The transcript blends two distinct narratives: one promoting financial wellness through Experian’s subscription cancellation service, and another detailing the dangerous psychological effects of recreational Benadryl use. Experian simplifies the process of canceling unused subscriptions, with over 200 options available in its app, offering potential savings—though results vary and savings are not guaranteed. Meanwhile, BJ’s Wholesale Club highlights a limited-time membership offer for $20, providing significant savings on groceries and gas. The second segment focuses on harrowing personal accounts of Benadryl misuse, where users report intense hallucinations, paranoia, and confusion, including seeing creatures and people that aren’t there, losing track of time, and experiencing disorientation. These experiences often lead to severe mental distress, long-term cognitive issues, and even panic or hospitalization. The content strongly warns against abusing Benadryl, emphasizing that it is not harmless and can cause lasting brain damage or psychosis. A Patreon subscription is promoted as a way for viewers to access deeper, more disturbing stories and live discussions on toxic substance experiences. Overall, the video serves as both a practical financial tool and a cautionary tale about the dangers of drug misuse.

Hey, what's up, guys?
And welcome back to the channel.
And today we're getting into the dark side of Benadryl and some horrifying Benadryl trip report stories.
And so make sure to stick around because these are truly some of the most unbelievably insane, scary, and disturbing stories I have ever read before.
Truly.
Ever read before.
And so make sure to stick around.
And I appreciate you guys stopping by.
It means the world to make sure you like the video and subscribe to the channel.
The channel subscriber goal is 1 million subscribers before the end of the year.
So please subscribe.
It helps so, so much.
And like I said, these stories are just so scary to me.
I mean, it's people abusing an over-the-counter medication and seeing some of the most horrifically scary things imaginable and also severely damaging their brain in the process.
And I will get into the more specifics of what it does to you and how damaging it truly is.
And also just a quick PSA.
This is not condoning the usage of any sort of drugs.
And do not abuse Benadryl.
It can kill you.
And so I will get more into that later before we get into the stories.
But yeah, today's stories are just so, so scary.
I mean, just the idea of being trapped inside your own head after taking an over-the-counter medication is so scary.
And also before we move on to the video, I would like to let you guys know about my Patreon where every single week,
you can find me on Patreon.
You get an exclusive bonus video where I read some of the most disturbing viewer confessions and Reddit threads and stories that I can't read on YouTube.
And alongside that, you get exclusive live streams every single Thursday, ad-free content, exclusive Discord access, and early access content.
And so you get so much, all for just $5 a month.
The link is in the pinned comment and the link in the description.
And yeah, I'm pretty excited to get into these.
And so without further ado, sit back, relax.
Grab a drink or grab a snack.
And without further ado, let's get into the dark side of Benadryl.
And before we get into these horrifying experiences, it's important to understand what Benadryl actually is and what it does to the brain and to the body.
Benadryl is a common over-the-counter allergy medication.
And because it's available without a prescription, it can be easy to assume that.
But it's completely harmless, and it can't be that bad.
But Benadryl contains diphenhydramine, a drug that can be extremely dangerous when taken improperly or in excessive amounts.
Severe misuse can cause confusion, delirium, hallucinations, dangerously elevated heart rates and blood pressure, seizures, loss of consciousness, organ damage, and in some cases,
death.
The effects can also be unpredictable.
And surviving an OD does not necessarily mean there were no lasting consequences.
And to be completely clear, I do not condone the misuse of Benadryl or the use of drugs for recreational purposes.
This video is not a recommendation, a challenge, or a guide on how to misuse Benadryl.
Instead, today, we're taking a look at first-hand accounts from people who made the decision to misuse it and what happened to them afterward.
And these experiences are just truly horrifying.
I don't know why, but these trip reports scare me more than any other stories I cover on the channel.
I think it's the fact that these people are trapped in their own mind and are also unable to decipher
what's real and what's fake.
From seeing fake spiders crawling all over them to the hat man standing in the corner
of their room, it is just truly horrific.
And so, with the disclaimer out of the way, let's take a look at the dark side of Benadryl.
One Very Odd Night
Posted by Silent Evil
And before you read this. I want to quickly lay out how it's written at first.
And so, basically, some people, whenever they do a trip on any sort of drug,
they have a trip report kind of journal where they kind of mark what time it is and what they're feeling at certain times.
And so, this guy took 16 pills of Benadryl and then he started noting how he felt at each time and it gets disturbing.
It starts out at zero time, I guess, or when he starts and says, "Took 16 total pills of Benadryl."
30 minutes later, watching Family Guy with friends, very relaxing, hands and feet are feeling kind of heavy, sounds are slightly enhanced, I'm hearing like carbonated bubbles popping in the Pepsi can on my desk, friends are now leaving, they will be back at noon tomorrow.
20 minutes later, went to the bathroom, and out of nowhere, the green walls became blue.
It was very odd, because I didn't know what was happening at first.
Hearing random sounds, like clicks, beeps, music parts, people talking, birds chirping, more people talking.
Moving has become very fluid and relaxing, seeing more random things, like subtle little movements out of the corners of my eye.
And then five minutes later. The poster does another submission and says, "Vision has become more blurred, and my mind tends to wander off track, hard to write and read."
Some minor hallucinogens now, "It-eyed, nearly impossible to trad, I can't RT same."
And then it's just a bunch of miscellaneous dots and letters, and so obviously, the OP is losing the cognitive ability to write.
And if you're watching. You can see how this kind of starts to go at the end.
He starts misspelling everything, and yeah, we can't follow the trip report anymore.
And the poster adds and says, "Well, as you can probably tell, I was just a little messed up in the brain when I was trying to write this trip report.
So I am finishing the report now, as I am sober and able to type."
The time thing kind of got thrown out the window with this whole thing, so I will just explain everything as I can remember it on that night.
Keep in mind, on the night of this trip, I was alone the entire time.
After my failed attempt to write, I got off my chair, and there was a little spider on the floor in my room.
Same size as a normal spider, not strange or anything out of the ordinary.
I have become accustomed to spiders in my room from time to time, seeing as my room is in the basement, right next to all of our storage stuff.
I proceed to catching it in a tissue, and flushing it down the toilet, and continuing my trip.
While I was walking out of my bathroom, there were like three or four more on the ground outside my room.
I really didn't think too much of it, except think that it was a little odd that randomly there were so many.
I didn't like that these spiders were there, but decided not to waste my time killing all of them.
So I went back to my room, and I decided to venture out of my room, into the fridge, not fifteen feet from my room to the storage room.
I opened my door, and looked down to see the same spiders as before, now building a little web in the corner of the wall.
And then I saw something on the floor, it was almost the same shade as my carpet, kind of a light tan.
I went down to look more closely, and I'm trying to focus the best I can, and all of a sudden my vision wasn't blurry anymore, and I saw what was on my floor.
It was a scorpion, and a big one too.
I really had no time to respond to this, because right then, I see someone run down the stairs, and go to the piano, and start playing it.
