The Cross & The Crown: Our Substitute, Christ Our Identity

This teaching centers on the substitutionary work of Jesus Christ and the believer's identity in Him. It begins with Adam and Eve, who sewed fig leaves to cover their shame, representing man's futile attempt to atone for sin through good works, religion, and personal effort. God rejected this covering and instead killed an animal, demonstrating that only He can provide the covering for sin. Since the wages of sin is death, no amount of good deeds can pay the penalty; only death satisfies divine justice. God therefore established sacrifice from the beginning, foreshadowing Jesus, the ultimate and blemish-free substitute. The message then explains the sin offering and the burnt offering through Old Testament Levitical imagery. In the sin offering, the offerer's sin is transferred to the sacrifice, and God views the offerer as having died and paid the penalty. In the burnt offering, the opposite occurs: the sacrifice's worthiness, obedience, and consecration are imputed to the offerer, rising to God as a sweet perfume. Christ fulfilled both. The Father is over-satisfied with Christ's payment, continuously pleased whenever He sees the believer. Because believers share Christ's federal headship, whatever is true of Him is true of them: His acceptance, righteousness, exaltation, and victory are their identity. The teaching urges believers to behold Jesus rather than themselves, since transformation comes by the Spirit as they fix their eyes on Him.

Speaker 1I want you to lift your eyes, the eyes of your heart, and behold His glory. Behold His effulgence, who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, He sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Oh, behold His glory. He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but for the sins of the whole world. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. The King of glory, Jesus, the Almighty, the Pantocrator, Jesus, the firstborn from the dead, Jesus, He holds the sway of the universe, Jesus, the undisputed conqueror of death. I am He that liveth. I am He that liveth. I am He that liveth. I am Him that liveth. I am He that liveth. I am He that liveth. I am He that liveth. as a clothing for Adam and Eve. God was correcting Adam and Eve because they had used fig leaves to sew clothes for themselves. Now, that is man's attempt to use his works, his performance, his effort to cover his own shame and his own nakedness. And that is ingrained in man already. Man always wants to cover himself. Fig leaves speaks of man's religion, man's attempt by his effort to make up for his own sins, to pay for his own sins. You know that when Jesus came on the earth, the only thing he cursed was the fig tree. That's the only thing he cursed. That was the fig tree. And Adam and Eve clothed themselves with fig tree. That speaks of man's deeds, man's effort, man's works. But you know what God was communicating? God rather had to kill an animal and use the animal as a covering for man. God was communicating that my covering for your sin can only come from me. It cannot come from you. The provision of covering for our sins cannot come from man. It can only come from God. It was God who had to clothe Adam and Eve. So man cannot clothe himself. It is God who can do the clothing. Man's attempt to clothe himself is to use good works as a payment for his sins. But you see, there are people, when they have sinned, they try to use good works as payment. Some would like to give to orphanages. Yeah, people do that, give to orphanages. There was a man who even became a missionary just to pay for his sins and to make atonement for his sins. He was reaching out to sinners everywhere because he is sent and he has love for them because he felt he wanted to bribe his conscience, appease his conscience, be right with God. So he was doing a lot of things. That was an attempt to pay. That is fig leaves. Man's attempt to provide atonement. But you see, we are trying to lessen what sin is. The wages of sin is death. If you have sinned, what you deserve is death. So if you want to pay for your sin, you have to die. Not just, don't try doing good works. So God had to kill to prove that this is the consequence of sin and the penalty for sin. What sin demands is death. So you cannot say you are using good works as a payment. You are reducing the effects of sin. Praise God. God requires death. So man cannot clothe himself with fig leaves. So you know how God did? God is inflexibly just. God is impartial justice. You see, God cannot let sin go unpunished. But at the same time, God loves you. And God doesn't want you punished. So the best God could do was to give a substitute. For that substitute to take your place. So that his justice is met and at the same time, he has loved you. Praise God. Because God must be just. Because the judge of the earth must do right. So God provided a substitute. But a substitute to receive the vengeance of sin. So that there's an innocent victim who takes our place so we can go scot-free. So from the onset of creation, God established sacrifice. Sacrifice. Far long before the law, the fathers were sacrificing. There were burnt offerings. There were offerings before Moses. Because God established it from the beginning. All were earthly adumbrations. Prophetic foreshadowing. Foreshadowing the coming of Jesus Christ. Who was going to be the ultimate sacrifice and the substitute for mankind. So what God demonstrated, was foretelling what was to come. Praise God. You cannot clothe yourself. Because your righteousness is filthy rag. The Hebrew says, your righteousness is a menstrual cloth. That's a Hebrew word anyway. So, God, God has to give you and clothe you with the righteousness of his son. So when his son dies, after death has occurred and blood has been shed, his son now becomes your clothing. This is what he laid from the foundation. Praise God. Hallelujah. For he has made him to be sin for us who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. That's substitution. Christ became our substitute, actually. 2 Corinthians 5 verse 21. Yeah. 1 Peter 3 verse 18. Christ has once suffered. The just for the unjust that he might bring us to God. Being put to death in the flesh but quickened by the spirit. So we see him being the substitute. The Bible says the just for the unjust. He's the just one. We are unjust. So the innocent just. The just one took our place. He's the just. We were the unjust. He took our place. That's a substitution. He became our substitute. We see 1 Peter 2 verse 24. 1 Peter 2 verse 24. We see Galatians 3 verse 13. He became cursed for us. So he took our place. Hallelujah. Praise God. That is the sin offering. Let me just demonstrate the sin offering again so that we can. Can I get some three guys for demonstration? Okay. Alright. Alright. Okay. You be the high priest. So you stand. He has the high priest. Okay. You are very tall. Okay. You come. Alright. I just want to be the sinner. Who be the sinner? It can be the sinner. Okay. A sinner in suit. So you are the guy you have sinned. And this is the high priest. Now you have to provide an offering. So this is your offering. Yes. Under the law. Leviticus. Yeah. Leviticus. That is what it said. So this is a goat. Yeah. Leviticus chapter 4. Yeah. This is a goat. But if you are a ruler or a priest you have to present a bull. So let's say this is a bull because you look like a man of God. A bull. You know because you are not willing to go down. I have made you a bull. I wanted to make you. So you have to send your offering to the high priest. So you bring it to the high priest. So this is what happened. So he brings his offering to the high priest. Then the high priest will have to examine the animal sacrifice if it is without blemish. You see it cannot be without blemish. It cannot be without sport. The old testament animals were never without sport. So the Bible never used without sport for them. The Bible used without blemish. But when it comes to Jesus. 