and I simply say I can't, I get upset. This is the first thing you need to stop saying, don't say, I can't avoid.
Please understand that there is nothing in the word that God sends us to do or not to do, that He did not give us the ability to do.
Wouldn't it be foolish if God told us to do this or not to do that, to go back to us and laugh at why we couldn't?
If God says that we should have a calm heart in perturbed ways, then we can have a calm heart in perturbed ways.
We can learn to do this and God will help us to do it. You will never have anything, you will never see any change in our lives.
You will never believe that we can have these changes.
And we don't solve all the problems at the same time. The Holy Spirit brings something and we work with the Holy Spirit in this, until there is liberation in this area.
I don't know, can it take a year? But the important thing is that you are making progress and that you are not just staying in the same place, always repeating the same thing, again, again, again, for the rest of your life.
At least get to the point where you say, I've already been there, I've done this, I didn't like it, so I won't go back and do it again, right?
I can't avoid it, Joel, if I worry, yes, actually you can, because God says to not worry, to take our care to Him is all about confidence.
If we trust Him more than ourselves, we can stop worrying about us.
I said that if we trust God, see, when we worry, we are saying, I will find a way to solve my problem.
I think I am very smart, that if I think about it for a long time, I will find a way to solve the problem.
Isn't that what we do? I believe that I can make a good plan here to get out of this mess.
We need to say, God, I am not smart enough to lead my life, and for sure it is my fault to be in this confusion at the beginning of the conversation.
I am sure I made so much stupidness that I don't even know what I did, so God, I need your help, I need your wisdom.
Show me what to do, because I don't know what to do.
The stress is caused more by what is happening inside of us than by what is happening around us.
Well, if I don't have this problem, if I don't have that problem, if I don't have this other problem,
I can tell you something with the maximum of love that I can express to some of you.
If you don't have a problem, they end up creating one.
I am telling you the truth. Now, there are some things that we have, and we need to face the fact that we have them,
and stop crying for things that we already have.
Peace! And I talked about it yesterday night, but I will go through some of these scriptures,
because there are about four scriptures in this series that I feel are extremely important that we understand.
So, John 14.27, Jesus said, "My peace, I leave it to you."
He left it. It is here.
"My own peace, now I give it to you."
Jesus said this to his disciples practically as one of the last things that he said.
He was leaving what he thought was one of the best things that he needed to give to them.
He said, "I leave it to you, or I leave it to my own peace."
And I did not give them as a gift to give.
They do not allow their hearts to be disturbed, they do not allow themselves to be afraid,
stop being disturbed and disturbed,
and they do not allow themselves to feel afraid, or to be intimidated, or disturbed, or worried.
Now, I love this because Jesus is saying, "Here is my part, and here is your part."
"I leave it to you, my peace."
When you are born again, the principle of peace comes to live in you all, say, "I have peace."
But now he says, "And why do you have this peace when these factors of stress come from outside against you?"
You should not allow yourself to be upset.
I cannot avoid.
You know, this is a phraseology that we need to eliminate in our language.
Stop saying, "I cannot avoid."
Never say, "I cannot avoid."
Just say, "When God is by my side, I can do what He tells me to do."
Because while we think that we cannot avoid,
we are going to stay in this situation of weak mind and let everyone go beyond us.
So say, "I have peace."
Now, another thing you have is Jesus.
Amen.
And in Matheus 11, 28, he says,
"Come to me, all of you who work and are overloaded,
and I will make you rest.
I will relieve and calm and refresh your souls."
You do not love this, I feel better just reading.
Matheus 11, 29, "Take my judgment on whether you have learned from me."
First he says, "Come to me, I will take care of your problem."
And we worship this part, yes.
Take everything away, Lord.
You know, people were so excited last night when I said,
"Because I would go teach here."
I want to say, this place exploded with joy.
But do you want to know?
They were a little more quiet.
As time passed and they discovered that I did not have a magic amulet
to make all their stress go away
and that what would happen was that they would come to Jesus
and that he himself would go teach them something.
Because they would be stressed
and that he would help them to make a change in their lives.
Are you with me?
Yes.
So this can prevent the devil from coming back.
If God did nothing besides rescue us
without ever learning anything,
how are we going to keep repeating the same things again and again
just with a different name?
Do you know that for your own children?
If you rescue them all the time, they will never learn anything.
So God is not on the edge of rescue.
He is on the edge of our redemption.
But he teaches us all.
The Holy Spirit was given to us
to be our constant companion in life.
Jesus says to his disciples,
"I will leave, but you will be better
because I will send the consoler to you."
And Jesus says this because he cannot be in many places at the same time.
But the Holy Spirit can work within and with each of us.
Every day of our lives, no matter where we are
or what we are doing,
He can be with each of us intimately and personally.
And He is the teacher.
So He does not rescue us.
He teaches us how to live in a different way
so that we may have the life
that Jesus died for us to have.
It is those who say that if you serve
God, all your problems will go away, they are lying to you.
Amen.
So you go to Him, He teaches you.
So everyone says, "I have peace."
"I have Jesus."
