Speaker 1We have been teaching on the subject, Sink or Sink. You're either sinking with the Holy Spirit, in alignment with the Holy Spirit, or you are sinking and drowning with the world. And we've had two installments in the teaching, and now we are on the third installment. All right, let's get into it very quickly. So much to cover today, so we'll have to move as fast as we can, so that we can cover enough grounds. We had a phenomenal time in Ikeja this morning. And as it is with the Lord, it's from glory to glory, from grace to grace, from faith to faith. Proverbs chapter 19. Let's start from there. Proverbs 1.9. Proverbs chapter 1.9. And verse 2. We'll read it from the King James, and then we'll look at it in the Passion Translation. Proverbs 19 verse 2. It says, It is also that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good. Also that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good. It says, And he that hasteth with his feet sinneth. The foolishness of man perverted his way, and his heart fretted against the Lord. Let's read it from the Passion Translation. Proverbs chapter 19. And verse 2. From the Passion Translation. It says, It is the best ways to live with revelation knowledge. The best way to live. Do we have the scriptures? Do we have Passion Translation? Gentlemen on media? Do we have it? All right. The best way to live is with revelation knowledge, for without it, you will grow impatient and run right into error. It says, The best way to live is with revelation knowledge, for without it, you will grow impatient and you will run right into error. Verse 3. It says, It says, It says, He says there are some people who ruin their own lives and then blame it all on God. When we get to heaven, there are two people that will have audience with many people. God and Satan. Because many of the things that people attribute to Satan, he has no knowledge of it. And many of the things that people attribute to God, chances are that he wasn't even involved in it. He says this. He says, People ruin their own lives by sin. By stupidity. That's Message Translation. People ruin their own lives by stupidity. So why does God always get blamed? So when something happens, people say, Oh, it's God that did it. Or, you know, it's the work of the enemy and all the rest. And what I've realized in studying the scriptures and following the Lord is that we have a major part to play in the outcome of our lives. Everyone has a major part to play in the outcome of our lives. In fact, I've said it before and I say it again. That 90% of our prayer points will be, we won't have to pray them if we simply aligned ourselves with the Spirit of God. 90% of our prayer points. Listen to me. If people align themselves with the guidance and the leadership of the Holy Spirit, the church in Nigeria will lose at least 90% of the things we pray about. That's the sincere truth. At least 90% of the things that we make petitions about and that we pray about will be absolutely unnecessary. And so it is important to learn how to be led by God's Spirit. It is important to know how he leads. It's important to know that you can be led. And like I said last Sunday, you are being led. Whether you're aware of it or not, you are being led. Now, last week we got as far as saying that, God leads us through the scriptures, you remember? And if we were to categorize that, he leads us generally through the scriptures, which means on a general level, God's word would show us the will of God, the counsel of God, the mind of God concerning our lives. And then every now and then, he leads us prophetically through the scriptures when God quickens a word in your heart concerning your life. But then you will agree with me that after a while, you will need specific guidance. Am I right? Specific guidance. Where do I live? Where do I walk? Whom shall I marry? All of those things. You're going to need specific guidance. Now, David said, But then you know that you can get outside there and you can see everything, but you don't know whether you have to turn right or left. Even though you have, I mean, everywhere is bright enough for you to see everything. So at some point, you are going to need what is called a guide. So the first level there is through the scriptures where God lights our part. But then the second level is that God brings specific guidance into our lives through the Holy Spirit. He can tell you what stocks to buy. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. He can tell you what to invest in. He can tell you what land to buy and what land not to buy. You see, many times people think that the Holy Spirit is restraining. He's restricted to just the spiritual aspect of life. And what they don't realize is that there is no spiritual aspect of life. Life is spiritual. That everything is simply a compartment of that spiritual life. So your business is a compartment of that spiritual life. Your finances is a compartment of that spiritual life. The decisions that you're making on a daily basis is a compartment of that spiritual life. And that the Holy Spirit is spiritual, but his effects are supernatural. You've heard me say that over and over again. And what I mean by that is that the Holy Spirit is spiritual, but the effects are effects that have quantifiable, tangible results in your life. It is when the spirit be poured out from an eye, it says then the wilderness will become what? A fruitful field. Now, we read it spiritually, but to the people that he wrote it, wilderness was wilderness. Fruitful field was fruitful field. Forest was what? Forest. And so the Holy Spirit is given to us of God to guide us through life. All right. God has designed that we will receive specific guidance as individuals, as believers through the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Look at John chapter 16. John the 16th chapter. And you see what Jesus said about these ministry of the Holy Spirit. It says, but now I go my way to him that sent me. And none of you has kept me. Whither goest thou? So now he's saying to them that my time with you is up. He says, and I'm going my way to him that sent me. He said, but because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart. He says, nevertheless, I tell you the truth. What did he say next? It is expedient, advantageous, profitable for you that I go away. Now, if you were amongst the disciples, then you know that this statement is pretty much an irony. Peter's life was completely ordinary before Jesus came. Matthew was a tax collector. And then. You know that he wasn't a righteous tax collector. He was collecting and all the rest. And then you have normal lives being lived. And then Jesus comes into your life. I mean, one day Jesus tells you, take bread, take fish. And right before your own eyes, you are the one. Not that Jesus is the one. You are the one breaking bread. And the bread is multiplying before your eyes. Do you really think that he won't get back home to speak with his wife? To say, listen, things are happening. One time Jesus said to them, he said, all of you