Telling family I’m pregnant, gender reveal, & transition from 1 to 2

Aloita ilmainen kokeilu Shopify piste komsi vustolla. Sillä asiat hoidetaan ja meidän liiketoiminta me hoituu Shopify'ssa. Kokeilu! Kokeilu oli se, että olisi pyöräilyvaruste. Ja, se olisi pyöräilyvaruste. because he was telling me to wear it anyway. I already had the purple eyeshadow. I said, perfect, we'll just even it on the other side. - That's funny. - No, it wasn't a big deal, but look, it was shocking. - Yeah, that's just. - That was a great problem. I sent a picture to Matt and I said, I just sent a picture, no, 'cause he called me right away. I was like, "What happened?" I was like, he was a golf club. - Love golf club. - A golf club incident. - Yeah. My hope is that I am, I have like a biggest career. Project, I have essentially ever worked on. That is literally so, so around the corner. - Yeah. - A week away. - Wow. - By the time that this goes live. - Oh my gosh, it's crazy. - That it is, it's like I am feel so in over my head, totally like to be honest. But I'm also just like so ready for it to just like exist publicly, even though I'm like so scared about it because it's been such a long time coming. - Yeah. - Because conversations first started in 2022, but then like seriously like putting things into place was over two years ago. And I never thought it would take that. You know, it's one of those things that you never think it would take that long. - Right. - And then in my mind, just with the amount of time that it has taken, it is just building up and making it more nerve-wracking. - For sure. - Yeah, like it's not that big of a deal, but it is a big deal. - Yeah, I'm proud of, I'm so proud of the project. I'm proud of myself too, but also I am proud, but also there's been so many people that have helped it get to this point that I'm like I'm proud of all of us. Not just like me for like doing this, but it's been crazy. And it's crazy the timing of it all, like transparently was supposed to be a thing in November of last year and then series of events have occurred and that wasn't gonna happen anymore. And then now I'm like wow, it's coming right before baby. (laughing) - Different type of baby, but yeah, so many big things. - I'm so excited for you. - I am excited and scared and sweaty, but. - That's life, that's what makes life fun. - It is crazy the timing. Adi and I were talking about when we launched, always hear we kept saying like the timing is just perfect. Like this is no better timing. And then now I'm just back and looking back and like, we were so postpartum, grieving and postpartum, pregnant, like literally Christmas time. - It's like literally, horrible time. - But like great time. (laughing) - That's just never right time, but yeah, it's funny that you got another big thing coming at another big milestone, but honestly, like this is how we do it. Like if you got big things coming, just keep the big things coming. - Keep them coming. - Keep things rolling. - You never know with life, just gotta keep it rolling. - Just gotta keep it rolling. - So here we are. - Yeah, I'm so excited. I can't wait to see. Did they cut that out of the last layer of things? - I think it's been cut out of a lot of things. I just have been running my mouth and like, I actually can't do that. And I'm like, but why? - The amount of time is a big cut out. Yeah. - I've like talked about it, and then it's like, hey no, and I'm like, I thought I was in charge. - Right. - Isn't this my thing? - I am not in charge. (laughing) - The power's the VR. - You know what? It's good to have a team. - No seriously. - Yeah, so seriously. - It's good. Well that's a great hope. - I'm so happy for you. - I feel like I am excited for the next couple weeks and just everything that we have going on. So many birthday parties, babies, celebrations, trips, planned, so it's just gonna be like a really fun. I think this summer overall has been amazing and I've been really grateful with how it's been going. I'm excited for it's headed. I just got back from a 24 hour trip to St. Louis with my family, which was really fun. I just went by myself, which was, oh my gosh, so peaceful. Like flying by yourself, 'cause even like married, you know, you're just not flying alone all the time. It was so, I was like, wow, I got a lot done on the plane. It was just wonderful. - It was so quiet. - It's just a different experience. Like it's so fun with kids because you're cuddling them, you're playing, you're like having snacks, you're talking, you're energy's up. But then there's the flip side of it when you're by yourself. It's like I'm reading a good book. I'm like editing stuff on my computer. I'm watching a movie, I sleep. Like it's just a different experience. So it was really fun. - Getting to choose how you spend your time. - Yes, totally. - Great. - It's a luxury. So my dad had his 50 years at his radio station and they did a big concert for him. And at the end, we got to go out and surprise him with this award from the city and a cake. And they put me in charge of bringing the cake and presenting it. This cake was really heavy. It was like a multi-tier cake, solid, like head support. - Yeah, and I'm, yeah, my dad. - Fondant, was there fondant on there? - Yes, it was a beautiful cake. So heavy. And like over six minutes, I stood out there just holding it out like this. Just sobresting on my forearms and the backstage guys, 'cause my dad was giving a speech and he talked for a long time. Not a long time, but like a little longer than I was expecting. It was a great speech, like it wasn't too much, but I just wasn't expecting to hold the cake that long and the stage managers ran off and were like, "Oh, and the heck was you holding that cake that long?" It ran out and got it from me. It was heavy. But I could not drop it. - Did you like wrap it up, dad? - But it was really fun. It was so fun seeing my family. And yeah, so I'm excited to go back in a couple of weeks. - I'm always so amazed at the differences between our dads. - Because it's not like my dad's a public figure. - Like my dad's a thought of him talking on stage. - Uh-huh. - I mean, it just simply comes back to me. - I know. - Well, yeah, that's funny. That's just reminded me of, we're throwing him a birthday party this weekend. He has no idea about it. He probably doesn't want to know about it. - No, he can't. - Yeah, he can't. - Yeah, he doesn't want to, he literally won't show up. - No one will know that it's his birthday party, either. - That's exactly how he wants it. - I don't know how I have happy his DNA, honestly. - It's the same way for Blake. - I did a surprise party for him once with his friend showing up and he was really calm. - He was like, please, no. - He was like, "I was like, are you okay?" - Okay. - He's like, "I just thought we were going to hang out with a family." I was like, "Well, your friends are here to help your friends." (laughing) - Caleb doesn't really like surprises, either. And it's not that he doesn't like the surprise itself. He just has to mentally prepare for things. - Yeah, I think so. - Like he can't enjoy it if he hasn't mentally prepared. To me, that's a curse. I'm like, "Let me just add it." - You know what I mean? - Let me just try and just experience it. - That's so funny. - Yeah, the difference is. - That's really fun. - Father's Day was fun. Did you guys have a good Father's Day? - Yeah. We were traveling all day. - Yeah, one hour drive, two hour flight, three hour layover, and then another two hour flight. Three minute drive, how was that? - It was fine. I mean, our kids are easy to travel with now, but I mean, I was like, this is hard for me. - Certainly my last flight. - Right. - I'm not doing it again. And if someone asked me to get on a plane, I have no backbones, I might get on a plane, but I really don't think so. - Yeah. - I'm almost 30, I mean, I'm 33. So I'm like, if someone asked me to get on a plane before 36, I'm really, it would have to be very, very dire. - Immersion, yeah. - 'Cause it was just a lot, but that was our Father's Day, but we went home and I had like little balloons in a card format, and I got 'em like a gift, but then we had my dad over too, and we just had like something small. 'Cause I was like, I don't have the capability to do anything else, but just a small, I was like, I wanna see you, dad. And so that was fun, but it was just small and sweet. - Good, that's fun. We had a great weekend. We had a lot of quality time. We did the workout on Saturday, the dad and the kids. - It was cute. - It was really cute, and CJ and Kale both had so much fun. Kale was really grateful that I signed him up for that. And then our gym that we go to had like a father. - Yeah, kids, yeah. - Kids work out. - It was really cute. And then we had lunch with some of our friends after at the coffee shop, which is fun. And then on actual Father's Day, I made Kale those lemon blueberry sweet rolls that are so good. - I showed that recipe. - They're good. You probably make them better than me, 'cause I'm not the best at a dough. But, and you have to, I actually think now, you have to double the filling, 'cause there wasn't enough blueberry filling in it. But unbelievable. And I made him this other ambitious kitchen recipe that he requested. It's a white chicken chili pumpkin cornbread pie. - He was in the fall mood. - Yeah. - That's his favorite season. Yeah, it was really fun. We walk out and feel-- - He doesn't love pumpkin. - He does. He's a big pumpkin guy. So it was fun. We just had so much quality time, which Kale doesn't get full weekends off like that very often. - That's sweet. He felt celebrated well, which was-- - I should also say what we wanted. - The reason we were traveling was 'cause we had just gone to Florida with our friends. We never talked about that, but we went on a beach trip with our friends. I'm sad that you guys weren't there. - I know. - Honestly, three families was plenty of families. - Would you do it again? - Yes, it was so fun. - Okay, good. - And actually Matt was saying, he's like, between Hawaii, Tahoe and Florida, which are like the three family vacations you take recently. He's like, honestly, I think I had the best time in Florida. - Good. - And it's just fun to like be with friends and everyone has kids. And that was on my bucket list of like traveling with friends. And I was like, I already want to do it again. And, but I do think the more kids you have, the less families you can have together. 'Cause I'm like, pretty soon too might be enough, fam, enough people, 'cause there were seven kids. So there was a baby, a one year old, two two year olds, two three year olds, and a four year old, seven under five. And it was a pretty small house. 'Cause we wanted to stay right by the beach and the houses are really tall, but they're like, so there's three stories, but it was just like narrow. - Right. - And the volume level, a couple of times we're like, "We have to turn on a movie." (all laughing) - The volume level is crazy here. - And it was so fun. It was just chaotic. There was sand everywhere. There's so much poop. I can't even explain it. Like there was poop. - There was many diapers. - So many. - Actually, I guess a lot of those kids are part of your train. - Yeah, but they're still poop. (all laughing) - There was still poop and poop problems. - Yeah, it happened. - Too much poop then there was constipation and there was just a lot of poop happening. - Yeah, funny. - And it was just fun because everyone, that was there was like, yeah, yeah, good news. Like, you know, again. And we're like a breakdown because of sand or just like everyone just knew. And so that was fun. - For sure. - The kids kind of entertain each other. My kids certainly couldn't sleep because they were just so jazzed. And I was like, wow, here you are again. Go back to bed, like we just kept, 'cause we kept talking about, we're like, please get out of here. - The kids go to bed, like the adults, the parents are gonna get to have fun. And then I was like, - Kids go to bed at 10 p.m. - Kids go to bed at 10 p.m. Everyone's exhausted. - Yeah. - But it was fun. - Play a lot of tans. - Yeah. - Well, actually the husbands play a lot of tans and then I joined one game. - Sure. - And I just had to smack talk them all because it's just got really competitive. - Did you win? - Almost. - Literally, I was gonna win the next turn. - Cute. - And I feel like they kinda ganked up on me, honestly. My own husband backsed at me. (laughs) - I know, I was actually kinda mad, I was like-- - The whole people. - I was like, you're kidding me, right? And I feel like I was about to win. - I literally was, but-- - Wow. - Anyway, it was really fun. It was a good time. - Did it. - I wanna go back to that area. We went to 30A and it was so fun. It did feel like I was jumping in a pot of soup, though, because it was so humid and so hot. Like as soon as we'd walk out to go on a walk, I was soaking wet and I felt Florida. - Florida is so good. When you go from Arizona, which is one extreme to Florida, which is another extreme-- - I got a nosebleed. - insane, from the humidity. - No, from going back to Arizona after Florida. - I never get nosebleeds totally. - And I was like, it was just like, probably like 100% humidity to like zero percent. My body was like, what's going on? (laughs) When I went, I went to Florida for my, one of my best friends, Bachelor at parties, right after we moved here. And I've been running here in the desert