It seems like it was my brother, but at this time of night?
Following him was my dad.
walking slower he said hey turn the piano off and come back upstairs i'll tuck you in
i was relieved to see his face talking the best i could i explained to him that we have a really
bad spider infestation and that i found a scorpion on the floor he just stood there looking off
towards the pool table not saying anything i said a little louder dad and then i repeated what i
just said a little louder than i did before i was really confused now i was wondering why he
wouldn't respond back to me he then walked around towards the pool table and out of my immediate
sight i followed him to see if he was all right but there was nothing not a single person
in the entire basement trust me i searched i went back to my room and then remembered
what i went to do originally
get a drink not remembering the scorpion was on the ground outside my room i looked back at the
spiders making their web and tried to find a clear path that wouldn't disturb them right then i saw
that big scorpion again i forgot about it temporarily but there it was pincers out and
tail up ready to sting i'm not a pansy or anything but this scared the crap out of me
i jumped over it nervously and continued to get a drink and i kept seeing that
same strange color difference in different areas on my basement carpet i ignored it at first
carefully watching my step trying not to step on these scorpions and get stung
i got my drink but i didn't end up in my room for like two more hours i was at this point
sweating profusely me not ever doing any hallucinogens before and even worse doing it
alone on a friday night i went into my bar and grabbed every glass
mug i could get at this point i didn't know what reality was and what was just the hallucinogens
and that really really is not a good thing i was freaking out having the worst trip of my life
i proceeded in carefully crawling around the floor and capturing every single scorpion i could find
in my basement so that i could be safe and able to go to sleep at ease in total i put down maybe
50 to 75 glasses around my
entire basement as i'm laying down one of the cups i look up and there was this girl standing by my
couch so not knowing this person i was like who the hell are you and why are you in my house
she calmly replied that she was friends with my friend andy and they were both just stopping by
to say hi she also said that she drove him at this time it was around 2 30 a.m and i am straight
pissed now i had pretty
much forgotten about the damn scorpions andy has been known to do dumb and very inconsiderate things
but this crossed the line i found andy standing in my game room by the air hockey table and all
my brother's dress clothes i was like dude why did you come over it's like 2 a.m and he can't be here
my parents will hear you two and will ground my ass so you need to leave this second i'm not
kidding anymore i then realized that i was shouting and that my parents might hear me
so i quieted myself down and walked back into my basement area the strange girl was still there
and i kept pleading to her that they needed to leave right now or we would all be in trouble
she wouldn't respond to me i went in closer to tap her to get her attention
but just then she disappeared i was like what the hell is going on here right as i see andy
walking over towards my pool table and just as i went to tap him he disappeared too i was
so confused and scared all at the same time i shook my head and tried to make sense of all of this
and then i saw this mysterious chick again in the same place as before she told me that they would
be leaving in like 15 minutes and that they were sorry about coming over i thanked her and tried
to explain the weird stuff that was happening i showed her all the glasses and cups and told her
that there are a bunch of very well camouflaged scorpions on my carpet and i had been trying to
catch them so i wouldn't get stung i was like what the hell is going on here i was like what the hell is going on here
i told her that there may be more so look out and be very careful i was sort of calming down
i was still very carefully watching every single step i took on my basement carpet
i went to watch tv but i couldn't focus on the tv for some strange reason
i was kind of getting cold so i went to get a blanket to wrap up with but ended up getting
a towel from the bathroom and still being cold i think at this time i turned on the light to the
stairs and started up the stairs i stopped about halfway up and realized that this was not a good
idea to go upstairs like this unfortunately i was way too effed up to care i was hunting for scorpions
and they made their way up to the entryway i was determined to stop them but ended up going back
downstairs i walked back down and stood at the last step of the stairs and sat down trying to
make sense of this night and make an attempt to calm down
when i sat down i saw steve next to me at the end of the stairs i started talking to him and telling
him that i'm having a really bad trip and i need him to talk to me i looked up and it turns out
that i was talking to a blanket that was draped over the railing i got up quickly and grabbed the
blanket and threw it on the floor and used it kind of like a safe walkway from the stairs to about
halfway to the door to my room and about to the door of my bathroom
i walked on the blanket and jumped into the bathroom i was now in a safe place to think
i was looking at the spiders from earlier making their web it was now a perfect picture
round spider web with a brown recluse spider in the center of it it is poisonous and i avoided
any contact with it next i was carefully examining the big three to four inch long
camouflaged scorpion that was now under clear glass so we could see it from the other side of the
room and i had no idea what was going on when i looked at the other side of the room and i realized
that it was the spider that was behind me and that was steve and i had no idea what was going on
and i looked at the other side of the room and i had no idea what was going on when i looked up
it was quite frightening right then i noticed that steve was standing behind me pointing to
the darkness in the storage room i asked him what he was looking at and he said that i could see it
if i looked close enough sure enough there was a bird a pigeon to be exact standing in the room
looking at me with its little beady eyes moving its head around
i felt as if he could read my mind and my thoughts i turned around to tell steve that i saw the bird
and there was nobody there i was again seen and having conversations with people that were not
there i went into my room looking for anything to comfort me but the only thing i could think of
was the fact that there were no spiders or scorpions in my room as of yet i look over and
andy is sitting at my computer in my chair i didn't even know what to say to him i figured
that they left at least an hour ago since i didn't see them anywhere to make it even worse that girl
that he was with was lying in my bed sleeping i tried everything to get them to leave but nothing
i would ask him things but he wouldn't respond back to me just silence i would go to tap the
girl and she would disappear and then reappear when i was further away this was getting in
increasingly frustrating and even more i was losing it i was on the verge of a mental breakdown
i was seriously about to start crying then there was nothing i don't recall what happened from there
until just before the end of my trip the next thing that i remember was walking down the stairs
from the second floor of my house with my dad next to me talking and stuff i kept saying the
best i could that i had a nightmare and i was really hot
i was
drenched in sweat and i mean soaked he got me some ice water and i went back to the basement
in my room where i apparently went to sleep i figured that it was just another one of my
hallucinations the next morning my dad wakes me up at 10 30 telling me that he was going to one of
my brothers at school things he asked me if i remembered what happened last night of course
i responded with a what do you mean i knew what i did that night from 10 p.m to
around 6 30 a.m and the rest i figured i just slept and dreamt that part about talking with
my dad while i was still tripping here is what really happened i personally do not remember any
of this my dad told me all of this i ended up walking upstairs again but not going back down
like before i ended up going all the way to the upstairs where my brothers in my parents bedrooms
were i ended up standing right next to my parents bed on my dad's bed and i was like oh my god i'm
not saying anything just standing there he said that we had a conversation that went something
like this he said what are you doing up here i said nothing my dad said is everything okay
and i said yeah and my dad responded with what do you want and i said nothing he then brought
me back to the kitchen and gave me a cold glass of water and asked me if everything was okay
i replied yes but i had a really bad nightmare and he noticed that i was so
with sweat he said that we sat in the kitchen and talked for around another five minutes
then he said i went downstairs and went to sleep he figured that i was sleepwalking
because i had done similar things in the past so it turns out that i wasn't hallucinating talking
to my dad tripping out that's really strange because i wasn't nervous at all talking to him