go out. I give unto you my authority and all the rest. By the time they came back, they said the dead was raised. The lepers were cleansed. They saw powerful and miraculous things. If they ran into trouble, they had a Jesus with an address that they could go and meet. Do you understand what I'm saying? Which means if they had any problem or any trouble, they just simply went to number four, Petra place. They knew that Jesus was always on call. So they just go there. Jesus, the FIRS is about to carry us. We have not paid tax. I hope you know that's what happened there. They're about to shut down everything. And Jesus said, fear not. He says, go to the river, the stream. The first fish that you catch, open the mouth. There's coin there. So you can imagine the confidence they had. One time the ship was about capsizing. And they just said, Jesus is inside the boat. Said, Jesus, care us not that we perish. And he said, oh, thou little faithless generation. Do you realize that there was never a time Jesus upbraided them about being of little faith and faithless generation that they replied him? Which means they were just saying, we don't need faith. You are here. What's the essence of me using my faith? As long as you are here, if something dies, we can call you, you raise it. If we're about to drown, you keep us. So there was absolutely no sense of fear, no adversity, no affliction that will, I mean, face them. Why? Because Jesus was present. Now he looks at them and then he says, he says that I leave you and I go away. And it is more advantageous, profitable unto you that I send unto you the comforter. and then he says something he says he shall be with you shall live inside you Now, Jesus was the comforter that was with them. But he's saying that the dispensation of the church is an inside-out dispensation. We are not going to outsource our guidance and our leadership or anything to anything on the external. Everything that we need is where? On the inside of us. Are you following what I'm saying here? If you follow on here, if you look at verse 12 of that same John chapter 16, verse 12. And please note, there's a lot that we have to cover today. And I don't want it to spill into next week. And so you'd follow me here and you'll bear with me. It's a lot, but it will bless you. It says, I have yet many things to say unto you. This is Jesus speaking. I have yet many things to say unto you, but you cannot bear them now. It said, how be it when he, the spirit of truth is come. It says, he will guide you. And that's the first thing I want you to note. Underline the word guide. Guide. Say with me, guide. I want you to observe the first thing that he uses to qualify the ministry of the Holy Spirit. He said, he will guide you. All right. Number two, look at what he says. He says, for he shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he what? Speak. So say with me, guide. Number two, say speak. Come on. Number one, say with me, guide. Number two, what? Speak. Showing you clearly the ministry of the Holy Spirit. He will guide you into all truth. He shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak. Speak. And look at the next thing he says there. And he will show you things to come. Say with me, show. So what's the number one? When he talks about the ministry of the Holy Spirit, what's the first thing there? Minister Judike, welcome. It's good to see you again in a short while. All right. Number one is, if you want to clap, clap now. Glory to God. Number one is what? Guide. Number two is what? Speak. And then number three is what? Show. Come on, say it with me again. Number one is to what? Guide. Number two is to what? Speak. And then number three is to what? Show. Which means when the Holy Spirit comes into the heart of a believer, this is the primary ministry of the Holy Ghost in our lives. 90% of what he does is within this, to guide, to speak, and to show. Which means if you are not being guided, if you are not hearing something, if you are not seeing something, then you are missing out on really why the Holy Spirit has come. Is somebody getting what I'm saying here? It's nice to fall under the power. It's nice to laugh in the Spirit. It's nice to have those experiences and all of the rest. But I always say to you that the primary assignment of the Holy Spirit in your life is to bring you revelation. That's the primary assignment. The primary assignment of the Holy Spirit is to bring you light, guidance, and counsel with precision. Did you hear what I said? Precision. Which means you are not thinking, I mean, should it be this one? Should it not be that one? I'm not sure which one will work and which one will not work. And you know, a lot of believers, whether we like it or not, we have actually become comfortable with just living life with probability and assumptions. I'm hoping that this one works out. This journey I'm going on, going, this Canada I'm going, I'm really hoping that it pans out and all the rest. You see, there's nobody in the Old Testament. There's nobody in the Old Testament that lived with probability. Nobody. They may not be able to tell you what's going to happen next, but they knew what they had heard. Abraham may not tell. Listen, you ask Abraham, where are you going to? I don't know. It's the most stupid thing that can happen under heaven. An adult, seven something years of age, leave thy father's house, leave thy kindred. And then he says, you can go, I mean, to a land that I will show you. And like I always ask you, what is the land called a land I will show you? Is there any country under heaven by that name, a land I will show you? I mean, you can imagine the man lives. And then you are asking him. It's like when he took Isaac to go sacrifice Isaac and asking, asking him, we can see the wood, we can see the fire. Where is the sacrifice? And he says, the Lord shall provide himself the sacrifice. Do you know that he didn't stand back to say, am I sure I had God? There is, I mean, imagine a man who says that he had God and it's time to start building an ark. Do you know the foolishness? I mean, do you know? Do you know what it is like to put it in context? I've said this over and over again, that it had never rained on the face of the earth. As at the time God asked Noah to build an ark. No man had a conception of what rain was. If you walk to a man and said to him, God asked me to build an ark. First, you're already sounding very foolish. Then you say, the reason I'm building an ark is that it will rain. What is rain? From where to where? But the man keeps building and there were mokas everywhere. He kept building. And you know, many times we think he built in one year. It was decades. He built for decades and people mocked him for decades. He knew that he had something from God that could not be shaken from him. How much more the believer today. Listen, you have to make up your mind that I refuse to live my life with assumptions. You know, because what happens to a lot of people is that they live their life with assumption and then they try to fill up the gap of