- I remember on our first date, it was during Christmas time, so all of my extended family and cousins were over, and they were all mega fans. So when he came to pick me up, I had to keep everyone inside. They were trying to run out and get his autograph. - Well, I couldn't come in anyways, 'cause I was on a knee scooter. I couldn't walk on our first date, so. - He wasn't supposed to drive. He drove us out. - That was my first time driving after I hurt my foot. It was a very chaotic first date, but it worked out. - That worked out me. I love it guys remember all the details too. - What was the timeline from the first date to getting engaged? - It was. - Almost a year, like 11 months. - Okay, yeah. - So it's so pretty quick, but. - I feel like in Utah, that's a long time. - I was just about to say. - Some of my friends that grew up in Utah were like, "Yeah, we met." - It wasn't measured in weeks. - Two weeks later, we got married, it was awesome. - That was crazy. - So that's good. So why 11 months? Why did you guys wait 11 months to get engaged? - I don't know, we were young. We were in a rush and it just felt like the perfect time for us and just trying to figure out. We wanted to date through every season, just to know we were making the right decision. It's a big deal. It's the biggest decision we'll ever make, and so. - I know, I mean, it's not scary. - And to make that while you're a teenager, it's crazy, right? 'Cause you were 19, when we-- - Yeah, I was 19 when we, I was like 19 when we met. - When you met? - I turned just turn 20 when we got engaged. - Like two months before. So yeah, it's a little scary. - Yeah. And I don't know why, in my mind, I'm like, I wanna be 21 when we get married. I'm close enough, like, just wait till after then. - Yeah, he always said that. Why do you have a specific age? That's weird. - I don't, we're just so close. I'm like, let's just cross that benchmark and we'll get married. - You know what's funny is my entire life, I always wanted to get older. I wanted to get to the age of 21. Like in my mind, that was the age when you could, yeah, you're already able to vote and you can drink and you can just like, people take you, I thought people would just take you seriously. And ever since passing 21, now I'm like, oh gosh, I'm getting old, oh, I'm afraid. Okay, let's get, oh, and so it's kind of fun. Do you feel, because you're right now, you're 22, right? - Yeah. - So how does that feel like, do you feel older? Do you feel, how do you feel your age? - I don't know, I still feel pretty young for my age, especially, I can't believe we were married over a year now and I still feel young, but I'm already ready for those next steps. So when are we having kids? You know, I've always been the person my family to just want things early in life. So I've always gravitated to do older people things and I don't know, I've always been an old soul and just wanting to do the next progression in life and keep things moving. - Well, you've been in your career already for a very long time. - Yeah. - You're like various hours, you're like kind of, like we're almost a part of the adult world, like as a young teen, 'cause you guys start the channel, you were 13? - Yeah, I was 13. - Okay. - Okay, so it blew up pretty quickly, huh? - Yeah, our first video has over 100 million views, so. - Goodness. - That's not most people's YouTube journey. Let's just put that out there for anyone that's like trying to grow on YouTube. - That was not our journey by any means. So that's pretty crazy. So with that type of like eyes on you at such a young age, like, did you go to regular school, like were you able to do normal things? - Yeah, so up until that point, I was going to normal school, but I was also full-time competitive in gymnastics. So even before YouTube, we were always very active. And my dad owns a martial arts studio, so I was already a second degree black belt by the time I was 13 and then I was doing competitive gymnastics. [email protected]. - And so when we started YouTube, it just, we were just even more busy. And so we started an online thing and I kind of did it online through a high school. And it's definitely different. I think every kid wishes for something they don't have and I didn't have the typical experience of going to school and maybe I didn't have as many friends as a lot of people did, but I wouldn't trade it for anything because I had a great life. And I have so many fun opportunities that comes with creating YouTube and doing things like that. So I wouldn't trade it, but it's definitely different. It's not the normal childhood experience. I would say. - Yeah, probably more like the life of like a child actor or like any child like prodigy in certain area. Like that's like high achieving. Did your parents both stay home then with you guys as you went through the rest of the school? - Yeah, I, family was always very, very