The podcast blends humor and personal anecdotes to showcase a series of travel and logistical misfortunes. A guest recounts a weekend trip to California for a DraftKings event, which spirals into chaos: he parks a rental car in a restricted area, is booted by a landlord, and faces a $500 charge for a lost key. His return flight to New York is a disaster—his Delta One seat is replaced with a cramped, basic Boeing 737 with no beds, leading to discomfort, a 45-minute sleepless flight, and a harrowing journey home due to traffic and lost luggage. Amid the chaos, the host highlights the absurdity of modern travel, emphasizing how small errors compound into major frustrations. The episode is enriched by lighter moments, such as Chef Donnie’s comedic antics at the event and the group’s discovery of a rare, collectible Delta pilot trading card set. Ultimately, the narrative underscores that travel mishaps are inevitable, but the ability to laugh through them—like the guest’s triumphant post-incident acquisition of a full Delta pilot card collection—turns tragedy into a shared, funny story. The tone remains upbeat, celebrating resilience and humor over despair.

There's also two good weeks left of summer. Let's be honest with ourselves. And high noon to me is the apex tailgate drink. Because if you're tailgating, you don't want the after or side effects of things like malt. - No. - Coming with you into the game, into this, going into a stadium with malt. That sounds terrible to me. - That chemically aftertaste that you just so gross and sort of lingers on the mouth for a long time. - High noon, real fruit juice, sparkling water, natural flavors. I got the tequila. - I got the vodka. We got it right this time. This is the pineapple. And of course, if you are a single flavor lover like I am, they now come in full boxes of just that one flavor. It doesn't matter. High noon is your drink. - I am a peach high noon drinker myself and it comes in its own single flavor aid pack. And make sure to visit high noon spirits.com to find high noon near you. - Well, let's get into the show. I'm ready to go. I just have to open my arms and act on them. - Yeah. (upbeat music) - All right. - All righty, welcome back to the son of a boy dad pod. I'm the guest today. It is, is it September 1st or is it August 1st? - August 31st. - It is August 31st. - August 31st for us. Stuck in the past. - It's a tragedy off this morning. - It's a tragedy off. - Two tragic mornings. - And a tragic. - Mine's really not. I've just tried to move the wrong word. I mean, it was a bad, like it wasn't a bad, it was more just like funny. Like how, like, I mean, I'll get right into it. I was away this weekend, and I had a rental car. - Where'd you go? - I was up in, I was out in Pennsylvania, and I had a rental car, and I was driving back yesterday, and I had a show at SESH, I was doing Lebs Show, and I didn't have to, I was like, I don't feel like bring, I don't have time to bring the car back and all this shit, so I was like, I'm just gonna extend it, bring it back in the morning. So I parked it in my, like, right, I have a parking lot in my building, like behind my building, and I parked it there overnight. And then this morning, I was like, you know, I got ready, whatever, went outside to get it, and there's a boot, there's a boot. (laughing) - There's a boot. - A boot? - A boot on the car, and there's like a crowd of people around it, and I looked at it, and immediately just turned around, and I was like, I'm just gonna Uber to work, and I'll figure this out later. And right when I turn around, someone goes, yo, is this your car? And I was like, fuck, and I was like, yeah, and they were like, you gotta go to like the office, like the landlord's office, and they'll figure it out. So I go in there, the lady at the desk tells me to take a seat. So I'm like, oh, I'm gonna, I'm gonna be going to jail. (laughing) And they ended up being nothing. Like the guy was like, yeah, you gotta pay to park there, like even if you live in the building, like they paid spots, and I was like, all right. And he was like, I'll let you off the hook though, like no problem. And I was like, cool. So. - It was booted by the landlord. - Dude, that is such an overkill reaction for someone who ultimately just let you off the hook to put a boot on a car. - It's crazy. That's usually when it's like, this car has been parked illegally for 14 years. - It was there for like 10 hours. - This has been fucking up alternate side street cleaning for 14 years. - They don't make this model anymore. - Clearly the person has died or fled the country. - It was pretty, I was pretty shocked to see it, but my only thing was like, I assume he must have thought it was like someone that doesn't live in the building. - I see. - So maybe when he found out I lived in the building, he was like, you're fine. Anyways, this really isn't much of a tragedy, but so he on does. - So what it's worth really quick, Harry comes in and was like, I just had a tragedy of a morning and I was like, me too. - Yeah. - And then I skied on that. - Well, really mine wasn't that bad. - Which is usually how things go. - Because I know you took like a red eye and stuff, which automatically is worse than mine. - Yeah. - I really thought you guys were gonna announce the death of a living being. - Oh, no, no, no deaths. But so he comes in, he gets the boot off, he's like, you're good to go. I bring the car back to Hertz. I was going, I didn't change. I was supposed to drop the car off in Pennsylvania, which I did not. And I went back and forth with Hertz like a thousand times. I was like connected to like a live agent on their like chat thing. And I like caught them using, they were just using AI. They left the prompt in like on the message. It says, it's had co-pilot says. And then it was a copy and pasted message and they did it twice. And I was like, who's, I was like, what's co-pilot? And they were like, sorry, that was a typo. And then I, so I just got bodied by them pretty much. Drop the car off, not a big deal. I was kind of sweating it. I thought I was gonna pull up and they were gonna be like, nah, you can't, but they were, they didn't care. Then I'm ubering to the office from La Guardia. And I'm, I'm digging around my pockets and I find the keys to the car. - Oh, no. (laughing) - Oh, no. And then I checked my email and they charged me $500 for it. And then they called me and they were like, I was like, I'm assuming this is about the key and I was like, I have it, I'm gonna bring it back. And they were like, yeah. And I was like, can I bring it back in like an hour or so? And they were like, could you bring it back any sooner? And I was like, nah, I can't. So now they're like, yeah, you can still bring it back. But I'm like, I was telling Tyler, like if they don't wave that charge, I'm keeping the key. (laughing) I'm not bringing it back and still getting charged. That's crazy. - That's my cartoon now. - Yeah. I mean, I literally, I'll just keep it, I'll just hold it in my pocket. - Forever. - Yeah, I'll say, I mean, why would I, if they're gonna charge me $500? - You should put it on a necklace. It was gonna be $500. - That was seriously. - Get it iced out. - Yeah, that was pretty much it. I don't disagree with that take, you know. - Oh, no, yeah, it's crazy. I mean, but I'm assuming they're gonna, I don't think they're gonna be like this. - You need to make sure, though. - Oh, yeah, of course. - Yeah. - I'm gonna get it. I'll get the money back. - That's bad, though. I mean, I wonder if you can, would that still work on that car? - I would assume so, yeah. - I don't know, can you, I mean, I'm never mind, I'm not even gonna say anything. - No, I was gonna say, can you change the locks? I don't fall in a car. I don't think so. - To change the ignition and locks and all that. Maybe with, was it one of the automatic? - Yeah. - So you just press the button. Maybe that's easier. - I feel like that would be harder. - You know, I can see one of these things right now. Like, I can always play this out in my head now where I'm like, yeah, what I just said was probably pretty stupid. And people will get on me and be like, I can't believe Francis thought you could change the locks on the car. To that, I would say, I've never worked in car locks. (laughing) - I have no experience working in the locking mechanisms of cars. - Yeah. - That's not something I did. - I would assume I did. - Like if it's a button. - Do you remember, do you remember when I was like, dude, I saw it in Palm Beach, all these cars that were like Sheriff's cars? - Oh yeah, yeah. - And I didn't know that I was like, they have so many sheriffs down there. - Yeah. - And then everyone got on me about not knowing that all these cop cars were part of the sheriff's department. - It's like, yeah, I've never been a cop. (laughing) I've never worked in law enforcement. That's new, and by the way, cool. I was pleased to learn pieces of that. - Teach me. - Yeah. - The more have you ever committed a crime that's warranted the entire Sheriff's department, maybe one or two sheriff's departments, but that could be a sheriff and a deputy. - Correct. - Yeah. - Correct. - A bunch of sheriffs, you've never seen them all gather before. I've never had a. cop need backup for me. Yeah, that's like seeing a flock of line. No one's ever pulled me over and been like, I'm going to need the sheriff's department. No, no, never. I don't even know what that would, what you would have to do to get the sheriff. Run, you'd have to be a, you'd have to be a special kind of outlaw to get a sheriff. I feel like sheriffs are only coming for outlaws, like bay lifts and sheriffs. Oh, yeah, like that. That's old Western. Yeah. Yeah, you know, a video of a dude on a bike chase the other day. I don't know if it was real or if he was AI, but someone dropped off gas for him in the park. Bid chase, and he's like flying through the parking. Then he gets this big jug of gas and starts pouring it in. Is there chasing him? So that's pretty genius to be honest. He's the guy who's on the phone for a bunch of time. I did see that guy as well. He was like calling everybody in his phone, but he's probably asking for gas. It's like something at a hunger games. Yeah, like some wealthy sponsor was like, I've sent you some gas stay alive. As long as you can't, what were you saying? I didn't, I'm sorry for cutting that. No, no, that was really it. That was it. Okay. That was the tragedy. The real, I'll be honest, the real tragedy is that I now have to go back to Hertz. That's the tragedy. But the silver lining is that you now live very close to LaGuardia. So it's not that big of a deal. And it's going to add an extra, extra 20. I think the fact that there were two separate snafu's, both of which were your fault, but they weren't even related to each other. The fact that you parked in the wrong place and got booted and then you left with the key. Eat your fault. The key ones just so devastated. Yeah, but those are like, that's that's tragic, both of those. I've never done that ever. You've gotten boots. I've never gotten a boot either. The boot when I saw the boots, my initial reaction was like, I'm going to deal with this later because this seems like it's going to be a long process. Like I was about to text you guys and be like, I'm fucked. Like I'm not going to be able to record until 8 p.m. How do they know it was your car when you turned away and you were like, I'll