Breaking news out of the North Pole.
Santa and his elves are swamped with requests for vehicle floor liners.
And although elves are terrific toy makers, their little hammers and chisels
don't come close to the laser-measured fit of a WeatherTech floor liner,
cargo liner, or truck bed impact liner.
Even Santa uses them.
Cookie crumbs, glitter, a reindeer hitching a ride home.
He just hoses them off.
Visit WeatherTech.com for all your holiday shopping today.
It's all Santa approved.
Observe the North American dad.
50s, great polo collection.
He enters his vehicle information on Carvana.
An offer appears in minutes.
Remarkable.
He squints, reads it again, smiles, and says,
Dang, that's a good offer.
The highest form of approval.
No haggling.
No hassle.
No one called him boss.
He's still on the couch.
Astonishing.

Pickup fees may apply.
All right.
We are wrapping season 50.
We have a couple more episodes left for you.
And this one is the exit press.
We have the final five, each bringing their own energy and baggage or lightness.
So sit back, relax, enjoy, or. Or don't enjoy.
Hate watch.
Hate watch.
Fill yourself with tension, animosity, and anxiety.
Either way, we appreciate the views.
Here is your final five.
I also thought it was interesting that nobody really cheered when Aubrey won the car.
There she is.
I cheered when I won the car, Tyson.
Yeah.
The audience didn't.
Did you feel that?
I mean, I think they probably were like,
Oh my God, this girl just won $2 million.
Why are you giving her a car?
That's exactly what I was going to say.
That's exactly what they're saying.
That's what I. On token teams, JT won fan favorite and the show.
And I was like, fuck that, dude.
But then I was like, if I had won and also won, I would have loved it.
So I was like, I know Aubrey's loving it.
I didn't give a shit.
I was running.
So are you keeping the car or do they give you the option?
Do you not know yet?
I don't even know where the car is going.
I don't know how you get it home.
That's not your car.
I think they're. A local dealership is going to get you a car.
Yeah, I got to figure it out.
And we had a conversation last night when we covered the show.
Are you going to leave the stickers on or get the stickers,
the season 50 logos on the doors?
That's so funny because I was like, I want this on the door for sure.
But then I'm like, that's going to be really weird in Cow Hampshire,
just driving around.
Well, my argument is you'll be a target.
Like everywhere you go, people be like, there's the two millionaire.
Let's get her.
Yeah, yeah.
Hell no.
No.
I want to play under the radar.
That's more of my style.
So like it went through my head like this is cool.
And then I'm like, eh, that's not me.
Yeah.
Can I get an 89 Toyota Camry instead?
Yeah, I would like a Ford Edge pickup truck, electric blue.
Not Ford, Toyota.
Toyota.
Oh, Toyota.
Crap.
Toyota Tacoma.
Yeah, the the Billie Eilish Toyota Tacoma limited edition where she does the upholstery
and stuff in it.
Oh, yeah.
I hope Billie likes that better than she liked the boomerang.
Yeah, she will.
You liked the boomerang idol.
I was fine with it.
I had no problem with it.
It worked out for me.
Why?
Why was everyone so upset at that idol in your hands?
But Rizzo got to keep his and everybody like what?
What really was it?
Because it didn't make sense to us.
Like even former public idols that people have known about.
Nobody's given a rat's ass about it.
Why was it such an issue this time?
Yeah, I don't know.
I thought it was Ozzy had one.
Rizzo had one.
They didn't care.
I thought it was a little bizarre.
I'm like, you got to be kidding me.
I wonder if it's because they were locked with three and they I'm not quite sure, Tyson.
I still don't know.
I don't know.
And that's something I think we're going to be turning over for seasons to come.
The big why of it all.
But I mean, it worked out like I had no social equity.
I had to play that thing.
I would have been clowning on them if I didn't.
And so I also like I went out with an idol in my pocket on the edge of extinction.
I wanted that.
I didn't want to have to deal with like the mental aspect of that.
Like I play worse from the top and survivor.
So it's like, hell, get this thing away.
So I don't know why, but I'm just I was like, get this.
Well, I think that you touched on something.
The balance is getting to the top and not having it all crumble at exactly the right timing.
Oh, 100 percent.
Like, I really learned that with Michelle and go wrong.
Like, I felt like the underdog.
I distinctly remember.
I felt like the underdog that game.
I get to the underdog.
And in the end and hell, no, that was not my story.
I was not the underdog.
It was Michelle.
And that's because it was like it's the, you know, it's the waves.
You got to catch the wave at the right moment.
What can we expect from you now?
Because I know we talked about it on the red carpet a lot and you had stepped away from the survivor community.
I'd even DM you to be on the podcast and you were like, I love what you're doing.
You're a real one.
No.
And I was like, OK, are you going to sink back into obscurity?
Are you going to be more?
Are you going to be more present in the community?
Are you?
What is the plan?
Do you have a plan?
I don't have a plan.
Like, my initial inclination is to slink back, take that sticker off the car and slink back into obscurity.
But I don't know.
Tyson, you know, it's like you get you get you're like, oh, I won.
What else can I do?
I'm not sure.
So I don't know yet.
Big question mark.
I have to digest it.
OK.
Yeah.
I mean, there's other shows.
Is other shows a possibility?
Are brand deals what you're seeking?
What is the?
Is it all of it?
None of it's like all of it is open.
I don't know.
I never thought.
I mean, I'd love to be on a loan.
I don't even know if they make that show.
And I don't know.
They make the show still.
You should get on a loan.
Do you speak it into existence?
That's what happens when you have a platform right now after winning is just talk about
alone as much as you can and be like, that's my show.
That's my jam.
I could do that.
Yeah.
I like a lot.
I like million dollar secret.
You know, the thing with the box.
Yeah, that's a good one.
That's very cool.
I like that.
That show.
That's funny.
I like that show.
I mean, everyone talks traders.
I mean, I'm just open.
Like, I don't know.
I haven't even processed the past 12 hours yet.
But you're right.
I mean, it's interesting, too.
I think a lot of people have questions about my game like they still don't.
There's that air of mystery about me where I feel like over the four times I've played
people, Zeke Smith always says people see what they want to see in you.
And it's like always something different.
And I don't know.
I think Survivor 50 is that mystery, too.
We're going to be talking about it for seasons to come.
Are you talking about people as in the other contestants or fans or both?
Or what are you what?
Who are you referring to there?
I'm referring to both in that case.
Like fans will see opposite things in me.
And I think sometimes players like I have very interesting relationships.
I go like this because I'm like, I feel like I'm the scales of a fish in the game.
It's like a different reflection depending on who I'm talking to.
Why do you think that is?
Is that accurate?
Yeah, I think I think I'm a professional chameleon sometimes.
I really do.
I was a small town journalist in my 20s and I've always been like the in between groups person.
So I've always had a shift between groups in my life and I like to move to different parts of the country.
I lived in southern Oregon, L.A., New York, New Hampshire.
I lived all different places because I just like to like go into different groups and like become part of them and then dip out.
Yeah.
No, that's you think that's something that maybe became an advantage for you on the season?
Oh, I really do.
Like.
I mean, when I kept saying I'm like receptive, I'm open, like I genuinely I meant that I was open to every person in this game, including Genevieve, even though people didn't think that I actually started that conversation with her that you see in the premiere.
And I went up to when I said, hey, we're not jiving.
Like, can we talk to one another?
Like, it's a business meeting if it's not personally working.
And I said, I you've probably heard I called you dangerous.
Like, can we work together?
So, yeah, I think it didn't help me there, but it helped me with everybody else.
I think I was able to like.
Get in with the boys or kind of go back to the nerds.
Sure.
So if you could attribute one thing to your arsenal of skills that helped you propel you to victory, what would you say it was like if a kid's like, hey, I want to play survivor like you, Aubrey.
How do I live my life so that I can get that?
What's the one thing or a few things you can give?
Yeah, grounded in yourself and like ability to zoom out and like ability to disassociate.
I think I was able to stay grounded in myself, but like emotionally regulate myself that I could like zoom out to see the bigger picture in the moment.
Emotional regulation.
OK, I like that.
Do you think that this is ever going to because you said it still hasn't still hasn't set in like as you still haven't.
Is it ever going to?
Do you think?
Is it or is this it?
Because I I don't really ever think there was a moment where I was like.
Yeah.
now it set in. I was just like, okay, I guess, I think, I don't know. It felt good. Is there more?
Is there not more? Is this it? Whether my, and it's just, it's, this is your life. This is just
like a little, a little check mark on it. So I'm actually relieved to hear you say that
because I don't ever think we arrive at anything in life. Right. I am very much like a keep going
person. It's my Sagittarius moon for people who like astrology. I'm always like, what's over the
horizon? What am I doing next? I'm just looking forward to whatever's next. Yeah. I have a
platform right now. I am just open to say yes to the experience. It's very much my mentality. And
like you said, like, I mean, I'm just like, this is amazing, but like, I'm so excited for what's
next and I can't wait to see everyone else play survivor. Be a fan. Can you be a fan again now
after winning? Is that, uh, is that going to be easier? Yeah, I can be, it's much easier now.
After winning, I want to see what this open era is all about. I'm like every twist in a single
season. Does someone help these people? Does Jeff get to nickname that yours? I feel like you need
like the bullies. Like I've only received horrible nicknames from people. And those are the only ones
that stuck. Like Jeff can say the open era all he wants, but are the fans going to name it
something different? And should that be the actual name? And, or is, are we going to get pushed out?
Are we going to get strong armed by, uh, by the machine?
Like that's, uh, I'm not sure. Open era had like right. The ring to it. I'm not sure. Yeah. Yeah.
I mean, I could see it evolving and then changing. I'm not sure. I'm not sure on that yet.
What about, uh, there was a lot of discourse and flashback to Michelle's victory over you
and co wrong. Now you won $2 million. Yeah.
Socket to anybody there. Like what is that? I feel extra good. Like what? Yeah. Does the 2 million
feel extra good? Like, ah, yeah, I didn't want the 1 million. Anyways, I was building towards
something greater. I mean, the, I mean, you know what part of me is like, maybe that wasn't my time
so that, you know, I could actually get a full million in a little bit with taxes.
Um, the wind feels sweet. Um, I'm not going to lie. The 2 million feels extra good.
I bet it does. Uh, uh, yeah. Well, they gave you a big check.
Oh, yeah. I'll show you. Yeah. Get it.
That's sick. Oh, Oh, Oh, wow.
That is very cool. I know I got to ship this home.
