Shaman, what's been going on in your life? You've been going to the races most weeks, I believe? Yep, yeah. I try and make it most weeks during the carnival. It's been really good. The race has been great. Good horse is a back. Thankfully, picking a few winners. So, yeah, I can't really complain too much. And you are a yard man. You like to look at him before they go out to race. Do you sort of keep a booklet or a note? Or is everything stored mentally? No, I have some notes and stuff. They usually just stored away on my iPad. Yeah, I've tried to pick up a few tips from the people that you meet in and around racing and see if you can find an edge. It's nothing major that I contribute towards trying to find a winner, but it's just something fun, something new, keeps it fresh. So, yeah, and you'd be silly not to listen to some people that have been around for as long as you've been alive. Yep, absolutely. Nick, I will come to you now, mate. One of the great weekends is just past and Easter weekend. And unfortunately, that wasn't that small. More history. More history at Central Park. Yeah, now it was fantastic. Obviously, you were up there flying the flag for us, but, yeah, happy to say that. Definitely won't be missing stall again next year. So, that's something to really look forward to. Because people that have been to stall at Easter will happily be actually one of the best weekends of the year. And, yeah, phenomenal. Wish I was there, Shikari. What a performance. Back to back years, the back markers of one at the stall. Yeah, not often you see the best athlete, human or equine winner handicap race. So, it's always good when that happens. Right, yeah, whether it was good. Outside, outside, Kathy Freeman, that's probably the biggest moment at stall. From an athlete on a world stage point of view, yeah, absolutely. Obviously like Bri, last year was good for the Australians and a lot of people that know her, but talking about world class athletes, like she's one of the fastest women in the world. Shikari, Shikari Richardson. So, yeah, on a, I've got a world stage of athletics. Absolutely, that would probably rival, Kathy winning at stall, 100 missing. Yeah. And someone who used to be good at athletics, now he just sits in his basement and backs winners his will Alfred. And will you win two for two today at sale? And you're really declared one and it got the job done. It ended up getting backed in from better than even money to $1.35 with one scratching. Oh, the scratching was the second favorite. So, that kind of helps. But, no, that was, yeah, it was a handy day at sale. It was all as good as $1.70 into $1.35 today. Power Scratchings was a go. Yeah, well, it was, um, I saw that one Rosetta. It's improved since it's gone to race. Good win. So, that's not, it was a good win and, um, I always, I almost half think we've maybe got a little bit lucky with the second part coming out because it didn't win quite as well. And hoped, but, yeah, it was a win. Windsor win, pockets of full, quick little chat about last week. We've got to start with the exceptional performance of Sheezer Alibi in the Donkaster Mildjay Shamu would have been there. What did you make of it? She just went from second last to first within about 50 meters. That was unbelievable. She put in the fastest last 200 and there was a group on 1200 meter race on the day. So, that says it all. She was eased down 50 meters before the line and, but nothing could get near her. I feel, I don't really feel bad for her, but she has had good of a horse all in boy years. He's put a gap on the rest of the field and he's been left in a different postcode to the winner. She's unbelievable. She's just a freak. I don't think she was as good as she was in the two runs in Man Week that have seen us just been like, yeah, just different level. Yeah. She made our autumn boy look silly yet again. And, you know, he's gone in one that rose and will give you sense. An exceptional performance. Well, Moe Fellows and she's probably going to be. Moe sort of said it. She's probably going to be like $1.50 in a golden eagle. Oh, that's probably over. If you're telling me we're going to get better than even better than even money. She's that level I can't even rise you in every worst day. Well, I'm going to start digging up some cans in the backyard because fair didn't go. They're not on the same day. Yeah, but I think it's a week after. No, well, I think it's a one they can start the bit can start then and they can just borrow it for seven days. Then pay it. And play it. Yeah, that's it might be a couple weeks. Well, I've already made the statement. She's getting inked up. She's going on. She's going with crying on the leg. She deserves it. #She's home is going on the leg. Geez, I could never do that. Well, what did you make of the filly? She's very good. I wish I wish that. Autumn glow was there because I don't know. I think maybe it would have been a race. She might have got it, but. Would have loved to set the sort of saying that. I think you would have got it. You don't reckon autumn. I really got shades. I don't think what I'm going would have won. No, no way. No, I don't. No, not the way she would have had to run like a freakish number to bet a with 56. She's a hell. Yeah. I don't know. Maybe a good race. I wish you backed up. And you know what the best part about all this is. The owner gives everyone hope. He's not a bloke that's flush with cash. He backed himself. He spent $10,000 in water on the English digital sales away. He's been a bloke from North Queensland has now got a horse has changed his life. It wasn't a bloke that's a millionaire massive breeder like Missara or any of them. This gives everyone hope. And that's the best part of it racing. Doesn't matter how much money you've got. A little bit of luck goes you way. That's the funny thing. The autumn glow and. She's out of my diametrically opposed one. One was the top lock at the Ealing Salon. Yeah. She was otherwise bought for $10,000 and they're both ready the exact same. So. Okay. The problem is like how many times we actually going to get to see these horses race and that's the that's the big issue in racing. Like imagine imagine two years time autumn blows being retired. You know. And we've got to see these two great fillings. race once or twice. That is just an absolute, it's appalling for the sport and it's a massive possibility because they will go to the Golden Eagle and it's a great financial decision to go to the Golden Eagle. What's it worth? Like 15 million or something stupid like that? I think it's 10. So I think 10, 10. So it is the most obvious thing to do. You can't begrudge it. It's worth double the cost. Of course not. I'm not from a connection's point of view. It'll be stupid to go to the Cox