Stanford Steve Previews the 2026 CFB Season and Jason Katz on Jaxson Dart’s Fantasy Potential

[MUSIC] Let's roll, baby, welcome in. It's a very early Thursday day. Should have de-arcated the arc of his VJ challenge. It's going to be a surprise surprise because I am off to a horseshoe farm with Ian Logs, maybe Ian Wife. I was like, let's push the pot up and let's do it Wednesday and the Thursday and surprise you on your feet. Really excited for this show. I am starting to get the football edge. So in order to help me get the football edge, Stanford Steve is one of the best people in the business. College Game Day, all ESPN betting shows, bad beats, VanPel Sports Center. And we've linked up a couple of different times over the years. And I said, Steve, you're over there, you've got to come on the pod. You've got to help the GIP people out thinking about what next year's quarterback is going to look like. People want to hear about, hey, the giants, the commander is going to be the team that ascends within the bottom of the NFC's this year. So the great Stanford Steve, who is just an awesome awesome dude. He will be with us while I'm still on and we'll talk to the meds with him as well. We'll have a reliable. He's back for yet another season, helping you pick fantasy winners, Jason Kads over pro football network. As you are like draft preview, who we like, who we don't. And I can tell you this, if you're a giant fan listening to this show, at least from a fantasy perspective, you are absolutely positively going to love what you hear from Mr. Katz. So Stanford Steve, in the Jason Kads, Bing, Bang Boom, really media interviews. You guys are going to love every minute of it. Now, some baseball they get to. Hallelujah, the Yankee squad a couple of runs. Who is that team on Tuesday night on Wednesday night? I should really preface it Wednesday night. Because Tuesday was, you know, the usual games. We're scoring, finding a way, pulling a game out of, you know, they're rewriting that's what they've done over the last month. I should rephrase Wednesday. Who is that team for what happened to Yankees? Because that was incredible to watch. The Yankees get single, single, double after double, overcoming a lackluster start from low orange. And he's incredibly frustrating. And in no way, shape or form should you take this commentary as an endorsement of Tranquisham season. But you've seen over the last couple of games. And you saw specifically on Wednesday why Tranquisham still matters for the 20, 20, 16 year games. When he gets hot, he gets hot in a hurry. He gets late game hits. He gets big hits. He drives the ball out of the ballpark. The Yankees need Tranquisham. They do. We can talk about some of the other positives going on within the lineup. Christian's in a lead-off spot. He's in a primary position. The Yankees need him in the absence of Belichard in the absence of Judge in the absence of Sten. And if you think about it before, he went on the injured list. Christian, for a couple of weeks, was carrying the Yankees offense. To the point where I was sitting here on the pods telling you, hey, cashmins look good. Forgive them. That's $22 million qualifying offer. Then he comes back from the injury. He goes completely in a tank and he's been awful. But now you look at Tranquisham season. 15 homers at 50 RBS. It's okay. A 730 OPS is okay. But it's the idea of being able to maintain this because it feels like when he goes in many ways, the Yankee lineup goes. And that's what he saw on Wednesday. Christian had three hits in four RBS. And what do you know? The Yankee scored 10 runs. They got a couple of hits from Rice today, which they need because he's been in a monster, monster funk. You remember when Ben Rice was hit north to 300? You remember when Ben Rice had no PS over a thousand. Look. He got a 8.895 and all that power is still pretty damn good. But it speaks volumes to the funk that he's been in literally since the home run. There being the all started. Opposites from him. And this way, JJ got to throw a apology the way he spends Jones. You know, Spence Jones done a nice job here. He still strikes out a little too much for my liking. But he had two monster sets. He had the big game on Saturday. I mean, he had three RBS that got the Yankee back into this game when they fell behind. What was it? Four one against the Mariners. And boom, rewarded Spence Jones put him into three spot in the lineup today. And he hit. So yesterday, the bottom of the order got you going. Today was the top of the order that got you going and ended up being the difference in the game. But Jones and I also want to shout out Ryan McMan. Ryan McMan has been in a lot of. Very high quality high caliber. At bats in late game situations. With runners in scoring position, you need that. You need guys stepping up in the absence of the big boys. And Yankee's going win enough service. I mean, let's just think about this outside of the St. Louis corneral service. Which was a dud for the Yankees. We can all acknowledge that against the mediocre team. The Yankees took two with three from Philadelphia. The Yankees took two or four from Chicago series that honestly. They should have won three or four maybe swept the series, but they didn't. They took two withers in the cups. Cubs are 15. Took two withers in the braves. Braves are 15. And they won the first two against the Seattle team that is off. And Seattle was right there with the Yankees. For his favorites in the American league. They stay. But that's what the Yankees should do. Now you want to get fat. You want to win this series and sweep it. That's just went to out of three. You want to bury the Mariners. And you want us to see. If you can do two things here between now. In August. Twenty. What has happened since Friday. Is a very good development in one aspect for the New York Yankees. But unfortunately it has not equated to a winning equation on both ends of the spectrum. Well, what do I mean by that? What do I mean by that? Well, Friday night. I'm at Yankees stadium. The Yankees. We're about to fall behind a Boston Red Sox in the Wildberg standards. Red Sox smoking the A's. The A's were down to nothing against the Braves. We know what happened. The A's came back one again. Stay ahead of the land. What has happened since the Red Sox have lost their way. They've lost five consecutive games. Last two days. Sweep North through the border against the Blue Jays. Give the Blue Jays credit. They always beat the Red Sox. I bet I mean to the last three days. Give that out on the B's and shows with the great Stormy Bonnetomi on Monday and Tuesday. And Wednesday. I did it again. Look at that heads up record. But it has allowed the Yankees to get some serious breathing room now for that first wild court spot, which is important. Guys, I can't stress this enough. You don't want to go to a Fenway Park. It's shades of 20-21. It's dare a call with Fenway Park. It's weird quirk, syndynamics. You don't want to be dealing with it. The Yankees now have a four game lead on Boston. You want to maintain that. They've even grow a game or two. By the time you hit August 28th, four games, three days. Last time the Yankees and the Red Sox are going to match up this year. Monsters, monsters, series and the Bronx. But then you have to deal with the sobering reality. The Yankees point pretty darn well. I rindled off that schedule and the quality of teams and how the Yankees are played. You know the lineup is not 100% right. But what's happening, Tampa? Folks, the Rays don't lose. They've won nine consecutive games. So the Yankees are played above 500. They've played good ball. They've found ways to win and yet they have lost ground within the American leagues. Am I willing to say on August the 12th, 13th, the division is over? I'm not. What I'm here to tell you is Yankees better get to work. Because if this division deficit is 678 by the time he hits September, you're not coming back from it. Yankees for it would have tried last year against Toronto. Still felt short. Really want to be within five. If not more going into September and know you have a series with the Rays coming up and go from there. As many heads up games with Tampa to only the Yankees stadium. So that's this hard. But the Yankees has done a nice job here. In many ways, you're wondering how they're doing it. It helps have a long barred up in shortstop. You know, he struck out in a big spot earlier in a game. Of course, he bounced back with a couple of heads. His mental makeup is so good. It's awesome to say. That's sort of the meaner. comes from being a big leap of sun. Nothing's too big. Hey, bad help. I'm just gonna bare hand it for the first. Imagine that, like make it look as easy as possible. I don't think people realize how difficult the play it is. Ball bounce, you're about to feel that goes big all the way. I pick it up with my hand and I, not only pick it up smoothly, I go and throw a BB over the first base. I love the kid. I can't get enough of the kid. So I would be feeling cautiously optimistic about where the Yankees are at right now. Because I know that there's more meat on the bone offensively, not only because guys are coming back, but because of the fact that one bar is a short now. Getting rice going again, getting rich and going again. And it also helps knowing that I'm getting really good starting pitching. And if you get to the wall series and if you got any shot against the Dodgers or comes out of the National League, the trio of