The Curse of Jealousy (corruption, twisted desire, & antidotes) - 092
167m 40s
The discussion centers on jealousy as a profound spiritual and psychological corrupting force. It is framed as the seed of witchcraft and the root of rebellion, corrupting the natural human need for comparison into a destructive "measuring stick." Jealousy is shown to erode healthy personal boundaries, turning good purposes into harmful ones, akin to a cell becoming cancerous. The conversation explores its origins, suggesting it can be ingrained through generational bloodlines and epigenetics, not merely learned socially. A distinction is drawn between internal jealousy—feeling discontent at others' success—and the external "evil eye," a manipulative energy. Personal anecdotes illustrate how jealousy can profitably yet damagingly fuel competitive drive in systems like capitalism. The summary concludes by emphasizing the necessity of recognizing and uprooting jealous motives through self-examination and realigning one's measurements with spiritual principles to avoid destructive outcomes.
The Bible says that rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, but you will never ever see rebellion. That does not have jealousy as the precursor. That means jealousy is the seed of witchcraft. There are certain parts of a person's behavior that is coming from the inheritance of their parents. Comparison is necessary because it's how we're built, but that scale can become really messed up. Because do you make a lot of money or do you not? You're not going to be able to answer that. You're going to have to compare to who you're spending time with. In Proverbs 274, anger is a flood, but who can withstand jealousy? He's literally the most powerful person in the known world. And he's saying, "I can deal with fury. I can deal with anger." But jealousy can't do it. Luke spread no outside influences that made him jealous. It just came because everything naturally decays into entropy when you're not lined up with heaven. Everyone wants to get to the high places, but if you want to go high, you first have to go deep in. Hey, what's up crew? Welcome back to the deep ends. Welcome back to my house. Thank you. It's good to have you here as always. Thank you. I hear we're getting a studio soon for the show. He is. I have no dog in that fight. Is that what they say? Right? I think that's appropriate. I've got no dog in that fight. But we're on the street as we might be. Although I'm going to miss being at home. Well, there is something special to the past two years. I think this is literally where I work. This is where I do most of my stuff. But it'll be awesome if we end up building it out and we become official as the kids say. Official. These, well, there's the, okay, this has nothing to do with this, but there's a TikTok channel of this girl who impersonates. Gen Z. Speak. Oh, no. Gen Z or Janalfa? I don't know. Genalfa is the one with the quote unquote brain right, like cooked. They're the ones that came up with like cooked. Okay. It's probably Genalfa then. Yeah. Probably that. And I have got my lingo fixed by this TikTok account because now I understand what they're saying makes no sense at all. But to them, it's like its own language. And so that's why that's why I try to be careful with phrases because it might sound good to me, but it doesn't make any sense to the people who are listening. We have a big Gen Z audience, don't we? Yeah. If I say the wrong things, you just have to tell us in the comments. Hey, man, you've dated yourself severely by what you just said. And I will repent and update my lingo where you guys, it'll be awesome. Well, you've said cooked before on the show. Cooked. Yeah. Or let them cook. Yeah. Yeah. All that stuff is good. You're updating. Bro, it's been, it's been, let's just give a quick update for where we're at. And then we'll go into this topic, which is actually really cool because it was one of our first topics we ever did. Which time? I think it was the last time we had a conversation about the love of the people who were watching us. And we were like, "Oh, I'm so excited." And we were like, "Oh, I'm so excited." And we were like, "Oh, I'm so excited." And we, the information I consumed two years ago is very different. I was coming out of, I was kinda coming out of New Age. I knew all the spiritual landscape and the spiritual principles, but I didn't really understand hierarchy the right way. I just was like, "God, and then there's a bunch of stuff underneath it." But these spiritual principles do different things. If you put a certain fluid in your vehicle, it's not just adding fluid. It's gotta be the right fluid in the right place to do a specific thing. And that's obvious. But when the enemy tries to pollute a person or rot a person with jealousy, it's essentially putting the right type of fluid in the right place at the right time to destroy that person's destiny. And so now I know where it comes from. It's not just a product of sociology. It is a product of, well, we'll get into it. It's a master, it's a masterpiece. When the enemy goes against certain individuals, he does his due diligence pretty well. He thinks through it. And it's not just random. He's hijacking certain pieces of our neurochemistry, our upbringing, and our epigenetics. Policy and epigenetics go together. More so than a lot of other negative, emotional states. You are sometimes programmed to be receptive for jealousy based on how your mother and father and grandfather and grandmother and great grandparents programmed their generational line. Okay. So I know last time you talked about evil, you talked about epigenetics and you shared your story about going to a chinesaeologist and finding out some really crazy stuff that honestly man that episode changed my life. Really? That changed the trajectory of, dude, I got so much healing because of that episode. Thank God. I was really grateful for that one. I learned a lot about myself. That was one of the most meaningful episodes we have ever done on the show. Still to this day. Every watched it multiple times. But I know you talked about our stories on there and that was why you talked about it. But what's gotten you to be like, hey, we need to recover this topic and add to it. Was there an experience that happened recently that made you want to recover this topic? Why do you feel like you want to hit it now? I started studying bloodlines. And I think, yeah, that made me see, okay, jealousy is a product of a person's bloodlines. It's not just being surrounded by people who you think are better than you or, but it is a bloodline issue. Was there something with your bloodlines? Tracks of person through. No, I don't think it was as much in, no, I have other things in my bloodline that are the same in terms of damages. But manipulation, for example, the compulsive desire to get ahead. But not because of, not because jealousy is this like a little construct in a person's mind that determines why they're trying to do something. Why are you trying to get ahead? Why are you trying to make money? Why are you trying to be called upon or why are you wanting to be on stage? Why do you want to YouTube channel? Why do you want to write a book? Why do you want to why why why why? jealousy is one of those things that can control the downstream lists of wise. I don't have as much of that. What I do have is, scarcity, which creates the need for control, not necessarily to compare myself to other people, but just to be dominant in whatever it is I'm doing because I don't want to go broke. Or I don't want to be embarrassed, I don't want to be humiliated. No, it's not necessarily my bloodline. When you looked back over the past couple of years, when you were in business, I mean more, when you were running a lot of businesses at once and things were just, you were grow, grow, grow, grow all the time. It was just nothing. Everything was always expanding, but you sit on the show before just because something, like a tumor grows, sometimes faster than something that's healthy. Is that when you looked back, did you identify, like, oh, I've had to undo this specific thing? Where was that coming up in your past? Yeah. Everyone who gets into a position where they realize their reasons were wrong and they have to undo stuff. Think about a human cell. It has its boundaries. It's got a cell in the human body is defined by its purpose. So the teleology of that cell, teleology is the purpose. The purpose of something is its teleological function. It's never doing something that's not its purpose. It's got its purpose. What is it for? It's boundaries around I exist inside of these boundaries and it doesn't invade past its boundaries until it becomes damaging. So when a cell says, you know, this is my purpose, but I no longer honor boundaries. The right purpose with no boundaries equals cancer. That's, you can't shut it down. Autoimmune disorders would be like the immune system turning on the host. So its immune system is the right purpose with no boundaries. So when you remove a person's boundaries, their purpose can become destructive. So with jealousy, just as a random example, we're all called to be used by God. We're all called to be great. The definition of great can be up for discussion. Most of us are called in some form of fashion to experience promotion because that is
It's very difficult to be used without promotion. And, and, guard your hearts on this, people are like, "I don't need promotion." Well, they know what they see you are, and you don't have any resources, and you have no influence, no power, so you can't be really used that well. You've got to have some level of power to do something. But then we have our boundary lines. And so, when our, when our purpose is good, but we start removing the edges of boundaries. We want to promote ourselves. We want to steal power, not inherit power. We want to pursue wealth at all costs. The boundary lines have been replaced. And this jealousy is a big piece of how this happens. Is it erodes like battery acid? It erodes the boundary lines of a person's healthy limitations. What did jealousy sound like for you back in, I don't know, I'm gonna say like, whenever you feel like it's a perfect between like 2014, 2020, because I feel like a lot of us will try to go from a place of like, "Man, I'm trying to do this for the right reasons." But then maybe something like that slips in, and maybe we're not willing to admit it. But we don't know what it sounds like to know to catch it. Like, oh, 'cause for me, I'll justify things all the time. But then somebody else could be like, "No, you're actually like, you could probably be like, "No, you're being, you have jealousy." And I'd be like, "No, I could justify it in a million different ways." But I know for you, when you started your businesses, it was like, you didn't want to be broke, you talked about intercovenants and stuff, but when did that start to shift into something really unhealthy like jealousy and what does that sound like to you in your head? The defining factor of jealousy is you can't find the shift. Oh, you can't tell. At what point does the cell stop obeying its boundaries and start eating everything else around it? Hmm, you don't like really know. It's just three years ago, I wasn't, and now I'm destructive, and I don't know when it. Happened, but the seed was there and the seed sort of, they're called, but jealousy, I think you have to define it, you have to split it into bifurcations, you have to split it into two categories. One is when my motives are operating from a motive of jealousy, and you can tell this because when you see someone else winning, you won't be happy for them. So you have a seed there. If you see somebody else come through, you will immediately discredit it or you'll feel bad about yourself for it or you'll be like, they're probably lying and all of this stupid stuff. Just to win ourself a steam and ourself efficacy is attached to always being the one that's moving forward and winning. We have a seed of jealousy that's going to, it's going to start growing. That's internal. The other side is what would be like the evil eye. This is Proverbs, think 23 is like, don't sit down to dinner with somebody who's stingy, who they're talking about the evil eye. Somebody who is jealous, don't hang out with that person. Don't spend time around that person because there's an energetic thing that comes from people who are jealous of you. This is probably where I made the more damaging mistake is because of the way that I communicated and because of the way that I presented myself. I sort of capitalized on the profitability of jealousy. Jealousy is very profitable. That's why it's in our system. Our obsessive, compulsive nature around KPIs and performance and setting records and being at the top and like the ink 100 and the ink 50 and like ink 1000 and all these stupid things where we're like, yeah, I'm better than I'm in the top 500 of businesses. I'm better than everyone else. So it's profitable to, jealousy is a profitable thing to have in a social system, a capitalistic system. And so I just was like, okay, that's how you do this. And then you create this environment where every time somebody engages with you, they're feeling less than. And now they're jealous, they're frustrated and all that energy comes at you. - And then you only, tell me if I'm right on this. The only way to cope with that is to make the next person feel less than you. So you have some sort of puzzle. If you're just just keep out running, perpetuating it. You keep out running it. That's so fun. - So fun, isn't it? (laughing) - Just for clarification, the verse you were talking about was, you want me to read the verse you were talking about? - Yeah, it was Proverbs 23, 6 through 7 is, New King James, do not eat the bread of one of his evil eye, nor desire his delicacies for as he thinks in his heart. So is he, then it was saying in Hebrew culture and evil eye was mystical. It was a stingy selfish manipulative person. Someone who appears generous, but resent giving, keep score internally and use it generosity for leverage. - Oh, dude, that's gross. And I've been guilty of it, let's be honest. - Well, everyone has, and the people who are listening to this who are like, I've never used generosity to keep score and use this leverage. Well, you do with God. So you might not do it with other people, but you're doing with God. And the last person who was jealous with God was Lucifer, and that didn't work out well for him. So I would be careful. (laughing) The be careful people were like, I'm gonna skip this episode. I don't wrestle with jealousy. You're the person that wrestles the most with jealousy. Because your nervous system already is kind of like, I don't need to pay attention to this yet, 'cause you don't want to pay attention to it. So we're gonna see like how many times in scripture a person fell and you can track it back to the seed of jealousy. Miss started it, a seed of jealousy. - Have you, I'm sure you've had to find the answer to this question. - You're bound to be like the root thing that we're trying to cover up with being jealous of other people. We're gonna talk about that. - Okay. - Yeah, we're gonna open loop. - Well, that's what the episode is for. - Exactly, exactly. - That's great. - I'm excited. - In fact, we should go ahead and define jealousy up at the very beginning, which is like, comparison gone wrong, rogue comparison. Comparison is happening without the jurisdiction of heaven without a healthy meter. Like, think about what would happen if we didn't have the ability to measure distance. - Yeah. - How would we build anything? - Right. - So it's very important for like a construction company to have like healthy agreed upon metrics for a thousand feet. Can't just randomly be 1200 feet 'cause you had a bad day. Like, it's gotta be the same. So jealousy is when our measurement capacity becomes corrupted. And we're not using the ruler system of the spirit. We're now using a compromised counterfeit ruler system. So Eve was the first, the Eve could be put into this category because the thing that caused her to fall is she saw, I have X, but I could have Y. And the comparison had a bad measuring stick. And then what does she do? Gave it to her kids. Cain wasn't jealous of Abel's sheep or fruit or he wasn't, he didn't care about any of that. He was jealous of the response that Abel had. That's what the Bible says. He was jealous of how God responded to Abel versus him. So it was a measuring stick. And the way he handled that was to act out of jealousy, which this is the first time in the Bible, the word sin is recorded. Sin wasn't recorded in Eve's story. It was recorded in Cain's story. Hmm. You got, you writing stuff down, I couldn't tell what you were doing. No, I think it was fascinating. I just, something crossed my mind is it sounds like you're having to redefine theodore Roosevelt's quote of comparison as the thief of joy. Yep. 'Cause it's a, it is true at a meta level, but at a micro, it's not true. Well, there's maybe, actually I'd be curious what's your thoughts. There's different forms of comparison. I think like, I think some comparison is, is okay. I think it's, is, how would you know if it was hot or cold? You have to be able to compare it to something. You have to, you have to compare it. How do you compare something's big or small? You have to compare it to something. Yeah, you're gonna realize this man with, with kids when they're like is, is a car big? I don't know. Compared to what? Yeah, we have to, we have to compare because we have no pattern recognition without comparison. So when, when God is showing up in Isaiah and he's, he's taunting, I think this might be Isaiah 40, but you have to look it up. And he's like, who, who will you compare me to? To whom will you compare me? It's because they don't, the humans that he's talking to, don't have the requisite measurement capacity to compare God to any of the other gods. Mm. As soon as he's going, should we consult the idol that, that will melt? Should we consult this wooden statue that falls over every time you have to talk? Let's have them defend themselves. Let's have them make their case to whom will you compare me to? Because the, the Hebrews are kind of like substituting God out for different things. And most of the tools that you see even a bit bail and ask to Roth and these people using the Israelites see other people prospering. And they're like, well, let's go, we'll use their gods to get that thing. Again, bad measuring stick comparison comparison the wrong way. Mm. And then out of jealousy is the seed of, of everything else. You'll, you know, the Bible says that rebellion is the, is as the sin of witchcraft, but you will never, ever see.
