Texas Gets Revenge, Oregon and Oklahoma Lose on the Road | Week 2 Recap | The BFW Show 9.12.26

Brandon Walker reviews a chaotic and emotionally charged weekend in college football, focusing on pivotal matchups and coaching failures. Texas delivers a stunning fourth-quarter comeback against Ohio State, showcasing resilience and offensive strength despite early deficits, while Ohio State’s collapse is attributed to poor decision-making and defensive lapses. Oklahoma State shocks the field by defeating Oregon 39-31 with a dominant offensive performance, despite a poor start against Tulsa, highlighting the unpredictability of the season. Michigan also emerges as a dark horse with a strong second-half rally. Walker critiques the performance of head coaches, particularly Brent Venables of Oklahoma, whom he believes failed to develop a balanced team. He also expresses regret over overestimating Oregon’s chances, calling Oklahoma a "bad football team" with a weak offense. Other notable moments include Drew Mesta Maker’s game-winning performance, Camario Taylor’s standout play against Minnesota, and the viral post-game antics of Steve Sark. The episode underscores the growing volatility in college football, where teams with strong talent profiles can falter under pressure, and where early losses have a significant impact on momentum. Walker concludes by emphasizing the emotional intensity and unpredictability of the sport, calling it “crazy” and “magical,” with many teams still within reach of contention despite early setbacks. The week’s top story is Texas’s dramatic win, named Reese’s Winner of the Week for its unifying impact and high-drama finish.

One night we'll never be the same, shop now on Walmart. Holy fucking shit. That's what I have to say to that, holy fucking shit. We are here, Brandon Walker calls football show on a Saturday night, on a night where it looked like all the demons were back for Texas, they never went a big game, they'd never do it, arch would never do it, sock would never do it. They couldn't do it, they were choke artists, they were choking, they choked, until they didn't. Amazing comeback in Austin, our pets heads are falling off in still water, and holy fucking shit that really happened in an order. All the while, Kamario Taylor's taking over this whole goddamn sport. Our pets heads are falling off, folks, Liam, hello, hey Brandon, why are our pets heads falling off? A lot to react to, a lot to react to, there are three major major major major events that happen today, and if you have a four, please tell me, but one being Texas and Ohio State with an absolute classic at night, a classic where it looked like Texas was going to be the Texas of old, and finally, finally, finally, archmaning feels like he has arrived as at least a clutch player, if not a prolific player throughout the game, at least a clutch player, and I know Liam, I already know, I can smell it in the air. You're going to tell me these early season losses don't count. Well, for Ohio State, who had a win in their pocket on the road against Texas, for no Ohio State team, who's going to have to go to Indiana later, who's going to have to go to USC later, who's going to play Oregon, who, by the way, has their own issues they got to deal with. There's so much to talk about. Now, I don't really know which one you want to talk about first. We're going to talk plenty about Oregon and the absolute disaster class they have put on for the first two weeks. We're going to talk plenty about mission, although that might be a little bit more about Oklahoma, and then we're going to start here. We're going to start with Texas and Ohio State, because it was two national title hopefuls, not just one like Oregon, Oklahoma State, not just one like Michigan, Oklahoma. It was two national title hopefuls, both trying to get an early season win, both trying to make a statement. The last year Ohio State made that statement, opened the season with the 14/7 win. He's never got it back on the track and Ohio State used it to go to play off. We'll see what happens this time, but all I want to say before I give it to you, Bloodman. There were a lot of people in this company, some of them Ohio State fans, that thought it was awful goddamn funny when I couldn't hold a 17-point lead in the fourth quarter against Texas last year. All full lot of people in this company, some Ohio State fans, some on this show, some on other shows that clap like seals. When I couldn't hold a 17-point lead against Texas in the fourth quarter, those are dots I never connected until now. That's pretty frightening for the next seven days. You have that ammunition. All full lot of people thought it was real fucking funny. Now, what's tonight? The Texas comeback or the Ohio State collapse, Liam Bloodman. I think it was Arthur Smith. From the college football, you can't dribble down your leg. You're inating everywhere trying to bleed out the clock in college football. That other team has a chance. You're more susceptible to this in college football than the NFL. We've already seen his conservative play calling Gavin Trouble in the NFL. Sure. I think that's what led them down this road. Well, not only that, but how many times is Ohio State have to get victimized by the lack of a kicker? How many how many times? How many times can Ryan Day get to this point where if you're going to be in elite games with elite teams, if you're going to be in in in wars in the fourth quarter and you have a five-star at every single position and you can outspend everybody at every single position. How the fuck are you still going into it with a kicker who's not going to be automatic? All these other teams have automatic kickers and you win when the chips are down and the big 10 championship game gets into the end of last year, you miss 21-yard field goal tonight. You make that field goal. The game's over. And you don't and you get beat. But Arch still had to go I what 70 yards 80 yards still had to do what he did still did what he did. I thought for the first 45 minutes of game time, it was just Arch and Sark and the receivers and other players on Texas just taking turns shitting down their leg, taking turns, looking like they had no idea what to do in this big spot, taking turns, Arch, how many if I had a nickel for every time Arch through an over through an open receiver tonight. I'd have a lot of nickels. If I had a dime for every time one of his five star receivers blew a play, I'd have several dimes like I would I would have accrued some money and but Texas ends up coming through. They fight through all that shit. They fight through all that shit and Sark is the one that gets the win and Ryan days the one holding the back. Brande has a national title, but he still has a knack for pulling out defeats from the jaws of victory in situations he should win football games. How do you have a roster like that still have that knack? I mean, I this is one of those chalk it up to college football speechless moments, Brandon. I don't know. Ryan Day finds himself in this position of coaching cowardly again or at least coaching someone who on staff was super cowardly. The thing that really does stand out to me is why Arch, Sark and the wide receivers seem to be so out of sync and this is something that even dates back to last year tonight they get away with it. But aren't you worried about that? Like that happens so consistently. I would be worried. It's almost it's almost freaky. First of all, Ryan Wingo's the best receiver that can't receive in the entire history of the sport. The motherfucker just can't receive balls. He just can't do it. Secondly, like just weird shit happens like the early throw where the early throw where Arch hits Cam Coleman and Cam Coleman had to, you know, stretch out for it. But how many times the history of cost football does that ball bounce off the chest so perfectly into the defender's arms who was beaten by five yards? That just doesn't happen. They were just snakebitten for so long. But now they bit the snakeback again, we're almost talking negatively about them because they played so negatively for the entire game. But in the end they win the football game and this is the stark and arch both needed a moment. They needed a moment to say here we are. We have arrived and they have arrived. And now Oregon, Ohio State has to go deal with the schedule. They already have a loss. They have to go deal with the schedule with USC and with Oregon and then with Indiana or road trip. They have to deal with that. Texas has a tough schedule but they don't have the loss on their resume that Ohio State has. Big time, big time performance by the Texas offensive line in that second half and that fourth quarter. They were down 23 and three and they were able to just run the ball pretty much out whenever they needed to. There was never a arch hit like five bombs or anything. No, there was never like they got the stops on the goal line at the end. But that was a game of cat and mouse and did you want to score? Did you not want to score? What was going on here and there? Whatever, it's not like a Ohio State was ever again that big stop to put Texas back behind the sticks really. Maybe happen once or twice. Maybe my memory escapes me. But Texas offensive line dominated that fourth quarter. He did. And credits to Texas credits to arch. Now we're going to circle back to this game several times when we do our categories later and we can circle back whenever you guys want to but I do think there's a lot of people in here that want me to come to the carpet and either eat some crow or say I was wrong or do certain things. The sport is so crazy. The sport