and I went for a run there. And I was so unwell, the amount of sweat that came out my body. I was like, I literally look like I jumped in a pool with my clothes on. - It was gross. - Unbelievable. - It's gross. - It's a difference. - We went on a lot of walks and I was like, I am discosy. - Yeah. - I couldn't wear like a cute little tank top either. I was wearing like a t-shirt and then I was just like, sticky me. - A-ha. - And I was like, oh yeah, yeah. - So spooky. - Thank you Shopify for sponsoring this portion of today's episode. Start on when we can both talk about? And then I can go into Andy C. - Andy C. - I'll do, we'll end with love. - I don't like it like DCC, there are any updates. - I agree. - Like that kind of big thing. - Is that there wasn't really much. - Yeah, it was just entertaining a watch. - Yeah. - But I didn't think there was like a storyline to speak about. - No, I didn't think there were like any big characters. Like faith was probably the biggest one. - I like doing Australian and New Zealand. - And Reese, I actually haven't watched last episode but I know that she retired. - She does retire. - Yeah. - So if you can tell that through the episode, congrats on her retirement. - She retired. - Yeah, she retired. - She retired from DCC. They might move back to Alabama. - Yeah, so that's exciting for them. - No, I think that's exciting. - Yeah, I was entertained by it and think anything like. You know, I feel like last year it was tumultuous for them but the storyline of them trying to get more money was really interesting conversation. - Yes. - Because I think there was a lot of split opinions on this. - It was interesting how they referenced it in this episode of being like last year. - It was like rough. - Yeah. - And I'm like, wow, like yeah, they said that but they didn't really say too much of how bad it was but they're like making it seem like last year was like. - Yeah. - Really? - What, on the team? - Yeah, I remember last year they fought for higher wages. And so this season they kind of referenced back. There was, at any time they talk about the season before. They were like, yeah, it was, you know, last season. Referencing, it was a really high tense stressful season. - Among the team or among the teams? - The higher. - The team too. Because I think some of them were advocating for more and some of them were like, just let it be like. - Yeah. - And then it's like kind of split the team a little bit. - It can feel like you're disrespecting people because you're going to the higher ups to try and get the higher. - I can see that being hard. - It would be super hard. Especially on a team that big, there's so many dynamics they're at play. - Oh yeah, oh yeah. - So yeah, that was like an interesting season to watch but I thought this season was, it was just a good entertaining, easy to watch but nothing like crazy. - Yeah, pretty quick. Trigger warning, we're about to talk about internal instinct and the details about the case and it does imply involve violent crimes against a pregnant woman and a child. We were going to discuss this. So skip it if you need to but just a heads up. - My turtle instincts though, whoa. - No, the only thing I heard was in our family group chat. Blake never does this. But my brother was like, he texted the family group chat. He was like, by the way, don't watch this. My mom was like too late and I was like, what happened? And they're like, it was bad. I was like, but what happened? And they're like, wouldn't say anything. - Well, let's, are we going to spoil it? - Let's get to the trigger warnings. Yeah, we're going to spoil it. We're going to spoil it alert that we're going to talk about everything that happens on this documentary. - I don't, I can't not going to watch it. - No, yeah, I figured. And we will say there are trigger warnings of like crimes against pregnant women. - Multiple? - One man. - One woman. - One woman. - Yeah, crime against a pregnant woman. The crime being murder. - Yeah, sorry to say it lightly, say it like that. - To say it lightly, the crime being murder. - Homicide. - Let's just say I spoiled it within the first two, two minutes of the, because I thought that was new. - Wait a minute. - How did you know? - Probably, they cut the baby out of her. She cut, or she, yeah. - Oh my gosh, wait, say this again. - She took, so that's what I thought, like, knew that. He's like, she is blood on her shirt. So it starts with the police officer going to her car. - Uh-huh. - Because you have to pull over for speeding. And she has this baby. And then, like, she has blood on her. I'm like, yeah, she cut a baby out of someone. And then, like, goes, oh, Eddie. (laughs) - Spoiled it in the first minute. - I thought he knew. - I thought he knew. - I thought he knew. - I had never heard this story before. - I have not heard this. - Okay. - So what I knew. - But. - It's intense. They're in this really small town. - Wait a minute. - Is this a reenactment? - No. - No. - Okay. - No, it's all, like, real footage. - That made it less scary, I feel like. - And yeah. - No. - Yeah, you didn't see anything. - Okay. - And you just talk about it. - Yeah. - And they have, like, the footage of her, all the body cam footage, but you don't see any of, like, the brutality of the incident. - Yeah. - But it's just so interesting hearing because the girl, I mean, it's a really small town in Texas. Kale booked it up. The population's like 5,000 people. And everyone in this town knew that this girl, what's her name? - Shoo. Taylor. - Yeah. - This girl Taylor is a psychopath. At 21 years old, she had a historic to me. And, like, everyone-- - And the two kids? - After two kids. And she just, like, she's the type that couldn't keep friends, like, bounce from friend to friend. - Wait, that makes her a psychopath? - No, but-- - Just, here we go. - Everyone just knew that she was a pathological liar. And people did not like her. She had a lot of enemies. She did not have a lot of friends in town. So then she started saying this guy, Wade, who lives a little outside of town, and starts telling him, like, oh, yeah, I'm getting all this money from my family. I'm gonna get $8 million. She tells everyone that she's, like, gonna come into these large sums of money, but her crazy mom, like, is tricking her out of this money. Okay? So she always has a reason that she's not getting it. She almost scams her way to getting, like, $20 million with her property, like, something really crazy. And then it's, like, just very extreme. Then Wade and her kind of have, like, not the best relationship. So she kind of-- she starts to fake a pregnancy. And she starts posting about it online a lot. Like, she's-- - But she told everyone-- - But she had a historic to me. So she didn't tell people-- - She didn't tell anyone. - It happened when she was younger and only a few people knew about it. - And her town-- - Oh, but she did have a historic to me. - Yes, she did. - She had an act of-- - She had an act of an act of a pregnancy. And they gave her, they did a historic to me. - She's very public on Facebook. Like, she gifted her Wade's mom, her, like, boyfriend's mom, a new car, and made a big post about on Facebook. And then two weeks later, the car got repaid. So she's just very much, like, does things to put online to get attention and, like, praise. - Okay. - So she starts posting about this pregnancy that she's having with Wade. And they've only been together for a couple months. And these, for her ex-friends from this town are like, she cannot be pregnant. She had a historic to me. The doctors, it's such a small town that all the people that are in her medical practice are like, they interview them. They're like, we knew that she was lying because she had a historic to me, but because of-- - Hippo, we can't show them. - And so it's interesting. Everyone's been watching her these nights, nine months, and she's going along. She's having gender reveals parties. All these people are telling Wade, her boyfriend, and their family that she's not pregnant. And they're like, no. And it's so, she goes to extreme lengths. And I think everyone in their head was just like waiting to see what she was going to do. - Yeah, like, she's going to-- - Obviously, you're going to have to fake a miscarriage or lose the baby somehow. - And she never did. So then the hospital alerted the hospital and was like, hey, we need a abduction plus ability. - This is really high, locked down all the babies like for until she. - 'Cause she's gonna steal a baby from the hospital. - So, so crazy. Isn't that insane, Charles? - So, with that, she's 41 weeks pregnant now. Still, in all of this. - No, she was 17 days past her due date. - I can't wait to see where this is going. - Oh yeah, she was more than that. She was 17 days past her due date and was hanging on. - Yeah, no one's ever been pregnant that long and it's been safe. And also keep in mind Wade, her partner, has not seen her. - He hasn't seen her naked for 10 months. - For this, for 10 whole months. Yeah, she was 10 months pregnant, Wade. - Yeah, and she was saying that she didn't feel comfortable and stuff like that. - Yeah, she would go in her bathroom for hours every day and just like lock herself in there. - Yeah. - She had two other kids. - Two other kids that aren't really in the picture. - They live with her, they live with her mom. And so, that is why her mom kind of puts up with like her telling all these bad things about her and like the line of the pregnancy. - She's like, I want these kids. Like she not have these kids. - Wait, she puts up with who's saying bad things about her? - Like her mom. - Why did her mom tell anyone that she's lying? Like why would the mom not step in? And it's like because she didn't want to lose custody of the kids. - The good kids. - Oh, she could take that away. - Yeah. And so then it comes down to it. She has this one friend, Reagan, that was like a really good friend to her and was trying to support her even though like, you know, encourage her and Reagan was pregnant. And yeah, yep. She murdered her. - She murdered her and the baby. - And the baby. - And it was pretty horrible. - Yeah, it was really horrible, horrible ending. - Horrible, horrible, while she's alive takes the baby out of her. - And her three year old was at the house. - Yeah. - That was the craziest part to me. I'm like no one in this, no one in this story has like got off scoffery. Like it's so insane. So luckily Taylor got the death penalty. - Yeah. - I'm like she deserves that one. - I'm actually not. - She's the youngest person on the top. - Even for that. - Yeah. But I don't need to get on that soapbox right now. I feel like I have mixed feelings about it, but with that I was like, yeah. - I mean, I'm not going to mourn that, but wait a minute. - So double homicide. - Yeah. - Yep. - Horrible. - So she cut this baby out. She was looking up how to perform a c-section. - Yeah. - And how to scoffable. - The woman is. - In digital. - I mean, just really sick. - So sick. - Yeah. - They just studied her brain. - Yeah, they did. - She took the baby. - Or they did placenta is connected. She's driving to the hospital. - With the placenta. - With the placenta she jumped to placenta in her pants and is holding the baby and is driving to the hospital. And a cop pulls her over 'cause she's driving really well. - Oh, Radically. - Oh, Radically. - You guys, I could have gone my whole life out knowing this story. - She was doing that. - She said not. - Oh. - This show. - This is, like, so much work. - I'm so glad I know. - It was really good. - Because that is crazy. - It's really brutal. I mean, we should give a stronger trigger warning before, we'll go back and get a stronger trigger warning in this room. - I think this is a stronger trigger warning. - It's insane. Yeah. - I was really triggered warning. - I'm so sad about this baby. I'm literally about to cry right now. - I was crying. - I was crying too. It was so insane. And the fact, I don't know, just this whole town, I think it's, I think the big conversation is like, how these people, there was no one's fault except her fault. - Yes. - But like, no one in this town really said anything. - We go figure it out. Like, their friend figured it out and knew and was like trying to-- - They were like trying to tell Wade. - Wait, it's just not first. - Yeah, you can just tell. And I don't mean any offense to Wade, but you can just tell he's probably not like the most educated, like, and I also think in his mind, he probably just didn't really care. Like, you didn't like her at all. You can tell he didn't like her. - Oh, no, you didn't like her. - Because this was in Texas. - Yeah, and like a really small town. - You can tell he didn't like her. And in my head, I'm like, he probably is just like, well, if she thinks she's pregnant, I'll just wait and to see what she does. I know she's not. - But like, was this 2020, not the fact that she already, wait, she's been, I already didn't execute it. - No, I don't think so. - I was gonna say that doesn't work that fast. - No, no. - That's the thing, yeah. - She's gonna throw all of her appeal. - She's the youngest, her son will be alive. - Youngest woman on death row in Texas. - Wow. I mean, that's just such an emotional, like, of course, they're gonna give a really strong, I mean, that's, I have no words. - Yeah. - That, I will literally, and I'm not okay, and I just heard you guys retell this word. - I know, don't watch it. It's, that is a sharp turn from DCC, guys, wow. - We're gonna switch it to love Island. - No, all right. - Let's look around. - We'll go down and then up again. - Yes. - But everyone on the internet is talking about this case. I've seen, I've seen a lot of different questions. - I've seen zero. - My gosh. - Well, I've seen most of them take talk. I think in my head, I understand these people never thought she would like murder someone. - How do you, I'm, I'm normal mind just doesn't go there. - No one would think that. - And if someone said that they'd be like, come on. - No, literally. - She was gonna kill somebody. - She's not evil, right. - Well, she's going to the, she's in the hospital with the police officers, and she's like, I just had a baby. - You make a doctor go in and check her. - They made a doctor go in and check her, and he's like, which he shouldn't have said this. This is something I saw. He technically shouldn't be saying what he said because of HIPAA, and even though the doctor hurt, like with the police officers all just standing around, she goes, she didn't have a baby. - Oh yeah. - She did not just have a baby. - Oh, interesting. - He was like, she shouldn't have said it like that because like, they need to document that and then that'd be the process of it. 