This is an important episode. We do this at this time of year. We're going to go over the best players nobody's talking about. We do this at this time every year because I feel like there are players who take over the narratives all season. And there's guys who slip through the cracks who, when their name is at the top of the list, during a draft, you're like, nobody's really talked about this. Do I like this guy? Do I not like this guy? So we're going to talk about the best, the best, no names from the draft. And why is it called the Glanzbergs? Steven Glanzberg from Superbad. He sits alone. He's just lunch. Don't make me sit by myself with Steven fucking Glanzberg. But you know what? Steven turned out to be a lawyer. And he's having a successful career. He's laughing his way to the bank. And sometimes it's just we haven't talked about them yet, but either way, DK, I want you to start off with the player, not being discussed this year for whatever reason that right here at the buzzer you want to mention as a player worth targeting. Devonte Adams, Los Angeles Rams. Weird player did not really talk about for the last six months, especially considering who can accrue as tumultuous offseason. Good word. I genuinely don't really know what to do with Adams. I think I'm excited about him based on the price that he is right now in grass. Right now he's going as Yversey for 25, 57th overall. Some of the guys around him, Luther Burton, Terry McClarence, Darian Price, Basel Tutan, Trayvon Henderson, Jameson Williams. That's like a motley crew of high variance, potentially exciting but also scary picks. I think Adams, he's probably right now one of the better values in drafts just based on the fact that I think a lot of people think he's washed and I'm not sure that he is. And especially in this offense, we've talked about this a million times. You want every piece in this Rams offense that's going to touch the football. He's clearly one of them. If Pukin and Kool gets hurt or goes out, I think that makes Adams like potential sky high, like truly top five potential. And this is a guy that did lead the NFL last year in touchdowns. The question I have is so he had under 800 yards and 14 touchdowns, have 789 yards and 14 touchdowns. - Weird line. - He could just have 700 yards and 7 touchdowns and that's a great season but then you're kind of mad you drafted him. So that's, I think that's the question and that's why we haven't talked about him is, we haven't ranked as if he'll score a lot but not lead the NFL and therefore it's like yeah. - It's one of the weirdest outlines you look at because it's not just 700, he really had 800 yards. It's not that he had 800 yards and 14 touchdowns. He had 800 yards and 14 touchdowns and only 14 games. He only played 14 games. If he played three more he probably has like 16 touchdowns and maybe 1,000 yards. - The thing about Devonte, I took him in our ringer league. I think I thought he was a year younger than he is. That doesn't really matter. But he is 33 turning 34 in December. - Oh. - That's gross. - That's older than I thought. - That's like, I feel like the big years are Jordan year, turn 23 in your Jesus year when you're 33 and that's like when you really start to evaluate things. - Yes, like Mike Evans is 33 but he turned 33 a week ago. And I'm like wow Devonte is going to be 34 in December. - I do agree with you though, DK. There's glowing reports. He seems to be the type of player who's aging well and he does what he does well and that's it. - Right, he's always kind of. - He's never been. - He's Tim Duncan. - Right. - Removing age, his role in the offense is probably one of the most stable in fantasy. - He is, yeah, and like you said, he's never really been reliant on explosive speed or overpowering strength or anything like that. - He's just a route runner. - His footwork in his first six steps is the best of the NFL. - He must've had one of the, I didn't look this up but he must've had one of the lowest catch rates of any receiver last year in the NFL. He had 114 targets and 60 catches. - He only had 60 catches. So it's a very weird player. I sense that you don't like him as much as DK. - I, no, I just kind of glossed past him each time. - Yeah, it's just weird, yeah, it's a weird place. He had eight targets of game. He ranked 13th among all players in targets. - My issue with Devonte is among, there's just a lot of things of aging player even if you're like, oh, he's not aging that much. Well, I mean, I guess everyone ages the same every year but it's more like aging guy. The statistical decline already started in the yards is hidden by the touchdown thing. And the question honestly is, I know this sounds silly but how much were the Rams chasing the passing stuff at the goal line to get Stafford at MVP and Stafford wanted it? I know it sounds silly but like that is kind of the thing. Sometimes the Stafford just like, they kind of wanted a lot of touchdowns for him and I think Stafford had something to prove coming off the back and they were gonna trade him, don't forget. - But it's not like he didn't work. - They were the best team in the league basically. - No, but I think that if Stafford goes from throwing, what did he throw? How many touchdowns last year? And then it comes down to merely 31. There's 14 less touchdowns. That's how many Devonte had. If Devonte goes from 14 to nine, then you're probably mad he was your fourth pick. Now the flip side is maybe the ceiling's really, the floor is really high 'cause he could keep doing it. My thing though is very simple, which is I'd rather just take Terence Ferguson, who's the tight end on the Rams, who is basically kind of going undrafted depending on how big your league is. And I just love Terence Ferguson. We have not talked about him enough either. We've said our tightened sleepers this year are kind of like Mark Andrews, Johan Johnson. But Terence Ferguson is like my favorite last pick, Dark Throw. And there's like a lot of guys this year that they're like that. I wanna add three more today. But Terence Ferguson is just probably the number three receiver on the Rams. And if anything happens to Pukinikua or Devonte Adams, I think Terence Ferguson is the number two receiver on the Rams as a tight end. And that's like a crazy lucrative role. And I'm kind of just rather have Terence Ferguson. Honestly, you can add 'em off waivers when your draft ends that I have my fourth pick on Devonte. - I like the Terence Ferguson shout. I think the one other thing about Devonte, that's an ISDK is that he, it's like, if you went to bet who's gonna play more games this season, would