do with this later. And they're like, Hey, is this your car? Cause they probably all know each other or they saw you fucking hitting the button. It was leaping in front of you. I mean, the boot, at least it wasn't like on like a boot on the street. You're done. Yeah. You're going to wait like a couple of business days to get that thing removed. You need to meet with the mayor. Yeah, the city. You got to get AOC on the line to come down. It was some kind of like skeleton came in the name of communism locked it quick. I think I could have unlocked it to be honest. It goes, I might have been like a fat. It might have been for show. She has a skeleton fertility job that can unlock any boot in the city. Have you seen now that they replaced the boot with the, they'll put something on your windshield, like a suction thing on your windshield. They like open something up and it's suction's on your windshield. So you can't see anything to drive. Turn it around that just like the head out the window. Damn. So Francis, what was your tragedy? You're up. Okay. Well, that was pretty good. Pretty tragic. Not tragic, but it's funny. It was kind of just like, I felt like I was in like a comedy movie. Yeah, you know, like Adam Sandler movie. Yeah, yeah. Series of unfortunate events. Ben Siller scribbling notes listening to this podcast. You know, I think I think in now that we are in the sort of like that classic run up to September 11th, we should do like a week of tragedies to honor the ultimate. Yeah. We've got like four episodes between now and that and the big one for tragedies. Yeah. Where it's like, you don't get your best gift on the first day. Right. Like advent tragedies. Yeah. You can open up a calendar every day and it's like a small, like a landslide in Pakistan. 4,000 killed. We never even heard about this one because we're hearing about the rental car tragedies. Yeah, our tragedies. So my tragedy. So I was in, uh, I went to California for the weekend, which, I don't know why. I mean, well, I know why I went, I went for this really cool draft Kings event, which, um, was held at Pebble Beach for their VIPs. So I was just like, I'm not a VIP. I was just shaking hands. I, I, I, I manned, I manned the, the long drive hole all day, yeah, with Chef Donnie, who might be the funniest person that works at Barcelona. Oh, yeah, yeah. I swear to God, that dude is fucking hysterical. Yeah, yeah. He, because he was starting to like, he, we were so bored. Yeah. That we, he was drinking. I was like, I'm not going to drink just cause I'm bored. Yeah. And the more he drinks, the more confident he gets that like what he's saying, we'll somehow work itself out. And he doesn't like the things that are coming out of his mouth sound like, um, Confucius sayings, but they don't make any fucking sense. I swear to God, you know, he, he said something where and I was like, well, what does that mean? He goes, well, you know, every Julius needs to find its Caesar. I was like, can you explain that? And he was like, you know, you basically like, you don't know if you're a man until you get your official title. I'm like, okay, well, that had nothing to do with what we were talking about. But anyway, the point is that he just mean those two words have to go together. I think that he just like has this random grab bag of phrases and sayings that is close at hand. And he'll toss them out and then keep moving without letting someone think about. He's dead right. Did you hear the one where he was like, if you'd see three girls who are friends, no, they're not. It's Yogi Berra ask. I mean, he's really quite like gifted in that, um, that's like 10, 10 words of like perfection. I know that's like a very economical language. So it's like, you can't blame him just saying shit. If every now and again, there's a gem that comes out of the factor. Last night, we were both, we were both taking red eyes and he was not flying on Delta, but he came to the Delta lounge to see me. And I was already in there. And he'd walked a pretty long way because he had been in a Centurion Lounge. And I was like, can I come have a drink with you? And I was like, yeah, sure. And I went down to get him and I thought I could just use a guest pass. But they were like, oh, he's not flying Delta. He can't come in. And we were like, ah, bummer. And I'm like, we like hugged goodbye and whatever. And I went back upstairs to the full of lounge. Five minutes later, he walks in. And I was like, wow, he goes, I can talk my way out of anything. And I was like, that's amazing. Like, how'd you do it? And he goes, well, I told her we were cousins and I haven't seen you in a long time. And she was like, I'm sorry. You're not flying Delta. And he goes, and then I said, what will you do if I just walk by? And she said, there's nothing I can do. I guess. And he just walked in. That's crazy. Like put his head down and like broke her rule. Yeah, that's insane. And didn't look back. And I'm like, you didn't talk your way out of that. And we're just, we're willing to fucking commit probably some kind of crime. In an airport. In an airport, it's crazy, which is what nobody would do now. I mean, he was so gleeful about it. It was fucking hilarious, dude. Yeah, you got to be on your best. I'm surprised he didn't get arrested. He was also, by the way, because he had talked about getting drink. I wasn't. I didn't want to drink. And so I was like, okay, yourself a drink. Celebrate that victory. And he went up and he comes back. I thought he was going to have a beer. He has this brown, brownish drink in a glass. Like, what is that? And he goes, rum and coke. I go, you're drinking rum and coax before red eye. And he goes, yeah, I mean, I've had like four. Oh, shit. At this point, you know, this is going to be the perfect way to knock myself out. I'm like, wow, okay. I don't, I don't hate that. I don't hate just knocking yourself out, but you really have to hit it perfectly. That's a, that's a, that's a, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I feel like people like think they're going to, I feel like it takes a little longer to get tired from drinking than people think. I feel like you kind of get like an energy boost almost especially when it's your mixer is a highly caffeinated soda. If he's having straight up rum and coax, he probably just had like 500 grams of sugar. He's like, I'm going to go to bed. Yeah. I mean, he was so funny. Getting into the delta lounge by force is fucking hilarious. I never even thought about that. He was killing. Yeah, legally, you can't stop you. Like, did he even trespass if they legally can't stop? No, she was just like, yeah, I guess I don't know. There's not much I can do. There's no cure. And he was like, well, and then he just walked past her. That's insane. Never like showed his boarding pass. No, like nothing just bang. I'm gone. If you're bold enough to not follow some of society's rules, I think that there's somewhere they didn't even consider a security breach. There's no security on site. There's no one that can even. It has me thinking about that line at La Guardia. Like, can you just, you can just, that line's kind of just for show. You could probably just walk around the metal through the line. Yeah, maybe, but they've got five or six people working at the ground floor there. What are they going to do? I can't do anything. Apparently they can. If you just walk right to the escalator, no, I'm saying like it, when you're, like, the line at the Delta lounge. Yeah, you go right past the outside line, right past the kiosks. Oh, yeah, go right to the escalator. But I'm saying, yeah, where that the kiosks are. Where all the little like electronic machines, there's just five or six people. Five or six women. Well, there's usually one guy who looks like an elder gay. Yeah, it's usually a gay or an elder gay. Sometimes Mexican gay might be I'm picturing, like,
super strong black guy really. Yeah, that you know, he's got like the vest on that is like looks like a wife beaver shirt. You know through it. Yeah, he's just that thing. Yeah. Um, basically, I don't think you can count on that. Now there's probably times where you start walking through and you've skipped the whole line and you run into the super jacked black guy, uh, Delta guy. Yeah. And you realize that you're fucked because you reach security and now you have nowhere to go. But the other 99 times, you're going to be, there's going to be no resistance. Yeah. You're not wrong. Yeah. Well, anyway, I'm going to move. Yeah, it was pretty fun. I had a great time with him. I, I, he's, you know, I think he presents or has been has been framed as being sort of village idiot, ask at bar stool, but the truth is that he's, he's quite, uh, what wonderful to be around and also pretty damn smart to be honest with you. He grew up and he went to a French immersion school from like kindergarten through eighth grade. He's completely fluent in French. So you're just, you know, having fun, gabbing in French, which, you know, couple guys, because yeah, you know, French too. I do. Yeah. Uh, when they saw you hugging goodbye, I'm surprised that they didn't all think that you guys were just a gay couple. I think they thought we were brothers because I think that's what he told her initially and then he switched to cousins. And when he realized he'd made that mistake, he was like, I'm just going to walk by you. Yeah. We're just gay. Yeah. Yeah. Dude, he was talking in French at the Delta. Yeah. America. It was pretty gay. Yeah. That's amazing. Um, he went to France with us. He, he, when we went to France for the world cup, when Caleb Buddha, Ben and I went to France for the world cup, he went as well and was like our translator and took us to like neighborhoods in France and different restaurants where like, like very like low-key, like non-tourist restaurants where we didn't speak a word of French and he ordered everything for us. And it was a fucking incredible time. It's cool. That's really cool. Yeah. Also did that thing where he worked at the restaurant. Yeah. Like last year. He opened a restaurant. He's opened his own restaurant multiple times in France. No, in America. Oh, yeah, yeah. But he worked at a restaurant in France for like a summer. I just made content. And where is he in Avignon? I think he was in Avignon. He was in Avignon. Yeah. Somewhere around there. Did you guys sing this song about the little boy going to Avignon? Avignon. Yeah, that's a classic song. All right. So, so no tragedy. No, my tragedy. We haven't even reached the tragedy. I'll be quick. I spent my whole weekend knowing that I had a Delta one bed to fly home on. Oh, no. That I was taking the red eye on Sunday night. By the way, I mean, I looked for ways to switch my flight. Of course. Of course. When I got to San Francisco, I flew into San Francisco. And it was a three hour drive in traffic with an Uber driver who, by the way, was from Afghanistan. His name was Najee. And what a guy he was. I sat up front with him. The two of us just drove three hours along the, such a long Uber. California highway. Yeah. Through lots of traffic, through Santa Barb, Santa Cruz, maybe. Yeah. Santa Cruz. And you talked the whole time. Talked a lot of the time because he lives here for 10 months of the year. His whole family lives back in Afghanistan. And he works as an electrician and a Uber driver and sends like 300, 500 dollars home a month, which I guess puts his whole family in like the 1% of