What even happened? Yeah, right? Shit was so crazy this weekend. Yeah, you know what they said. Yay. Bro. You know, Sin City. That shit was crazy. Just the three of us. Yeah, a lot of good, some QT, quality time. Yeah, honestly, we had some good quality time. I have some notes written down about some great inventions you guys came up with over the weekend. I just am so impressed. Oh, yes. We're going to be billionaires from these. Yeah, so no one take them. Yeah, so don't take these ideas. Disclaimer, please don't take these ideas. No, we'll get into the ideas after we talk about our weekend a little bit. Obviously. On Friday night, you know, we got in, we headed to dinner, and we were sat next to an adult woman who was just throwing up. Yeah, she definitely threw up in the corner of the restaurant. Nice place, too. Yeah, nice place to go to. She was very, very drunk. It's Vegas for you. And then it was like, and then they served us our food, like our entree, basically the same time they brought like the hazmat unit out. Yes. To like white. around their table so they brought people like with mass and the cleaner and everything to like wipe around the sides of the table and they were extremely close to us eating our food and what a way to lose your appetite yeah the steak at the table we said no thanks it was like well you know and then i they kept looking over she kept getting up sitting back down getting up two of her friends seemed to just be like well we're gonna eat our meal like they brought their food out like at what point are you like we got to get out of here as her friend to be like we should probably leave i think you have to be kicked out of a restaurant if you throw up like not like i mean just as a general why one thousand percent to keep letting her go back and forth in the bathroom throwing up and then throwing them on the corner of the restaurant i suppose i think if we said something they would have kicked her out right but we were right next to it and could have been closer the smell was yeah you know yeah and i i was in vegas early friday and it was by myself for most things and i was like oh my god i'm so sorry i'm so sorry i'm so sorry i'm so sorry i'm so sorry and it was by myself for most things and it was by myself for most things and it was by myself for most of the day and i was like i'll sit by the pool just like really i've never done that in vegas it's a whole different experience because my god is a lounge chair a hot commodity in the when you're trying to chill in vegas and you never know what you're gonna see people i was by myself so i didn't have a barrier of people to sit with and just you just they're people are so close like you can't move a lounge chair around you're just right up next to people a lot of different groups santa was there there was a man who was babe could have been santa claus and he was really leaning into it like he kept yelling from the pool like ho ho ho like he's definitely there to see metallica right kept like throwing out metallica lines people were going woo rock on santa i thought you were referring to joe manginello no santa no no but he's approaching who we did see also yeah a couple times um no and like the kids were freaking out everybody was taking pictures with him santa with santa not joe manginello no no no no with with santa and then it was also just it was just so hot and it's so funny when you're just there by yourself because it's groups there's friends there's couples people have their cocktail in the pool they're hanging out and i just had to keep walking in and out of the pool because it was so hot but i would just like stand in the pool and like do a couple turns look around and everybody chatted and be like all right and then just like walk back a couple twirls walk back out yeah you know you kind of like spin around in the water you're like oh this is nice right yeah and you walk back out um but then i just got then it was like the time was just moving so slow before you got there i had nothing to do yeah i was so bored yeah yeah you you guys were talking about getting a drink together before i got there i was so jealous i couldn't wait i was like i gotta i walked up on you two have a nice cocktail together gotta have something to drink and and it was lovely great cocktails it was a nice place good bonding yeah bonding time for you guys no it was it was it was a lovely day before we went to that dinner and that lady was throwing up we had fun at dinner but that really was something yeah and then the next day we had our rum haven event at omnia day club which was awesome so much fun uh chris lake was performing love chris lake so you know we were back into our dj days yeah yeah you know it just back like he just comes back to you right like you never left like i never left i was like the the guys that omnia gave us were spans for the dj booth and i was like oh fuck yeah i'm going to the dj booth i was like this is my dream you know how many years i'd i i was i was never i was never somebody enough to be in the dj booth when i really cared about being right and being at edm shows i was like well i have to do this and as you went to the dj booth noah and i sat back at the table yeah and it was just us two when we were being harassed by this man who i can't even put into words what happened he was acting like he was like noah's bestie yeah and then i was equally confused i was just going along with it and he was trying to like pitch noah an idea and he was like dude like you can you it just takes one guy like you to get this in front of dave and noah was noah was like i don't talk today i don't know who you think i am i'm not that guy i've been here for almost 10 years never pitched dave an idea not planning on doing it anytime soon yeah imagine i just that's the first time i go to pitch him something it's this random guy who came to our table in vegas right and the guy he was so annoying and he he asked noah if me and noah were together obviously he asked noah if i was his fiance so that really played into the the cito fanfic yeah and then which is funny because it's like you have you have a full well yeah i think he saw my rings and was like oh that's clearly your fiance and then noah kept being like no we work together i was like yeah that podcast that you were told about by other people yeah that's the podcast no no i'm repulsed by her she is my worker and then noah came to my rescue the hero that he is the guy put some one of his friends on facetime and came over and was shoving the facetime in my face it was so annoying he was like talk to him talk to him talk to him and i'm like bro i don't know you and i don't know this guy why are you trying to make me talk to this guy and i'm like no stop like i said hi yeah first time and he kept going i'm like okay enough why are you shoving your phone in my face like this and noah goes just leave her alone man yeah i said hey oh my god my hero take it easy step back bro yeah i mean while i'm like this the dj booth yeah meanwhile we see fran i'm like we're texting fran we're like frank we leave like this guy's harassing us she's like i'm having so much fun she's like ah chris lake yeah and by the way i was not by myself we had other people with us in the dj booth i didn't go into the dj booth alone there was um some what another girl we work with here was with us and and her cousins who were delightful they were and they were so much fun and they um and they were with me in the dj booth we were having a grand old time and yeah i was really living out the good days which is always a funny thing because i owe like when people who have met me or know me now just really want to i do love like throwing that out there because people just don't don't know that i was a phase of my life like when i told erin she was like no fucking way like i was like i still don't really believe it i had a real big edm stage in my life like i was i was everywhere yeah and i said the things i would have done to get into the dj booth back in the day yeah they called her francesca molly mariano they did not molly mariano that's like a funny name yeah it sounds like a like a rapper name yeah molly mariano does like a like an italian rapper oh no no but uh i had a lot of had a lot of fun which by the way i don't want i don't feel like it's putting her on blast because we haven't named who they are but one of the cousins who poked the dj she did touch chris like and it wasn't like it was in the it was truly not in an aggressive manner whatsoever we were behind him and i was joking because i kept wanting chris like to play his opalite remix which she wasn't playing and i was like i put like it on my phone i was like laughing we were joking i was like come on opalite and very politely she tapped him to try and get him to turn around to see that i wanted him to play opalite excuse me so she was doing it on my behalf but we were like no like don't do that you know and then if i was somebody from his team was like don't touch him and i was like yeah you can't touch the talent if i was a dj and someone was poking me trying to show me what song to play i'd be so mad i would be i honestly think i would like have a freak out yeah yeah yeah no like you guys look you want to linger you want to put your phone up and just like be like like behind him totally fine you can't you just can't touch would the only rule to be up back there you just cannot touch the look there's a rope behind him everything it's like you know you don't you know you just can't lean over the rope no you you just can't do that and then she felt so bad she went like over to the guy whoever told her not to it was like i'm so sorry i just you know yeah