Angel Reese delivered a historic performance in the WNBA Finals, leading the Atlanta Dream to victory with 30 points, 16 rebounds, and relentless leadership. Her ability to dominate in transition, finish efficiently, and execute clutch plays showcased a generational leap in skill and maturity. Despite being in her third season, she outperformed expectations, becoming the team’s best player and potentially earning MVP honors. Her performance highlights not only her individual excellence but also her role in elevating team cohesion and confidence. The game also revealed significant challenges for the Golden State Valkyries, including offensive inefficiency, poor shot selection, and struggles in defensive adjustments. The discussion underscores how player development, strategic team decisions, and roster dynamics shape playoff success. Reese’s journey, including her trade from Chicago and subsequent rise, reflects broader issues in the WNBA regarding player retention and franchise decision-making. The episode celebrates her growth as a player and calls attention to the importance of leadership, resilience, and adaptability in high-stakes competition. It also highlights the evolving nature of the WNBA, where talent development and player experience are increasingly vital in determining outcomes.
Welcome to the rear WNDA show. I'm Seer. It's so he and I'm joined by the Go Jordan Richard. He is a CEO and founder of swish cultures. Last time he was on he held up the angel Reese's to open up the hate or hotline but look honestly hate or island is getting smaller and smaller and smaller because oh my god angel mother fucking Reese. She had one of the all time. I'm not going home. I am the best player on this team and I've decided we're not going home down O and 2 in the WNBA final 30 points 16 rebounds 3 assists 2 blocks 10 for 16 34 minutes. You felt every single one of those minutes she carried this team in her third year. The Atlanta dream ATL Barbie leads them fittingly to their first ever WNBA finals win what a performance Jordan. What's up how you feeling? Is it time to call him? We got to come in hot. Ooh you got him in the back here. Ooh. We went pink that shine. We're unboxing. What's that? The black one means we mean business. To the people. The haters of the hotline. You don't have to like it but you got to respect it. 30 points. 16 rebounds. I know a lot of you guys are like it was all lamps. We gave y'all your dessert at the end of the game. Three ball and like Andrew Ries always says. We get into the cup like a recess. She was a ballin today. Super ballin and the motor is always there as a person that loves basketball and loves the game. You got to respect the motor every single day and every single night and every time them lights get bright she performs. So look you can hate on her but you got to respect it's another time she's showing it. It just gives me kind of chills a little bit. This reminds me of LSU days. When it's time to show up she shows out every single time and if you were to tell people at the start of this series especially the haters they would have said there's no way Andrew Ries leads all scores in the game. She did that today. This episode is presented by Waldon University. Whether you're on the court or building your career getting better takes work. But yeah it's interesting so I wrote an article about Angel before the series started. I'm already wrong because all in my all of my praise of her I was talking about how she is the person who makes the plays that you will forget so that somebody else can make the plays that you remember. I basically said look she's not going to be your sports center highlight real finishing the game like leading the team and scoring that's going to be a Ryan Howard that's going to be an Alicia Gray but man I felt like this entire game I'm watching at home like man Angel Ries is keep is putting this team on her back she needs somebody to show up and we got hit two we hit a point where I was like okay like I don't know if Ryan Howard is going to show up on the offensive end in this game and Angel said okay fine give me the ball I'm gonna go driving transition I'm gonna hit Kia Stokes who is a defensive player of the year type of player in the chest I'm gonna hit a lefty circus shot over her I'm gonna scream at my teammates to get me the ball I'm gonna hit the free throw and I'm gonna win the game there were so many plays like that in that in this game you've had the steal on Kyla Charles goes so many so many transition plays um things that I think that you know when it's all said and done for Angel Ries 10 15 years from now we are going to look back at this night when we talk about her it is going to be one of the reference points by which we measure her greatness it is it is like in the growing historical canon of Angel Ries um and it just makes me wonder like I think about these this post season it's just like who's been better than her like this is the postseason of Angel Ries it's the second half of the season of Angel Ries uh pretty much as soon as she kind of got her bearings underneath her the three point shots started falling then since the loss against Indiana where she missed the layup she's shooting 67% at the restricted area that opens everything also because now when she gets a rebound and she's dribbling up and transition you're terrified no used to be you kind of try to scare her even early in the series in the Liberty right like you know they try to use like fly by contest and just kind of like get her Russia shot up now they're sending two to the ball she is gravity when she's got the ball on her hands and the paint because she's finishing these shots and now you're seeing her spray it out it you kind of like go back to her high school days as a point guard um she's she finds the one a bonner in in transition for a layup at one point of it's just like that that finishing ability is just put everything together for her it has unlocked everything else in her game um and if that holds like we really start to have to ask ourselves a question of like young players this dominant there's a very short list and every single one of that one of the players on that list they have titles they're entering the Hall of Fame if they aren't already in the Hall of Fame like this is a league that's been defined by that position by that four position by that big position and she has taken the torch like everything the this we'll go through the stats but like the people she's being compared to the performances when you like do the statistical comparison every single one of those players title winning Hall of Famers it's incredible this is an incredible game it's she the greatest rebounder that we've ever seen oh of course that's that's that's that's on debate about it is i look you know i pay my homage to you you're one of the goals when it comes to this w and b a stuff so for you i just want to ask you that question you know in terms of that because to me that's you know i was like like i told you before i saw the 28 rebound performance i wanted to i went to the game uh the finals game not just this this one but the previous one and every time i see her man rebounding wise dog she's probably one of greatest i've ever seen men and women let's be honest and uh what what what what what i do love about this series you know one thing that i do love that she is showcasing is this the leadership but i like the dog too talking crazy like this is the stuff i just i love y'all you see the back and forth at the free throw line too yeah like i love that why do so many people not like that from women i love it like the back and forth and then she gets a block on the other side starts talking crazy why she gets the block that stuff helps your team man like we're not backing down from nobody and we've seen the valkyrie do this to teams a lot this year they punk teams they gonna pick you up they're going outhouse so you they actually play their whole bench the bench that comes in plays hard every single night you see you see them punk teams and i'm seeing this team the dream fight back and what's crazy is Jordan candidate didn't have her best game Ryan Howard hasn't had good games we haven't seen a monster game from from from from gray like what happens when all of them are clicking if we ever see that if we ever see that yeah well they i mean Ryan Howard in particular who we're talking about she definitely plays better at home so i had something to watch out for but to your point on the leadership and the dog look this is something that this team lacked last year as a big reason that they lost indiana in the first round last year is they they were punkable angel an angel Reese team is not going to be punkable like if she didn't perform that she the way that she wanted to in the second half of game one said so.
