‘Survivor 50’ Episode 12 Exit Interviews! | The Pod Has Spoken

Survivor Season 50 concludes with reflective discussions from key players, including Rick Devins and Sari, on strategy, loyalty, and personal growth. Rick emphasizes that he always aimed to win the game while balancing fun and strategy, though his bold moves—like the fake idol—made him a target and intensified jury conflict. He credits his success to strong alliances, particularly with Emily and Christian, and notes that the $2 million prize heightened emotional intensity, leading to impulsive decisions. Despite being a target, Rick remains proud of his performance and focuses on the joy and entertainment value of the game. Sari highlights her resilience and strategic mastery, especially in navigating threats and reaching the final stages, calling it her best performance. The season also features unexpected guest appearances, like Mr. Beast and his Feastables, which disrupted norms and energized fans. The finale saw widespread jury support for Rick, though the outcome remains uncertain. Viewers are left with a mix of emotional closure and excitement, as both players express pride in their journey and the season’s memorable moments, including moments of personal growth, loyalty, and playful strategy. The episode ends with anticipation for future seasons and a strong fan connection to the show’s evolving dynamics.

try one hey let's get back to work please but taylor hansen's making my day way better with these new soft and swirly king's hawaiian cinnamon bites taylor hansen nice try one king's hawaiian cinnamon bites there's nothing like it welcome to exit press for episode 12 survivor season 50 it is almost here next week is the finale we will be there live feet on the ground all three of us right in the midst of the action talking to the two eliminated castaways we first have rick devins followed by sari enjoy first question is it rick or is it devins i i'd prefer rick devins if that's okay all the time like you're in trouble like your mom's yelling at you and yeah exactly that's i that's how i feel backed into a corner that's what i do my best but really if we're out to eat it's you and me we're hanging out i bounce back and forth between calling you rick or calling you devins all season long do you go by one or the other in your life yeah i go by rick in my life which is actually really convenient so if someone comes up to me as devins i'm like survivor fan as opposed to like do i know this person or is this person a fan it's it's become how do you know that happens if that if you've already worked out the system it does happen i'm just wondering and curious how you knew that every time somebody says tyson to me i have to then do some mathematic calculations in my head to understand if i know them or not you know the devins thing has really picked up life more in season two because i went out there and introduced myself to the other castaways as devins whereas i really mix things up season one by being like devins but also being like hey i'm rick so they constantly were calling me rick devins or a little bit of rick or a little bit of devins to the point that jeff at one point was like guys you got to figure out what you're going to call this guy uh but uh he would now it's pretty much if i hear devins i know it's a survivor fan he didn't want he didn't want you to bounce back and forth between two names that's too much power for one person you know it goes straight to my head yeah it really does uh we've talked a lot this season about the balance between having fun um also pissing people off by maybe having too much fun uh versus uh trying to win the game do you feel like you found that balance or were the scales tipped one way or the other i feel like you know i was always trying to win the game there was never a time where i was trying to win the game i was trying to win the game i was doing something that wasn't like towards that goal of winning the game and i almost feel like my hand was forced um i don't feel like i had too much fun in people's faces until i got that fake idol from tribal and at that point like i felt like i needed it i thought i was going home that night i thought i was there to save it and then once you get it you know how do i sell that this is a real idol you kind of have to have that confidence and you kind of have to have that confidence of like i don't care like i'm going to point out that joe and jonathan are talking like i need to seem very confident or they're not going to believe it's a real idol and from that point you know how it is once you become a target you can't get that stink off and the fact that i did that in front of the jury and i have a reputation like it just kept coming at me so it just kept building on itself and then the more i feel ostracized the more you want to make me feel like i'm the odd man out like the more i want you to not think that that's working and so i want you to like rub my joy in your face a little bit like but maybe not that's my argument is i understand all of that like if i'm pushing a button and i see that that button is getting pushed i'm going to keep pushing the button but sometimes at the detriment of a jury vote or two jury votes or something like that uh but i i wasn't there i