Spittin’ Chiclets Episode 652

The podcast blends automotive promotions with an in-depth analysis of a thrilling Stanley Cup Final between the Vegas Golden Knights and Carolina Hurricanes. It highlights the Equinox and Silverado as robust, feature-rich vehicles ideal for everyday use and adventure, while focusing on the hockey narrative. Key moments include a major injury to Vegas’ McNabb, a crucial goal by Stankovitch that altered the game's flow, and a disputed goalie interference call that fueled controversy. The analysis underscores how Carolina’s resilience and tactical adjustments, especially in high-pressure situations, kept the series competitive despite early deficits. The show emphasizes the emotional and strategic intensity of the match, noting how player performances—like Stankovitch’s goal and Freddie Anderson’s saves—proved pivotal. It also reflects on the growing popularity of hockey, citing record-breaking viewership and engagement, attributing this to heightened excitement and compelling storylines. The discussion concludes with a sense of awe at the evolving nature of the sport, where underdog resilience and dramatic play elevate the experience, and questions whether the series will culminate in a historic comeback or a decisive victory for Vegas.

Let me just rant for a quick second. I hated the entire world towards the end of the second period all I wanted was a good cup final like I don't like Vegas I don't want Vegas to win I respect the hell out of Vegas I I can admit the team is absolutely incredible but they were ruining the cup final they were they were making the Carolina hurricanes at times look like the way the hurricanes made the Canadians look and we're going into game two they're up to nothing how are they going to blow a two nothing lead you can't even get a fucking shot on goal and now it's tied up but we could be heading towards a masterpiece of a final but who now also quickly sorry I put out on Twitter I said did we just witness the greatest games one and two of a Stanley Cup final and I got to admit a little embarrassed last year if you remember last year Edmonton's down through one game one they end up winning and then Marchon scores after Perry ties it up make it a more than a last two years games one and two hockey is on a heater. Biz go ahead sorry. Oh don't be sorry at all buddy I mean like look at look at the viewership I mean it's the fact that it's doing this again and like we talk about Carolina maybe sometimes being a low scoring team will all of a sudden they got eight goals through the first two games so it's high flying offense we got the flip plays on both sides of the ice going down Carolina's fucking power play the dog should power play finally came alive and like you said with I'm just happy that we're watching amazing hockey right now there was a little bit of there was a little bit of nonsense online like who's going to be watching this final Carolina versus Vegas who cares who cares you got some of the best story lines in the NHL going right now you got Mitch Marner going for a cons mic and a Stanley Cup is first year removed from being a Toronto Maple leaf and we got a he ends he's itchy for Mitchy you know who's not itchy right now who's got the better drone a system bloody is bloody who's now went dead silent on the group chat him going silent is so bush league like it own it buddy just come out and say we're on the game three but you can't go silent and I know he's watching I'm looking at you you red headed blunt man I love you to death but you need to say something wow I mean speak he speaks all the time when my team loses I know but to his defense so there was two days in a row where there was no hockey talk on wake up bar stool is that really true that's that's true and bloody went off on it and now bloody is going to be on it tomorrow morning and I'm actually waking up at 5 a.m. here to go on tomorrow but let's get talking about game two before we go back to game one obviously a few pivotal moments in this game that ended up getting Carolina back in it McNabb taking a puck to the face boys that is a significant significant loss for the Vegas gold Knights will not only did last game to the F3 apples this is one of the NHL's premier shot blockers this is an original misfit this is a guy who does not allow you to get to the house area in front of his own goalie where maybe Stan Colvin coming on that wrap around I don't know if he gets to where he got to if he's the net front guy there so he helps out there penalty kill drastically in which he wasn't around for we're finally the levy broke for Vegas where they allow two power play goals one of the third and one and over time so that is a significant significant loss so all of a sudden they weren't playing how do I pronounce the last name coflin coglin coglin excuse me he wasn't playing a lot when when may now went down so basically you're down to 4d and then he ends you kind of mentioned it looked like hand of thing was fighting it a little bit maybe he's battling injury as well if that's the case all of a sudden little bit of depletion on this unbelievable Vegas back in which as we I said before the levy broke a little bit like they were able to come back in this game I believe because of those reasons and the fact that they were a little limited on the back end. Yes, especially the way that Carolina plays like to have 4d you can't survive it like nevermind going into an overtime game when I think I think Noah it was Noah was playing getting double shifted he was out there for like two minutes before they scored and then he's right back out there so there's no time to rest for these guys it's tough tough break for McNabb you hate seeing that especially with that dentist and Carolina that told me that I was going to have to go behind the shed when I lost all my teeth but yeah honestly that's a game though. No, no, I end up coming back. I'll be shocked if that guy's not in game three. Oh, he's playing that guy's like the biggest warrior ever. Because let's not forget I mean the fact he stood up and you see a guy that tough he skates right to the door in the corner I'm like oh no and then Emily Kaplan said he wasn't even in the building anymore I don't think so that's the only worry if the jaws completely fractured maybe you can't but if anyone can it's that animal and and just the fact that he was able to get up from that I was shocked but right away right away I said this is going to change things way more than people think I think no offense to the the the layman hockey fan or but it's like oh you know a big shop block of defense but I watch Vegas enough this guy just each minutes and I was the one who texted is los on I think maybe you know McNabb bigger he might get over there a little bit quicker on the stank first one now who knows if if he's out there and I know it's kind of I'm armchair quarter back in whatever the body that you could tell something there there was a glitch in the force as that game went on and they were basically playing 4d like even 5d against that Carolina team you're having to switch parings all the time yeah and like you're not used to the guy yeah you're not used to the tendencies the where the guy is going to be when you know he's going to move if you're playing with the different guy especially every other shift it's brutal and on that like the way Carter heart was kicking you knew it was going to have to be something fluke that went in like the stankhoven goal looked like it banked off someone then hit his knob and went in and then you know how it is as a goal score you see one go in then your whole team gets going then the crowds into it and you knew something was going to happen and man that last 10 minutes of hockey was legitimately crack hockey as you saw it he so let you want to rewind it and talk about how did before we get to the barbachev play or should we go right to the barbachev goalie interference slash Messier won the kill Dave Jackson and mess also mess was I don't even know if mess knew what plan and he was on he's like what are you talking about and it's like and oh let's go let's go chronologically, though, and started at the beginning when we get there, we could discuss that because to not show it all, Brad Hauden. And I, after the second one, I said, I think you just won the cons might R a tweeted out. I'm sure I, it's all right coming on later. You're going to have a little bit. And this is R a's time by the way. This is when R a usually wakes up from a nap. Like, no, I'll wake up a fright before the game. So this is the hours. Like, where is Austin? He had to have an early dinner. He's not the only thing though. You might get a grumpy R a cause this is his prime movie time consumption. This is where he has to go out the part to lined up for the 4,000 time, usually at midnight. But he actually said on, on Tuesday's show, a Monday show, excuse me, mix in a Hauden cons might bet he was a hundred to one, I think he said, he said after the second goal, he was two to one. He goes, I think his tweets have never seen odds change like that. He's a hundred to one. And it was two to one after making. Yeah, he's two to one right now. Two to one. So, and he said if he scores four or five goals in the finals, like, and all right, shout a couple clicks. So he, he set the record for Vegas gold mites away goals in a playoff run. He's got 10 on the road right now. Yeah. He's also the seventh player in NHL history to surpass his regular season goal total in the ensuing post season. scored more goals in the post season than the regular. Yeah, but that's not hard because there's probably guys in there who scored like four in the regular. It's the only one with 12 minimum 10 goals. It's a minimum 10 goals. Okay. Okay. All right. Okay. I thought I've read he was the only one with 12 or more goals to get more in the playoffs. I either way, what we're witnessing, these aren't like, these aren't like shit goals. The whole body, they're their unread individual efforts. The most shocking thing, the most shocking thing about that stat is that he didn't have 40 goals this year. Like, he looks like a guy that's getting 40 every year. The way he's playing, I do not understand how he only had. Now, the first one, guys, I got a screenshot that came across the wire. He's holding. Did he rip Walker's stick out of his hand? Yeah, he gave her the he gave her the he gave her the Heisman and maybe got a piece of it, but fucking playoff. How many times a game does that happen? Yeah, where you're actually holding the guy's stick. Okay. But the second one, Kane's fans were boasting on both. The second one, you grab a guy's stick driving that like that, that's hockey. That's a power forward. You're going to get your hand into that defender's stick. Well, by the way, that was Jacob Slaven on the second one. And then he tuxed it around Anderson. And on the first one, though, when you're not driving the net in your middle of the ice and you just kind of grab it and you're holding it, but he was sneaky with it. It was, it was, it was slide. It was smooth. It was smart. Triple S showed up me. And I was, I was like, this kid, I don't get how he was, I didn't even know he was drafted by Tampa. And then the Rangers had him, they traded them. I'm like, let's have their class. So, so I don't know if you guys saw the mic'd up on the bench where torts were at the beginning of the game. He was like too much east west. He's like, let's get it going north. Let's get it going north. And they were mentioning how much howden and and mariner since playing together. They liked that give and go and where mariner got it. He knows exactly where howden's going. He's forcing it down ice. He said they like to play up with their pressure. So their demand are always man on man. So if all of a sudden you can just start bolting. You might get that quick stride on them. So you create that one on one mariner. I don't know if there's a better guy in the league at doing those like flip flopples in the in the neutral zone, those lob passes. That thing sat perfectly. Like it hit the gap and just died where he put it with a little bit of English on it. So credit him with that beautiful apple. And once again, howden individual effort, just like the second goal where he ends. I think it was you texted a group chat. The sees parted slave and was taking a nap back door on the wide side there. What the fuck's he doing? Yeah, I'm not sure. He had a couple plays and I don't know. I mean, obviously everyone's banged up right now, but he doesn't look exactly himself through two games of this series, which when if he's not out his best, they have zero chance of winning this this series. But yeah, I don't know. Something seemed a little off. You've been the one that got called back on barbershop. He was like swimming around like I don't know what he was doing there. But uh, yeah, man, howden is the sneaky, sneaky player. And it just one of those guys and we've talked about it. Like guys like like a guy like barbershop. It's like, who cares what he does during the regular season. He's going to show up when the game's matter. And he's putting the team on his back. But there's more of a me easy. I get him like, you know, going through maybe hot hot spells, cold droughts, whatever it may be through like a season. How and so fast that you're right. Yeah, he's a 30 goal guy in the NHL. And I see him right now. I'm like, all right, yeah, standard 25, 30 goals. Boy, he's, he's kind of with Mitch Marta. I know it. But he's fine with marks. But biz, here's a great point. You just made about the pressure with Carolina. A D is always pinching down the wall constantly. They'll go, they'll be pucks around the wall. We're oftentimes, you'll see teams the forward goes to get it forwards. Don't even attempt it knowing the D's coming down. Other teams fan bases that have played them. I think they've been screaming send a guy send a guy. And obviously Vegas has kind of figured this out. And boom, how long's gone. And that was