yeah yeah there was good intentions yes you know it wasn't malicious yeah yeah yeah i i can't imagine she's been in that situation before to like know not to do that you know yeah well i think you're just in the moment you're excited everyone's in the booth you know chris back here yeah come on come on look back here yeah and i really wouldn't shut up about wanting him to play opalite so i'm so you know she was i told you it wasn't the vibe it wasn't you don't think he did we left no i don't think so because he played one of his biggest hits uh towards the end he was we left at five he was ending at six or i bet we ended way before that that was cool when they put you guys up on the big screen that was really that's a crazy picture that was yeah it did look fake it wasn't yeah people thought that was ai when i posted it yeah no no very real very real now listen we're all those people in the pool there for you we won't comment on that nobody knows no no no however i'm just saying i do think there was plenty of people in the crowd that would have lost their shit if he played that opalite remix because it is like yes it is taylor swift but it's a remix like it's pretty oh it's house heavy for sure i think people would have had so much fun but but the way his set was going it didn't sound i know but he played like a crazy in love remix he played like there was some yeah current it wasn't just like no lyrics for the most part though it was that was my favorite part the crazy love i'm like can you just keep playing like beyonce normal songs no a dj set as a whole was just like no it was just like i don't get it like you can just play other people's songs i'm like that's how that's how it works so i could get back there just hey we could no i like i don't know the transitions and stuff i mean certain djs are obviously like yeah more intensive fred again right like yeah but i i no one i'm not taking any shots no one playing at that level just goes and like plays other people's remixes oh chris lake is like no no i'm sure he's a world-renowned i know i know nothing about dj i literally know nothing but it was just funny like in the moment i think it was i forgot what song oh yeah it was like i looked at framing like this is him like a known song like and and yeah no it was like this is him i was like well no but it's like it could be like he has it wasn't it wasn't it wasn't i know for a fact it was not it was but i was like but it did i was like yeah but you know he can put his spin on it like it's a it's a remix he's a dj yeah spin yeah yeah good dj pun yeah great dj pun but um that was fun we i had a great afternoon yeah it was a lot of fun we had some good dinners as always and i actually did write down in my notes a moment on friday night at 10 52 in vegas i took a snapshot in my brain for future me of us three harmonizing do you remember the moment a memory i will never forget yeah i we all were harmonizing valerie and i went with my eyes and i took a moment for future me inspired yeah i passed you yeah it was great entertainment entertainment at dinner friday night they were saying we were all singing along yeah have you ever seen hall pass yes you know like in the movie where they do that yes it's for other reasons yeah yeah yeah my philosophy is more of like i like to see myself you know like so if you look in a mirror and then you're like you're remembering yourself yeah in that moment i just remember you guys yeah yeah not me yes yeah taking in the setting well that's what i would want to take in i don't need to see me harmonizing valerie i wanted to see you two you're not talking to yourself in the future you're putting a spin on that was just really what happened was just a memory it was yeah you're like let me didn't explain yet that no i never sleep with pants on i either sleep in a t-shirt and underwear or like boy shorts or a short and tank top set or like a short sleep set never pants i never sleep in pants on my day-to-day but lately in hotel rooms i've been noticing when i when i'm alone in a hotel room and i try to sleep i don't have that warmth around me and i'm cold i'm just so cold that i've now realized i have to travel with pants because i haven't been able to fall asleep with how cold my legs are for some reason so i was saying that i think i'm used to wrapping my legs into matt's legs and so when i'm alone i'm like oh my legs are missing something yeah yeah so then noah introduced the idea of traveling he recalls the marty's yes yes he was like well what if you just traveled with legs what with blow up legs yeah yeah really just like probably ends up yeah yeah how hairy really just ends up probably looking like a body pillow yes exactly which is their legs and you can get them customized to the legs of your liking yeah you know that one i don't know if it's going to take off that might just be like a personal thing i think so right but then yes we were headed to the casino after dinner on saturday night and i said oh shoot i don't know if i have any cash left in my wallet man i wish you could just put and this would be dangerous and there's a reason they don't do it yeah yeah but i wish you could just like put your credit card or debit card into a uh you know at the table or into a machine so that you can gamble and fran said these three iconic words that will live with me forever tap to play yeah and i it probably already i was gonna say i feel why don't you like tap my mind was blown when i heard tap to play well you know here's the thing like the casino i think i may have taken that i may i may have taken that like from the arcade tap to play from the arcade i think you can do that on the arcade like on arcades yeah no well that this comes up just as think about it that's like if you're playing on your phone that doesn't count right but games on your phone all right it's already on your phone think about tap to play at a casino no that doesn't exist that's a whole other ball game and and casinos are run like cash is king you know they got it right they need the cash but you should be able to do that yeah i can never see them doing that at like a table but the online the games i could see the digital the digital blackjack tap to play tap to play it blew my freaking mind all night i'm like tap to play yeah you're onto something there yep noah left down yeah uh went fast or this was before dinner on the last day the last day it was like we were there 24 hours yeah uh i thought rio was gonna be there uh by my side for good luck but she couldn't make it so uh i lost my eyes yeah uh the first table i went to in the blink of an eye i lost a hundred dollars um because you really only you get four you lose four hands you lose four right well i did turn to fran when you sent this when you sent this message i said he needs me i'm like he really needs it just like kind of like walking you through it yeah yeah uh the first it wasn't like your classic blackjack it's hard to explain but it was like a blackjack tap to play it was like a blackjack tap to play it was like a it was a free bet blackjack table which they had seemingly more of those than the normal ones but it was like they all cover your if you want to double down or split they put up the money for that but then if they they get 22 which anywhere else you would win that pushes like you don't win i don't know if that makes sense but but i lost and then but the second table i was there for like 45 minutes made friends with these metallica fans at the table and that's that's fun you're rooting for everyone yeah um and the guy next to me won three hundred dollars in one hand nice which i was like that would be awesome it's just you're like if i was sitting there because it's all luck right i'm like that would be me if i just chose to sit one seat over it's nice when everyone's rooting for each other and yeah you know what also sit next to people who are happy for you for your win you're happy for them yeah you know what i also felt good about is i i was the first one at that table i just picked an empty table and then everyone came you know oh they trusted and then i was the last one they all left and i was and then i was like oh my god i'm so sorry i'm so sorry i'm so sorry i'm so like let me just lose all my money they said he smells like we have to get up no they had to catch metallica with joe mancinella yeah that was so funny we're walking back to our room and And all of a sudden, we're like, oh, my God, it's Joe. Joe Mandino. He's right behind us. And then the second day, I'm walking to meet you guys for dinner. And I get caught in a crowd of Metallica fans. And I look next to me, and it's just Joe. It's just walking next to me. The juxtaposition of Metallica fans and Wizard of Oz. We were joking, like, I'll be your Metallica dad if you'll be my Wizard of Oz daughter. Because that is what was happening. It was very sweet. It was like, hey, the big family trip is like, hey, we'll take little Susie to go see Wizard of Oz. And then mom and dad are hitting the Metallica show. Yeah, we'll drop her off at the babysitter, and we're going to rock out with our cocks out. I didn't realize that the Wizard of Oz is, like, immersive. Like, somebody came on my TikTok yesterday, but they blow wind at you. They drop things from, like, I thought it was just, like, on the screen. Yeah, I think it's a whole experience. And I wish we got to see it. We didn't. But maybe one day. The visuals that we were seeing in the videos from the Metallica shows, oh, my God. We're going to scare the shit out of me. Yeah. There's one giant monster. Is that a thing? Like, is that monster, like, a Metallica thing? I don't know. But it looked like some shit out of, like, War