you take the 33 almost 34 year old Devonte or his counterpart, the 24/25 year old Pukinikua? - Yeah, probably Adams. - Pukinikua played 16 games last year. It's 1700 yards, he was fantastic. And yet you're like, man, if anything were to happen to Pukinikua, I think Devonte might almost be more reliable. - Oh, you're like, who's the 34 year old guy with hamstring problems? - I'm taking him. - Devonte scored 14 touchdowns with Pukinikua, putting up 1700 yards. I'm like, maybe in another world that's actually could be better. - It does. - It feels more girls is the age reversal. You're like, oh wait, she's the mature one in the world. - Yeah. - You know what I mean? - Pukinikua lives in the blue tent. - I just like thinking of Adams, if he doesn't have 10 touchdowns this year, I'm gonna be surprised. - Yeah, that's fair. Maybe he's like my govins with, we kept saying, oh my God, my voice is going even just talking to that. - He's getting choked up. - Maybe that's a sign to move on. I think you're right. We'll have touchdowns again. Craig, who is another player that you think we're not, that nobody's talking about that is worth taking? - This is like a late in the off season thing for me that I've been thinking about more. Breeze Hall, a guy who I've had least feelings on in my time on the show. His average job position is like running back 16, 32 overall. In the drafts that I've been in, he never goes that high. He falls. It's the jets. - He's not sexy. - It's the history of Breeze Hall. It's like he had one good season a while ago and it hasn't worked out since. The team has been a disaster. - He's weirdly turned into a guy where if you take him, people kind of make fun of you about it. - Totally. - You get ribbed about it. - He's probably the best young running back behind a good ol' line in the league that nobody cares about. I think the jets are gonna have like a legitimately good offensive line. I think the way they're talking about Breeze Hall is that he's going to be the every down guy. Breeze Hall has caught 76 passes once in a season. Like he is very capable. And that is the key to kind of hitting that ceiling with running backs is you usually need to find that guy who can catch passes. So I'm like, man, the jets have been obviously so bad for so long and you're like, if this team can only just be competent. Fine, middle of the road with Gino Smith and a good offensive line. - Breeze Hall could be a great pick this year. - I like this. I have been very skeptical of Garrett Wilson and Breeze Hall, and because I'm just skeptical this Gino thing's gonna work, but I do think Gino probably is somewhere between what he was in the SEALX last year or two years ago in the series last year. - I don't think he's gonna be a total disaster like last year. - The important part also is the most jets thing that happens is not the jets being the worst team in the league and getting the first pick. The most jets thing to happen is being just good enough to play themselves out of the top five game. - Yeah, and they win seven games, so they have to use, they have three first rounders, the Colts and the Dallas first rounders. - Put them all together. - Yeah, they have to use those to trade up instead of just earning the pick. And so Gino just being good enough to play them out of the pick, but being bad enough that they don't make the playoffs is kind of where this is going. And I agree, Breeze, he's gonna be, and they have good offensive linemen on the jets. It's the best thing they have. - They've been investing in it heavily over the years. - Frank Reich, you know what I mean? - It also helps that they have the top five easiest def, easiest slate of opposing defenses. - Yeah, I'm not gonna pretend that Frank Reich is exciting, but I'm like, could Breeze Hall be a kind of off brand, Ken Walker, Chase Brown type? A guy who's doing things in the passing game, run of the ball, good offensive line. They use him all the time. - Now that you say it, other than Patrick Holmes and Gita Smith, what are the differences between the two teams? - Right, Joe Barrow, which is, yeah. - She's jets, good online. - Yeah. - Outdated play calling, guys. - Yeah. - Basically the same teams. - Yeah, it's the same thing. - Breeze Hall's 25 years old, it's all I'm saying. - I like, you're right, the Breeze Hall's a guy that just falls in the red, that's where I think you're, it's a good point. - I think he's-- - He's thinking about taking him not and then he might fall back to you. - I think he's a fantastic second running back to have on your team. - Well, we're on the jets. The other person will shout out as another like last pick. Kind of doesn't get drafted, depending on your platform that if you actually believe in the jets and believe in Gita Smith and just, even if you think they're gonna be bad, but just airing the ball out. Again, Eddie Mitchell, if you don't, if you think Garrett Wilson might be have a good year, but then he, you don't get him. Eddie Mitchell is a really talented, like great with separation receiver that the Colts gave up on and the Jets have. It wouldn't be weird to me at all, if Eddie Mitchell was like pretty competent, playing a lot for the Jets. And I think the Jets have either reason to kind of give him staff to start the year. He's talented, he's a mercurial player. But that to me is another like great dark throw, just in case it's week one. Like he's a very obvious big week one would be a huge waver's guy. And then you can move on if he doesn't play. - Yeah. - But I think he's a good, just literal last pick in any size league. - Yeah, he's a, I mean super, super discounted version of like what you're looking for with Garrett Wilson. I think Garrett Wilson is a better player. He's probably going to have more targets in their soft fence, but you have to kind of pay up a little bit for Garrett Wilson. He's going in a range where there's going to be other good players. I loved Eddie Mitchell as a dark throw late, if this offense is a lot better than we think it is going to be. It, I just keep coming back to the fact that, I think coming into this year, we thought there was going to be way more target competition in the Jets offense with them using a first round pick on Omar Cooper who hasn't really stood out in training camp from everything I've seen. And then the tight end, Ken and Citi, who hasn't, I think he's hurt and he may be like slow to kind of break into this offense. They're just kind of going into the season with, it's going to be Garrett Wilson, Eddie Mitchell, and Breeze Hall. I think they're like the big target earners in this offense. Mason Taylor, mix