the exact way to beat their pressure that first goal. It was like, just high flip, create a one on one battle. And you never know what happens. I'll grab a guy's stick. The ref won't see it. I'll get a breakaway. And I'll get my 12th. That was just out. That tightest record season total. Lou, did we know it'd get another one? So, I mean, so basically 50 minutes through this game, I was having the same feelings as you guys. I'm like, this is going to be a sweep of the series. Kane's power play was shit. Yeah, they, they started out great in both games. Like, I thought this game, they started out great. Yeah, they had the shot volume going. I think Vegas might have had what two shots in the first period. They had nothing, nothing really going towards the net other than that great A that how didn't created. And then all of a sudden second period. And then halfway through the third, you're like, they got the anaconda chokehold. They got nothing going. But finally, that second line that we've seen come the life so many times throughout this playoff run, stan coven rounds that net and gets that lucky bounce. And then boom, it really felt at that point, the whole game shifted right there. Big time. Now, the question is, and you saw torts over with Anderson on the bench after the stan coven call. He was not happy. Why not go strong side? And I don't blame him because he, they win the draw. It's exactly what you need. And I would love to know like that's when you do anything for full mic top ability or, you know, you know, I can read lips. What do you need to know? I want to know why Anderson didn't put it up the wall of three wheeled the net. He was obviously saying something like I didn't see somebody. No, he said what he said to him. He says, you want a fucking contract extension with the Vegas gold night? You put that up the strong fucking side or off pinky in the brain down here. Train your ass in no time. Other week side, week side, week side. He went back to the strong side. Well, sorry, but yeah, but he was holding the puck and he's skated to to now what was the strong side, right? Like, like make the play up the strong side. He's he brought the puck to the strong side. Now go. He's now the him turning back is going back towards the week side now, no? But does that have anything to do with them being depleted on the back end and his oxygen and his brain like you say is just shut off. And yeah, like when you're playing more minutes and playing harder minutes, like playing that much and getting out there every other shift against that team is a nightmare. Yeah. But after Stan Coleman with just an incredible effort as Army said, right in the chat, it's a WHO effort. I think he considered the Michigan. 100%. I think he was going to do the Michigan. And then he couldn't really settle on my and I was like, oh my god. And then he did. It was a little bit of a lucky bounce, but even attempting the Michigan there, I'm like, what fucking league am I? I'm playing this league. I am playing this league. I think Svetch did it against Montreal in the in the third round, right? He tried it too. He had a lot more success at getting it up and almost trying it. But do we can we show like a screenshot of him trying that in this game tonight? It's kind of it might just it might just be like video. You have it's like a one second clip, which we can't show. All right. Of him. It just looks like he's trying to pick it up, but just amazing. And then and then biz the high flip on the other end. The flip creates flip fits. That's that's the new saying. These these high flips create fits. Think of Pittsburgh. When Pittsburgh was winning their cops like that's all they did. They did that over and over Florida. Does that a ton with X blads really good at it. Uh, meekle is really good at like these guys, especially against Carolina when they're coming down when you're trying to go out. If you can high flip it and beat guys to races and what you know how it is as a demon. If you're backpedal in the past coming up, it's a panic. A guy's usually coming at you 100 miles an hour. You're backing up trying to find it. The lighting's different. It's a nightmare of a play. And obviously you have to be good at it. Cause if you're going to be icing the puck all the time, you're going to hurt yourself. But if you can do that, put it in a good spot in the neutral zone somewhere. You're going to get opportunities. Huge huge huge conversion by Jen Kowski going top titty there on heart. All of a sudden it's a tie game. Now we got to get to mess first Jackson. That was a rowdy. I think that Vegas got hosed here. You tended to disagree with me on the group chat. Have you changed your mind with then I saw and I don't know how I didn't see. Okay, throughout the throughout the replay being shown. I was kind of busy on the internet. I'm treating and I'm I'm like, this is the dumbest challenge of all time. I'm like, but that's the buchi tweet. That's the picture. It was never frozen for one second. Like it was still live basically in this area here and when barbash have made contact, there was no sign of them freezing it there. And they didn't call it. They didn't call it a no goal. They called it the interference. And that's why mess was pissed off. Like if that's free and loose and you can see it, you're allowed to poke at that. Yes, there was no no interference there whatsoever. I think this is a botch call. So you're saying that now I'm on your side. So I'm saying the same thing that goes to the league that goes up top. How do they how do they get that one wrong? Because I think it goes. They're saying it. I think it goes back to the referee on the ice who when he lost contact of it. Okay, it's in it. So keep in mind, look at how he is right now. The ref can't see that. Which is fair to him. Okay, bring that picture back up, please. So when when barbership comes around the net, he tries to stuff it and the puck still moving around. Like at no point was it frozen and it wasn't like it was like it was in there for a long time either. It came back out and then he hits it again and then it goes to that area and as it's loose, he pokes at it. It's all happening in one motion. So for them to say to him to say, okay, he lost contact of it. And therefore, even though the whistle wasn't blown at that time, his intent was to blow it. Not in the right position. It's a clear blown to early. There's no goalie interference, whatsoever. But he thinks because it is frozen and that his stick goes underneath and pokes at it, that that is the goalie interference. But I guess the people up top and Toronto can't change that ref's opinion on the fact that he wanted it blown when he wanted it blown. And that was communicated. Therefore, they can't overturn it. But I believe that Vegas got hosed and that should have been the go ahead goal three, two at that point in time. Yeah. I agree with you. It's a ballsy review. It's a ballsy challenge. So the only reason they challenged that is because of how bad Caroline is pp is banned. And they're like, oh, fuck it. It's a great challenge. Again, boom, they wake up. So agree. So that's the other thing too. I can't blame torts for that challenge. If I would have seen the angles that that we're playing on the TV of like when barbershave and keep in mind, he's making hockey plays and that puck is never in there for like any type of extended period of time. He waxed at the try to score. It pops back out. He waxed it again. It's sitting there. He gets it and it's in the net. There's never any type of dead time. So torts is like, okay, well, they're going to go upstairs and use their common sense. And this is going to come back a goal. So and like you guys said, the fact that the pp's been dog shit. I don't know if that's in the back of his mind as to why he wants to be aggressive. Oh, calling that has to be like, I'm more like that moment. You think you think that has to be has to be. I'm not going to do it. I'm going to do it. Edmonton's power play. You're not challenging that. Yeah. No, Jim. There you go. Game. Do you go to court's post game? I challenge at 10 out of 10 times. And I agree. And I kind of disagree with you that I don't think that the Caroline is power play being dog shit mattered. I think that he watched that and all the people on their side were common sensing it. Like, that's a fucking goal. And it should have been okay. But and let me ask you this. No matter what's going on with golden tender interference, once the ref decides to blow the whistle. And we all know that if he doesn't even blow the whistle before it goes in just the fact of him attempting to that to whistle blown, right? So wouldn't it have never come back anyways because he blew the whistle. Do you understand what I'm saying? Like that. Yes. I agree with because usually the ref will come over and tell you why they're they're calling it no goal. It's over. Yeah. I blew it dead. Or if I'm wondering if he told him the reason why it's no goals because it's goal tender interference, then he has even more of a right to even want to challenge it because he's looking at this photo. Freddie Anderson was swimming that entire sequence of play. Like he came out quick, fell back. He's thrown over. Great first. Great first one on the wrap around. Yeah. Yeah. So you're saying if the ref I don't I don't remember this in real time. You're saying there's a chance the ref goes over and saying the reason we're calling it not a goal is because of goal interference. And then they watch that and they're like, there's no goal interference there. So let's challenge it. And then in fact, it was more about when he wanted to blow it that played a factor. That's why I thought it was never coming back at least because I'm like, oh, he blew it dead. He blew it dead no matter what. So that's why I was like, why is there a challenge to place dead? So I'm I'd love to know if if gee, keep watching the post. We need refs. We need refs doing pressors after the parallels. Full quote. There is I saw a Twitter element what made him challenge. I saw loose pocket fun or Freddie, our player stabbed at it, didn't move the goalie and it goes through and went to the other side. I challenged that 10 out of 10 times. That's the way I saw it boys. And if and if it kind of it kind of goes back to when oilers got their season host with while they didn't get host, it was over the line. But how the ref in the corner was like, uh, uh, uh, and then his initial call was a goal. So that initial call probably was a reason why even though you couldn't see the pocket cross the goal line as to why they ended up calling it a goal, right? Yeah. Now throw the throw the still up there again. So I just want to mention something. If you can fishy or gee, whoever's doing it. All right. Maybe this is impossible because barbershave had just come around the post on the bottom of the screen for the wrap around. I think though most elite refs are already standing on the back of the net there. Oh, that's that's that's tight. That's if you can get there that's why because because he had just wrapped it around. But but if you if you could widen out that picture, which I know we can't he's further away from the net than he should be. Maybe he couldn't have gone on top when they're looking over over the crossbar. But he if you watch, he's not like right there. It was also a broken play could slave and fucking eight shit, right? Yeah. Well, no matter what the fact is that ice, I we on the group chat, it's been this power play, they're not going to win the Stanley Cup, but you can't win the cup with all my main reason and all of a sudden. And I didn't even know this aspect. Talk about not paying attention. So Stahl just goes out for the face off. And then after if it clears, he's off. Yeah. He stays out there because they had possession and he won a beautiful tip. Enough to the point where when they took him off before the OT winner, I'm like, how the fuck is he coming off at this point? You gotta leave him out there. He already got the lead with one of these things. But once again, I was wrong because they got it done anyways. But man, what an incredible play to get body position and just a straight up caveman celebration, kind of a little running man on the feet of places going bananas. And I'm like, they're going to fucking do this. And wait, if that if if it's in the second period or yeah, just in the second period, he'll still change, but because it's the far change and he's in front of the net, even if they have possession, sometimes he'll go off while they have possession. Okay. Which is because it was such a far way to the bench that he didn't go. It's like, might as well stay in on it, right? Yeah, 100%. And like his job is net front. He's obviously did what he does. And yeah, unbelievable tip. And the, did you see gossess bear to his celebration going in? He knew he tip there was amazing. So he's been awesome. He had to he had to be their theater this series as far as providing that offense, walking the line, dipping and diving, making plays. Their power play was shit because they kept looking for the perfect play, the perfect play, the perfect play going through seams. Yeah, they've they've they've just thread the needle a few times, but he just finds a lane and he fucking just zips it through a sifter and ends up getting tipped by stall. That's what you need. And all of a sudden after that, then things started opening up a little bit more, especially as they got that next power play. So to me, simplification, especially if you're Carolina with how good Vegas is penalty kills been all playoffs. I think they have fucking just as many goals scored on their pk as they have, have allowed on other teams power play. So maybe, maybe, maybe now they're minus one considering the goal today, or the two today, excuse me, but just a remarkable execution at a time well needed. But if there's one thing we know, the cardiac kids, the comeback kids, whatever the fuck you want to call them from the regular season to