of the Worlds or something. Matthew McConaughey was there. Stranger Things. I don't know what was going on. But it was Matt. And then it, like, looks like it's throwing things. But obviously it's not. But I feel like that's, like, I would have been like, ah! I feel like they kind of do that at DJ, like, raves, too. Yes. Like, it was kind of scary. Sure, but this one was scary. Seeing that Matthew McConaughey was there, I can't believe it. I could not believe we were in the same vicinity as him. At the same time. So close. Yeah, it's so far. We gambled for, like, two seconds. I played blackjack at the computer as well. What is it called? The digital blackjack? The digital. Because I have just a fear of, like, being yelled at. Like, that's just where, like, sitting at, like, my biggest fear is sitting at a table and, like, somebody looking at me, like, what a stupid idiot. That was my nine. No, like, and, like, that, I can't do it. I can't do it. Like, I'm so, like, it's a crippling anxiety that I cannot say. But you know what you do, like, which I was just basically doing the whole time, is you just ask, I'm like, what should I do here? No, no, but I don't want it to seem like I don't know what I'm doing. Oh, I don't care. Like, that's, like, I don't want to. They'd rather tell you than you, like, make a terrible move and fuck their hand up. No, no, no. That's why I can just sit and press the button. Yeah, it's relaxing. Know what I'm doing. And I, you know, I made 30 bucks and I said, 30 bucks, I'm out of here. It's a win. I'm out of here. I put 20 in, I left with 50. That's amazing. I lost my remaining $7 in cash on the roulette. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And that was it. That was our big time. But we only sat, really, for 10 minutes before we had to leave for our red eye. And then I was, I was so upset. I was like, oh, my God. Yeah, you had the, you, you, you, it was a tease for you because you were like, I can't believe I sat down for 10 minutes because now I wish I had, like, three hours. I wish I had gone early. I wish instead of resting my eyes, I would have gone to gamble earlier. It was, we, Fran and I were laying in bed after the day club, getting, waiting to get ready for dinner. And three separate times, Fran hit me with a, wow, on her phone. And every time, I was like, what happened? Like, it happened three times in the span of 30 minutes. I thought I was going to get hit with some crazy news every time. Every time it was, like, the most hilarious news ever. Michaela from Mormon Wives dyed her hair dark. And you would have thought the way that Fran reacted to her phone, I thought something me. And it looked fantastic. Yeah. It really looked really. She looked so great. No, it looked great. And she was like, wow. And I said, what? And she goes, all right, you're not going to like, you're not going to like what I'm about to tell you. No, no, no, no. I said, when I say it out loud, it's going to sound stupid. But honestly, it kind of warranted the reaction because she did look great. Yeah. You know, nothing is more amusing than your own TikTok algorithm. So it was just like. You're telling me. Videos were coming up and I was like, wow. Nobody ever answers the TikToks I send them. I forget what the other one was. I forgot what the other one was too. That was about some married couple. I forget what it was. I forget. But it was something like similar. Yeah. Which was very funny. And then we went down the path of deciding if I should dye my hair red, which I won't be doing. I won't be doing. But we did talk about it for like 10 minutes. We were like, that would be fun. It would be a really cool look on you. But I just think you have too much good hair to, you know. I can't go down the red path because what if it never comes out? Yeah. And I know that I won't want it for long. And then. And you'll eventually. And I think it's harder when you are someone that does change it more. And then if you wanted to like try to go back to blonde. Yeah. But like then you're kind of stuck in like an orange situation because you can't get it all the way back to the blonde that you want. It would be a disaster. You are red. I mean, this has been. You have been that color for years. You don't change it up. No. I'm always bouncing back and forth between two colors. Yeah. So if I all of a sudden threw a third in the mix. Right, right, right. We have a big problem on our hands. Like, you know, my stylist would actually murder me. Yeah. She would not. She wouldn't even do it. Yeah. Like there would. There'd be no question. Oh my God. But it was fun to play around and talk about it. No, it was so much fun. We had a blast. Thursday night I went to a taping of Jimmy Kimmel. Yes. Which was really fun. Got to go backstage. Met Jimmy. He was lovely. Jimmy's wife also lovely. You took some great pics. Great pics. Jimmy looked great. Jimmy did look great. He almost looked like a wax figure of himself. Yeah. Yeah. Well, you know, he's in his. He's in his. He's in his show makeup. At the. There was like a little. Wasn't even really little. It was honestly a lot of people. But after party that. That we were at. And he. He was in his casuals. Oh, okay. He looked more relaxed. Yeah. He looked like maybe he was able to wipe his face off. Oh, okay. Wow. Because he was in his show makeup. Yeah. They had him all. Done up. Had him all done up. Which was so nice. They. You know, everyone's just so excited about Guillermo. Like he's just the. He's just the star right now. He walked into the after party. Everybody's freaking out about him. Everyone wants to talk to him about Dancing with the Stars. Talk about his. How is he feeling? The practice. He's full of jokes. He's like. Oh, it's so hard. It's. But he's. And it was so fun. Honestly, they were talking about it during the show. And then. Jimmy was like. And everybody here. You're all leaving. With some of Guillermo's salsa. Hell yeah. Because he's got his whole new salsa biz. And I said. Oh my God. I tried this salsa the other week when I was there. And I'm bringing this bad boy home. I carried it with me. I had just. I didn't have a bag to put it in. I just had salsa in my hand from the taping to backstage to get in the Uber to the after. Like there was food. It was at a. We were at a Italian restaurant. So there was so much food going around. But I was like, Mike, I will protect. I will protect this salsa. That salsa rocks. The salsa is delicious. And I was like, I will be taking this home. Everyone kept looking at me like, wow, you really held on to your salsa. Sisterhood of the traveling salsa. Really held on to your salsa. I was like. Yeah, I'm not letting this go. So it was. It was. It was fun. It was really cool to see. I've never been to late night taping, which was very cool in Brooklyn. Big theater, which is a different setting than when they do it in L.A. or a different network. And it was Seth Meyers and John Oliver and Robbie Hoffman, who is hysterical. I didn't get to see Gabby. Gabby was there. But I think we had just. Missed each other. Gabby's going to Jimmy Kimmel. Yeah, Gabby when he's going to Brooklyn. But, you know, you get those guys in a room. It's good laughs. Yeah. Seth, John, Jimmy. They're all hamming it up. They're all in the biz. They all have similar experiences. Laughing inside jokes. They were having a good time. Even John Oliver was joking about his children being so obsessed with Guillermo on Dance with the Stars. Not anybody else. They were like, I don't think. He was like, I don't think my kids would watch if Guillermo wasn't like they have no interest. But with Guillermo, it was cracking me up because he was like my eight year old. You know, it's it shows on late. So sometimes they don't get to see all the way to the end. Who maybe they get to see Guillermo's dance, but maybe not. And he says, like, sometimes that wake up in the morning. He's like, ah, rubbing his eyes, waking up to Guillermo. Is Guillermo safe? Relatable. Like, yes. He was like, oh, thank God. The first thing he's thinking about when he when he wakes up. So that was it was it was a lovely time. And it was right off to right off to Vegas. Right off to Vegas. And then tonight you're doing the book talk with Chrissy Carlson Romano. Yes. Which, by the way, has been making waves on TikTok. Her book. Well, let me tell you something. I read the whole book actually at the pool on Friday. And I was taking some notes in my phone. As I was going along. And if you were to objectively just look at the notes that I was writing, you'd be like, wait, what the fuck was going on with her life? Like, you would really it's especially because there's a certain point where she had some fairly tumultuous relationships in her 20s. And it's like, I'm like, OK, like, it's like engagement cheating. Like, there's just a lot of a lot. A lot of stuff going on. I didn't realize she had a boyfriend, fiance, who like really estranged her from her family. A lot of a lot of juicy stuff in this in this book. And I'm excited to talk to her about a lot of it. She has a very unique experience. There's a lot of different paths that child stars can go on and a lot of different outcomes of what their life turns into. And she's telling her story. And by the way, she has every right to, 'cause I've seen some people kind of being like, why me? why is she writing this book like and talking about other people i don't know it's her fucking life she's got these stories it's her she lived it like and i don't think she objectively said anything like nasty about anybody or caused any issues it was like just all of these other people are so vital in her telling her own story it's like all experiences that she