'Cause now HIPAA, they just told everyone who's around them that this happened. I don't know. - I don't know. - We were right at that point. - She's a prisoner at that point. - You know what I'm saying? - Sure. - Correct your way they guess. I don't know. It's insane. Like, it was really, it was, I think it's really crazy and hard to think about people just like actually being evil like that. And I know it's true and they exist. But it's just so outside of the realm of the norm. It's just hard, just hard to believe sometimes. - Did she testify? - They didn't give her a voice number. - Not in the documentary, but in court, has she testified for herself? - They didn't make it seem like she did. - I don't think so. - They didn't show any of that. - I'm sure her lawyers are like, don't need to show anything. - Don't say words. - I don't know if she expresses any type of remorse. - It didn't seem like it. - I don't think she thinks. - I don't think that doesn't earn her anything in my mind, but honestly I'm glad she doesn't, I can just say your brain isn't functioning. - Right. - I can just say that and I can not think that whatever. - Yeah. - That is. - That's our while it's crazy. - I like true crime, gosh. - With him and me. - Does it feel like true crime if you know the ending? - Yeah. - Oh yeah, okay. - That's kind of true crime. - No, a lot of them are like, you know the whole thing. - Okay. - I'd rather know the whole thing. - I don't listen to that. - It's a little bit like. - Actually yeah, it's true. I never would have really, if it's an open case, it's less good. - Yeah, it's less good. Yeah, we're all bad. - We're all bad. - So love Island Addy. - Well, I would like to give a recap. - Okay, well it's so hard 'cause this is gonna be coming out next Friday, which by so many things, there's gonna be one, two, three, four, five, six, seven more episodes by that time, two. - But I will give my update from right here right now. We're in the middle of class. - Maybe some of our behind listening. - If you're behind? I'm in the middle of class at night, two or three, they just played the game where they had the two ratings things and the bill is for competing against each other. That's where I'm at. - Guys, is it bad? - Still so much kissing, so much making houses. I'm also watching UK, so again, I'm comparing it to UK where it's just so much better. The challenges in UK are like, this person's body count is this, or this is something this person said is a red flag for them. - So challenges where you're learning something about these people and their character, rather than-- - No, I do what it says. - That's such like an intimate thing to share at the world. - I thought you were saying that that was like, no less class. - No, it's better than these slime challenges and make out in the slime pool. - Do you feel weird washing it with your husband? - My brother. - Oh, well, those parts. - Yes, I'm like-- - I have friends though that are like, I don't let my husband watch Love Island because they are like, boobies and giddies out. (laughs) - I will say, okay, if we're talking about the challenge from last night, so it's Casamore. What this means is that the boys all leave the house and go to a different house, and then there's new girls that come in to that house, and there's new boys that go into the other house. They have like three nights, they're getting to know these people, and then they'll recouple. So they decide, they each decide if they want to stay with their couple they were before, or be with a new person. But they don't know what's happening in the other room. They don't know what their couple's doing on the other side. So that's what we're in right now, it was Casamore. This challenge was wild. So they're competing the villa in Casamore, or competing against each other. They are, each person spends this little wheel, and then they get a ball that says their action, they have to complete. So someone's was dance. Someone's is kiss, someone was lick, someone was suck, someone was tickle. - Tickle. - And then they pick who they want to do it with, and then both villas are doing it, and then the judges, what are they judging? - Who are these judges? - One episode I was like, these challenges are stupid. Who are the judges, but they're showing it at this real time of the scale, the scales getting up to whoever wins the challenge. All these girls are like dancing and shaking booty and doing all this stuff, 'cause they're trying to win this challenge, so they don't care what's going on. Their dresses are coming up, you're seeing whole booty cheeks, your boobs are coming out. They're like censored, but it's like, even Blake, which he's a lot of the time, obviously he's not watching intently. He's like, oh my gosh, he never has verbal reactions. He's just like, this is so stupid. And he's like, I did not believe this is happening. Like, that they're showing that much. Like, it was just-- - Does love Island do like a social experiment sometimes? Like, well, how far will people go? - Kind of like they were so far. - Like how far will people just do what they're told? - Kind of us. - You know what I mean? - Yeah, maybe. Because you're like, you maybe don't want to do that. - Or there'd be these guys who are like, I want to go back to my couple, or this girl, that was like, I know I want to go back to my couple, but they're still making out and doing this in this challenge, 'cause it's challenge and you gotta do it. And they're making out other people, even though they have a girlfriend in the house. - Yeah, and they want to go back to that person. Like, they know they're not going to couple up with one of these people. Yeah, and then at the end, they're like, okay, the last challenge, freestyle, and then everyone goes up and it's just like a big, orgy-looking thing. Like, they're always making out with you. They're like making out with each other, switching, lying. - And then they're people judging it? - Yeah, the bill of one. - What are they judging? - Who knows? - Who freaking knows? - That is crazy though. - So, anyone who hasn't been watching - Well, there be a point where she stops watching. - No. (laughing) - You hate it by your hood. - Thank you to Quinn's for sponsoring this portion of today's episode. Quinn's.com/abby. - Oh, there's poor people on this show. I mean, honestly, I feel bad for them. They're just doing what they're told. - Yeah, this season isn't a hit for, like, my mind. I think it's getting ratings, but it's, where everyone's like, it's not like the past season. - Yeah. - It would have been like so much better. So that's my, I guess I said that all the same last time. It just, it's just crazy. - I know what I'm sorry I saw. I was like, they just want to kiss. They don't want to meet. They don't even care to actually even be boyfriend and girlfriend. - No, that alone. - Discussing. - Marriage is completely off the table. - Yeah. - Yeah. - It's so hard sometimes with these shows. I get it. Like, they're in this predicament where they feel like they have to keep one up in themselves from the past. And so then things just get crazier and crazier. We talk about those America's next top model. Like, it just keeps, the snowball just keeps snowballing. And then it, you're like, well, we can't go backwards 'cause then that feels boring compared to what we just did. I feel like well, my island is the degradation of society. (laughing) - I love it when you explain it. - It doesn't really match my personality, though. - No, no. - It doesn't show you like it, though. - It is a guiltary pleasure. - Yeah. - I don't feel bad guilty. I do when I'm, when those scenes are happening but when they're just chatting. - Yeah. - You're like, whatever. The first word of the challenge is like, someone made a TikTok about that. They're like, why are the episodes so short this season and then it's her best wording for the challenge? (laughing) - That's how I was. My mom was like, you have to watch Bridgerton. You have to watch Bridgerton. - My mom said that. - My mom was like, we have to watch this. - I've heard that was very spicy. - Listen, I didn't watch Bridgerton. I fast forwarded their Bridgerton. - That's how when I was watching it was-- - It gave us rounds. - Unbelievable. - Okay, but game of thrones is not like made to be arousing. Like it's like-- - Oh, there's a different, is that different? - My mom's like, why are you fast forwarding it? It's so good. I was like, this is so good. I don't need to see that. (laughing) Full everything. My TV update. - 10 minutes. I only watched a movie and it was Emperor's New Groove. - Hey, was that good? - Was it good as an adult? - It's excellent. - Yeah. - I don't know why it's in there. - It's so good. - Yeah. - I watched that with the kids in Florida. - I need to watch, I'm at night tonight. I'm gonna watch Zendaya and Robert Parsons. - Oh, wedding, um. - Something. - I watched the Incredibles, it was like-- - It's a cloud. - That's an incredible, no pun intended. Incredible movie for an adult too. - The first is a second. - The first one. I just rewatched it for the first time as CJ, he's really into it. And I was like, wow, the character is so relatable. - And Emperor's New Groove, I was reminded, has a drama. - MSU alum. - Yeah, I'm Goodman. - John Goodman. - John Goodman. - Yeah, that's good. - What a drama. - The drama. - I wanna hear your recountment. - I'm excited to watch it. I know nothing about it. I just know that I really like Zendaya. I just really am a huge fan of her. If it's good, let me know. Okay. What's it on? - I don't know what to do. - You have to get, you have to buy it. We already looked into this because we know that the kids are going to be with us. - It was in the theater. - The kids are going to toy story with my parents and we are going to watch a movie. - Oh my gosh, fine. - And so we were like, we need to know the movie right now and get to business. But you have to get it off of either like YouTube or Google. - Yeah. - But it is streaming. - It's on Apple TV. - Oh, it is? I think we're gonna have to buy it. - It's on Prime. - Save them pennies. Well, I feel like you've been watching so much TV, Addy. - Time to finally share why. - I'm pregnant. - Yay. - Yay. - Yay. - The birth control episode was a, was a hoot. - She's like, I can't talk to my friends. - I can't. - I can't. - When we have our second ball. - Yes. - Yes. - Yes. - How you feel? - How far long are we now at this point? - I'm 14 and a half weeks right now as time of recording. So in the second trimester, feeling good now. - Yeah. - First trimester was rough, but not as bad as Brielle. Like it was way better. I was able to work out this time. I had more nighttime nausea in my first trimester than morning nausea. - Oh, interesting. - Which is interesting. - So. - I know you missed a lot of things. - That was different. - Like dinner and stuff. - Yeah, I was like, I can't. - Yeah. - Even like recording, I really get sick. - Oh, I was getting sick. - Yeah. - I was like, Hannah. This is bad. - It's literally fine. - Shout out to Hannah. Two feet from you. Two feet from you. - Can you give me one? - No, I've been feeling good now. I got my energy back now. Which is great. - Yeah. - Yeah, it's a great number. - New York was a rough one. - For me. - It was the worst timing. - That was really bad. Addie was sick the whole. - I was sick. - Basically every single time I got in the car. So that was a rough time. But other than that, it was fun. But trying to eat the food and stuff. Addie, I feel so bad for you. I went to that good yummy fancy restaurant. - It was good. - So my flavor. - Everything was just odd. - Could I tell you, I have an aversion to ground beef right now. - Really? - Because of that restaurant. - I think it's probably not because of that restaurant, but I didn't eat that burger. - And that's when it started. - I realized I was like, I don't want burgers. It's mostly specifically burgers. - Interesting. - But ground beef aversion. - You missed out on a really good burger. - Hey. - We talked about you really good. - Hannah's crazy that you still want to eat that. - I know, I haven't eaten salmon since. And it doesn't sound good, but that one