just played it cool and i am in the clear and before we move on to the next one i want to

deeply disturbing posted by jason benadryl induced psychosis i'm going to describe one of the most
disturbing experiences of my life and of my family's following a very high dosage of benadryl
it started late one night i was bored and wanted to use a substance i was feeling depressed and
had no access to any other drink i was feeling depressed and had no access to any other drink
drugs i've had a lot of experience with psychedelics and i thought it would be
fun to explore a benadryl trip this was a big mistake i was alone in my room around 11 o'clock
when my family was in bed i had a full bottle of benadryl and took a significant amount of it
12 o'clock about an hour later i was feeling very sedated and i started having mild hallucinations
all the lights were off in my room and i could see the silhouette of objects starting to form in thin
air though i could not be a certain on what they were i also started seeing clear spiders form on
my bed which i did not like because there are brown recluse spiders in my house and i could
not tell if they were real or not so i turned on the lights 12 30 this is when my memory went
completely blank
i do not remember a thing about the trip during the night but i know now i was awake the whole
time because of the shape of my room in the morning 7 a.m this is when things got very scary
i came back to awareness with my mom talking to me on my bed i could feel i was very intoxicated but
i didn't remember what i took my mom was very close to my face and looking at me very strangely
finally she asked what i was on
i told her nothing but my mental state and body language was very revealing
being in the middle of a very intense trip and having my mom aggressively
question me and give me very suspicious and threatening looks sent me into a state of
paranoia that eventually evolved into a full-blown paranoid psychotic state
8 a.m at this point my whole house was aware that i was in an altered state
i was in a state of sheer terror as everyone around me was questioning me and staring at me
i was so wired up with fear paranoia and disorganized thoughts that my eyelids were
pried open receding nearly into my eye sockets giving me a psychotic look my brother who has
seen a lot of psychotic and schizophrenic people while he was homeless said i had the classic look
in my eyes and face of someone suffering with schizophrenia
a look of terror and complete confusion accompanied by the insane look in my eyes
i was having paranoid auditory hallucinations of voices and disorganized speech and thought
processes 8 to 9 a.m at this point i felt nearly brain dead my short-term memory was completely
gone i would begin a sentence and then completely forget what i was talking about
or one of my family members would ask me something
and i would start answering it and then forget what they asked and what i was saying in response
even worse i was having vivid auditory hallucinations of my family members saying
things to me that they weren't and the hallucinations were in their tone of voice
and mannerisms i would see their mouths move to what i thought they were saying as well
it was impossible to tell what was real and what was not i was completely paranoid and kept hearing
them saying negative things about me and my family members and i was completely paranoid
in our relationship this started a long process of having arguments with my family members
about things they did not say in the midst of the experience i was talking complete gibberish about
estuaric ideas one might have during an acid trip and how they related to subjects or ideas
that had no connection to what i was saying or to any conversation i was in the middle of having
with my family my family said the things i was saying were something that i didn't know
they were so crazy they could not describe it the whole time i thought i was making sense
9 to 10 a.m my memory at this point became so bad and my body movements and language were so
unnatural and disorganized that my brother began to fear for his life because i was lost in a deep
psychotic state he told me afterwards the look on my face was that of the murderer
i was so afraid to enter the room i was in she had to push my brother into it to deal with me
i do not remember much of what the actual experience of my mental state was but i remember
it feeling very much like what i would think someone of schizophrenia or psychosis experiences
no way to differentiate what i was feeling i was so afraid to enter the room i was in
what is real or not and little awareness of one's actions thoughts or words i believe i was in a drug
induced psychosis as far as the visual hallucinations they were very similar to
coming up on a shroom trip with very wavy walls and moving objects but the most profound part of
the experience was the head state and delusional and disorganized thoughts 10 to 11 a.m
finally i began to come down off this drug and could make more sense of reality and my short-term
memory came back i gave up trying to talk to my family because i could not determine if they were
saying real things or not i looked around my room and i had thrown medication everywhere i urinated
in a chair on my bed and on the carpet sometime during the night i feel most sorry for my family
who has had to watch me literally lose my mind and fear that i might not be sane again i tried
to talk to my brother about the experience a week later to find out what happened he said it was one
of the scariest experiences of his life and he has witnessed horrific things he could not describe
the nature of my mental state or what i was saying i see it now as one of those experiences
where there are very subtle details that are hard to understand
to describe in the experience as a whole was so complex that the depth of it in its disturbing
nature can't be put into words it took me nearly a week to recover i was hallucinating for days
i would stop hallucinating for a little while go to sleep and then wake up hallucinating again
and feeling like i was back in the same headspace luckily the hallucinations and disassociated
feelings went away and i was back in the same headspace and i was back in the same headspace
after a week i will never do benadryl ever again and i strongly recommend not trying this drug
in retrospect the experience did give me great insight into what a schizophrenic or psychotic
person experiences it's as if the wires in your brain cross and the processing of
intercommunicating data in your brain mix and the resulting perceptual experiences and
self-expression is idiosyncratic to your surrounding reality and the events taking place
so you are left saying things that you think make sense and have meaning to people that don't exist
you are left hopelessly confused and convinced by the vivid hallucinations and delusions your mind
validates it has also left me with a great sympathy towards psychotic and schizophrenic people
because that state
was hellish for me and for my family.
to break posted by clay well it all started in february when my friend and i started using
benadryl recreationally we had heard that it makes you hallucinate and we had read experiences
it was a week after spring break i got home from my girlfriend's house at around 11 20 p.m

since i had a lock and my parents are quite nosy i took many many pills he weighs a bit more than me
so it was about even i started my stopwatch as soon as we downed the first set we had all the
pills down as my stopwatch passed the six minute mark we had also consumed two coca-colas each
as crazy as it may sound a minute after i had all the pills down i swear i started hallucinating
a hardcover book appeared to be bending in the corner of my eye i didn't tell this to my friend
because he'd think i was stupid which at times i am we went for a walk as my stopwatch approached
10 minutes we disposed all the boxes and wrappers by dumping them in my neighbor's trash can
we slowly walked back to my house
we both started shaking and shivering as it was only march and still a bit chilly out
as we approached my house i noticed the downstairs lights were on i yelled oh crap and we started
running towards the house surely my mother was downstairs i told her we just went for a walk
and we were fine i told her to go back to bed i noticed my voice was becoming extremely light
and weak it was on the verge of a whisper
once she got back to bed i was very much relieved my friend and i started playing medieval total war
the best game ever i honestly don't remember it too well but he says we did i turned on some soft
rock music on low i told them we should lay down until the shock of the benadryl left i actually
just wanted to sleep my voice had turned into a whisper by now and my body felt like it weighed
about 600 pounds
we pulled the futon out from against the wall and extended it into a bed we decided not to sleep
longitudinally on the bed since we were both very straight we slept laterally with our legs
protruding a good two feet from the side of the bed i grabbed a few blankets and threw them on us
and my friend used my beanbag as a foot rest my state of mind was in one word chaotic waves of
opposing emotions overwhelmed me and i couldn't breathe i couldn't breathe i couldn't breathe i
my psyche. Fatigue, apathy, paranoia, and feminism. I checked my stopwatch. An hour had passed since
we consumed the pills. The lights were off, so I didn't get to notice any open-eye hallucinations.