1st Peter chapter 1 verses 18, 19, 20. The Bible says he was without blemish and without sport. You are a bull. You are enjoying the word. Hey. Thank you. Thank you. You cannot get an animal sacrifice without sport. It is only without blemish. But with Jesus. Not only without blemish but without sport. Without blemish. Blemish is a birth word. That speaks of birth. That means when an animal is born. One leg should not be crooked. One eye should not be blind. It should be perfect as seen from birth. All the features should be perfect. So the high priest will examine your offering if it is perfect. It is perfect, right? Then you invite him. You come and lay your hands on him. So come and stand before him. And lay your hands on him. Don't be afraid. Lay your hands. And as you lay your hands. We call this imputation. All your sons. As you lay your hands. All your sons are now imputed. So this is your substitute. You deserve death. You deserve death. Now the good news is that. When this man came to the high priest. The high priest didn't examine him. His offering was examined. When you stand before God. God is not examining you. God is examining your offering. Which is Jesus Christ. Christ is perfect. So we should have no fear in his presence. Because our offering is perfect. That is Christ. So your sons are imputed to him. All your sons. To the bull. Or the goat. When that is done. Let's take this to be a knife. the high priest has a knife he will give you the knife the high priest doesn't kill it for you you have to kill it yourself because your son's put Christ to death he wanted to know that it is your son that put Christ to death you have to have that revelation so cut his head off cut his head off yes yes yes I die you have to die you've done well you are a worthy sacrifice you are a sacrifice so what is happening is that thank you very much what's happening is that now you can now go free you know why you can go free God is not condoning with your sin in fact it's not condoning with your sin sin must be judged and sin must be punished yet God still loves you so what God could do for you was to give you a befitting substitute that every son is now transferred and this substitute has received every judgment or your death and paid a price for you so this victim took your place so in the mind of God when this victim was dying God was seeing you dying actually it is your death so God was treating him as a victim as you so God saw this as your death so in the mind of God you are dead and you have borne all the judgments and all the punishments and you can go scot-free glorifying God hallelujah praise the Lord thank you very much god bless you sir thank you hallelujah thank you so that's what actually happened but you see what happened sometimes we don't receive the full import of what happened let me tell your story in the days of Napoleon the Emperor in France of France he had a lot of wars there was an era he had a lot of wars and what happened was that those who were to go for battle they were conscripted into battle by a lottery system what they did was that they invented a big lottery machine you know how the lottery is then they have this small small small balls and they roll it here and there and they write the names of the young men in France they have a selection and they write their names on the balls so they roll it and they roll it the names that come up or that comes out are those who go and fight for the next battle so all the young men have their names there so you may not know whose name will come you may be home have a nice time with your family with your wife but the next day you are called to go to war so so there's this my young man whose name came up so he was called to meet the authorities so the authorities told him you have to go for the battle because your name has come up according to the law in France you have to go and fight this young man stood before the authorities and said I wouldn't go they asked why they said because I went to battle I went to war two years ago I fought the battle and I died so I can't go again so initially they thought it was a matter of insanity because the authorities were amazed if you were dead why are you standing here he kept insisting oh I went to the battle and I died so if you died why are you here he now began to explain that when it was time for me to go for the battle a friend of mine came to me and said that he was not married and he had no responsibility and because I have a large family he told me that it was not reasonable for me to go he was not chosen I was chosen but he took my ball and went in my name he went in my name and fought the battle and on the battlefield he died so when he died it was me dying so because I died I cannot go so it became a big case until it's rich Napoleon himself and Napoleon said that Napoleon actually justified a guy and said France has no claim on him because he truly died because someone a substitute died in his name so he is dead he cannot go again praise God even men understood us how much more our Father in heaven let me tell you something have no idea what Jesus had no son to die for there was no reason he should die he didn't die for himself everything you saw was for you don't even think about others think about you the death was your death God viewed the death as your death actually it was you dying it was you dying praise God so in the mind of God you died in the mind of God you have received judgment in the mind of God you have been severely punished and severely received every kind of judgment that is why God cannot judge you again for sin you see it's not difficult to understand because it's not difficult to understand if you see that his death was your death you see for because you want Jesus died Jesus doesn't need to die again you understand his death was once and for all because it is your death if God is to judge you again the judgment he placed on Jesus number one it will be the law of double jeopardy number two it will be it to mean that God wasn't satisfied with the first payment and because he wasn't satisfied with the first payment he has to pay it's like someone he has to come and demand the rest of the payment because Jesus didn't pay it in all yes so for God to come and judge you again for what Jesus was judged for implies that God wasn't satisfied with that judgment because Jesus his judgment was eternal the cross is timeless if the cross wasn't timeless then the death of Christ wasn't enough because it wasn't enough because it means that do you know that when Jesus died he took away the sons of your unborn children true or false they have not been born but he took away their sons why because the cross is timeless he took away the sons of the past from the first man Adam to the last born of the Adamic race also he took away the sons it was outside of time it's eternal that's what he did but this man after he had offered up one offering for sons forever sat down he sat there's no offering again there's no offering again you should understand it there's no offering again and God is not angry with the believer because Jesus exhausted God's wrath all of God's wrath came upon Jesus you cannot receive God's wrath do you think you can receive his wrath do you understand the technicalities of God's wrath the same shall drink of the of the of the wine of his wrath which is poured down without mixture into the cup of his indignation and they shall be tormented in the presence of the Lamb but in the presence of the holy angels in Revelation 14 verse 10 those who refuse Christ their judgments and their torment is wild so at the last day those who go to hell are those you know why people go to hell nobody goes to hell for their sons because their sons were paid for they go to hell for rejecting the payment for their sons that is Jesus so the rejection of Jesus is what sent men to hell you are indirectly saying I don't want my any substitute I want to bear it myself so I don't care for your substitute who told you I cannot bear it myself so that is why people go to hell yeah I came prepared and you see we have no idea the value of the sacrifice did you know who Jesus is do you know his exceeding preciousness do you know his eternal value do you know his surpassing worth Jesus as payment for you Oh Jesus he paid it all they're starting to pay again so you are free there's a gospel you are free you are free indeed a free indeed a friendly let me show you how free you are as I asked the 53 let's be the best in Makara bakata yet it's pleased the Lord to bruise him now they can James says uses bruise but the word is crash you know to bruise someone the word here means to crush someone into pieces Jesus was crushed into pieces now the word bruises to become it has idea of blue black you know hitting someone on the face like that but Jesus was not bruised he was crushed the Greek the Hebrew actually is crushed crushed into pieces what Jesus passed through is beyond telling yeah when we read the Gospels the sufferings we see where the at what sufferings of Jesus but a real sufferings were not outward that is when he was actually bearing our sins he has put him to grief when that shall make his soul an offering for son he shall see he said he shall prolong his days and the pleasure the Lord shall prosper in his hands and he shall see this level this level he shall see of the travail or the anguish of his soul he shall see the anguish the anguish of his soul and shall be satisfied by his knowledge shall my righteous servants justify many for his a bear the iniquities now the Bible says that he shall see of the travel the anguish of his soul and shall be satisfied let me tell you something when Jesus died justice was satisfied listen the father give us Jesus in his love but it is his justice that puts him on the cross