The Dark Side of TikTok

The transcript exposes two deeply disturbing cases of familial exploitation on TikTok. The first is the "Dad and Daughter Dream Team" account, where a father and daughter’s content—featuring romantic lip-syncs, a purity ring, and a fictional love story—reveals a relationship far beyond normal boundaries. Despite claims of a healthy bond, the content, Sarah’s clothing, and Patrick’s admission of writing a disturbing fantasy profile as "Miss Ariala" expose systematic control and inappropriate intimacy. Sarah’s emotional detachment from the abuse further illustrates her entrapment. The second case involves Dakota, a man with dwarfism, and Felicity, who, after being rescued from homelessness, becomes entangled in a toxic relationship and exploited by TikTok creators seeking profit. Felicity’s manipulative behavior and China Doll 9’s exploitative content—driven by a history of criminal activity—turn a life-saving support into a cycle of harm. Both cases reveal how social media platforms normalize inappropriate relationships, allowing predators and exploitative dynamics to go viral, while victims remain invisible and emotionally isolated. These stories serve as warnings about the dangers of online content that pretends to be wholesome, masking abuse, control, and emotional manipulation under the guise of family or connection.

Every day, millions of people open TikTok expecting to waste a few minutes watching dance trends, funny clips, or viral drama. But every once in a while, the algorithm surfaces something that feels completely different. A video that makes your stomach drop. Something you can't explain, but can't stop watching either. Today, we're getting into some disturbing TikTok users. Accounts that left millions of viewers horrified. And make sure you like the video and subscribe to the channel. And let's get into it. Dad and daughter Dream Team Every Father's Day, social media is hit with a wall of posts dedicated to dads all around the world. Users show pictures and videos of themselves with their father, along with a comment showing their appreciation for the man that raised them. Other times, people with less than ideal relationships, or sometimes no relationship at all, will make a post about their deadbeat dad and how awful he is. Either way, fathers get the spotlight for 24 hours, and when that clock hits midnight, everyone basically goes back to their everyday lives. That's most people. But for others, Father's Day is every day. Like Sarah and Patrick Getchell, the owners behind a TikTok account called Dad and Daughter Dream Team. The account seemed to be an innocent attempt to create wholesome dance and lip syncing videos as a father and daughter duo. The two have a quirky, even, awkward energy, but it fit the vibe of what they were going for. When stumbling across a few random videos, someone probably would have thought it was just a way for them to bond, and something fun that they could do together. But I took a deeper look at the history of their account, and watched more than just a couple random videos. And doing that is when things went downhill, and it went quickly. In barely the blink of an eye, Dad and Daughter Dream Team was more like a nightmare. A nightmare that starts with a viral video from what was actually their first account, one called Just a Dad and His Ladybug. The name alone is enough of a warning sign, but the video that gained them their first slice of real attention is something that should have plastered yellow caution tape all around the family. Sarah, will you wear this ring as a sign and a promise to God and to me to remain pure until the day you're married? Yes, that is gorgeous. Here you're watching. Users immediately stormed the comment section with anger, confusion, and most of all concern. One commenter says, "A father shouldn't be obsessed with his daughter's purity like this, very disturbing." Another user says, "This is definitely weird, like there's a difference between a close relationship with a parent and this." But what happened after that video and the waves of backlash that they received is that they just created the aforementioned original account, Dad and Daughter Dream Team. It was a fresh start. The dance videos returned, they built a façade of a happy family using TikTok in a wholesome way, spreading joy as Patrick has often said in his videos. But there was a reason for all of the outcry created in their comment sections. A reason they couldn't outrun. What was actually happening couldn't be hidden forever. A lip sync video wasn't nearly enough to cover up the creepiness of the relationship. And in fact, some of the lip syncs showed the very problem. It starts with their choice of song. Although they've branded themselves as wholesome and quite literally pure, there's nothing like that in these songs they're singing together. At least not in the context of Patrick being Sarah's father. The first example I'll give is one of them singing "You're the One" from the Grease soundtrack. Sure, it's a catchy song from a popular musical, but it's also romantic. It's clearly something that is sung to a partner, a crush, or really anyone other than your family, nonetheless your dad and his daughter. But the dad and daughter dream team disagree. They think it's a fitting song for them. I'll play the