play. But they shouldn't have the option. They should be forced into going to the Cox play. I can just imagine Kaland again comes down. Which I think is a massive possibility by the way. Kaland again, she's an alibi and autumn glow. That'd be the biggest race Australia's just never had. And you're going to have some really good horses that would also be in the race and would be massive embedding. Like Sir Daley is proud of yours. Who's going to be coming off a cool fill cut Melbourne Cup. You know, Aliana, you're going to have all these other super star horses like it's would be one hell of a race. It would be. Unfortunately, we won't be seeing that. We won't be seeing that at least this spring anyway. Jay shared some other thoughts on other group on is on the group one winners on the day. Campier any de Italia, green spaces got the job done in the Darby. Thank God. God bless his cotton socks. I should say and Jolly star. Surprise me. I didn't think she'd win that in the soft seven conditions, but she was good. What stuck out for you, Matt? A green spaces because I backed him. I didn't back down to. So that was always nice. But that was just like everything that you wanted to happen in that race. Just fell into place. And he still won impressively. But I don't know what he beat, but he really cares when you back. Maybe it is. It's still stands out of the intro. No, he's not. There's better candidates for an intro. That's for sure. But I'm Campier any de Italia. I thought that is what you paid Jay Mac for. That was like an unbelievable right. He just hunted up. They kind of gave him every chance to hunt up and get that spot. And that was a difference in the end. And I'm not sure other jokies would have been brave enough to push up and take the space and rely on luck in the straight. They were getting off the fence. But that was a nice win. More sort of great ride, to be honest. And yeah, Jolly star. She's such a champion. I think I didn't realize she's had so few stars for a five year old. She could arguably just be coming into a prime now. She's three out of three of these preparation. When she won that thousand guineas a couple years ago, you probably wouldn't have thought she's going to be arguably one of Australia's. She is arguably one of Australia's best friends right now. There's no doubt about that. Oh, she is. She's got she's Australia's best sprinter after Saturday. She has to be. She won't teach you. Well, Australia's best. Australia's best friend isn't going to win the arrowfield this week. She would have won the TJ. That's what I think. I think she has to have that mantle right now. They're going to focus on the Flamington with their champion sprint because there's not enough time to come back from Ascot prepare for an ever since we had a break like they tried to do with nature strip and go on. So they're going to get back set and her goals going to be Flamington because she's such a good straight horse, which I think is a good play. But no, wait, so jolly star is not going to Royal Ascot. She is, but when she comes back, they're not going to look at an ever since they're going to look at a champion sprint as a goal because it's not enough time because you don't really get a break. So yeah, I think that was. Of course, that could be going there include charme stone overpass has been talked of. I think Lady Camelot could still be in the mix for Ascot, which is an interesting one. I haven't heard about her in a long time. So as for all of us well to the to the thousand meter race, but all lies on the 1200 in my opinion. We've got to really quickly talk about the world's best sprinter and that's car enorizing. He posted a new career peak, the faster time he's ever posted, 1071 or 107.12. Of a fast lead speed, there was a thousand meter horse sitting at the tempo and he just sat in the hauen and went, "Wushka, Jay Sham, what were your thoughts about his win?" I don't think I appreciated this horse as much as I should since it came to Sydney, because goodness me, he's so fucking good. He's a freak. Also, I don't really blame them going to Ascot. It's half a bit of a cop out for jolly star, to be honest, because she avoids him in the Everest and gets the sage going to Ascot and then gets the bypass out and straight into a champion sprint. So I think that's a good business decision because he's fucking unbelievable. He does black caviar things over that trip. He just loves into a spot, picks him up, drops him and doesn't even need a whip on real horse. Yeah, unreal is right. If we see that version of him in Australia, Jay, it's going to be special, he's at Ramwick. We didn't see the best of him at Ramwick last year, but he was still able to get the job done. But if we get the best of him, look out, because it's going to be exciting. The only other piece of news I want to touch on, will you brought it up today that the $10 million Winks filly has been retired without racing at all. What do they call it again? Quinson tier or something? Yeah, or something. Quinson year. Obviously, she's probably has a couple small problems in the vets of Highlighted that, but overall, I think they're just playing the safe game. They don't want to risk it. I think what a lot of people don't understand is yes, Debbie bought her for $10 million, but we have these bloodlines and progeny and breeding. A lot of the time, the good ability isn't always thrown to the next filly. It's thrown to the next generation in line. That's where the value lies. Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Hopefully she can, we never got to see her race, but hopefully she can produce some good offspring. We're going to go to Caulfield first. We'll get the junk out of the way, because let's be honest, but this meeting could be a packet of Thursday night meeting and you probably wouldn't blink twice. The rail is out eight meters. Disgusting. Any thoughts on the track? Is it going to be fence off to spot the rail being out? I reckon it might be. Oh, what do you think? I reckon when the fence goes out at Caulfield, it tends to be those inside lines are actually not that good. Yeah. That's the sort of, yeah, that's the sort of pattern I've noticed in recent times. First race, we're going to kick off in and we'll just fly through these if we can, because we've got plenty to talk about at Rangwick Race 3 listed race. 1200 meters drumfire 320, gin twist 420, Bugsy 440. Well, drumfire has gone up favorite and I don't know if you've got any idea about this horse, John, but this is, I don't understand, what was, why look favorite? It's done nothing. You want to want to 1000 meter race at Muscle Rook and then you've got handled where it was last started at Kensington last time. I like that the horse under focus has gone on done, I think it ran third