My stomach started to ache with a sharp, pulsating sensation. I noticed I could evade the pain by
taking deep, slow breaths. In my mind, I thought I would puke if I stopped breathing slowly and
deeply. I felt my heart beating so fast. It was like a bass drum being beaten by an obese boxer
from southern Kentucky. Insane as that may sound, those were the exact words that came through my
head. I checked my watch again. Six hours elapsed. That can't be right, I thought. I checked it
again. Hello. My watch was talking to me. It didn't strike me as a hallucination,
but simply as the way things were. No matter what time it was, I had to pee. I would have stayed and
talked to the watch, but all that would have come out would be a whisper, and the effort it would
have taken would force me into a coma. I slowly stood up. Now I no longer felt heavy. I felt like
I was hovering. I had set my glasses by the computer. I walked slowly around the beanbag
and put on my glasses. I opened the door, and I was there. I was there. I was there. I was there.
When I finally arrived in my bathroom, I turned on the lights and began to piss.
It kept coming out. It kind of stung, but I wasn't about to complain. I noticed that we now had a
black fish in our toilet bowl. It swam aimlessly about inside the toilet. I tried pissing directly
at it, but it must have taken it the wrong way. It flipped out into the sink. I finished using the
bathroom and walked to the sink. It was so real. The fish was still in it, gasping for water.
I turned on the faucet to let it breathe. After about ten seconds, I turned it into a very small
maple tree that got sucked down the drain. I thought my plumber was going to be pissed about
this. I washed my hands and returned to my computer room. I suppose somewhere in my head,
I knew a black fish could not live in a toilet, nor could it turn into a small maple and be
swallowed by my sink. Perhaps it only happened because it was impossible. Perhaps my subconscious
awareness of the bounds of reality provoked this visual manifestation. Whatever the cause,
it freaked me out. I didn't realize it was a hallucination until I re-entered the computer
room and took off my glasses and went back to sleep. Well, I wasn't really sleeping,
but that's what I'm calling it, so sue me. Throughout the night, I continued making voyages
to the bathroom and being confronted by open-eye hallucinations such as ants and spiders swarming
out of my vents, a gecko on the mirror, a threat note posted on the bathroom door.
It was a strange feeling, having to go to the bathroom constantly,
but never being able to do so in peace. My friend announced he was leaving.
I looked at my watch. It was ten in the morning. I said goodbye and walked upstairs.
I had to go to a church trip to Des Moines at noon. I walked into the kitchen looking for food.
My mom came and told me we needed to talk. I was worried to say the least. I couldn't tell if I was
still messed up or not. We wound up sitting on a couch in my upstairs living room. My mother opened
the conversation with, how much Benadryl did you take last night? I answered with, none.
But she looked at me like, what the hell are you talking about? She hadn't asked me a thing,
but I heard it. I heard the question. I didn't want to hear and answered it.
She disappeared straight in front of my eyes. I got scared. I looked at my watch again.
Nine thirty. Oh crap, I'm still hallucinating. It was just ten. I looked at the wall clock,
which has large numbers. Hard to mistake. It was five thirty in the morning.
Maybe my parents were never talking to me. Maybe I could go downstairs and sleep. I got up and
came my way downstairs. I never made it. I wound up outside. My parents got me and started yelling
at me. My mom forced my dad to take me to the hospital. I told them it was fine, but she
insisted. To say the least, the ride to the hospital felt like years. Seriously. Years.
No exaggeration. It only took about seventeen minutes in reality, but I was no longer in
reality. In the waiting room, I asked for some water because
the dry mouth was setting in. My dad got me an Aquafina. I drank a sip and choked on it.
I couldn't swallow. I spit it back in the bottle and set it down. I told him I couldn't swallow.
Suddenly, I was back in my own house. I was in my computer room. My mom came down and told me
to get back to the hospital. Shit, I'm dreaming. I awoke and I was still at the hospital. I longed
to get back to bed with my parents' ignorance, but I was lying back down on a hospital bed
with an IV in me and sensors all over my body. I saw many hallucinations at the hospital
since it was well illuminated with fluorescent bulbs and great windows. At one point, I thought
I was in Davenport. It was a horrible trip and I can't wait until we get the hospital bill.
Joke. It wasn't even that much fun. No, it wasn't anything.
The only reason I did it was to get hallucinations, which scared the F out of me.
I still hallucinate today, although this was nine weeks ago. Just small things, of course.