because he loved you so on the cross infinite justice you may call him inexorable justice is impartial impartial justice puts him on the cross and let me tell you something no single son escaped his eyes you see the eyes of the cherubim on the ark they are always watching they represent God's judicial eyes there is no son that missed the eyes of those holy eyes every son of the human race its penalty was put on the Lamb of God he bore it all and he became the same offering and bore all the wrath of God and when he was bearing it he saw the travail of his soul and the father was satisfied justice was let me not say father justice was satisfied I need three times for illustration again I don't need the bull I don't need can I get a different set and because people are and the high priest and there you know okay so you will be you look like a rich man so you'd be okay um oh I think I need two people sorry and it was sorry yeah yeah okay you may come in later so you wait so you you were owing him okay you are owing him thousand dollars thousand dollars and this guy has been chasing you for a long time then you keep running away then your friend uh-huh head of the predicament and you called him and told him that you are busy you are you are traveling and there how much is your friend owing six thousand dollars except okay give me a condom I'll put $1 million into account okay let me say this way this one is owing him thousand dollars and you pay him thousand dollars okay this one is owing him thousand dollars and you pay him thousand dollars okay now everything is settled you can go your way he can go when when you meet him you are fine but you go your way I mean nothing more much nothing less because you just it's a edu recompense okay so you become satisfied all right you are satisfied because everything is paid that is not the word for satisfaction okay you are satisfied here I want to show you how the father was satisfied now in the Hebrew the word satisfied in the Hebrew the Hebrew word is felt as a be a you know the Hebrew word here number one means literally to have in excess but they Hebrew the tense in Hebrew is in the imperfect tense now if somebody is the imperfect tense it means that the thing is done over and over and over it is done continuously repetitively it is happening it has constantly happened happening it is continuous praise God now he's talking about how much the father is satisfied when Jesus died how much was he God satisfied what is the level of the father satisfaction we're owing God so we're owing God and Jesus was the one who paid for our state but and I'm saying that if you are owing him thousand dollars and you pay him thousand dollars he is satisfied once and for all if he goes his way but this verse is describing satisfaction in a very unique way imperfect tense means that he's not just satisfied he's always satisfied any time he sees you who he comes to hug you like you saw him on Monday just come and hug him happy you're happy then you yes yes and just be happy then you saw him you saw him on Wednesday then you saw him again on Friday then you saw him again on Sunday you know why he's happy because of the payment because this kind of satisfaction it's in the imperfect tense it's just a once and for all satisfaction that the person is continuously satisfied satisfied satisfied satisfied continuously
Speaker 2every time he sees you Wow he comes after you and he's happy thank you thank you thank you thank you Wow thank you
Speaker 1that is the way it is for God how much is satisfied and the way it is self in the Hebrew means to have in excess the reason he satisfied why would this guy be so satisfied and be so happy like that this guy was from family or in him formerly he was angry with him but now whenever he sees him he's even I mean chasing him and thanking him what's the reason they were satisfied here in the Hebrew means to have in excess that was the payment was not wasn't a due payment he the payment was in excess was so much in excess so much that if this man is owing him thousand dollars and this one was one million dollars into his account you know what is what is happening this guy is going to be satisfied because he has an excess and the satisfaction will be in the imperfect tense it to be a constant continuous satisfaction whenever he sees him he is happy hallelujah he's happy
Speaker 2that is what is happening when God sees you God is so happy because the one who paid for you paid in excess God is so happy for you because because of you God himself is again a hallelujah Jesus Christ is an overpayment for all our sins our substitute was far beyond whatever we owed and whatever we can owe he himself carrying himself the eternal value the eternal preciousness he is more than all our sins put together so when he became the payment the father is satisfied because the father has been overpaid the father is over satisfied the father is satisfied in imperfect tense constantly satisfied he has in
Speaker 1excess that is why in the book of Romans chapter 5 the Bible uses the word much more five times much more comparing our state in Christ and our previous state in Adam God uses the word much more the Greek says innumerable uncounted differences you cannot compare what we were and what we have in Christ now and how much God now is a gainer hallelujah why is God so satisfied because he's satisfied satisfied with the sacrifice he's so satisfied with the payment God is happy God is happy according to the glory The gospel of the glory of the blessed God, which is committed to my trust. Oh, 1 Timothy 1.11, the Greek actually says, the gospel of the glory of the happy God. Because Jesus died, God is happy. Man cannot pay. God is happy because he's a substitute. You've given him a perfect substitute. Praise God. So, whatever you see in Jesus, it was you. Because he went there in your name. He went there in your name. Today, infinite justice, that was once against you, is now for you. It's now in your defense. Because the cross, Jesus took your name. So, everything he undertook was you undertaking it. So, when a father sees you, he sees you justified. Much more than being now justified. By his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. The work is done. The work is done. Jesus, the ultimate sacrifice. He's the befitting sacrifice. He has satiated, fulfilled the heart of the father. God is happy. All our problems comes in inadequate revelation of what Jesus undertook. Of who he is and what he did. I'm telling you, that you set you free. It will set you free so much that your life will be. perfected. This is the root of holiness. You'll be so holy, accidentally, that you are amazed that you are pleasing God this way. Ah, it is born by revelation. It is born by the appreciation of him and his work. The more you see him and his work, you can't fool around. I wonder if you can truly fool around. That you had information, not light. Praise God. Not light. I'm talking about light. Light. The true light that lighted every man that came into the world. Light. Jesus satisfied the father's heart. And that is in your account. That is your substitute. Jesus has died. Thank you very much. Hallelujah. Give them a round of applause. Applause. Say Jesus died for me. Hallelujah. He died in my place. He died in my place. It's my substitute. So, the judgement was placed on an innocent victim. And I go scot-free. This was the father's plan. All the sacrifices of old foretold it. And I go scot-free. God sees you, and that principle is a principle of faith, which begins to translate into your daily living and change your life entirely. If you can see what God sees, now you belong to a new federal head. Whatever happened to Christ has happened to you. When Christ was accepted, you were accepted. Because when Adam was rejected, you were rejected though you were not born. But now that you are in Christ, because he's accepted, your acceptance is in him. Praise God. Now, where is Jesus today? The Bible says, as he is, so are we in this world. Why? Because God sees you as a federal head. Because God has put you in him. Because he has become your new identity. Your identity is not who you are in yourself. Your identity is who you are in Christ. I'm telling you that the reason why we fail most of the time is that we become so self-occupied. But if we become Christ-occupied and know that who he is, is who we are. What he has is what we have. What happened to him is what has happened to us. That's what God has done. Like it was in Adam, so is it in Christ now. As he is, so are we in his world. So then, God, are you here with me? So where is Jesus today? As he is. Adam became sick. It was put into your account. Everything that happened to him was put into your account. It's by federal headship. You were a sinner, not because you sinned. You were a sinner because your federal head sinned. See Romans 5, verse 19. For as by one man's