in the race, the blue door one on Saturday, but I'd be opposed to it. I think that gin twist is 1000 meter horse and probably right price, but I just thought Bugsy was very likely to improve off its first up run. I think it's going to be looking for 1200 meters and it's definitely not 1000 meter horse, that's for sure. I think it goes forward and I thought it would be in favour. I just cannot get drumfire at the price. It's crazy. I thought, do you have, have you seen that horse, John? Do you know drumfire? Yeah, Muscle Rook is a lot of trainers like sending it out there because it's a big spacious track and it's a little bit of a trip away. It's like that in Galban, they tend to like sending them out there because it's a good little trip on the float, big track, every opportunity to get a proper experience as a young horse, the night Kensington Raider. Yeah, like you said, like it was a heavy rouse day. It was on the rails and it couldn't really pick up horses That I don't think I've proven themselves so yeah, I agree with you. It's pretty surprising that it's 310 but you know silks and trainers tend to carry a penalty in the market and when it's cut the James Heron Gay waterhouse polish on it You can see why there's what amount of you'll be support, but you I agree a little bit surprising No, you'll be finding this horse at Ibswitch in 2027 All right race seven is a listed race 2400 meters. It's the Galilee series final This is one of the highlight races on the card single choice three dollars 20 from Amazake Four dollars 80 Arabian Prince 650 and dad and Dave He's ten dollars. I think he's coming back from Tasmania, but Yeah sort of thought that Amazake Should have been favorite or if not you know a lot closer to favor than what it is it would bait single choice last time. I find that Machumani is a very good trainer of horses Fresh and I think he gets them going of real early and then they they seem to Plateau and once they get deep into the preparation like I'd be surprised if single choice Was able to run a pig and there's also the fact that it's by and it's who's a I fear I remember and as he was the squib of all squibs Speedy yeah, I mean I'm pretty I'm pretty sure the second favorite in the oak spot is our bifine and so it does happen Yeah, but those are walkers so Yeah, I thought Amazake should have been Favorite there back it and then I thought royal optimism a Frankle in the you along colors could improve up to a mile and a half and I probably may even have something on I belong and Sonic vendor but quite actually can't come to that rate so I'd be against the favorite Yep, sweet All right, we move on to race 9 Three on handicapped 1200 meters. I live another day $2 and this horse certainly has some good upside But cash is no slouch goes forward $7 from Burmestar $8 regeneration $9.50 and Vivid son another daughter or progeny of the autumn sun is 11 dollars Yeah, I'll have another days in nice horse and Really nice horse and I don't think I keep improving up. I've given it to lengths extra improvement for Saturday from it's last week and it did so easy like it's probably it's a report in time I'm even surprised they're not going out of leg with it, but Yeah, there's a hundred and fifty thousand all the race so I can't begrudge them I thought that regeneration was really good for stuff. It's not a thousand meter horse at all I thought it was really good to win at the heat last 400 meters was Really nice, and I think it was hard and price I think we'll start $5 so I like I've got a Another day at 240 and I think regeneration I'll start at five six dollars So you're backing regeneration at $9 yeah, all of those two short I think a question for you when you're doing your top four In a market like this and you've got 11 other day marked favorite $2 for you But you want regeneration to be your bet if you're doing a ride up for betsy Would you still put a live another day in first place or regeneration in first place? Well, that's the thing like that's when I first started doing it like I was I was like well, I've got this horse on top so like you know you do the on top selections Yeah, but then at the end of it because the markets You know market's pretty efficient so You end up just having every single favorite as your top selection and obviously they You can still you can still have a live another day as your first election But say suggested bet can be on regeneration Yeah, I mean I mean I don't Tipping's not my Like I like riding about it and like telling people what to bet like the top four stuff just Race 10 benchmark 74 over the mile trap door $3.21 course 460 Is this nobler or noble $5.50 king of the city $9 and cash $9.50 Well, these noblers got formed through the Balmont Gangster so I can't possibly win I was Dead can on trap door in this right so I think I'll run to a pig It's caught wide last time I saw people on Twitter blowing up saying it was an awful ride But if you haven't set three wide push forward if he goes back to last the horse doesn't win If I was a great ride But you know it still affects the rating so By sitting wide so I think I think you'll run to a peak that up gets a great map and a few of these early in their preparations and Probably looking for further and I think he might be able to just Sit up on the speed and I think he I think you will You know if there's one that's gonna massively shorten on Saturday I think it's a tricky day Saturday, but if there's one that's gonna be hemorrhaged and being Right it's trap door. I have a lot of respect for first chorus as well. I believe How do you think it might play out? Um, I think the running line's gonna be in play it was pretty tough to lead I think that might still be the case come Saturday or they wouldn't it tends to dry out it does Start to favor on paces I think like lanes six to eight is probably going to be your friend um and probably just sticking off that rail because it would have chopped up quite a bit um as fan's office it was I don't think they got as wide as I thought they would last week so um Yeah, I think you'll see a few jockeys head out to those lanes and test them out early as a bit of a You know pilot test before the main races Beautiful first race going to start in race three group to Percy Sox takes 1200 meters one famously by attempted last year who goes around in the arrowfield Later in the day reaching out three dollars eight in favor from Satona glow so impressive last time four dollars 20 medicinal five dollars Shifty from screen icon nine dollars, Recheney nine dollars and Terry Bommeshall is $13 from Lumbini 15s Nicko you've got a maro value selection I believe Maro What is it? I don't know how Satona glow is going to get beat to be honest um This horse Has been excellent in its two runs today