The AI Apocalypse, the Left’s History of Crisis Warnings, and the Midterm Elections | Victor Davis Hanson

FanDuel has expanded its availability across the United States, emphasizing accessibility and responsible gambling with clear eligibility and restrictions. A personal anecdote about shingles underscores the importance of early medical consultation in managing health risks. Victor Davis Hanson presents a political analysis asserting that Donald Trump’s resurgence represents a counterrevolution against decades of progressive policies, targeting issues like immigration, crime, and government overreach. He critiques liberal media and political narratives, arguing they create hysteria and mislead the public. The segment also highlights rising geopolitical tensions, particularly with Iran, where intelligence suggests an imminent threat of attack, and warns that democratic gains could empower authoritarian regimes. A major concern is the escalation of racial tensions, fueled by social media content that portrays violent or hostile interactions between racial groups, leading to fear and tribalism. Hanson stresses that this polarization undermines social cohesion and increases risks of violence. He also notes a shift in global politics, with pro-American movements emerging in key regions, and warns that a loss of trust in institutions could lead to long-term societal instability. Ultimately, the discussion emphasizes the need for political authenticity, civic vigilance, and a return to traditional values to counter the influence of extremism and misinformation.

Victor will be talking about presidencies. I believe we're on Eisenhower and Fillmore or Pierce? Millard Fillmore. Millard Fillmore. Hello, this is Victor Davis Hanson for The Daily Signal. I have a new book out on September 8th of this year, and I think you're going to enjoy it. It's called Counterrevolution: The Fall and Rise of Donald Trump and the MAGA Movement. It starts right after January 6th and it details the lack of popularity of Donald Trump, the invective that he endured. The five civil and criminal trials, the effort to get him off the ballot, the raid on Mar-a-Lago, the two impeachments earlier, one in which he was tried as a private citizen, and yet he came back. How did he come back? And why did he come back? I explain in the book how he defeated his primary opponents, how he was outspent. He had a hostile media and he defeated the Democratic machine and Kamala Harris. It starts on January 6th. It ends pretty much now, in May of 2026. What's the title about? Donald Trump is not a revolutionary. He's not a revisionist. He's a counterrevolutionary. This time around, he is not addressing just the symptoms of the progressive project of the last 50 years. He's talking about the causes, not just an open border, but how to stop illegal immigration entirely. Not just crime, but sending the National Guard in to make sure cities are safe. Not just an Iranian nuclear threat, but ending that threat that seven other presidents had identified, but did not act on. Not just addressing the transgender issue or the Green New Deal and all of those issues that were so dear to the Democratic Party, but ending them, defunding NPR and PBS. So it is a counterrevolution to unwind and to roll back the entire regime. It's the entire progressive project of the last 50 years. I think you're going to like it. It's pretty interesting. It chronicles the greatest political comeback in our recent political history. Thank you very much. I'm Victor Davis Hanson for The Daily Signal. Welcome back. Victor Davis Hanson in his own words. Victor is the Martin A. Neely Anderson Senior Fellow in Military History and Classics. He's at the Hoover Institution and the Wayne and Marsha Buskey Distinguished Fellow in History at Hillsdale College. You can find him at his website, victorhansen.com is the URL, and the name of the website is The Blade of Perseus. And before we get to Iran, Victor, you have a New York Times number one bestseller. Yes. So you're at the very top. Exciting. I didn't think that would ever—I've been on the list before with other books, but never number one. I have a different formula than Amazon. I was on Amazon for four or five days, but no one really knows how they rank them. It's a combination of book sales, book reviews, bookstore sales, but it's secretive. But I was surprised because I'm not especially liked by the New York Times, but that was good. And I owe a lot to, as I said last time, to all the readers. I've been doing three to five books. I have interviews every single day since a week before the book came out. So I'm committed to basic that I'll do it for about a month. So I'm going to end up doing probably a hundred interviews. Some of the interviewers, by the way, are really brilliant and they know— Are you speaking of Adam Carolla or who—? Carolla, as I said, is sui generis. He said on our interview that he doesn't read much. He does by instinct. But he— Yeah. He's very bright, very bright, very perceptive. Bill O'Reilly, actually, he was very good, and I don't mean actually that I was not expecting it. He's just a, you know, he's doing his own podcast that's very successful, but he had a lot of astute questions. I've known Hugh Hewitt for 30 years. He's a brilliant guy. He really is. He's a renaissance person, and Megan and I had a good conversation. We disagreed on the around. We had a good conversation. I think we had a good conversation. And they're going to do, and unlike us, they're not just going to go after, you know, infrastructure, missile site. They're going to go after the command and control. And they did that once and wiped out two iterations of leadership. And they'll do it again. But I don't, nobody controls Donald Trump. I don't understand that. They say that the Jews are, he's independent. And when you talk about this demonization of Israel, what I mean by that is when we went last June, we had, what, six $2 billion bombers. Those are irreplaceable and skilled crews. And they flew right into Iran, which is unthinkable. But it was possible only because the IDF went in there for 11 days and destroyed their air defenses. So what is it? And we're not doing this for Israel. That's a collateral benefit for Israel. But we're doing this because intelligence said that their long-range missiles could hit Diego Garcia. And they did almost. And they can hit all the European capitals. And they're working on, they were working on missiles to hit us. And they were about two to three months from getting a bomb. And you know what was going to happen. They were going to do the lunatic routine. We are crazy. We want to go to heaven. We want the 72. We want the 72 virgins. We hate this world. We live to die, not die. We're not, you know, death is better for us than life. All that rigmarole, why they're totally corrupt. And they have penthouses in London and Paris. But that's what they say. And then you give them a weapon and they would say every single day, we're going to destroy the United States. We're going to do this. We're going to do that. And that would be endless. And they would. And then they would wait till a Democratic, Obama, Biden administration came in and they said, we want 400 billion, $400 million on pallets tonight, or we want you to separate from Israel, or we can, we'll keep the Strait of Hormuz open, but we're going to monitor what each nation says about us. And people forget that. They say, well, Donald Trump says he's going to reopen the Strait. That's only because. Because he closed it. It was always open contingent upon blackmail. And the reason that that regime was not attacked diplomatically by the European countries, and one of the reasons why the European countries, I'm talking about France, I'm talking about Britain, I'm talking about Italy, I'm talking about Germany. One of the reasons that they did not allow us full use of bases and airspace is because they have cut deals with the Iranians. And had they done that, Iran. Iran would have said to them, we're not going, we're going not let you go into the Straits of Hormuz. That's all lost, but it's in our interest to. No other president would have done it. All seven said they were going to do it. And he picked a midterm. He didn't just pick a midterm. He tried to negotiate. He tried to hit them. And as I said, all these critics, if there is a rebellion. Either before or after the midterms, and the dissidents go to the streets, and this time they have some arms, and that thing flips, it'll be as important as what Trump has done in the Western Hemisphere. It's completely flipped. It's democratic, pro-American, solidarity with the West. And you have an outlier, crazy Nicaragua, crazy Brazil, crazy Cuba, crazy Paraguay. And that is about it. Crazy Mexico with left-wing socialist anti-American governments. But they're under assault, too. So there's a