The transcript covers multiple topics, including a product promotion for New Ollie's precise probiotics, which use clinically studied strains to support targeted health benefits like skin and mental wellness. It also details the medical use and risks of Botox for chronic migraines, warning that serious side effects can occur and that patients must be vigilant about medical history and contraindications. A live entertainment segment features audience interaction, personal anecdotes, and a discussion on media literacy, emphasizing the need to verify news sources, check voter registration details, and recognize misinformation. The conversation includes insights on personal identity, self-worth, and authenticity, with a focus on overcoming societal pressures through self-trust and inner confidence. A key message is that true progress comes from staying grounded in personal values, especially in times of uncertainty. The event also celebrates community and authenticity, highlighting the importance of surrounding oneself with supportive, uplifting relationships rather than those driven by negativity or competition. Ultimately, the narrative combines health, media awareness, and personal empowerment to encourage self-reliance and informed decision-making.

It could be chronic migraine, 15 or more headache days a month, each lasting 4 hours or more. Botox on a botulinum toxin A prevents headaches and adults with chronic migraine. It's not for those who have 14 or fewer headache days a month. Prescription Botox is injected by your doctor. Effects of Botox may spread hours to weeks after injection causing serious symptoms. A lurcher doctor right away as difficulty swallowing, speaking, breathing, eye problems, or muscle weakness can be signs of a life-threatening condition. Patients with these conditions before injection are at highest risk. Side effects may include allergic reactions, neck and injection site pain, fatigue, and headache. Allergic reactions can include rash, welts, asthma symptoms, and dizziness. Don't receive Botox if there's a skin infection. Tell your doctor your medical history, muscle or nerve conditions, including ALS Lou Gehrig's disease, Myasthenia Gravis, or Lambert Eaton syndrome, and medications, including botulinum toxins, as these may increase the risk of serious side effects. So very excited to start this tour to kick this tour off in a place that feels like home to me. I started a very important chapter of my life in this city and so New York feels like coming home. It feels like coming home. Right? Welcome home and so we're about to get this thing started and we're going to bring out our first guest. I feel like- Am I going to play the music again? I said my name is Scott Evans. I'll be your host. We're not fucking around. Yeah, I said the first guest. Look, look, look, check's phone like please tell me they're making it. They own the way. I don't blew this shit up. I can't take it back. Damn, there's people up there. Oh, my life. I want to be like, do people at the top? Mama is happening. That's my mama right there, y'all. That's my mama right there. Oh, my god. Okay, you ready for the first guest? Okay, so this individual, I mean, you talk about bed on himself, put himself in harm's way, in danger to make sure that we had all the information that we could possibly have so that we could be as informed as we possibly could be so that we could be our best. He is no joke when it comes to news. Look, look, look, you're already like, oh, I know who that is. I know who that is. I know who that is. Listen, I couldn't believe I said, you won't bond yet? You won't bond yet? Give it up one time for Dunn Limon! Oh, my god. Is this my margarita? Don't get me started because I'll cut, oh, let's cut up there. What's up, Negro? What up, Negro? Okay. How you doing? How you doing? I'm fine. She good. Look at her. She right there. I saw mama. Mama is fine. Yeah, she was playing. Wait a minute. Wait, you're sitting up higher than me. Whoa. Okay, so y'all don't know, when I refer to you in public, I can't help it. I say your whole neck. I say Dunn Limon. I'm going to phone with Dunn Limon, and Dunn Limon told me that Dunn Limon will be here about three, three, thirty, three, forty, five. Dunn Limon said he going to be early, but we got to start right on time. But it's so good to have you. Thank you so much for being here. Thank you for inviting me. Good looking people, man. He did's good. I know, pretty. They didn't know I was coming. No, I didn't know. I didn't know he was coming a couple of days ago. Do you need a doorbell? Listen, next time, well, you know you got to come to the house. Don't you have anything to know that you're coming to the house? I said next time you in LA, he was like, yeah, because I want to go through your stuff. I've got, yeah, he wouldn't love me. Yeah, as I know, we go through the linen closet. You know, I just wanted to go and say now, what is this? Let's go. Let's clean out your closet. No, we're not. No, we're not going to be cleaning out. Look, we're going to take the glasses off. Now, I can see you good. I did not realize you're a natural blonde. Yeah, go. Yeah, but the garbage, the garbage, matches and drapes everywhere, baby. God, my mama right there. She blind. Can you tell? All right, yeah, prove it. Come on, prove it. Okay, wait, so can we start here? Is it okay? Can we start here? Where did you go anywhere you are? Okay, so it's what I love about you. Don Lemon, I'm a phone. And Don Lemon is texting me and we're talking about this show, heated rivalry. Have you ever heard about it? And so Don Lemon is talking about things he notices in the show. I'm talking about things I notice in the show. You know, there's a couple of different arches and positions and conversations and you heard it. Maybe some of you will get on the way home. I don't know. And Don Lemon and I have a pretty heated exchange. And it just ends. Right before I was about to send him a video of I was at an event with one of the heated rivalry cast members. And I was like, "We was just talking about you. Let me send this." And I said, "Don't send this video to that man. Don't put your phone up. Enjoy your little night." And take your ass home, get in the bed. I wake up to the news that Don Lemon has just been arrested. I said, "For what?" Is he out yet? They're like, "No, he's not out yet." I said, "Oh, no." Did they get his phone? Well, they didn't know. Did you know right away did they have my phone? No, I did not. Until I went to court that first time and then you found out that they saw your nasty ass text message. No, no, this is how I knew. I said, "Brother Man." And we both have Don Lemon and I both have Apple devices. And when I shit a little green, I said, "No, they got my brother." Which means they also got me.