Schollitler, Fried and Cole is gonna go a long way in determining to getting that. So keep that humming and firing on all cylinders. We know what our plans are gonna be for late October, at least in some capacity. We hope that the Yankees are gonna draw a major monkey, a monkey wrench in it as said, hopefully it's this combined with the Yankees getting ready for a world series. That's what I'm trying to will into existence. But as the banner is raised for the first time in 53 years, how sweet will it be to have the Nix taking on a braw and a braw, wanted to be a Nick. A braw, pegged to be a Nick. The Nix went un-interested. The Nix essentially told a braw, James. Thanks, but no thanks. Hello, braw, his one last chicken and that's not that you need it. Your golf games get better. You play not a really good team. You're probably a top five all time, top three all time NBA player, but you can sit there in the warm-up suit and watch the Nix get the better at Madison Square Garden. Get the rings at Madison Square Garden. Hope you judge, show. I love this. I love it. And you know what I'm gonna love you before? Watch the Nix kick the rest in the first game of the year. And beat tears. Maybe Jalen Brunson can go and give Jalen Brown the meme that he gave at the time of the Mitchell wedding that I'll be working to pull off. Maybe I'll do that the next time, navigating through the streets of New York and I see somebody I know, kind of do a little shimmy like that. And a big smile. I didn't know Jalen had the goofy smile. It doesn't really strike me as a part of his demeanor. So to see that in that meme was so great. But what Nix fit would want the sixers to game one? Let's get it on, baby. Let's get it on. I don't want to wait to see that game two or three months down the road. No, hell wouldn't it. Let's see it right out of the game. Give me that banner. Give me those rings. And give me, will Bron and Philly Tears police. I love it. You know what else I love? And I said this jokingly on. That's why yesterday, but it's 1000 cent true. The somebody's got to check out what the divorce rates in this country are going to be like right after the new year. Or maybe it's like right after the Christmas holiday. Because have you seen the sports calendar on Christmas? Ain't going to be good seen. Don't worry, Ellie open all our presents. Newed Christmas. We got a boo wimby. We'll watch Sesame Street on Mickey's Christmas Carol early in the morning. And then we got wimby to cook. Because wimby is going to get a lump of coal in a stocking for the second time in a year. I'll grab his hat. They didn't experience a couple of years ago on Christmas day. I love it. And you know, some people are wondering, oh, why is it a new? Next play Christmas at New Now. That has become the new ESPN ABC tradition. And I feel and like it now that this football get the nickname out of the way. I don't want to have to do that. That's it. Get it out of the way. I'll focus on my football. I love it. I love it. I love it. You only going to put his powers one to two times. Now it's an event on Christmas day. So, you know, maybe the crowd reaction will not be as hostile for wimby in that spot than it would be for like a Friday night game, but I'm with it. So we got a couple of nick highlights as far as some of the early season games that we know. There were a couple more early studies. I know they put a Celtics that that first Friday, which hopefully will be going up against Game 1 of the World Series. I believe they're playing the Timberwolves on Martin Luther King Day. But you get new little breadcrumbs for the NBA season. Now, one more note before I give you a little teaser of what's to come for next week. We have some big news coming on the showfront. Francisco Mendoza is planning the seeds to be a magnet show. I mean, for anybody who's thinking he's not. Look at the way he waxed poetic about Cohen, about Sterns. And was rather delusional in talking about, you know, this year, and, you know, just to be in a flip on the radar. No, this is Francisco's old delusional. This is a monster setback for the meds. And let's just say that me and the Metro, it's not done exactly the line with our confidence level where David Sterns is taking this franchise. But I think that interview he gave John Hamon should be the official and at least as far as our world and what we do when it comes to like, it's going to be on the team next year. I think we could take a major, major pause with that. Like the odds now, I'm putting them to 85% days. North to 85%. So never say never with surprises, but I don't think when doors doing that interview, if you've not come back here, doesn't need to. So that was my big takeaway from it. Now, no calls. I pushed the pot on you guys. So we had two guests today. We'll take a bunch of calls on Sunday. And we won, Vail, part one on Sunday of the 2026 New York, top 15, presented by New York, New York, a traditional, like any other. I want to start it on Sunday. Then on Thursday show will release 6 to 10. And then the following show we will release 5 to 1, although, I mean, it was-- doesn't exactly take a rocket scientist to figure out who the double athlete in town is going to be this year. It was a very, very easy decision by the committee. But I'm looking forward to unveiling that list. And considering we had our first champion in over a decade on the men's side of things, and our Liberty won a couple of years ago, I didn't forget about that. And it's the first Nick Championship in 53 years. They're going to have a very heavy presence on our New York top 15. But before we hit Stanford, Steve, and before we hit Jason Katz, we're going to have a really cool announcement for the future of this show and what it's going to look like post football season. And I have told you, literally, since our time at the ringer has come to an end that we were going to move forward in a very good way post-Ringer Exodus. I think we are set up now to have a very exciting next chapter of New York, New York. It's going to look a little different. But your pod feed will remain the same. There is going to be a lot more video content coming your way. And at the moment, I can fully unveil all of our grand plans and what it is going to look like. Um, I You know friends and I were talking about as we get older, you know The old going back to school bug you got you know You knew when then this summer was coming But now it's like August for like August first hits and it's like we got it We got I need something like you get the Hall of Fame game and people are gonna take it apart I love just seeing where guys ended up like we spent so much time on the draft But you know you see in the NFL. I mean now it's just a fantasy world But just seeing where guys that I had college careers and transferred a million times and then like they get a shot And that's their chance So I wish we had football every night Now I've trying to you know take it in getting out to commanders practices Went saw Maryland practice last week So the itches here for sure It's a great time of year because the optimism for every single person that roots for a team is as high as it will be I think it's higher now than like when teams are in the playoffs I really do because you don't you don't know when you feel great and you don't want to think about the pessimism It's got says it costs the same. So yeah, it's a great time of year. It's I'm really thankful on the college side. We didn't have that second Transfer portal window as far as the Cesset rosters. I mean just looking at The relief I coach's face is knowing they've had the same guys from spring to now I think is a major step in the right direction. Obviously there's plenty that's going on that we've tried to follow This summer, but um, yeah, it's it's awesome. I can't wait and uh like I said everybody's team is gonna win a championship right now So it's awesome that is such a great point about the transfer portal Because like Steve I feel like doing a prep work NFL is easy. You know what the offseason looks like piece of cake You're doing college. You're doing a college every week. That's your bread and butter The last couple years dude. It's like the wow west like I need a month of the regular season to see who's where to kind of get a sense for Oh, this guy went there that guy is there, but at least with like quarterbacks this season And I know I'm gonna be doing a lot of this with the Jets because they're gonna be in the market for a quarterback next year There's no question about it. So that means a lot of pro sports fans have more interest and more intrigue and everything that's going on in college But it's like wow Dante more is back at Oregon amazing Archbishop Acatex is amazing today. I had chambles back at Ole Miss good good from my brain Uh your mr. College. Hmm forget about the husband here for a second. Yeah, who is the guy in like December If the Jets are having a crummy season that they're gonna be fantasizing about as their next quarterback Uh, that's that's the problem is I think it's hard to to uh To narrow it down. I still look at CJ car at Notre Dame. I mean what he does a freshman now going back and watching the games uh, you know And it's even worse this year when I watch look at Notre Dame who they're gonna play But you can't fault the kid for as a freshman stepping in doing what he did You know his pieces are great. I you know, I say the toys that you're play with You know, I go back to that 2019 season like look at to a