They stopped giving big checks by when I won and I never got a big check anywhere. I just got
a little check with my rent money taken out of it. So it was a million dollars minus $2,500 for
the, my back rent on that I needed to go on survivor. Yeah.
Amazing. I thought they'd forget about it. And then Jeff was like, he gave me the million dollar
check and he, then he came out. I was like, that's a prop. Cause we have to take out the
money that we advanced you. And I was like, Oh man, it's 2,500 bucks. Yeah. Wow. So funny.
Yeah. So it was less than a million, but then the 10,000 from the finale brought me
still up over a million. So my bank account looked above. So I felt, yeah. Can you imagine
like never actually being above?
It would have felt sad as a winner of survivor. You should at least see.
Deke said, Deke said you have to like zero out the bank account, then put it in. So you see all
the zeros. What's going to be fun is you get to go into your local bank, wherever your bank is.
And everyone there is expecting you to come in and is excited for you to come in. Like my local bank
was like, we were wondering if you were going to come in this, this branch and when you were
going to get here. And then they're like, okay. Also, it's going to take like a week or two to
clear. Cause it's such a big amount of money. We have to, we have to, we have to, we have to,
we have to run some checks everywhere. So hopefully you have some cash stashed away
somewhere to get through that week or two till the two milli clears.
Yeah. Oh, wow. I'm all right. Otherwise I can start a fire in the backyard.
Yeah, that's true. You can, you can. Um, anything else Riley from you?
Well, yeah. Uh, Aubrey, you know,
CoWrong obviously informed so much of what you did this season. You talked so much about how
it focused you on who you needed to sit next to in the final three. I'm wondering,
what experiences from your other seasons that, you know, that, uh, allowed you to win 50?
Yeah. So it was really interesting. I've, I've been saying like, I'm, I was proud of the game
that I played in CoWrong, but I was more proud of myself this time. Cause I played the game that I
needed to play to like meet season 50 where it was. And I did feel elements of game changers,
uh, in survivor 50 for multiple reasons. There was,
like the returning player aspect of it all. As you know, everyone's a hero of their own story,
of their own season. They're really big egos are really big personalities. Like I have that
experience of like, lower your threat level with those people. And sometimes doing less is more
on game changers. I also was how to be like really scrappy. I got on Sandra's bad side,
like off the jump. She's like, I'm not working with you. So that was, that was really tough.
And then I even say like the edge of extinction, like I flopped out super hard,
and my intuition was fried after that season. And I spent like years getting it back. So there
were elements of those games too, that very much were with me in that way.
What do you mean that your, your intuition was fried? Like you couldn't trust your
like reads of people anymore. And how'd you get that back?
Yeah. Yeah. Thank you for asking. I mean, CoWrong, I, I would say I would sit quietly
with people and know if I could work with them or not that, you know, it was like Tyson,
when you're like, your sixth sense just turns on when you're starving. There's like no other
noise in your body you can really tap in. And then when I got blindsided in the edge of extinction,
it was like, I couldn't trust myself anymore. I couldn't trust my gut. I did a lot of intuitive
healing with, um, it was a psychic in Los Angeles named Catherine Schiff. I did intuitive healing
with her. That was like recording to trust yourself again. Yes. And like Ozzy, Ozzy and
I bonded over this stuff. And then unfortunately I had to take him out with that stuff.
So he's got to go see Catherine now.
Yeah. I got to go see Catherine. Yeah. I think I might help him with Catherine. Um,
but I really like Riley, I spent years just trying to like listen to myself and like have confidence
in myself and not what everyone else was saying. I learned not to get an opinion from everyone
anymore. Like whatever, everyone has an opinion. They're like, you know what? So I learned to trust
myself again. I like to just believe the positive things people say about me. Right. And be like,
yeah, that jackass doesn't know what they're talking about. Oh, but this guy says I'm his
favorite of all time.
Yeah. He's got a great read on. Yeah. That guy is really smart. He's very smart. Yeah.
Very cool guy.
Oh my God.
Aubrey.
Yes.
Will you come on season 51? Uh, coverage of the pod has spoken.
Oh my gosh. Yes. I'd love to.
To cover an episode. Yes.
Yes.
You can do it. Okay.
Open arrow. Let's go.
We would love to have you.
You were such a fun group this season. I would love to talk 51 with you.
Thank you so much.
You have such a great dynamic. You get into like different pieces of it. I,
my favorite pod this season.
Oh my God. Thank you so much. And I talked to your parents last night too. And they were also
very complimentary and said how much they were appreciative of our coverage. And that meant a
lot because we, we do try to be fair. Like I have been there. I know how hard it is and it's,
it's, uh, it's not an easy game and it's not easy to deal with the public opinion of what you're
doing out there because they're not seeing the full picture. So, uh, yeah. So we're sending you
all the love here at the pod has spoken a huge, huge, huge congratulations. And, uh, we will be
in touch if you need anything from me. Yeah. If you ever need anything from me, my phone is on
for you. And, uh, and that's it. Yes. Aubrey. Thank you so much.
Thank you. Enjoy the rest of your day. Congratulations. And, uh, yeah. Love to see it.
Thanks for everything. I'll talk to you soon. Bye. Bye. Jonathan.
Hey, my friends. Hey, how are you? We know it was heartbreaking last night and, uh, we didn't get
to talk to you on the red carpet. You left, uh, maybe too emotional or, or whatever. Can you walk
us through, walk us through what happened? Like, were you, did you believe you were winning in
that moment? Cause the season there were spoilers.
There were teasers, but I'd also heard like some jury members never said to anybody who they voted
for. There's all this discourse. Were you hoping to win? What was the, what was the heaviness that
caused you to exit early off the red carpet last night? Well, I saw you once. I didn't want to see
you three times. Three is too many for me. I'll see you twice. I thought I'd do enough for us
today. So, um, yeah, I mean, it's,
it's heavy. Yeah. Yeah. It's, it's heavy going through a loss like that. But at the same time,
um, I, I had a good idea that I wasn't going to win when the ball dropped, when Joe and I didn't
beat her in some motion. Okay. So that's, that's when it really kicked in for me was that the game
was kind of over then because I knew I had to, I said it at the beginning of the episode,
I had to get out Tiffany and I had to get out Aubrey or I probably wasn't going to win.
And. Even knowing that, what percentage of your brain
would you say last night was still hopeful
that the votes would come out of your favor?
10%?
10% because Devins, Christian, and Emily
did not tell me who they voted for.
And I thought Devins respected my game more than that.
And that one threw me.
And I thought if Devins votes for me,
then that means that they might all vote together.
And then I went down this rabbit trail
because the producers even told me
after I told them, I said, it's over, it's a motion.
I know Aubrey's got friends in the jury.
I know.
It didn't matter necessarily how I played at that point
because I think that she had a good relationship
with most of them.
That's the good part about playing in the middle
is if you don't have your hand on the vote,
then you can't make anybody mad.
So that's one of the. So yeah, they told me to keep hope.
And I did.
I did.
Yeah.
I mean, I think you needed to,
but it makes it more heartbreaking
because we talked to Joe and he was just like,
I knew I was dead in the water.
The second I got to the jury
and the way they looked at me
and how they really were dismissive of my answers
and didn't. He's like, I knew I was dead.
He's like, I. And so he was like,
so I've known for a year that I'm definitely not winning.
I've known that whole time.
I've come to terms with it.
But I assume in your position,
it's so much, even that 10%,
it's like an eclipse,
watching a solar eclipse
and 98%.
10% of the sun is out
and it still feels like a full sun.
That 10% that you're holding onto
is still so great
that you're hoping for this $2 million
that it's still like. Listeners will think, oh, 10%.
Okay, so 90%.
No.
It is still such a huge amount of your soul
that is hoping to get that.
Oh, dude.
I cried my eyes out.
I'll be honest with you.
That was one of the hardest nights of my life
because I did. I mean, I changed my game.
I thought about every day,
Mr. Tyson, for four years.
That was a big deal to me.
And I just. You know, if Sari can rally the troops
and have four people talking to her at one time,
saying, hey, this is who we're going to vote for,
and they all go, yes, okay,
we were going to go this way,
but you decided to go the other way
because just because what she said,
you don't think that's happening at Ponderosa?
Mm-hmm.
I'm just saying.
It is.
It for sure is.
That's a discourse we've had on the podcast a lot of times
is my professional opinion,
each individual juror should be sequestered alone.
Well, it's not just your opinion, Mr. Tyson.
I think that's 100% the case
because if you don't do that,
then don't call it a jury.
Yeah.
Don't call it a jury
if it's going to be everybody gets together
and everybody becomes more and more bitter
the more you talk
because you've gone through the. Then it's not even a jury.
So I just, you know,
that's a lot.
It's a lot.
I mean, technically,
that's how juries work
is they do deliberate,
but in the game of Survivor,
I believe,
I think that whoever's the most recently eliminated,
you can have everyone at Ponderosa
hear their story as they come in
and then that's all they get.
And then the next person eliminated,
you can all gather for dinner
and listen to the one person
that came into Ponderosa that night
and you get to listen to them.
You get to listen to them
for two hours or whatever.
That way they get to vent.
You get to hear what happened in the game
from their perspective.
And then from there,
because we saw that,
but we also saw people fighting for you.
I mean, only one person got called
the total package seven times.
That's right.
Is that a small victory?
My wrestling name is the total package.
Oh, that makes sense.
My mentor is Lex Luger
and he used to be the total package.
So he gave me his. He dumped me the new total package.
Did Stephanie know that?
No, I don't even think she knew that.
Wow.
Such a fitting name then.
Your wrestling name is so fitting.
If Stephanie just off the top of her head
decided to call you that
an absurd amount of times
in a single episode.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Do you think the way Chrissy and Stephanie
approached the jury
actually hurt you in the end?
No, sir.
I think that it didn't help or hurt.
Everybody had their minds.
They already were set.
Absolutely.
You think that. Yeah.
No.
No.
They knew who they were going to vote for.
And they. I mean, dude,
I probably could have called it.
I probably could have called
who was going to vote where.
But yeah, it broke. The thing is,
I got to go back and watch this
because the first time I played,
I watched season 42
and I saw a lot of holes in my game.
Season 50,
I got to really watch
because I'm still trying to figure out
what to learn
and where to grow from this.
I mean,
I just got to ask God
to kind of guide me in this
because this has been. This has been a lot.
Yeah.
Well, Jonathan,
I mean, we still have time,
but I do want to just touch on that
is that
you are still so young.
There's still so much life.
Like, learn
how to grow from this.
Like, it's. Like,
I know it's. You were so close.
