I know we aren't live, so I don't even know why I'm mentioning that. But we had to go after game five, right? We got to do the stream on Tuesday night, which was a blast. We got another great game. We'll get into that one. I don't really know. I'm going to throw it over to you, Bayes. First, is to see what you want to say and where you want to start this all off right now. God, I think before we get to Busy, I think we have to mention what Jordan Stahl is doing right now. I think that right now, he has to be one of the main storylines. I mean, for years now, he's never scored at this type of rate. But you know, as his career, he's on the back nine and it's coming to an end. Maybe he plays another two, three more years. I don't know how much gas he has left in the tank. But it feels like he knows that this might be his last opportunity to ever win a Stanley Cup. And he is leaving it all on the ice boys. And it's been it's been unbelievable to watch such a ferocious leader and doing it everywhere, boys, like in the face off. Yeah, as you talk about how they'll have power plays, they'll throw them out there. Let's go win possession. Then he gets off. And I've noticed that they've also done an unbelievable job with monitoring his ice time and not overplaying him to let him concentrate concentrate on that penalty kill, bringing what they bring. Obviously, the PP, which I seem to have brought to life, obviously, the mishman himself. It's incredible, actually. Buddy, they just tied the highest amount of goals they've ever scored in a playoff series. And their organization's history going against, I think coming. It was the best PK in playoffs in Vegas. It was clipped at about 85, 90 percent, four, five short handed goals. You name it. And all of a sudden, the, the Canes power play has come to life for six goals in five games so far, the series. And a couple clutch ones in game five that, I mean, let's say, let's let's call a spade of spade. I think that they got the benefit of the dealt when it came to the amount of power play opportunities. The stone high stick double minor, yeah, that one, that power play goal sealed the deal. But even before that, they had the back-to-back ones where they were. Well, I mean, McNabb's that was such a big panel thing. That was a dumb one. I was a dumb one. And I saw a Bucciar guy. Bucci's tweet now die. It's like, I don't know, Blake's like five, six. He moves the pockets, plays dead. Just I get, you know, he's a machine of a defense McNabb. He's already gotten away with the Hall Cross check. And then he gets that one. I thought Blake was dead for a second. It was because it was on though. You couldn't see the boards with that camera view. And, you know, he gets up. Thank God, but stupid penalties. And I'm going to say this right now. Sunday night, I'm not starting card or heart. And I actually, I'm starting them because I'm a Carolina hurricane. Holy shit. I can't see a puck right now. He's given up four goals in every game. So wait, so, so, so, so who's going to start for them? We're guy. This your guy. I don't know if you two remember our walk home from the stream the other night, though. I said it. I said, leave Carter heart in Vegas. Don't even bring him on the flight cross country. Eight in Hill has to start that game because it's the away game. I was in my ass hole ripped upside down over here. For mentioning his name for mentioning his name. Yeah. And then he let in five goals or whatever was that are four in an empty net after you said, I can't stop the puck right now. How many, can we get a look up from G your fish? When was the last time in a cup final? Golly gave up four goals and never it's the first time a goal he's ever given up four plus goals in a all five games of Stanley Cup final. I mean, my how the turn, turn tables. What? I said, my how the turn tables. I don't even think you can finish it. I think the turn tables is kind of your line. And yeah, you were saying it earlier and people kind of laughed and you what do you mean people? Would you take some goddamn accountability? Yeah, but what do I don't consider this like at the same, the same scenarios when you originally bring it up when yeah, he did look question, but they were winning. They were winning and winning and winning. And now I mean, that's two in a row where all of them, they're not on heart, but it's like he's not making the big save. That's special called goal. Can't go in. It's on the ice pipe. Yeah. So the crazy part of this series, one of the 15 crazy things that we're witnessing. And anyone who's listening right now, everyone thought once they made it four two, I guess a couple of minutes ago, I was like, they're going to fuck a tie this one up. This is just going to be a of no flop of the wackiness, the crack hockey. No, not on bussy. This goalie situation and Brandon bussy and getting the chance to talk who called that one. Um, I don't know, but is was it you? Is this like the best show? Yeah, I call it from we've been on for seven minutes, he's already taken credit for their power play. He's pretty credit for bussy and he's now going to be taking credit if Hill goes in, which I don't think they'll go to Hillbiz. I think you got to ride with heartsy. It's game six. He's got here. You have to ride with him and hope your team scores five goals. Hey, but that's why I wasn't taking credit for bussy. I was in a point to the quarter that we flipped. Well, then I flipped. Well, I was going to flip that Yann's flipped and flipped very well. So credit Yann's for starting bussy in game four and now game five. He looks confident guys. He's making those big stuff. People were shitting on him for last games performance, but he he stopped the the stone breakaway off the hop. Like that first right out of the gate, he stopped that breakaway and that settled them down, gave the confidence so they were able to go out there and do their thing. So I think it's a completely different series with him and net and oh my god, do we have a great one? It's unreal. Just going back to the Jordan stall and I just think it's so cool. But it's it's he's the first player to score in five straight games in the Stanley Cup Final since 1956. Like I think of how many good players the Gretzky's, the Lemus, the everyone and since 1956 that hasn't happened for a guy like him to do it is incredible. Yeah, he has six goals. So I tweeted out what's the record. Somebody came back with 14, but I think that was like before the original six. I then I saw nine since the original six. Like so I still don't have the answer, but I'm going to go with nine. I'm going to go with nine. I mean, buddy, this guy he is so strong in front, he's so good at tipping puck. Some of the pasties getting these shot passes, they're phenomenal. He almost had another one in the third period. That was actually a pretty good save by heart. But the busty story to me is just incredible. And to get picked up on waivers, to sign with the Stanley Cup champs, drive to the AHL, get grabbed on waivers while you're in Carolina going to a friggin' Charlotte, take the left or the right or the whatever, the direction is to Raleigh, start your career the way he did, then whatever, I think he probably understood, they're going with the veteran and Anderson's playing great. But here's my question to you guys, like, Anderson's concussed, right? Like this is kind of a two-part question. But it almost made the decision easier. It's all the stars are lining. And is there a chance, like, so he's concussed because obviously he'd be the backup, right? Yeah, Barba Shevgottom. It's pretty decent, but Barba Shevgottom finishes that game, couldn't believe he didn't get taken out by a spot or finishes that game. So then it's all right, no questions. He's injured, we go with busty. And I would say there was a little worry for me game four because he gives up those goals. Like, it's two, they're up three, one, all of a sudden, it's three, three. But then he slammed the door, and tonight, he was great again. So I don't know if he's like, obviously he's fresh. I know that. Is it that much of a difference for Vega shooting on a left? I just think he's so fresh. You could tell that he's been staying in shape. You could tell he's been putting the work in, and then he wants to seize the moment. You could tell by the way a guy carries himself, the way he stands in the net, the way that his eyes are bugged out as he's looking through his cat eyes. And right now, he's kind of got that pop at his step. And he waited his turn. I think it's one of those situations where he's probably just grateful to be in the NHL, regardless of the fact that he had the start that he had. Well, Anderson was, I think, a little banged up and not playing great. So he got to ride his wave and, you know, through his experience and for whatever decisions they decided to start Anderson and playoffs, he's deserved the net up until now. If, even if he, if Anderson after game three was still saying, I'm okay, I can go. The hardest decision in Rod the Baud's career would have been like, I'm still going with Busty. I don't know if he would have done it. That would have taken some balls, but it was the, it was the, it was what needed to be done. It had to be done. I didn't feel the confidence from Anderson anymore, just from a viewing perspective, especially with the amount of breakdowns and grade A is you're going to see from the Vegas Golden Knights. Grade A scoring chances or at least scoring chances to begin game five. Like the tarot card lady said, when she do a Vegas, we're going to come out swinging. Eleven to one scoring chances in that first period. Eleven to one for Vegas. And who was there to stop all of them? Bust the bus man. I tell you who was there. And when I saw this, I said, oh, well, Caroline's got the chance to win the cup because this game fives over. And Mike Commodore in, in, in, in, in, in. In amazing fashion, obviously a big time player for that 2006 Stanley Cup team in Carolina, they had the robes. That was part of their story that he got the role, Bonnie. Look at Carrot top up there. And it's also on the heels of Babcock, which we'll get to possibly be back in the NHL. Holy shit. Do we have to talk about that? And Commodore, he cranked, he cranked that horn harder than any of us. Remember, cranked our own horn or any other horn. Remember, cranked up the sirens, not like of humans. I want to make it go here. Correct. Not this is anything wrong with that. But call me and now here's a thing. Here's a thing on this series. OK. I want to ask, Mer, you're the Vegas guy. We got mix, we got the Vegas insider. What has happened the last two games? Like what are you not seeing or seeing that maybe doesn't work for a team who just look dominant up until game four, basically? I don't know if I've been speaking Swedish or not, but I've been screaming at the top of my lungs to anyone that will listen, torts, change the lines. You should have left Ikel with Dorothy of in barberschev. That line was super. You had