lived through and they're very interesting stories i don't see what everybody's issue is with her telling her story i mean everybody has a freaking book like i know i i don't see the problem but um that's gonna be awesome can people still buy tickets if this comes out yeah yeah we're at the 92y and i also think you can stream it oh yes um i think you can buy i it's to stream as well uh my mom replied to my story because like half the time i hear from her on instagram like she's like so she swept up on my story and just said gonna hotel rooms um horseback riding yeah for the first time i'm so excited to see you on a horse well brie is also coming on the trip yeah on a chicken fry and she was texting me last night and uh no both of us have never been horseback riding i'm smiling ear to ear let me tell you when i saw horseback riding on the itinerary i sent a selfie of me like grinning ear to ear to ria and i was just like me thinking about you on a horse no i genuinely i can't figure out what do i even wear can i wear like black they they wrote so they've been giving us like a tire yes they said wear comfortable pants yes and stuff to horseback ride can i wear black leggings with boots you could do like black leggings in a in a cowboy boot okay what are you wearing i will probably say comfortable pants but you told me you were gonna wear jeans that's not comfortable pants to to me that is a horseback ride like i i would probably wear like denim i probably i'm most likely gonna wear jeans and cowboy boots is that like the thing to do with horseback riding i want to fit in so i don't want to show up in black leggings and boots yeah to me like black pants tucked into a boot i picture horseback riding i've never seen somebody well i used to i used to wear jeans with some half chaps in my and my half chaps okay so actually you know what i won't be packing those i don't own those anymore i actually have seen people wear red but it's like more casual it's like a skinny like a skinny jean and yeah obviously i've seen people wear jeans while horseback riding what i don't know why i said that it's very common very common and western i think extremely popular more so than you know the at the rodeo they're wearing jeans totally i don't know why a lot of people in denim what is wrong with me i actually think it's a better material just a little hardier just in case anything happens you know you're a little more protected in denim what do you mean just in case anything happens no it's just like no it's more about i feel like the things roaming up against you yeah like you're on a saddle it's like a legging is not a it's not it's thin yeah like a denim is nice to just like on leather when i went horseback riding last year i feel like that's something that they said like wear like thick pants yeah okay so not a legging so i actually think i i i recommend a jean a boot cut jean yes i recommend a denim okay yeah okay we'll figure it out we'll we'll we'll figure it out it'll be great oh god i'm so excited i'm very excited though can't wait never been to montana yellowstone big sky yeah it's a new state new state to cross off the list for us yes very exciting when your flight is landing play the john mayer album paradise valley okay we'll do it'll look really sad but it's a good idea i think it's a good idea i think it's a good idea um noted really happy we're going together because if we didn't have each other yeah i would have been way more i actually i don't know if i'd go yeah on one friend and then they're like her little boo-boo well it i mean now they you know some of these friendships burn bright in certain moments but they burn bright when it is beneficial to to both you know like dakota's got a lot she's promoting right now but they've been friends for a long time and taylor definitely like still has it's not like the people she was friends with is she's no longer like it's not like they're friends for a little while then there's then they're gone there's some there's some there's some like that but then there's a lot that she's kept right i think that she has a lot of really great friendships that we're just not seeing all the time because they're not promoting something like this is great for them right now they're they've been friends for a long therapist and taylor dating musicians you just show up at my door and you know yeah you're like empty bottle of wine and it is that was a fitting joke too because i remember we were just talking about can go come come and go from she from taylor's apartment when she needs to she trusts people in her life to go to her place now she did mention two public breakups with musicians that being chris martin and i guess she was referring to role model which like i didn't know was like that public of a breakup i didn't even it was like a blip i thought they just like went on a couple dates and that was really it no it seemed to maybe be a little bit more serious than we had thought maybe not serious but like it went on longer than i think we thought he did put her in that song her voice but i feel like it wasn't like a public breakup because like what was public about the breakup other than like no the only thing that was public about the breakup was that they like put they said they broke up did they like actually say that yeah yeah okay i'm pretty sure they're they're like i want to say i i maybe i want to fact check myself but now i i feel like i remember a people article or something being like yeah it there it's over confirmed people yeah yeah a while ago exclusive yeah so that's that's their people told people yeah their people told people to say that they broke up a huge public breakup like compared to like chris martin no but there wasn't like a lot of drama you know there i think she was also with chris martin way longer this happened in december 2025 i mean time really freaking flies oh my god i was like what like how could that be that is crazy how could that possibly be well she likes herself a musician because now she's been seeing machine gun kelly and my favorite thing is all the spottings of machine gun kelly facetiming dakota johnson like have you seen that on dual like every week it's like michigan kelly's seen facetiming like he's just always facetiming her in public she really does love a musician i and i saw uh because they did a lot of press together those three josh and anne hathaway and dakota for verity that they were asked who their first like celebrity crush was and dakota said some guy from a band that i've never heard of and anne hathaway was like god you're so cool she was like who even is that you know i keep seeing like you're just such a music gal i keep seeing anne hathaway just talk about how cool she thinks dakota johnson is yeah she's like i think her just existence she's just so cool and she really does seem that way who are her parents again dakota johnson's parents are um kathy lee gifford right oh no no no melanie melanie griffith kathy lee gifford kathy lee gifford whose kid is kathy lee gifford someone is i looked at you like melanie griff griffith i look i was like oh yeah obviously kathy lee is dakota johnson's mom cody grifford and cassidy griff oh no no nope easily mixed up with dakota johnson yeah cassie did try and was was trying to be an actress for a little bit there don johnson you know what it was just the name of the movie it was the name of the movie it was the name of the name griffith yeah that's really funny i look at you like uh-huh no not even but melanie griffith yes and here's the thing was she was with antonio banderas for a really really long time to go to johnson like looked at there's a very prominent stepdad in her life that's awesome i don't know that why did i say awesome like oh because how long i mean they were married 1996 to 2015 that's a like 37 yeah october 4th 1989 oh it was her birthday yesterday oh yeah because of that oh it's like the whole point of taylor swift coming out happy birthday dakota wait that was why she came out i watch basically the entire show which is a pretty easy way to consume to consume the show right you could say that you watch but when you see the skit that she did with those three guys who i can never remember the name of their trio yeah um please destroy yeah that was funny because please destroy i appreciated that other name i'm gonna fuck up because she was like leaning into it was very self-deprecating about like how she acts and she does if there's anybody that in hollywood that feels very self-aware it is dakota johnson like she seems very self-aware of what she does and how she is perceived i agree and all those things and can and can joke about it she's done a bunch of very funny like the last time she was on she did a very funny sketch with them too yeah and they did at one point they did like a nepo joke where they were like nepo truce right because one of them one of them she made a joke like oh was your dad get you this job or something like that right one of them are we really going to talk about that and they were like nepo truce yeah yeah nepo truce yeah yeah you're like come on fellow nepo doesn't throw another nepo under the bus that's funny that is a funny joke yeah uh yeah so she crushed it good promotion for for verity and uh although verity is not getting not getting the best reviews no no it's it's certainly very mixed but like i gotta say this is what i expected from from this movie just because i think there's so and we can talk about it more in a weekly watch report because we can give a i saw so many people went to it's like objectively you think oh yeah whatever it may be getting panned but it made so much money oh it did yeah and then you look at like