And to get this close,
it's like
a no-name quarterback
getting to the. Not that you're no-name,
but a no-name quarterback
getting to the Super Bowl
and getting beat
in the last minute of the game
and knowing
how hard it's going to be
to get back to the Super Bowl.
That's what I want to say.
Like, getting through
24 contestants
to get to the end
to fight for. For $2 million.
And a car.
And a car.
And a car.
And a car.
Should they have given the car
to the runner-up?
I think so.
Oh, dude, you tell me.
$2 million.
And, you know what?
This time,
we're going to give it
to the winner
so we can break the curse.
Is that really breaking the curse?
No, it's not.
We'll find out.
We'll find out next season.
But the thing is,
is that. Yeah.
And I've said this already
three times
in the last two days.
In the last two days.
JT won token jeans
and he also won fan favorite.
So he got $1.1 million.
And I thought
that was some bullshit too.
You know?
I was like, come on.
But everybody loved JT so much
that the audience
went berserk-o for it.
They were like,
he deserves everything.
And Aubrey,
the audience kind of did
fall flat
when they awarded her the car.
It was just like,
oh, she just won $2 million.
Amazing.
Everybody goes crazy.
But then when they're like,
and here's the car,
like, it was not the same applause.
Like, I do believe
putting the car on the table
or putting the car somewhere else
would have,
the audience would have loved that more.
Oh, for sure.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think you're right.
So.
I have a question for Jonathan.
I,
I think that you're like
a really great player.
And I feel really,
I feel really somber
about this entire situation.
I can see it on your face
that it hurt
more than we can know.
And I just want you to know
that you are,
you are a really good player.
And I feel like
you are trying to think
over every single mistake
that you've made.
That you've ever made
on season 50,
which is definitely not helpful
for your mental health.
You did as much as you could.
And you're amazing at the worm.
And I think you're just like
a cool guy.
And actually,
I don't have a question.
I just wanted to let you know
that you are a cool guy.
I'm pulling a Stephanie right now.
So I just, yeah.
Thank you.
That means a lot.
I am doing that.
I'm going over everything
that I could have changed.
And then sometimes I think
there aren't things
that you can change
and you just have to deal with.
Yeah.
Like,
that's just part of the game,
part of life.
Yeah.
And knowing all of that
and being where you are right now
and how torture,
torturing it is.
Mm-hmm.
You still happy
you signed up for Survivor?
Oh, man.
I would go tomorrow.
I would play as many times
as Mr. Jeff called.
Yeah.
What did you win?
What did I win?
Third season.
Third season.
I won my third season.
So three times?
Second season was
one of the dumbest moves
in the history of Survivor.
Mm-hmm.
And I got harassed.
On Heroes vs. Villains?
On Heroes vs. Villains.
I got harassed nonstop.
Not only did it,
was it dumb,
and the fans all called it dumb,
but it also hurt
Boston Rob's game,
which made them extra angry.
Mm-hmm.
And I had to sit with that
and wrestle with that
and deal with that.
And I still deal with it.
Like, winning definitely did soften
a lot of those feelings,
but those are some
scars and wounds
that I still carry with me.
You're gonna,
that's just like,
now you have these
and you're not gonna get rid of them
all the way.
You just have to come to terms with them
and find your own
individual piece with it.
Mm-hmm.
So you still think about it?
I do.
I still get reminded about it.
I still think about it.
I still think about things
I could have done on token chains.
I still think about things
that I thought were unfair
in certain moments.
I still think about, like,
that's the thing.
And I'm one of the fortunate ones.
Like, I'm one of the fortunate ones.
I'm one of the most fortunate
Survivor contestants of all time.
And I still
get in my own head
about stuff that could have been.
Winners at war,
I was six inches from winning
the second playback challenge.
I was in the lead
with the second ball
and I just needed to drop it
to get back in the game
with an idol.
I would have been sitting
where Natalie was.
And that's,
yeah, that's what, like,
I respect your game
and,
Mr. Tyson, I do think you are a good person
winner and i think you're intelligent what what what do you see that i can change what should i
do no is there is there certain things about me that i can i don't know i think that you
you recognized who could beat you in the end and you knew that you needed to get rid of them and
you didn't and you couldn't and that's the thing like i don't think that that's not a flaw that's
like you needed to get aubrey out and you didn't because you couldn't because she won that thing
like that's it's not your fault that's just the way it goes like you were aware enough to know
that she was going to beat you in the end and so and like the and if you go down the line go go
from aubrey tiffany i can't bring her to the end correct and go to sari are you kidding me yeah
yeah no never no one and then down the line again rick yeah no yeah ozzy no like dude go down the
line i had everything set up there was not one person yeah because
yeah
i mean everybody has that story and then you start to think well is the story from five
seasons ago is that supposed to be or she played four times yeah like do you put that into their
game are you supposed to even like are you supposed to add that i guess that's up to the
fan and the jury to decide do you keep building their story until you've played five times and
then you're graced with the win or like i think that's part of the game i think partly i think
partly yeah like because the scars you're feeling that when's you're feeling now that you're not
feeling now that you're feeling now that you're feeling now that you're not feeling that will be scars
feeling that will be scars if you play again those will be a part of your story and i do
if you play again those will be a part of your story and i do believe the jury will respect
believe the jury will respect because they also understand the anguish and torture the self-anguish
because they also understand the anguish and torture the self-anguish and self-torture you've
and self-torture you've gone through the last four years now however many more years till you
gone through the last four years now however many more years till you are on the island again that
are on the island again that also i believe does come into play when you're on a jury of a
also i believe does come into play when you're on a jury of a returning season yeah but i also like you
are on a jury of a returning season yeah but i also like you said that like you go down the line
said that like you go down the line you recognized all that and you get to a point in that game where
you recognized all that and you get to a point in that game where you're a little bit painted into a
you're a little bit painted into a corner like we don't have enough tribal councils to get everybody
corner like we don't have enough tribal councils to get everybody that we need gone that is a threat
that we need gone that is a threat to our game like there never is that's the balance of survivors
to our game like there never is that's the balance of survivors like who should we get this week that
like who should we get this week that we can then get someone else next week so that we can get the
we can then get someone else next week so that we can get the group i need to be at the end together
group i need to be at the end together and that's well that out you're right but that was
and that's well that out you're right but that was i i got to the point where i found out
i i got to the point where i found out that if i took joe and rezo i could have won and dude and
that if i took joe and rezo i could have won and dude and then i got i mean how many times
then i got i mean how many times that stupid sumotion game that was the same one that i went
that stupid sumotion game that was the same one that i went out in season 42 with yeah and fire
out in season 42 with yeah and fire making like it went like that same at least i didn't lose in
making like it went like that same at least i didn't lose in fire amen yeah no that's a real
fire amen yeah no that's a real torture i i believe we are going to talk to rizzo soon
torture i i believe we are going to talk to rizzo soon here but against rizzo oh my gosh yeah that
here but against rizzo oh my gosh yeah that
here but against rizzo oh my gosh yeah that would have been crazy
there was a part of me watching the
there was a part of me watching the
there was a part of me watching the episode as he was getting it and it
episode as he was getting it and it
episode as he was getting it and it showed you getting a little nervous where
showed you getting a little nervous where
showed you getting a little nervous where i was like oh no this is gonna happen
i was like oh no this is gonna happen
i was like oh no this is gonna happen and i was like that was either one of
and i was like that was either one of
and i was like that was either one of them yeah and i was like either one of
them yeah and i was like that was either one of
them yeah and i was like that was either one of them it's going to be devastating
them it's going to be devastating
them it's going to be devastating whoever loses in fire here is just going
whoever loses in fire here is just going
whoever loses in fire here is just going to be tortured did you vote for fire as
to be tortured did you vote for fire as
to be tortured did you vote for fire as a fan did you
a fan did you
a fan did you oh dude no i i i did not want to do fire
oh dude no i i i did not want to do fire
oh dude no i i i did not want to do fire that
that
that i didn't know how scarred i was until i
i didn't know how scarred i was until i
i didn't know how scarred i was until i got to fire making yeah and then i and
And then I started watching Rizzo
and I was like, okay, I'm okay.
And then Joe taught him how to do it.
And I'm not kidding.
It was one strike and he had a flame.
Yeah.
And I was like, good Lord, here we go again.
And it came down to me just going like,
if God wants me to win, then I will
because I had done my homework.
I did.
I mean, bro, it's like Survivor.
It's the lucky spark sometimes.
And that's the way it feels fire making.
Well, Jonathan, that's all the time we have right now.
You've got a busy day.
I know you started early.
We're sending love from the pot as spoken.
We loved watching you this season.
Those wounds will heal and they will take time to heal
and they won't fully be gone.
But like, you've got other stuff coming up.
You're going to be fine.
Thank you, my friend.
What I told myself at your age
when I lost Survivor two times in a row was,
if I had a million dollars at this age,
I'd probably ruin my life anyways.
So maybe it's, speaking of God,
maybe God is,
maybe it's not your time yet.
Well, bro, I was going to build a ranch
for kids and women down in Honduras.
So I wasn't going to be like
blowing it on gambling or anything, but.
There'll be another one.
And you know, that question wasn't asked.
There'll be another time.
That's fine.
Yes.
Okay.
Much love, Jonathan.
Enjoy the rest of the day.
Bye, guys.
Love to see you.
Thank you so much.
Let me know if you ever need anything.
Thank you, Jonathan.
See ya.
I will.
Thank you.
Well, hey.
Hi.
It's us, Jonathan.
Oh, my gosh.
Hi.
It's so official.
Yeah.
Do you like that?
You know what?
This is our first time.
You know, that's right.
When you've made it in life
is when you see your face, my friend.
Right there, dead center, looking at me.
Thank you.
That's when you've made it.
Thanks, Joe.
That's right.
Joe, I talked to you multiple times
last night on the red carpet.
And I know.
Yep.
And we can see it on your face now.
You're at peace with what happened.
You're happy.
You're excited for your new adventure.
You have a lot of stuff going on.
And I don't think we need to harp on that anymore.
So we're going to shift gears a little bit here.
Do it.
The live finale.
What did it feel like?
You're a Survivor fan.
Being a part of the live finale the first time in 11 seasons.
Was it everything you expected?
Was it different?
What did you not expect?
What stood out to you?
Tell us all about it.
You know what, buddy?
That's a great question because the fan in me is like,
man, it's electric to be a part of any energy in a public setting.
You get a couple hundred people in a room as an athlete,
as a competitor, you know this.
Man, there's something about that that changes the dynamic.