the playoffs, they don't die. And they will score like you saw against Utah, six on five, if they have to, they are never dead and they are never out of it. What a fucking goal, what a play by Mariner to get it through and a huge, huge goal in front of the net. You guys have it. They look more confident when they're down a goal. Like there's zero panic to their game. They'd not forcing down. It's like you can tell when a team gets nervous when they're up a goal and fighting it, trying to score. They are just so calm. Like they're just holding on to pox making plays. And And yeah man, like Mark Stone, like, that's a lucky bounce, right? It goes, it hits two different people, but he's there like that's why his hockey IQ is so high. He's in a spot where he knows like he feels that pocket maybe hit him in the ass and just turns around, wax it in and boom, get to a huge goal. So yeah, it's a remarkable how confident they look when they're down to goals. Like if you're up a goal against them or two, you can never be comfortable. And that's a tough way to play. So was it you who mentioned it in the chat or maybe it was yeah. And so at that point in time on the face off, they were a shorthand. They were still killing. So it was six on four. So I think they had it was stone on the wall against chat field. So even though they win that draw, the reason they can't get the clear is stones all over them. So chat field tries to pound it around the weak side. And I think it only gets to Blake, like just past the goal line on the other side and boom, it's alive. You weren't happy with the way that Jackson Blake played Mariner on it. Yeah, but I'm like really nitpicking. But if you watch, Blake comes flying out of the zone as Mariner's like bringing it up to the top of the circle. At that point, all right. So it's six on four. You're making it six on five. I think you're just running at him. Like you could you could body him. You could get your stick there. What he does is he kind of peels off. And if you watch when the goal scored, he's kind of standing in no man's land covering air. Like I want I'm more curious if Brindamore saying in video tomorrow, like, Hey, I hear you just run at him at this point because nobody's around them. You know, with the patience of Mariner, like he's going to find the lane. The other crazy part of that is when we all played, maybe keep towards the end of your career, you noticed obviously it changed. It was like, you never really left the forward behind you alone. It was about tying him up. And now you're fronting guys. Okay. We're fronting it, especially knowing Mariner's at the top. He doesn't have the big bond. He just sips him through. So that goes your house. You get it. And when you don't get it, all of a sudden stones behind you. Now, Anderson makes the save. It, of course, it bounces off of stones leg. And then at some point, was it said that Slaven tip that it looks more like when stone whacked at it. I think that they said there was a different angle on sports network, clearly shows that stone gets it. But Slaven and stones meet stick meet basically at the exact same time. And then that's where it just squeaks through Anderson. But I feel like stone got a pretty good piece of that. And that's where that guy with that stride makes his money is net front. And I think if you added up all the goals that he scored, he still wouldn't hit center ice as far as this playoff. So the crazy part was I felt bad for Jackson Blake. Cause I, once we had him on, I like him a good kid, hell of a player. Can't believe he makes 5 million bucks for the next fucking eight years. But I don't know what he was thinking when he, when he stuck his hip-hop on barbershave, just a really unnecessary play there. And he sold it. No, don't. I mean, he didn't just sell it. He was laying down like he was injured. But just no need, right? Like he's kind of on like the back pressure backtrack. And he, and like I don't really blame, like you're just trying to make a little. You're just trying to put that puck in the neutral zone and get fresh bodies on. Like he doesn't need that extra time and space to make that play. And essentially that's kind of the, the breakdown. Like they get the penalty kill quote unquote. But it's on that sequence of the guy coming out of the box. Your reads are a little bit different. Not having your, your full six on five structure. And ultimately it leads to the tying goal. But I had a bad feeling for Carolina going into that over time, boys. So did I. But the first shift, I think it was stankhole. Stankful flying. Flying in and he almost got it. And I was like, oh, okay, okay, okay. Like they are not no surprise. Like that's how they start games too. But they're, they're coming right now. And they get, they get it. They draw a penalty pretty quick. I have no complaints. I would hope nobody has any complaints, a, a trip. And hurdle doesn't get the puck out. It was him who didn't get it out, right? Yeah. Because unfortunately, the view of the, of the, you know, the TV, you couldn't really see what's going on on the wall. And all of a sudden you hear the crowd go nuts. And then the whistle blows with the arm raised. I'm like, I want to see this because even rooting for Carolina, I'm like, there's better be a legit penalty. And you have to call that once you got to call the legs can opener. That, that's what torts is when they had him wiped up. And he's saying we got to go north. We got to go north. Stop bringing it back. Like that play right there. You're definitely seeing that in video. Herdels going to have a sit down with torts tomorrow. And be like, hey, dude, you got to just punt this out at least into the neutral zone, especially in, in over time. It's one of those plays that you can't like five feet inside the, each blue line has to get in or has to get out. So that one, he'll, he'll be kicking himself for that. I feel bad for him because Herdels such a likable guy. But yeah, it's one of those things. You don't get it out. Something bad happens. And boom, you're the series is tied. One, one pretty crazy stat of Vegas as far as there to nothing blown lead in the third period. Gee, just posted it wet. I don't know if you can read that bad boy. Yeah, I can read this. So there's two parts to this stat. Now, I'll read the first one that that they mentioned on the broadcast as they signed off. It's the first Stanley Cup final in a hundred, like ever, 108 years, where a team has come back from multiple, a multiple gold deficit and won it in games one and two. So that's, that's wild. Just to know that Vegas is down to nothing early. They win game one. All of a sudden, Caroline is dead in the water to nothing game two. They end up winning. So amazing. And in this stat, Caroline, it became the first team since the 1944 Canadians to win a Stanley Cup final game after trailing by multiple goals in the final 10 minutes of regulation in 82 years. It's been. So you're seeing things happen in this series where we all had the feeling it was setting up to be an all-timer. And it's happened. And as you mentioned the power play and how keeping it simple, got them the, got them the first one, the stall tip. And early in the game, their first power play, they actually had one great scene past Blake found Hall and Hartman and awesome save on them. But after that, they kept kind of trying it while they get the stall tip in goal. And then this one, no question. Now, what's funny enough, when Aho had it, if you look, fetch the call, beat his man out of the corner. Oh my God. All alone in front slamming his ticket. Look like it was going to be a, like if he slid it to him like a tap in empty netter almost, but he doesn't give it to him. Goes up top. Gossys Bear fakes it a little bit with a shoulder and Jarvis boys. He fucking needed it. And Sean McDonough was saying, yeah, the big guys have been called out a little bit. And if one of them gets it here, like everything shuts up all the noise goes away and it happened. It happened. And the last game, go ahead, Jans. No, I was just going to say the breakdown of that, the PK sequence. It was Wild Bill and Ikel. They got, they, they were covering the same exact spot in the middle of the ice. When Gossys Bear bizzied, you were talking about him earlier, the way he can walk the walk the middle of the ice and get guys out of their position. Both Ikel and Wild Bill were standing right in front of each other. No one on on Jarvis and they just slide it over to him. He pounds it. So you're, so are you referencing typically the, the, the high forward on the strong side who's killing the penalty. If he's with Gossys Bear and Gossys Bear starts starts walking the line. In some cases, when they get to mid ice, they hand it off to the other winger to the other side, whereas some teams, they'll say, just stay with that guy. You roll up top and then that weak side forward will now come underneath and below him and then he'll take that out of the other side. Once Gossys Bear goes by, but going back to Jarvis, like he had a, a grade A last game that he flubbed on. He got, he barely got any wood on it. He probably should have put that one in the back of the net. And then he basically had an identical shot on that, that power play last game where he completely whipped on it and kind of like lost his balance and fell over when it was kind of pretty much right in his wheelhouse as you saw today. So for him to, to get to redeem himself and also get the big boys going, as well as like that third period boys, 50 minutes in. You're thinking where the fuck is the standpoint line? Where the fuck is the, the Ajo line? Like really, you go back to game one. It was, it was, it was the third line, stall ealers in Martinak who would get it done. They had three of the four goals. So for them to, to get those two lines going with those two huge bounces now going back to Vegas with potentially them down McNabb and a complete shift in the momentum in the series. Now it's starting to look like six or seven games where 50 minutes in. We were bringing out the fucking broomsticks and thinking about the complete restructure and maybe where Tulski was going to be GM and next year. No, I was like, this team is a joke. I can't believe this. This is exactly what happens when they play a legitimate big boy hockey club contender and they're getting worked again, even though they, I mean, they were, they worked in game one. No, but I'm just at that point in the second period, I was so mad. I saw one of the, well, the shot attempts are 50 to 12. But the shot attempts, but they turned it on. They got it done and we just got to witness it all time or it was and it goes. That's the way they play. Like they wear you down and you're going to have guys out like it's a seven game series and like they, they're built to wear you down over a seven game series. Yeah, they've done an easy work. The first three series. But you know, when you're down in McNabb, you guys are going to be more injured. Every guy's getting hit every shift. Like by game three, by game four, by game five, you're going to gonna be good. that Vegas guys are limping around. Yeah. Um, I'm just, I'm just thinking biz that when we bring up these insane two games and then last year's insane first two games, where last year, both teams one and five in the conference finals, maybe it's like these teams are pretty fresh. Like that's why the hockey is so good is because they've, it has, I mean, obviously Vegas has played more games, but they haven't really been through that much. So they just have so much left to give in the tank for the final. Now, it, well, now let's, I'm interested to see how this momentum shift. Like this is the first time in, in a, in a minute here, that Vegas is faced adversity. Like a, listen, yes, they were down in the Utah series. I believe they were down early in the Anaheim series as well, right? They were, they ever down in that series, but against Utah, they were, I think they were going to be down three, two in the series when they ended up pulling their goalie and then pulling a rabbit out of their ass and stealing game five from Utah and then closing it out in six, right? So, uh, or maybe it was game four, but either one either way, they, they rolled off three in a row in that first round series, but, um, they were, they were set to have their eight straight win if they want to choke that one away. But all of a sudden now first loss in eight games, you're down a demon, you're going back home, you got, you got to, you got to feel good about yourself and the fact that you split those two and now you get home ice advantage and you're going back and you get plenty in the building game for if McNabb is, is back and I'm back as I feel great. They're going to feel great either way. They have home ice advantage. They got the split, um, but if he's out, it's like, that's a lot. That's a lot to deal with because he's so important to them. And, and even if he's playing, man, if you're wearing a full cage, it's, it's a little bit different handling the puck. Like you just had a, a pretty, uh, you know, a pretty, uh, what do you say? Like a shocking thing happened to you. Sometimes it fucks a little bit with your psyche and your anticipation and your reads and maybe things are off a split second. So if he's able to come back and, and play like he was before, despite that injury, well, one, I, I already have so much respect for him because he's fucking nails, Stanley Cup winner leads a league in block shots or at least top 10 guys every year over year. Uh, if he can get back to doing what he was doing before, it's all gravy. if all of a sudden they're down to LaZon and in in in in Conway I always fuck up that guy's name. Well, and they have that core sac who could go in, right? Um, he just came back from injury, right? And he was like a week ago, we had the practice jersey on like the non-contact, but I believe that he's slowly coming to clearance. Okay. So I thought he was ready to go. He could have been, I remember