joe burl who they were throwing to at ls u and alman Like look what those guys turned into. I mean they're the best of the best now. I don't think there's any Receiving groups maybe Ohio State You know through the years, but I'm just talking about like in a one-year window I don't think anybody has that Ohio State if this Henry kid is the real deal Then it's him and Jeremiah Smith and and uh, julienne saying is gonna put up it ridiculous numbers But I don't see that um, I don't see saying as a guy that people are gonna be drooling over I think he another one stepped in last year. I mean you talk about pressure of a of a position And trying to repeat and no one will how state's fans expectations are Um, I think there's I think cars a guy that's gonna really light it up this year I love what Notre Dame as I think they're absolutely stacked Uh, the defense is I mean loaded Uh, when you look at what they've done on the interior We know Notre Dame's at an offensive line We know about the depth that they've added on the defense and then I was just looking at their schedule I say like the cornerback to quote your colleague. It's cupcake city baby. It's cupcake city The cornerbacks they play are not gonna be able to do it So I think you know CJ cars chance to have a really really special year and and no one with that brings uh, and the guy I feel like no one is talking about just thrown away as the noris sellers Um, obviously, you know was up against it You know with the offensive line what really hurt him I think especially in that league is Look at you know guys in in the NFL that came from saw. I mean Nicky even worry was a defensive MVP for a super bowl team Already play South Carolina, you know you South Carolina lost some serious NFL guys on the defensive side So that means the pressure is added I'm on on a level of a quarterback where he's already asked to do so much And we doesn't have the talent and toys to play with that's really hard to do weekend and week out So I look at those two guys it taking major steps Because I don't question their size. I don't question their arm strength They have NFL bodies, you know, we're gonna spend so much time, you know talking about Trinidad Chambles You know look at the kids like you know text a and m r. cell read. I love them But he's tiny and I think we're getting into this mix of you know talking to guys that have worked in the league It's going back to the bigger guys now We've had the athletic quarterbacks come in that are playmakers When we're talking about trying to stack and now like you're taking jets for example They want a guy they don't have to worry, right? And I think the NFL body and arm strength is gonna come back into that factor and I put those two guys Just off the top of my head right now as the two guys I see Um, fit it check in all the boxes, right? You want to check the boxes and those are the two guys I see having really really good years and you can see the jets fan salivate about Well, Steve I totally get it. I mean, I just went through the two a situation where I like that was my guy And I wanted them because of all the intangibles But when the body breaks down and you can't count on the guy to play and then all of a sudden it's the hip There's no arm strength. There's no mobility like yeah having that safe bet at the position as a must Um, and I'm glad you mentioned how this involves right because a year ago at this time Who would have had Fernando Mendoza's the number one overall pick in the draft like no shot even a two a year right like I like Joe burrow. I thought the year before he was like Intriguing but like that was two uh that was Herbert. There's no way in a world Joe burrow's gonna be the number one pick in the draft Lot could change into colleges and buddy boy Yeah, I mean and then you know People want data, you know, you want um sample size You know, and I just don't think you're gonna get the mid-strabiskeys anymore where you have 10 starts like Laura Sellers has played a ton of football. He still has all the traits. He's a physical specimen car What do you like I said? What he was able to do mentally as a freshman quarterback stepping in on that stage going up against Miami in the first game of the year playing A&M's and another playoff team and then taking that and going Taking it to the next level. Those are the things I look at where you know I still wonder about Dante more size. I get it. He's got I mean he's got all his receivers back This year and there's a couple former number ones in the wide receiver class from their classes when you talk about Evan Stewart and De Coria more like he's got two ones now this year He didn't have that he didn't have Stewart all year last year and then more got hurt down the stretch so To the men those are like look That's why I'm really wary of of these You know, I think the preseason pole is different JJ because are you picking a team that you think should be ranked right now or you project Right, I think people just get and then it's just just picking apart like people just want to oh you're you're saying that because of this like Whatever do whatever you want with the preseason ranking But look at Indiana as a whole last year they're 20 Preseason pole because nobody thought they could do it again and they had to play a tough for schedule And what did he do you went out one every single game now when I'm going back now watching these games Um, you know, Mendoza got them honest shit Uh, when you know when you're talking about Penn State and say I was I mean, and then he did it to himself I'm standing on the sidelines at Oregon. He throws a pick six that place going mental You know, and then he has to wear with all to get it back And that's where I really thought you saw the coaching in was to get him that point But like you watch the first three quarters of games of Mendoza and say I don't know Dante Moore, you know, but what Mendoza did in crunch time really Accentuated things and on now on those stages. I mean in the Ohio State a big tent title game is I mean That's that's big time stuff against that defense So I look at You know the idea of you said now like there there's way more stuff going on you talk about summer workouts now to the coaches get more times With the more time with the players and I think that helps and you really see your quarterback developers And you've seen I mean I want to say Nettie said I believe at media day every Said Scone James Madison every quarterback. He says been all coffee So I mean you want you want to look at Hoover like people I'm not doubting in the end of this year And I'm not saying it just because what they did last year I there's the pieces they got they got exactly what they want and their interior they have they have studs I mean they have guys that are absolute football players and it's almost Now to the at the college level at the NFL level like you hear guys talk. I don't know if that guy loves to score I you know Does he play because he's great at it? You know in the end It's got some guys that have bought in and they're locked in and they're gonna be there at the end I firmly believe that yeah, I'm out of business to betting against Signetti I learned a hard one Steve I had Oregon in that semi-final game And I knew that was dead like five seconds in I said one world that I do I go how could I be so I wish I knew when I walked into the building an hour before the game because it was all red I said this thing ain't going well. It's funny. You walked into the building. I went to a bar It's all for a Friday night. I said oh I'm gonna go out perfect Why just give me the blessing go out watch the game need a buddy have a couple of drinks We walk into a bar grand street tab and great bar in a city I go Steve I never knew that was that many Indiana Brothers over on New York City Me my buddy will like wow, we bet or we gotta get out of here. We're in trouble No, they were it was it was amazing man. Even at Miami last year I mean obviously you were playing in the home crowd In a Miami's home stadium, but I mean no matter where you were a lauderdale South Beach averageura Delray like the Indiana families like that. I've just I mean you talk about You know seeing these alumni bases now like they saved up and I mean the money they were spending for tickets I mean it was real So it's it's an incredible thing and you know There's so many ways to go about it When you pick it apart and people try and replace it I also look at the perfect timing like the stadium's not great He said give me a weight room and let's spend the money on players and like I'm sure we're going back there I'm not sure but I believe we'll go back there. He'll be bad for the Ohio State game this year If that others so it's the way in stride that they have hit this and just kept moving forward Is is unlike anything I've ever seen in the sport and it's it's remarkable. All right. I got three futures I got to hit you on two to win the title one is a win total You hit on Notre Dame schedules to joke. I think it's the most talent they've had literally since they've won an National Championship when I was I believe that was zero was born 1988 and it was that last championship. Yeah, so I'm in on Notre Dame I am also went on Wait for this Penn State over wins Okay, Penn State over wins and then I don't think I'm gonna get your blessing on this the other future. I have Oregon Because I feel like Lanx been knocking at the door. They got a lot of guys coming back Give me a grade on each