Mariner, Carlson, Howard and super line. And then Stone with Hurtle made that a formidable third line. When he switched that lines, they haven't been good sense. The whole team fell apart. It's a disaster. Now we have William Carlson with a broken wrist. He's done for the series and he threw the lines in a blender again, panicking. He threw Mariner up there with Stone and Ikel. Who scored the goals today? Dorothy of both goals. Who are they assisted by both goals? Jack Ikel, it's not fucking rocket science. Wow. Morals what the I told you so yeah, that coach is just I told you so. It's just a yeah, if Morals says it, it's going to lead to an I told you so because the man knows Pock buried the lead a little bit. You just mentioned it Carlson gets driven into the wall by Walker. Now I don't remember game 4, but Blutman and Blutman, Blutman is down bad right now. Walker was playing like a staff. He played unbelievable tonight. That pass on real. But Walker rides Carlson and Blutman had mentioned in game 4. He messed up his arm or wrist or whatever. But immediately you could tell he basically is like, oh no, goes to the bench. Trainer looks at him, skates off the ice and torts then goes to the trainer and ESP or ABC did a great job. And the trainer whispered something to him and you just see him. That was the same guy who told me my ACL was torn. Mears. Yeah, I had him in Ontario. Same guy. Bolt of him. Okay. And then he, he, he, he, he mows that over. And then the coach did the palm of what he told you. Yeah. He got him. Get back. I don't get him back on Twitter and all the guys are like, coach, did you tell your business healthy? Nothing's bad. He's like, no, he told me he's fucking. Don't ever play with him again. He's like, you promise? It was both promise. Oh, she's, that changed him up. We all remember listeners and us remember Gary lawless coming on saying, I don't know if he's going to play this series and him playing that night against Anaheim. And since he came in, they had, they had, they had Mariner back at the wing. They had their second line. They were dominant. They were out and scoring all these goals. And now it's like, man, Lutman called him the heart and soul of the franchise. I said the franchise doesn't have a heart. But if Vegas fans want to say that he's the heart, okay, I would agree with that. And it looks to be that he's done, right? You can't do anything if your fucking arms broken. No, but how much like, how much are we putting on Gary lawless for not coming on the show before the, oh, but maybe there's going to be a point like he should be begging to call in right now with them being down. Like he should be begging to call in and as much as I want Vegas to win, I don't think we take that phone call. He tried to big time. Yeah. I agree. I agree. Also, Vegas, they should be calling me. I'm three and oh in the building in Vegas in the shadows of finals. My phone, I'm looking for a free flight and free hotel. You know, Vegas, sweet, couple buffing. Oh, we should send you the jet. He should send a jet over. I'm leaving for Sweden tomorrow, 135 from Boston. You got a little bit of time, Vegas golden nights. You breaking news. This is John Torrella just now we'll be back here. We're just going to do it in a different order. I'm leaving my clothes here. I'm leaving them in the hotel. So I mean, bulletin board material, torts and messier. I could see it. We will win. We will win game six. That's basically what torts just said. If he's leaving, unless he's Alan Iberstage and Lee holds it every hotel. Torque is guaranteed. He's like, my wife got me the suit. I hate it. I know. Morales just said it. But torts also said William Carlson will likely not return to the series. I think you got to get Willie cranking the horn with the good arm. Yeah. That's what I think. If you want to get the boys going. Morales, if you really want to win, well, four and oh, you want to be four and oh, call me up. How are you not going out there? He wants to keep his marriage alive. I guess there's a young man's game now. We have another unbelievable quote from torts here. Wow. We got more torts here, more torts. Tortor Ella. This is from Greg Musinski. Tortor Ella responds to a question about swapping eight and a hill for Carter. Oh, he heard you. He heard you. He heard you. He heard you. Anyone who says it is an asshole. Exactly. He goes Christ. That could be the stupidest question I've ever heard. What? It's not the stupidest question. He's deflecting. He says that. He's deflecting. He's deflecting. He's deflecting. He's deflecting. He's deflecting. Boys. Boys. And he was unbelievable. I remember watching a series. Yes, was Florida banged up. Were they getting opportunities? Fuck, he stood on his head. I don't know. I got so much hate. I even had old teammates. Am I telling you? How big of a. I was an idiot via text. I had to hop on the phone and defend my take about saying, "What is so crazy about saying a Stanley Cup winning gold tender potentially coming in who's been farther and a cop us more in the NHL than Kata. Yeah, the the difference is they put and on the road in a non elimination game. It was the perfect chance to throw them in, and then you go at home. It's exactly why Vegas should have put Hill in on Carolina. It's not an elimination game. It's on the road. Maybe you steal it if not Carter Hearts rested at home. - Yeah, so you can't do it at home now? - No, because it's an elimination game now. Eden Hills first game in three months is gonna be an elimination game. Can't do that to the guy. - Our game would be that he was just so persistent this year. - I mean, that's probably like courts. Like, ah, did you watch this guy this year? Like, it was just brutal, but back to Carolina, obviously stalls the storyline. He is now the chalk minus 110 to win the cons might this year, which makes total sense based on this series and just being the captain and the leader he is. - I can't get over it, I mean, come on. - He was plus 5.50 yesterday with Memesy. We're having a couple of dope beverages. It said, which the odds on stall to win the cons might from her. And I said, Memesy, I'd like that idea. Let me look it up plus 5.50. And now it's down to minus one or one or two. - I believe he was, was he not 80 to one like after game two? - Like probably. - It's just been, it's been domination by him, but I was kind of talking about him, but Stankovan is unbelievable. - He's been awesome. - He is, he gets in on the four check. He gets underneath guys. I saw a clip on social of his dad being interviewed. His dad's tiny too, he's just talking about like, basically the heart he has. He's like, it doesn't matter if you're small, you could beat like him. And he wasn't being cocky or anything. He was just like, yeah, the kid's just kind of a dog. And I watch him out there and he gets underneath McNabb a couple times tonight. I didn't love and I love his game, shake the adores game tonight. I don't know, just, I mean, he got the assist on the door fee of second one. But overall, like, I lost a couple battles. And Stankovan just continues to just kind of shock me, I guess, because he's so small. And we all were like, this is your second line center. And he's making us look like an idiot. - Well, you mentioned his father, right? Wasn't his father, he talked to during Olympic break. And he had a little heart to heart with him. And I think he was more of a little bit of frustration. The points weren't coming. And maybe some struggles at moving to a new position at the NHL level, but my God, he has been just an absolute bulldog. That whole line, like I love Watts and Jackson Blake play. And then Halsey, like when he first used the Bennett comparison, I was like, I thought that that was a bit of a reach. But as the finals, as those series progress, I think he said it in the conference finals or right before it. I mean, fuck man, he's making some big plays. He's always making the hard play, too. He's taking it to the inside himself. He's completely changed his game from maybe what it was, like five, 10 years ago. So just a credit to that whole second line. And throughout a lot of these playoffs, there's almost a bot time for that first line to show up. And then tonight, I was such a fucking big game for Sfetch. Like he needed one of those big times. I think he only had a goal in the end. - And a whole. - Aho was marvelous. So really both of them in what they've been able to do last couple. - Yeah, to stay on Carolina and Theodore is not a great game. Was it Martin Nook when he got in on that four check? - Oh, yeah. - That was a lot of me. - Was that the, was that Theodore who was back there? Yeah, I think it was right away. - Yeah, that's why I thought it was him. That's kind of what I was thinking of is, I mean, give Martin a credit, but. - That was when he tried to go to Elias, I believe, and miss them and it went to Walker at the point. And he's the one who sent it over to Aho. And talk about us, talk about the skate to stick play and flick of the wrist, top Gs, man. Like that's hard, man. Carter Hart can get over quick, right? But he didn't give him much time with that skillful play. So just remarkable stuff and it all starts with Martin Nook. That's a heart and soul guy right there for the Carolina Hurricanes. - Carolina Hurricanes, most multi-point games in Stanley Cup Final history. 2026, Ebers has three stalled as two. Glossess Bear has two. So you're just seeing so many different guys from this lineup make an impact. Glossess Bear look awesome. He is like, I know we've kind of set it over and over but underrated him a lot and then he's just been dominant. And I'm just. - Do you see that stick play he made defensively in the first? I think it might have been on the corner. Oh my God. He's gonna done both ends as well. - Didn't notice Martin much tonight, but you know what the way he's been playing this playoffs? Like those got, they're gonna be ready to go for game six. They're gonna have a leadership meeting on the plane back tomorrow, whatever it is. This team's gonna be ready to go on one of this. - So what happens? You've had Mariner who stepped in as second-line center when Carlson was out the whole year. Are you putting them back right there, Mar? - As long as you keep Michael with Dora Feef. - In Barbershed, then I don't care. Do whatever you want with the rest of them. Stone would hurtle, I need stone would hurtle too. I need those two big, slow, smart players just, just forces. So who do I got left? How'd in Mariner? - Which sizzles in the middle of those guys? - Everybody's gonna have to step up. Who we got in the minors? 