Sweet Potato Maxxin': Thursday, November 5th, 2026
1h 10m 4s
The hosts of The Toast deliver a lively, conversational summary of current events and personal anecdotes, blending humor with thoughtful commentary. They open with a playful discussion about the rising trend of "Sweet Potato Maxing," where ground beef and sweet potato are combined into hearty bowls, reflecting a broader shift in food culture. The segment explores personal food choices, with one host highlighting how their bland meal contrasts with the vibrant, communal appeal of the trend. A deep dive into candy preferences reveals passionate debates over Kit Kat, Twix, and Milky Way, with the hosts critiquing marketing strategies like the Twix left-right campaign as divisive. The show then transitions into real-life stories: Jen Affleck files for divorce after announcing her pregnancy, sparking concern over the instability of a family with young children; Whitney Leavitt launches her own Hulu reality show, which the hosts view as a potential success given her resilience and public presence; and Sophia Franklin's missed opportunity as a bartender on *Watch What Happens Live* is highlighted as a failure to leverage her powerful memoir and personal story. The hosts also spotlight Lindsey Hubbard’s upcoming memoir, *Activated*, which promises an intimate look at her life. The episode concludes with brand promotions, including fragrances, vegan makeup, high-protein snacks, and kitchen appliances, all framed as tools to enhance daily life and connection. Throughout, the tone remains engaging, balancing humor, empathy, and insight into modern culture.
Good morning girlies, it's the toast. It's Jackson, Claude, and we're your hosts. It's your favorite show, the fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly, it's the toast.
They sound amazing.
Welcome back to the toast and happy Wednesday, no, Thursday.
This week is just flying.
What a little treat.
Happy Thursday, latter half energy.
Hope everybody's having an amazing day.
Hope everyone's having an amazing day.
Hey, Jackson, how are you doing?
I'm doing good, thank you.
Oh, maybe I should be a little more specific.
I'm actually, I'm feeling a little bit disoriented, actually.
Like, just, I don't know.
I love the specificity.
Sometimes, like, I just am in a fog.
Clearly me too, I thought it was Wednesday.
This is my second coffee, which I haven't done since before my Max pregnancy.
So, I think that tells you how I'm doing.
How are you doing?
I'm doing good.
I would think you're doing good.
I think you'd be doing a lot better.
Because I'm with my sister, who I love.
Of course.
But also.
Because we Sweet Potato Max'd last night.
We did Sweet Potato Max'd last night.
I was so excited to talk about this.
So, we actually had a great night last night.
My friend, Rebecca, you guys might know her from the book club.
Of Redhead's fame.
Of Redhead's fame.
We call her Becky on the show.
She came, she's in Florida, so she came to visit us yesterday.
We hung around, we had dinner together, and we decided to Sweet Potato Max.
Which, if you're not familiar with what's going on in the trends in the food space,
the protein maxers are now Sweet Potato Maxing,
where they're eating ground beef and sweet potato,
and making different bowls in different variations,
but always sticking with the main components of your carb being your sweet potato
and your protein being your ground beef.
It's very, like, you know, manosphere.
And we're here podcasting after Sweet Potato Maxing.
We're literally Andrew Tatum's brother.
We're living in the manosphere.
So, I like to make burger bowls for dinner, like hamburger bowls,
but Ben and I have been casually discussing Sweet Potato Maxing.
You have been. Sending him videos.
Sweet Potato Max Curious.
Yes, and I've been sending him videos,
and we just both want a Sweet Potato Max,
plus the babies love Sweet Potato,
so it's like everybody could be Sweet Potato Maxing.
Yeah, kind of everyone but me,
because I had to have a separate meal made
that actually looked like it was for Romeo.
It was very sad.
Jackie got a rotisserie chicken from the kosher grocer,
which I love a rotisserie chicken,
and we had some leftover white rice.
Like, my plate was bright white.
It was, like, blinding me in the eye,
and I was like,
everybody else had, like, orange, sweet potato,
brown beef, lettuce, and tomatoes, and onions.
My plate, I swear, if I had picked the bowl up
and put it on the floor for Bruno,
nobody would have been surprised.
Yeah, it did look like something very blind,
but that's what you wanted.
So, anyways, we had our hamburger bowls
with a side of Sweet Potato Max in.
But you don't feel better?
Well, I definitely wasn't hungry last night.
I don't think I had an after-dinner snack
now that I think about it.
I did.
What'd you have?
I had your husband's candy stash
after claiming that the Trigger Treaters ate it all.
I had two of those little Hershey's nuggets.
I found his stash after he just lied straight to my face
and said that, like, Trigger Treaters. I've been meaning to send you a picture
and say, like, Biggie kept some.
Biggie lied.
So what happened was. Yeah, he did, and he kept full-size bars.
It's not like he kept, like, you know, the bad stuff.
The Laffy Taffy.
No, he got this Costco industrial-sized mixed box,
box, not bag, of Kit Kat, Reese's Cup,
like, two huge cup.
There might have been a Snickers in there.
And Hershey bars.
And Hershey. Hershey with almond, which is not my favorite.
So we put out a huge bowl of candy on Halloween
so Trigger Treaters could come and take what they wanted
because we were out trick-or-treating.
And when we came back to the house,
like, it was totally empty.
And everyone's like, oh, my gosh, oh, no.
I'm like, no.
Zach, like, keeps reserves for himself,
and he's going to have to put out his personal collection.
So he, like, hunched his shoulders
and, like, walked back into the house.
He was like, really?
I have to put out the full bars?
I was like, Kat, you have to put out the full bars.
So he went and bought the full bars,
and he was, like, just acting, like, so devastated.
Honestly, I'm impressed by his acting skills.
He had another. He only put one out of two out,
and he also had another bag of, like, little Hershey.
Those are new edition.
I think he bought those yesterday.
Okay, okay.
So then when I went in the next day
and I saw in the laundry room,
there were still a box of full-size bars.
Like, Biggie kept some for himself.
Notorious B-I-G.
Don't worry.
Ben and I took care of it.
We, like, we went hard.
And every time I saw that box this week,
I meant to send you a picture.
I mean, like, don't worry about Zach.
He kept some for himself.
And I had a Kit Kat.
I don't have Kit Kats enough.
Kit Kats are amazing.
But my number one. Is Twix.
Is Twix.
You're wrong for that.
I love Twix.
My number one, like, might be Kit Kat.
That's fair.
That's a good one.
But it also, like,
has historically always been Milky Way.
That's disgusting.
It's crazy that when I say that. I hate Milky Way.
Everyone is like,
really?
Milky Way?
You could, like, offer me a. It's, like, the most classic.
You could offer me a Milky Way,
like, in the middle of the day.
Like, or even after.
It's, like, a sweet treat after lunch.
I'd be like, oh.
Oh, my God.
That's insane.
Because, and you know they make
Milky Way, like, extra caramel.
Oh, no.
Milky Way Midnight's disgusting.
They make Milky Way, like,
extra caramel.
It's, like, so fucking good.
Every time. It's, like, one of my
shockingly most unpopular opinions.
Yeah.
But as I've grown,
I have realized that Kit Kats. They might be taking over.
Kit Kats are so good.
Yeah.
They're a beautiful thing.
And they come in multiple
different sizes and formats.
And they taste different
and, like, better every time.
Yeah, because the chocolate
to wafer ratio keeps changing.
Yeah.
But I do love, like,
the classic Big Four
sticks.
Yeah.
Those are delicious.
Love Kit Kat.
And then, of course,
I also love Almond Joy.
And your Almond Joy
is my Milky Way.
Even though I think Milky Way
is, like, so much more palatable
and universally liked
than Almond Joy.
I agree.
I would agree with you on that.
Like, Almond Joy is, like,
sort of a hot take
except it turns out
everybody actually loves it.