multiple times and said that she just knew that she had to put it all out and leave it all out in the floor after that. And there was this great quote after the game from Jordan, Canada. She says, "Angels are generational talent. She wants it really bad. We feed off of her energy. She sets the tone. She was talking to us the whole game, keeping us confident." She said, "I need the ball. We gave her the ball. She went to work." Gets a 30 piece. The thing that stood out to me about that, this is a nine year bet. This is a two time WNBA champion, the point guard, the floor general. One of the leaders of your team saying this about a third year player who is in her first postseason, in a league that, by the way, not kind to young players in the postseason. But here she is. She's a last player standing. She's the best player on the dream. Has been the best player throughout the course of this run. Has been the best player for them in the second half of their season, and probably the best postseason performer this year as well. And just, I am saying it again, but year three. - So I'm saying, hey, we see great players show up in big time moments. So we're saying, it was craziest, and we all notice, if Atlanta wins this, she can MVP. It's not even close. I thought if we were to have this conversation before, I'd have been like, it might be close. Like Ray, Ryan Howard. But right now, I ain't even close, not close. And arguably MVP, out of all these players that we've seen, all talk, just being honest. Yeah, I love you, Gabby, yeah. And I love what Gabby's been doing this whole playoffs, but man, but to you, you know, kind of question for you. I want to get to the right hour, just real quick. There's been a lot of times she has chin picking her up 94, right? And for me, we got to run a clear side. Walk her down, Ryan, please. And then just get one. Sometimes you live and die by the gun. I rather you shoot three for 14, three for 15. We can't have two for seven tonight. The six stills, it did save the team though. But I need you, like when you get that matchup, that's when we get our confidence. I'll have you take a million shots on that. 'Cause they put chin on her a lot during this series. I'm starting to notice what she's in. And I feel like those are her moments to try and get going when they do switch chin on her. Even though I like chin, she's had a good series too. I'm just saying, when you had that matchup and you got the size difference, let me see a few. Go up. So what? Yeah, no, I agree with you. As much as yes, I agree with the general sentiment of like, look, she's such a good shooter that she should never stop shooting. I will say I also had a problem with the fact that she only had two shots in the paint this entire game. That's just not acceptable. Also, if you have chin on you, like you got to get to the rim, you got to try to get in the post. This has been a tough start to the series for her. She hasn't had a good shooting performance to series, but I, or really in the playoffs, right? Like this playoffs has been tough for her from the field. But at the same time, like I look at the Liberty series and she was doing what you were saying. Like she was still shooting those shots. And you need that. You also look like you have a great offensive rebounder, right? So just go get to the rim and see if you can create some gravity and get something up there. And if you don't make it, look, it's all good. Like you got the cleanup group behind you. So don't fret too much if you miss these shots. But yeah, we're gonna need something more out of her. She does shoot way better at home than she does on a road, which is, it's a good thing if you were Atlanta and you were heading back to State Farm Arena, which is awesome that they're getting to play there. At the same time, it kind of speaks to some of the issues with Ryan Howard sometimes too, where it's like, most of the time, like great superstar players, there's not a big divergence in how they play at home versus on the road and it does kind of scare me a little bit for the rest of the series, 'cause like as good as Angel Reese was, and I'm very curious what the Valkyries will do with her going forward, but it's not sustainable to have her try to do this if this ends up being a long series and you end up having to go back and like close out one or maybe potentially two games in that arena late in the series. Like it's just a lot to ask of Angel Reese or Alicia Gray coming off of an injury. Like, look, the six deals are amazing. Most in WNBA finals history for one player. So you gotta give her her flowers there. Straight up erased some potential transition layups. Momentum swinging death now, sort of like in a series where there's so much, I feel like there's so much of suppressed tension in this series, 'cause you're looking for these big momentum swings to happen, but it's really just two teams playing really hard defense against each other. So like the big shot just doesn't happen. Like the other like it's a big run doesn't happen although it happened for Atlanta in the third quarter and the start of the fourth. But like ultimately it's like you're, it's like Angel and her have almost like traded roles in a way. Like if you're Ryan right now, you're playing like, a player that I love, like you're playing like a Gary Peyton the second type of great game. And it's like yeah, we need you to actually be Steph Curry, you know, and then with Angel, it's like, we've actually always expected you to do a dirty work, but now you're actually through the course of the first two games. You're the one that's getting us the buckets when we need them. You're like, you're the one that we're throwing the ball down to. And really man, even on the, I'm so curious what they do with her because first play of the game that she had the ball, she just took it straight to the rim and I was just like, oh, she just, she knows that nobody can stop her when she, when she has that first step. That first step is like so late and quick. Like it was just, you could just feel that there was a confidence with her that like she knows that nobody on that team, other than sometimes keyestokes is just quick enough to keep up with her. So she's just gonna draft to the rim brilliantly. And it gets back to your point, the motor, the motor, but it's sort of, I think that's, there's gonna be the tension of the series. Like, it's Angel Reese's motor versus the Golden State Valkyries being able to wear you down. And I don't know who wins that battle. - If I'm, if I'm the Valkyrie, I watch that game. And sometimes you don't need to bring up, oh yeah, we got punks, we only, I mean, Angel, she's dominating on the glass, she does that. But if I'm, you know, coach, when she takes that, so basically when she catches it at the elbow and the nail, she's always attacking the top foot. So whatever foot is in front, she's attacking it. So she doing a high rip, if she's crab dribbling, one shoulder, as soon as she crabs, we're sending the double. We are sending the double team. You have to, as soon as she does it, you have to bring it. 'Cause we try to, you have to eliminate that. If you allow her to do that the whole time, it's gonna be a problem. Just let everybody else beat us. I think they did a good job on Jordan. I thought Jordan did a great job being more aggressive too with their lips. But, and then they just got to figure out some way on her, on her crab dribbles for Angel. They got to send two. She gonna try to spin out, but I'm not allowing her to get, I would rather spin out and get a left hand than get a crab right. We cannot let her get to the right hand. She's finishing so well with her left, left right now though. Yes, but I'm talking about off of the crab though. I'm seeing her. If she grabs, bump is right in. Yeah. So I'd rather her spin and get to the left then. 'Cause crab dribble right, it's been a problem for them the whole series. So here's the thing, tactically, yes, I agree with you. But right now you have to go back to Atlanta. Where everybody else in that roster plays a lot better as well. So is this really the moment that you wanna be saying everybody? Maybe when you go back to Golden State, I don't know if game three is the moment. They just won their first playoff game. They're in state farm for the first time. That arena is going to be transcendence. It's, I think, I think there's a version, like, oh, there's two things here. Like if you double her on the move, it's kind of hard to make the pass. Maybe you get her to turn it over, right? Like that's definitely something that could work. But if she starts spraying it out to the shooters, game three, like you said, like Atlanta hasn't had one of these games yet. I just, that just feels like Taylor made to become one of those games then. - Man, but like I told you, like me, you have talked about both. She shows up in these bright moments. You cannot let her get going though. - That's true. - And she see a few go in and then she start popping off the join. - Yeah. - Then we're in trouble. I don't want that. - It's such an interesting thing for Natalie to have to think about. Like, do you mid-series change something?
