They were in people's comment sections talking about how bad SNL is, how much it should be taken off the air, something that Donald Trump has said before. And so every Sunday when SNL is on and they make fun of Donald Trump, I like to cover it and start the day off with a laugh because even though everything is crazy right now, everything sucks in Donald Trump's America, we deserve to laugh a little bit. I'm kidding, I'm totally normal, I'm totally normal. Anyways, nice to meet you, Mayor Mamdani, excuse me, I'm just going to give them some, if you hurt him, I will end you. It's a, it's a really accurate Natalie Harp, isn't it? Let me go break this down for you further. Saturday Night Live just introduced its take on famous Donald Trump's sick of fan Natalie Harp, and it's terrifying. The iconic sketch comedy series kicked off its 50 second season on Saturday with a cold open opening featuring Trump played by James Austin Johnson, talking to New York City Mayor Zora and Mamdani played by returning guest, Rami Yusef, only for the two to be interrupted by an unsettling appearance from Natalie Harp. Quote Natalie, "I didn't realize you were in New York," Trump said. Harp, played by cast member Ashley Padilla, responded, "Giddyly, oh, I wasn't, I ran here from DC, weapons style." Harp is Trump's extremely devoted personal aid, as we know, they have this very weird relationship. Padilla leaned hard into the idea that Harp is obsessed with Trump, even doing an impression of the possessed villain from the hit horror movie Obsession, after making a series of unsettling faces Harp said, "I'm kidding, I'm totally normal, but neither Trump nor Mamdani seem to reassure." Harp has faced criticism not just for her intense loyalty to Trump, but also over her apparent influence on his decisions. On Sunday, the Wall Street Journal reported that Harp pushed Trump to go through with banning CNN, MSNOW, and Politico from the White House press pool. According to reports, she showed Donald Trump a video of somebody speaking badly about him on TV and advocated for this ban, and he went through with it. So obviously, she has some effect on White House policy and how Donald Trump does things, which is concerning. Harp drew further scrutiny in August when the Daily Beast published in full the bizarre intimate letters she wrote to Trump in which she says she's unworthy of him and also said, "You're all that matters to me." SNL's Harp proved to be just as devoted at one point she took you, Seth's Mamdani aside and told him with a scary smile, "If you hurt him, I will end you." And, of course, Mamdani seemed annoyed but largely unfazed, and this was a parody of the meeting that Trump just had with Mamdani. When Trump asked if he could stay with Mamdani in New York, the mayor replied, "Only if you give us $21 billion for a housing project in Queens." When Trump said, "No, Mamdani offered. What if I follow you back on Instagram?" Trump quickly replied, "It's a done deal," which almost seems like something that would convince Donald Trump in real life to do something for Zoran Mamdani because he just loves Mamdani. Like best friends, at least Donald Trump thinks they're best friends. Mamdani, on the other hand, is certainly not best friends with Donald Trump, but he's obsessed with Mamdani. I mean, there's all these different videos of him complimenting him. He said he's off to a great start as New York City mayor. This is the guy, by the way, that Republicans try to frame as a communist that's going to destroy America. Meanwhile, Donald Trump is over there like obsessing over Zoran Mamdani. It's quite the split screen. That's not where it stopped, though. That's not where SNL stopped making fun of Donald Trump because Colin Joast also took a job at Trump and his recent visit with Xi Jinping from China in the United States. Well, on Thursday, Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in DC for a state visit, and President Trump drove to meet him at the airport like a boyfriend with no job. Then Trump ordered military jets to do a flyover to project American strength. Let's see how that went. Look at the guy's face. That clip has gone viral, by the way, of Donald Trump standing next to Xi Jinping and Xi Jinping keeps his straight face as this military flyover is happening, which Donald Trump was doing in the first place to pretend to be this macho guy who's big and powerful and strong and very intimidating as American president, only for him to cringe as the planes flew by his head. So something, you know, some funny jokes made this side by side. But as I mentioned, Maga is not taking lightly to the segments that were on SNL last night, the skits. I read some of the comment sections of these videos that SNL posted, and here's one that really was just surprising to me. This was in response to Colin Joast, making that joke about Donald Trump. They said even this segment was awful as well as the rest of the show. NBC should cut back on the anti-Semitic crap. You have a lot of shareholders who don't like this nonsense. I don't know where they got anti-Semitic. I don't think SNL's anti-Semitic whatsoever. I don't think making fun of Donald Trump is anti-Semitic whatsoever. But that's the vibe that some Maga people in the comments are going with. I don't know. Here's another one from somebody who's also Maga and hates Mark Karnie. I was looking through their page. They were insulting Mark Karnie. They were insulting Democrats, you know, the whole nine yards. They said, wow, this is in response to the Natalie Harp episode or the skit. They said, wow, disappointing. What a dull show to open a new season with. Now I'm sure if SNL made fun of a bunch of Democrats, they would say this is fantastic. But since it's Donald Trump, they call it dull and they say it's boring and things like that. Here's another one. After the first 30 minutes, I turned it off. Not one funny skit. And you can imagine what's in this guy's bio. You see that right there? Maga, 2024. I wonder why he found it so boring and dull. I wonder why he had to turn it off after 30 minutes. But hey, he watched 30 minutes, you know what I mean? I guess he, he saw too many jokes about Donald Trump that were true, by the way. And he got to deeply upset. Here's another one. You admit saying worst impression of those two I've ever seen, pathetically unfunny. This person is also a Trump supporter, you know, no surprise there. No surprise there. Here's another one I thought that was just so crazy. Like it doesn't even make any sense. It's not a coherent sentence from this Trump supporter saying, quote, and I'm going to read this word for word. Get a new guy to play Trump. That guy, not only sucks are doing Trump. He sucks in every single skit he is in. Mamdani is from Uganda, and they spelled Uganda incorrectly, by the way. This is, you know, the Maga-based folks. They are not sending their best, isn't that right about these Maga people? But you know, SNL went in on Donald Trump. They went in on Natalie Harp. I'm glad they have a Natalie Harp character now. And I'm sure that she will be making some appearances in the future. Because Natalie Harp is always with Donald Trump. She's always making news because of her very, very weird connection with Donald Trump. But if you get the opportunity, I would highly recommend that you watch the entirety of these skits. I thought SNL was really funny. Jalen Bronson was also the host, so a fun time all around.