Everybody loves it.
And I think Milky Way,
it's, like, you think it's obvious.
You think it's, like, a Snickers.
But it's not.
Okay, but, like,
so everyone agrees that, like,
Snickers are better than Milky Way?
I totally disagree.
Yes.
Snickers, like,
and if you said your favorite
was Snickers,
I'd be like, oh, classic.
It's not my favorite,
but that's normal.
Although I do want to say
you're not you when you're hungry.
Like, that whole campaign.
Snickers are extremely filling.
Like, the peanuts.
Like, sometimes you eat candy.
Yeah, protein.
Yeah, sometimes you eat candy
and, like, you're not full
and you feel disgusting.
Your Snickers maxed in.
With Snickers,
of course you feel disgusting afterwards
when you eat, like, the whole one.
But you do feel full,
like, for a few hours.
And, you know,
they say a kind bar
is just as unhealthy
as a Snickers.
I believe it.
Me too.
I do believe it.
And then, like,
lots of the marketing
when it comes to candy.
Break me off a piece
of that Kit Kat bar.
Give me a break.
Give me a break.
Break me off a piece.
I actually just watched a TikTok
about how that commercial,
like, you know,
at the time,
Kit Kats were extremely unpopular.
And the whole, like,
coffee break,
give me a break,
made Kit Kat the number one
candy bar in the world
when they were, like,
low-key, like, losers struggling.
Interesting.
That's, like, the Twix one
with the left and right factory.
I think that's the worst
marketing campaign.
And it's, like,
you could have two lefts.
Like, it's just stupid.
And such, like,
politically, like,
divisive times.
You thought so?
I never even thought of it like that.
I think there were people
who were only buying left Twix
and people who were only
buying right Twix.
I never even thought about it
like that.
I just think it created,
it made the divide in this country
even worse.
And I think the Mars company
has a lot to explain.
Interesting.
I do.
Well, that's your candy update
for the day.
Yes, don't worry.
I ate candy last night.
It was so good.
We had sweet potato.
And if you've been thinking
about sweet potato maxin,
so good.
We just cut the sweet potatoes
in half.
Mash it with a fork.
No, no, no.
Then place them in the oven
to roast one hour.
We're starting from the beginning.
400 degrees olive oil, salt,
skin up, flesh down.
And then we are maxin'.
Chillin' out max
and relaxin' all cool.
Shootin' some b-ball
outside of the school.
I think I might max again.
Wow.
Yeah, I think I might.
Don't overdo it, sister.
Don't overdo it.
Because you could do, like,
a taco theme.
Yeah, of course,
you could change the ethnicity
of your sweet potato.
You can go to the Caribbean.
You can go Latina.
Of course, Italian.
I might have a Latina
sweet potato tonight.
An Italian sweet potato.
Buongiorno.
Correct.
You could go Mediterranean,
do, like, a hummus.
Oh, interesting.
You could really.
I love Mediterranean night,
but it's a lot of chopping.
Mediterranean is not
my favorite cuisine.
Probably because it's, like,
the cuisine that's probably
the healthiest.
Like, Italian is fat as fuck.
Yeah.
Asian, you could go either way.
Yeah, you could make it fat.
An Asian sweet potato bowl
sounds nice as well.
It does.
And we could have your Melinda's.
My Melinda's.
Melinda's.
You guys know when I was
on my Weight Watchers journey,
which I will be on again soon.
But Melinda's is good
any time.
Yes, but I only discovered it
because I was in this, like,
underground Facebook group
for, like, people who needed
to eat on Weight Watchers
but, like, wanted to exert
zero points.
And I got a couple of recipes,
some of which I still use
to this day.
True story.
And they were like,
you have to get this chili sauce
to make your,
because you can use unlimited.
Usually the sauce is where
the points get you.
And so I discovered
my Melinda's Thai Chili.
What do you guys know
about Melinda's Thai Chili?
I think everyone knows.
I think it's, like,
a huge company.
I only know about it from you.
Yeah, I know.
But, like, you're not
a sauce person.
I'm not a sauce.
But, like, Ben made a sauce.
It was very collaborative
as well, you know,
because Ben made his
yum-yum sauce
or special sauce, sorry.
I'm sorry that everybody
just had to see me, like,
put my whole mouth
on the water bottle.
It is what it is.
These days, like,
I can't get enough water.
That's great.
That's good.
It is, but, like,
I haven't drank still water.
I am living proof
that drinking seltzer
is the same as drinking
regular water
because if it wasn't,
I would be dead.
I haven't picked up
a bottle of just, like,
Poland Spring
or down here,
Zephyr Hills.
Oh, no, we don't
fuck with Zephyr.
Pure Life.
Who the fuck
came up with that name?
Zephyr Hills.
It must be the name
of the town.
I'm, like,
Poland Spring till I die.
But they don't sell
Poland Spring down here?
No, it's really. Could you get it, like,
delivered?
Like, that's an expense
worth taking on.
Maybe from, like,
Bedbridge Universe
or something.
Yeah, water's very regional.
Yeah, so Zephyr Hills
is definitely
a knock in the Florida column,
but we have Pure Life,
which is totally, like,
normal and fine.
Kirkland is normal and fine,
but do not give me
a Zephyr Hills.
We have dear toasters today.
Just want to let you know,
like, to be conscious
of the time.
Okay, and we actually
have great stories.
Like, I literally sat down
and the first five stories
in my email
were the first five stories.
Will we be discussing
Sophia Franklin
on Watched Robbins Live?
We will.
I'm going to find a way
to work that in
Because I have a rant.
It's need to discuss information.
I have a rant about our queen.
Okay, so someone's getting the boot.
Who will it be?
Yeah, well, no, I could just talk about it right now.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Oh, I guess Cynthia Evo's getting the boot, yeah.
Well, she's running out of goodwill anyways.
Without further ado, it is time for the Fast Five Stories
that you do need to know.

Today's episode is also brought to you by Thrive Cosmetics.
Thrive Cosmetics is a makeup brand,
and we love makeup, so like,
you know, that's always good.
But Thrive Cosmetics, it's layered,
as to why we love them.
One, they're a cause-driven brand, Thrive Cosmetics.
They give tons of money back to, like, local communities,
women's shelters, different organizations,
which is fabulous.
They're also, like, totally vegan and cruelty-free.
And they make amazing products.
So they have the Focus Eyeshadow Palette,
which I, like, love makeup,
and I would say I'm probably above average
in terms of doing my own makeup,
except I can't do eyeshadow.
That's, like, the one thing I really can't do.
And I love the eyeshadow palette from, um,
Thrive, because it really simplifies the eye routine.
It comes with four shades,
and they're literally labeled as to where it goes.
So it'll say, like, lid, crease, highlight.
You know exactly where to apply them.
The ingredients are infused with skin-loving ingredients,
like hyaluronic acid, aloe leaf extract,
antioxidant-rich rice extract.
The formula nourishes and conditions
the delicate eye area with every application.
They also have, um, the mascara, which I love.
It's the, um, Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara,
the Lasting Mark Lip Defining Stain.
I also love their hydrating lip balms.
Everything they make is really good.
Um, and again, they're cause-driven.
They're vegan, cruelty-free,
made with clean, skin-loving ingredients,
and they've donated over $185 million in product
and cash donations to over 700 giving partners.

Today's episode is also brought to you by David Protein.
So, gold, which is David's name,
David's Hero Protein Bar.
I'm sure you've seen it.
You could recognize the packaging.
They're popping up everywhere.
They are so popular.
And they kind of took the protein community
as Sweet Potato Maxers.
We're obviously a part of this community.
Um, they took the Sweet Potato Maxing community
by storm because of their calories from protein ratio.
So I think a lot of us have protein bars that we love.
