welcome back slurs to another episode of the podcast my name is Malcolm X Jamal Warner Brothers and I am Jamaica W from Philly and this is the read thank you for joining us oh yeah it is the read that's true and thank you for joining us here mid August almost Birkho season Leo's gravity things you've had your time um I'm not a Virgo just saying oh so I don't know how much I actually get into the zodiacship but y'all love it so this for you you need to have your full chart done I have it somewhere and I just don't paint on mine okay well I know that there's like a massage area and then I think there's a reason there's actually another I'll look something okay got you but I've had several people like oh you have to get what's that I'll call to everyone uses the pattern you have to get the pattern and then be like oh and then fill it out and you know everything you know yeah that's pretty much how it goes so let's get into the festivities as we're gonna go into our black excellence this week's black excellence is going to Sally Richardson Whitfield who is the first black woman to ever be nominated for two directing Emmys in the same category in the same year she's nominated for Direction for the Guilded Age which is an HBO trauma and also for task star Mark Ruffalo also HBO Max I don't watch task I'm familiar so shout out to you Miss Emmy for all of the work shout out to black women directors I think there are three other women three other black women who are nominated for directing Emmys this year really yeah there's another woman in drama I know and Culpepper who nominated who directed an episode of Paradise Amazing Sean Hulu that's her first Emmy nomination and then Rookie Hughes and Alexandra Stapleton are also nominated for directing Emmys got you shout out to ladies and all the directing efforts Millio Bommel probably up there one day yep and the mix which I love so much for let's get into this week's black excellence and I mean on top and I'm gonna begin with fun things some of them are probably some things that you're wondering about anyway mostly nerdy things on my side because D23 just took place last year I believe last week damn it I keep forgetting I want to go to D23 so if there's anyone who's listening to this who has a connect at D23 knows anybody D23 I'm absolutely trying to go next year if you want to go ahead and hit the doll up and just be like hey I know somebody make my cousin or whatever then you know hit me let me know I'm trying to go because D23 is always kind they always use the best exclusives they always get merged that no one sells anywhere then they also get to see all of these great previews and teasers and else what's and stuff hmm and it'll be in Singapore next year okay well I guess I'm not going I mean you can go that sounds actually incredible you make a whole vacation out of it yeah yeah go away for like a few weeks and just go around Asia I mean it sounded incredible to me but maybe not well there are two because there's one that usually takes place in in Japan or somewhere in Asia and then the one that just happened I think there's a D23 that just takes place right here because I'm gonna hide I think yes a couple of the girls that I follow went and I was like I did not even know Disney had like they own product launch preview type thing I mean I should have known because it's fucking Disney but yeah it's like their Comic-Con had no idea that there was like an official Disney fan club that called itself this and and did all that like no clue no yeah I think it's actually San Diego the one that has happened somewhere here not far yeah right and so a couple of things there was the Disney princesses performance like it was what that was from okay stop here it was I cried so many times during that 20 minute special what I really didn't I didn't know what I mean I just knew that it would be fun because I saw photos of brandy upstate I'm up on stage with her princess gown and Harley Bailey was up there with Jody Benson yeah and I was like oh cool they do like a Disney princess live singing thing that's that's fun and then when I went on to I think Disney class to go watch something else it was there and I was like okay just watch it let me go ahead watch it then I cried from damn near beginning fucking and it didn't make any fucking sense because I didn't know much about it I didn't know who else was there outside of the photo that I watched girl like they called damn near every fucking singer that provided a voice of vocal for the Disney princesses ever ever and then they cleaned up because they were like oh girl you think they were just digging to the movies we have Belle from the film but also from Broadway oh okay we have Moana from the original Moana's the animated and we have the latest live action Moana we have white Jody Benson area we had black had a hotly Bailey area unique and only rose was there to be our first black princess who cleared it the lady who voices who sings it Leah Lisa Longa yes she voiced this she sang his Jasmine she was also the singing voice of Mulan oh where that lady said I loved that they were like because you have people in the audience of all ages lots of little little children that you had lots of young people who seem like they're probably in their 20s a couple people might seem like they might be by age everybody know the words everybody is there for their individual enjoyment yeah so it was beautiful to see these people from across different age ranges and cultures who know these words know the songs word for word having a good time and then also getting to see the faces of a lot of these characters the these voices that they weren't familiar with like everybody all people know maybe especially the live-action ones they're gonna recognize this new Moana they're not recognize Hally so there's some of that they probably even recognize that Nekonone Rose obviously Brandy but then some of the like older like the Jody Benson and Jason Weaver now that would have cleared that would have shot it oh right it was princess is my bit princess but Jason Weaver the kids have no idea bitch can you imagine this is bring out Jason Weaver let's have Tevin Campbell oh it would have been too much what's this really flustings yeah you're right yeah um but yeah it was really lovely I was very emotional I cried so many times because I think my body was just already completely um just completely empty on e when I came to serotonin got you so so this was too much it was so many beautiful moments I was there for Jody and Hally Ariel's probably the first princess I like
I think it's because I love the ocean. I was always in love with undersea life. It might be my name. I believe you make that's probably both. And so then you have mermaid and then you have this ditty fool who's like, I don't like you here. I don't want to move, which I've always else in Wonderland. That's why that's my favorite movie. Got you. And then obviously Hally. So that made me cry, cry, cry, cry, very, very big. What is the other song that made me cry? I think when colors of the wind was performed, I cried real big. I cried during the moment. I cried damn near on. Like I just would not stop crying. I couldn't stop crying. I cried so many fun times when I started singing. I think Brandy sang a whole new world with Leah. But if you have watches, just go watch it. If you grew up kind of watching Disney films, then I'd be very interested to hear how you felt about it. If you didn't, I'd be interested to see how you felt about it. Because they're just, what does he himself completely racist, very racist, dead man, since then though. If you just come with me and scooch right past their part. Disney films are just, they're, they're pure. And they have like an intent. And they're, you know, they're for family. They're just like so many of these songs are just nostalgic. And at the center of them, there's like this really beautiful story, right? Yeah. Colors of the wind, literally how high can a sick or more grow if you cut it down, they'll never know. You won't. The truth in that mama. The beauty in that statement. Almost there. Princess Tiana. Oh, no, that's a real, you know, when you, you just got to hang on and things are hard sometimes and it's ups and downs, but baby, I'm almost there. I can see it. I can smell it. Some of your songs are just really, really beautiful. What is the one Milana sings? Because me. How far I'll go? How far though? Amazing. Amazing song. It is good. You know what else is good? Show yourself from frozen. Is that from frozen too? Yep. Still never seen it. Show yourself. Might be the best song of the entire frozen franchise. Fuck that other one. Fuck that whatever had the key is going crazy for years. Fuck that one. No. Show yourself. Show yourself is a fucking bomb. I watch frozen too later today, Ben. I still have that one. I haven't seen you. Oh, you're going to cry at frozen too. I'm like, you know, oh, let it go. It's the other one. I think it will because you, you know, anytime the themes be around like family and stuff, you'd be like, let's go weep at this. So excuse me. Well, you cry it. You just sat here and talked about how you cried at the whole A24 thing. You just sat there and cried over Disney Prince D23. Sorry. You just sat there. You just sat here for 10 minutes and told us about how you wept at all the most. So yeah, I think when you see what on and else go through together in this movie, you're going to be like, it's good though. It's good. But show yourself. That is a song. I can't wait to see Toy Story 5 too. But I was watching this. I was like, oh my goodness. I haven't sat and watched Disney movie probably since inside out to say another one. And watching was like, oh, I really need this energy. I need, let me take a break from watching the obsessions and all of the just horribly terrifying, violent and morbid things that I love so much that I go to sleep watching. Let me just watch like a young child get magic and say big grandma. And then whatever. Why not? Something to make your heart feel good. You know, something to make you feel happy. Well, instead of death the dome, gloom, horror, suspense, blood. Well, that makes me feel better. Okay. Um, fun. What else? So D 23, we got Kingdom Hearts four teasers. They tell my they should come out late 2027. We'll see this. That is getting your cocoa world, which I think would be great. I also heard rumor of a cocoa. Oh, yes, that was alive. I almost forgot about cocoa. What a beautiful movie. Yeah, cocoa too seems like it's actually gonna be a thing. Who's dead now? The grandma. Right. I mean, it was the great grandma last time. Yeah. Oh, that one box. Yeah. Oh, I can't handle teen Miguel. Look at him. Oh, yeah. Oh, he's adorable. Incredibles three. They showed something from I'm going to be front and center for Incredibles three. And you can eat my