assumption with petition. So they say, I don't know. They say, God, please make it work. You don't have to bless what comes from God. It comes blessed. You don't have to bless it. You don't have to ask God to make it work. If it is God, it works. Is somebody getting what I'm saying? So where did we, how did we come to the point in our lives where there's no guarantee, no assurance, no confidence anymore. You are doing things and your prayer life is entirely just God. I'm hoping that this thing works out. Let me say this to you. And I'm announcing. I'm announcing to somebody here. You can take steps with the confidence that God is behind you. Do you understand what I'm saying here? You will. Peter J. Daniels, a businessman in Australia. Go and read his story. He's the only guy that has a coin to his name. I mean that they allow him create a coin as not in this day of digital coin and address a legal tender to his name in Australia. Peter J. Daniels. And how did everything start? He said one time he, I mean, you can have mashy land. I mean like mashy land. All the rest. And he said one day he was spraying and he kept seeing the mashy land and he said, God, no body will ever invest in this place. The Holy Spirit says, stand up now, clear everything you have gone bites. Cut long story short. Obviously it has become, I think one of the first three richest areas in the entire Australia today. And let me tell you something. No matter how wealthy you are, no matter how connected you are, no matter how sincere you are, first move us. Advantage. Advantage cannot listen is the most powerful thing. And that's why we have insight. Listen, we do inside that trading is only, you will go to jail for doing inside that trading here. But let me tell you this with the Holy Spirit. We do inside that life, inside that training. The inside dies on the inside of us. You didn't hear what I said. So all this, I might try to walk. I might not try to walk. It is completely alien to what Christ brought to us. Alien. So me alien. Imagine that Jesus was going. He went to the cross. He said, am I sure I should die? And as he was on the cross, God, I'm really hoping this year. Hey, I'm really hoping it's you. That's the real God. I beg you pray. So me precision. So me accuracy. Say this. I live my life with the confidence of precision and the confidence of accuracy. So number one, he will what guide number two, he will what speak number three. He will what show. He didn't say he will make you fall down. He didn't say he will give you goosebumps. All of these things are to create the platform for this, his ministry, because some people have to be slain before they will hear anything. So he will guide. He will speak. He will show. So that's his ministry. If you're not having these three things happening on a consistent basis in your life, then you are not partaking of that which the Holy Spirit has brought to us. Do you remember that Jesus guided the disciples while he was on it? He was the comforter. That's why he says, I lost Paracletus, another comforter, exactly like me. He guided them. Do you agree with me that he spoke to them? They had things that other people were not hearing. One time they needed a donkey. He said, listen, go this way. There is a donkey tied and a donkey. There is a donkey with his cow tied there. He says, tell the owner of the place that the master has need of it. He spoke to them at every point in time there was a need. It was met, I mean, with precision and accuracy. Did he show them things to come? Yes. He said, these are the things that will happen in the days to come. If Jesus did it with the disciples, how much more the Holy Ghost on the inside of us now? I refuse to live life with probability. I refuse it. I refuse it. I refuse it. I refuse it. You have. Listen. You have to get. You have to get tired. You have to get tired of that kind of a life. We have the Holy Spirit. Say with me, we have the Holy Spirit. Now look at first Corinthians chapter two, verse 11. Let's begin to see what exactly he will guide us into. What exactly he will show us. What exactly he will speak to us. When he says that he will guide us, he will lead us. He will show us what exactly are we talking about? 1 Corinthians chapter 2 verse 11. well let's back up to verse 9 verse 9 to give you context first corinthians 2 verse 9 are we still together this morning it says but as it is written the human eye had not seen nor the physical ear heard neither has it entered into the heart of any man let's read together what he says the things which god had prepared for them that love him so say with me there are things prepared for me very important he says the things which god had prepared for them that love him there are things he has prepared for you listen their organizations he has prepared for you are you following what i'm saying here there are houses that he has prepared for you there are places that he has prepared for you i was sharing was it i don't remember where was it well somewhere i was sharing somewhere because everything's just always joining together now but i was sharing somewhere and i said to them i said it is not in the plan of god for you to take care of yourself no no it is not in the plan and the agenda of god for you to take care of yourself no a million times no no in fact the the example we see in the book of genesis is that god planted the garden it was not adam that planted it god planted the garden and he said everything here for you is food who planted his food god what was his job till and tend what he had planted was it adam that was looking for where eden was and god took adam and planted him placed him in the garden who placed him there is somebody following what i'm saying it wasn't adam that was looking for greener pastures god planted his pastures and took him there let me say something to you listen you will find out that a lot of the things that god planted for you is food for you that we are bothered about we would act there would not be prayer points i'm telling you the truth there will not be prayer points if you truly understand the leadership and the guidance of the holy spirit in fact some of the things you are praying about is the holy ghost that brought you there i'll show you in a bit that the holy ghost will bring you to the hevites and the hittites and you can't play them away and if you don't understand what the holy ghost is doing you'll be praying a you'll be praying the will of god and you'll be praying the will of god and you'll be praying the will of god are we still here today look at what it says verse 9 we're still reading there it says those things which god has prepared for them that love him now i can read verse 10 together in unison once you go but god had revealed them just a second he says god had prepared them am i right come on talk to me god has prepared them that's the first thing we see there then he says that the third thing he says is that the first thing he says is that the first thing he says is that the things that he has prepared how does he deliver them