Speaker 1hello and welcome to episode 1034 of the official establish the run.com podcast my name is adam levitan i am one of the co-founders here at etr as always joined by co by fellow co-founder evan silva week five is behind this evan how's it going
Speaker 2it was a really fun week five um sundays continued to be for the poly bros you had a sick pull-up play in jaylen warren who by the way right now across the nfl ranks third in the nfl in yards from scrimmage behind only the number one overall pick in all fantasy drafts jameer gibbs and the number two overall pick in all fantasy drafts bijan robinson um but yeah a lot to get to today we're off to a great start i think entering week six with four teams
Speaker 1on by indeed on today's show we are going to go team by team through all 32 nfl franchises discussing the most important things we saw in each and what it means going forward usage injuries performance everything quick note before we get into it here today the nba season starts in one week we cover the nba with the same intensity we cover the nfl our nba product is led by drew inkmeyer and mike gallagher if you are interested in the hoops we have three products at etr best ball product draft kit product and nba in season so head to establish the run.com and the nba and the nba subscribe page for details that is the nba product at establish the run.com all right going to start with the five biggest stories of the week and then we will go team by team in alphabetical order after that story number one we have to start with the steelers rico dowdle was out again with a toe injury so you know what that meant time for one of the best running backs in the entire nfl to do his thing jaylen warren goes off here on the colts 15 carries 101 yards and a touchdown rushing six catches 87 receiving yards and another touchdown steelers beats steelers beat colts 34 22 the big question comes up is what is the nba product and what is the nba product and what is the nba product and coming out of that game was what will happen when rico dowdle returns which is likely week six we had actually a lot of commentary around that coming out of the game we can talk about what mccarthy said we can talk about what rogers said evan how do you think this goes now for jaylen warren
Speaker 2well right after the game mike mccarthy was asked by reporters well what's going to happen when rico dowdle comes back and mike mccarthy was like well we're gonna you know we're gonna have a one-two punch it's gonna be nice to have rico dowdle back and then we're gonna have a one-two punch and aaron rogers spoke about jaylen warren and he had this to say first of all he's one of the best people i've ever been around he genuinely cares about his teammates he cares about this game does things the right way the first guy rarely brings him down he's so dynamic with the ball in his hands i keep coming back to the kind of teammate he is that's why everybody loves him wants to block hard for him blocks downfield for him we want to get him the ball and then after aaron rogers said those things mike mccarthy came out and said well this is going to be our featured guy going to win this game we're going to have a one-two punch it's going to be a one-two punch
Speaker 1going forward yeah so the exact mike mccarthy quote that evan's referring to is jaylen is our featured player right now let's make sure we all recognize that he's hot he's playing great football for us so it's important for us as an offense coaches and players alike to continue to continue to put him in position to make plays that won't change you know sometimes i watch these coach speak or i think it's kind of a leading question and i don't buy it i watch this one and shout out this clip i thought mike mccarthy was telling the truth and i rarely think nfl coaches are telling the truth when they stand up there in press conferences especially about player usage i thought he was and so we are going to have i think a pretty big bump here on jaylen warren in the rest of season top 150 if he's truly going to be the one and they are going to relegate rico daddle to the two which frankly if you have two eyes i don't know how you couldn't do that now previous coaching staffs don't have two eyes they have not let jaylen warren who might be better than austin eckler like maybe better previous staffs have not done this so i don't want to say it's definite but i feel really good right now about jaylen warren the fact of the
Speaker 2matter is with jaylen warren he's been one of the best all-purpose running backs in the nfl for a long time however he had these obstacles in his way he was undrafted we always we know that those players there's always something working against them from a playing time the gm doesn't always have their back because they get credit from the owners for when they hit draft picks he had the arthur smith stuff working against him he had uh the steelers drafting naji harrison the first round working against him he had one year where he was he kind of played through a high ankle sprain um and now he gets the opportunity just runs away but he's always been an awesome tackle breaker he's always been really good in the passing game he's always been one of the best pass blocking running backs in the nfl he's now getting that opportunity and he's capitalizing and i expect him to continue to be successful in this role going forward he's the best player in the steelers offense and the steelers have an offensive line that is blocking out the sun right
Speaker 1now yeah shout out chalk up another win for the fantasy bros man on the running back stuff i mean all we wanted was a full-time role for kenneth walker seattle would not give it to him chiefs would look what happened all we wanted is a full-time role for jaylen warren never could happen until now look what's going on so yeah really exciting stuff there the other pittsburgh story i had evan was at wide receiver michael pittman is on ir return due to his foot injury slot man roman wilson had zero catches before leaving deep in the second quarter with a finger injury he's expected to miss multiple weeks so it was a great spot for jeremy bernard and he delivered 32 routes on 34 rogers dropbacks jeremy bernard out targeted dk metcalf in this game nine to four jeremy bernard six catches 80 yards no touchdowns he won't always get the colts at home but i thought this was a good was really exciting for jeremy bernard evan how sticky do you think the bernard stuff is i think
Speaker 2it can be very sticky i think that jeremy bernard was not considered coming out of alabama a super high upside prospect but he was considered a technician and if you remember the steelers wanted to draft makai lemon in the first round to fill that slot receiver role they were leapfrogged by howie roseman and the eagles they came back in the second round and they made it happen with jeremy bernard who they probably just had a couple notches down below makai lemon on their draft board not only is um michael pitman out on ir and roman wilson now expected to miss time with a finger injury but they also lost ben skoranek who was playing snaps for them you know it doesn't really matter to us but he was playing snaps at wide receiver so yeah jeremy bernard i mean he's going to get a full workload i think here for the foreseeable future i also think that i know i've been pushing pat fryer muth but i mean he came through here on this past week five for 44 and two touchdowns he had a touchdown the week before he also benefits from this attrition at
Speaker 1wide receiver in pittsburgh yep and uh if you guys are following me on twitter at adam levitan on twitter i quote tweeted this nick farabaugh tweet basically what he was saying is aaron rogers literally had an extensive quiz for jerry bernard ahead of this game about coverages and where to be and what to do on specific routes for different coverages and rogers came away super impressed with bernard and so all this stuff about like rogers doesn't throw to rookies he's throwing a jury bernard man and i i think he likes him so
Speaker 2agree and i know that you had a tweet about this and we've been talking about this for years and years but you earn the trust of aaron rogers you get in that trust circle with him good things are going to happen for you he's made people he's made players he's made coaches rich throughout the nfl for years and years and i think he still has the ability to do it with jeremy bernard with pat fryer muth with jaylen warren with these guys that he
Speaker 1absolutely trusts yep all right story two let's go to the arizona cardinals cardinals lost the game again they're now one and four we'll get to the game in a minute but i wanted to hit on the big trade first on saturday i guess it was sunday it was officially announced cardinals trade former number four overall pick marvin harrison jr aka marvin harrison's son to the texans for a 2027 round two pick in a late round pick swap evan what was your initial reaction on the cardinals side of this trade i mean i had
Speaker 2expected you know and kind of hoped that marvin harrison jr would get a change of scenery i did not think that the cardinals would get a second round pick for him though um i think that that was what was going to happen i think that that was going to happen i think that that was a job well done by monty austin ford who probably isn't going to have his job for very much longer but i've always respected the trades that he has made and i think he won this he took advantage of a fairly desperate houston texans team um who had that connection with marvin harrison in terms of cj stroud and also had the wide receiver need ever since losing jayden higgins but um all right what do you want you want to talk about the cardinals fallout like the the immediate fallout was actually It's true that Jalen Brooks, 2023 7th round pick of the Dallas Cowboys jumped into that sacrificial X role where Marvin Harrison was doing nothing and Jalen Brooks is going to do nothing. He's not much of a prospect at all. And Kendrick Bourne sort of stayed in his previous role but did get targeted heavily. He had 4 for 62 at halftime. I was a little disappointed because he was my pull-up play. He only finished with 5 for 70, but he paid off at his price tag. And I think that he will be a fairly usable – the thing is that we've got potential quarterback change on the horizon in Arizona. So we're going to have to wade our way through that. What is Carson Beck going to be like? Because that's common. Jacoby Brissett has not played well here in consecutive games, and the reporters are already putting – hey, how much longer are you going to do this with Jacoby Brissett? Will Carson Beck be able to be successful in this offense with – you know, no left tackle. With injuries, you know, at the guard positions. With struggling right tackle on Elijah Wilkinson. You know, we've got a lot of moving parts here on the horizon in Arizona.
Speaker 1Yeah, it's scary. And the schedule is something we talked about. Cardinal schedule before the season is something we talked about. Their next few games, they play at Rams versus Broncos. They get a Cowboys game, but then Seahawks, Rams again, at Chiefs. I mean, I don't know that Brissett's going to survive this, and that would clearly be very, very bad, I think, for a lot of people. A lot of Cardinals stuff. Now, I did have a thought, Evan, that I wanted to run by you, and people think I'm taking, like, cheap shots at Marvin Harrison. I actually am somewhat concerned about this. What if Jalen Brooks and Kendrick Bourne get open and earn targets at a higher rate than Marvin Harrison did? That would be bad for Michael Wilson, and I absolutely love Michael Wilson, but I'm not sure that removing Marvin Harrison is actually good for Michael Wilson because Kendrick Bourne and Jalen Brooks are better. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. at earning targets and getting open. So I'm not selling Michael Wilson. I think he's awesome, but there's at least in my thought, hey, it might be Carson Beck, and B, maybe having Marvin Harrison out there was actually good for Michael Wilson. So yeah, I don't want to be too controversial here, but it was at least on my mind.