Some of them have a lot of protein,
but they have so many calories.
And some of them don't even have that much protein,
and they still have so many calories.
Well, David's has 28 grams of protein,
150 calories, and zero sugar.
So that's a 75% calories from protein ratio.
Which makes it the highest protein to calorie ratio
of any leading bar on the market.
And it's also delicious.
The gold bars feature an indulgent doughy texture,
studded with satisfying chunks and airy crisps.
There are so many good flavors.
And it's not like, I feel like they have like a head chef
or something, because their flavors are like
always a little bit more elevated.
Like a salted peanut butter, peanut butter chocolate chunk,
blueberry pie, red velvet, cinnamon roll.
I go for the more savory.
I feel like that's not surprising.
But Ben obviously goes for like, you know, the more.
The more like acai, like flavors that I don't like.
But it's very personal.
It's very personal.
Most protein bars are packed with excess calories and sugar.
While David is different,
they deliver the most protein for the fewest calories.
It's great for staying full,
hitting your protein goals without compromising
on taste or texture.
They also recently launched shakes.
Ben is obsessed with them.
Highly recommend checking those out too.
They're gold.
You can't miss them.
So don't just take our word for it.
Grab it for yourself.
Head to Walmart today to stock up on four counts
of your favorite flavors,
like Ben's blueberry pie or my salted peanut butter.

Our first story,
Secret Lives,
the Mormon Wives star,
Jen Affleck,
files for divorce from her husband,
Zach Affleck,
four months after announcing their pregnancy
with their fourth child.
So Jen and Zach are going their separate ways.
She filed for divorce from her husband
after seven years of marriage.
She filed on Tuesday
in the fourth judicial district court
in Provo, Utah,
according to the filing obtained by People.
TMZ was the first to report the news.
So she's in the OC now.
As a reminder,
four months ago,
they announced that they are pregnant
with their fourth child.
So as far as we know,
she is pregnant.
Yeah, she is.
I saw her last night.
She went to the OC premiere.
And divorcing.
Which is like never a good place to be.
And there's a lot of like jokes being made.
I'm like, we'll talk about all that, of course.
But like at its core,
this is like a tragedy, right?
This is like a family with a lot of young kids
and literally one that's not even born yet.
And they're breaking up.
It's awful.
I do think that this show
has been overwhelmingly bad for them.
And it's funny because I saw like so many people
being like, oh, he's the worst.
So glad she got away from him.
And it's like, my POV is like,
oh, she's the worst.
I'm so glad he got away from her.
Like, they're just so incompatible.
And I think that's like a perfect example
of like why people say
you shouldn't get married young
because they've both changed so much.
Obviously, the fame is a huge factor.
But they both, I think,
like took the fame and the success
and just like did different things with it
and became different people.
And those two people are not compatible.
They're really not.
And I do feel like they tried, honestly.
And like, I can't even blame them
for getting divorced,
except for the fact that you have a child on the way.
So it's like,
try harder,
barring some really bad circumstances.
Yeah, I don't want to judge
because I don't know what happened.
But I do think that if you are getting divorced
when you are pregnant,
that things are terrible.
They have to be terrible
because nobody would do that.
Nobody would do it to themselves,
to their family,
especially with three other young children.
And I don't want to like jump to conclusions
because we have no idea what's going on.
But last we saw them,
from my perspective,
like she was having a mental break.
Yeah, and you also shouldn't make huge decisions
when you're pregnant, period.
Because like, you're not to be like,
women are emotional,
but like, I'm pregnant right now.
And I'm sure if you were to ask me my take on something,
I would say this.
And then in a year, I would say something else.
Like, your emotions really do like persuade you
to feel things that like,
maybe are just heightened,
or maybe you don't feel,
or maybe it's the pregnancy rage.
Like, it is a real thing that like,
you become a different person when you are pregnant.
And I just wouldn't make any long-term decisions right now.
Yeah, which leads me to assume
that something crazy has happened.
Because I don't think you do this
unless something crazy has happened.
You don't do this.
This is. Honestly, so many crazy things have happened between them.
But like, you know, an unforgivable something.
Like a cheating.
Not just like, you're annoying me.
We're incompatible.
But you wanna go to the church and I don't.
You know what I mean?
Like, those are normal marital problems
that like, we can deal with when we have the bandwidth,
when we don't have such young children and I'm not pregnant.
Yeah, it could be deeper than that.
It also could be like,
she's coming off of a really bad season
where I think she got pregnant.
She got a lot of negative feedback.
A lot of hate.
She's also pregnant.
So much of that hate had to do with her role in her marriage.
Like, maybe that just like, you know,
makes it a tough marriage to be a part of.
- Unacceptable.
- Agreed, agreed.
- And that's why this is hard for me to like,
speak on without like, coming off a little bit judgmental.
- Totally.
- But this is a crazy thing to do
if nothing crazy has happened
and it's just your usual unhappy marriage.
Like, at least just wait.
- 'Til you give birth.
- Give birth.
Like, come to yourself.
We say it a lot in your toasters.
I forget, maybe you said it.
You saw it somewhere.
Like, don't make big decisions like this
when you have a child under two?
Unless, and we're always saying.
Barring extreme circumstances, abuse, et cetera.
Yeah.
Cheating.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So that's why I'm not.
She also just has like a lot of change in her life, period.
Like she is leaving the Utah wives.
She's going to the OC wives.
Have they moved?
Maybe they have to file in Utah because that's where they were legally married, but.
Not necessarily.
She probably just popped into OC to film the show.
Like.
Yeah.
She's just all over.
And she.
She is.
Yeah.
I think they really became like rootless when the show started and they like stopped going
to church and they moved to Arizona and they moved to New York and now they moved to the
OC.
And what did he say?
They've moved nine times in the last few years.
Like these are not like great circumstances for like a young family.
No.
And they've moved so many times, like in pursuit of her career and her dreams.
And those dreams like really haven't panned out.
And I think that's why she was so resentful towards Whitney, who's like kind of doing it
all.
And it seems impossible.
She also has young kids and she moves a lot and her marriage was tested, but it seems
just to be working out a lot better for her.
So like, it's no wonder she's so resentful of Whitney and like very clearly just jealous.
A lot of people were like commenting that, you know, the timing of her announcement is
just like overshadowed because yesterday Whitney and her family made an announcement.
Yeah, we're going to talk about that next.
That they have a new show coming out.
And like, I don't, I actually don't think it had anything to do with that.
I think that also, you know, the OC premiere was last night.
I saw a TikTok like that.
All the girls were together.
So I think like net net.
This is, you know, positive for the show and it does sort of cement.
Not cement.
It creates something for a storyline.
Well, yes, because for me, I'm like, give me Slamu now.
Like I need to understand what's going on between Jen and Zach that would lead to something
like this.
Like for me, I'm like whatever they're putting on.
I was going to watch anyway, but now I have to watch.
And also in terms of Jen and the new show, like I don't really know what I would be tuning
in.
To me, the most interesting parts of Jen are her relationship with the Utah ladies.
