In this episode I will teach you one, how to enter a restaurant and get a table. Two, how to order food and drinks. Three, how to ask for the bill and pay. I will also give you some useful words and phrases to help you. Are you ready? Let's begin. Entering the restaurant. When you go to a restaurant, a waiter or waitress will welcome you. They may say, "Hello. Welcome to our restaurant." Good evening. How can I help you? You can reply. "Hello, thank you." Good evening. Then they will ask, "How many people?" Table for how many? This means, "How many people are with you?" You can answer, "Just one plone. Two people please." Three people please. We have a reservation under the name, "Your name." If you book the table, then the waiter will say, "Follow me. Here is your table. Please sit here." You can say, "Thank you." Now you sit down and look at the menu. The menu has different sections, appetizers, small starters, main courses, big meals, drinks, water, juice, coffee, etc. desserts, cake, ice cream, etc. If you don't understand the menu, you can ask, "What do you recommend? What is today special? What is in this dish?" The waiter will explain the food to you. Ordering food and drinks. After a few minutes, the waiter will ask, "Are you ready to order?" Can I have a chicken sandwich, please? For drinks, you can say, "I would like a lemonade, please." Can I have a coffee, please? Do you have orange juice? The waiter may ask, "Would you like anything else? Would you like a side dish?" You can answer, "No, that's all. Thank you." Yes, I would like some fries, too. Then the waiter will say, "Okay, your food will be ready soon." You can say, "Thank you." Eating and asking for more. When the waiter brings your food, they will say, "Here is your food. Enjoy your meal." Here is your drink. You can say, "Thank you." If you need something, you can call the waiter by saying, "Excuse me." You can ask, "Can I have some salt, please? Can I get some more water, please?" The waiter will say, "Of course, here you go." Giving feedback. If you like the food, you can say, "This is delicious." The food is very good. If something is wrong, you can say, "Excuse me, my food is cold." I'm sorry, but I ordered chicken not fish. The waiter will help you, asking for the bill and paying. When you finish eating, you can ask for the bill. Can I have the bill, please? Can I get the check, please? The waiter will say, "Of course, here is your bill." You can ask, "Can I pay by credit card? Do you accept cash?" The waiter will say, "Yes, we accept credit cards." "Yes, you can pay with cash or card." After you pay, you can say, "Thank you.