last week before the series started, he came out and he had the red one on, but he was skating with the team. Do you guys think that um, they they all fly or at least Vegas tonight? Or do you think you just the new age style, sports science, they stay overnight, they get a good meal, they get a proper rest on that time zone and then they fly back tomorrow. Okay. Well, traumatic was the word you were looking for. Thank you. I was looking for the word traumatic. So we, you know, we have that madness we just discussed and we haven't even spoken since game one. Now you mentioned so 4.5 million people. That's a big number, right? Like what were we talking? We talking a rank. Do we have a rank there? Like what is what is the past? I don't know, but, but hockey is doing so incredibly well right now. You have, I mean, you had heated rivalry. Now you have this on off campus show, another smut TV show that's knocking off the hockey world, my, my culture is not your costume. It's not 54% from last year in 14% from 2022. And it's the highest rated Stanley Cup final game since 2019. So unbelievable. That is fucking that which was probably game seven. All people were doing. We're complaining about all Carolina. Carolina's not going to draw. Carolina shut the fuck up. My hockey's on a heater, baby. This might be one of the bigger signs that hockey actually is like, not going anywhere because I was excited for the series, but I really did think that it would not do big numbers. The fact that that game won, and it wasn't a Saturday night, like that's I'm feeling pretty good about hockey right now. If this keeps going to, and this is a close series like it's just going to keep getting better and better. I mean, and the fact that you don't have to compete with the NBA, and they're doing on and off days, that is a big bounce as well. So good for the sport. And it's on full display. And we have two amazing teams going at it. So shut out to Carolina, not bending over and going down to at home. Game one starts. Incredible video that ESPN made about Ray Bork. Ray Bork was kind of the main story behind it. They were at his restaurant in the North end, Tresca. And then they're throwing in the clips that that that song by the killers is that's an all time song. And just how hard it is to win it with the clips and the hits. And it was as well done as you can imagine. And our guy, John Ham, doing the narration was what is what a start off. They bring the cup out now. That's been new in the past few years. I kind of like it. Some people think it's a little corny. No, no, no. This is what you're playing for right here. They bring it out. And Nikolai. Elias was shot out of a SpaceX rocket flying down the fucking wings. Snipes one. And I was like, Oh, my God. Like this is this is incredible. I haven't seen this is this is even more nuts than most Carolina hurricane starts. And then he gets another one. And I at this point, I was like, Holy shit. Okay. So not only they, they're not overmatched. They can play with Vegas. They might run them out of the building and biz you were smart because after the first one, you texted the group. You go, Hey, boys, calm down. They did this game one against Montreal. They lost six, too. But then he got the next one. And I think you wrote, okay, okay. We're dealing with something different here. They didn't realize don't let up. Don't let up for them all of a sudden to be down three, two in that game. I, I, that's what I thought. I was like, I don't, I think Vegas might just be way better than them. I've been all over the map. As you can tell, I can barely talk right now. But when it went three, two Vegas game one and they ended up getting that win, I really was like, I think Caroline is completely fucked. Yeah. And that first, the first goal, like how infuriating for a coach, you've seen what Carolina has done the first shift of every game. And you're like, okay, just survive the first shift, survive the first shift. Boom, ealers, like you said, shot out of a cannon score. So I, I would imagine torts was pulling his hair out of his head there. But like we said, we're like pinched. He like caught. And the other way, him turning his game, I think he, he had a goal into assist after that. Like just knew, like they showed him on the bench smirk. And after he was like, all right, I got to pick up my game and take care of the boys here. And he did. He showed up at goal. He scored, he scored in the first, right? He scored their first goal. They get them going. Like I like when, when guys, if they make a mistake and it's a crucial one, they're able to just bounce right back and you don't have your head down, you know, a bitch and a complain. And he's like, all right, next shift, next shift. And it was like a minute after ealers score, too. So, uh, since we're on that topic, where I think you texted to remind us about something that McCrimman said about theodore before the series had even began. Yeah. He was talking about how he just keeps getting better and better and better. And I believe he mentioned, like when Petro had to retire, right, with the injuries, he wanted to become that type player. And I think earlier in his career, no doubt it was he was a power play specialist, very offensive. And McCrimman was just mentioning, like every single year, the guys getting better and better. And now he's out there. He's PK's playing last minute. Like he's, he's changed his game. He's become a more complete player. The way Prawner talks about guys becoming true number ones, enough to the point where I felt so foolish because you mentioned on the, the preview of this series, how they did not have a shade, theodore and Carolina because I thought Carolina's D overalls better. And I was like, yeah, they've got to spare offensively, but like your point mainly was, yeah, but this guy does it both ends. And for the GM to be talking about him, then for him to have a game one like that one and two, the past, the past to how that was so silk, forget the past. The movie did who, who did he embarrass at the top of the circle? I can pull it up, um, but just incredible, like awareness all over the ice. And that's why it was surprising to see him make that decision. But I think early on, like the, your mind's racing, the crowd's bananas and he gets caught and keep you mentioned. He was kind of smirking like, all right, I fucked up here. Now, now we go. And that was it. You're talking about on theodore's goal in game one. It was on Carrier, um, at the top, who was his guy? Yes. Yes. That's who that's who we kind of avoided, at least got out of the shot lane. And listen, like I said that and it's not to take anything away from gosses, spare either like I have so much respect for his career trajectory and how he was basically pigeon tossed by Philadelphia. He ends up in Arizona. That's where I started watching him. I'm like, fuck, this good. Kids a lot better than like I thought he was, goes over to Carolina. Then all of a sudden they let him go. He goes over Detroit. Now he's back in Carolina. Like this is his series to put himself in the theater category. Like Theodore was able to win a Stanley Cup. with the Vegas school nights. Yeah, he didn't have to be their number one because they had petrol around and he kind of did a lot of the dirty work and things that maybe theodore didn't have to do then. But, you know, as you've seen theodore evolve, it's like, ah, you kind of, you know, he's a hell, he's way more of a household name. Well, buddy, if Caroline is able to pull this off and figure things out, guys like gosses spare, the stank Colvin's, the fucking all hole, the Jarvis's, those guys are going to get the respect that they deserve that maybe a lot of people right now at this point in time, just like their team, kind of, kind of disrespect them a little bit. Like we still honestly truly believed all the three of us that Vegas is going to win the series. Like there's no way that even after watching that game, would you say you, you think that Carolina could win the series and they're going to I think they can, but I think right now Vegas is an overwhelming like favorite unless unless unless if McNaps out the rest of the series, which I can't imagine cup final and that guy. But if he's playing, yeah, it's going to be hard. And my main thing is, okay, so they come back and game one and stall gets that goal. By the way, the stat that came out after that. Oh, yeah, the did the time between playoff Stanley Cup Jordan stalls set the record for the most elapsed time between Stanley Cup finals, goal by a player 6,202 days. The previous record holder, Eric stalls 6,198 days like, huh, you're telling me this isn't simulation world. We're not in sim city. I don't get how that's real. His older brother had the record of 6,198 days. And then he broke it by four days. Are we fucking serious Henry stalls and I don't know if he's still in a sterile or if he's at the farm and Thunder Bay, my sperm holy shit. Oh, yeah, look at what I'm doing. Look at what I'm doing. Boy, he's got one kid cranking the horn, the siren. He's got the other kids scoring goals with that much time elapsed between Stanley Cup final goals. But back to what you mentioned about Vegas being like, probably overall better. I think hearts better. That was big for him to kind of, you know, like lose a game. Anderson stepped up enormous, right? Like that was a great in game one, no, and then two goals in girly game two. But mainly for Carolina to even come back and tie the game one, it was just all Vegas mistakes. So I'm looking at it. I'm like, it's not like they're, they're just dominating play. It's like Vegas would make a mistake if they got a goal, right? Like it wasn't, it was Vegas looking at the tape of game one and being like, boys, we won that game and we gave them three goals. Freddie, Freddie is going to have to steal a game. Every time that Carolina has a breakdown and Vegas gets a great A, it usually ends up in the back of the net. There was a few in the third period though, after they ended up, you know, scoring a few goals that he came up with some big ones. We talked about barbershave. Hey, at least good enough to, so it didn't get allowed. But there's going to have to be some breakdown instances like you see from heart where he'll make that save. And it just completely gets him out of trouble and you don't even remember the mistake was made. Like game one, every time a breakdown in the back of Freddie's net had had like it's, I don't want to come off his disrespectful. It's not like he was challenged that much in the first three rounds. Well, he was in some of the games he was getting 12 shots of game and the one game that I can remember where he was was munchery all game one of that series where they had a few breakaways in the back of the net. Every time there was a breakdown, it was in the back of the net. So can Freddie, can Freddie go be smalled and steal one on the road here where he puts up a performance of his lifetime? I mean, someone said it in the group chat when it was too nothing during the laws of that game. Do you start busy next game? 100% I would have if that game would have ended the way that we saw it through 50 minutes. Okay, well, and then, but like, I mean, he's got you there. He's, I don't know. Well, Anderson's now got to be feeling great because I mean, what was the one, what was the save? I think it was going wide, I believe, but it was a great save either way. They pardon him. The reason I like that one is because he came out, he challenged, he made the glove save. And you could see he had some form of cockiness and confidence that I don't see a ton from him. A lot of the times it's just, you know, he's, like, look at some of the, even going back to the auto series, everyone Brady had in front of the net and he like fell back on his ass and still somehow made the save. Like, sometimes he gets, he gets swimming around a little too much. That I felt like he was on his edges. He came in challenge, made the save and any, any, any kind of pop back up. Like, I got a big swing and dick here. And that's what I need to see from a starting goalie going into the fortress. And that's what Justin Williams said about when we interviewed him, remember, he said like his, his calm confidence kind of helps their team, their group because he'll make a save like that. And it's like, Oh, okay, he's, he's locked in right now. But yeah, you're right, it's almost going to be where he, he makes that part of his game where, Hey, if I make a save, I got to look like a confident, big, making these saves because if that group to, if they feel like they have something on you with especially the goal tender, they're, they're going to abuse you. Vegas will, and we talked about the first two lines for Carolina having, like, like big moments where now they get their confidence going. Listen, the fourth line for Carolina, I don't think I'd seen him made a mistake all play off long. Like I don't know if they'd been on for a goal against all playoff long. That's how dominant they were. And game one, I thought they got chewed up a little bit by Vegas's fourth line. Well, who comes through tonight as well for Carolina? That Jen Kowski goal to get their confidence back and get one back for their team where I felt like they let them down in game one. So you basically at this point in time, everybody's had their shit moment and everybody's had their success moment. So it's his confidence and in full straight ahead, everybody who drag the leg to stay on side there, that was sick. Right right off the hop. You saw a Vegas player throw the arm up. It did look off sides. There's an awesome play by him. But looking to Vegas guy tried to push him off side too. And he still stayed on. But, uh, yeah, you're right. Back to game one. So you mentioned, um, Jarvis kind of whiffed on the chance and then more than that right before the hurdle goal, the, the save that heart made on him. Now he did whiff on that one too a little bit. Yes. But still for heart to get out