the tom cruise movie that just bombed eight million dollars for the tom bombed and that one's not gonna get a review either but it says tom cruise movie bombs will lose 150 million dollars yeah i mean that doesn't have great reviews either but and and one made money and one didn't so what like the studio this studio is gonna be pretty happy about the one that made money people are gonna be pretty happy about the one that made money people are joking because anne hathaway and tom cruise are going to be in a movie together coming up so they're like oh they can both they're going to be in a movie together you didn't see that that promo video that they they released like i forget how long um no it was like a social like just them together um i forget what the movie is uh yeah it was this thing days of thunder summer 2028 i think it's on annie it was just like he looks on to me tom cruise playing a an old salty nascar nascar rider that's not ready to give up his career and anne hathaway's like it's time to retire oh it's a remake oh he was in the original i knew that sounded familiar and nicole kidman is that how they met oh that's probably how they met damn and the fast wait scroll down reverie brews between your kid oh that's i like this sounds good under yeah you know what never seen this came out in 1990 and they're doing a remake oh oh it's not coming out for a while she's a team owner summer 2028 anne hathaway hi it's so cool that people call her annie when they they know when they know her well enough i know i wish i could call her annie yeah that's you could i don't know her like that you don't know her like that you're like i can't call her annie unless she says you can call me annie right and that's you know her friends you know well anyways this will be fun i mean hey she she doesn't sleep she doesn't stop filming movies no it's but it's already it's crazy it's like she is taking a break now but she's she's got everything lined up for when she comes yeah maybe we won't see her until 2028 yeah she said that she was like i'm gone i'm out of here see ya yeah uh all right moving on gypsy rose's fiancee was found dead yes on his what would have been his 34th birthday apparently alleged to overdose with an unknown substance he had a gun by his side i don't know things aren't looking good here no this whole thing is very murky uh just doesn't you know and everyone i'm sure everyone had the same thought you know not gonna say what that thought was i feel like but i imagine everybody had the same for legal reasons you can't say yeah yeah we because we don't we can't but everyone i'm sure was thinking what we're thinking and as she allegedly sold the story to tmz is what what his family said dude remember when gypsy rose got out and everyone was like so gung-ho about gypsy rose and like making her this huge star and we made a video yeah they were acting like she was anne hathaway yeah yeah and we made a video being like let's hold off here right and we got ripped apart for being like let's hold off on the gypsy rose love yeah we got we got ripped apart i remember archiving the video because we were like all right i guess we're the ones that's i don't know what's going on she just launched a petition to combat harassment and cyber bullying after after his death she's turning her pain into purpose by launching a petition against targeted harassment and cyber bullying she shared a change.org petition to social media this this whole story is crazy it is really nuts there's really not much to say besides first of all it means that they have a kid somebody has died so it is awful uh but nino has opened a whole bunch of speculation yeah yes they have a kid uh recent she recently yeah 2024 allegedly uh from tmz that says that she sent ken a happy birthday text and did not receive a response he was later found by gypsy's brother dylan and his wife when they arrived at the home then ken's sister went live on tiktok that night confirming his death and revealing that his last words to her were i love you they welcomed a daughter in december 2024 and they first connected when gypsy was still in prison he proposed to her in october 2018 yeah they called off their engagement then reunited in august 2019 then broke up again then with he she got right married and split in the whole thing and then then they got back together yes it's kind of odd she would be texting her fiance and baby daddy happy birthday like that in the morning in the morning right like wouldn't yeah i don't know where i don't know where she was exactly that's what i'm saying like wouldn't you right be saying it in person or like a phone call yeah yeah you would i don't know you know what i'm saying like yeah yep tmz obtained the police report detailing a troubling picture of the scene deputies walked into um which i feel like you know that's what we were what we're saying that there was he was allegedly found with drug paraphernalia and a gun near his body um debbie but it's also said that he was found by gypsy's brother is that isn't that what i just said yes deputies were called to ken's louisiana home thursday evening for a welfare check after he stopped answering his phone and wouldn't come to the door the report says ken was cold to the touch not breathing when he was found yeah i mean there's a whole load of whole load of drugs allegedly found near yeah that's awful yeah it is really really says that uh ken was yeah i mean i don't need to read the details that's pretty it's it's it's very awful deputies were also told ken had been at church with members of the blanchard family wednesday night and had made comments about being depressed and upset and then when he failed to show up for work thursday that the family decided to check on him and contact authorities yeah that's awful i mean once like it's just really does seem that uh tragic events have followed her and her life constantly like it's very very crazy to see like you saw that headline you went oh you gotta be kidding me yeah like what is going on just immediately talking to the press is very yeah suspicious no good i mean look your fiance before talking to your own family members you're gonna call tmz talk to them before even talking to his family i i that's how they're gonna find out on tmz at the end of the day she's she's not well no like you know i think it's hard to judge her on what a rational human being would do in that situation i don't think those are i don't think they're comparable no if that makes sense like for you to be like oh like you're not gonna call i'm like that would make sense yeah we wouldn't do that but what would gypsy rose but i think her whole viewpoint of the world is very very tainted obviously as soon as she came out of jail she was thrust into superstardom it's like all she it's all she knows now is like everybody it really nobody's crazy everybody the way that everything she does is reported on in the tabloids like she is an a-list celebrity like everything that she does is reported on and that's what happened so i can't like what that does to your brain chemistry i don't i don't know like right like already because there was a lot of people who were like oh my god i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't know a lot going on and it's like then then there's that yeah it's like you feel like tmz is the first phone call you make i don't know or gypsy's like i'm so famous i have to call tmz yeah yeah i don't know i don't know i don't know but i i and in the sense of like being like well that's a crazy thing to do is i'm like well i don't think it's comparable what we would do versus what she would do and that is not to defend her that's just making uh sense of the situation yeah which is you can't make sense of but legally really not gonna say many more thoughts on this because you can't because we don't know what happened and i will say it's pretty to read the tmz article it's pretty detailed you know i don't think like the police report is right there to read and like what they walked into and saw and all of that so it's hard to sort of argue with that right it's and then that's incredibly sad yeah uh you know yeah so moving on abc will not abc but bachelor producers and warner brothers sent a cease and desist to chris harrison for his new upcoming show the vow which is supposed to air in november there was some trailers for it already i don't know how this works like i don't know if it's just because it like think about all the reality shows that have similar ideas yeah that people just like make now that you just change it a little bit and you can get away with it so i i feel like i don't know if they have a case here or not it's definitely because it's chris harrison well because he's hosting and i wonder if in his contract when he left there were certain things right like you can't go and host another probably probably was right because then he got paid like off a huge amount yeah i think he got paid a ton and they were probably like hey we'll pay you but you can't go you can't go make the batch yeah i wonder if it's i wonder if it's similar to like with no wiley with er when they were like he couldn't make like they were like you just made a new version of er despite not being able to do that like with the you know that there is certain legality around that how about they just bring chris back like i think they can make the show but there's certain words and things that they can't use because i think the bachelor has those locked down you know it says the letter dated friday september 18th objects to promos featuring falling rose petals mansions and the words the bachelor it argues the materials right on the goodwill of the franchise and