i never will do benadryl again it sucked anyways to all the trippers and druggies
keep it real keep it safe time governs us all i was awake for the nightmares
at that time i thought that my previous recreational benadryl use had given me
enough experience to be able to comfortably deal with delirious it did not come close to
preparing me for this i was tired from the day but still slightly amped from the adderall that
i had taken a little afternoon in the previous week or so i had been having bizarre and very
disturbing dreams that i believe reflected my general frustration with the fact that my life
had not been going as planned i was very depressed and had recently dropped out of
college after my first semester
despite a 3.9 gpa a few months prior to this experience i had been hospitalized for a
od in retrospect i'm not so sure if it was entirely accidental it was thursday night
around 11 o'clock my room in the suburbs of an insulated northeastern college bubble town
i wanted to go to sleep but could not because of the adderall i decided to take one of my mom's
uh sleep pills to help me get to sleep at 11 i ingested the sleep pill i sat at my computer in
my room and read articles on wikipedia waiting for the effects to come on i don't know why i
did not go to bed maybe i already knew what i was going to do after a few minutes a kid i had
met at school before i dropped out dm'd me and we started conversing 20 minutes later i began to feel
very mildly sedated i noticed that typing required more effort than thought instead of being able to
rely on muscle memory i had to consciously tell my fingers which keys to push and i had little
trouble following the conversation 10 minutes later i was definitely feeling more heavily
sedated i started feeling slightly disassociated almost like a very low level trip
with fewer visual distortions i thought to myself that i would probably go to bed soon
i also experienced a little numbness and even forgot that i was holding a cup of water a few
times i looked up from typing for a second and as i did i realized that depth perception and
perspective in general seemed a little bit off nothing major it just seemed a bit like the lines
of perspective did not all go to the same vanishing point and i was able to focus on
what i really wanted to do with my life and what i wanted to do with my life and what i wanted to do
with my life and what i really wanted to do with my life and what i really wanted to do with my life
it is at this point that i decided that i didn't really feel like going to sleep
i decided to experiment a bit famous last words i took another sleeping pill i had used it before
in combination with melatonin and vitamin b6 to cause some wacky dreams and i remembered it being
very mildly psychedelic and giving faint tracers especially in darkness
i also remembered that i still had some extra extract left over from my investigations
perfect i went to my medicine cabinet and got some capsules out i ingested the root extract
while in my bathroom i noticed a bottle of generic benadryl i had used benadryl recreationally in the
past on numerous occasions and i remembered strange deliriant like hallucinations with
higher doses i had used benadryl recreationally in the past on numerous occasions and i remembered
what the hell i thought i'm already abusing two non-traditional last resort drugs i was feeling
like a tweaker anyway and so i just did it i already had a bit of a tolerance from recently
abusing benadryl but i knew that i was about to feel the sleeping pill so i just took a little bit
i ingested the benadryl i walked back to my room now feeling nervous i lay down on my bed and waited
i knew quite a bit about chemistry psychology and cognitive science while at home i had been
taking several classes at a nearby university including a graduate level human cognition class
and i knew myself so i suspected that some very uncomfortable feelings would come up during this
trip after a few minutes of lying there waiting out of some weird subconscious part of my mind
i decided then and there that tonight was going to be intense
terrifying but intense i got up and walked to the bathroom to get more drugs
as i looked into the dark room i saw an apparition hovering in the darkness
in the instant before i turned on the light it looked like a thick translucent cloud in the shape
of a rippling curtain and it was very similar in texture and color to the grayish blue lights you
see when you apply pressure to your own closed eyes i took one more sleeping pill a few more
and grabbed the bottles of the sleeping pill and the benadryl to bring back to my room now
i was now feeling moderately inebriated though still coordinated enough to have no trouble
walking back in i lay down on my bed and turned off the lights i could faintly make out the
outlines of my room and the dim light coming in under my door and through my window
almost immediately i noticed the same cloudy mist this time it was taking a while for me to
pick up my entire field of vision though not obscuring it for the rest of the night this
mist covered everything and gave it an unreal dreamy quality the mist quickly grew thicker
and i could see it flowing in currents and patterns almost like a grayish green ethereal
aurora borealis except with very different kinds of patterns and moving much more quickly
and in a very jerky rough way this jerky quality of the mist made it
look as if everything was in a film played at a low frame rate an effect that characterized
the entire experience the mist would concentrate itself in the center of my vision
and when i looked at the dim outline of my swivel chair it interacted with the chair
circling around it in a current that eventually formed a cone around the column of the chair
i noticed spindly almost crystalline like structures
branching off of the upper parts of the chair when i closed my eyes i noticed a very vivid
residual image of my room as the night wore on the open-eyed image would eventually become
so ethereal in the closed-eyed one so vivid as to render them virtually indistinguishable
the entire time in my room i had been growing steadily more dissociated so that by this point
i was roughly at the level of a higher second plateau trip i turned on the lights and looked
around everything seemed basically normal just a bit off perspective with a dreamlike
unreal quality in the low frame rate effect all of which seemed to be induced by the mist
i looked at my wall and happened to notice that the clockwork orange poster showing a
silhouette of alex and his friends walking towards you looked exactly the same as the
hologram it was three-dimensional had green and orange tinges and the figures strutted back and
forth as i moved my head back and forth i looked at my other poster with similar results when i
looked back however the outlines of the figures in the clockwork orange poster were vibrating at
a high frequency the vibrations were subtle at first but very soon the variation became so large
that the character seemed fuzzy and slightly foggy much like the room after this point i have no linear
concept of memory the following i remember in small disconnected dream portions in fact
i thought that all of this was a bad dream until i spoke to my dad the next day with
traditional psychedelics like mushrooms i get visuals but they are always or almost always
clearly just visual distortions they are not real they are not fully formed or defined they do not
sit with me in my kitchen or carry out a coherent conversation with me with these it was different
everything seemed dreamlike so a dreamlike figure seemed just as real as anything else
with no reality-based frame of reference it became impossible to to distinguish
between these true hallucinations and reality and so i passed out of this world and into a state of
delirium after the intensity of the vibrating started to increase it came to a point where
the figures seemed to be vibrating so much that they now had the ability to move independently
of the poster i remember seeing the figures step out of the poster and into my room they looked
completely solidly different from what i had seen at the beginning of the poster and then i looked
at them one by one and they were completely real but at the same time not at all almost
as if they were copies of people i could sense that they were not human
by their shadowy texture and color and by the way they moved they did not walk or even really move
at all rather it was as if i was watching a series of still frames in sequence they would
jerkily step around and often appear somewhere else without warning i remember hearing voices
in my head some of them whispered some of them cried some of them screamed i do not remember
what they said only that it made me feel sad and terrified the figures from the poster were
no longer in my room but when i turned i saw a gray man sitting on my desk i then remember the
voices swelling to an overwhelming roar and i honestly thought that i was going insane
and that my personality was splitting into several distinct parts each with its own voice and
each yelling to be heard above the rest for some reason i desperately cried out how many
of you are there at which point they collectively answered we are four we are each you we are four
we are each you they then proceeded to run through a list of forgotten actions from my
early childhood every mean thing that i had ever been ashamed of doing
each time they listed an action one of the four would come forward as if to say when you did that
that was me i was the part of you that did that awful thing the next thing i remember i was
walking into my kitchen as i stepped in my older brother stepped out of a shadowy corner i was
happy to see him my brother does not live at home and i was excited that he was back we started talking and
eventually i decided to walk out of the kitchen and back toward my room for some reason i remember
turning to say good night and looking back at him i paused something was not right he was
expressionless and silent he looked strange almost two-dimensional and he would only move
when i moved when i stepped toward him he seemed to rock back on hinges and move behind the doorway
into the shadows when i stepped back he would rock back into place and appear to be normal
i spent a few seconds repeatedly stepping back and forth and watching him swing like
some demonic cardboard cut out disconcerned i turned around to go to my room only to find him