there and he made that glove save. And I want to say it was within a minute hurdle. Berries that winner. And that, that shift. That was so like how you have to beat Carolina, how Vegas plays, Sizzle throws it over. And I mean, I know who threw it over from the corner of Virginia? Cause it hurtle cycle that it was a cycle. He rolled up and he cycled it down to sizzles. And that's the man on man bullshit. If you want to pressure to the outside and outside the dots, that's not how Vegas rolls. They're always protecting the middle. They allow you the perimeter stuff. So if you could beat your guy to the inside, that's how you beat that man on man pressure with. What a past though. Like season makes passes like that. That's what I have no idea. I have no idea. And that was what's the stat here? Gee. I'm trying to read this quick. Thomas Hurl gave Vegas the lead with 324 remaining regulation, making it the latest go ahead goal in any Stanley Cup final contest since game six in 2017 when Horacris got the winner. It is also the latest in a final opener since 2017, which Jake Gantle got one. So just like, I was thinking we were getting OT and then all of a sudden it's over. And I'm like, oh, I think Carolina's completely fucked. Also in game one, I think Eichel at one point had me saying he's the best player in the league. Eichel was so nasty at one point. I think he gave a guy a tap in that was missed or it bounced. Then he hit the crossbar and like the poisey has. I was like, and he still hasn't scored a goal in the cup. Finally up, but he's got nine assists in six games. Or that was through game one. Did he get any points tonight? I don't know if I think he did. Yeah, if I had one gripe with him in, I mean, what do you tell a guy like Jack Eichel, but I would like to see him shoot it a little more like, especially on the power play. Their power play is not going great. I'd he's got an absolute cannon. That's why they broke him and Marner up. Right. Yeah, because it's like, no, you shoot. No, you shoot. No, you shoot. But yeah, but like he couldn't, he can rip it. Like let the goalies now, like they know you're going to pass. They know you're looking for for pass. Like surprise them once in a while. Like the sift one in there from the corner because he gets it and he has time because all the D play off of him because they know he's looking for pass. So let a couple rip. Yeah. Like he did in the in the last series when he exposed wedgewood far side post and in there. I don't think wedgewood thought he was going to shoot that either. No. And and in the all-time funniest moment is the end of the game. If Mitch Marner's on the Toronto Maple Leafs at the end of the game, Brindamore does an incredible job of like running down to the D and tapping the Keaton on the on the shoulder. Go go. Go. Go and stall who I think. I think he I think he might have beat three different centers. He was just snapping them back. That was doubt. He's a moose. It was sizzards. I don't know who else went in there. Boom boom. So Brindamore's like, all right, he's going to win it again. And it works so perfect. And it slides over to Keaton and Marner blocks it. Now, if Marner's and let's say this honestly, Marker look like he's getting out of the way. I don't really blame him. I guess he's like I shoot at 110 miles an hour If he's on Toronto that puck goes in and he's getting car. Oh the way Vegas and he's like oh fuck it's like kind of flamingoing blocks it and it's the hero look at him block of the shot I'm like this guy has just wanted life. He's in Vegas. His fucking teammates had him over their shoulder Rudy style Leave in the ice. What are you talking about? He's like I didn't even mean - he's already got a statue look like he's kind of trying to get out of the way of that one They move they move the dragon at the fortress. It's a Marner statue him blocking that shot. Oh I think it was one of those ones where you track it late and yeah, you're like oh fuck. Yeah, you're like oh shit Like he's a guy he blocks a lot of shots for like a slave guy He's not a guy like me flamingoing out of the way So I think it was kind of he saw it last second and then was like oh boy. What do I do here in a hit him? But I was going in great. I think that was going it looked like it was on the angle word of went posting in But I'll shout out hard here heart throughout his blocker And it was like the same level of where that was going So I would have kind of like to see it we should do some sports science show to see if it would have scored The team memes try to do it Yeah, see what he figures out with like an equation and maybe arrays a world will figure it out when we go there after this or not All right, well It's been it's been amazing. I cannot wait Saturday night fired up. No, it's Sunday two days off No, no, no, no, it's two days off before games four Seven four they go back to Tuesday. Oh APN what a city to have that extra day often. Okay, so a couple of things Colorado's in it all of a sudden we lose the kushkin again Hey, did to to go back to the ray board thing It didn't someone say that the reason why they had him do it because they expected Colorado No, army said maybe they already had done because they thought it was going to be Colorado, which Not the craziest thing still a great feature, but it was real feature. Yeah a little bizarre because it wasn't Colorado playing Yeah, I guess armistice got a point that he's got a point for sure I mean I always love seeing bubble because when it started with Ray I was like why is he what's he now by the end of the video? I'm like that was incredible I already showed it at oh, but I did for a second go. Oh, what's Ray? Like they're at fresco. What's going on here? Bruins aren't doing shit Even going back to quickly game one I thought like torts common down the boys after they went down to like I think that He's been really good with his bench stuff like they got him mic'd up, but you could hear what he's saying He's been pretty bang on. I mean some of you might say you could coach a monkey could coach that team and they could win But I thought I think he's hitting all the right notes and all the right buttons and he has gone He broke a record For the longest time in between cup final victories or a game in the cup 1028 days between game seven and oh four and game one on Tuesday, so Torts and then I think the the clip I saw it was like what have you done or what have you tried to change as being a coach I'm trying to be a better listener I try to listen better. It's like me like talking about I'm trying to listen better. I'm sorry What if what if next year? He's still the coach and by playoffs. He's got like the whole like the outfit like he's like a monk Oh if he's coach next year and There's struggling with eight games to go He's gone. He's gone. If they win it this year You know now pinky in the brain like oh, so we got another thing we can do we could just call a guy We don't even know eight games to go and then just run through the whole league Derrick McCarty's behind the bench. He's ripping the rip in the bong drawn a power place what about Scotty Bowman imagine they pull him out of utter retirement Makes sense that be a lot that be a lot of days in between standing cup finals cool um We got a little bit of house cleaning so we are we are actually going to Boston We will not be attending games three and four. I would go to six in Vegas If it gets there and and if Vegas has a chance to close out I don't know about you guys, but we're going to be doing a live stream for game four in Boston that's going to be Tuesday Um, and then we got a bagger plan. We're not gonna should we say who? No, no make them wait because they're so mad that they grewton and patty maroon and McDonough isn't out yet We just got to keep a mad so they're watching angry. You know, you're watching something angry You're fucking chewing on nails. I'm finally getting another bagger Who those next guys? When is that one's the green one coming out I thought it was during the finals. I don't know when say boys comes out Wednesday next week The one that we play in Boston will come out next playoff. No, it's the next time the Bruins are in the cup finals could be like 2038 for all now But before we get to anything else. I do just a couple quick ads here boys. Okay, couple quick ads here. Okay. You know who's not hot Did Detroit Redwings. Oh D-Balls It's not often I guess it's happening more and more now, but a captain Coming out. Oh boring. Tain. Trade me right fucking now. Was he not born in Michigan? Yeah, went to Michigan for college Born there. Yeah, this one is original six one was double. Yeah, you'd never see that that was a Friedman bomb That was I can I speak like openly here and like I don't want to upset anybody, but like I would love to be a fly in a wall if you put Dylan Larkin and Steve Iserman in a room together alone Buddy, all right the first thing I thought was the balls it takes Because I'm guessing he does that in person maybe the agent calls But there's obviously some disconnect and a disagreement or friction between him and iZerman And it goes back to two years ago press conference the press conference end of the year. Yeah, where we all at the time We're like, oh man, like I'm just I mean Stevie Iserman is my idol Yeah, it's the first jersey. I ever got the red iZerman captain Redwings unbelievable number 19 to I wear his number and To just be standing up there and like yeah, we thought we'd get some help. We never get some help We probably should have known then that this thing's coming to an end at some point is I kind of respect Dylan Larkin basic DDY I don't give a fuck how many Stanley cups you have. I don't care what you did for this organization He's give you know, he's giving it Never watch judge Judy Oh, I thought you were like the reliever like bring it in the I'm saying I'm not fucking waiting any longer for you to make some moves to get guys in here to help me win Bye bye. I want out. I don't want him win not even win get into the dance. Get in I I'll throw it over to the ends do you agree with the fact that Larkin's kind of like I'm not staying patient anymore I've waited as long as I have Now here here's the flip side and here's where some red wings fans might say Give me a fucking break. Yeah, I think they are saying that Larkin had a great first half of the year. I've I've saying his praise. He had a great Olympics He had a great four nations He didn't have a five on five point in the month of March when they he was injured Okay, okay, sorry. I'm just I'm playing devil's advocate here. I know All I keep hearing from these two guys on the podcast are like everybody's playing injured this time here Everybody's playing injured this time of year. Well, he's not playing this time of year. He's not playing What do you mean after the Olympics? Everybody's playing banged up Yeah, I don't know if it's bad. I think there's a different it's been banged up in like a knee. Okay. So you're a Larkin defender. You're saying fuck you to Stevie Y two. Um, what's, what's the stat G? What's the stat? Dylan Larkin is played in more games in the winter Olympics than he has in the Stanley Cup playoffs through 11 seasons in the NHL. So I think I think he's played in one Olympics, six games in the Olympics and no playoff games. I think he's sick. Oh, my playoff is first year this year. But I think he's sick and tired of hearing like, you know, especially since he's been the captain, but since he's been there since Lidstrom left, Zetaburg left, that's who've left. They haven't done anything, right? And he's probably sick and tired of hearing that. Maybe the guys from there, maybe it's adding a little more pressure, you know, he could be hearing it every day. He could be hearing at the grocery store. You look at a guy like Mitch Marner who grew up in Toronto played there. He might be hearing some shit then wants out. Maybe Larkin sees what Marner's doing. He's like, you know what? Fuck this. I want out too. I when he was just did it their best buddies. Yeah. I respect the fact that he did it, man. I really do to have the balls to go into a guy like Stevie Y to, I mean, Detroit's our first class organization. That was like the one team I always wanted to play for, but obviously they were a wagon when we were playing. And just to have the balls to do it. And I would imagine him winning at the Olympics, probably helped that have the confidence and going into it. And he's seeing other guys doing it. Maybe some tampering who knows, but yeah. I mean, at the end of the day, he's probably like, Lava cake luncheon meetings. Yeah. He's probably like, I want to be happy every day going to the rank. And I might not be doing that a having that right now in Detroit. So I, I, I tip my cops on for doing that. Do you think that, do you think that it's a fan base divided? If you could say, Larkin stays and he, he continues under different management and or no, I'm, I'm sick of Stevie Y. I want Stevie Y out of the seat because how long it's taken and I'm sick of this eyes or plan, eyes or plan. Like who, who do you think that they're the fan base deciding with here? I think the fan base deciding with, with Iserman and the team based on more so him, like kind of quitting them. Like, you know, fans, look at things like he's quitting on us. He's quitting on our cities, quitting on like what we're trying to. But I would also say there's a lot of people online kind of saying I'm done with hearing about this eyes or plan, eyes or plan. It's moving at a snail's pace. We got, we got, we're in a tortoise race here by, oh, we need better players. We need better players. Well, how about fucking trading some of your draft picks and some of your prospects, like the Vegas goal of the night's do? Like Billy G does. Like some of the other teams getting creative right now and making their rosters better a lot sooner. Like being very, very patient, no doubt. Thinking as a, if I was a red wings die hard. So you're two years into what was