references state and federal trademark copyright and unfair competition laws fox's response on thursday september 24th says wbtv lacks rights to a quote falling roses motif or clickable uses of the bachelor and says still and says still omits the trailer's context about premieres november 11th with six episodes airing weekly following 30 year old loan officer jace cates and 10 eligible bachelorettes so they'll just go back and forth on it it's like certain things i guess you know that's what you're saying you see things that to the regular person's eye is synonymous with the bachelor roses mansion you think the bachelor the bachelor's like hey you can't use this and they're like well i think we can so i don't know i don't i didn't really think chris harrison needed to do something like this either but when it's in your blood maybe you just can't give it up right he just wants people to find that love i'm just not really necessarily interested in watching a show anymore about people like the end goal of them is to get engaged engaged and married because that and that's obviously we are for marriage i'm saying but like now it's just not believable yeah yeah that because of the way things have changed like yes there are very successful couples from the show i mean kelsey and joey were great pals they're getting married like there there's so many successful stories but it has just changed so much with the people who are trying to be on the show for sure and the outcome that now it just looks at it like it's like it's like oh they're just kind of doing it to get some kind of fame or yeah you know or they pick really young people that are not really ready yeah so i don't know i think it had its time and it was great and there are success stories but i think that the reality tv landscape has shifted and we've kind of moved past this format yeah realistically i think they are going to try and bring it back because they just can't confirm i feel like they just don't want to admit it's dead and then they also just lost so much with the taylor frankie paul season everything that happened um that's i don't know if they want like that to be the ending for the franchise so i could see them trying to do something uh there are rumors that they are reportedly eyeing this viral doctor dr mike to be the next bachelor they wanted to lead season 30 this was a page six story that uh you know they want to pick somebody who's age appropriate really looking for love i think he's 36 he's big on on social he's got a lot millions and millions of followers on his uh instagram six million on instagram 15 million followers on youtube 36 year old family medicine practitioner so that i don't know that would be an interesting avenue to go down i do think they should go down the avenue of someone not known um i know that that's being i'm sure that's being discussed um , but i think they should go with someone if they are going to bring it back go with someone like this who who is obviously that's for me to say not known he's very known but he's not known within the franchise like it's not somebody that's been on another show or anything like that and someone that is a little bit older they can maybe go away from it they don't need to have the messaging be you must get engaged at the end of this if they want to shift it they should if they pick somebody who's age appropriate they should go with someone who's age appropriate if they pick somebody younger they definitely should yeah um i just can't imagine like i just think it's almost a pride thing too it's like season 30 of the bachelor you know they're like they're gonna give up before that before they hit season 30 like i think they're in their minds it's like we got to be able to bring this back for a big milestone a big season 30 and and see what happens and what could go down but uh they they should go with someone that is seemingly well liked and believable that they want to fall in love and have a long-term committed relationship very much ready to settle down yeah we need to believe that yeah not like harry jowsey no no nobody was ever gonna believe no like don't give me some 25 year old hot shot that i'm like no shut and let no no because then it's then it's just a different type of dating show and there's nine million different dating shows now and that's what makes the bachelor the bachelor is you want to believe in that in them wanting like a a real relationship if you thought like hey let's date around fuck around we'll watch love island like it's not where we think we want we want to watch uh and believe a real relationship can come out of the bachelor make us believe yes that's it make us feel something yes that's all but imagine i'm giving you a standing ovation i see it isn't it how about you wow thank you thank you i thought i feel like you kind of said you wore out over text the other day or like you kind of alluded to like watching it well the big yes news wasn't to you guys yeah it was to our listeners that's why i said at the beginning i was like i know what it is oh we've been talking no you know people listen to the show and this is for them yeah yeah yeah we are not just having a conversation that i told you yeah and she told me too yeah yeah i am on episode 12 yes so you've been where do you find the time have you watched away from a plane no i have only been watching on delta flights yes because delta has the full first season of gilmore girls yes and so i first started when we flew to la for dancing with the stars but then i was not on monday's episode for the weekly watch report so i wasn't able to talk about how i started it but i was looking for something to watch and i saw they had the full first season and i said perfect this is perfect this is the time so i clicked play and i watched six episodes on the way to la then i had a hectic week so i didn't watch any tv at all because we had a big week it was a big week last week yeah but i was also moving and my tvs weren't i didn't have wi-fi or anything i like that the tvs weren't connected for me to even watch anything so then on the way to vegas i said all right episode seven and i watched up until episode 12 and i'm really liking it now is it groundbreaking no but i'm only in the first season yeah i'm just now getting extremely invested yeah is it giving you like autumn vibes yes 1000 i understand what people mean it's such a fall show it's cozy it's comfortable it's like i could put it on and be at ease which is really nice because that's really where it comes that's what it comes down to like i would never define this as like groundbreaking you know you're not but you're not on the edge of your seat every episode type of thing it's just a warm hug right that it's just really cozy to watch yes and i'm really enjoying it and i i like that i have something that i could because we have a lot of travel coming up now and like in a few weeks that i'm like oh gil this is gonna be my traveling like comfort plane show obviously they only have i'm gonna have to now bring my ipad to watch right because after the first season they don't have the other seasons on the delta planes so delta excuse me if you would add uh the seasons but all seasons that would be really nice for me so i'm very much enjoying it and i'm very happy that i started it and it was and it was perfect that it was just waiting for me first season i couldn't find yeah i was looking for other things to watch nothing was sticking out to me i said well why not just do this will you continue when you're not on a plane yes i will i will continue when i'm not on a plane because i'm just like envisioning the setup in your new apartment oh yeah we've got more girls on the tv oh and my and like i gave myself goosebumps what do you think i'm just be so with like the leaves changing outside your window like all my stuff i need to lay down all day today yeah and just watch gilmore girls and by the way on the topic of the new apartment i have to give a huge thank you to my in-laws who came this weekend to help matt unpack because we were away and not not only did they unpack they organized my entire life for me so nice and i have i am so thankful i have never had a closet disorganized in my entire life it's a dream my mother-in-law practically color coordinated my closet she put every fabric of clothes in the same place or leather in the same place are together your sweaters are together everything is so freaking organized it's a dream and i don't have to do a thing don't you feel amazing no like when you see all your you're like i have all my all my clothes in my closet getting dressed this morning i can see it all although i'm not in some fabulous outfit i am in a sweatsuit but being able to be like all right the sweatshirt's right there and the sweatshirt's right there and the sweatshirt's right there and they go together boom what i i feel so light and airy like i can just bounce my way through life it's a dream with the way that it's so organized i can't thank them enough like genuinely i am so grateful they are the freaking best for doing that like i just am so like what and they were non-stop because then i we took a red eye so i walked in the door at like 8 a.m they're still working on things i looked at them i said please rest please please at 8 a.m at 8 a.m they were up do still like doing things because really really cool we now have my father-in-law's pool table that he grew up with like when his brother was in fifth grade his mom got this pool table his brother is now 66 so like this this is a very old pool table it's really cool it looks antique like the felt is brown it's gorgeous and i'm like oh my god i'm gonna go to the pool table and i'm like oh