wave of pro-Americanism. No Chinese companies running the Panama Canal. No puppet Maduro of China and Russia. So he's trying to do that in the Middle East and remake it. And there's a good chance he can succeed. And it may cost him the midterms. But if I were the Iranian people, I would say to myself. These Democrats, just like Obama in 2009, when we went out on the streets, we had a million people, and we said to the Obama administration that was newly elected, help us. Well, I can't do that. I'm working on an Iran deal with the Shia Crescent people. He didn't want to help them. And they know that. And they know that Democrats want to cut off the aid, and that empowers the theocracy. So if they're thinking that the Democrats might take the Senate and the House, then they have a window. They have a window of about 45 days to act. I don't know what that act would mean. But you do get little fragments of information, videos and phone calls, that they assemble cars and honk their horns, or they, on the street, scream at the. You know, there's isolated examples that they're getting desperate. Because there's two things going on. One, they're starving. They have no fuel and medicine. And number two, they know that. If the Democrats win this midterm, they're sunk. Because the Democrats will cut a deal immediately, cut off aid, and the theocracy will be empowered. And within a year, Europe will be paying it, and China, hundreds of billions of dollars for their oil. All right, Victor, let's go. We'll then turn to our. I think Peggy Flanagan and Michelle Tafoya for the Senate seat in Minnesota. And then Klobuchar, who they thought was a shoo-in for governor there. And then finally. Finally, the Tallarico campaign. I just wanted to say two news bits that have come out about Tallarico. One is that he's got a PAC that is trying to pay voters to go to the voting booth. And that's criminal. And then also, Tallarico's Reverend Miller, the guy, he came out on it. Yeah, he came out on it. by the Daily Wire investigator, said that once Tallarico gets elected, quote, he'll change his tune back to where he was. And they were addressing transgendered issues. I know, we know that, but maybe somebody might be surprised. When they asked him who was his favorite transgender dancer performer, he didn't even hesitate. It's like, let me go through my little Rolodex in my mind. I know all of them. So, he's a complete fraud. He gained notoriety in the state legislature. He said to himself, I'm a little pipsqueak white guy with a high-pitched voice that's been living and being supported by my mom. And I've never really bought my own house or married, had kids, or been on my own. She's paid my bills. I'm a prolonged adolescent. So, how do you get known? How do you get known? Well, I tell you how you get known. You say you're ashamed of your whiteness. And you say that God has many genders. And you just say these outrageous things, like he said. And then you get all this. And then the Texas party has a tendency of nominating crazy Democrats. Remember Beto? And they know that the money pours in from L.A. and New York because they hate Texas A and B. And they really hate Paxton. But they also hated Ted Cruz. And then they gin this up as this. we're going to flip Texas. So that's what he's doing. And then he had to moderate. So he got into a little room with his advisors and we know what happened. And they said, look, you're about as on Texas as possible. You don't look like a Texan. Your little pipsqueak voice doesn't sound like a Texan. So here's what you're going to do. I want you to get a cowboy hat. I want you to rent a big ram pickup. I want you to get boots and we'll cut some commercials that you're pure Texas. And then I want you to say that these were just youthful indiscretions and we're going to wipe out your whole past. Now we're going to don't say anything. It's kind of like what Obama did with Michelle when she said, this is a downright mean country. I've never been proud of America until they nominated Barack. They always raise the bar on us. Every time we accept the fact that we're going to win, we're going to win. And so I want you to get boots and they said, shut up, go back in your corner. Do not say anything and wear a flag pen. Once you're president, once he's president, once you're first lady, we'll unleash you again, at least until the midterms. And that's what they do because they're not authentic people. Whatever people say about Trump, he is authentic. He doesn't say, oh my gosh, I shouldn't have said that. He never does. Even his most controversial thing, you know, and so the polls for the Minnesota thing, things, the Minnesota elections and campaigns are showing that the Republicans are unusually close or even ahead. Michelle Tafoya has a, she's very attractive. She's very well-spoken. She's really boned up on the issues and she's got name recognition and people have seen her for 30 years on television and she's running against a complete radical crazy woman. So if she gets enough money, if Trump gives the pack, the 400 million or Elon give her 20 or $30 million to run ads about her opponent, she's got a good shot. The whole thing about these midterms is time. They don't have enough time because they lingered around. Like right now, what is we're talking? Trump should be out on the stump and he should be not talking about the White House. He should be talking about the White House. He should be talking about the House, not talking about the ballroom, not talking about the Kennedy center, not talking about anything that left wants him to talk about. He should say, can you believe this is the lowest reported poverty rate in history? I have done that. I have done more for the poor than every liberal politician in the great society tradition. Do you know that this is the lowest crime in 70 years? You know why? Because I sent federal troops into the worst crime area and I deported 500,000 criminals. You know that we had 160,000 jobs created and most of them are non-government. Do you know that I cut 400,000 jobs from the federal government and the unemployment has not gone up? It's only 4.1. Do you know the stock market reached record highs? Do you understand we have the record? And he can say all of that. They're not getting that message out. I don't know why, but they need to do that. Just forget all of the things the left wants them to talk about. Mr. President, did you blow up the East Wing? Mr. President, is the pool still polluted? The reflecting pool? Mr. President, isn't it true that the Kennedy family said that they want your name off it? Mr. President, isn't it true what Carney said? Just forget all that. Just go back on the record and say, this is my record. And now we're going to show you clips of what they're going to do. And he will win. They can win, but not if they get sidetracked. Not if they get sidetracked. No, not at all. Well, the same goes for Tallarico's opponent, Rogers. Which one? The guy running against Tallarico. Paxton? Paxton. Paxton needs to get out there and campaign like there's no tomorrow. I know that he has a checkered record. I know that Trump said he's not good looking and can't speak. I've seen him. He's not bad looking and he's not a bad speaker. He was on television the other night and he was very good. And Ted Cruz is absolutely right when he said, get out and vote for Paxton. He's one of us. And if he'll get out there and campaign and point out the difference between his record and these crazy socialists. This man is a madman, Tallarico. He's every bit as dangerous as Saeed. And he said that he was basically ashamed of his whiteness. How can a person say that? What is he ashamed of? Abraham Lincoln? Thomas Edison? George Washington? Monroe? FDR, if you're a liberal? JFK? What is it you're ashamed of, of your whiteness? Tell us that. $21 trillion in repertory Great Society redistribution to black? Is that what you're. Firmly of action? Do you realize, Mr. Tallarico, if you have a son and you're a middle class and you have no connection, until this year, he had about a 9%. He had a 0% chance of getting into Stanford, but only 9% were white males. What more do you want? Do you realize what BLM did with their $100 million? Do you understand that? Do you ever criticize. I don't see the crime rate. Whites make up 65% to 70% of the population. I do not see them committing even 65% or 70% of the crimes. They're underrepresented in their share of perpetrators of hate crimes, and they're overrepresented as victim, if you include Jews as well. So I don't get it. I don't. I don't get this "I'm ashamed of my whiteness." That's just a. He's just saying that so that he can. You know, there was. Somebody sent me something. They made the point that all the people who say that don't mean it. Ilyan Omar left her black husband for a new white husband, right? And AOC lived with