The Anointing That Testifies // Paul Bergin | The Belonging Co

And Moses said to the congregation in verse 5, "This is the one thing that the Lord has commanded to be done, and Moses brought Aaron and his sons and washed them with water. Down to verse 10, then Moses took the anointing oil and everyone said oil. Everyone said water. So like in Australia, water. And anointed the tabernacle and all that was in it and consecrated them. And he sprinkled some of it on the altar seven times and anointed the altar and all its utensils and the basin and its stand to consecrate them. And he poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron's head and anointed him to consecrate him. And Moses brought Aaron's sons and closed them with coats and tides sashes around their waist and bound caps on them as the Lord commanded Moses. It's precursors the armor of God if you want to go there." But jump down to verse 22, then he presented the other ram, the ram of ordination and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram and he killed it. And Moses took some of his blood, say blood and put it on the lobe of Aaron's right ear on the thumb of his right hand on the big toe of his right foot, right speaks of authority of power. And he presented Aaron's sons and Moses put some of the blood on the lobes of the right ears and the thumbs of the right hands, the big toes of the right feet and Moses threw the blood against the sides of the altar. First John 5 says, "This is who came by water and blood. Jesus Christ, not by the water only but by the water and the blood and the spirit is the one who testifies because the spirit is the truth." For there are three, everyone say three, that testify, the spirit and the water and the blood and these three agree. "Father, we thank You for Your Holy Spirit that was sent by Jesus Christ." And he said, "It's better that I go that the spirit be poured out on earth amongst all of us. Father, we thank You that You have called Your church to do greater works than Christ, which is unfathomable that possibly happened. But God, You have called us as a collective, as a body, as a church to be ambassadors and representatives of Christ on earth. And You didn't leave us helpless to do that. You have given us Your Spirit and You have given us Your anointing to do so. So I pray today that someone has the revelation that God, that You are with them by Your spirit to do the anointed works of God wherever they are. May You get all the glory and all the praise. We lift our hands as a sign of surrender and victory that we are more than overcomers in Christ Jesus. And all God's people shouted, lift your hands and give Him some praise today. He's awesome. You may be seated. If You ever been to Israel, perhaps You visited the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is an amazing place. But the Bible actually says that the river of God will one day flow into the Dead Sea and it will be revived, it will be revitalized and that which was dead will be alive. If You go to the Dead Sea, they try and sell You lots of things and especially the mud in the bottom of the Dead Sea. And what You do with this mud is very high in minerals and magnesium and sodium and potassium and all kinds of things. And You put this on Your skin, You smear it all over Your body, all over Your face and it feels disgusting at the time that You're doing it. But by the time You're finished, it feels amazing. The toxins are withdrawn out of Your body. Your skin is feeling revitalized. It's a modern day facial and Israel was the first to start it. It's like putting cucumbers on Your eyes, women and all that stuff. You know You walk out of the bathroom as a "Hazgah!" And You realize that they're cleansing their skin, who's that person behind all that stuff. It is called the smearing of the mud and then they try and sell You bottles and products of that for hundreds of dollars and You go home broke. But it's totally worth it. Why do I say all that? Because the word "annointing" means to smear. The anointed one is Jesus Christ. Can I get an amen? He's the Messiah. The word Messiah in Hebrew is Meshiak. Meshiak is where the word we get smear. The word in Greek is Christos or Kraya where we get to apply oil. He is the anointed one. The Messiah who has come to seek and save that which has lost. And so when we think of smeared with the anointing, what we're really talking about is this. The anointing, okay I'm going to try and demystify it a little bit. You know? Not just the anointing, just the anointing. You know, she's anointed and he's not. That song had the anointing and that didn't. I sort of get where people are going. But I sort of just want to bring this home today that the anointing is the empowering of the Holy Spirit upon a person to do a specific function or task that points people to Jesus. The anointing is the empowering of the Holy Spirit that comes upon a person to do a specific task or function that points people to Jesus. The anointing is the empowering of the Holy Spirit upon a person to do a task and a function to point people to Jesus. That seems reasonable. That seems attainable. The anointing is not just gifting and influencing, goose bumps as we're characterised. No, sometimes we over characterise those things on stage but under-emphasise the things of character and spiritual formation and suffering and long