it? It's us to, I got a new deal. I got a jock sniffer fan. Write me today. He goes, and this is a guy who's been around sports. Please blast Iserman on your next podcast. So in that that you run your homegrown cap than out of town. Yeah. Do you think? I don't know. Yeah. That's, I don't know. Is this guy on tilt? That just texted me. I think they're all tilt. I think you're blaming. I, I, I, why couldn't they keep that? Why couldn't they keep it quiet and try to trade them without having this? Well, there's nothing, nothing, nothing, no one will, no one will, part of Elliott's article said nobody will comment on it. I, I said, it won't comment on it. I said, he wants Elliott Freeman dead at the fact that this was talked about. It puts restaurant the team, though, too. If this gets out there, now there's pressure from the fan base. They're going to get a lot more offers from other teams now that his name is out there. But at the same time, Darren Dragher said, this is something that's been going on behind the scenes for months now. So I don't think this is new to other GM's. I didn't want to say this, but I heard Larkin took a shit on his desk. I, I'm not, I'm not even, I'm not even going to allow you to mention something so ridiculous as to someone disrespecting Steve Eisner that way. And I know you're, you could be a roomer, but I heard he took a shit. Here's the thing now. Did you hear that? No, I've never heard that. If you think that Steve Eisnerman is going to allow himself just to be bullied like this. So you're crazier than the guy who told you that he took a dump on his desk, or maybe you just made that up, I believe. And then to you're the crazy one, because I'm going to sit back now and say, Oh, you want to trade? I played the fifth. What's what's his no trade no more? Yes, two more years of a no move. And then it goes to a 10 team. No, sorry, no trade. No trade. It's two years and then if you took a shit on his desk, it adds a third year of no move. I just think Wings fans probably are thinking like if, if after next year, you don't make the playoffs like one more year almost now. Yeah, you, you could argue both sides like another fucking year, but it's like, I don't know, your two years into seven, it's a hell of a bargain. He makes, it's an eight seven, eight point seven cap hit. He gets 30 every year. This year at 34, never had 80 points, never had 35 goals. I know, but doesn't get paid. Does it get paid for? I just told you two stats and you got defensive. I'm just giving you the information. I'm, I'm, I'm having a conversation. I think at the beginning of this, you agreed with them. So it would be, we're, we're just talking, we're talking like fans do it a bar, right? The whole creation of bar stool sports, the platform we're lucky enough to be a part of. We're having a god damn conversation. Call me sensitive again at one in the morning. I'll fucking jump to his career. I'll shit on your desk. Okay. I'm just trying to say that. I'm just trying to say that one more year, Dylan, one more year, that's wingspan's talking one more year. I agree. And then, and then I get it. If they miss next year, because that's like, all right. If they miss next year, I think I think I can be gone. I think that it should be like a, like a Russian roulette style. They go one more year. And if they don't make playoffs, they basically do the standoff to whoever draws a sword straw and they're gone forever, forever, never to be talked about again. Iserman's banner would have to come down from the stand. Like, let's go all in here. But you're making the, you're making this sound like they hate each other and that the beef is with, I think they actually might hate each other. Really? Oh, okay. It sounds like they, they, they certainly hate the strong word. That's a Dan Whitney phrase. They certainly disagree on things. And he just, he's the captain of an original six franchise. He's from the state. And he just said, get me the fuck out of here. I'll beat that, that they hate each other's guts drum until Steve Iserman comes on this podcast and says otherwise. Wow. And also rips the bond with us. Do you think there's a chance that, with Dregor saying this has been kind of going on or in the works for a while, that that's why Billy G didn't go out and overs pay for somebody at the deadline because you know, if there's one team that needs Dylan Larkin. It's the March, it's the Minnesota while. And if there's one GM, I don't want to say they can bully, but that would have as much respect for anyone as he would Billy G that, that would be the team that he would trade with. But who would they be able to give up to even get Larkin back? Oh, no, they already got gold tending. But Murls has already said that the police have took too much so they can't get them. Murls and I'm telling you guys, I know, Murls, we are going to be hearing about the police have took too much money for the rest of time. Oh, if they never win it, it's you will hear that for the rest of the time. And he's the one who said it first, boys. Oh, Murls said it first. Now other options, every single team, I mean, yes, everyone needs centers. This guys, now I said before, I actually believe Dylan Larkin on a Stanley Cup team is an incredible second line center. That is kind of the difference between McDavid and, and, you know, the, the I call and I, but I, I think you get Larkin as your number two and you're fucking laughing, or, or with Erickson, that's a good enough one too. Do you agree with me? 100%. Okay, I think Minnesota is very intriguing. I also, people keep bringing up the fact and I don't know, maybe we'll get posh at a chime in on this one. I believe he shares deals coming up that feels like too much of a same type of center where I kind of feel at this point in time and posh is probably going to argue with me. I feel like he's sure is also a second line center on a Stanley Cup, wouldn't he? Yes. Yes. I agree with you. No, he's not. He's in that 15 to 20 range. So what a Dallas Dallas for Robinson. But going back to how you call them, call Robinson. I love it. I love it. What about? What about David Robinson? What would you want? Would you want Larkin and he sure on the same team with Simone Nehmick? Get that deal done. Not just anemic, okay, throwing a little bit more. You're saying, I thought you were talking a posh. You're saying, bring posh in. Look at this guy's fit right now. He doesn't do the light late at night. He does the red light. He sure is not going anywhere. Let's just put this to fucking rest. Like, oh, yeah, don't change up your core, but why would you? Sweet. So you know, whether he's here over Larkin. He sure is better than Larkin. Not having a question. It's, it's not like night and day, but he sure is better than Larkin. No, Keith, it's look at the analytics, man. You didn't, you didn't run this. That card right now, the disclaimer. He's better than Larkin. Is that right? How Larkin? How? This is a blue light blocker. How? Why is he better than Larkin? Because, well, if you want to look at just straight, like on top of the hood stats, he's had more points than Larkin before him. He's, he sure is cracked 80 points and defense. He sure has fucking Jack Hughes on his team. They don't play together. Power play? Okay, sure. Power play. But fuck it's where you're getting points. Where you get them? Where you're at? This guy is your eye. Oh, Larkin doesn't have fucking Lucas Raymond to play with and fucking Paddy. Can you just frame what's not a pop off? Like, we're talking. This is apples to oranges, buddy. You just mentioned points. But like I said in the group shot, it doesn't make sense for the Devils to get Larkin because he would be a three seat on that team. And that's overkill. Use your assets like Nemitz. Why you laugh? Larkin would always talk about strength to the middle strength to the middle strength to the middle. And if they have bigger needs, they have bigger needs. The Larkin would be a three C. He's not playing above. He sure is not playing above Jack Hughes. They need an elite scoring winger. Use Nemitz. Use your assets to get an elite scoring winger. They don't remember. This is the guy. This is the guy when when talking elite scoring wingers, I don't want anything to do with Steven Stamco's. Yeah, true. And you talk about elite guys. Illars comes over from Winnipeg. He's playing third line. The man's playing in the fucking Stanley Cup finals. He had two goals the other night. And Grinnelli just mentioned, he sure has hit 80 points once. Then his next highest season was 69 points. So I'm, listen, I love Larkin. I'm not shitting on him. And Larkin is here and Larkin is here, multiple times. I think they're very, very close, but he sure is a better player. I'll take that to the grave. Let's go to Jans' mock trades. So that's the other thing other than the battle between the great, great, great mock trade, the mock, the mock trades, the mock trades. Jans, the, the robo not signing with Dallas and it always being a storyline of whether he's going to end up there. They're getting tight against the cap and they got some, they got quite a few guys to lock in before next season begins. Could you see them bringing Larkin over and moving robo? Yeah, I don't see. I mean, ideally, you'd like to keep both of them, but did they have the cap space? Who knows? I think Dallas has to look at like, you have a elite goal tender, like, oughtinger, you got to be in the win now. You got to stack your team. If you're losing a guy like Robertson who's scoring as much as he does, bringing in a guy like, well, I mean, obviously you'd like to have them both, but Stevie Y isn't going to get bent over in this deal. He's going to get some fucking players and some prospects. So I don't know if, um, who knows? Like, would he even sign that, right? And it's, it's a lot to, a lot to go into that. But I think when I soup, when I, I'm not going to say superstar, but when a high end player, a captain requests a trade, demands a trade, does the team ever win that deal? Like, look at the Quinn Hughes deal. A lot of time who knows what Booey M could turn into, but like, as of right now, I think that was, like, oh my God. That was also during the season too, right? So less time to deal with it. Like right, right now they have, they have plenty of time to deal with this. They got. I do think that this is bringing up what could be a legendary draft this summer. Yeah. I think we're going to get the most noise and action. And I think that we're, we're entering an era. It's the, the, the player and the power man era. Where are these guys? We're in the middle. We have, we're not entering it. We're in it. We're in it. We're in it. I think they're in it. It started with math. You could chuck. Yeah. Yeah. That was, but I'm saying is like that was kind of the domino. And now you're going to see way more of it. It's beautiful. Way more of it. So when you say it's beautiful, like I, as a former player, yeah, it is because players never, I don't want to say didn't have the balls, but they just didn't do this. And now we're like, kind of getting like a little NBA style. Biz to the point today on the group chat for everyone listening, says he wouldn't mind if there was eight powerhouse teams in the league. I've been beating this drum for a while. And then 24 shipbums. And then these eight just run through the playoffs. And it's always like we got the, and I then said, well, that's what the cap was created to stop. But now the player empowerment error that we're entering is kind of flipping it back where guys are just the problem is they're all, they're all going to want to go to Vegas. Yeah. They're all going to, the Southern teams are going to guess to stack up for years to come here. This is just the error we're in. But I, I have beat the drum of I'm okay with them making the contracts even shorter in length in order to create a little bit more movement. I think that everybody's going to eventually get fed. And you know, listen, I think that right now you're probably looking at some Canadian markets that are going to lose some star American players as a result of other bullshit off the ice that's gone down. And maybe like media wise and yada yada yada. You guys know all the reasons as to why that's going to happen. But I always believe that the pendulum will swing back the other way at a certain point. And that's kind of the error we're entering right now. And right now, after July 1st hits, I think that the players who still have like players coming off of entry level will still have the opportunity to lock in for those eight years, even if it's but beyond July 1st. But once that news, seven years, I, I believe that if there's players who are coming off of their entry level, we're certain organization. Yes, you're right. I was wrong about that earlier. It's September 15th for that, I believe. Correct. They're going to get that little extended period, right? But for training camp, where they can lock in these guys for these final eight year deals. And then after that, it's going to be the six on a new team, seven on a current team. I think the next CBA would not be shocked if it's five and six. And then maybe beyond, I don't think the guys should be signing deals longer than, than I think six years is a very healthy number. NBA went short, where I think that it's five years for your star players, but any, it's four otherwise. Maybe that's a little short, but I like the five and six. I want to see guys changing teams a little bit more. Listen, do I respect the Sydney Crosby's and the Steve Eiserman's and the, the, the, the, Mario Lemuse that played for one organization? But man, it was pretty sick when fucking Gretzky got dealt. It fucking blew up the hockey world, man. It's all everybody was talking about. And imagine getting to see a guy like Connor McDavid going to NYC, getting him play for the New York Rangers. Apparently he's buying a house in Montreal. That's all, that's all that's all the rumors gone online right now. He was in Montreal