ass. Yeah. Okay. Speaking of Kingdom Hearts, Hayden Pan to your past away 36 years old. This really, she was the voice of Kyrie and the first in the Marks Games, which means nothing to you. But she was also heroes, obviously, which I think was maybe what introduced me to her. One of my first, you know, major memories of Hayden Pan to your, um, because heroes was my shit. Mm-hmm. She's obviously in scream. She was in it until Don. She was in Nashville. Um, Nashville. Remember the tightens is where I first saw her. Or where I put it on movie with salon. Yep. She was in that bring it on movie with salon. Um, and yeah, that really, that fucked the hood up job. 36 years old. We wasn't ready as it like we was not so sad. Yeah. But yeah, Kingdom Hearts. And I've spoken about a million times on this podcast, one of my, like my favorite video game series franchise, been playing it since I was a, you know, young teen. And Hayden Pan to your was the voice of the lead girl, like one of the lead girl, or the lead girl Kyrie, um, who's the center of the first one, or trying to save her and all this stuff. So Hayden Pan to your has legitimately been a part of my little nerdy life. Mm-hmm. For such a long time. And so when that notification came across my MacBook, I was like, come on, bro, give me a break. Like how every, like everybody but Donald Trump. Like, God, like it's your business is yours, right? And at this point, I know you're just giving up on us on this planet, right? Why not? And so fine, but real. Okay. All right. Um, so there's one to mention that that has been really sad. And from what I've seen since it sounds like it might be messy. Yes, it sounds like substances are involved in maybe, if not foul play, then, you know, some weirdness. But also she just put out a book talking about her life, things where she's one of those child stars that was severely neglected. And she seemed to be kind of in awe that she made it as long as she did considering all the shit that she's been through. And I even saw her mama, the statement her mama put out with something like, you know, too bad Hayden lost her way. It should happen sometimes or something like that. It's like what? Whoa, whoa, whoa, like, it just seems like a strange, you know, it's yeah, it seems like Hayden's story was probably really tragic from the beginning, but she was so, so talented and so cute and just so good at what she did that it just kind of, you know, like a natural little charmer. So it's a sad story about Hayden. I'm praying for her daughter, but yeah, you know, this is one of them stars. I don't even think black people knew how much we fucked with her until this shit came out. Like, I definitely did, but hitting the, the social media after this and seeing how many niggas were like, Oh, not this. Not Hayden. I think you community. I never know. Yes, because they were pulling up all the clips of her in that movie with Michelle Trachtenberg, that ice princess movie that they were both. Oh, Lord, Lord, we losing all of our quality white girls. I mean, while selfie cutting handbrake another day, and it just, it does it make anywhere. Do the.
demons die. Yeah, already in hell. I don't think that they don't if they do, they just come back in another body and keep their evil going like, I think all you can do is send them back. And even that is a lot of work. Anyway, rest in peace. Hey, and I mean, they used to kick Roger out of T into my house all the time. Oh, Roger. They all did it in stereo. I wanted you gone. Um, other D23 news. Oh, I know something that you want to talk about from D23 inside out three. Oh, really? I'm great. Yes. Um, when they went on a break, I think the creator had hinted about, you know, they had a bunch of other bluey stuff coming out so everybody can please just relax your fucking tits. Um, so I wasn't shocked, but I am happy that we have a date. It's not till next August. That's fine. Yeah. And yeah, I'll be there with and and praying somebody has a toddler that I could take with me, so it won't look too weird. But otherwise, I'll be there by myself. And the funny thing is you'll probably still be seated next to a 35 roll couple that smells like ruts. It's just a theater full of adults who are like there for their inner child, neatly. I'm going to incredible three by myself. So like tough family, films, family. Oh, well, if you're on by yourself, you know, which family. Well, that's fine. It's for the family, for everybody. That's what the family ain't right. So we all going with everybody can actually is what it made to G general audiences. So ultimately, I win the whole planet really. That's everybody's invited. So you can absolutely go. What do you think of the animation style, giving a little 3D, a little Pixar, a little strange. It's going to take me some getting you blue, you know, I'm used to my healer family looking. Yeah, yeah. And not, you know, not so fuzzy, but yeah, I like it. I like it. But it's different. But nothing is going to keep me from this. The creator would have to come out, you know, his black face pictures from college or something would have to come up with me not to go to this movie. Yeah. Yes, it is a little disorienting to see the girls like that. But I'm gonna get over it. Um, not much info about it. All right. The teaser was just bluey and so the younger sister, being the teaser, we're there chasing the room. Yeah, they gave us, they gave us nothing, which I mean, I loved it. It was nothing, but I thought it was so cute because I remember doing this with you outside with the blue blue. Do you try to make sure it doesn't touch the ground? Oh, yeah. And then it did touch the grass that they just ran. Yeah. Oh, my goodness. Bluey is so adorable. Um, so when I saw this, I was like, well, score one for Crystal. Right. I'll be there. I'll be there. You are to not have to worry about me. There isn't even a tagline it or no, no, no, like plot summary. No, nothing. Peter just says on an action packed day, a big surprise changes everything for Bluey and her family. Bitch, that's half the episodes. Yeah. It just be a paintbrush. That could be the, the most recent episode. The one about, are they gonna sell the house and move or aren't they? Like that could, that, that description fits. Yeah. Most of the episodes in the series. So okay, y'all, that's fine. Maybe another baby. No, no, no, because if we're sticking with the cannon, then I do believe that there was an episode where they were moving the baby stuff out of the nursery. And the mama was getting kind of sad. And she was saying that, you know, we're not having, we're not having no more kids. So, you know, it's sad. So, no. Yeah. I reject it. Oh, but I'm feeling very childish for that. I'm feeling like a little kid who's like, actually don't want to brother. You're probably right. Just for the sense it feels like of all the things they could do. Yeah, really want to do some new baby. Right. But who knows, we'll, we'll, it really could be anything. And yeah, I'm, I'm excited. I am. I don't care that I'm too old and childless to be hype about this. I can't not wait for it. Listen, we're all just really waiting for nuclear fall at this point. So, you got to get your fun where you can. And when you put it that way, why don't I go to the premiere? Right. And when you put it that way, selfie, I'm going to wear a silly mask to the premiere. Our time is splitting on this completely method. Yeah. What the fuck not a blue gown excited. They should invite you. They should. Yeah. I don't, I mean, it's a year away, but I'll, I'll be, I'll keep my out for my email. Yeah. So, I need D23 passes. It crystallizing it invited to the blue movie premiere. Right. Then honestly, you think, what do any of you want? Yeah. D23, what else did we get? We got so much marble. So, marble kind of had a snack. Marble kind of went ahead and they just, they, they chewed on some things. So, we got X-Men. They have a lot of our upcoming X-Men cast and this would include, I'll just name the people that you you might be from. So, let's talk about Storm. So, Maya Boyd, young Broadway, Thesbian, amazing singer, Alvin Ailey Dancer, young chocolate, talent, newer talent. She's been cast to play Storm in the upcoming MCU X-Men reboot. I have a sneaking suspicion that she will also be present in Black Panther 3. Okay. As Storm and Black Panther are love interests, they are a couple. In fact, Storm is queen of Wakanda in many respects. And I think that they will probably look to explore that in this new X-Men run. So, I'm looking, I'm looking very much forward to that because I think we've spoken, I've damn near, I've run my mouth for years and years at this point, but the next store needs to be a storm. Like, let's get someone who looks like her. Let's get someone who looks like her and it's getting really axed. Looking like her, in terms of the criteria I would choose for Storm, we've got that. She's a dancer, which means that I expect when she's flying and using her power, especially ones with wind, we're going to get something spot on because growing up watching X-Men, the animated series and all these other things when I was a huge, huge, huge, I mean, I still hear. But Storm, when she would fly, she would also do, always do this like, like a pirouette in the sky or so it's like she would be doing ballet almost as she's using her powers because she's a goddess. She's graceful. Right, right, right. My one concern and I'm going to just say it, say it, front and center. And I think I'll probably be speaking for both of us. She don't need context. She really doesn't have to have blue contacts. We don't have to do that. We don't have to do it. Like Marvel, I might actually pose this on like social media somewhere to really just expand the reach of this sentiment. We don't have to give her blue contacts. I understand that Storm canonically has blue eyes. We don't. Let's just, if there's a single thing to pull from the last two live action. It's just leave them their god-given eyes and turn them blue when that she uses her powers. She doesn't have to have, please, I'll put blue contacts in that poor girl face. Please don't do it. Please, because you put blue contacts in that white boy face from stranger things. Johnny Storm and Fantastic Four. Look out Fantastic Four MCU Johnny Storm. And look at that boy's face. They bleached his hair blind and they put blue contacts in the eyes. Sick. He looks insane. Johnny. And he's a white boy. Oh. Yeah. Johnny Storm MCU. Yeah. And Torcha Humana. Human Torch. Yes. When I googled Johnny Storm, it said human, the human torch. Yeah. Johnny, that's the same person. Yeah. Human Torch is a superhero name. Johnny Storm is his government now. I see. Well, you see the man from stranger things. I've never seen stranger things. But do you see the live action boy with blue contacts in the face? I see. No, actually, I see a white man.