video, and although I can't play the music due to copyright, just imagine a love song that's truly meant for a lover. Not a dad and daughter to sing to each other. If this song they were singing wasn't bad enough, the way that Patrick and Sarah look at each other is honestly unsettling. There's no better way to describe it. It's not a normal way for a father to look at his daughter, other than the very obvious age gap. I would have no reason to believe they weren't actually a couple if I didn't actually know what was happening. The "You're the One" that I want video is just one of many. Actually, Patrick goes beyond just lip-syncing to other popular music, and he decides to write his own songs. Songs that are for Sarah. ♪ No matter where I go, no matter what I do, you'll always be a part of me and me a part of you. ♪ ♪ I want to give you everything in this entire world, just because I love you like sweet things. ♪ Now, everyone watching this unfold is in agreement that there's something very wrong with the dad and daughter dream team. And one very important question is raised. Where is Mom? Well, Sarah does in fact have a mom, and Patrick has a wife. Her name is Teresa, and she's actually the one behind the camera. Hi guys. Yeah, I don't like being in front of cameras, but I'm behind the camera. I'm with them all the time. I'm supporting them, and I have a card in it too. So yeah, you finally got to see me in here right now. So yeah, there is nothing, nothing else, but dance trends and fun going on here. I promise. Now, all they needed to do was let Teresa introduce herself and then return to their normal content. Instead, Sarah uses it as an opportunity to say that nothing is happening as if having her mom on camera is supposed to be evidence of that. But really, it just makes everything much weirder. It's not just what Sarah is saying, but also what she's wearing. Her shirt says I'm his ladybug with an arrow that points to the left, which I'm assuming it's where she'd want her dad to stand because she's his ladybug. Even saying out loud feels wrong. Shirts like that, the ones with the arrows and a corny saying on it, are more often than not designed for couples, or if they are for a family, it's obviously an innocent design. But being your dad's ladybug doesn't feel so innocent. What it feels like is weird. But besides that, the video is proof that Patrick and Sarah are seeing the comments, the backlash, and even more importantly, the genuine worry that some viewers have. The video with Teresa was a taste of how they feel about all of these comments, but the more messages that people leave, the more angry they become. Specifically, Sarah. I thought it was pretty clear when I said people were spreading lies, but apparently I need to be specific for the low intelligence people in the room. Pay attention, because after this we go back to posting our regular content and anyone who doesn't like it can touch grass, while not keep addressing this. I am not in an inappropriate relationship with my dad. We are father and daughter, and we are close. Nothing more. Obviously, she's very upset here. The allegations against her father are infuriating to her, which is understandable considering how much she seems to love him. Given her behavior in every video they make together, I do wish that she could put a rest to the rumors, stop receiving such negative attention, and nothing inappropriate or creepy ever appears on their channel again. They could be a- normal dad and daughter, who have no reason to freak the internet out. But that's not the case. Things only get more disturbing. They get horrific. Fast forward a couple of years and users of TikTok are still following Patrick and Sarah, who have now deleted the dad-and-daughter dream team, and created their third account, which they've simply named the Getchal family. When announcing this change, Sarah and Patrick clarified that although their previous account would be gone forever, they weren't going anywhere. They were now going to shift to making content that focused on the entire family. This would include not only Teresa, the mother, but also Hunter, Sarah's teenage brother, who so far hasn't been shown that much. The rest of their family would get more camera time, but not much else would change about their content. They do start to livestream pretty often, but still lots of lip syncing and dance trends. The common denominator in everything they make is that Sarah and Patrick are almost always touching in some way. Whether it's holding hands, hugging, or leaning up against each other, they're always connected in some sort of way. And also keep in mind that, at this point, Sarah is 23 years old. But instead of being off on her own, hanging out with friends and possibly starting her life as an adult, it's clear that she spends all of her time with her family, or more like with her dad. So much so that they even wrote a book together. Do you love dragon fantasy books? Well, do we have a treat for you? Hi, I'm Patrick. And I'm Sarah. We just wrote an incredible tale for you. That incredible tale is basically about a daughter named Jalen, who finds an injured dragon that her father doesn't trust. This splits them apart. And Jalen has to find a way to make peace with her dad before the kingdom gets destroyed. The whole thing from the story to