obedience. These things that we need and anointing to do. How many know that you need an anointing to be a father? You need an anointing to be a mother. You need an anointing to be a dad. A mom, you need an anointing to be an employee. Sometimes you need an anointing to be a human being and represent Jesus Christ on this earth. I'm not talking about talents and gifts. The anointing is not attracted to talents or gifts. This church prioritises character and heart and the anointing upon someone's life over talent and gift and by we have a lot of talent in this church. The anointing is not attracted to that. The anointing is attracted to people who can show Christ to someone. See this is the difference between someone who is very gifted, who can sing the heck out of a song and someone who can sing and reveal Jesus Christ. There's a big difference between the anointing and gifting. There's someone who can make a lot of money in this world and you have been a gift and talents and ideas but there's an anointing upon someone to make a lot of money for the kingdom of God to bless others. That's a whole different story. You see I wanted to distinguish today that the anointing is the spirit of God upon your life for the service of others. If it's not for the service of others it's not the anointing. Selfishness absorbed in your own agenda thinking that you are it and a bit. Can I just remind you ever so humbly today that you are simply anointed dirt? Breathe into by God and without His breath, without His spirit, without His ruak, without His numa in the Greek without that breath of God, you are nothing but clay. Don't get too high on your horse to think that I have achieved this, this and this. Friend you can achieve nothing apart from the spirit of God, apart from Christ you can do nothing. And if you think you can do something, am I preaching? If you think you can do something, it's only going to be temporary and have no eternal worth. That's the difference between the anointing and talent, the anointing matters in eternity. I want the anointing. I want the anointing to preach. I want the anointing to love. I want the anointing to raise my kids. I want the anointing to be a good leader and disciple of Christ. I want the anointing to love people. I can't stand. I want the anointing to understand the Word and articulate and communicate it to a people that need to hear it. I want the anointing for boldness and courage when I feel fear. I want the anointing and solutions when I'm mind like frazzled and frustrated and I'm at the end of my life. What do I do here? I need the anointing every day. And it's available because you already have it. How do I know? The Bible tells me so. John chapter 226 says this, I write these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you. They're trying to deceive about who Christ is and all kinds of conjecture. But it says this, but the anointing that you receive from him abides in you. Did you read that? The anointing that you receive abides in you. Turn your neighbor and say you got the anointing and you have no need that anyone should teach you. Now, don't listen to the pastor and not read your Bible. talking about you don't need anyone else to declare who Jesus Christ is. to, they're trying to bring confusion around the person of Christ. You know, you've seen, you've witnessed, but as he's anointing, teaches you about everything and is true and is no lie, I do not lie, just as it has taught you abide in him. Pause. Every believer has the Holy Spirit within them. You didn't come to Christ without him, without him, not it. Every believer has the, am I preaching to somebody today? Every believer has the Holy Spirit within them, therefore according to his Word, every believer is anointed. You are smeared with the anointed one from the very inside out to reveal the anointing of the God which points to Christ, the anointed, the Messiah, the Mishyak. The problem with an anointing is that we try to circumvent to shortcuts its expression in our life. There ain't no anointing without consecration. There ain't no anointing without process. We want power without it. We want influence without surrender. We want anointing without dying to self. Friends, God will not anoint your will. He anoints his will. If you're frustrated, if you're failing time and time and time and time, ask yourself this question. Am I trying to receive God's blessing upon my purposes or his? Because you will not find the anointing on your ambition, on your agenda, on your will. No, not my will, but yours be done. You see, the anointing is represented by things that flow, by oil, by water, by blood. And if you're not in alignment with the flow, you're outside of it. And therefore you are trying to do things in your own strength, in your own exhaustion, and you'll get to a threshold in life where you realize I can't do this. And friends, that's a great place to be. Because then you have a choice. You can get frustrated and moped and put your head between your tail, between your legs, as the saying goes. But friends, you have a chance to say, Holy Spirit, I need your anointing. I need you to open my eyes today. I need the solution. I've tried to pray for my child who's away from God. I've tried to pray for my parent who's in hospital right now. Whatever the situation is, my business is going under. Friends, you have the anointing