a way that you think about angelries. But you almost have to, and I don't know that there's much precedent for this, at least in playoff series in basketball that I've watched, where I'm watching defensive minded player, a player that we've talked about as being, I've called here like a possession maxim, like the best possession generator that we've ever seen, like one of the best dirty work players that we've ever seen, you know, has shades of these great defensive players that we've seen like Dennis Rodman, Dremon Green, in the middle of a season, make the kind of offensive transformation that she has, where she's shooting 40% from three in the postseason, and she's finishing 67% at the rim, when that was at one time, her greatest weakness. And the way that she's doing it, there's clearly a process there, like she's definitely slowed down, the finishing has gotten better. But that's just, that's, I think that's a really hard thing to actually process in your mind, especially one game break, playing on Wednesday, traveling on the road, do you have to completely change in your head the way that you think about angelries? Especially knowing that Ryan Howard's right there, and Alicia Gray's right there, would you say you have to? Yeah, I mean, we got to show, we got to show the double team, we got, we like, we got to, you just can't let one person beat you the whole time, and let's be honest, like, because I want to game more, first and foremost, Valkyrie, wow, the fans, just for you to, yeah. If you guys have a chance, y'all got to experience with the Valkyrie guys going on. What is this, you're two? Yeah. This is year two. It was happening. It was so much purple, I didn't see a splash of red, none. Crazy atmosphere. But after you watch game one, I feel like Atlanta should literally be up to zero, being honest, my opinion, after the way they play game one, to me, they were up. They have moments to win that game. I thought they should have won that game. Gabby was hoping to do her thing. But for me, we got to eliminate angel, I can't, I can't allow that. It's got a eliminated, bro. And I'm not saying that it's even possible, but we got to have her beat us in another way. We can't let her get to this crab dribble bump, like Scooblay, man, we can't do that. That's, that's her shot. She killing off the, so what do you do? What do you do if you're them? Because it's not Natalie's style to play Keyestokes 40 minutes. But she's the only person who reason even has a chance. And there are moments in this game where even she couldn't do anything with her. The first play of the game where she gets to lay up, that's against Chechi, who I think has kind of been food for the most part. Maybe you do more Kyla Charles as well. Janelle Salon, unfortunately, my girl was a bit of a mess out there. The four minutes that she played. Finally four. Can you explain to me the four, though? Well, I think that, I think that Nicosity, she kind of ended up going a more defensive route throughout the course of the postseason. She just wasn't playing Janelle a lot. And I don't really agree with it. I think Janelle is just especially for a team that I think has issues with closing. I think Janelle Salon is your best shot at getting a really good, like shot no matter what. Just because of her level of balance. And her ability is a three level score, her size. She's just someone who's always going to be able to get a shot off. But I think you saw her come in. And like, this is a player who just kind of get thrown into the action. It's just not really feeling confident. She had a turn of, excuse me, she had a turn over a miss shot. And she also, I mean, I will say like there's certain things that you just, you can't do, especially when like you have Natalie as a coach. She let Angel Reece get like a middle school crossover on her in transition, like just some straight up pile on like things that things that should not be allowed. So I'm saying, like it's kind of like, are you trading offense for defense on some level? There with her, although I do think she has improved defensively, I think she should get a little bit more of a shot. I think it's a long series. And I think you're like, there's just going to be a night where she starts hitting up impossible shots. Like she's just somebody who I think can win you a playoff game. I want to throw some angel restats your way. Yeah, let's get it. You already know. Okay. Um, youngest player ever to record 30 points and 15 rebounds in a WNBA postseason game. Youngest player with a 20 point double double in WNBA finals history beating out John Col Jones who did it 25 and Kaby Pond extra who did it 24 years and 252 days. Angel Reece 24 years and 166 days. But I wanted, I wanted to, I wanted to do a little bit of pop quiz. Okay. Right now. So angel Reece and his playoffs is averaging 19 points 10 rebounds to assist 1.6 steals two blocks. Um, the only players, there's only five players in WNBA history who in the postseason have averaged at least 19 points 10 rebounds. Two blocks and 1.5 steals. Can you guess who they are? Six. Six. Six. Six. Sorry. Lisa Leslie's one. Yeah. Uh, do we got to be one? No, actually. Really? Probably didn't get the rebounds. She said, I think she's usually around a little bit more like the nine rebound mark, but maybe a little higher with the assist. John a blank on the links big. No. Think very recent champion. Oh, oh, Brittany Griner. No, actually. What? No. No. More recent. 19 10. 1.5 steals two blocks. Smith. No. No way. Not 19. Man, I honestly, now I'm now I'm getting nervous. Okay. Um, I'll give you a foul. Sylvia fouls is not in there. She's not in there. I know. Do you got to give me, you got to give me one. And then let me see if I can run off some. Okay. Um, I will give you Liz Cambage. Yeah. First off, shout to the homie, Liz. I didn't think we was going to get to that back. Uh, you hit me. Well, just now. All right, bet. All right. Number one. Sorry, guys. Now I'm gonna get rolling. Okay. Uh, Adrian Wilson. Yep. That's easy. Well, sorry, y'all. My bad dog. It's all good. It's all good. I'm trying to get into the bag. You saw I went Lisa Leslie. I went all the way back first and then I'm trying to bring my way over you. You hit that right off the top. So I was like, Oh, he's going to get these. I mean, that's what I thought. I was thinking we were going to get then Sylvia fouls and get it. So I'm like, Okay. Um, Lobo. No, I should would, I don't know, 10 rebounds is actually, but no, haven't had that time. So we're going all recent. No way, no feces in there. No. Go ahead, you got to give it to me. Yeah, I'm looking crazy right now. All right. Candace Barker. Come on. Lauren Jackson. Come on, Jay. It's all good. Hey, hey, it's all good. It happens. Um, the last one was hard. Her current teammate, Duana Bonner. What's his name on the mercury? Um, just come off from the mercury, right? Duana Bonner. Oh, Duana Bonner. You said Duana Bonner. Okay. Yeah, Duana Bonner. Yeah. I want to, I want to write some foremost. Pull my WNBA card away from me today. That was terrible, y'all. Y'all could clown me in the comments, do it ever. That was terrible. I'll tell you that right now. She got me on that one. No, it's all good. Next time I got to come back crazy. The only point here is that every single one of these players is either talented on a level that is unprecedented, that is generational. Yeah. And with the exception of Liz titles, hall of fame, all of it, minted, guaranteed Mount Rushmore statue type players here. Um, the only ones to do while leading their team to the WNBA finals, by the way, for Asia and Lisa. So if you put that in, it's just, that's, it's a three woman list. Yeah. I don't even like, I don't know what else there is to say, like that that she's doing this in her third year. She also might be one of the best traded players, like traded against