I was like, "Hey Siri, can you delete somebody else's phone from your phone?" She was like, "Can't help you in there." -Did we tell them what you said? -No. I don't. My other phone is in the back that has the. I can tell you what it said. -You were doing an interview with someone. -Yes. And I was messing with you. I said, "Could he get it?" -Yo, no, he's not mad. Could he get it? -Yeah, could he get it? -Like a refreshment. -You're a refreshment. -And then you texted back. -Yes. -I said, "Can you promote you with someone dancing or whatever?" -Yeah, I was like, "And then--." -You know what, a thing on the subway should be like, "Uh-uh." I was like, "Hey, hey, hey, you can probably get it." So then I wake up, "And this thing is in jail." I said, "Oh, Lord, they don't get me." -What would be the first step that you would say for someone who is looking to make sure that the news that they see on their timeline is true, it's real, it's factual. -So today is April 1st, and I would say every story that you read, look at it as someone is doing an April fool's joke. And then check the information. Because a lot of things now, my team will tell me, "I'll be-- you're doing my last dream, and they'll go, "Oh, this just broke blah, blah, blah." I'm like, "Are you sure? Are you sure?" Because this said, "It's so weird. It cannot be real." And they're like, "No, it's real. It's real. It's real." And then they'll send me different sources. The last couple of years are like, the stuff that's been written about me. And you know, you can't believe anything you read. -No. -So-- And they make shit up. -No. -They just make it-- The first thing I look for is how many dashes. -Yes. -How many dashes are in the paragraph? Because if you dashed me to death, I'm like, "That ain't nobody wrote that." But I know a chat box when I see one, dashy. But the best thing that each of us can do right now is check-- do you have a voter registration? Are you registered to vote? Do you have a voter registration card? Does your voter registration card match what's on your identification? Letter for letter, initial for initial, address for address, all of it? And are you sure of your polling place? Do you need to start doing that now? And then everybody gets-- does it send it to 10 friends? -Right. -To make sure that they are doing it. Because they are not-- they're not going to try to steal this election. They're doing it already. -They're doing it already. It's not just that in November. Look at what the president did last night. He sent an executive order so that he-- the government can control mail-in ballots. And then he was at the Supreme Court today trying to intimidate the justices for the 14th Amendment, the very amendment that made us full equal citizens, black folks, and former enslaved people, full equal citizens. They want to change that. So that's where they're going to start. This administration, if you see what they're doing in the Civil Rights Division, they're trying to-- I don't want to get serious on you guys. -Now, get serious. -But they're trying to erase us, our history, and without black people, without black history, there is no American history, I'm sorry. -Correct. -Correct. -And so-- -Correct. And they're trying to-- they're trying to ban books. They don't want kids, especially little white kids, feeling guilty or feeling bad about-- -Right. -How do you think I felt in elementary school learning that I came from, you know, enslaved people? Like that-- but I need-- everybody needs to know that-- -We need to know a history of the country. -We need to know a history of the country. Speaking of the books, there's a book written by Michael Harriet, called "Black AF History," if you read it. Yeah, we got some readers in here. This book is an audio version. He's-- he happens to be hilarious. He also happens to be well-resourced and well-learned in what our history in this country is, what American history is, and what it really entails when it comes to black people in particular. It is a retelling of American history without the whitewashing, the story removing or sanitizing of the black experience, the African experience in particular. I highly recommend-- and I stop listening to the radio when I drive for work, right? -Oh, you listen to books? -I listen to books. Usually, it's like an autobiography. Like I listen to Whoopi Goldberg's autobiography recently. -She wowed. -She wowed. -I didn't meet you with her, did she? You know what she said, right? She said, "Dong, I don't mind. I have a little drive by every now and then." No, a little hit and run. A hit and run. Whoopi Goldberg says you're my little hitman? You can hit it, and then you got to go home. Well, I don't look it up. She said it to me, and I was like, "All right, Walt." [ Laughter ] The place is my mind just went. -That's what it looks good now, have you seen her? -She ain't playing. She ain't playing. Who do they just have on the show talking about you being married, but having-- was it Cheryl Underwood? -Yeah. -She was talking about-- Let's use-- I want to be in a relationship with a man who is, "All right, where am I?" Nogamous relationship, but he live in his house, and I live at mine. Whoopi said, "Yes!" [ Laughter ] "Yes, because she's talking about the hit and run." She's like, "You can hit it and run back to your place." -But I can understand that. I got married late, but I, you know, I have-- the guest room has become my room every now and then, 'cause you need a little space. -Yeah, a buffer. -Right. You need a little space, like-- I need a little space to, like, watch TV, sometimes read. You know, that's not, like, dogs or other people snoring, and it's just like, "This is mine right here." -So, do you do-- -Question? -Do you-- do you do dogs on the bed? -I do dogs on the bed, not big dogs, little dogs. -How little? -Oh, my dogs are-- -I don't know like that. -Okay. -But then I can take the towel and, uh, quick. -Right. -Yeah, and they don't shit. -Okay, all right. -And they live longer when they sleep in the bed with you, you know that. And then you do, too. -Yeah, well, you know, listen, they got beds. And see, they gotta