So now she's going to OC.
well now I have to watch like I need to know what's going on yeah but I do think it's not
just like a ploy for attention attention for the show to separation exactly not a filing she went
home to Utah to file paperwork yeah and I think that's just a really crazy place to be with three
young children and pregnant and so I have to assume that like things have deteriorated far
more than what we saw and maybe it's just like me being naive but the last we saw of him and he was
and by the way he was the woat in the beginning I agree we all know we were all there he definitely
seemed really sound of mind to these last like two three seasons he was the one who's taking on a
majority housework supportive very supportive but also like realistic and that last conversation
they had in the um soda shop that he clearly is an investor in was actually I think like it was a
devastating scene but it was quite a good scene for Zach because I think it made it sort of sort
of cleared up a lot of the misconceptions about him that he is this like sort of unsupportive old school
traditional woman in the kitchen type of no he's been like very comfortable for many years sort of
following his wife around and taking on the majority of like the child rearing more domestic
roles and he just wanted to have that conversation offline and she was sort of like exploiting it for
the show and it was just a bad look for her and so the last I saw of him maybe he's a totally
different guy offline but the last I saw of him I was like no this is a guy who's trying
yes and that was our take I know some people disagreed with us that we thought like he was
a good supportive husband and like we were in their domestic disputes we were actually team
Zach because we saw of her like now she wants to do sports illustrated and write music and write
music and she's like tick-tocking alone in New York with the other girls she's going on this
trip to see a girl that she hates like every I thought all of her behavior she's you know was
erratic Taylor I thought all of her behavior was so erratic and I felt strange watching it I can't
say what I was seeing and feeling but it just felt strange I think a lot of the fans like never moved
on from Chippendale game like and so much has happened since then I have sort of started to
see another side of him since then so I think that's a good thing I think that's a good thing
that's a good thing that's a good thing that's a good thing that's a good thing that's a good thing
even in her confessionals the way she was speaking just something was not aligned and I want to say
that I feel she it's such an unfortunate time for her to be on TV because she's the type of person
who's having multiple children really close together so that's like six years of being
pregnant postpartum breastfeeding you're really not yourself at all until you're done and with
her when she's done she gets pregnant again so like the cycle sort of continues and I feel like
she doesn't really know herself we don't know her and she's just sort of stuck in
this cycle of like hormones I know that's like terrible to say it's like yeah it's like reductive
to women but I'm experiencing it right now I don't feel like I'm the best version of myself
I honestly don't even know who I am I don't know what to wear like I'm just like sort of trudging
through it until I can get back and I had started to feel like myself before I got pregnant so when
you're doing it so quick back-to-back like I don't feel like you get an opportunity to sort
of find yourself again and she's doing it on a public stage and so people are of course are
critical and so that's why like I give Gracie on Dancing with the Stars I'm like everyone be nice
to Jen yeah like shut up you have something nasty to say and those aren't necessarily my issues but
even like the fact that she like keeps growing her family and now is going to file for divorce
pregnant I I can't compute it it's decisions that are in Congress with one another yeah
so hopefully we'll know more soon but all in all this is just very sad I haven't seen
any jokes but like I have no jokes to make no it's bad it's sad our next story
is related secret lives Mormon wives star Whitney Leavitt gets her own reality show on Hulu so six
months after announcing she was leaving slamo Whitney Leavitt is back in business with Hulu
Deadline understands that Leavitt is set to star and produce her own show for Hulu the streamer has
greenlit the untitled series which comes from the Mormon wives producer and production houses it
will quote follow firebrand Whitney Leavitt and her family as they navigate her newfound fame and
career ambitions while always putting family first it sounds like House of Leavitt yes um I think a
lot of people have wanted this I think a lot of people prayed for this and I think a lot of people
predicted this now I do find her life so interesting because she's in a similar what we were just saying
Jen young children all these opportunities marital scuffles of course who could forget the great
dating app saga and she seems to be balancing it all perfectly now of course nobody's perfect I'm
interested in taking a peek under the hood
I really am I am too I just like get nervous about shows like this because they're never successful
it is really hard and the thing about secret lives of Mormon wives is I don't really think any of them
need their own show the interesting part is the dynamics yes and also no like I need a fifth of
how you manage your home life and then this one and then this one and this one how are you going
to fill in out it's hard to go from being part of an ensemble to filling the whole hour most people
are unsuccessful in doing it well also say that Whitney Leavitt is good at everything that she does
I think she'll find success in this because she finds success in everything I'm just saying like
typically when someone leaves a show and starts their own show it's very hard even the biggest
star from that show Bethany yeah Bethany ever after and Bethany says I do like those were not
huge hits yeah and she was sort of like a guaranteed star like if I was on a successful
ensemble show and everyone's like yeah you're on troll it's like no it's a trap it's a curse it's
a trap like you think but it's like you get to shine and when you have other people around you
that like lift you up it's just a better dynamic and you have to have a lot going on in your life
and a lot that you want to share for it to work and a lot of like supporting characters who we
care about Stassi is a good example that's why I say House of Lee Abbott yeah um oh they're talking
about House of Dragon like yeah like Stassi I think Stassi brought in like as many people as
she could because it it is almost impossible to do it even if you're the most interesting dynamic
funny successful it's just a lot of air time to fill without like spilling your guts completely so
I don't know like who's in her world to me oh you know what like bring back to me yeah I kind of want
to hear what she has to say now at the time I wasn't ready for it but I don't know their parents
or something like sure I hope they've been filming of a couple successful like the Zolciaks were a
successful spin-off they were they're announced they're they're an ensemble themselves the
family's 11 people exactly it's not just Kim and Croy and it's like Winnie has three kids but they
are toddlers I don't want to watch your toddler no and please don't make your don't hit the star of
the song like it's uncomfortable it's cruel um another success the Bella Twins
that's interesting let's discuss they were on remind me because that's a little bit of a blind
WWE Divas Divas yeah yeah what was it called and then they got Bella Twins uh-huh then they got
the belt what it was that too I just can't like take anything on a seriously I don't know why to
me the network is such a flop even though that show in that series was not a flop and it really
played the Bella Twins stars no and it's like it was about like their parents and their stepdad John
Cena and they're like boyfriends and husbands and everybody everybody got involved in all of
it and yeah that was really good they had like a good family that could spin off yeah the Kardashians
have done many successful spin-offs yes um but they were more so like anthologies like they were
miniseries yeah um it's not a guaranteed flop but it's hard it is harder than I think people think
although I mean personally like I hope they've been filming I would love to know I think for
sure she had said no to Traders because it's like Connor's time and then Connor got off in
the first week and she literally texted them like no I'll come now like I would love to know how that
worked um I think they live in New York I think they live in Utah now and I just saw she filmed
an ad in a gorgeous kitchen that's not in New York but didn't they make a whole thing about
her moving to New York even after Chicago and she was gonna do another show no and then they also
did like a home spread with the magazine but it was in a they moved back to Utah I'm pretty
sure that was the thesis I think the success of all the women is predicated on them always
being in Utah like I don't know why I think it's like a part of the recipe for success
so and I don't think that she's right for New York like stints for your
shows of course but um the interesting thing about these women is their connection to the church like
it is this sort of anomaly that people are obsessed with and so i hope that the show films in utah
they they live in utah and i imagine other cast members they all left on good terms with her
besides jen so maybe we'll get cameos like macy and michaela yeah that's slomo so macy and michaela
are also teasing their own show eminem and they're like writing in the comments like about you know
production and stuff like if everyone's getting their own show why don't you put it all together
and make it the secret lives of mormon if whitney leavitt is gonna have her own show with demi and
macy and michaela like that's slomo because taylor's leaving jen is mia that's secret lives