important. I think our family's closer than a lot of families. Jade, sometimes I'm jealous because Jade has tons of friends, a great friend group, but like my family was so tight. And so she's like, hey, at least you have a really tight family. It's okay. It's just different pros and cons. I mean, she has a great family too, but they were always around. We always worked together. Even the martial arts studio, we would go together. My parents worked together at the studio. They worked together on YouTube. So they were always around. - Are you saying you didn't really, did you not really have friends outside of your family? - Yeah, we didn't have a lot of time. Like I do have friends, but not. But it wasn't like a priority in my life where I got to go hang out every single day. - Yeah, yeah. - Yeah, just different, different focuses, priority. We were out of town all the time. - Bizzying the princess, I believe. - Yeah, and sometimes when you're busy, friends will just assume you're busy and then stop. It's just a different experience. - Yeah, that's pretty amazing. I feel like the way that your parents navigated such a, they probably didn't have a lot of friends and they could call up and be like, "Hey, so when are kids go viral online?" And like have these amazing opportunities that no other, like there's not a large network of other parents to consult, but it seems like they did like a pretty awesome job of like keeping you guys grounded and rooted amidst a crazy lifestyle. - And did like, did the YouTube channel come first or did you start acting first? 'Cause I wanna say I saw when I was looking things up, you even had a stint in a movie, right? - Yeah, exactly. So we, this is a long story. So YouTube was supposed to come first. We went on a two month family trip because my dad wanted to start a family vlog channel. So we went to Costa Rica and pan him off for two months and we got burglarized. And so all of our camera gear, electronics, and my family, we did all right, but that was a huge setback financially and it was a big deal. And so when we got back from our trip, then they signed us up for acting and to do movies. So I did get into movies and that ended up coming first. And I was in a movie called The Last Straw. So it was a great time. And I think that definitely prepared us to what ended up happening. And I think if we would have started that family channel, we may not have ever started Ninja Kids. So everything happens for a reason, I guess. So it worked out, but yeah, we were trying to start a family vlog channel first. - And getting burglarized, do you remember the burglar, did you see them? - No, we didn't see them. We think we're staying at a house in Costa Rica and we think the people who own the house have something to do with how it happened. We don't know for sure, but when we left, someone came in and took everything, and then it was gone by the time we got back and it was just a very suspicious scenario. So we think it has something to do with the people who own the house. - Like the house didn't look broken into or anything. - Right, and it was like perfect. None of their stuff was taken or anything. All the stuff that was there, it was just our stuff. So it was a weird situation. - That is unfortunate. - Wow. - Why don't we even notice? - Yeah. - It's really quick. - Yeah, I don't know if that's been shared on YouTube. - I don't know if that has either, and your dad didn't start YouTube for what? Seven more years after that? - Well, that's 2012 and then we started in 2017, so. - Okay, so that's crazy. - Several years later. - What's your relationship with your parents? Was this like one of those situations where you got like the tiger mom and tiger dad who were like, give back out there and do your thing? Like, I don't know, I don't know what that, [BLANK_AUDIO]
It was a very interesting thing, if you ask any of my siblings, that's still probably one of their favorite family adventures ever. Just because it was the first time we had ever done something big like that. So it's very monumental in our minds. And I think my dad was quiet for like two or three days. And we all knew it was a sad thing. My mom would take us. I think she took us to go do surf lessons while my dad was coping with all the lost items. But then after a couple days we still had a month or a month and a half left of our trip. And so we were deciding if we'd go home or not. And my dad said, "Hey, let's finish out the trip and let's have a great time." And now I don't have work to do, I have time to spend with all of you guys. And then one of our next locations, we were out at night and there were a bunch of people on their work computers working while they were in this beautiful tropical paradise. And it was almost a silver lining. He was just able to say, "Hey, I'm just here with my family, enjoying it." And so it turned out into a really great thing in the