be in your bed. -You don't do dogs, you don't do dogs on the bed. -I got dogs, they got beds. You sleep in your bed. You pay one of these bills in this house, you can sleep in this bed. -For dogs. -But unto dogs. They do-- they're real good. They eat as good as we do. I cook for them. And they run the house. They do. They also run around outside. They look like they're letting their ass get in the bed. I got special clothes for my bed. -But you knew I grew up with, like, no dogs in the house. -Samsang? -Dogs belong outside. -Yeah. -Unless it's freezing in our hot, too hot. But I'm like, "Mm-hmm." Okay, and when I want to, you know, I can't do that. -Yeah, no, I get-- I get the outside. They can come in, they got a bed. -Yeah. -Go to your bed. -Bit? I got one that goes into bed, and then when you go to sleep, he writes you on your pillow, looking like. -Yeah. He's nigga's sleep. Because he's sleep. I have one that sleeps up my head, and the pillow above my head. And snores-- now, his snoring doesn't bother me. I think it's cute. But when the person next to me snores, I'm like, "Shut up, you snore!" Meanwhile, it wasn't him at all. It's the dog on your nose. That's crazy. No, but the dog snores. I'm like, "Oh, Barkley, he's so cute." Oh. I'm not going to do this with you. Listen, it's-- like you say, I'm not going to yuckyle you. I'm at the showhouse. You live how you want to live. But when you gotta get the wipes, and then you get-- there's a hole. I'm not doing all that shit, Don. I'm not doing all that. -There's a thing-- -Yeah, there's a thing that's like a glove. You put it under the sink of the water, and it spulms up whatever you wipe them down, whatever you're like, "All right, let's go to bed." I have a dog that is 110 pounds. -Oh, I'm not doing that. -I'm not a human. Wait, do you-- do you got-- Holy, holy, I'm not doing that. Do you walk this dog? Yeah. I'm not picking up nothing as, like, human shit sign. I'm not-- I live in-- I don't know. You're, like, little pellets. -I'm like, "All right, let's go to bed." -No, it's like this. No, no, no. I'm not doing that. I don't have to pick it up. I just kick it home. It's crazy. It's crazy. It's too-- I can't imagine it in my hand. I don't even feel my dogs are so-- I do that bag, whatever, and then I go, I'm scrubbing my hands, I'm good. No, I'm-- okay, so I'm in town. I don't know big-ass dog tours like that. Sorry, they're eating. I'm sorry, y'all. Yeah, it's all fine. I'm sorry. Let's get you in home. No, okay, so I'm going to tell you something. I've not told a lot of people. My newest-- he's three years old now. And I was going through rough time in my life. And I was pulling-- Damn, it got so quiet. Now being like, I was-- Do you want to lay on the couch? No, I'm going to tell you something. No, I'm just going to tell-- I'm going to tell you-- Now, tell me about your time here. I'm going to tell you, okay, so he's a-- he's a puppy that was at a shelter. And he came to the show, right? And I saw him and I was like, oh, my god, he's so handsome. He was like, thick. Like, y'all know he's a puppy, right? They were playing-- it was like a puppy bowl for a super bowl, right? And he was just knocking the other dogs out. And I was like, who is that? They were like, he's lucky. And I was like, lucky. Lucky's not going to be his name, but lucky's coming home with me. And I laid these pictures out on the floor of celebs. And so all my dogs picked their own names. Lucky. And you think I'm weird because I let my dogs sit in the bed. Well, wait till you get a load of this. All right. So I put some faces out and the ones they land on, that's their name. Sometimes you got to try a couple times because I'm not going to like that one. But at three separate times, I mixed it up. He landed on both of these pictures. So his name-- put your phones down. His name is Michael B. Jordan Hemsworth. Michael B. Jordan, who? Hemsworth. Hemsworth. Oh, Lord. So I'm on this carpet for the Avengers and Chris comes up and he's like, hey, it's so good. Every time we talk, we have such a good vibe. Thank you for always asking the best questions. And I was like, well, it's so funny that you say we have the best vibe. I think so too. I want to share something with you. Maybe he can be on camera, maybe he can not be. But I want to share with you and he's like, all right, what is it? I was like, so I have a dog. And we just, we just see. I already know how this is going to go. I have a dog that we just adapted from the shelter. And I named him after you. And he was like, oh, you named your dog Thor? And I was like, no, Hemsworth. He was like, nigga, what? No way.
Chris, him's what looked at me like you gave your dog my family name. I was like, "Yeah, no, we not telling this story no more." Okay, you wanna play a game? Oh, gosh, yeah. Come on, let's do it. Let's do it. We're gonna play a game. This one's called "Read the Room." Oh. All right, Ricky Ricardo. Listen, I told you I was in my bad, but my bad bony phase. Oh, go ahead, bad bony. When he took my hands, we started dancing. I said, "Yers!" The next dog will be named after you. Hello. Benito is a good name for a little puppy. Okay, so this other game is gonna work. We've got some true or false questions. Okay. From situations that arise, the audience is gonna weigh in on this. So we'll answer the question first. And then, audience, you will weigh in with your wings. True is blue. Red is false. So, don't hold up your wings until I ask you for it, all right? 'Cause I'll re-wink. You'll be like, "I red, red." You said, "Is that your wing?" Yeah, the wing. So they got his wrist bands. See this? Oh, I thought you were gonna hold on some chicken wings. When you said wings. That's the next sponsor. All right. Right now, it's Red Bull. Thank you, Red Bull. Come on, grab it up for Red Bull. Shoot. Okay. You take the first one. If you're not at the gate 45 minutes before boarding, you're irresponsible. What do you think? No, no, wait, don't hold 'em up yet. Don't hold 'em up yet. What do you say? What do I think? Yeah, you said true or false. Are you irresponsible? Is this official or me? It's right now. No, I don't think you're irresponsible. So you say false? I say false. Okay. I also say false. But I know it's real. You probably should. But I must not false. 