And what's great for me is you also get to see other Survivor players
who might be these beasts, but then they get to perform in front of a live audience, right?
When you perform in front of people, then you get to see that even change with them.
Like, wow, this person's kind of, you know, we're just kind of fans now watching it.
So that was awesome.
But it was really cool.
And seeing, kind of feeling like you're a part of history,
like people like yourself and other greats that have played.
It was cool to kind of sit there and go, wow, man, like,
regardless of what they say, this is cool to witness it.
But you know what the most awesome part is?
It's like behind, you know, back behind stage, right?
You're sitting there watching it on the TV with fellow competitors.
It's so awkward because you can hear a pin drop.
It's kind of like watching someone go, like, you hit him with the,
like, water balloon, but over the fence.
And they were like, who did it?
And you're all, they're watching the, like, I'm like, oh, my bad.
But there's no, like, ba-dum-bum.
You're just sitting there.
Yeah.
And what moment specifically?
What moment specifically last night?
You know, it starts off with Tiffany.
And the whole just dynamic of the, and you don't know how that's going to go.
And it's like, ooh, like, for all of us, her, me, everybody involved,
whether you did something wrong, right, whatever,
it's just watching.
It's just watching the train wreck unfold for all of us
with the people that are involved with no warning.
Right.
So that's the back stage, right?
So you get this shift.
So overall, man, it was a great experience, but it was emotional.
Mm-hmm.
Flat out.
Yeah.
I think, did it make it more emotional because of the audience,
because it was live, because you were all together
versus being at a watch party at home somewhere or something like that?
I think it made it.
It made it emotional, my brother, because of the powerhouses in the room.
I mean, you're not playing with first-time players, like, to where it's like,
we're both in this journey and everybody's figuring us out.
I mean, let's be real.
I mean, these are some of the bigger names in the game.
You know, Sari, we can go down the list.
And you're sitting there with them on top of it.
So there's this weight in the room.
You have the weight of the audience and their reaction to them, right?
You have the weight of the pressure of now our relationships kind of unwinding
and offloading.
And also interlocking, right, as we watch it.
And then you have the reaction of your loved ones
who are seeing it with the weight of other people watching them watch it.
Yeah.
So when you put that all on a pressure cooker for the pot,
which you know, but you don't know, is a surreal feeling.
And it's all being judged in real time, right?
So that's kind of, that's what made it complicated.
It wasn't just randoms, right?
It's like, oh, wow, this is so-and-so, this is so-and-so.
And we're sitting in the same room and watching their reactions.
Some feeling like it's their last time.
Others feeling like they've been robbed.
And others feeling like it's the start of something new.
That's a trip to see in one room, right?
From Rizzo to Seri to Ozzy to Colby to Coach.
That's kind of a trip.
Yeah.
Interesting.
Yeah.
No, I get it.
You've done, you did a season a couple of years ago,
and they didn't have a live finale.
And now that you've experienced both, which do you prefer and why?
Well, live, without a doubt, for that same rush.
You know, as a competitor, there's nothing like,
we can all say what we would do, right?
On a show that's taped, which seems like an intimate setting.
Yeah.
Because you don't see the audience.
I'm telling you right now, there's nothing like hearing the crowd,
seeing the crowd, and then being asked to perform.
Meaning you're still on stage, asking questions,
watching yourself in front of people,
Man, I wish everyone can experience that.
See, I really do.
like i wish people could experience just hearing people even boo you yeah they're i'm telling you
it's it's an it's it's an experience in life that motivates you either way you get a thousand people
try to try to speak in front of a thousand people right live it's different than behind a screen so
i i i think they should do everyone that way i feel it adds an element and i think the crowd
feeds off of it too yeah i feel it adds to the game man i think we should keep it going i love
it we talked about it last night and we said it's like watching a blockbuster that everybody's been
waiting to see for years or for you know you've heard rumors of it and then you've heard from
critics how amazing the film is and then you get in at the first showing on opening night
and that is the feeling that you're getting from the audience is everybody reacting which just adds
an energy to it which riley's idea was should they be
strong
screening survivor in theaters every episode is that a thing that should be happening because
i do believe watching it like that is it's electric it's such a different feel and it is
it's like yeah when you want to cheer at home watching it on tv those are the moments that
the audience is losing their shit and you get to be in that group and you get to lose your shit too
because it's not by yourself in your living room
mm-hmm
straight up you know i had the great opportunity long story short of imax theater event that i was
able to do for one of the watch parties and man that was amazing imax like yes and it's also like
you get to see yourself fail epically right but it's so true because i went in there and i was
like wow look how ugly i am that big they shouldn't do hd yeah i've i mean that's gnarly
but you're right man there's something about the crowd it's the energy of the crowd it's the energy
of the crowd yeah yeah yeah i agree um watching it in that back room you said you know you were
there was was there tension was did anything anybody get upset back there no i mean listen
you know you know there's what what's great with vets is there's that
there's the tension we don't talk about yeah i'm fine you're i'm fine i'm fine
well you're fine i'm fine yeah i'm really fine if you're really fine it's that that's
that okay we're not going to talk about it um let's be real i think what's going on back there
is you have players that like colby who rode a motorcycle in right yes to a live finale
to a jenna who was on the first to a rizzo who just played and saying riz got right yeah let's
just like there it is right and then you have coach and ozzy of all the things and then what's
going on i think is each player that's a veteran
um
is going like they're not in the final three i'm just saying you know the ones that aren't
and they're going you can see the clock like i should have done this i know better or this new
generation old generation we don't talk about that this many days versus that many days it's
a real thing these challenges versus those challenges and and the bubbling of i haven't
played in 10 years i mean you're right that's real shit that's the thing that i go listen that's what's
going on back there is like okay so i played a year that's different than someone that's been
waiting 10 or waiting for so for me that tension back there is what's building and there's some
people that want to pop off yeah straight up you got hammers back there you can't no well i think
now because no one wants to be canceled yeah i think be pre-instagram and like anyone going
i'm gonna tweet it look what joe's doing yeah back in the day you could get a good middle
finger that's like you know what whereas middle finger's not gonna get you canceled
true but that followed by the right words yeah well yeah i think that there is a fear
now of you also are super exposed and some have an image yeah i do believe that yeah yeah i don't
disagree i think you got to be on your best behavior because even you know survivor even
though it's emotional and you do have those feelings of animosity there's like a balance to
like showing that you're upset but also like containing yourself enough that people aren't like
that guy's an asshole he's entitled brat um joe we uh have to cut the call now because you are so
busy and we've been told that this is all the time we have but uh we'd love to have you on as a guest
on the podcast next season yes uh if you have time for us and i will come on i'll make it okay and i
love you guys i gotta tell you this before even though we're getting cut on time is that um you
know from the bottom of my heart like honestly and i told you this before um you know when you
but these moments i know that i may never get a chance to play again and just it's an honor to be
here to talk about it with you buddy and i respect what you do and i respect all of you and and i i
really do just say i mean it like thank you for i know i'm not you know perfect but thank you guys
for the way you analyze the game and that what you bring so i appreciate you man i really do
thanks for what you brought to this season joe yeah i appreciate you too joe much love
good luck with the rest of the day thank you thanks man

here he is hey where's god the man
what is going on hey the man the myth the legend whose nickname is like 15 syllables longer than
his real name insane insane that you could do that it's true rizzo how you doing this morning

grew up watching like you and all the ethans on tina wesson while playing with all the people i

So I feel like $2 million without the check.
Okay.
Okay.
So if you had the check as well, was that $4 million?
That's a $4 million feeling?
Yeah, probably.
It's not no fucking. Sorry.
Excuse my language.
No, you can say it.
It's not a Land Cruiser and a $2 million check.
Okay, cool.
Okay.
Shouldn't the car have gone somewhere else?
Who should have gotten the car?
I don't know.
I mean, that's Aubrey's choice to make,
but I think Toyota would have loved giving it to the RIZGOD.
I would have loved a new car, but it's all right.
Maybe Survivor 75.
Survivor 75.
Had you gotten to the end with your trio of Joe and Jonathan,
you winning that or is it a battle?
Yeah.
As somebody that's very confident and cocky,
I would have to say yes.
But honestly, I think it'd be a good fight,
but I think my best winning prospect is against those two guys.
Sure.
I think going into it, it's a good battle.
I think Jonathan has four locked votes
and coach Chrissy, Stephanie, and Ozzy,
because Ozzy's not the big RIZGOD fan, as you guys know.
And then I would have four locked votes
and Seri, Dee, Tiffany, and I feel like Aubrey.
And then I feel like the Rick, Christian, and Emily
are kind of up for grabs.
But I feel like those three like the game
through my lens and my perspective.
And if I'm able to articulate my game,
I think I have a really good shot.
So I would say that's my best shot at winning.
What about going to the end with Aubrey?
Because she's recognized you as like having a similar underdog story.
Is that a battle or is she a clear victor there?
Yeah, I think she, you know, sweeps the jury with me.
I think maybe I get one or two pity votes
because Dee loves me and doesn't want me to get third place or whatever.
But ultimately, I knew Aubrey's story resonated with a lot of people.
And the way that I looked at my trio with Joe, Jonathan, and I,
as I think we all had flaws in our own ways.
And while I don't think Aubrey played this like masterful game,
she was able to sell her Survivor legacy.
And that's a big reason why I voted for her
is because 10 years ago, almost to the day,
she just fell short in losing CoWrong.
And she was able to pitch why this win would be great for Survivor 50.
And I think she did a great job and hence why she won.
Speaking of Aubrey and you in a hypothetical finale,
Riley had an amazing strategic idea for you.
I think it was a really good idea for you with the idol
that he was wondering if had crossed your mind.