her will or traded when she didn't necessarily want to be traded of all time. Hey, and you said a name. I gotta speak to you. I'm sorry. Hey, your kin's. It's time. Get your podcast mic out. Hey, sometimes players, they mess up. You should say you were wrong. Please. I think she did. Didn't she? When? I think we're at the finals. Yeah. A full joint. I need like a I need a I need a full episode. You want to play it? What? I would. Yeah. McNuggets. I need that. Hmm. She should do like the she does like the film breakdowns with with players sometimes, right? Like like I think she's done it with Kiki. She's done it with Olivia. She should do like the film breakdown then down on how Angel Reese became this player. Yeah. That's one thing about the WWE. I really want to see more of just for the for the game. Like the greats come in and like uplift it. You know, uplift the youths and the greats. Like I know we're in this like, oh yeah, everybody has their pen right to but sometimes man, like Angel and Candace should be cool. Some be known, you know. That's all I'm saying. Yeah. No, for sure. No, for sure. Two should like, especially like with the sky history. I was going to say two Chicago legends. Angel could have been a Chicago legend, but they went and shipped her out for two first round picks, which is going to end up being the worst trade in WNBA history. It already it was the second they made that trade. It was already one of the worst trades in WNBA history and it looks worse and worse by the day. Like the the exponential nature in which it gets worse is actually hilarious too because it like looks bad when she does it. And it looks really bad when she wins defensive player of the year. Then she leads him to the finals and it looks like like even by a magnitude worse. And then she leads him to this win. This particular win where she put the entire team on her back and she just said, I like, I have that dog in me. Like moments like this teach you something about a player too because not everybody has that. So it's like, you let that go. That could have been your franchise and you let that go for too late first round picks on a team. But by the way, it's going to be good. So like, you're not really getting much out of those picks. And even if you do, you'll probably you'll probably piss them off and they'll leave too. So no. And we look at those trade as the disrespect for trades too. Because like like you said, the biggest key when you get picks, it's it's more so about getting it from a bad team. Not a team. You just help stack. Yeah, that's going to make a play. That's crazy. Especially when we're having expansion coming in, those picks are going to be like 16, 17, like, yeah, it's just it's horrible. Can you? All right. So I got to get good quick quiz for you because you you took my. Okay. Car for me. Can you name name me three picks that were 10 or 10 or higher, you know, from 10, 11, 12, 13, I know, uh, that were where the players actually turn to be all stars. All stars. Uh, okay. Um, well, not telling me it's top of mind, even though she's not an all star, but she's one of the best second round picks that we've ever seen. Um, let's do. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. See this one. Tell me you about the top. Is our hard band pop quizzes are not saying, but that's key, though. Normally, if we did this and someone else, I we could easily name it. Like, but that tells you if we can't think of it off the top of our heads from 10 and up, like that. That tells you the value of those pick, like, I mean, like, there's some great role players. There's some great role players. Do you know, Carington's a great role player? Yeah. Um, we're going to see more of them. Like, I think drafting is getting better development is getting better. But it's not, it's not a lot. Now, so I'm saying, so value, you're just like, all right, let's just gain drive for two picks. Even angel at the number seven. She's going to be one of the best number seven picks of all time. If you read that draft, she would easily easily be the number two pick. That would be the lowest you would go. LA passed over here over her twice. Been getting violated for a long time, even after what she did, amen. But I know you got some vacuery for me, though. You know, we could talk about angel all day. I know you got some. I'm trying to. I'm trying to. Zandocini. I love Zandocini. One of eight today, but coach, I don't like to 17 minutes. The gravity is still there. One thing I love about Zandocini, even when she not hitting, and I know you might not agree with me on this one. No, but like we talk about gravity and respect. We not letting Zandocini get them shot. You get what I'm saying? Like, even when she's on the floor, it's just, it's the presence for me. She got some bag work to her. Let's let her get her rhythm. I lose game too, to get her going. We, and Kayla, towards somebody, we need, because even Gabby, she was hoping that percentage wasn't as high. We need someone to help. Tiffany did a good job today, though. I like how tip bounce back today. I guess, I guess when you're thinking about Golden State, I think it's, I wonder what they'll end up diagnosing the problem to be, because Natalie Nicosi at the end of the game was pretty upset with the team's defensive execution. Now, I think for a layperson, if you're watching that, you're probably thinking what you're upset with a defensive execution, Atlanta shot 34%. You guys also shot 34%. What if you guys hit a few more shots? But that's not necessarily the way they've gotten here, right? That's not necessarily how they think. And I do think, I do think it'll be, I'm interested to see what direction they go with it, because like, to me, where they lost the game was that grout. And that's always a worry with them, right? Like these, these shooting grouts that they get into that third quarter, they shoot four for 15. They have eight turnovers. That's where Atlanta wins a possession battle, as well. They score like four points for an eight minute stretch in a WNBA finals game, where the only buckets you get are from like, I think Veronica Burton, Caitlin Chen. That is going to make it hard for you to set your defense, too, right? Like, I think one of the keys with the Valkyries and why they play that way is because they just rather slow it down, they'll run their ice snowball, they'll have good floor balance. And they'll make sure that you don't get anything going in transition either. But Atlanta had 28 transition points. So maybe that's a big part, I imagine of what Natalie is talking about, the transition defense. But that's also a function of the fact that when Angel Reese gets going downhill, I'm talking about Angel Reese again, when she gets going downhill, there's very little that you can do about it, especially when she's insisting on it the way that she is. Like getting these deep post seals, taking the rebound out and distributing it middle of the floor, forcing somebody, forcing two people to come to the ball. And then she gets to make a decision or she just splits it and gets an N1. You obviously have to, like you said, you have to do something about that. But I also think that you have to get better offense. And I think even with Gabby having the three for 15 game, I think there's two, I have two points on that. I think the shot quality has been pretty bad for the series overall. I think there's just some regression to the mean with her, you have to get her better shots. But two, even if she's missing, I want the ball on her hands more. Like strengthen numbers is cool. But like a lot of these mistakes, a lot of these turnovers, it's like, it's like tip free styling and I'm fine with tip, like she's a vet. But it's like, Chechi shooting, sure. But it's like Chechi getting the ball on the paint and then not really no one want to do with it afterwards. Like there's a little bit too much of like that everybody touches the ball. Everybody drives and then Atlanta comes and scrams and you guys pass the ball out and you end up turning it over. You take a bad shot and now it's off the races for the other guys. Like look, it's a WNB finals. Ball on the hands of your best players. Don't care how many shots. Get her better shots. Sure. Obviously three for 15 is a problem. But when I look back and watch those shots, it like three for 15 makes perfect sense because they're horrible shots. Like there's a lot for them to fix up, which you can look at as a positive or a negative in that way. But yeah, those are just, I mean, I just kind of like ran into all the different ways that I feel about it. But yeah, I just, I just truly feel like they have to get better. Better offense and clearer offense and the clearer offense thing might be might jive with the philosophy that got them here, but it's winning time. And Joe Laker told me told us all that Gabby Williams is the best player in the world. So let's put her in position to be the best player in the world. Do you feel like it's a lot, first and foremost,