latest at Flamington um With the cut in the track I think um Being by Satona ladden It's not just going to be a wet tracker I think back on a better surface Will be no issue for it Zuck Lloyd is absolutely flying Um probably going better than We've definitely the best jockey in this race on form at the moment And he'll get this in a great spot and 1200 meters Is not a query obviously it ticked that mark last time And I can't see how it loses to reals to like four dollars is a great bet But I've I've had a crack Beautiful I like the conference jcm anything for you on the Percy sauce or any thoughts on others now official bets Yeah, look Just reaching out scared me too much to have a bet But I agree with you Satona glow is the most impressive one Um reaching out comes out of that Kenzo meeting with the the rail was just worth links So it's hard to judge when they win by that much as impressive as it was um But Satona glow was really impressive first up Rounded up the field against harryam who has a pretty strong sp In some of the group races for the Phillies um and then ticked off the 12-on-a-meter box I am with Unica I think on top of the ground it's going to be much better on Yeah, so look out All right uh race four is the midway championship and We've got last year's quenola. It's a 1400 meter race and match all day two dollars only from water bisca four sixty we we we eight dollars and buffalo eight dollars 50 No one's actually having an official play in this but I Oh If match all arts I had have drawn a better barrier. I'm a little bit concerned about 12 it might just be able to go forward but This is a rating special but this horse just runs its number continually And in this race last year was Lord of bisca who started two dollars 70 in favorit And match all arts a I think we were on it five dollars from memory and and Here was too good. He's now trained by it in the same deal me The only issue is the gate But I would love to see the market come for jaymark again Lord of biscai and if I get a price for match all arts I might be on yet again. Both of them are last start, winners J.S.M. to these horses, interest you at Adolf. - Yeah, I love the Midway races. This is my cup of tea, but every horse I went looking for has been cursed by the barriers. A lot of Biscay impressive when a last start. Just my, he does have a flat patch, so that's the doubt on him. My gelarte is the class runner, but he's drawn 12. We, we, we, I think she was the high-pawse coming into this and she's kind of plateaued a little bit, even though she was pretty sold the last time out in Stronger Company. The one I've just got to have a bet on is Octadilago. It's just more so, he beat Wee Wee in the lead up, ran week 1400, it'll tick the boxes, so you've got to have something on him, but apart from that, I mean, yeah. Matcha Latte is a class horse, absolutely. - Yep, a top price of $31 for Octadilago. So note that one down punters, and if you're taking an early quarry, make sure you get the shark it in. Race five is the first of the group ones. 2400 meters, it is the Australian oaks. Probably not one of the better additions I've ever seen, but we've got two horses at the top who look like they've got a bit of substance. I hope it wins $2.50 over from New Zealand. She ran quite well in the winery, but she was back to 2000 there. She might be looking for more ground. Profoundly $3.40 on my backup from the Andrew Knox. We know how good that setup is. Silverado $7.50 of the same story. After summer is $9.50 and classic gem is $14.00, so it was a touch disappointing last time around. J.M. will give these group ones a little bit more love. What do you think of the speed in this race? That doesn't look at a heap of it, and these two favorites might be midfield or worse. - Yeah, I think I've got long legs, stand my ground and after summer going forward. I'm not sure what happened with long legs last time. But she jumped and then just went sideways, but I expected her to boot up and stand my ground obviously lead in the winery. So there's your speed. And then yeah, I think I hope it wins and profoundly probably just gonna set a midfield or worse. Profoundly could get kind of ugly for her. I think she might be forced all the way back from that draw. But Tommy's riding out of his skull right now. So the ride that he gave her last start on Saturday was just like inch perfect. But yeah, you're right, it's the winery versus the Adrian Knox. Fun fact is Chris Waller in the last eight years, three winners all through the winery and he presents a hope he wins. She comes out of that winery on the road field track that I thought it was rarers and run or outside lead. And she was one of the more impressive runners on the day I thought of a really slow tempo, probably didn't appreciate it and was still there on the line. She had to peel four, five wide on the straight and was still coming and still running through the line. So but then you've got profoundly who was just so dominant last start. I've kind of got a bit of a feeling of like, who was my racehorse in the Darby last week's full leopard? I've got a bit of a feeling like that with profoundly. Like it was an outstanding run, hit the line well, rated well, definitely gonna have support and rightly so, but I just can't believe that. She's had to turn her. Yeah, but yeah, and she's also had to turn her invader. Like I feel like weighing her down, she's been spaying 60s in both lead ups and has been on her tail and has maintained like a two length margin the whole time. So whether that means anything with these kind of horses, I'm not too sure. I mean, they're not exposed and they're all pretty shit to be honest with you, but I think I, I hope he wins that New Zealand Darby run was awesome. I think going this way is definitely her strong suit. Getting to Renwick is a strong suit, 2400 meter tick. I think it's gonna be a little bit firmer and she's the one I've got on top. I actually think she's one of my better bets on the day, but at the moment she's 250 and I think she'll drift. I think they just has to be support for profoundly of what she did last time. Yep, I agree with you. Just off to profoundly, just off to profoundly one last week, I had seven dollars loaded in my bet slip to try and take it for this race on the back of it. And now the more I sort of look at this race, we've got barriers, we've got our hope he wins and seven and profoundly in 10. I think J-Mac will be wanting to be in front of profoundly in the run. And I think he will get a spot in front of her in the run. And I'm starting to lean back in her corner. I wonder if she just peaked on her touch a tiny bit in the winery, but as she said, she had to come wide. She had to make up a stack of ground on an unsuitable sort of race show. I