Afghanistan. They're like incredibly wealthy. But he only sees his family two months of the year. He can't, he can't get them. He's a full citizen now. Can't get them over here because of Trump's like ban on Afghanistan people. It does show how good Afghanistan's PR has gotten. No. Like 20 years ago, you couldn't say you were from Afghanistan. No. No, no, that kill you. You couldn't just be bragging about being in Afghanistan. I like, this is only have to be a couple of years where you could say Afghanistan. Yeah. Yeah. He said that during the war, because he worked in the US Embassy as an electrician. Oh, shit. And that he was always at risk from the Taliban killing him. Yeah, especially if you're at the embassy. Any sort of interaction with Americans was not good. It's like Argo. You ever watch Argo? Yeah. Of course. He's great. That's your movie. Great movie. So great hair. Interesting. Different hair. Very Steve Jobs Scare. Yeah. A little bull cut. Yeah. Um, so, so you're riding with this guy from Afghanistan. Yeah, we stopped at a gas station. We got snacks. It was pretty cool. I enjoyed my time with him. Um, and then he, but anyway, the point was that like that drive was so long that I was trying to figure out ways to get home by flying out of Monterey, which was only 15 minutes from Pebble Beach. But you have to connect. And I was supposed to be golf on Sunday. I thought I was going to be playing with some of the draft Kings like clients, but I ended up just being paired with a buddy of mine, Jake Adams, who's part of a country club adjacent. They do the like back off challenge stuff. Nice. I don't know. They're, they're funny guys. They're both former comics. Oh, cool. And by the way, he plays for like a crazy amount of money. And we filmed for his channel. And I'm not going to give that away, but that should be cool. We played spyglass. But anyway, point is that like finally, I just gave in to the fact that I was going to have to get back to San Francisco to take the red eye on Sunday night. There was no other way home for me. So brutal. And I, I really prepared myself. I, I, I didn't really drink much of the weekend, but on Sunday during the match. And then I had, we, we finished it like 1 p.m. And I had like five hours to kill before going back to San Francisco. So we were just drinking, um, before the drive. Yeah. Hard. We were drinking hard. Yeah. Yeah. And are you thinking in the back of your head? Like, this is a bad idea. No, I was like, I'm going to have a bed to sleep on, pass out, not going to feel great tomorrow, whatever, but it's fine. Not going to feel great anyway. Yeah. Yeah. So we get a ride. Draft King's awesome. They sort of out with a ride to, uh, back to the airport. The Draft King's people are awesome, by the way. I kind of want to work there. Oh, interesting. Doing what? Content? Whatever they need me for. That's a, that's a place to work. Yeah, definitely. It seems like an awesome company to work for. Yeah, probably. Really? Yeah. They're cool. They seem to be having a lot of, like, do they like to joke? Yeah, they're, they're, they're having a good time. Their job is cool. Now, this is like the events people. So it looks sick. I mean, how do you get hired to be an events person at a company? Because those people look like it seems like their job is just to entertain being entertaining and entertaining clients, just being able to mix it up, play golf with people, have a drink. That's nice. Yeah. That's kind of what it was. Yeah. It's hospitality is really what it is. It's probably like, you're just like really good at sales. And you also party a lot. So anyway, um, I we get to the airport, you know, and I'm like, giddy and like kind of coming out of being drunk. Go to the lounge, hang out with Donnie, get on the flight. It's an 1140 p.m. flight, right? Sweet Delta one seat, get on the plane, walk on and I look around and I'm like, huh, these are not life flat bed seats. Oh, and I'm like, maybe maybe the captain's in the front. Maybe I need to have turned less just the cockpit just see the cockpit. And I'm looking around and I'm like probably the third person on the plane. Yeah. And I'm looking around and the flight attendant goes, oh, did they not tell you? Yeah, no, we, um, we don't have the right plane. So the plane that was supposed to take us
got lost. Yeah, somewhere. Yeah. Bermuda triangle. I don't know where. And what ended up coming was some fucking old warhorse. We got the tiny box. Some rickety, piece of shit, old plane that has just regular first class chairs. Yeah, it's tough. First class chairs. And look, I knew that this would sound incredibly. It sounds bad, but if you're expecting the bed, and you get the chair, my whole weekend had been geared towards knowing like I didn't change flights and didn't do certain things based on the fact that I knew I could sleep coming into today. And instead, now instead of like lying flat, curled up, yeah, taking, you know, let me sleep gummy or whatever, I'm sitting upright. Yeah. With my neck, just like, fucking lulling around waking up. God damn. Yeah, just nightmare. When most civilians hear about getting the chair, they're thinking of the electric chair, getting the chair is getting a seat that you thought will be dealt to one that is actually. Yeah. I mean, I would have taken the chair at that point. I would have. And it would seem like two miles or was it just one? Was it like, no, there were there were no an island. Well, there was, you know, seats on each side of the aisle. So it was laid out so you could have put them in. So it was just the older plane that they just had like the, it was like a regional plane. Do you know what the plane was? No, I don't look that up. It says a 330, gotta be a 330, right? No, it's an a380, by the way. No, a380 is the big one. I'm saying a smaller version. That would be a 330. Is there a 330 and a 350? I thought it was 320. Oh, you're asleep. Oh, he's there a 330. There's a 330 and a 350. I'm gonna have to look into that. But this was not an A anything. This was B Boeing 737. You know, this thing had fucking props on on the wings. Anyway, so what was crazy to me was that they just like everyone was punting the blame. Yeah, yeah, of course. Everyone like like, then the guy came out as we were starting to like taxi and he was like, by the way, a different guy. And he was like, I know I was supposed to come by with like, you know, champagne, pre pre cocktail drink for the first class. But I've had my hands full. And by the way, I don't really know what happened or why you guys weren't told that you wouldn't have your beds. Meanwhile, the guy to my right was pretty cool. And he clearly flies at all the times. He was like, this happens one out of eight times when you fly specifically from San Francisco back to New York is that they like lose the plane. And you end up in one of these chairs instead of the bed. So I'm Silicon Valley COO was just doing fucking loop 3 loops in the sky just having the time of their life. I don't yeah, I don't know what it did to see your ticket with that beautiful purple hue. Oh, yeah, for the Delta one. And to be so excited that as soon as we take off, I'm pressing that button and sliding down to sweet, sweet, sweet prone recline. Yeah, all of a sudden being like, all right, this is the height of comfort right here. This is as far as I get to go. No footrest. By the way, the guy in front of me reclines his seat. That seat's touching my knees. This was a terrible point. And that's why I'm opening up my Venmo to take donations for Francis for the tough time that he went through. We're gonna raise a little bit of money. He had a tough time. I'm gonna need to hire a fucking resume coach for my new job. Anyway, point is that you should have like just if you're the third guy on the plane and that happens, you should just stand at the door and say, Hey, no one else is getting on this plan. We have beds. Figure it out. Yeah. Yeah. Make these life flat. Was anyone else bitching? Was anyone else in the first class cabin upset? People were pretty like accepting. No one was mad. I don't know. No one said like, I think people were saying that to each other. By the way, one guy got on the plane and was walking back to coach and looked at us on. He goes, Oh, you guys don't get beds. You went from Delta one to this and goes, that sucks. Was he fucking with you? No. He was being sincere. I mean, do you get like a refund if that happens? Like a guy to my right who again really knew his shit. He was like, we're gonna get a credit of some kind, but you should then complain and you'll get even more. Yeah, because that's like a damn near $2,000 price difference. Correct. I wouldn't between bed and service. That's theft of service. That's over $2,000. That's grand theft. Oh, larceny. And now you got to lawsuit on your hands. Grand larceny. Yeah, because it's happened to everyone that's class action. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, you guys should all get in like a group chat together. Yeah, I know. I'm going to need everyone's number here. Yeah. What do they call that class action? Yeah. Yeah. Anyway, so I remember I did sleep for like what I thought was four hours because the whole flight was only four hours and 45 minutes. And I woke up and I was like, Oh, okay, at least I slept. And I looked at the in flight tracker. I pulled that up. I had slept for 38 minutes. Yeah, that's the worst. You were over Utah. And we still had, yeah, we still had like four hours to go. And I'm like, Oh, no. Yeah. And you were just up. Pretty much. Oh, no. Yeah. And then I got back. I mean, you want to talk. This is where the tragedy really starts to unfold to is that just adding insult to injury. We land. And I get off the plane JFK. And I'm like, where am I? And I see the escalator at the end of the series of games, the end of the airport, which means I know that I am at the end of that beach. There are miles and miles to go for a sleep jog. Yeah. So the two kids have a ground transportation. These woods are lovely, dark and deep. And I have miles to go before I sleep. And I mean, it was really, it was Gate B 54. Yeah. Yeah. No, I know exactly what escalator taught. It's the escalator down. It's the last. It's you are the at the end of the airport. Yeah. And you go up, you get up to the top of the escalator and you just see waves of people sprinting at you because you realize like they've totally underestimated how far far it is for them to go all the way. You know, I get to the fucking baggage claim. I checked my golf clubs and wait and wait and wait. The whole belt's empty. There's a bunch of guys doing construction on the oversized, odd-size baggage shoot. So I'm like, I don't know if they're going to be putting shit out there. So I want finally I get up and I go talk to them. I'm like, are you guys allowing stuff through? And they're like, no, you got to go figure this out somewhere else. Then I go to the fucking desk. They come around. They look through this door. And my bag has just been thrown into a hallway that requires a special access card. And it's been sitting there for 25 minutes. Yeah. Keep in mind. Now, now, I mean, I haven't slept. Yeah. I've been sitting there for like 45 minutes waiting for my bag. It's been sitting 10 feet from me. Yeah. And nobody knew. So they go get some the guy who built JFK. Yeah. It's got a massive key. Yeah. And he comes out and he like fucking gets my bag. Then I get it. Then