with brown eyes. Johnny Storm MCU images girl like Johnny Storm MCU go to images and look at this time. One on time. Is this the one the cover of time? Yes, that's okay. Yes, the where the blue is the same as his shirt. Yes. Okay, don't like that. I'm begging y'all I know that you're trying to go like oh yeah look we we're doing the comics and we're getting their costumes look like we're coming and you're we're doing all of it. Please don't give her a blue context. I'm begging y'all. I'm begging you, begging you, begging you, begging you, begging you. Please don't. It's gonna ruin it for me. Yeah. Contact lens technology is not barrier. I mean yeah, I I feel like y'all just shouldn't I do it just just because like black women are so pretty. Don't do that today girl. We just don't need but we actually did have more than one person email asking your thoughts about Maya as the new storm. So I'm glad you brought it up. Yeah, I figured they're excited. Also very very thrilled that Indy now already is is officially in the MCU. I think Rogue is a great uh choice for her and I said this maybe a year and change ago to one of my friends before they even mentioned Rogue being in it. They're gonna cast a rogue that Rogue is going to beat the ever loving fuck out of Captain Marvel. She's gonna knock that bitch out the MCU all together and then steal her powers so we can get the rogue that flies and punches holes and tanks or whatever. It's gonna happen a because it's comic accurate and b because y'all bitches hate Breelars and it's Captain Marvel which is disgusting but it is what it is. What else happened to them at D23? There's something else from D23 that I felt like we could talk about that you would be interested in. What's next man? Disney announced a lot of shit but you know what I think I went over the like a big stretch of it. I'm excited for most of those things. I shall be seated. Yeah. So Storm's not a lesbian. Interesting. Listen, there's probably some story from some time where she dipped and dabbled but no, Storm is usually like her most famous. Her most famous love interest is Black Panther. Got you. No. They're usually depicted as a married couple. Learn something new every day. So now that we have this new Storm and this new Black Panther they both look like they might be around the same age. David Johnson is, oh no, right. David Johnson is 32. My boy is in her 20s. I'm 23. Okay. Wrong. Oh, listen, I'm very excited for this young lady. They about to be out of here. So yeah, those are the my thoughts on the things. I know I'm forgetting something that you bitches are probably not asking about. So just ask me. Let's move on to where should we go? So Netflix is asking for this lawsuit that defamation lawsuit that Tyra Banks is filing against them for the top model documentary they did where I cussed her the fuck out. I remember. Netflix is now asking for the judge to throw the thing out saying that Tyra signed a waiver that gave up creative control. And they say as the host and executive producer of America's next time on she's familiar with making similar edits. Damn, oh yikes. That's crazy because it sounds like they are kind of proving her point. But they are messy and edited things to be as salacious as possible so that the internet we get world up and yeah, that's exactly what that sounds like to me. Wow. Now all of a sudden Tyra don't like messy editing. Right. And they're probably gonna do like the jokes. They're gonna win. Yep. They're completely right. So that's exactly what the point of the waiver is. So yeah, damn. She just had to do it that way so that we all knew that they made her look messier than what she was actually trying to be which makes so much sense because the whole internet was pissed at Tyra for months. So live it. Live it. And specifically I was pissed because of this very thing that she's suing about. Yep. So yeah, she said now that's that's a step two goddamn far now. You could say a lot of things about me and my high ice cream but. Are you watching Project runway? Or do you watch Project runway? No, not in probably a decade have I seen that. You know, she's one of the judges on there. Again, back. Did she ever leave you? I thought she left. Wait, god damn, I'm thinking top model. Yeah, no. Project runway. Yes. No, I have. Okay, Project runway. No, I have not. I'm not watching it right now. I do though. And I did not know she was. I did not know she was a guest judge. Good for her. Yes, she's. She's judging on this season and it's so funny to watch because she does that thing that she. I mean, she speaks the way that she spoke on on top model or anytime that she's on camera really where she's like, the thing about the dress is that it was what we needed, but it wasn't what we want. So just think about it. You know what I mean? You're not really talking about nothing, but you're saying it in a very dramatic fashion. Yeah. Yeah, I get it. I'm watching for the fashion and for La Roche. Well, Tyra, like you said, might have just opened up a book here. Good enough because I got the same sentiment that Netflix was like, yeah, we are messy bitches that lift the camera. Don't you get it, Tyra? I mean, turn about his fair play sister. Razbee say he want to have a stadium tour with Instinct Destiny's Child in B2K. And it's like, what? What? Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Destiny Child, Instinct, and who? And B2K. So what? One of these things is not like the others. Instinct Destiny's Child wouldn't even go on tour together. First of all, first of all. Why would they go to first of all, first of all, be Beyonce. Okay. Was this was Razbee? Was he like in the middle of shooting something on only fans or something? Somebody, he was just whispering, you know, like this was just like he just wasn't for real. Like he was just talking, you know, maybe he was at a party or something drunk and just said something silly. Like he wasn't being for real because I wish that was okay. Instinct don't. Instinct don't do that. Destiny's Child don't do that. Even if they did go do that, they wouldn't do it together. And even if they did and needed an opener, why would it be y'all? Why would it be you? You had to just be talking. That's what I'm saying. He had to just be talking. You just, yeah, he's just outside. Like outside of house in Atlanta or something like that, just in a driveway. Like, hey, you know, we'll be fine. Capitalism. Girl, just take the B2K reunion money that you got and like, and we walk our way over to some sense, right? Y'all, unfortunately, we have not had a chance to get away from B2K since they broke up. Y'all niggas are always somewhere. Y'all always on stage somewhere or mostly y'all. Y'all always cobbling together some kind of showing and performing. So no, it's not happening, baby. But yeah, imagine after all this time, Destiny's Child get back together and it's like, guess what we going on the road with others? Cherish. Right. That's what we need. Cherish is opening for B2K forever, Destiny's Child. I don't know about something.
