The Brutal Truth About AI, Business, and Your Future | Alpha Male 2.0

The speaker addresses concerns about AI threatening new location-independent businesses. He emphasizes that the key is to choose a niche not directly threatened by AI within the next three to four years—such as brick-and-mortar services like roofing—or, even better, one that AI assists. This provides short-term protection. For the long term, he explains that business owners must constantly pivot, changing what they sell every few years as markets and technologies evolve. He uses his own 30-year entrepreneurial journey as an example, noting he has repeatedly shifted his offerings based on customer surveys and economic trends. The speaker identifies two groups most at risk from AI: nine-to-five employees and self-employed professionals in fields like accounting or law that are directly threatened. To thrive, he recommends starting a location-independent business that offers flexibility, establishing an international backup plan (including residency and a bank account in another country), and staying informed about AI changes without obsessing over daily news. He argues that hyper-flexibility—being able to adapt quickly—is the key to surviving the current economic and technological dark age, unlike rigid employees or professionals in vulnerable niches. Ultimately, he urges immediate action to build a location-independent income and secure an international safety net.
Hi there. Welcome to the unshamed CEO podcast. I am Caleb Jones. This is where we talk about how to build your own location independent business That sets you free from your nine to five job and your collapsing Western country if you prefer the audio version of this You can go to Caleb Jones C-A-L-E-B J-O-N-E-S dot com slash podcasts. I'm on all the usual podcast platforms a Common question that I'm getting and a good question that I'm getting because a lot of questions I get are dumb questions But thank God these are good questions. I like good questions. They make me happy Is hey if I start my own location of independent business It's it's it's a number of questions at all through the same thing How long do I have to start my own location of independent business before AI takes over everything and puts us all that business or What will I do if I start my location of independent business then AI takes over everything or what will I do I start my location and then AI does this and this and this then what do I do is it even worth it to do it now blah blah blah all right complicated answer, but I have an answer Two aspects of this aspect number one and we teach this in the 90 day business builder program When you start your first location independent business and you pick your narrow-narrer niche selling either consulting or a business service to a B2B business niche, okay When you do that one of the requirements for that niche is that niche cannot be directly threatened by AI within the next three to four years or so now Some people will make the argument will all niches are threatened by AI and 30 years. Oh, we'll be okay We're not worried about 30 years from now or 20 years from now or 15 years from now. I'll cover that in a minute I will cover the long term in a minute in detail. Don't worry, okay? But for now, what we're worried about is the next three to four years Why well? Obviously you don't want to start a business Choose a niche that's making money now you start getting your 5,000 10,000 Fintilard clients You're like yeehoo you quit your job you moved to Paraguay and then two years later I AI comes along and wipes out your niche and now you can't make any money. Well, that's stupid So yes, there are various places you want to avoid anything and accounting Anything legal with rare little microscopic exception copy-writers Places like that that are threatened by AI you don't want to focus on them That would be stupid you want to focus on businesses that won't be affected by AI in the next three years or so That's why in business, but are we like you don't have to do this But we like places like you know brick and mortar type cut roofers Roofers aren't going to be affected by AI for a long long long long long long long time for example Okay, so that's piece one is to protect you from the short term of being screwed by AI is you pick a niche That will not be affected or even better even better niches that will be assisted by AI I'm in several niches that will be assisted by AI I have made a lot of money from AI and I will continue to make more because I'm in areas where AI helps me So that's even better a niche that is helped by AI. You don't do go that far a niche that is not threatened Okay, so that's the short term protection for you make sense now The next level questions. Well, what about after that? What about in three years five years ten years when AI blah blah blah blah blah blah all right Let me ask you a question and I've posed this question before I have been a self-employed business owner In October of this year, 2026 this will be my 30 year anniversary as a self-employed individual I have not had a job in 30 years. So October, 2026 will be literally my 30 year anniversary as a self-employed entrepreneur It makes me very happy Amazing thing the last time I had a job was 1996 and I was in my mid 20s and I am now double that age about turn 54 in a few days as a recording this video Let me ask you a question Do you think I am selling the same things today that I sold in 1996 in my business? No, so the things that I was selling in 1996 that set me free from my nine to five job. I'm no longer selling They don't make and a lot of those things I sold don't make any sense to sell today because why the economy changes Technology changes cultures change shit changes the one constant in life is constant change Let me ask you another question. I started my first online company in 2009 and that company as many you know It was teaching men how to do online dating and how to date multiple women all at the same time at the line cheating or drama Okay, and I started that business in 2009 and I sold ebooks and a little bit of