mormon lives yeah i don't know it's just i i find that it's a trap but i also feel like whitney
leavitt if anyone can do it when she puts her mind to something she will succeed so i agree i
personally will be watching me too what's the name of the show they're untitled so i'm just calling it
house of leavitt
okay um leading leavitt yeah or they could do like leavitt installments if hulu like gives
all these people spinoffs like it could just be like house of blank like kind of a good idea yeah
house of franchise the house of franchise like stassi would have to own it because she did come
up with the name yeah sure sure executive produced by stassi schroeder love it yeah
oh jesse draper yeah it's the other slomo she's got a lot going on in her house she does lots
of supporting characters house of brunette house house of brunette um okay are you ready for our
next story sophia franklin bartended on watch what happens live to promote her new memoir daddy
issues angie k and michelle collins were guests on the episode and sophia actually had some words
with angie k i guess they had some beef it's a little confusing sophia franklin's from utah so
a lot of people don't put that together
she does a lot of utah comment with content with slomo and real housewives of salt lake city i think
she had said that like her mom was approached to be on the show i think maybe her mom like knows
the women to be honest i don't really care about the angie thing i wanted to talk about this because
i was so shocked to see her bartending seriously who's getting fired and it's not like you know
they had unreal guests they couldn't postpone i actually really like michelle collins she's been
on the show 10 000 times i think she's sort of like one of his like sub-ins like when somebody
cancels or they need someone in new york someone who could come on short notice kelly ripley
there but he has people who will just john mayer who will just like john hill who will just hop in
i believe she's one of them she gives great takes and she's a very good villain this is not
a slight she's been on the show 10 000 times like literally 10 000 times
put sophia in the chair sophia's writing the the tell-all of the season when i saw her standing
there i wish she had declined it and i know like she's just doing press right now and so any press
is good press and honestly she's making more news as a bartender than literally anybody ever has but
i was so shocked and disappointed and i feel like that was a huge miss for watch what happens live
they had sat her down and just asked her i heard i saw a girl on tiktok her like local bookstore like
had it early and she read it she says it's the craziest book she said you guys aren't ready for
the tea i skipped it because i didn't want i don't know if she's gonna spill it you could have
literally had the interview of the century and you made her the bartender like i'm mad yeah i'm mad
on her i'm sure she was insulted too but you just take like the opportunity and i think she did an
amazing job they also asked her about um mosquito island which is the real house she volunteered
because the question was like which of the house was the real house was the real house was the real house
husbands for michelle collins you still could get it she was like mauricio and then andy asked
sophia have you ever partied with mauricio which like she probably has but she had a relevant bravo
she was like no but i have been to mosquito island which is the island on real housewives of new york
that's being like widely contested is it a private island is it a dump and so this is a person who's
literally been there like she would have been an amazing guest yeah and then andy said that she was
almost cast for summer house and she was like yeah i made it to the final rounds but i didn't get it
so glad she didn't by the way and he was like oh that seems like a miss from casting because like
you would be great and she was like she was like yeah but i think i'm meant to be more of an author
i was cracking up she would have been an amazing guest it was like we got so many moments all the
clips because i went on watch happens lives tiktok today to like see the clips they were all about
sophia so it's like your bartender is making more news than the people in your chairs and yeah and
then angie confronted her i guess like sophia on her podcast like a couple of years ago started a
rumor that one of her boyfriends that she was seeing um hooked up with like who she didn't say
angie but everybody assumed it was angie like she gave clues or whatever and um angie was mad because
at the time angie was married and it's not true and sophia like literally didn't even apologize
she was like oh yeah it wasn't you and i'm glad we cleared that up like she didn't even though
angie was like that hurt my feelings you hurt my marriage sophia was like you were sort of waiting
for her to be like and you're right she was like well it wasn't so i'm glad we took care of that
she's so funny like i could i can't believe what a missed opportunity it was and i'm very curious
the book comes out in like five days what other pr she's doing like i haven't seen i know she's
been doing all these like sort of like literary excerpts and vanity fair articles but like a sit
down i don't think she'll do like jay shetty i think she could i think she could but i don't
actually don't know if that would be right for her she could do it's going howard stern like
howard stern notoriously hates alex cooper so like you know it's funny but also alex stern's audience
like isn't they don't care they're not paying attention to this she could go on jake shane
i don't think jake shane people are are in this industry like
still afraid of alex scooper she actually is a very powerful woman in media and i think if you
have sophia franklin on your show like you're sort of aligning yourself with one side or the other
um and i don't know if jake shane like wants to put himself in the middle of that that's why like
more traditional media like they don't give a fuck like yeah she should have been everyone
was the perfect it should have just been that yeah but i think jay shetty jay shetty doesn't
care he doesn't he's not in like the swirly no he's not and there is like a deeply emotional
traumatic part of what she went through aside from the gossip
we're all looking for being universally canceled yes but also like her abortion that she talks about
and also like her daddy issues the show is a the book is about like her life it's not just about
alex they call her daddy stuff so i think there's a lot more she could talk about i wouldn't be
surprised if she's like next week on jay shetty a lot of people who write a book then like
supplement with a jay shetty interview i'm trying to think like more like hayden penetier yes yes
yes i'm just trying to think like what other outside of podcasts like amy poehler
that would be good that would be fun but again like that as an amy poehler woman in podcasting
like you are sort of no i think amy poehler is above the drama there are people who are above
the drama yes like i think jake shane like is in like the girly sphere he's in the mix so yeah that
would be planting your flag go on hot mess yes she could but it's not like an interview show i mean
maybe she will oh get real with me do you get real but it wouldn't be like you know tell me
everything she's doing so far it's like very high brow so not that get real is not high brow but i
think she'll continue to do more like mainstream outlets yeah i'm curious and she's obviously
hired like very good pr because she's in the new york times she's in banny fair it's come across
our desk multiple every day yeah in every way i just couldn't believe they made her bartender like
i feel and i'm not saying this in a bad way i feel like the bar for guests on watch happens
live has actually not gotten lower but expanded yes they include lots of different like podcasters
um and i think it's great because for a while it's like how many bravo liberties in the same
four bravo fans can you like swap in and out so you started to have like you know danny
pellegrino and i think it's great when they like incorporate yeah when they incorporate digital
talent so like i was shocked like yeah who and usually these influencers first of all i find
influencers like more interesting than a traditional celebrity i would watch an episode
with danny pellegrino and tinks 10 times faster than i would watch an episode with like jessica
alba right a hundred percent she's like she's my
go-to boring celebrity like she's so boring that's why you know and it's like i don't need
to hear an interview but like go i love your movies yeah right um love the honest company
i really i love the wipes but it's like that's just like my when i think about like just sort
of bland yeah um influencers oftentimes have had a lot of encounters and experiences with like the
world and like remember tinks was involved in like the jesse solomon we like we need to even
she had this like angie k connection like
she auditioned for summer house she definitely has partied with the people there's literally no
reason and i and i can't stress enough how like how much i actually really like michelle collins
taylor strecker's really good friends with her and she says she's like really cool and this is
not a slight against her she's doing she's like well read on bravo love like she literally could
have been tomorrow uh-huh i understand angie it's probably they probably aired salt lake city last
night so you have someone from the show and angie and sophia it would have been great like two ops
yeah or sophia tomorrow night like like literally whatever bring her back like seriously fix it
undo it again all the comments were like bartender yeah and these days bartenders like really just
like the bakery down the shop that paid it's a sponsorship it's a sponsorship like the creative
director of bubbly sparkling wine like exactly or like breads bakery yeah it's a sponsorship it's
more often than not paid it's not like a personality no yeah because like i think the