- That, no, that's not real. So. - Well, you know what, it's just like, okay, so we have had all of this money that we're making. You know, it would make even more money. Some shit, I don't think, no damn sense. We're gonna go on tour with InSync, "Oh my girl, no." And what? - No. (laughs) - I'm sure they'll need that. - I was like, fuckin' act three. Before your Destiny's Child reunion full stop, what's called InSync, it just doesn't make any sense. If Destiny's Childs will have anybody perform alongside them or open for them, it'll be Blue Ivy Carter. - Oh, wow, imagine. I was like, "A blue not open for no damn dirt in sync." (laughs) - Like, do you know what a demographic is? - No, in sync opening for Blue, don't play with me. (laughs) - Hi. - Oh, that's Q-Resby, but no. - So, Clarissa Shields had a fight. She fought this white lady in her 40s. One, and I was gonna say, "I hope you won." Oh, white woman in her 40s. - I mean, yeah. She knows which fights to choose. Since then, it's just been non-stop ridiculous headlines 'cause people love talking about Clarissa, Papu's, Remy, and whatever mess they could find. Granted, these people did not give them a shortage of things to mention when it comes to the mess of Remy must still be married to Papu's, Papu's fucking his box there. They're all talking shit about each other all the time. Well, mostly, Remy has made what? Now, two disc records? One was like a full blown disc record. One is another song that has some disc on it. - Yeah, I believe so. - Clarissa, stay talk about it girl. Papu's not so much. I believe Papu's, I already did file a cease and desist for that, for that, will you feel like song? - Oh, really? - That's what I read, that a cease and desist went over that way, like, take this song down, it makes horrible derogatory claims and such and such, whose song is still available to you. - I was about to say, I am right there. I don't think it's gone anywhere, but, sorry. I could see why you were wanting it. I could see why you were wanting it down, but we're not doing that. - Someone posted some big dramatic video of Papu's getting Clarissa's name tattooed on him. After the fight, someone asked Clarissa what they're drinking at the club. She answered on Facebook anything, but Remy, I'm thinking in 1942. She also said that she might be pregnant because Papu's went crazy after the fight. - I just wanna be left alone. - I mean, and you could have excluded me starting so long ago, like, so far back. - So, so, so far back. - I definitely didn't need to know that Papu had a nut trap against inside your body. I didn't need to know that happened, like-- - Nobody needed that. - Yuck. - Nobody. - Yuck, girl. And, I mean, since when our whole's bragging about, okay. I mean, I don't think it really does sound like, you know, this is a marriage in name only by technicality only, but, I don't know. The whole's used to at least wait until he was-- - What marriage? - His marriage to Remy. - Oh. - The fact that he's still actually married to suck the way you forgot. You're like, oh right. - No, 'cause I was like, I don't even think they think about baby. (laughing) - They're like, why should we care? Who gives a shit? And, I mean, yeah, I get it. Like, y'all have lit up, y'all are not together, but-- - Clarissa just finds the weirdest shit to brag about. Like, nobody was challenging you for Papu's. Like, I really doubt you have any hopes to worry about at all. Like, you could just mind your 20-something year old, successful black female boxer business. Like, this attaching yourself to this nigga and this drama and going back and forth to this ex-wife and all that. Like, I just feel like in 10 years, she gonna look back and be like, what the fuck was I thinking? Yeah. - I don't need to know that your man ejaculated inside of you after anything. It's just like, I thought of that, you have to tell me. Even putting that in a group, in a group chat, or just texting that to me. I'm gonna be alright. I'm gonna cry. - And it's just, you know, the, is that's just not an image I want. I don't want to think about y'all doing it. I don't want to think about you and Papu's doing it. (laughing) - Because you're not, like, neither of you are attractive. Even if you were, I would be like, oh, wow, that's graphic. But it would help. - Yeah, it would probably would have helped a little bit. Just go through it. - It would have helped. - Yuck. Somebody said, in these comments, somebody said, she not drinking, she not drinking Remi because Papu's already drunk after it. - Yuck. - I thought that was clever. - Yeah, well, you could also just not drink it. Like, this whole thing has gone on for too long. - You didn't have to say anything. You just not told us. You just not responded to it. - Always an option. Everybody involved could grow up. Yeah, (laughing) and that would be great. Have you seen this girl but had the habys new face in body? But had the habys still outside being spoken about and now it's because, I guess, she got her body done to look like a light skin child. - A light skin child? - I mean, yeah, she still looks like a child to me, but. - Got you. Oh, I see. Yeah, she looks like a Kardashian now. - Yeah. - Oh, Yuck. Well, she's pregnant. Oh, she used to be okay. She's still famous for real. I can't believe this little girl off a Dr. Phil is still a thing. - Defines Remi. - Well, I mean, she made it to the right. (laughing) Indy label, this girl just be doing anything. I mean, I don't, she has cancer. - What? I really say all the way out there, you know, the ladies' business for the most part, but I saw this clip on like several different platforms. - Yeah. - So I was like, okay, I guess Nick is talking about this. It just kind of, I see when I saw this clip of her, I felt bad a little bit. - Okay, yeah. - 'Cause yeah, she was a little, her red white girl with no fucking sense or respect or broad up sees on Dr. Phil, Cussin and being ready to fight everybody and all this shit. And I don't think that she's had sincere development sense. And I can't think of, I can't help but think of all the people who failed her. - Right. I mean, probably her mama from the very beginning, but we don't even hear nothing about her daddy. That probably says all that that needs to say in and of itself. But she get her hair treated, is this the part? Like is she trying to-- - I think it's a wig. - Okay. Yeah, apparently she did have cancer 'cause people were asking about her being skinny and then I guess she got this BBL and they're like, "Damn, you can get a BBL when you have cancer." So I don't, I don't know about the cancer journey, but okay girl, there's, Google images can't seem to, you know, this girl changes up her look every couple of months or yeah, 'cause here in May she looked like a, what's her name, ball here, Amber Rose. - She looks like, she looks like this girl from a reality show. I can't remember her name and honestly can't either. I shouldn't have run it up. Can't remember her name and I can't even remember what show it is. - If I do some digging, I'll figure it out. But she looks exactly like this light skinned, I think mixed girl. - Okay. - From basketball wives and one of them shades. - She does, she looks like all the girls like. - Yeah. - Yeah, she just has that look now. Wow. Okay. - Rachel Dole was all found. David, give me a minute. Like, that bitch picked me never. - Well she would, Rachel doesn't have the guts to take it this far. - Right. - Get a BBL, you late ho. - Rachel at least has her bachelor's in African American studies or whatever this little girl never had a shot at no book learning the education, you don't do all that. No ask about that. - I just said, I went right up to the African braiding place like somebody was saying. - Yeah. - How's that? - Okay.