of those Penn State over wins got away some juice on it at eight and a half Notre Dame and then of course the ducks. What do we think? I really like Penn State From what it looked like like before the higher So what it is now like pretty gotta be ecstatic Of watch I mean you watch Campbell at media days and he just talks about you know And that's the that's the one thing like I you know you're reading all these pieces like that's the piece I want to read or the special I want to see is the Penn State kids at state Like there's a there's various reasons like I know everybody's gonna say money But there is something different about Penn State when you go there. I was never a fan of them growing up I just went there. I get it I know when you go there. You're like this is different and there's a buy in there and You know they got the transformation of the stadium the money hit their fans spend I mean just alone on parking what they spend on parking spaces And you go to a game and it's incredible So I really how they hit the ground All right, I think Rocco's perfect for what they want In Campbell I mean you talk about continuity and now I'll say this in the hand up last year I thought continuity was the way to go and I had Penn State playing Clemson in a national championship not in the Pinstrype ball So I think that's another aspect to of getting into it like I think it's really that much harder To prognosticate, you know the season win totals first The guys that make the numbers are that much better. They are They're geniuses and just look at last I mean Penn State and Clemson last year like everyone had them in their top three everyone And they don't even go to a you know a big-time bowl game and the seasons are over Wic and you ask why Where guys getting too much money and got a little complacent what did coaches get complacent? You know did things just not go the right like there's a million things I go in to get to my point to make it that it's that much harder to predict now But I if you're gonna give me substance I'll take what Penn State is Dan Lynn is phenomenal I look at the staff that he hired Here in Campbell talk about the guys that he brought back the offense coordinator is known Rocco and worked with them, you know their questions always been receiver for the last you know five six years and they brought in guys They recruited guys. It just didn't work out now. Was that a microcosm of of online and quarterback? You know with that we knew that they have had they got two NFL running backs in camps. So You look at I like when the schedule came out before the year I'm like Penn State's got a chance and then there's just that window of we don't even know our coaches But to see where they are now. I love what Campbell brings to the table as far as a coach and like I said you don't play the three playoff teams You get USC at home. Where do you got to go to Washington? So yeah, I like Penn State and the Oregon thing you know it's It's it's a line of you know, I was trying to do the math on The big tent, you know the pack 12 teams that went to the big tent washed in Oregon the 2 LA schools, right? And I'm doing the math and I'm looking at like the early kickoffs and Last year I took for example Oregon got to go play the Whiteout, but it was a night game, right? They went in overtime SC had to go to Illinois and play basically an 8 a.m. local game And that's a loss they lose and I mean they don't have their best safety Ramsey and they don't have another kind of defense and they lose in the last play of the game And like if if you flip the times of those games does it change? Am I you know like I don't know like is as I see Oregon a different game later in the year because of that I don't know But I look at these the West Coast teams that are up against it and you know teams got to go out there We go out there for game day. It's it's tremendous So I look at I look at either it's I think either Penn State or SC is going to play off That's what I haven't decided that Yeah, SC schedule is obviously way harder but when I watched him and Know when the process as it is that Lincoln is and how detailed oriented he is to hear him finally admit that he believes he has a defense That that says something to me and you get Oregon and you get Washington coming to you and the Coliseums Coliseums is jazzed up and I'm not trying to I'm not believing everything I see in video on the internet But I've never worried about USC replacing wide receivers never and I think they're gonna be fine there So I just put it on the quarterback If the quarterback is it takes the right steps and he sounds like he's done all the things off season and bypassing Money making opportunities to go work and work on his craft. I love hearing that stuff So SC and Penn State are the the teetering teams but Oregon When you read about the roster, you know Like I mentioned the idea the receivers coming back love that Dante is only gonna get better I you know they were out they had a ton of injuries to at the end of the year But through the big ten season and you're talking about going to SC going Ohio State They have the best front four in the sport which when you talk to any coach in the sport all they ask for is more defensive line depth But when you read Oregon the four guys that rotate to behind those four they're all gone So does that add up over the course of a season? I don't know I still think Dan Lanning's done a great job recruiting and knows what kind of guy he wants the other factor with Oregon is New coordinators and he didn't even he didn't take much time. He promoted within So I thought that was very interesting to show that he has confidence in his guys so nobody on the stage plenty of times and You know people are talking about the window right what's the window? I mean Lanning set for however he wants no doubt, you know, but Dante Moore. This is it You know and Raiola yeah, I get it great back. I still don't trust him You know, I got to see it and he's got obviously he made a point to say he has a lot better choice to play with Eugene They did in Lincoln so we'll see but it'll be shocked if Oregon's not in you know in the top six in the country when the playoffs Okay, you mentioned you were a commander's camp. Yeah, I think they're one of the toughest teams and we need to figure out this year's Steve And obviously, you know, I'm doing a lot of giants stuff. So the NFC is a focus of ours. Big on Dallas going into the year. I love Dac. I think you see people watch football every Sunday tell you how good he is. The guy falls out weekend and week out and I expect a defense with Williams for a full year. Getting down to you, Soto, how state I love him as a player. I think the Cowboys are going to win at the vision. That said, I think they could be multiple playoff teams. The Eagles obviously have pedigree. Washington two years ago, Daniels had arguably the best rookie quarterback season I've ever seen. Like he was that special. Last year was a shit show. Giants, Harbock comes in. They go to West Virginia. It shades the remember the Titans. It's going to be respectable, real coaching. Like Giants have stoked about that. Got feel right now. Who's winning more games this year? Giants with the new head coach. Questions about hey neighbors, scatiboo, replace a lawn. So questions about the roster. Washington, all these coordinator change, Daniels health. I'm having a hard time with it. So I'll defer to you. Yeah. You know, I really open my eyes too. I was watching the cornerback show on Netflix and really I forgot half the injuries that Jayden had. Like I just remember the elbow. But you go back. It was the PCL MCL. It was the ankle. It was the shoulder. Like he missed. I mean, I think the final tally was Mario to have played in nine games. Over nine. No, nine. But that was the night. Now I think it was week 14 was the ninth time he appeared in a game, which is nuts. And it goes back though. Like I was talking about with these body types. That was the whole conversation here. Was it Daniels or May? And I was on the in the may camp just because of the body size. I really I believe in that stuff and just talking to people that have worked in both college and NFL. And I think it's a real thing. Regardless, he's a phenomenal talent. He's probably the most important player in the league. He really is. Like you take you saw what they were without him. But what he's able to do and how he goes about it is very different. He's diligent. He doesn't really want any of that stuff. He talked with people around the front. I mean, it's it's real. First guy in last guy out. I'm with you on Dallas. And what I want to say is I'm going to be 50 in January. And I'm trying to think like before the tonsil injury, that one really hurt. I was there the day before for for digs. And I'm like piecing together receivers. I'm like this. This is pretty good. I mean, they got band Jefferson to guy too. Perfect. Like fourth receiver. When he's at number three, number four, you like them when he's your number two. He's a problem. Correct. And you know, they bring in Antonio Williams. Well, I think has a role. He's not big, but there's roles for those guys. You've seen them all across the league. But the tonsilins are really, really hamper things. But going back, I'm going to be 50. And I grew up in Connecticut. I was, you know, nine for the the Giants 86 Super Bowl and all that. And the Randall Cunningham Eagles teams and then Joe Gibbs Redskins teams. And then probably