Speaker 2I mean, I think that absolutely Kendrick Bourne is going to get open more and earn more targets than Marvin Harrison. I mean, I think absolutely. And will the Cardinals not throw the ball as much? Will they be even less efficient when they have a rookie, a third-round rookie under center? I mean, yeah, that's, we don't know what's going to happen with the Arizona skilled position players going forward. I mean, on down to Jeremiah Love, who again, you know, this team falls behind. Tyler Algier is going to be the running back in the backfield. And Mike LaFleur has made that clear that he does not trust Jeremiah Love in pass protection. They are paying Tyler Algier a decent amount of money. They like him in pass protection. They think he's a solid back. And the Cardinals are going to be playing a lot of games from behind. They have allowed the most points in the NFL so far this season. And there's really no help on the way for their defense either. I mean, it's a season that is already spiraling, already circling the drain.
Speaker 1I think that's an important point on Jeremiah Love that he does not play, or at least right now, he's not playing in garbage time because much of your Cardinals production comes in garbage time. Just like 2025, much of your production this year has come in garbage time also. Trey McBride, got there late in this game with an insane touchdown catch in the fourth. It was fourth down. There's two minutes left. They're down 45 to 14. McBride makes this insane touchdown catch. Jeremiah Love is not getting that. Now, early in the game, before it got out of hand, Jeremiah Love was up 10 to 1 over Algier on touches, but just horrific efficiency. 12 carries for 22 yards for Jeremiah Love in this game against the Lions and zero catches on one target. So yeah, I mean, number four overall pick, Marvin Harrison was so bad they had to trade him. And number three overall pick, Jeremiah Love, very, very disappointing start. All right. Story number three, I want to do the other side of the trade. So we'll go to the Texans now. They got their first win of the season. Defense finally plays to their talent level. They beat the Titans 26 to 3. It seemed to me like they were waiting to see if they won this game before announcing the trade. So as soon as the game's over, D'Amico Ryans gets up to the, to the mic and he's like, oh, you guys want to know? Fine. I'm trading for Marvin Harrison. And he just walks away. This is, Evan, the final exam for the shower narrative. Can the shower narrative between Marvin Harrison and CJ Stroud, of course, they played two seasons together at Ohio State. Can the shower narrative revive the dead Marvin Harrison? Evan, what's your outlook for Mazda in Houston?
Speaker 2Well, for the past four years, you know who's been showering with CJ Stroud a lot more than Marvin Harrison has been showering with CJ Stroud? His name is Nico Collins. So that's going to be the biggest issue, I think, for Marvin Harrison to jump in and be any kind of a fantasy factor. I mean, I think that, I don't know, if they can get him ramped up and all that stuff, you know, at the end of the day, like this team is still built around their defense. They are still built around, and I know that running game hasn't been successful, although I think it's going to be more successful now that Dave Montgomery is going to be out for a while because he was, he's toast. And I think Woody Marks will be at least a little bit better. And CJ Stroud has been throwing the ball pretty well. But this team is still, and we saw D'Amico Ryans takes over the play, calling from Matt Burke. And boom, I mean, the narrative just hit right away that they smashed the Titans. I mean, nobody can block Will Anderson. He's the heavy favorite for DPOY. They give up three points. That's how the offense, that's how the team is built. It's built around their defense. And not to, like, not to be an offense that can support more than one or one and a half pass catchers on a weekly basis. And Dalton Schultz is still there. And Jalen Knoll has been balling out for a couple of weeks now. So it's not a good fantasy situation for Marvin Harrison Jr. Also, I want to give a shout out to Jared Smola of DraftSharks. He does a lot of good stuff on X and on Twitter. And he went back and looked at, all the wide receivers that have gotten traded during the season and what they did the rest of the way for the rest of that season. And no one has done anything. So the odds are really heavily stacked against Marvin Harrison Jr. being any kind of a fantasy asset for the rest of this season. Maybe down the road, although Jaden Higgins is coming back. So it's really not a good fantasy situation at all, even if you're a dynasty owner of Marvin Harrison Jr.
Speaker 1Yeah. Well, I have a few thoughts here. First of all, I thought the Texans agree with Evan, gave up way too much in this deal. The 2027 draft class is expected to be very strong. The Texans are one in four. Like you're giving up a 2027 round two pick. They will be getting Jaden Higgins back from the ACL next year. They have Nico Collins. They have Jalen Knoll. I actually thought it would have been nice for the Cardinals to get Jalen Knoll back in this deal, but they didn't. I also think like you can't give up a round two pick for a sacrificial X. So like, how are they going to play this? You give a round two pick. Is he going to take away some of those valuable crossers or valuable in breakers that Nico Collins runs so well? I can't fathom that. So I don't really see the point of this deal here, especially at a round two cost. I'd love to see Jalen Knoll get the ball more. Like Evan said, he's balling. He had, he ran 20 routes in this game on Sunday. That was second most among wide receivers behind Nico. He's kind of rotating. He's in the slot, but he's rotating with booty and Hutchinson. So yeah, I'm interested to see how it plays out. It's just, I agree with Evan. I it's hard to be excited. And I doubt if somebody dropped Marvin Harrison, we'll talk about it more in rest of season, top one 50, but I'm not that excited about picking him up. The other big story was out of Houston was the one we alluded. Evan alluded to David Montgomery pulled his groin in this game. They're calling him week to week. D'Amico Ryan's was asked how he's going to handle running back going forward. He said, Woody has made major leap since last season. Woody will carry the load. Woody is dynamic player. Woody marks out. Snap Daria going to wobbly 56 to one on Sunday. Now, Woody marks fail, had this role last year, Evan, you know, they weren't prepared. Joe Mixon went down. They have Woody marks. He was in this role. He was barely usable in fantasy, despite getting like 15, 16, 17 touches in a game. Would you feel comfortable starting Woody marks here on your fantasy team in the near term?
Speaker 2I think that in an ideal world, Woody marks who you probably got in like the 13th or the 14th round, if not off of waivers, although he should have never been on waivers, even in like 10 team leagues, he should, he should have been on somebody's bench. Um, you know, you didn't pay a whole lot for him, so you don't feel like you need to plug him in. I think he's a flex option during the bi-week crunches, which we're in that now. Yeah. Um, I think that that's what he is. I don't, I think he's like a low end RB two, slash flex. Um, I think that what we, what we would really like to see from Woody marks this season that we didn't get out of him last season. You remember he caught like 290 passes or something in his college career. He has a couple of games with, yeah, he has one game with four targets in one game with six targets. Yes. So they've been using him a little bit more as a receiving back this season than they did last year. I think that's what you're really hoping for though, that he can be a PPR asset.
Speaker 1This run game has been broken for so long. Different coaches, different offensive players of lines different running backs it just always seems broken I don't I want to leave room for guys like Woody Marks to get better I did not think he was good as a rookie I want to leave room for him to get better in this feature role I think we're probably going to have a decently big projection on him just because he's going to get so much work they play the Jaguars this week then Giants then Chargers certainly not a good matchup here against the Jaguars but yeah we're going for a lot of work efficiency is going to be another story but we're going to have Woody Marks for a lot a lot of work here coming up in week six let's go to story number four it is the Washington Commanders big news here was the return of Jaden Daniels from another left elbow dislocation it was a very good return I mean Jaden Daniels did not appear worried at all about the elbow he ran nine times for 103 yards and two touchdowns he took five sacks and was fine that was encouraging of course you 's Jaden and the Commanders bungled the last seconds of overtime in maybe the worst way I've ever seen in my life but you know is what it is Evan what do you think of Jaden Daniels return to
Speaker 2the saddle that was my big concern was Jaden Daniels going to be able to run like he has historically was he going to be willing to do that coming you know worried about the second left elbow dislocation and he was not worried at all the Giants got a ton of pressure on him in this game as you mentioned in the five sacks the Giants came into this game with the lowest pressure rate in the NFL and I think they were but I mean they were bottom three in sacks for sure they might have the fewest sacks in the league entering this game they generate a ton of quick pressure that's just going to be life you know uh for a quarterback playing behind an offensive line that lost its best offensive lineman before the season in Laramie Tunsell but very encouraging from a fantasy standpoint that Jaden Daniels was willing to run let's hope he lasts
Speaker 1yeah the the other thing about this was he did not have Stefan Diggs uh Diggs was out with a hamstring I'm not sure about his status for week six also Terry McLaurin was a bit limited only 28 routes on 37 dropbacks for Terry McLaurin uh he came into the game as a game time decision so it was a lot of Antonio Williams and Traylon Burke's out there running routes when Jaden is running like this and he has McLaurin healthy and he has Diggs Jake Jones can be a real real nice very nice fantasy asset they play commanders uh sorry they play Niners Eagles Rams in their next three do the commanders so story five I want to go to Denver here Evan one of the big stories of week five was Sean Payton taking back play calling from Davis Webb we already mentioned that the D'Amico Ryan's taking back defensive play calling for the Texans Sean Payton taking back offensive play calling for the Broncos did not solve anything Broncos did squeak past the pathetic Chargers 2317 but the offense was bad 3.9 yards per play for the Broncos against the Chargers Bo Nix continues to look terrible 123 passing yards in this game it's getting concerning for Broncos offense Evan how concerned are you what do you think of Sean Payton taking back the rate