Okay. Yuck. Yuck indeed. I'm gonna end the hot tops there. - Okay. - I really just wanted to talk about D23. - Yeah. - That's it. Oh my God. - Yeah, I can feel it. - And I'm still certain I forgot some shit. You know what? Disney worlds. If you could name a, yeah, I know which one's in the name. Disney worlds are Disney films that you think could make for a great setting in a video game. And a video game like an actiony game like a Legend of Zelda, right? Not just insert one. Imagine if Legend of Zelda, like Link trans, he was like transports to another world and that world was a Disney world, which one would you pick? This is easier than explaining Kingdom Hearts. - Okay. Maybe the swamp from Tiana? - It's a good one. That is a good one. - Right. - I'm going Moana. - All kinds of scary shit in the swamp. Oh yeah, the ocean. That's real scary. - Especially that one part where they go and they try to get Maui's hook from that ground. - From the-- - You're like the Ramos. - Oh yes. - Stars. - Mm-hmm. - Yeah. Really good world for Kingdom Hearts. Especially because in Kingdom Hearts, when they go to the different worlds, the characters, their costumes and sometimes their bodies sort of morph to fit the world they're in. So if they went to the swamp from Princess and the Frog, they probably turn into like little swamp creatures. Like maybe Donald turn into a firefly. Maybe-- - Oh. - Like a gator. - Okay. - And Sora might be like a little frog, which is a part of the parts, one of the parts of Kingdom Hearts that I really enjoy. - I think I tried to play Kingdom of Hearts once and I just never could get, or am I thinking of Smash Brothers? - One of those, I think-- - I feel like you tried Smash Brothers for sure. - Okay. - 'Cause you have a switch. - Right. Oh, Kingdom Hearts is not on switch. - Ah yeah. - Mm-hmm. - Okay. So then I have a-- - Drops on switch and now them there. (laughing) - Okay. - Oh yeah. - Ah, okay, here in a couple of months. It won't be long. - You like it? - Like it? - I'd be interested. I would actually love for you to try the first Kingdom Hearts see how far you get. - Okay, yeah. We'll see. - Yeah, it's very cute. And if anything, when you're just like, okay, all this family fantasy talk of hearts and spirit magic and light, or whatever the fuck, then you'll see Donald and Goofy. And they go to Wonderland. And you'll see all these other things recognize. And be like, all right. So be silly again. - I know who that is. Mermaid. That is Ursula. Okay. - That's me. - Like, might like it. - Okay. - Or you might just be like, this is the dumbest should I ever play to my life. - I'll share it out. - I can't call it with you. - It's hard to tell because when you're talking about it, it does sound stupid. But you never know what I might actually be into once I play, so. - 'Cause I'll be like, oh, check out Aversaur. And you're like, I'm not gonna watch that. - Oh, well, I tried. - Oh, Sailor Moon. That's the dumbest. - I think you tried. - So my life. - Oh, good. - Sometimes. - Yeah. - Well. - And then you get into Stephen. - Stephen is good. - Stephen is good. - So that's different. I would tell him I'd be good. Sailor Moon is not good. Sailor Moon's entertaining. But it is not good. - Yeah, I agree. I went back and I was watching it. (laughing) Finally. - I mean, I love Sailor Moon. I do think it is a good show, depending on how old you are and what you're into. (laughing) - I do think if you're under eight, you're gonna love it. - Under 11. - Oh, okay. - 11, 12. - Why are you giving more than that? - Yeah, it is very much about a teenage girl. - I haven't heard of it. I haven't heard of it. stress me to hell out. I'll try it a few times. When I start getting legitimately mad, I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go go. It's not worth the being pissed. Yeah, it's supposed to be telling me. It's supposed to be a good time. I'm over here annoyed. Yeah, I think completely same answer. When I get to the point where I'm getting frustrated, then I just look it up. Yeah. I do try to challenge myself to figure out, especially puzzles and stuff. Yeah. And, you know, there are male-ing puzzles in every Zelda game. I will try to figure it out because that's a part of the fun. But when I just feel stumped, I look it up. Yeah. It's just no pressure. No, I don't think there's anything wrong with that. There's no rules, right? I'm not. Who is there to disappoint here? You know, like I'ma look it up, but especially to get a hundred percent complacent. I was about to say, I'm from the 1900s when they used to sell little books in the video game until store, where you can buy like little strategy guides and tips and tricks on how to, you know, get thousand lives on Mario or whatever, like, so I'm an old bitch. Okay, though, we've been doing this for a long time. The fact that you can just Google it now. Sure. Please. Please. Absolutely. I do it to find all the Coroxies. You think I organically found all the Coroxies? I use the matte baby. So yeah, have fun. Enjoy it. You know, go exploring and figuring things out. But if you get super frustrated, there's no shame. And that's what the internet is there for. Legitimate. You have one million. You go to GameFacts or game FAQs.com. Huge, huge library of guides for all kinds of stuff. They also put like cheat codes up for games that still have cheat codes are used to. They have like walkthroughs. I think they have stuff where you can check what trophies you have or how to get certain trophies. You have IGN posts. Really good guides. Obviously YouTube has lots of tutorials. I use YouTube specifically when I'm trying to like find a specific thing. Like let's say there's this cave or something that I'm trying to find in breath of the wild are in tears of the king. Sometimes reading where it is. It's not going to be as helpful. It's just watching a clip of somebody and go, okay, you start here. Take a left. Are you going to go over here? Yeah. I do it all the time. I do agree though that like Chris said, those games are really fun to just explore and and let things surprise you specifically breath of the wild in tears of the king. The huge fun of that is like chopping a tree down and then realizing you can ride it or that it'll float in the log. I mean float in the river. Right. But yeah, when you start getting stumped or frustrated, just look at it. So don't be afraid to play a game on easy if it has a difficulty. Absolutely. Absolutely. I will trust in myself. I'm not stressing myself out any more than it already necessary. So good luck, Riju. I wish I could replay those games for the first time. Our next letter comes from red who says, hey, if you're in crystal, I need help deciding whether to end a 12 year friendship quietly or blow the whole thing up on my way out. Okay. This friendship has included laughs, tears, support, advice and the normal amount of mess that comes with knowing someone for a long time. He has supported me and I have been one of his biggest supporters too. But over the years, I think I've overlooked many of his flaws because I saw some of those same flaws in myself. I gave him grace, but I'm starting to wonder whether my grace has turned into unpaid crisis management. My friend has a longtime girlfriend named Sharon who is traditional and once marriage, stability and a future. She has been hinting that she wants an engagement ring for her birthday. But my friend has spent the last eight to ten months telling me that he wants to break up with her. He says she's too nice of a person and he can't bring himself to hurt her as if lying to her for nearly a year and wasting her time wouldn't count. He does not want marriage. He wants to keep playing the field. When he travels for work, he sleeps with other people. Sharon is over there waiting for a ring while he's searching for his next hook up. I'm disgusted by what he's doing, but I'm also questioning myself. Have I been such a loyal friend that I became an accomplice? Can I continue being close to someone whose choices go against my values? If I tell Sharon am I protecting her or am I inserting myself into a relationship that's not mine? Should I end the friendship and walk away quietly or should I tell Sharon the truth before she waste more of her life waiting for a future that this man does not want? Thanks for your help. Red. Red fierce. I'm assuming red is is also a guy. I think so, but I can't really tell. I mean, it just would be strange because since when do men have this kind of moral compass? Right. But anything's possible. Exactly. I don't think you're an accomplice. I didn't rob a bank. Right. That's a little German. You know that your friend is being a fuck nigga and you don't care for it. But I also think that if you were to insert yourself by telling his girlfriend, it would I think it would make things way messier than it needs to be. I think that maybe I definitely would step away from a friendship with this person to me. If I wasn't, if I'm not already saying to him directly, you ain't shit and I don't care for this, it makes me uncomfortable. Right. I'm assuming that maybe you and the girlfriend spend time together, like I'll spend time together in groups. Maybe you hang out together sometime because if I was in this girl's face consistently knowing about it, I would have trouble. Right. Exactly. So I get that part, but I don't feel like I would recommend you telling her on your way out of this friendship with him because I just I don't see really how that would work out for anybody. Well, I don't think you should either, but that's I don't think you should because if the point is to get away from this person, you are actually going to make things a lot harder for yourself because you're not going to end this friendship and then be like, oh, by the way, you're managed cheating on you and right. And then right away peacefully into the night and never hear either one of them again. Yes. Exactly. Not going to happen. Right. Sharon, going to be calling you randomly, probably for the next several months, your ex-friend is going to be pissed and, you know, rightfully or wrongfully so like you're probably going to just continue to hear from him if you do this. So I would recommend not doing it if only so that you can actually break away from this friendship and let it be unless you were friends with Sharon first. I don't think you have an obligation to tell her like it might be nice. You also never know what she would do with that information. You know, it's no guarantee that she's going to leave or that she won't blame you or whatever else. Yes. That's a big part of it too that I forgot to, I wasn't even thinking about, which is putting yourself in a situation where you go and tell somebody about their partners, cheating, infidelity or whatever. You have to kind of consider the possibility that it might not make a difference for that person and then you just become the odd. Right. And then you are the bad guy, right? You the stumbling block. You the, you one of the lows that kept them from from reaching happiness. Even if you don't want us to be happy. Right. Right. See? And I'm not doing all that. If not, if you feel like the friendship has run its course just let it be over and you know, if Sharon wants to sit around waiting on a ring from somebody who is demonstrating that he isn't on the same page as her, then I think that's got to got to be Sharon's. That's kind of got to be her issue. You know, this isn't extra kids or a wife. You know, somewhere that she don't know nothing about. This is, I mean, it's messy, but I wouldn't get involved no further. So me neither. Yeah. And I would definitely stop associating myself being like, well, since this friend is cheating, am I also this terrible wretched person who enables people to be there worse. Whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down. You kind of went off the deep end with all that red. It's not all that either. You can just let the friendship be over it and move on keeping your secrets to yourself so that you can just move on. Yeah. But yeah, at least you
