The 10 Biggest Values in 2026 Fantasy Drafts

The Ringer Fantasy Football Show hosts Danny Heifetz and Craig Horlbeck discuss the biggest fantasy football draft values for 2026, framing comparisons as "name brand vs. off-brand" players—those with similar production but vastly different draft costs. Key examples include Wandale Robinson as a cheaper alternative to Rashee Rice, noting nearly identical target and yardage stats but Robinson going eight rounds later. They also compare Kyren Williams to Omarion Hampton, arguing Williams offers a safe floor at a lower price despite a split backfield. Jalen McMillan is highlighted over Jaxon Smith-Njigba due to a better offensive line, play-calling, and two-receiver sets, with McMillan having been a top receiver before injury. Mike Evans is pitched as a value over AJ Brown, with similar career numbers but a later ADP. Quentin Johnston is compared to Brian Thomas Jr., both big-play threats, but Johnston is available 30 spots later. DJ Moore is seen as a bargain versus Zay Flowers, with similar roles and production. At tight end, Isaiah Likely is recommended over Harold Fannin Jr., offering top-target potential at a much later pick. The episode also includes listener emails, debating whether Sean Payton and Mike McCarthy are equivalent coaches, and humorous baby name suggestions for a family with children named Denver and Dallas. The hosts emphasize targeting these cheaper options to maximize roster value.

Welcome to the Ringer Fantasy football show, my name is Danny Hyves, and I'm joined by Danny Kaling-Cray Coral, but today we are going over the biggest values in fantasy dress in 2026. And honestly, we're going to do name brand off-brand because I feel like some players are like the premium brand and then some players are the name brand and honestly sometimes Cray gets like just as good. Yeah, for whatever reason, you know, sometimes the cheaper option is just as good as the regular option. And for those savvy shoppers out there, they know it. And that's what we're here to tell you today. We love a deal. Yeah, Dickey loves a deal. There's nothing better than getting a deal, man. Dickey's a dad. That's love good. That's love deals. That's part of our DNA. Everyone loves deals. All right, we're going to get into the biggest deals. The biggest values in drafts this year, but first we're going to take a quick break. This episode is presented by Verizon. Let me tell you all about Verizon's new simplicity plan. You get one plan, one price, just $30 a line per month, even for a single line. So while everyone is running four trade analyzers before offering a backup tight end, Verizon said one plan, one price. Sometimes the simplest move is the best one, like the simplicity plan head to Verizon.com today for new customers, $30 per line includes auto pay and switch discount. Additional taxes, fees and terms apply unlimited data is restricted to on-device smartphone usage, domestic data roaming at 2G's. Okay, we're getting into the biggest values in drafts this year. Dickey, right off the bat, who's the biggest value? All right, number one. And we're going to name brand off brand. So you need to apply a brand and a name branded off brand to the two players you're going to bring up. Well, we're going to kick out. We're kicking this thing off. I'm going to I'm about to do some acrobatics, some mental acrobatics. Guys, Cirque du Soleil, your favorite athletes. You're going to want yourself. This is like going to the circus. You're going to be I'm actually going to wow you with this comparison. All right, the name brand. I feel kind of stupid doing this. But anyway, name brand here is Rishi Rice of the Chiefs and the off brand is Wondell Robinson of the types. Rishi Rice is like, that's it, Owen Wilson. He's like, put it coming up and get hot. Let's just say Rishi Rice is high grade like 91 octane. Wow. Really good. Unleted gas in your sports car. Interesting choice. Rishi Rice analogy. I did that on purpose. Okay. And Wondell Robinson is like running your Volvo diesel on vegetable oil. All right. It's good for the environment. It's good for your soul. Does it work? I don't know seat oils. I think it kind of works. I had a friend in college put diesel in someone's gas tank without knowing it didn't work. I don't know what diesel is to be honest with you. I know it does it work in a Honda Civic. I don't know. It's a type of gun to my head and said, tell me what diesel is. I'd be like, I don't know. It's different. Yes. That's correct. Anyway, Wondell Robinson, you're not going to go zero to 60 in whatever the fast time for zero to 60 is. I don't know what that is. But basically, both are very actually similar style players as and look no offense for Rishi Rice low A dot PPR scams. Let's just call him what he is. I was looking at the EPA for targets for both Wondell Robinson and Rishi Rice. It's kind of crazy last year. Rishi Rice was 131st in EPA for target and Robinson was 138th in EPA for target. So these are basically just useless empty calorie touches. The big difference between the two of them and I could go through all the stats. The biggest difference is Rishi Rice scores more touchdowns. That's about it. Last year, I mean, he gets a little bit more volume, but like the targets per game were pretty similar. 9.8 to 8.8 for in favor of Rishi Rice. 6.6 catches to 5.8 catches. 71 yards to 63 yards. They're pretty similar. They both are about 10 and a half yards per touch. Wondell Robinson actually was getting targeted much further down the field shockingly. He was running back in college by the way. So basically, yeah, again, the big difference here is Rishi Rice is a huge part of the red zone package for the chiefs. But as we've seen year over year, touchdowns are pretty damn volatile. And if the chiefs like trying to give the ball to can't walk or a little bit more this year in the red zone or whatever, what have you, I think there's a chance that Wondell Robinson could turn out to be a very good value here. Again, he's just going to get over, he's going to get like 120 targets. I'm becoming a Wondell Robinson guy somehow, particularly in half PBR PBR. I probably want to ignore him in standard leaks. But yeah, man, I'm putting vegetable oil in my car and I'm going to get, you know, I'm going to be good to the earth on this one. Is this a thing vegetable oil in your car? I don't know. I've not done it. I think people do it. Really? It's like a natural. You can like make natural oil somehow synthetic. You're running cars on vegetable oil. What are we talking about? Buddy, we got to be ready for the apocalypse at any moment here, you know, I did see a, well, we don't have to get into that. I was going to talk about something I saw about a guy running his car in Cuba with beer, but that's neither here nor there. I know. It's a waste of beer. Just walk and drink it. But I will say, get a bite. I feel like we've talked a lot about guys that are better in real life than in fantasy. Like Romeo Dombs in the Patriots is like better in real life than in fantasy. Alpira when he's healthy, which he's not, is probably better in real life than fantasy. This is great because you're saying the truth, which is Rishi Rice and Wondell Robinson are way better in fantasy than real life. Like there actually is like a similarity there to like, yeah, turns out whenever it catches worth a point, then again, those guys are pretty goddamn valuable. 140 targets a year. I think what this touches on, one, I mean, the price difference between these two is probably the biggest of any comparison will make this entire episode. I took a big swing on this one. Rishi Rice is a second-rounder and Wondell Robinson is like 11th or 12th-rounder. Why receiver 46 in ADP right now? It also taps into, I think, Wondell Robinson. We mentioned the Titans on Wednesday with our five breakout offenses that nobody sees coming up episode. Wondell Robinson is not going to be somebody that the people in your draft are clamoring for. He's on the Titans now. I don't know if we actually mentioned that. He went with Brian Dable to Tennessee and they gave Wondell Robinson like $17 million a year. Yeah, the only thing here, DK, is Rishi Rice is the number one option on the chiefs when he's on the field. When they're in the red zone, they tailor plays to him. They're giving him weird endarounds and rushes and little shuffle passes and screens and slants and things like that. Wondell Robinson needs to score touchdowns for this to pay off, didn't he? Yes, and you think there's a shot that that happens this year. I think there's a shot. I mean, I looked at, so Rishi Rice gets more red zone touches on average than Wondell Robinson. That's been the case at least last year, but I looked at the end zone targets per game. They're actually identical in terms of end zone targets per game. So that means that means the ball is going into the end zone. I feel like if she writes get the ball on the VR line. Yeah, he's getting like handoffs, but I think that that is a part of Wondell Robinson's game. He's not as exposed as. I see Craig identified that. That blew my mind. But Craig's right. It's because you're saying that that's that doesn't count the one you're not catch at the one you're actually Rishi Rice is like catching balls on the two to then score, which doesn't count as an end zone target. But he used to do that little shuffle pass to the Kelsey, basically the the big app. And then now Rishi Rice just gets that. Rishi Rice is kind of the new Travis Kelsey for the chiefs. Do you think that? Do you think based on his health and his offseason though that he's going to continue to be that guy for them? And he will be the number one receiver in this offense. I think it'll be the highest targeted receiver in the offense. It's such a buzz. I mean, he literally spent 30 days in jail this summer and it was kind of a rehabbing his knee. Well, rehabbing his knee. I would love to know what they told him to do in jail to rehab his knee. I'm fascinated by that. It's like the Russell Wilson walking up and down the aisle. What was he doing? He's just doing quad stretches in jail. I don't know. I keep thinking about the greatest golf performance of this century, which was not Tiger Woods, but Scotty Sheffler coming in like top 10 at the PGA championship when they arrested him that morning. Scotty Sheffler always talks about like warming up in jail that morning and how weird that was. I just do wonder about Rishi Rice rehabbing his knee in his cell. I don't know what he was up to. But if you look back and you're like, yeah, I took him over Josh Allen and he rehabbed his knee in jail. You might feel pretty stupid. In my defensive Rishi Rice on the field only, I don't know why, but I've had him every year of his career on my fantasy team. It's just the way it's happened. Every time this dude plays, he is awesome. Like he produces Rishi Rice was the wide receiver. Rishi Rice was coming off a torn ACL last year, came halfway through the season and was just immediately the wide receiver five. He finished the season in points per game, the