The Daily Wire is Making the Most MAGA Movie Imaginable
15m 1s
The Daily Wire has announced a new movie titled "Pawn Shop," set in Minneapolis but filmed in Livingston, Montana, where local protests erupted over its offensive content. The script is riddled with stereotypes, including a fictionalized, masked woman driving a Subaru who fatally hits an ICE agent, leading to a violent shooting that ignores real events like the death of Renee Good. The film perpetuates anti-Hispanic and anti-antifa narratives, featuring a "rooftop Korean" as a heroic figure and a morbidly obese woman as a comedic, exaggerated character. It draws on real-world tensions but distorts facts and exaggerates violence, reflecting a pattern of politically charged, satirical fiction. The project has sparked significant backlash, with locals protesting and questioning the film’s authenticity and harmful messaging. Despite featuring notable talent like Danny Trejo, the movie appears to be a low-budget, ideologically driven production more focused on promoting a specific political narrative than offering a realistic or balanced portrayal. The Daily Wire's involvement underscores a broader trend of using real events and conspiracy themes to produce content that serves ideological agendas. While the film may not have commercial appeal, it highlights concerns about the normalization of racial and political stereotypes in entertainment.

by will summer author of the false flag newsletter and please do not exit this video this is not
deja vu it may feel like it we are here to talk about another daily wire movie well i feel like
we did this last week um but we're here again it's a new movie it's pro-ice this time not anti-islam
but it's basically the same
you
Just why don't you tell us what the movie is about and how you got
your little greedy pause on the script if you can tell us
yeah so a few weeks ago we were here to talk about run hide fight infidels ben shapiro's latest flick
starring jonathan majors but now we've got the script of a daily wire movie that is currently
in production in livingston montana this one is tentatively called pawn shop um and so you know
we're kind of this timeline we're on soon i'll be finding out about these things as
soon as they have the idea maybe when it's going through casting who knows so basically um yeah
this has caused a bit of a tumult in livingston montana there were some protests people were
honking their horns someone got their hands on a script and sent it to me and so today we're here
to review it see if we want to book our tickets stuff like that do you want to book your tickets
you know i don't think so i think um i'm gonna make you do it anyway so it doesn't matter well
of course look i'll be i'll keep my daily wire plus subscription but you know i think if anything
and it's obviously different a script versus a movie but this this makes run hide fight infidels
look like citizen kane okay i mean this one this one may be worse i mean this is the for what it's
worth this is the same kind of production team and producer uh that did run hide fight infidels
previously did movies like dragged across concrete which is very good i don't know if you've seen it
no um but but that was before ben shapiro uh started the movie and i think it's going to be
getting in the collaboration all right we're going to get into why the daily wire does this
stuff and how much it costs them but let's talk about the movie itself i'm going to read from
the piece that you have up on our site the film centers on an antifa siege of a minneapolis pawn
shop amid anti-ice unrest not so subtle you'll notice the theme here is there's no subtlety
whatsoever on one side an ice agent joined by a group of pawn shop employees and customers
on the other a rabble of progressive protesters and eventually a bloodthirsty
ms-13 death squad both intent on rescuing hispanic men detained by ice film's first
minutes will likely get the most attention as pawn shop opens two ice agents in minneapolis
arrest the latino man later revealed to be an ms-13 boss dim-witted liberal activist film the
scuffle with agents as they try to take their suspect away and here's where it gets ridiculous
then the film's renee good stand-in enters renee good for those who don't remember was the one who
was fatally shot in minneapolis it was tragic just so happened that the film was shot in minneapolis
it was tragic just so happened that her family has filed a suit today against ice naming christine
ohman steven miller in it but that was just weird timing anyways this renee good stand-in enters
slamming her subaru into the ice van described with the subtlety of a brick as quote melanie 40
a fat blue hair woman she's blasting npr so we have the subaru and the npr she's in the car with
another unattractive woman as she's described is the other woman also masked yes okay of course so
they're masked they're listening to npr they're listening to npr they're listening to npr they're
listening to npr and they're driving a subaru nothing wrong with subaru revs up again and
fatally hits ice agent juan with her car then his ice partner mike shoots her in a justifiable
killing all right let's stop there and just uh unpack this how many tropes can we count here
will yeah so i mean i i you know we've got some i believe blue hair she's described as having you