in. But again, like. - He's a comical amount of like the amount of, just where these guys are drafted. - I know. - Garrett Wilson was drafted so hard. - Breeze Hall. - Breeze is second rounder. - Very early second round pick, right? Breeze Hall, the, of Eddie Mitchell was, you know, decently high top. - Mason Taylor's second rounder? - Yeah, Mason, very highly drafted. Two very, very highly drafted tight ends. I'm not in the old line. It is like very invested in offense. - Yeah, Eddie Mitchell was a second rounder. - Gina Smith is a high draft pick. - Sure. - Who took him again? - I can't remember. - So weird that he's back. - It is really, really, really str. - It's really sunk in yet. - You have to really try to ignore it. - Yeah. - Should that be a mini-power hour next week is just ranking things you'll see and just kind of like, what? - What in the hell is that? - Gina Smith throwing a pass at the Jetson of regular season games. - Yeah. - TK, who's another player that you think is, nobody's talking about enough that you think could be good this year? - T Higgins for the Bengals. I don't feel like we've even really mentioned him at all. - Every year T Higgins is not bad. - He just kind of falls through the cracks, flies onto the radar. He's very consistently scores fantasy points, year in and year out. I mean, especially when burrow has been healthy, basically the last four or five years burrow's been healthy, T Higgins is going to really, you know, just score a lot of touchdowns. - You have a younger version of Devonta Adams. - He really is. I was actually going to bring that up because Adam's is sort of a discount version of T Higgins in a lot of ways because you're going to rely on T Higgins to score touchdowns. He's not a super high target rate guy. He's not going to get a ton of catches, but he hits deep passes and he catches a lot of touchdowns. - He's on the red meat. - Right. And he has every year probably like four out of the top eight catches in the NFL, you know what I mean? - In high pointing. He's so such a huge target and burrow trusts him implicitly, just going to throw it up there for him, let him come down with it. This is what I locked on to. So basically the last five years, the worst finish he had was two years, or in 2023 when burrow only played 10 games, he finished as like the YVC or 41 in points per game, but other than that, he's like a top 20 receiver, every single year in his career. YVC or 11, YVC or four, YVC or 19, YVC or 13. The important thing here is the Bengals in the last five seasons with burrow and Higgins, first and pass touchdowns, second and pass rate, third and pass the time for game, seventh and points per game and fifth and passing yards. So there is just a big pie there of fantasy points that you want to get a part of. And I think it's going to be concentrated once again, Jamar Chase is going to be obviously the number one in this offense, but there's years where T Higgins isn't really that far behind in terms of catches per game, yards per game, and touchdowns. It's funny. We used to talk about how the Cowboys were like the off-brand Bengals, and now it's almost like T Higgins is the off-brand George Pickens. Totally, totally. When it used to be the other way around. Yeah. And so T Higgins has become a overlooked guy, you don't really think too much about him, George Pickens is like Cowboy, Sexy or Bigger, it's like the same thing, and everyone's now going after George Pickens, you can just wait around and get T Higgins. T Higgins was like short hand for the best number two receiver in the NFL, and now T Higgins is the T Higgins of T Higgins. The George Pickens is the best number two. 100%. I've weirdly kind of avoided T Higgins this year. I haven't picked him in any of my drafts. I don't know why I've just kind of not focused on him, but then as I was digging into the kind of do the research today on T Higgins, I was like, I feel like I'm kind of missing out. I should have grabbed him in the start. It's all there. Once you have him on your team, maybe drafting him won't feel like anything. Week one, he's going to get three end zone targets, and you're like, "Man, this is great." Yeah. The Bengals also have the third easiest schedule, according to Warren Sharps. It's like the game totals per Vegas. Joe Borough plays all 17 games. Where T Higgins is going now and drafts will be of value. Yeah. I got him in the regular league and everyone just kind of nodded. I know. That's exactly what it's like. Oh, yeah. T Higgins. Is it your breath like solid pick? Craig, do you have another player that you think? No one's talking about, but we'll be good pick. Nobody is talking about Chris Godlin on the box. It's like, yeah. It feels like we've just moved past him. It feels like we decided that when he was 28 years old, and he dislocated his ankle, everyone's like, and that's it, his career's over. He got on that cart. And what did he say to his trainer? He was like back at Joe, back to work Joe, which was devastating. He has the dislocated ankle. He's out, misses the second half, 24. Comes back last year, plays a couple games earlier in the season, then misses a little more time. He kind of, I think he rushed himself back a little bit. Came back to close the year and was like, top 24 riders even in the league, which would be a startable receiver on your roster. He was averaging 11 fantasy points a game, and you look at what Godlin was doing before he went down in 2024. He was the number two wide receiver in fantasy, which is like crazy. He was having an insane year. He had a hundred, he was on pace for 120 catches. He's like an off-brand version of I'm on Rob. He's just catching a ton of passes. He's getting all of the easy button stuff over the middle, yeah. He's going as like the 35th wide receiver off the board, which is just like, and again, I don't think anyone's reaching for Chris Godlin. I think he'll probably fall in most drafts. And you have a buka who probably might have turf toe. You have Magellan McMillan, who's off and on with a knee injury. You have a rookie in Ted Hurst. Mike Evans is gone. If the bucks are healthy and the offensive line is healthy and Baker's healthy, Godlin I think is just sitting there as like a really solid pick. - I feel like people think Godlin is just done. - Yeah, he's 30, he's not, he's treating like he's 35. - And it's, it's fascinating. - I think it's 35, no way. - Never heard of it. - I think it's fascinating because people are treating Godlin season last year like he hit the age cliff, but it was like he was coming back for my dislocated ankle. - And he still wasn't even