personalities realized it's the worst gig in the industry yeah like you get three minutes of airtime
andy you're a nuisance to andy like he's just i think he wishes he never started the bartender
thing because it's just like sort of it's like like nap yeah and it's like he's already in a
rush and hates his guys and i was like talk to the bartender who paid to be yeah correct
but you didn't pay when you were the bartender no no i was higher talent
but like years later we had um inquired about having ben bartend
to like for like spritz and we were trying to like do it like in a funny way and they were like well
we're going to do this and it's spot so anytime you see like a product or like a it's it's paid i
think it was like five thousand dollars and i was like that's seriously a waste of money
that's it or maybe it was more it's definitely more
more i'm remembering it being five or 12 those two numbers like are coming to me five like is a good
good deal to get your brand on watch it happens i've and andy has to engage with it right and if
it's a good brand like it with the right audience everyone be like oh we love this yeah it's a risk
because sometimes you're the bartender and it's like it ends up being bad for your brand because
like andy hates you everyone hates you and then sometimes you really can make a moment out of it
very rarely and sophia did yeah it's a gamble yeah it's a thousand dollar gamble are you ready
for our next story bravo news four yes summer house star lindsey mother hubbard reveals her
vulnerable new memoir called activated so lindsey hubbard is ready to share her story with readers
no holds barred the summer house star will publish her debut memoir activated in 2027
through simon schuster imprint gallery books people can exclusively reveal the cover so we
have lindsey looking off to the side with activated above her head i guess like the time is right
she's obviously like on the other side of the screen she's like i'm not sure if i'm going to
be able to do this i'm not sure if i'm going to be able to do this i'm not sure if i'm going to
on the other side of her journey she was this sort of like controversial somewhat polarizing
reality star she went through like lows and highs and contours and then she came out on top she got
like sort of like a mini ariana maddox treatment where she's like now well respected with it she's
like a she's like a bravo hall of famer now um so it's a good time to write a book when i think of
the things i want from lindsey hubbard i haven't thought of a book i'm sure it'll be good i think
she has a a story to tell because she's 40 years old so she has
lived life before yeah she was on bravo she said i've sat down many times over the years to write
this book but life moves quickly in my world turning 40 felt like the right time to finally
tell my whole story the book promises never before told stories along with a thrilling
look at her life before cameras started rolling i mean we know she has an interesting childhood
oh do we yes and like her relationship with her mom oh yeah and she like doesn't have one right
so i think there's probably a lot there she said although you've seen bits and pieces of my journey
on tv there's so much more that fans don't know about my life
from my childhood to college years and my insane pr days she went to college yeah and then she was
a publicist i remember that she came on as like this hub house like high-powered publicist in
the early days of summer house i'm giving you all the details of my very full life with vulnerability
laughter comedy and excitement i mean every year let's say a handful of reality stars and
influencers write their memoirs you know who are chosen by carl's was really well received yeah
craig did it a lot of did he have pillows and beer was it no that's a podcast what's wrong with my
sewing it's a great name for a book but i don't know what it is
i don't think it is i forget what his was called we we had him on it was like six years ago i
remember lala kent wrote hers i think sheena did stassi of course did pillow talk cute and of course
his children's book patchwork oh yes a new addition to my library yes um so i think lindsey's a good
choice like if they're looking at the jesse draper is writing hers leila macy you know so if they're
looking at people who are ready
to write i actually think she's a better choice than most because she is 40 she is now a mother
she's on the other side of you know probably the crazy times in her life and it probably has a lot
of lessons to share so i think this is a good choice i agree and it's a good title too oh title
activated yeah like literally what else could it be there's actually a lot it could be but um
that's good i'm i approve memoirs of a hubbard the remainder of today's show is brought to you

our fifth and final story kim kardashian and jennifer lawrence hit the streets and matching
pjs on a girl's night out so kim and j-law are kicking off the holiday season with a girl's
night out they were spotted entering the four seasons hotel and leaving in matching skims pjs
from the brand's new holiday campaign oh i didn't see them leaving in the yeah matching robes well
they obviously both are getting something out of this because jennifer lawrence clearly who's never
been spotted like ever she's twice a day now historically and she's never been spotted ever
you know very private being spotted with kim like thanks because we're here to support s degree
And on the way out, we're supporting Skims degree.
Like, women in business.
I'm reading right through this.
Oh, of course.
I mean, we know that they are friends.
Did they say where they went?
Did they go to Amman?
They said Four Seasons.
Oh, okay, okay.
We know they're friends.
J-Lo loves Chris.
Yeah, of course.
And we just saw her beef with Kourtney on the show.
I don't doubt that this is a real friendship.
I think just like the timing is obviously very strategic.
Yeah, like, hey, let's make a moment, you know?
And maybe they would have had dinner anyway, but like. Privately.
Yeah, Jennifer Lawrence doesn't do that.
Like, curb, that curb walk.
Yeah, no, we're literally seeing her twice a day.
In the morning, offer her morning walk.
Pajamas.
We're seeing her morning pajamas and her evening pajamas.
Yeah, yeah, she's doing the most, which you have to do.
I would love to know how Miss Degree is doing, like, sales-wise.
I saw, like, a couple people reviewing it.
I saw one review.
I didn't see PR or anything.
I saw someone got sent it.
And so she was using it, and she didn't like it, but. Oh.
But she. Oh, she didn't like it.
But she wasn't, like, trying to be rude or anything.
It was like. Like an honest review.
It was just like, yeah.
Yeah.
What I liked, one product that she has is, like, this leave-in thing that you put in
before you shower, and then you wash it in the shower, which I love that.
I hate a leave-in mask that I have to do in the shower.
What, I just wait there for 10 minutes?
I think a lot of them. Are before the shower?
Yeah, you wash it out in the shower.
I've never had a mask like that.
You put on dry hair.
Yeah.
And then you go in the shower.
Yeah.
Some of them are, like, for a bather.
Like, a lot of them, you put them in your wet hair, so you lay in the bath with a mask.
I'm in the shower.
I'm, like, standing there.
No, I agree.
It's a bath thing.
It's not a shower thing.
So, I like the idea of a dry mask that washes off in the shower.
That works for my, like, you know, my workflow.
Yeah.
Agreed.
I get the sense that you're, like, really baiting for PR, and it's not working, so you
just have to buy it, and you have to try it, and perhaps do, like, a whole tutorial.
Oh, no.
I wasn't baiting for PR.
So, what's stopping you from getting the product?
Where do they sell it?
Just online?
Yeah.
I just, like, I have a lot of stuff.
Of course.
Overconsumption culture is so real.
And I didn't say anyone say, like, oh, my God.
You need. You need this mess degree.
So, I'm just sort of, like, waiting.
I have not seen anyone saying you need this S degree.
I'm waiting and seeing.
And listening and learning.
But I'm trying to stay open and supportive.
Yes, you are.
That's very sweet of you.
You know?
Yeah.
Like, she never did anything wrong to me.
No, of course not.
And I just want to say, I am now, like, looking at her hair.
Yes.
And she's covered it with a hood.
Yeah.
But maybe that's the mess, you know, in mess degree.
And the thing is, is, like, regardless of whether or not I think this was, like, a good choice
for Sarah Jessica Lawrence.
What's her name?
Jennifer.
Jennifer Lawrence.
Thank you.
Oh, my God.
If anyone, like, even my faves had released this, I am not the target demo for a hair
care brand that endorses mess.
Like, my hair, like, I always want. I'm looking for. Call your brand polish degree.
Like, I want a silky smooth polished look.
A perfectly straight part.
No flyaways.
Like, this is just not my hair philosophy.
I had the craziest dream.
I know, like, nobody cares.
But we were with Taylor Swift.
No, no, Jackie, for real.
I feel like it means something.
We were with Taylor Swift.
And she was, like, kind of giving us, like, an interview.
But she was also just, like, talking to us.
And she shared that she has a five-year-old daughter named Mae.
M-A-E.
And as she's, like, telling us, we're screaming.
Like, we're like, ah!
Like, we can't believe it.
Like, some construction is starting, like, in the room that we're in.
So, like, there are all these construction workers.
Like, we have this, like, huge hyper-file piece of information.
Like, so me, you, and Taylor are, like, running around this house.
I think it's, like, the house we grew up in, actually.
We're running around this house.
We're looking for a private place.
And every time we go into a room, there's, like, a construction worker laying in your bed.
Or, like, we can't.
And so we never get to, like, tie, like, beyond.
We never get to hear more.
It's kind of a crazy dream.
I believe it.
Mae.
Because at first, when she said that Mae, her daughter, I'm like, oh, my God.
Her and Travis had a baby.
Then she was like, and she's five.