silently leaning against the wall next to me staring blankly at me
i walked around the house trying to get away from this strange lifeless shadowy incarnation
of my brother but everywhere i turned there he would be leaning stiffly and unmoving staring
blankly why are you doing this i asked him you're not even real go away i yelled at this point i ran
into my dad who apparently was real and had been woken by my screaming at the air at 3 a.m
fortunately he thought i was sleepwalking and having a nightmare and told me to go back to sleep
for a few blessed seconds after meeting my dad i returned to reality albeit a very confused and
very sedated reality but as soon as my dad walked out of sight i immediately slipped back into the
dream world again the next thing i remember was that i was trying to walk into my parents room
possibly to go get help when in route i saw a procession of shadowy figures coming out of the
closet that sits by the entrance to the room when i walked out of sight i immediately slipped back
out of the closet that sits by the entrance to the room the only one i remember looking
vaguely like an east indian acquaintance of mine what the hell are you doing in my parents closet
at three in the morning i asked him he did not answer instead he raised his right hand as if
in greeting and began to flail and jerk it back and forth very quickly while wearing the same
blank expression i had seen on my brother's face his right arm did not move in a natural way at all
rather
it flopped around as if all the bones in it had been shattered by the force of his flailing
of all the things i saw that night the two images i will never forget are those of that horrible
unnatural flailing and the one of my brother's lifeless two-dimensional body rocking back and
forth in reaction to my movements when i woke up the next morning i still was getting residual
images when i closed my eyes though to a much lesser degree than the night before
i also had a horrible headache that lasted the entire day this was extremely painful and a bad
e-crash has nothing on it finally at around five the next day i decided to smoke some
weed partially because people were smoking me out and partially because i wanted to get rid of the
pain even though the weed was nothing special the effects were very strong and very strange
i started perceiving things in a low frame rate again felt very disoriented and even numb a few
times the day after that i had a slight headache but nothing too bad and that night i saw a
fainter version of that mist again as i was trying to fall asleep this was without a doubt the most
terrifying experience of my life
i am now afraid of the dark
toxic scary danger posted by checkmate three days ago i did one of the most
stupidest things i have ever done in my life even after reading several experience reports
on taking benadryl recreationally and how bad of an idea it was i decided to give it a try
and it turned out to be the worst i've ever done in my life and i decided to give it a try
i started with a handful took more a few hours later then a few more each hours afterwards
i didn't know what time it was during any of the trip but i do remember quite a few things that
happened during it i will list and explain the things as well as i can a few of the pills didn't

another four i started to get a weird euphoric sensation in my back that eventually went up my
back and into my head after getting the head feeling if anything it felt like electricity
going through my back and then exploding through my head the trip started
i noticed something definitely strange about my vision
so i went to the bathroom to see what was up and everything my pupils were the largest i have ever
seen them i've taken many other substances i do not consider benadryl to be a hallucinogen
that have dilated my pupils but never to this extent i could hardly see a ring of color at all
a friend of mine who was spending the night said that i looked half dead
i should have stopped there but i took another and then a few more a few hours later
it was a very toxic component to the trip
this i know because i felt poisoned i felt like i had eaten some weed or any other dangerous
deliriant the visuals that i got were nothing like visuals on any other sort of deliriant there were
actual objects appearing around me that were not actually there the hardwood floor was shifting
and swirling it was hard to walk on it not because i had difficulty keeping my balance but because it
felt like the ground was constantly moving around when i sat still and tried focusing on something
it wouldn't work my eyes would focus on things very far away then very close
sometimes my eyes would strain and it would hurt really bad because it was so hard to
focus on anything i eventually couldn't take being inside the house anymore
i had a bad feeling it was hard to explain somewhat like impending doom i thought some
thing bad was going to happen to me or my surroundings at any second and this lasted
the entire trip i sat on my front porch and looked all around at this point the visuals were actually
somewhat enjoyable light posts were swaying back and forth vigorously trees were appearing on the
in my yard, changing positions, etc. Grass and plants seemed to shrink and then grow larger than
before, then start bubbling like boiling water. I would see moving objects. I would constantly think
it was a person or an animal in my peripheral vision, and it was very hard to keep from becoming
paranoid. The trip seemed to plateau. I wasn't feeling a coming up at all anymore, just a strange
feeling of being poisoned. I was delirious at this point. I hardly knew what I was doing,
but I wasn't acting a complete fool. My friend had to go home and my parents were asleep,
so I stayed in my room frightened. Something made me think that there were intruders in the house
and at times I would get a blanket and throw it over myself in the corner of the room,
just to get up a few seconds later wondering what I was doing. As the paranoia seemed to subside,
I was able to get up and go home. I was able to get up and go home. I listened to music on my computer and tried to talk to a few people online.
Text was illegible. It looked like a foreign language. I wrote down never again on a piece
of paper and the next day, I looked at it and it was just gibberish. Sitting at my desk,
I would occasionally say something to a friend and get a response. He was sitting behind me,
on my bed, or so I thought.
I would go on to this deep conversation at times, just to turn around and see no one in my room.
This gave me intense chills a few times, and I must admit that I was very scared.
I started hearing phones ringing, people yelling, conversations going on in other rooms,
radios playing, and all sorts of stuff that just wasn't really happening.
I could not distinguish the trip from reality anymore. I was completely freaked out,
and the visuals would not stop. I ran into the bathroom and looked into the mirrors.
I don't know why or how it happened, but the mirrors were completely black.
All parts of the mirrors. It was as though someone put a sheet of black marble over all of the
mirrors. I started touching my face and my hair. Everything felt alien to me. I looked into the
toilet and the water was boiling. The shower curtains were swaying all over the place. I was
trying to figure out what was going on with me, but I couldn't figure out what was going on with me.
Crinkling and then straightening out. Some of the oddest visuals I have ever had in my life.
A friend called me. I was talking to him on the phone. I was talking alright and I could
understand him. I told him what had happened, and he was asking if I was sure everything would be
okay. I talked to him for about 20 minutes in all, but at about every 5 minutes that went by,
I'd zone out and start talking about something that had nothing to do with the conversation at
hand. I was talking to him for about 20 minutes in all, but at about every 5 minutes that went by,
I'd zone out and start talking about something that had nothing to do with the conversation at hand.
I remember saying, yeah, we should still have them if my mom isn't going to use it to make us
dinner, and my friend asking me what the bloody hell I was talking about. I finally got the guts
to use some weed, so I broke up some weed and smoked it. This helped the trip significantly.
I didn't feel as confused and effed as I did before, and I actually started to feel tired
again and I decided that it'd probably be best to try to sleep. Turned the lights out. Terrible
life. I was like, what the hell is going on? I was like,
and laid down. The bed shook and bounced wildly, almost to the point of making me feel like I had
to vomit. I dealt with this for about 45 minutes and ended up falling asleep for a mere two hours.
I woke up still tripping, smoked some more, and went back to bed. I ended up doing this
five times in all before morning. My stash was completely gone, my room was messed up,
and my bed was pulled out from the wall into the middle of the room.
I remember putting on some music and then pushing the bed after the third time I woke up.
Even in the morning, I was still tripping. I could read, but everything was dangerously blurry.
Outside, sometimes I'd trip over stuff because I didn't see it there. Funny, the night before I
was seeing things that weren't there, now I'm not seeing things that are there. I almost got hit by
a car that I didn't see or hear. I still had feelings of people being around me at times,
and I would say,
and look back at them, and they were not there. The whole next day, I was still tripping to a
certain extent. Benadryl is not something to play around with. I imagine that it's very toxic at
recreational dosages, and it's really easy to do something stupid to myself or other people
while intoxicated on it. The likeliness between Benadryl and the other deliriants are remarkable.
At some times during the trip, I felt the same way as I did,
when I tried some other deliriants. Just completely delirious and freaked out of my mind.
It's been three days since I did that, and I gotta admit, I still don't feel back to normal.
I keep getting sharp stomach slash chest pains. I get confused easily. My appetite has changed.
My throat hurts really bad on the right side, and I guess I just have a hard time realizing
what's going on. I'm not sure if I'm in a good state of mind, but I'm not sure if I'm in a good state of mind.