rebellion that does not have jealousy as the precursor. So if rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, that means jealousy is the seed of witchcraft. You keep going deeper because I've never considered that. Yeah, let's go through. Let's talk about cane. What did cane do? Which part besides killing Abel? Okay, murder. Yeah, he murdered. He murdered Abel, right? Yep. What about A-hab and Jezebel? What do they do? Yeah, a lot of things. They try to kill Elijah. Didn't, well, Jezebel needlessly killed somebody on a garden because she wanted to get it for A-hab. Okay, so A-hab was jealous of the vineyard. The person's vineyard? Try to get it yourself. There it is again. If you look at the betrayal of Jesus and the murder of Jesus, you see jealousy show up in the same capacity because the people, the Pharisees had the power dynamics and they were being destabilized. And so jealousy is at the root of that as well. So jealousy shows up. It's the the full-crumb and the lever. The lever might be rebellion, but the full-crumb is jealousy. I don't have this. I could get this. And I'm surrounded by a world where other people have it and I like it. I desire it. The very nature of how sin works is jealousy. God says to cane, sin is crouching at your door and it much desires to have you. This is jealous of humans. Jealous of the allegiance that people have to God sin once that. So scripture even personifies sin in an interesting twist of events where sin has almost like a, I would like to have this, I would like to have this person. Lucifer who fell, he was jealous of the delegated authority that God was going to give to man. Jealousies at the beginning of that show me and show me rebellion in the Bible that doesn't have jealousy attached to it. Again, this is why I say people are like, why don't really struggle with jealousy? Do you sin? Then you do. That's it. Sorry, just a clear
ifying question. When you said Satan was jealous of the authority that man was getting. Is that in the Bible or was that just from the episode that we did with Micah? I literally can't remember. It's in the Bible. It's in Isaiah. Okay, I don't need the exact verse. I was just curious. I just forgot. Isaiah 14, I will ascend and I will make myself like the most high. So it's jealous of the positioning factor and the yeah, but I think it's still, I think it still ties into man. That is, I've never considered that. I've never considered that jealousy is the root of all of those things. Okay, I will stop asking questions and let you dive into some stuff so we can go deep. Cool. Let's do it. Jealousy is at the very beginning of time you see it show up as a perversion mechanism before humans even get here. So I think I'm wanting to define jealousy as a perversion of healthy desire. It's a perversion of healthy desire, which all things that we desire is a pretty is not an unhealthy state. We might go into some of the levels of energy from a polite kinesiology, but desire is it fits into the grid not as necessarily unhealthy, but it's not very powerful either. Desire is not a very powerful state. Contrast desire with the energy of acceptance and you acceptance beat desire 10 times out of 10. And acceptance is when you're just like, I'm accepting good things and what God wants to bless me with. Desire is I desire to have good things and I desire God's blessing. It's not that it's bad. It's just not the most healthy, powerful state. But jealousy takes desire and slays it down to our selfish ambitions. And it makes desire very weak, very reactive and kind of an unstable. So jealous person is very unstable. They're like a nuclear reactor. They don't have any, they don't have any, usually they don't have anybody around them who sticks around long enough to help stabilize them because who wants to hang out with the jealous person? No one. So they just repel long term consistency. I think you ought to be very careful when you can't hold friends longer than six months or a year. Like there's something wrong with you. And that doesn't mean that you're broken beyond repair. It means you have to look at the comment denominator, which is you. And I've lived in this scenario before. I've I've experienced this before because there was a season of my life when everything that happened that was good for someone else. I was like that should I should do that. And you can tell because sometimes when you tell somebody good news, you can see that they're not really celebratory. You can see that they're not really that excited for you. Like, oh man, that's awesome. Praise the Lord. Their eyes are kind of like not celebrating. The ones are coming out smiling with their mouth and not their eyes. It's kind of like yeah, that's a that's that we don't. We're repelled from those people. We don't want to be around those people. So then that turns into the only way you can keep relationships is to manipulate them because they don't want to be around you. They don't want anything to do with you, but you have to have something that they need to stick around. And it's a tool. It's a tool, the enemy, but it's also a tool that humans have borrowed from the enemy to be able to create predictability where there is no stability stability and predictability are not the same thing. Dude, I'm so convicted right now. I'm not thankful. I'm not thinking of anything right now, but I probably will need to soon. But now I'm just thinking of things in years past. This whole thing of a jealous person. Does it just look like the thing of like you say something and don't celebrate like at this point? I'm very curious because I've had issues transactionalizing my friendships in the past. I've been able to work through a lot of that. I'm grateful for that, but that doesn't mean there's not still a weakness there in vulnerability. So I'd be curious on whether it's examples that you're thinking of from yourself or like more characteristics or both that'd be really helpful. I don't think it's ever something that you fully just get away because we're sort of the problem is we're humans. So we have to be in nature and we have a flesh, but it reminds me of how I've had to deal with self-reliance. At the beginning of my journey, I thought that I could just repent for self-reliance and be done with it, but that's not how it works. That way. No, you wake up the next morning. You repent for self-reliance. Again, it's sort of just like this renewal. This is why I think the Apostle Paul was not like, "Get your mind renewed and be done with it." He was like renewing your mind present, ongoing, future tense, all of the time. And so inside of a person's physiology and nervous system, we can have weaknesses that make it easier for us to feel jealousy. And we can close those up. It's pretty easy to close them up. We'll talk about that today. We can sort of get it out of our spiritual environment. We can get it out of our neurochemistry to an extent. But then something's going to happen because like a football coach, if you have a play that works seven times out of ten, that's pretty good. And so you're going to keep running that play. And the jealousy is a great play. It's a great play to run on people, chosen people specifically. And you might be able to deal with it for a year, but somewhere in this and the spiritual world, something's going to come and try to get you trapped into it again because it's a good play. And it can revoke your license. It can revoke in some regards. It can block the hand of God that wants to move on you because now you're jealous. And he can't trust you now with power because you'll just steal stuff from other people. And so it's not the conviction of the Holy Spirit is good, but never the shame of the Holy Spirit. We want to just be like, okay, yeah, this is in me. My dirty, clean it out, reset. I'm going to show I'm going to show it to take us through how to do that because it shows up in three main places. And we need to clean them up in the three main areas. But then you might have to do it again. Great. Next week or next month. And it is built into society. We have literally built our culture on the energetic warping of jealousy. We can't really get away from it. In fact, I was reading this quote by Fulton Sheen, he said, "Gelicy is the tribute mediocrity pays to genius." In some regards, if you're going to sit in the side where you're underlevered, you're not utilizing what you've been given, you're underneath your potential and you know it, you're going to struggle with jealousy internally. If you break through the noise,
and you start becoming a leader and building, then you're gonna deal with jealousy from the people who are stuck in mediocrity in their jealous of you. You're gonna feel it on both sides. Right, it's a game of inoculation, not really a game of like, let's remove this from the fabric of society. It's not really going to work. - What are some of the most common teachings that you're seeing, whether it's business world, self-help world, quantum world, church world, what are some of the most common teachings that you're like, I reject that 'cause it's literally creating jealousy as a root problem if it's everywhere. Good question. 'Cause the only place that I, well, the primary place I probably would have gotten if I was a kid is, let's be honest, the church, that was a group in the Christian private school, a group in churches and all sorts of stuff. Like, that was my primary community, so. Well, that's a place that's not a saying or a teaching. I think that sports has it, business environment, culture has it, like the scoreboard, the scoreboard is constantly reminding us of whether, like, I lost the game, so I'm a bad human. I won the game, so I'm better than every other human. Like, we have an obsessive, cracking system in our head of whether we're high status, low status, successful, unsuccessful, rich, poor. All of these are like these weird dichotomy binaries. Celebration. Yeah, like, how difficult is it to celebrate? How difficult is it for someone to celebrate when they have a really bad month financially? But they made God really happy because they were obedient with something and they gave all their money away. That's difficult to celebrate. It's not socially acceptable. No. And so that's what we have to sort of wrestle with is we only celebrate when we beat someone else. So there's a zero sum game. And then if we don't lose, what are we, we're not jealous because we desire something that someone else has. And it's just, it's a convoluted twisted mess. The reason that is because like, sociologically, we don't evaluate good or bad very well. We're very, very unskilled in evaluating good or bad. And this isn't an intellectual issue. This is not a cognitive issue. This is a, actually, this is an autonomy issue. Autonomy? Autonomy. But God gives us free will and free reign. We sort of slip into our own every man for himself. Like this again, we have to go back to Eve. Eve's issue was she determined that something God said was evil was good. And something that God said was good was insufficient. And so her comparison was wrong. She didn't determine what was good or bad the right way. And that just trickles all throughout history. We don't, humans evaluate themselves positionally, not, not absolutely. We don't position whether we're good or bad in absolute terms. We have relativity in it. And that's why comparison is necessary because it's how we're built. But that scale can become really messed up because if do you make a lot of money or do you not? Well, that you're not going to be able to answer that. You're going to have to compare to who you're spending time around. Correct. And if you spend time with people who make a lot more money than you are, because we have mirror neurons, hyperimutation, mimetics will usually start making more money, which is a good thing. That's great. But we, but it's uncomfortable. So typically what a human will do is we'll actually find a bunch of people who make way less than we do so we can feel better, about ourselves. And then what's now we've locked into a new spiritual principle, walk with the wise, become wise, walk with the foolish, become foolish. Now we're spending time around a bunch of fools because we feel smarter and then we're becoming fools in the process. So our relativity is killing us because we don't know how to judge whether something is good or bad. And the only way you can judge whether something is good or bad is what does God say about it? There's no other way to do it. That's why the scripture says, there is a way this seems right to man, but in the end, at least to death, you're screwed. You're not going to be able to determine good or bad unless you have like a clock on this. What the Holy Spirit says is good. This is what He says is bad. So they validated this by really, really big long term studies. There was the example, I think we shared this on episode two about the Wall Street Journal and they were polling people. Do you remember this about income? Actually don't. Okay, so if I can find it down in the transcript, they said they took half of the group and they said, would you rather earn $200,000 a year and everyone in your neighborhood earned $100,000? Or would you rather earn $300,000 a year and everyone in your neighborhood earned $500,000? And a significant majority of the people chose the lower income, but that was better than their neighborhood. That's insane. That's crazy. So we actually, we don't really even care whether it's good or bad. We just care about, are we ahead? Are we ahead of everyone else? If we're behind other people, but we are in absolutist terms, we're doing better. Nope, we don't want that, we reject that. We would rather do worse, but it's better than everyone around this. Through the Zor culture is like programs backwards the wrong way. And it's not the reason they chose this is not just because it's a psychological inconvenience. It's not like somebody's like, well yeah, this makes me feel mentally unstable and I'm behind it. It's physiological, it's in your body. You feel like you're dying, it's spiritual. It is people who are trapped in this long term, especially if it's in your nervous system. You're going to like actually feel this panic when you feel behind. And so I remember telling this story one of my friends bought a plane a couple of years ago. And I was coming off the top of the blow off top of giving my stuff away. And so I actually had a plane under contract in 2021 and it was epic dude. - Was this before I started working for you or after? - This was when you were like flying around the country with us at the time. You remember that plane we took to San Diego? It was a little bit smaller than that one. - Oh, I do remember this conversation a little bit. So I had an under contract about to send the money in. Like we were going to rock and roll. But then I was just for some reason I was just like, I could do this later, you know? I'll do this later. I don't know why. I think in hindsight it was probably God, but at the time I didn't recognize God as a leadership figure in my life. So it's kind of like whatever. So I didn't do it. And then two years later, one of my buddies bought the plane that I was going to have, but it was like, it's a little bit different model. And I remember feeling like something was wrong with me. And I was happy for this person, but I was just kind of like, walk in, walk in. This is so ridiculous. People watching this video are probably like, hey, they probably-- - First-world problems. - They hate me right now, but this is where it shows up sometimes and it's like, what do you do with this? Like, I suck. I suck because somebody else that I like got something that I can't have. And that's the comparison rating system that God messed up. And so you have two options. You can either like, drive and grind to catch up. Or you can wallow and self-pity and surround yourself by losers to make yourself feel better. Both of those options are wrong. So our two options that we have, that the brain loves to go binary, they're both wrong. And the right answer is just literally in the middle and it's super subjective based on what God is telling you right now. I don't remember what we were talking about, but-- - Well, we were, we were, what came back to my mind was we were talking about Proverbs. And what you're talking about the wise, walk with the wise, walk the wise that walks with the wise will become wise and like wise with fools and how that plays into it. But what keeps coming back to my head is what we talked about with Jamie last week, which is the literal versus the spirit of you-- I feel like this what this show keeps coming back to is like, if you just try to take everything so literally, you'll be able to justify any behavior in your life and you'll say that it's possible for your life. But it sounds like the thing that you're coming back to is, like it's not that the proverb is wrong. It's not, it's not, you're not saying to not hang with the wise or that you should hang with fools. It's not saying that you should do one or the other. It's about what is the, well, most of you probably have people hang out with the wise, but you don't want people, you don't want the motive underneath, which is what seems to be what you're pointing at the most, which is the motive of jealousy, which I don't often find myself asking that question enough that I'm doing this, but why, why, why, why, and going deep on it? Yeah, well, why is a question of meaning? What does something mean? All the only reason why exists is to point to a meaning. And that's a cognitive function. So if somebody is doing better than you, what does it mean? Well, it might mean nothing. It might legitimately mean they're older than you. Or it might mean you're lazy and you suck.