is so magical. It's so amazing. I'm going to go ahead and admit to you. You can knock me over with a feather. The fact that Oregon is one and one right now and lost the Oklahoma State. And there's so many reasons why so many people are saying, "Did you really have Oregon as your national title?" You really pick them? You fucking moron. You moron from Mississippi. You picked Oregon? I picked a team who was in the final four last year. Who was in the playoff the last two years. Who was bringing back a guy who could have been the number one pick last year. Who was bringing back every relevant receiver they had. Who was bringing back every relevant defensive player they had. Everything on paper looked exactly right. Everything. And then I had the audacity to pick them to win this week against the team who had lost by two touchdowns to Tulsa last week. So if you're reaction to Oregon losing the Oklahoma State is Brandon Walker's a moron and it isn't, "Oh my god calls for walls amazing." I don't know what to do. You can think I'm moron all the more. I look at Oregon on paper. I still don't know what the fuck's going on. My theory is, Nick Stapin was the greatest coach of all time because even when he lost coordinators, his leadership and his identity first team was so strong that it didn't matter. He just rolled over the next coordinator. Dan Lening isn't that. Dan Lening has all the talent in the world that Oregon has bought for him. They have all the stars in the world, but he has two new coordinators and he doesn't have the ability to imprint his will on this team. And the new coordinators aren't ready to make this team elite. That is what I see so far, Liam Blutman. Yeah, marrying her is just not right for the bright lights of this. Dante Moore has also played a really stinky two games for a guy that was probably going to be in New York Jett in 2026 NFL draft. Has all everyone everyone you talk to make sure you talk to Kiper. You talk to draft analysts here. It's going to be a top two pick again. He's one of the best corebacks in the entire galaxy. He was 14 of 29 and still water day. He couldn't make the simplest of throws. The something's massive reads. Something is missing. I do. I'm not smart enough to know. I've always thought something was missing. I've always said the one thing I don't like about Dante Moore is when the level of the opponent goes up. His play does not. But now it's not even that. Now he's played boys. He's stating now he's played Oklahoma state and he was bad in both. But okay. So. So Oregon loses in Brandon Walker's a moron. That still doesn't answer the question here. What the fuck happened with Oklahoma state? Forget it. Forget it. Forget picking them to win the national title. Forget any of that. Forget anybody liked them. Forget it. Even though their consists of top five team because we forget any of that. Don't put a organ on the side. Oklahoma state. Lost a Tulsa last week in a game that could have been worse in a game where the coach for Tulsa said we could have been 37 to 10 and there's nobody on the Oklahoma state side that could have said he was wrong. And now they have a top five team coming into their place after getting embarrassed and week one of Eric Morris and week one of Drew Mesta maker and all of a sudden Drew Mesta maker's fucking Johnny men sell out there. Drew Mesta maker is is going out there making plays with his feet. He's making plays with his arms. He's all over the place. He's flipping into the end zone. There's heart. There's desire. His teammates are up and down the field. I know they won this game by 8.3931. They doubled them in offensive output. They'll gain about 250 yards and 500 yards. They kicked the fucking shit out of organ. What the fuck happened. When we were talking about that Tulsa game, all I keep saying was one Mesta maker was missing throws high. He maybe did that once today to that offensive line and their defense line were getting smushed in. It was like remember that scene and toy story or whatever down the incinerator where they're all gang smushed into the fire. That's what was happening to Oklahoma state on both sides of trenches. They handled a great organ past rush, a great defensive line that was nowhere to be seen as police state doesn't show up again today. So there's another disconnect happening. Dan Lang's got to drill into them, but Mesta maker is that future NFL QB1 and he showed that today. He is one of the most talented growers of the football in this country. Fine, fine. What happened? What happened last week? How do you start the season against Tulsa and you look like you don't belong on a division one football field and an organ comes to town and you beat the living dog shit out of them. Why? Because football is fucking crazy. I guess the world of really no one what you're talking about coming into a season is kind of over the only teams that people think they're right about now are the teams have fucking played anybody. I guess it should have picked Georgia who played, you know, two tomato cans or Indiana the only two teams that nobody has doubts about right now are the teams that have played absolutely fucking nobody through to if you played somebody you've had a moment where it's like, oh my goodness, holy fucking shit Ohio States had a Texas said Oregon state or organs had everybody's had it. And now the third one we're going to circle back to Oregon Oklahoma state like I said, well, we're going to do all that. The third one is Michigan and it is Oklahoma. Now I can stomach people saying, oh, you picked Oregon. You're stupid. I'm fine. You know, I'll pick Oregon again. I have no problem picking Oregon. The talent profile in that team. So crazy. I don't know what the problem is. I didn't see the problem coming. I will admit to that right now. I don't think I'm going to sit here and let Michigan fans say, oh, you doubted us. You got us wrong. We stuck in your face. I didn't doubt you. You doubted yourselves. You guys are the ones that lost the Western Michigan. You guys are the ones that embarrassed yourself last week. You guys are the ones that were trash. You guys are the ones whose coach was saying these are quarterback right now. You guys are the ones whose quarterback said, cool. I guess I don't. You guys are the ones that embarrassed yourself. All I did was pointed out. And then Oklahoma. Oh my god, Brent Vennibles. You, you, you crappy coach. You, my god. The one thing I regret in all of this. The one thing I regret in all of this is throwing some belief behind Oklahoma. Because I've had Oklahoma peg since Brent Vennibles got there. And for whatever reason, my dumbass let myself talk myself into something else. Because Brent Vennibles is not a good head football coach. Brent Vennibles is a good defensive coach. But he inherited a soft pathetic half of a football team from Lincoln Riley. He inherited a great offense and a bad defense. And in five years, the only fucking thing he's done is flip the patheticness. He just flipped the pathetic. All he did was make the defense good and the offense pathetic. They're the same punk ass team. They were when they were Lincoln Riley. They're the same team. They just got pumped by Michigan today. They're half a football team. I don't know why Oklahoma can't hire a coach that can build a whole football team. But right now they are half a football team. And that half is on the defensive side. Frankly, they got a punk today too. So I don't know. I can't explain Oklahoma. I don't know why Oklahoma did what they did. Bryce Underwood was nine of nine of 17 day for 111 yards. He ran for 87 yards like he was definitely better than he was last week. But last week he was historically bad. So if you want to say, oh, I told you so I told you so you didn't tell me so. Michigan fans didn't believe in this team. They probably still don't believe in the same. But Oklahoma fans, I guarantee you you better not believe in your team because Brent Venables was garbage today. And John Mateer. Oh, unless we forget it was a 10 to 10 football game in the fourth quarter. Mateer's got the ball in his hands and throws one of the worst picks you'll ever see. A guy who's been in college for now four years. Multiple years in the SEC and he's throwing that pick. One of the more garbage picks you will, you will ever see. Liam was today about Michigan getting off the mat showing they are a solid football team. Or was it about Oklahoma once again showing they're not anything to worry about. This comes down to what we are talking about on Thursday show where it was the spread opened at one one and a half and got to six and a half and a four and a five and a whatever it be. And the whole time we're like, just don't make sense. Man, just don't make. It was obvious what's about. Yeah, correct. When it don't make sense, it makes a whole like a sense. It just meant the whole world thinks it's Oklahoma's game. When it's going to be Michigan's game. The win. I think that was pretty evident in the first quarter today to me. What I'm most mad about is you for conning me in the taking this Oklahoma team to make the plan. When I didn't even like their quarterback last year when he was the people's iceman in September. I follow you into the into the wilderness with this. Their quarterback is literally just another Bryce underwood. I don't know why you're calling me. You know, he's not as good as Bryce underwood. I don't have a home in my playoff. I don't have Oklahoma in my playoff. Lukey, do we have time at the end to show my playoff? No, I don't think we do. I don't think we do. Luke can't talk to me. Michigan isn't good. Oklahoma's just bad. Michigan. I guess they're