to you you know because the prayer if you understand this then you will know that give me give me is the prayer of babies show me show me is the prayer of the mature because he didn't say he give that us the things that he has prepared he reveals them unto us for in this kingdom revelation is possession if somebody follow what i'm saying here and everybody look at me here even if he gives you and you don't have the revelation it will be taken the only thing that cannot be taken from you is what is revealed that's the only thing that cannot be taken anything that comes into your life that is not on the platform of revelation can be taken how many of you have gotten a healing before and satan came to attack you kenny hagen says most victories are lost in the counter-attack i agree because usually hear me and hear me well the counter-attack is always greater than the counter-attack and the counter-attack is always greater than the counter-attack and the victory itself the first attack is never the real attack listen let me digress and help you here the first attack is never the real attack the counter-attack is the real attack which means the moment you say that i have a victory and you say i'm out of egypt i've come out of egypt pharaoh will guard his host and this time he's not coming to make you slaves he's coming to kill you for when a demon is cast out of a man he leaves the place and goes into the wilderness and he comes back finds the place empty garnished he says he goes back and gets seven more devils worse than himself and comes back and he says if that is allowed the worst state of that man is the final state of that man is worse than his initial state is somebody getting what i'm saying so if you listen this is why many believers you see that they have some victory and then after a while you don't see them in church again oh yes they share testimony you can't you don't find them again because the moment that happens you signal something in the realm of the spirit and all satan is asking is do you have the revelation for it if thou be the son of god did you hear it so the bible tells us that when they planted the seed the only time the seed was stolen in that four scenario was the first time and he tells us he says the birds of the air representing the devil so satan didn't come for the harvest he came for the seed is somebody hearing what i'm saying this may help you as well that if if satan considers it that important you better consider it more important the power of light revelation knowledge living life with precision and accuracy not stepping out in assumption and hoping that god will catch you in his message he will catch you in his message he will catch you but the mercy of god must be must be balanced with the justice of god which means there are principles that he cannot break was it not the mercy of god kill a lamb put the blood on the lintel anyone that is in the house will be saved but can the mercy of god cover the guy who stepped out of the house and refused to be underneath the house i wish you together today please tell the person beside you prioritize light it's not a joke prioritize light prioritize light let's follow on here let's read on here it says but god at least has the power to protect us from the evil of the devil so the revelation is possession in the kingdom the way and manner in which god delivers what he has prepared not what he's preparing he has prepared a husband for you do you understand what i'm saying here he has prepared a wife for you the people that should shout him i don't even i don't know why i shout as well how you shout let's ask she's saying amen for people all right all right all right so let's do it again he has prepared a husband for you all right okay okay he has prepared a wife for you look at what he says but give the lord a shout this is how possession happens unto us by his spirit for the spirit such it so the holy ghost is always on the move and we're going to see how this works there's going to be motions always in your spirit man and if you don't understand how the holy ghost works you'll miss out on this he's continuing not that he searched it out search it and the reason he's searching every time is that your life is a continuum so he's searching things out per time all right what are the things for 2025 what are the things for now you are in lucky what are the things for it are you following what i'm saying here now you are married what are the things that are you get what i'm saying here he sets it out and what is he searching out look at it the deep set it out all things how many things come on talk to me how many things come on talk to me how many things does investment include all things come on talk to me those whom to marry include all things are you getting what i'm saying here how many things all things it was mcconkey's who said if you listen to the holy ghost he will make you look like a genius you would have people who say what and you too you'll be saying what like because you know he says here the deep things of god now follow this he says for what man knoweth the things of a man save the spirit of man which is in him so immediately and if you don't understand the paul line paul was a lawyer okay so he played a lot with words he played a lot with figures of speech he braised him and things like that so if you don't understand it you may miss out on what's going on here immediately he's talked about the things of god and he says all things do you see that go back to the previous verse he says such at how many things all things here the deep things of god then he comes here and then he says for what man where the things of a man save the spirit of man which is in him he said even so the things of god knoweth no man but the spirit of god now verse 12 before i explain verse 11 look at verse 12 let's read together i want to go now we have received not the spirit of the world but the spirit which is of god that we might know just a second so what is the assignment of the holy spirit that we might know which means every and anything that the holy ghost does in your life is to the end that you may know are you get what i'm saying here that's why i tell our people i mean for example we had a conference you have a strong move of god's spirit you will fall under the power and all dress but can i tell you something if you stand up from there and you don't know anything you it was empty falling that you may what no he says that he has freely given us look at what he says he says not the spirit of god but the spirit which is of god that we might know the things there are things come on now are you listening to what i'm saying there are things he says that are freely given already given he's prepared it he's given it why are we not seeing it in your life you don't know so the bridge is what revelation knowledge light and this is not something that you can mentally bring yourself into that's what jesus said to peter he said flesh and blood had not revealed this to you which means there is a kind of knowledge that flesh and blood