I go walk to my car. I get in my car. I plug in my, it's 9.30 AM. I plug in my home address hour and 15 minutes. Oh, and it's not even like a Uber where you can just zone out. No, you have to drive. You have to sit in the traffic and make sure no one cuts you off. Yeah. I mean, it was, it was like truly traffic where we would sit without moving on a highway for three minutes at a time. Yeah. Then you go 10 feet, three minutes. Yeah. That's enough to make you go insane. Well, it's just, I remember like being, being told about this trip and they were like, yeah, do you want to do it? And I was like, yeah, okay, I'll do it. That sounds pretty cool. Never again. No, no, you don't do the West Coast now. Yeah. I was like, they were, they said they were like, we were going to send Jerry, but Jerry doesn't do the West Coast. You're East Coast. Jerry. And I was like, West Coast. He doesn't do, he's half way there. He doesn't do the West Coast. I get it. I get it now. Yeah. You got to start saying, you don't do the West Coast anymore. But dude, they, it was a cool trip, man. I mean, DraftKings does it up the, they had, they do it up. This was so sick. Like the, the bag of merch that was in your room. Oh, what did they get? Oh, my God, what didn't they get? It was like, is it DK gear? A bunch of that, a bunch of Pebble Beach gear, a bunch of like face products and sprays and sunscreens full body deodorant. I'd never seen that before. I didn't know that was a thing. That's for your penis and balls. Yeah. When they say full body, it's not for the back of your knees. That's the one place I didn't put it. So yeah, I don't know, they had like a poster, a jigsaw puzzle, all this crazy stuff. Jigsaw. Yeah. What was it of? Pebble Beach. How many pieces? Oh my God. 1000. Oh my God. By the way, I'm completely lying. They did not have a jigsaw puzzle. I just, I thought they did, but then I remembered they didn't. It was just a standard puzzle. It was a brain teaser. It's going to be used on next season of surviving bars. So
to hit a one of the first whole, um, anyway, so, uh, then they had Frank Caliando performing on Saturday night, which was really cool. He was great, got up, ripped it, super talented. And then they brought me PFT and Hank up with Frank Caliando for a fireside chat. Wait the, all of part of my take and you was there and Chef Donnie and not, not big cat though. Got it. It was Hank and PFT, me and Chef Donnie. So you and Chef Donnie and the aggregate that graph came for saying equals a big cat. Well, they didn't even bring Chef Donnie up for the fireside chat. Oh, man, really? Oh, so one for one. It was me had a nice Frank Caliando and then the moderator. How is the fireside chat? It's odd because it's like Frank Caliando had just performed and crushed. And then he doesn't know who we are. He doesn't not really. I mean, he's done, that's not true. He's done pardon my take. So I think he knew who PFT and maybe Hank were, but people are like, it's a Q and A. And they're asking Frank questions, but we all have microphones. So he's trying to like graciously share the space with us. Yeah. But he's doing it in a John Madden impression. He's like, Frank, Frank, how'd you get your start? Well, you know, this that, I don't know, I like comedy. Anyway, PFT, you laugh a lot. Like what about you? What makes you tick? Yeah, that's tough. How long was it for him though? The chat. The chat was probably 20, 20 minutes. It's not bad. That's light. I got a pretty good laugh. Of course. I was like, yeah, I've been manning the long drive whole day. It's been really fun telling all of you guys, wow, good shot, big boy. That's going to run all the way out to 210 way to keep it under the wind. Donnie's got a pretty good drive. Did you see it at all? We played together. He's got to play with me. He's got a pretty solid drive now. He's gotten solid. Yeah. Yeah. I remember, because I played with him years ago. And I remember the only thing he could do was drive. I would say his short game is better than his long games point. Yeah. Oh, Francis is saying he's got no drive. Francis. That's what he was talking about hitting it to 10. Yeah. That was a nice way of saying he can't drive. Well, we did play a whole with one group. They asked us to join them. And he was so nervous. Really? He was topping the ball. And I was like, what's going on? None of this matters. He goes, I don't know. We're at Pebble Beach. It's draft kings. Like I'm fucking terrified. Oh, my God. All good. Yeah. That was before his eight roaming coax. Yeah. The one thing that you mentioned that we glazed over, I had no idea Sawgrass was so close to Pebble Beach. Spyglass. Spyglass. No. No. No. No. Yeah. Spyglasses is part of the like collection of golf. Do so bad. I can't look at you. Part of the collection of course is out there. It's weird because people say that like people would say that they think Spyglass is better than Pebble. I don't know what those people are fucking smoking. It's people that can't get into Pebble. Correct. Holy shit. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. Yeah. I've seen it a million times. Yeah. Anyway. That's all into Pebble. That's all I'm going to say on today's episode. That was nice. I just vomited everything I mean, it was good. It was good. I'll let you take it from here. I honestly think like people are probably going to not sympathize with you for your first class situation. I think I would have handled it so much worse than that. I know you. I think I would. I thought about that. I would have been on the verge of tears. No. I was like this to Harry would be a calamity of tsunami purport. Yeah. Yeah. It would have like I would be still on the phone with Delta right now. I thought about it. I was like you would have been texting us throughout the night. Oh yeah. We would have known well before and I was like I'm not going to text them. Tell them about this because I you know, we probably wouldn't be recording right now. We honestly, we would not be. No. No. I would be like out. We have to do Tuesday. It's going to be a late episode. Yeah. Yeah. Well, imagine if you had taken like your wife or one of your hos on a flight across the country and you have fucking you're like, this is your big moment and you're like, I'm a you won't believe it. It's going to be the chillest trip ever. Yeah. Like if it's a work trip, okay, whatever, you're suffering the indignation of a little bit less travel, but this is a work trip. If this was your splurged trip. Yeah. Like another credit isn't really going to make up for that. I'm knowing too. Right. Yeah. They didn't tell us. Imagine it's the way home. Oh, turning that corner and seeing those. So it was I was I was like, surely. You're face drops. I'm sorry. I'm flying Delta one. What are these? This must be new technology. How do you guys? How do they live now? The walls come out of the ground? Excuse me. I've boarded the wrong plane. I don't know why. It's a homalone situation. I'm just ran into a man in the airport. It appears there's been some grievous mistake because I am supposed to Frances. I mean, that would truly I've heard stories of people. I remember someone telling me about a story where they had a Delta want or maybe it was maybe it was just a regular first class seat, but their seat specifically was broken. Yeah. And they had to go sit in coach and then they bring you the meal while you're in coach, which at that point, it's just like, do I save it? I don't want it. Save that. Now coach hates me. Yeah. Exactly. At least let me sit on the floor with them. By the way, this guy to my right was like laughing a little bit. He was like, by the way, if you think we have it bad, he goes are the way that the flight we were supposed to have was booked was that there were supposed to be like eight rows of Delta one. Yeah. And there were only four rows of first class, which meant that half of the Delta one cabin did get bumped to coach. Imagine. Oh, if that had happened to you, I'm suing it. I mean, warriors are getting involved. I wonder what I would have, I probably would have been like, I'm just going to get off and just rebook me tomorrow. I'm going to take a drive. That's what you just sit in the airport for a couple hours and just think about it. Yeah. I'll take the six a.m. flight in the morning and we'll ask the guys to record in the evening or whatever when I get home, because I'm not. If you guys ever like missed a flight or like or like a flight got canceled or something, you're just so fucked that you just are you're just sitting in the airport like on just don't even have a flight. You're just sitting there. I've had times in La Guardia where I've just sat there and just been like, I'm so unbelievably fucked right now. And there's nothing I can do. I haven't gotten to that level of desolation. By the way, though, like I have so much pressure in the back of my skull right now. I mean, because the A330 isn't as pressurized as the 380. The 380 has air tight pressurization. Yeah. Everything hurts. You're basically outside the plane. You're like snoopy in a cartoon. It's like a fucking scarf flapping behind you. I mean, a red eye is like there's no winning on a red eye. I think it's actually worse than like recovering from like a hangover or like being like, you feel like sick for like a week straight. Yeah. Yeah. Did you sleep at all today? I got home and I by the time the thanks of all the fucking traffic by the time I got back, I had only I slept for an hour and a half. So you're running off of no sleep. Yeah, I don't feel good. That's brutal. And I have a dentist appointment after this, which is why we went earlier rather than later. That would be an immediate cancel for me. Well, I've already already missed it last week, remember? Oh, yeah, true. Yeah. Again. No, I can't. I don't want to fall asleep in the chair. That's okay. That would be nice. Why not disrespectful to the dentist? Really? Snoring in their face. They said it happens all the time. You hear? Let's go. Open up. You keep closing your mouth. You're grinding your teeth. You're just chewing the tools of dust. Stephen Chase says he falls asleep during haircuts, which I could never imagine. That's like I don't even know if my neck's strong enough. That's a little boy move. That's so insane. You're looking at yourself in the mirror. How do you fall asleep looking at yourself? I think when you're Asian, it's like less. They're already flying. The gap to fall asleep is a little bit easier for them. Yeah, they get to sleep faster. Can you guys hold it down for a second? I had to go to the bathroom. Of course. Of course. Okay. Of course. Of course. You had your big show last night with Lev. Oh, yeah. Huge show. How was it? It was good. It was fun. There was some nasty, nasty rumors being spread about me after the show that I did not prove of that you sit in the chair. I was sitting that I sat not even on a stool in a chair. Yeah. They said that I said that I sat and that I bombed, which none of those things were true. Both of those were fake. It's okay if you did. No, I actually had it. It's okay if you sit, not if you bombed. I did not bomb. That shit is not okay, but I definitely did not bomb. I actually had a decent set solid. I wouldn't say I wouldn't say I crushed my, my, my clothes are crushed. That's for damn near applause break. No shit. No. But I definitely don't sit. What's the implication? If you sit, why is it so bad to sit? It's not bad to sit.