realize now, like, maybe it's just that you grew up and this person didn't. - Yes. - That happens all the time. - It happens all the time. - Literally all the time. - And, and before we move on, if Sharon notices that her man and his friend of 12 years best friend or whatever, all of a sudden they're not friends anymore, she might take that as a big clue or a red flag or something too. - I was thinking that too. I don't know, since when do men, since when do men lose friends? (laughing) I just think I would notice if a 12 year friendship between my man and his friend, all of a sudden just fell apart like. - Especially if you had the conversation with him before you end the friendship, so he knows why. She's gonna ask him at some point, well why are you such a self-confident friend? - Yeah, with your friend. - Yeah, yeah. - His answer is gonna be dicey. - If not just a flat out lie. - So maybe tell him like, hey, one of the many reasons I can't be your friend no more is 'cause it's fucked up how you doing Sharon, but yeah, wouldn't tell her. Unless, like I said, I knew her beforehand and then I got to. All right, good luck red. Our last letter comes from Katie Perry who says, I'm a black woman in my early 30s and I recently went on a first date with another woman and it felt unusually good. We talked and left for hours and I felt like we really got each other. I've certainly experienced strong connections with people I've dated before, but this one felt unusually intense and I haven't felt this way about someone in several years, close to a decade. When I got home, I told her I had a great time and I wanted to see her again. She responded enthusiastically and said she felt me very attractive and had a great time and would love to go out again. We started trying to figure out a second date and then I fucked up on Friday afternoon while we were still discussing plans. I sent three texts that she left unanswered into Friday evening to about figuring out the time for the date and one, clarifying something that I said during our first date. It wasn't anything serious. We laughed it off, but I thought about it afterward and felt like I hadn't articulated myself well. That Friday night, I also had another first date scheduled someone else, but I ended up canceling because I wasn't in the mood or headspace for it and I honestly was not even excited to meet anyone else. My attention was completely on the first woman. But as Friday evening went on without a response, I became increasingly anxious. It being Friday night mattered to me because it's a prime date night and I started wondering whether she was out with somebody else or losing interest. I tried distracting myself, but eventually I sent another text saying that a friend had asked me to do something the day we were discussing and that since I hadn't heard back from her, maybe we could reschedule for the following week. She didn't respond until Saturday morning and her responses were perfectly reasonable on their face, but compared with the lengthy messages she sent at first, they seemed shorter and more to the point. I recognized that I may have been reading into all this and I have no idea why her communication seemed different and I'll never know whether my interpretation was correct, but at the time all of it seemed to confirmed, all of it seemed to confirm what I was afraid of. Her interest was decreasing while mine was skyrocketing. Instead of tolerating that uncertainty, I did my usual push pull thing and told her that I like her too much and I should probably bow out. - Love those. - I realized almost immediately that I made a mistake and told her that I didn't actually want to stop seeing her and that I had just gotten scared by how strongly I felt that she was confused and since she assumed that what I said was my way of politely rejecting her and she said that she don't chase people. I tried to fix it by apologizing and explaining what I actually meant and asked her if I could call because I felt like I was making things worse over text, but she told me she didn't know what she wanted me to say and then said take care and I hope you find whatever it is you looking for. That last part really hurt because in my mind, I felt like I had found what I was looking for in her. I sent several apologies and clarifications eventually acknowledged that I understood she didn't want to hear from me and that I would respect that but she didn't respond. I sent one more final, final message on the evening we were supposed to have our second date and I still haven't heard back. I know it sounds ridiculous to feel devastated about someone I only met once. I obviously didn't know her well enough to know whether she was actually perfect for me but as a queer woman of color, I haven't felt this strongly about someone in years. I've also been aware for some time that I need to work on my attachment issues I've been trying but finding the right therapist has been surprisingly difficult. So I'm trying to learn from this instead of just beating myself up. My questions, how do you distinguish intuition from anxiety when something genuinely feels different? How do you acknowledge that your perception might be valid without treating your interpretation as fact and how do you tolerate uncertainty when you're becoming increasingly interested in someone? Thanks so much, Katy Perry. Wow, this gave me anxiety. How do you tell the difference between intuition and just being anxious or a bit paranoid? I think that's a really good question because I think that many interactions between people but especially person that I like or a person I'm trying to build some sort of connection with, there are a lot of simple things that could give me anxiety. And I think text messages that don't get a response or that go very long without a response, give many people anxiety, depending on who it is that you're waiting for a message from. So I don't think that that's anything to question or be too wrapped up in. I suppose it's just what you do with the anxiety. Yeah. And how you communicate it, I would say try not to immediately act off of your anxiety ask yourself what is making you anxious versus what is true and what you can actually do in that moment inside out to you, baby. Oh, yes, got to go watch that for real. I might legit help. Hello, everybody. I'm anxiety. I don't want to really do a motion. Life is fun when you choose it. The bluing movie. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, how you tell the difference between that and intuition is a good question now. Well, I mean, what we learned in school is that anxiety will make your emotions feel ratcheted up. Whereas intuition will normally feel more like a calming, sort of inner voice, kind of like an inner guide, that sort of thing. Whereas anxiety makes you feel like something's very bad. First of all, intuition is almost like sometimes your intuition is that something is good or safe. Exitity is almost always like warning, warning danger, danger, danger, trying to get you to be aware of something that might happen, even though you don't really have a basis for it. Or like a historical representation of this happening. And it will feel a lot more frantic. Like you need to hurry up and do this, that sort of thing. So I think, what? Does it make sense to say that like anxiety has like this anticipatory element to it, where you're just like, you feel a sense of like urgency? Yeah, it will, the anxiety is, yes. I think it is, that's probably one of the main things to say about it, it feels very frantic and urgent. Like you gotta hurry up, hurry up, do this, do this. And it goes into like, if you don't do this, then blah, blah, blah. You kind of catastrophize. And worst case possible scenario starts swirling and all this, whereas intuition should be a much more peaceful kind of experience. And if you're asking yourself what the difference is, you're probably going, it's probably anxiety that you're experiencing. Yes, completely. I mean, what you described was 1,000 percent, right? Right. Yes. And you know that. I guess it's like it's fear-based. And you knew that, like Katy Perry said, I know that I need to work on my attachment issues. And I'm glad you brought it up because that is an anxious attachment and secure attachment if I've ever seen one. And Kim Fury is right that, you know, it is what you do with the anxiety that matters the most as far as like your relationships are concerned and having other people in your life, you know, family, friends, that sort of thing. It matters how you handle your anxiety so that you can keep those relationships healthy. But working with a trained professional will help you manage the anxiety in the first place, will help you get to a place where you can recognize, like, oh shit, I'm experiencing this right now because I really, really like you. This feels so special and so unique. And I haven't felt this way about somebody in so long. And so I'm scared that I'm gonna lose it.