end. But it was the first few days right after was not a lot of talking happened. But after that it was a great trip. And I was only eight. And then my action was six and then the twins were four. So we were all really young. Oh, goodness. We all ended up being great time. That's sweet. It turned around, for sure. Jade, what was the first year of your relationship like, while you guys were dating? Because you didn't get engaged for 11 long months. Oh, it was the best. We are so similar that we stayed so busy. We went to Egypt and Finland in Paris. What? And Dubai. Where else did we go? We went all over and that's just my dream. And so we got to go and make some videos together and it was so busy. Yeah. And I was happy that she was someone who was excited about my life to be a part of it. Because other people I've dated weren't necessarily as excited about those certain aspects. And so it would have just been a completely different life if I was doing it on my own rather than having someone that wants to do it with me and travel and make content. Yeah. Was that like a question on the first day of like, hey, are you okay with being public and having this crazy life? I don't know if it was a first date question, but I think it was an important thing to me when it came to getting married that I needed someone like that. And she was the perfect person because she always wanted to do content creation. She's never got into it on her own. So it was a perfect segue for her life. That's cool. At what point was it like, okay, we're not married, but we're going to be like a couple online. When we got engaged. Okay. Yeah, that's pretty much it. We were getting ready. Yeah. We tried to keep it pretty chill and then we got engaged. We're like, let's make videos. Let's make a channel together. That's awesome. Yeah. How do you ever made any videos on the internet? No. And so I would have for fun a little bit with my friends and I was younger. Just because I thought such a meeting was awesome, but it's scary to start. I'm sure you guys know that too. It's just scary to put yourself out there and everyone could judge you. And so I was in a very different path. I was going to dentistry. And so very different. You're saying you have amazing teeth. Oh, thank you. That's cool. That's so nice. Thank you. That's so cool. You're into dentistry. Yeah. So I loved it. I went into trade school walls also in high school and I did oral surgery assisting. And so that's actually another story. That's how people think that we met because that was my first time on camera. Ashton, his brother came in and I took his wisdom teeth out. And so, but that was my first time on anything and that was, that was a big thing. Everyone thought that's how we met that I was Ashton's nurse. That's funny that you mentioned that because I saw somebody mentioned something about how you guys met with you getting your wisdom teeth right here. Yes. So I went back to watch the wisdom teeth video, but I didn't, I didn't see anything about you. Wait. Now. So I'm an assistant, but I was in the surgery and I helped most of the time. I'm not the surgeon, but it was just me and the surgeon the whole time. So yes, I saw his wisdom teeth and everything. Oh my gosh. So me and Ashton are tight. It's his brother. I didn't even take his out to get his brother's out. That's brother's. So that's probably why you didn't see it. It's on his, his brother Ashton's channel. Got it. Okay. But yeah, that was the first time I was on camera. So you can see me in the background count on nervous because I'm not as supposed to be in it, but. Yeah, but we kind of talked about it and we're like, hey, she's cute. She had never been announced on social media. So it wasn't a full, hey, this is my girlfriend. Oh, did you kind of tease it, though, in the video? Yes. Where did you like joke about like, oh, I think we should go on a date to tell him. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. Exactly. He was like, I should get the nurses number. I think it should get her back to you. And so people know we've told our real like how we met, but people just assumed that's how we met because I hadn't met on from video anywhere. Got it. Okay. Yeah. You know, it must get confusing with people us making, yeah, making assumptions. Obviously, you guys. We tease it. We tease that. We tease that there. But like, has there ever been like an assumption someone's made other than that? That was just completely incorrect. Yes. Yeah. All the time. What's yours? Everyone thinks I'm pregnant all the time. All the time. Hi. I don't, I think they just want us to have babies. I think. I'm hoping that's why and I'm hoping it's not because I look pregnant. There is a YouTube channel that posts fake thumbnails of our family all the time and- They hit good views on the videos. So it's been posted and they've seen thumbnails of it. So they feel like it's