think I'm going to end up coming with her. And I think profoundly, she's going from a wet track to potentially good four or a good three on the back up. I don't think that's the ideal setup. And I think she just could be a long way back. So I'm with her, hope her wins. But I wouldn't begrudge anyone if they wanted to find profoundly, Nico. Yeah, I've been pondering over this race last hour pre, us jumping on here and I agree with what J-Mac said. And I think to add to his point, last start with all the merit that was involved in that run, it was also a bridging run. Like this was a target. She was 24 back to 2000. Now she's back to 24. Yeah. The only caveat I've got, she's deep in a preparation now, but she's had a lot of racing. But Chris Waller is usually, he doesn't usually go to the World One too many times. So I think after last time, if they felt like she had enough, they probably would have put her away. But yeah, you just know that J-Mac, that guy, is going to get her in the right spot. Profound is going to have to do a lot of work. And to be honest, she's been pretty impressive the last couple of weeks, but there's got to be a genuine query whether she's going to get a mile and a half, but I find him. He was a speedy script. Like, I know greetings and everything, but it's got to be summed out, especially from last. It's going to get a dirty suck up defense, pop out at the top of the straight, and it's not going to have to run mile and a half. Like it's going to have to generally run mile and a half. And I don't think it's going to be able to. With the circuit. And I think the good track probably suits, I think the dry track might suit our hope air winds as well, because she's just got a blistering turn of foot, even in these dang trips. What will any thoughts? Classic gem was wide. Run along a little bit there. It was very good first up over the mile behind getting good feeling. Started shorter than profoundly backs up. That lane, that rides. But she got beaten up in the VRC. It was wide. Yeah, yeah, she was fine. And then after summer. Yeah, she was shocked about it. She can hold a spot, which would be massively important in these sorts of races. She was beaten for speed as they came around the turn, and then she was coming at him again. So you'd expect more pace. It would be suitable to air more ground. I mean, I hope air winds it looks like. She goes straight, straight past her, with a better turn of foot. And then after summer just sort of gets past her again. I know that's exactly what happened, but I haven't done the race as effort as I had to look at it. I definitely have after summer. Sure what she is. She'd have to be there. She was good in the OX and she's pretty much like it. She has to, she has to shorten, you'd think. Yeah, I agree with that. Race 6 is the arrow field three-year-old sprint group 2, 500 metres. If I hear one more person say this race should be a group 1 this week, I might have to be a little bit sick. I think it's a very good group 2, and it brings together a great field of cool more, but as soon as we start making restricted-age races that a group 2's group 1s, these horses are not going to go to the TJ, and they're going to avoid the older horses like the plague, and they're just going to have this softer option. So, tempted has done that even with this being a group 2, and it was to protect 10 Tires and the TJ who went like a bust at anyway. She's $1.75, she's favourite. From Grafter Burners to Top Price at $8, a slight drift. Skyhook $11, with a bit more fitness under his belt. Mahuna also $11. Baywalked is $12. Devon Knight has been backed into 13s, and Beeman is $14 from Cafe Florian $19. It's actually a great race, J.M. and her favourite drawing barrier act just makes things a little bit more interesting. Yeah, this market fucked with my head a lot, because if you went back to their last prop, you couldn't imagine the disparity in these prizes. Tempted is the interesting one, like you said, barrier 8. She's got the option. If you tell me she's gone forward, I'd agree with the market price, but there's every chance that she's forced to go back. But at Renwick, better than Rosehill, and if they're getting off the fence then it just might be the perfect spot anyway. I don't know what Baywalk is doing here, but one thing you can guarantee is he's going to set a tempo. And I think Beeman, yeah, I think so. Beeman and Mahuna should slide over. I think that's tempted to come over with them. She's not going to have to boot up. She can just jump and slide over as they come across. Mahuna on paper, she's coming out of the proper grip. runs but I think she was perfectly placed. Bay of Act don't think she's going to have the sharpness beadmen, skyhawk and cafe flurian, carbon through that Derby Monroe. I don't know if that's much good. Devil Knight comes through, was it the William Reade last night? Two starts ago, he started longer than Palaton. Now Palaton's 81 bucks and he's 17. Sorry, 13. I don't really understand why that's the case and it's from a stable that typically I think only has one sharper, unpurprep per horse so it leaves you with tempted and I think she's probably as short as I take but she's got a bit on these doesn't she? Like if he's time she's gone forward, I'm taking the $1.75 every day. I think she'll win. I took she's alibi into tempted for this week so I'm sitting nice and pretty. Barry 8 just makes things a little bit tricky but I want to give a little mention to Chad Skowfield who has been riding this horse sensationally this preparation. First up, awesome ride. Second up in the surround, perfect yet again. She didn't quite stay up the 14 hundred meters but she's still got the job done and her most recent trial is as good as I've ever seen her trial at Rose Hill. So dry track wet track doesn't matter for her. I'm keen on her. She might start a little bit longer than that. I think Dangers, Grafter Burners, I reckon if he was in the galaxy if he didn't flip at the gates and land on Zach Lloyd, Paul Zach Lloyd, after just winning a golden super. I reckon there's a huge chance he would have won that race so I'm probably going to have a little saver on him. I think $8 is a respectable price and a horse I just want to put in my quality because I've got a huge opinion of her and she was flushing through the line in the Derby Monroe. Up along the inside got chopped off for a run in the straight. I think she's better at 14 hundred meters. Her name is Cafe Florian and she's $19. So she'll be going in my quality as well. I just think she's got a stack of talent. Nico? Yeah, I'm not confident he's Chad Slender. He's written her absolute peach two steers in a row. He doesn't switch the stick late. She doesn't win last time. He's a more than capable rider. If