'Cause I'm in the lounge. Hello. Oh! This is me. He's drinking. I'm gonna have that. Don's like, Don living in the lounge. Like, see, you say it's a Mandarin square? Well, how do you make the Mandarin square? It's gonna come back and see. Yeah. Paging Don Lemon. We need Don Lemon at the gate. Yeah. Oh, I'm running 'cause I'm late. Oh, baby. I have missed a flight 'cause I was in the lounge. Yeah. Okay. Show me your wings. Are y'all red? Are y'all blue? Okay, it's a pretty good mix. Oh, wow. No, the red's one. Are you think the red's one? Yeah. Shall I put on my glasses? Yeah, I think the red's one. I don't know. That's pretty mix, to me. That's pretty good. Okay. I think it's a red. Okay, you call the red. I'm really calling red. Okay. Okay, here you go. If they don't post you, it ain't real. I'ma say, put 'em down. Put 'em down. Don't show me yet. Okay. If they don't post you, it's not real. Here's what I say. Well, we got some conversations heard in the back. She said, "Motherfucker, you ain't never post me." Is she here? Is she here? She said, "Motherfucker, you ain't never post me." Oh, you mean in the relationship? Yeah. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm a sinner, y'all drink. I'm so sorry. Okay, so in real life, I used to feel like that. And then I realized that some people just really prefer privacy in their relationship. And it's not a matter. Hold on. Hold on. She let it live with a spoon. No, no. Excuse me. Hold on. Let them lady speak. Okay. Okay, hold on. Hold on. I need to get the mic. No. There you go. One, one, one. One, one, one. Because you said, "Now, hair now." She didn't put a spoon down. She said, "Hair now." You didn't know? Okay, wait. Why not? Oh, yeah. See, look. Yeah, look. Look. See, now you're not getting posted. I'm not going to switch her answer. Now she's on camera. She was like, "They will post a no-how. I was here. I called off work." Oh! So you better hope they don't post you. Okay, wait. You win blue. You win blue. Tell me why you win blue. Tell me your name and where you from. Hello. Hey, everybody. This is Pat Kadidram from Brooklyn, New York. Come on. Okay. Now, you win blue. Because what is there to hide? Hello. Hello. Hello. This is a universal black girl sign for -- Hello. All right. Good. She said, "It's not high." It's not high. You said, "No. That's not high." And what is it? I feel like really late. Hold on. Let me -- [ Laughter ] It's not hiding. It's not hiding. Okay. Tell me why it's not hiding. Because you got to have some things to yourself. No, exactly. Exactly. So you don't even tell everybody everything. That's all the time. Because then once everybody knows. They all got an opinion. And then y'all going to break it up and you're arguing over some damn shit. Yeah. Sorry. Don't stop. I said, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry." But now, uh-uh. You got to keep going to secret. Yeah, because I'm going to tell you. Sometimes, I've seen Instagram break up. Otherwise, pretty happy relationship. Yes! Because then you get -- you get people in DMs talking about, "But are you happy, though?" Why? [ Cheers and applause ] I was. But then I saw you got a boat. And I'm like, "Maybe I'm not boat happy." [ Laughter ] What did you say you saw on a boat? I saw they got a boat. And all of a sudden, I'm thinking different about my relationship. All right. I'm just saying sometimes you want perks. Who won? Who won? Okay. Audience. Let me see your wings. Ooh, that's red. That's red. What does that -- what does that say? That means they like privacy over here, please. [ Cheers and applause ] Ooh, I feel like Ricky Lane. Ooh! I did. Uh-oh. What's this? You're like, "What's his name? Jerry Springer." I'll take it. You know, he was on TV for a long time. You got rich, you're right. All right, what's his name, Marty? You are not the father. Baby, do you give me a paternity test? I do it. It's okay to watch our rated movies on a plane where others can see. Okay, what do you think? No, don't hold them up yet. No, hold them up yet. What do you think? I'm sorry, baby. I'm sorry, baby. What's his name? I like Ricky. I like Ricky. What's his name? He said, "What's his name?" Oh, my God. What do you say? I said, "It's okay. I don't care." Me neither. I don't care. Okay, wait. Okay, wait. Wait, wait, wait. So I'm on a flight. I'm on a flight recently. Okay, okay, Ricky Lane is talking. Ryan Reynolds here from Mint Mobile. Or almost naked the whole movie, and I mean they were going at it, right? So at one point she stands up, and I mean, my whole movie is on, off, turned on, turned on. The next thing, and I don't even know how to pay any attention. I'm watching through the crack of the seats at her show, right? She gets up to maybe use a restroom or something like this, and I was like, "Ah, hold up!" Like you can hear me ask her to get out the way I'm trying to watch my show. And that's when I knew I had to sit down. Okay audience, what do you think? Let me see your ways. That means no. That means they agree. That means they agree it is okay. Watch what you want to watch. And if you watch what I'm watching, you watching something good. Dating someone your friend used to date requires permission. So like if you're good, "Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, okay." And let the church say something. All right, look, this young lady said, "Man, what's your name? Hold on." Uh-oh, we got some contacts. We got some contacts. Okay, so let's say your friend went on some dates with this person. Some dates. Some dates with this person. Are you asking for permission? What you saying? I'm asking permission. Three months of dates. Three months of dates is a plan. Okay. It wasn't a real plan. Okay. But either way you're going to ask for permission. Like are you good? Are you good? You said you're not asking. Who said you're not asking? Oh my god. Oh my god. Absolutely not because I'm grown. She said, "I don't need no new friends." I got enough friends. Okay, so done.