'Cause I don't want to break up the other lines. I like that fourth line. They play good together. - I like the fourth one. - And I want that third line to cheer out, and I got to find a guy from the minors. Maybe I can play in a game too. - I'll tell you. - I'll tell you. We didn't mention what could have been an all-time blooper in game four with a wide open net to take the lead for three. He completely bites it, Ryan Whitney style on a pivot. And this guy just no quit falling down, gets a backhand or off heart swimming around again. Like he has been all series and the thing goes in. And the celebration is what made it. He's on the ground, face into the ice, just fist shaking, going crazy like a Viking that he is. So that goal, I think you said it there in the last year, like that had the chance to be a straight up blooper. One you never ever, ever wanna remember or be a part of if it's you. And he bangs it in and just makes a beautiful goal happen instead. - Yeah, it's just like, I felt like while he was falling, he could just picture 'cause I played with Mark and Eric Stahl, both hilarious guys and relentless churpers. I feel like Jordan could foresee the text messages. He was gonna be getting after the game, if he missed that. And then he's like-- - The finals are given it to him, you think? - Oh, I'm 1 million percent. And then he's just, I gotta get some wood on this and finds a way to score. And Hart got over, almost made the save. Just the-- - Just trickled over his glove. - Yeah, so yeah, I mean, just shows what a fucking horse that guy is. Anyone else is on the ground, not getting any wood on it. - Another big time move. We're flip-flopping between games. Obviously right after this one, you're thinking more of this one. But, Rod the Bond, man, this guy makes a hell of a movie, puts Martin up with Ajo and Svetchenkoff, then Jarvis down with Stahl and Eelers. Probably makes those two lines a little bit more even, right? You get a little bit more offense from Jarvis, who's now with Stahl and Eelers, and Eelers has been so good offensively. And then you get Martin up, maybe grinds it out a little bit more for Ajo and Svetchen. Ajo, both score, no granted, Svetches are on the power play, but I like that. That's a ball, see, move, and a murd. That's kind of similar to the way you liked Vegas' lines with Stone on the third line. - You got to spread it out a little bit, but another thing I noticed in this game was the crowd down in Carolina. They were going nuts, and I loved how half of them were standing the entire game it seemed. - Tarps off, still. - They just gave that team the extra energy, and that's what home crowds are supposed to do. So, got to shout out those bligerant Carolina fans. - Ray Ferrero said it's way louder in Carolina. - And they don't pump fake noise in, which is kind of BS. If you're pumping fake crowd noise in the building, is that happening in Vegas? - Oh yeah. - Yeah, yeah, that's a thing. - They're pumping like tunes or fake crowd noise. - I think it's to elevate the crowd noise, to help with it. We were there at the start of the year against the Kings, and I'm pretty sure that's what goes on. It's loud in there, don't get me wrong, but I think you can tell when it's coming from people rather than just the sound system. And when we were in, I've never been there, but I would imagine, is Bristol the NASCAR race? It just feels like, they say 'cause the building's all cement, that it just vibrates, and the noise kind of radiates off the walls, and it was louder than Montreal. - They're like an SEC football crowd. - Yeah, they're like a NASCAR crowd. They just get rowdy, they're drinking, I haven't found you a guy in that city. You see have you say that guy in a blow up outfit that's always there they always show with the big bus sign on it today. He wears yellow now is as bus. Yeah, they're not drinking athletic brews too many athletic brews out in the way they look some of those fans walking in today. Did you guys read this one Jordan stall would overtake Tim Thomas as the oldest person to win the cons might by 150 days if he were to win it. Did you or did you read that yet? No, I didn't know that. Did he read it? He didn't. So we didn't know. We talked about it like so. It's not all you do in the finals to win cons might it's kind of everything throughout the playoffs, right, but him putting this performance in it was so even like there was no. No one on the market martyrs like above everyone else and then the finals obviously did even more, but Carolina was kind of like Anderson, I think was the guy. Yeah, he was. Hey, even the goalie anymore, and Bizz had to remind me because it feels like it was two seasons ago. I was at 11 seconds in or three seconds into the first game. He fought Brady could chuck. Yeah, everything off. So he he does have the full body of work for the whole playoffs. And he's take he's won 8 million face offs. No, yeah, the face off things getting out of control. Merne and Bizz, I know you guys are together with the guys during this one with all the comebacks we've seen, including game four. It's 3 1 Carolina, all of a sudden, it's 3 3, where you waiting for Vegas to get one or didn't tonight feel a little different to you. So if we're going back to game four, I was confident that bus. He was going to close the door because of the tarot card lady reading and she has been right about every game and they and they said it was going to be a barn burner, but then yet they were going to prevail. And I just figured tonight, she said tonight that day that that it was going to be a storm early from the Vegas golden nights in which it was 11 to 1 in scoring chances. And that ultimately that Carolina would prevail. Yeah, I know that she's 5 for 5 simulation. Is she giving out her game 6 pick yet? No, I think she does it like a day or two in advance. In this case, it might come out tomorrow, but I would imagine it's two days and memes found game five. I actually didn't watch game fives until game fives was over. Yeah, memes gives them gives out the picks after the games, but no, but time out, but I saw it on my own timeline before game four. That's why I I kind of knew that what was going to come because she'd been bang on the three prior games, but tonight though felt a little different when they when they were up for two. And they took that puck over the glass from Elers. I thought that they it's something squarely was going to happen and off of the night, like going back to last night, the nicks had a 29 point come back. So I'm just like, oh, we're going to be getting some crazy playoff finals action going here. So I just had this weird feeling that Vegas was going to come back. But ultimately, Bussie. Three was it three puck over the glass. Three tonight, Kionger Miller had one and then Elers had two. That was their only penalties. They took. I mean, so disciplined teams just if they're they're very disciplined. I noticed that when they're on, like a couple of times, like defenseman snapping up nice passes in the neutral zone and like, you can't, it's hard to even tip it in for Vegas. Like they're just in your face in your face. And when they're going like that, that's like the, I mean, obviously, Montreal was not not a team like Vegas or not that good, but it's, it's like the same feeling at certain moments in tonight's game of like, you can't get anything. I mean, what was it? They had 13 14 shots with like 10 minutes to go in the game. Yeah. Another thing too. I mean, we mentioned McNabb getting injured and then Carlson now luck as far as guys staying healthy and the injury bug is a major, major factor here. I mean, all of a sudden, the PK has struggled a little bit since McNabb got that puck in the face. Like he's a big part of that. He was in the box for the one that the Blake one went in. I think that was the five hole from from Svetchenkov and then and then also, I mean, I mean, Carlson. That one doesn't we can't, we don't need to overstate that one again. But right now, just a couple. Significant injuries in the Vegas goldmine lineup. What do you got yannzy anything else? No, I think we touched on right for both games. Boss man, boss, the first goalie in NHL history to make his first two career playoff starts in the cup finals and win both of them. So just to see his interview after game four as well, where I think it was Kyle Bukowskis mentioning and showing him the video of his past. He's got a lot of parents in the crowd and he got pretty emotional and I think for a guy like that, it's it's probably even even more emotional to watch because like you were never a sure fire vet to even play in the NHL like you were on waivers and camp and now you're winning a cup final game and your parents are there and it's like the emotion takes over, but it was a pretty cool moment that shows it it takes a village, right? Imagine what his parents have meant to his career and it's not just like the rides and what people talk about in terms of being having good hockey parents and all the time they give up. It's probably a lot of like therapy sessions at times with his dad or his mom when you don't know if you ever make it and you get you get sent down, you don't make the team and they're just the ones that are probably keeping him pretty positive, which he seemed to be a very positive guy when we interviewed him. I really enjoyed chatting with him. So that was pretty cool to see the emotion that he was going through even saying like, I didn't know you're going to make this fry. They were showing him again tonight, especially as a goalie too, right? When you're younger, you probably don't have the goalie coaches on the ride homes, you're talking with your dad or your mom getting everything off your chest, whatever it is. But when we interview, he just seems so in the moment with everything that he kind of does and you can tell on the ice like he's never too high, never too low. He's smiling out there if he needs to. He's serious. He's got the crazy eyes going. He seems like just a prototypical perfect goalie that nothing really rattles him and he's been incredible. I don't know like it does honestly seem which it shouldn't in the NHL, but that opposite hand is just screwing with the Vegas Golden Knights a little bit. Yeah, there's definitely some things that go different on it. I got to ask you guys, is it his net the rest of the way no matter what happens in Vegas on Sunday? I think so. Yeah, especially if Anderson's actually hurt. Yeah, that if it was the hurt, maybe he doesn't play well, gave six day lose. They go back to him at this point. Now it's like. And and it's just back to like the guy who's unbelievable all season, whatever he played. I mean, what do you lose five games? The way this the way this series and season of gone. It's going to be Anderson vs. Hill in game seven. Fucking give me a break. No, it'll be like, check off. Holy shit. Now I said Keynes in seven before the series. So I still think with the madness of this series, Vegas could pull it off. Paulson things. It's heart not being able to stop the puck or not be able to not give up four goals and then the Carl sent. I don't know what's more worse or more important. I guess heart considering Carlson's now done and towards thinking we're all complete idiots for even mentioning us former Stanley Cup winning gold tender for that organization possibly playing for a guy who can't save