I mean, you, you, you, you, you laid it out. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, yeah, you laid it out and so you know that you need that, um, that help of a licensed therapist and it is hard sometimes to find the right one. So I'm glad you're looking, keep, keep looking and don't settle until you find somebody that you feel comfortable with, that you feel like you can really make progress with. But yeah, this, I mean, it's unfortunate because it sound like you ran into a real nigga who said one thing about it, you're not gonna play with me, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. You only have one time to tell me that you feel like you like me too much and you need to fall back. First of all, are we in eighth grade like, I'm gonna say, that woman said, listen, I'm growing up. Okay. And so, and so since you feel like you need to take a step back because maybe you like me too much, I promise you're not gonna get another chance like that after one day, baby. So yes, a therapist, uh, should be able to help you, uh, put some space between the anxiety and how you act, not just so that you can not scare off people early and dating, but also so that you are not thrown into an anxious spiral every time you try to date somebody. Like this is something that you, uh, you can heal from it's gonna take some time and some work. But yeah, first you just need to be aware of how you're reacting like, how do you not acknowledge that your perception might be valid, just like that. Being able to say, oh, I'm in, what am I feeling right now? Why am I activated? Oh, I'm feeling anxious because I really like, oh girl. And I texted her three hours ago and she hasn't texted me back yet. Okay. That's how I'm feeling. And what do those feelings mean? Well, in my mind, they mean she don't like me anymore. What do they actually mean? It could be anything like what could actually be going on could be anything. Like you said, it's a Friday night. It's a big date night. It's a big social night. You even had a first day plan for Friday. So yeah, she could have been out with friends, but maybe she was out on another day. That wouldn't be the end of the world either because this is not your girl. And just because she had a first day with somebody, don't mean she gonna pick them over you. Don't mean this is like this. This is, you know, just things for you to kind of try to notice about what's coming up for you so that you can talk to yourself in a calm or way and just kind of slow those feelings down. But yeah, it can be hard when, especially if you're the type who's like, and every time my intuition do this or every time I get the feeling, I be right every time. Oh, but okay. What are you really saving yourself from, though? That's the question to ask yourself. Because in this situation, what did you really, what were you really at risk of losing? You didn't even have it yet. And so it really became a self fulfilling prophecy that you were stressed out about losing this girl and that that stress took over and then you turned around and lost this girl. It's like, yeah. So keep looking for that therapist, but, um, yeah, I think what you need to definitely don't text the same girl no more, but get back in the meantime, get back out there, start dating again for real. And when you notice this feeling coming up, you know, try to try to take a second to really sit and look at it and ask yourself what you're experiencing. And I'm only saying it like this to you because I also used to be anxiously attached. And this that you're describing, I have been through and I know this feeling intimately. I just have way too much pride and I will not text the new girl. So if I don't hear from you, you will not hear from me. And so I'll just be over there in my own little tornado of, oh my God, what is she doing? This is, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Like I'll just be over there doing all that internally. You'll never know, but that was before. It's a suicide. You just don't even take that long to say it. It usually don't. And when you notice this and you start talking to yourself, like, oh, what's coming up? I'm feeling anxious. Oh, you know what? That's because I really like that girl. But let me just chill and see how things unfold naturally. You might be shocked at how quickly that feeling passes. Once you just acknowledge it and say, hey, I'm not ashamed of you. I'm not mad at you. But I see how I'm feeling. I'm going to look at it and let the feeling know that I see it so that it can move its happiest on out of here. And. Is there a persona for how the main characters of that are often met with these shadow spirits in another world that will that take like the embodiment of themselves and then they kind of they project these like feelings like, oh, I just want a man. And I'm in love and then it turns into this like TV show where they're looking for love and then talking, just talking all kinds of shit or I'm jealous of this person or I want this person back. I miss. And then when they meet the spirit that is taunting them when they go, I'm not like that. I'm not that person. You're not me. And that spirit would like transform and try to kill them. Oh, the moment that they it's a video game. But then the moment that they go, you are me that is a part of me and I'm not ashamed of it. It goes away and they get super powers. What's this game called panorama? What's your say for her persona, okay, I like that. I like that persona. I love that one too. Yes, that's a big one for people with anxiety. You know, reminding yourself that just because you're feeling something doesn't mean that it's true. Your feelings can be valid without being rooted in reality or fact. So, but yeah, keep looking for a therapist and try even just googling stuff on psychology today and other accredited psychology related websites. They usually have some tips to help people at the bare minimum, some tips to help you chill out before you start texting somebody out of it. After you start having your anxiety spiral all over, I miss. It'll be like, I actually don't even like you anymore, oh, baby, bless that Katie. [email protected], we'll be right back. Hey, folks, we're back. It's time for the read and I am. I'm simultaneously glad that I have this beautiful plush rug in here now because you can't hear link tip-to-tip on hardwood floors and I'm also a bit concerned because now I can't hear her come in. So I turn on and I get jump scare by 12 pound Yorkie who's just sitting here staring at me. I did not know you were in here. Hi. Hi, baby. Hi, baby. You want to cross thing high, baby? Hi, pretty girl. Want to sniff sniff? Say hi to them. Wow. I'm paying you to this, does. Right. She just wants to your mommy's lab. Right. So I'm going to do this one because it's really silly. Jason Kelsey don't play with me. I thought these bitches were very serious. So Jason Kelsey did this collaborative marketing campaign with liquid death, which is a water brand. First of all, love liquid death. Very, very good water. I think I had it for the first time at Coachella or some festival outside and I love it because it looks like a beer bottle or a beer can. So some people think that I'm drinking beer like I've had a liquid death. Oh, yes, yes, this trainer was like, are you are you drinking liquor? And they're trying to do that. Damn. No, it's water anyway. So they linked up and did this ad campaign where they said they're selling these, they're selling these glass jars that they want for buyers to urinate in and then send their urine back to the company so they could use it to cool down AI data centers like the millions and millions of gallons of water that they apparently used to cool days now. Now Jason, I don't know much about you outside of being a tail swips husband brother. Um, and I, I don't regret that. And that's plenty. Yeah. Kind of shame. That's good. Um, even in my sports, caster, trolling, element, I won't even pretend like how I just fluffed about it. And you ever did it? I don't. I based on a headline and I will.