Did you consider not playing the idol?
idol yeah and keeping it for a final tribal council and using it as a like hey aubrey said
that it was a scarlet letter but here i am showing that a public idol is actually a huge asset
so that that did cross my mind because in 49 i was actually not going to play it because i wanted to
do that i wanted to pull the marianne yeah but ultimately i felt like you know what i feel like
i'm already coming off too cocky doing that probably isn't the best look and then on 50
the you know i didn't think about it too hard because i already was trying to course correct
um being too abrasive and too like showboaty on 49 which is super bullshit by the way because
everybody's saying oh rizzo rizzo is so cocky on 49 but rick devins does all these cool tricks on
50 and everybody's eating it up so it's like what's wrong with me
you
and i do it and everybody cries about it what is it what is it tell us what it is why what's your
theory what's your theory about why rick can do it and you're not allowed to think i'm the new kid
i think i'm just the new kid on the block and i present myself as very confident and for them who
have no idea how i played right all they knew about was the result and i called myself riz god
it's something to see somebody play survivor and just hear about it because you hear fourth place
and you're like all right whatever like god i was gonna throw somebody under the bus that played
fourth place but didn't play well um who's somebody that's
i don't care about in the survivor alumni
it's a fourth place that you care about that you thought didn't play well well
i'm gonna retract that okay wow but what i was what i was saying is that
these people um didn't know how well i played and how i was able to maneuver boats on fit or 49 so
on 50 whenever i would tell people things they're like yeah this guy's full of shit so they didn't
give me the credit for it i was like oh my god i'm gonna do this i'm gonna do this i'm gonna do this
what i will say now is i feel like after season 50 a lot of my cast have come up to me and said
rizzo you played so great you should be super super proud sorry we didn't give you the credit
that you probably deserve um so i'm happy in that at least that they uh recognize that i know ball
okay rizzo when did you find out that your idol came from genevieve oh man so it's so funny
post-season like 100 certain facts until i like the finale wrapped up right so it's so funny
because i had a feeling that genevieve sent me the idol i said it to sari back in the sila days
because it just made the most sense what we didn't see in the season was me and genevieve were super
super close on the island and she gave me the idol because she wanted to blindside it or blindside me
with it which she probably would have so i love genevieve but it was probably a good thing that
she went out for me um but i thought once genevieve said to me she didn't set it to me i was like okay
then it's probably aubrey and i always felt weird that aubrey never targeted me i was like don't you
want this i don't want this i don't want this i don't want this
so rick actually brings up something at final tribal where he says do you always tell people
secrets or like do you ever kept a secret to yourself and it was the jury kind of asking to
see if aubrey would fess up to knowing if she gave me the idol but she didn't kind of pick up on that
so once the season wrapped up matt van wagen like the producers were like yeah genevieve sent that
to you and i was like of course she did wow yeah that's crazy that nobody else knew that's
state secret state secret um we had season the whole season we had a lot of discourse last night
about riz god 3.0 coming back to survivor do you think you would have a better chance of winning
this game if you played next year or if you played in 10 years oh good question um i will say this i
feel very confident in my abilities to play this game i think i was very meadow when i played
survivor 49 like i was thinking like how would the fans perceive my game
and i think going into it i actually felt that people would underestimate my game and say oh i
got lucky there's no way you can do what you did with returning players and i came back nine days
later and did the exact same thing against returning players so put me out there as a captain
put me out there as a single person with all newbies or put me in there and all returnees i
feel confident that i can do well again i think my biggest problem was people didn't respect how
well i played now you watch me and
see the magic that i can run i think if i make the end next year 10 years from now 65 year old
grandpa riz god i think i can win the game but i don't know i don't really believe in like you know
being overexposed i think if you're good you're good i mean sari's played six times in 20 years
and she's made it to the end four or five times so if you're good enough you can do it yeah well
then there's the argument of are you a lowercase goat and people just don't care to and they can
let you escape by i'm not saying that's sari but there are people
you can do it you can do it you can do it you can do it
i mean yeah joe joe lost his season he loses uh again with almost zero votes one vote last time
like so if you're constantly getting fourth is there a part of you that's like which goat am i
no lowercase that's that's very true no you have a great point and i think that's some of the
discourse that whether your podcast had it or a lot of the fans were saying is like am i skating
by because i'm a goat to the end or am i skating by because i know where the votes are going i lean a little
bit that i was very well insulated i mean both seasons the reason why i was so successful is
because i had great allies it's like when you play pickleball tyson do you want to play pickleball
with a beginner or with a pro you team up with yourself with people that know how to play
pickleball and i want to play what i want to play against people but i want to play against people
that are are chumps right exactly exactly yeah um but i think for me well all right i'll tell you
what i think i'll tell you what i think yes
i think you navigate the game very well and you're very strong socially i i believe that you are a
great player i also think because people don't respect that that you're that talented they give
you a little bit more wiggle room because they're not threatened by you whether it's because you
skew youthful whether because you are young because you are a little funnier and sicker
out there something so i think it's a combination of both and i don't know if you're doing it on
purpose or if it's just like your natural talents mixed with the way people uh perceive you i think
that that works for you that's why i think like is 65 year old rizzo gonna be able to have that
same like lessened threat level because of his personality yeah no it's it's true i think you
make a good point i kind of look like at my journey in a sense almost to your journey tyson because
we look at tyson on token
jeans and he's very very snarky he's very funny and he's very brash and you look at yourself in
heroes versus villains and obviously you make a mistake what happens but you come back in 3.0 and
you really dominate the game and i feel like i you're very similar in ways in heroes villains
and token jeans in terms of like the way you look at the game and i felt like 49 and 50 for me i was
the same way i was very confident in myself i had that blind confidence that ultimately end up
working and because i present as this goofy guy people didn't realize how much agency i truly had
in this game and i was like okay i'm gonna do this and i'm gonna do this and i'm gonna do this and
the game and i think coming back a third time if i can you know tune in being a better challenge
competitor maybe winning fire when it mattered that it can do me justice i will say i think i
had a really good shot at winning survivor 49 had i beat savannah 50 i was kind of a dead man
walking but i really gave myself the best shot at winning at the end game had i been there with
joe and jonathan so ultimately i have my head held high because i am one of four players to
play survivor more than once to never be voted out um so it's a badge of honor i would say
proudly i think you should did you vote for fire thank you tyson yeah uh no absolutely not
what's funny is that if it was a vote i think i survived the vote but i that's not a good thing
people would have wanted to keep me and joe in the game so um that's why i didn't want fire
yeah okay i voted for no fire and uh
did you vote for no fire i voted for no fire i can't remember anything that i voted for well
we tried rizzo we tried we tried our hardest to to light the fire for you um what kind of weight
are you going to carry do you think in the future with losing at fire two times is that like because
for me i again last night we covered the podcast and i thought if i'm on a season with rizzo i'm
doing everything in my power to get him to fire again because it's just comedy like that cinema
is just like i'm
dragging you to four i'm doing what i'm falling on the sword to get you to four if i gotta get
you to four to see you in fire again like francesa is going out first and you're getting to fire
yep i i would love that i feel like you know for me once aubrey won final immunity it wasn't even
about winning fire to have a shot at winning the game because i knew i wasn't going to win
against aubrey but it was about me reversing my curse and i think what better way to have a good
send-off tyson than actually you winning the final
form unity and sacrificing the necklace so i can beat you in fire on survivor 60 i think that would
be cinema because you would then welcome me to the winner circle you go into the jury and preach why
i should win i think it would be a full circle moment and then we're gonna get the token sheens
band back together you're gonna call jt out of retirement we're gonna do winners at war survivor
100 and then just end the show okay that's it survivor 100 and then we're done and we're on it
together uh rizzo that's all the time we have uh we've loved
watching you the last two seasons and uh hope that uh we've done you justice on the pod here
we try to be fair and honest
and have fun with it and send love and be empathetic.
And if not, you can put your complaints
in the complaint box, her DMs.
Yeah, I'll read them.
Yeah, absolutely.
I just want to say thank you.
Very similar to Colby, very earlier in the season
where Colby's like, hey, brother,
I love your podcast, great stuff.
I just want to pass on that same sentiment.
Hopefully I do Survivor 51, 52
or be on coverage with you guys.
Love you guys.
Yes, we're going to have you on next season for sure, Rizzo.
Thank you, Rizzo.
Much love.
Enjoy the day.
GG, Rizzo.
Yeah, we'll talk soon.
Thank you guys.
Thank you so much.
Talk soon, guys.
Bye.
I'm going.
There she is.
Tiffany.
Hey, guys.
Hi.
Tiff, how are you?
How are you feeling after sleeping it off?
Oh, I didn't sleep.
But I feel great.
You didn't sleep?
I did not sleep at all.
No, I got home from the party at like 1
and I had a 4 a.m. call time.
I like did one of these.
I was like, all right, time to go back out.
Oh, man.
Wow.
Well, I didn't sleep either.
I don't know if you know this about me.
I'm an extrovert.
So all the energy that was at that live finale,
I absorb all of it from every human.
I'm like a leech just sucking the life force
from everybody else who has to expend energy to be social.
And then at the end, like I literally,
I laid down for like two hours and was just like,
I have to take a cold shower because I cannot sleep.
And it helped a little bit.
But we're very happy you're here.
You look, you look happy.
I'm so happy.
Okay.
I am as happy as you can be after losing $2 million.
What do you think that will look like for you in the future?
Two years from now,
are you going to still be ruminating about that $2 million
every time you go to walk past a Bugatti dealership?
Just like what could have been?
Oh, God.
I can assure you that $2 million would not be spent on a Bugatti.
But no, I'm not even ruminating now, you know?
I know a rumination.
This rumination was me after season 46.
Rumination is going to the idling air pocket.
This time, no.
I think I played a great game.
And I think I did what I needed to do on all fronts.
The only thing I could have done better was just pull it out on the clutch.
And sometimes you lose, but I don't feel regrets this time around.
Good.
Yeah.
I don't think like you were in a good position where you're the main target.
You fought like hell.
Mm-hmm.
You got through a couple rounds being the target.
And you almost got through that last round again.
Like there's, it's like, that's a good exit.
Like it's a good exit to still be mentally and emotionally sound,
which doesn't happen to everybody that exits Survivor.
So I think like hell of a run.
We loved watching you.
Thank you.
Winner pick from day one.
I'm like.
I don't know.
I don't know if anybody else got that far.
Like you look at like the CNN or the ESPN bracket from college basketball
and nobody gets it right after day two.
Like this is like, it's very rare.
I felt it.
I felt it.
Sure, there's Survivor pools where they're rolling dice to see who they get in their pool.
But that's not the same as picking someone.
And so.
Yeah.
Ashley also kind of a winner.
And Ashley, you shouldn't feel bad either.
That Tiffany didn't get.
No, I'm pissed.
I'm still pissed.
I'm still not happy about it.
I received that.
Wait.
So Tyson, who was your winner pick?
Who was my first winner pick?
Which one?
Very the start of the season.
I don't remember.
I don't remember either.
Who cares?
A nothing burger.
Probably a nothing burger.
Except for whoever goes back and listens to the podcast and realizes them.
It was the.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I'm in trouble.
Now, Tiffany, what will you change for round three?
Are you going to change anything?
I don't know if I can change anything, right?
Because I did all the things right to get me to the finale episode.
I played a good social game.
I played a good physical game.