Speaker 2extremely concerned extremely concerned I think the Broncos are showing that they're concerned about Bo Nix because of their play calling uh at this point I mean because they know that he is unwilling to pull the trigger when even on guys that are open downfield um they tried to really force it with J.K Dobbins in this game which didn't look too great through three quarters although J.K Dobbins had six carries for 41 yards in the fourth zone and that really helped I mean the Broncos came back and won this game this game was sucked I mean Chargers and the Broncos are like impossible to watch um and that's really sad because I had high hopes for both of those offenses entering the season Bo Nix again we've talked about it unwilling to run he doesn't have a game with over 10 rushing yards so far this season last year he averaged 21 rushing yards per game so that game that part of his game has just been completely eliminated and um yeah I mean he's he's a real he's a bad quarterback right now he's 29th out of 30 qualified quarterbacks in QBR Bo Nix is one of the worst quarterbacks in the league I thought
Speaker 1that with Sean Payton taking back control he would put an emphasis on getting Jalen waddle going this was a guy that gave up round one round three pick four Jalen waddle only had two catches for 19 yards on five targets I also thought maybe under Sean Payton play calling we'd expand RJ Harvey's role even more RJ Harvey's role was worse he got three carries and zero catches on one Target Harvey only ran 13 routes on 29 Bo Nix dropbacks the big thing that Sean Payton did is what Evan mentioned more JK Dobbins runs up the middle like all right dude you beat the Chargers I'm going to the game on Thursday by the way Evan I am going full-blown laundry bro Broncos hosting Seahawks uh hosting Seahawks on Thursday I'm going I don't want to see 20 JK Dobbins runs up the middle against the Seahawks so yeah I really hope um they turn around but it's not good right now um oh one other thing to flag this was the first game with Pat Bryant on IR return Sutton 24 routes waddle 23. it was Franklin Troy Franklin uh in the in the Bryant role for 18 routes little Jordan Humphrey Marvin Mims for the scraps let's go to the NFC now start with the Atlanta Falcons this was the Sunday night and it was yet another insane Island game we have had so many insane Monday night Sunday night Thursday night games this season Falcons lost this one to the Ravens 30 to 23 in overtime I thought the Ravens did a good job on Bijan Robinson like all things considered how good Bijan Robinson is only 118 yards on 21 touches no touchdowns that's like a disappointing game for Bijan at this point but yeah Evan what do you think of Falcons performance on Sunday night
Speaker 2yeah Bijan Robinson obviously came into this game rolling but he faces off with nandi marabuike and Roquan Smith and Broderick Washington and Travis Jones who has developed into the one of one of the best defensive tackles in the league and they stop him up pretty good um all things considered I mean he still averaged 5.1 yards per carry but these days like that is good um you know that that's good defense against Bijan uh Bijan Robinson um this Falcons this fast Falcons rushing attack has been absolutely rolling this season but I think it's still bankable moving forward you want to bet on the scheme you want to bet on what Kevin Stefanski is doing you want to bet on the town of Bijan Robinson a slow game where he goes for over 100 yards from scrimmage that's a win
Speaker 1yeah only other note that I had on this game was the Michael Penix Drake London connection is just so wild like we saw it last year the splits were so good for London with Penix since Penix got in there this year Drake London nine catches for 194 yards five catches for 96 and then seven for 118 here against the Ravens I mean as long as Penix can stay in there Drake London is an absolute baller Penix did take a hard shot to the ribs late in this game he left it for he left for a little but Falcons are optimistic that he'll be able to start in week six against the Bears very very very good matchup here from Penix
Speaker 2in London oh yeah real good matchup also plays to the perfectly to the strengths of Michael Penix that ability to throw the ball in the in the intermediate and deep areas of the field we'll talk about that when we get to the Bears and the Packers let's
Speaker 1go to the Panthers now Panthers were on a buy they will come out of the game to play the Eagles on Sunday it's kind of a nice spot for the Panthers I mean the Eagles are in disarray the Eagles are injured the Eagles are coming off a London game meanwhile Panthers will get or expected to get back Jalen Coker which is certainly good news for them and the cokehead Jalen Coker owners Evan any notes for you on Panthers as they come out
Speaker 2of their bike yeah also they're gonna get back their best offensive lineman Damian Lewis it sounds like from an elbow injury he had a UCL remember last year Darnell Wright had that I think he missed one game it looks like that's exactly what's going to happen to Damian Lewis um coming off the buy and also the Panthers might get Taylor Moton back their longtime stalwart right tackle who'd been out for the first five games of the season with blood clotting and he will be an immediate upgrade over Monroe freeling who may have a promising future but was a liability early in the season at right tackle
Speaker 1yep love it love it love it stuff too getting these offensive linemen back here as well let's go to the Bears Bears went with Tyson Bajent for this game at Lambeau on Sunday and they got absolutely stomped 31-7 I mean Bajent was so bad they finished the game with Case Keenum I'm sure this has sparked plenty of talk on sports talk radio in Chicago Evan what are your thoughts on the beat down the Packers gave the Bears on
Speaker 2Sunday yeah the Bears fans are in shambles these past two mornings I mean they're really struggling you know coach Ben is no to coach you know uh it's been it's been really rough uh on Chicago radio here and but all they want to talk about is the Tyson Bajent thing when really what they should be talking about is the state of the Bears defense because the Bears defense was an absolute fraud for the previous three weeks and just got bombed on. And this is why the Bears need Caleb back desperately because they're going to have to contend with teams that put a lot of points on them because they can't rush the passer and they don't have a secondary and they're not very good at linebacker either. But yeah, I mean, I would say obviously Ben Johnson made the wrong pick here. He acknowledged that during the game. He pulled Tyson Bajan out. He put Case Keenum in. They got Atlanta this week. And I don't know, the feeling right here as of Tuesday morning is that Case Keenum is going to be the Bears' starting quarterback in week six and that Caleb is not going to be ready. I still don't think you can rush back Caleb. I mean, he needs his legs. He was running at an incredible clip. He was one of the fastest players in the NFL before he went down. You want him to be comfortable running because that's a really big part of his game, not just. you know, running for yards, but running around and making plays, those second reaction plays. They're going to need everything that Caleb has to have to compensate for this terrible, terrible defense.
Speaker 1Yeah, I think that's a good point. I was kind of optimistic Caleb will be back here, but agree, they should not rush him. You know, I'm hopeful that he's back, but definitely should not rush Caleb. We will see on that one. It's really tough to evaluate the rest of the offense when the pass game plays like this. They don't have Caleb. And then the run game was playing without Menangai. I just, you know, Roshon Johnson might not be an NFL runner. And so. He's not. Yeah, so like when you lose Menangai, you kind of lose that one-two punch that you had with Swift and Menangai there. And I think that hurt them a bit as well in this game.
Speaker 2Yeah, I mean, it also hurt that the Bears fell behind 14 to nothing right out of the gate, you know? So they could not execute what they wanted to do offensively, which was pound the Packers with the run because they fell behind. They fell behind by two touchdowns after the first two drives.
Speaker 1Yep. Cowboys. This was an egregious performance by the Cowboys on Thursday night football. They were home. They were facing the 0-4 Bucs with Jalen Daniels under center. I mean, the Cowboys were horrific in all phases. They lose 24 to 16. The defense gave up 6.4 yards per play to Jalen Daniels' offense. Forced no turnovers. But the offense, the Cowboys' offense was bad. For three quarters also. They got hot late, but they were bad for three quarters also. Evan, this was a scary one for the Cowboys. What do you think of their game on Thursday night?
Speaker 2Yeah, for whatever reason, the Cowboys seem to have performances, like three or four of these kind of performances offensively every year, where they just lay a total egg in what seems like a great spot. I mean, this added up as a high, you know, where the Cowboys should put 35, on the Buccaneers. They were getting back Tyler Smith. C.D. Lamb was coming off, you know, one of the greatest receiver performances of the year. They got a huge receiving performance out of George Pickens. Dak Prescott was rolling. And they just played terribly offensively. And they continue to play terribly, terribly defensively to the extent that they're, like, making moves now. Like, they hired Mike Pettin as a defensive consultant. They're moving Christian Parker. From the field to the booth. You know, nothing has gone right for them defensively. But it's just, for whatever reason, the Cowboys do this a couple of times a year. They play so below expectation offensively a few times per season.
Speaker 1Yeah, I mean, if you own Dak or Lamb or Pickens, you don't really want the defense to get better. I mean, it's pretty good for them that their defense is so inept. But right now, I will note that C.D. left late with a quad issue. He wasn't really doing. much anyways. But man, after. I mean, George Pickens was already having a good game. Pickens was, like, the most obvious buy low ever heading into this week. But once Lamb left, I mean, Pickens started going nuclear. And obviously, that's what's always going to be happening. That's part of the bet. When you take George Pickens early round three, you have that contingent upside. 31% target share in this game for George Pickens. He came into the game with only a 19% target share. So, yeah, just good regression. You get the Lamb injury and. Nice job by Pickens in this game. Let's go to the Lions. This was an obvious erupt. I mean, every spot is an eruption spot for the Lions. But this was an obvious eruption spot for the Lions. They delivered. They put 45 on the Cardinals Sunday at their first road win of the season. We actually had Jameer Gibbs. I know I've said this before, but we had Jameer Gibbs with an even bigger projection. The biggest projection in the history of ETR for a skilled player we had on Jameer Gibbs this game. And he beat it. I mean, he had 25K. He carries 151 yards, two touchdowns rushing, 556-0 receiving. He's currently averaging 30.7 fantasy points per game. That's only behind Marshall Falk, Priest Holmes for full season. Obviously, Gibbs is going to struggle to maintain that pace full season, but maybe he can, man. Who knows? Evan, what do you think of Lions' win at Arizona?