cannot reveal there's a kind no matter the interaction you have there's a kind of knowledge that flesh and blood cannot give you that it will take your father which is in heaven to reveal these things onto you let me say this to you you will be a wonder to many i am saying that listen listen one of the assignments of the priest is to bless bear the ark on your shoulder number one three assignments god gave the priest in the old testament he said number one bear the ark on your shoulder ark of the covenant number two stand in the presence of the lord to minister to the lord then number three he says you will turn back and bless the people haven't received of the lord i stand here in the fullness of my office today and i decree and i declare any here hearing me any eye seeing me within the next seven months you will be a wonder to yourself and to your world in the name of jesus there will be a cascade of events one after the other orchestrated by the spirit of god to bring you with speed into your prepared place in the mighty name of jesus thank you holy spirit please sit down for a bit please sit down for a bit it says that he reveals that we may know the things that are what freely given to us so we it can be given and we are not partakers and the reason is because we don't know it can be given and we are not partakers and the reason is because we don't know now let me just quickly show you this can i have um badrew i mean yeah you have taken over income i mean somebody would listen to our messages and say who is this in came that pastor is always calling so you have taken over taller you to please come i mean so oh girl and then the let me say different operations of god's spirit now if you read it quickly and you just run through it you may not get it in fact i can't i'll just explain it briefly but we have an entire teaching on it kindle manchester um the holy spirit the maker of men you need to go and get that message because i took my time to really explain it the holy spirit the maker of men the first thing he spoke about is this on this side is what you call the things of god are you following what i'm saying the things of god but then he didn't stop there he talked about number two what the things of a man so there is what you call the things of god and there is what you call the things of a man now what are the things of god the things of god refers to the generic provisions of god through the cross that is available to every believer who puts his faith in jesus christ are you following what i'm saying nobody can lay claim specially to it you can't you can't specially lay claim to salvation can you you can't specially lay claim to healing it belongs to everybody it's the are you getting what i'm saying here now but here's where a lot of believers i mean get into as it were problem challenges so they say i believe the things of god and that's the first ministry of the holy spirit so start giving you light revelation counsel in the things of god it started at salvation you heard the message you were convicted in your heart who do you think orchestrated you to be in that meeting where you heard it who do you think orchestrated the video to be playing just at the time you were passing who do you are you get what i'm saying here why was it that when you wanted to go and buy that thing in the super mall that's when that same person who witnessed to you was there do you think all of it was by coincidence no it's the holy spirit why because he's looking for the opportunity to cause you to come into the light of the things of god first being redemption and what salvation but you realize that the way and manner in which it is delivered is by utterance as well that somebody had to share with you somebody had to speak to you somebody had to show you are you following what i'm saying here your heart was convicted and even after salvation everything else will be based on what utterance you come to church we are teaching prosperity we are teaching healing we are teaching all of these things light is coming on to you but these are the things of god are you following what i'm saying generic but there is what is called the things of a man and this is where the game actually changes because this is generic to everybody and everything that is generic you can't stand out with what is general are you following what i'm saying here you're only going to have general results now but you come to the things of a man being the specific will and plan of god for the man this is important the generic will here of the things of god here let's take the covenant of prosperity for example or we can even take the covenant of protection for example i hope you know that at one time the bible tells us that jesus they wanted to carry jesus he just walked through the crowd do you remember he just walked through the crowd they couldn't touch him is that the covenant of protection yes but i hope you know that at another point when he heard the things that were happening the bible says he left and he went to another city same jesus one occasion he braves it and walks right through trouble the other occasion he walks as though he was afraid we know he was not afraid but as though he was afraid joseph says an angel appears to him and says carry the child go now to egypt and then you will be there till those who are seeking the life of the child let me ask you a question are you saying god cannot protect jesus what is the generic the things of god covenant of protection what is the specific instructions which means you can be carrying the covenant of protection but because you don't have the specific you say well i'm going to go in between bye and everybody will be saying but he was making confessions he was declaring he believed god what you don't realize is this that hebrews 11 that chapter that is the charter of faith go and read it 90 of them was and they obeyed god told noah build an ark and he obeyed abraham get up and leave your and he obeyed are you following what i'm saying which means the specific will is where the real action is and it is the job of the holy ghost to bring us both the things of god and the things of a man that's why i can hear your testimony be inspired by it but i can't build my life on it because inside your testimony is the things of god and you have to learn to hear this is the things of god and the things of a man what do i mean by that inside you will see what god has provided to everybody and if you listen very carefully you will see how god instructed them into that program and you will see how god has provided them into that program and you will see how god has provided them into that program and you will see how god has provided them into that so you can take the things of god and meditate upon them and be blessed by it but you must start asking that which i see not teach down me because therein lies the action no wonder mary said listen this thing is not deep this thing is not difficult whatever he tells you to do life of jesus john 5 30 we'll run here look at what jesus said because both the