within you that teaches you everything about Christ and His kingdom. Call upon His name. See Him, be hungry for Him, and He will teach you, and He will show you. Therefore the anointing requires humility, repentance. It's attracted to it. He's attracted to a humble spirit. He's attracted to someone who gets in the line of His will and of His agenda and says, "Not mine, but yours be done." And so when the priests were anointed, I'm trying to show you a picture today of what it takes to operate in the anointing. There's a specific order that matters. There's a specific process that takes place. There are first washed clean, Aaron and his sons are washed clean. And by the way, we are priesthood, a royal priesthood. Can I come down here? Is this possible? This is great. Can my men follow me? The priest is washed clean first. He shows a sign that Christ has washed us all, washing by the water of His word. And then what happens is they are clothed. They are clothed with scarlet yarn and linens exactly like the temple of purple and blue and gold. And it replicates how the temple is actually dressed in its curtains and its drapes. So beautiful, so glorious. So the priest mimics the temple because the temple is the mediation place where heaven meets earth. And that's what happens with the priest there, the mediator, the conveyor of God's word. We're heaven meets earth. They are washed and they are clothed. You are clothed with Christ today. You're anointed because Christ has clothed you. Christ is in you. Do you know that Paul says in you 164 times in the Bible, if you do not know that Christ and His Spirit dwells in you, you should because it will be liberating for your life. Your wash, your clothes and then the third thing is that oil is placed upon your life. Oil is anointed from your head to your toe. It's interesting to me that oil comes before blood. The oil is the witness. The oil is the consecration. The oil says, "I anoint you before what you do or don't do, before your sins, before your actions, before you need redemption. I'm going to anoint you and call you out because it's not what you do. It's what I've done." You're anointed not because of what you did or have done because what Jesus has done. That is a liberating fact. That will set you free from works. That will set you free from exhaustion. That will set you free from struggling and toiling and wondering why. No, no, you throw yourself on the mercy of God's work. And finally, you're sprinkled with blood on your ear, on your thumb and on your toe. This is the process of sanctification. This is the process of consecration. This is designed to flow through your life like the river of God flowing through the Scriptures. In Genesis 2, we see this river being poured out, so to speak. It flows from the garden, it eats and out into the world into four rivers. And this river flows through the whole Bible. It flows through the priesthood, it flows through the temple, and it flows through the verbiage of Ezekiel's vision in Ezekiel chapter 47. It says this, "And He brought me back to the door of the temple and behold, water was issuing from below the threshold of the temple towards the yeast." Everyone say thresholds. God's going to bring you to a threshold in your life. Time and time again. You may be at one right now. Where am I going? What's next, God's? What do you have me to do right now? These are exciting places. Don't ignore the threshold. What's the threshold? Every door has a threshold. In Israel, the threshold was actually raised. And the doorkeepers would sit outside the thresholds, gazing in on the beauty and the presence of God within the temple, stopping that which was unclean from coming in. They had a responsibility as equal as the worship leaders within the temple. They would clean the utensils, they would prepare things, they would prepare the showbread and all kinds of things. They would gatekeepers in the house of God. And I'd rather be one of those that sit in the seat of wickedness. Avival. Freshholds are places of transition, of moments of humans reacting to change. Maybe feel like you've come out of one place and you're not fully sure of what you've entered into or what's up ahead. But the Bible has many examples of thresholds, moments of change, of the Israelites being at the threshold of the Red Sea and God delivering them. And then the Israelites being at the threshold of the Jordan River and God entering into their presence, into the promises that He has for them. The veil being torn is a threshold moment of entering into His presence for Jew and for Gentile. The cross is the ultimate threshold where death then became a life. There are so many thresholds and you may be in one right now. I want to encourage you friend, the Holy Spirit has anointed you not just to stop at that threshold, but to pass right through that. There is a deeper place of intimacy. There is a place of greater fruit and multiplication as you go from the outer courts to the Holy place and the Holy Holies of which we exist, that threshold, that threshold, that threshold you are in the most intimate place right now you possibly can with the Holy Spirit. There's a place in which His river wants to continue flow to you and through you. Ezekiel saw that God is the source of life giving and healing waters which flowed from His sanctuary, quenching human thirst and life offering