know colored hair perhaps you know the mask certainly the npr in the script uh as one of
our editors pointed out it says she's driving a subaru normally
a non-threatening car you know unless it's being used to plow into ice agents all right this is
reading directly from the script melanie reacts to the drawn gone with panic she mashes on the gas
as she throws the car in reverse accidentally slamming juan out of the way he goes flying
into the gutter he's bleeding as the car reverses mike fires twice through the windshield the first
shot hits melanie in the neck below her covid mask second in the head above her covid mask
blood splatters on her passengers who's also 40 female and overweight passengers
hits her forehead uh the blood hits her forehead and her matching covid mask pretty gruesome stuff
yeah i mean you know it's it's pretty twisted and obviously it's being you know cast here as you know
what if the renee good shooting was justified and what if we change several details to make it
justified yeah uh yeah so that's the problem is that they're just changing important details right
they're saying what if renee good had already slammed into an ice vehicle
yeah or in this case in the script's case literally hit an ice agent with her car
which never happened yep exactly and and you know there's certainly you know from the segment you
read there they're certainly you know taking some glee here there are all these kind of details about
this you know classic liberal you know getting shot up it goes on the ice agent drags his suspect
into the pawn shop with an antifa mob hot on their heels the stage is now set for a siege
during which numerous mall tough cocktails will be thrown and shotgun shells will fly inside the
pawn shop and we meet a grizzled hispanic owner and his son this is where they're just laying down a little teapot
i think the son is newly back from college and majoring in chicano studies much to his father's
chagrin the son is dressed in a jaguar shirt and quote listening to a pop song unfitting for a man
yeah he's he's introduced i think he's biking through town and he's the script says he's
listening to a pop song unfitting for a man and one of his friends is like bro you got to come
down to the ice facility you know we're going wild and he's like oh my dad's gonna make me
work at the pawn shop and then one of the pawn shop guys he's he's just it's just like he's just
switched from pre-med to chicano studies and they they say they go pre-med and now he's pre-unemployed
there's other indications it's a daily wire production an overweight liberal in a mobility
scooter quote bellows as only one with morbid obesity can what is that
yes and i think they really expect this character to stand out
because they they they say i think in the script they describe her as like a fan favorite or
something that they're like oh my god i'm gonna be like oh my god i'm gonna be like oh my god i'm
this is gonna be this is like michael knowles and matt walsh are gonna be cutting the the the
promos about this character oh this is so epic the morbidly obese person on the and the scooter
is actually like a hero or like a no uh a very minor character just sort of it i think it's
kind of like in a zombie apocalypse movie you have like one giant zombie okay this is when it
dips into like real sort of racial animus lore here because they have a korean grocery store
joining the pawn shop and they're like oh my god i'm gonna be like oh my god i'm gonna be like oh
my god i'm gonna be like oh my god i'm gonna be like oh my god i'm gonna be like oh my god i'm gonna
introduces the idea beloved by very online conservative conservatives of a rooftop korean
that will figure prominently in the film so i i sort of guess what a rooftop korean was
but it sort of harkens back to the rodney king era where like they would go to the roof with
like guns in tow and protect their stores at it yeah and these right-wing guys for the past like
10 years or so have loved this i mean they love whenever there's like you know kind of like a
minority that seems to share racial animus with them yeah and so in this case they're like oh my
they love talking about like rooftop koreans and so if i could just spoil it can i just spoil the
movie i think you can spoil the movie the big climactic moment it looks like our heroes are
about to get killed and then sorry who are the heroes the heroes here are the ice agents trying
to the ice agent and the the people inside the pawn shop who are being held hostage by the by
the ms-13 gangs and yeah liberal okay yeah and so at the end there's this fight with ms-13 and it
looks like uh they're gonna lose the pawn shop people are gonna lose and then the the grocery
store has been like mostly out of business and they're like oh my god i'm gonna be like oh my god
i'm gonna be out of the mix and then suddenly shots ring out from the grocery store and it's
the guys on the roof shooting the ms-13 and then one character says like i love a rooftop korean
oh my god okay so this is pretty big there's a lot here that i couldn't even fit in because
there's just i forgot like there's it's like of course the antifa is also racist and so the sun
goes outside and he's like i can reason with this antifa you know we we both uh we're both woke