my god and we have enough room that we needed to to fill up the space we said this pool table to be perfect and it was quite the scene getting it there apparently i don't know i wasn't involved with the moving i was gonna say that i can't imagine it's easy to get a pool table no no no up a walk-up no a moving company did it and they had to like take it apart the carpenter had to come and take it apart and then put it all back together yeah so it was a whole thing yes which i was not there for but it is so gorgeous and so cool my mother-in-law was sewing the pockets of the pool table when i walked i said what are you doing i said please yeah and and all the pockets were fixed i'm like god bless your soul yeah that is amazing we played four games last night of pool because we had to break it in which was so awesome it's so funny like to be a billiards champion oh my god i well i can't wait but it's so funny because you know like you realize you have like we have parasocial relationships with people that we follow right like there are people that we follow and follow every move and then people do that with us and i've been posting like little glimpses of our apartment and people are like where where's your other couch where's your other furniture i'm like no i still most i still have most of my other furniture besides the table we left for our landlords but like i still have my other couch it's just in a different part of the apartment and i'm like i feel the need to respond to everybody who asked because i'm like oh we're friends they're like what happened to your other couch i'm like oh i still have it also there's like so many reasons why you could potentially not have that right well i thought that people were kind of like like you could have it could not it could not be the right size for the new apartment and i thought you could have said hey i actually sold it because i needed a new or i donated like like there's which we did a lot of other possibilities which we did with other little pieces of furniture but i just felt like people were accusing me of like just like getting rid of nice stuff and then getting new stuff and it's like no that's not like i'm not just like getting rid of everything and getting off but you also could have literally not had a choice like you know what i'm saying like if there's a world where you could have been moving into an apartment where you physically could not fit or have that couch and also this place is just so much bigger that i had to get more furniture like i'm like this i have to get more solely square footage wise you need i needed more furniture which is why we brought the pool table in because i was like we have to you know fill this out but it looks so gorgeous and i can't wait for you you're gonna have to you're gonna have to share it because at this people listening to be like this place is so fucking huge you should put a fucking pool table in there i will once the car i will definitely post pictures of the i could just have made like people like this she's in manhattan with the fucking pool table in her apartment it's so ridiculous it is but it's awesome it is so awesome yeah and uh the the pool table when you tell somebody like that's ridiculous but then when you see it you're like oh that makes sense it makes sense but i will wait until the carpet that i got comes in for underneath the pool table because i found this cool carpet on etsy it's like a funky yeah irregular shaped maroon carpet that i like you're in your you're in your rug game right now yeah you've got a lot of really cool different rugs in there so that'll go under the pool table but it's hilarious because last night we were like all right let's have some old fashions play some pool oh yeah yeah just living that that upper west side life yeah it is it's so manhattan yeah actually speaking of upper west side we today we had our first semi run-in yes i saw you guys are on the same train line we're on the same train i said you need to find because you know how you find like hey your stop the right car to get into that it takes you directly into like yeah yeah where i've lived there for long enough where i know where to go once you find that then we'll be on the same car like i'll see you yes or you'll see me walking i was only one car and i was like oh my god i'm far away from you and i saw him get out and then i ran up to him and i was like hey i'm like not in front of my fellow commuters yeah like he's like you're embarrassing me right now but i was so excited it was our first run-in yeah you have so much to learn she's like why are you going out this way i'm like it's so it's so dangerous that noah's so close now like the well it's like i don't even know how often we are actually gonna hang out but it feels like you know when you move somewhere close to somebody you're like oh my god we're gonna like be together all the time i don't know how much we actually are but i will say last week during the yankees were playing and matt had to come to work to stream and we were getting the movers were delivering something and i was gonna be alone and matt was like oh i don't want you here alone with like people coming in you know i whatever and i'm like oh no it's fine he was like i'm gonna call noah to see if he'll come stay with you while i said please don't it's like come come on is that is that better than being alone yeah i was like i was gonna do no i was like hey i already saved her life well then he did then matt this weekend was like hell yeah that's what i like to hear when i'm not around noah's stepping in but i'm like no because we had just like recorded our episode i knew no it was like editing and sending me clips i said no because then he's gonna like ask me these questions in person and then i won't be able to ignore him i'm gonna have to answer all of them like if he's sitting next to me so i opted to be alone but then they didn't actually they didn't end up coming anyway so it was best of both worlds yeah was not an issue yeah so anyways go more girls i will give it right now i'm gonna give it a b plus because so reasonable that's that's why i'm out with it uh verity you think about in those early episodes you know i have a lot to say about that but really not at all at the same time i don't know how to gather my thoughts all together i didn't know he was in the show at all which made me feel silly and stupid yeah he was so young yeah this is way before one tree hill right it was before because i'm like oh my god not like that much before but before i just didn't know he was in it and so i was kind of like a prominent figure yeah in the early episodes i also texted you and i said why does it seem like lorelei and dean have a flirty relationship and yes i said i haven't really i never felt that well i think it's because she's like a cool mom not a regular mom so the way she talks to dean yeah is like younger than like how like a mom like for sure you know a stern bomb would talk to him for sure so i was just like obviously this would be highly inappropriate not a subplot of gilmore girls but i was like is there any way lorelei and dean get together later on you know but no that would be very i will i will spoil that for you no thank you because part of me was like this is weird yeah on the other side of that she looks so much like taylor swift in the early seasons and i refuse to hear otherwise i guess i see that for sure the facial expressions like the eyes the mouth is so taylor swift just they're very similar eyes what is lorelei's real name in real life lauren graham okay i didn't know that yeah um i maybe i did but like i didn't like the other one is alexis alexis yeah okay i know you've i you i know you've definitely seen the pacifier oh yeah lauren graham god i love the pacifier when i was you never did parenthood no yeah yeah she's parenthood was also great moving on verity i will give a b now here's the thing i keep wanting to say variety because did you see tyler's post tyler and no i did a review and he initially wrote variety review yeah yeah oh but then he changed it and so now in my head i just keep going to say variety um i'll give it a b yeah it's we talked about it so we talked about this and i've seen more reviews of course as people have seen it and it is true that i don't know if it's true but i think it's true that it's certainly all over the map with how people feel about this movie i will say i felt fairly confident that critics were not going to be like loving this movie and i think a lot of that has to do with the source material and i think that there's a lot of uh you know like the film buffs and the and the book literature buffs come from a very similar place where like colin who i don't know colin hoover they're like no just like we we look down on the colin hoover novel you know and therefore that leads to them being like well let's check the material because of what they're working with the book's not gonna not gonna be any good because the book the movie's not gonna be any good because the book's no good that felt like a big part of a lot of what i was seeing and then there's just also so many people that really fucking love this book it's such a massive book i saw so many girls like this is my favorite favorite favorite book and when that happens i just think you're always a little disappointed by the adaptation just because if you love love love the book here anne hathaway said that when we were there she's like who read the book here and everyone like raised her hand and she's like i'm afraid of all of you yeah yeah yeah yeah just because there's certain things that they they can't put in and i know i saw a lot of that like all viral videos of all