a white guy for years until she just dumped him because she's trying to. He's trying to be presidential material. And it's very common for the most radical of these candidates that talk and demonize whiteness, Don Lemon, Limon, or whatever he wants to call himself. All he can talk about are the evils of whiteness. He has. He's living with a white man. So I don't. I don't get it. And I think it's gonna boomerang on them. I didn't know anything, I'll confess that, about TikTok or YouTube or X videos. I knew nothing. And then people started sending me this. And then I discovered that there are these, the subtext is, 40% is now on racial questions. And it's really scary. And it is mostly this theme of young black women and young black men attacking stores, swarming, looting, attacking white people. And then there's two sub-genres, as I can detect it. One is white people who said they're done, they're angry. And they get into really racist anger. And then there's another subset of black people who say, I don't blame white people because ghetto culture is violence and nihilism and it's suicidal. And so the whole racial question is being played out with videos. I don't know if they're representative of that. I don't know if they're representative of actual data or not, but it's getting to a fever pitch. And so, and there's all these subset themes. One subset theme is hundreds of video, thousands of black women being pulled over by cops, sometimes for legitimate, you know, speeding, sometimes because they don't have a sticker on their license. They're all legitimate, but, and then they get abusive and they start screaming and yelling and don't comply. And then they're arrested. Or they go to a store. Or they go to a store and they feel they've been, they've been disrespected and then they cause a big scene or they go to a plane and they, and that everybody films out. And then there's the other scene where there's just absolute violence between black and white. You know what I mean? There are black videos that say we got another whitey. There's another white videos that say whitey's fighting back and self-selects when they win fights. But the point is this new medium. Is addressing head on and exaggerating and fueling racial anger on both sides. And this is new because I said both sides. Yeah. And I would wish that people would speak out more about tribalism because if we keep going down this road that everybody identifies by your tribe and you despise the people who don't look like you, historically, the large tribe wins. So, so-called whitey is 65%. 75% to 70% of the population and what I'm seeing are very liberal people. who profess that they're racially ecumenical, but in their personal lives, they self-segregate, and they are very worried about their children's safety in certain places. And so I think that everybody's got to stop it before it's going to get really dangerous territory. But law enforcement needs to be involved, too. Did you, on that, your college? And they said he used a, you know, he had a smirk on his face or whatever, but he used a law enforcement approved. And since Derek Chauvin, there's all sorts of videos with police when they get a non-ruly black or white person, and he won't get in the car. He swings. They finally tackle him. He's swinging. And how to keep him down when they handcuff, he tries to get up. They put their knee, and they touch his neck. So every time he raises up. They hit. If the person is intoxicated on drugs, recovering from COVID, and has cardiovascular problems, that's dangerous. And George Floyd fit all of those categories. But usually, that is not a lethal position. And they don't want to get involved because they saw what happened to Derek. He used an approved Minneapolis City procedure, and now he's sitting. They're in prison for murder. Yes. And just to make a note, because that horrific video of these young girls being attacked on their porch, they said when they were, the ones that were there. It was in York, Pennsylvania. In York College, Pennsylvania. It wasn't on the college campus, though. But they said they called 911 five times. They called campus police, too. Yeah, and campus police. And neither one came. I know. And I don't think whatever their explanation. The subtext is somebody, whether the dispatcher or the police, said, I am not going to go over there and wade into 30 or 40 black young women to save two white girls because that would require a level of force that they're all going to have. And they did. You could see their little selfies and their camera. They're going to film me trying to resist their violence with pushing. And that's good. And I will be targeted. They'll dox me. My name will be on it. I'm not going to do it. And that's the popular, the larger culture has created those conditions. But then ask yourself, if you're the parents of those girls, what would you do right now? You would say, my daughter is sitting on a porch and she goes to college in this area. And maybe it's York College or something. It doesn't really specify. And she was obviously at a campus or she wouldn't have called near a campus, a campus police. And nobody came. And they can't protect her or they won't protect her. So it's going to happen again. Do I really want to risk that? And that's why you see all of this, all of this new crime. And because you have now instant, I don't understand one thing. Why, when you are massing a group of people of one race and you're 30 to 1, and this girl is on the ground, passed out, and you're kicking her and stomping her, and she's on her own property and you've invaded it. Why would you take pictures of all of that and then post it on the Internet? What's the point to show you that you're getting whitey or what? Because all you're going to do is show facial recognition. It's predicated either that you're triumphal, but it's also predicated that you think there's no consequences because you're identifying yourself committing a felony. She could have easily been killed and they would have been accessory to murder or murders themselves, but I guess they feel there's no consequences. So I know every time I've been pulled over for traffic violations, maybe four times in my 73 years, and I've always said, yes, sir, no, sir. And I've had at least two policemen that have tried to egg me on. What do you think you're doing, huh? And I said, can I have your registration? And I gave them, this isn't your registration. This is your insurance card. So I said, could you read that again carefully? What did you say? I said, I gave you my registration. It's not my insurance card. The insurance card is right here. I gave you that earlier. Well, you're really smart, aren't you? So then he went back and sat on his motorcycle for 15 minutes with a hundred and five degrees. Why I had to sit there. He said, don't leave until I check you out. But I saw him. He was laughing, talking on his cell phone to people. Did I ever get out of my car? No. Did I ever get rude to him? No. Did I think that this was the norm? No. But the point is when you don't ever do that, you never, ever, ever question, get rude, try to confront a armed police officer. And yet that's what. Everybody's doing. And then they wonder why they get a reaction. Another thing they don't understand is you don't go. There's another, all these, don't go to a service station, pull out your gun and think that 99.9 times the person's going to say, please don't shoot. Here's all my money. 10% of the time, the person's going to pull out a gun and shoot you. And that just happened in Illinois. And so all of these issues are being played out in popular culture. On social media videos and that it's, it's jacking up tensions, but it's not good. And one of the results of it is there has been a radical loss of confidence in the white community about the old Martin Luther King idea of ecumenical integration. Everybody's equal opportunity. They don't believe there's equal opportunity. They believe that certain groups have a quality of result advantages. And the other thing that's missing from the racial issue is a whole generation of young people came up. They don't know anything about the South, the civil rights, Jim Crow, nobody. And to the degree that they know anything and they went to college, they know it's indoctrination and all they get ranted at. They don't ask to discuss issues. They they're talked down to. And the result of this is when 55% of the population of campuses are women, and you're told you're people. You're toxic masculinity, et cetera, you've got a whole genre now. And this is what Nick Fuentes and those people are taking advantage of that are disorientated and they feel that people hate them because of their gender and their race, so they don't want to date. They don't want to integrate and they're angry. And a lot of people are appealing to that anger and they