really, you know, that's not us. Interesting. Are these AI thumbnails about Jade being pregnant? Exactly. A lot of times. Sometimes I'll have twins. Sometimes it's just one baby. Yeah. But it's kind of a big problem with my whole family. Yeah. I mean, shocking or even things that make us look bad or something, these channels will be like, this happened. Click on this video and the thumbnail's crazy. And obviously it never shows anything like that, but- Yeah. But it's kind of scary. They can get confusing. Yeah. Sometimes it's sister. They get in a huge accident or patron almost dies is what they say. Yeah. My siblings die all the time. Yeah. And people message us like, are your siblings okay? Yeah. And yeah, it's a big deal. I don't know why people do that. But just a couple weeks ago we were at a meet and greet thing and one of the parents said, congratulations, dad and aunt uncles to my siblings as if you saw kids and I didn't correct her because it was so quick. Yeah. But I figured she just assumed Jade was pregnant because of those videos. Yeah. It seems like your audience is very obsessed with the idea of you guys having kids. Definitely. Is that something that you guys see down in your future? Yeah. Not right now. I don't think it's something we need to rush, but I'm excited for kids and I want to be a young dad. So I could see it in the next couple of years. Maybe sooner. I don't know. We'll see. I think I'm probably more on board than she is as of right now. That's funny. Oh yeah. I would love to be a young parent and have lots of kids. It's just scary to move to that next step. That's a big deal. There's a lot more physical on her and so it's easy for me to say I'm ready. You're like, yeah, let's do it. Yeah. You're like, well, wait a minute. I don't have to go through it. This is a lot. 100%. Well, then you get to the next stage, which is actually taking care of a living, breathing, little, mini human and you aren't getting sleep and so that's like, I think becoming a parent was probably the biggest change that I've ever been through, like ever, and I feel like that's probably, I think a lot of people would probably say the same thing. Well, I'm curious because we got married the same age as how long did you guys wait? We waited three years. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Good amount of time. Well, no, we started trying after two and we, and Griffin was born after three. Yeah. A little after two. Because our oldest turn is about to turn four and we're about to celebrate seven years. Well, he wasn't born. We didn't have the baby until three years. Okay. Yeah. Like literally exactly three years. I don't even know what year. What do you mean? What? He was born July 3rd. Yeah. Our anniversary was July 6th. Yeah, yeah. He was born like right after three years. Oh, wow. Yeah. Right after three years. Yeah. It's almost perfect. That's awesome. Yeah. We just have to wait another year before you get pregnant or something like that. Okay. Yeah. Okay. If you guys want to copy us. Yeah. I think it's a good timeline. Yeah. We also did date a while like before we got married in three years before. Okay. Yeah. That season of newlywed like life is so memorable like we talked about it literally every day. Like we did this. Yeah. Just because that stage of life is just so it's so busy. You're doing so many like mountain top things like because you can do things at a faster pace than with kids you slow down like what was your first year of marriage? First of all, wait, I need to ask about the wedding. There was a massive wedding. It was awesome. We had the best wedding ever. It was a party. Yeah. It was. We wanted to be a party and it was a party. I don't know. We probably had six or seven hundred people there. Wow. Yeah. We didn't expect that either. We just sent out invites to whoever of our friends and then everyone showed up. I was shocked. How'd you feed that many people? We ran out of food. Oh. Oh, you did. Yeah. We didn't have a full meal for the reception. Okay. We had lunch in right before. Right. With like the close. It was 175 people. Okay. We fed all those people a real dinner and then we had this massive jumbo shark food reward that was supposed to feed that many people. I think it was supposed to feed.