don't understand everything that we didn't see on camera so i wanted to hear it from you you know like i'm not dancing in front of people you know i'm having fun dancing off on my own in front of the camera guy i can't say you know i want to flip this mr beast coin over there you know right we're only the jury sees uh if i'm throwing stuff under the bus like i gotta do that there so i would always go back to camp the next day and try to lay low and most of the you know the joy it's in my confessionals like i think when you see me in a group of people like i'm pretty chill i'm not the guy trying to get camera time when we're in other than at tribal obviously but at camp like i'm pretty laid back um so i was aware of that but yeah i i just feel like i was forced to make my moves at tribal and tribal i feel is like where i have an advantage over other people in terms of ability um so i do feel like my hand was kind of forced to an extent why is that why do you feel that you have uh you're a strong tribal council performer yeah i think that i i feel maybe more comfortable there than other people do i think a lot of people go in there with metaphors and just want to stay out of the limelight i'm too scared to give up information accidentally so i'm just like i'm gonna not talk and and again like those people a lot of times can make it to the end so maybe that's the right thing to do but i feel like i have shown that there are ways to use tribal to flip the target onto somebody else now you're always putting your you know you don't find the comments that tribal disgusting or uh inappropriate yeah um you know it could be it could be depending on your temperament but no i feel like uh especially at some point you got to make moves right everyone gets to the end and starts claiming moves that weren't theirs or claiming moves that were theirs but it's hard to prove that when there's a bunch of people involved so i don't think i'm ever going to have a trouble getting to the end and not knowing what to talk about um but it does make it tougher to get to the end obviously so let's talk about the end game had you gotten there would you have had a chance at winning who's voting for you like how comfortable were you feeling if you could just get to the end well i was pleasantly surprised when i left the game to find out you know from their mouths every member of the jury that was there so far was rooting for me to win and and was going to give me a chance to win so i'm going to have a chance to be their vote at that point i'm not crazy if i get there with sari that's that's an uphill fight right yeah everyone was working with sari but the thing about my game is i super loyal to the people that i worked with emily and christian so those honor integrity people have got to respect that to a degree and the people that i voted against didn't expect anything from me they're not burnt by me right plus everything i did that i'm bragging about at the end of the game was they saw they don't have to take my word for it they're not sitting there going i actually i think that was sari's move you know actually i don't know if it was aubrey or jonathan who's responsible for ozzy out like it was right in your face in front of you so i i do you know everyone thinks this but i think if i'd gone against anyone in the end other than sari i would have won the game and that being said you know there's still a lot of time left in the game there's still a lot of time to burn a bridge or to piss somebody off or do something stupid in front of the jury if i'd gotten there it probably would have been by finding idols and winning immunities which are all would have just added to obvious resume things um and no one would have said rick you played the most brilliant strategic game but they'd go this is season 50 we also saw what you did we want people to remember season 50 as this big bombastic winner uh i think i'd have had it well how are you voting for people in the end are you voting for the best game are you voting for people you like are you voting like what is your criteria for the best game are you voting for the like you're on the jury now are you voting for the most bombastic the biggest splash what are you voting for i'm very much in a position where you know if emily or christian were still in the game no matter what they did i'd give them my vote like those are my people love it but because i'm not super tight with anyone left in the game very much the mindset of let's go to ponderosa let's get to the bottom of things i want season 50 to have as good a winner as possible i want to i want to vote for the winner and i want that person to be the person who played the best game okay okay riley what do you have for rick or devon so i what do i call you you Rick I feel like I feel like we're friends you can call me Rick I think I prefer Rick I just feel like it's more but it's more intimate I certainly don't feel disrespected by either of them like I'm happy with either like I think some people who who don't root for me are like I'm not calling him Devin's and like I don't care my you know my family calls me Rick like I'm not I'm not hurt by this yeah so you're you're saying either your family doesn't root for you or you're fine with both names and we you can tell