the book cover looks like it's made 98% by AI. But even more questionable is the storyline. It's basically about a daughter disobeying her father, which reminds me of the first video that started everything. The one of Patrick giving her a purity ring. So she stays as uncropped and innocent as he wants her to be. It makes this plot line feel creepy, like extremely creepy. Not only that, but again, it's like Sarah and Patrick's live revolves around each other. Not only are they creating content, writing a book and living together, but then the book itself is literally about a father and daughter. It's more than just being close. It feels intimate, like their relationship is more than a parent should have with their child. And that doesn't have to be an accusation of the thing that we're probably all thinking. It doesn't have to mean something really bad, but it's far from good. Even if the worst of the worst isn't happening, there could still be mistreatment going, even if it's subtle. Like the purity ring, for instance, which has been used as an example a lot, but for good reason. The purpose behind giving that to your daughter is control. Even beyond that, power. Patrick wants power and control over his daughter. He wants her to be around him constantly. Do everything with him, and worst of all, he wants a say in what she does with her body. So now Sarah, a 23 year old woman isn't having the normal and free life that she deserves. She should be finding herself and creating a life outside her family. But that's not what's happening, which is heartbreaking enough. But sadly, that's the best case scenario. Because of course, many people believe, for good reason, that there's something much more sinister happening behind the scenes. In October of 2025, viewers discover something that makes that gut feeling more than a theory. The whole thing suddenly becomes much more real than an off-putting TikTok account. It started with a discovery on a website called Littorotica, somewhere that people can post fictional stories that tend to be more explicit. It's similar to a more popular site called Wattpad that may sound more familiar. Users who both use this site and were following along with Dad and daughter dream team, connected an account on their to Patrick himself. It was a profile with the name of Miss Ariala. There is only one story on the account, but it is more than enough to make any reader sick. Very sick. I can't read any of it. Not that anyone would really want to hear it because it's just so vile, but it starts out with, hello, my name is Ariala. I have been wanting to tell my story for a long time, but it isn't something I can really talk about with a lot of people. The story she wants to tell us about a young woman who has dreams of being intimate with her father, and eventually how she acted out those fantasies. It's genuinely disgusting. One of the most disturbing things I have ever read. And the worst part of it all is that it isn't some random person hiding behind a screen. Someone that we can hope and pray is just using their imagination, but would never possibly act out what they're writing. Maybe they don't even have a daughter, and it's all some twisted form of creativity or a fantasy, but it's not. It's written by someone who has a long history of video proof that shows inappropriate contact with their daughter, and with each single upload of things like that, there are hundreds of accusations thrown against them that is relationship with his daughter is creepy and crosses a line. That person is who wrote this story. And now it's not just allegations because Patrick himself admitted to being Miss Ariala. Yeah, but here's the thing. Honestly, you know what? Honestly, yeah, I created the area. I'll account. His explanation asks to why to boost popularity. When someone sends him a message on Instagram, confronting him about all of this, he says it himself. I don't know who he thinks he's manipulating, but it sure as hell isn't me. This explanation is insane. No one is that desperate to get attention off an anonymous page. That's on a website most people have never heard of. Even if he was, he chose the one option that looks as bad for him as this does. And I don't think Patrick is just that stupid. He's really just evil. He wrote that story because he wanted to because he's been fantasizing about it and needed to play it out in some way. We can only desperately hope that it was the only way he played it out. Either way, Sarah is caught in a devastating situation. She's been raised in such a dysfunctional and unhealthy environment that has her trapped. And now it's just been discovered that her own father is riding such horrible, gross, and horrifying fantasies. It would make sense for her to be distraught, to be angry, to be sick. But that doesn't happen. She's next to him in the video where he admits to being behind the Miss Areola account. And her reaction is just nothing. No shock, no anger, no tears, nothing. In fact, the person who was on the livestream and got Patrick to admit it actually tells Sarah to give your father a hug, which is an insane thing to ask of her after that and gross in its own way. But Sarah does just that. She hugs him, she doesn't say anything, she doesn't have any real expression on her face. She just hugs him and comforts him, which is