the most hated team ever in the Cowboys in the 90s. So I've seen it all. But I think this is the I don't think deepest is the right. It might be this is the best all four teams have been the closest all four teams have been in a long time long long time. There's always been a lot of speeder. There's always been a bottom feed. You know, there's always been somebody at the bottom. I mean, the Eagles had their time way back. The Giants have had a run. The commanders for sure have had a run. And the Cowboys just with the expectations haven't been able to meet that. So when I go into this, I just look at the changes when you talk to people that know shot and Heimer. And what he's like a different person, you know, like like so much more personality and in it and haven't been so getting after his team, you know, before practice started the other day, I love that shit. But the commanders are the the wild card because I know what other people think of having to play against Daniels. And they don't like they don't like having to do that. And then them to come out and say, Connolly's going to stay at right tackle. I thought they might move them the left. He played left it Oregon in college. But the, you know, the guys coming in play left was the left tackle when they went to the FC championship game. Now, did they catch lightning in a bottle that year? For sure. You know, Detroit played their worst game of the year and they won, but they went there and won the game. So I'm with you. Dallas is on top. I would still side with the commanders. Obviously thinking Daniels is going to be healthy over that's the edge I give them. Daniels over dark. Yeah. And you know what it is Steve? They had me on TV the other day to a rankings of the top four quarterbacks in the division. And I felt 30 for Jackson. It's hard because I'm like, he's clearly fourth and I really like him. And I think he's got to come in if he keeps his, you know, head screwed on. I think you have a really good career in the league. But like the other three guys, that year and year out is great. No doubt. Heard says one is super ball and fin to two. And then you got Jay and it's like, well, kind of your automatically for until I have a little bit more of a body. No, no, that's all. Yeah. Now listen, he's got, you know, it's not excuses, but like now it's time. It's time, right? You know, what they've done defensively, I'm really excited to see like watching what the commanders are doing now with Chanel and then you're bringing Sonny. And then you got Frankie Louis who looks like there's going to be a piece where he's going to be like a rush. It's rush guy or he's going to be the piece they move around. I love the moves they made in the secondary. The corner from Ole Miss is Amos is going to take a step. And you got some guys up front on defense. But that, I mean, it was just a cataclysmic that the things that went wrong and how big the dominoes were that fell on the commanders. There was just no overcoming it. And Mario, I thought played his ass off. He's a fine backup. Yeah. He's like one of those guys. He plays six to set four to five weeks, I should say. If you get him for a month, he can easily get you two in two. Yeah. It's when he's got to play more than it's like, and there's a bunch of those guys, which is fine. You know, but I give, I still give the edge of the commander. I think the roster's a lot better. You mentioned the coordinator change. Well, I was, well, I was great. He's going to play with strengths. But again, in that whole league, man, the whole league and it's awesome to talk about, but the most important thing is health. It's all it is. So we'll see. But those four teams are as close as they've been in a long, long time for me. The timing of this may not be great, because the Mets have actually won a bunch of games in a row. But I know you're a huge MF fan. Huge MF fan. And you guys were the second shot on the Dodgers. It's beginning of the year. You were monster sellers at the trade deadline. You've seen a lot of shit. So like you've seen some hideous hideous seasons. Is this the most disappointing that season in your lifetime or not? The last year a Shay really hurts. Having to do that ceremony after the game. It was brutal. I mean, I couldn't even watch. I mean, I was out in the first inning when Glavin couldn't get it out. You know, like it was that that one really stings, because you had everything going. There was a I think another debacle. God, I remember coming in when the Nats were playing in RFK and they couldn't win it game down there. But this one was over so fast. JJ, like it was kind of put you out of your misery. I mean, last night I'm watching and I'm watching the guys come up and it's like, Polaco, didn't, hasn't played. Robert hasn't played. You know, the dual catchers were both guys are healthy. You give you get some pop here and there. There's just been, I mean, Bede had a grand slam. I've seen that in my lifetime. So it just was, I mean, Geralt just wasn't the guy from the start. I mean, the way people hit, like couldn't strike people out. People talk about placement of fastball. But what really hit me was last night. And that's why puts the graphic up the opening day bullpen. And now with Devon on the I.L. Sangha becomes the closer. So he's in the bullpen. And I, what do you get 12 bullpen guys? I think it's, I think it's 12 on the roster. Every single guy was different from opening day in in the bullpen. Like that, that's all you need. It's a sum up the season on whatever middle of August. Not one guy from the bullpen on opening day is in the bullpen. Not one crazy. And what's crazy to me is that's what I was worried about in spring training. But placing it when there was enough, you know. And those guys overachieved, it just, they were, they just, I mean, they couldn't get a starter to go three in. And, you know, they got a chance. I mean, the pieces they brought up, I mean, they went to Cleveland in Pittsburgh. And I watched, I mean, they're better than those two teams. But those two teams are probably going to be in the playoffs. I don't know. So Scott and I discussed it on our pod the other day, just this idea of, I mean, he's, he's an Orioles guy. And he's looking at the Orioles. And they don't, they don't pull the trigger on anything. You know, they, they sold all this hope, you know, a couple of years ago, and they put up their lineup the other day from the, from the team that, I think they want a hundred. There's two guys. Two guys in the lineup. You know, so the, I believe there's too many teams that make it in baseball entirely too many. I totally agree. And he came back with the old days that, you know, winning 90-something games in the Red Sox or the Yankees win a hundred and they didn't get in the playoffs. I get it. But I think in the NFL too, get rid of one team. I just think it's too many. And, and I'm, you know, and I'm a college football guy and I'm worried talking about the playoffs. the division from the regular season. I'm still a regular season. I want it to matter. I know it's 162, but those teams should be awarded more for what they do day and day up. Now, every team has different approaches now. We see what the Dodgers do, and you know, the raise and the Brewers, the payrolls, the whole thing. I thought the guys in MLB that worked at a great job the other day talking just about like, if you're a Brewers fan, you're pumped, but you're kind of bummed because you had a chance. You had a chance to pull the triggering, and just do what you do. I mean, what was that? With C.C. Goal in? Exactly. And that was incredible what he brought to that, to that. I mean, I was, I want to say the stadium was kind of new then too. I mean, that place was jumping when they had him for that run. And he was pinching on three days or so. Oh, it's unbelievable. It's just a horse. So I, that's where I come with, like with Milwaukee, it's like, man, we've done it so many times, and you know, you had a legit chance. And now this other thing too with the reports coming out after the deadline, as so and so offered this for so and so, like, I don't need all that. I had, you know, you just, you're just, you're just turning the sword in the Brewers fans and all those teams. So, um, but it's, I mean, it's set up. I mean, the American League, good luck. You know, I know your Yankees are trying to come around and be healthy. And if they could piece together a line up, Steve, the Yankees Red Sock winner my go to the World Series. And the loser will be dumb before you make the vision series. It's looking out like, yeah, raise, raise, just keep winning. I know. I think they want to vision. I watched them out and see out on man. They talk about piecing together a lineup. They, they could do it. Good teams do. Jack's, Jack's going on the ILs. A big for them though. No, that's, that's something. Scott didn't give you a lot of crap when Alonzo is sound with the Orioles. Uh, he just wanted to know what he was getting into. And I've sort of hit it on the head. And that's the other thing with the met. Like I thought there needed to be some change. I really did. Like I thought, you know, I thought Nimble Ryan is course. I thought Pete for, for what he was. I'm, I'm more of a contact guy. Like I liked the, like I watched Polaco in the playoffs. He was a contact hitter. He came up in big spots. He wasn't in uniform the whole year. You know, so I didn't have the big bopper guys and the 220 guys that hit, you know, maybe 30 something