looks good. - I was like hungry. - I was like, I need to eat something. - So nausea and food aversion to probably your biggest symptoms? - Yeah. I started getting headaches now. - That's the time that happened. - Yeah. - So I'm wondering, I'm like, do I get some iron? - Magnesium. - Magnesium. I do have magnesium. I should do that. Getting some headaches near the end of the day. But I'm starting to feel better. It's gone my way faster. Now that I've had one kid to take care of. - Yeah. - It's just, I'm not checking my app every day. - No. - I did the first time already. - Totally. - And it's just kind of flown by. Being here in the second trimester. But I'm also like, wow, they're still long times. - Yeah. - Oh, I know. - So. - Yeah, it's exciting. - It's a long game. It's a marathon. - We found out before your husband. - Yes, that is. There is a very, very-- - I can't keep my heart started, apparently. - No. - It wasn't that you said anything. - No, I did. Oh, I didn't spill it. But I feel like I should have-- - Okay, here's what happened. - So the morning that Adif, like literally took the test, Blake sat work. And we were doing something for always here. And we went to post something. - We just finished recording. - We were filming like a-- - You were filming because-- - The funny TikTok. - Always here was the event was on that Saturday. - Oh, it was bright. - And so the next-- - I was like just-- - Just use my phone and post on always here story. - And I went to go tap to post a story. I was literally just a picture of a positive pregnancy test. I didn't even see it. You saw it. - I saw it the first time and I was like, no. - No. - I didn't even think it was just like a flashing thought. And then when I saw it, the second time I was like, I literally just like regurged and I was like, are you pregnant? And then I was like, in hindsight, I really wish I would have just been like, pulled you aside separately. I probably would have still said something to you. - You were shocked. You go, Adi, are you pregnant? - No, I was shocked. - You were shocked. - And it was just a true reaction. - It was a true reaction. - And what? - And then I was like, what? And I was like, what? And then I was like, what? - Matt thought I was announcing it to you guys. And I'm like. - He comes in recording. - Yes. - They're all like, what? And then he's like, no window. - We should post a video. 'Cause I think Matt did just our-- - Matt did just our-- - He does like that video. Yeah, we should post that. - Yeah, we should post that. - I feel like my reaction was not good though. So I always get really up, what's the word? Instacure. Wait, I'm reacting to something because I feel like sometimes my face is not showing what I'm feeling. I was just kind of like, "What?" No, it was pure shock for you and me because here's the thing is I also never give you guys my personal phone to record on. I always give you my work phone and it wouldn't have been on there, but this time I was like, "Just go, just do it." Here you go. I was meant to be. I know, so it was really funny. I had to tell, obviously, once I told Blake, I was like, "So, Abigail, Abby, Hannah, and Matt, no." I was worried I was going to tell my mom. I did tell my mom and then I was like, "Wait, you can't, why don't I tell you that? You can't tell anybody." Because my mom was saying off Lori and we're not telling you Lori yet, so I was like, "I shouldn't have told you that," but she kept her secret. She did, she did. I felt bad about it. No, I didn't even know she knew, so I knew a little bit afterwards. No, that was really fun and then telling Blake was funny, and I got no one's reactions on video. It was really fun to just be in the moment, this time I'm not really recording anything. I did set up my phone to record Blake and then it fell, so I do have the audio, but I was actually in the video and I was just like, "Fell right away." Blake's reaction is underwhelming. Yeah, it doesn't need to be public. We love him so much. Yeah, we do. We do. We do. Yes, he is steady. I went to Target on my way to record and I was like, "Let's see if I can find a onesie that says, "Big sister." When you're looking for a six-month-old one telling you that it's hard. There is not going to be one that says, "It all says little sister." So I found one that says, "Sister's Club." Cute. "Sister Club." It was really cute. I got that. I brought it home and then I put the pregnancy test out there and I was like, "We had photos that night." I had mommy and me photos and so I was like, "Can you please get real dressed so that I can go and finish getting ready?" He goes in there and he looks at it and he goes, "This isn't yours, is it?" I'm like, "Who else could it be?" He goes, "Yeah, it is." He goes, "Wow. It's funny." He's like, "It's so good." I was like, "You know how this happened." It's crazy. It's coming. So it is funny because I do have a text because here's the thing. I want it to be pregnant. We can just get that out there. We have talked about the gap where you're like six to eight months. You're like, "I need a new baby." Not a new baby. I need a baby. I love real. Get that out of here. Forget the old one. We need a new one. The six to eight months where you're like, "I want another baby." I stopped breastfeeding, or I should have been sleeping through the night at that point. I was weaning breastfeeding. Next step was to just get pregnant. And I had texted Blake like, "How'd it been that week?" It must have been because I knew I was ovulating. I was like, "You want a mid-December baby?" He never replied to my text. He didn't need a response. But he showed up. He said, "I'll see you at lunch." We just text a lot. That was funny. But yeah, it was another, we were very lucky first time. We weren't trying. We were, because we did it unprotected. But we weren't intentionally. We want to start for a baby right now and work towards that. But there'll be 16 months apart. You were tracking ovulation and everything. I wasn't tracking ovulation. I just noticed some changes in my body. I knew it was happening. That's mostly how I knew. Because I hadn't been tracking at that point. Praise God. Yeah. So it all lined up pretty well. Another blessing. Christmas baby. Christmas baby, which I'm kind of excited about. But also it's like, "Okay. I want this baby to come on its due date or before." Because I'm like, "Then we're getting too close to Christmas." What is, are you saying the due date? I don't care. It's December 19th. So, very close to Christmas. What was real? The day after. Who do you date? Three days after. Three days after. So, maybe a little early. Yeah, I'll be fine. So, well, it's funny, because I'm thinking about that too. I guess real is not the same way. My birthday is very close to Valentine's Day. And we learned this year, because it's the first year, which we already knew is because of Matt. But Blake's birthday is also very close to Father's Day. Oh crap. Happy holidays. I never told Blake Happy Birthday. Your brother? Yes. Shoot. Did you know that, Eddie? No. Thank you. Shoot. You better throw him a party too. We do have two people along the same day. It makes it a little hard. I'm so focused on that. Oh no. Let's say it. Okay. I got a call to make after this. Yeah. Should I call him right now? Call him right now on the podcast. He'll answer because you're calling. Will he though? I think so. Hello. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Blakey. Thank you. I'm so sorry. I'll call you back later and actually do something for you. I don't know what's really what is wrong with you. I'm really sorry. I missed your birthday. But just a few days. Did you have a good one? There's a couple birthdays on that day, so it's understandable. Oh. Okay. We'll have to do something in hindsight because your sister is a dummy. I didn't think anything of it. Really? Okay. Apparently, I failed many birthdays then. Well, sorry. I hope you had a good day. Okay. Thank you. I did. Okay. Love you. Love you. Bye. Oh. This is really sweet. So sweet. I loved it. I loved it. I loved it. I loved it. It's really sweet. I loved it. I loved it. - I didn't even think anything of it. - Your grandma also did it text him. She just sent him a Vennmout. - That's so her. - That's so her. - What were we talking about? You were tracking her, I feel like she won't be talking about. - Um, and-- - Oh, I was saying-- - No, baby, my car-- - My car will be close to-- - Yes. - Chris, you're all holiday, baby. - We're all holidays, except for Brielle, but her holidays around her is birthdays. Everyone's birthday. - That's right. - Everyone's birthday. - She's just a birthday month. - She's a birthday month with everyone else. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - So. - August, baby. - August, baby. - So, you're a good, different distance between her birthday and this next baby's birthday. - Yeah, I also, I kind of wanted a wintery, wintery-- - Yeah, it would make season. - And what a different season, and so-- - It did mess up our timeline of, we were wanting to buy a house this year. - Oh yeah. - And we wanted to do it in December to like hopefully line up. I don't know how everyone does it with having an apartment at least, and then trying to buy a house, and not wanting to have to pay your apartment rent, and you start paying all for your house and your mortgage and stuff. - No, you don't pay your mortgage for like the first two or three months. - Oh, you buy a house. - Good to know, well, all the closing fees and stuff like that, but that is, wait, that's good to know. - No, yeah, you actually, 'cause we were worried about that too, and we bought our house like we closed in May, and we didn't move out until June, we didn't pay our first mortgage until July. - Good to know. - So yeah, you have a little bit of buffer. - No, we can buy a house. - Yeah, so we're going on vacation next month, and we're gonna start looking after that. So that's like exciting, but also stressful. - Yeah, and you'll be very- - You'll be being very pregnant. - But also, am I put you into labor, so who cares? - Yeah, just keep moving. - Yeah. - And the nesting, like, the nesting feeling, oh, I'm moving into a house where I'm like, I want to organize it all. - Might be good, or I'm gonna be good. - So it'll be the worst thing that you do, but you'll be happy day later, you know what I mean? Be in it, you'll be like, this was a horrible idea, but I'm glad we did it. (laughing) You know what people do those things? - We moved, and I was nine months pregnant with CJ, well, Caleb moved to us. I didn't really do anything. - Yeah. - That was also just a stressful time. - Did you guys move yourself? Or did you get a move? - No, we had a lot of friends help us. - Okay. - Wendy, I know, like, movers. - We're gonna have no money. - Pay for movers. - Because that's better. - We had movers when we moved from our other apartment to this apartment. We also live on the third floor of an apartment complex with no elevators, and we're really narrow stairways. - I know it. - Yeah, they're narrow. - So we're gonna pay for movers to do that. - Midas. - We are gonna use Midas. - They're the best. - They're the best. - They're great. - Nice. - That's a good plan. - Yeah, so you're still gonna keep your timeline then for the house. - We're moving up the, like, we're gonna start the whole process of starting to talk to a realtor, and maybe look at houses in August. - Yeah. - So we can have a little bit more time. And hopefully, have a house moved in, feel settled by the center. - That's a better idea. - Yeah. - Because sometimes things just don't. - Exactly. And so we're willing to have to pay extra and rent, or close our lease early and see those fees and stuff like that. We just want to have enough time to get what we want. And not have to, like, rush through that process, either. - For sure. - It's a big, it's a big commitment. - It's a huge deal. - Yeah. - Because the most stressful things they'll do. - Yeah. - So, but it's exciting. I'm so excited. It's weird to, like, maybe you felt the service C.J., 'cause did you guys know you were gonna buy a house before you had C.J.? - We bought the house a year after C.J. was born. - Oh, okay. - So we moved to. - So you were downsized from that rental house that we had that was stored. - Oh. - That's our goal. - Into a small apartment. - And you are. - So you went from 3,000 to graffiti to 11,000. - So then you had C.J. Atty. - At the apartment. - And we were in the apartment for one year and then we bought a house. I prefer that one year at least. - So like the thing, I'm a planner, type A. I can't picture what things are gonna look like right now because I don't know where we're gonna be. So I'm like, it's really weird. 'Cause like when we had Brielle, when I was pregnant with Brielle, I was like, okay, this room is gonna be her room. And we can start thinking and thinking about it and doing these things. - Right. - And I'm like, I have no idea where we're gonna be. So I don't know what it's gonna look like and so that's a weird feeling to feel, but it's normal, obviously. - Yeah, it's so hard to try and name it Griffin. - Okay, so you're like, I don't know where we're gonna be. - Yeah, I think you guys were in that studio and you moved into a house. - Yeah, it's like you. - Yeah. - It is hard to picture, especially when you are like a planner, but it's one of those things where you have to remind yourself it's an exciting unknown. 