us a story and we have can choose to believe it or not yeah and hopefully we can get to the bottom of which of those it is I'm not sure you know Riley what do you have uh Rick I loved your creativity on this season was there any other like schemes like the fake idol or just ideas like that that were in play that either didn't make the edit or that you weren't able to put into play but had in your head there was one thing that I almost wish I'd even though it was doomed to fail um desperate situation in my final day literally my final day you know I I spent a lot more time searching for idol than they showed I mean every second I was out there searching for with my buddy Jonathan doing exactly what he's supposed to do by the way following around um was he the only one that followed you yeah which I that's weird well Aubrey did a little bit Aubrey did a little bit I need to give her credit that and then Tiff wanted me to find it so she she doesn't care that I'm out there you know she wanted to get rid of Rizzo at that point um but but we had paint from doing the flag which Tiff did an amazing job on and I snuck the red paint out of camp because I thought what if I can fake a beware advantage like that a coconut dropped from the tree that I got the red paint on me and that they think I have an idol and this is what I was going to do but for one to Jonathan's credit hard to get away from him for even enough time to do that and then in my head I'm just like they can still stack the votes against because only Tiff is going to be with me so they can still flush it so I just realized you know I've got a better shot with this shot of the dark and like going out and still searching for the idol than to try to do this together but it would have been so fun just me coming back desperate like covered in red paint would have been a beautiful moment even though it would have been a huge failure that would have been fun I wish I'd done it what about just painting mustaches on everyone while they're asleep you know again I tried not to do too much that was just performative if I if that could have helped me win the game I'd have been all for it but you painted it could have listen listen here Rick you paint a red mustache on you you paint one on everybody except for the person you don't except for the person you want targeted I'm glad you weren't on 50 man that would have been tough that would have been tough to go against can you imagine who would you have not put a mustache on who would you have framed in that moment uh well you know I would the obvious is Joe but no one would believe that Joe would paint mustaches on people it would be too disgusting of an action no he would never do that so I probably would have done it on Aubrey you know it's like she seems like a mustache painter listen we're thinking outside the box here that's what we do at the pot of spoken Rick uh what else you got Riley um I'm curious more about the like your relationship I guess with Joe and if there was more to that that we didn't see like had that all started yeah and like where did it I love that relationship question I love that I think honestly like with Joe like perfect strangers the sitcom except for it's a reality tv show with just Rick and Joe in a one-bedroom apartment living together yeah that'd be great uh Joe and I are actually good now you know we've sent our apology messages back and forth we've sent our apology messages back and forth we've sent our apology messages back and forth I think it went wrong from the very beginning I remember I mean obviously there was the one thing where he caught me in the lie and I was just playing awful survivor and then he got real mad about it like more mad than I felt like he should so we started bumping heads immediately that's the obvious thing but even before that there was a moment where Emily and I are walking with him this is like day two maybe and I'm like Joe you know I know your honor and integrity but this is 50 like I think there's gonna need to be more than that I was like I would love to be your devious guy like totally loyal to you but doing devious things like on behalf of both of us and then like he walked away and I'm like with Emily I'm like I don't think that that went well he's like no no he did not like that at all that's not good and then watching it back I just for me loyalty is I got your back I'm never gonna work against you and I'm gonna do things for both of us yeah but you don't need to know everything I'm doing like I didn't tell Emily and Sari I hit a fake at tribal even though I'm totally loyal to them because they don't need to know that right whereas I think Joe kind of watching back now you know you see that if you don't tell him about your advantages he feels a little betrayed like that's not the loyalty to him is total openness it seemed so I just think it just never clicked I didn't realize I'd let go of it a little bit more than I think he may have let go of it or I would have voted him out instead of Genevieve at the blood moon if I thought it was still a thing um but you know it is what it is I mean I loved it uh last question here Rick dude I loved it too as a viewer like I actually appreciate Joe I think a lot of people would feel the way he did but no like oh I'm not