What are you, what are you saying? Now I really feel like Ricky Lake, done? (audience laughs) Tell me, Mr. Jordan Hemsworth, that's why I called you Chris Hemsworth. (laughs) Hmm, I say, my mama raised me right. And some things you just don't, are not done. And so you don't do it or you don't have it. - No, no, but if you're gonna date someone and you're friends with them and then you know they went out, I think they at least deserve the courtesy of, hey man or hey girl, I just want you to know, such and such ask me out. I don't know how things are with you guys. I don't want to mess up our friendship or whatever. - Right, but you know, and then let them talk and see what they would have to say, and then talk it out. Yeah, I mean it also depends on how good a friend you are. But before that, I would just say, don't do it. (audience cheers) Here's what I'm gonna say, I'm not taking it to Instagram and if you find out, let's talk about it. (audience laughs) I'm just saying, you don't even want 'em no more. Why you care? Now I'm telling, I'm kidding, I'm kidding, I can't. - But you don't know who girl goes with, you know, you know. - Yeah, I don't care. - You don't care. - I mean, I don't, I care about you. - If you had a friend that started dating someone that you dated that you had, you wouldn't be like, okay, well you could at least told me. (audience laughs) When you put it that way, okay, the audience put your wings up. What's your wish you think? That's a lot of blue. It's a lot of blue say, if you're gonna do it, you better say something. - What does the blue mean, they don't agree with me? - That means they do agree. They do agree with the statement, they do agree. - They agree. - We might have started something with this game. A couple of tables over there, like, what the fuck do you mean? (audience laughs) Well, what do you mean? How long have y'all been, you wouldn't go say nothing? You wait 'til we get to the house, get fly, the safe thump? (audience laughs) I'm so sorry, I really am gonna sing John Drake. I apologize. - Give it up and down, Lin-Anne, y'all! (audience cheers and applauds) - Like, can I have a cruise drive? (audience cheers and applauds) You got ketchup? - And ranch. - 'Cause you put salt on these. - What is up, neighbors? Okay, so I want to take this time to say thank you for all of your support, your likes, your comments, your shares. This has been an incredible ride with y'all, and I love that y'all rock with it so tough. I also wanted to take this time to ask you to check and make sure that you are subscribed to the show. We've got over 200,000 neighbors that are a part of this thing and the energy is real, and I want you to be a part of it. It also makes sure that we are able to do all that we have planned for house guests to bring it to you. So come on, be a part of that. You don't wanna miss it? Okay, now back to the episode. (audience cheers and applauds) (upbeat music) So thank y'all again for rocking with us. This is again the first night of this tour. I have never had an experience like this. Y'all made me feel like I am somebody. I'm having. (audience cheers and applauds) (audience cheers and applauds) Y'all almost got me. (audience laughs) Y'all almost got me. I can't even look my sister-in-law sitting in front and she pregnant I, she tried to pop up and she was like, "Hey, brother." (audience laughs) I was like, "What is this?" Uh-oh. (audience cheers and applauds) Who is that? I was about to get to my monologue. Wait, I know who that is. That is someone who has been on herself. She has turned rejection into perfection. She turned a missed opportunity, the not right opportunity into the perfect opportunity. She is a award-winning New York Times number one best-selling producer, newswoman, journalist, and talk show host. Give it up for Tamrin Ha! (audience cheers and applauds) (audience cheers and applauds) Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Come on, dude, you look so good. (audience cheers and applauds) What do you want to be like? (audience laughs) Come on, Tamrin! Tamrin! (audience cheers and applauds) What is it? Okay. It's so good to see you. It's so good to be, ooh. I know, that's why. Come on, sit in some art. Come on, boost your eyes. Come on. (audience cheers and applauds) Listen. This is Tamrin after dark. Listen. Apparently, this is what happens after 6 p.m. I ain't mad. Cinderella. Hey, you look good. You look fantastic. Thank you. Are you losing your mind a little bit? Season eight. Renewal of the Tamrin Show. (audience cheers and applauds) Season eight. I remember when people were like, "Is there gonna be a season one?" And you said, "Watch, watch this." What would it, or should I say? "Watch this." (audience laughs) You know, I'm losing my mind in the greatest way because, first of all, not because of me, we actually knew in November that we were renewed, but I wanted to figure out the why. I'm out of my mind because you have packed out this house. (audience cheers and applauds) No. I seriously, I am blown away. I pulled up and I was, I lived, well, I lived on a street, I'm not going to tell you what street. (audience laughs) I lived that far away and I saw people starting to line up. And I was like, you did, look at this. (audience cheers and applauds) And it's a good looking, it's not like that busted audience. You got to do it a little bit sometimes. No, we find it here, we find it. I'm gonna tell you a little secret. Some shows have to pay people to be in the audience. Not a lot, they pay. (laughs) It's not a big deal. Yo, I'll box your outfits, I get to tell. This is the real pearl. I am so proud of you. (audience cheers and applauds) When I say thank you to you, it doesn't seem big enough. Oh, it's plenty. Because you were the first show to recognize house guests and like, you're on to something. No, we were the first show to co-tell, because I knew you had an audience. I was like, I'm gonna get some of his people on. (laughs) I'm like, you did us a favor. I'm like the 25 to 55 demo matter. It's got half the number. No, so I told you this and I don't remember when. It was some event in LA and we were there and I saw you. I had just seen you on Access Hollywood. Like ever, you turn on a TV and you see someone and I turned on and I saw you and I was like, oh, he's different. He's different. And then I ran into you backstage somewhere. Oh, it was when I won my first in-me. That day. (laughs and applause) And I was so geek to see you because, you know, I have the great fortune. I'm 55 now. Let's go. I've been in TV for a lot of years and you meet a lot of people and I was just like, he's got this thing and it's true. And so I am not surprised that you have this. I'm not. Well, I appreciate it. And while I am still working on- Can I have my drink? Yeah, girl, come on. Come on. I hate to say, hold on, I gotta look at you. I don't know what to do. Okay, I'm got a babysitter. (laughs) He said, mama's out to the guy. Three blocks away. You can go get it. I know. (laughs) (laughs) But- I'm gonna regret that is this recorded. Yeah. Yeah, girl, we lost this room right now. My whole career. He's a seven and a half. I mean, we were right there at the end of the day. I'm good at it. But season eight, I mean, we all see the headlines where it's another show canceled, another show canceled. Our whole division canceled. Yeah. When you get the news that you're not only renewed, but we're doubling down on the tan fan. We're doubling down on the tan fan haul show. What does that feel like? You know, it's gratitude, right? It's gratitude. It is at the end of the day. My team, so Johnny right, my hair stylist is here, Mim's for, my clothing stylist, my assistant Tyler Bell,