I really don't know what I should change or if anything, you know, I only think I would change is like maybe win what I need to win.
But.
Mm-hmm.
Other than that, I had the jury ready to give me the $2 million if I was sitting in that seat.
It was on me.
You versus Aubrey in the finale.
Who's winning?
I win.
That's why Aubrey had to get me out of there.
Yeah.
That's why she had to stay on.
Okay.
Does she believe that too, that you would have won?
Like, how clear was it?
Like, it's clear, clear, clear as day.
It's very clear.
Okay.
If you ask Aubrey.
She will tell you the same.
That's why she sent me home.
And the jurors also say.
Okay.
When I got to Ponderosa, they told me straight up, Tiff, we would have voted for you.
We wanted you to win.
We are so sad that you're here with us.
Does that make it sting more or less or both?
So, it has evolved.
At first, it was like a gut punch when I got to Ponderosa.
I'm like, are you freaking kidding me?
But then I'm like, wait a minute.
That's like something to be proud of.
That means I really did what I needed to do.
So, I mean, I can't be too mad.
At the end of the day, I know that the jury would have held me down.
I just, I didn't close.
Yeah.
Not everybody makes, you know, free throws 100% of the time.
So, I missed that one.
Do you, right now, play back that last challenge?
Like, where could you have made up time?
And where would you have made up time?
There are two specific areas where I feel like I could have made up time.
Tossing the sandbags.
It took me way too long to knock those three poles off of the towers.
I could have made up a lot of time there.
And then in the puzzle, even though I came so close,
there was a point where the top of the puzzle, it was weird.
Like, the way the puzzles were leaning, I took off like seven pieces to readjust,
to get one to fit in.
And then I rebuilt it.
And I still got down to only one puzzle piece.
I rebuilt the structure different from the beginning.
I win.
And that's taking my thing apart and putting it back together.
Did Jeff's commentary during the puzzle affect the way people put the puzzle together?
Because he was like, Tiffany, building it a different way from the base to the top.
It's holding together better.
These other guys are building the ring around first.
It's going to wobble.
Did that, you think that, that. That changed people's strategy?
I don't think it changed people's strategy,
because at that point, Jeff was just calling out what was already going on.
By the time he was saying that stuff, they already built the rings.
It was already leaning and lopsided.
It was already, my puzzle was already halfway built from the ground up.
At that point, it was more observations.
And they had no choice but to adjust anyway,
because they weren't going to be able to complete the puzzle with the way they were doing it.
OK, OK.
And then the other challenge we want to talk about is the balance in the water
and the water in the water.
Oh, yeah.
I don't know what we didn't see on camera, but if I were in your position, I definitely would have demanded to see the tapes.
I agree that your foot was on too long watching it on TV now and with the other people.
And did you get to see the tapes? Like, what was that conversation like? Did you ask to see the tapes?
The conversation was exactly what y'all saw.
I didn't question it.
I didn't ask for the tapes.
They said that I didn't have my foot up.
Jeff asked me, did I trust them?
You said yes.
I would have said no.
I would have been like, no, I don't.
And you know what?
Maybe, could have, should have, would have.
But at the end of the day, it wasn't even Jeff that made the call.
It was the standards and practices team.
Did they come in and also confirm?
They are the ones that that called Jeff over. They had a little discussion and then Jeff came back.
So it wasn't Jeff that even made the call. It was them reviewing the tapes.
And then Jeff went over. Jeff came back. He said, Tiffany, do you trust me?
And I'm like, yeah, I do. But what you guys didn't see is that I don't know if you've ever done this challenge before, Tyson.
I have. I'm sure you've done. OK. I lost. You know how like.
I was immediately at first one, yeah.
So you know how Jeff does the live count down?
It's a live transition.
The thing that made it so tricky
and the reason why it looked like my foot was on there
a lot longer than what it should have been
is because Jeff is counting down.
He's like five, four, three, two.
People are lifting their foot up.
Well, before we get to one,
I waited until one to lift my foot up.
Some people lift their foot up at five, four.
People are falling, falling, falling.
And I lifted my foot up at the last second.
But at that point, people are already falling because they couldn't even do the transition right.
Yeah.
So it literally was a matter of seconds, which is why Jeff missed it.
It was not blatant by any stretch of the imagination.
They had to go back for a few takes.
It was like a second too late.
At least that's what, you know, they told me.
But it wasn't like, you know, we're counting and then I'm just having my foot on the beam.
It was a live transition.
Y'all just couldn't hear Jeff counting down.
Right.
- Would you have won that
had you gotten your foot up in time
or were you not balanced really?
- No, I would've won.
'Cause once I got my foot up, I was standing there.
The only reason I got off the platform
is 'cause Jeff told me I won.
I jumped off, I didn't fall.
- Yeah, I mean, that's my question.
Were you stable?
You were stable when you lifted.
- I would've been up there for five more minutes.
got my foot up late I didn't fall off the beam I jumped so there was a lot of discourse too about
being a challenge threat and winning so many challenges and that's why like they targeted you
had you not done that and fallen off early and had you not been so close in that final challenge
you just for some reason flopped completely would the outcome have been different for you
because you look at that like I was watching it and as I've been watching it I was like
the worst thing that Tiffany could have done is barely almost win in this position like had she
just like fallen and hurt her shoulder that would have been better for her had she come in dead last
by an hour that would have been better because now they're looking at you like she has won and
she's gotten fucking close to winning so many times that if they're choosing between you and
Aubrey they'd
just have to go you like that's essentially like if those are the two threats you have to get out
the one that's the biggest threat to win the next challenges is what they were thinking right
but you know I mean I mean you're not wrong you're not wrong at all and that's that's the thing about
me I'm a competitor I'm not throwing no challenges I'm not losing no purpose I'm not doing none of
that you're winning everything you're gonna win every you're gonna try to win everything every
time if I can win it I'm winning it I'm not playing the game
Because at the end of the day, this is Survivor 50. I'm not coming out here to play around and do all that foo-foo stuff. I was also getting targeted and fingers pointed at me as a challenge beast before I ever had the immunity necklace around my neck, which is why I also felt pressure to win when I needed to win.
Because that first vote where Dee went home for the jury, they were pointing fingers at me, mostly because Coach was throwing my name out. But the reason everybody was willing to jump on board, I think I had a conversation with Joe.
And I'm like, yo, what is wrong with y'all? Everybody's like, Tiffany and Dee, they're strong. We got to get them out. They win. I'm like, I have never won the immunity necklace before. What are y'all talking about?
And Joe was like, but look at you. You're strong. You're a beast. Why? Because I look like an athlete? Because I have muscles? Y'all never even seen me wear the necklace.
So at that point, I'm like, listen, if y'all going to point the fingers at me, then I'm going to give y'all a reason to.
So now that everybody's seen you wear the necklace round three, you're still going to try and win every single thing?
Well, I don't think I'll have a choice. I don't know if I have a choice. Like now, I don't have the advantage of being like the dark horse that nobody really knows what she's capable of, like I did coming into this season.
I can't make that argument. I never wore the necklace. I did a lot. So now it's like, if I don't. If I don't win, people are probably going to try to get me out early because like, hey, we can't let this girl get deep. She can go on a run.
Yeah, sure. Yeah.
That's what happened to Dee. That's why everybody was so gung-ho to get her out as first juror. They're like, oh, no, we cannot let Dee get into the immunity challenges because she will win.
Yeah, sure. Yeah. Yeah, I agree. I think, I don't know. I don't know, though. I think third time, it depends on when you come back. If you come back like next year,
or the year after, you're going to just have to win. But like, give it 10 years and be like, I'm a shell of who I was. I can't do. Like, then you can throw some challenges if you need to. Lower that threat level a little bit.
I don't know how to recalibrate at this point. I've got to win because they're like, oh, you're not going to fool us. Girl, we saw what you did.
Yeah, yeah.
Tiffany, this finale started with you calling Aubrey a snake, and then ultimately you voted.
You voted for her on the jury. When did you know you were going to vote for her?
That's so mature.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, that's true.
Yeah, listen. I take pride in being a great winner, but also a gracious loser.
Absolutely.
Nobody can ever call me bitter because I'm not. What I want more than anything is a person that I think deserves to win the game to win the game.
And at that point, me and Aubrey were allies. Yes, I called her a snake because she snaked me.
But at the end of the day, do I think she made the right decision for her game? Yeah.
Yeah.
Because I think I would have beat her. And ultimately, it got her in those final three seats.
And what really sealed the deal for me was the way she sold it at Tribal Council because I always look for people that are going to own their game.
Don't give me no fluff. Don't give me no BS. Don't tell me what you think that I want to hear to make me feel better about how and why you sent me home.
Aubrey didn't do any of that. She stood ten toes down. She said, yeah, I told y'all secrets.
Yeah, I backstabbed. I alliance hopped. I did what was best for me. And I'm like, you know what?
Mm hmm.
Respect.
Respect.
Well, Tiffany, we loved watching you. We're excited to see what Tiffany 3.0 brings.
And the final question we've been asking most everybody.
You going to come on The Pot is Spoken and talk about an episode in the future season?
I would love to. I want to come chat with you. Let's do it.
Yeah, let's do it.
It's going to be a good season. I don't know.
This open era is about, but I'm ready to chat about it.
Yeah, we're ready to chat about it with you.
Sending you love from The Pot is Spoken.
Again, big fans over here and enjoy the rest of the day.
And yeah, that's all we got.
That's it.
Thank you so much.
Thank you, Tiffany.
Love you.
Bye.
All right, Ashley.
Yes.
We get Aubrey the winner first.
Yeah.
Aubrey's awesome.
Yeah.
She's, you know.
I'm so upset that we didn't get to hang out with Aubrey more during the beginning of the season
because she has so much personality.
She's so fun and interesting.
She obviously had something to prove.
In comparison to like with Jonathan, who also had something to prove.
I feel like Aubrey was able to do it more subtlety, subtly.
Yeah.
And she's just so fun and funny.
And we didn't get to see a lot of that during the season.
So it's nice that we get to see it during.
The exit interview.
But man, I feel like we missed out on a lot of good TV with her.
Well, we're going to bring her on the pod.
So my idea for next season already is to get as many contestants from season 50 as we can to cover the episodes.
I like it.
Okay.
Yeah.
Riley, thoughts on Aubrey?
I think she's a deserving winner.
And something about me is, you know, I kind of fell off from Survivor a little bit when I was in college.
The first season I came back.
And I remember absolutely loving her on that season.
You know, I wasn't one of the truthers that was like, she got robbed necessarily, because I think that the jury can only ever select the correct winner.