posture and the action of jesus would instruct us look at what it says in john chapter 5 verse 30 it says i can of my own self do what come on talk to me you know i think it was gracious places and races that series our wednesday series and i was saying to them that one time i taught something and we're declaring this and somebody you know amazing interesting i mean people people of god so they sent me the guy sent me and i get you know interested so he sent me a meal and said listen that's not the confession of the new creation that the new creation is sufficient in christ so you cannot say that i kind of myself do nothing he said pastor let me counsel you that no it's okay anybody can be cancelled why are you saying huh all right anybody can be cancelled what's the problem anybody can be cancelled now it's right if you think that you can't be cancelled it's okay you just know the wonder is all right so he said let me counsel you that's what he said he said let me counsel you sir rather than saying i kind of myself do nothing nothing i'm i'm nothing without jesus say that i'm everything with ensures you can do something look at what he says next please follow this teaching here he says as i come on talk to me as i hear do you see the dependence on hearing as i hear i what i judge and my you're not making a decision on the basis of your emotion you're not making a decision on the basis of i mean um general what do they call this in the voice of the people you're not making a decision on the basis of that you're making decision on the basis of information that has been presented to you are you following what i'm saying here and then he says it's like a jury who has heard all the evidence in a trial and now possesses all the information needed to take action so sometimes have you seen how that judges will make a decision and humanly speaking logically and emotionally you feel it's bad it's wrong why would they have done this for example you've seen them acquit people that you know they should not have acquitted and you will argue and argue and argue and what you don't know is that the lord does not respect emotions it is the evidence that is presented that determines the judgment made so when he says that as i hear i judge he's saying the decisions i am making me staying four days before i go minister to lazarus it's not an emotional decision i'm i heard something that i bent down and i made clay and i put it in the eyes of a man who was blind and i ministered bit let's quickly just do this and then we close on this this morning let's look at types and shadows i mean because if you want to learn a subject i mean i don't remember who said it he said it's always important that you look back to the first time this subject was discussed i mean love first mentioned first reference and things like that um and then we know that israel in the wilderness is what you call the church and steven when he was preaching he called israel in the wilderness the church in the wilderness so there's a lot that we in fact that's the oldest um um what's the word um reference to the church it was when israel was in the wilderness all right so there's a lot we can learn by just studying some of the things that happened there exodus 23 verse 20 let's you holy spirit it says behold i send an angel before you so he says i will send an angel and the word angel is in capital do you see that so immediately it tells you he's not talking about the host of angels he's talking about a specific angel now i know there are those who teach of the theophany of christ in the old testament and so anything that looks like a manifestation of god in the old testament we teach it as the theophany which is the manifestation of jesus and all the rest now but for our church and for the sake of the doctrine and things like that that we believe what i believe is that the manifestations that you have in the old testament were more of the holy spirit and i'll prove it to you in just a bit i'll prove it to you in just a bit and so when talked about the angel there he's actually talking about the holy spirit in fact nehemiah let me show you a script scripture that i would not have shown you because i didn't show them in ikeja and there was no time so but let me just show you here very quickly nehemiah chapter 9 verse 19 just to help and this is for bible students do you get what i'm saying okay and i always say something some things all right nehemiah 9 verse 19 it says thou in thy manifold messes forsookest them not in the wilderness the pillar of cloud departed not from them by day to lead them in the way neither the pillar of fire by night to show them light and the way wherein they should go do you agree with me there's a way to go now everybody read verse 20 want to go thou gavest also thy good spirit do you see that so who was instructing and guiding them who is the good spirit all right so let's go back now exodus 23 exodus chapter 23 i want to show you some things there verse 20 it says behold i sent an angel before thee to keep thee in the way and to bring thee into the place which i have prepared do you see that word prepared again who do we use the word prepared with who did we use it with before the holy spirit in first corinthians the second chapter it is the place that i've prepared there's a place he has prepared you are not the one to walk it out he has prepared it are you following what i'm saying here you don't have to walk it out he has planted a garden are you following what i'm saying here he has planted a garden he has planted a but my angel the angel will bring you to the place i've prepared now verse 21 beware of him obey his voice provoke him not for he will not pardon your transgressions who does this sound like the holy spirit blasphemy against the holy spirit do you see that so you see immediately that he's talking about the holy spirit look at verse 22 there but if thou shalt indeed obey his voice and do all that i speak everybody read what will happen then i will be an enemy unto dynamics do you have to pray that god will rise up and fight your enemy do you see what's going on here he says if you obey him and follow then i will be what an enemy to your enemies it won't be prayer points and an adversary unto thine adversaries for mine angel shall go before thee and bring thee on to what there are more rights so this is important he will bring you into warfare the fact that the spirit of god is leading you does not mean you will have there will be no troubles and no challenges but you can be right in the God is with me here have you ever read he said that when thou goest through the fire I will be with you when you go through the floods have you never asked God why didn't you just stop us from going through it or build a bridge why don't you just stop us have you thought of the three Hebrew children that they say blah blah blah they carry demo do you understand what I'm saying they carry them and not only did they carry them they dumped them inside fire that was seven times hotter first miracle those who took them were