enough? - And then he had some compensatory injuries kind of associated with trying to come back to quickly from that, and he had to like, go back to the bench for, I was like six or seven more games after coming back in week four or five. But yeah, I mean, I feel like, they did give him a big new contract. And so like, he's still part of their plans. He's still part of the team. - That part of it also reminds me a lot of Mark Andrews, where it's a classic year after the year after guy, where we were like, oh, you weren't the same guy, and you're almost roughly 30 years old, and it's not what we remember. And then the team pays them. And the team knows a lot more than you do about the male situation. If the team thought they were falling off, they wouldn't give him an extension. - It's like Zacher. - And then it happens go. - Remember how Zacher, it's, I thought, Zacher's was done like five years before. He went on to score, be like a top 10 or top 12 tight-end, like five years. - Yeah, Zacher turned around then. - Five years after I thought he was done a week. So maybe that's something that's gonna happen here with Godlin, I like that one a lot. So, and then I know he said it, but just worth reminding. The abook, we don't know the extent of the abooka injury. And like that is like the abooka with the toe injury, like it's worth reminding. Sprained toe could be toe, turf toe could be a sprained toe, but I know we've talked about, oh, if it's turf toe, it's bad. But also, he also is known to be hurt. Like at the very least, he has a receiver with a toe injury that you wanna play 17 weeks. You know what I mean? It's worth being docked. So it's a weekly game. Like if any week the abooka misses Godlin, it's gonna be way better. That's new. So what do you do? I'm Ruby Thorpe, and I wrote and read a real love story about a hinged couple that navigated exactly that. - Everyone. So what I'll throw out is, I think there's, no as art style two sets of Steelers. It's the Jalen Warren Rico Dattle combo running back, and the DK Metcalf, Michael Pittman combo receiver. We have not talked about a lot. Pittman, we just talked about last week for the first time in months, since they really acquired him. And I actually feel really strongly, I don't like Rico Dattle at cost for the Steelers, and I don't really like DK Metcalf at cost. He's Metcalf's more expensive. But I don't mind Jalen Warren, and I don't mind Michael Pittman, because we joke like a few days ago, Michael Pittman might be off brand Mike Evans, in that this guy who's been around, you're kind of sick of big extra-sever that also can kind of do it underneath routes. And we're like, you know what? The style there in Rogers, he could be the Devonta Adams 800 yards, but 14 touchdowns, I wouldn't be shocked 'cause Rogers can throw those targets, and no one's taking Michael Pittman. I kind of feel like I'm at Jalen Warren too, where I'm like, he's kind of like, he's not as good as a receiver of Kenny Gaywell, but I do think Jalen Warren's a better past blocker than Rico Dattle. - Yes, Rico Dattle, not a great past blocker. - And so Eli Heiden, right? 'Cause like the rookie seventh round, or the last pick of the drafts, I think. And so, I mean, he's not gonna, oh no. - He wasn't. - No, he was just seventh round of Steelers, but he went up in the thing, 'cause it was Pittsburgh. - 'Cause he's from there, yeah. - But, I mean, he's not gonna be the past protector for Rogers immediately. So Jalen Warren's gonna be the block on the field, making sure Rogers doesn't take the last hit of his career. But I also think he can stand the field of the goal line. Rico Dattle's probably more traditionally gonna be that guy, but Jalen Warren can do it the same way you wouldn't think Kenny Gaywell's under the goal line. But then he's kind of making plays and Rogers trusts him, and that always supersedes everything people think going in the season. People always underestimate the Aaron Rogers has his guys, and those guys play. And I kind of think Jalen Warren is gonna be the guy from there that he's gonna be like, yeah, goal line to Jalen, I want Jalen in. And if he earns that trust, then Jalen Warren's probably actually pretty underrated. - Yeah, I mean, there's a couple of things about the Steelers. One, I think you have to assume that the offense is gonna be better. It's just it's with Mike McCarthy. I think they're gonna be wearing way more like 11 personnel. I just think it's going to be a smoother offensive system in Pittsburgh. Also, the offensive line is dare I say good. It's young and good. Like, the left side of their line, you know, there's a few things you have to worry about, but like, I don't know, Zach Frazier's one of the best centers in the league. Fautanu has a lot of promise. McCormick has like come out of nowhere. It's like one of the best upcoming guards in the league. They just took big Macs out of Arizona State who's gonna be the right tackle. He's looking pretty good. This offensive line might be very solid. - Yeah. - How do you feel about project Jones, who you took in the first shot and being flipped to Dallas Ray, a fourth for what? Project Jones and a fourth for a third. - I can't believe somebody wanted it. I'll respect him. I hope he has success. But like, with all due respect. - With all due respect. - I he said it. - I thought he was going to languish and we would get nothing back for him. The fact that whatever, we swapped a fourth for a third. Great. He was, he was not good for the last couple of years. It's like he tackled there. - He was not good. - He was not if you sack your own quarterback in celebration that you're gonna get traded. - You know, outside of Broadway. - Is that moment the reason he's gone now? - I mean, the Steelism didn't help. Actually done a pretty good job drafting on the offensive line in the last three years. Like after Project Jones, Frazier McCormick, Fautanu, which all three of those guys I believe the Steelers got the same draft. And now Max Ionichert, it's not bad. Look it up. - How do you envision the split going between Warren and Doriko Dowdell? Cause I'm looking at last year. Jalen Warren was kind of like the lead back. - It was like a weird kind of mix. - Gainwell was the-- - Gainwell's definitely much more of just a receiver playing running back type of guy. He had Gainwell had 73 catches, which I think was in the top five among running backs or somewhere close to that. - For the Warren thing to pay off, he needs to be the guy in the red zone. - Right. - Yes. - And that's the thing. It's one of those we haven't taught. And again, the Steelers offense might not