You know how I feel about that. I love Gabby offensive game, man. Shout out to Gabby first and foremost, 'cause offensively she's starting to, people see how good she is offensive. I think people knew that she's really good, but like she's like, you seeing the 1A of that team. Like to me. Do you think it's a lie? 'Cause the last first game, how many shots you take? 26? 22? - Yeah, 22, 22, and she got 25. - 22, right? - She had 22 shots in that game. Now we go to another game where it's just like, man, if I'm not hit, dang. It's a lot of, it's a lot of my shoulders right now. - Yeah. - We gotta give it to somebody else and let her get going. I think Tim helped a little bit, but I don't say it like Zando Senior during like, - Yeah. - Can we figure out even if they having a bad night? Let's, we can lose game too and get them going and just keep them going in the flow. I don't like the minutes, 17, 18 now. I like that Valkyrie's always trusted their bitch. That makes them different than most, but we gotta get one of them going at some point. - Yeah. Yeah, it's tough. Like, I'm just looking at their shot distribution, right? And yes, Gabby also, like she definitely needs a help. I think my, the biggest person that I would look to that I don't think is, was able to get herself going, was Veronica Burton. She can be such a steadying force for them, especially in the moments where like, it's rare for them to turn it over the way they did in that third, but when they are to get someone like that, in the game just to stabilize things, I think could help matters. - Look, Tim. - I don't think so. - Yeah, I heard the change in the voice of Tim. Why, that's the right question. - I thought she was kind of a mess today. - Why? - I don't think she was the only other person to get any points up on the board, but I don't think she played a good floor game, honestly. I think she took a lot of tough shots. I think that she took a lot of tough last second shots, driving to the rim that created really poor floor balance, that let Atlanta get going in transition. She had some bad turnovers. She wasn't good defensively. She made some pretty rough owls as well. I think for, look, I think if she was 24, yeah, that's fine, but she's 37 and this is like, she just didn't really play, kind of become like accustomed to seeing her play. I think that's a big part of why they didn't really have composure in this game. Like, I don't, I don't think this was a great game from her, to be honest. - But when you let, okay then, who are we going to next thing? - It's like, it's like you'll get a bad game to pat a bat, like get a bad game. - You say that I support you. Like, it's still them. They'll play better. They'll play better on a different night. - I just thought Tip had some moments. She had some moments where I was like, okay, cool with it. That's what I mean. - No, look, she's always going to, like, she hits a really tough shots. No doubt. No doubt, but they needed stability in this game. And I don't think she provided it. I would have liked to see more Kaitlyn Chen in this game. If anything, I think this is a game that-- - That's open, she was open. - Yeah, she's like, when she kind of like sneaks under you and just gets that angle for that lefty banker, you're like, I don't, I barely ever see her miss that shot. I would have loved to see a little bit more of her, yeah. - So question for you, just on Coach Nakase. At halftime, what do you think the message was? Because, you know, I sent you a text, 'cause I was looking at that foul distribution. I wasn't very happy, yo, refs. Please, guys, let me play. - I don't play. - Take care, I was playing as the finals, man. We called some real ticky-tack ones to start the game, but at halftime, Ryan Howard has four fouls. Angel has three fouls. The gray off two, gray out two or three. - Two. - The foul distribution was crazy. - Did we bring it up at halftime on the Valkyrie side or did we not? 'Cause I feel like it was a blown opportunity to get them out of the game very early. - That's interesting. I'm trying to remember like, well, they came out of the gates, pretty flat offensively. But I also think that honestly, halftime that I'm thinking about more as impactful was probably Atlanta's halftime. I think, again, Angel, like she told them, don't worry. I got it, you guys follow me. Like, I'm gonna get us to the promised land and she sets the tone defensively. And I just don't think, I just don't think she gave the Valkyries or they gave the Valkyries an opportunity to get anything going on offense. I think their defense completely flipped the switch in that third quarter. Which is fine, but we still got to attack Angel because she plays and is, you know, the head of the snake defensively. - I didn't notice them attacking her. I don't think, if that's what, I didn't notice them attacking her, which is something-- - That's what I'm saying. - They did a lot better of a job of in game one. Like, they were wearing her out with how much they had her in the pick and roll. - And that's what I'm saying. And Angel, if you watch Game Boyer, Angel was gassed. - Yeah, she was really tired. - And the first one. And she, you know, she does a good job of like, asking Coach, let me get a quick one. You see them like every now and then you see her. - That was a good adjustment by them too. Like, they got her a little bit more rest in the right moments this game. - But that's what I'm saying. Why aren't we not attacking Ryan and also Angel? Four and three, we get Ryan Howard up the game immediately. I'm running an action for Ryan. You go out to guard this. This is what we, this is what you see in the rest of the game. You better go soft coverage the whole time. I'm shocked by they didn't go to do today. I'm shocked. Like you said, I didn't notice that they were going at those two the whole time when you got four and three fouls. - Yeah, me too. I don't want to look back and see like maybe if they tried or it didn't work out. But yeah, like Atlanta, they play seven players. If you get one of them in foul trouble, it puts so much pressure on them. You get Carl Smasco starts looking around. Like, what am I, like, what do I do now? He was even, and he doesn't actually, he's pretty reticent to sub players out when they're in foul trouble because he's an analytics guy and the analytics say that you actually like, you lose way more by resting a star player when they're in foul trouble than you do risking keeping them in the game. - Yep. - At the likelihood of them actually filing out is pretty low. And that, hey, that bore itself out in this game. So maybe it was that, maybe on some level like Natalie knows that math too and she knows that their chances of actually fouling either those two out or low. I don't know. Maybe I'm giving her too much credit with that. But I do think overall, like, yeah, like I think shifting some of the focus to offensive execution over defense would clean up what was Atlanta's biggest advantage in the game. It was, like, I think at 19 points, upturn, in a game where they scored 79. Like, that's like, over a third of their offense. - I'm really looking at this roster by Atlanta. I'm just saying to myself, damn. Y'all just really gave them this roster. Like, they want to be in on this team too. Like, four stills. She's not supposed to be on this team. And like you said, the bench distribution is a lot different. Medina one, one minute, there's only been two, there's only two players that came out the bench. Like you said, everyone else did not play, they only played one minute, then we got 20 minutes and 17 minutes. - Well, this team, this team is both these teams are actually a testament to the dysfunction of other WNBA teams. We talked about the Angel Restraid, right? And they get the Naz Hillman is a steal in the second round. Alicia Gray from Dallas as well, two first round picks for her. It's the same trade. The same trade basically brought Alicia Gray over. It's the same trade as the Angel Restraid. Vine Howard number one pick, Jordan Canada, pretty normal trade. Then the Golden State side, right? Like, it's like all the expansion. Blair Schraid, but the funniest thing to me is the fact that Chicago has a role in the Gabby Williams aspect of it all, too. Because I don't know if you, I don't know if like, I don't know if listeners will know this, but Gabby Williams used to be with Chicago and she was playing overseas. She basically had an agreement with them that like when she came back from overseas, she would be back on the team, right? And then they just reneged on that agreement And I think that they just like didn't resign her.