coaching and that's all I sold Do you think I spent a lot of time selling ebooks on how to get laid with online dating and had date multiple women ebooks now? You think I let us spend a lot of time doing that today No, I sell different things today. I still talk about those topics But I don't sell the exact same stuff I was initially selling in 2009 where I went from zero to a six-figure income online with zero advertising very quickly within a year and a half just doing blogging So it worked for me back then, but it's not gonna work now because it doesn't make sense I was making a lot of money selling a certain type of course about 10 years ago today. I don't sell those types of courses. They don't sell well anymore So a night that point I'm driving at here is as a long-term business owner which you have to do in the modern era And I talked about this in great detail in my books including the unshamed man and my business books Is that you have to constantly on a semi-regular basis pivot to what you're doing every few years in your business You're gonna have to sell something different Maybe you're selling to the same customer base Maybe you're selling to a new customer base. Maybe you're selling the same one and you're adding a new customer It depends on the business depends on you depends what you're doing depends where you live Depends what sector you're in depends a lot of factors my point is 10 years from now In your business that you're starting now whatever you're selling now You will not be selling that in 10 years. I promise you you won't you will not be selling that exact same thing You might be selling something similar You might be selling it to a similar market or the same market, but it won't be the same thing. It'll be something different Why because shit changes my favorite example I use a lot of examples of this my favorite example I've used many times is my grandpa in law so my grandma Her husband my grandpa died and she remarried an old man She was an old lady. It's a long long time ago. This is back in the old late 80s early 90s this happened I think and my grandpa law was a really nice guy great guy He owned three different locations in Portland, Oregon. He owned calculator Retail and repair shops these big adding machine type calculators He had three locations and he sold these things and he repaired them Well something weird happened the 80s something came out called computers and within two years he was completely wiped out Wipe out all his locations his he was making plenty of money. He was pretty well off plenty of money within two years all three locations totally wiped out Why he didn't change with the times now in that day and he was an already an old man old men aren't very flexible We have a little discussion about that. I point is that he did not pivot Okay, and what you have to do and maybe he was at the point where he just wanted to retire anyway and I just know But he had to rely on his children to help retire or himself because he didn't have any money So every few years AI or not and that's the key point AI or not you're gonna have to pivot what you're doing You got to constantly change At least a little bit or sometimes a lot every few years and those of you who have watched my content For seven years ten years 12 years 15 years 17 years. I'm in the internet a long time have a night You've seen me do this haven't you you've seen me pivot in a different areas prior to 2020 I wasn't even discussing unchained CEO this entire brand didn't even exist five years ago six years ago Didn't exist I was only talking about dating stuff primarily Well, that's not true. It's talking about business stuff to under the alpha male 2-punnel model But I didn't have a separate brand only talk about business in five flags didn't do it I had to add that as a pivot now how did I do that? Well some of you know the story in 2020 and I do this on a semi-regular basis. I just did this two years ago I sent out emails and social media content to my audience and I said hey click this link If you do me a favor click this link take a few minutes and fill out this survey and I asked questions Like what do you want? What do you not give a shit about anymore? What are your biggest concerns? What are the biggest most important things in your life right now? What are your biggest fear points? And I've had hundreds thousands of people take those surveys and I look at what my audience of my customer base wanted and In 2020 there said the number one concern was my country fucking sucks I need to get the fuck out of here, but I don't have a location of minute independent income Unchained CEO and 9 a.d.a. Business Builder and I have made millions of dollars saying that last few years Because you guys told me what you wanted. I wasn't doing that prior to that that survey I wasn't talking about 9 a.d.a. Business Builder in 2019. I wasn't it wasn't a concern. What do you guys concerned about now? AI? So now I'm talking a lot more about that. I got more AI courses and blah Right, I pivoted again. I am
considering doing a major pivot in May. I'm considering it. I've made a decision yet, but I've been thinking about it. A major pivot and that's normal and natural and smart when you're a long-term business owner. So as AI changes the landscape and it will, radically so and horribly so, read my book Freedom Fortress. Yeah, the best case scenario is gonna go through 10 years of a lot of pain and suffering for hundreds of millions of people until AI or human beings or a combination that figured out and we come across on the other side, which we probably will. Assuming we don't kill each other, 35% chance we do that or AI kills us. Okay, go read my sub-stack from our details on that. So, absolutely we'll change things. But what happens with AI? Good and bad, you pay attention. You look at what's happening. You look at the customer base. You look at the economies. You look at people complaining about and you pivot what you sell based on what you see. And that's how you don't need to worry about AI when you have your own business and you're flexible. Who needs to worry about