all the things they left out of verity like that people are so upset that they left out certain relationships low in and um the other kid which objectively speaking i understand because there's going to be a lot of people that go to see this movie who have not read the book and i think if you went in blind to this movie and you don't really know what's happening there's already things that could be borderline laughable and then if you threw in a book and you were like oh my god another kid dying in the movie i think people would have been like well this is just fucking ridiculous and it just reads differently it just does like in the book it just it just didn't seem as outlandish right but i think if you put it in our front of our faces in the movie and they did the whole thing with harper and then and and then like and then they're like by the way she not only had what she had two kids die you would have been like all right like come on it would have i i don't think it becomes less believable well you could have put the two twins together on the boat and and and killed them off that way together right there could have been a different way where like they just both die yes together yes instead of making it like yeah but you need to have one living right no but no like have three kids yeah yeah and kill the other two on the boat right right right like she went out with all three and only one yeah but i also don't get why like if it's done that way in the book you read the book were you like this is unbelievable you know like like why i don't know when i read the book i was like this is so fucked up yeah yeah but like it's like you have to suspend your belief anyway no definitely i just think there's something that is very different about reading it verse watching it and when it's condensed when it's condensed in a movie all those things don't like have enough time to breathe like in a book there's just there's just more included so i think in a movie in order to fit it all in with the time like because people were complaining too that there wasn't enough build-up of lowen and jeremy and all of a sudden it's like they're boom they're together but it's like that's just pacing of a movie and they're trying not to have a three-hour you movie if that if it happened in the book i think in the movie with multiple children's deaths i think it would have just happened so quickly that you would have been like whoa like it's just like you're being slapped in the face but then you're like wait a second this is very different because there's some there were some moments where people like straight up laughed in yeah in the when we were at the premiere which you know what i'm saying it seems to be happening in general though with movies that are not supposed to be laughed at when people but with this movie i i guess people would argue like is that why it's not a good movie like because like well you know this point too is like there's moments where people laughed in obsession when it was like not a people were laughing in obsession it's not funny at all you you saw prime time you said people were laughing then yeah but i don't i won't say like i can see why they're like there were definitely times where i'm like uh like this i feel like you shouldn't be laughing but i feel like that is part of the director's like he he probably knew people were gonna laugh at these moments like because they're so like outlandish yeah yeah no i i'm i'm sure so i know that it's it's definitely gotten mixed reviews and then there's also the fact that i think i need to go watch it again because in the excitement of being at the premiere you know it's i'm watching the movie and halfway was just talking to us five minutes before the movie starts like you're you're caught up in it all and maybe you don't watch it in the most critical length of time and then you're like oh my god i'm gonna watch it and then you're like oh my god i'm gonna watch it and then you're like oh my god i'm gonna watch it which i probably wouldn't be doing for this movie regardless like in that sense i thought anne hathaway was fucking fantastic in this movie really really good and i thought that's there are three great act actors who did a pretty incredible job with what they were given with you know the way that this story goes and i thought anne really made verity's whole story so believable because if it was anybody else it could have been really bad like really bad so i i fall in the same camp i think i it ends up being like a b minus for me but same kind but it's i i left being like that was really good and i know you felt like this was better than housemaid i did yes i think that's because i've seen a lot i've seen a lot of people comparing the two and they felt the opposite well here's the thing i think it's a good thing you are adding the premiere into this yeah yeah the excitement so i don't know i don't know that's i don't know if i'm a bias or an unbiased viewer of this true so me tell you is not a great viewing experience and i kind of wish not that i could see i obviously didn't i've never seen it but i wish i could see it so it's a great movie i didn't know but it was the it i will definitely watch it screen because you know on a on a plane you don't get the whole experience it's odd that like one of like christopher nolan movies that like people don't really talk about that much i feel and they should because it's really really i feel like it's been very trendy to talk about but i just feel like when people are making their like best christopher nolan it's never mentioned i saw it a lot i don't see it i saw it a lot because after uh what just what did he just do wow in 15 days it's the 20 year odyssey i'm like what did he just do when the odyssey came watched um i watched this week's episode of real hospitals in new york it's been an interesting banter with uh hayley's just really in the mix i guess like she wants to talk about john gosselin that she doesn't want to talk about john gosselin no one else can talk about jen gosselin john gosselin um erin kind of threw it in her face in a way that was a little absurd and then it's like then she projects everybody else almost like hayley called her boring which is you know not the worst thing to be called it's but people really fucking hate to be called boring and she was like oh you think i'm boring i think what all the shit you pull with john goss like it's like whoa those two do not equal each other in terms of like i'm boring well you're a fucking slut yeah yeah like it was like oh whoa everyone at the table was like i don't really know why you had to bring that up like it's like yeah not quite the same and then i feel like it's like sometimes erin gets a little i hate to use the term but like a little gaslighty in the sense that she's like well you talk about it all the time like you bring it up like it's not my fault that you talk about it all the time as you're sort of just like distorting reality a little bit uh but erin is in the mix with everybody it does make for for good tv i thought the jessel stuff with um carolyn beset was crazy to like talk to carol about the new people and we talked about that when justin sylvester was on too and uh we obviously watched dancing with the stars which um to be honest yacht rockets i think maybe a b oh i'd give it a c yacht rock not for you it's boring i mean i like yacht rock yeah yeah yeah but not for dancing yeah yeah i think i would give this week's episode a b plus c plus i'll give it and then i think that's oh oh i'm i'm almost caught up on lanterns i know last night was the finale but i watched four five and six i'm up to six now so i only have two left it is very very good i give this show and i'll give these episodes an a minus really good episode five was the one you were talking about yeah great episode a lot of good action really interesting um six i really really like too because you kind of got a little bit more of like the present day what was going on with john which i thought was i'm interested to see how it all ties back together for them to end it so uh really enjoying that and that is that's it okay i'll give verity a c i like the book it is funny to be that guy who's like i like the book more when it's the only book i've read maybe last you were so hyped to say that um yeah uh i feel like there's no way to say that without sounding pretentious but it's like it is like i feel like it's really not pretentious about it it's just like yeah there's just not enough time in the movie for a rush um dakota johnson i don't think she's ever like blown me away so uh i watched the first episode of brothers oh i watched brothers um and it's like a fun show like it's exactly what i expected uh i didn't like love it so far but i've only had one episode in um but i'll give it a c plus for now maybe it'll go up me too i i'll also give it a c plus yeah like it's just it'll be just a show that i throw on yeah yeah fun yeah um and then i did watch the finale of lanterns last night which i won't spoil anything but uh i like the ending a lot because i feel like it teases into the season two it was more of like a now i'm excited for season two it wasn't my favorite episode by any means yeah um but i think we did we got like a setup situation set up but like we did get a lot of context and like information in this episode um but it wasn't like i was on the edge of my seat ever uh but great great show and i'm assuming it's renewed i haven't for season two but i hope so i don't know if it's been a if it was that you want to search it i don't think it's officially been announced um it says is officially in early development so so yes yeah uh but yeah so now i guess yeah