good old for now, happy to entrust him. I'm more than happy to have him on. Yeah, absolutely no qualms from me. I think she's arguably the best sprinter in the country. I'm disappointed she didn't go to the TJ last week. I feel like she would have won. She'll pick up these and put them down and she'll win. And you'll probably hear me from Adelaide celebrating. So, uh, let's get up. Gather around and gather around Nico. Yeah, absolutely. Will, what were your thoughts on this race? I thought the market's pretty much just saying with $1.75 that she runs her over this number, which is probably not true, but do you want to back it in a bit? Like the only horse with the number that sort of compares, obviously Baywork, but he's not running at a 1200 and then Debbwood, who was third in the William Raded last start, but you know, I was talking about this before and, you know, like he did run the number and he could back him off the number, but how likely is it to easy to run it? Repair it. Probably not. Yeah. I couldn't pay me to back the favorite, but it couldn't back anything to beat her. So, yeah, fair enough. Not that I bet. Race 7 Sydney Cup, 3200 metres, handicap, group one, Mr Monaco, $6, drawn 16, Campbell Dino, $8, drawn Barry at 14, so a couple favorites drawn one. River of stars, got a carry the top weight, $9, $50 new look, $9, $50 solar Spain is $10. Machine gun Gracie, they've come for this horse. She's $15 into tens. Juja Kibo $12. Needs another win this preparation and let's deal $13. Speed here, James Hamer, there's, it's an interesting one because there's speed drawn right outside and then there's speed drawn inside as well. Yeah, those middle barriers might find things pretty tricky. Like it could easily become a bit of a sandwich at the start. So with that in mind, I didn't really look at the, I didn't really care about the map. See, like, in a way, because I couldn't really predict it. The only one I went looking for was Peakyback. I think it was pretty good run last start. It was pretty hidden as well. If she's set for this and chicken run the 3200, she was probably the only one I would have money on. River of stars is obviously the class horse, but she's so unpaced. Like, I doubt her ability to run past horses. She just needs the push. She's going to run past horses. Why does she lead? She'll be up there. I think changing, changing of the guards, probably just going to blast forward, isn't he? Yeah. I've taken I have taken an early pass on on River of stars. So she is a result for me. She's got a K-56 and a half, but once I heard Jaymak was booked, I backed her as Jay Shamshad. She is incredibly one pace. So I think she wants this to be run at a genuine tempo to bring out her staying quality. She ran second or third in a Corfield Cup and fourth in a Melbourne Cup. So she can stay, which is box number one ticked. I'll be having something on soul as well. I think he's just tracking into this beautifully. This has always been the target race. Peakyback comes through that same tanker form on. So I can't really begrudge that either. Mischengung Gracie, interesting setup. She could be one of the most talented horses in this race, but she goes only third up here. 1600, 1900 then straight to 32. Is she lacking a platform to see out this trip potentially, but she wouldn't shock me if she won. And another one I do want to have something on is Litzdeal. She's a dumb deal man. She was awesome through the line in the Roy Higgins. Very short starting price there. She ended up starting even money. And I do think she'll stay. So 51 kilos, Tyler Schiller, drawn beautifully in Barrier 7. That's the horse that I'm going to be having something on at a decent price as well. You go. Just a bit of a yacht race in the, we look at it. Oh, it's a shit race. It always is. He made an idol here. Just out of storylines, like I don't know, if you've been with Djuzi Keebo preparation, even though Willow just gets lost in Sydney, probably has got a butter up again with him. I'd like to see Mischengung Gracie win, but Jesus, he's going to be one hell of a training performative, like he goes 1700, 1900, 1900 to 2 mile. She will stay all day, but yeah, very, very interesting to see. It would be great to see Luke Cartwright get his first crew one. But yeah, I'm just going to keep going around around circles. If you're one of the on top, so she probably knew, look, Rachel Kings, a great rider of stays. That horse was pretty dominant. I thought last week. Yeah, drops in the weights. You're pretty hard to bet. The other horse that I'm, yeah. The other horse I'll put in my quality, I just can't be asked with this horse beating me is Valin King. So just while I down at 35 dollars, if he won, I'd dead set cry. So he goes in the quality. For those one who raised eight piggyback has Zakloid. He was already booked about a month ago to ride it. Obviously he rode Mr. Monaco last start. So for those wondering why he jumped off Mr. Monaco, he was already prior booked to ride piggyback. Makes sense. I thought the rivers River Star should be favorite. All right, there you go. Race 8, the coin of the turf, 16 hundred meters, group one, Lady Shenandoah, $3.90, treasured the moment, $4.00. Prior to Jenny, $4.60, idle flyer, $7, LaZura, $10, and like Lucy, $16. Oh, speed map here is very obvious. Prior to Jenny, finds the front from barrier one. And perfumous is another horse who likes to go forward. And perfumous might hold the keys to a lot of the other winning chances in this race because she might be the one tugging the field up a little bit closer to Jenny. Jay, is there any chance at all prior to Jenny drawing one? Is there any chance at all a J Mac or a D lane, try and get out of the gates faster than her and not let her get straight to the front? I think you nailed it on the head with the first horse perfumous. Prior to Jenny, barrier one is scary for her. She's not one that pings the gates. She's one that revs up. Perfumous pings the gates. If she pings out, she's belonging to the offense. Like there's every chance that she tries to get that jump start on her, get to the front, see if she can mess around with prior to Jenny a little bit. And then that's going to set this race up to be fascinating. I could talk all day about this race, but I'll stick to who I like. I think prior to Jenny will probably start a favourite. I think she just kind of has to. But that doesn't mean it's a bet. I like Idol Fly here. And she's going to have to step up a little bit. But she comes into this third up. She went down, was it Emperor's last prep? They backed her, like they'll jump on off trace back to this horse. Yeah, against a lot of these horses in the market. But she was fifth up that day. I'm not sure she'll set for that race, she'll just gone so well