have, they're legitimately angry, but where this. Anger is expressed and how is up for grabs right now. Well, since we're there, um, did you see, I don't know if you have any thoughts on that Hayden Panettiere was a actress and she recently died from Oxycontin pills that were laced with fentanyl, and I was wondering if you had any, anything on the fentanyl situation right now that you wanted to talk about. They misunderstand that. Um, we say 60 to 80,000 Americans have traditionally died from fentanyl overdoses. And the overdoses come from China exporting raw product to the cartels who then in their cartel factories, turn it into pills, but on like past drugs, they don't say they don't have a big. Round white pill with an F on it. Fentanyl, because they know people have a bad reputation for fentanyl. They're scared of it. So what they do is they make fake Valium, fake Ativan, fake second, all fake barbiturates are oxycodone or hydrocodone or whatever. And that per, then they sell it across the border and people think they're at a party and somebody says, you want, Hey, do you want a couple of reds? You want a couple of Valiums to chill out and that it's fentanyl laced with fentanyl. Maybe it has a little bit of Valium who knows. And that's how, and China does it because they want to cause cultural disruption and death in the United States. Mexico does it partly out of spite of the United States, but partly because the cartels. Inject about $20 billion from their foreign criminal activity into the Mexican economy, which with the $65 billion, 20 billion from drugs, 65 from remittances that comprises the largest source. And along with their $200 billion surplus, I have been on record that I'm very worried about the Canadian American dispute. But if you put it in context, we have a $50 billion dispute with Canada when their perpetual trade surpluses, they're not until last year, they claim, I think that claim could be rebuted. rebutted but that they haven't been spending what they should on their nato promises but compared to to mexico 200 billion dollar surpluses fentanyl deliberately sent here to kill people 65 billion leaving our economy to mexico alone another 60 to central america most of that money either gained through cash without paying income tax on it or subsidized by federal state and local welfare programs to free up the cash to send back and when you put all that together not even talking about the multi-billion cost of elite we should be directing our attention primarily to mexico carney is a globalist that has deep-seated hatred of the united states he does and he's a problem because he's whipped up all of this anti-american feeling in canada without ever going before parliament and saying here's the transcript here's all the communications here's the evidence here's my minister sitting beside me for the next hour you can ask any of them what happened they will have faced no repercussions and i'll so victor uh we're on to the president um segment of our saturday show and you're going to look at millard fillmore and dwight d eisenhower and i'm excited to hear yes millard fillmore was the vice president of our last uh we we're going through a period of what they we call mediocrities benjamin harrison was only there for 30 days and then we had william henry harrison excuse me and then we had 30 um uh i guess it was less about a year of john time and then we had um i guess it was less about a year of john ty or three years of john tyler and then last time we did um poke no we didn't do poke we did poke and then we went from poke to um we haven't done franklin pierce yet we did zachary taylor and so zachary taylor followed and he died um in the first year he ate strawberries and had milk in a hot temperatures and that fermented that's what the we were always told in school when we used to study the presidents but his vice president was millard fillmore one second it fermented in his stomach so i don't mean it caused a stomach ailment maybe he had an ulcer or whatever maybe or expanded this stomach and he was what 72 or something like that so then millard fillmore who had been kind of an upstate new york non-indian entity a lawyer and he tried to get the the uh nomination before and he he couldn't and so he finished out three years of the zachary taylor um and he's usually considered one of the worst presidents i've always thought that was unfair he's considered one of the worst presidents for two reasons he was president when justice taney found that the fugitive state uh slave act was constitutional which meant that under federal law if you were in massachusetts or new hampshire or new york a free state an abolition state and a slave from tennessee ran away and in your jurisdiction you were giving him sanctuary but the supreme court said that the slave owner who hired slave detectives could go up north and round them up and they were on under obligations fillmore when asked about that as well as the effects of the the big issue was texas was trying to take over new mexico so it would not come in the new mexican territory as a free state utah there was getting to the point where the south said we're hitting into the west now and all of the southern slave plantation culture has been confined to the confederacy and the north is letting in states along the west coast and in the southwest and they don't have a history of slavery so we've got to absorb them or we've got to tell utah that it's a slave state or we've got to attack cuba and take cuba that was the theory behind it and fillmore didn't really oppose it he just said you know i don't want a civil war so we're going to attack cuba and we're going to attack cuba and we're going to attack cuba and we're going to let the states decide what they want to do so if a state decides it wants to be slave it can be slave it wants to be and that just kicked the ball down the road and he didn't do anything about the the um fugitive slave decision and then he he finished out his term and uh he lost to franklin pierce and or he didn't get the nomination how's that pierce was i think a republican so we're going to go through a period here of john tyler harrison 30 days tyler just a year and then we're going to have scott three years scott um yes and then we're going to have millard phillips and then we're going to have scott three years and then we're going to have millard stillmore and then we're going to have oh and this we we're not counting polk who was a great president before all this and then we're going to have pierce and then we're going to have buchanan the democrat this is a period of republican dominance republican and wig dominance and the democrats can't win these elections because the confederacy doesn't have the electoral votes so sometimes people like pierce will um fillmore will appeal to voters in the south because he says i'm a yankee republican dash wig but i want to let you have your state's rights so he's and then after he was out of office he kept trying to get nominated again and there was a movement called the no nothings and people have misinterpreted that they think it's a nihilism do you believe in the enlightenment i know nothing i'm proud of being an ignoramus no it wasn't about that It was in the 1840s, 50s, and 60s, but especially 1840s and 50s, there had been the potato famine. And there was a huge influx into America of over a million Irish, and they came destitute. And they had a very different culture. And this was a 90% Protestant country. And this was a Catholic group. And so the nativist American party and people associated would say, we are being infected by rum, i.e., they're all drunks. Romanism, they're all subject slaves to the Roman Catholic Church. And rebellion, they're always trying to cause riots, et cetera. That would be extended to the very beginning. The beginning of the Italian diaspora. So people from Sicily were already trickling in by 1870 and 80, 90, and they fit that bill. They drank too much wine, not Irish whiskey, but too much wine. They were Catholic and anarchists, the anarchist movement. So when they asked the know-nothings why they call them, they said, are you a nativist? I know nothing about it. I know nothing. They wouldn't talk about it. So he was black. But historians look back and said he didn't do anything with the slave revolts. That's the slave question. He kicked it down the road. He turned it over to the states, which ensured the Civil War. And he was later a know-nothing. But what they don't say is he was in a very difficult period, whether you could have had a civil war right then. And he tried to find compromises. He was kind of a naive weakling, but he didn't want to take Cuba. He didn't want to expand. He wasn't an imperialist. He didn't want to aggravate Mexico. He didn't want to reunite. People had said we could have at least taken the Baja. We can go back and