forgiveness and salvation. It's the nointing that flows through you. We know these as the rivers of living water. So it flows from Genesis in the Eden Garden, then to the temple through the priest through Ezekiel's vision and then we get to the New Testament in John chapter 7 and we see this festival of water, the water festival of Sukkot or the tabernacles. And in John 7 it says this, "On the last day of the feast, the great day Jesus stood up and cried out, 'If anyone thirst let him come to me and drink.' Is anyone thirsty in this house right now?" Whoever believes in me as the Scripture has said, 'Our of His heart will flow.' Rivers of living water. Now this makes sense. Now starting the rivers continuing. The rivers of living water. It's almost like water is attracted to water. This river. It's flowing out of Jesus and he stands up on the last day of this festival which they would pour out water offerings every day. They would declare the goodness of God for the harvest they just had and anticipate the harvest that he will provide for in the future. And they would quote Isaiah 12 verse 3, "With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation." And so they would pour out water in one channel and then also pour out wine in another channel. And so what you have is the water and the wine converging together in this ceremony. Jesus steps up the inn and goes, "I'm the fulfillment of this ceremony without saying those words. If anyone comes to me and is thirsty, they're in drink. If anyone thirsts, you see I've realized the anointing is not attracted to those who think they're worthy. It's attracted to those who are thirsty." There's something about a thirsty person that attracts the empowering of the Holy Spirit. David was thirsty. David was a shepherd, a songboy, a worshiper out in the fields. He didn't need the accolades. He didn't need the scene nature of his other brothers. He was overlooked. We know the story, but David had this devotion to God, this intentional, just God, take not your spirit from me. This pouring out of his heart that attracted the anointing of God, that God said, "I found a man after my own heart." It's almost like heaven just went, "Such." He sinned more than Saul. He can make a very good case for that. But his repentant humble spirit attracted the anointing. Saul failed to do that. He's pride at the Spirit of God left him and he didn't even know it. Tozer says this amazing saying. He says this, "If the Holy Spirit were drawn from the church today, if the Holy Spirit were withdrawn from the church today, 95% of what we do would go on and no one would know the difference." That's what happened to Saul. We are so self-sufficient sometimes, aren't we? We are sometimes ignorant that he is even in the room movie. Aren't you glad you're part of a church that doesn't rely on man's agenda and knowledge and eloquence? And we do things excellent, but friends, you get the heart of this leadership and you understand we are nothing without the Holy Spirit. We are nothing without the anointing. I know my limits. I'm tired of my own voice, my own words. They go so far, God has gifted each one of us, but it goes so far. It will fall. You need the anointing. It's the game changer. It's the different maker. He's the person who closed you to do what you cannot do. The river of God flows towards thirsty people. God doesn't anoint ambition, talent, charisma. The anoints surrender, holiness, devotion, a willingness to hunger and thirst. I love this story of hunger in the book of Acts chapter 8. It's the most wildest story. You don't need to preach your own stories. Preach the Bible stories. They're wild. This Ethiopian travels from Ethiopia to Jerusalem to worship God. He's a God-fearing Gentile. This is the whole summary of the book of Acts in chapter 1 verse 8 where it says, "And you shall remain in the upper room, wait for me, and you shall receive power to be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the hour ends of the earth." Well, Ethiopia is about as far as you can get in the known world from the outer ends of the earth. It's as far as you can get from Jerusalem. 1600 miles, traveled by horse and chariot to come to Jerusalem to worship God. And we complain traveling 25 minutes down the highway to get to church. See, this sort of hunger goes, "I'm attracted to this man." This man's hungry for something. This man's going to go on a journey through pain and probably risk being ambushed or his life, but he wants to become an worship God. And Philip, the first evangelist, gets this vision woken up or an angel of the law, which is wild. And he says, "All right, I need you to go to Gaza." So Philip's in Jerusalem. We've got all the countries in the region covered here. He passes through Samaria and he goes to the place of Gaza. Now Gaza is represented of the Philistines of evil, of everything anti-Christ, anti-God. And so you've got this wild picture of someone starting out in Jerusalem going through Samaria, meeting an Ethiopian from the outer ends of the earth, and the spirit of God directing Philip to go to this place of Gaza and evil and lead a Gentile to Christ who's reading the scroll of Isaiah chapter 53 that says like a lamb led to the slaughter, like a sheep before its shearer. He was silent and he opened not his mouth. And this Ethiopians going, "Who is this man? I know Yahweh, I