wide receiver five over 15 points per game. And so while he did get a clean up surgery and the rehab in prison in jail for 30 days is not great, part of me is like, Rishi Rice probably still just going to be awesome. That doesn't mean Wandao, but I'm kind of like, Rishi Rice probably still going to be really good. I think the GK's point though, this is not unlike some of these other ones. It's not an either or. Rishi Rice is like our top 25, players talking down the main brand. It's more hyping up the off brand. Yeah, exactly. Wandao Robinson's going eight rounds later. You can get both. And also you might not get Rishi Rice. And if you're like, wow, I wish I'd Rishi Rice, you'll get yourself a Wandao Robinson sub vegetable oil, which I looked up DK, I'm not going to lie. I kind of thought you were nuts. And I'm reading here that you can run a car in vegetable oil, but only if it is a diesel engine and it's modified for it, but it's possible. Don't. It seems like the problem is vegetable oil is closer to $10 a gallon, which I didn't track for me when I first thought of it. - Yeah, but it's better for the environment theoretically. Hey, guys, don't put vegetable oil in your car. - Okay. That's a good place to end up. - Unless you know how you're doing. - That's smart. - All right, next one here. So again, and Wanda Robinson is like our 110th, he's like a 10th-round pick. We're saying, I think we're all talking ourselves into him. - I mean, he might have the most volume of anybody outside the top 100. - Yeah. - Craig, who's your first name brand off brand? - I'm gonna go name brand, name brand O'Marion Hampton. They're running back for the chargers. Home in a compared to all, this is a really strained metaphor. It barely works to almond milk. And 'cause it's not really name brand off brand, but it kind of is for milk. But in the off brand, I'm gonna go with Kyron Williams, who I think is cow's milk. And I'll sprinkle in Deandre Swift as well. But basically, O'Marion Hampton is going 16th overall. Kyron Williams is going 30th. So kind of twice as far and deep into the draft. And Deandre Swift is going 56 overall. So it'll kind of double what Kyron Williams is. My point is that these are guys in elite offenses with workload concerns. And recently Mike Medangel just talked about the workload split for his running backs in LA. And basically was like, sorry, fantasy guys. I'm riding the hot hand. Hampton's good, Vidal's good, Mitchell's good. I see all three of these guys producing at a very high level. I have no idea which game it's gonna be. It's all dependent on what I want out of them and what the opponent asks us to do. And so I think Hampton probably has the most, I don't know, I guess upside because he's probably the most talented of these guys. But Kyron Williams. - Here's the first run. - Bigger running back. - Sure, Kyron Williams. And the reason why it's like, it's like almond milk is like, remember when almond milk was like the thing, you know, and it was like cow's milk's dead. It's over, move over cows, it's almonds. - So we got some of the Los Angeles. - We got a Seattle person talking a vegetable in cars and you're in Los Angeles talking about when cows milk was over. - Yeah, we're on the brand, all right. - And now Kyron Williams, I think, is regular milk, which is like, it's tried and drew. It's never gonna go away. And I once again think we are doing it again with Kyron Williams or nobody gives a shit about him despite the fact that every year he produces. And I know the Blake Corum thing. Kyron Williams is 25 years old. He had 1,400 yards last year and 15 touchdowns or in 13 touchdowns. He's averaging 15 touchdowns per season over his last three years. And he's never finished lower than RB 11 on the season. - I was gonna say, Craig, he to me is still just one of the guys you can count on as printing money and- - I'm just like, okay. - Even with Corum coming on. - I agree. I'm like, okay, Corum's gonna take 35% of whatever. I'm like, he did that for the second half of last year. Kyron Williams is still productive. It's maybe the best offense in football. He got 300 touches last year, Kyron Williams. And I'm like, if it ain't broken, the Rams are like the best team in the NFL. Maybe. Craig free. And if it ain't broken, I don't know why McVeigh is just gonna stop playing Kyron Williams. - We talk about how touchdowns are volatile year and year out. If you look at what happened last year, I think I saw this. Matt Stafford said an NFL record with 15 one yard touchdown passes. 15 one yard touchdown passes. - Kim Moore is over on the season. For all touchdown passes, it's like 17. - Unless I'm getting pumped on Twitter, I saw that stat. But it feels right because that was like, you basically every time they got inside the five yard line, they're just chucking it up to Devonte Adams. If they don't do that, say just marginally less, five or six more touchdowns available to the running backs, seven or eight more touchdowns available to the running backs, like Kyron could outplay what he did last year. - And he had 13 touchdowns last year and 300 touches. And I'm like, okay, it's like, I just, maybe he can't be the number one running back in fantasy in O'Marian Hampton could. Sure. Sometimes you can make a cake with almond milk and it's better than cow's milk. But most of the time it's not. You know, whatever, whatever in greedy words, like you could replace regular milk with almond milk. It's like, you can, but it's often times not as good. - It's just not the same. It's not the same. - Can I tweak this as someone who's lactose intolerant and this is my day to day life? - Yeah, sure. - I think that cow's milk is, is B. John Robinson and Junior Gibbs. It's what I want, but can no longer have. Okay, because I don't have one of the first two picks. - Okay, sure. - And I really wish that was the case. - I can't eat this. And like, I think like the cow's milk that they sell that has like the lactose stuff mixed in is like maybe the other first time running backs, but that's not available when I go to a coffee shop. I think Amarian Hampton is almond milk in that like he's, for all the reasons you said. It's expensive, but bad for the environment and when you learn a little more about it, you're like, this is fucked up. Amarian Hampton is a lot of water in the almonds. I didn't know there's all that water in the almonds. I didn't know there's gonna be a three man backfield when I took Amarian Hampton. And they make most of America's almonds in California. Where am I hinting Liz? - It's the three gallon backfield. That's the problem. - Yes. - Oh, no, that's pistachios. There's a crate. No, one day if anyone remembers, I'll tell you so you'll learn about pistachios in foreign aid, California. So it doesn't matter. But yeah, Amarian Hampton. - It's still rating. - A lot of water. - Yeah. - It's more interesting than you think. - Sintilating. But Kyron Williams to me is oat milk because it's like the other option and it's like the same, right? Oh, man, milk, oat milk doesn't take as much water, but the oat milk sucks and it's awful. And it's not as fun. And when I get it, I'm like, "Well, I get the oat milk, I'll get the Kyron Williams." And I'm serious about it because it's about the floor, but the ceiling isn't there. And I think that's the argument. It's like it's about whether you want ceiling or floor. Kyron Williams is like ranked where he is as top 40 player because you're like, "Well, I don't have a running back yet." And I got to take Kyron Williams and he's safe because he's the starting running about the Rams. The knock against Kyron Williams for this year, I think, is that he doesn't have necessarily huge upside to vastly outperform the slot you're gonna take Kyron Williams. Because Blake Corms gonna get 40% of the carries. Matt Stafford is gonna, Devanta Adams is basically the goddamn goal line back. And the problem Matt Stafford for a running back is Matt Stafford's just too busy ripping passes, right, DK? - Just loves ripping it. - Stafford's ripping-- - He didn't even look. He didn't even look downfield, he just rips it. - Stafford has-- - He's closing his eyes. - He didn't start on it. - Stafford. - Matt Stafford would literally rather throw a pass without looking than check the ball down. - Yeah. - And so there's no check downs, there's no receiving. - Yeah, he's not fucking checking it. - Well, you want to talk about no receiving. - You want to talk about no receiving. I mean, Kyron Williams at least catches 30 balls a year. Blake Corm has talked-- - What game? - Blake Corm caught eight passes last year. - Yeah, but it's not a big pie that you're working with. It's like one of those personal pies, you can't split it. And so my point being, the Kyron Williams being a league winner depends on Blake Corm getting hurt. And Kyron Williams getting the whole backfield. That's the only way that Kyron Williams can go back to a couple years ago. - Fair, fair, fair, fair. - But so my point is is that you can get him twice as late as you can on Marion Hampton. So you can take a different guy at the 15th overall pick that could be your league winner. And then still take Kyron Williams two rounds later who will get you the same stats on Marion Hampton probably will. - That is fair. But this leads me right to my next value, my favorite value. - Hi Fitz was doing that whole thing to set up his thing. - That's fair, I like it. Play both sides, so I just come out on top. But my arbitrage is Kyron Williams, again, Kyron Williams is oat milk. And you're like, oh, I'll get the milk. But if you upside case is, well, I need the other running back to get hurt and then it'll be a league winner. Remodeling Stevenson's black coffee, just be a man. Just stop getting oat milk. I'm gonna drink this espresso straight and I'm gonna sip it like an old Italian man enjoying his day, which is what I try to do now, which is I have to do the oat milk. And I know that sounds like a stupid analogy, but what I'm saying is Kyron Williams is like the 40th player. I know I keep talking about Remodeling Stevenson, he's going 75th. And I think that Remodeling Stevenson is a similar player where he's gonna get 60% of the backfield. Travian Henderson's gonna get 40%, but if Travian Henderson gets hurt, Remodeling Stevenson probably, to me, becomes like a potential league winning player. You could make the same argument about the Andre Swift for the Bears. We're saying happens to come on, okay, they're just cheaper than Kyron Williams. And I think that they all have the same mixture where they're a little cap, they need the other guy to get hurt and they'll be league winner, but they'll probably be safe and deliver. - But they're in good off. - I don't disagree with anything you're saying about Kyron Williams, Craig. I think fantasy still needs Myers-Briggs. - Well, if you combine the two things we're saying, I don't know who is what milk now, but it's basically like, you can go from a Mary in Hampton, who I think, then you can go to Kyron Williams, who's like an off brand of a Mary in Hampton. And then you can go down