be good. Roger's gonna be in shotgun. We've talked for years now about, it's the parking bark. He's too slow to do the under-centering. He can't move. So everything's in shotgun. He has to see everything. He just wanna get hit. It's bad for the running game to be in shotgun, et cetera, et cetera. So it might not be worth it. However, if Jalen Warren is-- - Yeah, if everything gets bifurcated and one guy's doing the passing downs, one guy's doing the goal line, you'll probably want neither. But if Jalen Warren gets both, more often than not, then he's probably underrated. And Pitman, it's the same thing where, kind of don't love DK Metcalf, but Michael Pitman four rounds later might just straight up be better in fantasy. - Pitman's gonna lead this team and catch us, I think he's gonna lead this team and red zone and end zone targets. - Dude Metcalf is the wide receiver at 34 in ADP right now. - That's too high. - And there's nothing to do with him. - Too high? That's kind of crazy. - I think I'd much rather have Pitman. - But DK Metcalf, if he was on a different team, would be way higher. - Of course. - I'm sure, yeah. - And DK Metcalf was on the paths instead of AJ Brown. I'd be way higher up. - Yes. - I mean, Metcalf finished as-- - It is going up. - Metcalf finished as the wide receiver, 24 last year. - Yeah, but now Michael Pitman's here. - Yeah. - That's true. - And they didn't really have any depth last year. - No. - Yeah. - But they passed to their tight ends like a million times, don't they? That was like a big part of their argument. - I guess it's a great deal. - I mean, he drafted higher, but also, I don't know. He just, maybe Metcalf's a good value too. - No, I mean, I'm not like making that argument, but it's kind of crazy how far he's fallen off in terms of-- - He's just 34th. Yeah, Pitman's 46th, the wide receiver off the board. Like, he's going around, he's going around before Brandon Aubrey. - Yeah. - Yeah. - At that point, I'm like, okay, maybe Pitman's a good value. DK, give me another player you think we have not, or nobody's talking about. Nobody in the whole world. - This one's kind of surprising, because I think we all like him. It's Ted McMillan, T-Mac from the Panthers, who had-- - It's just the Panthers. - It is. - Yeah. - It's hard to get excited about that offense right now. They've had injuries on their offensive line. - It's like a 90 yard to game, so it's even though-- I think that's great, but nobody really. - Bryce Young's a meme, and then the offense of line, it's, yeah, I mean, they have, you know, Remunerow Freeling is like a rookie, that's probably got to have to play, like, you know, Rashid Walker's had to sign for the minimum and approve it deal. You know, because they have, you know, Taylor Moton is injuries, they obviously had to keep going. Like, there's just a lot of issues with her tackles. - Yeah. - And then Bryce Young looks like a middle schooler when he wears a backpack. - Yeah, and so I think that kind of-- maybe just dampened our excitement about what he did as a rookie. And I mean, last year he had 1,014 yards. I was 13th among-- - If you go back-- - Tetero Mcmillan, not Bryce Young. - Yeah, Tetero Mcmillan had over 1,000 yards receiving. He was the clear cut, immediately, the clear cut number one in that offense, which I think is-- - He kind of already feels like a veteran. - Yeah. - You know, I'm just like, Mcmillan, he'll get you 1,100 yards, seven touchdowns every year. Dependable, big-bodied, kind of, already looks like a pro, you know, feels like a pro. He in a way is kind of like how excited we've been about Emeca Bucke during the season. We probably should be excited about Tetero Mcmillan. - Totally fair. - Like, is it really that hard to see T-Mac next year as a top 20 pick? - No. - It doesn't really seem hard for him to just have the beginning of a-- - Yeah, he's fan of his player. - I really like him. He, one thing that I don't know how to take though is he says he's gained 20 pounds since last year. 20 is kind of a lot. Look, you can't gain 20 pounds without half of it being fat. 20 pounds in a year. - Unless you're Marvin Harris. - Think about putting 21 pound hamburgers on your body of just pure muscle. - He's 23, might still be growing. - That is extremely hard. I don't know why people, it's like, I feel like when NFL players gain weight in the off season, it's never like, yeah, I put on six pounds of muscle. - Yeah. - I'd be like, wow, that's great. It's always like, I put on 15 pounds, 20 pounds. - Well, yeah, but they're not normal people. They are eat, I mean, first of all, I mean, they're really answering-- - The plan is like to build up and then he'll lose it throughout the season. - Yeah, probably. - He's building up. - Sure, but that's the kind of way. - Like, 20 pounds is a lot. That's like an eighth of his body weight. - When Marvin Harrison does it, that's bad. But also-- - So a tenth of his body weight. I'm like, that's a lot. - I think it's kind of common though for rookies. A lot of them come in and just realize like they have to be stronger. - He wasn't like skinny. - No, but he was a little-- - He's 65. - Wiery, maybe a little bit Wiery last year. I feel like when you watch him, but he says he was playing more at what he's playing, what he is now in terms of weight in college. He says he felt like a little bit better at the weight he is now when he was playing in college. He always just felt stronger and whatever. - So he's back to his college weight, so he-- - That's what he said. I don't really know. - He was listed at two 12 last year. So he told me-- - The literally things are-- - The literally things are-- - The literally things are-- - What do you think he was? - Actually, the least knowable things-- - 205. - They actively lie. - 205? - 205. - So you think he was 225 in college? - Yeah. - Yeah. - Honestly, like, if you-- - 20 pounds is a lot. - If you look at the history of the NFL, it is fascinating though. There are very few-- it's happening more now, but they're very-- How tall is he? Like, 6'4? - 6'5. - There's very few guys in the NFL who are 6'4, 6'5 and like less than 2'10. It's usually, you know, there's 6'200 or 6'5, 2'25, you know what I mean? Like, there's not that many guys that are like, have the body type of George Pickens in the NFL that have done like really high numbers and been really good. - It is interesting that he says he's closer to the way he was in college now because that means last year, for whatever reason, he was playing-- - Playing a little bit light. - I think there are issues with Carolina and there's reasons we haven't talked about him