Speaker 2Yeah, this is why you draft Lions players. You know, this is why you stay. You hold strong through the tough times in Jamison Williams. You know, this is why you draft Sam Laporta above ADP. Why you take, you know, 1.01, you take Jameer Gibbs every single time. Why you draft Jared Goff when people don't, you know, want to draft him in the 11th round. I mean, and also, and I would say that, and it's because we knew that their defense was going to be bad. We knew that they, everything looked perfect on offense. We also thought that the Lions' offensive line would rebound. They didn't have a very good offensive line. Last year, and it has not only just rebounded, but it's become one of the best offensive lines in the league again. And now the Lions are going on their bye week. And after their bye week, they're going to be getting back Cade Mays, who they made one of the highest paid centers in the league. And he hasn't even played a snap for them yet this year. So not only have the Lions been opening massive holes in the running game and protecting Jared Goff, but they've been doing. Now they're going to have depth. Because, you know, they're probably going to have to pull out like Juice Scruggs or something, who's been great for them, because they're going to have to play Cade Mays. But now they have depth. Scruggs can play any of the three interior positions. So you just feel so rock solid about everything having to do with the Lions right now.
Speaker 1And they've had a great schedule so far. It's not stopping. They have an amazing schedule all season. They lead the NFL at 32.8 points per game. Only like negative-ish note I had on Lions was the Jamison Williams targets. Just continue to not be there. I know he caught two balls in this game for two touchdowns. He only saw four targets. You know, we're only going to be able to get him to so many points in projection when he's only seeing 15, 16, 17% of the targets in a game. He's still going to have huge spike weeks because that's what he does. But I just wish they were throwing to him more. Packers. This was a very impressive performance by Jordan Love and the Packers Sunday. They beat the rival Bears 31-7. Packers pass game. This game was one of our biggest stands before the season. And that has played out really as we had hoped because they cannot run the ball. And the pass game has been extremely concentrated. Jordan Love, 24 of 31 for 367. Two touchdowns. No interceptions. Every time I tweet about Jordan Love, the Bears fans, they're like, the EPA king. They give me the EPA king meme. Jordan Love shredded them on Sunday on the field. Evan, what do you think of Packers game?
Speaker 2Yeah, I love seeing that. Double pie for the overconfident Bears fans. I mean, I know Pat Thorman has, you know, been sparring with the Bears fans too. I mean, I used to spar with them about, back when I used to tweet about Mitchell Trubisky. I mean, they really thought that Mitchell Trubisky was going to be really good. They hate Jordan Love. Anything positive about Jordan Love, they totally reject it. And then he just goes and drops bombs all over them all game long. Jordan Love in this game on passes, over 20 plus air yards, threw for 258 yards in this game. It was just bomb after bomb after bomb. Christian Watson is a dog too, by the way. I mean, he has developed into like a physical 50-50 ball contested catch winning receiver, which wasn't necessarily on his profile. Matthew Golden has been a breakout sophomore, classic breakout sophomore receiver. Tucker Kraft is a dog. This is now the second week in a row where the Packers offense of line has, has looked stable. And at this point, that's what we can ask. Can we just get some stability? Because you remember last week they went out and they signed Kevin Zeitler. They signed Lakin Tomlinson. They signed guys off the street who had started a bunch of games in the NFL. Just some stability because Jordan Love is a really good player. And Matt LaFleur coached, I mean, he out-coached Ben Johnson badly in this game to an embarrassing extent. I mean, it was disrespectful. Throwing the ball over and over, throwing bombs over and over again, all over the Bears. Terrible, terrible pass defense. I thought it was a thing. I mean, I picked the Packers to win and I bet on the Packers. So I was loving it from that standpoint, but I liked that. We, we, we got that sense of normalcy. We got what we expected. The PA the Bears defense is terrible and we loved the Packers passing game coming into the season. And they showed both of those things in this game.
Speaker 1Christian Watson is now fantasies number four. wide receiver in points per game behind only JSN. Puka, and CeeDee Lamb. And by the way, Matthew Golden is fantasy's number 17 wide receiver. Since Christian Watson solved his hamstring issues, all he's done is make big plays and crush. I also wanted to highlight the Kraft role. You know, since Jaden Reed has been down, their underneath option is Tucker Kraft. He had a 46-yard catch here. It looks really, really healthy. Oh, and by the way, for this past game, next three games, Cowboys, Lions, and Panthers.
Speaker 2Oh. It doesn't get better than that.
Speaker 1Last note, no news on Josh Jacobs. You know, people keep asking me, when's Josh Jacobs coming back? Do you know? What should I do about Josh Jacobs? I honestly don't know. Like, I wish I knew. I do not know. And they asked LeFleur about Josh Jacobs. He basically said he didn't know either. So, yeah, it is what it is on Josh Jacobs right now. Rams. Rams lose an insane game. Actually, it wasn't an insane game until the first game. But it turned out to be an insane game to the Bills last night. Rams lose 37-34 in overtime. Rams' offense was very good, as everyone expected in this game. It was the defense and the kicking game that really let them down. Evan, what do you think of Rams' performance on Monday Night Football last night?
Speaker 2Speaking of great game plans, Matt LeFleur obviously had a great one against the Bears. I thought that Sean McVay had it, and he's getting killed right now. But his game plan was, I think, perfect against the Bills who are super, like, so they have a great defensive line. A ton of talent. Greg Rousseau comes into the NFL, comes into Week 5 leading the NFL in sacks. Deion Walker, people are talking about him as the breakout defensive tackle of the year. Bradley Chubb. They got a bunch of talent up front, and that's even without Ed Oliver. And so what Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford do is they throw a ton of short passes to mitigate, that potential pass rush, and to hit the Bills where it really hurts, which is in the middle of the field where their linebackers have really, really struggled. Terrell Bernard in particular. That's why you see Puka Nakua with, what did he have, 24 targets? And, like, did he even go over 100 yards?
Speaker 117 catches, 138 yards, and a touchdown in this game for Puka on 24 targets.
Speaker 2Yeah, at one point I think he had, like, 18 targets and 96 yards or something like that. I mean, but it was just, it was the perfect game plan. It was the perfect game plan to attack the Bills. It should be a blueprint for other teams, I think. And the Rams just, they did what they wanted. They moved the ball up and down the field against the Bills with this perfect game plan. And, you know, in the end, Harrison, Mevis, whatever. But, you know, the way that Sean McVay drew this up, like, he's the reason that they were that competitive for the game to come down to that in the end. I mean, he had a great offensive game plan.
Speaker 1Um, breaking news into the show, Harrison Mevis has been released by the Rams. We are recording this, uh, Tuesday midday. Mevis gets the blame here. He has been released. Um, yeah, on Puka, you know, maybe the pre-hernia thing will eventually be a problem. But I know I've talked about this a ton on the SoloPod already this year. Like, in the age of endless information, knowing when to give in to the hysteria matters. Maybe there'll be a problem eventually. With Puka, the Rams clearly don't think it's going to be an issue. He has run 102 routes on 110 dropbacks in the last two games. He's seen 36 targets in the last two games. They're handing him the ball. He had a rushing touchdown. 3-11-1. So, I mean, last week. So, you know, I mean, he was really strong on Puka. Um, Kobe Parkinson was back last night. But Tyler Higby still dominated tight end pass catching usage with Terrence Ferguson still on the field. He's still on IR. Higby ran 36 routes on 56 Stafford dropbacks, only 19 for Parkinson. And yeah, I mean, Kyron Williams is catching so many passes. He's going to shatter his previous career high for catches. Last thing on Rams. I know they've had a tough schedule so far. They're still one of the Super Bowl favorites. Their next five games are Cardinals, Raiders, Chargers, Commanders, Cardinals, and then Packers. Like, they could easily go 6-0 their next six games. Vikings post a 23-13 win at New Orleans. Story remained the same. Vikings defense absolutely dominant. Aaron Jones impresses on a huge workload. Vikings are somehow 5-0. Evan, what do you think of their win at New Orleans?
Speaker 2Obvious context because the Saints defense, I mean, we didn't think it was going to be great or anything like that entering the season. I didn't think it was going to be this bad. I mean, it's a major, major liability. But Kyler Murray, and we talked about this, he had not been running. He really hadn't run in a while. Even dating back to previous seasons, he ran in this game. He ran 10 times for 51 yards. He had one run where he hit almost 21 miles per hour on the run. I mean, he's still got plenty of speed. And since the fourth quarter of week four, the final two possessions against Miami, Kyler is 37 of 44 passing, 84.1%. And he's got a lot of speed. For 349 yards, eight yards per pass attempt, a touchdown, and only two sacks taken. So he might be starting to find a rhythm. The Vikings are now going on a bye. They should get Jordan Addison back. They should get TJ Hawkinson, who left this game with a concussion, get him back. But to have Kyler Murray finally like maybe finding a rhythm, that's going to be huge for the Vikings because they played the best defense in the NFL so far. It's been the offense. It's been the defense. That has been a massive, massive question mark.
Speaker 1So this was the first full game of Kyler Murray and Justin Jefferson. It came with Jordan Addison out. Only a 23% target share here for Justin Jefferson. Certainly expect that to be much higher going forward. The encouraging part to me was he threw into triple coverage at Justin Jefferson. Like he knows where his bread is buttered. Jefferson six catches, 79 yards and a touchdown. They had the bye this week. And then Vikings have a very good schedule for Justin Jefferson. Lions, Bills, Packers, Colts. Next four games after the bye. Also after the bye, TJ Hawkinson hopefully back from the concussion he sustained in this game. Jordan Mason's back. Do you have a take, Evan, on how this goes with Jordan Mason? Because Aaron Jones has played very, very well. I mean, way better than I thought that he could in this four-game stretch. Do you have any thoughts how this goes after the bye?
Speaker 2Yeah, I am very confident that Jordan Mason is going to get his job back. And they're going to give him the ball like they've been giving it to Aaron Jones. I mean, Kevin O'Connell essentially came out and said that already this week. Like they're very excited to get back Jordan Mason. They want to play a certain way. They want to have a power running game. They should also get back Christian Derusaw who missed this game with a concussion. So there are dudes on the way back for the Vikings.