the puck. Don't you think just confidence wise like Carter Hart seen those quotes from his coach and he's like, yeah, listen, I know I've given up for every game. This guy's got my fucking back. I got to go out there game six. Yeah, I don't mind nuts off. And I like to play from towards to stick with his guy. You know, and what was the last game? Hell played. Right. So it's like you stick with your guy who's got you there. You got to ride them. And and if he can get you two more wins. If not, it's like you still you still you had your guy and you went with him. You you lived by the sword died by the sword. I want to say to Carolina fans. There's one thing I don't love. And going back to 2024. For the oilers they went three in a row to force a game seven and the two days off. And I think Carolina would be begging to play this game Saturday night that extra day off going home. I think it helps Vegas. Maybe the pace Carolina plays with just to get them a little bit more energy they like, but I'm looking to get back on as quick as we can to try to lift Lord Stanley. And now Vegas just an extra day leader, you know, a very veteran group. Would you not agree that that helps them? I think it always helps the losing team. It didn't it showed in game four. They had the break after game three two days. Carolina, you know, it's not as bad as a thing. So you get that extra day. And just it's a brand new start. Yeah, especially for I think bossy would rather play that, you know, one day in between a match in the club, I'll hold those guys who scored got feeling good about themselves. So with the extra day might be worse on them. So yeah, I think if you're a golden night fan, you're happy for the extra day. Pretty crazy that that was the first game of the cup final that wasn't tied at any point of the third period. And the ratings, they've just gone up and up and up. I'd like to see tonight's, but I'm assuming it's higher than game four, which was higher than game three, which was higher than game two and so on. So the ratings have been incredible. The hockey's been unreal. Let's hope we get at least one if not two more, more nuts, so crack hockey games. That would be ideal. What anything else, but any you guys on this series, no, I think we've, I think we've covered it all and it's been great. It's lived up to every bit of hype and we talked about it before it started like people are like, ah, there's no one's going to watch it boring storyline. Are you out of your fucking mind, buddy? buddy, this is on everything we expected and more. so far in this series, we didn't, we didn't think Carolina was going to be able to keep up goal wise with the Vegas goldmites. Yeah, it is crazy, but it's insane. That was, yeah, that was one thing. Can they score? They haven't really had to score that much, and they're scoring. I don't ever remember seeing them score like this. I'm sure there's times in regular season they're putting up this many goals, but I thought these would all be two one. Well, let's, um, this will be the last pod. This will, there won't be another pod before the game on Sunday. Right now, it's, it's a, it's a coin toss minus one pen. Who are your picks for game six? Who you got winning with? I got, I only because I picked Carolina and seven. I'm going to just stick to my guns there and script. I'm going to, I'm going to say four to Vegas with an empty netter. So heart is able, and I'm called for his job, but he's able to not give up four goals. And we see a game seven. Yeah, as much as I'd like to wait till the tarot card reader lady puts out perfect to give mine, uh, I'm going Vegas and I like a four or three over time win. I, I have a feeling it's going over time too. And I, I'm going to say, I'm going to say four or three over time as well. Yeah. And I'm going to steal your pick. I like that. I think he's up, Doc. What a, what a course of overtime. Say it on three, one, two, three, what would you say? Howding. Oh, all right. That's what I got. It's going to be a great game. Yeah, I, I got a, I got to go with Vegas. I think it's going to be low scoring. We're going to get one low scoring game. Give me the three, two over time. Vegas with stone doing it and coming by with his big hand and all that. And then I'll fly back from Sweden for game seven because I got to see the cup on the ice every year. Yeah, big knob. March. Yeah, stone, but the cup would be in the building for game six. If you want to change that flight to Sweden from, to Vegas, I, yeah, I, I feel like they have you. Pinky. Vegas calls me. I'm in. Take it easy tomorrow night in Vegas, rip it up Saturday, rip it up Sunday. Then fly to Carolina where there's another two days off. They wouldn't play till Wednesday game seven. You got this. And then right back to Sweden on the grind, daddy daycare style. Stella Blue coffee, ready to drink canned lattes are officially available nationwide at target. That's right. I got to say, if my mom or my wife's listening, I could use one of those pink ones. I like that pink. Oh, good. My new one. Yeah, father's day coming up soon, right? Father's day coming up stains on it. I feel like that pink one is just perfect for everything. Mother's day, Easter. You know, when you got to dress, you can't wear a chicklets t-shirt. No, I got to dress up a little bit more like twice a year. You ever do the tie with the golf shirt? No, I'm back. Is that a real mark in the day? Yeah, back in the day. Sometimes if you forgot to dress shirt on the road, but you had a call or the one on top of the tie. That's a nice fly. I mean, I don't even, I didn't even like the short sleeve dress shirts with the tie. Oh, those are my favorites. That's a bad look. So, um, I think next on the docket is quite obvious. Just a wild, wild story. Oh, yeah. It's very funny to kind of indirectly, like comes back to us a little bit. We're not looking to ever get people fired. We're not looking to really break news. We're just kind of the guys who talk about what, what's happened? You don't dig what has happened. This is not dig. We're not diggers. But Mike Babcock is apparently the oiler's choice to be their new head coach. Now, a bunch of things to discuss here. Like, well, I'm going to start it off with like, what a fucking clown show the oilers have been. But let's, let's, let's go over the, let's go over the oilers during the oilers and they lost. Let's go over the oilers since they lost. It breaks that they want to talk to Bruce Cassidy. They need permission from Vegas. Vegas says, no, they have not set a word about Chris, not block. They think they're going to be able to get an interview, Bruce Cassidy quietly. If they get him or want to hire him or decide to hire him, they'll then fire Chris, not block. Well, the news breaks because they're not allowed to talk to him. So then they have to fire Chris, not block. They're then talking about trading or making nurse, make his no move clause, not valid and work with him to make a trade. That leaks before they talk to him. All of a sudden they want to hire Mike Babcock. That's the guy they're going to go with because they must know Vegas is never going to say, yes, to Cassidy, then the NHL PA has to go and launch an investigation that was going to happen before he resigned from Columbus, but after his resignation, before he ever coached a game, by the way, the investigation was canceled. What a cluster, fuck, what a clown show. And then now it's coming out that nurse is requesting a trader. Is that false? And then I don't, I don't, I don't know where that, I saw that pop up, but I'd never know what's bad. He's probably seeing all the shit go down and saying, fuck, I'm done. I'm done with my name getting dragged through the mud. Give me the fuck out of here. Yeah. And I don't want to play for Babs either. Now I do have to say that it's the players, obviously, in Edmonton. And when people say the players, I'm pretty sure it's two plates. And maybe it's not just those two guys and maybe I'll be asked Jari to and then Hyman. And yeah, they're, yeah, exactly. They're asked people have said, Hyman's been the biggest advocate. Oh, I think Hyman, Hyman is a part of that leadership group. I think New York Hopkins is a part of the leadership groups. I thought nurse was, but he's now gone. Well, they asked me, said no, so they told him he had to go. They want Babcock. Okay, that is why it is hard to sit back and just completely carve this considering the players were brought in and just, and everything was discussed with them. And apparently they met with Babcock. I don't know who, but some of them did and they're like, this is who we need. On the other side of it, I'm going to say this is a fucking joke. I cannot believe, I cannot believe the amount of talented hockey coaches that are in the world right now, that Mike Babcock, this, this, this, there's 15 to 20 guys who publicly have spoken about how bad of a guy Mike Babcock is. And, and we got a team that literally needs to win Stanley Cup next year, pick and Mike Babcock, who hasn't won a playoff series in 13 years. He want to Stanley Cup with the legitimate, like, well, look at a team that beat us. Yeah, they were all the fucking hall of fame half of them. It's not exactly like he wanted gold medals. You've seen the rosters of the gold medal teams. Gee, could have used them this year. I don't understand of all the people out there. Mike Babcock, that's what they call it. It's great. So from, from Mike this year, like when it broke entertainment perspective of it, it's like, Oh, you love this. You love it. Well, no, but there's two, two sides of the coin. I love it because it's like, Oh my God. Like this is a fucking insane storyline. Like what are the chances that this dysfunctional team we just talked about who went through the Cassidy situation is now bringing in Mike Babcock. Like, that's a crazy thing, like, right? Like, that's like, like, if you would have said, give me your top 50 craziest headlines. Nobody in their mind would have guessed that nobody would have guessed that. The other side, I think we mentioned this joking on an episode. Yeah, because exactly, that's how far fetched it was. We were stupid enough to say it. But the other side of it, I don't, I'm okay if this guy coaches again. Like, I'm okay with it. Like who the fuck am I? I didn't break any laws. Yeah, I mean, maybe in some cases with taking a guy's phone and asking it. Oh, because I think they like handed over the phone. Well, I get there's some discrepancy there. Like, I don't think legally this guy, like ever, right? Like, but also, but if you got Mike Commodore saying, fuck you. Biz, no way he should coach again. I'd say, well, I'm going to sit this one out because I wasn't a guy who we personally, like, basically shit on, bags skated, try to strip all of his confidence. And it's actually play mind games with him. And Mike Commodore is not the only guy who talks about it. We've told plenty of examples. We talked about the Mike Medano 1500 game and the fact that he wasn't able to