okay. They've scored 30 points in two games. Like they they've got like 350 yards of total offense this year. Like there. If you want to feel good about Michigan, feel free to feel good about Michigan. I think it's more about Oklahoma just absolutely being fucking wretched offensively John mater yes go go Liam who's good that's great that's a great point and there and there it is once again this sport has flattened out so much and it's so much closer the margins are so much closer that what I said earlier is correct the only teams that seem good are the ones who haven't fucking played anybody or Mississippi state those are the only teams that are good Georgia seems great they played nobody Indiana seems great their cowards they play nobody like all the teams that did that you're like oh wow they're good have just not done I've not had to do anything yet everybody who has had to do something has had a moment where you're like oh Michigan all but got beat against western Michigan Oklahoma stunk today Ohio State was awful in the fourth quarter against Texas Texas was awful in the first two quarters against Ohio State like if you've had to do something so far you have given somebody reason to doubt you I don't know who's good I'll say this Ohio State in Texas will both be good okay they're both good Indiana is good it is or it can Oregon still be good of course they could still be good and that's where I get mad is that there's they're still alive to win their conference championship of course they are still well within the mix to make the college drop left they're probably a minus odds favorite to do so that's where my beef comes in is hey they just lost this 24 point favorites at Oklahoma State a team who had what lost like 50 games in a row wasn't closer competitive against Tulsa and in the loss doesn't truly punish them as it should and that's where I get upset well I disagree totally with that I think losses are punitive you know I I don't this world where a team loses and you want them to be shut out of the playoff entirely I just don't think that's right you know it's it's a it's there's more parity in the sport and if you mission is Michigan's a great example let's say they had lost last week to to western Michigan we all would have just given up on them which makes the comeback more interesting and more fun and more and more you know we all gave we all give up on teams and and they come back so so I don't really I don't want losses to be as punishing punishing as you do I think it goes both ways and again if we all had the same opinions in life what would be the point of anything I just when I was growing up watching college football it was these these bad dudes these gladiators who had no room for any margin of air in the true best of the best the cream of the crop was always rising to the top and I miss that aspect a little bit that's a kind of that's a kind of mentality to get you two important games after like October 15th that that and that's not what I want in my costume anyway that we're talking big picture stuff I like to focus right now because because at the heart of all of this at the heart of every single thing we're talking about Oregon has a head coach that is under achieving through two games so far this year with the talent they've got with the quarterback they've got with the talent profile they've got Dan landing and it's probably because the two new coordinators but he is underachieving so far this year Brent Venables with that defensive talent he's got is underachieving through two games this year Ohio state by choking that game the way they did tonight is underachieving so far this year they had Texas they had them they were right there Ryan Day what you're seeing is that the very top of the sport these coaches who have accrued the most talent for whatever reason are not slamming the door and I don't know why it is I I can't explain it but I'm looking at some week coaches at some strong programs right now and when are those coaches going to get stronger are they going to fix these things I don't know we'll see oh man what a what a what a great day to be alive what a great day to be alive I I really think you know talking about or picking an Oregon to win the national title it's going to be as wrong as wrong can be and I think I truly think that's what's so amazing about the sport if you look at what they had don't seem more coming back all the defense coming everything coming back everything about them on paper is amazing and almost perfect and through eight quarters the kind of trash and this doesn't happen in many sports this just doesn't happen and Oklahoma state doing what they did being as bad as they were and then being as good as they are just fantastic good stuff let me let me read an ad and then we will get into all of our stuff because we have a lot of a lot of stuff to talk about this episode is sponsored by Tony's famous Cajun right burn to wake up anything on your plate shop now at cajunkick.com/barstool want a stat please give me a stat teams were 0 and 223 when trailing by 17 plus points versus an AP number one team since 2003 you know it's not even that they were trailing 23 to 3 it's how dead Texas looked in trailing 23 to 3 it's how many passes arch was missing it's the fumbles it's it's it's it's everything it's the I was fully prepared to get here I think the Texas Ohio State the story they were telling was so encapsulated by Sark's bizarre fourth and one play call when it's fourth and one take a hold there was a whole sequence they're late in the first half help me with the score I believe it was 13-3 I think it's 13-3 Texas has the ball it's third and about eight and I don't remember the running back but they give the ball the running back and he's running to the to the sideline to both get out of bounds get out bounds and get the first down and he kind of lolly gangs and doesn't get the first down he just goes out short of the sticks even though all he had to do was step over the sticks then it was bizarre and then Sark on fourth and one calls a reverse that gets sniffed out loses eight yards not only have you now not gotten it but you've given Ohio State the ball at the 45 yard line they go score it's 20 it's 23 just like that and you think oh my god Sark will never win a big game that's some of the worst big game coaching I've ever seen and then Ryan Day says you know what 23-3-23-3 we're good I don't I'm not going to use Jeremiah Smith to overwhelm this team and break their back I'm not going to make sure that we go ahead and win this game I'm just gonna kind of chill out we should be fine and here we are Sark and Ryan Day both kind of like pussy footed around each other and Texas ends up winning the fucking football game can bat Brandon and Mitt Bama as a top 10 team I think it's bizarre Alabama fans won't they they won't assurance so bad because you know they don't actually believe it you know in the first half when they were just absolutely in a war with Kentucky and didn't look very good you know they were just motherfucking their team and you know they they know that their their teams just kind of okay it's kind of pretty good and they're just begging me they're sucking my dick can you admit they're a top 10 team please please please please could you give me some bread please you too no or Alabama's fine I didn't see anything today they make me go oh my god Alabama Jesus Christ yet three years ago you're sitting on top of the sport killing everybody now you're in my chat sucking my dick please pay attention to us please please pay attention to us all right you gotta go around the country here let me make sure is anything happening right now it's fucking crazy uh Clemson's only up 16 7 on Georgia Southern entering the fourth quarter oh my god um yeah 20 point favorites you know there's so much that has happened tonight you know Seihawk was tonight LSU LSU was kind of an award for a while Texas Tech was in a war for a while so many so many teams that were just uh you know Seihawk again 16 13 which I If 16 13 is like a rivalry it is Seihawk right 16 13 should be the official score of that rivalry game that just feels like what it is every every single time I'm gonna go around the country uh because there's there's there's there's so much can I just can I be selfish a little bit real quick yep I don't know why you were scared I don't know why I was scared I was telling you you got no no no no no I know why I was scared I was scared because we having one more than five games in a half a decade I was scared because we went two and a couple years ago I was scared all of these things. I was scared because we haven't proven it lately. I was scared because we blew three games last year. That's why I was scared. But Camario Taylor is the fucking man. Camario Taylor goes to Minnesota and beats the fucking shit out of Minnesota. This goes down the field bang, bang, bang, bang. Games over a half time. Camario Taylor and Jeff Levy has recruited a team of fucking track stars in the receivers we got. What's his name? Anthony Evans from Georgia. It's just I'm feeling good. I'm feeling good about my team. I'm ready. I'm feeling good about where we're going and all that. All right. So I actually was about to talk Alabama and Kentucky because I thought you know that first half the both offenses were really struggling against both defenses and ended up. Alabama ended up pulling it out in the end. Now that defense is very, very, very, very good. I don't know that I'm so don't keel in Russell and that offense are still not running the football very well with their running backs. Their average in what three and a half four