Speaker 1Yeah, good time for their bye. I think they're 5-0. Now they can reset and get going here with some more healthy guys after the bye. Saints, you know, I don't want to kill the Saints too hard here. The Vikings are probably the worst possible matchup for them for most offenses right now. But this was a Saints offense that was bad for much of the game against the Falcons in week four and then absolutely dreadful against the Vikings on Sunday. Tyler shucked through for 96 yards and got picked off twice. I know they were playing the Vikings, Evan, but any concern for you on Saints stuff right now?
Speaker 2Yeah, I had a doubt. I had a decision. I had a start-sit decision on Sunday morning. Tyler shucked or Jordan loved. And I've been riding Tyler shuck. Trusted the matchup analysis. Went with Jordan loved. That was a huge, huge swing. Wound up winning one of my critical or my most important fantasy games. But I'm not holding that against Tyler shuck. You know, I very well might go right back to him, although Jordan loved gets the Cowboys. But I think if I didn't have Jordan love against the Cowboys and I had some, some other alternative, I'm going to feel really good about going back to Tyler shuck next week against the Giants. It sounds like Jordan Tyson is going to need at least one more week. He's not going to be back in week six, maybe week seven. Although I know that you have thought maybe week nine after the Saints week eight by that probably makes the most sense for the Saints. But I'm still, I'm going to go right back to trusting Chris Olave and Juwan Johnson and Tyler shuck and Devon Valle against the Giants. Not holding this against them whatsoever.
Speaker 1Yeah, hopefully on Jordan Tyson, you know, we'll see they play the Giants next. Only other note I had on Saints was like, I know they didn't seem to be that happy with Travis ETN, CJ Donaldson and Alvin Kamara. I'm not even sure their NFL backs and like Kendrick Miller. They need Travis ETN, like get him back so you can have some semblance of an NFL running back back there. Yeah, it's weird. Really weird with the run game. There Giants. So the Giants got behind to the commanders and I've obviously know what happens when Jameis Winston's at quarterback and you get behind Jameis Winston ended up throwing 54 times as they fight back, force the game into overtime and then quote unquote earn a tie. This was not how we had it projected, Evan. I mean, we thought that they would be run heavy. It was raining. But when you get behind, this is kind of the way the game goes. Sometimes what do you think of Giants tie against the commanders?
Speaker 2Well, I don't know about that. you but the poly bros uh actually had the over in this game um no i was real worried you know with the line movement sunday morning i was worried i didn't feel feel great about that but we but we got the win and that's what matters at the end of the day i did want to address a twitter comment that i saw recently um that on this show that you or i or i uh or both of us had said that we we should that oh everyone should sell malik neighbors because jamis winston was taking over at coreback no no no okay what we said is that we would consider selling malik neighbors for parker washington okay and that was based on not jamis winston taking over but based on the concerns over the injuries that malik neighbors he himself has admitted are a very serious issue and may crop up back again so if you're going to be critical of the injuries that malik neighbors he himself has admitted are a very serious issue and may crop up back again so if you're going to be critical of the things that we say on this show at least don't lie all right at least come correct and say truthful things if you're going to be critical because we didn't say to sell malik neighbors because of jamis winston we i mean we kind of thought that jamis winston could be a good thing for malik neighbors the concern is going to be the health going forward for malik neighbors keep starting them i think i would actually i think i would trade malik neighbors for parker washington if i could do that deal right now still two weeks later and i think i would trade later after we discuss that but just come correct if you're gonna be
Speaker 1critical so i i have bad news evan i did on the rest of season top 150 show say that i thought malik neighbors was a decent sell because i thought jj mccarthy would be getting under center at some point here soon and malik neighbors
Speaker 2that's another fair concern
Speaker 1yeah but it wasn't because of jamis winston no it was not i think jamis winston is like the guy other than stafford like there's very yeah he creates wide exactly everybody knows that for sure i think jamis winston is like the guy other than stafford obviously if link neighbors healthy and jamis winston is back there he's going to absolutely smash i regret saying it um you know it was probably bad but i do think that long term there's still some concern around malik neighbors but gosh he's such a truly great talent and that's like what i keep saying about this he's a truly great talent who has a knee issue who has a shoulder issue and may have a jj mccarthy issue here um coming at some point but obviously in the meantime it's an awesome start i mean i talked on the solo pod about playing him in dfs at three percent i mean it was it was awesome um speaking of awesome you know who fantasy's number one tight end is right now evan isaiah likely is fantasy's number one tight end in total points 11 catches 94 yards and two touchdowns neighbors and likely in this game combined to see 33 targets 61 of the targets went to those two guys so obviously isaiah likely really really strong first season here with the giants uh last note
Speaker 2jamis loves him yeah by the way uh isaiah likely in addition to having the most fantasy points amongst tight ends has the highest target share of any tight end in the nfl right now at 29.9 percent which is an absurd target share for any tight end yeah um last
Speaker 1night on the giants i think is an interesting one evan cam scataboo continues to lose work to naji harris week three was the first time naji harris was active for the giants scataboo got 70 of the running back touches week 4 66 week 5 sunday only 57 of the running back touches went to scataboo he also had an awful fumble um in overtime this is looking like it's going south for scataboo how worried are you about him
Speaker 2yeah well shout out to ryan reynolds who had been really banging the drum that he thought that and ryan reynolds is a um a little bit of a giant's laundry bro although he's very objective but he definitely watches the giants every week i know that for sure um and he had been like really banging the drum that cam scataboo doesn't look the same as he did last year in terms of burst and this is a player coming off of a broken leg and a dislocated ankle a very similar injury to quinshaw judkins who i know that we were both fairly optimistic entering last week but he also has struggled for efficiency and lacked the burst that he showed at times last year this is a tough injury i know we're in the age of the peptides or whatever but this is a tough injury for a running back to come back from and we're seeing that i think with cam scataboo and with quinshaw
Speaker 1judkins let's go to the eagles eagles lose in london to the jaguars in one of the most ridiculous endings you'll ever see like just the cherry on top of a really concerning eagle season so far i won't bore everyone with the details i'm sure you saw it but they were up 17 16 with eight seconds left kicking off and they lost the game so kind of speaks to the entire eagles season right now i guess the only good thing i can say about the eagles evan is saquon barkley and devonta smith might be back in practice this week we'll see what you think of their performance over in london
Speaker 2yeah i mean the biggest note for me was that will shipley tore his plants are fascia he's expected to miss multiple weeks i know that people were putting big bids on him in ffpc main events someone paid like six hundred dollars or something in one of my leagues for will shipley um and he's not gonna amount to a whole lot yeah
Speaker 1jalen hurts ran two times for two yards in this game and if that's not concerning enough right there they had a huge fourth and one in this game did not do the tush push i mean that signals to me the end of an era i don't know what you think evan i think it's probably because their offensive line has been so decimated they didn't want to run it but that's crazy i mean josh allen's doing the same thing that somebody does the tush push now and now the eagles with jalen hurts aren't going to do it that that's notable to me they've they're so worried about their offensive line that they didn't do it in that spot um yeah their their
Speaker 2offensive line couldn't block for the running backs either they tried to give damian pierce some opportunities he could you just run it in place their offensive line has been the crux of the eagles for years and years and years and now it's a liability yeah and so they dropped this game they they had it in in you know in in hand they dropped this game to me that increases the probability that we're going to see howie roseman try to sell guys off like saquon barkley should be at the top of the list of guys that that howie roseman should be looking to
Speaker 1trade 100 home versus carolina next for the eagles let's go to the 49ers this was a massive game in the nfc west niners go to seattle and win 32 29 story to me was mike evans man like old banged up doesn't matter seahawks defense could not stop mike evans seven catches 113 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets made some huge plays and crucial moments great win for the 49ers evan what do you think of their performance
Speaker 2yeah you know old and banged up would not be the adjectives that i would use to describe mike evans you know i'd be thinking like you know gold jacket got that dog in them put on this earth to score touchdowns that kind of thing you know grabs trevon diggs who is you turns him around oh diggs i remember you from years ago man you're still you're still around and i actually believe him that he didn't think that that was trevon diggs because i looked at trevon diggs snap counts and in the previous game trevon diggs has only played eight snaps and this game he only played nine so he wasn't on the tape very much for mike evans mike evans has been an absolute winner and i think he's going to win this game he's going to win this game he's been an absolute beast out there playing through the injury um such a big time first down and touched an end zone target for brock purdy who continues to ball out but yeah i'm i'm proud of mike evans man that was a an awesome awesome performance and i i didn't play him in every league that i had him last week so i was a little bit worried about his health i was a little bit worried about the matchup but man seven for 113 and a touchdown against seattle that's awesome
Speaker 1they lost debo samuel here to a hamstring injury they're getting crazy thin at wide receiver they have now lost deson stripling ricky pierce all demarcus robinson christian kirk and debo samuel to injuries they finished this game with brandon cooks and jacob cowing behind mike evans now cowing got hurt too cowing yeah i don't even see that now maybe it's not as big a deal because you have christian mccaffrey at running back and you have george kittle at tight end but yeah i mean mike evans gonna have to keep doing this every week for the wide receiver core um speaking of cmc certainly less volume this year for cmc right only 11 carries in this game kaylin black got six but the good news is his efficiency is back to some degree cmc up at 4.7 yards per carry strong there so far this season seahawks so just mentioned they lost the niner seahawks are now three and two i guess the story to me of this game was the running back play for seattle was just so bad like emmanuel wilson and george helani combined to average 2.8 yards per carry and they each lost a fumble i mean if they had just played like league average running back they probably win this game evan what do you think of seahawks performance against the niners