in time 'cause he just kind of perfectly slots in with Tehiggins and Devante Smith and all these guys that could kind of-- - It's just pop, but he is-- I think he's like, he's great. He's like, 10 or only goes a great player. - Totally great. - And if he was another example of, it's like Tehiggins, incredibly talented. if in a different situation we'd be like freaking out, but he's in Carolina, which is almost muting like how good I think Teneroma Billin is. And I think that's the point of this episode. He's individually incredible. - It's impressive how immediately he just became like the reliable number one wide receiver on a playoff team. He just showed up and was like immediately good. - And it's, I mean, he was picked a lot higher and he was much more well thought of prospect but like especially compared to a guy like Xavier Legat, who was the first round pick for them 20 years before. I mean, he came in and Ted came in and me those just like, you know, throw me the ball, I'm gonna go get it. And I think he's not, he doesn't have a ton of competition for targets this year. It's basically him and Jalen Coker. - And they're the best two in the off. - And they have like a platoon of tight ends that they're gonna use. I don't know, I think he's gonna get fed targets. - And I think to your point, what you're really saying is if you do what we've been saying, which is start running back, running back, if it comes back around in a 12 or a 14 team league, and you're like, oh no, Teneroma Billin's gonna win everyone receiver. It's like, that's okay. - That's what happened in the ringer league for me. - That's right. - He's my number one receiver. I don't know how I feel about it, but I think, I know I really like him as a prospect. I thought he'd look great as a rookie. And I'm just basically praying that the Panthers offense is in a total mess. 'Cause I think even if it's just like an okay offense, he'll be really good. - We might have to, yeah, at the end of the season, that would be great whenever it is. It just don't pray for the Panthers to not be asked. - Yeah. - Who else, Craig? Are you, do you think it's a player? No one's talking about it. - This is kind of weird, but I just think we have not talked about Drake May, at all. - Right. - This off season, who's like the third quarterback off the board. - It's sort of been like, yeah, he's good. - Yeah. - It's sort of we haven't really dove into any of his numbers or what he might do this year. - Yeah, I think we've done a lot of like, well, obviously Josh Almson number one, and we're like, well, Lamar's gonna bounce back and Burrow have a big year, you know, and then there's all the like Jalen Hertz, Caleb Williams, Trevor Lawrence, Justin Herbert. And then Drake May is just kind of sitting there as a guy who was the number two quarterback in fantasy last year, almost when the MVP. And they added AJ Brown and Romeo Dobbs. - And he's going later. Well, he's just going, I mean, - He's not going later, obviously, but like he's going later than he finished last year. - Yes. - Which I would argue he's, can you name another quarterback who's going in the top 10, whose situation improved better than Drake Mays? Maybe Justin Herbert. - I am a little afraid that Drake May is kind of in retrospect the most obvious pick in fantasy. Like all these other guys have coordinated changes. And Drake May just gets another year of Joshua Daniels. - Yes, totally. You're doing the system. I mean, he ran for like 500 yards less year, only four of them were touchdowns. It's only the third year of his career. - Yeah. Like, it could still get a lot better. And I guess I would say Herbert is the only one you could really say has dramatically improved situation because of McDaniel. But Drake May making it work last year with Demario Douglas and Keishan Booty and Stefan Diggs and whatever. - Diggs and Booty are now gone and they've completely revamped their receivers. - They do run and dogs. And he's just like sitting there. My point is like, if you haven't heard a lot about AJ Brown or about Drake May, I think you should still like aggressively draft him. - The one thing that I do. - We've been saying late quarterback. I've been saying it probably the most, but then we become ubiquitous. I mean, Drake May going outside the top 45 picks. Suddenly he's like, oh. - The one thing I do worry about with May, not that I think he's going to regress from a football point of view. But from a fantasy point of view, he had a league high 62 scrambles last year's. Think about that. Like he scribbled more than Josh Allen Patrick with Holmes, Justin Herbert, Baker Trevor. Like he was scrambling. Basically, I think their offense was just dropback. If you don't, like if you missed your first read or two, take off. - Take it out. It's an offensive line issue. I also, like, it's not like the rushing was a huge part of his fan. I mean, like 400 yards rushing is cool. It's four touchdowns. It's not like. - I mean, it is a big deal. I think to, no, I mean, 400 yards is not nothing. I do think to DK's point though, it is a funny dynamic though with younger quarterbacks, which kind of like Jackson's art took an example of this of because fantasy football, the rules are stupid and rushing yards are worth more than passing yards. I'm just saying, it's dumb. - He averaged four rushing points per game, four rushing fantasy points per game. - But there was, that was 11th. Like, it's not like, yeah. - I know. But I'm just keep thinking about the son and a football game they played where after he went like 20 of 23 or something. And then after the game, they were like, "Hey, you were like perfect the first half of a thing." He was like, "No, I wasn't, I like. " And they were like, "Yeah, no. You completely are your past." Yeah, but like when we go to grade it, there were a couple open throws that I didn't see in time. So I just had to run. - Totally. - And like a funny thing that happens is sometimes getting better at quarterback and actually being learning where to find a check down instead of just bailing and you end up getting 12 yards rushing. Learning to play quarterback sometimes actually makes you like slightly less valuable in fantasy when you're not just being Jackson's art being like first second go. - Yes. - I'm not saying I'm not that worried about it with Drake May, but it is a funny thing that happens. - Yes. I think what we'll learn is like will he ever, will they ever use him in the end zone? Like they use Josh Allen. Like is he going to be the guy who like - A keeper. - Scrambles in three or four touchdowns a year? Or is there ever a chance