yards of care with their running backs. Kim Russell's he's pretty good and probably will be elite at one point. But I don't know if he's there now. I think Alabama is a solid SEC team. I'm not sure I'm ready to put in my contenders. But again, we probably lost Oklahoma as a contender in the SEC today. So who knows? Who knows? What do you think about Alabama, Kentucky? I really don't understand what happened to Kentucky's creativity offensively in the early third quarter and that put them well behind the eight ball. The the final score is 45 17. I'm like good for Alabama, right? It did feel like a grind. It was a grind. I mean, they were down a half time. It wasn't absolute grind. They carry away with it in the second half. Good for them. Keelin has so much talent. Just think he's going to be too inconsistent as first few starts here. Two young experience. It's going to be a star next year. Yeah. No, I think he is too. Well, you know, I don't know if it'll be for this coach, but we'll see. Boise State beats Memphis. This was a game we had circled. This was also a game that Boise State was trailing at the half. It was 20 to 17 to half. And then Boise State beats the fucking shit out of them in the second half. This was we had this marked as kind of a G6 watershed moment. This would be somebody taking their early lead and it looked like Memphis was going to take it to them. And then Boise State just just stayed in with them. Would you do you have you seen enough Liam Blutman to go ahead and give them to say that Boise State is the prohibitive favorite for the G6 spot. They they are also NDSU having a great game at Air Force right now, but Boise State obviously has has pole position here. That's what this match was. It was a pole position game. Big time flip momentum change in this game. Memphis recovered a muffed punt and wasn't given the ball for it. And from there, Boise State had explosive after explosive after explosive offense line killed it. They ran for like eight yards of carry. Memphis doesn't score a point in the second half. Memphis's ferocious D line doesn't record a sack all night. Crazy. Yeah. Yeah. It was it was it was quite the win for Boise State. I do think they are the class of that group. My day never quite recovered from calling Purdue money line. And you know, I was on a plane coming back. Purdue is Purdue is leading and over time 36 to 30. Weight forest has fourth and 16. And I pat myself on the back for being a genius and calling Purdue when in beating weight forest on the money line. I said, Brandon, you did it. We're here. I know Michigan won today, but you did it, man. And I put my phone down and I fold my hands and I say, it's really nice to know ball. It just really is nice to know ball. And I get off the plane and Wake Forces 13836. I have no idea how they confirmed fourth and sixth. I do know what happened, but anyway, it doesn't matter. USC isn't exactly cruising right now. Hello? Yeah. I thought you were going to go on with that. No, no, no. I'm just looking at the scores right now because I'm kind of catching up. Not long down that because I'm doing the show, you know, North Dakota State's killing the Air Force. Utah's up 29-3 over Arkansas. The the artist not even that close. Oh, what's UCLA doing? Are they still playing? We won today. Don't look at the halftime score. Look at the final score. And then LSU was a LSU had a very mid kind of first half today. I think they were up 10-7 at the halftime. They were going up 17 nothing through a pick six, a hundred yards pick six. They ended up winning with ease, but but that's one of those things. I don't think them or Ole Miss was ever going to look great today because of what they're looking for next week. Do you know what was happening in that game at halftime? Like how many yards Louisiana Tech had? No, I really don't. They had zero yards at the halftay or down 10-7. Yeah, well, I knew they had a hundred yard pick six. The reason, oh, this was the game. I was trying to get to one more game. I really wanted to mention, Arizona State really gave it to Texas A&M for a while. And then Texas A&M ended up winning 48 to 48-20. Maybe that looked like it wasn't close at all. I know that there was a defensive score late. I don't know what to make of either of those teams. I think both of those teams might be pretty good, Liam. I think Arizona State is going to be a really good big 12 team. Now I'm getting paused because, remember, they have to go London and I don't like the whole international coming back thing. Now, I thought their scheme looked really good today for the most part. They outgained A&M thoroughly and then all of a sudden, flip of the switch. A&M's past rushes in the backfield on every single play and their defense wrecked havoc, flipped the game 24 points of the fourth quarter, all fueled because of that defense. They were game recorders that front four, front seven. All right, let me do an ad. We're going to start some categories and then we'll talk through the rest of the slate, through the categories. We opened up a lot of categories next week, and I have no problem adding more categories or losing categories, but I'm going to say the ones I remember, we got the most impressive team, the most depressing team, the most badass thing that happened this weekend. The hand up I was wrong, the award, the I told you so award, then we got the Reese's winners and losers of the week, and then the what are we doing, and the top 10 players of the weekend. I would like to go to the top 10 players of the weekend because I have six written down, and then I would like to fill out the rest with either the chats help or with your help, okay? I actually have seven. So I had, this is in no order, Kamario Taylor, Mississippi State quarterback. Jeremiah Smith, Ohio State receiver, they lost the game, he was brilliant. Drew Mastamaker, Oklahoma State quarterback, 317 yards, two touchdown, Vernell Brown at Florida, two-pot return touchdowns, Dylan Riley running back, Boise State, 220 yards, two touchdowns, Fakari Swain, and make sure, make sure I got to get this right. I haven't checked the stats. Did he really have two-pot returns and a kick return for a touchdown tonight? He was also doing cartwheels in the end zone. And then I would add archmaning for the late drive, so that is seven. So I've got seven. So Blumman, if you have any despair, I would love to fill out my 8, 9, 10 with yours, but who give me your, oh, Charlie Becker, Charlie B from Nashville, Tennessee, even though I hesitate to do it because they played Howard, their cowards in the non-conference, but Charlie Becker's great. So I have no problem with that. Go ahead, Liam Blumman. Yeah, the best performance by any player day was on your list. That's okay, Oregon State, White or Silver True, freshman, Jesse LaGurie had eight catches for 240 yards and two touchdowns against Texas Tech. That was the best performance by anyone. It's sad that in the state of the sport, the kid is at Oregon State has no, the beavers have no hopes of keeping the skies just auditioning for NIL money this winter. So that's a cool thing. You can keep going with your list. I can. Okay. Tech saying them. It's defense. I was talking about Louisiana Tech's first half defense. Alonzo Jackson, Jr. had eight soul tackles, three sacks, three and a half tackles for lost. Jordan McCray has a hundred yard picks six bear boxmire in Austin Simmons. I'll add Austin Simmons. Austin Simmons. Austin Simmons. The way that they're offensive schemas, which is so much better than what Kirby Moore was doing. Shocker in Washington and state fans are all right tired of how Kirby schemes going in a poem and cool. Uh, it was like madden. It was a little speed cheese and just timing routes and layering down the sideline. It was fantastic to watch. Bear Bachmeyer. I've watched BYU play the game they played against Arizona. They 500 times. Every game ends the same way. Bear Bachmeyer might not be the prettiest quarterback. He might not have the most exciting stats. But when you need number 47, the most, he's number one on the field every single time. He has a 99 clutch rating. It cannot be dispute. Nate Shepherd on Duke, best kept secret in the country. The one star that stayed at Duke 29 touches for 148 and three the day. Um, and then, uh, Fameh Asha boy on, on Purdue. He's an exciting Ryan back Purdue fans. You want to talk about the sad sack of fans in the sport, Brandon? All right. I talk up the Ryan back and all they're doing is talk, talk me down because I said the Ryan back's great. Yeah. Yeah. No Purdue is, is, is where joy goes to die right now. It is truly a line. Yeah. Thank you very much. Liam, who was the most impressive team today in Coles football? I don't think it could be any one other than Texas in the fourth quarter. And we've talked so much about them. I think it can be somebody other than Texas in the fourth quarter. And I'm surprised you didn't, you didn't take this team. And Texas was great in the fourth quarter. And therefore they were great in the whole game because they beat Ohio State number one team in the country. So that is fantastic. And that is great. And that is amazing. I said it earlier, Oklahoma State didn't just beat Oregon. They didn't just, they beat him 3931. They beat the shit out of them. They had 500 total yards of offense. They could have had more points than they had. I think it's Oklahoma State. And if you're going to shit on them, and me, I'm talking to myself, if I'm going to shit on them last week when they absolutely shit the bed to open the season against Tulsa. Then you go, you go out to practice on Sunday. You go out to practice