gonna harp on it all the time like good for him for bringing it up all the time because that's the type of personal like that in the new era one-sided beef that just like keeps going and they think that it's like full-fledged war and the other person is totally oblivious to it I love that people like why is Devin's crying with Joe last night I'm like because I really yeah I didn't know he hated me uh Rick last thing we have to go but uh last night they announced the hundred thousand dollar Sia prize yeah who's winning that make your picks oh man I'd I'd like I'd like it I'd like to get another hundred thousand from Sia you know I named a cat after her I don't know what I would do if I won this one um I think obviously Seri and Ozzy big big people that could could walk away with it all I don't know man it's gonna be it's gonna be something you think between Seri and Ozzy and I think I have a shot and Rick I've got a shot I mean I'll just be honest with you that's what we you can be honest here this is a safe space I mean I think Seri played the best game although I think her and I had an equally hard job of actually getting where we left to getting to that final three I think it would have been equally hard for both of us for different reasons yeah I agree and I also I said it last night on the podcast I want to say it to your face here Rick that watching you play this season has reminded me that if I ever go do anything like this again to remember that I'm going to remember to have fun and entertain myself first and foremost I think you are a good uh a good example of remembering to find the joy in things that sometimes are not always joyful celebrate the ridiculous so uh thank you for doing that for us Rick uh thank you for your time as well and we'll see you in person next week yeah dude I'm looking forward to it and thank you that means a lot I really appreciate that yeah sending you all the love thanks Rick see you awesome guys see you next week I hate Mondays King's Hawaiian cinnamon swirl bite uh Taylor Hanson sure I'll try one hey let's get back to work please but Taylor Hanson's making my day way better with these new soft and swirly King's Hawaiian cinnamon bites Taylor Hanson nice try one King's Hawaiian cinnamon bites there's nothing like it Abercrombie is and always has been the destination for holiday dressing think soft sweaters for those cozy nights in and classic matching sets for unforgettable nights out with friends complete the look with our wool blend A&F carry trench and you're all set make this season all about the moments you turn into traditions have a very Abercrombie holiday shop in the app online and in stores three how are you oh awesome Tyson how you doing I'm good I'm so happy to see you every time uh I see you you bring me so much joy I think that's your one of your superpowers uh but I am sad to see you uh exit this season because I really as you were inching closer I was thinking thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you this was your this was your everything was going to come together whatever bad luck had crossed you in the past it was all going to come together and you were gonna pull it out did you did you start feeling that uh so the problem was that the pool from the contestant pool that I was playing with there was the the amount of people who would be willing to go to the end with me kept getting smaller and smaller and smaller like once Ozzy went because I knew Ozzy meant it he would go all the way once Ozzy went there only that was Tiffany left Right. Tiffany was the only person left in the game that I felt 100 percent would want to go to the end with me. And then the conversations I was having started to be like I had a conversation with Joe and Joe, who tries to be truthful most of the time is like three people are talking and everybody knows if you go to the end, you win. Once you hear that and there's five of them and one who will, the likelihood of you making it there is slim to none. Right. So the writing was on the wall at that point. We saw that in the episode. What what drew you to Rizzo so much because you had this really tight alliance with him. What is it about him that that either maybe we're not seeing or the or the fans aren't fully understanding because he is playing a good game and he has. Navigated two seasons really deep into these games. I think what Rizzo had, the benefit of Rizzo was information he started bringing me immediately and information is currency and you Rizzo started out once we swapped tribes and came together immediately telling me everything he knew, everything he knew. And that kind of locked us in. And then. And then as we went along, even with the Tiffany vote, they told him not to tell me because they knew I would tell Tiffany and he still went against his bromance to come and tell me. So Rizzo, as long as you and he never gave me like that, I can't trust him feeling right because I go. That's what I go by. Like if we could be smiling and eating barbecue together. But at the same time, my spidey senses tell me outside of this barbecue. You're never. You're never going to go to the end with me or you even consider voting me out. I never got that feeling from Rizzo until the very end. So that was the benefit of Rizzo. And he