it's just kind of something that like, you don't do unless you're the guy that sits. - God, no, unless you're like, unless you've earned that ability to- - It's like leaning up with like the front of the 7-11, whatever, like only a couple guys can do that. - Yeah, exactly. Like I'm just not one of those guys that can sit. - You can't start off sitting. - No, no, it's also like a 10 minute set. I'm not gonna sit down for a 10 minute set. - What do people who sit do? Are they trying to project confidence? - No, I mean, it is like a thing where people sit, like big J sits, you know? Like a lot of people, there are people that sit, like Chappelle will sit, but it's mostly like people, I think it kind of like caters to their style almost. Like J's like so, like casual, but like it like comes off super casual, but he's like super quick and funny. So I don't know. But like for me, like I, there would be, it would be insane if I was sitting down. - It's not because he's heavy set, right? - No, I don't think so. - Got it. - Do you think, what do you think, if I, pretty much I did live show last night, and then live started spreading rumors after the show that I sit, that I was sitting on the stool during my set. - This is for fun. - Yeah, yeah. Which I was like, I would, he said that, and then he said I bombed. And I was like, I would rather people think I bombed than think that I sit in the stool. - There was a moment where people were doing that. - Yeah, I mean, some people do, but I really feel like it's like dependent, like me sitting was like-- - Sass of the hack. - I did not when Chappelle does his hack. - I know when Chappelle does it. - He's the one who's allowed to do it. - Yeah, no, that's what I just said. - Sass of the hack. - He's doing what Lev did, he's lying. They lied, I try to tarnish my name. - Yeah, good name. - Do you think that the first time that you sit on a stool, it's like a old guy who goes outside with a toupee, and you're like, the world's gonna see me differently? - Yeah, definitely. - It's gotta be a big decision. - I've never even-- - You're gonna sit on how relaxed I am. - Yeah. - They're gonna think of the hands. - This guy's been doing this forever, yeah. - He's always had stool. - He's so tired of stand up that he can't. - I need to be standing. I feel like I don't deliver my jokes well. - Yeah, it's like leaning forward in your video games. - Exactly. - You didn't go to the bathroom at all. - I didn't go to the bathroom because I have a really special surprise for present Monday. - Hell yeah. - This is a big one. - Let's see. - Okay, you guys know the routine. I promise you I'm not doing-- - I hope it's a high noon. - 'Cause it's Monday. - If it's a high noon, I'll be, that's all you need to give me. - No, you guys gotta close your eyes and put out your hands. I promise it's not the toilet cat, okay. Close your eyes. Look, close them. - If it's an open them yet, don't open them yet. - Well, if it's living-- - Don't open it yet. Don't open it yet. - Can I thumb it? - I'm feeling it. - Okay, I'm thumbing it. - I already know what it is. - Okay, open it. - It's gone. - Open it. - Holy shit. - This is the entire collection. - Oh my god. - Delta airplane pilot trading car. - That is crazy. Where did you get these? - Wow, SaaS didn't believe that there was a A330. We just got an A330 card. - Oh my god. - Right next to the A321 Neo. - I feel like Taylor LeWan right now. This is crazy. - One of one, A330. - Oh my god, I just pulled the team USA. - It's ripped some packs. - This is a, I got a, I got the A321 game flown Jersey card that actually has a piece of the plane. (laughing) It's got a piece of the black box. - We found floating in the ocean. - Wow, that's vintage. - That's pretty good. - Have you made this joke before? But if you hold it up to your ear, you could actually hear the pilot saying goodbye to his wife. - To make Donald Douglas maybe. - Have you, have you got these graded? - No, I just opened it. - Oh, they just arrived. - We gotta get these in sleeves. - These are, I know. - Does anyone get an A380? - So we have, we all have the whole thing. - Remember you were like, there's certain ones that are gonna be worth hundreds or you can get them all. Now we all have complete sets. - I don't know how to have an A380. - I think whoever sold you these, they held out. - They probably took all the A380s and the A380s are fucking most. - I have an A330s, A350s, I have a bunch of A350s. - I got two, I got, oh yeah, I got four A350s. Do you have the team USA1? - Yeah, I have the team USA1. One of the team USA1's by far the coolest. - That's definitely a limited edition. I don't know if we can. - McDonald's Douglas. - Punch in on that a little bit, but there's some refractors in here, like the ones that have the sparkly here, look at this one. Like this one here, A321 has a sparkly refractor. - I think that's probably what you flew yesterday. - You think the 321. - Dude, again, you keep giving, I'm telling you, there's a piece of shit, seven something. 737 will be what I guess that it was. - 737's a fairly big plan. - It's not, it's no 777. - No, of course not, of course not. I believe the 777 is the longest passenger plan. - Yeah, that would have made me sick, but thank you, Frances. We need to get these signed. - These are sick. - These are courtesy of. - You should, you know what, I'm gonna do, I'm gonna start giving these to the pilots. - Oh, you should give them your own car. - Yeah. - You should give them your stand-up card if you need a school bombing. - Let me just quickly shout out the awesome Delta pilot who hooked us up. This is a pilot shank, Mitch shank. He's the man, Delta pilot told me he wishes that he could pull some strings and get me 360, but unfortunately they have no power in that department. I believe him. Shout out to all the Delta pilots, you know? - This is sick. - Did you see Delta pilot recognize Minty and got a video with him, or a picture with him this past weekend? - No. - Imagine getting noticed by a pilot at the airport. - Don't tell me that because that's - Yeah, it's actually sick. - I can't use my experience. - No, he got the whole pack. - Minty got some of the early, the 90s cards from the Delta pilots. He is like, throwbacks, vintage. - What number is your guys team USA one? - Is there a reason I didn't get the team USA? - Hey, because. - Oh, you didn't get team USA? I've got card number 70, that's so embarrassing. It's the square one round. - Oh, he has one thing. - I got card 79. - I got card 63. - Yeah, but mine isn't. - Wait, I have card 79. Oh, hold on, hold the phone. - I have two team USA's. - Did someone give us, you have two squares? - Yeah, you only have one? - I think I only have one. Yeah. - Yeah, I know. - But are these counterfeit? - We all have the same numbers. These all have the same serial numbers. - I think it'll be just card number 79. By the way, if Captain Mitchell Shank. - Captain Shank, what kind of operation are you running here, pilot? - Got these forged. - Imagine you printed these at home. - Did you guys see the major trust issues? - There's a new prank that's going wild on the internet that people are going up to the pilot on the way out and being like, was that a first major? - I saw that, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. - Was it a first, what landing? First officer landing? - First officer landing. - Was that a first officer landing? And whoever's there will either be like, it was. No, why? - That's funny because I had a pilot recently who over the intercom told us that that was a first officer landing. - Not making me look fucking bad. - This guy was a joke-ster. He was a joke-ster. He was very funny too. - We gotta start asking him. - I guess so. I feel like that's a wild move to throw his boy under the bus like that. Well, it was a fine landing though. - Oh, okay. - Those who use gas in them. - He's gas, and that's good, yeah, that is good gas. - Or it's the ultimate act of humility if it wasn't and if it's just the pilot being like, no, he did it. - Yeah. - Hey, thank him, get his card on the way out. (laughing) - I'm surrounded by good people. - Yeah, when it's really you, when you're really the MVP, any pilot time courage you guys to do that move. You see me on a flight, pull that move or reverse card you with a Sasquatch limited edition and a Francis San Francisco rookie card. - That's pretty damn good. - This team USA one is so sick. - You're putting way too much stress on the outsides of it and you smudge them up mightily. - You need to handle them more carefully here. - You basically have no value left in your cards, touching the middle of the card. - I mean, my team USA one is way cooler than both of you, you don't even have one, so that's probably why you're being something as bad. - That's like grabbing a glass of wine by the stem like anyander fall. Like dude, you've never been here before and you look like a fucking fool. Maybe I'll try to give this to one of my hurts guys. - I'm good to hear. - Say hey, I got something for you. - I'm a pilot. - Wave that $500 fee. - Or like when you're at a restaurant or someone takes care of your bags, they ask for a tip. - Yeah. Like I got something, I'll do you one better. - Yeah, team USA. This is our version of Leo de Caprio and catch me if you can. - The white card. - Rest is up as a pilot as nine women on his arm. - I was thinking of great Gatsby, my bad. - Yeah, I was thinking of gangs from New York. - I was thinking of the white card of great Gatsby. When he gets, you know how he gets like, like they go to pull him over and he hasn't even stopped. He just waves the card and they'll back off. - Oh yeah. - That's what I was thinking. - Okay. - Oh, I'm fine with that. - You should be able to get like an upgrade if you have one of these for your upgrade. - Trade it in in person. Yeah, you really never get to trade in actual certificates anymore. - No Delta one. Does this change your mind? (laughing) - I know where this needs to lay down. (laughing) That would have been such a nice gift. I know. - Yeah, so that was my weekend. - Still very nice, Frances. I'm looking forward to framing these or putting them in an album of some sort. - Well, you can give them to your boys to chew on. - Oh, they'll have a great time chewing on those. - They'll soften those with corners up real nice. - They'll rip through them. (laughing) - This isn't a teething exercise.
- I might get like the Logan, you know how Logan Paul has like the chain with the Pokemon card. I'm gonna get that for the team to say. - That's a fun idea. - Yeah, actually quite like a perfect 10 out of 10. - Grading. - Yeah, what's the company that does the gratings? - P-something. - P-S-A. Yeah, it's a P-S-A. - A P-S-A rating. - Yeah. - I'm gonna put some syrup in between these and serve these to my kids. - I love that. - I'm gonna give it to 'em like Ratatouille, just a dish. - Was he shuffling them before he got them? Right, does he have a dad shuffling the lasagna? - Don't they have a weird, they have the bend, like he was shuffling. - Well, he put a rubber band around them, which that'll be the first thing P-S-A tells you not to do. (laughing) - Oh man. - So there's, it's not a picture of the actual pilot. 'Cause I always kinda pictured that it was that just-- - I thought it was the picture of a pilot and then the plane next to it. - That would be cool. That would make them even more valuable. I mean, they should be doing that. I would pay more for a Delta flight if they did that. Or I'd consider switching to another airline if they were making heroes out of their pilots. - That would be sick. Like if you had like the first officer one. - Yeah. - First pilot, what is it, first officer? - First mate. - First mate. - Flight attendant cards. - The poop deck. - Imagine you have like a hot flight attendant and you get her card. (laughing) Holy shit. - Holy shit, a Jenny James. (laughing) - I got a Jenny James original flight. (laughing) - You got the gay black, gay black flight attendant card. - Oh, so okay, the A350 is the queen of Delta's fleet. Delta's most modern and efficient international wide body jet, cutting edge aerodynamics, wing morphing technology, 25% more efficient fuel burn, operating costs, yada yada. It's a leader in sustainability. But that means, if this is the queen, that means there must be a king. - They 380. It might be the 777 to be honest for Delta. - I mean, why would they give us this entire deck and not have a single 777? - I think they don't. - I don't know that they have an A380. - They go 777. - They might not. You might be right about that. But if they don't, then wouldn't it be the 777? Those are like the two big boys. They gotta have one of them. I like how it says, like, how many seats there are? This is pretty cool. - These are way cooler. We're gonna have to spend more time with these. - Dude, my engines on my A350H, two Rolls-Royce Tren XWB's. - Isn't that amazing? - Oh my God. - Rolls-Royce, after all these years, is still making the engines for these things? - It's crazy. - That's awesome. - 275 seats is kind of small, though, no? - For the queen? - I think the queen would hold a little bit more. - Yeah. - Hold a couple more souls. - I wonder what big Trump is. I wonder what he's flying on. - A380, is it? - No. - And what's the movie that they're where they're taken off in Air Force One? Is it Independence Day? And like, Air Force One has to like maneuver? Oh, you had to get away from the exploding? It is Independence Day. That shot always was amazing, 'cause the fire's right on their tail. - I never seen it. - Do you think that the pilot of Air Force One can maneuver like that? - Definitely. - His plane is even maneuverable, though? - Absolutely. You've ever seen, dude, you gotta watch those videos of like the air shows where people where they do commercial planes. Like the commercial planes can do everything that those tiny fighter, not everything, obviously. But like, they can do like crazy shit. It's just like they don't, because there's people on it. Like I saw a video of someone taking off in A380 at an air show and he goes 90 degree angle straight up. Like those planes can do that. They just don't. It wouldn't be comfortable for people in the plane. - That's like having a Lamborghini getting eight Gs. Just take off for your red eye. - Or like having a Ferrari as a taxi. - Yeah. - Just like, you should go in like a horse pace. Like they never, they never hit the nose. - No, they don't. - Sad. - No, they do not. No, they do not. - We gotta get one of those air shows. - Man, I was road raging hard last night driving. I don't know what it is, but like, I just can't drive anymore. - Yeah, you should. - You've always sucked at it. - No, I'm so good at it. - No, you're not. - Just why it's so frustrating. 