beyond messed up. And it only proves how deeply wrong all of this is. Sarah is a victim, but she doesn't know it. She has no idea that she deserves so much better. The comments tell her just that. They try to make her understand. Someone says, "By the way, I don't have any videos like this with my dad or imagine hanging out with your family all day every day. And finally, I hope you realize the type of situation you're in and leave. But it never really gets through to her, the touching, the inappropriate comments, even the weird stories. It's all normal to her. Because that's what Patrick has told her and will keep telling her forever. Dude, there is no normal. Everybody is different. Stop trying to normalize everything and make it boring. Everybody's different. This is the problem that people have with us. We're not normal. We don't have a normal father-daughter relationship. We don't have a normal family dynamic. Guess what? It's not your family. So don't worry about it. There is nothing wrong here. With the way we are, it works for us. It's like Dakota and Felicity. Every day, something new goes viral on TikTok. The views stack up, comments overflow, and people even start to create parodies of the original. And once the algorithm sees you watch one, you see all of them. That is, until something new gets posted and everyone jumps on that. On June 6th, 2026, the new video of the week was one posted by user, China Doll 9. With the caption, "Pool Day with Dakota and Felicity didn't go as planned." This video very quickly became incredibly popular. Right now, it has just over 4 million views, most of which are users who have no idea who these people are. They stumbled across it and were immediately intrigued by how insane the whole thing seems. Specifically with who this girl is yelling at. "Disco to Michael Harper! I love you! All I did was give you love!" Instantly, the clip creates a lot of confusion. The comments fill up with questions on whether or not it's a child she's screaming at, what their relationship is, and who is behind the camera. Little do these users know that they're at the tip of a massive iceberg. One that this video just scratches the surface of. It's barely an introduction to what can only be described as one of the most heartbreaking and disturbing stories on TikTok in the last couple of years. The story of Dakota Harper and Felicity Richie. It begins with Dakota, who is in fact not a child, but a man in his 20s who is born with dwarfism. There aren't a lot of confirmed details on his early life, other than he had a falling out with his parents at 18 and left home. Whether he was forcibly kicked out or he decided by his own free will to leave is unclear. Either way, this puts Dakota in a really hard position. He began to live on the streets in West Virginia, which is his home state. Things were not easy to say the least. He was often seen begging for money and very rarely had a stable place to live. It was extremely taxing for the time that it lasted, but it didn't last forever. His life took a turn in 2023 when a TikTok creator/rapper by the name of Crazy Kay met him on the side of the street. He initially thought he was a kid and actually let him get into his car to give him a ride, which off the bat is already a little insane that he would immediately give a random child a ride, but that's just a slice of the kind of person Crazy Kay is. Pretty quickly, he realizes that Dakota is in fact an adult and with that information, he decides to let him stay with him for a little while. On the surface, this seems great. It gives Dakota time off the street and could hopefully help him towards putting his life together, so he doesn't continue being homeless. But Crazy Kay's intentions were not all pure and good-hearted. While his house may have physically been a safe haven for Dakota, there were things happening in it that didn't create the best environment for him. Because Crazy Kay didn't really care what happened to Dakota, what could happen to him in the future, or really anything about him at all. All he was to him was a money tree. Dakota is funny. He's a tension grabbing and he has a story that will attract a lot of viewers. All of this creates content and content that creates money. But it wasn't just that Crazy Kay was using him to make money, but that the videos that were being created were mean. They poked fun at Dakota. They were demeaning. It wasn't just the exploitative skits though. Their speculation that part of why he left home or was kicked out is due to substance abuse struggles, something that would have no chance of improving at Crazy Kay's house. Because in every video with the two of them, it's clear that Crazy Kay is no stranger to substances. Overall, Dakota's health and life were falling apart. Things just got worse when eventually he was kicked out of the house. Crazy Kay alleges that Dakota stole money from him, leaving him no option other than to tell him to leave. While it is somewhat true that Dakota had to stop living with him for his own well-being, the streets were not the better alternative. Now, he wasn't being used for money and humiliated on a daily basis anymore, but he had no food or roof over his head. That is, until he found an abandoned house that acted as a camp for other homeless people in the area. I don't think it would