Speaker 2well i blew this because i thought that seattle might smoke them and i had seahawks minus two and a half so accountability i blew this um freaking holani god he gets stripped in the end zone for a 49ers touchdown he's - He's awful, three yards per carry, fumbling. they are they're dying to get back Zach Charbonnet who was limited on Monday or at least listed as limited on Monday ahead of this Thursday night game I don't think he's going to play on Thursday night but I think he'll be back in week seven yes and I think he might play a lot yes and then Jadarian Price is due back in week eight yes so this this running back this backfield is going to get an overhaul very very soon Emmanuel Wilson can only get what's blocked we've seen that now for two straight weeks he's fine he's a good third stringer but he's not going to have a role here in
Speaker 1a couple of weeks yeah the past game is just like every week is the same thing entire defense knows what's coming doesn't matter they're going to throw to jsn 30 40 50 of the time and he's going to go nuts it's like every game is the same thing it's
Speaker 2so crazy Darnold was also bad in this game I thought that Darnold could play well against San Francisco I gotta take my hat off to Raheem Morris he's done a really good job with the 49ers defense with what he's had to work with this season especially up front we mentioned last week they played 15 different defensive linemen in their first four games I mean that's the most that next gen has started or that charted through the first month of a season Raheem Morris doing a great job for the
Speaker 149ers defense last NFC team is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers really good win for them in Dallas on Thursday night they did it on the back of a really good game they did it on the back of a really good game they did it on the back of a really really really really impressive performance from Bucky Irving I mean this dude was jacked up for this game that 72 yard run that Bucky Irving had was one of the best you'll ever see he finishes with 175 total yards and two touchdowns on 23 touches Evan what do you think of Bucky and the Bucs on Thursday night
Speaker 2yeah that was huge I mean to instill confidence for the Bucky Irving people anyways because in the game before he'd been vultured by Sean Tucker and then he scored two touchdowns inside the five yard line in this game and had some massive runs he had a 72 yarder yeah that and also he had a receiving yeah one of those touchdowns was a receiving touchdown now it was against Dallas but you know that it should have given you confidence to all right you know I know that the outlet long-term outlook maybe isn't good for Bucky Irving we could start him against Dallas and now I think that they will get but uh Baker Mayfield back it's possible I think against Tampa against Pittsburgh
Speaker 1yeah if you want to talk of that if you wanted to make a case to sell high on Bucky the case would just be simply Sean Tucker still got some true one yard stuff yes Bucky scored from inside the five yard line but the one yard line stuff they still gave to Tucker and B he was playing the Cowboys that's like the two things that you could say if you wanted to sell Bucky
Speaker 2right now okay yeah I mean I would say that the the trajectory is again pointing back to the one yard line and I think you're going to get back Baker Mayfield yeah and the offensive line the Bucks offensive line is still healthy yeah they haven't suffered any injuries yet I thought
Speaker 1there was a concerted effort in this game to get the ball to Emeka Egbuka they handed the ball to him for a 14 yard score they threw him a ton of screens and quick hitters nine targets 36 percent share the toe thing seems like a non-issue at this point um but he needs Baker back obviously uh does Emeka Egbuka reminder this free show is brought to you by Bucky Irving. by Polymarket one of the world's largest prediction markets and one that is available in every U.S. state you can go back to episode 1018 for more on my take why prediction markets make sense for people like us but the bottom line is really two things first price I look at Poly as simply another place we can shop for the best price and if you do shop for the best price you'll see that Poly often has the best one that's because there's actual competition for flow market makers are competing with each other to win the flow the incoming trades and then second most perhaps most importantly there's no limiting on Poly in any markets and there are tons of markets traditional ones futures alts everything even if you're interested in player props or some other small markets like I am you won't get the dreaded max is 26 cent screen even if you're winning even if you're getting CLV and also we can trade in or out of our positions at any time at market odds not the gouging that we see from the sports books early cash out buttons so if you're interested in checking it out Polymarket is offering new users a $25 bonus if you deposit $10 with promo code ETR so head to Polymarket U.S. right now and use promo code ETR to get that $25 sign up bonus let's flip it over to the AFC now we'll start with the Baltimore Ravens Ravens went to Atlanta Sunday night without Lamar Jackson due to his left ankle sprain Tyler Snoop Huntley steps in goes 24 of 32 for 201 two touchdowns ran it six times for 20 yards and another touchdown Ravens moved to 3-0 on the road this season this was impressive from Huntley I know people make fun of him a lot this was an impressive game I thought by him Evan what do you think of Ravens win at
Speaker 2Atlanta yeah I got a text during the game from Will Sue whom Tyler Huntley once upon a time I think won a million dollars for right yeah yeah and so that was nice you know that was nice to see uh Tyler Huntley play a good game he hadn't had a good game since he won Will Sue a million dollars you know a bunch of years ago so uh yeah that was nice to see I mean I other than that you know Derrick Henry is a beast um Jacoby Lane I might be back this week Mark Andrews for a guy that has had a really nice career he's not going to be a NFL Hall of Famer but he'll be like a ring of honor player I think for the Ravens he has a lot of like horrible games and this was one of those he had a he dropped a touchdown he had a fumble that was returned for a touchdown he dropped a two-point conversion he dropped another third down reception yeah Mark Andrews has a shocking amount of bad games for a guy who's had a really nice career I also don't
Speaker 1think he's really moving that well either like it's just it's really bad right now I feel like yeah um shout out Declan Doyle who continues to find ways to involve Derrick Henry in the screen game like Derrick Henry's long run in this game was 11 yards they couldn't really get him going for big ones but get a screen going 18 yard touchdown for Derrick Henry in the screen game that was awesome Zay Flowers had eight catches here with Tyler Huntley at quarterback when Lamar Jackson plays Zay Flowers is going nuts like nuts and hopefully we'll get Lamar back soon this week they play at Browns and Zay Flowers is going nuts and hopefully we'll get Lamar back soon this week Zay I mean Zay is an awesome asset to have awesome Bills this was an insane overtime win for the Bills last night they scored 37 points 7.6 yards per play for the Bills in LA against the Rams even though Josh Allen playing without DJ Moore he only completed 12 passes all night Evan what do you think of Bills last night on Monday Night
Speaker 2Football yeah Josh Allen beast of course yeah he yeah I mean he he did this like with his legs I mean the Bills did this with their legs collectively James Cook had what two fumbles yeah two fumbles lost one he's now got 11 fumbles since the start of the 2025 season he's so awesome but he has a fumbling problem and I mean that's been you know persistent um but yeah I mean the Bills have a great run blocking offensive line although I'll tell you what they lost they Spencer Brown their stud right tackle left the line and they're left during this game and they got the Raiders coming up and Max Crosby plays on his side so that is an injury that I will be watching heading into week six but yeah I mean this running game for Buffalo is is awesome and it's really been great since Joe Brady took over in the season as the Bills offensive coordinator was it two years ago I mean they have been like a committed run team and now obviously Joe Brady is going to be the offensive coordinator for the Bills and I mean they're they're firing on all cylinders as a run team
Speaker 1the the Josh Superman thing like these huge games where he puts on the cape and just puts the team on his back and starts running more like that's a real thing Josh had 90 rushing yards in the fourth quarter and overtime he finished with 10 carries 121 yards and a touchdown um we need to address Don Kincaid Evan people are freaking out Don Kincaid ran 23 routes on 28 dropbacks here the result was just two targets one catch for seven yards again Josh Allen only got 19 passes off Don Kincaid is still at 2.47 yards per route run on the season which is elite so I wouldn't say I'm worried here but I wish there was more of a focus on getting him going I guess
Speaker 2yeah there's nothing you can do though when you when you're trying to get a fantasy a pass catcher to have a productive game in a game where his quarterback completes 12 passes there's nothing you can do I mean nobody else had a good game in the receiver core either the best guy who had a good game in the in the pass catcher core or the best guy who had a game the best game anyone had in the Bill's pass catcher core was Khalil Shakir and he needed a 57 yard kind of fluky run after catch play he had three targets in the game there's there's nothing you can do man I mean 12 completions you're not gonna be able to work with that for any of the guys in the pass catcher core uh Skyler
Speaker 1Bell was the fill-in for DJ Moore who sat out with that shoulder thing Skyler Bell ran 19 routes he missed him on kind of a sliding play, but I do think DJ Moore is likely to be back here next week so the
Speaker 2bills played this game in la and they are staying out west to be in vegas i mean are these guys going to be on on their best behavior there's going to be a lot of temptations i mean these guys are 20 years old with a bunch of money i mean i'd need at least one night out
Speaker 1what do you think yeah um they talked about that uh after the game josh allen went on scott van palin was like we know this is a business trip we know what we're here to do blah blah blah so we'll see i think it'll be fine let's go to the bangles it was unclear to me if jamar chase or t higgins would play in this game at miami turns out they both play in this game they have their normal roles bangles win 31 24 the big story evan i think was the chase brown usage the chase brown haters are circling the vultures are circling around chase brown because he got out carried you by samajai pirine here 14 to 13 on the season chase brown's down to 3.5 yards per carry the haters are back on chase brown evan do you have any retort and any thoughts on bangles game against the dolphins yeah
Speaker 2leone right now is just like mr burns in the simpsons just like you know waiting you know um yeah i mean chase brown fumbled in the second quarter and samajai pirine i mean they they trust them and it wound up being i think they're after the first quarter of the season so i think they're after the first quarter of the season so i think they're after the first quarter it was like almost an even split right and the game
Speaker 1and it was like kind of a blowout late too so like you know yeah it just chase brown has not run the ball well this season you know no he hasn't i get it he's never been below 4.3 yards per carry since his rookie year so i'm not that worried about it but these pirine snaps like i knew they'd be annoying i did not expect him to get 14 carries in a game at any point this season so yeah it's worth noting you