We had 500, but we had more. - We had a lot more than that. - Yeah. - Wow. - It was fun. - Goodness. - We don't know that many people. - Yeah. - I didn't even think either it must be him, 'cause I didn't think I did either. He's like, "I have no idea." (laughing) - Who paid for the wedding? - It was, so my parents were in charge of mostly, mostly the wedding, and then his parents were awesome and wanted to pay for the flowers and the honeymoon. - No. - So it was kind of split. It just depended. - It's probably pretty even honestly. - It's probably actually spent. - But it was our parents. - Most couples were moving towards that now. - Right. - Yeah. - We're both the oldest, so we didn't really know how to do it, and so our parents just talked to each other. We just figured out what everyone feels comfortable with. - Yeah. - Sweet. - But are your families both pretty close? - I would say so. - They're friendly. (laughing) They don't go out every weekend, but every once in a while. - Yeah, that's fun. Are your siblings close? - Yes. - I ask 'cause our family is just abnormally close. - Are they? - They're like, people that are not even necessarily related or just all considering everyone's family. - Wait, that's sweet. - Yeah. - So cute. - Our siblings are actually really similar ages in opposite genders, so we keep trying to have our siblings date. - Yeah, we're trying to say. - Always. - So we had my sister and his brother in a video and the whole video, we kept pushing them close, so we're like, "You guys should date, you guys are cute." - We keep trying. - They probably won't happen. - They've never been on a date. - No. - No, they haven't. - 'Cause you could have double cousins. - I know. - That would be kind of cool. - And I have another brother and his sister, we keep trying to set up, but it's not working out. - But they're so fun. - That would be really fun. - But then our little brothers are tight. They hang out all the time. - That's cute. - The 12-year-olds. - The 12-year-olds. - That's really sweet. The fact you have 12-year-old little brothers is so crazy to me. - I know. - Our kids are like, almost four. - Not a big difference. - Question for you guys. So you guys got married in the temple and then did a reception afterward. - Yeah. - That's kind of the norm in Utah, right? Like that's, 'cause I think usually, at least like I'm from Missouri, everyone just gets married once. Could you explain for somebody that doesn't know like why the two weddings, why the two events? - Yeah, that's a great question. We, it didn't used to be a normal thing because the reception, the second wedding, where we do a normal ceremony, isn't an official wedding at all. We're not getting married. It's just for fun, honestly. - Okay. - Because everyone's seen the movies and they're like, "I wanna walk down the aisle." Like my parents and most people, our parents' generation never did the second wedding thing. - Yeah. - 'Cause more of a newer thing because people want to experience that. - And you might not. So also in the temple when we got married, that's when you officially are married through the state and we believe you're getting sealed in the temple together for all eternity. But a lot of people that aren't members can't go in the temple. And so he has a lot of family and I have a lot of family that couldn't go in. - So he was still one of them to be part of the ceremony. - Right. - Can you take pictures in there too? - No, just outside. - So then is that another benefit then too is that you get like traditional wedding pictures. - Right, exactly. - That's cool. - So your parents do they have wedding pictures or no? - Yeah, just outside the temple. - Yeah, just like the beautiful castle looking temple. You should just take it outside. Yeah. - But that's mainly why. Just because people want that experience, even though you're not actually getting married. - Yeah. - Okay. We did ton of ramen. - Yeah, hot pot, cream barbecue, typhoon. - What about our, do you have a, just a bit of, I can't talk to you now. Do you have a, a swig order that, like, is your go-to? - We don't drink soda. Goodness, you guys are, - I don't know. - Yeah, I literally not hitting any stereotypes. - I know, we shouldn't live in Utah 'cause we don't go any tiny of the drink places. - I don't love that people normalize. - I don't like dessert for breakfast. And so, that's just not something I do. - You are a black belt, so you probably eat two for healthy, yeah, you're fit. - Yeah. - I was at the gym. - Yeah, we, I try not to eat junk food. (laughing) And so. - Yeah, I can go for some, like, French toast, you know. That's my favorite, but we still just, for breakfast, we eat chicken rice. - I think it's great. - I think it tastes great, but people just don't realize they're literally eating dessert for breakfast. - I eat three. - It tastes good. - Yeah. - Okay, all of my stereotypes about, like, that I just made a bunch of assumptions and I was so off. What is it? - Most of the time, you're so right. - Okay. - What is it that people get wrong about Utah? What's, like, an assumption that people are just-- - I don't even know if people get it wrong or I think we're just weird. - Oh my God. - I think they pretty much nailed it. - Yeah. - You guys nailed it. Like, everyone I know drinks like-- - We don't drink soda, which is weird because most people do, and the fact that I don't and she doesn't just-- - And they don't drink coffee, right? - Right. - So, no caffeine. - No. - No, we drink caffeine sometimes. - What's