it was true. You know, up and I feel like to Rizzo's benefit. Rizzo wants to win the game. Rizzo's there just like me to win the game. And up until a point, he went as far as he thought he could go with me to not lose to me. Right. You hate him for that? You know, that's what I'm. Doing with you, Suri, if we're on a season of Survivor together, I trust you enough that we can go deep, but I don't trust enough that I can beat you in the end. And I think that, yeah, with Ozzy, did he believe that he had a chance against you in the end or did he not care? He was just like, I just have to figure out how to get the end. I think that was it. I think Ozzy respected me enough and we have this mutual we both played for 20 years now. We've been in this game for a long time. And. I would go willing to lose to Ozzy and I feel like he felt the same for me. Right. He feels like this was a chance for us to rewrite history and finally come together and respect each other's game and utilize each other's game enough to help each other get to the end. And that's exactly what we did. And then fight it out in the end, whichever, whichever the outcome may have been. I think we both would have been OK with it. And that's why I tried. So hard to keep him. And he tried hard to keep me. I do believe that that could it have been different? Would it have been different? And how so? Had Ozzy not decided to share everything with Aubrey last week? What like would he have still gone in that moment? Would he would he be here? Would you have lasted another tribal council or is there no way of knowing? I don't know, because everybody was starting to get real antsy. I don't know about idols about he would have been idol list, so had he played his idol and still been there, it's still I think it would have broken so much trust with him and Rizzo, it would have been a war, you know, a war and and I think with Joe and Jonathan, knowing who Ozzy is, I don't think Joe and Jonathan would have wanted to sit next to Ozzy as much as they didn't want to sit next to me. So I think. And if he was. If he didn't win immunity and he was with his idol without his idol, I mean, it probably would have been the same outcome. The next vote, if not the next vote, I think. Yeah. OK. What was your secret phrase to Ozzy to play his idol? Like, what would you have had to say? I think I really don't remember 100 percent, Tyson. Oh, good. This is a test because I I messaged Ozzy and asked. OK, let me see if this is it, because I talked about. This Wagyu pastrami a lot and because it's amazing. If you haven't had it, you need to go get it. Where do we get it? Well, I don't know where you get it, where you live, but we I get it here at ShopRite. It's amazing. You like Wagyu steak. They just it's just thinly sliced pastrami that has the same characteristics of any grade A Wagyu steak you ever had. And I think. I was supposed to say, oh, my God, I can't. So I cannot wait to get home and get. I think that was it. Was that it? He said it was something along the lines of teaching old dog new tricks. Oh, that's right. That's right. So we're going to. So if this had happened, you would have been talking about Wagyu and giving him a wink and he would have had no idea. No, because I was there in the moment. I would have remembered. It's been a year and some now. You think? And we didn't have to use our remember. But there I would have definitely remembered. He's right. That's exactly what it was. OK. Yeah. Yeah. Riley has vowed to eliminate screen time from his life forever since you were eliminated last night. He was heartbroken, devastated. He said the only screen time he will have in his life is going to have three on it up until whatever until he starts feeling better. Riley, what do you have for three? Three. I know. What's the rice recipe? Two parts water to one part rice. OK. OK. And then you just simmer it from there all the way through? No, like. Simmer it until the water is evaporates all the once all the water is gone. Turn the heat off. Keep the top on and let it do its thing. Leave it alone and let it do its thing. You get the nice fluffiest. You saw the rice. It looked great. It did look great. And I'm with you, Saree. Cook a bunch of rice. Like, why are we not like you never know when your exit is coming. So you may as well leave the tribe with nothing. It's like five days, six days left. Like we had enough. Girl, if you don't cook right. And this is from a non rice cooker. Are you ever taking it? Are you going to take makeup advice from somebody who don't do makeup? I'm going to take rice cooking advice from somebody who don't cook rice. I love Emily, though. Yeah, she was super fun. Ashley, what do you got? Who was the worst liar on the island? Because you were like a liar detective. So who was it? Oh, boy. All of them. But you're good. You're so good at like we had that little social media clip when we had played that backyard survivor. And you looked over at me as I made eye contact with you and you immediately knew. So I was like, she's sniffing it all out. She like even when Rizzo last night was talking about like, oh, tread light and be careful. You can't like make any changes whatsoever. You still you still knew. Yeah. And that's why I said, Rizzo, what happens if Tiffany