Speaker 2know i'm with you i'm with you a minor injury that may have a little bit of an impact tanner hudson tore his pictorial in this game and tanner hudson i mean no one's playing him in fantasy right but with a guy like mike joseki if you can get him four to six more routes per game you know or you know seven to nine snap more snaps per game that can matter uh and mike joseki i don't think he did anything in this game but he's had three good games so far this season and that's a big part of the game and i think it's can help at least build a little bit of confidence if he's just playing a little bit more because tanner hudson is out yeah good
Speaker 1note and i would also note that eric all took that tanner hudson role eric all ran 12 routes in this game there are some there is a eric all of hive out there of people who really like eric all as a prospect he's going to get a little bit of a chance here bangles are on a buy this week browns so the browns punter had a snap go through his hands late in this game when they were leading 17 to uh leading uh i think it was 12 to 9 at the time or maybe 12 10 um they end up losing to the jets browns are now three and two this was more of the deshaun watson experience that i expected before the season like i was just wrong i thought deshaun watson would be terrible he was very good until this game deshaun watson 15 of 33 took eight sacks 4.7 yards per pass attempt for deshaun watson evan what do you think of this game against the jets yeah
Speaker 2well this was the deshaun watson that we'd really grown accustomed to ever since he was acquired by cleveland and i think probably is going to be the player that we see more often than not until they give an opportunity to shador sanders i don't even know if they ever will do that um but yeah deshaun watson isn't good i mean it doesn't matter that he had a couple of games where he looked like he was competent he's not like an actual good quarterback in the nfl this was against the jets you know the jets are not any kind of an intimidating defense um the thing that i'm monitoring is quinshawn judkins who we talked about when we talked about the giants but he had an ankle injury in this game and we're doing this on tuesday on monday the browns signed audrick estime off of the vikings practice squad so and they didn't you know they signed him to the 53 man roster not to their own practice squad you sign a player off a practice squad they got to go on your 53 that to me suggests that the browns are bracing for quinshawn judkins to not play in week six this is
Speaker 1the same foot uh juggins was in a boot after this game on his right foot that is the same foot that got mangled bad last season browns are saying this is not related to that this is a different injury and it's minor but we'll see um we'll see the other news was todd monken said the browns might open dylan sampson's 21 day practice window this week that was awesome news for me because i was kind of heavy samson and light juggins preseason i was worried samson was toast that's an important thing to track because let's say juggins gets healthy when samson comes back i would expect him to have that third down pass down kind of role last note for me i mean denzel boston has at least 40 yards in all five games has three touchdowns already has five catches of 20 plus yards like i'm not going to sit here and say denzel boston is definitely a hit already for them but i think it was a really good pick for them i mean he has shown a lot here with deshaun watson already and having todd monken certainly helps um casey conception go ahead sorry no we're gonna say the same thing go ahead i mean this hit for mink and fitzpatrick i had to like look away at the replay like it was tough ones mink and fitzpatrick just absolutely destroyed casey conception scary concussion it looked like and he's
Speaker 2been getting a lot of targets yeah so if he were to miss time which i i kind of assume that he's gonna not play against baltimore that frees up opportunity for other guys including denzel boston
Speaker 1colts colts went to pittsburgh and they give up 34 points lose 34 22 they could not run the ball including at the goal line i mean jt had at least three chances around the goal line that i saw could not get it in 15 carries 45 yards no touchdowns for jonathan taylor here evan what do you think of colt's loss at pittsburgh
Speaker 2um i mean i don't have any great takeaways my notes are like tyler warren is fourth among tight ends in target share right now um yeah i don't have any great takeaways i mean it's just kind of like a just another game that the colts played you know and i like nothing was super impressive or yeah
Speaker 1i'll say this i thought it was a really good game for tyler warren because they finally found him downfield 9.9 yard average depth of target for tyler warren here that was much different than what they did the first four weeks and after jt got stuffed twice at the goal line daniel jones got stuffed once they went to tyler warren for a goal line carry and he converted so that's like a little bit of hidden value there on tyler warren too keenan allen was back for this game and he out targeted josh downs nine to six i mean this is what keenan allen does he eats targets so you know on josh downs like i certainly liked him before he got to the goal line but i think before the season i thought he got too expensive relative to his ceiling because when you're five nine 171 everything needs to be so perfect for you like you need to be an insane player scheme has to be right quarterback has to be right you're just so small and now josh downs has zero touchdowns 59 catch rate like i think he's solid i just i really question the ceiling um on josh downs jaguars jaguars did not play well in london against the eagles particularly around where they flubbed so many chances did the jaguars but they get that late miracle i described they moved to four and one star was parker washington evan what do you think of jaguars insanely lucky win over the eagles in london
Speaker 2yeah part all right ros parker washington or malik neighbors make the
Speaker 1call uh we will probably have it's going to be close but we we have had parker washington ahead there for the last few weeks okay just want to double
Speaker 2check um basial tootin had a massive workload in this game and i think that he is trending toward i think he's trending toward i don't want to say every down back but like he's going to have an explosion sometime soon there is an injury that occurred during this game that oh the the details actually just came out via rap sheet anton harrison who's been one of the best right tackles in the nfl so far this season he went out late in this game people thought it might be an achilles it turned he needs a knee scope which is good news relative to an achilles he'll be back in a few weeks i think but that's a big injury now the the jaguars are playing the texans the jaguars are playing their second straight game in london this time against the texans and you you want all your offensive linemen on deck when you play the
Speaker 1texans basial tootin got 92 percent of jacksonville's running back carries in this game it was 74 percent the week before the first game of the three weeks it was like 60 percent so i understand the results have been meh for basial tootin it hasn't really been because he's not getting high value touches either he has three carries does tootin from inside the five yard line like he got a goal line carry with chris rodriguez on the field rodriguez flubbed the block screwed up the whole play also tootin has run 61 routes this season like quinn allen only 34 so like if i knew that tootin would ice chris rodriguez like this and and i know people don't want to hear it because the results have been bad but i agree with evan like it's coming for basial tootin Um, I just want to note this report from rap sheet that just came across suggesting that the 49ers could trade for Jawan Jennings. That would make a lot of sense to me. Jawan Jennings has been absolutely useless for the Vikings and the 49ers have a major, major need right now.
Speaker 2So Jawan Jennings also didn't have a very good relationship with the 49ers, but rap sheet. Isn't going to say that unless he heard that from somewhere. Yeah. So, um, yeah, I mean, I, that's, that's gotta be on the table.
Speaker 1Let's go to the chiefs. Chiefs were on a buy. They will come out of it to face the winless chargers at Arrowhead on Sunday. My only note is really the wide receiver position. They lost Taequann Thornton in the game before the buy. I think that matters. You know, I think Taequann Thornton was outplaying Xavier worthy. They're going to get Jalen Royals in there. Can they get Cyrus? Alan going, Evan, any chiefs thoughts as they come out of their buy?
Speaker 2No, other than like, if you would ask me the percentage chances of Tyreek Hill being a chief before the buy, you know, five days ago, I would have said 85%. And because of the legal stuff, you know, the off field stuff, I'm not so sure of that anymore. In addition to, you know, the health concerns of Tyreek Hill.
Speaker 1That was such a bad, it wasn't like a clean ACL tear on Tyreek. And so I'm pretty sure that's going to happen. I'm pretty sure that's going to happen. I'm pretty skeptical that he can give them, even if they did want to sign him, he can give them what they need. But my last note on the chiefs, obviously every day when I wake up, every only thing I think about before I go to bed, only thing I think about keep Kenneth Walker health. That's all I think about, you know, before bed, when I wake up first thing.
Speaker 2Same here, man.
Speaker 1Raiders. Raiders go to new England and get blasted 45, 17 story was another dismal performance from Ashton Gentry. He came into this game with a foot injury. I was kind of surprised that he didn't get the prize that he played. He didn't look healthy. He averaged 2.7 yards per carry after the game. They're like, Oh, look how tough Ashton is. It's great for him playing hurt. You lost 45, 17. You have Mike Washington. You could have used not like Ashton Gentry has been good anyways. I can't believe they didn't give him a break here. But anyways, Evan, what do you think of Raiders game in new
Speaker 2England? Well, I had a pretty bad brick on this one. Cause I thought that Kirk cousins could have a really good game. And I mean, he actually wasn't that terrible. If you just look at straight as numbers in terms of real life football, but he certainly wasn't winning you any fantasy stuff. I did get excited when he, I think the Raiders scored the first touchdown of the game to Brock Bowers. And I was like, Oh baby, maybe we got a chance that did not come to fruition. And we got to look at Fernando Mendoza in this game and garbage time. And I thought that he looked all right, but yeah, I don't know. When are you going to start calling Ashton Gentry a bus? Because I know that you're thinking, Oh, I'm going to call him. I'm going to call him. I'm going to call
Speaker 1I mean, almost every underlying stat is really bad for Ashton Gentry. And I think the eye test for a lot of people has been really bad as well. You can make a lot of excuses. The scheme was broken last year. The offensive line was broken last year. The ankle this year, I'm not going to start doing the, like being way too hard on Ashton Gentry. I want to see him healthy playing. Clearly he wasn't healthy in this game. I wish they would just sat him out, just sit him out.
Speaker 2You know, I don't, I don't ever get the point of playing an injured running back especially when you have, you know, you like Dylan Lobby, I guess like they do. And you got Mike Washington. Like I, it doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever, but there are like advanced metrics that show that Ashton Gentry is the stone worst running back in the league.