So I'm like, oh, it's Jo Allman's baby.
It's, like, the baby that we always thought.
We thought.
Everybody did think that during her, like, before Reputation, when she took that year off.
No, we didn't think that.
It's not like everybody thought she had a baby.
But it's like, well, you could have had a baby.
And it would have been actually a good time.
Yeah.
She was not spotted for a whole year.
Nobody even knows, like, geographically where she was.
Yeah.
It would have been the perfect time to have a child.
So, and I think the name, like, is totally.
Mae.
She would have Mae Swift.
M-A-E.
100%.
Mae Kelsey.
No, but it wouldn't be Travis's.
Oh, right.
But maybe he would adopt.
Mae Allman.
He would adopt.
I think it would be Mae Swift.
I think she did it herself.
As she motherfucking should.
And I think Travis will adopt Mae.
I think so, too.
And he will be the father.
I'd stepped up.
But honestly, I think, like, that was more of a prophecy and less of a dream.
That's why I shared it.
Nobody wants to share their dreams.
Do I ever come on here?
And every time I do, I'm, like, embarrassed to share.
No, I'm telling you, I'm onto something.
But you also feel, like, subconsciously, like, we can't get him in it alone.
Is that how you feel?
No.
No, no.
You know what it is?
It's, like, literally, like, we're 50 feet from stardom.
Like, we got this, you know, huge piece of information.
But because of, you know, other circumstances, we can't actually finish it.
Yeah.
Like, it's how we'll be nominated for a Golden Globe, but we won't win.
But we'll be nominated?
They didn't tell me that in the prophecy, but I'm just, like, extrapolating.
But do you think we'll be nominated?
I'm having a hard time because, like, obviously, I thought no.
But the more I'm, like, left to think.
They gave me a month to think about it.
Like, and here are a few reasons why.
Statistically, it's not impossible.
Out of 30?
Out of 30.
And I happen to know, just, like, through people I've spoken to, like, there are four
or five shows who will not be submitting.
And you could be on the list of 30, but that doesn't mean all 30 are eligible.
You have to pay.
You have to submit.
You have to put together.
A lot of work.
We have to put together this whole presentation.
We did it.
I mean, we did it early.
So I would say maybe 25.
Those are not five.
But how many nominees?
Six?
Six out of 25 is, like, a 30% chance.
It's not that crazy.
Also, and I don't know.
I actually wish he didn't say this, but we had, like, a call with our whole team.
And our agent was, like, well, you guys are obviously being nominated.
And this is, we actually, not to brag, we have an amazing agent who does, like, really
high profile.
We're, like, one of his lower tier.
Well, actually, Golden Globes.
Like, he's not just, like, saying this.
And he was, like, you guys are, he really believed that we were going to be nominated.
And I was, like, are you just saying that?
And he was, like, no, no.
Like, it's almost, like, guaranteed.
I was, like, wait.
What?
So I wish he didn't say that.
Because now I'm, like, well, we're obviously getting nominated.
He said so.
So you're saying there's a chance.
He said it.
Not me.
He's saying there's a chance.
I would say to the L.A. Toasters, just keep your eyes open.
Yeah.
Keep your eyes up, L.A. Toasters.
We got a little present for you.
I would acknowledge your surroundings.
Yeah.
Be aware of your surroundings.
Right.
Don't text and drive.
And, L.A. voters, it's not for the Toasters.
It's for the voters.
No, but the Toasters get to experience what's going on.
Of course.
What we have in store.
What was the story?
Oh, Mestigree.
Mestigree.
Mestigree.
And that's how S sees it.
Mestigree.
Mestigree.
My hair's a Mestigree.
Is this a song or are you just making it up?
I'm just making it up.
Oh, I didn't know if the tune was, like, supposed to be familiar.
No, I'm just making it up.
I love that.
That's so turdy of you.
The band just makes me want to sing.
She's obsessed.
And you tell me she's not baiting for PR.
The band just makes me want to sing and dance.
Mestigree.
Mestigree.
Mestigree.
Mestigree.
Let's dive into Dear Toasters, our weekly advice segment, where, I guess, every Thursday,
Jackie and I are, you know, giving back to our community.
You guys write in to us all the time, like, turdy, what do you think about this?
Jax, what should I do?
And we decided to turn it into a segment, Dear Toasters.
So you can email us, deartoasters at gmail.com, or head on over to our website, thetoastpodcast.com.
Scroll down.
There's a little submission box.
You can see, you know, share to your heart's desire.
Hey, Swirlies, I need your advice.
Tell me if I'm being prude or if I should just shut up.
My sister-in-law is pregnant, which is amazing.
I love babies.
I think they're the biggest blessing.
And I recently just had my first.
The way she does, she does OnlyFans as her main source of income.
We thought she'd quit after finding out that she was pregnant, but we found out she's still
been posting content while heavily pregnant with no signs of stopping.
It feels exploitive and yucky to me.
And being a new mom, I can't even fathom what she's doing.
I brought it up to my husband multiple times now.
It bothers me, and he never wants to talk about it, which I get.
That's his sister.
But I have to talk about it.
Luckily, we don't see her super often, but she's really open about it, and I'm worried
about my baby growing up around this.
I know it's my responsibility as his parent to make sure he knows what's wrong and normal,
but I guess I'm feeling angry that I even have to worry about this.
Do I suffer in silence, or do I really need to broach the subject with my husband?
I'm not even sure the outcome I'm expecting or wanting, but I feel like something has
to be said or a line needs to be drawn, preferably not by me.
Love you, girl, so much.
Thanks for your help.
Yeah, your husband doesn't want to talk about his sister's OnlyFans account.
I just want to say, in this particular moment, it doesn't really affect you.
Now, down the line of having to—you just had a baby, so you shared that.
Down the line of having to explain having a family member who does sex work, yeah, that's
an issue.
I 100% agree that that's something that would affect you.
At this present moment, it's not your problem.
And as someone who just had a baby, you have a lot going on.
I would focus on that.
Of course it's crazy.
You don't see her a lot.
It's not like she's in your everyday life.
It's not like she's in your child's everyday life.
So if people over there want to make their choices, you could take out the OnlyFans and
make this about anything that people do in their personal lives that you might not agree
with or values that they hold that you might not agree with and don't want your kids around.
And I think that boundary of being around family but keeping a safe distance based on
whatever they're doing that you don't agree with is something that can easily be drawn.
I don't even know if you have to talk to your husband about it.
I'm sure the fact that he doesn't want to talk about it means that it's weird with him, too.
It's his sister.
When you said sister-in-law, I wasn't sure if that was your brother's wife or your husband's.
Of course your husband doesn't want to talk about it.
And you making it your issue right now, not the time, save it for a few years down the line,
and she might be done with it.
Actually, I was just watching Trisha Paytas on Jay Shetty, and she was talking about her time on OnlyFans.
And I have to say, I've never heard somebody be so honest.
It was actually quite refreshing.
She said she looks back on that time, and she's disgusted.
We have, as a culture, we've really embraced sex work, and we're not judgmental about it.
It's a legitimate form of revenue.
And sure, but I think a lot of us would never do it and think differently.
And so it was very refreshing for her to be like, I can't sleep at night when I think about it.
I want to vomit.
She explained her reasonings for doing it.
At first, for a lot of people, it's financial.