play it because whatever, whatever reason, Babcock had some personal vendetta against him. The Yohan, well, that's when he said, we didn't bring in here to play 1500 games. We brought you into when the Stanley Cup, when they could have done both. They could have done both, but the Yohan frauds and stuff is probably the worst stuff. We've heard as far as the martyrs, the martyrs shed his kind of ridiculous, too. What do you have to, what do you do? He told them right, right down the, like, the five laziest guys on the team basically and then he called them all and then and then then he went in the room and read the list. So just stuff like that, putting guys behind the eight ball and stuff where it's like there's enough like mental energy to go around to like fix the power play and help this guy and help that guy where why are you taking brain power to do the type of shit that we've heard that he's done behind the scenes. And obviously the most recent get the younger guys and it's also been described publicly as the fact that it was all he would show pictures of his family on his phone and then ask the the married guys with kids to show the their family photos. And yes, that type of situation has happened with Babcock and former teams and maybe even some of the players in Columbus. But the problem what was happening was he was basically getting these younger players to open up their phones and scroll through. Do I know what he was looking for? I could have been maybe text messages between some of the younger players and their other buddies about the fact that he's even a fucking head coach again in Columbus. Could it be that he wants to see party pictures like in the past like we've heard from Tyson Berry where he wants to know what your habits are off the ice and wants to get the upper hand by looking at what you have as far as pictures. Oh, this is this is what you think is funny. This is what you're sharing with your buddies. This is what you're taking photos of. So I just think it's it was a massive invasion of privacy. It was a type of, you know, another way to get a mental edge because maybe he can't get away with the stuff that he did earlier in his coaching days. But with all that said, maybe he will finally learn from all that. And maybe we're going to see a different version of Mike Babcock. I don't care. I don't got to be in that fucking room. I don't give a flying fuck. If that leadership group with their that desperate to find a coach that they think can steer them the right way to win a Stanley Cup. And they think the answer is Mike Babcock will then go have it. And if they win it and he's a change man, it's a great story. If he's going to continue to be in an asshole like like Commodore says, it's not the the McDavid's or the dry side. Also those those guys who made the decision for him to be coached are going to suffer. It's the arena staff guy. The parking lot attended. It's the people that in Mike Babcock's world don't really matter like the fourth liners and the guys he can fucking toy with. It's it's those people that you got to worry about. And that's why Mike Commodore has been doing the media tour and talking about it because he dealt with it firsthand and he can speak to it. So once again, there's two sides to this. The entertainment Babcock's back. Oh my goodness Edmonton Oilers. They're in desperate need of a Stanley Cup during Conor McDavid's core years. And if they don't get it in the next year or two and this doesn't work, he's probably gone. Yeah, that's fucking entertaining for what we do here as a podcast. But I'm not taken away any of the feelings that the Tyson berries, the the mariner's, the the franzans, the the Commodore's. I'm not taking away their firsthand experience as to how hellish this guy can be. There's more than kind of goes into this. This is according to Frank Sarvali. So he said, um, yesterday, no, Wednesday, if the oilers elect to continue down the path with Mike Babcock, sources say the NHLPA is in receipt of significant additional claims from their own investigation with players that were so not publicly reported. Then he says furthermore, sources indicate that asking players to see photos is not what ultimately resulted in Babcock's resignation. It was the subsequent unknown allegations reported below. So it's like there's even more that we didn't even know about at the time of the Columbus resignation. The only thing I was going to say is like for McDavid and dryside on that core group, like, it gives them an out in a year. If it if it goes sideways with him as the coach, they can be like, Hey, listen, it didn't work here. Now I want out. So I if I was them, it's like, yeah, whatever. If you really want to bring this guy in, whether do you think McDavid and dryside will went to Kate and said, Hey, we need it's them coming to exactly in saying, Hey, all men coming to to hit them saying, Hey, look at what this guy's done. We're thinking of him. We can't get Cassidy. Why don't you guys meet with them? What the fuck do you think he's going to say to Leon Actona? Hey, boys, how's the summer going? We'll get 130 points in the next year. It's like fucking ruin a fourth line of life and end for them in therapy. Which by the way, that's a joke because McDavid, I mean, it's just it's just kind of ridiculous and like stand moments. The GM and Babcock's the coach is like, listen, and I'd love to get stuff on the talk about it. But it goes back to the management shit and he said, Oh, you know, you weren't as hard on Colorado as Edmonton. I think there's been a lot more fumble fucking here from Edmonton Oilers management. There has been from Colorado. And then now you stop saying like, there's no doubt in his mind that that Connor McDavid is going to be here for the next seven, eight years after this year. He doesn't really speak on a turn. Okay. So all of a sudden, the Babcock hiring's going to change that or was he just given them a couple of three years at 12 and a half? Like, what's going on here? You tell me if we get the next year of what we just saw this year that he's going to stay for that second year or that 12 and a half million dollar deal. No, I don't know. I'm not calling stuff a liar either. I'm just kind of saying like, Hey, man, we're just we just posed the questions around here and it seems a little ugly on that side right now. And it seems like a major, major desperation move. Didn't I'm in just higher Babcock's son and for the junior. Yeah. That's what I was going to ask you when don't you find that funny that they hired him first and it was kind of the news Babcock's back as coach saw a landl team off landl and then they bring them there. So I just feel like maybe that's how it went Leon. They're all meeting around and I'm and they're like, I'm in like, what was he like? You think he's the one that could get us over the. Oh, I'm in Hyman's career. Talk off with him. And I'm guessing that he's a guy that Hyman would say, Hey, like, he played the shit out of me. I he probably taught me a lot on on how hard I have to play like, you know how hard that guy plays for checking wise in front of the net. And Babs gives him a real chance and he goes on to be a real good player of the leaves. Science a huge ticket and look at him now as a player. I mean, he scored 50 fucking goals last year, two years ago. So that's a guy that would probably have some things to tell Connor and Leon, like, Hey, like. And by the way, like Toronto is pretty good with him is. I know they never really did much, but they had some good teams. Um, but I like, like I said, I have no problem with him even getting another opportunity, but that's yeah, I kind of do. I kind of do, man. You're more of this. It's such an honor to coach in the. It's such an honor to coach in the NHL. I know I'm but right. And I'm not trying to like make light of what has happened. I'm a big second chance guy. You could you might be saying, well, fuck, you already got a second chance. The second chance was coming back with Columbus. And you didn't even make it over at a training camp. That crowd right there, I just refuse to be the type of guy to stop on someone's grave. You just got to hope that somebody like that, like, you know, it learns from what he's done. I mean, what's the guy 50 something years old? He has to learn at some point to not be a fucking asshole or treat people respect. Yeah, I think there are some people in life who never learn. I think that I'm with you, dude. I know you're you're an optimist and you see the best in people and I I wish I was more like you. I think I'm getting better as I age, but there's definitely people who just don't change. And the fact of the matter is the guy can obviously coach. I was making a joke before about the Red Wing's team he won with. And but he brought that duck's team to the cup file in 03. And he obviously excellent old wise knows what he's doing. I mean, you're not running hockey Canada and wouldn't two gold medals. If you're not dialed, it's just the off ice stuff. And like, beyond the fourth liners and the six and seven defense when we can torture, because it's never the superstars who catch the heat. Once it starts coming out that he's like giving it to arena workers and parking attendance, too. It's like, this guy's coaching the fucking oilers in the second to last year of McDavid's contract. But, but McDavid's like, okay, with it. So that's where as an oilers fan, I'm kind of like, I mean, how are you supposed to say like, how are you supposed to completely carve it? Although I think I'm completely carving it with the best player in the world being like, no, like this is who we want. Obviously, you're an Edmonton fan. What do you think fans are saying? Like, have you read anything on Twitter? I've seen I've seen. I think I would say what I've read is like 60 40 don't like it, but there are fans who listen, all oilers fans, I think agree. You need a little bit of a hard aspect there now. You know, I don't think Woodcroft was super tough on them. The odd blocks are not like barely spoke. I mean, I don't even, I never see that guy make a facial expression on the bench. He was just even keeled. And now I think they want somebody that's demanding. And but once again, like, Leon and Connor, they don't, what are you going to say to them? They're the best players. They don't really fuck up. Now would a guy come in there like Cassidy or Babcock would be like, hey, I was bullshit from you guys tonight. You were defensively. You were cheat, not I assume. And maybe that's what they want to. It's just for this Babcock. Like Babcock, what are we doing? It's crazy. Like Babcock. I'd rather like like I would rather and I saw a couple reports that like say the NHLP. They now have this is they now got to go do that. And keep in mind, I was saying that based on not knowing what this other investigation ended up finding. Like I, I genuinely nobody knows. Yeah, so I don't know what was found. So here's the thing. When he resigned, the NHLPA investigation was