I don't remember exactly what happened, but they basically played in her face. And she talked about this like, immediate day for the finals, somebody asked her about it. And she was like, I'm really grateful that it happened because it taught me who not to trust and to never let myself be in that position. Again, it ultimately got me to where I am right now with the top careers, which is like the bully opposite as a franchise, just think that's funny. A lot of girls have a lot of women, sorry, have four stories about Chicago, man. Hopefully, we fix that because that can be a place where people actually can shine and we've seen them win a championship with some great players, a great talent. And they've had great talent over the years, like you said, like if you really look at back it, players that the Chicago sky had had some plays, this is like this angel of racing. It's just it's it's just one more in a long line, a long history of Chicago trading players and then winning a title somewhere else. Like this happened with Sylvia Fowles, gets traded to Minnesota, wins a title, Alena Deladon gets traded to Washington, wins a title, and Angel Reese might win a title the year after she was traded to. That's crazy. They're good at picking them. We got to see just not good at getting exactly and the W's the best at keeping players. I would think y'all the best that it's me y'all hold on to a player in the heartbeat free agency player power. All of it is changing the way that the WNBA works and it's exposing these franchises on the other end of it, teams like Atlanta, Golden State that are really good at prioritizing player experience are benefiting with their free agency signings and being able to put together teams like this as well. Yeah. Question for you on the Atlanta side, um, there's Jordan Canada in her career, get the credit she deserves, but do you feel like it's still like not where it needs to be? Well, honestly, like I feel like I don't, I haven't even given her enough credit. Like I don't think she gets enough credit for the season that she's having and also for being like the second most consistent player on this team and this playoff run where like Alicia Gray was hurt for a chunk of it and Ryan, as we know, has been up and down like JC has been incredible for them and she's really good at just like quietly making sure that everybody eats on this team. Like we're never really talking about like, oh, this player didn't get enough shots or anything like that. Like a lot of that is just JC's game management. Um, but honestly, like when the season, even when the season started, I questioned whether, like she made sense as this team's point guard because she's not as much as before space or now I was just looking at like, oh, you already have angel, you have nods, you're going to have like three non shooters if you have Jordan Canada to and I was completely proven wrong because like she's throughout the course of season two has like made herself like irreplaceable. Like she's kind of played like a vet who knows that there's like somebody potentially gunning for their spot because like, there's a version of the season that plays out where Jordan Canada isn't as good as she is and like Tahina palpau gets her minutes and we're seeing like Angel run the point more like Ryan run the point. Um, and they just like kind of play a different style of basketball than what they play, but I think she has been incredible on both ends as a floor and and she's been aggressive as well too in a way that all too aggressive like it's just it's it's made her vital to what they do. I she was three or 14 today, I'm I'm I was cool with it because you know why she had that to assist. But it's like it's yeah, sorry, go ahead, go ahead. No, no, no, no, I'm just saying like for me and that was my thing for game one off offensively, I didn't think she was aggressive enough offensively get into her shots and get into her legs, but this game, I saw her make their adjustment and I was cool with it. I know the stats don't show in her favor in terms of it, but you just hurt by her being aggressive. If I miss one, I got Angel to cover me. Like, so yeah, so like and then you got to 10 like, I just man, the more I'm starting to appreciate her game every single time I watch her and that's why I want to ask you that. No, she's such a, she's an incredibly high IQ player. That's a great question. This is also a series in which I feel like the box score numbers, particularly the field gold numbers are very are just like tangentially related to how well I think someone played, you know, because that's not the terms of engagement in this series. This isn't like a big like shot making, all right, let's rip off a crazy run and like hit a couple in a row series. It's like, it's drag it out like three for 14 in this series. That spot, like Alicia Gray is four for 11 in this series. That's like, she probably that means she shot like, I think I'm not, I don't know, it probably means she's like some like 37% or something like that. Like that as a whole shot 34. I'm saying. I'm saying. So that's not like that's not technically inefficient, but by the measure of like what the basketball is going to look like in this series, like I think everybody in this series is going to have to get used to missing a lot of shots and just having a very short memory and continuing to just just make sure that you execute the offense in a way that you can't that that like transition can't punish you. So like that really has to be the key. But don't worry about like you said, Cheshire, one for eight, who gives a shit as long as it's a good shot as long as it's not compromising something on the other end, it's all good. You have to empower your place. We are still very early. It is one one. And the next game, Valkyrie could go crazy with all we didn't so we taught them differently. You know what I'm saying? Like it is one game and it's a game of momentum. And I feel like the Valkyrie, they need Zando scene in my opinion or Kayla Thorin or Veronica Burton, too, to just have one of them games and we back there because I got to be been smooth selling for me. So that's that's key, but then also on the defensive end trying to make fine ways to take a angel out of the series to broke. She has 30 wearing trouble, dog. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I just got to get better shots. Yeah. Yeah. I don't realize. Have you noticed? She gets to a right hand. A lot. How many times does she get to her left? She goes right every time. Yeah. Yeah, she doesn't like going left every time she go back right. I know Atlanta on the scale saying that because I was making one, I'm like, bro, she literally goes back right every time. And I think it's going to be a lot of way. Yeah. Yeah, so good. No, no, I'm saying for me, that's why I'm asking for some others because it's just it's going to wear and tear on gap every single game just to be like, yo, I think Gabby is great at sometimes when it's game on the line, somebody else is getting going a little bit. Now we put the bar and gaps and we can space out a little bit, let her get it easy one because if nobody really helping, all these buckets is going to be tough and it's just going to be wearing tear on her. Yeah. If one more two on Atlanta, what would this team be like with Rihanna Jones? Because we don't, we don't really say that's all interesting, right? I feel like they're completely, completely different team, wouldn't they? Yeah. And for those that haven't been watching Atlanta that much last year, they have a big Rihanna Jones big piece that they're missing, a big piece, like most of them post a piece like a player like Gaetz guaranteed extra 12 points in the paint every game like mismatch nightmare in the post. That's what I'm saying. I heard the most unguardable post players of all time that's what I'm saying. She's barely played. I was thinking about it. Oh man. Well, they'd be, they don't say what is with them beating New York, they beat, obviously, they didn't have Rihanna Jones or Alicia Gray beating New York. Man, like this team is so talented. The New York thing and we blame this because we talked about Angel and the confidence. There is a possession that I'll never forget, probably my all time, never will forget. Angel catches at the corner, three, John Quill is at the block, turned her back completely on Angel. Shoot it, when you're not worried about it. Turn her out and look at the bench after yeah, and it did the little, you know, yes. Why do we do that? We're in the playoffs. I'm not trying to lay knowing it, nothing. I don't understand that stuff. We can't play them numbers. Some numbers never work in your favor to me when people do that. It's all part of the recalibration of how we think about Angel Reese as an offensive player. I guess that's ultimately what it is.