they sent her down and I'm going to respect the market move that day because they just said she's going to win and she ended up becoming that card horse and I think perfumous is going to take that role on this time and really set it up for the horses behind. I do can see it, I'd of fly probably will drift and probably just have to improve a link for two but I just don't see treasured the moment winning even though she'll get every chance. I've never really had big wraps on her but she's there to win. Lady Shenandoah, I just think she's 12 to 1,400. I'm not sure a blistering run mile is in her repertoire. I'd of fly as the one but I'm also going to have just a little small bit of melody again. She's an absolute sniper, comes through the call more, earmuffs off and they're just on pre-race I believe so they're the two I'm playing and just hoping perfumous can do me a little bit of a favor with part of Jenny early. I reckon she might. Melody again, 61 for those playing into the ruffies or those who do like a ruffie. So there you go. My estimation of this race, I agree. I think Prada Jenny, I'm surprised the market doesn't come for her more yet. Look, I said you couldn't win last start. I watched the replay after football and I had my hand in my head's two and through the line. I thought she won the race. Let's be honest, she looked like she did win. It was an exceptional effort. She could be as flat as a pancake off that but she is an absolute star. So it wouldn't surprise if she ran along and did her thing again. Perfumus just is not good for her in this race. Regardless, I have had a small bit on her at an early price of 750. Treasurer the moment, she's going to get her chance here as you said but every time she's been in a race with Prada Jenny, it has dulled her turn of foot. Yeah, it has dulled her turn of foot even in that four horse race in the fan. She just couldn't get to her. So it's, she's an interesting one. It's a real acid test for her. It was good to see her bounce back. Lady Shannon Doe is my on top selection and one of my better bets at the day. I think she's going a little bit better than what people's thing she is. And in the cool more, that was a fast enough run race when you had Lady of Camelot going sort of five, six links above average to the 600 in a couple of those races and she has done well or fought like above average tempo. She's never been on a tempo this fast but yet again, it's another acid test for a good horse and I think she's going a little bit better than we think. I'll do for her. She does have to lift to get to these but what I will say is she runs a very strong mile and she can run off a fast tempo. We saw perfumous set up a very fast tempo on every day last year and she's just absolutely obliterated her. So it's a great race, Nico. It is. It's a very hard race to dissect and I still don't know if I've got this right. But yeah, I, if perfumous probably was in this race, I reckon my whole view on this race would be completely different. There was no perfumous. I nearly would have just backed Jenny and just backed in that she's not going to be flat. She's an iron horse. She just cops work. She goes fast. She breaks her run-offs as hard before she breaks her own. But I just, I think I'm going to risk her. It's proven that treasuring the moment can't handle the heat of Jenny. So you obviously put a line straight through her. The two that I want are back and the one that I really want to watch. Lady Shenandoah is on top. I think she's going to get the perfect little cozy run-in. I think a mile will be okay for her. She's dying just to get a race run to suit without having inferior tracks or bad rides or bad barriers. She gets everything. She gets her day in the sun on Saturday. I'm confident she's the most likely winner. I agree with J.C.M. want to be with Idle Flyer, hot tempo that you're learning to be. He's not going to be something that's going to face her. She can handle it. Hopefully she's just a little bit. The one I really want to watch going to Queensland is number five. She's a hustler. All reports are she's going really good. I'm going to have probably have something on her just in case this is a complete pace meltdown and the actual stayer of the field comes charging home over the top. She should get a great ride from six from J.C.M. Yeah. She's probably not 100% wound up ready to go on Saturday and they might be a bit conservative with the Queensland campaign in mind. She's a very good orson of a day. I don't think she's a dower stayer by any means. The speeds in her legs and I think she can run a race too. Lady Shenandoah on top will be having something on Idle Flyer and she's a hustler but great race and could be completely wrong. Jenny could completely come out and piss it. Every race that she's in is fascinating this one will be no different. Yeah. She's a hustler goes and the quality she'll probably go for a doom and cup or a Q 22. Yeah. Will. I thought that Idle Flyer was probably the one that was set to peak. Yeah. There you go. Third up Idle Flyer. So plenty of differing opinions but it feels like Lady Shenandoah and Idle Flyer are top two. We've got ruffies in she's a hustler and melody again. Race 9, Queen Elizabeth Group 1, 2008 for age. Autumn Glow is going for 12 in a row. $1.45. This is the day that she tells us whether she is going to run 2000 meters and if she does the world is her oyster. Cox plates Royal Ascot next year you name it. So deal is $7.00 on the second line from Alliana $7.50. The buy on a 950. Linderman $27 and lighting for true man is 40s. Speed here J.M. We've got two horses that a natural go forward horses in Linderman. We also saw a Debye on a lead last start and really take off. Who do you think grabs the front out of those two? I think I've even lighting for men. Yeah. So obviously you've got those three gone forward. I've got Linderman leading and then Dubai on our kind of on his hip and light infantry man there as well. And then you've got Autumn Glow and so deli is just sitting just in behind those. I don't see how Autumn Glow is $1.40. Not to say she doesn't have the ability to justify it but there's nothing there to suggest that she should be $1.40. Is that controversial? I don't think it is. I think this time last week we're all saying she's a little bit like it looks short at $1.95 and she's still pissed in. This could be different. This is 2000 meters. Debye on our like Debye on his genuine star. He's a horse who produces a weight-frager rating of 105 every start every time he's in Australia 105 plus. Autumn Glow I think her when the barriers came out that was just the biggest tick of all time because she's going to be able to settle in the one one. Alliana I think is the big loser from the draw. She's drawn eight. She's