and he was looking at houses. Obviously. That is crazy. You said that I got a DM saying, Hey, my, my friend in Edmonton is a realtor. And then I, I guess they're shopping their place. Now take what I'm saying with so much big grains of salt that you can't even imagine. There's so many big grains like those mini grains, you know, those big grains. No, no, no, no, we're doing like the salt, like big chunks of salt, like that you salt the roads with. Oh shit. All these guys, those ones, we're deicing right now. Yeah. The deisters, the grain of salt you're taking with what I'm saying. I guess McDavid's now on the move. I'm getting to the quick hits portion of the show here. Yeah, it's brought it up. Don't. I know he's fucking somewhat, these algorithms, probably some fucking crack head hockey rumours guy who's like, yeah, I'm a dude. I was buying a house malt stream. St. Blanc. What's the fucking Eric? Oh, I'm not doing this. I'm doing quick hits. Shut up. You're thinking about maltri blonde. Yes, Zach Werencky wins his first Norris trophy. What an incredible like race for the Norris this year. Very surprised. Kale McCartle was second. O'Lean ends up getting third. Evan Bouchard fourth. But Werencky, he deserved it. He deserved it. You could say they didn't make the playoffs. You don't agree. I disagree with you. I thought that may hurt him, but it didn't. And the way they did the video of presenting it where they said it was very funny. If anyone didn't see it, he went golfing and then they set up all these hidden cameras. And then I think Dan Rosen was there to or somebody who was there to interview him. It was a new. It was going to be a little kind of father's day, father's day, quick head on what it's like being a dad. And you could tell he was probably what I think his son's like two months old. He's like, and in the interview, the fake interview is like, not much change. Like I, he's just like a little baby. And then boom, the guy comes from behind with the Norris trophy and all his families there. His dad, by the way, machine, stallion machine, it looks like a professional fucking bodybuilder. I was like, no wonder this kid's an animal. And then his brother who had a baby the day before, then got to go play golf with them. I think so I'll shout out his wife, and then he comes home. It was cool. And Zach Orinsky is an awesome guy, very funny side note to this. He slept through his interview with R.A. and I. So I had to call murals and that was murals first ever appearance on the show. No, I'm sure. Korea where I believe he might have just taken an ambience too. Murals was so mad at me. Didn't give me time to prepare, dude, I invented this show. Ah, I invented the North trophy, the murr. So that was Murals first appearance when we're in ski blew us off. But then we got to know him, a legendary shot in the sandbagger. He played on business ball hockey team. They lost and he wins the North. So shout out Zach, awesome person. That was the turning point. That's when he took a look internally after nose face. Got him at the OG chicklets cop in Detroit. And he said, I got to step my game up. And he did. And then he sunk that amazing shot in the bagger. One of the best bagger moments of all time. Until the grudin one, you guys will have to wait for that. Another, another award winner. I'm going to let R.A. talk about that award. And finally here, the oilers in a shocking, shocking news story. They're, they're looking to trade Darnell nurse. And in the article, you know who wrote the article is, uh, I would assume that it was stuff. Everybody reads spec. Spec spec came came in with it with a hammer. And in the article mentions that they were thinking about scratching them before game seven of the cup finals two years ago. And they decided not to, but that was part of the article. So not just saying that Edmonton wants to get rid of them, just really just just making them feel even worse, bringing up the possibility of a healthy scratch in game seven. So apparently, um, Bowman and nurse will meet this week. We'll see what happens. Coming from somebody who had more healthy scratches than games played. It's not as bad as you think. The first time I was scratched, I remember Ralph Gruber came in and I saw my name in the morning skate and it was seven defenseman. And I was like, oh my god, I'm getting scratched. Never been scratched. It comes in scratch. I was devastated. I was bombed. I was like, oh my god, I'm a healthy scratch. I got healthy scratch. No, I didn't cry. And then probably a sign that like things were coming to an end. I was like, this is like, got a workout in. It's a popcorn. I was like, I can see why business likes this so much. It was as bad as I thought it would be. Now, I think I ended up being scratched like, I don't know, like 12 of the next 15. It was a long run of being scratched. But yeah, Bayez, you were on to something with the healthy scratch life. Mani Maholtra hired as the 23rd head coach of the Vancouver Conox. I imagine that they'll be just horrible again next year. But this guy want to call their cup for this organization and still hasn't got a ring, but he, but they want it. And now the question is, do they draft his son who's a super prospect? That's something to keep an eye out on. This one kind of very confusing to me. Then I read more about it. Chris McFarlane leaves the Colorado Avalanche and becomes the president and the GM, I believe, of Nashville. And that was, I was like, why are you leaving? Is it lateral? No, he's just has more power in Nashville. It obviously waited for a reason. Everyone's like, why haven't they had a higher to GM? Well, they had their guy. They wanted Colorado losers and he moves on. So were you surprised by that? I was surprised, but I think that as one of the best GMs, and of course, now presidents in the league, getting to go to a place as desirable and off the grid as Nashville with the support they get. No state tax, I think that he could turn that team into a wagon in like three, four years. Okay, I think that that is a very undercover organization that I could see quickly on the rise, especially with that higher. And such when you're a GM going in a situation with that much money to play with, given the salary cap and the no state tax, I think that is a great, great situation for them to lock in and land their guy, as well as, yeah, I, I just see a lot of guys wanting to play there in the future. 100%, we never mentioned their name when you talk about like, oh, Matthews, where do we think he ends up? Where do you think Larkin ends up? Where do you think all these other, we never talk about Nashville. I think that they could slow or are pretty quickly here, turn it around and create a wagon. Well, don't trade right here, Lee, that kid. I love that watch that kid. I think he's going to be a stud. We have, we have a request for everyone listening. When we're all together next week, we're going to be doing a bunch of stuff. We'd love a ton of questions. We're going to do one of those mailbag episodes where we're all together in the same room, fire away any question about any questions, good questions, hopefully, but about anything, doesn't just have to be hockey, anything you want, that goes to checklets [email protected]. So checklets [email protected], send us anything you want. We're going to get together and do that. And we were all invited back to this year's internet invitational. I was just despised by the YouTube golf community. I'm very excited to see Quan again. I want to give Quan a, I want to give Quan a hug. I don't know if he's a hug guy. I want to maybe apologize. I probably got a little aggressive. I don't really regret the what I said to him, but you know, it's been a while. And the guy's the hell of a golfer. And if he wants to shake my hand and maybe give me a hug, I'm going to say what? What if he's on the other team? I'm still when I see him going to say, what's up, Quan? Maybe does he want to talk to me? But I think he would for sure give you a hug and to be water under the bridge. He seems like a pretty level guy. Yeah, they might even throw you to in the same room. So you wake him up. I'll wake him up. He's on my team. So boy, this is what they sent over. Oh, he's crazy unboxing the way he ripped that open with his giant hands. Wow, I haven't opened mine yet. I lease a text to me. I got a bunch of packages. I'm going to get open. Could you guys give me a drum roll, please? This is good. Listening to a beef. Hey, you're missing the picture of beef. Yeah, there's a picture of beef. You can't see it's on them. How cool is that? Now what a classy touch right there. That's awesome. One of the nicest people I've ever met in my life to be true gentleman right there. And he wanted that's all one that thing. That's off to beef. Okay, there it is. Internet old school computer. Pretty cool invitation. And then inside it says businessy. It says we are pleased to extend to you a formal invite to compete in the 2026 internet, rotational. This private event will once again unite a careful, curated group of the best or best of the worst golf content creators in the world as the event draws closer. Important details will be provided to you. Please remember the location and dates are strictly confidential. We look forward to bringing together all the good, the bad and the ugly of the internet's top golf creators and anticipate another exceptional tournament regards, bar stool sports and Bob does sports. When when is it? I'm just going to say that we cannot disclose that. Shout out to the four play boys and obviously a bar stool and everything everything they've created as far as the internet and rotational and our good friends at Bob does all those boys also to four million dollar purse this year. What? I'm assuming it'll be a four man team winning it again or woman. And each person will be getting a million dollars. So I mean, like a million could be more. Remember Dave was thrown around like bets that you could make to go back. He was, yeah, no one took the bets, right? If I remember correctly, yeah, very excited for that. So before we get to R.A. I got to mention Hey, Chico's fans. We're going to take a quick break for a message from one of our partners. On game day, get sub stacked high at Jersey mics. Like the number 13 original Italian loaded with meats, cheese and toppings or the number 56 big cajuna cheese steak with grilled steak, peppers, onions and mushrooms topped with jalapenos and melty cheese. Get your sub fix on game day and order in store or the Jersey mics app. All right. Now back to the show and let's bring in the big guy himself. Hello, everybody. Welcome to our raise world hero and spit and check us is about time. He's had a fucking show at my clock. My time. This is my witch and I right here. Love it break games tonight. Dude, you mentioned earlier with bread. How crazy before game one 100 to one to win the cons. My after game one, he went down to 25 to one. He got the two goals. I think he was freaking two to one. I've been playing in the streets for a long time. I have never seen a line go from a hundred to one. two to one within four and a half periods, absolutely. But Anna's crazy, you bet it at a hundred or one. I, I, I, I, I, I, I got a little taste. Yeah, I felt the way I can. I'm not crazy. What does a little taste mean? Honestly, like for him, 10 grand. No, no, no, no, no, that's, I mean, that's not kind of a max play. No, like just like, just like a close to a C note on your over 500 bucks. Uh, no, no, just a hundred, just a, uh, like, actually less than a hundred. But I'm like, I haven't, you know, like I said, I've had a good boy lately. I was like, I got to get a couple of cons. Mike's out there, like I think Jack was a good bet 14 to one. But like I said, Doraphay of 50 to one, howdy. I mean, he's eight to one right now. So obviously he hasn't won it yet. But, you know, two to one, you said, right? Boy, he did during the game, he was down to two to one. But then Carolina come back. So they, they flex, like I said, I mean, I'm saying. But like I said, I mean, I mean, the last, I mean, I dropped the odds at the Venetia one time, September, 2010, I was betting the Bruins. The year I lowered up on them when they won the cup. And I, I was like, I only put like two grand on them. And they went down from 16 to one to 14. And I called my father. I was like, dad, I'm like, he was like a proud pup. I was like, I just dropped the odds here. But we were also like, when did Venetia turn a bunch of pushies to it? It was only two grand. They should be dropping the odds off a small bet like that. So it's wild. Like when you see that actually at action. So anyways, how'd it end down to that? Torturella, he got billed out. I thought the challenge was awful, awful challenge on that play. Like just the optics of that, you know, the intent to blow. Like, I don't know why you would put that risk at that point in the game. They'd cost them, but they did make it up. They did get it to OT and also I don't know. When he waited to pull hot that long, they had a power play. They were in the zone two, two minutes left. And I don't know. You got to pull the, you got to play a goal. They have a six on four up. It's only I know they did end up tying it anyways. But I don't, so I don't know you get the, you get the free icing. If you're Carolina, they do have a good penalty kill. And they're pretty good six on five. I would, I think I'm letting my power play get a chance. Okay. All right. Yeah. Sometimes it's too many guys out there when it's six on four. I like it for the face off because you have an extra guy to go get the puck. But they didn't, they didn't, they didn't pull them, oh, they did pull them when they got the face off win, right? Oh, yeah. Yeah. So they did end up working out. That was the end of the play. It's like something to ask all right now, but basically, I don't know. I just thought like when they were in the zone, they would get a six on four up at 20. But yeah, you guys played the game. I