Or it might mean that you went through a really tough season and they didn't or You see how many like there's like a thousand different things that it could mean and That's why you know they they just the brain so complex. They just 3d images like a side a piece of the brain. It's the size of a piece of rice It took them 10 years want to do it and they're freaking out like they at least scientists are like We thought we understood it, but we don't we don't know anything Their next thing is they're gonna do the same size of the brain on a rat and They're projecting that it'll take them five years to do it with AI to 3d image it. Let me just read this I This is the reason is that we're going into this is because there's no way that we can We don't know what's in our we don't know what this is We don't freaking know and people are like oh, yeah, it's like a bunch of a eyes. No, it's not so one cubic millimeter One millionth of a human brain Harvard and Google spent 10 years mapping at the imaging alone took 326 days They sliced the tissue into 5,000 wafers each 30 nanometers thick Ran them through a six million dollar electron microscope then needed Google's models to stitch the 3d construction back together Because there's no human team on earth that could process the output 57,000 cells 150 million synapses 230 millimeters of blood vessels compressed into 1.4 petabytes of raw data Peta context 1.4 petabytes is roughly 1.4 million gigabytes From a spec smaller than a grain of rice If we scale that the full human brain is 1 million times larger Mapping the whole thing at this resolution would produce approximately 1.4 zedabytes of data Which is roughly equal to all of the data generated on the whole earth in a single year The storage alone just from the human brain would cost an estimated 50 billion dollars and require 140 acre data center just to store Oh They found things that textbooks can't contain one neuron one neuron had over 5,000 connection points Some axons had coiled themselves into tight walls for completely unknown reasons pairs of cell clusters grew in mirror images of each other And Jeff liked men the Harvard lead said there is a chasm between what we already know and what we need to know So they're like what in the world? So we remember when David was like I am fearfully and wonderfully made Think about this when's the last time you've had a really good stake and you're like That was a fearful stake. I'm terrified of how good that was Now we miss it. We're like he's just David's just talking about how cool the brain and body no he was freaked out He saw some revelation of the human mind and body in the spirit and it terrified him You've never been to this resort and it was such a good experience that you're scared to go back It was fearful. That's how good it was. So we we have to catch the revelation of like We will we have no idea what God put in us And the closer we get to understanding it These scientists are like that's terrifying Oh, but it happened by accident. We didn't know that yeah, we just lucked out Whatever from soup to fish to monkeys to oh, I'm terrified about how cool this is And I think I think if you look at um jealousy Jealousy doesn't replace what's there? It twists what's there? So you take the power of The human mind and all of the data You know that would where that would cost you 50 billion dollars just to store the data in one brain And jealousy goes through and it corrupts all of it It twists it. This is why I brought the the people in the Bible the teacher was not afraid of He was afraid of jealousy more than anything else He wasn't afraid of being murdered. He wasn't afraid of the sin of witchcraft The proverbs 14 a tranquil heart is life to the body, but jealousy is rottenness to the bones proverbs 27 for Furious cruel and anger is a flood, but who can withstand a jealousy? They didn't want anything to do with it So he's literally the most powerful person in the known world and he's saying I can deal with fury I can deal with anger think about the damaging things that can come from anger You have another king send a bunch of soldiers trying to take her land that's anger. Okay, what's just a but jealousy Can't do it can't deal with it. Who can stand who can withstand jealousy? Because it actually corrupts and then hides as it corrupts Is the ultimate sleeper cell for the human motive It's nasty. It's awful and it will make you sick and it will pollute your body and it will then pollute your kids And it because it hides it'll stick around generationally and it'll pollute your grandkids and Well, that's what he's these guys are getting a revelation of something the gospel like This was the foundation of the first rebellion in the cosmos Lucifer This was the foundation of the second rebellion in the cosmos Adam and Eve This is what is warped all of the nations of the earth. This is the thing. This is the thing. It's jealousy We don't read furious cruel and anger as a flood, but who can withstand adultery? No, obviously David was stood it Does that mean we should do it? No, but no one Would argue with the fact That the adultery came because of jealousy Jealousy is the thing that flips the switch on and makes us pursue sin and abandon holiness Hmm So we have to we have to root it out At some point during this episode are we going to come back to what is healthy desire look like? Yeah, we can't it doesn't have to be now, but sometime in the future we can't do We do anything you want. Thanks. You're in charge. Oh, I know just kidding In the jealousy these things I saw sometimes sometimes people will try to delineate between jealousy and envy. I don't um You can do that if you don't have enough things to do, but I think that they're categorically the same They come from the same I think they came from the they come from the same root system rogue comparison Um rogue comparison rogue comparison and corrupted desire rogue comparison and corrupted desire These two things is what you put together you get envy and jealousy, but you see The reason that it hides is it will always pretend to be justice. It will be it will pretend to be right It will pretend to be necessary Like we're talking about with comparison. It will pretend to be prudent It will pretend to be all of these things so you can't see it So when she's like by by their fruit you will know them jealousy sort of tries to undo that principle It locks your eyes up you can't actually judge the fruit anymore because it's hidden And so we have a lot of a lot of business owners a lot of pastors a lot of people with with leadership In politics and private sector public sector who you would look at their life and you're like that person's got it together But everything they've accomplished is because of rogue comparison and perverted polluted desire So is it actually healthy? No, but the fruit looks like it's healthy No other ingredient corrupts this assessment Okay, I just I have to I think we should open a can of worms. It's not that it's controversial But I think it's it's highly important. Can I give just a little bit of context just your fun? Yeah So have you watched the show the night agent on Netflix? Um, no. Oh my gosh. Is it good? It's really good. It's really good. I won't give over you finish red rising Um, no, I just I was listening to it this morning though. I will watch the night agent when you finish red rising It's taking you like to the problem is my wife is not gonna read red rising with me So I listen to read red rising when I'm on my way to the gym or when I'm at the gym I love these which I didn't used to do I used to only do it exclusively when I was more in the long But then the winter came and I haven't moved my long for four months So non-listening red rising anyways. Okay, the night agent. Okay. It's all about this guy that's working in an undercover mission inside of the the government under It's a presidential only operation and so no one knows about it But he's exposing people and then he starts to realize oh shoot the government's corrupt and how these people got in the power And the more that I see it all I was Heather could literally see I was my brain was unraveling Because I'm seeing the president give the narrative to the you the American people and they think it's one thing And they're creating false narratives But then on the other side the the other guy is working with a journalist to expose the corruption So they can reshape the narrative In my brain is not vanilla reconcile this idea of like how do we reconcile what is true and what is not true Because even in the area of jealousy If we can get our truth from the Lord then it's becomes way easier to deal with things but it's like Thing that keeps crossing through my head is what do you do with trying to find the truth? Because a lot of us will just take things to face value be like yeah sure That's the way it is and then we get humbled real bad when we find out the real truth about something you know so It's kind of a convoluted way of asking How how do you get God's perspective on truth and what is truth and what you can accept versus what you need to discuss
- I love Jamie's question where he routinely asks, what do you want me to know about this? - We ask about that. - Uh huh. - But I'll usually, we'll spend time asking about what something means. Because something can be, you open this can of worms and I don't have notes on this, so I'm just gonna go off into the deep end with you. But something can be factual and untrue. And something can be unfactual and true. - Yes. - And that's because we have worse stuck in time and time sucks. We can't see the end from the beginning. So I don't have another way to do this except for asking about what does something mean. And if he tells me that it means something different than what I think it means, I have a choice to make. I can either make the choice of accepting God's meeting for something. We talked about this a little bit on, on a sacred timeline, so we were asking, what is a label? And a label is just something on the outside that tells you what's on the inside. We depend on labels to know what we're buying. So I don't think anyone watching this has gone to the store, carry the chemistry kit with them and tested a thing of milk before buying the milk. I don't think that anyone's, do we know that it's milk? Are we sure they could have just put water in there? Like, no, you just, you trust the label. What does the label say? Unless it says organic, then it might not be organic. We don't know, but that's why it's so regulated. It's because think about how destructive it would be if the label says milk and the thing inside the mocus poisonous. It's, we're regulating industries because it could kill a bunch of people. So the labels half, like you get in a lot of trouble if you're mislabeling things. So we take that very seriously in the physical world, but then what about the intangible realm of the soul with meaning? I was rejected. What label tells me what actually happened inside of this experience? And we have the label of unworthy on the outside. And that's not what God sees on the inside. What God sees and what God labels it is actually, maybe it's protection. Well, what are the differences between a label saying protection versus unworthy? - Changes the way that you feel about the situation. - It changes everything. Like how many of people watching this have had an experience that they really wanted to have happened. They were not selected or they rejected. And they realized the years later that they would have been totally screwed if they would have gotten the, the wife, the job, the promotion, whatever. So we see it in hindsight and we mislabel in the present tense because we can't see the future. We have to go, God, what does this mean? What's your label for this? Because what I think it means is that I'm not good enough, I'm gonna have to go grind to fix it and God's like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. This is the label, protection. This is the label, training. This is the label, promotion. So same thing, we use this all the time. Joseph, how would he label the prison season? How would he label it? - In hindsight. - No, we don't have hindsight. - In the moment, you want me to, you, - Yeah, just one. - I would assume that he would see it as like, maybe not punishment, like he knew it wasn't punishment. He must have been sitting with it for a bit 'cause he was like, I didn't do anything wrong. I think that we could only assume what he thought about based on the way that he acted when he got out of prison 'cause it doesn't look like he was necessarily residentful towards Pharaoh from what I can tell. Maybe it's not about Pharaoh, it's not about Pharaoh, it's about, but it's about him, the labels about him. It does affect how you, you God, but I just don't, we don't, we gotta read the freaking Bible. If you, let me ask you this, if someone lied about you and you pleaded your case from a place of truth and you lost your case and went to jail, how would you label that situation? - Face value, probably unfair, unjust. Dude, don't be over saved right now, man. - Really? - You would be, is that not how? - I'll tell you how I would label it. - What do you say? - Freaking joke. - Sure. - I was betrayed. God didn't do anything about it. God said he would help me and he didn't. I'm over, my life is over. I'll probably never get out of this thing. That's how you would label it. That's how I would label it. - For a moment. - I don't know what you're watching this would label. - I thought you meant like the meta, how would you describe it at a meta level? - Yeah. - No, you would label it not meta. You wouldn't be using meta cognition or prison. - No, no. - You'd be like, I could die in here. - Yep. - And I didn't even do anything wrong. - Oh yeah. - But then God's label on this situation was, like transportation and promotion. That's what he had to get closer. And then it had to have a place where he could be pumped right up to the top. - So do you feel like toxic positivity is a way of dealing with this and getting around having to ask God for his real opinion? - I hate toxic positivity. I think toxic positivity has ruined more Christians than sin. I hate it. I think it's dumb. - Do you feel like it's a way around having to ask God for his real thoughts on what something is? - And then mislabeling it. - I think it's a way for people to hide what's really inside of them and they just bury everything down into the bottom and then it's still there, but it's now corrupting your organs. And you're like, well, at least I'm talking positively about it. So why the teacher is like, don't sing a loud song to your brother who is mourning? Don't do that. Don't do that. I think we have to have the ability to just go, here's how I, here's how I'm feeling about this situation. But like David, we do have a responsibility to make sure we land in the right place. We don't leave it there. So David is like, why are you letting them say this? Are you even God? - Mm. - Are you gonna let them kill me? Why would you do that? But, here he is. Now he's like, he's got to discipline his thoughts now. But I know that the Lord is a protector. He's disciplining his thinking so he doesn't stay stuck in that position. Ultimately, whatever we go through, the term ends and reveals our relationship with God, how we see God. And you usually see this when you are in an existential crisis threatening situation. You can see the same thing in the Bible with all of these people. What did it mean when Gideon was surrounded by enemies? What did it mean to him? What was the meaning? God is not here, he's abandoned us. That's why he's like, if the Lord is with us, why is da da da da da da happened? What did it mean in number 17 and number 20 when the people and the wilderness, the Hebrew, the Israelite people, they couldn't find water? What did it mean? God doesn't care anymore. God wants to kill us. That's literally what they said. Why is God trying to kill us? That's a bad meaning. It's not good. I wouldn't worry about, I wouldn't do that. What did it mean when David was surrounded by enemies? The Lord is my shepherd. He was the only one who was able to like, get the meaning worked out. And so the reason that he was the man after God's own heart was not because he never sinned and it's not because he was confident in his calling and it wasn't because he had good skills and talents and he was gifted in knowing to me. It wasn't any of those things. So the reason that David was a man after God's own heart was he had enough proximity to God to just borrow God's meanings. Here's what God says, hey, you're surrounded by enemies. It means I'm your shepherd and I'm gonna build a table for you. And we're not gonna, we don't need those enemies to go away. They can sit there and watch us eat. That's what it means, bro. So we crushed it. We crushed it because, but not because he was smarter. 'Cause he was like, what does this mean? And God told him and he was like, yeah, you're right. That's what it means. Let's go with that. (laughing) That was better. So that's a great question, but it's the question of the centuries, the question of the millennia. It's like, we don't have any way of knowing what something means because we're so stuck in it and we're not gonna be able to figure it out. We have to tell God. Here's what I think it means. What do you think it means? Okay, you don't think it means what I mean, it's got it. Okay, I'm gonna accept what you think it means. Which is harder. It's easier to talk about than it is to do. Mm. Jealousy is when you start getting it to like, what does this mean? It means that they have what they have because they took it and you have to take it. They have what they have because they made this deal and you start taking in all of the data that our brain takes into is that it wouldn't, that would require 150 acre data center. We're assuming all of this information and you have jealousy on the very front end of that, like a filter saying, yep, that's what this means. That's what this means. That's what this means across all of this information. And then it pretends that it's good. That's what we call modeling, right? Yeah, that would be, well, that's what we would call filtering. And modeling is when we're copying what other people are doing. It just sounded what you were saying was this person did this way, therefore I should also do it that way too. Yeah, but that's on the back ends. The only way we would get there is if we're filtering it through jealousy. 'Cause what it would sound like if you have it, if you have a healthy proximity to God is, this person has that thing and then your filter is like, what am I called to do in this season?