here are team but at the end of the day you know you are where God means for you to be, so how are you supposed to be surprised? And I ask God for this right so you say God this is what I want I want the right relationship I want the right situation and then it happens you're not supposed to be like what God what you did that you know instead you are thank you God you did that. That's what I mean. I said thank you God. I always knew God. God I knew you was gonna pull it through. Yes. Like when you go to the ATM you can't be surprised the money came out. She is. Tell me you've been making money for a long time. I just got there. Why was that day 10 to the day 10 after the day 10 you know the wasn't it's not the bank ATM it's like what do you want to withdraw a transfer or what is it a balance read. I was like balance read. I was like wait I got to pay for the balance read. What did the thing came up and I was like that ain't that ain't my money. That's that's more money. You're like this card is not my. I said yeah. You may have not be surprised but you might be surprised by their mouth but you hope and there's something comes in. It's help but I mean for me I am grateful I have I have gratitude but truly I encourage people you can't be surprised when good things happen when you prepare for this. You are made for this. You're built for this. My grandfather was born in 1901. He could not read. I make my living with words that he couldn't read on a page and so for me I'm not surprised but I will always be grateful. When I get up in the morning my alarm goes off my alarm happens to be Steve you want to don't you worry about a thing. My son wakes up for six years he is woken up to that song and I do because I want to wake up not worried about a thing because I truly believe there's something you can control some things you can but at the end of the day I'm blessed to wake up and breathe to fight for that day and that is something that I think about. So, hey Siri, sit, new alarm. At 10.30 am. It's my house. 10.30 I want to hear. Don't you worry? No, I want to hear. When I die buried me inside the room. I'm not surprised by you nor should you be surprised by God and I just the other way. I'm not selling any religious books yet but this book that you are working on now is it true? Bet on yourself. Now is it true that I saw red I heard that you are two of my favorite F's involved faith and fierceness. Yeah but did you see the book actually opens with I was on I'm giving y'all the scoop on the book. My team is like Sean. No, the very first page of the book opens with the text message that I received. I'd left the today show studio. I was walking over to MSNDC and a text message came from my then agent then agent and then he said you know they are making a big change and you're no longer in. Here's what they're offering and he proceeded to bullet point and detects all these things that they were offering to keep me and I was walking on air to be live. I think it was 11 o'clock hours hosting. I go I sit in the chair and I'm almost like blacking out right because your whole life is flashing before you. I remember I got a text my mama that was the first person I said right right right. I text my mom and I said it's done and I wrote my agent back and I said I'll pass and it was two million dollars a year. Pass. I passed because. Hold up. I don't mean no harm. Hold up Tamron. Hold up. Hold up. Hold up. Hold up. Hold up. Cut the tape. Cut the tape. Cut the tape. Cut the tape. Off the fucking record. Off the record. I never have revealed that it is in the book. Two million dollars a year. A year? And you said pass. Let me tell you about that. Look at all money. It's not good money. Let me tell you about the kind of thing. It's not. And in self assuredness you have to have. Well I it wasn't no. Because I do some change for piece of change. I'm going to tell you I mean I listen I'm happy I've lived in New York. I've lived in Philly. I've lived in Chicago and my mother is a fierce mom. Yeah. And soon after she said I'm so my mother is always proud. But she said to me I am so proud of you because do you know how many times we've had to get off the sidewalk for someone else to walk. And I said I thought about all the other young black women in journalism and I said if they see me lose they may think they can't win. And that day's why I turned it down and I'm not trying to sound like I was a sacrifice or anything. Now but you understood your position on one of the top. And I understood. Morning shows in the world. And I understood that that did not define me. Yes. Because you can have a business card. There's a book called Path of Life. I've had it since I was 18 years old. It's not even a publication anymore. My friend's mom gave it to me. Many years ago I was 18 and it wasn't at all. It was in my 40s that I understood because I worked since I was 14. I worked as Sears and Robot in the men's department. And imagine being 16 in that department. And then I worked in the plush section at Toys Arrest where I lied about my age where I sold the stuffed animals and worked my way up to cashier. I worked at a jewelry store in Philly called Magnum. Our logo was a gun. True story. Come in here if you won't do it. They're like what does if you walk. Yeah. Yeah. I had to clap at your hands. I have worked in my entire life. I've never lost a job. First job I'd ever lost. And truly I was like okay you can allow someone to suffocate your fire or you can find a way to bring your flame. And I that book says in it. I thought we were talking. And the book says something that I hold on to and I would advise anybody to do this exercise. Who are you if there's no title beneath your name? And that is I interviewed a man today who lost his child. He is no longer a father. Father had been his title. Every day we live behind a title. Who are you if there is nothing beneath your name? You have to know that. Go that. Yeah. I'm me. I am me. And so I decided that day. I'm not tampering at this network. I'm not tampering at the 10 p.m. hour. And I don't know how I did it. I don't think of myself as particularly courageous. I can fight but I'm not courageous. Johnny will attack. I got him. I am the friend you call it. Three. I already know. His core is out here. I'm like hold on honey. Get the baby. I'm on my way. Let me tell you something. Let me tell you something that I knew about you. That. You know, you know, I knew the haircut. Yeah. Yeah. And the way you took behind one ear, you know. And I don't confidently say anything. I can fight. Yeah. With a name like Tamarind. Yeah. You got to be able to fight. You got to be good. I because I was a whole new man. Not surely. My name not surely. And they used to be like tomorrow, a hall, tamarind, tampon. What? What? Not what you say? Not but what you say to. But what you say to. I was as curious. Not just what? I'm like, wait. That's not my name. And I'm from Texas. So I know, I'm confident in certain things. But no, it is truly an exercise of who are you with either or title because titles become seductive. They become identity. Right. We've all met people who instantly ask you, what do you do for? What do you do for? You meet somebody, your girlfriends, or your your guy friends say, well, what does she do for a living? What does he do for a living? Not who is he? Where is he from? What is he like? Does he read? Everyone goes for the title. Then after the title, they ask you. And then the title, here's the other thing is, then they say, where do you live? Home. And then, yeah. And that becomes an assessment of who you are. Where do you live? And then you say, I live here. And then they go, what's street? First of all, it's been a stalker. It's very, it's very, it's very, it's very, we just did a show today. I take the show today on the meaning of life. And it said, you know, what it, what does this mean? I sometimes wake up. I'm like, are we in the matrix red pill blue pill? What am I supposed to say? And that conversation because it's, you know, it says, okay, if you get to this dollar figure, that's it. Or if you get this right relationship, that's it. What is the, what are you willing to die for right now? Yeah. I was reading this. It's interesting that you bring that up about like, what is the meaning of your life? What are you living for? I read this book and I share it often, but I like to share it as often as possible because I feel like if one person takes it and reads this book, it changes a little bit more of a circle that changes a little bit.