certainly didn't, but either way, I love strong opinions though, all right? And I'm interested to hear that you didn't back torts up, considering I thought it was a botched call. I thought that he, he was going to put it into the like the guys upstairs hands to come through with the common sense. As we saw with, with in the Edmonton against Anaheim series, but I guess it always goes back to having to, to start with the what the ref called on the ice exactly. Like the, just the initial optics, even it's like it wasn't called the goal. It's like, like, what do you think you're going to see here? That's going to flip this the other way. I just, I was, we mentioned it earlier, the fact that it was potentially labeled goalie interference. Yeah. Was the fact. Yeah, I just, either way, like, I mean, the thing is though it was a killer stick that killed them. I mean, hurdle. Yeah. That's just a killer penalty. That stick when he knocks all down, tripping there. It's just, he's got a rough half to call that. It's just not a tripping penalty. You want to see it all the time. But you got to call that. Like I'm out of play. But either way, we've had two classics so far, so far, so good and this cup stuff. This is a crazy stat after the game won win. Vegas has many, has as many or more wins in Stanley Cup final history than 13 of the 31 other teams in the NHL. That's absolutely banana lands. Do you see that? They're not going anywhere. Yeah. Absolutely. Just throw guys off the, off the ship and bring more guys on. What you mentioned, bringing the cup out. I don't like that. I think like, you know, bring the, put the cup out when the, you know, well, the cup is in the building. Save it for that stuff. Those guys know what they're playing for the fans though. They know the deal. I just. All you thought it was a cheesy intro. Yeah. I thought it was. Like, you know, it's like, then they do the, uh, the introductions for the lineups. It's like, everybody knows why we're here. I don't know. I just like, I mean, what do you guys think? I, you know, you grow in the game. I already said. I liked it. I liked it. I think it's part of one of those things of growing the game all for clips and all that stuff. Sickest trophy in sports, so like show it off. And then if the cup final I was in, they brought that thing out. I think the juices are going even more like before game one. Yeah. You got like ealers. Drink out of it. Well, you know, I agree with you guys. I think that like when like dangling the carrot and it's just all of a sudden, it's like, oh, wow, it's within grasp now. She is. It maybe, maybe pucker some guys a little extra. Maybe maybe that's what ignited this unbelievable series so far. So we should be thanking him for it. I don't see pictures of me like what it's 17 times and like that doesn't mean that much. Weren't you, weren't you in a trivia show when you mentioned that like you sneaking in and being a part of like six cup back parties was like a top 25 moment. The question, the question was, the question was, oh, you can't talk about it. I don't know. Just give him one of these. Yeah, the show hasn't, hasn't dropped yet, but yeah, I don't think I, I guess they don't want to spoil. But yeah, yeah, the dog walk in Boston, Chicago. Yeah. My last. My last. I need a dog walk. It's not the fucking image. It's not Japanese. Either way, it's coming out soon, but yeah, I made my last pic personal, but like I sent pictures over. It was kind of a setup for a lap. And anyways, talking about coaches, thanks for letting me save this one. Congrats to my boy, Koopie, one of the Jack Adams, I know a lot of people are complaining online. I thought rough shit. I should have won a bubble. I would have a congrats to Koopman. I told him, now you get the other Thanos gem in your India fist there, you know, with all the Stanley cups and the gold medals and everything. He's won. So congrats on my pal, happy farm. But I was surprised that I guess I shouldn't be considering when we talk about the stuff that went. What a gold medal. Huh? Not gold medal, this is. I'm silver. What am I talking about? Four nations. Yeah. He's got an international gold somewhere, but, um, but, uh, what do you call it? USH. He's got basically every level. He's playing coach that. He's got a championship. Come on. I had a lot of Buffalo fans coming at me because they pulled up a, uh, a screenshot of when I was on the panel. And at that point in time, Columbus was in a playoff spot. And I had my top three as Koop, Dan Muse and bonus. I thought that if Columbus would have made playoffs, I would have had bonus. I had a Lindy rough for getting that horrendous start to the season that he was not a part of and he was not to be blamed for as he wasn't the coach there. I thought that that would have been more impressive than what would Lindy rough had did in Buffalo. Like, yes, congrats to Lindy rough and everything he did, um, Koop has had far superior regular seasons than what Lindy rough has and has not won the trophy. So some Buffalo fans, they want this consolation prize because they got beat out in the second round of playoffs of their coach winning coach of the year. Like, I think Koop's got a good enough resume to have finally won his first Jack Adams trophy in with how many injuries they had this year and the way that the, what he got out of that group, he 100% deserved to win that. Thank you. Was that not one of the closest votes ever? Yeah, it was. Oh, really? It was the close double. Yeah. And I like how I like how they did it to I like how they kind of surprised these guys. He was presented in a new wing. I think it was Tampa general hospital and, um, you know, they kind of surprised and they wheeled out the trophy on a cot and his kids were there and stuff. So, you know, I like how they kind of take these special moments and make all special on guys. If, if I were to say, but going back to my point is some people think that I have a vote for coach of the year. I did have a vote. I re-nigged my vote. I don't want to vote on legal words anymore. I said, no, thank you. And I believe that the same goes for you, Ryan Whitney. No, I just wasn't invited back. Oh, but Jesus mentions a good point that Coup's dad passed this year, right? Like tough, tough year, you know, like the Olympics and I think he passed a few days after the Olympics, right? Yeah, right. Yeah. You know, going through that and then at least he gets, he gets his first Jack Adams. I'm happy for him. Very happy for Coup. Yeah. Absolutely. Also congrats to Chica. Chris Rooney from South Boston. He worked his out. He's working his ninth cup final. What? He made his debut back in November of 2000, man. I can't believe he's been on the job almost 26 years already, 50 years old. Yeah. He's got games, uh, one, three and five of this series. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, he gave a little, uh, a little quick talk to the boys before they dropped the first puck. So that congrats to my pal Chica. We go back a little bit. Um, did you see the home plate? Um, I have the, uh, the Philadelphia Phillies picture of Chris Sanchez. He had the, uh, fifth most, uh, innings, but I'll give it up to run 50 point two innings. And you know, they finally gave a run and the umpire actually like, you know, stepped up. He actually went over like, went over like and put dirt the plate and like wiped it off. So like the crowd would be able to give him an extra applause. Like, you know, he made sure like to waste a little bit more time. So the fans could give this guy like an extra like, you know, it's all right. Robock couldn't do that move, all right? Absolutely. Man. Absolutely. Hey. Robock. I know. Uh, no, I never said anything about that shit. No, I mean, oh, okay. I've done it. I've done it. Fuck an eight. You know, I'm musk and whatever else. But no, I never dumped an ABS. Not yet. Oh. Give me a minute. Um, I noticed that you, uh, that you were commenting about the potential replacement of the CNN or, or not CNN is it 60 minutes post? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Apparently Joe Rogan's in the running to rape, uh, replace him. Is that true? I don't, I mean, I don't rate our online. I think it was the original source. I mean, I don't know where I originally came from, but I mean, basically like you say with the Anaconda choke. that's basically what CBS has been doing at 60 minutes. They're like an icon of choking it out. They're making people not want to work there who were there for the right reasons. I mean, there's been only a 58 fucking years. It's been the most profitable show at CBS. It's a show. It's not an old people show. It has the top 10 ratings every week for 50 fucking years now. And they're just making it not what it used to be. They're choking out what it what it's supposed to be about. And I mean journalism. Yeah, yeah, exactly. And like hold them people accountable. And that's like, and you know, media in this country, it's it's not it's not a coincidence in the last 10 years. People are really down right now. Journalism media. It's not perfect. We go, boys. Hey, hey, it's not perfect. It's it's not obviously, but it's essential in this country. You know, like you need to hold like whether it's a government or companies, you need things in people and companies and they need to be held accountable. And that's why we have a free press in this country. And I mean, I know we don't do that type of stuff, but we were under that same umbrella. And yeah, there's been 60 minutes that I watch. And I'm like, wow, that was unbelievable. I learned a lot about it. Like I just didn't know how deep it went and you asked me how long the show was. What's that? And hard to have. But, you know, look, I don't know what he says. He said, you asked me how long the show was. Yeah, 69 60 minutes. No, I get the joke. But anyway, I can know people Joe Rogan. I just, I just don't think that, you know, him, they, I dare him be on 60 minutes. It kind of makes me laugh a little bit. Like I mean, I know he's a curious guy. No one, I don't have any, I just think they should just left things as they were. But again, well, you should have such a strong opinion on it. You should think of a replacement. As opposed to Joe Rogan, for my point is, my point is, you know, they should, you know, leave say it's up fuck with 60 minutes. But again, this is, it's, it's, it's intentional. They, they're like, they're, you know, it's a, it's the one critical major like media thing. And it's getting like snuffed out. I mean, it's, it's thought that's not a left-right blue fucking green red thing. It's just, it's watching. It's just the people who are putting charges that are firing people who would zero experience. It's, it's, it's just like, it's a crazy time on this fucking place, man. Imagine R.A. gets the gig and it's like tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, and it just goes to him. He's like, damn it. No, that's when you got it. I was trying to get groceries at 902. I don't give a fuck your clothes at nine o'clock. They're saying even politics for real. But like, dude, hot the Biden is fucking been lighting up fucking Twitter this whole weekend. I guess he's joined on a couple of days ago. Have you seen any of that stuff? I saw that he roasted people. Okay. Dante, the dawn. Yeah. Yeah. He's been like, respond to everybody. But he's not, it's not, again, it's not like taking side. He's just kind of calling a spade a spade out there. But it's, I don't know. It's kind of made Twitter like a little entertainer like he used to be all the time. So, okay. But anyways, a couple more things here. I saw that movie pressure. They'll want to vote before D day, the weather guy we talked about it last week. Awesome. If you anybody out there looking for a movie for like an hour or 40 minutes, that's an awesome D day movie. It's like a perfect build-up rate before a saving prior Ryan and last but not least classic recommendation. The bad news biz, the original 1976 one of the best baseball movies of all time language. Maybe if you're soft, you might want to. Walter Mathau, right? Tatum O'Neill. Yep. Yeah. I was on with that, that K Adams, the other day. She's like a, like, I think she has a lot of work for the NFL. Yeah. A lot of shit. An interesting take. I, because I watched the Batman Rises and are the Batman Dark Knight. The Dark Knight Rises. And Dark Knight Rises. Is that the name of them? Yeah, that was the third one, yeah. I thought, I thought they were excellent. She says like, they didn't age well. And they were like a little bit cringey when watching them back on them, probably. I thought the Christian Bale back in these were, were fucking 10 out of 10. The Robert Pattinson Patman's awesome. It is, but no, the, I mean, it's like dark and more than the like a more. No, I like the Christian Bale ones better, but that Robert Pattinson one, I was like, oh, check it out. It's long and it was good. It's like that one, but that's almost like a murder mystery movie. It just happens to be a Batman movie, but like the, the Dark Knight and those, those movies have helped, definitely held up is. I mean, I know I was shocked to hear that horrendous take. And I actually thought going from the Joker with, with, with, with, with what he did, with Keith Leisure and what, and how he acted. And then to go into like, uh, Bane, the Bane character, how scary he was. I couldn't understand him, though. What? I couldn't understand him. Oh, because of the way the Bane ones, the best beginning to a movie, one of them of all time. Remember, they're in the jet. They're in the plane. Yeah. And he's like, want to jump out, right? Down with the wreckage brother. I might have just added the brother. Tom, Tom, he definitely did a couple cycles before that. Brother, man. He's like, one of us has to go down. I'll be a white, a white villain, like Gary Olben and True Romance blunt man. I'll dress like business giant fucking banana. Banana, I boys, cups been great so far. Love the chat. Enjoy the weekend.