'Cause I'm looking at it. - It's like video games honestly. - I'm mad at it. - Would you mind not putting your stuff in the car? - Oh my god, that is actually so rude. I'm so sorry. It's a fresh gift. (laughing) - Harry is using the gift as a footrest. - A footrest. - As a coaster. - I'll put it in shoes. - I put it right on the team USA one. - Surely this $3 table that we have should not have our feet on it. Let's use the gift. - You'll leave a ring from the Stan Smiths. - I know. - The vintage Stan Smiths. - These things are taking any new shoes, bad. - Look at the bottom of them. - Can't afford them now that it hurts. Just took all my money. - Dogs are barking. It's just flaps open. - I'm gonna have to walk to LaGuardia to get loose. (laughing) - I need that 500 back now. (laughing) - It's like a hobo. You don't have to ride a train to LaGuardia. I followed a guy on TikTok that rides the trains like a hobo, like a modern day hobo. - Oh really? - Yeah. - Subways? - Like a freight train. - Oh cool. - I was wondered if that might be a good life. - It's not. - Definitely isn't. - Probably not. - Have you ever read, what is that book? - Hobo Johnson. - Lincoln Highway? - No. - 'Cause that's good. - It's by the dude that sings those songs that Bob Dylan used to play. - What do you got through? - What do you got through his book? - Did he ride the rails? - In the beginning of it, he's riding on the rails and it sounds fucking terrible. It's just dust flying that everyone's faces the whole time. - Bugs? - Yeah. And then you also got to consider your width of a bunch of other homeless dudes. So they all start fighting on the train, throwing shit at each other. Someone falls off. - You're basically in a holding cell. - Yeah, exactly. - Like the same level of people you can't leave. - I bet you could do it well now though. Like in a little bit more of a modern era. - Scott was a TikToker. Like he was like completely well put together. He was like talking through like the logic of everything that he was about to do when he was gonna go from one to another, why it was doing certain things. He knew the ins and outs of the rails. He was a high class dough away. - I love that. Get a little PlayStation set up down in there. - Yeah, play GTA. - Oh yeah. - Be sick to be playing GTA in the rails. - The new GTA looks insane. I don't know if you guys are like up to date with like the leaking in video games. It's like a big thing. So like this GTA 6 has been in development for 13 years. - Right. So they always gets leaked. They always have someone that leaks the game before it comes out and they leaked it. And then they like, I saw a video of like a body cam of like people going to this dude's house and being like you, this random guy tweeted and was like GTA is gonna get leaked on this date. He would supposedly, he claims this was just all coincidence. He has no attachment to it whatsoever. - Of course. - But like people from rockstar games came to his house like they were like FBI agents and like interrogated him in his front yard for video games. Isn't that fucking crazy? - Do they have the right to do that? Are they allowed to they have like the jurisdiction? - I don't know. - They gotta be out of their jurisdiction. - Yeah, I doubt it. - I don't think that you're living in the rockstar universe. - No, no. I mean, I doubt they like had like a warrant or anything, but I guess if he's willing to talk to them, they can, you know. - Yeah, what the fuck? - I also saw a video of Call of Duty did the same thing. They're going to like, 'cause cheating is such a big thing in video games and there's like cheat developers and they're going to the developers' houses and serving them like cease and desists. Imagine being a dude who like is just like, well, first of all, you gotta be a scumbag to do that in the first place, but imagine getting that knock on the door. - And it's rockstar games with earpieces like they're the secret service. Get the fuck out of here. - You have to feel pretty cool, I would think, in a way, because you're on their radar. You've earned the house call from your heroes. - I feel like you probably gotta feel pretty like ashamed. - I don't know. - Probably not. Those guys probably make so much money. It's so fucking crazy though. How many people cheat in video games now? - You just be bad at the game. - Buddy, you just sucks. - Like you're like you're blaming cheating. You're just bad now. - Me? - Dude, I don't know. - I don't know. - I don't talk about me. - Yes, dude, you're not good at video games anymore. - I'm saying, that's what I just said. - No, you're bad, like everyone else. - You're saying that everyone cheats and it's like, it's not fair to you. - You guys have no idea what you're talking about. - You're saying there's no way for you to be good because the whole table is unfair. - Well, first of all, that's not a problem for me because I'm not in good enough lobbies to be getting plays against cheaters constantly. But in every game I've played, I've come across cheaters many, many times. It's just not like a super frequent thing for me. But if you're like a higher level player, the only people you play against are cheaters because they're the highest level. - Cheaters are? - Yes. - Or they're really good. What about the really good players? Planting gets really good players. - No, it's like very, like, it's like obvious blatant. Like they're spinning around rapidly in 360s, hitting every single shot. Like it's not like, it's like, there are like minor types of cheating, but there's also like the hardcore cheating. - I kind of get it. It's like playing Madden on AllRookie. You just sometimes you play video games you just want to get a win, but then just
do that, just play Madden on all rookie, you know, like play Call of Duty against bots. You can set up a bot lobby easily. If you want to like feel like you're you're shitting on people. Just set up a bot lobby. You think Francis? I think that if that's what you're going to do, if you're going to want to cheat, you should just do a bot lobby. Exactly. All right. It's actually a great point, which I said that first. Francis, I do appreciate that you said that. Well, you know, I found it deep within the fumes of my stupor. Yeah, I can't believe how did you eat anything in between this flight of yours? You feel up. I just saw you actually crushed a smoothie. But your body will thank you for that. Yeah, that's that's a good treat for the organs. I love that. I had to wake up wraps. Personally, too. Damn. How many cows is that? I think they're about three 10 each. That's not bad. The Orbis Recon. That's one of my favorites. It's like apparently it's what they used to use to make the nicest rod now. So it's like similar, but it's way cheaper. But I haven't been able to use it at all. I haven't been fishing at all really since Wyoming. I'm thinking about getting a car. I was thinking about getting a fucking a very small boat. Would you like to go in with me on that? For what reason? I don't know, but like the smallest boat you can get, but parking it at like the Brooklyn Marino and just having it in Brooklyn and being able to take my boat out onto the East River and the Hudson, just going around New York. Wouldn't that be kind of nice? That would be nice. What do you think about that instead of a car? We all go in on a boat. I don't know if I would want a boat for like, here. Yeah, but you could probably find a nook and cranny. You go out to Throgg's neck. There's probably a honey hole. Yeah, but I would rather get a boat that I can put on like a trailer or something and take it to like a fresh water. But being able to city bike over to your boat, you never need a car. Yeah, city biking over to your boat that's in the Hudson and then getting fucking bodied by like a freight boat or whatever. Or the beast. Have you seen the beast that rips up and down the East River? I don't think so, please boat. No, it's like a boat that you like that has like a smiley face of like a shark on the front of it and it like does like 180s in like you get you're supposed to like splash up the East River water on you. It's like a wild ride. That sounds great. Get a splash by the beast while you're on your little dinghy up to Throgg's neck. Get a splash by just a shit ton of chemicals and waste. Yeah, your hair disintegrates. Is it burning for anyone else? Brad, just get in on this boat with us. I will. I had a friend who had a boat in a marina in the one that's in on the waterfront in Brooklyn. Yeah, that's the one I want. Yeah, and he told me I don't think the slips were the slips were not as expensive as I had thought they would be. I don't remember what it was, but they weren't that expensive. Effectively, you could get a boat, park it on one of those slips and then I presume sleep on your boat and not pay rent and that's your home. Yes, interesting. Is there any sort of tax breaks for living on a boat? I doubt it. There's a guy, another TikTok that I follow a guy who's like floating in like Tennessee down like a river or something like that and he doesn't pay any taxes to anybody. And the only rule is you have to like move every like 14 days or something like that. Interesting. And you just have to keep your little houseboat floating down the river. No boot on the boat. You can't boot a boat can't boot that up can't boot a boat. You just float a little bit more down the river. And he's like he's also a Tik Toker. He can like film his little videos. He just I think he paid a thousand dollars total for it. And now he just floats down the river professionally. What do they call a Foundering the Motor? Is it found Foundering it? What were you fouling fouling the motor? What does that mean? You know, there's illegal like wailing boats that the government will stop and they'll throw nets in front of them so that they catch the propellers to fouling. Yeah, I've never seen that. No, it's like strip of car. Yeah, it's yeah, poaching boats and stuff like that. But that's what you're describing sounds like Huckleberry Fin. Yeah, I'm just talking about a bit of a Fin situation. Guy living on a raft. But it's like a modernized version of a raft. You know, I think that it's kind of you can live off the grid and pay nothing and not be a bum. They're not even doing that, though. These are all faked people that are making TikTok videos from their parents' boat. It's like I live on this thing and I float every 14 days. You know, he gets on the boat for an hour and films. It's not a kid, it's like, oh, that's old man. These are, it's not like a glamorous well edited video. It's like that kid that was doing those videos like where he was like, I live in the smallest apartment in New York City. I remember that kid, he came on the yak and everyone was like, this guy's a superstar. And it was a set that he was living on inside of a 5,000 square foot studio. Industry plant like that girl. I saw that. Yeah, the girl did the song. Yeah, well, that girl came to the office. She's not an industry plant. What do you mean? I was natively following her TikToks before this song came out. Yeah, Ron's a big fan. Ron's got the call from her dad. He's getting an extra M. This is fucking extra M around Christmas. You want a boat? I can sort that out. Music, some meritocracy. Bro, you either like music or you don't. Bro, it's clearly, she's clearly an industry plant. Can't help but think about you. She's got fucking still a lefty. Yeah, she's got fucking dude. I brought her up on like a year ago. Yeah, I mean, that's fine. She's not industry, bro. But you're the only person that knows about her. That's not true at all. And she's like doing like TD garden. I've realized that I've never heard that entire "Ella Langley" song. And it's trending to be the like number five song that's ever been listened to by human beings. Another indistert plant. No, she's not, bro. She came from the mud. She's poverty. Industry plant. Anyone who, anyone who all of the sudden becomes like an A-list celebrity overnight, industry plant. Just because Don't you was an industry plant and she was your favorite. And you got the wool pulled over your eyes. No. You used to come in here being like, "My anxiety is somebody's watching me." But that Stella lefty girl is literally the definition of an industry plant. No, she's not, bro. If she's literally. How is she? What do you mean, how is she? Don't play stupid, just because you're a fan. You can be a fan of her music and also admit that she's an industry plant. What does that mean that she has a label? She came to bar stool immediately. I was like, "That's odd. I've never had no idea who this person is." And all of a sudden, everyone at the company is lining up to take photos with her. When was the, like, a couple months ago? Oh. Tommy Smokes has taken photos with her. He doesn't know who she is. Everybody knows who she is. Like, just because you're a fucking cosplaying as a 65-year-old, fucking retired PGA tour player, that doesn't mean that you have to fucking act like there's not people who listen to you. This is a bad argument. I actually, like, I feel bad. I don't even know if I want to take it any further because I think you're going to get, like, you're wrong. I think you're wrong. I think you know it, too. That she's an industry plant? Yeah. But I, I independently-- You are allowed to like industry plants. I mean, yeah. What can you tell me what an industry plant is? It's someone that no one knows about, and then all of a sudden has a stadium tour booked. Because what? Why? Like Michael Jackson, like, industry plant. Michael Jackson was, like, the most talented guy ever. Oh, just like Stella left. He's getting paid. You must be getting paid for this. Is the idea that they-- They're breaking you off a piece. That the powers that be decide-- Her dad is the founder of Grubhub, or of a Groupon. Groupon? So you're accused of a groupon? 36 billion. A Neppo bait. Noted star-discovering companies? Exactly. All of the biggest artists have come from Groupon. Because people are going to use Groupon's to get tickets to our shows. By one, get 700. No, but like, like, she has not really yet-- She has what one popular song popular? She had at least three before that. We'll be slow dancing with the lights down low. That was a bop. She had "Can't help but think about you." And then she had "Fuck," 'cause you don't listen to music. I listen to music all the time. You listen to like the spoken word of Andrew Santino.