'Cause it's so fun that when you find your house and you move in and you get to like make the space your own. So you just have to keep reminding yourself even when you feel stressed or like overwhelmed of like, I can't nest and prepare it the way that I would want to. You just have to remind yourself, it'll be worth it in the long run. And you just have to come back to that. - Yeah, no, I'm so excited to be in a house. So it like makes me really excited. - You know, so your bedroom, in part of my two bedrooms, right? So you have to move out, anyway. - We have to move out, yeah, yeah. In our brain. Like, it's just something that we know we want to do anyway. - Yeah, for sure. - Yeah. I think we're gonna try and move out even if we didn't have another baby on the way anyway. So. - Are you guys both nesting? Like crazy? - I mean, I guess you're not going to be. - I'm not there yet. - You're not going to be nesting. - Yeah, I need you to worry because I have done nothing. And see, that stresses me out. - Really? - Well, when I walk into your mudroom, I'm like, stressful. - I need to go in there. It's crazy. - Really? - It's all just stacked, but it's like-- - It's all organized. - Let's put it away. - Yeah. - Let's help you. - Yeah. - Put it away. - There's no place to put it. I don't know what to do. - That is, okay. I remember what she did the whole time. I was like, second baby, who cares? Like, I know what to do. Been there, done that. I don't need to prepare. And then I went in and my 37 week appointment. And she was like, you're two centimeters dilated in like 50% of face. And I was like, I need to prepare. - I need to prepare. And then it like freaked out. And then it's like, okay, all the bottles, everything. So, do you feel like you're there? - I think I'm freaked out. - Yeah. Like, need to prepare. - It does, it does bother me. But then I'm like, there's just so much going on that I'm like, by the end of the day, I'm like, what am I gonna really just start this project right now? - Yeah. - So I have kind of just been like, trying to think of a way. And now I have a week set aside in my brain, where I'm like, I'm probably gonna work two days and then three days have nesting. And then my friends will, like so many people have offered, which is so nice. - Yeah, we'll come over. - And it's one of those things where it's like, yes, I would love to accept your help. That is so nice. Also, we were talking about, this is just a side note, but you know how like all of our friends are very like, hands on, like, let me enter your space and enter your world and help you out like. And then, but that also requires on you to like accept it. And I feel like me, I'm like, yes. Thank you so much. Sometimes I do feel a little guilty. Like, I'm like, no, somebody else, somebody else. Like, we have been so blessed, like somebody else. But we have one of our friends that is like, she's like, I absolutely, she's like, it's my toxic trait. I know I can't accept any help. And we're like, no. And then one of our friends goes, why are you so mean to us? (laughing) I was just watching her son. And she, she really goes, why are you so mean to, yeah, you're depriving us of the joy of helping. - Yeah, she's like an honor to like, you know, be trusted in that way. And to like, just like, be so close to people. - Right. - And so I think about that a lot. I'm like, no, it's fine, it's just great. - And so, anyway, so those, like, other three days, I, the goal, which this has happened before and it didn't work out. So I'm like, it could get derailed. It's just knock it all out that day. And honestly, the things that are stressing me out the most are not things that all related to the baby. It's literally all things related to like, getting other systems in place in my house. Then when I'm like, I don't have the capacity for that, like it'll just, it'll be easy, smoothly. - And I can just focus on the baby. - Yeah. - But it's really, it's not in good shape right now. I mean, here's the thing. I have myself to directly compare 'cause I have a friend that I do literally on the same day. And she's a very type A. And she has this beautiful nursery and it's like all completely ready. Like, it's gorgeous. And I'm like, hmm, they're here. (laughs) I don't think this baby is gonna have a nursery. - Right. - And so I'm like, that's, I think he'll probably just sleep with us until he moves into the room with his brothers. Like, I don't know, like, that's just kind of like, what we've just been talking about right now, it feels so hard to wrap our head around, honestly. Even though it's our third, I'm kind of just like, what do we do? - Yeah. - I mean, let me in your room for at least three months. - Yeah, I mean, we had both of the boys in our room until like nine or 10 months. - Really? - Yeah. - Did you just put the crib in your room? - Yeah. - I see that we didn't have room for a crib, so it was like, what's the best thing that I grew? - Oh yeah. - There was no option. Also, we kept them in the bathroom. - Yeah. - Okay. - Thank you to Honey Love for sponsoring this portion of today's episode. - I feel like we talk about a lot between us, breastfeeding, pregnancy, postpartum. You just need to make it a YouTube video and then you have to do it. That's what I did. I was like, I have to nest. I have to prepare. And if I have to schedule it into my work hours to make it my work time, then that's what I'll do. - That's a good idea. - Because you already have your work time scheduled. And so it's like, this day, I'm making content cleaning my house. - I know. I feel like I have to shuttle my kids out. - Yeah, you do. - Am I gonna get out? - No, so you just had to be gone. I had to do it during nap time. It was like my linen closet was driving me nuts. I was like, I have to do this before baby comes, which doesn't make sense. But it's like, I'm trying to have a baby. I'm like, if I had you a baby, you don't have to be wrestling your sheets. Like I need things to be smooth and organized because I'm not gonna clean it for at least four more months. So I get it. - You gotta get it, you don't have to do it. - I have been, yeah, this is my gadget pregnancy or my gadget newborn stage. 'Cause the other times we didn't really get those, like convenience items, baby items. This time I'm like, I'm gonna get the convenience items. I got a mini fridge yesterday on Prime Day deals. - Nice. - I got, we're just gonna make it just as convenience possible. 'Cause I'm like, I already know that I feel like I was overly confident going from one to two. And then I was like, looking back more on that transition. I was like, man, that was just so much more humbling than I really gave it credit for. And that's what I actually we should talk about, like, the transitions from kids. - Yeah. - Because I've always said zero to one was the hardest. But I mean that in a different way in the sense of like, I might actually think one to two was the hardest. But here's what I mean. And we were talking about this with our friends that just had a third baby. 'Cause I've been like picking everyone's brains. 'Cause I'm like, tell me what it's like. Like, what should I expect? What should I, like, tell me about what your experience is. And the way they described it, I think, was really well done. Because I was like, wait, I relate to that so much. Zero to one was hard because that's an identity shift. You are mom now. You are becoming a mom. Your husband is becoming a dad for the first time ever. That's a big identity shift. But the thing about one to two is that it's, but with what one, you're kind of tag teaming. You're working as a team, but one of you is kind of off and one's on 'cause you've got one kid. The difference between that and then one to two is that then you're both, like, fully on. Your capacity has, your capacity has to grow so much with the second. So much. Yeah. You've already done the identity shift, but then the capacity thing, and then the, like, how do we both be on 100% at 100% at the time? And I think that that was more of, like, as chocolate, like, in hindsight, I was like, that was really difficult. Yeah. And I didn't give it the, I think that what was really shocking for me the first time was the identity shift. And then, but you've already made the, I was like, I've already made the chain. I know nap time. I know the schedules, like, I know everything. But then it was just the capacity shift with between one to two was really, really surprising. That's a good way of saying it. But then they were saying, like, two to three, you've already made the identity shift. You've already stretched your capacity. And now you know how to work as a team really well. They're just kind of like, you've got the team work down. So they said the two to three was really actually fairly easy for them. - Wow, good. - And it's like they've done it so gracefully. - Seriously. - I'm like, well, do you guys have a baby? - They've been reassuring, which I'm like, that's so nice because they're like, no, they're like, it's so much easier, it's so much easier. And I was like, that's really good to hear. But yeah, I've just been reflecting a lot on like, what transitions, and also I do think age gaps play a big role in this conversation too. But even I thought one to two was really hard, and they have a bigger age gap than what like Griffin and Augie have. I was really surprised. And maybe it's good to hear this added to like, mentally prepare. - I'll say like the things that I'm thinking of that are like, not stressing me out, but I feel like that I'm not gonna understand or adapt to, or like that's gonna take me a minute, is nap time. Like when Brielle naps, I'm free to do what I need to do. There's gonna be another baby that's not gonna nap at the same exact time's every single day. And you'll figure that out at some point. They'll maybe go to the same nap time. I don't know. I mean, when there's one baby that only takes one nap a day, and there's gonna be another baby that takes the four and apps a day. - No, I'm telling you, Addy, they always take an app at the same time. I don't really know what to say. - I think Brielle could be on a one-naps schedule right now. Like, I think she could do it. I don't want to do that. - No, I want to keep an around it to nap schedule. 'Cause I want those longer chunks of time to like, 'cause she still takes two hour apps if I litter. And so that I'm thinking about, I'm thinking about morning routines of, I get up, I get Brielle ready. I get her, we go to the gym. I'm like, okay, I'm gonna have to take care of baby. Blake's gonna need to get Brielle up. Blake's gonna need to do it. Like, I feel like it might be a bigger load on Blake with the second, like having a second baby being like, I actually can't do all these things anymore. Like, I need you to step in here, which he will very gracefully do. I just, I do it right now. I'm a morning gal. So I'm like, I'll take care of Brielle. You sleep in, I don't care. So, those are the things I'm thinking of right now. - Yeah. I feel like it's, when you're nursing, it's so much. I had a really hard time balancing the nursing with too. Because yeah, it's like, every two hours, you have to stop what you're doing and sit, but you're taller once you keep going and your day keeps going, your schedule keeps going. And I felt really overwhelmed by like, the capacity of, not the capacity. I felt really overwhelmed by the schedule of nursing and then just work and toddler and family and just normal day-to-day life things. Now I feel, like it's grown. I've stretched it. I've like come into it. I feel way more confident, way more smooth. I'm at nine months. I think at six months, there was a huge shift for me mentally too. Like the brain fog lifted. I felt like my mind was working again. And I could manage the scheduling a little bit better. But those first six months were really, really tough and I felt very overwhelmed. I think that was what shocked me the most going from zero or from one to two was that I was really prepared for CJ to feel jealous and upset and not understand the attention. I felt really sad that I physically felt like I could not take care of CJ and that baby at the same time. I felt that so much. And the guilt that came with that, like especially 'cause Augie was a C-section. I just remember feeling it for so long. I was like, how irresponsible of me. I made these children. Like one of these children chose to have these children and I literally can't do it by myself. Do it by myself. And it makes me sad really to think about 'cause I was like, I think I lacked a lot of confidence that I thought that I had. It was like a really humbling time. Like I was like super humble. I like need Matt. I need my mom. I need like all these other things. And I don't know. I think it's a mom not feeling self-sufficient is like probably one of the most scary things. And some of the other challenges I remember was like just the logistics of loading the kids up and out of the car, like leaving the house and being out and about. And just like for the first time, not having just like my eyes on one. And then this was all the same time that like my, all this was just starting to walk. And he would like go, and I'm like, my gosh, the baby's crying and like I just felt like I was like, I can't split my brain. Like I just remember that being like, how do people do this? Like how do people do this? Let alone have, go on to have more. Like I remember just being like, this is just impossible. But