goes? I mean, when's immunity? And he says to me, I don't know. You don't know. You don't know. You don't know. Told me that, you know. Right. That's it. But I mean, he held to it. But you immediately knew the writing was on the wall. How did you get that talent? You know, I don't know. I don't know. I guess you can't bullshit a bullshit. I don't know. Like I you know what it is. It's your something inside you will tell you. I think everybody has it. They just don't listen to it. He had it. He had a dream the night before telling him play his idol and he didn't. People just discount it or brush it off like I'm bugging. No. And when you get that feeling in real life and games, whatever, there's always for me is God. But for whatever it is to you, if it's the universe, whatever you think it is, there's always going to be a warning. You just got to listen to it. You got to be willing to hear it. Mm hmm. Yeah, I agree with that. I think I think there's a weird, a different energy when someone has is not being truthful. And some people are better at disguising it than others. But it's always a little bit there. I've felt that when I've played, you can look someone in the eye and be like, they're lying. I don't know how or how right or what. But I have to keep them at arm's length now. But I also understand that because I got that read from them, they're now getting that read from me. Because now I'm in defense mode. And it's. It's too much. Serena, what's next for you? Oh, there's a few things. A few things. Traders All-Stars with Stephanie. Get her again, Sari. Get her again. Stop it, Tyson. Come on. Is that not a dream scenario? Sari and Stephanie on another show together. Not for me. She's going to get you one time. She's going to get you after six or seven times. That's what you want to do with me. Good luck. You're not going to tell us what you got coming up? Well, I can't know how this. You've got top secret stuff coming up. Quite a few things. Oh, my God, Sari. Okay, this is very good news for us, especially Riley, because he loves TV, but he won't watch it now unless Sari is there. Riley, hold on. I'll be waiting. I'll set the Google alert. Sari, we're so sad that you're off our screens and you had a mirror not a miracle run, an amazing run. As the season started, everyone was like, Sari's too big of a threat. How can she navigate? And then you proved to the masses that you could still do it. On your resume of all the times you played Survivor, where does season 50 rank in terms of how well you did? Not just the placement, just how close you were to winning it all. I think it's , up there was my first season because my first season I was fresh out off the couch. And to have made it being so out of my element and to make it to Final Four, I was shocked myself. This season, if that season would be, I would place Panama at number two and this would probably be my best performance to date. Just because my first season, people weren't up to me as much as they were out the gate on season 50. There was Jenna, there was Savannah, there was Jonathan when the tribes popped. Everybody was like, Sari, Sari, Sari. So to be able to make it to where I did, I think this would be one. And I have zero regrets from this season. I did everything I could, even my Hail Mary at the end to try to stay in it as long as I could and protect the people that I played with. So yeah, I think this would be probably, in my opinion, maybe my best showing. And then what about as far as enjoyment goes? You know what? From a fan standpoint, I was in shock so many times. Mr. Blit, first of all, there's people here. Zach Brown, the people don't come on Survivor. Outsiders don't get to experience what we're doing here. So just the Zach Brown, even though I didn't get to go while he sang and cooked and all of that, just breaking that norm of Survivor that it's just us and having someone come in and experience what we're experiencing and be a part of the game, that was my first shock. And then Mr. Beast showing up. His Feastables are delicious. Have you ever tried them? Are they better than the Wagyu Pastrami? So they're different because that's dessert and this is protein, but they're at the same level. Wagyu Pastrami and Feastables makes a good night. All you need is some champagne. That's all you need. And that's it? Wagyu Pastrami and Feastables. Listen, I think we've got our party set up for next week, so we'll be out in L.A. with you. Bring the Wagyu Pastrami and Feastables and I'm there. We'll do it. Yeah, so having the people there, what was the shock of it? Was it the shock that, because I think, was it the break from the mundane and from the routine? The break of the norm. This is abnormal. That's why I see, like, on the internet, there's a lot of people there. People online, people like, oh, Serena doesn't know Mr. Beast. I know Mr. Beast. My son was on Beast Games, right? They sent me Feastables before I even, season 50 was even, well, probably was in the process, but before I even got an offer to come on season 50, it was just a shock of, like, Mr. Beast is here on Survivor? And I know when Mr. Beast comes, great things. So my look was like, what is he going to do? And we saw a coin flip. It's a double the prize, which is there's still little fragments