I feel like I have done permanent damage to myself, but I'm still going to wait a few more
days for this stuff to get out of my body. Do not do it. It's too toxic, too scary, and too dangerous.
Wobbling Down the Boardwalk
Posted by Janiti
I'm writing this so people won't have to go through what I did
with the over-the-counter allergy medicine called
Benadryl. Before you even think about swallowing a whole box of these,
try reading about what it did to me. Well, it started out with me and my friend being bored.
Generally, being bored with him leads to drugs. So we go to the CVS and buy a box of Benadryl.
We were down at the shore, two hours from my house, and we weren't sure on the dosing of it.
I had forgotten what I read online.
I assumed a moderate amount for both of us. Well, I was wrong. It was more than sufficient.
It was horrifying. And this is going to be really long, so grab some snacks.
So we opened them in my car and downed them all with some water. Then we got out,
grabbed our towels, and headed to the ocean. I thought tripping on the beach would be fun.
It wasn't in any sense of the word.
Hundreds of people didn't make things any better. We had crumb cake and a few energy drinks with us
that we had recently bought. He drank the entire can on the way to the beach.
I never touched mine throughout the day. I don't know why. This was his first mistake.
We settled down on the beach and I had to go to the bathroom. So I got up and started walking
towards it. This is where the Benadryl hits me out of nowhere. All of a sudden,
it feels like the gravity was turned up to a hundred. I got used to it pretty quickly
and continued to the bathroom. I couldn't go, or even had to go anymore.
I went back to him and sat next to him. He seemed unable to talk, unable to communicate at all.
I was a little worried, but I figured it would pass.
About a minute after looking around the beach like I had never seen one before, he taps me and
tries to ask me where the bathroom is. I try to respond, but can't really talk. I just pointed to
it. He started to get up, but then collapsed and started throwing up on his towel. This is where I
start to get scared, worried, and extremely confused. I just sit there and watch, helplessly,
getting more and more upset the more he throws up, almost to the point of tears. I couldn't move
out, getting extremely nauseous. Despite that, I tried my best to make it to the water. I get there,
and the feeling of nausea is too much for me to even stand up, so I go back to the towels.
I found him in the same position, huddled over with his arms over his head and a pool of vomit
right below his head. I just stared, with such a mix of feelings, that it was almost like I felt
nothing. He was hyperventilating in random spurts,
which also made things a lot worse for me. He told me to call the ambulance, but
I had the feeling that it wasn't quite that bad. Later on, he thanked me that I didn't call an
ambulance. I looked down at my legs, and started to remember all the experiences I had read online
about people seeing spiders and worms on their skin when they're on this, and think to myself,
why now? Sure enough, I saw these spiders crawling all over me. Hundreds of little
translucent spiders about the size of a pencil tip. Sometimes, they'd make patterns, and usually,
when I couldn't see them, I could feel them. On my back, under my arms, etc.
I kept telling myself to calm down because I knew freaking out would make it worse.
I looked at the clear blue sky and took it all in. I decided to try and get to the water again.
The same exact thing happened again. I got there and turned around because of the nausea.
This time when I was coming back, some random lady asked me if I'm having a good time.
Who the hell would do that?
I'm still unsure if it was a hallucination or not, because I never actually saw her.
But I had a feeling she was sitting on a towel in front of me.
I just bit my lip because I was still having a hard time creating sentences.
Well, I started walking away, into my own towel, and she just starts flipping out.
Screams something like, oh, that's a nice response.
And going on and on, but I didn't catch the rest of it.
She has even more part in my story than this too.
I get back to the towel, and my friend is still in that same position.
By now, it's been like 45 minutes.
There was a second point where he tried to go to the bathroom again, and the same thing happened.
I repeated this, going to the water scenario, around five or six times at least.
Each time while I was sitting on a towel, seeing and feeling the spiders,
One of those times, as I was walking back,
this old woman sitting in the chair with an umbrella asked me,
why can't I make up my mind?
I paid no attention, trying not to get the same reaction as last time.
I wasn't sure if these women talking to me were hallucinations or not,
but it was best not to draw attention by talking into thin air if they were.
Eventually, I mustered up the concentration and strength to go up to the boardwalk and walk around.
I invited my friend to come along.
He said yes, but didn't move.
He started going on and on about how bad of a friend I was,
and what an asshole I was.
This came out of nowhere.
We're pretty good friends, and he doesn't really have a reason to say that stuff,
but, again, I wasn't sure if that was him or me hallucinating.
The next time I looked at him, his face was extremely mutated,
like something out of a movie, The Hills Have Eyes.
I tried closing my eyes, and,
opening them again,
and he still looked the same.
After a few minutes, he looked normal again, though.
I asked him again after sitting there for ten minutes,
and he just gave me some money, so I decided to go alone.
I could not, for the life of me, walk in a straight line.
I would drift back and forth as I was walking.
This was probably the worst thing I could have done in this situation.
People are cold and relentless when they think they're right.
This experience on Benadryl,
wouldn't have been as bad as it was if it wasn't for the people I had to deal with.
Then again, I may have hallucinated at all.
And that's a question that's going to haunt me for a long time.
The auditory hallucinations were far beyond anything I imagined this drug could do.
I felt like I had schizophrenia the entire time I was on the boardwalk.
It was very unsettling.
There wasn't a point on the boardwalk of all the time I was on it
that someone wasn't yelling my name.
They were extremely convincing.
I'd turn around and find no one or two people talking to each other.
It was always a friend of mine, a group of friends,
or my own mother of the voices I was hearing.
There were far too many of these to go through them all.
But there are a few that was extremely confusing to me.
At one point, I heard my friend, the one who was laying on the beach,
run up behind me and start talking to me.
And if I didn't pay attention, he would start screaming my name
and start chasing after me.
It was only when I turned around that it would all cease.
Eventually, I learned to look at the ground
and look for a shadow behind me.
And if I didn't see one, I would ignore it.
The ones where my mom was angrily yelling my name
were extremely hard to ignore,
but I knew if I turned around, there would be nothing.
As I got to the end of the boardwalk,
I heard a group of 19-year-old boys saying something like,
yeah, look at you wobbling down the boardwalk.
This was pretty creepy.
Because I couldn't, as with the rest of the auditory hallucinations,
discern if this was real or not.
About two minutes later, I heard an announcer
on one of the boardwalk games say something like,
we've got great smoking devices here for tobacco or anything else,
as you might not want to wobble down the boardwalk
because that's a first-class ticket to get the cops' attention.
After that crap, I decided I'd had enough of the boardwalk.
I continued walking after I got off the boardwalk into a parking lot.
Still hearing friends of mine trying to get my attention.
I walked past an old man in a wheelchair,
and when I got about 50 feet ahead of him,
he tried asking me if I could help him in.
I was assuming he meant into a car.
Now, usually, I would help someone like that,
but not today.
I just continued to walk.