canceled because it's like, oh, well, they should have just done it then. They should have done it, even though he resigned to find out if this guy and whatever he did is now like done and like banned. You know what I mean? Because by not doing, and I don't really blame the PA because he resigned. So the PA is like, Oh, we got rid of the problem. He can go. They're like us. They didn't think he'd be coming back exactly exactly exactly. So Marty Walsh and Haynesy, they're like, yeah, well, this guy's done for a second. See you later. Yeah. And and now all of a sudden, I'm sure Haynesy and Marty Walsh are like, what the fuck? They got to go back. They get a they get us meet with all those guys on Columbus. What do you think those guys want to do? It's June 12th. They're just like training. Oh, we got to talk about that day. Bapcock took my phone and scroll through my pictures. But like I said, there's something else. So if this comes out that whatever else he did is too bad to allow him to coach in the league again, then the oilers, then what are they doing? Because they're not obviously they're not getting Cassidy. I also can't believe that they didn't just wait and say, Babs, we're going to hire you. And if we don't get Cassidy and then Vegas gives them the official null after the cup final. Okay, Babs, come on in. So if they, if they're not allowed to hire Babcock now, I saw some, I saw some Darryl Sutter stuff. Oh, God. I saw Darryl Sutter tweet. Well, Stoff told us, well, a month ago, it's going to be a guy who guy that's one one a cop. And I forget what word he used like gravitas. Gravitas. My new favorite word, cadence. I don't think Babcock ever coaches a game with the Edmonton Oilers. I agree with you. I just think it's going to keep snowballing here. And I think the ownership is finally going to realize, like, Hey, the juice is not worth the squeeze here. What a waste of time and energy to get to that point though. And the season, like this season could end in three days. And then Vegas is like, they're kind of obligated to, I mean, they're excused before was we don't have the time right now to figure this out. Well, you got the time now. So you can go Bruce Cassidy could go to Edmonton. So it's like, I don't at this point, at this point, they're saying, I don't, I don't think Vegas is letting Cassidy interview with the oil. I think, yeah, I think he's been out of division. Yeah. And now that this has happened, they're like, Oh, a division rival is a complete clown show over there, like, nope, sorry. Batman should be begging the Vegas Golden Knights to let Bruce Cassidy interview in Edmonton. I swear, I swear to God right now. The second rounder. If they can't get Cassidy and Babs is not allowed to coach. They don't know. I'm calling my, I'm calling Tarryan. If you need an ex is an old guy, if you need an adjustment guy, but he's demanding and he's an ex is an old wizard. And I'm trying to pick who else is they obviously want an old school hard-ass guy. Tarry Ryan Senior who else is out there best seriously. It seems like that did Edmonton even reach out to the league and to the PA to get this get because it seems like it just kind of hit the headlines in that it was just hit everybody over the head with the news. I don't know. They traded Stewart Center. He is a UFA for Charis contract if they just kept Skinner crazy. He's now off the books and they could offer big money for broad scares. I'm Thomas. Thomas shit. I've ever seen. It is a clock. It's that might be dumber than the Babcock thing. Imagine right now if they just had a bunch of if they were able to unload the nurse contract and then had a bunch of dough to get a goalie. By the way, a goalie that was on waivers might win the Stanley Cup in two nights. Why not Craig Barubi? Like why haven't they like Craig Barubi is a hard ass like he's not going to people's phones. I don't think he's the best X's and O's and like adjustment guy. I didn't see a lot of that in Toronto. It's like a well, I was going to say it wasn't a great year, but like Cassidy got fired and they wanted him. But I mean, that's not yeah, I don't know. I don't know. But the way that this all broke, it was incredible when that came. It was incredible when that news came. And I can't really think of any other coaches who could like just step into that situation who have any type of gravitas and cadence. Like I'm not even fucking around. I can't even think of any names outside of that. But Lavia, Lavia, Lavia would have been an option down the line. But now he's gone. He's in LA. So it's a wild, wild time. The league that the league they do not disappoint right now, this league. It just comes up with wackier and wilder story. Let's get Mike Babcock, who by the way, I think a month to go drag her to Tweety asked Babble about coaching goes, I love being retired. It's like, yeah, okay. And the oil. So now, okay, get Mike Babcock crazy stuff. Well, Torch, Torch could be a guy. He might be available for a momentum. That if they decide to not go with torts, that is for sure. Or they just offer him a way better deal. He's not even signed for next year. Yeah, but if he wins a cup, he'll be all happy right after they'll get him signed. I don't know, man. They win. They says five times five for torts at his age. He's probably thinking, Jing Jing. Well, in better news around the league, Coach did it, boys. One of the closest MVP votes ever, I believe. Was it? Did he beat McDavid by 100 points or 10 points? It was close. Real close. But Kucherov is the MVP, his second MVP trophy. G how many people have won the MVP two times or more? What's your guess? My guess is 10. No, not that many. Oh, man. We might be able to name 10 right now MVP, a guy who won multiple. So McDavid. Maybe Lemieux or David Kucherov, Bobby Orr. Um, did go. I'm guessing Gordy. How sure? Um, Maurice Rashard probably. Yeah, I bet you. I bet you. It's around 10. Oh, really. Give more than you think. Gila Flore. It's 20. Whoa, yeah, Gretzky Gordy. How Eddie Shore Bobby, Bobby Orr, Bobby Clark, Mario Lemieux, Alex O'Vetchkin, Connor McDavid. There's, there's a lot of guys here though. Rodsby. Yeah. Okay. Still pretty sick. Kucherov is doing his thing. And that run he went on this year is something that was to. Well, I think it was around 60 points and like 25, 28 games that run he went on. Um, incredible season by him. So that was pretty sweet. It was kind of crazy, though, that I saw Colorado having the season they had. They didn't get the MVP didn't get the North. The rock. They got the rocket. That's it. The Rashard. Yeah, he went over this today. I'm a kid and I'm getting that one, but I agree with you. I've led the league in a cisper game, points per game, even strength points per game. Third in goal differential, seventh among forwards in like percentage goal for the advanced that, um, an incredible season. So Kucherov always wants to get better too. That was the video. Yeah. I think Koop said and then he goes. He's just never ever satisfied. The sign of a true legend. He wants to do more. He wants to win it again next year. So, um, we talked about it when with the sandbagger that just dropped. I can't remember if it made it to the cup, but Ryan McDonough that was during Olympic break and Ryan McDonough was saying Kucherov was on the ice for two hours every day, skating by himself just out there working on his craft. So he's not one of those guys. You might look at him be like, Oh, everything just comes natural to this guy, but he puts in the hours, man, like that guy works his nuts off on the ice off the ice and to be a two time hard trophy winner is incredible to do. Yeah. Happy for him. Yeah. I mean, I would have been happy with either like every guy winning it. I feel like it was one of those years where just so many different players had exceptional years, but that point run you talked about and what he's able to do year and year out. Yeah, he's, uh, he's, uh, he's, uh, he's a legend. So Tampa God, Vassy won the Besner, right? Yep. Koop one coach of the year and then they got, wow, that's an incredible year for them. Yeah. Pretty good off here. The voting was interesting. Um, you guys obviously, you could pretty much name the top four, right? It was Kucherov, it was McDavid, it was McKinney, we knew that celebrity in an obvious fourth, the fifth place in MVP was Suzuki Suzuki. Oh, pasta was six. Well, Rensky seven. Cole Caulfield was eight, Raspberries, Dallin nine, Vassaleski was 10. So actually, Maurice Cider was 11th in MVP voting. It's pretty cool. Last thing, we just mentioned quick, Lavi Alec gets the LA job. This guy, I didn't have a job forever. I think he just, just gets hired. Like, for sure, a couple of years from LA, it gets hired, we'll, we hired that summer. So what? It's an endless family cop. Yeah, you just, you get a job forever. Yeah, just keep her side, but I'm never, he'll never coach the upstate stars at the chicklets cup. I can guarantee you that. Okay, fair. Right. Fair. He did, he did cut you after scoring a goal in exhibition and it's a bullshit on the plane, handing me the plane ticket on the plane. Talk about like, can I start a babcock thing about him? We're, we're going through a coaching search, too, with a guard Wales. Okay. So I think we should hire the guy who does the TV, the radio, the PR, that guy who's always on the Instagram hire him as the coach. We could do that. I agree. Just, but like, he still has to do all the other stuff, too. You're a jackable. Right. Can Cassidy coach another, another league, or is that still kind of like tampering? Well, he could coach in the NHL. It's just certain teams Vegas won't let him. Okay. All right, before we go. to RA's world. We're going to talk about Shell Quick. You hear it all the time in sports. You get out what you put in. If you're eating right, training right, doing all the little things, you're going to perform better. Everybody knows that. See Shell.us/more for more details. Let's throw it over to R.A.'s world who has perfected his jump shot. I don't know if you guys saw that. I stopped at a Shell gas station with R.A. a couple days ago, and all he was doing is come clean. Let's save it till he gets on, because he drives, he's a great driver, to bring on R.A. Hello everybody. Welcome to R.A.'s world here on spit and chick. Let's late night. I love it. I feel like David Letterman when we recorded this, our fun stuff. Great to see you boys this week at a fun time catching up. Great pizza yesterday at Dashi's K.Y. Good pick. You know what time I got home last night, and no I didn't stay gas in the biz. I didn't get home till 9 o'clock last night. The signal doesn't work in that bar. I couldn't get an Uber. I couldn't get a lift. I tried walking down the street. I had to call a taxi. I waited a half hour for. I didn't get home till 9 o'clock after the game time. Sorry to use that. I had a good cab driver, actually. That's the way to go with it. No, good to catch up. 9 o'clock's like two in the afternoon for you though. Through my whole