like I said, your capacity does grow, but those earlier days, like half your mind myself, I was like, that was tough. And that was a time where I was just lacking, I just felt a lot of shame, honestly. And I was so enjoying both my kids, but I just feel like it was hard to even feel that at that point because I felt like I was letting them down. And I think that's a common thing. I wasn't letting them down. I was just learning, and everyone was just learning, and it's a growth period, but like that was really, 'cause I just remember with my first, I was like, oh my gosh, it's so quiet. Like he's just napping and then I got to like clean the house and like it was just a very different experience. And then the other thing that surprised me was, though it's one thing to be waking up with one kid, is another thing to be waking up with too. And usually like one is like a better sleeper than the other, but there's like times where your oldest will just like humble you, or your good sleeper will humble you. And I was like, wow, this is double the wake of some last time. I'm really shocked by that. And the other thing I thought about was sicknesses. So like that's why when someone would get sick, I was like, oh great, now one kid is sick, and then he'll be sick, and then the next kid will get sick, and then we'll get sick, and then my husband will get sick, and then it's been a month. And then that takes so, and then it's like, okay, well, I really think that this kid needs to get out of the house, but this kid is contagious at this point probably, so we're all stuck here, and we're all going crazy right now. And then just the ripple effect that that would cause was like surprising for me, toddler and baby. Yeah, I thought the same. Yeah, I think I was just really shocked. I was so humbled, but I also am like, I think there's times in our life where the Lord is like, you need to accept help and you need help. Like I think we have to be reminded that we can't do things on our own. Yeah, and that's a good thing. Like we're supposed to remember that we are not, so like we're not supposed to be self-sufficient. Like we're supposed to, you know, I believe I'm supposed to rely on the Lord. And so it's like, okay, then this is a good season of my life to humble me and remind me that I can't do it all. Totally, it's good. It stretched me, it grew me, it humbled me, it shaped me, it made me a better person and a better mom, and like you'll get through it. It's just, it is really hard. And I think I didn't mentally prepare for that. Oh yeah, I was like, I got this. So how? What's another baby? And then I was like, oh my gosh. I will say on this side of things now with two toddlers, I think having two is way easier than having one. Yes, I can't, now that the baby is like, it takes a while, it takes a while, and I remember just thinking like they, everyone said this, they're gonna be just such good buddies. And I was like, it's a potato and a crazy, just baby toddler right here. And then all of a sudden, they were like playing and entertaining each other. And like you and today, they're like looking for each other 'cause they had a whole play place of kids to play with, but they wanted to play with each other. And I was like, oh, this is so sweet. I know, good. You think about, it's like in the grand scheme of our life, a really hard six months is like a blink of an eye. And so once you're, you know, you just have to keep that in perspective of like the long term game of like, we want our kids to have friends and siblings and like, we want big families. So you just have to think, okay, I'm gonna have a hard six months and then we're done. And then we get to enjoy the rest of our life. I feel like people also, I didn't have a lot of mom friends that had two at the time because we got pregnant so quick that I was like, really unprepared. So I say this to just honestly have healthy expectations. So then if anything, you're like, it was easier. - It was so dramatic. - I mean, I even felt that way when I had Brielle. I felt like it was easier. I mean, we got to a point where I was like, oh, it's tough now, but like, no one kind of, I mean, if you have a decent, decent baby, that sounds bad to say. But I'm like, those first two weeks can actually be like, pretty chill and easy, maybe sleep and eat. And they're not crying. Like, Brielle didn't cry that much. She just woke up, slept in eight. So those first two weeks, I was like, guys, this is easy. What do you mean? - I love that. - And then they wake up and you're like, okay. This is big, this is it. But no, I think that's, I'm picturing the first five months being tough because my mom will be here for a little bit of it, but she doesn't retire. She's a time in May. So I'm just the whole time, I'm gonna be like, mom, mom, I'm ready, please come, please come. But I think I'm just thinking of like the working full time and having two kids and being like, okay, I can probably have one with me. I can have the baby with me and make this work, but I can't also entertain Brielle and make that work too. So I'm like, okay, have her with the setter, what she loves and like figuring out logistics of like, that seems mean. Shipped one kid off with a setter and keep one, you know, but you're like, logistically you're just doing what works for your family. - Yeah, that's a short key in that short key. - If you're nursing too, it's like kind of the only thing. - That is another thing that you were talking about. It was just like, thinking about nursing for 20 minutes and Brielle like crawling and walking around. - Oh, it's 20. - Oh, it's 20. - Well, I guess I did 15 per side, so 30. - Yeah. - But I'm like, having her just not, for me, just having to hope she doesn't get into anything. - You know what, they adapt quickly. - She could sit next. Me, she loves babies. - The kids are so Audrey. (laughing) - Well, here's the other thing that I'm like, - My kids are so crony. - You're like, it's me, and home it in. - I think my kids, it's like, I give them an inch and take a pile. I'm like, what are you doing? (laughing) - I'm just, I'm still, they're almost before, I feel like I can't shower. - Yeah. I feel like I have to have eyes on them. 'Cause I'm like, I don't know what you're gonna do. - Yeah. But I'll be playing in the dog bowl at that point. She would just be, if I look away for two seconds, she would take out her hands in the dog bowl. I'm like, but you'll be in your new house and you'll know what to hide away. - Well, that's a big picture. Exactly, that's the thing is I'm like, someone asked me the other day, they're like, how are you doing with baby proofing? I'm like, I'm not gonna be here very long, much longer. I'm not doing much. When I need to, I set chairs in front of the dog bowls and I have outward covers. - Yeah. If your balls are head, I comfort her. - Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, that is it. - You know, you can get one of those, like, baby play pens. - That's what I'm thinking for when we have a house. Like, we don't have room for that. - Put her in the house. - But you'll have like a baby safe room. - Yes. - Her bedroom, and you just have all of her toys in there. When you need a nurse, it's just popper in there. You'll have a chair in there. - Yeah, you can nurse and she can play. - Yeah, one more memory I have of the early days of having two under two was the car rides. That and screaming, that for some reason actually, like, gave me real anxiety was when they were both crying in the car. I was like, we didn't really experience that at too much. The both of them have been like great in the car. - Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. - We all did not like that car as a kid. I was like a baby for like the first like two months. And so that was really hard. - I feel like a lot of some babies really hit the doonah. - You really? - I feel like it was just whenever our car stopped, it was like screaming from all the in then, that it would make, like, the oldest upset. - I'm curious to see how that's gonna be, like, how real reacts to other. - 'Cause now I've been able to have a lot of conversations with Griffin and Oggy. I always tell them, I'm like, babies can't talk. So crying is how they talked to us. And we like talk about it. And I'm like, talk about things that they can do to help if he's like crying. But when Griffin was 13 months old, like. - You can't explain that. - There was a time where I was like, "CJ, do you hear her crying?" 'Cause he never reacted. I was like, "Do you hear that? Are you okay?" - He didn't care at all. - He didn't bother him. - So, real, am I not care? - Yeah, I don't know. - I was like, "I feel like she's okay." - Do you hear that, buddy? - It's not that I bothered him either. - He was also sad? - He was also sad for some other reason in the car. - Hey, I don't know. - He is an impact. He could be crying because you guys, I actually, this was really sweet. He was watching, what was he watching recently? - Gosh, I can't remember. My brain is simply not working. But he, like, I could tell that he was really sad. I think it was like a little kid's movie. And he was like, "Would it be really sad if something happened to Daddy?" - And I was like, "Oh, shoot." And I was like, "That would be really sad." And he was like, "Would it be really sad if something happened to Mommy?" And then he just started really just like, really-- - Oh, dooms thinking. - Yeah, which then I thought about it. I was like, "A lot of Disney movies have really "sad elements that I feel like before." He wasn't necessarily thinking about. Or if he was thinking that I was like in their world, now he's like, "This could happen to me." And now, I'm like, "Nothing is safe." - No, I literally was like, "We cannot show "CJ Lambo for Time ever again because the mom dies." And then Lions came too. I was like, "Sorry, but we're gonna be here for everybody." This is really-- - It can't get rid of us. - It could be your birthday. - Can't put those fears in your mind. - Well, Addy, that's very exciting. - We've known for so long. - I don't know. - I don't know. - You're a secret as of now. - No Blake said, "I can talk about it, guys." - Okay, I don't know. - Wait, this is breaking news. - Breaking news. (laughs) - It's a girl. - Yay! - It's gonna be an amazing sister. - Yes, I know. I'm excited. Hopefully everyone-- Hopefully you're doing Sunday dinner 'cause we're gonna tell everyone the name. - Oh, sweet. - Oh my gosh, yay! - That's exciting. - So, yeah, it'll be fun. - Is it another being name? - It is. - Is it sure I've asked that? - You can already ask her that. - Sure, yeah. It's kind of a unique name apparently. So, we'll see. - Okay, I'm excited. - But we like it, so you have to like it. - Yeah! - We sure will say it. - Okay, so I think-- - Yeah, two little girls. They'll be best friends. - Oh. - I'm just looking at Grapid and Augie. They're besties, so. - This was a good conversation. Not to scare people. It was just like, "I think it's good." I know when told me like the hard parts of it, they're like, "Oh, it's hard." - I know when I've heard mom friends really at that point. - I feel like no one went into like details of the things that were actually hard for them. They're just like, "Oh, you're just really tired." And I'm like, "Okay, but you're expecting that." - The flip side of it is that you're struggling and you feel like that's where I felt the shame. 'Cause I was like, "Man, the only one that can't do this by myself." - Right. - Whereas like, if other moms had been like, "No, I've needed help at that point." - Yeah. - Like, I was, it was a big adjustment. I feel like I wouldn't have felt as much shame. - Totally. - Or like the guilt that I felt. - Yeah. - And it's like the most rewarding thing in the long. But those first few months for me were really hard. I'm excited to hear how your two to three is and I'm excited to hear how your one to two is. - I'm wondering for like, I guess two to three is, I don't know if it's, it's probably not as different as zero to one or one to two. - Yeah. - But I feel like the differences, they're both hard in different ways. 