to Deandre Swift, who's an off brand of Kyron Williams. And then you can go down to Ramondra Stevenson, who's an off brand of Deandre Swift. It's like a four tiered list here of guys where it's like, good offenses, kind of splitting the workload and they're being overlooked. - By the way, I just looked up what's the weirdest type of milk? Platypus milk is apparently the weirdest type of milk. Is Ramondra Steven platypus milk? - No, Ramondra Steven, I'll tell you, Deandre Swift's an Americano, which is watered down black coffee. - And then Ramondra is just straight espresso. I like, I like, it's just bulldozing through. No, no, he's not platypus milk, he's an Americano. - Craig, by the way, if that was a normal sentence. - That's a good point. - Platypus, platypi, they did a platyp, what's the plural of that platypus? - What do you want it to be? - Platypus, what do you want it to be? - Do you know what I guess? - Platypus' don't have teats. Milk oozes out through specialized skin patches. Platypus' are the weirdest animals. - Well, can I add more? - What is a tea if not a specialized skin patch? - Fair enough, fair enough. Yeah. (laughing) - Who, what? - You gotta get your eyes on those warlocks. - Who's drinking platypus milk? - No, I don't think anyone's drinking. - Are you saying they can be milked? Like, I have nipples, Greg, can you milk me? Are you saying people drink it? (laughing) - Platypus milk. Oh, they do produce it without nipples. So it's just, what's up? Well, it's in there, it's on the rad of abdomen. It pools and grooves and fur for their young called puggles. That's kind of it. Puggles. You know that platypus, they're like, I almost did the multiple thing. Platyb whatever we're calling the plural is they also are iridescent. Look up there and under like blue light. They're iridescent. What the hell is going on with this animal? Look up the platypus blue light. Dude, they, I mean, they basically sweat milk. It's like a gatorade commercial, but it's milk. Remember got milk? Yeah. Maybe right. I think it is platypus. Yeah. Well, yeah, it was all we had. I never left. I never wavered. If we're speaking to which I want emails from some of our older listeners, I want to know when milkmen went away. I feel like our parents had milkmen and I want to know when that stopped. It's like blockbusters, but no one came, talked about it. I don't want to disparage those who are lactose intolerant. I totally get it dietary restrictions. I have my own. I got a weird esophagus thing, so I totally get it, but I do think there's, milk is tried and true. You know what I mean? Milk, milk, when you, when you're using milk, it's going to taste the best. I do have that feeling too, Craig. I'm like, when I eat something with oat milk, the color is just really like ice cream with oat milk. It's just not as good. It's like eating porridge or something. It feels like you're eating the food from the, the ship and the matrix or something. It's just like really gray color. I don't like it. I don't know. Okay. All right. Uncanny Valley for milk. Craig, who's your next value player for 2026? All right. I'm going to go for it on this one. Jackson Smith and Jigba is going to be my name brand and I'm going to compare him to Los Angeles. Okay. Okay. My off brand is going to be a mecca, Bucca. Who? Why didn't you San Diego? Oh, hell yeah. And it's like, it's, it's kind of the same thing, but like, maybe you don't have to spend as much and there's less people on the beach and it's the same weather. And that's kind of my situation where it's like, yeah, Jackson Smith and Jigba, the best. You're going to have to pick him fifth overall in your draft. It's going to be a pretty penny. You'll still enjoy it and it'll be great. But a mecca, Bucca is going 40th overall, 35 spots past JSN. And if you kind of look at the two of them, look, obviously this is about when you can get them, JSN's still probably going to have a better season than a Bucca. But you could argue that the situation around a Bucca is just straight up better than JSN's. I mean, JSN lost their elite play collar, Clint Kubex gone. And they lost an elite running back. A lot of the Seahawks game was around their running game, building to the passing game and helping the passing game. And so the offense could regret, like there are legit question marks I would say about the Seahawks offense. And with a Bucca, you could argue they have a better play collar, they have a better offensive line. You could argue they have a better quarterback. And maybe they'll have similar, similar volume. If you look at what a Bucca did last year before he got hurt in week six, weeks one through five, he was the wide receiver three and points per game, putting up 18 points per game, more than Jackson Smith and Jigbaugh. And those games Mike Evans played three of those five games when a Bucca was going nuts. And now that they have a new offensive play collar, Zach Robinson, who came from Atlanta and before that, he was in LA. He was the offensive passing game coordinator when they had Cooper Cup and he basically said that a Bucca is going to play the Z role, which is what Cooper Cup played when he was going off on the ramps. And they're going to run more two-hour receiver sets in Tampa and everything we've learned from a fantasy data standpoint is that two-hour receiver sets is really what you want to focus on. It's kind of like a skeleton key to unlocking more fantasy points is when there's only two-hour receivers in the field. The odds that the ball is going to your guys is just much higher and they're just going to be a heavier target chair to Bucca. And so Mike Evans obviously is gone now. So this seems kind of obvious to me. He's probably like my single favorite wide receiver to take in the draft. And I think there's like a, it's very possible that next year Bucca is like taking 12th overall like he's CD-Lam. You get him on an extra discount now because he got hurt. He sure is toe yesterday in practice. Everyone I mentioned gets hurt. Yeah. I got to tell you, we got to know which toe. I hate, at this point now they need to tell me which toe because that doesn't sound good. If it's turf toe, I'm out. We'll just cut this whole segment because turf toe is the worst. Turf toe, which I'm glad it's in the rebranding. We're going to rebrand turf toe to it. We're going to call it foot sprain minor toe injuries, whether calling it toe tear. I think a minor toe injury probably means it's not turf toe. I, I think you're dead right. Decay, I'm curious what you think. I think this is on the money. I am still a huge believer that like the mecha Bucca was four weeks in. Everyone's like, oh my god, that was the single most important pick you could make in fantasy along with Tyler Warren. Kind of tailed off a little and obviously Dana Jones got hurt. A Bucca just, I still think he played through a quad injury and he didn't want to sit through it because so many other people on the offense were hurt and there was a feeling that they needed, you know, it was all hands on deck. And I think a Bucca didn't want it just be sitting because I was like, Baker was incredibly hurt as well. Baker was hurt. Both the tackles were hurt. The Bucca was just dropping like flies and he played through it. And like again, I always talk about Mark Cooper, but sometimes you play through injured. People get mad at you because you're not playing well, but it's like, well, you're trying to be on the field. So I think this is a great call. There's Dekia. There's some similarities with them in terms of their college careers too in the sense that they were more used in the slot in college and complimentary pieces in their college offensive. Highest state. Yeah. At Ohio State. Bucca has the most receiving yards in the history of Ohio State. Right. Right. And that's, and think about like the guys he played with obviously he played longer there, which is like it was a big deal, but yeah, I do think he is, he's just a pro receiver he was ready pro ready when he came into the league, like good route running, really strong hands, run after the catch, strong at the catch point, just like a big strong dude who can like play all three positions. I think he got missed cast a little bit last year played. I think 70% on the outside last year. So I love the idea of moving him a book. Yeah. I like the idea of them moving him around, getting him off the line a little bit because I don't think necessarily his skillset is super elite, beat press and win one-on-one type situations, but he can be a really high volume pass catcher when he's given an opportunity to move around and go in motion and be off the line and play in the slot a little bit more. If they make him the focal point of soft, I mean we saw with Zach Robinson, this is maybe a stretch, but like Trick London had a massive target rate as the kind of the focal point in that offense last year. I have that here as well. Drake London last year under Zach Robinson again, who is now the play caller for Tampa, who was in Atlanta last year, through 11 weeks last year before Drake London got hurt. He was the third best wide receiver in fantasy. Yeah. So I like this a lot. If he's healthy, obviously that's the big question right now, but he is also one of my main targets. I think this here in drafts just because I believe in the talent, I think if they get both their tackles back, they stay healthy, they can start pushing them all down the field a little bit more. Baker can get back to ripping the passes that he wants to be ripping and it just all works together. Broken last year, one final note to I'll leave you guys on about Ibuka is this came from Ryan Heath at fantasy points. The list of wide receivers who had the most PPR fantasy points over a wide receivers first five games since the 1990s. This is first five games of your career. How many fantasy points did you score since the 90s? Puka Nuku is number one, Randy Moss is number two, Ibuka's number three. Yeah. That's pretty good. I like that. I like that. So would you take him in the third round or I think I would take him in the third. San Diego, baby. San Diego's lovely. Check it out if you haven't been the best place in America. DK who's your next value player for 2026? All right. Hi, Fitz. I know that you're a big AJ Brown guy. I'm going to do AJ Brown as my name brand player obviously he's very famous, very big name. My off brand player, not less famous necessarily, but Mike Evans for the 49ers, quite a bit cheaper. So AJ Brown right now is Y receiver eight, credit to ADP 23rd overall. Mike Evans is the Y receiver 27, 60 second overall, basically both are possibly over the Hill receivers with terrible hammies and maybe bad backs, but playing in very good offenses. Do you guys, this might be, this might completely go over your head because you might be not be old enough. But do you remember the sunny to like commercials back in the day where it was like the kids would open the fridge and be like, what do we got here? Sunny D? I don't know. We got OJ, some purple stuff, oh, sunny D and then they'd get the sunny D and