on Monday. You go out to practice on Tuesday. And are you a man or are you going to fix it? Are you going to come out and play better on Saturday? Holy shit. You got number three Oregon coming in. Number four, whatever they are, you got Oregon coming in. You can't beat Tulsa. And now you got Oregon coming in. You're fucked. You're done. You're over. You're finished. And what did Mr. Maker tell you? Did Mr. Maker tell you they had something in week two? He and he and I and Gina were talking, you know, it's like we got some special going in week two, and he responded 100%. So listen to Mr. Maker, he also somebody said he gave Oregon 14 points. Sure did. Sure did. And still they fought through it. They fought through it. They got through it and Oklahoma State. Even when they fell behind, I believe 31 30. You think, okay, well, Oregon pulled it out again. Boy, they they're flavor disaster, but they've got it right. They're going to win the game. Nope. Oklahoma State closes it and and and and and shuts down Oregon wins the football game. Oregon's got their own things they can deal with. But for what they did in week one to what they did now, I got to say Oklahoma State was the most impressive team of the weekend. Now there are other impressive teams that are blown out. Nobody's, but that impress is not always how you play that impresses me is how you get the fuck up that impresses me. And frankly, Michigan getting up the way they there was impressive too. I don't like Michigan, but they got up and they they they got up and they absolutely spit in Oklahoma's eye. And those bitches from Oklahoma just said, oh, spit. I guess I'll lose a football game today. Who was the most depressing team today, Liam? And I'm going to answer that question first. It is. In fact, the Oklahoma sooners. All you have to do Brent Vennivals is get a quarterback who can throw the ball a little bit. You have access to a level of talent very few programs have access to and you've used that to stock your defense and be a very good defense. You go to playoff last year and you come in this year with a senior quarterback and all this and you're going on the road to a team who needed a miracle to beat Western Michigan last week. A team who doesn't believe in their starting quarterback. A team whose coach has been there for about 20 minutes. Everything's going against Michigan. Everything. Nobody believes in them. Michigan fans didn't believe in them. They can lie and say they did. They didn't. They didn't at all. I saw more signs for Tommy Carr today than I saw for anybody else on Michigan's team. You know Tommy Carr is. They're fucking back up quarterback. They didn't believe in them. Nobody believed in them. And yet Oklahoma, yet Brent Vennivals in year five. You're still so piss poor of a coach. You can't get anything going offensively. You can't get even an inch going offensively. You lose to a guy who throws for 100 yards. You lose to a guy who completes nine passes garbage from Brent Vennivals. And he is not good enough to be the Oklahoma head coach. It's a top 10 program. He's a top 50 coach. Liam, who's the most depressing team to you? And why I didn't say Oklahoma stay in the most impressive team is because I was going to bring them up, bring Oregon up as the most depressing team. Why I was going to bring up Oklahoma as well. But after thinking this, I actually want to want to go with the team that one that played a really bad week one on Sunday that played an even worse week two on Saturday. But God away with the 16 of 14 win. The Washington Huskies played Utah State today. Do you know what Utah State did in week one? Not great. They lost by double digits to Idaho State. Washington top 20 team, surprise team in my opinion. I thought they were good enough to make the playoffs. Not at all. It's reminiscent of the Jimmy Lake days as head coach when they were so highly tall in the preseason. All they did was crash and burn and nothing good happened. The quarterback don't want to be there. The head coach don't want to be there. And I still thought, hey, I'm going to invest in this team because I have an addiction to jetfish coach teams. That's my problem. Washington is a dud this year. Do not invest. They need to stifle a Hail Mary against Utah State to get away with it today. They're depressing as it gets. Yeah, it wasn't good. I'm going to have one because I know nothing about this game other than the score. UNLV goes to North Texas and gets beat 44 to six. UNLV who I had high hopes for and I'm watching them in week zero against Memphis. I thought coming out there, they're both really good. And UNLV, Dan Mullins going to North Texas in week two and getting beat 44 to six. That's depressing as shit. Holy shit. Yeah, their trenches are garbage. Liam, what was the most badass thing you saw this weekend? Drew Mendoza, messed the maker, flipping into the end zone, putting the team on his back, showing how, hey, you guys got me. I got you. I'm going to deliver one of the best moments. Still water has seen and so long this this team, this fan base, they haven't seen anything positive for like two, three years since 2023. It's crazy. Messed the maker balled out from start to finish the 75 yard run that somehow only resulted in three points. The flip into the end zone, the cap it off. That's an NFL QB1. I'm so happy he's shined today. I'd like to. That was mine too. So fair, fair. There's a lot of options. Can I just say that Eli Drinkwood's reach with a green Greg today? Yeah. Is that badass or stupid? Is it, do we live in the worst timeline or the best timeline? Do we live in a timeline that I should celebrate or a timeline that I should go back to Mississippi and get out of this shit? Because coach drink, by the way, Missouri goes on the road beats Kansas last night. I'm going to get to the Kansas video in a minute. But Drinkwood's fucking feeling himself after that game. Absolutely fucking feeling himself about, you know, all of that. So, so, so yeah, I like that one. The hand up, I was wrong award and I'm going to let you choose because you have two options here. Three options and I'll explain the one that you pick, okay? Liam, do you think I was more wrong about the Oregon Ducks who I picked to win the national title? The Michigan Wolverine who I didn't believe in after week one or the Oklahoma Sooners who I did believe in. Which one do you think I was the most wrong about? Oklahoma. I will. Can I just say one thing? I'm going to talk about this Oklahoma and how wrong I was. Right Oregon off at your own peril. I know that I remember last year in week one, Alabama went to Florida State and lost to a wretched football team. They're just got beat, got beat to sleep. They ended up making the playoff, Alabama did. In this world, if Oregon gets a couple of get right games here and then can just get I wouldn't ride Oregon off at all. I know it was embarrassing, I know it was terrible. Oregon will probably still have a say in the big 10 going forward. I don't believe the same about Oklahoma. That's a bad football team. Oregon, I don't think is a bad football team. I think they're a good football team off to an awful start. Oklahoma is a bad football team. Oklahoma is supposed to be led by their defense and they couldn't contain Bryce Underwood today. Oklahoma has no hope. They get no separation with their receivers. They get no push with their offensive. line. They get nothing scares you other running backs and their quarterback will give you a turnover whenever you need it. And this is all from a team that believes that Brent Venables is the guy, they gave him an extension in the offseason. What a bunch of fucking morons run Oklahoma because that guy should be fired, not given an extension. And I spent the offseason drinking the cool aid and tucking myself into them. What a fucking idiot I am. What an idiot I am. That's the the wrong guest team. I've been Oregon. I picked them with an actual title. Good team off to a terrible start. Oklahoma. I picked to beat Michigan today and be in the mix to win the national title. They're garbage. That's a six win team at very best. Oh boy, having fun. Do you have a hand up? I was a homeward. Yeah. Two one Alabama losing to Kentucky. That's for both of us. Hand up brain dead there for the both of us. On Thursday, I brought up the Drew Meastemaker TikTok account. That account was apparently not his and was fake. So I got balls act. Can I say a third thing that you got wrong? And you know, I'm Mr. I got wrong things wrong. So I get things wrong all the time. Everybody gets things wrong. Can I? Why are people so angry? I like the people that make fun of me for being wrong. But then the people there like your family should die. I was like, wow, just relax. Just everybody chill out. It's fun that I get things wrong. It's fun that I pick Oregon and the national title. And they're already one and one. That's fun. If you're actually if you're actually angry about it, let's let's all just chill out. Where was I going with that? Anybody know? I'm scatterbrained. I told you that's going to be scatterbrained. You're scatterbrained. Yeah. Anyway, what are the what are the awards? So so the hand up I was wrong. And now the, oh, this is what you were wrong about. Did you? Did you have army as your as your as your lock this week? Well, I don't know. Nobody's I'm not in charge of locks or anything. I did think army was going to win. Then they blew a 10 point lead with two men's left. Well, that was your number one pick. Oh, yeah, I was on here. Yep. You're right. Yep. It was my three and a half. They're up 10 with three men's left. Lost out right. Shout out South Florida. Shout