AI? There's two categories of people need to worry about AI. Category one, nine to five employees. You're fucked. Goodbye, sayonara, you're out of there. You're in big, big trouble if you're a goddamn nine to five and blue. You should have started your business a long time ago. I've been screaming glass for years and years and years. I mean, if you haven't done it, join nine-day business builder and we'll help you. But fucking hell. So that's risk point number one, if you're a nine to five employee. Number two, self-employed entrepreneurs and self-employed professionals in areas that are directly threatened by AI like right fucking now. Bookkeepers, accountants, most attorneys, legal aides. I mean, that's a big list. You're a big fucking trouble. And you're gonna make a month, well, that's not true. AI can't do my work right this second today. Today, in April of 2026, it can't do it. Therefore, it'll never be able to do it. And I'm perfectly safe Caleb, because I read an article, okay, you could bullshit yourself while you want your fuck to. You're just as fucked as the employees. So the idea is to get out of those two categories. Start your own location and a business, avoiding niches and industries that are directly threatened by AI within the next three years. And then, you're golden. Now, am I saying this is gonna be easy as a self-employed entrepreneur over the next 10 years with AI coming? I didn't say that. It could get really bad. It could get bad enough to even affect me with my five flags lifestyle and the money I have and the money I earn. And it could even affect me negatively. Now, I'm okay, I'm covered. I'm good to go, read Freedom Fortress. Then spiritually, I'm okay. And financially, I'm okay. And I have women in my life, well, I love very much. And I'm good to go. I'm healthy, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. All right. So, but it could even affect me. So it could get that bad. Yes, but at least as a self-employed entrepreneur whose location dependent, that's a key point. Location independent. You don't start a brick and mortar business. You don't start a location dependent business where you need to be in the physical city in order to make money. That's fucking stupid. Location independent business owner, you have ultimate flexibility, which is what you need to survive and thrive in the dark age that has arrived a few years ago and we're getting really into now. Thanks to people like Trump and Trump supporters and woke left wingers and socialists and feminists. Okay, basically everybody except libertarians. Most of them already left America. That's the answer. You don't need to like freak out about this and worry about this if you are self-employed, making money, location dependent, because you will pivot. Now, what that means is a few things. Number one is, things already talk about. You're in an niche that is not threatened by AI right this second. You are fully location independent. You do not need to be in the same physical location, physical city or region that or your clients or customers are in for you to make money. That's critical, critical, critical. Number three, this is a five flags thing. You need to have at least a backup plan. A international backup plan, which means several things. I've talked this great to you. My other books and content. There's another country where you have legal residency in that country. You've got a bank account in that country in their local currency. You've got a debit card in that country. You know one city in that country pretty well to navigate. So if you need to just jump there quickly, to move there, to escape the collapsing country that you're currently in, you can do that. You have that backup plan. You have that insurance policy. So you've got that in place. Number four, you are paying attention to the changes in the economy with AI. Now, that does not mean you watch the news every day. I don't. And I see a lot of questions on social media. Caleb, aren't you concerned about it? And it's some news story that came out the day prior that you won't even think about in two days. But you're all worried about it, because you're addicted to the goddamn news and you're addicted to swiping and you're fucking phone. I am not talking about being addicted to news every day. I'm saying you keep an ear, one ear open, to what is going on in the world of AI and how it is disrupting the economy. You're paying attention, but that doesn't mean you're doomed to scrolling news every day. I don't do that. I don't look at the news every day. I don't look at political content every day. I don't, because I don't want to get depressed. I'm focused on my mission. But I am paying attention, right? My focus is over here, but everyone's like, I glance over what's going on with AI, what's going on with the big AI companies, what's going on with layoffs, what's going on with industries are being threatened, what's going on with the new, what's going on? And I don't freak out about it, but I'm paying attention. And you have to pay attention. This is also why, by the way, I pay attention to international news, then international politics, because I have investments. I'd rather not, but I do have investments, international investments, so I got to pay a little bit of attention to these things to be a prudent investor. Same thing with being an entrepreneur. You're paying attention, not looking at the news every day on your phone and freaking out. Very, very important distinction. So it means those four things. So obviously, step one is, start your own location and pen it business with the fuck you waiting for. 90 day business builder is now $2,000. That's it. Depending on your watch of this video, and your guarantee to make $5,000, you're stupid if you don't join it, unless you already have a business. Start your own location and dependent fucking business to get your first one of three clients. Obviously, that's step one. Step two is, set up a goddamn international backup plan if you still live in the collapsing west. Now, a lot of you don't. You're my brothers and I love you. A lot of you are already in