is if you look at the regular season, yeah, she's not, she wasn't hitting those corner threes at the start of the season, but she's gotten a lot better at it through the course of the year. Like Carl Smesco told her she would. And now, yeah, those are, I mean, it's been, those are questions that you're asking yourself if you're Natalie and Cassie now. It's like, okay, we're letting her hit 40% on the open ones, it's a time to what happens when we get a hand up, but then it opens up a can of worms. We had a hand up when we're, now it's Angel Reese dribbling down the court, attacking a closeout. I don't want that either. It makes me very excited for her future though, because she is even a modicum of either the finishing or the shooting that we're seeing right now. It just opens up so much for her. - Yeah, filter the analytics too. You know, I'm not an analytics person, but let's filter them, please. We play too much to analytics sometimes. I'm talking about the other teams. The Valkyrie, I give you, you know, I like what the Valkyrie do. But sometimes these other teams I've seen throughout the course of this playoffs, we focus way too much on analytics sometimes. Just filter them. Sometimes you don't need to play to the analytics. Sometimes we hope that we won't need to give people easy looks because of the analytics. 'Cause that just turns them into monsters when you start doing that. And then they start getting confidence. And then they start flowing. They just, it's not good, huh? - Yeah, you said it is information. - Exactly. - You don't have to, yeah, I agree with you. I agree with you. All right, did any other parting thoughts before let you go? - Yeah, for you. We saw the Valkyrie and how, what kind of atmosphere that I was over there. Now we go into state farm. It's gonna be a, it might be a totally different atmosphere. What do you think that atmosphere is gonna look like? - Oh my God. - First of all, sell out, second of all, celebrity role out there in ATO. Like we might get TI, we might get Queen Latifa, we might get Lotto. Like, it's gonna be, it's gonna be crazy. I think the fan base is gonna be super excited. They just won their first finals game ever in franchise history. You know that their game ops is gonna do a great job. I think honestly, the fact that there is like this big story around state farm and whether they're gonna be able to get the arena, the fact that that was a story and they were able to get it, I think it's gonna add even an extra layer of juice. 'Cause now the people know that the fans know like, oh okay, people are gonna be kind of paying attention to, oh was it worth it to have it in state farm arena? So they're gonna be coming in with something to prove as a fan base as well. - Does Atlanta come in strong and still build? - Yes. - Okay. - I think so. - That was my next one. - I think so. - The Valkyries, their level though, in game 30. - I think my biggest thing is the minutes, like the Valkyries, they had, I don't know if you notice in the second quarter, they went with an all bench line up in the second quarter and it actually worked out, just well fine. Like that was when to know about her minutes too. The starters for Atlanta played heavy minutes. Like Angel played 35 and I think it was like 36 for Canada, we just played 34 and then for Golden State, like they played, they played 10 players pretty much. I mean, I mean, I've been out of played one minute and it was a one minute that she spent, getting shit talked by Angel, recent and blocked. That's tough. That's sort of surreal. Like she is experienced the full highs and lows of WNBA life in the last few weeks. I could definitely see her playing more, but that's the thing I would watch for. You only have the one game break now because of rescheduling so they could play at state farm. Otherwise, there's going to be a two game break or two day break. And that part favors the boundaries. Like they will probably be a little bit more rested. But Atlanta plays really well at home. Right now, it plays much better at home. They shoot better at home. If that's a state farm, no. We still consider it home. It's a little bit different. They play games there. Yeah, but you know, I like going to my like, especially me playing overseas, I like going to my whole court. You know, the ones that I shot at at practice. You know, the rims, yeah, I know the rim. I know everything. Like it's a little different. Even though your fan is going to be on your side. They played a good chunk. I don't know exactly how many. I feel like they played at least like four or five games or this season though. So I've got, I think they've got reasonable familiarity. There's a good point though. But I think the crowds, I think they'll play well. I'm not saying they're going to win. But I think they'll play well there. It's going to be a lot like, like, like you just said about the celebrity role. It's going to be a lot more than you think out there. It's going to be nice. It's pretty crazy. My guess would be the Atlanta wins game three and then Golden State wins game four. If the Valkyrie go down three one, I'm not saying that this is happening. Can they still win it? It's hard. You do have the best home court advantage if that happens. Probably not though. It would be, I mean, it would be good like karmic retribution though for the Warriors losing after being up three one. Exactly a decade later. Oh, no, you're trying to get to that back. Oh, no. That would be crazy. I know I go a lot and we got two. We got a lot different jogging knots on them on them teams. Off very different teams. Yeah, very different teams. Yeah. I'll be interesting series though. I still think that it'll go six or seven. What do you, what's your prediction? I was very nervous about the dream coming into the series. They made me talk about that. I think I was very nervous about them coming into this series just for the simple fact that I thought the way teams played them was a lot different than how the Valkyrie plays them. And after game one, it kind of changed for me. I think Atlanta wins this in six, just because confidence is there. We still haven't seen Ryan have a good game. We haven't seen Jordan Canada have her complete game. She's had decent games. And Gray is, you know, she's dealing with the hand. There's going to be a game when she get hot too. And there's still finding ways to win. And that's what's dangerous about that team to me. Now I know Valkyrie fans are, hold on. They ain't no seeing any of them having whooped yet either. That is true. But I'm more accustomed to seeing like Ryan not have. Let me point she out tonight. Five points. Yeah, five points. We're not going to say, you know, we better not see right now five points. So that's the thing for me where I'm like, I got Atlanta winning in six. But I at first, I'm not even allowed real to real. I thought I was very nervous because I knew Valkyrie played a different style than how, you know, the Liberty play where they let Jordan just run all through the pain. They let angels shoot the three. You know, I thought it was going, we're going to see a different type of matchup for Atlanta, but they've handled it very well, man. So respect. Yeah. I picked Atlanta before the series because I thought that the possession battle would even out. And once it even dealt, I thought it would end up coming down to star power. And Atlanta has more star power. Even even with gray with the hand, that's the, that was my, that's why I was nervous. Cause she get that's on a shoe way too. We're talking about her before I just kind of had a feeling she was okay. Oh, okay. And Angel just the way she was playing, I genuinely thought Ryan would be shooting better than she is as well. And, um, yeah, I mean, I just kind of feel like they have, they just, I just felt, I just, I felt confident. And now seeing them actually win a game in ball hall, uh, as well makes me pretty confident they'll be able to take this series in either six or seven. And if it's seven, then look, whatever we saw, tonight, I look forward to Angel Resilimination game. I, we just, I just, like, I guess what I'm fixated on. I feel like we just, we learned something very important.