You don't even get to the modeling. It doesn't even get there. Yep. Well, just to hit this real fast, Dr. Robert Becker and Jack Cruz have, they have a really good insight. Not all of their stuff is, not all of it is, is to be studied, but they have this model of the body. The body is electrical and chemical, and we really study the body from a chemical standpoint in the west. We kind of know, like, if you put this into your body, if you drink battery, the acid is not going to be good. But part of the reason is not going to be good is because it's electrical reasons, not chemical reasons. And when you take into account what they have put together about, there's a book called, "The Body Electric," which is Robert Becker. And a lot of Jack Cruz's material, they talk about the bioelectric currents through the body. So the meridians passing currents through all of this is electrical. So they've done studies even on people who live around power transformers. Their life expectancy is not the same. We have the Tennessee Titans downtown, but their training facility is right next to a big power transformer station. Wonderful. And none of our athletes can go a full season without getting hurt. And then you go to other teams and they don't get hurt. 100%. That's why Jack Cruz left Nashville. He leaves the living room. He left. He's like our power grids messed up and everyone's going to say, "Wow." And it's like, we don't want to put this together because it's too expensive to fix the grid and like, all those stuff. And it's not a conspiracy. It's not like, it's not, it just is elected. It's just talking about chemistry and electricity. It's electricity. It hits the body in specific ways. Geolacy is, it would be almost the equivalent what the body would do. If you drink battery acid, it would have the same effect on the human psyche if you allow jealousy. It would just shut everything down. And you have immune system suppression that happens because the body is actually controlled largely by the mind. And so our psychology is a software up here in the mind. And so when we're allowing jealousy and that's our motivation, everything, like we'll have cortisol elevation, chronic stress, people, infection risk goes up. The wound heals, wounds heal slower, higher allergic reactions. Like it's, it just tanks your body. You have, because it's electric, you have a blockage of natural energetic flow. So a state of jealousy. This is part of what Hawkins was trying to get into with levels of energy. It actually brutally goes in and corrupts your meridian pathways. As the Eastern medicine people would say, like your meridians are the flow of, they would call it, it chakras, something or, or a chi energy. So this is just energy through the body. It's not, it's not an image thing. It's just energy flow through the body. But if somebody's in a, in a jealous state through a Plei-Kinesiology, we can track them and their vagal tone goes down. And their circulation gets worse. And they have gut issues, all of the sudden. And they have circulatory dysregulation. Just from thinking jealous thoughts, and we can test them. Oh. We can test, think, think about, think about how wonderful it is for God to provide for you. And you just have to accept his viewpoint of you. And then they'll track the body. You don't have to use God. You can think, think of how good it is to accept love from your friends. It's acceptance. Think about how other people have what you want. And you haven't been able to find a way, and the body shuts down instantly. So we know all of this stuff. It's already there. Some of it's being suppressed. And then it contorts your calling. We're called to be creative. We are creative beings. We have creative capacity. Everyone is creative. Creative is not a spectrum of like, I'm more creative than you are. It's a practice. We're all creative. We're designed by God to be creative, because you can't multiply something without creativity. You just can't do it. And so imagine the damage if that creativity, the enemy doesn't want to steal your creativity. He wants to misdirect it. We've talked about this on the show before. He just wants it twisted in that direction. God wants your creativity going to the left. But if you can get jealousy in as a fulcrum, your creativity is not being sent to where God wants it. It's not being misdirected into getting yourself ahead. Or taking something. Or whatever, whatever it is. And then you're disrupted. And we can see this in scripture too. I think one of the coolest parts about it is like modern science. We can find it in in scripture. So when Proverbs 17, 22 is saying, "The cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones." We now, we can tell that a state of lack and a state of need and a state of jealousy, mostly these three states, actually dysregulate circulation. They mess with protein synthesis. They mess with calcium, regeneration in the bones. It's like a crushed spirit dries up the bones. It's literally what it's doing. It's not a analogy. It's like literally messing up your bones. And your ability to graft bone fractures and to heal open wounds and to lower blood pressure. All this other stuff is now, it doesn't work anymore. Because you're now in a state that is so low that your body doesn't, it won't devote enough resources into doing what it needs to do because it's trying to keep other parts of you alive. And kinesiology is a really cool way to see where this stuff is. But we've studied this stuff at a level that is not fully popularized. Before we keep going, can we hit celebration for a second? Sure. I know that your heart is not, you don't want to pacify the problem. But there are probably people who are listening that would probably ask the question of like, "Hey, I run a school or I run a group or whatever in celebration is a really healthy thing." Like we see it all over scripture. But it sounds like one of the things that is naturally causing jealousy is celebrating like the wrong way. From what you've seen, what do you feel like healthy celebration looks like? Because I know that's where a lot of jealousy can come from. It's celebrating the wrong things a lot of times for the wrong reasons. I'll be curious just on behalf of those people that might be curious about that. What would you say to sell? What are the things that you feel like are important to celebrate to? What are you talking about like celebration like getting drunk and having one-night stands or like what are you talking about? Never heard anyone say they want a nice stand to celebrate. That's crazy. What do you mean? Like awards that people give people. You see that a lot. Like there's awards ceremonies. We love to celebrate people for big achievements. And then you notice a lot of people are left out and you're like, "Dude, what about that person?" Have you ever been doing awards ceremony thing? No one's ever seen what that guy does. For example, if you saw someone win a big award, they're like, "Yeah, but nobody has the idea "what the gender of this school does for the kids here." We don't celebrate that person. I don't think we can fix that through celebrating different things. Because here's the problem is we require celebration as a species to direct human behavior. We can't really get away from that. Let me find this real fast. Because we're either one that talked about the study of kids who got graded on effort versus result. I don't know if you've talked about it on the show. I don't think so. Okay. No. Every. Okay, do you want me to answer this with a scenic reader or just give you a. Give me the scenic group. I feel like when I say that loud, it sounds like a dumb question. Like it really does. It does sound like a dumb question. But I would take the scenic group. We have to have. Okay. Let's take the scenic group and then I'm going to give my thoughts on it. But every system, every complex system, is known by what it. what it. rewards. and what it suppresses. This is how you know what a system is doing. Every system. rewards or advances a certain set of things and then it suppresses or punishes a certain set of things. I'm a bodily system, a governmental system, economic system, ecology. So, ecology, what is ecology, reward, and what is it, promote? Nutrients, recycling, nutrient production. It. ecology will balance the predator and prey. And so it kind of balances that out. It rewards resilience. It builds resilience. It. rewards interdependence. This is an ecological system. Did you like that? Yeah, the pack was great. It was great. It got my heart rate going for a little bit, but. Oh, great. I don't think it did. It felt like a bit of a stress. No, not heart rate.
I got my like heat, my body heated up like significantly. - I see those listening, we gave, Jake, it's not nicotine, it's something different. - Yeah. - Ecology promotes interconnectivity, it promotes interconnectedness, interdependence. What is ecology is basically how it's the study of like, biological systems in mass, so trees and animals and all this stuff. Okay, so that's what it rewards. Is this too scenic or is this okay scenic? - No, that was mind blowing. I've never thought about that with systems ever. - What does it penalize? It penalizes over consumption. If you have a, let's say take deer and wolves. If the wolves eat all of the deer, then the wolves die. - Right. - Penalty. If you have humans going in and converting everything all forest and those, but it will run out of resources. So it penalizes over consumption. It penalizes energy bottlenecks. It penalizes, it penalizes location mismatches. If you go into a place where there's not enough, so it basically balances the scales, but it's doing this in a way that is rewarding and punishing. If let's take psychology. Psychology is another system that doesn't have to do with interconnected biological beings, but it's the software of the mind. What is it rewarding? Emotional stability. It's rewarding the ability to regulate. Emotional stability. It is rewarding self-awareness. Because the more self-aware you are, the faster you can fix glitches and heal. It is rewarding coherence. It's rewarding coherence and alignment. So one of the most painful biases is a cognitive bias where you say one thing and believe something different. So it's punishing that. It's painful. And when they're lined up, it's rewarding. What else is it punishing? It's punishing cognitive distortion, which we sort of just talked about. It's punishing overreaction. Punishes overreaction. These systems are tuning all the time. So the systems that God built are so crazy. Like he built these systems that have run for thousands of years and they need no oversight. They're just tuning themselves crazy. No one has ever built a business that can last 10,000 years and just tune itself based on the advancement of technology and new employees. Like we don't know how to do this. Adam did any, F did all that, but that's a different conversation. Sociology, this is another we've talked about. Sociology, what is sociology rewarding cooperation? Sociology is rewarding cooperation of different groups of people. It's rewarding power distribution, specifically healthy power distribution. Some people get mad at this because they're like, "Well, I don't want to be under anyone else's thumb. You would die if there wasn't someone that you were under." With not, like we've, the thing we did about Lucifer's fall with power, we went deep into on that episode. You remember? He's the Seven Keys of Power. Reversing Lucifer's the minute that episode. Yep, yep. We don't exist without power hierarchies. We don't exist. So sociology is the reason that this is what it is because it's fine tuning over the civilizational arc of history. It's good when this type of person is in power and when this type of person is in power, everybody dies. So it's tuning itself. It rewards shared meaning because when we have shared meaning, we can move things forward. Think about the sociological effects of the tower of Bable. This is a forced software update. Vagis goes, "Pff, backdoor, flip the switch." Because everyone had these words, etymology. I read on Acts the other day that etymology is no longer taught in schools because it's dangerous. You understand where words come from? How even if we're so off the topic of justice? No, I don't think we are. No, you're doing great. Words etymology, where words come from? It's a perfect technology. It's perfect. Perfect. Like, you won't find anything wrong with it. We have language and linguistic containers that hold meaning inside of it. And at the beginning of time, Adam and Eve were created with a shared meaning inside of their ability to communicate. We don't see any history of God teaching them the alphabet or how to spell things or what. Their job was to name the animals, not come up with what words mean. They were commuting with God and they were on the same page. Who taught them how to do that? It was installed from heaven. Because they came pre-manufactured with meaning and language. But then it gets to this point where the people are rebelling because of Nimrod's jealousy. There it is again. It's Nimrod is jealous. And so he's caused this rebellion to happen. They're building this thing and God gets really pissed off. And he goes, I'm going to kill everyone. Nope, that's not what he does. He goes, I'm going to smash the tower and I'll do it. He does the most catastrophic thing that can happen to the people at the time, which is remove their shared linguistics. They can no longer communicate where the words and the meanings mean the same things. And that breaks civilization. But God did it. So it's perfect. So the meanings transfer with the new languages. And this is why etymology exists. We go, the word in English is Jake. Where does that word come from? Back it back. Do the first known record of what the name or the word means. Usually it'll track back to Latin or Hebrew or something. And then the meaning that is contained in that is like information that applies to the word today. So did the spirit world experience a switching of languages at the tower of Abbeyville? Don't think so. No. I don't think so. It was just our world. But God built the meaning to transfer through to the new languages. So in the spirit world, when you say a word, it's tracking back etymology through the etymology to what the actual root meaning of the word is. So Jake has a meaning in the spirit that you can find if you can go back far enough. And so the system that was used to enforce this punishment was sociology. Because now we don't have shared meaning anymore. And if we don't have shared meaning anymore, we're going to fail. Which was more destructive than just breaking the tower. Because if you broke the tower, they're just finding another way to do it. If you kill everyone, a new Nimrod would get jealous at some point and build it again. But so God was like, how do we prevent this from ever happening again? Take away the shared meaning. That's crazy. That is crazy. What is sociology, punish, fragmentation, trouble, warfare? Are you sore? No, there's something-- it's a carburetor, I just said. It's the fibula. It's a little jacked up on my right leg. And it's pretty painful if I cross my leg one certain way. That's OK. I'm going to a carburetor after this. Power of Accumes, sociology hates power of Accumes, which is why the first thing that a government will do if they want to break a government is they won't just destroy everyone. They'll just leave a power of Accumat the top. And it will crumble the government. Sociology will suck someone else into that power of Accum. And if we can position the right person to be sucked into the power vacuum, then you have the CIA doing their thing pretty much. What are we talking about? We're talking about celebration. Celebration is a system. That's all celebration is. And it's a system that fits underneath sociology. It's a sociological system. It determines what behaviors are rewarded and what behaviors are punished. I don't mean punish as like you get a spanking. Not being recognized is a punishment to the nervous system. So what it does is it's controlling what a civilization is going to try to do in the future. And so right now with schools, what we have with schools is we have-- and I think we'll probably be a part of this at some level based on the work that we're doing-- is we have to change some of the things that are celebrated in schools. We can't just go in and be like bullying is now no longer allowed. No one cares. Sociology has promoted bullying as a reward. Also, because if you are a bully, you can steal power. And it's not the teacher's fault, and it's not the Department of Education's fault, and it's not the government's fault. It comes from one of these glitches inside of sociology. And so what they try to do is they try to flip it. So they try to reward people who sucked, and they got ninth grade, ninth place trophy. That didn't fix it. We can't flip it like that. We have to have a new celebratory system inside of schools.