get it. He didn't want to do that. He didn't want to antagonize the South. He was a northerner. So he was a placeholder. And unfortunately, it only made it worse. But historians, I think, recently have been a little bit kinder to him. The one that they've been really angry about. And I think righteously so is the worst president was Buchanan. Of course, some of that is homophobia, because he was probably the first openly gay. We didn't say in those days, but pretty clear he was gay. And people had been critical of him. Don't the Democrats hate most Jackson these days? Who, Jackson? Yeah, isn't that the current thing? Arthur Schlesinger, the Democratic. Historian, wrote a book, The Age of Jackson. They loved Jackson because he was a populist and he was not an aristocrat. Not anymore, though. No, he was genocidal, anti-Native American. But we'll see when we do Pierce and then we'll do. But this is a period of mediocrity, four or five presidents. And then we should remember that after the Civil War, we're going to see that Lincoln, Andrew Johnson, and you're going to see from about eight, with the exception of Grover Cleveland came back, his two interrupted terms, you're going to be from the Civil War until 1912 with Woodrow Wilson, it's going to be all Republican. Karl Rove, when he was in working for the Bush administration, used to say that if we do everything right, we can have a 50-year Republican dominance. Because the left was going, of course, that dream ended up shredded in Iraq and the Obama phenomenon. But the conservatives made the argument that one reason you had the guilted age and the big boom and we came out of nowhere. And by 1875, we were outproducing Britain and Germany and the Industrial Revolution. And we had all the inventions, Edison, Bell, et cetera. It was because of this laissez-faire Republican attitude toward business. And then the regulators came in and choked it off. I don't know if that's the piece. As far as Eisenhower, he has crept up and up and up. He was a good president. And it started out, he wasn't really ideological. He was never a Democrat or Republican. In fact, after he came out of World War II, both sides wanted him to run. But he was, he said he was liberal and nice to people, but he was conservative with their money. And he, George Patton said he was a terrible general, that he couldn't make up his mind. And he gave too much authority to Montgomery, who was a plotter. And if he had let Patton go, we would have ended the war in autumn of '44. I think that's possible. But what they didn't see about Ike was, he had to deal with a very erratic FDR. George Marshall was the epitome of rectitude, and he was the liaison. And then he had to deal with the British. The British, by 1945, only had 10% of the manpower. Americans had 90%. But nominally, Montgomery was the same as Omar Bradley, the two twin commanders. And we said, just forget the British, and give up. Give us all the stuff, because we're producing it. And he said, no, we're going to make it 50/50. So we were supplying the British and Canadian armies for the most part. And they thought he gave Montgomery the disastrous Market Garden campaign. It was a disaster. And that cut off the First and Third Army Americans from advancing. And they got stuck in the winter, and the rest was the Ardenne Battle of Bulge. Had they just said, Monty, that is the most-- if Ike had just said, Monty, that is the most crackpot idea I have ever heard of. The idea you're going to go on a one-lane road high up over the tributaries at the mouth of the Rhine, and then you're going to go into the Ruhr with, what, 10 divisions, when they have about 100? This is insane. We're going to back Hodges and Patton. They're only 100 miles from the Rhine, and they've got over a million men. And we're going to push through there. So he was a diplomat. But what he did do was he kept the coalition together. And he was not anti-British publicly. Privately, he hated Montgomery, and he resented Churchill. But he was a very-- and Brooke. Brooke didn't like him, Alan Brooke. But he did a great job as a conceder. So he came out. He became president of Columbia University. And the Republicans were thinking, we almost get close. We had Wilkie in '40. He washed up. And then Dewey, he was supposed to win, and he lost in '44. And we don't have anybody that can butt up against the Democratic machine. And then they said, well, Harry Truman's not going to run in '52. And they don't have a centrist like Trump. They have Adlai Stevenson, an old aristocratic family that's hard left, new dealer. And Ike then ran as a centrist. And he had to keep the Republican Party together. And that was the rise of the McCarthy period. So McCarthy was running around, and Nixon was his vice president, saying, he's a commie, he's a commie. A lot of them were commies. And then they started calling George Marshall, his former superior, a commie. And Ike didn't really defend him. He just said, he didn't get involved. Marshall never really forgave him. But when he was elected, he was an anti-colonialist. The French came and said, we can defeat the Viet men if you will give us air support. And we said, we'll give you some supplies. We're not going to involve. No, no. And then the British and the French and the Israelis came to him and said, Nasser nationalized the Suez Canal. And he said, we're not going to do that. We're going to do it. And he said, we're going to do it. Ike said, no, no, no, no, no, no. We're going to just stay at the 38th parallel. And that ended the Korean War like he promised. But a lot of people blamed Ike. MacArthur said there is no substitute for victory. MacArthur hated Ike. And he was still ruminating about running. But when you actually look what he did over eight years, he was the most popular, second most popular president as far as polls. He had seen the autobahns. So he created the interstate highway system, freeway system. He did that. And he desegregated the military. Truman had started it. He finished it. And then he desegregated the Arkansas schools. He just let things happen. And when there were protests and decisions, then he intervened. He wasn't leading that, but he was. He was always intervening on the side of desegregation. And he didn't have to deal with a bunch of Southern Democrats who weren't going to vote for him. So he had a very successful president. Why he didn't get credit was because what followed him was JFK. And JFK, when he debated Nixon, he said, the do-nothing president. I'm not 75 years old. I'm not tired. He was young and tan and vigorous. And he made the argument. Ike had a heart attack. He was weak. And we just kind of fell asleep. What he didn't tell us was the period from 52 to 60 was really the last period where the U.S. economy, military, and culture dominated the entire world. The Europe was still flat. China wasn't around. Russia was still dealing with World War II damage. Japan was. We were preeminent. And Ike represented that. But then when Kennedy came along, nobody told anybody that he was an inveterate womanizer, that he had Addison's disease, adrenaline disease. He was high on steroids. He took uppers. And he had a terrible personal life. And Eisenhower, except for his Kay Summersby little interlude, nobody really know whether that was his chauffeur, whether that was consummated. She had a book, tell-all book. And she came to the United States. And then gave an interview where she said that they were going to consummate it, but Ike might have not been able to fulfill his manly require. I don't know if that's true. That was a rumor. But other than that, there was zero scandals. They kind of said, well, there's Sherman Adams. And one of your guys had a mink coat. He didn't. It was a gift. Another person said, well, you wrote your crusade in Europe. And you made $500. That's like, I don't know, 10 million today. And you said it was all capital gains tax. You didn't pay the income tax rate. So they tried to get him on that, but he was pretty rectitude. And then once things all finished with once we got the true note, true story of JFK, that he did some good things, but he was reckless. His personal life was completely amoral. And he wasn't young and energetic. He had a broken back. He had serious health care. That was kind of like a Joe Biden contrivance. Then Ike went back. They said, well, that was all lies with Kennedy. There was a missile gap that Ike wasn't. He was too weak. He was too tired. He didn't press America. We got to go in and we're going to go into Vietnam and stop the domino theory. We're going to rearm. There's a missile gap. That was all hyped up. Good man, great president. Yes. All right, Victor. So we're going to take a break, but we're going to come back and talk about the two hardest topics this Saturday. And that is the status of AI. There's been a lot of hysteria out there. And