have a firearm. It's not just registered to soldiers, it's happened to cops. They go off at work and at one stage they would just have this blanket rule like if he went off and worked, they'd take your guns. I think they eventually worked yet that it's not within the, it's actually within the legislation to do that. So that pie chart reduces, that 60% reduces down to say 10%. And then, but I think what Azeo and what the current thought process in their minds is, that means 90% of the threats in this country are right wing extremism. But that's not correct. The right wing threat hasn't really grown that much or haven't become any more violent or extreme.