qualify to be called a home, but it was enough for Dakota, which is incredibly sad because the conditions of this living arrangement were horrendous. He had no running water or electricity, and who knows the filth that had accumulated in a space like that. But beyond that, the people he was living with were very dangerous. They would often steal his things, assault him, and trick him into doing labor for them, because they would steal the last bit of money he had. He was again forced to beg on the streets in order to survive. While it's a terrible situation to be in, it is one that led Dakota to the right place and right time, so that he could meet someone who would give him the stability and peace, something he hadn't seen in years. This would be Korkal, a well-known content creator who makes videos of him riding his motorcycle, and at this point had about a million followers. In October of 2023, Korkal was filming some of his regular content when he came across Dakota, who was walking around with a sign, hoping someone was nice enough to help him eat that day. Little did he know, Korkal would do just that. But Korkal would do so much more than just by Dakota Taco Bell. His first order of business and helping him was to get him an actual ID, because Dakota had lost his and was living without one. Now, with an ID, he was able to get an apartment, but before Korkal could help him get that, he put him up at motels so he could stay safe. This is when Felicity Richie enters the picture. Felicity is from Oklahoma originally, before moving to West Virginia. Other than that, I can't find too much information on our history or life before Dakota. Which is fine, because there's more than enough details on the life that the two of them have been living for the last three years. They immediately hit it off, meeting in the Motel Lobby, where Felicity asked to [BLANK_AUDIO] a dog that Dakota had at the time. Within minutes, she asked if he wanted her to be his girlfriend, and the rest was history. Things started to change for not only Dakota, but also Corco. The wholesome friendship that had grown between the two now had a bomb dropped between them, a bomb in the shape of Felicity. She immediately wanted all the tension from her new boyfriend. This meant that when Corco would take Dakota out to get things that were meant to help them, she would tag along and add things into the cart. She framed it as having her boyfriend buy her anything she wanted, but it was on Corco's time. The two of them clearly became a hefty expense on the content creator, but he continued anyway, helping not only Dakota, but Felicity as well. This is despite her problematic behavior, which starts to crop up as more videos are made of them. Like in the end of that last video, after she gets a new phone, she immediately gets a call. When asked who it is, she says her ex-boyfriend, slash best friend. Dakota immediately switches from happy go lucky to dejected, something that his friend, Corco notices right away, because as we've seen so far, he has Dakota's back. He wants the best for him, and throughout all of this, he's been working hard at giving him the one thing that would really change his life, in apartment. When he finally is able to secure that for Dakota, viewers are hopeful that it's only up from there. He's been through hell and back, and he deserves nothing less than a warm bed in four walls every night, and that's what he gets. Except in that bed, every night, is his girlfriend next to him, which may be fine in a normal situation, but in Dakota's case, he's not allowed to have visitors. Whichever building Corco got him set up in seems to be a building that has regulations around visitors and things like that. They are very aware of these rules, but Felicity has no desire to follow them. Even when it means that it may get Dakota kicked out of his apartment, the first stable living to condition he's had in years, Corco desperately tries to make them understand the severity of the situation, but the relationship has gone beyond reason. The two are enmeshed. They spend every waking second together, and the suggestion of anything different seems like an attack, especially to Felicity, who eventually gets banned from the property when she gets in trouble for throwing an orange peel at an elderly couple who are below the apartment's balcony. And because things have gotten so toxic, Dakota decides the best thing to do is for him to leave the apartment and go back to bouncing around motel rooms with his girlfriend. It's at this point that Corco takes a good look at how much he can help. He's given them countless amounts of clothes, food, new phones, pairs of glasses, and even doctor's appointments for the both of them. The apartment was supposed to be a stepping stone for Dakota so he could get his life in order. But now, Dakota has thrown that all down the drain. There's not much left he can do. Corco decided that he wanted to stay in contact with them, and he wants the best for him, but he can no longer be their main support. And it's then that things really spiral out of control for the couple. They end up back on the street, but only for a short period of time. Because it's not long before another TikTok creator finds them and takes them in. But this time, it's different. While Corco did make money off the videos