homers. I'd like to, you know, when you got a manufacturer, we'll see it. It's coming. That's why you're going to want to be wearing a bench. You're going to be wearing a bench because get on base. So the mold. Yeah. Give me guys that get on base. That's all I ask. Get on base. And then things happen. It's, it's baseball, man. Uh, so I didn't have a problem with the majority of the moves. I figured Diaz was going to go. Um, uh, just seeing, you know, again, what, what's wrong? I mean, how much better could he be in that, um, in that spot? So I didn't have a problem, but again, it's baseball and what I thought was going to be the weakness and to be in the strength of the whole band and now every single guy it's gone. So, uh, we'll see. Hopefully young starters, uh, Thornton's been an awesome surprise. Um, Scott still can't get through five innings, but we'll get there. We'll get. Final one. It's impossible for you with college because you can kind of guess where you're going to be on Saturday, but you don't know quite yet where you're going to be on Saturday. So I look exactly the same three three video spots the same day with the same outfit. Who's paid attention? Hopefully nobody. Well, hopefully a lot of people and then you get a lot of critiques on your attire or downloads that are going to go through the room. That's what we are looking for, buddy, boy. I know you're excited for this. I know I'm excited for this and listen, there are some moving parts that I should have worked the audience with. I mean, we've done it for how many years now we talked about this every year and I still don't know exactly when it started. It's at least a decade probably more than that, but I don't remember that. I was going to say at least 20, what do you think of like 2018, 2019? I mean, maybe maybe it's the year earlier than that. I was doing over I was doing overnight when you were coming up, right? I said, yeah, definitely, definitely. I started doing the fantasy content in 2015. So that would be the earliest would be that season, probably not that season. No, maybe 2016. It could have been over a decade, multiple platforms, but nobody gives you better fantasy content than Jason Cads. We love them. I've known them for years. He is just the fantasy savante, if you will. A lot of stuff to hit on because everybody's getting ready for their drafts. You know, I'm ready for the season, but I'm not ready for my drafts. Somebody asked me the other day, I did a Camille video, who would be like my top three picks. And I like had a blank. I'm like, uh, the more chairs, be John Robinson. I'm not there. I need chance. I'm not ready for the season. Before we look at the issue, the biggest fantasy lessons. You take from 2025 that we had a carry in the dish. I probably mentioned this at some point last year, maybe later in the season, but I think it is. Don't over react to. To noise, which is the news that doesn't matter because what's still ringing in my head is. At this point last year, when we saw a Shreveon Henderson return a kick for a touchdown, which has absolutely no bearing on fantasy ball whatsoever. And his 80 he's steamed up from the five six turn to the three four turn. And I just chased him up the board. Like in fantasy football, everything is price. I mean, similar to betting, actually, everything is price. If you're telling me, oh, I don't like this player and someone says, yeah, but he's going in the 14th round. Well, suddenly, I might like him a little bit more. And vice versa. Oh, I love this guy. Yeah, you got to take it the second round. Well, not anymore. Price is everything. Every player is worth taking or worth fading based on how much they cost the fantasy drafts. As we get into the preseason, which starts in both force. Well, tomorrow, from a recording, who knows when people are going to watch this, but may you may have already seen games. Those games are going to impact prices of fantasy players in drafts. And if it is not actionable or not meaningful and a player gets too expensive, be OK with pulling the ball. back. Okay, fair advice. Preseason games. Should we put any stock in them? Yes and no. I don't really care what players do when these preseason games like we've had plenty of guys. I don't know if you remember a couple years ago some guy named Lance McCutchen on the Rams, just went off in the preseason and everyone's like, "Oh, this guy's going to be a little good. He might make a team. He was going like in the last round of drafts and nothing happened. Typically preseason stars, you look at preseason stats. It's a bunch of nobody's playing against four stringers. It doesn't matter. What we are paying attention to is roles, how players are used. It doesn't mean necessarily how much they're on the field or so to speak or if they're playing every down because you need the treatments differently. For example, I remember a few years ago, Damien Pierce in the preseason, he played like 10 snaps in order to start the game and everyone's like, "Oh, look, he's a three down back." Well, maybe or it was the fact that in preseason, it's not a real game. So coaches want to get the starters their reps and then get them out. So it's something similar where you don't want to focus too much on that aspect of it. But if a guy is running with the ones or if he enters the game and is playing into the fourth quarter and he's put it as sleep or maybe not, maybe he's not making a team. So that's what you want to pay attention to more is when guys are getting in the game and whether they're playing with the starters. Fair enough. Okay, most interesting rookie. So you know, it's funny. Last year I came on the show and I was typing up a lot of rookies and I am typically a rookie guy. I think rookies are some of the best values in fantasy drafts every year. But part of that also is talent. And I am not a huge fan of this rookie class. It's not a great class, Katz. It's not a great class. It's not. In terms of like aggressively targeting the last year, I want to like four or five rookies on every team that I had. I was like, "Rookie, rookie, rookie, rookie." This year, the only guy I really want is Jeremiah Love and only because of the price. He's the one I'm interested in right now because there have been recent news coming out of Cardinal's camp that he is, first of all, he's number two in the Death Chart, Pine Tyler out here, whatever I don't care. But you have the coach big of saying, "Oh, we've got three guys and Tyler's going to play and James Conner's going to play." They took him number three overall. I really don't buy that they are going to mire him in some sort of committee here. Yeah, maybe this is start the season, but we care more about the back loaded production. And I think the second half, if Jeremiah Love is as good as somebody who goes in the three overall running back, he's going to make himself undeniable. And the difference between him and Ash and Gentie from Lester, because they know they're getting those contours. Oh, yeah, I know he's very positive. He's got a bad team, bad offensive line. He's directed to be an underdog in almost every game. Ash and Gentie was going at the one two turn. Jeremiah Love was going early third round. And even now I've seen him in some dress fall into the early fourth round. You're telling me I can get the number three overall pick in the fourth round of fantasy drafts in the top 40-ish picks, or near pick 35 to 40. I'm going to take that every time. I'm going to bet on the talent. I'm going to bet on the historical data that since Trent Richardson in 2012, every single running back, taken in the top 10 is average at least 14.3. Then it's points per game. The actual worst one last year was Ash and Gentie, who was so bad that he's still posted mid RB2 numbers. That is your floor with Jeremiah Love. So if I'm paying essentially his floor price, well, what if he's 20 to 18? Stay on bark. Is that not possible on a bad team? He catches a lot of passes. It's somewhat in the range of outcomes. Probably not 24 points per game, but could he get to 20 in the right scenario? Absolutely. I think it's all outside if he stays in that third round, fourth round, fourth round area. Okay. First round, you know the guys. They're going to be a top. You don't need to be a rock science figure out. You're going to see him on Yahoo. You're going to see him on ESPN. Assuming you're not in an auction league, you're in a redraft league. Who's the guy that's getting drafted in the first round that's major buyer beware? Don't take them. Okay. I mean, this is definitely going to go against what we've seen for the past years or ever, but I think that the biggest risk in the first round is Christian referee. And I think that there's systemic risk that entire 49ers offense. I mean, look at it right now. Everyone's hurt. And it's not hard to understand why. Rock party fine. I mean, he's had cookie drizz, whatever he's healthy now. Christian McCaffrey, 30 years old, George Kittle, turning 33, a couple of months coming off the 20 killies. Mike Evans, 33 years old, Christian Kirk, turning 30 this year. We have both back at running back to her hurt, but that doesn't dare young. Whatever point is this is a very, very old roster. And it's not hard to see the bottom falling out on this team. Guys get hurt. And plus Christian McCaffrey has already burnt anti-semanders three times in square with season any injuries. I am not one to predict injuries. I don't do it with pretty much any player, but I am concerned