So the question is how do we build that soft? How do we build that technology? How do we build that system and what's rewarded and what's not rewarded? Because if you only reward people at the top, you have cheating, bullying, lying, stealing. So on the surface, it's just, we should reward people for studying, hard and getting good grades, right? But now all of the unintended consequences are rippling through the system. It reminds me of the Charlie Mugger unintended consequences that he gave a lecture on where a school, a college had a problem with, I think, snakes. And there were snakes on campus. And so they rewarded students, like $200 if they brought a dead snake. And so it worked for a little bit. And then it blew out of control because students were breeding snakes. Breeding them, killing them and getting paid for snakes. That's unintended consequences. You wouldn't really see it at the beginning. You only see it downstream. And what we celebrate as a culture is a, we're going to have downstream consequences. What happens to a culture? We thought that this was a great idea, okay? Whatever. Some dumb nut had this idea to like celebrate women not being at home, going into the workforce and not having kids. On the surface, I understand it. Your wife works. My wife works. Like over half of my companies are women. They have power. They're super smart. They love what they do. But when we celebrate and reward that and we try to take away the celebration that happens from raising good kids, now we're like, oh no, what do we do? We have population decline. Well, you freaking, you're, you made a dumb decision. We have unintended consequences that are rippling now through culture because we're not going to be celebrated for having kids. We're going to be celebrated for going out and competing with a bunch of dudes and that you don't have time to do both sometimes. Sometimes you don't have time to do. And now we have a civilizational issue. Why? Celebration. What do we celebrate? We celebrated the wrong things. And I think your original question is how do we celebrate correctly? It's not as much of an issue. What are we celebrating? That's the real issue. Interesting. That's helpful. Yeah, because I can see it even go in the opposite way. You saw that kind of with the Dugger family of celebrating kids and everyone's like, well, now you should have the big families. Yeah, you're absolutely fundamentalist. Be a fundamentalist Christian. Do this. Have a big family. That's the only way to do it. It comes out of Proverbs at the Quiverful of Aerosmen. That's how you do it. That's seriously. And then like you can see this documentary that just tore families apart. Why? I'm not familiar with that. You should watch the documentary. It does a better job of explaining to the night. They had 21 kids and counting and they were just, it just let it mess up. Well, I mean, if you want to go into it, like you start to see the, what end of happening is it looks so perfect. Like they had to, they were trying to rebrand what it looks like to be a great family Christian family. Dad had this underdog story of finally making money after working really hard. But then the Seagrers start coming out that the oldest brother had been sexually inappropriately messing with the younger girls. Because the kids have started taking care of the kids. Once again, the overconsumption thing had just kind of went crazy. And so then the family started covering up for him. And then the girls were under pressure. And it just kind of started breaking. And it all came from this idea of the, this guy that has started this, I guess you call an institute, I B L P institute of biblical life principles, basic life principles, basically principles. And so as that expanded, it became all about behavior modification. This one dude at the top was like, have a big family. Guess what? The dude was also sexually inappropriate with kids and was single giving advice to people to say they should have a massive family. And I think it was millions of people, right? There's millions of people, Baptist churches all over the country took it in and said, this is the way that you do it. And you're rejected. And you're actually pushed out if you don't have, if you don't follow these types of things. And you can only go to these churches to have this curriculum. And so the things that were celebrated were just kind of weird and then end up in turning into cover up culture and all sorts of weird stuff. Yeah, it's a pendulum swing. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know anything about that, but that sounds like a mess. Anyways, so I don't know if that answered the root of your question, but my my two cents on it is is we're always going to have the opportunity to have jealousy be triggered. If you took the world and you just removed celebration, we would find something else to make us feel jealous. So I don't think the jealousy, I don't think celebration is a culprit. I think celebration is behavioral more than it is a jealousy issue. But looking back on my life now, actually, we always have a choice in how we take something and how we take somebody else winning and somebody else being promoted and someone else, whatever being selected. And the choice that I try to make is first, I don't want to filter through jealousy and what do I want. And this is stuff I think we're going to get into is there's a different filter. I want to substitute that filter with a different filter. And it's pretty easy to do, but it doesn't stick. It doesn't stick on you. You have to put that filter back on. And it's a that's why it's like the same thing with full armor of God. Like you don't wake up in the morning with a full armor of God. You have to put it back on. You wouldn't go to sleep wearing armor. Would you? Do you go to sleep wearing that? No, not usually. Why is it that we wake up and we don't forget to put on clothes before going to a meeting? Because we know what kind of consequences we've come up with. We didn't because we're not yeah, there's a lot of reasons for that. I guess, but the thing is it's culturally normal for us to have to do something every morning. Do you brush your teeth every morning? Hopefully yes. You put your clothes on every morning. Hopefully yes. We have these routines that are normal. Most people are so worried about like I just want to fix something in my brain. It sticks forever. And it doesn't work that way. You have to you have to replace your filter. You have to put on the armor of God. You have to you have to change your heart every morning. Your heart has to change every morning. You have to change it. You have to go in and change your heart every morning. And if you don't, there's no permanent sticking. It's a constant renewing over and over and over and over again to realign back to the right rule system, the right meeting making. Does that make sense? Let's let's go into this from a spiritual lens first. And then we can end it with some practicalities if you're cool with that. If you want, you know, I think the crossman mind was I wanted to see what the study was in people who people who read their Bible every day, what it does for them every day, what the results were. Are you curious in this? Because you know what we're renewing. Oh, Heather hasn't let the candles to never heard of this study, but you've never heard of this study. They've done they've done quite a bit of different ones. It says to do. Okay, so consistent Bible reading more than four days consistently, we can associate with measurable differences compared with those who read less often or not at all. People who read God's word most days are much more likely to share their faith, disciples and give financially than those who don't. The same regular scripture and gators tend to feel less spiritually stagnant. They have greater confidence and proactive faith, emotional health, mental health things that says US adults who read the Bible weekly or daily tend to report less stress, anxiety and loneliness and greater hope than those that don't. In one study, reading scripture during hardship, help people cope with distress and find meaning, especially when they didn't interpret life as fundamentally evil. Even in behavioral and youth outcomes, research in children and teens who read or listen to the Bible regularly four plus days a week, they've done that over and over. It's four plus days a week. Shows lower odds of engaging in risky behaviors like smoking, sexting, relational misconduct, more positive relational behavior overall. Just kind of keeps going and going to going on the different effects of what it looks like if you do it every day. Nice. Just kind of backs up what you're saying a little bit. Do you read your rubble every day? I don't always, but I do my best and I'm the days that I do remind me that I don't know what the heck I'm doing. What I don't. Oh, when the days that I do that I'm hardcore about it, like, man, I'm like, what in the world am I doing? This is so stupid. There's that. I act like such a different person. There's that S word again, bro. Stupid. I don't like me. Oh, no. Oh, no. How awful. How bad would that be? People like to like me. You're all right. Anyways, you see, I love that I just get snuck that one on the right there. Okay. There's in from a spiritual standpoint, we talk a little bit about epigenetics and I want to hit that real fast if we can. But please, this isn't directly relating to jealousy, but this is sometimes what can unlock the feeling of inferiority, insecurity, powerlessness. And I'm going to hit this really quickly and then I because I want to get into the three layers of jealousy and how to fix them. Oh, that's what I really
want to get to. But we can't just talk about, we can't just say epigenetics and not cover like what that means, where it goes. So, not everyone knows epigenetics or epigenetics. There's a part, so you have your DNA, which is, I don't have the notes in front of me, it's the double helix and the person who discovered it, it's a data transfer from one line to another line. It's just transferring of data. It's a pretty much every facet of the way you look, your physiology, your neurochemical tendencies, your, even like some of your personality is coming from your DNA, which is your data. So, immune system, the strength of your bodily functions, mitochondrial density and like everything inside your body was just way more complex than I'm skilled or capable of teaching, is coming from this. But the DNA carries with it a lot of other pieces of data that are somewhat dormant. And so, your DNA can have things that are in your DNA, but you don't, it's not like engaged. It's not turned on. What do they turn on and off? It's usually epigenetic. So, they started calling it like junk DNA because you don't see it. But it's more like programming. So, it determines what things are actually turned on or off inside of your DNA. So, you have a MacBook, let's see, you have a storage in your MacBook, and you have certain things on your computer that you haven't looked at in forever. But it's still in your storage. Still there. So, if you could go in and you use your finder and you go find the thing, double click it, open it up and you look at it, that would represent sort of what's happening between epigenetics and DNA. So, it's there in your DNA, but no, but it's not really active and then something happens and it's turned on. It's like the programmer. It's programming different things. So, it's not junk. They call it junk DNA at the beginning because it doesn't do anything that they could see. But it's because it wasn't doing anything when they looked at it. And then when they try to go back through and be like, why did this person change? Why did this person, all of the sudden, develop an allergy to this thing when they were 35 years old? Why did this person suddenly, start aging faster or whatever? There's something in the memory of the epigenetics that is changing how we respond to different things. This is also backed up by scripture because when you look at generational issues in scripture, you have three main levels that you see generational language happen. Seed is the first one. So, the Bible talks all the time about like, I'll bless your offspring. Seed. The seed is the potential. It's the, he was, this is a raw. It's, it is the internal coating that is transferred through a person's line into their children. So, Ishmael had the seed of Abraham, Isaac had the seed of Abraham. And then, by necessity because of how seed works, that data and potential is carried through their bloodlines. And so, there are certain parts of a person's behavior that is coming from the, the inheritance of their parents, right? And so, God, when he talks about this, he's like, he's saying, "And this is three about, about seed. To your, Zara, I will give this land. I will put enmity between your Zara and her Zara, seed. Anyone that comes from your line is going to fight with anyone who comes from her line. We're not going to get over that. So, why the serpent and the woman have such a fascinating relationship because you, it's, it's, it's, it's their seed. It's like every offspring of a woman, which, last I checked, is every human is designed to fight against the offspring of the serpent. They're never going to get along. And anytime they do get along, it is because of some weird manipulation in the person. They're being manipulated to do it. So, this is where this, this is a person's raw material. Think about this just like it's the raw material of a person, but it's unsculpated. Then we have the house, is the second way that the Bible tracks bloodlines through. Bate is the word for house. And so, remember all the houses of Israel you have Rubin and Benjamin and Judah, Dan, Fathali, all of these. So, he's talking about houses in this, like the house of Rubin, the house of Benjamin. But by eating it's a different word and it means more environmental. It's like, it's exposure. You know the age of debate, nature versus nurture? This is that in the Bible. Nature, seed, nurture, house. So, how a child is raised has direct implications over what types of personality, what types of faith, what types of skills, what types of expression. So, the the Zara is the seed of something which contains so much data you're not going to be able to fully get out of the data. Like in one lifetime, you can't unpack all of the data you inherited from your parents. It's not going to happen. Sure. It's too much data. But what do we see with Jake Southe? We see the seed and then we see the house, which is the environment, your exposure, all of your attachment styles come from the big eat to the house, all of your fears typically come from your exposure. It's the dynasty of in which you were raised. Okay. I'm starting to see it. I'm starting to see it as like there's raw materials and then what you do with those raw materials determines what they can form into. Yes. Just because someone's born into brokenness, there might be certain things of brokenness that you can work with the material so that it doesn't always stay that way or it's reformed and it fixed over time. So, I never had this discussion because it only happened after the first time we talked about jealousy. But I had a lot of discussions with my parents after learning what epigenetics was because I had like probably four hours of conversations and I still kind of do sometimes. But I was curious on like, well, at least for me, I had discovered some wild things, some weird habits, weird patterns that I don't see with any of the people around me, just me. And then finding out that it's exactly what my mom did and she never told me that she did it. Oh, that's like, oh my gosh. So, what I was curious about is from a, I don't know, like what do you call like a relational social standpoint? Like, what do you feel like is probably helpful? That's like kind of general that people can do to kind of use it to understand yourself better and understand some of your weak points and vulnerabilities, things like that. Or maybe it just be helpful to speak from your own experience. So, like what you did, because there was a lot of things that you discovered from that episode as well. Yeah. I think understanding yourself comes down to the amount of time you sit with the Holy Spirit and ask them questions about yourself. I think that's probably more more helpful than asking your parents. It can be. But then you do have to train that because you'll hear something and it's like that doesn't sound, that doesn't sound normal. And so you can fact check it and you can make sure like, is this the Holy Spirit? Everyone has varying levels of being able to hear from the Holy Spirit. So you can fact check it and apply kinesiology is also really, really great. I went to an applied kinesiologist. She specializes in NAT kinesiology, which is more along the lines of nervous system allergies. So you know how a body can be allergic to peanut butter or something. Or nuts. Remember, fascinating story about this. So my daughter goes, I don't know if I told you this, my daughter goes to a school where she, I think it's, yeah, it's nuts that she can't take because there's someone with a nut allergy. Oh, gotcha. And so this was like six months ago and she comes home and she made a comment to her mom about one of the snacks and Lizzie was like, oh my gosh, there was a nut in that. And I just totally didn't think about it. And she was like, did you get in trouble? And she was like, why? She's like, because remember, we're not allowed to take nuts into the school. She's like, I didn't get in trouble. It's not like anybody choked or anything. Crisis averted. It had been okay. It doesn't fully understand the gravity of not allergy of not allergies, but your nervous system can have allergies too. And so you can become allergic to things that are good things you shouldn't be allergic to because of how we build associations. So and I'm going to get back to the to the to the seat and house thing in a second. But I'll follow you. I know we're seeing an effigy next way longer than you wanted to because I know you want to get some. This is maybe just going to be a long episode. But a a nervous system has a calibration to what the epigenetics are telling us to calibrate to. We are sort of we have we have memory that we don't necessarily have consciously. It's in our nervous system. It's it's a the best way to know how to explain it is the way that my my doctor explained to me, which is like, Let's say that you have three generations back. You have
somebody who was married and they were having kids and life was really good. And then the husband went into town to get a business deal, got the business deal while he was in town, you know, a horrible event happened and one of their children drowned. And then the husband came home, not knowing that the child had drowned and said, "Hey, we got the deal." And then she shared it and her nervous system accidentally associated two things together. And then that will transfer through the epigenetics because what the bloodline wants to do is keep the bloodline alive. It wants to keep the bloodline alive. It's not competitive in the way that humans compete, but it's competitive in the way that nature competes. And so if it learns something that it thinks will keep the offspring alive, then it'll put it in there and it'll transfer that lesson. And so then they have another kid after the loss and then it skips the generation. And then you have the grandchild gets a really awesome job, but the nervous system believes that financial promotion equals loss of life. And so now they're getting sick. They don't know why, they have to quit the job and then they get better. And they say it was the jobs full. And they don't understand. And then they go and they get another job. And it's even better than the first one. And now they're more sick than they were at the first one and they quit and they get better. These are the levels of complications around emotional allergies because what the body believes is that every time you have a financial windfall or an awesome promotion or something good, it's remembering a lesson that was planted three generations before or two generations, whatever. And it's the wrong lesson. So it's a bad association. And so then you have to go through a process of kind of letting that association go if to get it out. Because the body's got to sort of feel it's got to process it. It's got to just be like, this is something that I felt but I'm safe and you sort of let it out. And there's a process that can easily all just take you through to do that. But one of the ones, one of the things that I discovered is my whole life, I always felt like I just didn't belong. I didn't fit in. Something was wrong with me. I wasn't capable. I just it doesn't it doesn't it doesn't matter what it is. Do you church, business, friends, circles, every single memory that I have growing up even until like three or four years ago was I don't I don't meet the criteria to be here. I just don't fit in. Something's wrong with me. And so I went to this doctor and she was like, it was I think it was in in inferiority or insufficiency or something and the feeling of not being not fitting in. My body tested into those two things. She was like, I've never felt this way. And I was like, only since my whole life. But don't know. I thought that that was normal. It's like, no, it's not really normal. Let's find out when it happened. When did your body learn this? And it was the third trimester. That's my body was like, this is what happened. This sounds kuku and crazy. And I was like, how in the world do you learn something? I'm not even born yet. And like, she's like, it's probably something to happen with your mother. And was just thrown in as a lesson to try to keep you protected. So I was like, well, okay, we'll see what happens. There's a lot of stuff like this to happen, but this is the easiest one to explain. And then you compare it with like a married couple of my wife having emotional allergies. And then we are triggering each other's emotional allergies. And she doesn't know why. And I don't know why, because it's not in the mind. It's in the freaking body. Because we got it. We just had to roll through that. But call my mom. And I was like, Hey, what happened in like the third trimester? And of course, she's like, what are you talking about? I don't know what you're talking about. I was like, did you ever feel not? He didn't fit in. And she was like, Oh, yeah, it's brutal. Every day. Like, why? She's like, cause I was a teacher and I was having a kid. And none of the other teachers were having kids. And so I felt like something was wrong with me. And it's not capable of blah, blah, blah. So okay, this could be true for a lot of different people. But for me, for whatever reason, it like went straight into the programming for me. And so whenever I experienced anything new, in an effort to try to figure out what it meant, I just relied on memory. But it wasn't my memory. That's the problem. Like, if it was my memory, I probably would have found it, but it's not mine. It was my mom's memory that I just got access to. This is a different thing, collective consciousness, because some people have like weird memories that go way back. But some of those are epigenetic, too. Because you'll remember things, they never occurred to you. This happened with the biggest epigenetic study is probably on Holocaust survivors. And they had memories that were inherited from their parents. So the offspring of people who survived the Holocaust and the concentration camps. You can look this up. Just Google like epigenetic Holocaust studies. And their kids and their grandkids both demonstrated lessons that were way outsized. The intensity of like the need to escape or the stress response to things was way outside the mean because of the memories of their parents that transferred through the bloodlines. This is a different. This is the third type because we have house seed and we have narrative, total adult narrative is the third way the Bible sort of talks about bloodlines and seed. And so total adult is like usually when you see like in numbers where it's like and this person lived for 80 years and then they died. And this person lived for 100 years and then they died. And this person is usually record keeping. It's a narrative record keeping. And so it is the narrative that pushes through the generations that keeps these different groups of people operating under the same fallacies or the same conditions. You have the seed, raw potential. You have the house which is the expression usually comes from the clan or the tribe that you belong to you because that was your environment. You had a very different environment if you lived in the house of you know Benjamin versus the house of Asher, different houses, different experiences, different protocols, different things, the Levites were another one. So all of these people had specific jobs that were custom to their houses. And then you have the total adult, the narrative which is the psychology of the continuation of a story they go through. And this is where jealousy starts to show up in rare form because you inherit your meanings from your parents. And they inherited their meanings from their parents. And the grandparents inherited their meaning from your great grandparents. And it's just tricks, trackles through a whole generation of thousand years of just the same meaning as applied to the same experience over and over and over. Yeah. I don't think it would make sense to go into this episode. I don't think it's relevant enough to go into, but I'm causing to think as a result of that. How many movements, philosophies, rebellions have been built from having an experience and being like, "Well, work was killing me. It's bad." Okay, we should just not work on this type of thing or it just turns into some sort of weird philosophy because one person had a bad epigenetic experience. All of the yeah, but the good experiences too. Same thing. So the good and the bad both come from these three things, the narrative, but you can break it. And so we can actually break bloodlines. And it's bloodlines, so I'll deep-check going to that. I was trying not to take this too deep there, but how much time were we at on this? We're at 153. We're good. Okay. Let's keep going. Yeah, we said we were going longer in this year, so I hold back bloodlines can be broken and they do not require the seed to change. They do not require the house to change and they do not require the narrative to change. You can have the same zirah, the same bayet, the same telodote, it doesn't require. We don't have to go back and change any of that. Inside of this is the three pieces where we're going to tackle this is is extremely practical. It's the spiritual layer, the neurochemical layer and the sociology layer. That's these three things we've together to create an environment where jealousy lives, but they also weave together to create the environment where curses live. They weave together an environment where sin and rebellion can actually be fertilized as these three layers. We have to break them apart and deal with them separately, but on the topic of how many movements in history happen because one person said something built the meaning and then it transmutated through the bloodline, all of them, every single one, all of them. When the New Testament says that I think it's always saying this like from the Jews' conservation, that's because of the zirah, the bayet, and the telodote. It's because Jesus was a Jew, because of an honor to a promise that he made to David.