out South Florida going down. Is is my former guy kind of got some going down there? Van Buren? Yeah. Maybe, man. I'm salty about that game to say the least. Yeah. Yeah. Fair enough. Now we got the is looking going to be able to talk to me at all. Little is sick. He did Van Buren make right. They're on fourth down the one that came. So I got it. So, so winners and losers are sponsored. The winner of the weekend is sponsored by Reese's. Okay. Well, Reese. Hey, Reese is delicious. I'm going to do the Reese's winner of the weekend right now. Reese is one of the weekend. Reese's is the official candy partner of bar sales sports. Reese's is basically like the number one team in America right now. They're that good. They're that delicious. I was on the plane today. I had a handful of Reese's. It was fantastic. Go get Reese's wherever you shop. Once again, Reese's is the official candy partner of bar sales sports. If you're at the gas station, grocery store, drug store, wherever you go, this is what you want right here. You want that. That's just a perfect little snack. It's fantastic. So I'm going to give you the Reese's winner of the week. Liam, do you have your winner of the week, ready? Yes. It's pretty easy. It's Texas. It's Texas. And I know Oklahoma State got off the mat. And I know I know Michigan stuck it to people like myself. I know that. I feel that it's it's absolutely Texas. Texas needed a big moment. They needed a big game. Arch. Arch needed this. Sarc needed this. They all needed this. So fucking bad. Like Oklahoma state got their big win. But that might be it. Michigan got their big win today. Texas has plans to win a national title. And if they were to lose at home tonight, the way in the fashion, they were going to lose. It would have been a disaster. And they put it together. They come from behind and now they have the marquee win of the season so far. Texas, the easy Reese's winner of the week for me. Who's your Reese's winner of the week? Yeah, just going straight in the Steve Sarkiesha and how much he was feeling himself. The guy blew off ESPN for the halftime interview. They didn't know where they said he's running away. He's running off. They got the camera and the tunnel. He's just running up those stairs veering down the hallway. That what happened post game. The guy is still feeling himself after he was seeing ghosts in the background of a Jeremiah Smith catch post game. He blew off all the row. He was like, Hey, man, I'm going to go celebrate a team hook up and then Holly Rosley, what the heck Steve Sarkiesha and feel themselves having time his life. I have, um, we have this award. The what are we doing award? I used to be the shitless, but the what are we? What are we even doing out here? And then you can do as many as you want. By the way, you can do as many what are we doing as you want to do? But this is mine. I like this coach. I think he's a good solid coach. I think they're a good solid program. They got work today, but that happens when you play a team of Mississippi States caliber. Mississippi State wins 38 to 13. In the fourth quarter, I don't know if you were watching this game closely. Liam, were you watching this game closely at this point? In the fourth quarter, it was 38 13. Minnesota had a fourth and two from its own 37 yard line with about or about eight over about six minutes left. PJ Fleck putted the football. He putted the football and that was his signal that the game was over. And I thought, PJ, what are we doing? What are we doing? I don't really understand the game plan here. Why are you doing this? Why have you decided that this game is over? Because they were still Minnesota moved the ball in the second half. I guess I'm just I'm saying, what are we doing? But all I really want to talk about is Mississippi State football. Mississippi State football. We're so good. We're so good. Liam, we're so good. Have you seen how good we are? Yeah. I don't know. I don't know why you were tripping about this game. I was just I'm scared of my own shadow. I'm scared of South Carolina next week. I think South Carolina is really good. By the way, I got to check a score. See if I if I want any bets at all this way. Yeah. There's a score that is very key that would it would salvage my night. I haven't checked it in a while. So I'm just going to check it right here in front of God and everybody. And I'm sure the game is final because they may ask what game. Yeah, you can. But I got to find it first before I tell you because I don't I don't want to jinx what I'm doing. Okay. Okay. Fuck yeah. I parlayed Auburn minus 32 and a half and under 52 and a half. Wow. And they won 43 to eight. Wow. That's what we needed right there. That's what we needed. Okay. Did Sark get up, but by the way, was Sark? Did he get frisky on the on the post game tour? It was just the uh, what did he say in the post game? I don't know, exactly why he said, but he like kind of rushed out of it. They'll hook him and then hire out like, why is Sark? Why is Sark so goddamn goofy? Why why is he so? I think goofy's the wrong word. Yeah, goofy's a bad word. Why is he so? Is it prickly the word? Unlikable? Why has he still got him unlikable? I guess I'm thinking remember when they were coming out of the tunnel that one time and the guy touched him and he's like, don't you fucking touch me. Don't you fucking touch me. Why is he so goddamn unlikable? Usually I mean coaches or CEOs that run these big huge programs, they got to like have some personal skills. He doesn't have any. Like even Nick Sabin who was an asshole when he wanted to be an asshole had personal skills. All right, okay. What do we want to go around the country? Here's what I'm going to do for you Liam. I'm going to go around this country of the conferences and it's going to give you an opportunity to drop either some ball knowledge or some opinions from around the country. Are you ready to do that? Okay, okay, we could do that first, first trial at this, huh? Yeah, just uh, we're feeling this show out. We're we're making sure that we uh, we get our Saturday nights right. So I'm going to go to college football here. I'm going to go around the country conferences and I might even do the group of six conferences too, by the way. Oh, you're feeling yourself. Yeah, this isn't just going to be uh, so we'll start in the ACC. Clemson's still hanging on 16-7 looks like they're going to win. You know my thoughts? Yeah, Miami obviously uh, killed a family of the other 97-77 Louisville 59 villain over 13. I don't think there's anything we got to talk about so far. NC State 73 nothing. UVA 59 to three over Norfolk State. Boston College 28 Rutgers 21. Is it officially time to call Rutgers the worst power for football team in America? They got big matchup against Howard coming up and I I just want to say how blessed where we to be alive for Rutgers Boston College Friday and the Wake Forest Purdue Saturday. Not often you get four of the bottom dwellers playing each other like that. By the way, Wake Forest Purdue was was like compelling and good. Yeah. Yeah, like and plus there were there were points, there were good performances. But, Austin college Rutgers, if you watch that, just, dude, get some pussy or something. I don't know. I'll tell you. Oh, okay. Thanks. KJ Dough is unbelievable. One of the best freeers in the country in someone tweed. He's just Calvin Johnson Alliance, which is true. North Carolina, 35 Eastern Tennessee State for Easton. Yeah. Nobody saw a plane the entire game. Virginia Tech, 44, old Dominion, 21, the Orange Franklin, ain't going to be there in two years. The thing I felt about that one is with a legitimate head coach there, it feels like they don't have to worry about losing the ODU game again. That, like, losing the old Dominion game is always the tell that Virginia Tech is really bad. Oh, here's, here's one. And this is why we do this. So why I'm going around. How about Duke going on the road and beating Illinois, 31, 27, how about the D word, man? How about them still find a way to figure it out? How does Duke always figure it out? How does Duke keep losing guys and always figure it out? Can you tell me obviously how was the number one Duke guy last year? How did they not be Illinois? How did they not win more games? They win the ACC, Darry and Mensa was their quarterback. Miami's WR two was their star wide receiver, Nate Shepherd who's still there is still doing it. Their defense was great. I don't, I don't get it. You just chalked this one up to Manny Diaz might be one of the more underrated under appreciate coaches. He is consistently playing fourth a great product. I think that's exactly right. I think Manny Diaz is somebody that gets no credit that he might as well not even exist at Duke. And yet he does and he is still finding ways to have players and finally, finally doing these things. Cal, 21 Syracuse, 18 Steve Angely. Oh, yeah, it will pick the end that there's a couple of quarterbacks here. I have big hopes for and big thoughts about and we're going to get to another one in just a second who just wasn't that good today but ended up winning the game. And Jaleigh and then Cal ends up winning that game but then pit 12 UCF seven. Yeah. This would have been one of my overs of the day by the way. I'm telling you retroactively that I would have picked the over here because Hightill was going to throw for 400 yards and six touchdowns and UCF was going to score a lot to 12 seven your final score. Yeah, you're you're not in control of mother nature though. It was pretty wet SMU 56 10 over as at UC Davis and that might be 58 notes 56 Tennessee goes on the road kills Georgia Tech 45 