and they say well well well if it isn't if it isn't nacho libre
oh god okay this is just pure bigoted nonsense which i guess you know is also run hide fight
right like that was just like anti-islam bigotry this is anti-hispanic bigotry um

18 plus terms and conditions apply what is the actual like market for this well you know i don't
know i mean we've seen that the the daily wire reaction to the sort of the fan base's reaction
to run hide fight infidels i think was pretty muted i think people thought you know they had
jonathan majors attached that this was going to be a better movie than it was i mean
he sort of famously disappears for an hour because i guess they couldn't foot his his
bill for a whole movie this one i will say danny trejo's in the cast here who's
that you know danny trejo he's kind of like a classic like grizzled hispanic character actor
oh yeah danny trejo yeah yeah i'm looking at him now i'm not sure if he's if he's the dad or if
he's like the security guy at the pawn shop or maybe he's an ms-13 i don't know it could be a
couple options oh danny what are you doing oh okay as far as we know he's the biggest star attached
um but but you know i i think the daily wire you know they they obviously they could keep making
more podcasts but but at the you know at some point they feel like they just have to make this
kind of push into hollywood but do they like what is the actual market value for this i don't they
must obviously the production costs are pretty significant putting out a movie is not cheap
even if it sucks um what are they getting for i i'm very very curious to know what the economics
are here yeah i mean i i don't know if this is something that's just been in the pipeline for a
while uh that you know they're kind of just just running this out obviously we've seen them scale
back their ambitions in other ways like i don't think they're going to be able to do that in
i think there's going to be a new season of the pendragon cycle the 20 30 million dollar king
arthur thing they did on the other hand though pendragon cycle has been the number one tv show
on amazon now that it's moved over there uh and so maybe there there's some licensing opportunities
yeah i'm wondering if we should get into this business and just do some sort of like false flag
uh movie type thing where you're the hero yeah you're the hero never trump working here's what
i would do is you go to like a turning point
usa event as just a reporter there and you get um abducted uh by the crowd and you know there's
like a bunch of never trumpers who like band together to save you and we will like work with
this but like there's got to be different plot lines and like matt schlapp's in the way and he's
trying to like you know seduce one of the never trumpers back in his hotel room or something you
know like we could do something like that where it's like all these characters are not real
match up a fictionalized version of matt schlapp
of course yeah and benny johnson's there and he's just like you know live streaming the whole thing
i feel like we could do that yeah but would we want to i i do think i mean because this is kind
of the daily wire model is like with these movies is they take something particularly this one is
obviously really ripped from the headlines uh and then they kind of you know slot in a couple
characters and uh you know in the news so you know i feel like we could do it why not us
no but seriously you know this is why they invented ai uh
we should have an ai bot just churn out a script a movie script where you're the hero uh and you
get abducted and we have to come to your rescue a motley crew of pro-democracy activists
yes sam there's something else i could point out so so we've got the people inside the pawn shop
and you know there's this standoff with antifa and one of the guys inside is this heroin addict
who was in there because he was trying to pawn some stuff he stole or no i'm sorry he was you
like a whole thing as well but basically he's like he's going into withdrawal he needs his
heroin and he he calls his drug dealer and the drug dealer's like i can't get through man like
there's an antifa siege oh wait i talked to someone in in antifa they said you just need to
unlock the door and then you can get that sweet sweet horse and and so the idea of antifa you
know kind of cutting this deal uh struck me so the antifa's dealing heroin to this guy well yeah
they're like you know yeah if you if you unlock the door we'll get you some heroin buddy and does
he unlock the door he does unfortunately he doesn't he doesn't unlock the door he doesn't unlock the door
unfortunately and heroin heroin is a powerful drug so yeah he he redeems himself at the end but
but he does die oh shit how does he redeem himself uh he he shows up at a opportune moment with a
shotgun and shoot some guys there's so much violence in these movies too it's everyone's
just getting shot and dying kind of sick twisted mind for these screenplay writers it's pretty
gross there's a lot of um kind of like you know check off shotgun going on in this movie there's
a you know there's a lovely young woman who's in there and she's like oh my god i'm gonna kill
They're pawning her ex-boyfriend's Rolex, and she obviously is the love interest for the woke son.