disobedience, many were made sinners. It was one man's disobedience, him. So by one man's disobedience, shall many be made righteous. So you are righteous not by your obedience. You are righteous by his obedience. You became a sinner not by your disobedience, but by his disobedience. Please, are you following me? So everything has to do with these two men. So whatever Adam did was put into your account. Now, Jesus, where is he now? I'm telling you that where is Jesus? He's at the right hand of God. As he is, so are we. You may say, oh, it's not practical, but the Bible says so. No, the Bible says so. The Bible says right now you are enthroned in heaven. But do you believe it? Because he has made us sit together. The Greek says he has enthroned us together. Is it true? The one who said his name is the truth. The one who is telling us the word. And scripture cannot be broken. So, now, is Jesus sick? Is Jesus healthy? So are you in this world. Is Jesus strong? Whatever your feather head is, that is you. Is Jesus poor? No. Is he wealthy? Is Jesus fresh and handsome? Does Jesus have the deal of youth? That means he has the fount of youth. He's forever young. Is he like that? Do you think he's an old man working with stick? Following after Father Abraham? No. Jesus is fresh and strong and youthful. Is he under the cloud of God's favor? Now, listen. Previously, there was no man on the throne. Now, there is a man there. Just because he's your representative and your identity. So, he's you. Whatever you are. Whatever he is, is who you are before God. Previously, before his incarnation, there was no man on the throne. He had not partaken in our humanity. But now, we ascended in humanity. So, there's humanity today, and all about him is because of you. We have been so honored that there is now humanity in the Godhead. Humanity is now transcended into the community of the Godhead just because of his love to represent us. So, where is Jesus today? Is he above all principalities and powers? Is Jesus condemned? So, I'm telling you that if you can have the picture of who he is, look, you will defeat every attack of Satan and every temptation of Satan. I'm telling you, sometimes you feel you have failed. You become so introspective that you realize that you start going down, down, down, down, down. You see? That is another aspect of selfishness also. Scripturally speaking. The reason why you have become self-focused, you are looking at the wrong thing. You are looking into yourself. You have to look at your identity. Your real identity. It's in heaven. Listen, although you missed it and you are introspective and you are going down, the truth is that if you get into yourself like that, you will be depressed and distressed. The real identity, Jesus, he has not failed. As he is, so are you in this world. As he is, so are you. That's what the Bible says. I'm telling you that you can take this verse. You only have to believe it. Now you may have weaknesses in the flesh, but your true identity is not the flesh. It's in him. So as you keep beholding him, you become what you are beholding because that is what God has made. That is your federal head. According to God's standard, who you are is your federal head. Praise God. Who you are is your federal head according to God's standard. That is why we are called to behold Jesus. The Bible says we all with an unveiled face beholding us in the mirror of the glory of God are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the spirit of God. You see, the change doesn't come from us. The change comes by the spirit of God. We don't do the change. The Bible says even as by the spirit of God. It's not our part to even change ourselves. It's by the spirit of God. Our part is to do the beholding. His part is to do the changing. Our part is to behold Jesus, who he is in the word. So our part is doing the beholding. His part, the Holy Ghost's part is to do the transforming. The transforming work. But if you don't behold, the Holy Ghost has no material for your change. That's why people struggle to change. They struggle and they come back to square one. But the more you behold Jesus, you can behold him from depression to joy. You can behold him from worry to peace. You can behold him from sickness to wholeness and health. You can behold him because as he is, who he is, actually in the mind of God is who you are. If you can get that image and hold it and believe it and confess it and walk it, that is the principle of scripture. You begin to say it. You may be feeling some weakness in your body, but your identity is Jesus weak. Say, Lord, you are not weak. Whatever Adam was, with that apology, I inherited it. Who Christ is now, the word says, I am. Why should I apologize for it? Praise God. He is my federal head and I'm in him and the price has been paid. The father is satisfied and actually whatever he has is mine because if children, then heirs, heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ. The word is suncleronomos. That means it's like joint, you see where two people co-signs. One cannot inherit without the other. We are not co-heirs. We are joint heirs. Equal right. That's who he has made us in him. So, without faith, it is impossible to please him. He wants us to use faith. He wants us to behold him. Why do we have to behold him? As you see him, I'm telling you, that's your real image. That's your real identity. As you behold him, you become him. Miracles happen when we behold Jesus. The law of gravity was suspended when Peter gazed on Jesus. He didn't even recognize he was working on water until he took his eyes off to natural element and he began to sink. You see, so faith subdued gravity and miracles were precipitated. They looked unto him and they were radiant and their faces were not ashamed. Look unto me and be ye saved, all ye ends of the earth, looking unto Jesus, the author and the finisher of our faith. Who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross and despised the shame and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. So, as we see, that's Christianity. It's constantly beholding him. You don't look at how weak you are in your flesh. You look at him. Because ye are complete in him. Who is the head of all principality and power? You are complete in him. Do you understand it? you are completing him now the Greek actually said you know the Griffiths in the perfect stance the Greek says you are in him made full with the present result that you are in a state of fullness and this is the truth what you lack in your flesh he is full of it what you lack he is full of it so maybe you see that you lack health but your identity is full of health that's Christ whatever you like is full of but in real sense you don't even like actually you are completing him so it's all about what you see until you see from spiritual perspective you walk in defeat in this life my son pay attention to my words incline your ears unto my sayings let them not depart from your eyes that means that see what scripture sees let them not depart from your eyes see it see it by his stripes you were healed are you seeing it that people even confess they are healed but if they are not seeing it how do you see it see yourself do you see yourself healed do you see yourself healthy do you see yourself wealthy do you see yourself holy this yourself forgive merciful now how do you see scriptures will anoint your eye with eyes off to see you can owe the depth of the riches you can see you see we have to see our real identity even if you feel you have failed your representative your federal head your identity has not failed you know how God sees you today God sees you the way he sees Christ because you are in him like the way God saw you the way he saw Adam because like the book you are in him you are in him have you forgotten a tabernacle of Moses it was ruled by it was overlaid with gold so what you see is gold the wood is hidden that's what God sees he doesn't see you outside Christ you are in him you are in him he's your real identity hallelujah praise God praise God I'm telling you that we are so spiritually endowed that the only regret we have in heaven is that we miss a lot on it I'm telling you that and if we refuse to practice the word who may think it it doesn't work but if it doesn't work then scripture doesn't work script it doesn't work but I say is so are we in this world I say is so are we if Satan is attacking you listen is Jesus above principalities and powers so are you in this world so are you in this world when about we've been said far above all principality and power might and dominion and every other name that is is named not only in this world but in that also which is to come and has put all things under his feet and gave him to be the head over all things to the church which is his body the fullness of him that filleth all and in all and verses and he has he quickened who were dead in