Kind of just how the game mechanic works.
And I liked Michelle a lot, too.
And I like that season a lot overall.
But it was really, really cool to watch her bring that story full circle this season and feel like, you know, she's going to win.
She's tying a bow, not only on season 50, but also on Korong from so many years back.
Right.
Right.
It does bring a lot of closure.
And I think you can see that lifted from her, that weight of and baggage and scars from a decade of close victories, misses, near misses, whatever you want to call it.
And she's fortunate, very, very fortunate to be able to, you know, cap her Survivor story with a victory.
That does make life a little easier as a reality TV contestant.
I would imagine it's more than a little easier.
The $2 million check plus the car?
Very good.
But it's not even that.
Just winning is the closure.
Like, getting the victory is the true closure.
It's just being like, I knew I could do it, and I finally did it.
She had, you know, I mean, we talked about it last night, like how deep those wounds were from Korong to finally get to really, truly heal them.
I mean.
We've talked a lot about it on this pod.
She'll probably still have times where she's running through Korong a bit the way that you've said that you do.
I mean, once you spend $2 million and you're like, well, if I could have, with Korong, I could have had another extra that would have been accruing interest for a decade.
Back, you know, prices are so much lower.
$1 million went a lot further back then.
You know what also makes it sweet for her?
The audience.
Everyone seems to really enjoy Aubrey this season.
They were rooting for her while we were watching the finale.
I feel like that's.
I feel like that's healing as well because of the internet was so mean to her throughout her entire run with Survivor.
So, like, she is definitely, if she decides to come back, I don't know if she ever does, she's at a better place than she's ever been ever, so.
My advice to Aubrey, don't come back.
Yeah, this is probably, you're at your peak.
Take the two milli, bounce, feel great about the closure.
Yeah.
Because if you get six inches away from $2 million in 2020 during COVID when the whole.
The whole world's watching and then fail, there will be moments that you relive.
Yeah.
That's me.
I'm talking about myself right now.
Oh, my goodness.
I picked up on it.
Next up, we had Jonathan.
Yeah.
Very different vibe.
Yes.
Oh, my gosh.
Speaking of trauma, like, it's definitely, the Survivor trauma is intense.
While he was talking, I was actually feeling like I was going to die.
I was feeling myself get emotional, which is, like, the first time.
He had tears in his eyes the entire.
I was really close to crying myself because I don't feel like changing yourself as a person is the best thing to do for any type of game that you play.
Jonathan feels like.
Like he is, he just wants to make himself into some sort of perfect survivor player.
There's no such thing.
There's no perfect anything.
Except for maybe Jesus, if he's real.
Was he perfect either?
He acknowledged that he wasn't.
You know what I'm saying?
Oh, okay.
I always just say I'm the second most humble person to ever live, assuming the stories we've heard are true.
Very true.
And I, you know, that's a great point.
Maybe if we bring Jesus into it.
Let's not.
That's a different podcast.
But yeah, it makes me feel sad that he, even when he was asking you, what could I have done different?
What do I need to do different?
What do I need to change?
And it's that need that really kind of disturbs me.
Yep.
If he was, just be yourself.
That's all he really needs to do.
And it's something that we all learn throughout our lives.
And it's not something you learn like immediately.
It's not a clear cut journey, but it just kind of breaks my heart to hear that he is still finding himself and who he wants to be as a survivor player.
Us telling him what to do, how to do it is not going to make him a better survivor player.
He has to find it within himself.
Correct.
And I also think like that's one of the curses of playing survivor younger is if you don't know who you are fully or it makes you question who you are.
It can be detrimental.
It can be detrimental to your health.
Yeah, it makes me so sad.
And so like a lot of people ask me like, how did you change after?
How did it make you reflect on yourself?
I was like, I already knew who I was.
I'm 28.
Like I knew who I was.
I've lived alone for a long time.
I've traveled.
I lived by myself in Europe.
I did a lot of things.
Survivor wasn't changing me or who I was or making me figure out if I needed to change.
And I think with younger players, a lot of them can be impressionable.
And it can be.
Not a healthy mental cycle for that.
Riley, watching Jonathan's journey here and seeing the way he reacted to losing and you could see the anguish on his face, you being a survivor fan, would you go play survivor?
Watching the heartbreak of devastation of losing within two votes, three votes?
I mean, as you know, I've never applied because I think that they would not cast me because as we talked about a couple of days ago, I think I would be good at the game but bad on the show.
And I think that they would clock that immediately.
But if I were somehow to apply and were invited, I would not be able to say no.
Yeah.
So I would go.
I mean, we've talked to a lot of different contestants on this podcast.
That clearly carry some pretty visible scars still, sometimes years and years and years later.
That if I ever went on survivor, I would not have the mindset of like, this is going to be a dream come true for me.
It's everything I ever wanted.
Going to have no regrets or whatever.
I would go in knowing like, this might really hurt.
I'm very competitive.
And if I lost, especially in a way.
That Jonathan did, you know, I'd feel that anguish too.
Yeah.
Okay.
And, but I appreciate that he showed it to us and he was like honest about it.
Yeah.
And also that he was immediately trying to, you know, one day later channel it into how he could grow and become better.
He was like, I need to watch this back and look for my holes in, in my game again and see what I could do better.
I don't think that's healthy.
No, but I still appreciate it.
For us.
Like I want to see Jonathan 3.0 and be like, what's that even next evolution to him.
But yeah, no, I mean, he seems like he's probably going to dwell on the game more than what is healthy for sure.
Yeah.
And I've been there.
So take a beat.
Okay.
I just got a phone call with some messages and then we'll get into.
Oh, okay.
Got it.
You're right.
Yep.
Okay, good.
This is a doctor's appointment.
Okay.
Okay.
Next up.
Joe.
Joe.
Joe's fine.
He's like authentically fine too.
Not in a like, I'm all good.
We're fine.
Don't worry about me.
I'm going to be okay over here.
Yeah.
No, he was good.
I mean, he, he seems genuinely at peace.
And.
As bad as Jonathan feels, Joe is the opposite of that spectrum all the way on the other side of perfectly great.
Yeah.
Oh my gosh.
His energy while we're interviewing him was so intoxicating.
I'm like that Joe would have, I would have voted for him.
I think that's something that doesn't come across the screen when you watch Joe is his love for other humans.
Yeah, totally.
Like he is warm, he is gracious, he is kind, he is complimentary and you're like, you get out there and someone like that you want to work with.
Yeah.
And so like, we saw the tension between him and Rick.
We saw like him.
You're taking all the Jotation shifts.
I'm taking the Jotation shifts.
I would too.
He's just hanging out.
He's just chilling.
Yeah.
I think that's fine.
I'm like me too Joe.
Yeah.
Me too.
Yeah.
He seems so cool.
Like I really wish we would have saw that or if it was able to do that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It would have been so cool to be translated onto TV because, man, I'm like, I want to see more of Joe.
I want to talk more with him.
I didn't feel that at all while watching him on Survivor.
I'm not going to lie.
He seemed very stressed.
Like the game Survivor stresses Joe out.
I think it does, but I do think we have these real moments.
I think the humanity was there for him.
That's how he got so far.
That's how he built bonds.
I don't think we saw that.
I don't know that we saw that.
That's the first time he played with Eva, but I think that there's a lot more to him in that capacity far beyond what we are seeing on screen as far as just love.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Mm-hmm.
So and I like that.
I like that about him and I think maybe he's not getting as much attention.
I think he's not getting as much credit as he should for navigating the game because I do believe he probably leaned into that a lot to build those relationships and we just, a lot of people thought he was just a goat getting dragged to the end.
Yeah.
Yeah, I mean, pretty small group of people to make final tribal council in each of their first two seasons.
Yes.
So you're doing something right.
Right.
Absolutely.
Right.
Absolutely.
So yeah.
So apologies, Joe.
I think, yeah, I think you're not a lowercase goat.
I don't know that I ever fully leaned, we did a little bit.
Yeah, we did.
But yeah, so, and I'm very happy that he's been able to, and again, probably shows the maturity level between Jonathan, who is young and figuring out who he is and Joe, who already knows who he is and is fine with the outcome or has made peace with it to a degree where he's happy.
Yes.
He's just happy to be part of it.
Yeah.
So, next we have.
Riz God.
Rizzo.
The man, the myth, the legend.
Where does he go from here?
Like Riz God, like, is there something above God?
Like if he, if he ends up winning the game, what does he call himself?
Oh my goodness.
I don't know.
I mean, he might drop the God and just be Rizzo.
He might just be like, you know what, this is me, guys.
This is the real Rizzo.
I, I kind of feel bad for Rizzo as well.
Because like, I mean, we said it all the time, he did feel immature in comparison to a lot
of everybody else.
Yeah.
He, he took the time to give advice to like Coach and Colby, Ozzy.
He obviously has the emotional intelligence to make it far into a survivor, but it, it
just didn't seem like this is the right time for Rizzo to win.
Right.
Because of just something about him.
Maybe he's, has a baby face.
Maybe he just said Riz God, GG guys, cinema, too much.
Yeah.
I don't know.
But like, he has it.
It just wasn't the right time.
So when he's talking about going back and trying new things and making fire, learning
how to make fire properly, I'm excited to see him evolve.
Right.
As, as the actual Rizzo and not just Riz God.
Right.
Yeah.
Right.
Yeah.
I mean, I feel like he, both in the game, what we saw and from talking to him in the
exit interviews, he demonstrates such great game.
In social awareness where he knew like, these are the people I'm losing to.
I have a narrow path to victory.
I have to be at the end with Joe and Jonathan in order to win.
You know, when we talked to him and he said that pretty much the moment Aubrey won that
challenge, he knew, okay, I probably can't beat Aubrey at the end.
It's basically over.
Even if he won fire making.
Yeah.
So, and that, that speaks to, even despite all that confidence, he was not like delusional
about his game or his standing among others.
people. Yeah, which I do think is
actually very mature for he's what, 25, 25 to be that self-aware to recognize that is, is pretty
strong. Like the difference between Jonathan's heartbreak and Rizzo's acceptance of, of what it
is. And, and I think our, our, you know, they're definitely within the same generational, like I
think Jonathan's under 30. I think so. Yeah. So it is, it is different. And I, I think it shows a
maturity level to Rizzo that sometimes on screen come, comes across lacking a little bit and maybe
even in person when you're playing the game with him. And that's partly because he's just loving
being there. Yeah. He's having a great time. Yeah. So yeah. So happy to talk to Rizzo.