more of a circle. It's called The Desire Map by Danielle Laporte, where she talks about flipping the idea. Especially in America, we have this idea of like, I'm going to have this job, I'm going to have this house, I'm going to have this partner, I'm going to have this family, and then I'll feel secure, I'll feel important, I'll feel safe and smart. I think I made it. Right. And then we get those things and those feelings don't come. And in fact, the opposite, the hurt, the disappointment, and they're like, what happened? How many times have you looked in your closet? I've got nothing to wear. You have a bunch of things to wear. Okay, first of all, but Tammy, that's not what we're talking about. Because, because Tammy sometimes I don't have nothing to wear. Nothing I want to wear right now. I want to wear a sweater in New York, and I'm going for it. What was I thinking? I was in LA and I was like, yeah, it's snow. It'd be snowing there. It'd be snowing so I know it's cold. I said to Scott, I don't know. She don't have no top on. I said, I don't know. What I mean by how you have no sleeves. I said, I don't sleep. But people who are just listening to this, and now there's no video, Tammy does have on clothes. I have a busier. It's like a busier. But I said to Scott when he came in the sweater. I said, you live in LA, you don't eat that sweater. You look at your life, and you say, oh gosh, you go to a restaurant, you and your friends go, and then the bill comes and you're like, I just paid how much for this experience. And you didn't even really talk to the people at the table. You didn't connect. People ask me all the time, what's my favorite place? My favorite place is dinner at my house. Johnny will tell you, Johnny cooks the same chicken all the time he comes. And then we get wine. We talk. I can be loud. I can drink as much as I want. Cheers. And I have a good time. And that's why I love your show and the concept of house guests. Because for me, you know, I'm out here and I put on my authentic self as an outgoing person, but my true authentic self, my friends tell me, I am super shy. I've had seven drinks before I came out here. I struggle with eye contact. I have a very low tolerance for big, big rooms because I am a really, my friends call me a social introvert. I know how to turn it on. A performative introvert. But it's still authentic. I walk out to my show. Like what you need to do, you can sum it. But it taxes you. It taxes me in a wonderful way that life is supposed to. And I'm blessed to be this person. But truly, I am, the rim of my ears right now feel like it's 9,000 degrees. Yeah. It's hot. It's hot. Like my body. Yeah. It's like that sweater. I can start playing like tank was doing the turtleneck. That sweater. That sweater. No, you got the versus me. The best part was they didn't. Tyrese was like, yeah, I'm even on it. He was like, yeah, I was like, no, he was hot. He was hot. Because I'm hot right now. I know he was hot. It's not random, my mind goes, we went to a spiritual guide and support. We just talked about Tyrese. That turtleneck. That turtleneck. Okay, so, so, so, the, the, the good. I'm seven. I'm seven. I'm seven. Wait, so tell me that the, because I think that there's something really cool. Empowering about seeing an opportunity that for a lot of people could look like a great opportunity. Yeah. But that was out of alignment with what you knew you were worth. What you had put in to receive. And decided I would rather leave this situation altogether and bet on myself. But that bet on myself wasn't easier. No, it's not easier, but you can sleep it not. You know what I mean? I think it is important to be able to look in the mirror and like the person that you see. And that's not always easy. So, one of the exercises I do, I go to the mirror. I will strip off all of my makeup and I look straight in the mirror and I look for my seven-year-old self. Really? I don't know. Was this like a therapy exercise? How did you find this? I don't know. I just, I mean, I think when I look at pictures of myself, you know, my mom with the time was a single mom. You know, it's just the two of us. My brother wasn't born yet. My mom had not married. My stepfather, who I say was the dad godment for me to have. I would be very transparent. I, you know, that's a complicated situation before him. But after him, I got the dad that I think God meant for us. I know that God meant for us how. So, it was a very vulnerable state of mine. If it's the loneliest, I probably felt as a kid trying to figure it out. Watching my mom, my mom was 19 when she had me as a single mom from a small town. She had a grim one. They don't even make this card more. We had a beat-up grim one that she had rammed by accident, not paying attention with me or the crowd, but girl. And she was my best friend, you know, one of my first memories. We lived in Texas, so we didn't have a driveway. We had the car port. Yeah. And she stood on one side and I stood on this. She taught me to play volleyball. And I'm playing volleyball and people making fun of me because my best friend was my mom. Right. And so that was this very impressionable age for me. So I search for her because she stood up for herself at some point. Wow. She had no backup plan. She was her backup plan. And so I look in that mirror and whatever age and I encourage you, whether it was 16, whatever it was, that there's a critical age where it is, it's your, it's yourself. And it's imperative to get back to that. And it's imperative. And so I look for her. And so that moment, I don't tell that story as if it was, so I didn't listen. I did not have two million dollars in the bank. So my father had passed away. I'm, my mother is an independent woman, but my mother, I'm want to help my mom, my brother and his wife, they had kids. So it wasn't like I had a ton of money. I should have, because I'd been in the midst of 30 years, but women are disproportionately played in any industry, including mine. Absolutely. And so I won't lie to you and say that I wasn't looking at the Chase Bank account going, they got it wrong. I know I have more than one. But I was, I never step foot in a sleeve. I was like, I'm like reselling at my house, Cameron's, Wu-T. But no, but I, I don't know where it came from. I remember it was a Tuesday. I went to the bathroom. I prayed. And I came out of that bathroom at my home in Tribeca. And I said, it was a small apartment. But it was still in Tribeca. I was like, I'm going to be leaving this Tribeca apartment because I don't have a job. But I came