trespasses and sins now then he talks he comes and now in verse six of Ephesians 2 says you were raised up together with him and you are seated with him so where are you you are far above so actually he is your identity before God so in life's challenges keep seeing him and keep making reference and Satan if you if you points to what you do and what you don't do say that always whip you Satan will always get you defeated points to Christ and you see that you are lighting up point to Christ you see yourself in lining up whether in health whether in strength with whatever be all right hallelujah Leviticus chapter 1 Leviticus chapter 1 verse 2 speak unto the children of Israel and say unto them if any man of you bring an offering unto the Lord ye shall bring an offering of the cattle even of the head and of the flock if his offering be a bent sacrifice of the head let him offer a male without blemish he may offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the Lord and he shall put his hands upon the head of the bent offering and it shall be accepted Hebrew the Hebrews is favorably accepted for for him to make atonement for him okay okay we'll go down all right can I get and I won't do another illustration the old the first set okay okay so who's a high priest a high priest is a high priest okay so who's a high priest okay all right so this time around what we did first was a son offering this time I'm illustrating the bent offering okay so you send your bent offering to the high priest so the same way that was high priest or examine it's a quick one quick examination the high priest is so busy that's okay so you are quick to lay hands Wow lay hands on no man suddenly all right so lay hands on a bent offering now this is different from the son offering with the first offering your sons goes today and my sacrifice but that's not a bent offering with a bent offering the innocent bull it's beauty it's worthiness it's innocence it's acceptance when you lay hands rather comes on you it's rather who they are the beast is its worthiness acceptance its glories its riches its beauties it's innocence rather comes on you with a son offering your sons goes and I said but it's worthiness worthiness comes on you praise God so this one so the bent offering speaks of Christ our righteousness because a righteousness actually comes upon you by with a son offering so that's what on the cross all of these things were fulfilled but the Old Testament sacrifices couldn't put them together hallelujah praise God so what it means is that now with a son offering when your sons are laid the judgment comes upon the offering and God is treating treating you as the sacrifice but with a bent offering the worthiness of the sacrifice comes upon you and God is now treating you treating you as though he would treat him because what's the sacrifice is in its worthiness and substance it's not transferred to you praise God but that's not all I want to go down let's go to verse 6 verse 7 and the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon the altar and shall lay the wood in order upon the fire and the priest Aaron's sons shall lay the parts of the head and the fat in order upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar in verse 9 and his inwards and take a little by little now let's go back to verse 8 verse 8 he says and the priest Aaron's sons shall lay the part of the head and the fat in order upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar so now the sacrifice is killed but I wanted to skill with a bent offering God gives specific instructions it's amazing so after it is killed the parts are divided and God says that when it's on the fire there's the wood and a fire and God even gives instruction how to lay the portions of the part of the body on the fire it's for a reason so the first part is that God says that when the parts are divided their head and the fat are divided and the body is divided and the heart should be lined aligned together so the head of the bent offering and the fat should be lined together they are together and they are bent. That's God's instruction. So the head and the fat are put together. The head and the fat. Praise God. And they are bent. Okay. Now verse 9. And his inwards and his legs shall be washed in water. And the priest shall bend all on the altar. Praise God. Then there is the intestines, the entrails. They are washed. So you put the entrails and the legs together. They are washed. Then they are bent. And sometimes you wonder why all these things are in the Bible. Now it reminds me of the Seer guys. In the evening how. I'm the only person by the way they put everything together. That was the Old Testament priesthood. I'm not happy you are in the New Testament. But the truth is that those guys enjoyed meat for hours. It was. To be a priest in the Old Testament was nice though. Do you know that they were the best? The Bible says they had the best of wine. They had the best of wheat. They had the best of oil. They had the best of everything. You want to be a priest? With the sufferings of minus persecution. So remember that all of this is speaking of Christ. Now it's speaking of Christ our identity. Okay. The bent offering. The sin offering describes Christ as our sin offering. He took our sin. But with the bent offering it describes Christ as our righteousness. Because it describes his devotion and his consecration to God. His loveliness. And all that he is with us. It was put into our account. Hallelujah. Because all the good he did was put into our account. And God gave us A+. Meanwhile we had done no exam. He passed and it was reckoned into our account. The way Adam failed and it was reckoned into our account. You know. We were born to inherit failure. The thing was already in our account. Negatives. But we are born again to inherit. All that Christ did. So the head and the fat. Now the head speaks of his intelligence. His knowledge. His wisdom. Now the head speaks of Christ's knowledge of the will of God. Christ was a man who was filled with God's will. He knew God's mind. He knew God's will. He had the knowledge of God. Then said I. Lo, I come to do thy will. He knew the will of the Father. So the head speaks of his intelligence. His wisdom. His knowledge. And his acknowledgement of God's will. Praise God. But the head was lined. Put together with the fat. You know the fat is what was bent to produce energy. When the fat is bent energy is produced. The fat speaks of inward energy and strength. Inward energy and strength. Now it's describing something unique. Who Jesus actually is. Do you know that there are people. Now our failures are that. A lot of times we know what to do. But we don't have the strength to carry it out. You know. You know what to do. You may have the knowledge of how to do this right. How to do this right. But the strength to carry it out is a challenge. So in Romans 7 there is an indictment against us. Because of the flesh. Those who walk. Walking by the flesh. He says to will is present with me. But how to perform that which is good I find not. So we know what to do. But how to carry it out is the problem. You are on your bed. You know you have to pray. But the body rising from the bed. And starting to pray is the problem. Especially when you want to evangelize. It's even more difficult than praying. So you know the will of God. But how to carry it out. So Apostle Paul said. I find then a law. That when I will do good. Evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of God. After my inward mind. But I see another law in my members. Worrying against the law of my mind. And bringing me into the captivity of the law of sin. Which is in my members. Oh wretched man that I am. Which shall deliver me from the body of this death. So he found the law. I want to do the good. But I can't. That is a grand indictment against humanity. Humanity fell short. But there is one exception. With Jesus. Whatever he knew. Is God's will. He had the inward energy and strength. To carry it. It out. Okay. So that was put together. For a reason. The next verse. So the next verse. We see the entrails. Which was put together with what? The legs. And they were washed with water. Washed with water speaks of. Now what are the entrails? Your inward part. Intestines. What do they symbolize? Now in the Bible. In Hebrew. The same word for. Kidney. Is the same word for the mind. The word for abdomen. Is the same word for your emotions. So actually the entrails. Or the inward part. Speaks of your affections. Your intentions. Your emotions. Your feelings. Telling us that. The feelings. The emotions. And the intentions of Christ. Are pure. Washed with water. They are pure. Praise God. So they are put on the fire. But they are put. Together with the legs. You see. Legs speaks of. Action. Action. Ability to do something. So why were they put together? You know that sometimes. Have you ever been to a place