Speaker 1Right. Um, we did get a look. If Ashton Gentry ever sits out there, do not trust Mike Washington and pass protection at all. They went to Dylan Lobby for like all passing situations. Mike Washington, I think I have one touch in this game or something crazy like that. Um, Oh, Fernando Mendoza made his NFL debut in garbage time here. Six of eight for 48 yards drive stalled out on turnover on downs, but yeah, good to see him get his feet wet a little bit. Raiders are three and two. They have to play the bills and Rams next. I mean, they're really likely to be three and four. You're going to start hearing calls for Mendoza here. If they're on a three game losing streak chargers. I mean, it's turning into like a joke. I mean, the injury decimated incompetent chargers. They put up a fight against Denver, but losing streak. I mean, it's turning into like a lose again, 23, 17. I mean, lad McConkey was expected to be inactive. It turned out he was active, but that was only because they didn't have enough bodies for the inactive list. Lad McConkey played zero snaps. So just a joke. What's going on with the chargers right now, Evan, any thoughts on them?
Speaker 2I hate talking about this team. Justin Herbert is terrible. The chargers are terrible in every single way. They are last in the NFL in EPA per drive. They had 82 net passing yards in this game. That's the fewest by any chargers team in any game in a decade. I have no hope for this team. I mean, I don't even think is do I, do we have any hope for any player or like any player on the team? I lad McConkey, maybe if he can get right, but I mean, he's not, I mean, they were so injured on Sunday. All right. So every team has a 53 man roster, but you can only activate 45 players. For the game day roster. So people like, Oh, whoa, lad McConkey's active, which he was active, but that's because the eight players they had on their inactive list, they were all injured. So they had more injuries than they had guys for the inactive spots. So they had to activate lad McConkey, even though did he play
Speaker 1zero snaps and zero snaps and people like, you know, obviously Adam Schefter and Glazer and rap sheet, these guys are gonna get stuff wrong, but this was not one. They got wrong. People were like, you are the worst. You said, like, people are so brain dead. It's, it's crazy. Um, yeah. And you know, it doesn't get better for the chargers. Listen to their next four games at Kansas city at the Rams versus Houston at Baltimore next four games. These were their wide receivers in the game. Cause Trey Harris left early with a hamstring injury. They went with Marquez Valdez, Scantling, not an NFL wide receiver, Theo Weiss, not an NFL wide receiver, Darius Davis, a special teamer at best. So. Like, even if you think, you know, Herbert sucks, you know, Evan said, Herbert sucks. I don't really disagree right now. It's really hard to do it when that's what you're throwing to, um, Hampton, Mitchell and Vidal are in a full three-way committee. So you asked like, if there's anyone that I would consider playing, probably not, you know, um, probably not dolphins. Dolphins did score 24 points in this home game against the Bengals, but 14 of them came in much, uh, kind of garbage time. I guess the highlight was Ollie Gordon, you know, Jalen Wright did play here, but Ollie Gordon, 18 carries 88 yards and a touchdown, no catches. Of course, Evan, any thoughts on dolphins latest loss, this one to the Bengals.
Speaker 2Um, you know, we could talk about that. Malik Washington has been like, okay.
Speaker 1Yeah. He's earning targets really well.
Speaker 2Yeah, he is. Um, I don't know that I could ever really, you know, I don't know there we'll have, we'll have weeks coming up here where there are six teams on by and Malik Washington will probably be like a top 36 option at wide receiver in those weeks. You're never going to be excited to start them, but you know, the, uh, the big question is going to be, the good, the big question is going to be, is Ollie Gordon sustainable?
Speaker 1Yeah. So real quick, I do think when Caleb Douglas gets back, you know, that target share from league Washington will go down on Ollie Gordon. A lot of what you're betting on with dolphin stuff is garbage time. And you typically don't run the ball. You're going to run the ball. You're going to run the ball a lot in garbage time. So I still think sell on Ollie Gordon, but you know,
Speaker 2I would a hundred percent agree. Sell on Ollie Gordon and the dolphins claimed Catron Allen off waivers before week five, which, you know, I don't, he didn't play, but, and he may not play. Well, he'll probably, he'll be ready to go. They have a buy, right? Yes. Yes. It just, it kind of tells you that the dolphins themselves probably aren't like, oh yeah, Ollie Gordon, now, you know, I mean, they're claiming running backs off waivers. So yeah, if you can get something for Ollie Gordon, something decent, I think you got to do it. He's got in the box where Ollie Gordon has three productive games in a row. So you might be able to sell Ollie Gordon for something decent. Let's go to the Patriots.
Speaker 1Patriots were playing without AJ Brown. They're playing without Mack Hollins. Travion Henderson leaves early. Doesn't matter. Drake May has one of the best fantasy games of the entire season as they smoked the Raiders. Drake May has one of the best fantasy had four passing touchdowns, one rushing touchdown, no turnovers, 26 of 34 for 374. I mean, last two weeks, Drake May has been on one despite having not very many weapons once again here, Evan, and he might be getting AJ Brown back here this week. Thoughts on Patriots blowout of the
Speaker 2Raiders. Yeah, this was really, this was really big. You know, the game against the bills the performance, he was still kind of, he was turning the ball over. He, he got some, he got some help from incredible catches from Romeo Dobbs and Efton Chisholm. And in this game, this was an awesome, awesome performance. I mean, the Patriots, first of all, they protected him. Well, he had his lowest pressure rate that he's faced in any game so far this season. Will Campbell, the Patriots left tackle went out. They insert Caleb Lomu, who they drafted in the first round. And I think he had a clean sheet in the second half of this game. And this that's against the Raiders pass rush that came into this game, like top five. pressure rate generated they had a bunch of sacks obviously Max Crosby you know about him this was a really encouraging performance you look at the Patriots upcoming schedule to Jets Bears Dolphins Packers Lions by Chargers who I mean this Patriots offense could take off with A.J. Brown back and Ramondre Henderson Ramondre Stevenson just combined Travion Henderson and Ramondre Stevenson I've done that before but Travion Henderson now has a high ankle sprain Ramondre Stevenson has a nice little runway here in some great upcoming matchups oh this is
Speaker 1an awesome time to have Ramondre Stevenson I mean even his backup Corey Kiner came in and lost a in this game Ramondre is going to play an absolute ton in that upcoming schedule that is so soft I mean and you get A.J. Brown back I think that's good for Ramondre Stevenson more rushing room more red zone chances and Drake May is just at like a talent elevator Efton Chisholm led the team in targets in this game and Pop Douglas Eli Raritan were not far behind and May had like 45 fantasy points I mean yeah that's exactly
Speaker 2right it's crazy yep elevating teammates Drake May by the way I'd
Speaker 1love to see Kai Williams get more chances only three targets here turns into 391-1 I understand Kai Williams does not have a great route tree but all I've seen him do is make plays when he gets out there so Jets Jets beat the Browns 17-12 at home you know when the Jets are able to move the ball it's good for fantasy because it's really concentrated like Braylon Allen had 24 carries I thought he played really well and Garrett Wilson had 11 targets no one else does anything so if you think the Jets can move the ball it's especially interesting in DFS because you know exactly where it's going but yeah anyways Evan what do you think of Jets win over the Browns yeah I think
Speaker 2that we kind of debated whether Braylon Allen was good his first couple years in the league and I think that he's showing us that he is this is a second straight good game in a row um I do think that Brees Hall will probably probably be back pretty soon um but you have one of the better handcuffs in the league in Braylon Allen behind the guy with you know some history of soft tissue stuff who's dealing with soft tissue stuff right now
Speaker 1in Brees Hall yeah 60 snaps for Braylon 10 for Isaiah Davis I mean they have no interest in doing anything when Brees is out except for a ton of Braylon Allen Kenyon Sadiq unfortunately left this game with a concussion last team is the Tennessee Titans you know Titans and Cardinal Tate had showed some real life over the previous couple weeks on Sunday they were facing a desperate angry Texans defense that got D'Amico Ryan's back uh calling plays and the Titans scored three points they're now 0 and 5 Evan any thoughts on this Titans performance rarely
Speaker 2have any great thoughts about the Titans you know just hoping to get to the end wish we could fast forward but um you know Cam Ward I thought had played decent for him in his previous maybe let's say one and a half games and it's just one step forward two steps back yeah and I mean it's just it's it's not it's not feeling great for Cam
Speaker 1Ward right now um I will say if if Cardinal Tate gets dropped in like a 12 team league after this performance I'd be picking him up like you're not going to play the Texans every week you still have games against the Colts and Cowboys coming up soon a little later you get Commanders Lions and Colts like in a 12 team league I think you might be able to use Cardinal Tate through buys and injuries in those kind of matchups so you know again if he got dropped I would consider picking him up last note they fell behind and Tajee Spears caught nine balls in this game I would love to see Tajee Spears in a full-time role maybe we'll get it um if Tony Pollard is gone but they'll probably play Nick Singleton anyways I know we
Speaker 2mentioned that last week nine balls for 28 yards though but yeah I know you're right he you know hey that's what uh 11.8 uh PPR points
Speaker 1yes the PPR scam Tajee Spears all right that is going to do it for another edition of the team by team if you found value in this do us a favor hit the subscribe button here on YouTube it is free if you're interested in checking out what we do in season all the premium shows with which there are many including Silva Man vs Machine myself and Silva Friday nights Sunday mornings we have monthly and weekly options available on NFL season also the NBA don't forget about that so head to establishtherun.com check it all out there for Evan you Producer Ryan, Producer Luke, I'm Matt.