chug it. Well, you know what? Mike Evans is OJ and purple stuff. He's, it's going to keep you hydrated. It still tastes good. It's still, you know what I mean? It's something to stop. You don't need sunny D. You don't need the name brand shit. Just drink some OJ. Okay. First of all, I thought you know sunny D stood for anything? I know. I didn't know. It was sunny delight. Which I had a nice name saying sunny delight is like saying Chevrolet instead of Chevy. No, they should bring it back like Miller brought back those old cans. It was way better with the white cans. Give me a Budweiser, please. A Budweiser light. Um, yeah, sunny delight. Isn't that what it is? I don't know. Do you guys remember tang? Did you ever have tang? I never had tang. I remember sunny D. I didn't have tang. I feel like there's like astronaut liquid from the 80s. That tang is just a powder that you put water in. Uh, oh, wow, sunny delight is actually now officially branded sunny D. Oh, okay. They still make it show and show in your ears. I think it's a just super sugary orange juice basically, um, oh, it's actually not considered orange. Orange juice. Orange flavored citrus punch. There's. There's a. The most American thing of all time. It's like craft singles. It's like orange cheese like squares. Don't say it's cheese. Not cheese. Not cheese. Craig. It's like dove soap. I need to stress that it's. It's not cheese, you can't use cheese. - You know those dove bars? - Yeah, not soap. - If anyone here listening has a dove bar, go look in one of those packages to see if you can find the word soap. - It's like a bar, a cleaning bar. - Yeah, no so. - All right, let me throw this back up. - Sorry, I'll take you real quick. Get back to this Mike Evans versus AJ Brown thing. Obviously, health is paramount here. I can't predict what's gonna happen with the 49ers. Even though the substation thing may or not be real, may or may not be real. Point it out very smartly that maybe the reason why the nineers are leaving early to get to Australia is to get the fuck out of this one. (laughing) - They're regulating their electromagnetry. - I know he talked a lot. I would like to go to the record everyone's like, are the electromagnetic rays hurting the football players? It's probably the football. - Right, probably the super violent sport they're playing. Anyway, going back three years, 'cause obviously Mike Evans had a down year last year. He broke his collarbone. I think he had a really bad hamstring injury, so it was just kind of all over the place. But if you go back three seasons, PPR, sorry, half PPR points per game, almost identical, AJ Brown and Mike Evans. Targets per game, Brown has a slight edge, receptions per game, Brown has a slight edge. Touchdowns, Mike Evans, 27, AJ Brown, 21. Yards per touch, almost exactly the same 14 years per touch. Red zone targets, almost exactly the same and end zone targets, Mike Evans is 45 to Brown's 31. So he hasn't beat there. But I mean, Brown's more kind of run after the catch guy anyway, so that's fine. But I do think there's stylistically, they're both gonna be beat their guy, get over the top, number one target in the offense, high volume, very probably. And I think they're both very good players. And I'm just worried about both from a health point of view, so I might take the cheaper guy here. Evans is white receiver 27. You can get him in the 60 second overall pick. So I don't know, I do still like AJ Brown. I'm still confident that he's gonna have a good year, but like it is a risky pick early that that early, when you're taking him in the second or early third round. - I mean, look, Mike Evans, there's like a very realistic shot. He leads the league in touchdowns. - Yeah. - And that he's Devon Tatum's put on the Niners this year. And Ricky Pierce saws out for the year, George Kiddell recovering from a Achilles terror. Looks great though. And then you have a rookie into John Stribling. So if Mike Evans is on the field, and the Niners are in the red zone, he will be scoring, like I feel very confident. He will get double the touchdowns if he's on the field. - I mean, the entire, everything with Mike Evans is just will he play? But if he plays, I don't think people have a ton of arguments for him not having an incredible role on this team. And I know I said he was 34 the other day, kind of being derogatory, but he is 32. And he's, I don't know what his biological age is. I know. But I know, again, Mike Evans and Kyle Shannon, like that is probably gonna work. I mean, we'll see what happens with Kyle Shannon this year. - That's what he's coaching this weekend. - I think she's gonna be fine. I think it's the most important preseason coaching performance of all time, like unbelievable. We'll see what happens with Shannon. Obviously, I feel like that at this point is the biggest variable with the whole team. It's just how I see. And again, I don't mean to like belittle, I've just taken the cracks and it's seriously, like the symptoms he described are really serious. And again, you have to make a play call. You have five seconds in the play clock to decide the play. It's a lot. Okay. Deke, I like that one. And I don't take it too personally. It's the AJ Brown. I know I'm the big AJ Brown person this year, but I acknowledge that his knees aren't ceremonial grade, as Craig would say. (laughing) My thing, I had one that was kind of alluding to AJ Brown, not really about AJ Brown, but I, okay. I think a couple of years ago, I felt the name brand off brand thing. I felt like AJ Brown was like Reese's Cups. Like this just, probably well, for me, perfect. And I feel like a couple of years ago, like 2024 watching Nico Collins, it was like the first time I had a Reese's pumpkin. And I was like, this is what's a Reese's pumpkin? Is it just a Reese's Cups shaped like a pumpkin? The specialty shapes that Reese's does, you know, there's like more peanut. More peanut filling. Is it different, is it a different ratio or ingredients? Or is it just different shape? Different ratio of chocolate to peanut butter, and I think the shell is thicker, but also there's more peanut butter somehow. So the Easter eggs and the pumpkin stuff. It's incredible. Yeah, it's like the Oreo before and after the double stuff. It's like you can't go back. And the Reese's shapes were so much better. But that's how I felt watching Nico Collins a couple of years ago. I'm like, this is just better AJ Brown. And it was kind of blew my mind. Now I would say that if Nico Collins is still the Reese's pumpkins or the Reese's eggs, I think Jaden Higgins on the Texans is now the Trader Joe's peanut butter cups. Okay, yeah, those are good. Yeah, they're amazing. It's like a little different. They're not. They're slightly healthier. I wouldn't say they're a dark chocolate. Peanut butter might be like more natural peanut butter, but they're pretty good. I only want to fit in front of me. I have to know. Well, when I'm in the supermarket, I can look at the races. I don't buy it anymore because I just can't do that. But when I'm at Trader Joe's, if I'm walking by this peanut butter cups, I have to like look down. I walk by and I just like the flesh is weak. I just want to just grab that box. I just buy three of them. But my point being, I actually think there is a small chance that within like two years Jaden Higgins is just as good if not better than Eco Collins. And he has the number two receiver on the Texans. He is, and I mean this maybe like the single most slept on talent to fame ratio in the entire NFL at any position. Jaden Higgins has a chance to be like closer to the T Higgins range of who's the best number two receiver in the NFL. Like how long will T Higgins have that? I think Jaden Higgins will sooner than later be like the best number two receiver in the NFL. He is currently going outside the top 10 rounds. Jaden Higgins is like the 125th player in fantasy football this year. You can get Jaden Higgins around 11, probably around 12. Nobody even knows who he is. He was the first pick of the second round last year. He is, he is six foot four. He's NFL speed. He is NFL size most importantly. His NFL athleticism, but really his thing is, this skill set, the technique is all there. And so I think Jaden Higgins has like the ability, he can get off press. He's not like a big slow lumbering six foot four guy. He is able to win at the catch point. He has all these tools. And I think that the only reason Jaden Higgins has buried is like, oh, Tank Del's back. Jaden, those guys are going to rotate it in the slot. Jaden Higgins is going to play in two and three of your service sets. And I think he's the most mispriced receiver maybe in all football right now. He should be going like, I think three rounds earlier. And I don't know, I am amazed by him. I like this. I do agree with you. He's very, he's fine under the radar. He's been a superstar at camp according to the reports that I've seen. Like he's been really good at. Dude, not even just according to Niko Collins himself. Niko Collins is basically like, this guy could be the next face of the league. Like the way I, the way he's preparing, like his body, his ability, he's like-- He's a team, but it's weird because he's on the team. He's just being nice. He did finish. He tied for the team high and touchdown catches with six last year with Niko Collins. He was pretty good. Yeah, he was quietly 41 catches, 525 yards, and six touchdowns. I mean, obviously in that offense, if they play the way they played last year, it's going to be hard for Jaden Higgins. To be like a star in fantasy. But I think kind of what we're talking about on the last show, if the Texans can even make it a marginal improvement on the offensive line, gives throughout a little bit more time. They can get back to pushing them all down to feel a little bit more, making those explosive plays. I think Higgins has a chance to really kind of go off and be a good value. Yeah, and the two receiver set thing, I think is a really important thing here. He's not going to be rotating like we're seeing with Jalen Null. And with Tink Dell, if he comes back, I think Tink Dell does play outside, but I'm guessing they probably won't put too much on his play right away. Tink Dell can, but he's coming back from one of the worst leg injuries in years. He's not going to just come. It's kind of like Jonathan Brooks and Carolina to me, which is a great story. Jonathan Brooks was a great story coming to Texas. He tore his ACL and then came back and retore the ACL. And now it's like, oh, maybe he'll be the lead back for Carolina. I'm like, the guy who's played three games in two years after tearing his ACL in college, he's probably not going to get like some massive workload. I feel the same way about Tink Dell. Like he's going to play a little and that's a massive accomplishment to play a little. I will say Tuba Hubbard did hurt his hamstring today, and he is weak to weak, according to the team. I get that. I think the mistakes some people make are thinking that it's maddened and that, well, you can just the guys healthy and just play