'Cause zero to one, you're, and maybe you already said this, you're learning how to, you don't know what you're doing. - Yeah, you're understanding. - You're the second one. You know how to do everything. You're just adapted to how to do it too. Like how to take care of another kid. - Yeah, how do I multiply myself? - Yeah, and that's like, it's hard in both ways. So people who just say, it's so hard. Or I wanna know, two under two. I feel like it's common these days to have two under two. Everyone says it's hard. Here's my thought. No one knows, no one knows both. - No one knows they have two under two. But you don't know how it is to have two under two. - No one knows both sides. - I will know unless they had, unless they had two. - Okay, let's say had multiple. - Yeah, but then they have three kids. So it's different. - That's true. - Or they have, you know, that's true. - I'm just gonna live by that. - Addy, I'm telling you, two under two is difficult. (laughing) - I just want you to know what I'm talking about before we start. - I have two under two, they have a, they have a 23 month old. - Yeah, that's where I'm like, you know, I had two under two for 11 months. And those 11 months, we're challenging. - Yeah, she did a shift at two years and three months old and three months old. - No, I would say, it probably shifts more 18 months. So, but you're under 18 months. - We're 16. - So you got two months of like-- - About two months of, I'm just, I'm just fine. - Browse's gonna be excelling at everything. She's gonna walk before she's one. She's gonna start saying words. She's roaring right now. So she, she, she, she's really bad. - She's like, she's trying to convince her, convince her. Teach her to grow up people, she's like. (laughing) - Oh, no. - And we're talking about how honorary Blake is on all the different lovelies. - We've never been rolling, kid. - Yeah. - Did you go through a phase? - Yeah. - She was, we're in that phase. - That's cute, so cute. - I also think little girls, in general, adapt better to babies. - She loves babies, she loves kids. She grabbed Bowdie's hand today and was holding it. - Yeah. - I'm like, you're such a child. - Yeah. - She's so much fun. - She's like, she loves the bacon on the burn door. - She goes up to where she goes. - She's got such a sweet personality. - You're gonna be fine. I'm so excited for you. - You're so great. - And it's so sweet. - Great, we're gonna meet each other. - It'll be great. - It'll be so sweet. - Yeah. - Two girls. - Two girls, baby. - Two girls. - We've got a few more things that we're gonna talk about on Patreon in this topic of pregnancy and motherhood. So we're gonna head over and have that conversation. If you guys wanna hear more of us sign up for our Patreon, it's $5 a month. We do exclusive content on every episode. I hate seeing exclusive content. Bonus content. - It's not exclusive. It's just bonus. (laughing) - Hey, we also have so many fun chats but they're always hungry. We have like so many recipes in there. I love reading. Our book club is on there. I need extended book club segments. So, I got our Patreon. - We do questions from Patreon, like exclusive questions. - Yeah, we do. We do more voicemails. Well, they're not voicemails. I just read questions, but it's a party. - I think that might be an initial launch of said. - You guys are gonna talk about Patreon? - No, we might do a first release. - We're there with the Patreon. That's a great idea. - Get some. - First access space. - Yeah, okay, we'll head on there. We'll talk more about it. - Okay. - This show is sponsored by BetterHelp. BetterHelp's 2026 State of stigma report surveyed 2,000 Americans and revealed that 85% of Americans believe getting support is wise. Yet, 74% say society discourages people from actually doing so. Which, that's kind of a crazy statistic. - And I feel like when your therapy needs become personal is when you really take action. - Yeah. - And for me personally, that happened when I became a mom. I felt so much more responsibility for being the best version of myself every single day consistently. And I really felt like I had no space for these things. I was describing as like hiccups. I was like, oh, this is just something I struggle with. And I was like, I don't have to. And I don't have to go through this alone. My first stop was BetterHelp. And that is because they have made it so accessible. Whoever you are, whether it's online or through the app, they meet you where you're at. Which I think is so cool, especially a lot of us. Have really busy schedules. We're working, we have kids. It's not easy to go out and find someone like this, but BetterHelp makes that happen on your timeline and in the comfort of your home. They give you a short questionnaire which helps identify your needs and preferences. And their 12 plus years of experience in industry leading match fulfillment rate means that they typically get it right the first time. But if it just so happens that you aren't happy with your match, you can switch to a different therapist at any time from any of their other tailored recommendations. Which is, I think, really comforting for people. You think about, oh, what if I go in, I don't like them? Well, you can just switch. Which doesn't, but also they have a really high success rate. Don't let stigma stand in the way of support. Start therapy with BetterHelp. Sign up and get 10% off at BetterHelp.com/always. That's better-h-e-l-p.com/always. - Wait, wait, okay, before voice mail, sorry. Last minute thing. - Oh, yes. - Oh, okay. - We have two different things. First of all, we'll say Abbi's is Abbi's this morning and then yours, at the gym, we had, you put the bands on, and then you were doing, like, side-like hip press. - It was cool, like, resistant bands. - And I was standing up, 'cause I didn't really like to do that. So I was just doing it with both legs. I'm standing next to where everyone puts them back. - Yeah. - Abbi, come up and just smack some of the leg with- - I snapped the smack down, just go. I just filled it like a rough and spanker and then like, I'm sorry. I thought it'd be funny, I was like a little brother. She said that was supposed to truce it's love. She's not that lavish, she's so loved. She's not doing it with her resistance fans. So stupid fans. I was like, that hurt? Yeah. No, I was like, what if I just fell over enough? And then my other moment with Abby this week is, I had this with Blake the other day. Blake asked me how many presidents I could name on the spot while we're watching a TV show. He asked me that. How many presidents can you name? Don't do it right now, but guess how many presidents she could name? I think a lot. How many do we have 52? Yeah. I bet you could name 48. She could name seven on the spot, on the spot. I have no idea, I didn't test it. You can do way more than me, she even knew that, do you know who the second president is? Was? Ben Franklin. He's a big, I don't think that you have a big Ben Franklin. I don't think that you have a big Ben Franklin. Yes. Was Ben Franklin a person? People were never listening to this because we were smart. Blake was like, you're not so dumb, but it was just funny when you were like, I was like, well how many did you get? You were like seven? Seven? I mean you're 10, and I couldn't speak that. Okay, let's be backwards. You can go backwards. Let's do it. We have Donald Trump. Joe Biden. I forgot Joe Biden. Where are you going in this order? Because it's my most recent of my life. Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Clinton. George Bush. Ronald Reagan. Who's that guy with the glasses in between Reagan and Bush? Kennedy? John of Kennedy. Hey, I'm gonna go JFK, Woodrow Wilson, Ben Franklin, John Adams, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Campican. Are we still going in order? Is that mine? Is that mine or 19? You're at 14. You're at 14. So see, I got stuck. I got real stuck, real flustered. It was just the way I was delivered. She's like, how many, I was like, well, how many did you get? I'm really bad at retaining historical information. I am too. No, don't please do not get me wrong. I am not judging you because I could not come up with many, but that was just so funny because that's so real. Like honestly, like when am I thinking about history? We were also in the middle of watching a TV show, but it made me guess. And he's like, here, let me do them in order. And I'm like, he could do all of them? No. He got, he wanted more time to think and I'm like, we're literally watching a show. Caleb is the same thing. He'll like pause the TV and I'm like, I'm watching the show. You can go do your research on your own time. I'm the pause. Rest play. Okay, back the voice. Okay, those were two things you were supposed to talk about. Well, I thought you were going to get 48. So thank you. You're welcome. I seem smart sometimes. You are smart. You are smart. Ask, ask, ask Abby. You ready for some voicemails? Let's do it. If you guys are new to the show, we always have a voicemail segment called Ask Abby's. And if you guys want to call in and leave a question, it could be about anything, questions, advice, whatever it may be. The number is 602-456-960. We love hearing your guys voice and it's fun being on our toes too. Hello, my name is Kayla. I love you guys this podcast. We'd love to know your thoughts on this predicament. My husband and I are in. We have been married seven years. We have a dog who is seven years old. She's a great dog. But now that we have two kids, a two year old and a almost three month old, I want to get rid of our dog and he does not. Again, she's a great dog, but she sheds a lot and barks sometimes and it's just another thing to take care of. So, um, yeah. Who's team would you be on? This is a point of question. You're just talking about it. Okay, I'll take this one. Listen, I get it. Yeah, I get it. I, um, okay, so I think you should keep your dog. I do think you should keep your dog, but seven years. You're so long. Am I diet like that? No, my gosh, it's not where I was going. Where are you going? The dog is bonded to you. Yeah, you shouldn't get rid of it. I'm saying you probably don't have that many more years. You know what I mean? You've gotten the long front. I totally understand we were going to do a whole post program. We held her her kids. Let's get that three months old, three months old. That's all we need to know. That's all you know, you will get past the rage in about three to four more months. We laugh. We were laughing because I on the call is like, I want to talk about plus part of how I just, I didn't have rage towards my kids. I had rage towards my dog and it's such a real, real, real thing. To the point where I was like, oh, he's hurry. Maybe it's like cancer. I was like hoping death on my dog back. And then my dad was on my shoulder because my dad does not like dog. He's like, just get rid of him, Abby. He needs to be on a farm running free and like, and I was like, you're right dad. I should. And good thing I didn't because I love him again. And he's an amazing dog. So give yourself a couple months. Maybe a year. You're just really overstimulated right now. But yeah, I like really, really strongly had dark thoughts about my dog for like six months. So just give us some time. I did finally crack and I owned up to it. I told like to put our dog on Craigslist. And if it was there by the end of the night, I was going to get rid of him. Because I'll shrink him out the door. There's just a very specific reason he hasn't bothered me at all. He eats my underwear. He eats every single one of them. Every single dirty pair of underwear. If it's in the hamper, digs it out of the hamper, eats it. And it's just the crop just gone out of all my personal underwear. And I've had to reorder too many. And so I was just and I one day couldn't find a pair of underwear. That sent me that really sent me. I had a towel on. I just take a shower right couldn't find a pair of underwear. That weren't like granted. So that one sent me. Now I have to close my closet door so that he can't eat my underwear. I said that her hamper needs a fingerprint ID. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Briso eats underwear. It's the other things. Yeah. Always. Which not for a while. But I mean, I made a whole video about the things my dog eats. The list is extensive. I have an unpopular opinion. I do think getting a dog like all the puppy stage wasn't easy. I do think getting it once you have they don't have a baby and you have a gap between your kids. It's kind of wasn't bad. No pretzel will overstimulate you. Okay. But pretzel doesn't bark that much. And I think that is what that's what really over said me. And then it would be like, I'd be so exhausted. I finally get the kids down to sleep and I'd sit down to work and then lose to be at the door going. Let me out. I'm like, you go out. I'm so hold it. I don't know. It's like she got trained too. So I feel like that also really helped. I don't think Lewis is trained. No. He knows tricks. Yeah. He knows tricks, but he's not trained. I mean, also like formally trained like she went to college. She's working school. It did help. And she, I think it changed her whole temperament. She was less anxious. So she's less anxious. I feel like she's just more chill now. Yeah. She's a great dog. And Lewis is a great dog. But you know, pretzel is great. No walks. Just give it a couple more months. You'll feel differently about your dog. So keep your dog. Abby and Abby. My name is also Abby. And I have a question for you. And it's how do you move past the friendship as an adult that you feel like you've outgrown? When the time has changed things and their relationships like more draining than this. And how do you move past that? And how do you feel that space? Love y'all. Thank you. She's got to hope they move. I don't know. No, I'm just kidding. Bye. No, that's a really good question. I like that's hard. That's always hard to navigate. And if it I'd be curious if it's a relationship. If where you can have like natural space kind of just come in and ease things out. And you can just kind of let you guys grow apart. I feel like that's usually my passive aggressive. I don't think so though. I think that's the kindest way to do it because I don't know if like any time you if you were being honest, which I would say honest is usually the best approach, telling someone that you feel like you've outgrown them is not. No, it's not nice. That's not going to be well received. And that would also that would be hurtful. Super. But it's true for you. That's what's true. And like we can also say that. But I would say if there's ever I'm not speaking from my own experience really, but my advice would always be when someone's like I'm not enjoying. I'm not gaining