And so we see that trickle through the house of David and then all the offspring of David are sort of like Fitting inside of this coherent narrative to make way for Jesus Well, that sounds like a good thing. That's a pretty good thing. So we can't penalize all of it It's not all of all the bad thing but The Bible says that Abraham became the father of all who believed Let's deconstruct it The bloodline is not the determining factor of Whether Abraham is your father Not anymore it used to be But people have to have to realize that there was a changing of the hierarchy that occurred When Jesus this is why Jesus is such a big deal He's not just like oh this guy was born and he got us to heaven. No, no He did get us to heaven, but it's way bigger than that He gave us the ability to break and unravel bloodlines Because it's no longer the seed It's no longer the house and it's no longer the narrative. It is now just one the belief So through your belief you are inserted into a genetic line That is a bloodline because how can you be so much father if you're not yeah, they're not your kid like Doesn't work. Yeah, I think it doesn't work. So This is what scripture is actually trying to take a shot at which is there There is a force that supersedes these three things It doesn't mean that these three things have no power anymore. It's just now that they're under submission. They're under a chain And they have to fit underside underneath this this chain and so we can we can believe our way into different Seeds and expressions and narratives. We can just believe our way into them Which is awesome because then we don't have to go back and figure out how to like time travel and Fix all of that, you know That's that's wild. Let's take a break and we get some coffee and we'll recharge and finish up right Hey, we'll be right back to the show in one second if you're interested in going deeper on these topics spiritual discernment prophecy Destiny neuropsychology that we have a wonderful collection of trainings and some of our favorite guests We actually bring them out. We have them record full on deep dive curriculum style Pieces of education for you with workbooks in a community. It's really cool Want to invite you to take a look at it? You can use the URL on the screen. It's nobisnetwork.com/kairoscai ROS we'd love to see you inside back to the show. Okay Anything you want to hit before we get into some practical Side because at this point in the episode basically jellis is awful. You'll never see it coming. It could kill you Your life could be over Maybe we should change gears um Yes, I want to get yeah, I want to get there one more thing before we get to the practicals though Okay, be either this cross my mind and I've asked Jamie a bit of a similar question But I'll ask it to you is and I'm asking because this is a weakness that I have at times sometimes I get revelation and uh Sometimes I do look down on people because they don't have the same revelation and I know that's wrong I know it's wrong But it's a pattern I do sometimes I do it's like subconsciously and I don't realize I'm doing it and it comes off as Self-righteous and judgmental and the last thing I want to do is take the information here and Do that to anybody ever nothing I do it to everybody, but it happens and so um Before we get into the practicals that would be my last thing before going there is like What do you uh how have you learned to steward revelation in a way that doesn't You know about what talks about acknowledge can it can puff you up It can make you prideful and that's a that can be a weak spot for me You know how how do you suggest anything with that or like how have you dealt with that That is a great that's actually a really good question First I'm gonna hit this with the scripture and then I'm gonna Talk about management of that You Galatians six three if you think you're too important to help someone you are only fooling yourself You are not that important the csp says if anyone considers himself to be something when he is nothing He deceives himself Lead each person examine his own work and then he can take pride in himself alone and not compare himself with someone else Oh, it's what bible doesn't really love comparison. That's a problem I just realized that that's a problem For each person will have to carry his own load that's the csp um Let's change it to uh NLT pay careful attention to your own work For then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done and you will not need to compare yourself to anyone else For we are each responsible of our own conduct The my question is is it possible for you to look down on somebody else because of revelation if you're not comparing your revelation to theirs No that might be the fix Oh So that might be the fix if I examine my own life What do I have it to compare to oh only one thing what has god asking me to do and if it deviates from that I can sort of compare to like where god wants me to be but not to you. I can't compare myself to you And if I do in this season of my life it would make me feel puffed up but in 10 years I might have the opposite effect. I don't know where you're going to be in 10 years I can compare myself to you in a moment in 10 years and be like I suck It's bad on both sides So if you're not if you're not comparing what god tells you to what god tells someone else it may remove that That feeling of superiority That's good. That's helpful Distinct and practical That's what I'm known for bro Dexaked and practical.com that should be the next event we do you know what sound like a political figure when you send anything that's what I'm known for That's what I'm known for speaking of succinct and practical we have the may event Outside just probably triggered so many people all at once. Yeah, they're like having panic or they're like yeah That's right. Oh, no. This is a Republican channel. I can watch it I'm so sorry Good job, Jake. I'm an impressionist. I can't help it. Okay. There's three layers to jealousy Let's tackle them one by one the first layer of spiritual it is it per permeates through the Through the first and second heaven It starts corroding the The third heaven's the jealousy is Neurochemical cocktail and it is a spirit It's a spirit And it more probably a better way to put this is it's a weapon in the hands of a spirit It's something that they can use against you They can get you to drink it The battery acid thing then get you to drink it They don't have to do anything else to you your body will just shut itself down So they're going to use it. They're going to please show itself down. What does that look like practically because it's not gonna literally just die immediately but That was that corrosion look like same that it works on with the body the body starts losing its ability to communicate to different parts of the body Can't communicate the neuron connections are not working the immune system doesn't respond the right way It's weakened the energy goes down. So it just is a ripple effect Same thing happens in a in a person's spiritual life We can't hear God as well anymore. We Don't have faith because we're not receiving our confidence from God. We're receiving it from what works for someone else So our obedience goes down that obedience going down starts to attract circumstances into our lives that then Causes to not believe God. So it's this repetitive self-propexual any cycle and it all came because you You weren't protect you weren't protecting your mission. You were protecting your rank and God doesn't really Drive well with this in fact jealousy can if jealousy can get you into a position where you're doing things To outmaneuver somebody else will very easily turn into pride and I think prize the only thing in the Bible For God is like dude. I will Knock them down I'm not in do with them. I will kick them off of a moving horse. I will push them into the grounds It's not like the Lord opposes with his hand those who were caught in adultery That's not in the Bible about and say God will oppose He hates and he wants to oppose those who Mis-translate the scripture. It's not there either God opposes people Who say that they had a prophetic dream, but it wasn't really a prophetic no that's not there either So you want to go after something do you see God going after pride God resists The prideful he wants them pushed down. He doesn't like that We don't want if that's I don't want to anything to do with it. So but jealousy is telling me The sign to be spiritually where My filter has been replaced the filter of what is God asking me to do what's the voice of God telling me this means what's the
The instruction of the council of the Holy Spirit. That's no longer my filter. It's now what is that person doing? What do they have? Remember earlier I said there's a filter we have to replace. This is what you replace it with. What is my identity right now? What am I called to do right now? So my identity and my calling right now is very different than what it was five years ago the people that I was looking up to or looking sideways to or looking down that it's all of that's changed and so I have to be very careful in this season of my life because I am sometimes triggered because the the people I used to rock with They're chasing different things now and so you know, I'll see it and It's like part of me thinks it's awesome and part of me is like dude. I literally had that I could beat them Maybe I should I'm like better than they are like maybe I should go do that like the I'm not recognized for that anymore But I sort of liked it. You know me and it's like whoa hold on The meaning behind this has been it's been corrupted and it's the seed of jealousy This gonna cause me to start wanting what they have and Therefore I'm gonna start doing what they're doing and God is very specific like you're not doing that you're doing this Which is opened up some interesting conversations with me and God because I'm like well, okay I will do this, but how do I get that? So I'm trying to hack the system being straight up If I'm gonna do this Deep in nobleness like talk to people about this stuff and like there's not like tons and tons and tons of cash in it I love when people are like you're just praying on the Christians for what they don't have any money What do you think I'm praying on Christians for if I wanted to pray on a group of people? I would not pray on Christians Statistically one of the most already stricken mindsets of any other religion group Mormons maybe they got a lot of money after a morma's dude More money you're saying it new new age new age, right like they want to do self-development. They want to grow Yeah, like I'm gonna be going after Christians and It wants to talk to Christians. That's not what I wanted to do now. That doesn't mean I hate Christians Just means it doesn't make sense. It's a fallacy But sometimes I get into this position where I'm like God doesn't want me to grind it out on this side, but that's what I'm trained to do I don't know how to do it and It's opened up some things in my heart that I have to sort of like talk to father God about or like you know Perfect love just like Lindsay my wife will always be like ask God for a revelation of how much he loves you And I'm like that's a great point But I don't really want love I want provision so It doesn't work. I'm like I know you love me don't let me die. That's a different thing Well, I'm also a I don't know if this is a guy thing or a girl thing But I'm like I want God to show how much she loves me through dominance Dominate my enemies Store up the wealth of the wicked and give it to me and Then you start reading in the be attitudes and they suck It's like dude none of this sounds like what I'm asking God to do for me So what do we do with that? Well, we have to sort of sit in that tension to be like God change my heart change my heart Change my filter. I want my filter to be pretty exclusive I'm like How do you see me and what do you want me to do not? What do they have and how do they see me and what could I do to be like them? It's just a different filter and jealousy shows you it's not telling you what you want Jealousy is is not a sign of how do I know what I want? Well, what are you jealous for? No? Jealousy is a sign that is telling you where you have stopped trusting your assignment You've come out of alignment with that and you're now starting to get into alignment with what their assignment is Your jealous of it That's the heuristic that it gives us so we can sometimes use it to know how to pray That makes sense. Yeah, do you feel like this would be a good spot to hit the healthy desire? No, okay Second layer Second layer neurochemical layer Spiritual it's a filter for our assignment when we get out of our assignment we start Desiring Things that we should not have neurochemical layer is a threat system. It's a threat system. It's a threat cocktail The the way the jealousy works because there are good studies on Even though we don't fully understand the the brain and totality we do have some good studies on Neurochemicals when the neurochemicals release why did they make you feel the way they make you feel all of these things Like insecurity did you know that insecurity is literally just neurochemistry? That's all it is But then the body learns what that neurochemical is supposed to feel like and the body starts positioning itself before it even receives the Yeah, this is this is why looping sometimes becomes really dangerous because we're preemptively looping Because the last three times this happened. This is what happened and we're learning from then And you call that the brains desire to have predictive analysis around everything it's like predict that itself The brand loves predicting accurately. It loves predicting accurately so much That it will change what you experience so that it doesn't have to update its prediction This is muddy waters dude like muddy waters because if we predict this someone's not going to like us and The brain makes that assessment in that calculation. This is like You I think we talked about this the the Bayesian brain This was a model where they were like the brain just comes up with random hypotheses and then tests them the problem is the brain doesn't like being wrong So it's like testing the hypotheses and then stripping and censoring the data doesn't It's not an effective model the Bayesian brain is working, but it's working to get what it what it what it wants which is to be right which is bad so We'll sort of be like this person to like me and Then they'll be like wow, it's really awesome to meet you. I really like you and we'll be like see They don't want me to discover that they don't like them and the meetings all messed up And it's like we yeah, that's just your brain protecting its predictive analysis, but jealousy takes you into this very binary zero-sum game state so zero-sum game comes from Sociology I'm glad we talked about sociology in those systems. That was your I didn't have that The celebration. Yeah. Yeah celebration because it helps explain some of this inside of our system If someone else is winning If we default to that means I'm losing Then we have a neurochemical issue That is going to breed like a greenhouse jealousy. Mm-hmm. There's no one wants to lose So now we just want to do whatever they did so that we can have what they had because we want to win it becomes a survival issue Not data. It's not data. It's a survivorship. It's like I have to stay alive And so when you when you experience jealousy, which you're legitimately feeling most times is a survival state If if I don't have what they have it means I could be erased like I'm about to be erased Which is why we feel it so deeply sometimes and it's painful real Deve jealousy is like it can be physically painful because it's driven by Really what what causes is zero-sum is like you have mouth functioning dopamine and predictive analysis so Your your brain is just basically being like If we don't get what they have you could die and dopamine's one job is to keep you alive Just trying to to move your behavior You want to talk about celebration as a crazy thing inside of the neurochemical system? That is dopamine. It's like it's not just to make you feel good is to basically keep you alive So you're gonna have dopamine around the things that are good for you to survive Which is why when you when you go to the gym and you exercise? usually feel pretty good and You got endorphins and stuff but a lot of this middle because you just did something your brain's going like Hey, you just did something that could keep you alive for another couple of years So let's do that. Let's do that again. The problem is when that gets malfunctioned and it's like If you don't have that plane you're gonna physically die and then you get the plane you're like Hey, you just did something that's just gonna keep you alive and it's like no that's not what that means. We're messing up All of the all of the waters. It also causes the neurochemical level Instability of jealousy causes remination. What is remination from your perspective? Pontification which is you're thinking about the same thing over and over for a specific purpose or to get to a specific outcome Okay Remination is those things Remination is when you're Your constantly you have two models. You're constantly scanning backwards And then you're taking that and you're you're trying to scan your current environment for anything that could cause that to happen again So it's hyper it's hyper vigilance And it in it is it is gonna clone inferiority So your brain goes if I can just eliminate inferiority