roasted as soon just from the flames their chains and everything broken us I mean burnt off and then the king said is it not three people we chew into the fire he said but I see four and the visage oh yeah yeah yeah can I tell you something it is better for Jesus to be with you inside the fire than you to be alone in the palace you didn't hear what I said you didn't hear what I said I said it is better for Jesus to be with you inside the fire than for you to be by yourself in the palace and we don't tell him to come and meet us no we go where he is and where is he his word his instruction no wonder when Joshua stood there and then he saw that angel of the Lord Joshua five and six saw that angel of the Lord he said are you on our side or for our enemies the angel did not say I'm on your side neither did he say I'm against your enemies he said as the commander-in-chief of the armies of the Lord you now remove your sandals you don't ask me nonsense question whose side am I you are the one who takes sides is somebody getting what I'm saying here many times we are trying to use prayer to bring God to our side whereas you don't realize that he's where he instructed look at this here I will bring you to the Amorites the Hittites the Perizzites and this is everything in your life this is challenges are you get what I'm saying adversity where everything begins to look like is the exact opposite I mean and you know in today's day in today's world is not heights is not Hittites is not Canaanites is needites relationships are you get what I'm saying so he tells us that he will lead you he will guide you bring you to the place that he has prepared for you now how does this angel or how did this angel work with them chapter 13 of the same book of Exodus quickly we got around you getting anything today 13 21 of Exodus it says and the Lord went before them how did you go before them by a day in a pillar of cloud to lead them the way and by night in what a pillar of what fire to give them light to go by day and by what night everybody read verse 22 want to go he took not away the pillar of the cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night from before the people what does this sound like it says he shall be with you and shall never leave you is that not the Holy Spirit are you seeing how this is playing out now go to chapter 14 and I want you to see something very important there verse 19 still talking about this Holy Spirit manifested as the pillar of cloud and fire it says and the angel of God which went before the camp removed and went behind them and when he removed how did they know he had removed I hope you know that Israel was not seeing an angel with wings I hope you know because when you read it this way you actually think that there was one angel that everybody was seeing and it would be like no no you get what I'm saying they couldn't with their physical eyes see the angel but how what was the manifestation of that angel it was the physical pillar of cloud and fire that they could see how do we know when the angel removed look at it and went behind them what happened the pillar of cloud went from before their face and did what stood behind them and it's a powerful one even though we don't have the time to explain it Egypt was behind Israel was here the pillar of cloud moved in between both of them it says he became darkness to the Egyptians became light onto Israel the power of the indwelling spirit the guidance that comes from him glory to God are you still here I said earlier on that follow the cloud don't follow the crowd follow the cloud don't follow the clock follow the cloud don't follow clouds are you following what I'm saying oh this is important this is important years ago and I've shared this story several times years ago everybody was doing one kind of program like that so I mean I just felt like you know it's okay we should do this program so we did the program powerful program people came they were blessed some people joined the church were happy for it and all the rest some months down the line this was about eight months nine months down the line some people just started fighting in church and if you know Petra this is a house of love there's there's some things you do and people will say what's going on this is strange so I went into prayer because you see you have to understand that there is no fruit without a root so I went into prayer and I said Lord what is going on and then the Lord said to me he said do you remember this program that you did I said I remember it was a great program he said go and check it everybody that is fighting came from that program so I went into prayer and I said Lord what is going on and then the Lord said to me he said do you remember this program that you did I said I remember it was a great program he said go and check it everybody that is fighting came from that you the people that were involved in that squabble they came from that program and the reason I did is not that God instructed it's a cute thing to do and in the immediate it looks as though ah but look at it it worked but down the line look at what was causing us now I was praying God they have to go in the name of Jesus yes sir yes sir let me leave it at that

Speaker 1still here do you understand what I just said do you understand what I just said you understand okay amen so there are things I don't want to say so let's you see if you work with God long enough and you work with men you will learn a lot of things oh boy all right so I'll leave it at that now so we are online so the pillar of cloud all right so let's leave it at that the pillar of cloud the pillar of cloud and the pillar of fire so I began to think about and I just want to wrap up on this very quickly began to think deeply about it that why I mean I was praying about it why would he say pillar of cloud pillar of fire why does it concern consistently used the cloud to represent the Holy Spirit. That's what he used. In fact, at one point, the Bible says that Elijah prayed so much. When he sent his servant out, you remember, he said to him, I mean, by the seventh time or so, he saw a pillar of cloud like the shape of a man's hand. How many of you remember? And that was to represent that the Holy Spirit has given the signal. So I began to study it from rabbinical studies, scientific studies, and all the rest. And if you look at a cloud out there in sky, it might be difficult for you to appreciate this. But even thinking of how aeroplanes fly, it gives you an idea of what a cloud is. The closest you have to a cloud around us is a fog. If you've seen a fog or a mist before, am I right? Now, when you look at a fog from a distance, how many of you know without a shadow of doubt that there is a fog there, there's mist there? You know without a shadow of doubt, am I right? It looks so material, so real. It is as real as the trees, as the leaves. Sometimes, it's even so real that it covers the trees. It covers the mountains and you can't see it. Things that you can't touch. But I hope you know that the moment you get to the cloud, you can't touch it. Which means this cloud that looks so real, that covers mountains and leaves and trees, when you get close to it, you can't hold it in your hand and say this is a cloud. But as you're walking through it, you will feel it. There will be a sense of I'm going through something wet. You can tell it is there, but you can't prove it is there. So, when he uses cloud to describe the guidance of the spirit, it shows us primarily how the Holy Ghost leads the believer. It is by what we call a witness, which means it is there. You are 100% sure it is there, but you can't prove it. You can't hold it. Many times, that's why you can't hold it. You can't hold it. You can't hold it. You can't hold it. That's why you will say something said. You get what I'm saying here. That's why you will say, I'm not sure, but I feel like this. A perception on the inside of yourself. 