cycle off with. I was complaining. Remember you at the gas station there? Well, of course, you knew the guy too. The one guy, the other customer, but you're complaining about the gas prices. I think every American that had that, and I don't even own a car, but I, you know, I, but I borrowed a car. He put gas at it. Yeah, I think anybody who's feeling the gas tank now is probably pretty pissed off when they look at the price and whatever the specific. You should get in the electric car. I'm not getting any guy. I don't know. He'd ban from the streets with. I know. We got a lot of calls. I think both our wives were not impressed with us. Rollerblading on Interstate 90. It was more dangerous drive around Boston with all right. Then Rollerblading will be dead in there. He doesn't. He's openly admitted. He doesn't believe in red lights in the city. Correct. Downtown. Sometimes optional. Yeah. Yeah, I don't know. There's like bike riders and like people walk it everywhere. But I mean, bro, bro, I know you made up the story about a baby gadget today. But I mean, I think I think I knew how much you shit you pants. I think I might have been maybe up on the troll facts a little behind the wheel. But I mean, you know, like I said, I've had one accident in my life. I wasn't found that fault. Well, you don't have a car. I did for several years, up until a few years ago. Where did you have? Oh, God. I'd 600 back on the day of Subaru hatchback, back on the day of the last cary. I had was a Toyota Camry, which was great. You had a Subaru hat back. Yeah. Yeah. I was in college. It was an experimental phase. I'm a sticker of this car, climb out Washington. Oh, for sure. No, it's actually my, my, my mother's. It was a, he had me down. And yeah, it's a terrific vehicle that I enjoyed it. But, uh, what's your favorite thing about it? The reliability. Honestly, I, and it was a stick shift. It was one of my cars. I bet many of you guys know how to drive a stick shift, right? I do. My dad's a truck driver, dude. So what the fuck's to have to do with you? My father fired me and that told me I'm gonna go put the fucking fire. Well, he had stick shift cars growing up. So that's all right. Oh, so you, so you learned on a stick shift? Okay. All right. But did you learn in a truck, though? Yeah. Yeah. Eighteen really. All of us did those both ways. Anyways, boys, tonight, I think the Russian is cut. This is the first game where we were watching Vegas. And they just, they didn't look nervous. They, but they just looked all, okay. And I think the first time maybe panic has set in, uh, maybe among that team, that fan base, maybe the team is a panic. But yeah, they just, they didn't have that, that pushback that we've seen so much from both teams this series. Uh, just want to absolutely give a shout out. It will cost us to be a man, you know, a guy who started off great in the career kind of bounced around a bit, but he's been playing terrific, clocky, particularly in this finals right now. Also, I love root for old dudes like that. I came and enjoyed Martin look, you know, two, three, three old guys have been humping for a long time. So it's, but particularly cost us to be the way he's been playing. And I, I don't know if you saw this, uh, Twitter relic clip, Elliot actually asked him if Thursday's, uh, afternoon press conference about, um, you know, making mistakes late in games and towards which we say and how he was watching the next game last night. Well, Wednesday night and basically, how mistakes happen and guys kind of freeze up far right side, Elliot. John, you watched the end of the basketball game last night. I did. Okay. So I just, you know, wanted to ask you about, like, what they've been watching our games. Oh, yeah. So they're your guys show support back, right? Well, I just, I mean, who would have, who would have thought I wanted to go to bed? Yeah, but when they got it down to 15, you knew something stupid was going to happen. I'm just basically saying the same stupid stuff's happening in our series. Well, that's kind of what I wanted to ask you is, like, there's the play at the end of the game where the spurs player goes in to take the layup, what he could take it back out and kill the clock. And I just wanted to ask you as a coach. In moments like that, you've got really smart players who really know hockey. Like they, in the, the excitement of the moment and force of them to make decisions that maybe they wouldn't normally make. Like, just when you watch that and you see that, what do you think is a coach? Yeah. And you watch that play where I forget the guy is the basketball player's name, but he's probably a very intelligent player. Yeah. I think the intensity and, and just the moment that's going on in the finals now. I mean, they're, they're human beings. It, it, it, it just overcomes you sometimes to do some stupid things. And, yeah, I don't have an answer. Who, who can explain some of the things that's going on in this series? One thing is a coach you look for as long as they care, as long as they're trying, that's all you can ask. And there'll be some crazy things that go along with it. Basically, he was saying like, as long as, as a coach, as long as you guys don't, you ask them to and give them the effort, then, you know, these guys are human beings. It's a, a much longer, like, a labyrinth of answer, but it's good stuff. It was just pretty good. Well, that's why he was so disgusted about game four is he's like, we gave them that stall call a complete pizza. I think it was Theodore. Jarvis gets the mini breakaway, save on that play. And then it goes to the corner. I three guys are standing around Jarvis. He wins the battle. Nobody just eliminates him, gets it to ealers who finds stall and, and I think towards that, that's what I can't handle that. Like, that's what, that makes me so mad. We gave them that. And it has been a theme that like a lot of Carolina goals, not necessarily tonight, but like throughout this series. Vegas is kind of just like. Yeah, brainfarts. Couple brainfarts. And you mentioned them at the MacNab penalty earlier. That was a shock. I mean, obviously credit to coming back from that injury, but it was right after the previous penalty and it ended up essentially being the difference of the game. Carolina got the 2-1 lead, which they never relinquished. You know, it's never, it's never the first game back coming back from that nose thing. It's always the games after that because you're able to ride on a adrenaline coming back from that to getting hit in the puck with the face or getting in the face of the puck. And it just feels like maybe energy-wise and like he's like a step behind right now. And yeah, as you talked about when you're playing with the cage, it kind of fucks you up peripherally a little bit. So that'll help like or hurt with your, your stick movement, your stick plays. And maybe just a little brainfart there as a result of it, too, against Blake. And as far as that Codd's Michael, I'd stall as now minus 120, minus up to plus 320, stancovin plus 650, all 7-1, deal is 16-1, and everybody else is way over 100 to 1. But murals, what's interesting, I wrote the, you know, the odds for the next game that when we started here, it's still a pick on minus 110. But the over and under went from six and a half down to five and a half, just in the last like half hours. Yeah, they heard my pick. I said 320t was my pick. What's your pick for Sunday? I think it's going to go seven. I think we haven't really seen a goal 10 about it. Although tonight's game did go under murals. Am I correct? Wasn't it six and a half? I didn't look at that. Wow, murals not like you. I believe six and a half to last by start. So first game to go wonder, I think we do feel like a real goalie battle. And I think Vegas sits a yuggle for two with an empty netta. That's what, that's what Whit had, right? Yeah. That's for two empty enter. By the way, Whit, how do you feel after now the videos out, we could talk about it. You dunk in that from the fairway. Oh, in the last time. That was awesome. Yeah, we were waiting for that to come out. I mean, just with Groot in there and like Maroon and McDonough running over and Groot. And they're competitive. But Groot. What do you say? You didn't come over and graduate because I got a new hip man. Make it over there, man. But Groot is the fucking best. Oh, he's the best. He's so funny. He's such a good guy. He's funny. Great story, great storyteller. A million stories. Just his voice. Everything about him. I love that guy. And then he's, I think after that was the par three, Keith stuck it. We won that hole. And then the next hole is when he gave us the Brett Farve story. So that was a great, that was a great bag of a puttin. Yeah. Keith hit an eight iron. I'm one iron. I'm all if Keith it's an eight, I hit a seven. Keep it to six, I hit a five and he did eight. And I think it was just, it was there, but like maybe a little short. No question seven iron, right? Right when I hit it, we knew it was good, but that was, that was incredible. The fact that it went in. - What a unbelievable, that was one of those moments. - And it's amazing. - I'm sorry. - Like Bertha, right now, a lot of the comments, like, "Holy fuck, it wasn't a hole in one. It wasn't an album." - Oh, shut the fuck up. - He's fucking losers online, man. - I don't know what they're buddies against Grootin' and two awesome friends of ours who were Stanley Cup champs. And we hold a shot for an eagle. We think we're gonna fuck it. Sit there and just give a couple knocks pinkies up. No, we're gonna go bananas. To be wet bananas. - Where'd you read that? Some asshole on Twitter? - A couple people wrote me, like, "Oh fuck, you ever been on a golf course?" It's like, "I don't know, buddy. If you ever hit a shot from 160 yards uphill." - Probably not. - With a seven iron that went directly into the hole. I don't know. Sorry, I celebrated too hard. Sorry for having a good time. Sorry for enjoying my job and my friends and my life, miserable friends. I will say there was very funny comments of, like, this is AI, there's zero chances happened. These guys edited it. I did like those comments. - Just like the squirrel mulling my face. - I know, it's funny. - What do you think, Gens? - No, I was gonna say it before you gave that rundown. I was gonna say, I wish I could have bottled that excitement that we had, 'cause I mean, you don't get that too much excited anymore in life, like to bottle that and have it. And I didn't even make the shot just to be on the egg for it. It was like, "We made the shot." - We made the shot. What'd you say, all right? - I gave you a bottle of that stuff, Keith and all right. - Oh, we know. All right, I don't want to cut you off. I don't want to end your story, your brothers, who weren't done with it. What was that? I didn't want something, was that? What shot was that? 