there's been a lot of talk about Donald Trump's, well, Donald Trump Jr. and influence peddling in the Middle East. I think you're referring to the lame duck, Dan Goldman, the hard left congressman, I think he's from Massachusetts, heir to the Levi Strauss. He went on a rant and said that. We need to take a break first. Yes. Well, he went on a rant and said that Don had been only worth 50 and now he's worth 300. And then he opened that and he promised that they were going to investigate them. That's why it came up. You're not bringing it up just to be anti-Trump. That's to react to what the Democrats are saying. Yes. All right. Let's take a break and we'll come back and talk. We'll talk about that first and then we'll go on to the AI. Stay with us and we'll be back. Many Americans are going to have a big wake-up call. We have never seen net migration as high as it has been in the last few years. This year, there have been more people coming to the UK in small boats than ever before. You did an extreme thing to the country. Britain is facing a migrant crime epidemic. We don't actually know where they're coming from, who they are, how old they are. Why would you let in millions of people who are unvetted? If not to change the country from within. There is no other word for it. Demographic replacement. England's a blueprint for America. It's coming. It's just a blueprint. Thousands of daily migrant crossings. A political earthquake threatens to reshape America. We are showing there is a new path for politics in our country. Not all cultures are the same. You cannot ban Sharia. America is a nation of immigrants. We are a nation of immigrants. We're a nation of immigrants. The immigration crisis. Watch now on the Heritage Foundation's YouTube channel. First, and then we'll turn to AI after. Well, every president has the problem. Everyone. So with George H.W. Bush, it was his one of his sons was involved in the banking collapse. He had investigated. When it was George W. Bush, they claimed that when his father was president, that he got a sweetheart deal with a Houston baseball team and got $30 million. When it was Obama, they were talking that, remember, all of his cousins and relatives were getting visas and things like that. When it was Biden, no need. There was the whole. There was the whole consortium. They made $30, $40 million. They were all crooked, and they had pardon. The laptop tells it all. Mr. 10%, Mr. Big Guy, Hunter's laptop. But can I just say something to this? And I'm talking about this. I'm very definitely very pro-Trump, but, you know, these things are out there. And this is. No, I know. But hold on a second. As far as Hunter Biden, he was, you're talking $10 million or something. Yeah, this, these accusations are hundreds of millions. Well, the specific accusation is that in a year and a half, he has increased his net worth by $250 million. One person, Don Jr. And there are people around him that are associated with the 1789 Fund and the Rockbridge Fund that have been under accusations. These are allegations. I don't have the information to even suggest of any wrongdoing. I'm just trying to echo what the Democrats are saying. The Democrats are saying that certain brilliant startup defense, like Anduril, that when these, when these companies go public. Investment funds run by people around. Don Jr., three or four of them get first crack at it or they get finders fees or they get entree fees. So how was that? What are the accusations? The accusations are something like they're in the Middle East and they go over there and they understand that the Trump administration has now been much more favorable to Saudi Arabia and protecting them. And they say to these private investors in the Middle East and government. Investors, we have a lot of really good companies you should invest in. Those companies allegedly are paying them finders fees, huge finders fees. So the accusation is, well, Victor, just take away Trump. And with these people under Biden or Trump's successor have that same degree of success. And the answer is probably no. So therefore they are trading on their. Knowledge of Trump. So they call up, say, the assistant director of procurement and the pen. Pentagon. Hey, this American company is really great. You got to buy it. And the allegation goes, well, that guy thinks, well, if I turn down this person, he's related to Donald Trump, I'll be in trouble. So that's what's going on. It's not so much that anybody has said, here is a smoking gun and they broke the law. What they're alleging and what they will be, if they win the house, we're going to have a circus. What they're saying is at this point, they didn't have any money. And at this point, they never showed enough financial acumen to make money. Now leap over to where we are now, and they're all multimillionaires. How did that happen? There's only one explanation. They traded on the Trump brand to get sweetheart deals, both from American and golf companies. And then the devil will be. They're going to call them up. And that's what they're going to say to them. They've already given us a hint. You were worth 50 million, Don, and now you're worth 300 million. How did you do that when you have had no noticeable success in the past of that magnitude? And now you do, because your dad's president. But whether they have the goods or not, or whether they have something, I don't know. I doubt it. But it looks unethical, not so much illegal. Hunter's was illegal. You know, that Burisma and all of that stuff. But it's something that. The other problem is the MAGA people ran on the idea that the Bidens were corrupt and that Hunter got a pardon because he didn't pay millions of dollars in income tax. He was getting gifts from all these places to live. He probably made $20 million that he went through himself. He was paying for the utilities of his dad. But he didn't pay millions of dollars. Hunter's was illegal because they were signing checks to each other for income repayment. Remember that? And they never showed you what the original loan was. So they were crooked from A to Z. But if you're going to run that they're crooked and you're going to use that as a campaign aid, then you have to be exonerated of the same charge. And they're under suspicion. And if they lose, it just depends on whether they lose the house. There's two scenarios that are going to happen. If they lose the house, they're going to lose the house. If they lose the house, because the house alone has subpoena power, they will all be in there. And it'll be two years of a circus. It'll be impeachment, investigation, welfare. And that's number one. And then if they get a preemptive pardon in two and a half years, that'll be very bad. Like Biden did to Hunter. Basically said, I don't know what you did, son, but from this date to this date, nobody's going to be in there. And then they're going to lose the house. They can get you on a federal offense. So I just wish they wouldn't do it. So to not endanger the president. But it's going to get. You're absolutely right. The magnitude of profit is bigger than we've ever seen. And so one of the ways that Goldman gave us a preview, they're going to go in there and they're going to say, this is what you were worth, as I said, and this is what you're worth now. Explain how you did that. And they're going to have to explain that. I hope they're preparing legal defense. If anything, they're going to have a huge legal bill. Yeah. All right, Victor, let's then turn to the other big topic this week was AI. The anthropic CEO came out, Dario Amodi, and said that it's AI. There was going to be an apocalypse by the end of this decade, so 2030, that would make humans extinct. Right. Lead to the extinction. But more than that, Jacob Coxon resigned from Anthropic and said that this was going to be a problem. They're calling for. These AI companies are calling for global monitoring or at least governmental monitoring. And everybody's suspicious of that, that they want to monopolize the industry. And then the last two things. Prince Charles has come out. He's going to be the first to come out. He's going to come out with a warning about AI. He's also come out that he loves mosque all over Britain. Yeah. And Frederick Mertz, the chancellor of Germany, in questioning said, we have to do something about it and don't come back to me that this is some infringement of free speech. Okay, so they have to do something about it. Can we just have a little info? Of the 10 top AI corporations in the world, eight of them, eight are American. One is, I think number eight is French or Chinese and number 10 is a European company. So let's be clear. They're talking about America, America. We want to stop the Americans. They're so far ahead of everybody that we want to regulate it and make it a global project. There's two or three issues here. It's kind