that? And I think we find out this year where it's like, oh no, he could get you like eight to 12 because it's huge and they use him like that. - I am a little worried after talking about late quarterback all year that Drake may just turn that to be a great fourth round pick. Like, maybe that would have been easier. - Did Drake May season last year was kind of insane. - 4400 yards, 31 touchdowns, eight picks, another 450 rushing yards. - Schedule. - I mean, it was a, we are still underrating what he did I think. - Schedule is easy. - He made the Super Bowl and came second in a VP. It's fine. - I know Bill claims that he didn't even have to try and half the fourth quarters. He was like now in more competitive games, and I put up more stuff. - Right. - That's like the Jalen Hurts thing where he scored. So I remember back, a couple of years ago when Jalen Hurts would have like six points by the third quarter and in the fourth quarter he would score like 15. - Yeah. - Similar to Drake May, I just want to mention Bonix is just another quarterback. - We really haven't. - Haven't talked about it. - I just got the ankle injury and everything with Broncos. He's just for a bunch of confidence and reasons he just haven't talked about him. And you know, we've talked a lot about Kyler Murray, but Bonix is like the other quarterback. You can just get really late as a rushing option. I know his ankle's a thing, but the quarterbacks that end up, and I don't know if you guys have seen otherwise, people when they're, you always were like talking about who are the 12th quarterbacks going to be. 'Cause someone's going to be back in quarterback of Patrick Mahomes and Matt Stafford and Bonix, and like one of those guys is not going to start. And the leagues I'm in shockingly people want Patrick Mahomes and Matt Stafford over Bonix. So Bonix falls. And that is just a good example of a boring player that never comes up on a team that's probably going to be really good. He had the most pass attempts at the NFL last season. And despite the ankle issue, I think it's like the odds of his recovery and how much he'll be able to run is like appropriately priced as a high upside backup quarterback that won't cost you very much. He's like pretty good in fantasy, and he's just the other guy we haven't talked about a lot, but he's a good example. Like why maybe waiting on quarterbacks a good or people get Josh and you're like, man, you can get Bonix and Kyler Murray like really, really, really easily. And one of them might just straight up be a top seven quarterback for first half of the second half of the season. Nice guy who's again coming back into the same system. He had an upgrade, they brought in Jalen Waddle. He has like a very solid unit around him. And you're just like, yeah, this is kind of like a healthy, safe environment. Yeah, they're like one of the, yeah, one of the better offensive lines. We don't know what the play collar varies. I think he's good. I don't know what the variable there, what to do with that. Don't you feel, I don't know. I've all the play callers that you're going from a Hall of Fame coach to. Davis Webb, we have a sterling reputation. Sure, but I think, well, yeah, I think Davis Webb, like Sean Payton, has helped with his own reputation. But I do think that of all the coordinator changes, having some guy that was like, I don't know, you look at some former quarterbacks corner plays for the first time all this stuff. Sean Payton choosing to give up play calling to Davis Webb is different to me than the old coordinator being fired and then I'm keeping someone else. Like it is different to me that Sean Payton will be there. And I know it's like, oh, the joke is going to be, well, when's he going to take it back? I get that, but he is there. And so I do think that that, I don't know, it gives me a little more faith in the whole process. You think you know a browser, but Gemini and Chrome, that's new. Josh Jacobs missed somewhere between six games, maybe the whole season, but Marshall and Lloyd being drafted, like, you know, people kind of know he ends up going probably around that. Shuba Hubbard-ish range, sometimes earlier. I don't love him there just because Marshall and Lloyd's had seven touches in two years, and if Marshall and Lloyd ends up being a healthy running back across the whole season, I'm like, actually, genuinely happy for him. He's at a very difficult road, but I don't really want that to happen on my team because he, I think, the secrets out of the bag. I do kind of just think Caleb Johnson is going to be like the waiver wire hero of the year. I don't know if he's even going to be active for week one, but I kind of think Caleb Johnson who ended up from the Steelers going to the Packers at some point will just take up a pretty good amount of this job. And so he is another player that if you're in a 12 or, or deeper league, he's worth picking up. Minimum radar, but I'm like, he kind of mocked, he's fray Johnson. He fray mugs. We're looking at a photo of him and at Packers practice with Marshall and Lloyd. He's like six inches tall. It's like the dare can't dare can't remarking room picture. It is. Yeah. He's like, he's a big guy. So Caleb Johnson, I just, the upside, frankly, is so much higher because Marshall and Lloyd, basically, it would be cool if he went, it's like Jonathan Brooks. If he had seven touches in two years and then it's just bell cow, great. But at some point, that's almost borderline reckless from a team to be like, this guy who can barely do anything is just going to get like all these touches. I don't know. So I, Caleb Johnson is like impossible to figure that out. No. And so I'd rather take the guy who doesn't cost it. How long would you hold on to Caleb Johnson when the season starts if he's not doing a problem? So I think, well, you have to do it for a couple of weeks because he just got there. You got to give it probably a month. That's the, that's the issue. And so I think the reason I think it's, and again, it depends on your league. Like I'm not saying you should, like if Michael Pittman's the last guy on your bench and that's whatever the size of your league, I wouldn't cut Michael Pittman for like, Caleb Johnson to be clear. Right. It does depend on the size. It's one of those where it, I think it's because if Marshall and Lloyd gets hurt in a week one, then you're like, oh my God, Caleb Johnson might be the starter and you just added him for free. And I hate to say that about Marshall and Lloyd, but he's never been healthy. Like it's never happened in the NFL. And I, I think it's, again, it can be a deeper league