know God the Father, but who is Isaiah talking about?" And Philip goes, "Oh, you want to know?" "The angel of the Lord woke me up, the anointing of the Holy Spirit came upon me in the night, and I ran to your chariot and Ethiopian, that man that you read about is Jesus Christ, and here's the good news. He died for you. He rose again and he's here to save your soul." By the way, would you like to get baptized? I saw no reason. I saw no reason not to be baptized. This is they came to a desert place, but then all of a sudden, what do you know? Oh, water appears. It's wild. Never doubt God what he can do. Never doubt God how he can orchestrate something just, "Oh, I need to get baptized. Oh, here's some water. Oh, I need provision. Oh, here's some money to pay your rent. Oh, I need an idea. God, I need a solution in my business. Bang, praying faster. For hunger, praying and end and devoting yourself to Christ and the Holy Spirit, it can reveal the world to you. The secrets of the kingdom." He goes down into the water, comes up. Philip gets taken away to another place. He ends up at the beach at Cesarera. Don't employ your mind. You think the Ethiopian is tripping? Think about Philip. All cause one man was obedient to the anointing of the Holy Spirit. He says today that three quarters of Ethiopia claim Christ as the Savior and Lord. This man went back to Ethiopia 1600 miles and preached the gospel and told people what happened to him. Don't underestimate the power of one moment, of one anointed word, of one direction, of one person that you meet, of one divine encounter, of one relationship, of one business, the thing that God sets up. Don't underestimate what God will do with someone who is hungry and thirsty. Give him some praise. The oil comes next. The water in the oil Moses took the anointing oil and the anointing of the tabernacle, all that was in it, and the hands are placed on the head of the animal. Often think about this and think about it from a long time. They would press their weight. They would lean. They would lean on the animal. They would trust the Lord with all their heart and lean on their own understanding, but all their ways acknowledge him. And I thought it was the transfer of sins to this animal that would be sacrificed, but that's done with the scapegoat. That was sent out of the city walls out into the wilderness. That carried the sins of the people on the day of atonement, but this sacrifice is blameless and pure and righteous. It's almost like the person who has laid the hands on the head of the animal is saying, I'm that animal. You know what I mean? I'm righteous. Someone has to die because of the curse of sin, but I'm going to make an exchange, but I'm going to see God's going to see you as a righteousness in this exchange because the animal is taking on the death that you deserve, but it's a righteous and blameless offering. Stop seeing yourself laying your hands as a sinful, woeful worm of this world and see your life through the eyes of Jesus Christ as someone righteous offered up to him to do good works. Either or it's both, but this is the offering that takes place. The thresholds of oil start to flow down the beard of Aaron and his robes, and it says in Psalm 133, "Behold how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity." It is like the precious oil on the head running down on the beard, on the beard of Aaron running down on the collar of his robes. You see, unity is a big deal. It commands the blessing of God. It's almost like it attracts the anointing the blessing of God. Oil flows as one. and it flows to the outer edges of the garments. You wonder why the woman with the issue reached out and touched what the edges of the garment of Jesus Christ. Do you know what's on the edges where the edges has tassels? The tassels represent the 613 commandments of God. Those tassels were woven with eight threads. Eight is the number of new beginnings. She was reaching out to the living Word of God that had a new beginning and a new story from it. And the power was at the edges of Christ because it flows from the center out to the world, out to the Gentile, out to the misfit, out to the overlook. That's what that story is about. You wonder why there's healing in his wings because he was a prayer shawl, a tallid, and in the edge of his wings there is healing. Whenever they'd pray they'd lift up, it would look like wings. This is the wings of Christ. There is healing in the edges of his life for those who are hungry enough to go after it. Running down, the oil runs down, it runs down. And Jesus says, "Hey, I'm the threshold in which it runs into because he says in John 10, "I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and go out." He was the threshold to the sheep pen. He was the actual gate. In fact, he'd lie in front of the pen. That's what the shepherd would do. And it's like, "You've got to get past me if you want to get to salvation." And you've got to get past me if you want to attack my sheep. You've got to get through me if you want to know life. He was the gateway. He was the thresholds. He's the threshold to salvation. And he says, "Look for a day, "the spirit of the Lord is upon me "because he is anointed me to proclaim good news "to the poor." Turn to your name and say, "He's anointed you." He has sent me to proclaim the liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind to set at liberty those who are oppressed. He's anointed you to set the captive free. He's anointed you to declare the day of the Lord's favor. He's anointed you to talk to your neighbor. He's anointed you to get on the phone and ask for forgiveness for your father. He's anointed you to talk to that person that you never talked to at your workplace. He's anointed you to lay hands on someone and see them set free. He's anointed you to have a word of knowledge wherever you are. He's anointed you to raise kids. He's anointed you in your kitchen in your car. Not just on a platform. He's anointed you to do good works. The Holy Spirit doesn't come upon methods and plans. He comes upon people. As a lady by the name of Jenny Mors, she end up being the wife of William J. Seymour. If you read anything about the Azusa Street Revival, you'll know her name. But it says, "The Spirit of God poured out one night. "The anointing came upon her service "and this woman who never knew anything about the piano. "Sat down at the piano and begin to play fluently. "She began to speak in Hebrew. "Never knew a word of Hebrew. "Spoke a new language and played a new instrument "for the first time and for the rest of her life. "She played piano. "That's what the anointing can do. "That's what the Spirit of God can do. "It can take someone who knows nothing. "I was once lost for no one's fow. "I didn't know what the answer was, "but the anointing came and gave it to me. "I didn't have a gift for God poured out "and gifts him my life. "I don't know what to do with him anymore. "This is the anointing. "We have to get past. "We have to get past the ways of man "if we're going to see revival in this. "We have to. "We have to. "We have to seek His power. "He's for His ability. "He's efficiency. "He's much. "That's what power means. "The Holy Spirit came upon a man called D.L. Moody. "He ever heard of him. "He was walking the streets of New York one day, "frustrated at where he was in his ministry, "seeing zero results. "And one day the power of the Holy Spirit came upon him. "A love so deep he had to get off the street. "He was weeping and wailing so much he found a friend's room "in the streets of New York. "And he says, God, stay with me in this room. "He come out of that room and he says, "I went to preach again. "I preached the same sermon, but this time, "hundreds of people were getting saved. "Why? "Because the anointing of the Holy Spirit had come upon him. "He had an encounter with the Lord, "and the results multiplied. "This is what the Spirit of God does." Are you getting the point? It's the water, it's the oil, it's the blood, it redeems and it covers. You notice it's placed on the ear, the thumb, and the toe. I can make a whole sermon out of this. The ear is how we listen and climb. You're ear to hear the words from the mouth of God. The hand is what you do to serve. It's being the doorkeepers in the house of the God, the doorkeepers of the threshold, and the foot represents where we walk and how we walk our conduct. These scriptures start to make sense when you see that the ear is so precious as a priest, because if anything is mutilated in the Old Testament, you can't worship God at the temple. You can't go through the ritual system. You can't get to God, you can't get close, you're outside. And this is why Peter pulled out his sword and he went, "Hoo, to Melchus, the servant of the high priest and what do you do, Keloff is here." Now, if you're going to kill someone, you don't do it this way, you do it that way. What was he doing? He was mutilating in his ear to prevent him from becoming the next high priest to worship God. And Jesus says, "It's not violence. Put your ear back on because I believe in you and you will be the high priest and you will fulfill your duty in worshiping God your father and you will have a revelation." This is the way of the Lord. This is the way of the Spirit. The hand makes sense because in the Bible, what they used to do is cut off the thumbs of kings and there's a king in Judges 1, and the knee-bezek is his name. And he ended up having his thumbs and toes cut off. So they cut the thumbs and the toes off, why? Because he did it to 70 other kings cut their thumbs and toes off, why? Because one deal to worship in the temple, it's another deal to have warfare and use a weapon and you can't hold a sword with four fingers and use it properly. You can't walk properly if you're missing your big toe, you lose your balance really easily. This says to me that God has prepared a people to worship him and God has prepared a people to warfare for him, to pick up a sword. He's anointed your ears, your thumbs and your toes to stand on solid ground and wherever your feet, come on, wherever your feet tread. I shall give you victory, you shall wield the sword of the spirit, my word and it shall bear fruit, it shall bring the anointing. I've called my people to stand on a solid rock, not white, to and fro and tossed by every doctrine. No, you shall be stable, you shall wield a sword and you shall incline your ear to hear. This is what the blood represents. You don't ascend by effort, you ascend by atonement. God marks the edges of our life, the ear, the thumb, the toe, the extremities, Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, Adapats, the river flows to the Adapats. The consecration of your body is like