Confused and scared out of my mind,
not understanding whether he was real or not,
I got into my car,
which I sat in for a bit.
The lady that was flipping out on the beach
flew past my car with someone driving
and her in the passenger seat.
She screamed some pretty nasty obscenities at me
as they sped off.
Then there was this guy walking down the street
talking on a cell phone.
He said,
now, honey, he didn't know.
It's not his fault.
And a few other things that tried to relieve me.
He wasn't anywhere near his car.
I don't even know if her car made it down the street
or just. disappeared.
I was so lost.
For the next three hours,
I was looking for my friend non-stop.
I was walking up and down the boardwalk,
looking on arcades and stores,
and going up and down from the beach
and walking all over it all.
This time,
still having people yelling my name.
Even people I didn't know,
which made things even more difficult.
One of the times I was down on the beach,
I noticed a seagull with a kite string
coming down in about six inches about the sand.
This incident,
insane purplish bat was whizzing through people
with unmatched energy.
It took me a bit to understand
that was the seagull's kite,
which makes absolutely no sense.
Eventually, the beach emptied down to 50 or 60 people,
which made him easy to spot.
I walked up to him,
unsure if he would disappear before I got to him.
I sat next to his head.
He was looking into infinity.
He was just staring straight across the beach.
We talked a little.
Not much, though.
I got him up and we walked back to my car,
talking of our experiences and bit and other random things.
We got in my car and that's pretty much the end of all hallucinations.
Although while in the car,
I did see the spiders a bit more.
I saw that old man three more times throughout the night, though,
making him yet another unsure thing.
This experience scarred me a bit.
I do not ever want to go back to the beach.
Unfortunately, it turns out we're going there in three weeks.
This has also made me want to completely stop using drugs.
It's just not worth it.

I've taken smaller doses of Benadryl before
and had not had any real lasting problems,
so I figured it was okay to take more
without experiencing any ill effects.
I was wrong.
Oh, God, was I wrong.
I was walking to school one morning in October,
and I stopped by the grocery store on the way there to pick up the pills.
I purchased a bottle, some sleep aid, and a Butterfinger bar.
As I left the store and continued on my way to school,
I took some pills.
This was about 6:20 AM.
I was looking for a way to not entirely be myself,
at school that day.
A chance to be so out of it that I could sleep through class
and just waste the day away without having to think too much.
Needless to say, I got more than I bargained for.
Anyways, so I continued walking to school
and was basically fine until around 6:50 or 6:55 AM
when I arrived.
I walked through the building for a few minutes,
but because I was a little early,
not too many people were there,
so I wandered back outside.
Outside, I was walking past the gym
when I saw this guy that I sort of knew.
He was a good friend of one of my friends,
and he said hi as I walked past.
I said hi as well,
and was anxious to make my way past him and go on into the school.
But then he noticed that I was not walking exactly straight,
and he asked if I was okay.
I told him I was fine, which wasn't true.
I was not anywhere near fine, but that's what I said anyways.
He didn't quite believe me.
I think he thought I was drunk or something
because I was walking all crooked and kept tripping,
and I wasn't talking like the most intelligent person ever.
At this point, I was starting to feel the effects of the drug, majorly.
I was having a very hard time walking, especially with my book bag on.
It felt like I was being pushed down by some unknown force,
like someone had turned the gravity up and was still turning the knob.
My tongue was becoming increasingly weak.

BJ's, home of the save. recently larger, and it wasn't working too well.
I would try to say something, and instead of using my tongue to form sounds,
it just kept getting in the way.
So he kept asking me what was wrong, and I kept telling him that I was fine.
Just leave me alone and let me go.
But he wouldn't let me go.
He was telling me that I was not okay, and I needed help.
Then a teacher or someone came by.
I don't know if someone went to get her or if she just happened to be walking by,
but she sat me down in a chair and told me to rest and calm down.
Well, I tried to sit down, but I kept slipping out of the chair.
And finally, I ended up just laying on the floor, right outside the gym there.
I kept trying to get up, but no one would let me.
Some other teacher or administrator people came by, and they kept asking me questions.
They were asking me. What I had taken and how much.
I wouldn't tell anyone.
So the lady said that I had to tell her.
And if I didn't, then she was calling 911.
That scared me because I didn't want to go to the hospital.
I had done this before, and if I just had some time to let it wear off, I would be fine.
I don't remember too much of what happened next.
Just bits and pieces.
But I think my friend's friend and some other teacher helped me walk to the attendance office
and they put me in a chair.
I vaguely remember the lady calling 911 and giving the address of the school to whoever was on the line.
I remember seeing the paramedics come a little after that.
These two guys in all blue came into the office.
That is the last thing I remember until the hospital.
But according to my friends, who came into the office, I was passed out on the floor.
And it looked like I was dead.
I was then loaded onto a stretcher and wheeled out of the office into an ambulance.
Where I was then taken. I don't remember any of this stretcher or ambulance ride, though.
The next thing I remember is seeing this lady, about 25 years old or so.
And she was trying to get me to drink this stuff, and I didn't want to.
So she shoved this tube down my nose, through my throat, and into my stomach,
and put the charcoal into me that way.
I think I passed out again after that.
But the next time I woke up, I remember looking around and thinking,
where the hell am I?
I noticed the IV in my arm, and then I looked down and I saw that I wasn't wearing any clothes,
except this little hospital robe.
I thought, what happened to my clothes?
I noticed that I wasn't wearing any underwear either,
and the sad part was that I didn't know if that was because someone had removed them,
or if I had just forgotten to put underwear on that morning.
Then I remember my grandmother and my parents came and tried to talk to me,
but I was still not totally there.
My mom tells me,
I was saying something that made absolutely no sense,
and even talking to people who weren't in the room at all.
I was still having hallucinations also.
The walls were moving and was hearing things as well.
I had to stay in the hospital for a few more hours,
until my heart rate and blood pressure were back to fairly normal,
and they had IV'd enough saline or whatever into me,
to make me have to get up and pee about four times.
A man came in,
and talked to me,
and asked me,
if I was trying to commit S-word.
And he said that I was going to be admitted into the local behavioral center,
or mental hospital basically.
So I was checked out of the hospital,
and checked into the behavioral center,
where I had to stay as an inpatient.
Meaning that,
I had to spend the night there,
for four days straight.
After that,
I was allowed to go home at night,
but come back to the day program,
from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM for five more days.
I was put on antidepressants,
and I was suspended from school for three days as well,
because when I was passed out,
the school searched my book bag,
and found the pills,
some Advil,
and a lighter.
I have to go to a drug and alcohol abuse program for two weeks,
and continue with counseling after that.
In all, I missed seven days of school,
my chance to go to homecoming,
and now my parents are more paranoid than ever.
I nearly died in that hospital.
Now you tell me,
is it really worth it to take a few pills,
and try to change your mindset for maybe a few hours,
and risk all of that?
I didn't think it could happen to me either,
but it did.
All I know is,
I will never touch that drug again,
nor any other.
And all right guys,