90% of the guidance that comes into the life of a believer is through what? The witness of the Holy Spirit. 90%. Now, if you stand in a prophetic ministry, definitely you have a lot of those gifts operational, but for the believer, 90% of it is simply going to be, I felt something. I perceived something. I was thinking something, though. How many of you have said that before? I was feeling something, though. Let me show you a few scriptures. Look at this very quick, and just write them down. We may not be able to run through them. Look at Romans chapter 8 verse 16. It says that the Holy Spirit beareth witness with our spirit that we are what? Children of God. Acts chapter 7 verse 23. The Bible says, it came into Moses' heart. I hope you know that it came into his heart. It's completely different from what God said to Moses. Completely different. It came into Moses' heart to visit his brethren, Israel. The same way things have come into your hearts. And you get what I'm saying. But you are waiting for my son. Arise now. I want to change this thing. I want to change it. It's a boomer shot I've been saying. Arise now. Go down to Birmingham. Glory to God. Are you following what I'm saying? But can I tell you that 90% of the guidance of God's spirit in your life will be you just felt. You just felt something inside. You just perceive. And because many a times it's delivered on the platform of your thoughts. You think it's you thinking. I was just thinking. These are just my thoughts. Look at another example. Acts 15.28. They were trying to determine how do we decide whether circumcision or not circumcision. How do we deal with this matter? And what was the answer? It seemed good to the Holy Ghost and us. That's how they determined it. I'll share with them in Ikeja. If they did not seem good to. And they went the wrong way. Do you know all of you would have come here with goats this morning? You won't have time for makeup. I mean, how can you be pulling goats and be doing makeup? From outside, everybody's going to be. It's Emmanuel that will be at the door. This is not a healthy goat. It's not a healthy goat. You go back to your house. This is too healthy. This one is a female goat. This one is a he goat. This one is a striped goat. This one is. You get what I'm saying? You can imagine that all of that was dependent on one thing. It seemed good. To the Holy Ghost and us. Can I tell you something? Some of you would close one billion dollars on it seemed good. Do you know why this is important? I mean, I may not be able to cover all the material here. But do you know why this is important? The first time it seemed good to you or it came into your heart. Because you had not learned how to work with God's spirit. You messed up everything. Maybe you jumped ahead of time. You didn't get extra details that you were supposed to get. Then what happens? You are like Moses. You run away from where you are sent to serve. You run away from destiny. And every time it comes into your heart, you say, God forbid. Because that's what happens to a lot of people. Why do you think God had to use a supernatural means to bring Moses back to ministry? Why do you think it was a burning bush? Why do you think it was a leprous hand? Why do you think it was sticks turned into a snake? Because after what had happened to him. Do you think that Moses? Moses was going to go back to deliver Israel when it came into my heart. Because he would say, the last time it came into my heart. Problem, I killed somebody. They chased me out of town. Do you know that's where a lot of believers are? It seemed good to you. You entered the relationship. Now you are every time. You have not recovered from it. Now you are waiting for spectacular experiences. And yet God's spirit is guiding you. Along the way, you just don't know it. Glory to God. One last one there. Acts 27 verse 10. Look at what it says. It says, It seemed good. Glory to God. Now what's the character of the inward witness? Just write this down and then we'll pray now. Number one is strong conviction. It's authoritative but not forceful. The Holy Spirit is not going to force his will on you. Number two, it is persistent and repetitive. No matter what, that witness will always be in your heart. Number three, it's an inexplicable knowing. It does not come from logic or reasoning. And number four, it's an impression of peace. Which means when God speaks, he speaks peace. Shall we rise up on our feet? Glory to God. Thank you, Holy Spirit. Now let me show you, just a second. Let me show you quickly. I mean, this is building up. On last week, what we said. Meditate on the word. That's number one. But let me show you quickly how your inward witness becomes stronger. This is the key. 1 Corinthians 14. When a man prays and speaks in unknown tongues, he's speaking what? Mysteries. The plan of God. Which means everything that the Holy Spirit will witness to your spirit. You are declaring it out in prayer. Such that your heart becomes very perceptive. When that happens. That witness comes. That is why those who spend more time praying in the spirit. Find it easier to discern the voice of the spirit. It's easier for them to discern that witness. For the next 30 seconds. Lift your two hands towards heaven. Close your eyes. And I want everybody praying out loud in the Holy Spirit. Now please, if you don't. If you're not filled with that evidence of speaking in tongues. Right after the service. Come to the front where the ministers are. That's my left. That's your right. A minister would attend to you. Right after. After the service. Now with a loud voice. Let's pray in the Holy Ghost. What are we doing? We are praying out the mysteries of God's will. Such that when the Holy Ghost witnesses it to us. We have sensitivity and perception. Very easily. By the Holy Ghost. Somebody pray in the spirit wherever you are. You have 10 more seconds. Can you fix your gaze on the Lord and pray? With a loud voice. Pray in the Holy Ghost wherever you are. The Bible says you are speaking forth the divine plan. Such that when the Holy Ghost begins to witness it in your heart. It's not the first time. It's easy for you to sense it. To pick it.