South America or Asia or here in Dubai. Wonderful. Love you guys, death. But the vast majority of you are still jerking off in America or Canada or the UK or Australia, making a bunch of bullshit excuses. Either get the fuck out, which is better or set up that international backup plan. Now you're covered. When you've got the international backup plan and your location and dependent business, now you have something that nine to five employees do not have and self-employed accountants, bookkeepers, and attorneys don't have, you have flexibility. You can now pivot and do whatever you need to. By the way, side point, one of the reasons that I've been able to survive three major recessions throughout my adult life is because I was self-employed. During the 2008 financial collapse, I had some problems because I was going through a divorce too. I had some issues and they were bad. But I was able to survive and thrive because I had my own business. I had a lot of buddies in 2008 who had jobs who got fucked. They lost their jobs, they lost their houses, they lost their cars, many lost their marriages. It was bad because they were goddamn nine to five employees because they don't have flexibility. I have said numerous times and I'm happy to say this again. I first said this in 2021. When I announced we're entering into a, hey guys, it's 2021. The entire Western world has now entered into in political, what did I say? Political, financial and economic dark age, not technological dark age, oh, and cultural. Sorry, political, economic and cultural dark age, not technological dark age, technology will still improve for better or for worse. And what did I say and I've said this many times since then? The two people who are safe in this collapsing era in which we live, two categories. Number one, men who are already very rich. That means you have, in my opinion, well beyond $10 million net worth. You've got $10 million plus. You're probably gonna be okay. No matter what happens, probably, probably. Some of you dumbasses are, that's another top of another time. I have a lot of buddies who are doing some stupid shit. And a lot of buddies are okay. So if you're already rich, that's you're probably okay. If you're not rich, it's hopefully your category too, which is those men who are hyper flexible, hyper flexible. You'll be all right. If you have a nine to five job, even if it's a remote job, are you hyper flexible in your life? No, you are the opposite of hyper flexible. If you're in a, if you're in a attorney or accountant or bookkeeper or any one of these areas, directly threatened by AI very soon and you're sitting over the arms full of saying, "Well, I read an article in my industry publication that said we're okay." And it can't do the work above it. Okay, are you hyper flexible when you make those? No, you're not. You're fucked. You've gotta get hyper flexible and that's what that means. Location and penitent income, through location and penitent niche business and your national backup plan. Both of those things. Now, I have these things this, but I have multiple companies. I have five different flags. I'm super ultra amazing, ridiculous stupid flexible. I went to the extra mile. That's why I'm pretty safe. (laughs)
No matter what happens. Are you? So instead of worrying about what happens if I start my business in AI, it's kind of like people who are fat who say, "Well, what happens if I lose all the weight?" And then I have a bunch of loose skin. That's you when you say, you're sitting there in your nine to five job with no flexibility whatsoever. AI's about to kill you. Trump is destroying your country left and right. And you're like, "Well, but what if I start a business and then AI? Start the fucking business." Using AI proof, niches, and then you pivot. That's the answer. And if you don't do this, and sadly the majority of you listening to sound like my voice won't do any of this. You'll just sit around and make excuses and say, "Oh, yeah, I should do that." Well, I'm gonna go back watching Netflix now and smoke more weed and jerk off to porn and complain about politics and complain about women. And okay, you're not gonna do any of this and you're fucked. Which is why I have no sympathy. (laughs) So if you don't do this and a lot of you won't, I'm gonna get your emails 'cause this happens every time. Oh, I saw your video and your videos in 2026 and you said, "I didn't do it and now it's 20, "and now I'm fucked, I can't pay my bills "and I don't know what I'm gonna do "and I should've listened to you." And I'm gonna get those emails 'cause I always fucking get 'em or you can get off your dumb ass and get to work and stop making excuses. Nine a day business builder. One nine nine seven, it's less than $2,000. And we guarantee $5,000. Join it and if you don't wanna join it for whatever fucking reason, then you better get to work, start that business. And then you'll be protected far more than any nine to five employee will with whatever happens with AI.

FAQs
You should start now, choosing a niche that won't be directly threatened by AI within the next three to four years. This protects you from short-term disruption.
Pick a B2B niche that isn't threatened by AI in the next few years, like brick-and-mortar services (e.g., roofers). Even better, choose a niche where AI assists you rather than replaces you.
As a long-term business owner, you must pivot every few years—selling different products or services as the economy and technology change. AI or not, constant adaptation is key.
Two groups: nine-to-five employees, and self-employed professionals in fields directly threatened by AI now, like bookkeepers, accountants, or attorneys. They lack flexibility.
Ensure your business is location-independent, pick a niche safe from AI for now, set up an international backup plan (e.g., residency in another country), and pay attention to AI trends without obsessing over daily news.
Start your own location-independent business immediately, such as through a program like the 90-day business builder. Then set up an international backup plan if you're in a collapsing Western country.