No, no, no, no, your favorite podcast. No, I listen to a lot of them. You're a spoken word guy, and that's okay. I listen to a ton of music, and she's never come up on anything of mine. You're listening, 'cause you listen to Blood Hound gang. She apparently, she plagiarized her biggest song from Noah Kahn. She like stole his song, and then she claimed that she had, she doesn't even like think she was like, I never even thought about that song. And then people found there's like 17 TikToks of her singing that song. This is the side you're on, plagiarism. That she had the same chord progression as him. It's the same song. There's like five chords. It's the same exact song. Seeing them. Bro, this is a Noah podcast, by the way. Of course, Noah is a sound like he's got. Noah gets paid off that song. He's a writing credit because that he was either that or she was going to get go to jail. She was never going to go to jail. If somebody's, if someone makes music and it's good, that's not being an industry plant. You could say she got, she's NEPO, because she had the way to pay for the best studios and people like to collaborate with her. You can't get a tour, the size of the tour that she does booked without the entire industry backing you. It's not possible. If you're famous on TikTok, fucking executive who like writes their meal plans via chat GPT will instantly give you a tour. No, you have to have a ton of news in the industry. If I were to start, like, if I wanted to all of a sudden just book an arena tour, I literally cannot do that. Because I can't call him. You're not so lefty, bro. Let's book MSG because you're not still a lefty. Is that because your dad didn't work hard enough? I guess. Yeah, because you never, well, if your dad had to tell you that big idea, famous enough to be doing no one knows who she is. You don't know who she is. No one knows who she is. There's comics that have stadium tours that like most people who watch TikTok don't know about. But they have, they are selling tickets and they've already proved that they can sell tickets. She has proven that she cannot sell tickets. She hasn't, I've seen shows of her where she's sitting at like a children's baseball field. This cannot be true. I promise. You're talking about how you've, like, investigated the empty seat capacity of her shows. I've done that for everyone. I know you do that, but I don't think you did it for Stella. I don't think you did it for Stella. I think this is just a new thing. You're going to naturally take Ron's side here, which I understand. No, I'm actually not. I'm in the middle on this one. Frankly, I'm tired to actually be part of this one. Ron's typically the one that's right here. I'm right in this scenario. He's so unbelievably. You just have a terminally online. It's actually like it's hard to have the conversation right now. You have like the, the, you're echoing the echo chamber. So you saw someone write this about her and you're regurgitated. I was saying, I was saying in this way before anyone was saying, I was saying it. You were saying it before she was famous that she wasn't famous. I was saying it. I was like, cause I was like, who is this person? And then I looked her up. I'm see cause there's, there's videos of like everyone at the office being like, they're like, oh my God. And I'm like, did she has a top five song? The video, the video come, the video of the people in the office meeting her came off. Like they were like, like they, like, I mean, you can tell us the, I mean, I know you probably signed like an NDA or something. So you probably can't get too into it. But you're clearly getting a percentage of the tour. Dude, I just thought it would be a good idea if I heard it capitalize. Well, the TikTok audience was still writing, right? - Exactly. - Why do you hit her so much? - I don't, I don't hit her at all. - He just has an idea of like what nepotism is. And it's like, yes, I agree that you shouldn't be like, gifted the CEO of the company. If you're a fail son who just is like being propped up in front. But like people who started listening to her music online, they didn't find out until later that her dad was this famous guy. So it's like, if you like somebody's song, that doesn't have anything to do with who their parent is. - I wanna look at it. - So did you listen to Magnus Ferrell's song? Will Ferrell's son? - No. - No. - Is his musical out to be good or? - No. - Is he quite, is he's a musician? - Yeah, he has good music. He also came into martial offices. - Yeah, he's a cool, but that's cool. I mean, that's a cool thing to know is that Will Ferrell's son. He makes like Robin thick style music. - Oh, I like sexy. - And like, I know you want it. - Yeah, it's just like that. - 17 million monthly listeners. - And it's like unless you came from the slums of Mumbai, Sass isn't gonna fuck with your music. - On what Spotify? - For who? - Stella Lefty. - And you think that's manufactured or do you think that they sold the tour based off the realistic listeners? - I think they got, I think it's like, you opened like Stella Lefty's living room and it's got one of those servers where there's like seven million phones. - A click farm. - Seven million phones. Just playing the song on repeat, on 5x. - Like Indian dudes with like a bunch of mattresses behind. - Yeah, yeah. - It's pretty hard to not know someone at all. Like you've never even heard this person's name. - I don't know, shit man. - And they're one of the top listened to hurt people on all of Spotify. - Like that's up there with like Ed Sheeran. - She's popular this summer. - You're like, you're finding out for the first time that new music comes out. - I know, I listen to music and I keep up with the new music. And this is, this is out. It's just like when Chapel Roan, all of a sudden, she's headlining the biggest concert of all time. And it's like, where did this person even come from? - Do you think she's an industry plan? - Oh yeah. But I think Chapel Roan's really talented. - She is? - Then I don't entirely understand your point here. - You're saying that industry plants, I mean, like anybody that has a label backing and is pushed as an industry plant. - Yes. - By his, he's like, in sync with industry plants. Not because everybody loves them. - I'm just saying, I don't think it's possible to get to the place that some of these people get without the backing of the titans of the industry. - So let me ask you this. One direction was formed by Simon Cowell, when all those guys separately auditioned or whatever for fucking the X factor, or Britain's got town or some shit. And he was like, okay, well, individually, they're not that great, but I'm gonna put them all in a band together and they became one of the biggest bands in the world. - Yeah. - Is that industry plant? - Yes. - Don't tell me jelly roll is an industry plant. Our brother, jelly roll. - Don't make me say it. - Don't, bro, wait, wait, wait, wait. - Yes. And dude, we have you in 4K, par laying with jelly roll. - I like jelly roll is a great guy. - But you're saying he's industry plant now because that's someone you said was your brother and he's threw your head back laughing with him. - I never thought that he was my brother. - I did throw my head back laughing with him, had a great time, much respect to jelly roll, but you don't, it's not like you just randomly become the guy that's hosting every single show and you're at every single thing. - Or someone just gets-- - Someone's making the call saying, we need jelly roll here. - Is it not possible? Because I'm asking this because it's something that I've seen where someone realizes that a new hot name has done something that's popped and then all of a sudden everyone wants to capture that too for their own benefit. - No, then that is what it is. - But that's not necessarily like, we're gonna keep featuring this person in order to push them forward. It's we're going to feature this person for our own benefit. - Sass can't differentiate between someone being marketable and being an industry plant. - Correct, that seems like what you are-- - There is, there's no difference. - Confedient. - I think everyone is an industry plant to an extent. - Well, what if someone sells out a comedy stadium or what if this someone sells out a football stadium doing comedy? Is that industry plant? - Of course not. (all laughing) - You're gonna try to get me to talk bad about my brother Shane, I never will. - Well, I'm just trying to see where the line is. - I can tell you from the mud. He was eating jelly beans. - He was eating out side fuckin' freestyle and an annual-- - The left he wasn't eating beans, like Shane was. - Jelly roll was eating beans. - So was jelly roll. Jelly roll was. - Yeah, that's what I'm saying. - I can tell you definitively that I am not an industry plant because I should have been. - Right, right. - Yeah, yeah. - And nobody has pushed me forward. - It's almost sad to me that I feel like I could have been. - And they were like, no, he's not good enough. - It's tough. - It happens. Look, it happens. - At least you're not an attempted industry plant that fails, you know? - Oh right. - You got recalled. - Yeah. - RFK recalled, pull you back. - Yeah, they never. - The blueberries are back. - Yeah, they never pushed me forward. - But the still a lefty thing, like I just feel like there's way more that happens and goes into it than like people think. Like maybe more than I think. Like I think it's just weird when no one is talking about this person, no one knows who they are. All the sudden, Ron brings them into bar stool and then I didn't know where. - Her people did say I was the first person to talk about her in a podcast. - And then I didn't know where it's like, you can't go anywhere without seeing this person. It, to me, it seems like the money just went through. Like the investment was just put into place. - It was almost a piece of like insider trading. - Yeah, and I think, like, I mean, I think it involves clip farms. Are you guys aware of these clip farm things? - We're just talking about one. - Yeah, but this is like an actual thing that like regular people do and pay for. - Of course. - Like you pay and they have, they have like seven million accounts and they just start clipping all of your shit and posting on all of these accounts. - I don't know if it's clip farm, but I saw that the Dude Dan Rappaport who used to do golf at bar stool has more followers than Dave now. - Oh yeah, you think he got bothered. - Oh yeah, I bought it. - What's that? - What's the difference?