which is what it felt like here, what are all of the signals of my inferiority, scanning your environment now for anything that could show that you're inferior and trying to reduce that delta, that gap. - Mm-hmm. - So it's not actually a desire state. This is where we could talk about healthy desire because jealousy is not desire. It's threat. It's not desire. - Is it threat protection? - No, threat. I'm going to die if I don't have what they have. - Oh, gotcha. - I want that. I desire that. That's not what it's doing. You're going to be a race from the gene pool if you don't have that. That's not desire. That's threat. And so the brain's going to treat your social ranking as a survivor, as a survival mechanism. And so if you don't rank at the very top, then you don't know if you're going to be alive tomorrow. It's so silly, but it's how we were sort of programmed over the years to operate. - I was letting you roll. I've had all, trust me, I have a lot of thoughts going on in my head right now. - Yeah, we'll hit them. And then there's a third layer and then we'll tackle, we'll go into how to fix it. - Right. - Let's go. Go for it. - Oh, my thoughts. Things are running through my brain is the thought of, well, I'll do this and I'll die trying. And great statement. - What it's making me think of though is like how many broken systems have we created because we saw one person do it one way and then we create our entire life around it because we're like, well, they did it that way. So that's how I have to do it to get there. It's not always true. And face value, again, it sounds so simple and so dumb, but when I think about it, I'm like, okay, that makes sense. What a, what a, what you would call just like a glitch in thinking to go, okay, this is how this person did it. Therefore, that's exactly how I have to do it to get what that person got. And then we end up perpetuating a bad system. And the reason I'm thinking of that is because I see so many, I've seen a lot of businesses out there say, there are Christian business, but like Jamie was saying, there's nothing that separates them from being a quote unquote Christian business. They're the same thing. They've just taken a model and then they just do the exact same thing. There's nothing about the kingdom that's integrated into it. - Well, there's really, there's not even a thing such as a Christian business. - Right. - They all must 101. - Yeah, yeah, doesn't exist. But you're still thinking in terms of modeling. You're still thinking like in terms of modeling. So let's pick, let's rub, rub, rub, draw this out. - Modeling, philosophy, some movements and how they're built. - Yeah, but that's, you're in the middle, you gotta go to the beginning. So in the beginning, you have the construct that creates the modeling. And then out of that modeling based on what you model, you have life or death. So we have three phases here. - Got it. - In the middle we have modeling. What are we doing? What's our choices, what's our behavior? So in, in, in, in, Eve story, we have three things that happens. The first thing that we have is we have a disassociation from reality. Just straight disassociation. God said this, disassociate from that, plug into this. Then we have the second thing, which is distortion. What does it mean and look like? And then we have destruction. And so this rolls through every choice, every, every clustering of choices a person has, we have to make sure that we're associated with the right truth, that we're receiving clean signals and they mean the right things. And that determines our choices. And then we either get life or death on the other side of that. Every clustering of decisions is the same way. We don't have to think about it this way. It doesn't matter. It's what's happening in your choices. So you're in the middle. So you're in the middle with distortion and like what do I, what do I model and how do I do it? But if the very beginning, which is what's true and what's false and why, if that's fixed, you don't have the issue that you have in the modeling in the middle. - Yeah. - What does it mean if, let's say we take two pastors, one person has 12 campuses, the fastest growing church in all of Texas, these Texas, 'cause that's where all the churches go to get big, I guess, Texas. - Or Nashville, I guess. - I don't think some of Texas is the land of the mega church, bro. - I wonder why there's that one prominent figure that runs them, just kidding. - Okay, so Texas, they moved to, they got 12 campuses in Texas and the fastest growing. And then we have a pastor who is really small and not really interested in multi-campus, multi-site. They might both be doing what they're called to do. - Yeah. - What's the only thing we can use to corrupt this guy, the guy with the small church, is to get him to look at the big church, and then warp his meaning around what he's doing and get him to believe that it's insignificant compared to the big one. And then jealousy is born like a seed in the ground. Because now he wants not what he's called to do but what the other guy has. And so now everything coming through is distorted. The filters distorted. He's not gonna read anything clearly, nothing. God's gonna say, this is what this means and he's gonna be like, I looked and saw that the fruit was good, same thing was even it. It's gonna distort everything. And then he's gonna start making choices based on a threat state. Because if he doesn't get what the other guy has, the corruption and meaning is now in his nervous system and he doesn't have a choice. To stay alive, he's gotta stay aligned with the distorted meaning. And now we've got him chasing something and he falls. Why does he fall? Because God's no longer giving instruction because he's ignoring it. And this is jealousy 101. - Oh my gosh, dude. - That's it. What does that say about the people? Like when I think it, oh my gosh, dude, that blows up a whole bunch of stuff because it makes me consider all the times that I've given people quote unquote advice. And instead of pushing them towards what is the Lord asked you 'cause I wasn't trained to do that. Ever, I would be like, well, what are they doing? Oh, that's working really well. Why wouldn't you do that? Don't you want to have more impact? Don't you want to have this? And like, isn't that the kind of person that you want to be? Well, yeah, it's who I want to be. So why aren't you doing it? And then essentially just guilt trit's them. And either they get the option to either cut me out of their life, which would probably be a smart idea if someone does that to you, you know, just generally. Or they could take the advice and then make dumb decisions as a result of it. So it may not be dumb. It may just be wrong. It may be a really, really intelligent, wrong decision. Okay. For those who are listening, let's think of the audience for a second. For those who are listening and then they're just, they just went, oh, I started something because it rooted from there. Like, obviously, I'm sure the goal is not to give people shame or guilt about it. But I'm curious from the patterns you see in scripture, does God tend to just want to redeem it? Or does God usually tend to just want to tear it down? Or is it pretty? Is it always super nuanced? He does, but. It depends on how God looks at it because God has a vantage point that's way bigger than mine. So he does both. We have, I mean, did he redeem Sodom and Gomorrah? Not exactly. Nope. Nope. That's no longer it it unexisted it was unexisted removed as a new unalived What about Um In the flood that's another example, but what about I'm thinking through The issues that the Israelites had in numbers 20 they were not killed They were the generation that went into the promised land. So that was redeemed It depends depends on Part of it depends on how big your calling is and how important and significant it is not that I'm trying to put a put tears in it But some people already eyes with hands with feet like you just got to know what God's telling you to do in your moment and for me it looked a lot like unexistent like it Gone, but there was so much in that That the root systems probably I don't know if they would have been redeemed. I don't know. Yeah, but then also it could have been a test for me It could have been for me could have been do you still believe that I am Worth obeying if You don't have the things that you thought I gave you and that could be a test for me God tests us all the time in like It's it's junk theology to say God doesn't test people broke. He will test you all the time Be tested all the time He'll never tempt you into sin, but he'll test you all the time because if you are responsible Mr. Human for the generational Expansion of life or death for billions of people and you held it in your hands You'd probably be tested with that too because there's a lot of power Guys gonna test you all the time to make sure that you're trusting him and you're not getting
your all of your marching orders from some random guru on the internet, including myself. Don't fail the test with us either. It's just because I see something. This is how God operates. God may show up with you in your prayer time and be like, "Not true for you. Here you go. Listen to, bro. God or Taylor Welch, let's make sure we listen to God." So the most important thing you can ever learn is how to hear God. That's the most important thing you could ever do. Ever. The word of God is a person. Listen to that. Yeah. You forgot your question didn't you? No. I was just going to ask you if you have anything you would say to people who feel shaming guilt about starting something from the wrong place. If you feel shaming guilt from starting something in the wrong place, with the wrong motives, you mean? With the wrong motives, yeah. Imagine when we started deep in from a place of like, well, actually, there were probably some mixed motives when we started deep in. I was kind of at the end of my rope for you, not for me. Yeah, for me. I'm speaking for me, not for you. But I don't want to do it. I know that if we're fine, my motives were, I don't even have to spunt if I have to ruminate for a few minutes on that. But what would you say to anyone who maybe feels a little bit of shaming guilt? Like, oh, oh, that's not good. So practically, you come to, I mean, that's a, that's like a workshop. If it's too elementary of a question, I'm sorry, or you can send me to two dense, it's actually way too dense and gravel. Like that, we deal with belief systems and belief architecture and we deal with the shame from the past at Sacred Timelines. So that, and that's two days of just like full on talking to God and going through what's happening in a person's brain while they're talking to God. It's, dude, you were at the last ones. It's dense. So I could give someone some focus, focus, pastor answer, but it's not going to work. You have to have, you have to have like a, an ongoing conversation with God about how you're labeling that. Even, even feeling shame about something in the past, that presupposes that you know what the label is on your past and you don't. Good point. Don't have you asked, God, what does this season mean? I started this thing and I didn't ask you about it and I think I started it for the wrong reasons. What would you label this as? If you haven't done that, you don't even know if you have the wrong ingredients to feel shame. You're just sort of accepting it, just being put on you. Hmm. It's a great point. So you have to start there. Yeah. The third layer wishes the sociological layer. And when we go through the spirit, the neurochemical and the sociology, you can see we're going third heaven, second heaven. And then we're starting to touch the first heaven here because sociology exists in the first heaven. It's what you can experience around you, tangible other people. And this is where it's, it's engineered. I said earlier, jealousy is profitable. It is. A lot of businesses get big because of jealousy. A lot of businesses sell products from a place of jealousy and attacking people status and like, that's right. I, you know, I need to do xyz. So it's built into society and it becomes performative. It creates performative identities. I am worth something because of what I do rather than I am inherently worse something because of who I am and out of who I am, I do what I do. So I was twist the order of it because it's, it's a lot faster for me. I don't, we don't do this, but I'm just going to give you an example as a marketer. It is a lot faster for me to get you to be a customer. If I can make you feel shame, jealousy and frustration, then it is if I have to take you through a process where you're not experiencing same and expect you to just be a good little boy and do what you're supposed to do. It's easier for me to box you into it. And we're not allowed to do that. And so sometimes it's actually been interesting on the back end of these businesses. You know, like we can't use, we can't use this angle because it makes people feel like they're, they're going to suck if they don't buy this product. Like we can't do that. We have to give them a better reason, move on something, you know, but most of society is engineered opposite. And it's like how do you, you know, direct response marketing 101, you just put people into a position where the only hope they have is to buy something. That's not how God really deals with people. So we have to be careful with his business owners, and we don't do that, either. But this is where comparison comes from is sociology. We're comparing to other people. And it is causing us to get our judgment of good, bad, high status, low status from other people. Part of this is normal. We can't get rid of all of this. But we have to allow the Holy Spirit to kind of clean out our filter. And by cleaning out our filter, it means that our rank has to come from a different place than our status on the earth. It's got to come from a different place. And so on one hand, I can hear people listening to this business owners who are like, well, what are we going to do about it? Like, there's obviously a difference between being rich and poor. Yeah, there is. You can't eliminate that. So isn't it a good thing for a sales team to compete for a leaderboard? Yeah, that's good. That's a good thing to do. Competition is in an athlete's nature. We want to compete. All of these systems are not necessarily bad. It's when they become corrupted. And we then have chronic rank anxiety, and we have chronic performance issues. And we're seeing ourselves through the filter of possessive, performative, earn it. But then messes up everything else. So why did Jesus say the first will be last? The last shall be first and the greatest among you will be the least. And the least will be why did he say this? What's he obviously is intelligent? He's not saying that if you want to have a first place trophy, you have to score no points. Not done. What's he tackling here? We have to know where else he sounds like a crazy loon. Yeah, because he's not speaking literally. He's not literally moving something in the first heaven around. Here's how to win the valedictorian, have a 4.0 fail all your tests. That's not what he's saying. He's talking about where your rank comes from sociologically. Where are you comparing? Where is it going? Yeah. The attention in this is like, what do we do? Well, that's why it seems like that's what also wouldn't it also be why Jesus said the example is God of the universe is doing the work of a servant or a slave of washing feet. Yeah, it's like I didn't come here to serve you or I didn't come here for you to serve me. I came here to serve you. So he always understood a higher level of ranking than we do. You know what I mean? And so he's what he's I think what he was doing is chipping away at this performative sociological training that we have. So we just have to get ahead all of the time. And I don't think he has a problem with us getting ahead. I don't think that that's the problem. I don't think he's saying, dude, don't get ahead. Don't protect your family. Do not make money. That's how you grow evil is having wealth. Don't win anything. No awards. Don't ever celebrate being better than you used to be. Just become a loser and a failure of a human and then you'll be the first in heaven. That's ridiculous and stupid. He's saying the way you get ahead is actually opposite of the way that sociology teaches you. How to get ahead. And what's interesting is now in corporate polling and business studies, we're tracking back this idea of promotion to value. Which is essentially value transfer is service. So how do I get ahead? Well, I want to serve so that I am transferring value to other people around me. And as I transfer value to other people, I will start getting ahead, but not because I'm trying to keep up with you. Not because I'm trying to out hustle you. Not because I'm trying to steal your titles, but because through value, sociology and the structure of just civilization will begin to promote the people who they see is the most valuable. And that's part of the lesson is if we can become inherently worth it or worth it because of where we came from, we're going to want to share that value with other people. And then we start experiencing promotion. That's what healthy desire looks like. Not jealousy. Healthy desire is always attached to not just what am I going to get from this and therefore that is my desire, but it's always attached to what is God trying to do in this situation. And how does it affect the people around me? And if those are both aligned, good, that's a healthy desire. So there are some stuff that we can, let's look at antidotes for jealousy. If you're like, yeah, I was raising the zero sum game. This is really tough for me. I love God, but I don't really know.