'Cause someone did ask me if it was a hole in one, and I believe it was-- - What was the yardage to there, Wade? - No, I'm not being a dick. I didn't want to say that. - No, he hit one from the fairway, dunked one, eagle. - I just said, wasn't a hole in one, or was it-- - I know, and I just acknowledged. I know it wasn't a hole in one. Some of us asked me, I didn't. I didn't think it was a second shot. I think it was the 13th. - Okay, so it wasn't a hole in one. - No, it wasn't a hole in one, it wasn't a very-- - A second shot on a par for a bird. Either way, the shot was wildly impressive. People are coming up to me and saying how good it was. - A lot of way with-- - McCarthy, like-- - Fuck those idiots online, haters. - Let me preface this next point with, okay, every single fan base for every team in the planet has dickhead fans, asshole fans, idiot fans, no doubt about it. But what we're seeing out of the fucking New York next fan during this finals is-- - Wow. - That's what she's broke. Dude, they're soccer and dudes ripping their clothes off. They fucking try to light a guy's hair on fire, and then, like, after they won my name, actually, you're co-opin' the backfire? - Yeah, right, atomic power. - They're saving me 50 bucks on it, yeah, okay. (laughing) But, like, look, I know the exuberance is celebrating. They've had a lead-all series. The other day, the last day, dude, threw a fucking traffic on the end. Now, minimum of seven pounds, 30 feet down. Gashed a guy. He probably had to get fucking staples in his head. He's, you know, leaving a game. I've just seen more behavior, look, I know New York's giant, there's a ziggins of people there, but the collective amount of asshole behavior, like, by this fan base, or, first, you know, ostensibly this fan base, I know, it's brutal, and I don't clean it the fuck out yet. - Hopin' behind you. - Somebody threw something at Wembee, going into the whole-- - They threw an egg at his head. - No. - I agree, it's like, remember, we saw the video of the guy getting suckered in the subway, the guy with the Rangers, Jersey on, suckering some other fan. It's just, they're at a different level, and like, yeah, it's like funny when you crowd the streets, and they got people rapping and whatever doing, like, silly stuff. But when you're trying to light people's hair on fire, and you're ripping their clothes off, and suckering 'em, it's just like, what is this? - It's 25 years of living with zero fucking consequences. That's what I think a lot has to do with it, because I know he's sounding like a fucking grandpa. - No, no, I heard you. - I don't know, it's just, it's just barbaric sometimes. I mean, these people, they had to hang out, and again, your team won. I mean, if they do it out of anger, it's not excusable, it's still fucking vile, but, I don't know, mixed fans clean up the hell up. - And the next team, from what I've seen, they're kind of a likable team. - Very likable. - Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. - But they're fans. - Yeah, it's crazy. - Memes has a great take. The next of the Toronto Maple Leafs is the NBA, and he believes they're gonna blow this three-to-one lead. - Oh, she's melting. - Yes. - It's like, it's like the kind of heart. - I don't even, I know in the NBA, there's never been a three-o comeback. Has there even been a three-one? - I think once. - I think it didn't, it didn't even go to Golden State. - Yeah, the little, LeBron Blockia. - Yeah, and E. Guadalu, yeah. - Oh, really? - Yeah. - That's 'cause, what's his name got suspended? - If you had his first jersey on, and they somehow blow this series, like, there could be like a murder on our hands. I'm not even choking either. - It's the only city I've gone to where, like, friends who live in that city told me, whatever you do, don't wear any, like, it was the Red Sox game, seven versus the Yankees, you know, for example, he's like, do not have any like Boston stuff on it all. I mean, I was going to the game by myself as well. I did have socks on, but you couldn't see it. Be home on my ankle. But that's literally the only city I've been warned to not wear gear. And so, yeah, foolish behavior. Classic recommendation this week, in honor of Steven Spielberg, returns to the screen with sci-fi. Go watch Minority Report from 2002, Tom Cruise, Colin Farrell, awesome movie. It's a bite-based, he's sat in the future about police who sort of predict crimes. And, you know, how the problems that can come from it. It's an awesome futuristic thriller. Can't recommend it up. Give that a look, see, I'm going to see, what's it, distribution day, disturbance day. I'm going to tonight. Talk disclosure day. And we got some good shit coming up here on Netflix. All right, a Saturday song sung blue. It's with Hugh Jackman in Kate Hudson. She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress this year. It's based on a true story about a guy who had, he was like a Neil Diamond cover being guy. And, you know, he meets Kate Hudson. And it's honestly, I walked out like, like, I didn't felt so much emotion at the end of a while. It is based on a true story, tremendous acting. I feel like Neil Diamond, you'll 1,000% love this movie. Even if you don't, it's just got a great human element, human story at a top. So that's going to be hit in Netflix. Saturday definitely give that a whirl. That Raffa documentary about Raffa on the dial. I haven't watched it. That's on my list for this weekend. It's a full rep. It's a so docu series looks phenomenal about one of the greatest tennis players of all time. And also, if you haven't seen Blackberry, come out a couple of years ago. Sorry, now my pal, Jay Barrishelle and Glenn Howatton. You would think a movie about the invention of a, you know, the first smartphone, the Blackberry. It would sound boring. It's awesome. Dynamite Flip, they made it up in Canada, went a bunch of awards up there. Barrishelle, he plays kind of like goofy character. He locked in on this one, played a great dramatic role. If you're looking for some things to watch, give those words. Is the scene in the movie of that guy exploding on the board of governors and Gary Batman? Is that, like, did that happen? I don't know. I took liberties with that or not. It's a great movie. Yeah, oh, you saw it, you saw it. Yeah, it is good. Again, for the topic sounds boring, but the movie is anything but give that world. And also the World Cup started, well, yesterday, Thursday here in the States. And Scotland, they're playing their local games here in Foxbro. I saw a bunch of kilts after I left you guys, Tuesday night. Don't worry, Tom, I'm everywhere. And they were million at the airport today. They were getting tossed. They were getting tossed out of buzz already before the thing even started. And another guy, one of the suburbs he posted a clip, I guess they rented a house across the street. They were about six through this morning, playing the bagpipes in the kilts and stuff. Like, so it is a great story to out in Lawrenceville, Kansas. Now, you know, this hasn't been a traditional World Cup. Not every team is playing, staying in the country. Some countries have to play the game and then go back to the country that's staying in. But in the Lawrenceville, Kansas team Algeria is there. And Lawrenceville, Kansas has embraced this team with open arms. They've sort of adopted them. There's a lot of great clips online. And guys like, I don't even know where this place is on a map. But I'm going to be back on these people. They've been having all kinds of stuff with the community. And I think it's great. It's showing what, you know, what our country is about and how good a host we can be. And so shout out to Lawrenceville, Kansas, so what they've been doing with team Algeria. It's been a great little story. And yeah, I'm looking forward to watching a lot of footy in the next couple in Canada plays today. 3 p.m., I believe. Actually, what a way was that hurricane. They were at game five. Halon team. Yeah, Halon was there. Yeah, he was there. He had a cane so he was there. I knew that. And I bet you they were like, this is fucking sick. 100%. The crowd for that game was what a first game to go to for those guys. But I'm very excited. I love the World Cup. I love it. And now every day from month, we have two games on. Yeah. So great. Yeah, US power away tonight. And now Scotland's playing Haiti down for actually. I don't get why every US games on the West Coast. It's kind of surprising to me that there's no East Coast. They play in LA, Seattle, and San Francisco. So they don't ever come east. You got to think TV might have something to do with it. Usually Tuesday runs the show on that stuff. But either way, I'll be doing it. Should be good stuff for anything else. But when you are out of my fine city here, taking off tomorrow. I leave tomorrow, boys. It's been a hell of a season. I know we got a couple games left here. And then the draft and free agency. But oh my god, the hockey's been incredible. They're making the boys on the ice for making our job easy. And it was great to hang out with you, boys. I love doing this podcast from the guys on the show, from me, Ian's, Witt, and R.A. And Merne, Armdog, and G as well. Like we got to thank all the people behind the scenes for making this thing run. So fishy. All the boys, Luki, AKA Nikki. Bernadette. Bernadette had his first full year with us. He's been such a huge hell, posh, obviously, who helps film the barriers. And then, and then big man, yeah, Josh. So, so, shout out to the boys. The answer is, yeah. He hates when I give everybody the worst dress up the rest of in a full-on white master's caddy bib. I don't even know if he touched the flag. He's saying he was he was officially the cart girl like to drink cart girl, no, he was as a caddy girl the whole round. I actually went golfing with memes one time and we played McCormick Ranch in Scottsdale. Oh, wow. Yeah. He showed up in in cowboy boots and the guy came up to me and was like, Hey man, he had like a cowboy boots cowboy hat on wife beater and they were like, Hey, just got to shoot you straight. You got to buy gear for this guy. If you want to bring him on. So we had to buy him new shoes, shirts, shorts, the whole year. He whips out like some Joe for shin pad. They love them down the club the other day. We meet girls. Yeah, snakes, snakes, skins, cleats on. Yeah. Showed the infamous club, but they love them. They were trying to get in the state, but we had to drag them back to work. So what a crew. We got boys. I love you. It's going to be another great bagger. And we just had this one drop. We have the Bob does one probably coming out in the what the next two, three weeks as well because we're going to have to get those two off our chest as well. So love you boys. Great pod and Mag God canes have a chance to close out on Sunday. We'll be in the building this 20 years later. God the bot is Captain, Rod the bot is coach, water story, Vegas. No quit there though. Thank you, everyone. We will see you Monday morning, 11 a.m. live. And I don't know if it don't live, it's going to happen, it's going to happen again. [Music]