where. You see someone going through difficulty. Financial difficulty. You have a lot of compassion for the person. But how? You know. Compassion. Compassion to help. But how to carry the action. Of helping the person. Charlie. It's not there. So normally we don't have that matching. We don't have our entrails matching with our legs. We are inadequate in this area. But with Jesus. He was so perfect. Have you ever come to a place where you see someone who is so sick. You have all the compassions. But you can't do anything. It's very very. You can't do anything about it. In your capacity. You have prayed. You have declared. You have confessed. You have given communion. You've laid hands. The person too is in pain. You don't even know what to do. But you love the person. But with Jesus. The two were put together. A leper came to Jesus and said. If you are willing. Make me whole. He knew Jesus had a power. But he was questioning whether he is really willing. Because of leprosy you were a social outcast. Put elsewhere and all the laws against leprosy. But Jesus said. I will. Jesus had compassion. Yet he could heal the leper. So there are those with good intentions but no action. No action to carry out the intention. When Jesus saw the multitude. They were hungry. Five thousand. He said. I have compassion on them. If it was you and me. Would have sucked them to go home early. Would have said. Pastor Michael. He would have said goodbye. He would have said. He would have said. He would have said. We have to close the church early. You see the people. But with Jesus. He wouldn't let them go. Oh. He has compassion. He knows what to do. He has the legs to give action to his compassion. That's Jesus. And that is a lot to the father. So these were lying together. Put together. He didn't only have words. He had power to fulfill his words. That's who Jesus is. That's who he is. So they were put together. And what does the Bible say? The Bible says to be bent. To be a bent sacrifice. Now let me start again. Now in Leviticus 1. You see the word bend. In Leviticus 4. Leviticus 4 is a sin offering. The sin offering is also bent. The word bend is used for the sin offering. Then the word bend is also used for what? The bent offering. But there are two different words in the Hebrew. The word for the bending of the sin offering. Is the word seraph. It is to bend in judgment. But the word for the bending. Of what I am talking about. Is the word qatar. The spelling of the country qatar. Qatar. So. It means. It is. Sweet perfume. It is a bending. been in the front in incense is like a sweet perfume rising to God. The Bible calls that the perfume or the aroma of delight, of rest, of joy, of pleasure, of peace. So this is a wonderful burning. Burning like sweet perfume, not burning in judgment. So the burnt offering doesn't deal with our sins. The sin offering deals with our sins. So that was burnt in judgment. So what does this actually mean? So remember what we did. So the sacrifice is divided on the altar, the head and the fat, the entrails and the legs, and they are burnt. And when they are burnt, the incense rises up towards heaven. And the father smells it. You know what the father is smelling? Sweet perfume. Oh, the obedience of my son. You know, the father is just smelling the sweet perfume, the obedience of my son. Oh, his intimacy of mercy. Oh, his preciousness. Oh, his life. Oh, his obedience. Oh, his consecration. He's just smelling his son. He's just smelling. He's smelling. But you know what is happening? In the burnt offering, whatever is going up is put into the account of the offerer. It's put into your account. Praise the Lord. So in Ephesians chapter five, look at Ephesians five. Verse two. And walk in love as Christ also has loved us and has given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savor. It's for us on our behalf. The word for us, other versions actually says he gave himself as a sweet-smelling savor on your behalf. Praise God. So it is put into your account. All of this is put into your account so that now the Bible says we are on to God. A sweet aroma of Christ because it is put into your account as though it is you. Praise God. Second Corinthians chapter two, verse fifteen. So you have, you have become that sweet aroma because what happened? Now, because Hans were laid on him, the Bible says that it shall be favorably accepted for him. Leviticus one, verse three, it shall be accepted for him. So whatever is happening is accepted for him because it is done for him. It is done in his name. Hallelujah. So what is happening today is that if a believer is coming to God, the father, we have become a sweet aroma. Now, when the high priest was going to the holiest of holies, he goes with the sense with spices, galbanum or nature, static spices. So he goes in the incense. All these spices is the armor of Christ. So when he starts in the holiest of holies, the father doesn't it's like he is covered with the smoke. What the father smells is a perfume of his son. Oh my son. Oh Jesus. My son, his obedience, his glory, his consecration. So the high priest is just lost in the incense. Today we are that perfume. Whoever Christ is, his spirit, is put into our account because in the burnt offering it is accepted for us. It's our favorable acceptance. So we have become the sweet aroma. So as we go in his presence, the father, every time you stand in his presence, you remind him of his son because everything about you is his son because the glorious of his son is imputed onto you. Praise the Lord. You remind the father of his son because we are this, you are the aroma of Christ. Now I talk about perfumes. No, perfumes gives us memories. Now, if you've lived with, with, with your roommate who used a certain kind of perfume, I'm telling you that when you meet another person after some years with that same perfume, there is a remembrance. There is a, yeah. So you, you, you smell like Christ. The father smells you with the perfume of Christ. We are onto Christ, the sweet aroma. You are the sweet perfume. One version says the sweet perfume of Christ. Hallelujah. That's what we have become. First Peter chapter two, the second verse, verse six and seven. Thank you very much. So whatever Jesus is, is put into your account, his intelligence, his obedience, all of Adam's, Adam's failures were put into your account. Adam's failures were put into your spiritual account. Now all of Jesus' obedience, all of it, his legs, his entrails, his head, everything is put into your spiritual bank account. What a blessing. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord. Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture. Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect precious, and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. The next verse. Unto you, therefore, which believe he is precious. The King James didn't really render, because when you read from your Bible, some of the words are there. He is. It's not there in the original translation. The word he is, it's not there. So the King James, unto you, therefore, which believe, precious. It's not readable, but in the Greek, there is a different article there in the Greek. So the Greek actually goes this way. Unto you, therefore, which believe. Now in the previous verse, we are told that Jesus is the precious stone. Jesus is the precious stone in verse six. Then it says that, but unto you, therefore, which believe. Then it says, unto you, therefore, which believe is the preciousness. Do you have AMPC? Amplified. Okay. Thank you. To you, then, who believe, who are there to trust and rely on him is the preciousness. So verse six says, just think of Jesus as a precious stone. He's so precious. You can see the beauty, the effulgence, the splendor, the glory, all that he is. He says, once you believe, unto you, that belief, that preciousness come to you. Unto you, therefore, that belief is the preciousness. Do you understand? If you believe it, you become as precious as he is just by believing. Because when you believe, you are put into Christ. You are put in him. So his preciousness becomes your preciousness. Why? You become his righteousness. Christ becomes, your righteousness. Hallelujah. So his preciousness is now imputed into your account. If you believe, that's how precious you are before God. Do you see yourself as precious? You are princely and princessly before God. You are princely before God. You are precious before God. That's who you are. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. As he is, so are we in this world. So are we in this world. You are going somewhere. They want to refuse you. You say, as Jesus is, so am I. He cannot be refused in this condition. So I'm not going to be refused. Of course, in some places, if it's not his will, you'll be refused. Because Jesus himself was rejected by the Samaritans. You know, I have to put it right. Otherwise, because Jesus himself was rejected in many places. But I'm telling you that it really works. Because that is yours. Pastor Bexson was talking about your ID card. That is your ID card. If you have this mentality, you didn't play football with demons again. They pass you and you receive it. Why do you keep receiving the ball? Yeah. What they know is that they know you don't really know who you are in Christ. They know it. Even the way you pray shows you don't know who you are in Christ. The way you pray. You pray in fear and intimidation. And you spend a long time praying against them so that they know it. They know you don't know your authority. Aha. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But if you know it, the gentleness and your voice alone, they respect it. You say it and you mean it. Because you know it. If you are a king, you know what you have. Yeah. Have you seen a king on his throne and he's commanding a servant? Go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go. I said go, go, go, go, go, go. The servant will be shocked. What kind of king Christ is he? When did he become a king? He doesn't seem to know what he has. Hallelujah. The last picture I want to give concerning our identity in Christ is Christ is our high priest. Praise God. It's our high priest. high priest Israel's high priest were amazing and it's so beautiful Hebrews chapter 8 verse 5 Hebrews 8 verse 5 better still verse 6 but now speaking of Jesus has he obtained a more excellent ministry by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant established which was established upon better promises you see when Jesus was on earth he did ministry for three years three years to three and a half years it was effective it was wonderful praise God the ministry he did for three and a half years people have done ministry for 70 years and he doesn't call it those three years I'm telling you more effective than you know John the Baptist did ministry for six months six months of ministry John the Baptist yet Jesus said he's the greatest among all that were born of women six months of ministry yeah prepared for 30 years did ministry for six months so preparation is more important than trying to rush and run around yeah Jesus was prepared for 30 years he did ministry for three years or three and a half years and it has impacted all of time and eternity God's time is always the best when you are in the will of God and in the timing of God praise God yeah and just three and a half years of ministry but when he died and went up the Bible says he has received another ministry but the ministry has received now it's more excellent than the ministry he had when he was on earth so what has Jesus been doing for the past two thousand years he's the high priest and his ministry as the high priest is more excellent than the ministry he did on earth he says but now oh praise God so today he has had a more excellent ministry so that means what he's doing now is even far greater than what he was doing today he's touching today he's not limited as he was in the flesh in one place because he veiled his glory but today as the high priest his ministry is more excellent hallelujah but Israel's high priest the most important person in Israel was the high priest the most important person and the most important day in Israel was the day of atonement which was called Yom Kippur the most important day so you know the high priest if you see him he has 12 stones on his chest and six stones on his shoulders the six stones on each shoulder making 12 are on his shoulders and 12 stones are on his chest his shoulders speaks of his power and strength his shoulders speak his power and strength and his chest or breast speaks of his love so when he goes before God God doesn't see him as one individual God sees him as a corporate man so whatever happened to him there has happened to all Israel because he's a collective entity carrying Israel with him a picture of our high priest for him it was a picture but for high priest Israel Jesus carries us now in his heart and on his shoulders he's bearing us by his love and by his power I'm telling you each of us he's bearing us by his in his love and in his power and what excites me is that those stones were on Nick stones on the shoulder of the high priest each of them and you know in Luke 15 the lost sheep he carries and put the lost sheep on his shoulders but you know the Bible says that unto us a child is born and unto us as a son is given a child is born humanity a son is given divinity the son is not born the son is given okay and the government shall be upon his shoulders but the Hebrew doesn't say shoulders in the Hebrew language the government is universal government shall be upon one shoulder that means he's he administering the government to the universe is nothing to him but when he get when he found the lost sheep he put him on both shoulders his shoulders that's amazing the government of the world the universe is on one shoulder but he put his sheep on two shoulders you are important to him and know that you you are held by his power why do you think why do you think you are alone why do you think some miserable which somewhere can cross your path why would that change that mentality change the mentality you should know who you are in Christ change the mentality and when it goes to the holiest of holies this high priest if he's accepted now Israel's acceptance is dependent on if their high priest is good if your high priest is good and he enters the holy priest they are all outside afflicting their souls and brain if he's accepted they all accepted if he's rejected they are all rejected that's how dangerous it was so the standard of the nation was wrapped up in the standing of the high priest whatever happens to him has happened to Israel it's also part of the federal system hallelujah hallelujah so if he's accepted that whole year their sons are forgiven covered for a year aside from that they can look forward to bumper harvest deliverance from their enemies they will lend and not borrow they'll be the head and not the tail I'm telling you they will have blessings of peace of joy they will have family blessings for the whole year why because the high priest is accepted and but if the high priest is also rejected that means in the year their sins are not covered they are exposed to judgments defeat in battle no bumper crops pestilences diseases they are the tail and not the head you know evil things happen because they are not covered there is no atonement for them but all dependent on their high priest that was Israel for you so it was wild your high priest can be good but let's say one week to the day of atonement he dies his son has to take over because the high priesthood was by succession from Aaron to Elisa to finish house to Eli Eli sons are not correct we're not correct so if the son of the high priest is not correct and he dies and his son takes over that year we know he's going to die and that year it is not going to go well for us praise God Jesus our high priest entered into heaven do you know what it means I saw high priest goes that's how far you can go he's a high priest he entered he's accepted what does it mean to you you are accepted you know how if he is rejected then you are rejected but he's accepted and because it's accepted you can look forward to the lifetime of victory blessings breakthrough hallelujah that's so Jesus actually is your identity because your identity of Israel was the high priest so don't be so self-occupied yourself look at Jesus whatever he is is who you are and believe it and see yourself in it claim it confess them confess them look at Exodus 28 verse 35 Exodus to Exodus 28 verse 35 this scripture shows that the way God sees your high priest is the way God sees you now let's read from verse 36 rather thou shalt make a plate of pure gold engrave do you have a picture here can you please show us okay thou shalt make a plate of pure gold engrave it upon it like the engravings of a signet holiness to the Lord so there is a crown the high priest had to wear on it is inscription holiness unto the Lord it's a golden crown the next verse the next verse verse 37 and that shall put it on the blue lace so the gold crown with inscription holiness unto the Lord is actually on a blue lace now the high priest had to wear it to signify that his thoughts are holy so the holiness actually covers his thoughts it is written here holiness unto the Lord he had to wear it to symbolize his thoughts are holy because gold speaks of purity but the gold is also on a lace of blue blue is the heavenly color so his thoughts are not only pure his thoughts are heavenly praise God he has to put it on now it's just a representation of who Jesus is he says it doesn't need to wear any blue and any Jesus thoughts are holy and heavenly he's a type of our true high priest praise God but you know that Aaron had to wear this