Finally,
Tiffany. It's Tiffany. Yeah. She is awesome. I am, I am inspired by her. She is so powerful as
not only a survivor player, but as a human being, you can feel the, she just has this vibe about her
where you're like, wow. Yeah. You could do it. You could do anything. If she said, I'm going to go
fly, I'm physically going to go and just start flying. I'm like, yeah, I believe you, Tiffany.
She just has that, that feeling about her.
I'm aware enough of physics to know that that's impossible.
Yeah. Yeah. Maybe, maybe Tiffany could do it. Yeah. Riley.
Yeah. I loved her on this season. I mean, she was sort of the head scratcher casting choice
coming in, but she absolutely left her mark and I think we'll see Tiffany 3.0 before long.
Yeah. I, I think so too. I think out of those final five, who's coming back?
Oh, I think Aubrey is the least likely. Is Aubrey coming back? No, I think she's the least
likely to come back. No or yes. I think probably no. No, no. I think no. I think this is her last
season. I think if she's smart, Aubrey, look at me. And here, a beautiful run, such a stamp on
your survivor journey. Be at the top. Okay. Okay. And then Jonathan. He's a hundred percent.
He's definitely coming back. Yeah. He has something.
I think Joe's coming back. I talked to him on the red carpet. He said as many times as they
invite him, he will continue to come back. Okay. Okay. Yeah. I could see it. I think he just likes
to be a part of it and sure. He's going to try to win, but for him, he's just so happy and grateful
to be there that he can do it differently though. Like he seems to experience it a little more
seriously than a lot of people on the Island. I just hope that he can have more fun. Yeah.
The comedic side of my brain wants him to get to the end with, uh, with no chance as much as I want
to see Rizzo get to fire again, as much as I want to see Francesca get voted out first again.
I don't know. I don't, I don't really want that for Joe.
Yeah. I want him to have so much fun next time. Like I want, I want to see the version of Joe
that we saw today. Yeah. On screen, having fun, smiling more, just being like,
I was happy to be here, but it's so hard to just have fun when you know, people are targeting you.
It's so hard to just be like, we're having fun. Knowing people are out to get you
makes it, it's just harder to have fun that way. But, uh, yeah, I don't wish that for Joe. I wish
whatever positive experience he needs to have again. But, um, I don't know if we'll see Joe
again. I don't know if they'll have him back. You know, he's older. He's now working on this
Netflix show, which he,
is it's based on his life. I didn't realize that I thought he was just an actor. It's actually
based on his life, the Tyler Perry firehouse thing. It's based on his life. And then after
it was created, they came back to him and asked if he would be an actor in it. Wow. Wow. I didn't
know that part. Oh my gosh. That's so cool. I'll give it a watch. I'm going to, I'm definitely
going to give it a watch. Yeah. That sounds sick. And then, uh, but okay. So now we have,
we have Rizzo next. He's coming back for sure. A hundred percent. Yeah. He'd come back tomorrow.
If you could see a career reality TV contestant, is this his, Oh my gosh. Yeah. Yeah. I think of
the like new era people, he's the most clearly on that path. You know, if he's not coming back
for survivor, he's coming somewhere. Um, he'll be, you know, we'll see him somewhere else soon.
I imagine. I don't know. I guess we should ask him that. Um, what do you guys think? Yeah. Do
you think he would get far in like the traders or would it be more of a,
of like big brother? Ooh, I think big brother would be a good fit for him. Yeah. I mean,
amazing race too with, with somebody that are his, uh, brother or his, uh, his, one of his parents
or his girlfriend. Like I can see him. Riz God, Liz God. Yeah. That'd be sick. Yeah. Yeah. Um,
but I do believe like, if, I mean, we'll see, but I think if he shows up on our,
on our TV again within the next couple of years, I believe he's a reality TV lifer.
Absolutely. That's where his career path is. Um, and then Tiffany, she's coming back. She's
coming back. Yeah. She's got unfinished business. I would imagine. Yeah. She's got to win. Yep.
Yeah. So yeah, I think for a lot of these people, it's really a question of how long will I have to
wait to come back? Right. You know, Jeff said we'll see returning players sooner rather than later,
but I think he's going to have to wait. I think he's going to have to wait. I think he's going to
also said that they had so many people they cut from 50, that it's going to be a lot of those
people that they're going to bring back whenever that next returning season is. So, which I feel
is right. Like those people through the ringer, it's been a while. And, uh, yeah. So, you know,
I think they may have to wait at least one cycle before we see some of these people, you know,
even get that invite. And then it's like, you know, if life doesn't work out or whatever,
you know, they got things going on.
And like, as soon as these people grow and then it's like, whatever, they have kids or something
like that and they can't do it anymore. And you gotta get them then another cycle down the line
or whatever it is. Well, let's talk about some of the old school players that were on this season.
Are we going to see those people back? Are those people done? Are most of them done?
Which ones? So let's see. I think Jenna is definitely done.
Yeah. Colby's done.
Colby.
I think Colby was certainly done.
Coach.
Seri has said that she's done.
Yeah.
Coach.
Coach?
Kind of says he's done, but I think, uh, I think the draw, I think the appeal after a few years,
Coach saying, coach saying I'll do one thing and then doing another thing is sort of the most
way to do it. So, uh, yeah. Um, I would hope to see him again.
Yeah. Yeah. Um,
Ozzy, I think would come back.
He would come back.
I think he'd come back.
Yeah.
He hasn't finished business as well.
Do you think he can?
He needs another t-shirt, you know?
He needs another t-shirt prize.
I think he's on the way of like becoming like a winner.
Okay.
Because like he was on the way to, like,
He's on the way in this, in this season, right?
Um,
But Seri's not going to play again.
But that's the issue.
He needs her, like,
That's the thing.
If he can figure out how to not do that, then maybe he can totally win it.
Oh my God.
Because I think he was leaning way too hard on Seri.
There was a half a second there where I was like, if Ozzy's on, I should play again because I can get him to lock in with me.
Yeah.
Oh, interesting.
Yeah.
Oh my gosh.
Yeah, he certainly would.
That'd be a really good alliance, I think.
You just got to not get, you know, separated by rocks.
Ever.
Yeah.
No rocks.
Just like if Jeff brings out any rocks, just like, no.
No.
Yeah.
Anything else before we close that you want to touch on either from the red carpet or from the exit?
Well, so I was looking through some of the YouTube comments from yesterday's or early this morning's episode.
Yep.
And they're mentioning their frustration with the live portions of the reunion last night in the finale because it didn't celebrate the era properly.
What do you guys think?
Do you think that it?
Do you think that it was a good enough celebration or do you think it kind of lacked in that?
I mean, even like discounting the fiasco.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I thought the whole thing was such a bust, you know?
I mean, like I loved being there at the finale, but I would like it so much more if we got that discussion after.
The airing of grievances.
Yes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Or just like any, you know, like any of that talk, like where people now have the perspective, they've watched themselves back, all that.
Yes.
It's good for us because the exit press, the exit press is what we would have seen.
You didn't get it last night.
So now you come to us.
Yeah.
And that is true.
And I, that is what for me was also lacking is the entire cast on stage with Jeff saying, Rick, Joe, what's the tension like now?
Yeah.
So-and-so, so-and-so.
Kyle, how's your, how's your leg?
How's your feet?
Yes.
Like all that stuff.
Stephanie, you believe that Jonathan's still the total package.
Yeah.
Tell us what you think.
Like all of it.
Like we need all, coach, give us a haiku.
Yeah.
Oh yeah.
That would have been really nice.
Like just all of that.
And I, I, I think that that, that's, Jeff says he doesn't like that.
He says that he doesn't like the tension, the animosity, also with the social media that people are trying to like play.
Did it come with that much like tension and animosity?
I just, I don't understand it.
I don't understand why they insisted on doing it on the island for the new era when it's so awkward.
Yes.
Like you got the three finalists still all like sweating.
Muddy and muddy and gross.
And heartbroken.
Yeah.
And heartbroken and not being able to talk about stuff.
Trying to process their feelings or whatever.
Yeah.
Which I guess they're like feeling.
theoretically they're doing here too.
Yeah.
Because you're the live read,
but they knew.
And you also have a year to say,
okay,
here's what I do if I win.
Here's what I do if I lose.
So I don't know.
It feels like Jeff is always trying to have these moments where he's like
trying to prod for emotions and talk about things and whatever.
And it is very odd to give that up this for this finale to instead hand out
the awards and do these much more manufactured unorganic.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Didn't love it.
I agree.
I think he's missing that last bit of hands of the fans because the fans do
want to see that particular reunion.
Right.
And I feel like that kind of highlights what was going on with this entire
season.
Not to get,
not to get too grouchy,
but you know,
it's like we voted for a live finale and then they're like,
we're going to change the live finale.
We voted for idols,
but then they changed idols.
It's like,
what are we voting on?
I thought we voted on a live finale.
And that's a lesson in voting.
Riley.
You don't get from what you look for.
Well,
you learned the hard way by not getting what you wanted on your favorite TV
show.
That was the breaks.
And that was our exit press coverage.
Thank you so much.
We will be back early next week.
Yes.
With our season wrap with Ethan.
He's going to bookend the season here.
And we're very excited to talk to him about the entirety of season.
We're going to talk to him about the entirety of season 50 as a whole,
where it hit,
where it missed and everything in between.
Thank you for tuning in.
Like subscribe,
share,
shout us from the rooftops,
whatever you got to do until early next week.
See ya.

FAQs
Aubrey won by effectively selling her Survivor legacy, especially her underdog story from CoWrong. She resonated with the jury by connecting emotionally and strategically, emphasizing her journey and how it fit the narrative of Survivor 50.
Rizzo kept the idol as a strategic asset to show he was not just a showboat, but a player with depth. He believed it would be a powerful tool to highlight his journey and challenge the narrative that he was just a 'cocky' player.
The audience didn’t cheer when Aubrey won the car because they perceived it as a token reward after she won $2 million. The reaction was less enthusiastic compared to when the prize was first announced, suggesting a disconnect between the prize and audience excitement.
Aubrey credited her ability to emotionally regulate herself and stay grounded as key to her success. She emphasized that she could zoom out to see the bigger picture and trust her instincts, even when others doubted her.
Players expressed concern that the jury process was too public and unsequestered, leading to tension and bias. Many felt that the open discussion of votes undermined fairness, as jurors were influenced by personal relationships and emotions rather than impartial judgment.
Rizzo believes he has the skills to win again and is confident in his ability to perform well despite being underestimated. He thinks he could win in the near future, especially if he plays against a mix of returning and new players.