about McCaffrey at 30 years old coming off a 400 plus touch season. It's hard to pass on him because like if someone came back, Jason, you passed on him last year, killed you fantasy year. Because I was a little in a couple of spots, killed you, killed you all in on last year. But this year now is coming off that monster touch season. And the reality is if someone came back from the future and said, hey, by the way, Christian McCaffrey played 15 games this year. Where would you take him? Number one, I take him number one. I'm skeptical that if 30 years old, he can still do what he's doing. We saw a little bit of decline, but I think the volume is still there and they're in receiving end. If he gets to like picks eight and nine in the first round, it's so hard to cast him up there. I probably wouldn't do it myself, but he's the one guy where when I take him, you know, my heart kind of drops a little bit like, you know, get that little nervous swear. I hope this works out. I hope this doesn't burn me because the first round pick goes down hard to fancy me. Okay. But before we do a bunch of New York ads, because I have some very interesting questions that I think are going to be very useful and very relevant to a whole lot of the audience. That being said, who is the guy that's not projected to be a first round pick this year that will without question be a first round pick next year? So Jeremiah love. Most likely, I mean last year, I would have said action, Jen Deeks, if he was already going the first round, Jeremiah love is definitely one of them, but like, I don't know if I necessarily want to go with a guy like that because he's just, he's already a top prospect. You would expect him to do that. So let me take a look here at guys that I think could end up being in the first round that aren't there next year. I mean, one guy who I think could get there potentially would be Trevian Henderson, but I don't think that's going to happen for him. Like, I mean, he has the upside to do that if things broke, but right, he's actually a guy kind of dating this year, but he has like the town. I wouldn't shock me if he got there. I think some other guys who could be there more the wider receivers. I think we could see guys like, like, and that's a book, uh, end up in that spot. We could see Devanta Smith end up in that spot. And if you want a really deep sleeper, a guy who could really surprise everybody, man, I make it a lot of you for this. I think Parker Washington, the end up, maybe not a first round pick, but being like a mid second round pick next year. I like some boldness out of you. This is exactly what I bring you on the show. Okay. Um, fire it up for this. Now, I'll start with the check guys and then we'll get to the giant guys because I think the giant guys have some serious says, like, I think the giant's going to be a much improved team this year. Gare Wilson. Gare Wilson was the Bayon of existence for a whole out of fantasy owners of your ago. Now, it wasn't necessarily his fault, Jason. He played with a quarterback who could not complete the forward pass. And then he gets hurt. He's in an offense. They go in Ed's to deep. They had Cooper, the Indiana kid in the first round. And they have a quarterback that yes, they throw 30 interceptions this year. But if he's given time to throw, he will be able to complete the forward pass. Should we be more bullish on a bounce back here for Gare Wilson? Or can we just not get 20, 25 out of our heads? You say bounce back here, but that implies we ever had the bounce forward in Gare Wilson. The reality is his entire career outside of his rookie season when he played with Joe Black, oh, it's absolutely in Mike White. It's been all projection. Everyone talks about how great Gare Wilson, how talented he is. Where is the honor of the representation of that? I do think he's a talented player. I'm sure if he's swast-flast, which is a chance we'd be taking him the first round. But he's not playing with Joe Barrow. He's not playing a patch from home. And there's, I got some historical data I did, a research on Gare Wilson because I wanted to see like, what is the precedent for it? Why would he be in the NFL as long as Gare Wilson has? And he's under-performance ADP expectation every single year out of his rookie season. Every year he's going above where he finishes because we're all by the talent and he never gets there. Well, since 2000, there have been a grand total of 18 wide receivers, first round wide receivers who hit, sorry, 18 wide receivers who hit 16 plus points per game for the first time in their fifth season or later. Of those 18, just five were round one wide receivers and over the five who did it, four of them had at least one season with 15 plus points per game in their first four. Gare Wilson has topped out at 14 play points per game. He's never done that. In history, there has been one receiver, one ever who failed to reach, who failed to reach 15 points per game in his first four seasons. And then all of a sudden had 16 plus in his fifth season or later. That was Jeremy Mathford when he did it. I think it was with either the Chiefs of the Eagles one of those years, only one. So for betting on Gare Wilson doing it this year, we are saying that Gare Wilson will be the second player in history to do something. I am skeptical ever of betting on true historical outliers like that. Fair enough. So Gare Wilson is in the fourth round. Are you taking him? No, I'm not. Wow. Okay. Now, Bruce Hall, much different story for him. Very impressive year season. Go on a terrible, terrible team. Now, Brillen, Allen got hurt. A lot of people thought that was going to be a split share back. Didn't happen. Bruce Hall took all the carries. Bruce Hall did enough even though they had no quarterback over the final four or five weeks of the year. Are you more glass half full, - I said, "Fim." day on his 26 outlook. In general, I really want to focus on taking players on good offense this year and on good teams. So for that reason, I am pretty much fading every jet to a degree. But there is one I'm going to draft in his breeze hall because I believe that for example, let's say breeze hall on Kenneth Walker switch spots. Now breeze hall is going above where Walker goes now. I think breeze hall is firmly a mid first round pick. He's the one on the tunes right now. There's no doubt in my mind that breeze hall has the elite town, the talent to be an elite RB1. He has overall RB, RB1 upside potential in hand in his ability. Zavla on the jets this year, probably not. But breeze hall is going in like the second half of the third round. That is a much more palatable price tag on a bad roster. Plus, we've already seen breeze hall put up the elite numbers. He was averaging 16 point four points for him. So rookie before he tore his ACL, that's on a bad jet team. Then 2023 coming back to the torn ACL. He has a 17 point one for him. That was his best season and one of his most efficient seasons. Last year, again, the Jax offense fell apart. He did the best he could. One concern people may have is Aaron Glenn talking about all I want to use all three backs. First of all, I don't buy that for a second. Second of all, Aaron Glenn's life, we can have the coaching this team by the end of October. So it won't be his decision anyway. If there is one jet, I'm going to draft. It will be breeze hall if you fall to the back end of the third round. Okay. Let's get to the giant guys. At the end of this year, Jason, will Jackson Dart be a top 12 fantasy quarterback? I mean, if he stays healthy, I don't see how he's not the historical precedent for guys who rush like damage, just that there's undeniable. I don't have the exact numbers in front of me, but I do actually I do. It's like I do. Last year, Jackson Dart became one of just 16 rookie hubies ever to average 17 plus points per game. And that included games. He didn't start. We can't only the starts, which is all we really care about. He averaged 20.5 points per game. He hit 19 plus fantasy points in nine out of 12 starts. And he did that with no Malik neighbors when he lost Hamsteadable, he had for the season with Wandao Robinson as the YBZ for one and a bunch of guys who should barely be on the field as the rest of the past hatchers. I mean, this office had nobody and Jackson Dart still produced elite QB1 numbers. Now he's not neighbors back. Isaiah likely. Well, I don't think he's as good as people think he is, but he's certainly an upgrade on the other past hatchers they have. They added. At least they added mouth. I feel it's I don't think he's really anything. They added Arnold Mooney, who was legit one of the worst. He was the NFL last year. But again, whole point is healthy neighbors, healthy shadow boo Isaiah likely. Better coaching staff. Jackson Dart, the only thing standing in the way of Jackson Dart is apparently these reports that they are begging him to slide and protect himself, which he absolutely needs to do. I mean, guy, the extra three hours don't matter. Now you're the legal game. I mean, third, I was like, you need an intervention after that legal game. What are we doing? What are we doing? Let's protect the body. We need to play 16 to 17 games. People want to watch every Sunday for the New York Giants. So seems like you're bullish on thought and you would advise people despite the fact that he might have a richer price tag because of the locality of where we live. He's what he had. Like, is you 15 best quarterback fantasy wise