24 Tennessee face on Brandon is kind of doing the thing down there the defense is scoring as we kind of go through the weeks and we start to to to weed out contenders and we lose Oklahoma as a victim of the SEC today Alabama looks good for a half Tennessee is just kind of looking along at that probably that seven to 10 range and nobody's talking about them and they might have something for those top level SEC teams. And my I mean I ferdick still out on on face on I guess he more he wasn't great today. Some games great Bishop is phenomenal offense line gets to it. But do you expect it to be great in this first road star I know it's no no no I don't I don't and I do see like I obviously do see how we'd be negligent not to I I think that Georgia Tech teams really bad in the big 12 Utah is currently beating Arkansas 36 to three. Yeah, let's let's pour one out for Arkansas. You got higher they made listen man. I don't know what Arkansas fans did to deserve this I really don't I I this is a proud program of proud fan base in the Houston nut days in the Bobby tree no days. They figured out ways to compete. Then Sam Pittman has the one decent year they win nine games. It was kind of fluky though he ends up turning back into a pumpkin and now the best they could have got is Memphis's leftovers Memphis immediately kind of gets better after relieves I I'm sorry Arkansas I am very sorry. Somebody says Brent key to Arkansas I'm not sure why they would want Brent key at this point. Also like really poor poor graphic that came up as Utah was up like 29 3 on Arkansas where it's just on ESPN to Ryan Silverfield quote paraphrasing here pretty much just said it's so much easier these days to flip a roster year to year and have a great team and they have three points. I got a bonus what are we doing right here Missouri 38 Kansas 21 and I guess it was cute and I guess everybody had fun with it. Dave had it as one of his highlights of the week. I don't know the Kansas thought through the slavery video I don't know if Kansas thought through what would happen if we go out and lose by 17 and they absolutely work us on our own field. I don't know if they thought if they thought through you know drink would go on a personal PR you know caravan afterwards shitting all over the state of Kansas shitting all over Kansas like it was funny and it gets everybody oh wow it's rooted in and then Missouri just beats the fucking shit out of them. So now are we as a college football pop list supposed to say slavery one I guess I guess slavery one guys you guys brought it up and then they beat the shit out of you. So what are we doing Kansas we didn't think that went through all right. Kansas state 34 Washington state 7 Liam let's talk about them it's Kansas state worth talking about yet. Yeah I had them in the big 12 championship of the beginning of the season I still stand by that I think this is really good on their appreciate team I think calling clients come in done great Avery Johnson made two or three really bad throws but he's gonna be more ball control run the rock a lot be safe with it they've got good playmakers and I think was who I like the head coach that they hired I just don't think he's a good head coach like I like the person I like the person he is I like the person he is I like his personality I think he's a bad football coach I think he's got a really bad offensive scheme their cornerback is throw a fiddle ray I feel like an air I feel like this year there were a lot of new coaches that got a lot more hype than Colin Klein at Kansas state I feel like it was almost low key just him going home and doing this thing and I think he's going to be a lot better than most of those coaches that got more hype I think he's going to be better than goalist at Auburn I think he's going to be better than Steinek and Tucky I think he's going to be better than a great number of guys maybe maybe some were all he's better than a lot of these coaches and of course you know Chesney at UCLA looks like he's the real deal and stuff but but keep an eye on Colin Klein there Texas A&M 4820 over Arizona state Oklahoma State 39 Oregon 31 West Virginia 52 TNM that's Tennessee Martin 7 we did pit BYU 28 Arizona 17 it was a close game for a while BYU ends up kind of outlasting their defense takes over in the second half want to think of BYU kind of asserting themselves over Arizona at home. Yeah they just wear you down physically obviously it's more difficult to do that against Texas Tech last few years but they wear you down very much Arizona was gasped by the event making mistakes Arizona lost their best skill position player to you behind Richardson the first half that hurtful feet a lot and BYU just rolled just realized I never checked did you ever check on our yes I did Liam what am I talking about you're talking about Northwestern State what what they do they got smoked they did yeah I think I could be wrong I looked at like four hours ago 20 plus I believe 38 14 comes to mind that could be wrong let's see Northwestern State football schedule they play weaver state next they lost of course to Louisiana Christian a couple of weeks ago they lost of course last week 80 to 6 to Louisiana Tech and today they lost to East Texas A&M 38 14 got shout out did you say dot for yourself yeah because I remember the score crack like a happy I like doing anything anything good in life is is dot now dot like like you're you're throwing your throwing your food bag away in the trash can dot deed since the 90 62 Western Carolina 10 Houston 77 Southern six I guess we'll probably have one or two more year one or two more weeks of these gigantic scores Iowa 16 13 over Iowa State and sidewalk let's stop there Dr. trophy let's talk about Iowa real quick although we're going to get to the big 10 a second but let's let's talk about Iowa real quick legitimate contender in the big 10 you think no no no no okay offensively they can't do it but when we had talked about this game going in okay call him a legit contender are they a problem a thorn in the side of the legit contenders can I do that I don't see what's different about this Iowa team then Iowa teams in the past aside from them having a legit of your one okay TCU 63 gramling 7 Baylor 44 Prairie View I think that's Prairie View 3 and then Texas I know you shot it out the receiver on Oregon State. I would argue the Texas Tech winning that game by 11 points. It's something that doesn't look that impressive coming in. Do you think there's an issue with Texas Tech? They got to figure out who their quarterback is. Is it Ham and is it Castellanos? Both of them played tonight. Both of them. I mean, if it's Castellanos, if it's Castellanos, they're not serious about winning a national. If it's Castellanos, they have a better shot at wing and national championship. And that's the sad fact. Of where we are today. They were both on the field at the same time. At times they were trying to figure it out. I think the bigger story here, while Texas Tech might not be that super good big 12 team that they were last year, Oregon State played two big 12 teams. They played Houston. They played Texas Tech two of the top in that conference. They held their own with both of them. And the first year of a new head coach, first time head coach, you're Marcus Shepard. You got, he's one of my winners of the week. Man, for him to get this ball club, this competent, this quickly, and playing up to some of the best in big 12 is very, very impressive. And it's like, they're no slouch. It's good physical, hard-nosed football with a great wide receiver with a hungry defense. They had Texas Tech on the ropes tonight. And then big 10, Michigan 17, Oklahoma 10. I know what to do with Oklahoma. I put them on the trash heap. They're a six and 16. I'm good with that. How can you make sense of Michigan? Is the defense going to keep them in every single game? Is Bryce under, you're not going to win a lot of games or Bryce under with their own for 100 yards. But is the defense so good? Are they going to just win every game? They want 13 to 12 and 17, 10 now. Is every game going to be played in the teens? Is every game going to be 15 to 12? Is every game going to be like that? The next time, I guess, I don't know who they'll play next week, but they got Iowa coming in a couple weeks still when that game. I'm just thinking about now, now that I'm thinking they have, they have Oregon coming at some point. I'm trying to remember the actual schedules. I know we have Indiana coming in. They have UTAP, then hosts Iowa, at Minnesota, verse Penn State, verse Indiana, at Rutgers, verse Michigan State, at Oregon, verse UCLA, at Iowa State. Boy, I mean, I just, I don't see where they're going to be able to extract offensive output. Like they were super cookie cutter today again. Yeah, it's a shame Oklahoma let that beat them, because that, yeah, Penn State 27, temple nine out of Penn State fan being like, admit you were wrong about us. They look like shit. They look good at all. I don't know why would Penn State fans be bragging? And in my DMs, like, you were wrong about us. We're good. Not really. That was a, that was a slap fest. That was nasty. Also, what do you say wrong about Penn State, didn't you say that they're going to take advantage of our schedule and be out sneaky playoff team? I did. I also had a voicemail. That's really harsh. I had a voicemail that said Penn State was on an upset alert. And for some reason, the entire Penn State fan base believes I said it. And I know that's intelligent. You deal with that a lot. Oklahoma State 39, Oregon 31, Washington 16, 14 over Utah State. The previously mentioned Washington