he created with them, his intentions were not focused on that. And honestly, he didn't need the two to make money anyways. Before meeting Dakota, he had millions of followers. He had already gained success, and he used that success to help someone in need of it. Other people did not have those same intentions. Users like China Doll 9, the creator of the first video I played of Dakota and Felicity in the pool. Her real name is Shina Rae Scott. She's originally from the same area in West Virginia and met the couple on Thanksgiving of 2025. She saw them in her neighborhood and recognized them from Corco's videos, so she immediately invited them in to eat dinner with her. What came across as a nice gesture turned into something much darker. She began making the same kind of content that was previously shown on Corco's videos, like taking them out to stores and buying them things. The main difference between the two was their goal. Corco actually wanted to help. Shina just wanted money. It's obvious when looking at both of their backgrounds. Like I said, Corco already built a platform, whereas China has instead a rap sheet of petty crimes that go from driving without license to possession of illegal substances. This doesn't make her an evil person by any means, but it is context as to what she was looking for when she met Dakota and Felicity. The pair were only a means to an end, which for China was a moment of fame in a full bank account. The part that's upsetting about it is that Dakota and Felicity desperately need help. Many followers of all of this have petty and negative things to say about each of them, especially when it comes to Felicity's infidelity and Dakota's eventual bad mouth end of Corco. But at the end of the day, they are two vulnerable people with disabilities in their own way that need to get off the streets, especially Dakota. Something that Corco warned them about was that many people will and do think he's a child. And from afar, no one would think he's an adult. This places him in an even more dangerous position to be on the street. People can already be cruel to homeless people, but for someone that looks like a child to be out on the streets, unprotected, well, it's risky. Unfortunately, Dakota had to learn how risky this was, though, through an experience. At one point while on the street and asking around for money, an old man who had extremely gross intentions saw Dakota and decided he'd be the perfect target. Somehow Dakota made it out alive, but the story is still horrific and chilling. These are the kinds of situations that he'll continue to end up in if he stays on the streets. He may not run into people as sick as that old man, but there's plenty of bad people that he's run into while homeless. But he had a chance for a better life. He had an apartment, money, food that was always in the fridge. And instead of really having that life he deserved, the toxicity of his relationship, along with substance abuse most likely, took over everything. And it's destroyed his chances of safety and happiness. But there was a time where he seemed happy, genuinely happy. But in recent videos, that life in his eyes is just completely gone. Their relationship is miserable and their life is just sad. But even as his personality fades and his hope dies, that video of Dakota and the build to bear with his friend will live forever. There are people out there that want the best for him. And hopefully one day, he'll be able to find them. So like I said, please comment down below and yeah, once again, thank you guys so much for watching and this was nook, and I'll see you next time. Bye

Summary:

FAQs

The account, created by Sarah and Patrick Getchell, began as a wholesome dance and lip-sync duo but gained notoriety for its deeply disturbing content. It featured songs with romantic themes inappropriate for a father-daughter relationship, and showcased intimate physical contact between the two.

Viewers found the content creepy and inappropriate, especially due to the romantic songs chosen, the physical intimacy shown, and the lack of a mother in the family dynamic. The use of terms like 'my ladybug' and the purity ring intensified concerns about an unhealthy power dynamic.

Patrick created a fictional account named Miss Ariala on a site called Littorotica, where he wrote a disturbing story about a woman having fantasies of intimacy with her father. This directly confirmed his inappropriate fantasies and showed he had a long history of inappropriate behavior with his daughter.

Sarah showed no visible emotion or reaction when Patrick admitted to the account. Instead, she hugged him, which viewers found deeply inappropriate and unsettling, suggesting she was unaware of the severity of the situation or was complicit in normalizing it.

The video shows a seemingly innocent scene of two people at a pool, but it leads to a disturbing narrative about Dakota, a man with dwarfism, and Felicity, who became his girlfriend. The relationship was exploitative, toxic, and involved emotional manipulation and financial exploitation.

Felicity's presence turned Dakota's stable life into a toxic environment. She used his vulnerability, skipped rules, and caused conflict that led to threats, assaults, and even eviction. The relationship ultimately destroyed his safety and mental well-being.