on Twitter. I don't know why I don't know why people do it, but people randomly just get like a million bot followers. Oh, yeah. Well, Lord, please bought me. Oh, well, there's no benefit. And if anything, it probably kills your engagement. What do you mean, Betton? No, I'm being high, bro. That's all people. That's what they sell the ads against. That's true. He could probably get a world tour right now. Yeah, he probably could. What a sell left. He just got bought it. Probably good. What if she just got bought it? Are you going to blame her then? Yeah, no, I wouldn't I wouldn't blame her for getting bought it. I'm just I just am curious like there's a lot of artists out there who have these massive, massive stadium tours, and it's like, I don't know a single person who listens to the music or is going to the shows. You're this is like the like the music. Do you get a call like to someone like it is like am I the only one not getting the call? Like, hey, you're going to the Stella lefty show. We're paying you $10,000 to be there. Are you talking to me? No, I'm talking around. Ron's had enough. No, I'm here for it, but like he's waving the white flag. Let's go through the stand of comics that have done like arenas this year. Okay. And I'll see how many of them like I'll tell you which ones are plants and which ones aren't. The thing is I don't really think comedy is really like are they industry planting? I know someone that you would say is an industry plant in comedy. I know for a fact, you would say this person has. I've got a couple. The impractical jokers. No, they came from the from the roots, the roots of comedy. It's a staple. Allie Wong. Now she's doing arenas. I feel like it's been around forever. Okay. I mean, I don't, she was from she was from beef. That's this lady from beef. She's great. Yeah. She's great. Her first couple of specials were very good. Yeah. I mean, I know more about Stella, Stella lefty than Allie Wong. But Allie Wong's been doing comedy for like 400 years. Stella lefty. Stella lefty started making music two weeks ago. You go to like a fucking funny bone in Hartford, Connecticut. And there's a picture of him on the wall when he looks unrecognizable to who he is now, which means he was there like 40 years earlier. Stella, like how long has Stella left you been making music? She's like 22. So not long at all. She's young. How do you naturally get? How do you naturally get from I don't make music at all to I'm now doing stadiums a year later with zero support. But isn't this just like a phenomenon that we love in show business is like discovering the unknown and then elevating them overnight, overnight success. It's overnight success. Why does that have to have the only to me the only thing that's like suspicious here for you is that this woman, this girl has a billionaire father. And you're saying because of that, it excludes her from being able to be a musician. I'm not saying it excludes her from being a musician. She can be a musician if she'd like. Same way that James Donnell is. But usually you see people like put more years into their craft or their effort or put more effort into it. Because she didn't do it before they're doing stadiums. Because she wasn't downstairs because she didn't do live show. I don't think that's how it works in music. I think I think like kid musicians. I mean Hansen. Do you remember the band Hansen? Never even heard of it. Bob. No. Oh, but I mean to his definition industry plant to a lot of people growing up is like, oh, you got signed by. Yeah, they got signed. And so that means they're going to throw some gasoline on you and you blow up. I mean, a lot of people will probably say go into bar stool as industry plant. Like, oh, Lil Sasquatch, this guy from the internet that nobody's ever heard of industry plant. Hold the phone. I had 400,000 followers before I got hired. Yeah, but you probably got bodied. Like, this is like the same as rap. Now that's just disrespect. Well, you disrespect the rap before. Look, let's be honest. I know your dad owns the entire Minneapolis airport. So don't try to tell me that you're not a plant. By the way, like the Jonas brothers. And my point is that these were kids that were like talented musicians, and they were jamming and doing shit. And then like some fucking talent scout from an agency saw them signed them and then put money behind them and gave them proper studio hours and like a good, you know, fucking engineer, like Olivia Rodrigo. Would you say she's an industry plant? She's so talented. Hold the phone. Her voice is amazing. Oh, you're coming off anti-women, bro. This is very anti-women of you. I don't think this is anti-women. This is just I'm speaking about the state of the industry. You're like young women suck. But no, would you say Olivia Rodrigo's an industry plant? I think she's talented. But is she an industry? I'm not saying she's not talented. I'm saying is she an industry plant? I don't think she's an industry plant. She's multiple good albums. So it's like, I don't think she's necessary. And I don't mean to throw smoke at worst. She may not be writing her own songs. But that to me doesn't that's true so many musicians. I think that we have maybe have different definitions of industry plant. And then that's that's the crux of this issue. Remove it. That might be. Yeah. I just feel like if you're like an actor and then all of a sudden you're a musician, it seems like to me they were like, okay, the acting's not working out. Let's throw all those resources. Completely. You're pivoting your argument now. That's a totally different take. Honestly, like a lot of people online are saying that she's an industry plant, but you've done such a bad job. I have defending it. That is like she's she's kind of off the hook. I know she's now she's sat next to all these other people's terrible argument for me. I don't know what have soon as we started talking about it, I just like my brain went into a fall. Like trying to think of all my reasonings and I just can't because you hadn't heard to defend the position. She hasn't even been making music that long. I got nothing because I've been I've been honing my argument against this and it can seem like you were way more prepared for this because I've thought about I've thought about lefty, bro. I've thought about this conversation. I've been wanting to have the conversation. Oh my god. Can I tell you guys a quick, funny story? Actually, you know what? Oh, I want to just not do that in case we want to keep talking about this. Oh, no, no, no, no, actually, I was probably ready for the story. I wait for the white flag. I was waiting for the white flag. I've admitted failure. She's she's she's came from hard work. And I now will admit that they gave me a 3% of her future earnings on the next two albums if I pump her on bottle. Yeah, that's a lie. I gave you something for sure. A little sprinkle on top. A little powdered sugar. Um, a lifetime of free group ons. Why are you going to another group yoga class? Why a wine tasting? Cohen Softball. Actually, I don't even really know what Groupon is. It's like if you go to like Disneyland, you can get like so it's coupons pretty much for group for groups activity. Yeah. Wow, I should have put that together myself. The buy one set by one gets 700 was my peak of that argument. That was fun. Everything else was there's a catastrophe. Yeah. You should have changed the subject right then. I like that. All right. So I do into dark waters. Yeah. I have a very dear friend. I think I've spoken about him before. Um, one of my closest closest friends. He's a brilliant guy but has no, well, I don't really know how to put it. He tends to make mistakes on a human level that sort of give evidence of maybe a lack of exposure to some degree, to like things in life. And he said, what's that? Was it urban? No, no, but, but that's a good calm meant meant. No, God no. So you're playing golf with mints? No. My buddy texted our group chat and he goes, I have something to tell you guys and I, you can only make front of me for it tonight. After that, it has to be done. We were all like, okay, awesome. Yes. What is this going to be? And he goes, so we are moving offices. I have a water bottle that is not see through. And, uh, I opened it up and noticed that there was what looked like some dirt, uh, in on the inside. And it turns out it was filled with mold. I've been drinking out of it for four years. He goes, I didn't, it didn't even occur to me that you had to wash it. Yeah. I thought the water washed it. And he goes, I genuinely think this has been the reason that like I've been getting sick and affecting my life and all of this. He's been drinking out of the same water bottle with that which holds. He doesn't like open the top and let it dry out for four years filled with mold. That's brutal. He's been backwashing into the same water bottle. Like that bacteria is him. That's from him. It's not from the water. It's from his fucking mouth and fucking the other shit he's eaten in his germs. That's brutal. That happened to bow. He did the same thing. Not four years though. Four years. I mean, there must have been a lot of molds. Boy, the water from our coolers got this weird. I don't know. He's feeling just feverish after the drinking water. That is fucking brutal. And there's no one he can blame or sue. It's not like a class action lawsuit or you're molding your apartment building. Like you're just going to have to eat it. It's so funny to me because his reasoning does make sense. Yeah, you wouldn't think. You're like, why would I he was like it never occurred to me that I would ever need to wash this. It's just water. I mean, what like how often are you supposed to clean a water bottle? Every couple of weeks. Yeah. Maybe maybe once a week. Just throw it in the dishwasher. Yeah. Yeah. I guess that would make sense. All right. I guess when you start seeing mold, it's probably good.
the time to start cleaning it. - Was it metal? - I don't know. - I don't know. - I don't know. - Like a Stanley. - Those metal swabs are all like that. - Yeah. - Do you guys have your water bottle? - No. - Like a go to water bottle? - My body armor. I do, but then I lose them constantly. - Some people have, I mean, girls, love to have a fucking water bottle. - Yeah. - Feel like mold. - Yeah. But there's like trendy ones to get. It's like an accessory for them. - Yes. - It's like a purse. - No, stand up. It's been like the Odwala. There's been like a bunch of iteration since the Stanley. The fact you said Stanley, that's like being like supreme is the best brand. You're stuck in 2016, brother. - Stanley is the industry plant of water bottle. - Yes, it's an industry, like where does Stanley come from? Who is Stanley? - I'm not as easy to touch. - Who's Stanley's dad? - I'm not as in touch with the female teen cultures round. (laughing) We listen to Stella Lefty and use, and we wear pink on Thursday. No one is using Stanley's anymore. We're all over that. (laughing) - We're back to Hydro Flask. (laughing) - Oh, that's what I was thinking of was the Hydro Flask. - Okay. - Not even. - Not even Stanley. - Not even Stanley. - That's like, right, it's an outdated reference. - You know, who is Stanley, it's Stanley Lefty's. (laughing) Stella Lefty's dad is Stanley Lefty. (laughing) - Stanley Lefty. (laughing) - I'm Stanley and Rupon. (laughing) - We met at the Left-handed cup. (laughing) - It hadn't existed before. - Yeah, but I mean, have you ever cleaned a dog bowl out after they've used it for a week? - That's gross. - And it smells. - And it's like, I guess a dog's tongue is grosser, but there's like a slickness. - Yeah, there's also like a film over it. - Yeah. - There's like water left in it. - Yeah. - By the way, you said the dog's tongue is grosser. Every dog owner will be like, well actually, dogs, mouths are supposed to be much cleaner than humans. And I always know that those are the people who are constantly like open mouth kissing their dogs. - Definitely. - Justifying. - I hate that when people do that. - When the dog's tongue is in the mouth. - Not, I mean, that's fucking insane. I think there's no beating around that. But I hate even when people that are like, the dog's just like licking their face like crazy. I get it. I do understand it. - Doesn't sound like you do. - But it's a little much. You do it. - I've done it before. - You do it. And then you throw on some still lefty in the background. - Can't help but thinking about you. The, I mean, I don't, I'll like try to go past my dog's face and give them a hug. - Yeah, yeah. - But if they give me a lick on the face, I also know that that's like damaging for the dog psyche. If you push them away, when they give you the lick on the face. - Oh yeah, I mean, there's nothing wrong with, you know, if you get a lick, I'm not saying, you gotta start, you gotta shove the dog across the room. - Yeah, yeah, get the fuck off of them, bro. - Fucking gross, but you know I don't like that. (laughing) - I'm talking about the people that sit in it. - Do you, did you ever open mouth kiss your dog? - Uh, I think it's like I would let Ruby lick my face and then sometimes I'd be laughing and she'd get the tongue and I'd be like, oh, oh, oh. I didn't, I wouldn't want it to continue. - You're, you're cold. - No. - You're a cold, cold old man. - No, no, you are. - No. - I don't like the music the kids are listening to, don't like you. - Maybe you run it all, kiss me. - I'm running a little cold today after this whole hurt situation. - This is the hottest I've ever been. - Yeah, it's really fucking hot in here. - I have to go to my dentist appointment. You guys can keep podcasting if you want, but I can't miss it for the second week in a row. - No, I think we're well over time. - Oh, shit. - Oh, god, dude. - Yeah, all right. - Get the fuck out of here, she's just crushed. - Yeah, all right. Thanks everybody. - All right, we will be back on Thursday, goodbye. (upbeat music)