him. Like I would argue it would be irresponsible for them to just give him like 80% of touches. Treyjana is coming off. I think Tink Dell's a good example. Yeah. But I do like this one. Jane Higgins, big, rangey tall. He's good at the catch point. Probably going to score a bunch of touchdowns this year. Or if they, again, if their offense kind of takes a little bit of a jump. So I like this. Hi, Vets. Do you think right now we have Nico Collins as the ninth wide receiver on our board? Do you think that the ascension of Jaden Higgins would hurt Nico Collins? Or do you see it as a T Higgins Jermard Chase situation? I, it's not T Higgins Jermard Chase because the Texans have an amazing defense and the biggles have a terrible one. So the Texans are probably going to try to play defense run the ball. And, you know, I, I, Nico, I still like. But I, I don't know if I need to move from that down the receiver rankings, but I want the running backs ahead of him. My thing with Nico is not that I just look at him. I like the Texans offense better than like Drake London and the other receivers. But the players I prefer over Nico is in the second round. I would rather have on me and hand it on the chargers. I'd rather have Kenneth Walker on the chiefs. I'd rather change Brown on the Bengals. I'd rather have Brock Bowers on the Raiders. Because at that point, I'd rather have a tight end. Because I think Bowers is a shot to just beat Nico's numbers straight up this season. That's possible to me. So I think that that's really where I docked Nico is that if he fell to me, really late in the second round, but I'm not like trying to get Nico. Whereas I, that's why I love Jaden Higgins. I'm like, I kind of want to get them 10 rounds later and see if Jaden Higgins. I'm not saying he's definitely going to be T Higgins. But I'm like, it's, it's a, most receivers that are as talented as Jaden Higgins. with the hype he's getting that went the first pick this second round, just have way more hype than Jade Higgins is getting. Like, almost always they have way more hype. He's, it's like people just forgot about him. - I agree, I think this is really smart. I like it a lot. - Any, who is, do you guys have any, who are your other name brand off brands? - So, my last one is gonna be, my name brand is gonna be Brian Thomas who I'm gonna compare to Snickers. And then he's going 70th overall in drafts. 30 spots later, it's Quentin Johnson for the Chargers. Who I'm gonna compare to Baby Ruth? - Ooh. - Snickers and Baby Ruth have the exact same four ingredients. (laughing) It's just true. - Is that true? - It's peanuts, caramel, nougat and chocolate. That's it. (laughing) Ratio's are a little different, brand new is different. It's the same goddamn four ingredients. Snickers just crushed it on the ratio and on the marketing, honestly. And it just looks more appetizing. It's big Vainey, a big phallic Vainey Snickers bar. It is, if that looks appealing to you, then sure. - I just think it's funny that the Snickers is like by far the most realistic Vainey phallic bar that you can get. Just the giant Vain running down the top of it. - And it's deliberate, you know? They're doing it on purpose. That's for you, DK. - That's the brand new. - Just a triumphant Vainey bastard, yeah. - Anyway, I guess I'm turning back on the tracks here. So who's the triumphant Vainey bastard in this? - Well, I guess on its surface, it's Brian Thomas, but I guess I'm making the case that it could be Quentin Johnston. These are two guys with like elite MVP, caliber quarterbacks that are in what could be elite, like high octane offenses. They're both like big play guys, run out to the catch guys. Mike McDaniel, the new coordinator in LA, has been very complimentary of Quentin Johnston. He's made some ridiculous comparisons to great players, but it seems like he's having a good off season. And Quentin Johnston is a very interesting guy because like he was a first round pick. He came into the league and we almost thought he was gonna be just not out of the league, but like a complete bust as a first round pick. And every year he's gotten better and better and better. And he said real stretches over the last two seasons where he has been legitimately relevant in fantasy. Last year, he had three games where he was kind of hampered with a hamstring thing. If you remove those three games, he was the wide receiver 19 overall. This year he's going as the wide receiver 41. And now you have Mike McDaniel, who I don't have to remind people like the 20, what he's able to do with the Dolphins, they led the league in yards per game. They were second in points per game, two led the league in passing yards in 2023. Now he is just in Herbert. I think Quentin Johnston is gonna be the number two guy. And if they're running more to outer receiver sets, Quentin Johnston is going to be on the field. I think there's a chance he scores the most touchdowns for the chargers this year. He, Lad McConkey has never had more touchdowns than Quentin Johnston has in any season. And if I wanted to be really bold, I would say Quentin Johnston's gonna just straight up out score Lad McConkey, I won't go too far. But I do think that Brian Thomas, because of what he did his rookie season, I still has a lot of, like he's like the classic Bilo candidate this year. And Quentin Johnston, I just think people don't really think about him. I think he still has the stink of the first few seasons. And it's baby Ruth. Just like, no one's thinking about baby Ruth. They might taste the same. I can't remember the last time I ate a baby Ruth. Me neither, yeah. I feel like baby Ruth was the first thing to trade it away on Halloween. For sure. Yeah. That and the smarties in the little thumbs never gonna. I don't even know why it's, is it? Baby Ruth is too much new get. I think the chocolate magnate, the chocolate tycoons had a kid named Ruth. And it was like her favorite. And they just, they never changed it. 'Cause in my head, it was associated with the baseball player. But I believe in that. No, that's to do with that. Now, 100% was, this is me making something up. Yeah, 100% was named after baby Ruth. But they changed it to baby because they didn't want to get sued. Oh, I think, I don't know. Oh, okay. I just looked it up. I feel like I'm already talking about this. Why'd spread historical beliefs suggests that the Curtis candy company used the baby Ruth Cleveland. They used her name as a clever excuse to cash in on the immense fame of baby Ruth. Yeah. Wait, they plot the whole of my ability. Grover Cleveland's daughter as a legal shield. Correct. 'Cause she had died 17 years earlier before they launched the candy. And they were like, no, it's them that they heard about baby Ruth. It's kind of dark. Yeah, well, that's not great. Savvy, though. Yes. Right. Oh, so baby Ruth tried to market his own Ruth's home run candy bar. And they sued baby Ruth for trademark infringement. Oh, they sued baby Ruth. He's like, two could play this game. That's crazy. They went on offense. I kind of like it. I do it, Craig. I really like this because I am slowly and surely becoming pro several players that I was very anti last year and Wanda Robinson and Quentin Johnston. I think Johnston might be one of the better values in drafts period just based on the uncertainty of how the receiver core is going to get split up in a offense. And we think it's going to be pretty good with the charges. Obviously, if her work can be protected by these tackles coming back and they can really run a more coherent offense, it's got a flamethrower for an arm. I just think there's a ton of upside with these guys. Quentin Johnston, if you go back to the draft, obviously, the hands were an issue and that's shown up in the NFL. It's been a big deal. But the reason people were so excited about him is he is he's six to two 10 and he can run like the wind blows. I mean, he is very fast, explosive. He's basically like Brian Thomas. I mean, he has that big playability in a big frame. And I think in a offense with Mike Montana where they kind of get guys in space and design ways to get them running and kind of catching the ball while they're on the move. I think that could be huge. So I really like this. I think he's just going way, way too far apart from Lad McConkey based on kind of like where they finished last year. Also, you want to talk about drops, Brian Thomas. Twice as many drops as Quentin Johnston last year. Yeah, Brian Thomas was just in his head last year. Yeah, for my own purposes. I think Craig, you could go step further and do the Lad McConkey Quentin Johnston one if you really want, because I agree that you're saying. Quentin Johnston skill sets perfect for Mike McDaniel. Like all the pre snap motion, which Mike McDaniel does more than anyone, like he's perfect for that. Just getting guys the novel idea that Mike McDaniel took 100 years to implement, which was what if we just had guys running full speed on every play right with the ball of staff? What was the shark? Was it shark motion? What were they calling it? I think it's called Canadian football, which I think is where he got the idea from. Which is completely there. I think when you guys-- Yeah, they were calling it shark motion. I agree with that. Be sure. I was like, wait, did I make that up? I think when you guys are out here in LA in a couple of weeks, we should try Snickers and Baby Roots together on air. And I think our listeners, please email us. If you think there's stuff, food that's easy to buy that's like packaged, that you think there's a clear name brand off brand of, let us know and we'll buy it and try it. Like if you have your own-- I have to show a brand on this show. I can just toss this up, right? I have-- No, I have something that I got in that-- It's not an ad. It's not an ad. I should bring it to a lay. I shouldn't show it now, though. I'm going to bring it. I'm not going to show it. But if you have your own baby Ruth Snickers, let us know and we'll see if we can do it. I'm going to show it because you're not here. And then I'm going to show you what I'm going to bring you. And then you can taste it in person. Look what I found. These are matcha Oreos. Oh my God. From the-- they are Chinese matcha Oreos. They're not Japanese? They-- it says China on them, so I kind of just assumed. Very kind of you excited to try them. However, I will say, I think matcha flavored things tend to suck. And I only like matcha in like a matcha tea. No, I didn't want to get it-- No, it's fine. I'm not going to-- He likes to drink his dirt. Oh, I was-- he doesn't like to eat his dirt. I don't like dirt processed, I like it regular. Yeah, coffee's not dirt. He takes his dirt totally different. Yeah. Leaves versus beans. I like my dirt with ice in it, not in a cookie. Yeah, black coffee tastes great. Yeah, that's true. I do like black coffee. I actually don't mind it. I like bean juice. I'm like, black bean juice. What do we do? We do some weird shit as humans. Coffee is crazy. But I think playing just also weird, by the way. So I have a-- Tea is-- don't give me-- The