I remember exactly who I read this at first so I could include y'all. I thought these bitches were dead serious because that's how the world works today. Of course you would, like how, you're not shipping your NB for real. Yeah. I was like, this is the dumbest shit in the world and it sounds about white. Thankfully, they're actually trolling AI data centers. Yeah. Yeah. I would have, like, clicked on the link before I got upset and looked at the video. Look at the actual jar they're selling, which is basically just amazing jar. You were pissed. Oh, sorry. No pun intended. You were, I rate because I'm like, of course, I'm, I'm old old. Yeah. You fell for it. Damn. I could get conned at them all. Then fuck them all. You've been a fall for AI. Somebody finished. Yeah. Seriously. There's going to be a face time for my mother that's going to be like, I can have borrow $10,000. It's going to be a fake voicemail from your daddy. Talk about, I'm in jail. I need you to wire $3,300 to this phone number right now. All right. So, yeah, Jason, liquid death, y'all garage beer, you got me, um, I'm glad at the very least that this non April, um, this non April fool's prank, yeah, was simply a prank. And it was a prank that I think, I think it was a prank for good. Yeah. I did too. It was a prank for good. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. AI data centers. Wow. Get them out. Cooling. So, we're using millions of millions and gallons of water per data center to cool off these computers so that you can make, uh, a video clip of AI Diana Ross reading herself. Have you seen that change, Bob? No. No. Wait. I should've known. It was too specific to be general. I should've known. Oh, my gosh. I asked you if you're going to talk to me and you haven't seen it. I have nothing. Is it, is it Diana Ross? Literally. Also, genuinely AI Diana Ross sitting there and it's something like all the crazy things Diana Ross did to, to further her career. And it's like her sitting, um, her sitting down somewhere in like the 60s. Mm-hmm. And it'll be like, oh, she points like to the right. And then it pans over and it's her and like a couple of years later, Dayton Bayer Gord, and then he's pointing to Ryan and it's like, here's what she changed the name to Diana Ross at this point. And it's all her and the rest of these people, AI versions of them look like whatever year they're referencing. Also, they can just be like, wasn't Diana Ross a shady old bitch? Yeah, come on, come on, you burning up me, my house for this Flint still ain't got clean water. And won't, not with you niggas on the case. I would challenge this genetic chat GPT bullshit that's all coming up with. I pray I don't see that AI videos make me feel physically uncomfortable. That's how I know that AI. They make me feel weird. I feel the exact same way. I had a TV on one of those like Pluto TV things that I let run in the background and I'm like cooking or doing some work. I don't remember which one of those things it was on, but there was a commercial that came up for maybe some jewelry or some shit. And the whole thing was AI human beings. No, I felt like no, I felt like I was in the conjuring or some movie where like a demon pop up of your house, I felt haunted because those aren't people, but you want me to think that they are. Those aren't people. Like demons. Damn, that's such a good point. Exactly. That's why my spirit don't feel right when I see that it just thank you. What are you doing in my house? Why are you in my life? You're not a person and you have absolutely, and you want me to think you know, right? You write actually the more I think you can learn me and close and then yeah, so they can kill you. Yep. Yeah. So to AI data centers, fuck y'all and to Jason Kelsey for almost getting dragged bitch. Oh, you look like you would do that. He do. That's why I mean, it was a perfect partnership. He absolutely looked like he would ship some damn urine, but I'm sorry, that's so funny. They really is funny. I love that. Yeah. He seems to be a cool white man, but you know, he's still a white man. So I'm not going to give him too much. Listen. Because you never know. This fucking podcast. Right. Right. So let's leave it at that. Speaking of white man, Stephen A Smith is pissed. Because the National Association of Black Journalists gave him the Thumbs Down Award, which is something they give when they're fed the fuck up with you and your niggagannigans. And so this year, I think a record five different people and organizations got the Thumbs Down. But of course, the big one was Stephen A who was singled out for his recurring public pattern of disparaging commentary directed at prominent black women across politics sports and media. Those prominent black women include, of course, former vice president Kamala Harris, representative Jasmine Crockett, journalist joy and read and probably lots and lots more. So shout out to NABJ for doing their biggest and something that is, I'm sorry, independently fucking hilarious. And what does Stephen A Smith do, ran to his white, pappy fox news and shoved they dick directly down his throat, talking about, how can I say bad things about black women when I have a black mother and black sisters Stephen, like, Stephen, what a dumbass. It don't take that actually you like if having a black mother meant that people no longer disrespected black women, we would be living on a completely different planet. What are you talking about? Right one. But if simply being related to a black woman meant that people respected black women, where do you think we live, bro, what, what, what type of world do you think this is anyway? He was on Fox News telling them white people how these niggas have done him wrong. He went on Twitter saying that this felt like Christmas that come early and now, you know, they had they turn he fed a half he is and let's see who's really going to get a thumbs down after I say what I have to say, it's still you. Girl shit, it's still you, it's going to be you. And I think the NABJ even maybe soon, that this would happen or, you know, could probably tell that he was gone respond by having a bitch fit because the president of NABJ, NABJ Aaron Haines said, you know, this is not a punishment. The goal is progress and progress doesn't happen without pressure. So you can consider this your pressure and we don't care about these corporate partners just because you are a partner does not mean we're going to be quiet. It doesn't mean you write a check to this organization and then we surrender our voice. And so I say that maybe they said that preemptively because Disney is the parent company of ESPN, where Stephen A Smith of course terrorizes all of us who just want to watch mindless sports shit in the background and here he goes screaming and hollering about the goddamn nicks or LeBron or whatever else. So just love seeing Stephen A Smith upset love that when somebody said, hey, maybe you should do a better job and not disparage black women the way you do. Maybe you know sit with that and what is actually being said to you along with the receipts to back it up as opposed to immediately running to the white man in town when on the niggas like what. And so then what you look as stupid as fucking Caitlyn Jenner going on Fox News talking about I and S canter and Royce White are making a good point by declaring themselves for the W NBA draft because it ought to be simple trans women don't belong and as a trend as the trans woman she is having heard I'm the trans woman I just know she is their uncle ruckus and I know every time she talk all the other white trans women be like my god my god if you would just shut the fuck up Caitlyn like you anyway that's what you look like you look like Caitlyn Jenner right now running to your oppressor to be like but but but but I'm on your side when it come to them girl and a BJ didn't lie on you you know it's at no point that he say oh I don't I'm innocent of what it's been said to me it was just right - I can't park.
possibly I've done it because I was born of a black woman. That's not enough, baby. So, love to see even a Smith, you know, pissed off and in industries. - Also, isn't it, it feels wild to run to the ops and say the exact same thing that Niggas say to you when they say, "Why are you disrespecting black women?" - Mm-hmm. - You know what I mean, like, you, your mama black, you got black sisters or black daughters, and here you go. - Yeah. - And then you run to Fox News and I'm like, "But I have black mother, so how could I?" (laughing) Like you do, you just gotta go there and speak to the absolute bottom of the barrel dummies. And so, let me just say some shit that they would say. - Right. - Fucking idiot. - Um, I'm also going to, yeah, you know what, right, why not? I'm going to pass a read. ♪ Pass the read I used to ♪ - Thank you so much to whoever tagged me in this on TikTok. The person who tagged this is named at tevin.m.davis. Tevin had a word for one Nicki Minaj. She said, "You had my vote. Byron, please support him in any way you can." Ah, Nicki, can I call you Nicki? You had my vote as an interesting choice of words considering you cannot cast one. But I've been watching this political transformation of yours and you've made one thing abundantly clear. You can go through a transformation and still never exemplify any growth. You have not arrived at some higher level of consciousness. You have simply become more confident in the depths of contradictions that you no longer possess the discernment to recognize. So seems to me, somebody needs to bring you back to life, back to reality. Taking the politics is not automatically me. You have elevated your perspective. Fame can get you into power for rooms. It cannot guarantee you understand what your presence is doing inside of them. Back in 2018, when the Trump administration was separating migrant children from their parents, you were reminded the world that you came to this country at five years old with our legal status. You said you could not imagine the horror and you plead it for it to stop. Interesting how clearly you understood cruelty before proximity to power made it easier to overlook. You once withdrew of offenders from Saudi Arabia specifically to support women, LGBTQ people, and freedom of expression. Intriguing. Some have suggested that this may be your long-term plan to earn your citizenship, but oh, how selfish that would be. Looking out for yourself is easy. Carrying for other people is the hard to work, especially when doing so may cause your convenience. Because character is not mentioned by how well you protect yourself. It's mentioned about whether or not you still care about other people who wants your own safety is acquired. By Nikki, your own dialogue makes the contradiction almost embarrassingly easy to recognize. You gave us freedom, and yet you lend your celebrity to politics where freedom seems considerably less sacred when somebody else is the one fighting to keep it. You gave us moment for life, and yet you are spending this moment as a black woman standing in rooms that understand precisely what your presence can purchase from it. You think you disrupted the room when you were actually just decorating it. You gave us no frauds, and yet you stand next to a 34 count convicted felon. You gave us the pink print and somehow ended up living inside of somebody else's blueprint. Because underneath every character and re-advention there was still a whole niche of a rage. And isn't that last name a rage? Interesting. It's almost as if even your last name alluded to what you inevitably would become synonymous with. Something that looks powerful in the distance, but disappears the closer you look at. And you call yourself a Barbie, which is almost too apropos. Because Barbie is controlled, and only taken out when somebody else decides she is useful. Nikki, what is the purpose of spending your whole life becoming Barbie, if any, and you are still confined to the four corners of somebody else's box? And after all-- Why is he not wearing a coat? The character you created, perhaps the cruelest irony is that this final character is the first one powerful enough to erase you. You spent your whole life trying to become bigger than the packaging, only to discover that the packaging was exactly as big as you were willing to become. There is nothing we could do to hinder you more than what you have already chosen to do to yourself. All we had to do was step back and let you become your own greatest opposition. No one had to cancel you, Unica. Barbie got back in the box, and did that all by herself. So again, that is Tevin M. Davis on TikTok.