every day always it wasn't it wasn't a joke to be a high priest in those days This heavy garment and every day you are wearing it. The Bible says you have to wear it always. For what reason? The next verse. The next verse. It shall be upon Aaron's forehead that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things where the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts, and it shall be always upon his forehead that he, not he, that they may be accepted. As long as the thought of the high priest is holy, all Israel is accepted as long as he's wearing it. If he removes it, they are rejected. What does it mean? It says that so that they are holy gifts, when he wears it, the Bible says he bears the iniquity of the holy things. The iniquity of the holy things. Okay. What it means is that the gifts they are presenting are not holy enough. So there can be iniquity in the holy things. He's talking about your worship. Your worship, your giving, your prayer. Though they are holy things, there can be iniquity in them. Praise God. For instance, you are worshiping. Worship is. A holy thing. Well, like when the minister is singing, you are worshiping. But maybe your thoughts, as we are worshiping, your thoughts just went away. And you're just thinking about food in the house. But meanwhile, your hands were lifted. And just remember, ah, the food, why did I put it in the fridge? Because this salad, if it's not in the fridge, by the time I go home, it's full. So, wow. All that you are seeing is salad. People are thinking you are seeing glorious. So, you are presenting to God. Meanwhile, you are before the glory. And you are seeing salad. So, what you are presenting is holy. But there is iniquity in the holy things. Praise the Lord. It happens. Even if a thought runs through the mind. You know, sometimes someone can stand at the pulpit you are worshiping. And for a while, you are just thinking about the person. You are just thinking about the person's dress. It may not be always, but maybe that week you went to a boutique. And you saw the same shoe. And you didn't even have enough money to buy that shoe. So, as you saw, the music minister said, hey. And so, I watched this when you were thinking, oh, when will the Lord provide for me to buy a shoe? So, all of these thoughts. And just comes different thoughts. All of it bombard you. But the Bible says that. Do you know that as these things are happening. Why? Why the head? When it comes to acceptance, the head is the most important. Now, in Leviticus, the Bible speaks of the leper. There are laws governing leprosy. You know, in Leviticus, there are different degrees of leprosy. Representing different degrees of sin. Now, there could be leprosy in the arm. There are also leprosy in the arm. Leprosy in the hand. Leprosy in different parts of the body. There could be leprosy in the garment. There could be leprosy in the house. But the worst kind of leprosy in Leviticus is leprosy in the head. When you have leprosy in the head, it is the worst kind of leprosy. Why? Because out of your thought produce all evil actions and all bad actions. All the evil things we do, where does it produce from? From the head. So, God regards the head. As the worst kind of leprosy when you are leprosy in the head. So, that is where all deviant sins, all sins come from. The head. So, now God has to protect the head. So, it says that high priest should wear a holy crown. So, when you are worshipping and doing all those things and all those thoughts are flashing in your mind. God is not judging your thoughts. He is looking at your high priest. If his thoughts are holy, you are accepted. Because God sees your. You know how God sees you? By the way, he sees your high priest. Because he sees your high priest, his thoughts are holy. Because he is your head, the federal head. He sees that it shall always be on his head. That is the Old Testament. It shall always be. So, God is just seeing holy thoughts, heavenly thoughts, pure thoughts. By that, he, by wearing it, is bearing the iniquity of the holy things that they may be accepted. So, your acceptance is based on what your high priest is wearing. Whether his thoughts are pure. Today, we have a heavenly high priest whose thoughts are pure. Whose thoughts are golden. Whose thoughts are holy. And I'm telling you, as I'm worshipping, all the thoughts are running through your head. You don't have to worry and cry and beg. No, continue worshipping. Because your heavenly high priest is bearing all the iniquities of the holy things. Hallelujah. Yeah. Ignore them and continue worshipping. If you ignore them, they will lose their power. Just ignore them. When they come through your head, just smile. They don't have power over you. No matter the thoughts. Just smile. God is not looking at your thoughts to judge you. God is looking at your high priest. Because he is. He is bearing and he is wearing the gold. His thoughts are golden. And he is bearing the iniquity of the holy things. That they may be accepted. If it was true for Israel. How much more we. We are under a better covenant. Established upon better promises. We have a high mediator. Who took his blood. Not the blood of bulls and of goats. But by his own blood. He entered in once into the holy place. Having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats. And the ashes of an hypha. Sprinkling the unclean. Sanctified unto the purifying of the flesh. How much more shall the blood of Christ. Who through the eternal spirit. Offered himself without spot unto God. Purge your consciences from dead works. So does he see us. How do you see yourself? See yourself as God sees you. As he is. As he is strong. So am I. As he is healthy. So am I. As he is beautiful. So am I. As he is over principalities and powers. So am I. As he is exalted. So am I. God didn't just exalt him. When he was exalted. I was exalted. And has raised us up together. And made us sit together. Because who he is. Who am I. His exaltation is my exaltation. Is he beyond powers and dominions and thrones and principalities. Is he beyond them. I am beyond them. He is my real identity. My substitute became my identity. Christ cannot be defeated. I cannot be defeated. If he cannot be defeated. Who he is. Is who am I. As we behold him. We become it. We are complete in him. As is of the heavenly. Such are they that are heavenly. And as is of the earthy. Such are they that are earthy. And as we have borne the image of the earthy. We also bear the image of the heavenly. Robros.

Podcast Summary

Key Points:

  1. Man's attempt to cover his own sin through good works and effort is symbolized by Adam and Eve's fig leaves, which God rejected in favor of a sacrifice He Himself provided.
  2. God's justice demands death for sin, so He established substitutionary sacrifice from the beginning of creation, foreshadowing Jesus Christ as the ultimate substitute.
  3. In the sin offering, the offerer's hands are laid on the sacrifice, transferring sin to an innocent victim so that God sees the offerer as having died and paid the penalty.
  4. The burnt offering differs from the sin offering
  5. The head and fat of the burnt offering represent Christ's knowledge of God's will joined with His inward strength to carry it out, while the entrails and legs represent His pure affections joined with His ability to act.
  6. The Hebrew word for the burnt offering's burning means sweet perfume, signifying that Christ's obedience rises to the Father as a pleasing aroma accepted on the believer's behalf.
  7. The Father is satisfied with Christ's payment in an excessive, continuous way, described in the imperfect tense, meaning He remains perpetually satisfied whenever He sees the believer.
  8. Under federal headship, believers are identified with Christ

Summary:

FAQs

Fig leaves represent man's attempt to cover his own sin through good works, religion, or personal effort. God showed that only He can provide a true covering for sin.

Animal sacrifice was a prophetic foreshadowing of Jesus Christ, the ultimate substitute who would take the penalty for mankind's sin. It demonstrated that sin demands death and that God alone provides atonement.

In the sin offering, the offerer's sins were imputed to the sacrifice, which bore judgment. In the burnt offering, the sacrifice's worthiness, obedience, and consecration were imputed to the offerer as a sweet aroma to God.

Christ took our place, receiving the judgment and death we deserved, so that we could go free. His death was counted as our death, satisfying God's justice completely.

Jesus paid in excess of what we owed, bearing infinite value and eternal worth. The Father is continuously satisfied because the payment was more than enough for all our sins.

Because believers are in Christ, His exaltation and position at God's right hand are credited to us. As He is, so are we in this world—accepted, victorious, and complete in Him.