anything. This friendship is draining like I would just say create space. Naturally and gradually. Yeah. And I think that's also like for them to it's like that gives them some time to find other friends. And I'll just be like I just had this friendship just like ripped off I like I'm craving community in life. like this person just completely disappeared on me. And so they can finally, like they can move a different direction too. And I feel like that's honestly how life naturally moves you through friends too. - Right, there's nothing natural or unnatural or wrong about that. - Totally. - I think it's a tip and maybe this is bad, but you just need to be a little bit more intentional about like the scheduling of how often you hang out, like instead of, oh just come on over, whatever, be like, oh, things are really crazy, but like, hey, two weeks from now on a Wednesday, do you want to hang out? - Make it more formal. - More formal. - More formal, relational. - Yeah. - And that way you're still like hanging out, 'cause maybe you do like this person, and you still want to be friends, and you don't want to fully cut them off, but you don't need to be as tight as inner circle. And so just spacing out the time that you're going to hang out, probably a good way to do it. - Yeah. - I don't think that's passive aggressive. - Oh, very good. - Hi Abby, Abby, and Abby. My name is Jenna, I'm 21. I'm almost 32 weeks pregnant, and I'm going to be a first time mom. I'm also going to be a single mom, so I was wondering what recommendations or tips you have for like a bedside cart, or nighttime feeding, what you think I should keep at bedside, and just some good tips for those kinds of things. So thank you. - Yeah, I feel like everyone uses those like key cards or whatever, target cards. You had a good setup. I feel like-- - I didn't need the whole cart. It actually was kind of stressful for me to think about filling it. I just had a little caddy, and that was enough for me, and I had diapers, and wipes, and like one onesie, and-- - A period bottle. - See, I kept it by my bedside for-- I'm thinking more nighttime feedings, so I didn't keep a period bottle in there. And then I had Belvita. That was my one thing, is I had a lot of snacks. You don't need as many snacks in there as you think. - A lot, right. - Well then I was just eating so much at night when I wasn't hungry. I was just eating 'cause they were there, and I was like, I should eat them. I had my Belvita, and I was like, next time that's all I'll do. - I really liked having a lot of drinks. That were like really hydrating, 'cause breastfeeding and postpartum in general, I feel like you're just really thirsty. - Totally. - Having a lot of drinks accessible at night time. Just having everything as handy. Probably more so for a baby. I feel like at that point it was like-- - Yeah. - Bottle, pinky, diaper, wipes, everything. Here's my other thing, don't worry about, I know I said I'm having a lot of gadgets as pregnancy, but I'm talking about ones that will make more so make it quicker for me to take care of the baby and not make it feel like I have to do a million steps. There's a difference between those gadgets, because I think some of the gadgets that I'm like-- - They're not easy to work. - I'm like, I feel like that is a scam, and also just making you feel like you need to do more, then you don't, I'm not gonna heat up the bass in it. There's a lot of gadgets that are like, that's just adding more steps for me. I'm more like, how can we get simplify? - Simplify. - Simplify, and that's what the gadget is gonna simply streamline that process. And so I think for like your case, having a game plan, it's hard 'cause if it's a first time, you really can't have a game plan as much, but early on established, how can I streamline this and systemize it as much as possible? Because for me, it was really stressful waking up in the night, I don't know, I remember just being like, oh my gosh, what are we doing right now? I was really caught off guard. I'm a deep sleeper too, so when I would wake up, I was like, what do I do? Like, streamlining it is like, okay, first, I start feeding one side, diaper change, other side. Making it just like I do this, and then I do this, and then I do this, and then I do this, and then I put you back into bed. That made it feel way more manageable when it felt really overwhelming, because let's be honest, we have to be real like, it is so amazing having a baby, but it is really overwhelming at the beginning when you're waking up all the time. Like, that is an overwhelming feeling, and especially in the middle of the night, when you're tired, and the sun is down, that feeling of overwhelming, I would get those, what do they call it? So I'm downstairs? Night time's scary. Just systemize as much as possible, and then that'll help you kind of figure out what you need to like physically buy your bedside. I really hope you have someone that you can like, reach out to, and don't be afraid to reach out to someone. If there's anything from this episode, I hope that no one thinks that way. I'm like, complaining or think that it's not a good idea to have many children, because it's the opposite of my thinking. My goal was simply to make everyone that feels like, any type of guilt or shame or overwhelm, to not feel alone in that, because that I think is the thing that makes it feel the most impossible. And like, I think sometimes people look at us and like, I put, it's a lot of a highlight reel on media when we put out, and it's like, hey, we needed help. Like, yeah, I needed a lot of help. And so I think it's just remembering that everyone needs help. And doing it yourself, I just want to encourage you. Like, you're gonna be, you will know exactly what your baby needs, and maybe it won't come in the way that you expect it to. But like, your nurses are gonna teach you a lot at the hospital. So don't worry, like, if you feel like you're going in, you know nothing, I feel like my nurse has taught me so much. My pediatrician taught me so much. The internet will teach you a lot. Like, whoever's helping you will teach you a lot. And you're, I think you're gonna be amazed with yourself and how strong you are, how resilient you are. And that, knowing that like, hey, I stepped up to the plate when it was time gives you such a confidence in yourself that I think you're gonna feel so empowered with. And I'm praying that over you, and I'm really excited for you. And this baby, you're gonna have an amazing relationship with this baby, so. - Have something for you too that makes you just happy. Like, for me, like, having my Kindle on dark mode and during those feedings at night, I was like, I can't wait to get back to my book. Like, that made me feel excited, it was like, obviously bonding with my baby was like really exciting, but at night I was like, I don't wanna bond. - I just watched TikToks. - We're like a show or something. - TikToks have a show, have it. - So I had my AirPods, so then I would-- - Just a music. - So I could listen to a show, we're scrollin' TikTok. I think with that too, is-- - Turn on Google light. - Yeah, with like, you saying that it's a highlight real on social media, I would say, at least for the first seven days, I did something different every single night with that. - Yeah. - And I did have a partner, so it was a little different, like Blake, I think slept in bed with me the first night, and then I needed him to get Briel, because I couldn't get up out of bed, so I needed him to get her for me. The next night, I think I wanted to breastfeed on the couch, 'cause it was most comfy for me, so Blake slept on the couch with Briel, and then I would walk out there and do it, and then the next night, when I was like, that doesn't make sense, I put her back in the room, and I had Blake wake up and do her diaper, and I was like, that doesn't make sense, and so every single night, we changed it until we found the routine that worked for us, so I feel like that's something to make you feel a little bit better. - Yeah, every single night could be completely different, figuring out what your rhythm looks like. - Yeah, don't be afraid to switch things up or try new things. - Yes, yes. - I also didn't actually dread nights as much as I thought I would. I actually was like, and I'm a really deep sleeper, there's just something in you and your babies there, you're like, I'm up. - Oh, no, I would be like, I'm up right away, but it would freak me out. - It was actually like six weeks after that I was like, oh shoot, I didn't wake up. But the first six weeks, you're like, I'm up, let's go. - I'm still like that, baby. If one of my kids wakes up, I'm like 100% awake. - No, I'm not like that anymore. - Blake is not like that, and has never been, like he's like, I was like, did you hear preel last night, waking up at 2am, he's like, what? - He'll wake me up, he's like, you hear that? I'm like, not like that. - It literally gets the point where I wake up, it literally gets the point where I wake up, like 60 seconds before they make a sound. - Yeah. - I swear, where I'm literally like, oh it's amazing. A mother's intuition. - I know it's kind of a nightmare adrenaline. - It isn't adrenaline. - Or you wake up and you haven't heard anything, you'd look at the monitor, their eyes are open, and you're like, - Oh, no. - What is that, what is that, what is that? - But he has been doing that with her naps, and I'm like, oh, she's laughing at me. - I'm like, you got it right. - Was it someone's kid? I was literally watching the monitor of their kid and their guys, they were like, asleep the whole time and she goes, (laughing) - Almost angel. - That's fun. - Ah! - Oh, he's awake. (laughing) - The way their eyes blow in the monitors are so funny. - Oh my gosh, it's so scary. - That's a great question. We are rooting for you. - Yeah. - That's it for Wixiel's. - Okay, that's great. - Okay, let's, for always hungry. - I was literally just not just saying let's whip out always hungry. (laughing) - Wixiel's out. - Up with us. - And my brain isn't working. So, but in Florida, I made these cinnamon roll bites. - Oh. - That were really delicious. - I mean, I really want some cinnamon. Everyone's been asking me to make some more. - Really? - When you're ready. - I'm ready. I like baking. - I'm always saying this 'cause you told me you like when I ask. - Last time we asked recipes. - For pretzel bites and we had pretzel bites. - Yeah. - I'm gonna make cinnamon rolls. - I need to get my sourdough going back again. - Oh. - That could be your dessert. - No, it's really easy to get it going back again. That's why I was like, "Gester, why are they knocking people "for putting their sourdough in?" - Like you said, he's gonna make a sourdough start with their recipe. (gasping) - Why is he making a starter that is so offensive to me when I have starter? Anyway, this was a really easy recipe. So I've made something similar to this before and it was way too overly sweet. I was like kind of grossed out, but this one's actually made with rose rolls. - I love rose rolls. - They're delicious and this made it really easy and it was still really sweet but not overly sweet 'cause somebody's actually used like literal canned cinnamon rolls and you're like, "This is so, so much going on." It was delicious, it was really easy too. And you can prep it. What I did was I completely prepped it the night before I stuck it in the fridge and baked it in the morning and it was really yummy. - Good, yeah. - And it was, it's called like the inside of the cinnamon roll. It's literally like you're eating a bunch of like the nucleic acid. - That's the best part. My recipe is what I made Caleb on Father's Day. - I wanna make that. - Chicken chili with a pumpkin and cornbread across. It's very easy to make, like super simple. And you top it with guacamole, sour cream. - Oh wow, I was expecting that. - No, it's like a sourdough. It's almost like a taco skillet, almost. - With pumpkin cornbread? - It just works. I don't know. - Okay. - It's ambitious kitchens and you know, it's flavorful, you know, it's good. - Okay. - Yeah. - It's a 10, I've made it many times. Well, those are our recipes. You guys, if you try them, let us know. Join our Patreon always here. Or always a hungry chat and get more recipe inspiration. I've been getting some of my recipes from there too. - Yeah, you guys have great-- - Hey, I used one of Abby's recipes if you're using the meatball recipe with whatever else is with it, shredded cheese, can't buy it, got it graded. - Shredded Montserrat cheese, can't buy that. - For cheese and milk. - All right, my cheese and milk. Did you know that? - It says wood chips. - Yeah, that's what tastes like wood chips. - Hey! - Oh my gosh. - It's dust, it's like dust. - You said if you're gonna do it, you have to wash it off. - If you're gonna use-- - That seems like a wash your cheese. - Yeah. - You guys, I've only ever eaten store-bought shredded cheese. - Well, you can't with this recipe or doesn't melt. - You're not even actually crunchy. - I'm not even, I know. I'm like, I said, I was taking this to the day. I'm like, I'm 80/20. - You're eating more cheese. - 20% crunchy, 80% not. You know, if you're like, 80/20, 80% healthy, I'm like, 80% not crunchy. - Okay, well, you guys, we are so grateful for you. And if you guys would like to leave us a review, we would exceptionally like that. - We would make that one. - That would make us really happy. Summary:
