Hello my dolls! Welcome back to the busy yet pretty podcast. I'm your host, Jaden Haley.
I'm very excited for today's episode, so without further ado, let's get into today's weekly review.
This week, I've been really just trying to rest and recharge, which I feel you should as well.
We should all rest and recharge because I promise you that will make you 10 times more productive.
I've also been doing a food cleanse for three weeks, and it's a cleanse with food. I love
pressed juices, but I'm just not one who loves a juice cleanse where there's no food involved.
I'm doing my first ever cleanse, but it includes three full meals, which I love. All the food has
tasted so divine, it's so fresh, and it just makes me feel so good. Another thing this week is I've
just been getting back on routine, and you guys know the feeling when you get back on routine.
It feels like life is just getting back in order and it feels so good. It's like the feeling of
when you come back from vacation and you just get all your dirty laundry and put it straight to your
laundry basket. Just that feeling of just having a reset and a restart feels just so refreshing.
Lastly this week, I actually dyed my hair darker. It looks so good. I'm so happy how it came out.
I am such a box hair dye girl. My mom actually did my hair this time, but guys, I'm telling you,
do not sleep on boxed hair dyes. I've been also doing my platinum streaks from box hair dyes for
years, literally since freshman year of high school, and the amount of money I saved from not
going to a hair salon to get it done is crazy. Moving on to my current obsession. My current
obsession right now is gold and two-toned watches. I just love jewelry and gold and silver together
as a two-toned watch is just so beautiful. I am someone who loves a good deal. I got this watch
from Target. It was literally $20 and not gonna lie. It's my obsession right now. It's so cute.
Honestly, love a good deal. Another current obsession is planning for the holidays. Guys,
I'm gonna get my tree out really soon. I'm so excited. Maybe I'm speaking on this a little too
early, but I'm just so excited for the holiday season. That is just my prime time happiness.
My last current obsession is fall cafe music. I just love listening to jazz music. I'll just
search up cafe fall music on YouTube and it comes up a cute little live stream of cafe music and I
just love it and it's so relaxing. Whenever I work from home, I swear I work so much better at cafes.
So what I like to do is I'll put on cafe music and it just makes me work so much more productive.
Moving on to the goal of the week. My goal of the week is to slowly get back onto my workout routine.
I have not worked out for over a month because of me going in and out of the hospital from my chest
and I just really want to take things slow, but now I'm feeling a lot better and I just
want to get back onto feeling good and active. We should always incorporate movement into our day,
not only for our physical health, but for our mental health. Another goal of the week is to
begin my Christmas list. Honestly, I'm someone who doesn't need anything. I'm just so content
and happy with my life. All I want is to see my family for the holidays and just spend time together
and be happy and positive, nothing else, but of course I do have a little wish list. So I do
want to kind of jot things down that I'm wanting for the holidays because I cannot lie. It's always
fun to have a little wish list. My last goal of the week is to plan a clothing sale. I just have
so much extra stuff and with the new year rolling around, I want new wardrobe and that means cycling
out some of my old wardrobe. So if you have anything but you don't like anymore, I really encourage you
to list it on a resale app, donate it, do something to cycle it out to allow new things to come in.
Now for an affirmation. I am worthy of everything that I desire. I love that so much. It is so good
to affirm that to yourself. Moving on to a self-love question. What is a challenge I overcame
and became stronger from? I love that question so much and I really want you to ask yourself
that question and journal it. Moving on to the challenge of the week. Close your eyes and take
three deep breaths when you feel overwhelmed. I really love that challenge because it's so easy
for us to get overwhelmed and just frustrated or nervous or stressed out and we let it build
up until our emotions just overflow and it's really good to just pause, take three deep breaths
and realize that everything is going to work out. You are okay. This is just a little hard
point right now but I promise you it will pass. Lastly is a podcast review. This review is from
Clover and she titled her review "Changed My Life." The busy yet pretty podcast literally changed my
life. Almost two years ago I was going through a breakup from a super toxic relationship. I looked
around and I realized I had no hobbies, barely any friends, a bad relationship with my family,
and even worse a bad relationship with myself. I decided I needed to start my self-love journey.
I found busy yet pretty on Pinterest and it changed my life. Because of Jayden, I was able to change
my mindset, romanticize my life, become best friends with my mom again, have tons of real friends,
be in a super healthy relationship, and trust God more. I've become my own dream girl and I couldn't
be happier. I listen to the podcast every Monday morning while I feed my horses. Thank you Jayden,
love you. Clover, I am so beyond speechless. First of all, I'm so proud of you. The fact that you
noticed and realized and acknowledged that you had bad relationships around you but not only that
within yourself and you took action and you were the one who decided to take those steps to healing
your relationship with yourself which actually helped heal your relationships with other people.
And it's amazing to see how you said that you let go of things and so much more things
were drawn to you in your life that was meant for you. Thank you so much for your kind review. I
appreciate it so beyond much. If you want to be featured on next week's episode please feel free
to leave a podcast review over Apple Podcast. Now it's time for today's episode. You need to realize
that the cost of procrastination is a life that you could have lived and I really wanted to think
about those words and don't let them pass you. Really think about that. That the cost of procrastination
is a life that you could have lived. We take life and time for granted every single day. We really
do and you don't realize how easy it is to actually waste time until you look back and see how much
time you've wasted. Procrastination is the thief of time. It is so common for us humans to want to
take the easy way out from achieving our goals or let alone completing everyday tasks. We could be
going throughout our day and then we simply in our head can decide I'm not gonna clean the dishes
today. I'm not gonna do my homework today. It's too hard. Look how easy it is to not put time
into something. Do you know how many opportunities that passed you up because you decided not to
put the work into something? Let me just say if you're procrastinating simple everyday life task
you will never be able to achieve your goals and without doubt you will not be able to achieve
your dream life. Why am I saying this you may ask is because don't expect to procrastinate cleaning
your room, cleaning your house, procrastinating grocery shopping, your school work, doing the
dishes but then expect to not procrastinate your goals. That's that's not how it works okay. How
do you expect to become a doctor and not run into difficulties? Being a doctor is a hard job okay.
You are going to run into difficulties. How are you even gonna get to the stage of being a doctor?
Yet you don't even want to take time to study to become a certified doctor. The first thing that
you need to realize is with life there will never be a smooth way up. Whether that's for your career,
your relationship or your dream lifestyle whatever you're aiming for it will never be a smooth way
up. Without doubt the road to success with everything in life comes with obstacles. Imagine
you're doing your dishes and the goal is to get the dishes done but all of a sudden you realize
that your dishwasher is broken and now you don't know what to do. Are you going to put your dirty
dishes to the side and avoid the task and go to bed? No you have to take steps to trying to figure
out how to fix this problem. Tackle the problem and tackle the obstacle when it's in front of you.
Every single minute that you put something off is going to make it 10 times harder. Like I said
everything in your life whether it's career relationships anything it's going to come with
obstacles but what are you gonna do when you run into an obstacle? Are you gonna put all your progress
to the side when things get hard? No when you are presented with a task or a job that you need to
complete start right then and there okay? Even if that means working on it for just a few minutes
but that got you 1% closer to finishing then that was some progress okay? 1% of progress is better than
zero. You will always put things off and procrastinate things in your life that you don't want to do
because they aren't fun or it's not exciting or you just don't want to do it but here's the harsh
truth you either start now and don't waste any time or waste the precious time in your life
thinking about how you don't want to do that task but eventually you actually have to do it anyways.
Nobody is forcing you to do anything in life genuinely even if that's your homework okay?
So what if you come to school with your homework not done your teacher is not going to hurt you if
you come to school with your homework not done but you're not doing your homework to please a teacher
okay? You're doing your homework for you. Everything you do in life is for you in the end of the day.
If a student doesn't want to put time into working that's not hurting the teacher that's only hurting
yourself. Stop taking the easy way out okay? You're not hurting anyone in your life but yourself when
you don't put time into working to things. The best way to get something done is to begin. With the
weather getting gloomier I just love baking and cooking at fall foods but I am not very confident
in my baking skills. This year I have one goal for the holiday season and it's literally just
sharpening up my baking skills. A day before a family gathering I will literally just cook
something new or bake something new that I've never done before. It's either the best thing I've
ever tasted or it comes out being terrible so I began taking baking lessons from masterclass and
let me tell you have made me so much more confident in my baking skills for this holiday season.