about one of the key characters in the WNBA right now. Let's end on the injuries. If injuries wins this series, what do we put her in terms of faces of the league? I mean, I think she becomes the face of the league at that point. If she wins a title, I'm sorry, because she's already famous, right? All on now. Because we know. You're going to have some aces fans are here going a little crazy. That's cool. Okay, we're on the face of the league. The face of the league is not always the best player in the league. That is just a reality of professional sports. The NBA and the WNBA are registered as entertainment products. That's the world. I'm sorry. That's how it works. I didn't make the world, but it is my job to be objective about the world as it is. So, yeah, Angel Reese will be the face of the league if she wins a title. She was already one of the most popular players in the WNBA. Her popularity is top three at worst. She has the most Instagram followers of anybody in the WNBA. She won a title at LSU. Her and Caitlin Clark are the most recognizable players in the WNBA. If Angel Reese who has walked at the Met Gala, Angel Reese who has done a victorious secret fashion show already, is it now in Atlanta of all places? Can you fathom the offseason that she is going to have? Can you fathom some of the appearances that she's going to make if she wins a WNBA title? We're talking every magazine. We're talking time going to be on some sort of time profile. We're talking SNL. We're talking every concert, every concert that goes to Atlanta. Who's going to be walking out with the artist? It's going to be Angel Reese. It is about to be so the summer of Angel Reese if they win a title. In a way that I don't think we're all even prepared for yet. We got to let you keep cooking. Hold on, just because some people are like, she's bringing a follower. She's bringing up, talk about what she did in the regular season, too real quick, just for the haters. Defensive players in the year, all WNBA. 19 points, 10 rebounds, two blocks, 1.5 steals in the playoffs. Like we just talked about six players have ever done that in WNBA history. Only two have done it while leading their teams to the WNBA finals. That's Asia Wilson and that's Lisa Leslie. Two players who, by the way, have been the faces of the league at times. But if she wins a title, it's going to be her. She's already on video game covers at three bound numbers in there. Best rebound record. Yeah, the rebound record too. Double double record. Rebound record. What do you want? What do you want? She's cooking. What do you want? Hey, I like that for you. You can't. The world is the world. I was like this when Caitlyn Clark came in in 2024 and everyone saying Caitlyn Clark ad. No, this is, it's about stars. It's about stars. It's about one individual. And I don't love that. I don't love that that's a philosophy because I don't think that's actually how basketball works. But this is America. America loves stars. They deify the individual here for better and for worse, oftentimes for worse. I think the summer of the potential summer of Angel Reese, we want from one of the times where it's actually for the better. I think it would be a lot of fun. So I think we should enjoy it. Sports, in fact, is one of the few places where I do enjoy the deification of the individual. Because it's fun. They're fascinating human beings. Like what Angel Reese did today was fascinating. It tells us something about the metal that she has. There is something deep within her that will not allow her to lose a game like this. That's her channeling had to get a scholarship. So she could even be able to afford college. Same with her brother. That's her channeling the person who wanted to retire her mom. And now she's not going to have to have to deal with any of that stuff ever again in her life. But the circumstances that made her not left her, that's ball to more. Like that's just like that's like an inner fire that she has at. Like we'll be tapped into when her back is against the wall and has been tapped to. Taped into in the back when her back is against the wall when she has to win a game. You see in it, Ella, it'll see you. We're seeing it here like. That's fun. That's fascinating. Barred up. That's for sure. That's that's for it's like that's that's what we watch. That's a point. That's a whole damn point. Is it not? It is. You barred up. Hey, hold on. I just got to give you your flowers just because you've come a long way. With this too. You didn't come out on the left field like it took you some time, stranger to get to that point with you for you to say this. So respect. And you barred up just now. I respect it. Yeah. I don't want to doubt about Angel. But like just just for the basketball standpoint of it for a long time because of the finishing and what not. Like I have questions for what. But like it's like if someone's like she's actively doing this. She's been actively doing this. Like half a season in front of our faces in the biggest stage against the best opponents. Like you have you got to give her her flowers. You have to like. And it's fun. I'm enjoying watching it. I'm enjoying watching also like her being happy. Like she's been through so much too. It's like it's it's nice to see her like in this space where she loves her teammates and she loves her coach. And she trusts them and feels like the love of a city. It's nice. It's a great story. It's just a great story. It's great. Hey, you barred up. You made some people mad in here. I'm glad. No, I know. I think most people are enjoying this to be honest. No, I think they are too. You said something. You shocked me. You said face it and leave. I love it. That's reality. You're not you're supposed to. Just reality. I'm glad you did speak to both. Because people need to understand the distinguishable. So shut out to you. Yeah, hey, new CBA revenue share. That's revenue. That's good for revenue share. That's good for everybody. That's how it's just how it goes. That's just that's that's the world. Jordan, thank you so much. I appreciate you. As always, you talk. Hey, fam, whenever you need me, fam, I always appreciate you. This is always follow follow switch cultures on Instagram. TikTok. And you guys don't really do like Twitter as much, right? It mostly Instagram and TikTok, right? Man, so I give you a little small quicks. So we had like 50,000 when I first started. But at that time, we were posting music on our on our posts on some of them. Man, we got flagged, struck down. We had to restart. So we got back to 50. It would have been out 100 by now. So we got hit with that. So we have 50. We have 50 K on there. We would have be out 100. But we have to start. Okay, we'll be back up there. All right, we'll get you back up there. Yes, okay, so Twitter as well. No, and one thing. I really appreciate y'all giving me the chance, man. Like that's big time. And all the listeners out there, y'all giving me a chance to be on here. This means a lot. You know, some I want to keep continuing to grow. So shout out to the ringers. WNBA show. Shout out to you.