know how to like stop the promotion grind culture, generosity, epic, epic level antidote. Like, generosity is one of the highest powered behaviors that can actually begin to rewire your rating system inside of you. And we've done, I think we've done an episode on generosity before. Maybe inside of the economy of heaven episode. Yeah, I don't know if we've ever just done generosity as an episode though. Okay. Generosity takes the way that a person compares themselves horizontally and it starts to turn them vertical. Because they're no longer comparing their worth based on what they have compared to other people. They're not comparing, they're now sort of like latching on to like how that God's using them as a lifter for other other people. So it shifts and operating frame from scarcity into abundance. It engages different energetic systems inside of the body. This is fascinating when somebody participates in generous activities, whether it's with their time or their their money. It pushes them up the levels of energy. So different systems in your body activate and they only activate when you're being generous. It enhances creativity. Anytime you can remove scarcity, you're automatically going to improve creativity. Scarsity, throttle creativity. So generosity is a great, a great antidote. It's a great way to kind of start behaviorally pulling yourself out of this rat race, you know, for whatever it is that we want to call it. Number two, get a purpose from God for your season. Is your purpose from God? Hey, Jake, this is what we're going to do to change the world. Climb onto the ink 100 list. Maybe it is. Probably it's not. What's the purpose? What's the what's the motive for why you're here doing what you're doing right now? Alfred Adler is the part person who really took purpose theory and teleology to the next level. And he says there's nothing that a human being does without purpose. If you stand up off of the couch, go to the bathroom, your purpose, go to the bathroom. If you move your mic, you have a purpose for it. If you move your head like this, there's a purpose behind doing that. And it's probably to rest your head. If you go get food, there's a purpose. So we can't discothe everything's run by purpose. It's not the goal goal goal. Yeah. You have a goal system that is driving every behavior you have. If you go at your kids, there was a purpose driving that, what's the purpose? You have to know the purpose. If you're a helicopter parent, there's a purpose behind that. Most of the time, it's your own self-esteem has nothing to do with your kids. You just want to be the man. And we're like, no, I want to protect my kids. These are my days that know you're improving your own self-esteem. It has nothing to do with your kids because you're you're new you're new to ring your kids by doing everything for them. But that's the purpose. We have to identify the purpose. And so a life that is aligned with God's purpose will just begin to render what other people have kind of irrelevant. It's not that you don't consume it as data. It just doesn't mean anything. So you don't care that much. So you got a different a different purpose. Makes sense? Awesome. Number three, not an antidote, but an inoculation is silence. Let's go let's go deep for a second. When when Jesus was teaching how to pray, he was like go pray in secret. When he was telling people how to give, he was like go give in secret and don't even let your right hand know what your left hand is doing. There's something here around a protective inoculation device that silence gives you. And when we are tracking down the part of us that is trying to explain, defend, correct, usually it comes from status. It doesn't come from healthy identity. And so it's almost a posture of discretion. If you're dealing with jealousy, you should have a season that you go through and you just try to exude silence. And see how uncomfortable it is and the more uncomfortable it is, the stronger the root of jealousy has become. Well, I say that one one more time. See how uncomfortable it is to just be quiet, to let people talk with half the story, to not try to straighten up and over explain every situation, to not try to get yourself into the spotlight, to give a good word when you're at church or like just practice silence. Can you make it through a season of silence? If you can, then it will start to like just starve out this programming error. The jealousy sort of climbs through. Interesting. Very interesting. And luckily we're out of time, so I don't have to explain it. Number four, number four, there's something really fascinating when people come at you and they attack you. And we talked about this with the evil eye. In the first, we didn't really get super deep into the evil eye in this discussion. We kind of went off into wherever we went. I don't even remember. But when somebody says something about you and it isn't true or when somebody is jealous of you, most of the slander that happens comes from fear and jealousy because we're primarily they originate from. So if somebody's going to say something about you that's bad, then it can usually be traced back to like they're either existing in scarcity and fear or they're existing in jealousy. Because what other reason would you have to falsely discredit another human being? Honestly, no, because I was going to say you can make a bunch of stuff, but then it always comes back to fear. It's like what Jamie said. It's always fear or love. Those are the only two things that can motivate the human heart. Fear and greed, which would be fear and jealousy. And when this is, and this is like ancient and I don't want to track, I don't want to take us where this where this comes from, but it doesn't matter where it comes from. It's you find it in scripture as well. When somebody says something or when somebody discredits or when someone comes after you for something, the the accusation is looking for a place to land. It's oftentimes slander is looking for a place to land. If you've never been slandered, you're probably just not important. You're not doing anything. You're not standing for anything. So it's not a good thing. It's like, well, no one's ever slandered me because whether there's not smoke, there's not fire. Nope. False. Fact check. False. It means that you don't have anything in your life. This somebody is like jealous of or they want to stop. There's no like what? Why was somebody not experienced slander? Is the enemy just doesn't care about you? That's not a good thing. That's not. That's not what you think it means. The Christian life is full of people saying things about things about you that are not true all the time. It's like the premise of mean girls. Yeah. But oftentimes when you have control and you've disciplined your instincts, you will just not respond. It's not just silence. Silence is the behavior. Non-response is the position and posture. I'm not going to respond to this. This doesn't. This doesn't affect me. It's not true. It's and this is a weird thing for people to feel when they're having to meet people being jealous of them or people speaking ill of them or talking about them when you have to meet this with peace, trust, acceptance, all of it goes away. Let's start to go away. And what we think we're doing is we think we're defending ourselves. We think we're setting the record straight. We think that we're actually protecting our position. Well, who protects your position as a you or as a God? Should be God. It should be God. I think God's more capable than you are of defending you. But we take that place and we actually give it power. We're feeding that system through our being bothered by it. And it's not circumstantial as energetic. It's in the realm of energy because these things, if we personify them, they feed off of disruption. And when you allow what somebody else says to disrupt you, it gets stronger. And it begins to grow. How do you use that? Like you've said, I mean, I know it's kind of a funny way of putting it, but you're like, you want to have the ability to learn from everybody. I don't I feel like I have the same desire to do that. But when I try to do it, I think sometimes my emotions give well, then sometimes I get buttered along the way from being honest. If I look at this land or I'll be like, well, I could learn from this. But I don't I'm not always emotionally detached to be able to do that. What do you, what have you learned about that? I know sometimes still comments do still sometimes trigger you at times, but there's gotta be some things you've learned about that as well. Yeah, well, it's not just comments like comments are relatively low on the total pull, but there are people who are like recording those record videos and will be like, this person does not even know Jesus. This person's a false prophet. And it's like, really? Or somebody will be like, he said this and I never said it. And so it's like it's falsehood. It's lies. It's false.
And the goal is not emotional disassociation. The goal is taking it to God and be like, "Did you see this?" I'll literally do this. Did you see this? And what do you think God's like, "Well, no, I didn't see that one. I slipped through." The radar, I should have seen it, but I didn't. He's not in AI. He's not going to miss stuff. So the answer is always going to be like, "Yep, I saw it. What does it mean?" You're, it's about how fast you can go to getting God's opinion, rather than putting your own label on it. Yeah, what does it mean? What does it mean? And so sometimes this has happened to us last week. What does it mean? And what he said, that person has never received validation. And they're desperate for validation. Okay, what am I? Me responding to it is validation. I'm feeding it. It's not even, I would ruin it. God, what does this mean? And sometimes, it means he's been like, it means that you need to be more careful in what you say. Because you didn't say it, but the context of it was. And so how much work have we done being you together, just off camera, off radar of like, I could have maybe said that better, or we need to like figure out how to like not clip that, or like, it could be taken in a way. And so that's because of learning. So I am learning. I'm not just dissociating from it. But I've never asked God, this person says I'm a false prophet. What does that mean? Well, yeah, he's got a point. You kind of are a false prophet. That's never happened. And if it ever does happen, I'm like, way far gone. And I need some help. But it doesn't ever mean what we think it means. Because if we respond through threat activation, we're always going to misread it and mislabel it. And then the last thing. And this is another antidote. Is blessing your enemies. Blessing them. What does this mean? It means that they've never received validation. Well, this person has this other thing. What does that mean? It means they have a different mission. Okay. Well, bless them further. Give them two planes. Give them four. It's not about like, do I actually want them to have two planes or not? Like my operating system is going to be run based on asking God to bless other people. Bless them. This person said this thing. What does it mean? Okay, bless them. And this has a way of like, just like an arrow coming in warps at mid-air and it sends it back to something different. It doesn't ever stick. That's awesome. It's really hard to do. And if you've never tried it, you know how hard. You don't know how hard this is to do. Like, I don't know how Jesus was on the cross me like, father, please forgive them. They don't even know what they did. I wouldn't have done that. I'd be like, kill them all now. Like, how did he do this? He was so disciplined in making sure his whole life everything in here matched everything up there. And so when he got to the end of his life, you got to see the instincts show up, right? Because his cognitive function is very low at this point. You're bleeding out to death on a cross. Your brain's not thinking with executive function. What we got to see is his instincts. Those were his instincts. His root code doesn't matter for, forgive them. Forgive them. Bless them. This is amazing. It's crazy. We're nowhere near that. I'm nowhere near that. I've got a lot of modeling to do to get closer to how that is. But when you pray it, your heart starts to be like, well, this is what we're saying. So this must be the program. So I'm going to go with this. Hmm. Wow. Hmm. He's not like you're eating a burrito. Maybe I am like, how do you know I'm not? That, yeah. It's very, very convincing. I don't have questions because I'm just like, yep, yep, yep. That's true. The culmination of all of this is literally one basic rule. Asking God what it means and asking God what, getting a purpose from God for your life that is not just running off of what socially rewards us. Our system has to be like, that's what Paul was saying too. It's crazy how the Bible just like ties into all of this. There's a system of the flesh and your instincts will come from the flesh. There's a system of the spirit and your instincts will come from the spirit. Pick one. Delicy doesn't exist when you're fully operant based on what is the Holy Spirit say I should be doing right now. What's my mission? Hmm. And that is a baseline principle where if we don't do it every day, like, we're not going to do, we're not going to, we're going to fail. Like if we don't do it every day and we can't blame it on the earth, we can't blame it on other people, we can't blame it on social media. It's just we didn't stay connected. We didn't stay connected because Lucifer had no outside influences that made him jealous. It just came because everything naturally decays into entropy when you're not lined up with heaven all the time. Yeah, that's it, bro. That's it. Okay. Super Solomon. That's it. That's the podcast. Now we're done. That was really, that was a, that was a, a killer part two to jealousy if there ever was one. That was really good. I feel like you went 10 times deeper here. And I still feel like there were things about jealousy that are still helpful for context in the first episode that you gave around like Jewish culture, or the evil eye where they came from. I still think it'd be kind of fun if people are just watching this. Maybe go watch that one still. It made me trigger by it though because it was a little bit less, it was French, a little bit French. Probably. If some of the evil eye stuff comes from Kabbalah. Yeah. No boy. We just had Dan on. No ties together. There's, there's different types. There's just like different types of that. And like some of it is they're borrowing from the main thing. So so, so kind of convoluted where you can't throw, if you throw out every baby with the bath water, we would eventually throw out prayer. But we can't do that. Just to be like, can't be that antiquated to think things through. It makes sense. It makes sense. Anything that you feel like is appropriate to end with before ending the episode. No, I love you guys. And I'm taking a vacation this week. So I'm really excited about that. This episode will be published by the time you get back. So where are you going? Actually we're doing a staycation. Oh okay. Good for you guys. We are going to kick the kids out. And. Let them stay in the guest house in the back. Just having them stay intense on the land or something. No, they're going to the, they're going to their grandparents. Nice. And we're just going to get pizza. Watch movies. Yes, that's the pool of. We're going to swim. Oh, that sounds so wonderful. So we're using your putt shack thing. Hey, finally. You're going to so much fun man. And I'm going to just be embarrassingly good at putt putt. Oh, good for you guys man. That's going to be so fun. We're so excited about it. And then we'll just rest. And then we'll be back next week. Ready to rock and roll bro. All right. All right. Love you guys.
Podcast Summary
Key Points:
Jealousy is presented as a foundational spiritual issue, described as the seed of witchcraft and a precursor to rebellion.
Jealousy corrupts healthy comparison, acting like a "bad measuring stick" that erodes personal boundaries and can distort one's purpose into destructive behavior.
It is often rooted in generational bloodlines and epigenetics, not just social circumstances, and can be exploited as a profitable force in competitive systems.
The distinction is made between internal jealousy (unhappiness at others' success) and the external "evil eye" (a stingy, manipulative energy affecting others).
Personal reflection highlights how jealousy can subtly infiltrate motives, such as in business growth, and emphasizes the need for self-awareness and alignment with spiritual principles to counteract it.
Summary:
The discussion centers on jealousy as a profound spiritual and psychological corrupting force. " Jealousy is shown to erode healthy personal boundaries, turning good purposes into harmful ones, akin to a cell becoming cancerous.
FAQs
Jealousy is described as the precursor to rebellion, and since rebellion is equated with witchcraft in the Bible, jealousy is considered the seed of witchcraft.
Jealousy erodes healthy boundaries, causing a person's good purpose to become destructive, similar to how a cell without boundaries can turn cancerous.
The two categories are internal jealousy, where one's motives are driven by envy, and the 'evil eye,' which refers to the negative energetic influence of a jealous person on others.
Comparison is necessary for measurement and pattern recognition, but it becomes harmful (jealousy) when using a corrupted or counterfeit measuring system instead of a healthy, spiritual one.
Jealousy can be identified when you feel unhappy or discredit others' successes, or when your self-worth is tied to always being the one winning or moving forward.
Jealousy can be a product of bloodlines, influenced by generational programming and epigenetics, making some individuals more receptive to jealous behaviors.