This fall learn from the best to become your best with masterclass from leadership to negotiating
to creating to cooking. They literally have it all. It's like masterclass instructors are your own
personal mentor. How much would it cost to take one-on-one classes with the world's best? Easily
tens of thousands of dollars but with masterclass the annual membership is ten dollars a month.
Memberships start at $120 a year for limited access to one-on-one classes with all 180 masterclass
instructors. There's over 180 classes to pick from with new classes added every month like baking
which helped me sharpen my skills for the holiday season. Trust me if I love masterclass you will
too and right now our listeners get an additional 15% off an annual membership at masterclass.com/busy.

become your best with masterclass. A lot of us will sometimes put time to thinking how are we
able to not have to do this task? How can I avoid doing this? But guess what? You have to do it
anyways so just start. That time you took wasting and procrastinating could have brought you so much
more progress in achieving that task. It's officially time for you to break the unhealthy habit of
procrastinating. Your dishes are not going to clean itself. Your homework is not going to
complete it itself. You have to do it so do it. Having the mentality of just starting will allow
you to have so much of an easier time achieving your goals in life because you know that the first
step is starting. Everything is easier when you just start. Procrastination will take you
absolutely nowhere in life except actually it'll make you really sad. What I mean by that is when
you procrastinate something and you put it to the side that time that you're procrastinating you're
not even able to enjoy what you're doing because in the back of your mind you're thinking of what
you need to do. When you procrastinate you're also postponing your happiness. You're unable to be
fully present because in the back of your mind you're still thinking you have to complete that
task. You are guilty of this. I am guilty of this. We all are guilty of procrastination okay. I love
this. I saw this quote and it's so true but nothing is more fatiguing as the internal hanging of an
uncompleted task. I'm going to repeat that because it is so good and so true but nothing is so fatiguing
as the internal hanging of an uncompleted task. You will never be able to fully live in the present
or feel happy when in the back of your mind there's something that has to get done. We love excuses.
It's literally second nature for us to put an excuse on everything why we don't have to do it
so we can avoid doing it. But this is your reminder that excuses make today easy but tomorrow harder.
But on the other hand discipline makes today hard but tomorrow easier. Some days of course you'll be
more productive than others and more energized. We all have those productive moments spurts whether
it's in the morning or the evenings but when you have that extra time and that energy use that time
to work ahead. I promise you your future self will thank you so much if you work ahead. That being
said always have an 80/20 lifestyle where you allow time to rest and recharge. If you give time for
yourself to rest you will be able to work harder. But let's say that you wake up and you don't want
to do anything at all. You're just not in the mood to work or do anything. You can't just not work
okay you can't just not do everything and put everything aside. Remember you can't get much
done in life if you only work the days you feel good. You will miss out on so much important
opportunities if you always procrastinate and put things to the side. Do you think your favorite actor
procrastinated their way in life? No. If they procrastinated their audition tape they wouldn't
have booked that role. Whether you're procrastinating starting your business or completing your school
work let me just say you will not be able to get that end goal if you don't start now. Procrastination
will take you literally nowhere. And if you're procrastinating every day little task how in
the world do you expect to live your dream life and achieve your goals? You should expect the energy
that you put in. Don't expect a dream life for yourself if you're not putting the energy in
in the time and effort into it. Procrastination is the grave in which opportunities are buried.
You have so much potential in your life you are just someone who's full of potential and you truly
can live any life that you desire to have so take this opportunity of being the creator of your life
and actually start and don't procrastinate. You have to remember life is all in your hands and
it's up to you to put in the action. I love you guys so much and I really hope you enjoyed this
episode as much as I did recording it. I feel procrastination is something that we all have
struggled with at one point in our life or maybe we are all struggling with it now. So this is your
reminder to stop procrastinating. If you loved today's episode please leave a podcast review
over apple podcast and I'd love to share it over next week's episode. Please also share this episode
over your story on Instagram or on TikTok and at the end of the week I always choose one of you
to send a gift card to for a little drink on me. I am so beyond proud of you guys. You truly have
no clue how far you can go in life and I just am so excited to see the beautiful life ahead for you
all. I love you all so much. The future depends on what you do today and do not forget to stay
I'm way up busy, I'm pretty, mwah.