Duke 31, Illinois 27, Mississippi State 38, Minnesota 13, Maryland 38, 14 over Yukon. The leaks of baller. Michigan State 35 Eastern Michigan 7 Nebraska 56 Bowling Green 7 Wisconsin 36. W. I.L. Western Illinois 9. Thank you very much. UCLA 28 to 10 over San Diego State. I did kind of like San Diego State's coach this week saying. Fuck it. Come on. Yeah, they got beat, but you know, whatever Texas 24 Ohio State 23, Iowa 16, Iowa State 13. We go to the South Eastern Conference, which, you know, we kind of hit a lot of these already. But if you want, if you have a take on these games, please give me something Missouri 38 Kansas 21. Still 36, three Arkansas down to Utah. Oklahoma Michigan, Texas A&M Arizona State. We mentioned Georgia 70 Western Kentucky 20. Mississippi State 38, Minnesota 13, Alabama 45 Kentucky 17. Vanderbilt 35 26 over Delaware Vanderbilt. Not good. Nope, not good at all. Brando 52, three Florida over Campbell. I believe Jaden ball 14 carries 136 yards to touchdowns. South Carolina cuts a problem. South Carolina 45 9 over 1000 Tennessee Georgia Tech. We covered Texas Ohio State. We covered LSU 45 14 over La Tech. Oh miss 41 9 over Charlotte LSU Ole Miss next week. And Auburn 43 8 over the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. All right. Let me pull up and make sure we get. We got left there. Look, got a couple, right? Yeah, Fox one in Vegas. I'll do Fox one real quick, and then I'll do Vegas. And then we'll start to wind down. I might turn to the chat in a second. Let's see. BFW swiftly moving past Oklahoma, Michigan's scared of Dave said. Michael Wells 89 68. Michael Wells, you magnificent dumb cunt. We literally spent 20 minutes on Michigan Oklahoma at the top of the show. I'm not going to stop every single time and spend 20 minutes on it. We did 20 minutes on Oklahoma, Michigan at the top of the show. If you show up an hour and a half in the show and be like, Oh, they're just now talking about Oklahoma, Michigan. You're very stupid. You're remarkably stupid. And I don't know why you get to be on the internet. You should be on the internet with the rest of us. Of course, now I get to tell you about Fox one. It all goes down at noon. Big teams, big plays. Big noon Saturday is streaming live on Fox one. Rivalries, upsets, chaos, whatever happens. You're watching a live football at noon. Streaming live on Fox one. Watch three days free. Big noon Saturday live on Fox one. Watch three days free offers or subjects to change. You see Fox one for complete terms and conditions. I believe next week is London, correct? Yeah. Who are the two teams? ASU Kansas. Here you go. London. Here's Kansas. Anyway, oh, I'm going to do this Las Vegas one as well. Las Vegas. You know where we're crowning a national champion this year, Liam? In my backyard. The road to Vegas, the college football national championship is there this year. And college football doesn't just end in Vegas. It's living in Vegas this season. There's no better Saturday than going out to Vegas finding you a great place. Well, great food, great people and watching an entire day and enjoying the action of college football. It is truly, truly, truly a phenomenal experience. It's the ultimate away game weekend. It's just an awesome place to go. Of course, we're heading towards Vegas. I think I'll be in Vegas for the national championship game. But that's neither here nor there. It's going to be an amazing ride to get to Vegas. College football is at its best in Vegas. And every game is a big game in Vegas. Check out Vegas. We all know Las Vegas. But you haven't really experienced it unless you've experienced a huge college football day while there. It's pretty damn awesome. BFW who are your updated Heisman Frontrunners? Great, great. We should probably do that at the end of the show every time. Austin Grebe. Thank you very much. He's a frequent flyer. I like Austin. He's a good guy. Top five Heisman just working out in my mind. And now it's goofy because some players just haven't played anybody yet. But I would still say Malachi Kaitoni who hasn't played anybody is in there. Am I being a homer to say Kamario Taylor? What? No, he's been one of the best players in the country through two weeks. Well, he'd be able to win the Heisman this year very likely not. Yeah. I personally think Jeremiah Smith came out tonight. A bigger Heisman candidate than he went in. Agreed. I think he was excellent. He was amazing. And if they leaned on him a little bit more in a second half, they probably win that game with ease. I would have to say based on the virtue of his last quarter and his drive. Archmaning is certainly a Heisman contender right now. I'm thinking of the other. He's hit crazy. What'd it be crazy? To say that messed the maker through his ring back in the Heisman hat today. Now, obviously Oklahoma State would have to win a lot of football games. But he showed that he is going to put up a lot of numbers and be a difference maker. Two, that means week one. Hopefully we just look back and it's a num in anomaly in a fluke. I they're going to put up points. Yeah, put up numbies. It's too early to do top five Heisman because again, like Gunner Stockton's played nobody. He's been awesome. And Georgia national championship pick looks so good. They've been so dominant. It looks really, really good. I will say, you know, I was making fun of some teams. I haven't played anybody, but like Indiana just looks, looks, looks strong again. Georgia looks really fucking good. Miami looks really fucking good. Like these are when you play these teams, you need to show zero weakness. And that is exactly what's happening with a lot of these teams. So hey, I just got here. Western Michigan beat Michigan. Thank you, Fred. You're exactly right. So from week one to week two. was as stark a difference as I can remember in my entire life for some teams. Oklahoma State to from week one to week two, Michigan from week one to week two, all of these things. Who knows what we're going to get from week two to week three. Liam, any guys, players, coaches, anything we haven't said yet that you want to shout out about week one or week two, excuse me. No, I think the one thing I would like to hone in on is Northern Illinois made one the worst decisions of realignment when they left the Mac to go to the Mount West. And then today they end up starting their season. No one too shocked or they're going to have a brutal time in the MWC. They paid in state rival Illinois State of the FCS, great FCS team top five in the FCS, pay them a few hundred thousand dollars to come in their place, kick them in the butt with the laws like Northern Illinois made such a terrible decision. I don't understand why. You know, um, scatterbrained again, I was about to, it's okay. We were talking, I think I'm mostly sports the other day about what are the games that show you how ridiculous conference realignment is. And it can be, you know, Cal and NC State or Stanford at Wake Forest, stuff like that. Do you realize there's a conference game in the Mountain West in November where Hawaii travels to Northern Illinois? That's not good. The one that was in my brain was that we already had was last week Sac State at Eastern Michigan. Northern Illinois will host Hawaii in November as in a conference football game. Yeah, that's not, that's not right. Um, that's not right. All right, overall, yeah, I'm just going to do it one more time for people who haven't been here very long. Overall winter of week two, go Liam. Steve Sarkieson, sassy, god done one in big game. And my overall winter for week one or for week two, excuse me, I keep saying that for week two, my overall winter is the Texas Longhorns. They face death tonight. They face defeat. They face embarrassment. They face scorn. They've faced all of that humiliation. And what did they do? They came back in one. My biggest loser of the week, the Oklahoma Sooners, they lost the week, just a garbage performance, a garbage offensive effort, a garbage garbage garbage, uh, fifth year start for Brent Veneville's you go to a team that need a miracle to beat uh, western Michigan and you put nothing together offensively. You've got a big time schedule coming down the pipe. And I think Oklahoma solidified themselves today as a six and six football team Oregon, also a loser, but I still think there's something salvageable there. I don't think Oklahoma is salvageable. All right. That was a good, uh, good recap. Good stuff. Um, I appreciate all of you watching uh, somebody says West point. Oh, and three. Yeah. West Point first ring in two decades, man. Yeah. Yeah. No. We got a new coach this year. We got first rebuild in two decades. We played tough as scheduled in the state. So it's it's okay. We played starkful and we'll play two below the air. But you're not learning. You're not learning from college football. There's no point to be playing tough, non-conference schedules. We're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we're, we'll, we've been to 10 straight state championship games. Hopefully we'll go to 11. Um, all right. There we go. Um, all right. I said your thing. SSO stop spamming it or we'll have to get rid of you. All right. I said your thing. Um, get off the Oregon train. They stink. See that's, that's the kind of shit. Stop saying it. Like Michigan lost the Western Michigan last week. They ended up winning today. Like teams can stink in week one and be great in week two. They can stink in a week two and be great in week three. It's in there somewhere. Um, all right. That's it. Thanks. That's the Brandon Walker college football show. Peaks in the valleys. And this is where the music plays.