thing. The other person want to throw a Devon Vale for the Saints. Sure. Who is a starting Saints receipt? Truly the first time we've mentioned him. And I just want to throw it out. Another guy where if you're kind of just going through your draft, you look up, you're like, oh my God, I have four receivers. And one of them's injured and I just might not, I don't have the backup receiver anymore. Devon Vale is starting for the Saints. Jordan Tyson's out two to three months of the hamstring injury and it's going to be Chris Olave. Devon Vale and then John Johnson. We've talked a lot of it. John Johnson, that's one of note, Devon Vale is literally the cheapest starting receiver who will play in two receiver sets in the NFL and fantasy football. Vale. We have a, we have a Saints Tyler Schock sample size with Vale, who last year for like a five week stretch was very good and productive. And he's playing. Like he will play and start and he's not drafted. Vale. Vale is one of those ones that's interesting because he was productive when he was given opportunities with the Broncos and then they traded, the Saints traded two picks for him. Yeah. But, you know, they gave up two assets to get this guy. Yeah, he's interesting. He's like six, five, two, ten, he was a seventh round pick only two years ago. He's really old. He's 28 years old. Yeah, he's really old. He's someone that if you've already drafted and you're like, I kind of need a receiver early, like, or like if a book is out, like just go add. Craig, didn't you, you drafted him in your homelink? I did. I thought, I saw that pick and I was like, that could be really interesting just because like, one dollar, one, one dart at the end of the, at the end of the draft, you might see a guy who gets like a 20 percent target. That's the other thing. Obviously. A lot of them, Jordan Tyson are two of the more volatile injury people in the league. So I think with that said, my dollar all start team is Caleb Johnson, who I don't think we'll get drafted, but it could be huge for the Packers, Devon Valey for the Saints. I mentioned Eddie Mitchell in the Jets, Terence Ferguson in the Rams, all these guys are available really late. And last one, I'll just mention again, not quite as late as the other guys, Chris Rodriguez for the Jaguars. They're running coin toss, yeah, running back for the Jaguars, coin toss flip that he's just the starting running back for the Jaguars leads them in touches, carries and snaps. The fact that he played for Cohen in back in the days, yeah, and it's not like Kentucky. I'm not guaranteeing that he's going to lead the Jaguars and all those stats in a week one, but I feel like it is closer to a coin flip than a lock that Basial Tutan is just the bell cow for the Jaguars. And I think liquid Allen is probably going to take passing down work, but he's already been injured. And I think the passing down is going to be split between split between liquid Allen and Chris Rodriguez. And early down will be split between Chris Rodriguez and Basial Tutan. And then Allen's already hurt, so I just think Chris Rodriguez is for whatever reason going like seven or eight rounds after Basial Tutan. Absolutely worth a laver. It's just fire. Yeah. And if he sucks and you got him, but it's really cheap. So anyway, those are my layers to talk about. Those are the guys sitting alone at lunch. Eatin' like pudding. Putting. That was like real seventh grade, just thinking back to me. - I don't even wanna guess. - Honorary doctorate, it's, what is the P and PhD? The structure of straight hair is held together by what we call, I'm gonna try, disulfide bonds." And the disulfide refers to two sulfur atoms, which are held together by a strong bond. The kids hands together, they're listening so hard. So during a Perm, the hairdresser will put your hair into rollers. The size of the rollers are determined by how big or small your waves or curls will be. - How about the curls you go in if you do this? - Probably 14. - Yeah, maybe a nine-see. - The hairdresser will then put the Perm solution into your hair and the Perm solution contains ammonium, phyaglycelate. - Definitely about that. - Piss, just piss. - Which is a chemical solution is more sulfur in it. - Piss. - Imagine if that was what happened. - Yeah, anyway, continue. - Well, I don't think I've really thought about this, but I guess it really smells, smells really bad. - Like piss. - Like salt, yeah, piss. - Because you're burning your hair? - Yeah, you're burning your hair in sulfur. - With piss. - With piss. - Burn hair smells horrible. - So then without getting two into the chemistry and making this a still ether, obviously. Without getting two into the chemistry and making it complicated, the sulfur in the Perm solution breaks the disulfide bonds in your hair, which loosens the structure of your hair and allows it to take the shape of the rollers, making it wavy or curly. And then a second, neutralizing solution, then reforms the disulfide bonds in the wavy orientation. So you can't, yeah, so you can't wash your hair for three days or else the hair will not set right as we all know from legally blonde. - So they curl it and they freeze it essentially. - Yeah. - Well, in place. - Well, you're saying doesn't sound that different to me than like somebody curling their hair. Like put the curlers in, you hold it for a while, you get a hot and then it stays there. But adding the chemical to hold it for days. - So locking it in place. - Here's the rub, your hair smells for three days. - Oh, wow. - Your hair stinks like-- - How long does it last? - Oh, I'm glad you asked. After that you can do whatever you want. Maintenance was different between long and short hair. Hair dressers will purge curly hair products on a perm to preserve the curl if you have longer hair, which is probably half legit, half marketing. Ethan says, for me and my short hair, I just went back to using normal hair products. Everything was fine. Perm does not stand for permanent. Much like PhD, I guess there's not a doctorate, I don't know. These bonds will not reform and will restrate in your hair, they will not reform and restrate in your hair of a time. However, people with long hair, the curls will just loosen over time, three to six months, due to gravity, which makes it seem like the perm is wearing off. And then for people with shorter hair, your hair just grows fast enough that you eventually just need the curled parts cut. So the perm really only lasts for one to three months of short hair. - So what is perm stand for? - I don't know. (laughing) - Didn't say that was the only thing we wanted to know.