whole, like, what's his name? Jason Sadek is a show. What's his name? Fuck it. The whole Ted Lasso bit about tea is actually pretty good. Just spits it out every time he drinks it. It's so good. So can I give you-- I think it's a very similar player to Quentin Johnson, as my last value guy. The same way that Quentin Johnson is low ranked, because I think people are mad at him and kind of disgusted that they may have ever propped him up as a sleeper. And now people are like a little embarrassed and so they don't want to push him forward. I think that DJ Moore is a huge value this year for the same reason. I like that. Yeah, that makes sense, because I kind of do feel that way. I'm like, the way that he was kind of-- Just the body language. Everybody hated the second round. Pick trade and it's stupid. Yeah. Can't spill value without you. And it's like you. And DJ Moore, again, people are just mad at him. Craig hates every time I make that joke. Craig hates that one. I've been making a couple of dad jokes lately, so I'll let it. Yeah. So I think-- so I look at Zay Flowers this year for the Ravens. It's like a top 35-- he's ranked 30 on some platforms. I think Zay Flowers is like Zer Tech. And then DJ Moore is the store brand that just says allergy relief. But if you look at the bottles, it's the same thing. Same act of ingredient. It's the same ingredient. There's literally no difference. because if you look. say flowers like DJ Morris going three rounds later like safe flowers is like a third-round pick and DJ Morris like almost six-round pick but I these are they're kind of shockingly similar overall statistical profiles bills and Ravens kind of the same team for a while now yeah vibes wise yeah in a lot of ways yeah same teams I mean mobile quarterback who's one MVP's and can't get it done in the playoffs dominates in the regular season Ravens bills rely heavily the rushing it to element of their quarterback makes the rushing game easier James cook let the NFL and rushing arts last year for Buffalo second was Derek Henry for the Ravens like these are James Cook and Derek Henry standing next to each other would be funny we got to get that it's like the new Derek yeah it's like Derek Henry and Mark came to me and cook but I think what's the other part of the bills and Ravens that are similar is they have a weird number one receiver behind a bunch of guys who are pretty mad right it's like Zay flowers and a bunch of weird guy and then DJ more and so the whole thing was a flowers of why he's ranked so high is that he had like triple the catches of any of the Ravens receiver last year that he's like dominates this this receiving game in Baltimore they gave him this big contract extension and it's basically like okay if they get a little lucky with touchdown say flowers tackled a lot near the goal line last year and just in his career famously the FC championship game and if he can score a little more he's probably going to dominate the target chair and Lamar was hurt last year and if Lamar is healthier Zay flowers could dominate and I'm like I just feel like the same thing could happen with DJ more like very easily and there was can I read you one stat that really caught my eye so Zay flower the FTN Almanac had this Zay flower has got 62% of all the receiving yards by Ravens receivers last year 62% of all the yards were receivers all the wide receivers yeah so Titans don't count but still 62% among your receiving group is the third largest mark in a decade the only players who got more than 62% of the yards for wide receivers in a team are Michael Thomas 2019 the year you got the capture boy yeah and DJ more for the bears three years ago really yes interesting and I'm like this guy the bills and I know that wasn't the years with Joe Brady but Joe Brady was in Caroline is the coordinator and DJ Moore is there DJ Moore is the head coach of the bills DJ Moore got a huge contract to go back to the bills like a weirdly large extension like just the contract a structure of his his agent knew that Joe Brady who is the head coach of the bills now needs DJ Moore they need him he wants to work with him the head coach is obsessed with having DJ Moore play the main receiver in this offense and I just think that people are sick of him but he's gonna he's another player is just way better fantasy than real life and he's gonna dominate probably fantasy wise I totally agree with this the bills have been in need of a number one wide receiver since Stefan Diggs left and maybe DJ Moore is not as good as prime Stefan Diggs I'm not gonna argue that but he's good enough I think and he's 29 years old the whole motto this year he's good enough I'll say the second is trade happened I was like this is gonna work and no one no one's probably gonna give a shit about this but I think it's probably gonna work if you look at the rest of the receivers I mean this is just a kind of a mess I do like Khalil Shakir and yeah I think he is a good player he's mainly the slot guy compliment yeah and then Keon Coleman has been a mess obviously during times last year he was on the inactive list for I like I don't even know what was happening it was like missing practice or not working hard enough for whatever it was you got Josh Palmer who we liked a while ago but he has not really kind of just panned out you never know he is a role player sure and then the downless McCall Hardman's on this team Dante Pettis is on this team's Ricky Skyler Bell he was a fourth round rookie somewhat named Stephen Gosnell Oh my god Stefan Gosnell the God didn't we stuff in a garbage can one time yeah the God's was let's all guess where the God's went to college oh God Dartmouth or cuz I'm gonna go with um North Dakota State Virginia Tech he is a white guy for for what it's worth okay um trench her fields on this team I don't this for this receiver core is a mess max Tomzak jacory Macklin Mac Delayna Quentin Skinner Tyrell Shavers haven't heard of half of these guys Tyrell Shavers Aztec he tourism seal oh is he okay San Diego State he was popping us your little bit I know he actually did look pretty good um but anyways the point is I do agree to I think DJ Moore is gonna get a massive target rate in his offense is a good one still good enough he's good enough all right and and like no one's gonna be excited to take like he's not gonna rise up draft boards this is there a world where that the players in every round that you kind of just have been really mad at at some point is the best possible team like it's like the receivers are like Jalen Waddle and uh DJ Moore Quentin Johnson and Kyle Pitts is the tight end it really is the like water into the bridge draft it's like hey you got you got to get over it you know what I mean that's in the past move on you got to get over it that's a good that's a good like category but you got to get over it guys yeah that was years that was like eight years ago asshole have people don't forget yeah Quentin Johnson was bad like eight years ago okay you got to get over it guys might have to do that then you got to get uh that's funny uh okay any any other just a huge value player this year quickly just comparing to guys here Harold Fanon for the Browns is the tight end 60s going 67th overall and then Isaiah likely for the Giants tight end 12 104 overall so pretty significant drop off from from a fan into likely maybe is Fanon like an American apparel t-shirt and then Isaiah likely's like gildin or jerseys or something yeah you know you can get two for aildin's good comfort colors yeah comfort colors is kind of like the name brand here um I probably I never would have heard anyone say gilded out loud but I do it guilty what you oh really aren't yeah I have some gildin t-shirts they're not bad I do too I think I'm a comfort colors guy personally yeah I like comfort colors um anyway look they're both bad so they're both exciting move tight ends on bad teams or teams that we think are probably gonna be bad sorry I have it um and I think the big no offense taken the big question with both of them and and really the only question with both of them is how much are they gonna play you know I think Harold Fanon last year if you look at all of Seth Fanon far out produced likely last year I think there's a reason he's ranked higher he said the Browns rookie catch record last year right in Fanon I I don't have anything against Fanon necessarily but I think you get kind of a similar profile much later and likely where if likely plays 75% of the snaps obviously that's a big jump from what he's done in the past I think he could be a top six side end pretty easily I think he's got that talent he's got he's good enough he's not got a ton of target um competition in the Giants offense is basically neighbors who and we don't know the full health of neighbors and then him I think he's like likely he's probably gonna be the number two target getter in the team hi this is there anyone else that could be kind of the dark horse for that no I think there's a chance decay that this is the best advice in the entire episode because it's a team two you don't have to spend a lot on likely right to your first of all you're dead on about the profile of Harold Fanon I say likely they're both receivers playing tight end right kind of like how they're both like six three six four they're wide receivers that are so athletic that they actually can do whatever and says about tight ends which is beat all kinds of coverage players but to your point if Malik neighbors has any kind of setback at any point which again we've been talking a lot about whether Malik neighbors will be healthy for week one well there's 18 weeks he can get injured and so I say like if Malik neighbors has any kind of setback I say likely has a very very strong chance to just lead the Giants in catches yards or touchdowns in any given week which is not something you can really say about any of the tight ends after a certain point like you just don't feel that that's true and I think that I say likely has by far of all the tight ends that are like your fringe starter or you can even get us a backup really for I say likely by far the easiest chance to just straight up being the number one option on a team which is what you want and so I think this is fantastic I also think I say likely is incredible and he's just the rapist offense work and just being there held him back he's that's the all-time leader in like the toe tap almost touchdown I know he just has his feet are just too big they need to get him into some like foot binding shoes or something oh that's good the only I was going to add that I was going to add the exact same thing if it's I do think it likely is a very good player I know that it's kind of hard because he just not a real tight end and so offensive play callers kind of have a hard time figuring out how to use these guys they don't plan that much they rotate and they put two in at tight end they have blocking tight end command Theo Johnson's still there and Chris Mann hurts there there there's a chance that he just doesn't play enough to be a real fantasy factor I think that