going into here? Oh my God. You're way, way off. The way way off. I have Jackson got a QB seven. Wow. You know what it is. I don't I don't factor in the running as much as I should. That's the problem I keep running until. Like, for example, the best comparison I can give is I heard someone's there's there's another person out there. I don't want to blame anybody here, but like it right Matthew Sanford is this QB five this year. And that's like way, way out of a baby figure. And like the rest is when you do something like that. Like what are you basically saying? You're saying I think he's going to throw 46 touchdown passes again because the only way someone like Saferd who is literally zero on the ground zero is going to get to top 12 or even top top 10 numbers. So if he has a 40 plus touchdown season, the only three times in his career, he's average 20 plus points per game is when he threw 40 plus touchdowns the only times ever happen. Jackson darn has Russian cheek note. He rushes for 500 yards. He can get there easily with Russian touchdowns and Russian production without throwing for more than like like 20 touchdowns. And that's that's the advantage that he has. That's why again, it's unfortunate because obviously Sanford is a far better real life quarterback than Jackson dark, but fantasy is not reality. And fantasy football, Russian's a cheat coat and Jackson dark has that to his game. And basically with Jason is telling you when you do your draft, you really want to quarterback. You do in modern fantasy football, it's almost a must at this point. However, if you do punt the position, you wait later. Typically, the pocket passers are the better guys to take if you're talking about outside the top 12. At that point, I take a staffer, I take Jared Godf's take those guys to Jordan Love because they're going to they're going to give you enough that you they can get that backing to do a production. But if you're looking for a guy who could put up top five numbers, you need one or two things. A Russian quarterback or a complete outlier touchdown season, the likes of you know, 2013 paid manning or best your math is that. Mr. neighbors can easily be a first round pick at the end of this year. If he goes in place like he did is a rookie. Is he going to be able to regain that form after the injury he had against the Los Angeles Chargers? What's a reasonable place to draft neighbors? Are you are you a or nay on neighbors? 2026. If you had me on this show in like two months ago, I would have told you there's no chance neighbors is playing week one. He's probably going to miss the first. You were very out on it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. I mean, full transparency. My read on it was like this situation is bad. The vibes are bad. Get a clean up surgery. Everything seemed very bad around neighbors. Then all of a sudden, doesn't go on pop. His shoulder practice is made and cuts on the knee. He looks like a guy who is not tentative regarding his injury, which is usually the biggest issue is that you're worried to make those breaks. So that's someone who had knee surgery himself. I actually did last year. I'm not sure if you're aware. I had knee surgery for a tour of Menescus. I mean, it took a while for me to regain the confidence to like slide on that knee. You know, I had a bowling for example. So I'm obviously I'm not like there was not a professional athlete, but that mental aspect it is tough. Can you get it? I get it on the other side. Yeah. I'm in my foot right now. I totally understand. I get neighbors. I'm not saying he's fully there yet, but based on where he is now, I am now recently confident that like he, if isn't playing week one, it's going to be early in the season. If you tell me neighbors is playing week one, I have a hard time not putting him in the middle of the second round at the absolute latest. I mean, I'm ranking my top eight. Why receivers probably that's what I have right now. So he's going to play week one as well. I would see for eight. Because the reality is if neighbors never tours ACL, regardless of the season yet, so you just told me forget what happened last year. You know, he didn't play for whatever reason. He's fully healthy coming to this year. I'd reckon why receiver four? That's where I have neighbors. He'd be a firm, mid to late first round fit. Even if he's not that guy until week six or seven, I don't care. You give me like why receiver two production for the first half of the season and then full Malik neighbor second half. Yes, I'm you about to take that a second round all day. All right. The giants are going to look to run the ball. Tundish here. That's the hardball DNA. They brought in record from Baltimore who's like your classic old school fullback. So I'm sure that's going to be a big part of the offense. Does that mean we want to be bullish on scatabood? We just hope it's scatabood and say this guy is going to be out if the three games because he's just a he's a literal record ball. Yeah. I mean, scatabood's mentality is it's great for like coaches love that. I'll smash football. Yeah. Power. But the guys doing backflips on his injured legs. It thinks it's cool. Crazy man. Crazy. Yeah. He's just wild. You know, he's a type of guy where they could be they could be up by 20 points in the third quarter. And he's going to drop his shoulder and barrel for that extra yard just because he wants to do it as opposed to like that to himself after getting it first down. He's that type of player which it makes you look to see as a coach. But ultimately you need these guys on the field. Camp scatabood. He hit double digit fantasy points in every game last season after I'm sorry for week two. I mean, he was a legit RB one. And you forgot his size. He doesn't profile. As a guy who should have a great classic action profile. But he does. He's a true three down back. And I think Tyrone Tracy will have a role. But Camp scatabood is probably an RB one for as long as he stays healthy. As long as he is healthy. Typically, we worry about the type of injury that he had. I mean, it was a gruesome injury. But guys like camp scatabood and pinch on drug gets for example, who had that that leg injury and then the fracture. These are young guys that can recover quicker. And by all accounts, they both are looking good at training camp. So I'm cautiously optimistic that we don't need to factor in the previous injuries. But again, we may need to factor in scatabood's general demeanor into his value. All right. Before we say goodbye, I want some rapid fire questions. You have to give me very quick answers and like 10 seconds or last. No explanation. I'm putting you on the spot. The quarterback everybody should draft this year. Tyler Murray. No, we're out of the Kyle business. We're not doing this again. No, he's free. He's free. You know what explanation, but now you got to get one. Okay. He's fine. I can't fair to last year. This again. Prior to last year, he was a QB one every year of his career is being drafted as a mid QB two now. That's my selling point. Kevin O'Connell, Justin Jefferson, Jordan Madison, one of the best, but that let me bet the Vikings over. Not let me bet the Vikings to make the playoffs and you will tell me I ain't taking another quarterback in addition to Kyle Murray. That's all that's fine. Yes. If you take out, if you're draft Tyler Murray, take a safe pocket pass or take a bigger make it, take a take a Jordan love. Aaron was somebody you know you can trust. Favorite wide receiver sleeper. I mean, I can't say Parker Washington anymore because he's going to be high. I'm going to say a former New York giant Wanda Robbins. Oh, we're Brian table on the Tennessee Titans. Okay. The New York fantasy player that will be most useful for fantasy teams this year. From I'm going to answer this question from an ADP value standpoint. Who I think can ask ADP exactly what I'm looking for. Perfect. I'm going to say Jackson Dart. Remember Jason said this. Final one. Will Malik Willis be worth the flyer for John Jeschowski and any fantasy league that he's in? Yes, he will. What do you have him ranked on your quarterback list for the season? 19. I have I have him ranked at a QB 18. right now, but the reality is the gap between like 11 and 20 is pretty much minimal. I mean, the nature of rankings you got to put them in order. If I was like, do we auction ranks? There'd be like eight quarterbacks at all with the same value. And this kind of correlates with the MVP. It's the final one. Is this the decoder year? Is this the Herbert year? Is this the Jordan love year? Is it everyone's talking up Caleb? I know my buddy Parkins in Chicago can't get enough of them. Who forget about like you like Kyler fine? Who will be the best fantasy quarterback this year? Is our final question. Jane Daniels. Wow, you're not worried about the injuries. You think all the way back? No, not worried. I mean, Josh Allen's gonna be the best fantasy quarterback, but like Jane Daniels is going to be the best. He's gonna finish us the QB2 this year behind Josh Allen. A lot of good stuff there from Katz. Katz is in mid season form. He's ready to kill. He's ready to go. Katz will see if for week one. It's weird this year because the NFL decides, hey, we're monopolizing every day of the calendar. So we're gonna have a Wednesday game. We're gonna have a Thursday game. So you're gonna have to have a couple of games on the develop. But you know what? It is what it is. People live. Yep, it's fine.