of like, it would be kind of like this. This Coxon guy or the head of chat AI, all this, the Google people, Claude, what all of them that are doing this. Let's just say I'm Victor and I'm a scientist and I've been kind of looking around. I read there's a couple of people like me and I'm making this new chemical that's more powerful than nuclear weapons. And maybe some of the others are too. And I think we need an international conference to stop it because I'm going to do something terrible. And you want to say, well, don't do it. Don't do it. Come out and tell us that you're going to voluntarily restrain yourself and making a lot of money by doing it. So that was number one. Number two is it's in the midterms. So we've known about AI all the way back to the Terminator movies, right? Why all of a sudden, 45 days before the election, we're going to blow up the planet and Trump and AI. So it was fabricated. And then third, do they have a history of this? Yes. So a lot of people say, well, we went through the population bomb. Paul Ehrlich said, we're all going to die. And Thomas Malthus was right. Famous British aristocrat bet him a lot of money and said the following 10 items, oil, iron, air, copper will be cheaper in 10 years than they are now. And he lost that bet early. And then we had Al Gore that took global warming and turned it in climate change. That was brilliant because he said, we're all going to die. But some of us are going to die because it's too hot in the desert. And some of us are going to die because it's too much water and rain on the coast. Of course, he didn't believe that. Because he had, I don't know, somebody mentioned that he flew private and he had a huge house and Obama built a house right on the beach. He didn't believe it. And of course, then we went through the COVID mania where we locked down and we were hunting, you know, people with skateboards out in the middle of the open with masks that were 17 years old that weren't. And we went, we're going to lock them up. Boy, 10,000 illegals were coming across the border. We went through the me too. You remember that? So all of a sudden, Garrison Keillor put his hand one time on the back of a woman, patting her, says he was trying to comfort her. That was it. As I remember. And the next thing, you know, his books are off. NPR has fired him. He's, he's destroyed. Or Kavanaugh allegedly is going to be confirmed. He's a conservative. He'll make the difference. And the next thing you know, somebody, when he was 18 years old, can't remember any of the details, but says she was sexually assaulted with no witnesses. And they ran that thing. That ended by the way, when all the things came out, what killed me too was all of a sudden they said, okay, Joe Biden. Remember when he was in 2020, they had all these women that came forward and then Tara Reid came forward that he was, she was said she was digitally raped by him. Oh, and then Bill Clinton, they had all the women and they said, wow, they're going to ruin the reputation of our only candidate that's viable. And Bill Clinton, he's still an icon. Let's, I declare me too over. It's over with. And then we had the George Floyd mania. Remember that after the COVID lockdown, then we had George Floyd where all of a sudden no SAT police are shooting blacks all over that are on arm. That was a lie. Got to give money to BLM. They'd stole it. But there's one thing I want to get to and I'll shut up. Every one of those things was drummed up by the left. So take a look very quickly. 19, when did the population bomb came out that we're all going to die because of overpopulation? 1968. Who was running? Humphrey and Nixon. Who was cast as the devil in the media as a person who is offending American capitalism and consumerism? and not worrying about the planet, Richard Nixon. That thing swept the world. 1992, global warming turns into climate change. Who wrote the founding document? Al Gore. His book came out, his climate change book, as a campaign book saying that the internal combustion engine and right-wing capitalism, earth in the balance. Remember that book? That was Al Gore's. And he became a billionaire. I mean, he was the guru, but it was a campaign book. Me Too. What really fueled Me Too? It was there, but it was the Kavanaugh hearing when it really got out of control. And what was the purpose? The left gen that up to stop a key Republican from being nominated. 2000, what was the. What started the whole COVID mania and that we're going to shut down everything? The Trump in January of 2020, the Trump economy was setting records. It had like 1.9 inflation. It had like 3% unemployment. It was booming. And then we've got to shut this down. Anthony Fauci, we've got to shut the car. We have to. What was the word they said? You know, they. It was. Everybody has to. No mask. Well, one mask, no two masks. Station in place. What was it? Say in place. That word they used for. You're going to just. Yeah, not sequester in place. Yeah, but remain in place. I can't remember what the word was. It was a cute little form. We're going to shut down the economy. You're all going to stay in your. And then people like Scott Atlas said, well, if you do this, we're going to have soaring suicide rates. Drug use, familial abuse, alcoholism, missed cancer screens, breast cancer rates are going to go up. Everybody's going to be in their house. Then when you unlet them, it's. Then when they come out, they're going to be crazy. And then we had George Floyd, and they were crazy. And then there was a George Floyd. What year did that happen? 2020. So is that a pattern that all of these psychodramas, 1968 election, Democrats use that? 2020. 1992, Al Gore says he's going to save the world from George Bush and the Republicans' fossil fuels, and we're all going to die. And then, oh, I should say another one. 1983, Ronald Reagan is headed right toward re-election, landslide re-election. And the Democrats are going to do. I know what it is. It's. And the Russians had had missiles, mobile missiles stationed in Europe on trailers pointing at NATO. Right. And nobody did anything about it. Reagan said, take them out. And they said, no, okay, we're going to put. Pushing to. And our missiles are better than yours. And so they put them all through Germany. The next thing we knew, it was 1983, headed into the campaign. And Carl Sagan, the beloved astronomer, he said. He coined up a new word. They always coined up a new word. Population bomb. Earth in the balance. Global warming. Climate change. His was nuclear winner. We're looking at a nuclear winner. This is going to be a nuclear exchange. It's going to be a nuclear winner. And let me give you the data on a nuclear winner. Within two days of a nuclear exchange, clouds form. Within six weeks, crops fail. Within 10 months, we're all dead. And then Hollywood said, we're going to film a film of this. It was. What was it called? The Day After? Yeah, I think it was called The Day After. Yeah. Something like that. Something like that, yeah. I don't know who it was. Jill Claiborne or somebody like that. She later became an official in the Clinton government. It was not Jill Claiborne, but it was somebody like her. But anyway, you watch that movie, and it was like all these mushroom clouds in the Kansas or the Midwest. And then they're all. I have. One little girl said, I have not had sexual relations yet. What's it like, Mom? We're all going to die. It was horrible. It was a horrible movie, but it scared everybody. And Ronald Reagan was. Reagan was the villain. I remember going into Selma Safeway in 1983 in November, and a good friend of mine from high school came up. And he said, hey, somebody told me you voted for Reagan. I said, I didn't. I wasn't allowed to vote for Reagan in 1980, my parents. But I voted for John Anderson. I could not vote for Jimmy Carter. Well, are you going to vote for Mondale? He looks like he's. I said, no. And they said, well, you want nuclear war, don't you? Yeah. You want to blow up the world. Did you see this movie last night? It's called Nuclear Winter. So Carl Sagan made a whole career. He went all over. Campaign year. So what I'm getting at is AI is now. Why? Because we're going into the midterms. Everybody's known about the issues. And all of a sudden, the Democrats said, the Tesla thing is done for. The ICE thing is done for. They're no longer visible in the North. They're hanging out in the South. And they're doing it stealthily. Italy. The no kings has been done. What do we have? I know what we have. We're all going to die from AI, just like it's used in the past. So let's gen it up and they won't have time. And then they said, and we'll do what we always do, an international colloquium of experts. And I'm thinking, how did the League of Nations work? How did the Washington, how about the Kellogg-Briand Act, that proviso that was going to, pact, that