out and I was confident that whatever version was going to be, it was when I was going to be able to live with myself. What did you look in that mirror and say, that seven-year-old, that seven-year-old? You want another shirt? I want another shoe. Get him. Hail. Yeah, I did. I did. I did. I did. Right. I want to kick something. I need you. Get up. Get up. Get up. I was like, get up. Get up. I did. I don't know if you'll notice. But to get real honest, they already told me to move on three-fold five times. It's all right. It's my show. And y'all cool to stick around, all right? Okay. City Winery got to deal with us. Shout out, Grace. Right. Thank you, City Winery Y'all. I got to rank you the sun glasses. She hears all of it. But this is an all-seance. Yeah. There is an element of this show that I had we put together for everyone here. But the way that this show has come together, I know there's also for me. It is. Get them. Yeah. Like, we were two weeks from this very date and the announcement that Axis Hollywood and not just our show, but the entire syndication department, the whole division of the network was done. And we were faced with a scenario of like, when you have a contract with the show, with the network, overall, first look, all that. There's a certain kind of money that comes through that allows us to do a lot more of this and not have to necessarily worry about what partner we're going to have if we're going to have a partner because we can pay for it. Nigger. When I'm keeping it up. When y'all saw me, they had me break down in tears right there when I saw me. That was not it. That's not like some drama dramatization fake. That's some real to bet on yourself, to know and trust and believe that the foot, the step that you are walking on, though you can't see the ground under it is going to rise to meet you. Not being foolish, but being faithful is one of the best feelings. It is. It is liberating. And y'all have helped me understand more about that, more clearly. And so to have you, this was not the way the show was supposed to go. Real talk. There was a whole different plan for the show when it was up
Up to us, when we had a surrender, our plan to what was supposed to happen all the time, this thing became way, way bigger. It's supposed to be. No. I will tell you, I will be very honest, I was in LA for the Oscars and the news broke and my team was with me and they said that the show would no longer be on and here's what I'll tell you, there was not a single moment and they'll tell me, I'm trying to say, he's fine. And I truly believe that when I decided and the news was revealed that I would no longer be the today show, the first time I was the first black woman in the 62 years of that show to ever been on that show. And I was like, okay, well I can look at that whatever, but there were people who called me and they go, and I was like, who died, somebody died, I was like, who did the body? And then there were people who called me and they were like, oh, I can't wait to see what you're like. So I encourage you, whether it's a relationship, whatever this point is in your life, when you hit that bump and the bump is always there, you don't have to look for it is there, take the call from the people who say, oh, I can't wait to see you. Don't take the people who are, God bless them, not only they don't love you, but you don't need that energy, you want the people who are going to say, I can't wait to what you want to do. I can't wait to see what you have next. And that is so important, if you are in a relationship, relationship is in, you don't want the friend like me who wants to go and bust their windows out, no, don't take my call. You want the friend. Once you get the next one, we're going to go bust his windows out, I'm sure it is right now. I got sprint minutes. I got any time minutes. I could take more than one phone call. Because it keeps your energy and your focus, I'm going to tell you, and this is the truth, you cannot fly if you are thinking about the dirt on your wings. And I believe it, and that's why people ask me, was I mad, I was mad for about five minutes, I would tell you if I were longer. I wasn't mad, I was pissed out, y'all were mad enough for me, I got anything. And the people who love you will be mad for you, but truly whatever ends, if you are focused on that end, you can't begin. And I truly believe that, and so when that news broke, my heart to you, and I tell you, and I would tell you if I was worried, and I would have called you if I was worried, there was not one minute of me that did not believe that that person I met many years ago and that I saw on TV wouldn't have this. That's no bullshit. That is no bullshit. That is no bullshit. I love you so much. I love you. You're a fun joy. You are, I told you on my show, you are the future, I'm ready to retire. You are the future, you are the game changer. You are the game changer. For sure. For sure. You're the game changer. Okay. Okay. Okay. You can't wear a Boostie A, but you are game changer. See you. I thought it was my outfit. I won't look as good as you. One of these is good as you. - Okay, we'll speak in a game, Jane. - Okay, oh God, the game. - You ready to play a game? - You got a game? - Yes, but-- - Please God, no, I don't like playing this. It's not like the Lou. - Well, we've got to see her in a bit. - Is it a competition? - It's a competition. - Fuck. - This-- (audience laughing) - Yes! - Okay, and rightfully so, this game is called, "Turtables." - Okay. (upbeat music) - Okay. - See? I told you, I was in-- - Here's the cutest. - I was with my bad bunny bag. - Yo. - Okay. - We got-- - We got people up there. - You're in the balcony. - I'm crazy! People in the bag standing up. - You're like Michael Jackson. He was like, "Hi, I'm the balcony!" (audience laughing) - Do you know how major I'm stalling for the game? Do you know how major? (audience laughing) - She's clearly getting ready. - Right now, okay, here I go, okay. - Okay, so we've got some prompts for here. We're gonna answer. "Your team red, I'm team blue." Okay? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. "Your team red, I'm team blue." So we're gonna answer these questions. The audience, you got to wait till we ask for the wings. - Oh gosh. - And then you're gonna vote on who you are with. Are you team red? Are you team blue? - No, they're gonna be with you, it's just your party. - No! Then you gotta come with some good answers. So, but we're gonna pick tables randomly through the bucket. - I got it. - You ready? - I'm ready.