coming here fifth up back in trip. Like what do they do with her from eight champ? Do they go all the way back or do they try and challenge the wrong? I think they're going to go back. Yeah. I don't see like there's every chance she gets posted if she goes forward and then it gets really ugly. Like you just take your medicine and go back and just ride for a bit of luck but I mean I was pretty surprised there was going to be. I thought her job was done for this prep but I agree. I think she's the big loser at all. I think just on that I think Walla wanted to put her in the paddock. This is how I'm reading it. But Denise the owner of Starthorough Reds wanted to run her $5 million race fair enough. She's flying. You run your horse. You own the horse. You pay the bills. I think with the price of autumn glow $1.45 bookies are bleeding. They've lost 11 in a row on her and they're thinking this is our chance to catch up. We're not going to give the punters a good price to find out. So that's what they're thinking. Nico, what are your thoughts? Yeah. Well, I try and look at these things from a point of view of sitting on the fence. If I was a bookmaker, I probably wouldn't be letting you on either. But obviously me being a punter, I would like a better price. But I can understand I think $1.50 fair. I think she, I don't think 2,300 meters is going to slow her down. She's got the world's best jockie on her. She's going to get a great running transit. Like she's going to be awarded every single favor in the world to run 2,000 meters. And I don't think there's a prior to Jenny here that would have made this race fascinating like a proper lung burning through his 1000 meter race. I think there's a horse here that is probably big in betting. And I'm definitely going to be playing him the place. Maybe I have something on him to win too because it was fantastic last time. They'll be eating early on her in DeBio. I took it personally last time, the disrespect to DeBio. And I was, I was nearly right. But I think I was right in what I said that he's a much better horse. Even coming here as an eight nine year old. He's a very good horse. And I saw what he did to one of our best horses a couple of years ago. And he never disappoints himself when he comes to Australia. William Haggis is not a deal. He doesn't bring him here for a haircut. When he comes to Australia, He made his business and he ran. incredible last time. He will give this, he's in this race to his eyeballs. And I think he he can be some threat. I would love to know what's going to happen with Sir Dillius because it's just the more I look at this horse, the more I'm just perplexed as to what the fox going on because he's not the horse that he was last preparation. Is he still injured? Like this can't be instructions that they're riding him like this. Like whatever happened last time riding him out the back for a turn of foot. That can't have been gazing instructions. She's not stupid. Jay Shanwee is so. I don't think he's got gate speed. He did your bar is seven of seven hour I can last start. And that was just that was just a building run. I think he's going to improve a lot. I give him my quick summation of the race. I think Autumn Glow will win. I'm hoping she comes out and absolutely pisses in. I've got to already go for results so I don't have to take the dollar for a dollar 45. If I didn't have a going for a result it would probably be a no bet race for me honestly. I don't know if I could launch in at that price but at the same time as Nico said if I was playing bookie I probably wouldn't want to give punters a dollar seven year or a dollar eighty. They are trying the market is trying to catch up with her because right now they have lost a shit ton of money from her and this is their chance to get back even potentially. The map just works out so well for Sir Dillius I think will run a belt over race from Barrier 3 if Craig can just give him a little hunt up out of the gates. I think he'll run top three and I think to buy on a will run really well as well. Linda been back on a dry track. He'll run his race but I just don't think he's good enough to match these so Autumn Glow I'm certainly with a if you're not on yet maybe maybe your same race multi autumn Glow to win or Sir Dillius to run top three or to buy on a top four. J. Sham. Yeah I think pretty in shall I think obviously the top three hopes of the only three winning chances. I don't think Alianna can win. Look to buy on a I think there's every chance he sits just off Linderman and then takes off early again. He was massive last year like he sat three wide and only got bitten by V.S. sneaking up the inside and just piling in that late sectional and getting up. He's a fucking good horse. I'll say yes I wish I took the what was it 11s and 250s last night because that was just the wrong price. I think he's a moral to come at least second. Wow you can still get $9.50. Yeah like I'm not piling into that you know I think he's a winning chance but more than place. Yeah he's a place moral. Sir Dillius here I just don't think he's got K2B and he's coming every single race in Australia has been very slow that has come out of including that was at the Turnbull last prep where he did improve over the 2000 but yeah I'm kind of like Nick I'm a little bit the jury is out a little bit on him at the moment but I'm not downing his quality I think he can definitely run a big race here. I think autumn glow if I was like pricing this race I think she's like on paper like $1.75 chance but that doesn't take into account her ability like you've got to deduct that price with her brands and whether you bring it down as low as 140 that's just not a big part of the world. Yeah like all these factors are in play. I think what he also plays the dough he is is Jammack's gonna have a plan for Sir Dillius and Jibaionna. He's racing his boat of the Mino's what they've got he's gonna position his horse perfectly to get every inch out of her but like I said I think there's every chance to buy on a text off early makes this 2000 meter race into as big of a test as he can because he's along with the engine and he's just gonna say catch me if you can and then with a squid enough to hold on I guess we'll find out but yeah I think that's a moral trifecta you can probably want out autumn glow do buy on other than Sir Dillius if for any reason they give us a place price I'll be there with cash in hand to take it for Jibaionna. I'm thinking the more I look at this race the more I really want to get involved I think it's I'm already on glow I'm thinking same race multi glowed the buy top three and I'm thinking bet 365 25% boost might get me better than even money to place might be a lick job there I can be a beauty well what are your thoughts?