Then you make so much money.
much money doing it like it's really not even about the money anymore she was like i just had
such low self-esteem and i just felt like this is what the type of work i deserve to be doing
it was really honest and it was also very refreshing like yeah i think we went through
an era where it was like you know deemed inappropriate to like say anything negative
about sex work um but to hear somebody who had done it and like deeply regretted it she was like
if i could send one message to anybody who's even thinking about it like for whatever reasons
financial or emotional like do not do it it was like a warning um some people have to come to that
decision on their own yeah but there also are like different tiers of what people are doing
on only fans yeah yeah this girl could be doing just like kinky pregnant like
shit like yeah like lingerie and just like right you know but then there are people who the female
body full production productions of pornography like to completion i would say those two things
are different i agree so
you
a lot of people do like foot stuff yeah or just like celebrating the female form yeah or like
sexy pics sexy like wow that might even be like appropriate like on instagram but then if you
realize you can get paid for it and you were doing it for free then sure yeah so i don't know this is
just like you gotta use your judgment and you know protect your sphere but it doesn't sound
like it really is encroaching on you at all yeah right now so just like lay it to the side and
pray that it works itself out her kids are going to grow up too and she might just come to the
conclusion on her own or not and then you'll have to have a conversation and yes like your husband
will have to get involved um next ready hi swirlies i never thought i'd be writing into
dear toasters but alas here i am that's the thing dear toasters comes for everyone my boyfriend and
i have been together for five years we have a pretty stable relationship last week he was
taking apart our washing machine to fix a weird noise that it had been making oh handy man well
i don't know what he did but so hard to come by once he fixed the issue he struggled to reassemble
a particular part he asked me to grab my phone to read him instructions from a reddit thread
we've always been comfortable using sharing each other's phones so i really thought nothing of it
i opened reddit i tapped the search bar to find the thread and was absolutely horrified to see
multiple searches in his search history for badly on a budget's only fans content i genuinely froze
he's obviously a toaster of all the things i could have discovered what was it you well of all the
things i could have discovered while helping my boyfriend fix our washing machine this was the
absolute last thing i expected i haven't confronted him about it because i genuinely don't know how to
approach a conversation i also haven't told anyone in my personal life out of fear that it'll
permanently damage their perception of him i haven't told anyone in my personal life out of fear that it'll
permanently damage their perception of him am i overreacting is there any way to rationalize this
is this something i should address or should i pretend i never saw it i love this man but i
genuinely don't know how to look at him in the same way like why is he going to reddit for
bradley on a budget's i think because and i'm i'm actually guessing here um i think people try to
find only fans content without having to pay for it because like when you pay for it you credit card
you should maybe share with your girlfriend maybe people post it i'm just guessing here like
screenshots of what goes down you might have just been curious about what goes down on bradley on a
big bradley fan a budget baddie like i could see you going on reddit like to see what people are
saying about bradley on a budget's only fans and it's not because like you're a consumer of it it's
because i'm just curious the thing is is that you have to ask because it's possible that your man's
gay it's obviously a possibility and that would just save you a lot of time and heartbreak and
if in you know five years you walked in and having sex with a man you would think to yourself well i
did see that probably on a budget thing i wish i just asked a question yeah you gotta ask yeah and
he's entitled to you know his privacy and he's entitled to his privacy and he's entitled to his
privacy when it comes to his sexuality but you don't want to be wasting your time you know you're
a woman of a certain age so you just have to ask i agree and it's a boyfriend it's a boyfriend and
he also like he genuinely could have just been curious yeah no it's like he could have fallen
down the bradley rabbit hole but as you have of like bradley by the way i'm a huge bradley rabbit
hole i've never even thought to go look at his only fans content no like or what people are
saying about it like he might have just gone down an internet rabbit hole right and ended in a gay
place yeah maybe you know and sometimes like you do end up in a gay place and yeah i don't know if
yeah that's where it's like where you might find yourself searching something where it's like oh my
god if anybody saw me searching this they'd get the wrong idea yeah and most normal people delete
their history but so he's not he's not hiding that's true by the way just saying it could be
like you know it could have been a deep internet rabbit hole is all it happens to the best of us
or he wants to see bradley getting down i know you do i know you do i know zach wrote this in
about you you were fixing the washing machine
washing machine we are having a washing machine issue what what did i say um hey jackson claude
i'm truly horrified my in-laws were visiting from out of town today and as they went to leave the
house i realized that they left a phone i picked it up to run it down to them and when i looked at
it i saw google searches with a bunch of naked women's pictures on it i need to emphasize that
i was not snooping i literally noticed it just as like i locked the phone in my father-in-law's
phone just before they left he was feeding my nine-month-old here are my questions do i tell
my husband he looks up to his dad so much and i think this would crush him am i justified in making
a rule that my sons are not allowed to play with or look at my in-laws phones again my two-year-old
loves to watch music videos with his grandpa but now what now i'm feeling like i have to be a psycho
about phones i feel like i have no one to talk to about this okay two-year-old watching music
videos with his grandpa's the weirdest sentence i ever heard and i put it on the tv like no and
also like grandpa came over to play we're not watching music videos i do agree if someone came
over to put on music videos with my two-year-old i would say get out okay that's not meaningful
play that's not meaningful play absolutely and music videos these
days are disgusting now i don't know if your concern is that he was looking at the naked
photos while playing with the kids like maybe they're playing of course the screen was open
but also google doesn't have naked photos on image search that's true but grandpa probably
doesn't know that but so what did she see just like bikini girls i'm not sure
yeah this has to be discussed you also the thing is in this day and age you just have to be careful
who you leave your kids alone with it's so true family or not i'm sorry you see that thing about
the disney roundup
the great disney roundup you can't even trust mickey mouse it's true so yeah you just have like
you've been given some sort of like and but you need to tell your husband so that he knows that
you're being restrictive for a reason not just because you don't want to hang out with his
parents you probably also don't want to hang out with his parents so this is sort of like a win
but sometimes when the grandparents come over it's great it's like oh we get to put kick our feet up
like grandpa's here yeah he's putting on music videos lazy lazy things i could do that yeah right
also um where was grandma deadbeat grandma no you're you're underreacting to this it's disgusting
it's disgusting and like letting your two-year-old play with your phone letting a two-year-old play
with your phone when you have like random proclivities for like google nude searches
like you're sick how about this even without your random proclivities of course you don't
give a two-year-old a phone if you came to play with them people have different philosophies on
phones i agree but you asked for mine you wrote into dear toasters right yes i don't think like
you coming over to play with the kids and just like shoving a phone in their face is helpful
i could do that and get the dishes done like thanks but no thanks and when grandparents come
over it should be like meaningful time meaningful meaningful play so yeah that's just like bad play
yeah and so if you're not of course you're not here to bring meaningful play get the hell out
of my house isolation cabin okay i said good day sir
good day sir
sorry you're going through that but like you know sometimes you need a little bit of like a
like like the lord gives you like little warnings sometimes like yes yes and i know this is a small
a very small example but i have this beautiful bracelet that ben got me for my birthday or no
mother's day it's rubies and diamonds it's like my favorite thing i've ever ever had i was making
the bed like a couple of weeks ago and i saw that the little oh oh the little thing was unlatched
that's weird it must be loose i have to
remind myself
to get it fixed of course i didn't we're getting out of the car we're going to yard house of
course i need my chicken lettuce wraps and it's raining so i'm like oh i'm like getting out of
the car and i run and as i'm running i just sense i can't even see it i sense something on the floor
now it's raining why do i want to stop and turn around but i did my bracelet was on the floor
the lord had given me a warning when i was making the bed and i ignored it and i almost lost my
bracelet now thankfully he gave me a second warning got the bracelet fixed even though i
just saw it's like a little loose again i might have to get it fixed again the lord has given
you a warning do with that information what you will or you know whatever you know statue you
pray to the universe whatever it's not religion i'm not trying to proselytize of course but you've
been given a warning proselytize goji no we don't do that we don't no jews that's like we're
notorious we don't you don't like if you want to join judaism you have to ask three times oh but
no i'm not saying like you need to join judaism
so what are you proselytizing oh find god some of you bitches do need to find god that's
absolutely clear in the submissions that i read um but again i am not your preacher keep doing you