was going to outlaw war, remember that? And then there was the Washington Naval Treaty, what's going to, we're all going to get together and restrict the size of battleships. That didn't work out when people cheated. And then we had the Paris Climate Control, don't forget the Munich Accord. And so my point is, every time you get a group of nations and they're going to, we're going to set rules for AI, it all depends on the weakest link. And so China will be involved, which means it'll be like COVID. Trump got out of the WHO. Well, the WHO was a Chinese-run front, and so was the International Criminal Court. And you look at, as I just said, we're controlling it. Everybody said that China was ahead. We're way ahead. All of our companies, nine out of the 10 companies in market capitalization are American, eight out of the 10. And now the world says, we need an international conference to control these Americans, because they're way ahead of us. And the Chinese, they're worried too. And they're on our side now with Canada and EU. And so now they're all, the Democrats are saying, Bernie Sanders, right out of the socialist, communist handbook. Out there ranting and raving. And so the only way to control AI is not to let the Chinese have it, because they are not a consensual, transparent society. We have a free press, just like the nuclear war. They said Oppenheimer was a saint because he thought, maybe we should have an international conference and just give the bomb to everybody. No, no, no, we're not going to do that. You can't trust the Ruskies. They're commies and they'll cheat. And the way to do it is have deterrence. We can trust ourselves because we are consensual. And that's how it should be. We should trust the United States that it will, you know, it will bring on all the tech lords and say, don't do that. And anytime gain of function research, did we do the right thing? Yes, we outlawed it. Did we say everybody has to outlaw it? We tried to, and who didn't outlaw it? The Chinese and Fauci. Even said, well, in the spirit of ecumenical, well, I'll let my instrumentation and I'll let my scientists go over to Wuhan and help them and I'll give them some money. How'd that work out? Million dead Americans. Don't trust these groups and don't trust the Democrats not to use these hysterias, these frenzies, these madness. And I'm not even getting into the other category, the Tawana Brawley category, the Duke lacrosse category. The Jussie Smollett category, the Covington kids category, the latest suicide by hanging category. The race car driver had the little rope on the garage door category. All of those were manias and they all had one thing in common. They were all cooked up by left-wing liberals and race hacks. And they were all lies. You've got a new book, Left Mania, Victor, coming out soon. They're all, I've been thinking about them. They all occur, fashion years, and they're all left-wing projects. All right, folks. So there you have it on AI. It's been a big topic this week. Let's turn to comments and we'll just do one. And this guy's asking for advice. Bruce Landisman says, because you're a historian, highly respected, I have a question I hope you will answer for me. What do you believe to be the probability of, a second holocaust in this current century from happening on American soil. Since Jews are being attacked and villainized by both sides of the political spectrum, do you think it's wise for Jewish Americans to be armed while purchasing firearms is still an option? Well, I believe everybody should be armed. I did read the Second Amendment, and I've read extensively about the drafting of the Second Amendment. And contrary to what the left says, it says, we shall not infringe on the right to bear arms a well, something established militia being essential. It almost says you should have a right to have arms, but because they put the militia in there, you get the impression they want your arms to be military grade because you could form a militia, right? Meaning that I think that the ultimate purpose is they wanted people that have guns that match the government's because, anyway, mine don't. I had a friend who came from Israel. I won't embarrass him. And he said, you're very controversial, Victor. Are you armed? And I kind of being, yes, I am. Well, what are you armed with? I said, well, we've had generations in this house. I have a 1896 pump shotgun. I have a 1876 double barrel. I have a 12 gauge. I have a 30, Yacht six with my dad's armor piercing B-29 practice. He bought it war surplus. Don't let onto all your arms in your house, Victor. Yes, and I have a flintlock. And how's that? And I have a automatic 22. He said, could I see them? So we went upstairs and he had fought in a number of wars. And he said, Victor, these aren't guns. These are antiques. Guy comes over your wall. He wouldn't know what to do. Where are your glocks? Where are your AR-15s? Now, come on. These are not guns. That was kind of funny, but I am very worried. I hope that, well, I know some Jews that would fit the definition that they would call themselves nerds. And I've been talking to them. I went to dinner about a year ago with them. I spoke at a group that was heavily Jewish. And you know, what the conversation around the room was, how, what late model AR-15 they own. They all own them. So they are arming. And the threat is more on the left than it is on the right. And what I mean by that is anti-Semitism or apostates, no Republican, put it this way, we're getting to the point where no Republican mainstream candidate can be an anti-Semite. If you don't believe me, ask what happened to Thomas Massey. He couldn't even get re-elected in his own home state as a congressman. And the first thing he said was Israel, my opponents in Israel. Marjorie Taylor Greene beat over the head that Epstein was Jewish and that was Jewish, Jewish, Jewish. And they all got, she couldn't even run because she knew she was going to. So anti-Semitism, Tucker, says he's going to run. He's not going to run. Anti-Semitism is a death knell. And the Democratic Party, Hassan Piker was right. No mainstream Democratic candidate, today's Socialist Islamist Party, can be for Israel. They all want to cut aid off. They all do. And they're anti-Semitic, that whole party is. Will the Republican Party go that way? I don't think so. I just saw a poll at the Nadir of popularity in Israel. 65% of Republicans support Israel. I don't know. I get a lot of criticism from people about my own support for Israel and Jewish Americans. But I just look at the whole thing empirically. I'm not a radical zealot on anything. I just say, this is the Jewish community. What have they contributed to American life, culture, wealth? And I can't even begin to describe it, what they've done. They excel in so many fields. And it's not just finance. It's everything. And they are one of the most law-abiding groups that we've had. And they have been victims of outbreaks of anti-Semitism. I was fooled by the latest one. I didn't think in this time. We would have it. But it was very weird. It started with the left. And it was part of the DEI project. So they couldn't be blamed. You know, when it's just the Benjamins, baby. That was Ilhan Omar, you know. It was all minorities and immigrants that started it. And they felt that they were exempt. So they kept going. And then the other people joined in on it. Like this crazy Mackle, what's his name? We didn't talk about him. Macklemore. Yeah. Macklemore. We did. We talked about him on Friday. Yeah, we did. Everybody who has a stadium who's Jewish. Owning a stadium like Robert Kraft is not a suicide pact. If you own a stadium and some guy comes in who's dressed up with a hook nose and a beard and claims that he thought it was Abraham Lincoln, don't let him in your stadium. You have a right to kick him out. He doesn't have a right to, you know, praise October 7th. So, yes, I'm a big supporter of the Jewish community and Israel. Macklemore. Yeah. And why don't we go ahead and leave for next Saturday the question of whether a Holocaust could happen in this century. So, because we're at a break. Macklemore. Well, the Holocaust was a government run thing. Macklemore. Yeah. Macklemore. If you said, if Mondami is president and he runs, if Al Saeed is vice president and Mondami's wife is mayor of New York and they have a useful idiot like Hochul as the governor, anything is possible. Macklemore. Yeah, I think so, too. Macklemore. But people would try to stop it. Macklemore. Yeah. Macklemore. I mean, if they had a little Holocaust detention center in Fresno, I would hope that I would try to stop it by any means I could. Macklemore. Yeah. All right, Victor. Macklemore. Although a 73-year-old cancer survivor with an 1896 shotgun is not going to be much help. Macklemore. All right. Thank you. Macklemore. I'll do my best. Macklemore.