is a variable they have to take it but I don't they but if he does if he does play 75% of snaps if he's basically a almost every down player I think he could go dick off this you're hedging when you're like well he went up played up can I remind you the contract that gave him is three years for 40 million dollars they're paying 13 million a year and he's not a blocker if this if you look at the stats for him when Andrews was not in games for the Ravens and over like the four seasons he was averaging over 10 points a game I think it was you know depending on the the format that you're playing in it was he was a very high scoring tight end so yeah I mean I really like likely as a sort of a late high upside tight end dark throw maybe not a dark throw that's too too strong but but yeah and if he doesn't work out then you can drop him in two weeks all right just the giant receiving core is so bad and I almost think it's not getting attention because the dolphins are tanking and the nires receivers were all just eaten in the tragic substation accident but like the giants receiving core I will see there's always videos of like neighbors being I'm a little dubious still that like neighbors will just magically be 100% I think Again, the players behind are Darius Slaten, who they have been trying to get rid of Darius Slaten for seven years. Calvin Austin, who's, how tall is Calvin? Is he five foot eight? - Yeah. - He's tiny. - Yeah, he's-- - Malachi's five-seven. - Jesus. (laughs) And then Malachi feels who's basically like Mac Hollins, but he's a rookie. Out of none of-- - Daniel Mooney and Juduce and Shuster and Odell Beckham. - Oh yeah. - Beckham's practicing with the third team. That's Odell's with the third team, which can you imagine being someone drafted for the agent, just throwing to Odell Beckham? - But yeah, I think this was a great call. - The other thing I want to add just real quick is Fannan and likely both are very much, like they both fell a little bit in the draft because they lacked the elite athleticism, elite like explosive traits, but they're both kind of like basketball players to me, like guys that can post or like catch a high post pass, spin around, you know, like square guy up and beat him off the dribble. That's kind of like the athlete I think of them as, like it's like the first step in smaller schools guy. It's weird if you're a scout to push for a prospect that is not huge at tight end, but also not elite athleticism and a smaller school, but they just get open. - And they beat guys off the dribble. I mean, Fannan broke a ton of tackles. He's like duck footed and it actually works for him. It's like it helps him with his balance. It's kind of like Marshawn Lynch being bull-eggied. - Yeah. That's just kind of actually a competitive advantage. But yeah, it's, I think likely is very similar in that way where I always say I'm catch the pass, square guy up and beat him off the dribble, so to speak. And I just think he's really, he's just really good at that in the short and intermediate area. - So of all these, who is someone that you didn't bring to the table that you've been most convinced by and actually want to move up your rankings after talking today, Craig, I'll start with you. - I think I would go with, man. I think the likely case that DK just made is really good or I would go with high fits when you brought up Jayden Higgins on the Texans. Those are probably the two I'm the most interested in. - I'm drawn, I'm drawn to Quentin Johnston. I just think, especially for the price, just a lot of upside there. And in this offense that we don't really know how it's going to shake out. - I, yeah, I agree. I like DK, I like the likely one I'm going to move him up. And I think Craig's right about Quentin Johnston. I just think if you believe in the charges, but also are a little afraid then get Quentin Johnston. - He's just my new Mike Williams. - Yeah. - Yeah. - They're all chargers. It's Mike Williams, former fucking friend. - It's almost like you live in Los Angeles, but it's almost like you were the backup quarterback for the chargers for a couple years then. - Third string, third string. - Right, right, right, third string. - The Ranger Fantasy football shows brought to you by Fandall before the football season begins. Every team is undefeated. Every fan believes this could be the year. The year their team wins the division, makes the playoffs, lifts the trophy. In the Fandall, you can bet on any of it. From who will win it all and division winners to season win totals and playoff futures. Fandall has all the ways to bet on the season before it even begins. I kind of love parlaying a bunch of teams. I think we'll make the playoffs. I feel like the Ravens will make the playoffs and they're underrated because Lamar was hurt. And they have an easy schedule the first two months. I like the bangles because they have one of the easiest schedules in the NFL. I like the Lions because they have one of the easiest schedules in the NFL. And I like kind of throwing a bunch of those teams together and getting like eight to one. I don't feel like it's that much of a risk. I guess the Chargers are the biggest risk. But I kind of like putting a little crazy. But Chargers, bangles, Ravens, Lions, all together. And if you believe in the same, throw them in too. So I kind of don't mind them all and make the playoffs. I also kind of don't hate the Titans. That's maybe the craziest team I could see making the playoffs as a as a playoff team. But I kind of like the parlay of just a bunch of solid teams will make you at the same time. Get your football future bets in today on Fandall. Okay, want to do a couple of emails and get out of here? - Yeah. - All right. And just a reminder to everyone. First of all, we'll recap all the preseason games that are gonna happen over the weekend next week 'cause there is stuff that'll happen. So we'll hit them on all the games that have happened. Emails, so name brand offering it seemed appropriate. This isn't from Seth. - Seth. - That's bone. - I heard the call for name brand offering on a recent pod. I stumbled across a great one a couple weeks ago. - So Seth just didn't need breakfast? - I don't think he included breakfast. - What if I just send a message and not read the mail? - What? - See you. - We'll allow it. We'll allow it. - Did you hear the message? - Somebody asked Harba what he ate for breakfast and it's pressered the other day. - But I had the video cut off. What did he have? - I see. - Yeah, my video cut off. - Oh, this was a coach big index had this by the way and I think he responded. It was a banana protein shake. - Nice. - I don't know if that's actually what he did or if we were just editorializing there. - Okay. - We'll let it slide with Seth this time but look people, we wanna know what you're eating. - All right, from now on we won't read it unless you send the breakfast. - I don't want the breakfast. - You don't want the breakfast from El Postig. - Or maybe Seth's the new listener and he's not familiar with it. If you are a new listener and you send an email we'd love to know who you had for breakfast that morning. - Okay, we'd love to know. - Seth writes, "A lot of smart people "like our friend Meena Kimes "are picking the Broncos as the best team in the AFC." And my question is simple. Would anyone pick the Broncos to win the Super Bowl if Mike McCarthy was coaching the Broncos? - Probably, yeah. (laughing) - Seth writes, it's hypothetical, obviously not. - No, no. - The answer is no. - So, Seth writes, "What if I told you "that Broncos are already being coached by Mike McCarthy?" Because Sean Payton's for all intents and purposes the exact same coach as Mike McCarthy. And the media has just decided that once a dope and the others are genius. But Mike McCarthy's career record is dope. - I like to name a dope. - A dope. - Someone's a dope. - A dope. - He's a dope. Mike McCarthy's career, they both have coached almost the same exact number of games. Mike McCarthy's record is, he has won 63% of his games and Sean Payton, sorry, 61% Sean Payton's won 63%. And then he says, yeah, but McCarthy's a way, he says, but someone might say McCarthy's a way worse playoff coach when it matters. Well, it turns out Mike McCarthy's career playoff record is 11 and 11. And Sean Payton's career playoff records 10 and 10. McCarthy's actually won more playoff games. Yeah, McCarthy has more playoff wins. Does not have bounty gate is not a dick to everyone. He's actually quite a nice guy. And both coaches regularly coach high ranked offenses, both have all time playoff losses. And both are carried to one super bowl by a Hall of Fame quarterback. - Breeze versus Rogers, yeah. - Yeah, Mike McCarthy's just off brand Sean Payton. Maybe he might even just be one of those off brands where the big brand makes the same product and markets itself better. - This is good. - This is really good. - I like this. - Speaking my language, Seth. - I'm a big boy Mike. He's also speaking my language as the premier Sean Payton hater. - It is the HR meme. - It's the HR meme. - I think the like Mike McCarthy's a nice guys is derogatory because it feels like that's the only reason why the Steelers hired him is because he's nice and from Pittsburgh. But. - And he knows the quarterback. - Do you agree with his case, Seth's case? - I'm gonna have staying from this because of my previous comments on Sean Payton. But I do think this is a fun exercise. - It is really fun. - Two things I actually believe. I think Sean Payton is a better coach and I think that the 28th, the Saints team that got just totally, just the rug pulled under them on that passing experience called the Rams, that like it's the worst call I've ever seen. That team was amazing and probably should have won the Super Bowl and Payton doesn't get enough credit for that. I also think Mike McCarthy probably doesn't get the respect because he's like, honestly, I think people are just mean, I don't know why he's just mean. - It's because there's like funny shots of him on the sideline looking confused. It's like, I think the real answer is that McCarthy doesn't get the reason I don't respect McCarthy as much is if you watch the Cowboys playoff games, how like yeah, it's a good bit to be like he's 11-11. Sean Payton's 10-10. - But they lose that stupid ways. - Dude, one Cowboys season ended because Dak Prescott couldn't spike a football in 19 seconds. At the same time, the Chiefs got a feel goal of 13 seconds. That was the same weekend. The other one was Ezeka Elliott's career with the Cowboys the first time ended snapping a ball under center, do you remember this? Ezeka Elliott lined up a center on a trick play that didn't work? - I think that's the worst play I've ever seen, maybe. - It's like, what the factor in. - If you factor in like, what was that state? - It might be the worst play ever. - I agree with that. The fact that if you think was a regular season, like in a playoff game with the season of the lie, instead of Dak, it was crazy. And then the other one ended with McCarthy against the Packers. I think