And at one point, someone's like, wow, this pawn shop sure has a lot of katanas.
And so it's like you can imagine at some point she's going to find a katana.
Oh, man.
Well, I'm not going to watch it.
Do we know when it's supposed to come out?
Yeah, of course you will.
But do we know when it's supposed to come out?
They just stopped filming last week, so I've got to assume it'll be at least six months.
Can you speak, last question, to Livingston, Montana?
Because obviously they're not happy about this.
Otherwise, they wouldn't have protested and sent someone, wouldn't have sent us the script.
But what is going on in Livingston?
Yeah, so there's a movie.
The reason it's there is there's sort of like a movie ranch near the town where they can do a lot of the filming.
And apparently the owner seems very supportive of it.
But then obviously some of it's downtown.
And I heard from some people there, they said, look, this is Montana.
It's not like the world.
But there were certainly some locals.
I think someone had a megaphone, people honking horns.
I mean, I don't think they had any big dreams of derailing the production.
But they were trying to sort of make it as obnoxious to film there as possible.
Right, but it's supposed to be Minneapolis, but they filmed it in Livingston.
Yes, exactly.
Okay.
Curious how they pulled that one off.
Well, I think they pulled it off because it's just like one building.
If you read the script, I mean, it all really takes place on like a half of a block.
But you know what, though?
How do they make it look like Minneapolis?
Yeah.
Because they say things like, you know, the kids on the bike.
And it's just like, take no notice of the crackhead pooping in the street.
So that's kind of their image of Minneapolis.
Been to Minneapolis.
That's not the image that I came away with.
All right.
Well, Will, thank you for doing this.
And for anyone out there who is in possession of another Daily Wire movie script or maybe a pitch that they put together for the next movie,
you know where to send it.
Send it to Will.
He is now fully on the Daily Wire movie beat.
He will review scripts, pitches, actual end products.
He's relentless.
And that's why we love him.

FAQs
The movie centers on an antifa siege of a pawn shop in Minneapolis amid anti-ice unrest. It features an ICE agent arresting a suspected MS-13 boss, a confrontational scene involving a woman driving a Subaru and fatally hitting an ICE agent, and a climactic showdown where a rooftop Korean is shown shooting an MS-13 death squad.
Local residents protested because the film was shot in Livingston, despite being set in Minneapolis. They felt the movie misrepresented the area and its culture, and some expressed discomfort with the controversial content and the filming activity.
No, the movie is fictional and heavily dramatized. It draws on real events and controversies involving ICE and antifa, but exaggerates and distorts details, such as the fatal shooting of Renee Good and the role of a 'rooftop Korean' in a conflict.
The script includes extreme violence, racial stereotypes, and false or exaggerated claims, such as a woman driving a Subaru that fatally hits an ICE agent, and a 'rooftop Korean' shooting MS-13 members, which critics say reflects anti-Hispanic bias.
The movie is produced by the Daily Wire, with Danny Trejo in the cast. It features a team known for creating content that amplifies right-wing narratives, though the film is not officially released or distributed yet.
The 'rooftop Korean' is a stereotypical trope rooted in past racial tensions, such as the Rodney King era. The character is used to evoke a narrative of racial animus and is favored by certain conservative audiences as a symbol of resistance against minorities.