of my mind on that island. Still? Alone. When that prize bumped up to $2 million, did that kick things into overdrive for you at all, or was it, did that not affect your. Always the same. Like, I want the million, two, five is going to get the same response from me. There's things I would do for five that I wouldn't do for one. Well, we might be different. There, Tyson, though. No, I agree, but my game is my game, right? I was there to win regardless of the prize. My very first time on the island, I didn't even know there was anything outside of the million dollars, and I was still, I was there because I loved the game. So yeah, no, the $2 million didn't change my perspective on how I was playing. I was still going to play the same game that I played. Did it change for anybody? Did you feel a different energy when it bumped to $2 million? Oh, they lost their minds. They went berserk. Rizzo went crazy. Joe, Johnny, yes. Devins. Yes. Devins, for sure, is still in the game. Absolutely sent an injection of extra adrenaline into people's games because there's now $2 million? Oh, let me step my game up, and let me do this now. So, you know, to each his own. To each his own. But that's a mistake, right? Like, all of a sudden, they get this injection of adrenaline and they kick it into a different gear and nobody sees it. You always got to calm down and take a beat and take a breath before you make a mistake. When you get so, you ever been so amped? Like, I have to, if things are going crazy or there's full moon energy, I have to like, you know what, let me go to my office and sit down for a minute and calm down because I don't want to be affected. I want to be in control of my emotions. And I think that $2 million prize may have gotten some people, like, may have caused them to lose control of their emotions because of the adrenaline. So, I think that was a little, yeah, you should always, like, take a beat and just try to calm down. That adrenaline may have been the reason some people made the mistakes they made. Yeah, that's what I, I mean, how can it not? Okay, so, Reed, that's all the time we have right now. I'm, I wish we had more, but we'll, we'll meet up in LA and wishing you all the best. Cannot wait to see what secret, top secret projects you have incoming. Edge of my seat over here. Sending you all the love in the world. Thanks, Sari. Likewise. Thank you, Tyson. Thank you, guys. All right. Ashley, what takeaways did you have from Sari and Devins? It is so sad to not have them on our TV anymore. Like, I feel like they've been such a delight for this season. Sari has obviously been the mastermind, the mafia center of Survivor 50. And then Rick has just been, like, hilarious. He's been fun. He's been interesting. He's, I feel like, I like Joe's really cool, but like, if we had, like, a whole season of Joe's in comparison to a whole season of Rick's, I feel like one would have, like, a little balance tip. I think we need both, actually. We need season 51 to be all Joe's. Joe versus Rick. Well, Joe versus Rick or just all Joe's and all Rick's, because if you have all Rick's all trying to play crazy all the time, then who's actually playing crazy? Right. And then if you have all Joe's trying to all be honorable, but you can't all be honorable to get to the end of the game. Like, I think that there's beauty in watching both of those. Oh, yeah. Put them together, because that makes great TV. Yes, it does. I also think both interviews were quite refreshing. They were both very upbeat, very positive, very excited about their experience. And I mean, when the fans love you, I guess it is easy to walk away super excited about what transpired. I want to give them credit for being positive and joyful, and they do get that credit. But also, I guess if you're exiting and the fans absolutely hate you or harass you for the stupid move that you made or whatever, I guess it does make it a little more hard to giggle and laugh at what happened on TV. I mean, I guess part of it, too, is the way they each went out, right? I think both of them have a similarity, which is that they're like, I did everything I could. You know, I left it all out there on the beach and eventually you're just drawing dead with people who want to vote you out and you have no safety you can play. I mean, you know, Rick played a shot in the dark. Seri wasn't able to play her shot in the dark because it was too late in the game to do so. But, you know, she tried to throw enough smoke to get the vote changed or whatever. A lot different than like an Aussie vote out where it's like, oh, you just made a big epic blunder, like two epic blunders. One, sharing too much information and then two, not playing your idol or whatever, where you can like replay that in your head over and over and over again versus like Seri or Rick. It's like, well, I did everything. Yeah, I do agree. That does make it a softer knowing that you did absolutely everything in your power. And then also exiting as a big threat. Like if you, if the whole thing was like, we can't beat you in the end, we have to get rid of you. That feels better than a lot of other exits. Like, Oh, you were annoying and nobody probably feels good to go to Ponderosa and have every juror be like, Oh yeah, we're rooting for