that with the Cowboys done 30 to nothing in that game, but just the quality of the losses has been stunning. That's the real answer. But it's fun to think about. - Yeah. - This is fun, I like doing this. - Can I reach out to everyone versus player B comparisons? - Yeah. - Do you guys want to name a man or name a child? - What? - You heard me, do you want to. - This is, we're doing name-brand off-brand. Would you like to rebrand a child or rebrand a man? - I don't understand the question and I won't respond to it. - Played her platter. - All right, maybe we'll do both. Okay, we'll start with this one. This one is from. - Well, I'll tell you who it's from in a second. We'll go A-Bone. - A-Bone. - Breakfast was a Urba mate tea within everything bagel and cream cheese. - Urba mate. - Urba mate? - You're Bammate. - You're Bammate. - I guess that's don't you give me any-- - I'm a fucking champ. - It's a rating M-A-T-E. - This is fine, it's fine. - Have you ever heard of it? You've never heard of it? - No, I guess not. You're Bammate, I don't know what that is. I read mate as mate, and I will not apologize. - You've never seen it? You've never seen it? You've never had your Bammate know-- - Oh, the yellow kids? - Yeah, I've seen that all the time. Have I heard it pronounced out loud? I don't, clearly not. - I don't know what you're Bammate is. - I've seen that can, I can't say I've ever had it, and I certainly don't-- - Never ordered it. - It's expected to say Mate. - I'm sorry, I'm surprised you've never, no one in your world has ever said you're Bammate. It's a popular drink, but it's okay. - DK? - I'm gonna let this one slide. I don't hate it. - You don't like it? - I don't like it. - DK will never publicly take my side, but-- - I mean, he immediately jumped at you. It was like it's you're Bammate, which means he also knows-- - I knew it was you're Bammate. I don't know what you're Bammate is at all, though. - I didn't see that. - I didn't see that, apparently. - This is crap. - According to Craig, it's T. - Yeah. - Well, it's a very popular drink, I don't know. This is not some niche product, but anyway. - Nikhil says they have your Bammate at the Spotify offices, so we're gonna have to do it. - Yeah, they're in every store. - Yeah, I'm not saying it doesn't exist. I'm sorry, God forbid I read your Bammate. - I don't know. - Anyway, email me, God, I can't win, man. - I just thought it was funny. Sorry, you're a Bammate. - I can't win. - Your Bammate's good, I like it. - So the email says up a 32 year old man out of LA who's about to move to Seattle. Within the year. - Hell yeah. - So I figured now would probably be my last chance for a name rebrand, since my first name's Michael. My middle name is Angel, and since I was a kid, I have gone by my middle name, Angel. And I've always wanted to make the switch to Michael or a new variation of my name, but I can never land on one. And since I'm gonna be introducing myself to a totally new, sort of, people soon when I move to Seattle, I feel like this is my golden opportunity for a name rebrand, rebrand. Please, fellas, help your boy out. - This is good. - I'll just be a little nicer to my bronch. - You have an opportunity to restart. Hit the risk. - Well, so he asked me to find something kind of within Michael, Angel or just a brand new name. - I don't know, but I think this is easy. People ask you what your name is, I'm Mike. - And you're just gonna start doing that. - I think you should go by Mickey. - Mickey? - Fucking full send. - Wow. - Bring it up. Mickey. - I don't know if he looks like, can you pull off, if you can pull off a Mickey, that's my vote. - I don't know what his last name is, but what if he just goes by Mike Angel? - That's like a, that's like a porn direct angel. (laughing) - A Mike Angel production. - Yeah. - Mike Angel. - Sounds like a magician. - That's sick. - We demand to be taken seriously. - Mike Angel. - Mike Angel. - Oh, that's pretty good. - And then people just don't know your last names. Mike Angel. - That is, yeah, Mike Angel. - Drop the last name. - Tyson. - You don't know who you are, all of it's you. - The whole thing is you. - Is Mike also asking us to rename his child? Or is that a different email? - Oh, that's a different email. - I have to do that one too clearly. - So Mike Angel's the answer. The other one's-- - I vote Mickey. - All right. - Mickey's cool. - That's cool. - That's Mickey. - I'm with Crank, Mike Angel. - Mike Angel. - Last one here is from Logan. - He's not gonna do Mike Angel. - Mike Angel is a character in Fast and Furious. - Also does he go by On Hell? On Hell? I don't know. - I'm probably using that horribly, but yeah, on Hell. - Like a Spanish version, right? - Right. - Yeah. - Mike's on. - I got thrown off by the Mottet. (laughing) Like I can't, it's overthinking everything. - Mike Angel is gonna have a year of a mate. (laughing) - All right. Last one here. Logan says, my name is Logan. Sorry, obviously, Jesus. - Elbone. - Breakfast was a pre-workup for the gym and in three hard-boiled eggs after the gym. - This guy's training. - Nice. - He's cutting. - Yeah, that's our core. I love that. - Logan says, I wanted to reach out about the rebranding 'cause I may need your services to set the stage. My wife and I have two kids, ages four and two. My wife is currently pregnant with our third child. We have a predicament. Our first two kids are both boys. And when we named our first son, Denver, we thought it would be cute to keep the theme going. And we named our second son, Dallas. - Okay. - So Denver and Dallas. But now, we have a third child coming and we cannot figure out another name that works with the cities that start with D. - Ooh, this is fun. - Oh, God, Des Moines. - Well, yeah, they've already suggested that. - Des Moines. - They're joking. - No, well, that's thing is they're like, our family is just hitting us with bits like Des Moines, Detroit, and Delaware. - Des Moines would be hilarious. - Justin, Dakota, and Dayton. And they want us to name our kids. - Dakota, Dakota is not bad. It's not a city, I guess, but-- - I think we could call him Dac, or her. - Dac is the late, yeah, Dac, sorry. - Is it a boy or a girl? - Do we know? - I think it's a boy, not 100% sure. I think it's a boy. - Oh, this is a good girl name with the D name. - So what, yeah, but can we find a city? - Dearborn. - I mean, Dayton sounds like a name. - Daytona. - Daytona. - Daytona. - Damascus. - Dude, come on. - Damascus. - It's kind of bad ass. - Hey, what's up? How you doing, man? What's your name? - Dunker. - Sick. - Dunker. - You can go by Kirk. Kirk. - Wow. - Go by Dunn or Kirk. - Oh my god. - Dunk. - Oh my god. - So we got, what are the top four? Dakota. - Daytona. - Daytona. Dublin. - And Dayton. - And Dayton. - No one likes Damascus, just me, okay. - I mean, I like Damascus, but let's be serious. - Dakota, Daytona. What was the other one? - Dublin. - Dublin. - And Daytona. - Dayton. - Yeah. - Okay. - So vote on Spotify. Go to Spotify. - Yeah. - If you scroll down when you're listening to the episode. - Okay. - Thank you, DK. Thank you, Craig. Thank you to Logan and your wife for letting us name your child. - Hmm. - Thank you to Mike Angel for taking that suggestion. You can't wait to meet you in Seattle. - Angel. - Thank you to him for listening to me. Emo's punishments. We need punishments for the Ring of Fantasy Football League. Thread the Needle of something that's funny, but also, like, Bill Simmons won't be in a waffles for 24 hours, so we got to thread the needle here. Thank you, DK. Thank you, Craig. Bill, thank you, Austin, thank you. Boo, thank you, Carlos. Thank you. Everyone for listening, but most of all, thank you, Lord. Lord. - Millennial banger's summer continues. We roll on 2008 closer by NEO, the chain smokers. The song "Closer by NEO" is one of the more underrated Millennial bangers we have. The chorus of this song will vibrate your soul. Pop that on right now. - I'm going to pull this up right now. - It starts a little slow, kind of builds up, and when you get to the chorus, windows down, summer day, driving down the highway, you're going to have a blast. Do you guys not know this song? - I'm pulling it up right now. - I'm listening. I've heard it for sure. - And I just can't pull myself away banger. - Oh, yeah. I've heard this. I like this. This is kind of an underrated one. I've never heard it. I don't know this is like a super popular one, but I definitely remember it. - The song was a thing. NEO is a thing. NEO was featured in a lot of big songs. NEO is in a lot of pit bull songs. Give me everything. That's NEO with pit bull. - Here we go. Sing that one, Craig. - NEO also is a good name for. That was a good name, he teaches. - It's N-E-Yo. - It's good. - Your bum mate. - This is NEO. - Fuck, I'm sorry. Imagine for a moment if I said yerba mate and it was yerba mate. What would have happened to me? - Either way, we would have laughed. - I don't know. - NEO is good. - NEO is good. - Just one song. - Just once you got to go, sorry, I said it wrong. - I know. You just can't take it. You can't take it out. - Just one time. - You refuse to be like, my bad. You have to be like technically, I'm like. - I know. - That was the players all the time. I'm sorry about my Davis and all the players. - No, yerba, it's not like I refuse to apologize. - Oh my god, please. - Anyway, tell us about, sing it Craig. - I don't know if I could have named this song, but this chorus is iconic. - You know it, right? I mean, it's a really good song. And I added it to the playlist, which is coming out at the end of the month. - I know. I will release it. - What are you gonna drop the playlist Craig? - I should drop it right now. - We're all waiting. - Should I drop it right now? - Yeah. - I got 18 songs on it. - You know how some artists will drop like an entire album randomly on a Wednesday at eight Pacific? - Yeah, like, remember when like Beyoncé just dropped a lemonade and no one knew it was coming? - Yeah, I do actually. - That's what Craig's gonna do with this playlist. - Let's get drop it. - Well, I mean, the playlist is already public. You probably go find it. (laughing) But now, well, it's called Millennial Bangers, is the name of the playlist. It says by Craig. - Now it's very easy to find. - I will put it in the episode description. (laughing) - Go listen to Closer by Neo, if you don't know it, or if you're like, oh really? - I don't dislike this. - It's great. It's kind of really heavy like beat to it. And I just can't bone myself away. - It's good. - It's like a good car song. - Yeah. - They all are. All the Millennial Bangers are great with car speakers. - Do you have any emojis in the title? 'Cause it turns out we're in the first to think of this. - No. I'll just add the link to the thing, to the description. - Cool. - Should I add emojis? I kind of hate that. - No, that's not true. (laughing) - You got the ick just thinking about that. Goodbye, everyone. Must be 21+ and present in select states. Mike Evans is pitched as a value over AJ Brown, with similar career numbers but a later ADP.