a vessel, a temple, the Bible calls it and you have to guard this temple, you have to guard what comes in. Some of you have let too many things in. You haven't been a doorkeeper to the heart of your life. You have the unforgiveness in and now you're tormented. You're tormented that you forgot to appropriate the blood upon your ear and you've let people into your physical body that you should never have. You've given, there is gift of God repentance today for you to be saved and set free. Some of you are putting things into your stomach and that you shouldn't put in all the time. Some of you need to say no to that. No, be conscious that your body is a border. Protected by the blood of Christ, you do this with your children not in my house, get out. Not your children, but those things that are trying to take your children. You keep your children in your house, that's a good idea. We don't watch that, we don't listen to that. That's super religious. No, that's called being a gatekeeper. That's called being a gatekeeper of not letting any demonic territory be gained in your children's heart and minds because we have an epidemic of anxiety and fear that's saying now the ages of 8, 9 and 10 like no other generation. As for me and my house, we will be covered from head to toe. Yeah, shoulders, knees and toes. Some of you have a splash in oil over your bedrooms and your houses and that's an old testament practice. You can do that in a new testament if you want. But the devil ain't scared of your oil over your house. You're just leaving stains all over your paintwork. He's scared of faith. He can't penetrate. He can't attack the one who's covered in the blood of Jesus Christ. He can't infiltrate now. You can put the oil up there if you want. But friends, the enemy knows the word of God. Where your heart fears be if you fear him or fear the devil. I trust, I hope today that you have faith to believe that the enemy can't attack anywhere in your children. Your children's children for those who are covered from the earth and the thumb to the toe. This river leads to one place. Sometimes I read about the crucifixion of Jesus and the brutality. The brutality is unfathomable in my mind. I actually can't imagine it. I read it and I go, "A suppression of fluid around your heart and lungs Jesus was so much that your body went into shock. That when the Roman soldier pierced your side, what's it say, "water and blood flowed out?" That sounds familiar. That sounds like the water ceremony of water and wine coming together. That sounds like the consecration of the priests and the blood and the water. And it says that he who saw it testified. Surely he is the Son of God. It poured forth. He expected a Messiah who's spirit be poured forth like water. They didn't expect it to hang on across and piece the side of the altar in which the blood was coated upon. His body is an altar of sacrifice. That's why Aaron was instructed to put the blood on the sides of the altar because out of the very side of Christ came life and atonement and covering in the sustenance of life. Do you see the picture? It starts to make sense because if you know in Judah, on the E. chapter 19, nothing can be established unless there is two or three witnesses. A matter is established if there's two or three witnesses. And we read at the beginning that three testified. The spirit represented by the oil. The blood and the water testified that he is the Messiah. Not only if you've got the right things pouring out of God's body and the spirit of up it. You've got John himself and the Roman soldier. Two witnesses. The matter is established. He's the anointed one. He's the Messiah. He's the Savior of the worlds. He's the most mystifying thing as he says, "All that river that flows from Genesis flowed out of my side, flows into you and out of your bale, your flow rivers of the water." Rivers of the living water. I'm the threshold now that it flows through me to the outer ends of the earth. To one day in Revelation 22 it says that the river flows from the throne of God and the lamb of God. No longer will be a threshold. It will flow forever and ever. There will be many fish and many fish and healing in its water. Leaves of the trees. The water said, "This is my son, him and well please." The blood said, "It is finished. It is covered. It is atone for." And the spirit of God says, "He is the truth. This is the truth." They testify. They speak. And they speak through you and me because we are those priests still. We carry the anointing. We are not worthy. We are not worthy. But we are thirsty. How can you, how can you pour out your spirit upon a people so rebellious and full of sin and shortcomings? What you did, the bank can come. You did. You did. You did. And you broke every yoke and every bondage and every oppression. As your word says in Isaiah 10, the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing. It came to seek and save that which was lost. It came to destroy the works of the devil. The anointed one clothed in the anointing. We broke every lie and false teaching and accusation of every oppressive evil force that you will ever come up against, that you will know salvation to be set free to live it and empower it. We consecrate ourselves. We are the holy spirit. Teach us to be still. Teach us to rely on you. More than ever. Thanks for joining us for today's message.