you. We're going to say that to everybody. Is that like, I don't know. I don't like it. I don't know Ponderosa and like, Hey guys. So when this person, they do tell you to go easy on the people that come in. So they've gotten heads. I've gotten heads up before. Like, Hey, this person may not be your speed, but you remember when you got voted out, it sucks. Just take it easy. And, and so they, I know that that does happen. There is a little bit, and everybody's professional for the most part out there at Ponderosa. They understand that. So I think it's, but everyone's saying they would vote for them. That doesn't happen that often. So Rick, maybe had a lot more jury votes than I give him credit for. Yeah. I mean, like he said, I mean, Siri was still in the game at that point. And like you said, he was like, I'm not an idiot. Probably if it was me and Siri, maybe that's not a hundred percent true, but everybody else. Yeah. Yeah. I can see that. Anything else? I'm just still kind of like PO that they didn't get individual episodes, a proper sendoff for both of them. It just felt like it was too, it was too tight. Both of them. Yeah. Yeah. But still happy to see them. I don't know to what extent it was just like, they're super straightforward votes. And they were super straightforward. No, no other vote outs would have really made sense. Yeah. And maybe they would have attributed more time if one of them skirted by because it would have, the amount of work that person would have had to do to stay in the game would have been incredible. So, yeah. So maybe that's where the thinking was. Also, we complained about Sia not being part of the season and now she's part of the season. She is. So she's getting her flowers. Who's winning this? Who's winning the a hundred K fan vote, Ashley, who's your pick? You know, honestly, so I voted and I, I put Tiffany just in case I wanted to make sure like she's the one that's, she's getting something. She might get 2.1 million. That's what JT got on, on a token chains. Really? Oh yeah. He won the fan boat and yeah. Wow. And at some points I think the winners weren't eligible for it or something, but now then, then I, yeah. So that point they were, wow. Wow. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. So you got a 1.1. Um, Riley. Uh, I also voted. I voted for three. So, uh, no, no shocker there. Okay. I also tried to vote, uh, but it wanted me to put my email in. So, Oh, actually, wait, that's what I did too. I actually went and I tried to vote. And then I saw that I had to put my email in and I did not vote. I'm sorry. Throw away a throw away email. That's me. Yeah. I was like, I don't want to be signed up for another newsletter, another email listserv. Like, Oh God, you have to plug in an email and then go to the email to verify, or do you get to vote immediately? So you can just put it, just put anything in. Okay. So, I put in one of my throwaway emails that I always use for silly things. Maybe Tyson, I'll just put in your email. They already have my email. Then you just put in your email. I don't want them to track how I'm voting. That's too much data for them. Uh, man, who should I vote for? That'd be the funniest vote for you. I don't know. Think about it. Don't you dare. Don't you dare Riley. That said, I clicked on Cerise face and was going to vote Cerise. And, uh, then when it asked for my email, I was like, Oh, I tried. I did everything in my power. I did everything in my power, Cerise to vote for you as fan fave. Uh, but yeah, I'm pretty calm. I'm pretty sure Cerise walking away with that a hundred K. I would be shocked if I was her. FAQs

Sari and Rick both believe they played strong games, with Sari saying this season is her best performance and Rick noting he would have won if not for the dynamics at the end. Ultimately, the winner is not explicitly stated, but both acknowledge the other's strong gameplay.

Rick performed a fake idol move at tribal council, which initially seemed like a strategic move to save himself. This led to increased scrutiny and made him a target, as the move built a reputation of being bold and unpredictable, which eventually made him a consistent target of the jury.

Rick focused on loyalty and integrity, especially with players like Emily and Christian. He believed in playing the best game possible, not just winning, and maintained a laid-back demeanor at camp, which helped him avoid being seen as overly aggressive or performative.

Rick mentioned that he planned to use a phrase involving 'Wagyu pastrami' and said, 'I can’t wait to get home and get it,' which Ozzy reportedly recognized as a clue. The actual phrase used was said to be 'teaching old dogs new tricks.'

Sari considered Season 50 her best performance to date, praising her ability to navigate the game despite early doubts about her threat level. She emphasized her efforts to protect allies and stay in the game as long as possible, even making a final attempt to stay in the final three.

The increased prize money created a surge of adrenaline and excitement, causing some players to make impulsive moves. Several castaways, like Tyson, noted that it led to heightened emotions and potentially poor decisions, emphasizing the need to remain calm and in control during high-pressure moments.