what? - Like, you, the drinks we have this morning. - Sometimes they work with brands and they're really clean ingredients and they have, like, some type of natural caffeine. - Oh, nice. - And I love that stuff, but I don't know. I don't know why we haven't had to live off of caffeine yet. - No, it's definitely not a need. I feel like, everyday, but I'll drink it if the drink's good, not too crazy. - But it's funny. - You guys don't have a swig in Arizona, do you? - Oh yeah, I do. - And our neighbors designed the swig logo. - Oh, dang. - So that's where I claim the fame. - So that's pretty cool. - Right, yeah, it lives down the street from us, so pretty, pretty cool stuff. Okay, so you get married, that was a year ago. Life's been crazy since, right? You guys have been doing a lot of travel. I saw you guys went to Beastland and Saudi Arabia. Can you tell us about what the past year is consistent of? - We went to Beastland and Saudi Arabia, and it was so cool. We've been hired out to go to Dubai the last few years, and so it was just a quick hop away to Saudi Arabia, which is why we had to stop by. But we've been going to Dubai the last few years. They've been hiring us out to do some shows, and so yeah, that's been really fun. They build a Ninja Kids Action Park on the beach every year. - What? - They've got this big billion dollar event in Abu Dhabi. It's the MOTN festival, Mother of the Nation event, and then they always build a Ninja Kids Action Park and fly us out to their farm. - This is a temporary action park they build. - Yes. - It's not a permanent one. - No, a temporary one, and it's a huge thing. They have tons of other things on the beach too. It's like a mile long, maybe not that long, but tons of fun things.
Who is the business partner that's like helping with the action park? I think it's just the government. (laughing) The government, the government funding. The tourism, like their tourism board does a lot. They're trying to compete with Dubai, because Abu Dhabi and Dubai, they're an hour away from each other, same country, and they're the biggest competitors. And so they're just trying to all one up each other. We had to hop over a sea beast world or beast land while we were in there. And it was cool, I think Jimmy did a great job with beast land. And the people there loved it and the culture loved it. I think it was great for the forest. It's temporary, right? Yeah, it's not. Just for like going two months or something, yeah. Have you met Mr. Beast? I have met him. No way! Uh-huh, I've met Jimmy. He worked with him. Kind of. So basically I did a video on my channel. I flew out to his first beast burger location. Okay. And we got to go in the back, we met him for a little bit, and then I asked if I could just work the beast burger line, because there was like 20,000 people waiting for burgers that day. So I had, I got to help sell some merch and just hang out with the guys for a little bit, and it was a fun time. This was at the first like actual physical location that they opened? The American Dream Mall. And actually, at the American Dream Mall, the owners of the mall came up to the US because his kids were subscribers to the channel. And they're like, "Hey, we want you to put a trampoline park or something in our mall." So now we have an action park because I wanted to go to Beast Burger. Now we got an action park. How many action parks are there? I think there's 12 or 13 locations fully branded, but there's about 20 in process of being switched over from other trampoline parks or being built. Like, so there's about 30. The ATR. That's the local one, that's called the local park. I think we have one there. Yeah. Okay. There are many ninjas class. Our kids are many ninjas class, so they're kids. Absolutely. You love it. That's so cool. That's so cool. But yeah, it's trampoline zipline slides, so we do all sorts of things. That is so fun. We're actually going to the first opening out of the country in Scotland. I think this year is the first out of the country action park. That's what they're doing. It's just crazy. That is so cool. Do you ever get sick of your family? We spend a lot of time together. They're great, and we're going to do so much fun things, but it's a lot more time than most people get to spend with their family. They do so good compared to thinking about, yeah, I'm impressed that they don't fight. Yeah, we have a great family dynamic, so it works, but I just don't know if life's mess. I don't know if you're supposed to be around your family 24/7 like we do. So sometimes it's a lot, but we love it. We've had a break. We haven't done much in the last few months, and so we're going to go on tour, and it'll be fun. That's really cool. Yeah. Growing up on a family channel, were you getting paid at the time, or did you have some sort of equity stake in the family business? How does that work? You're still operating, doing shows, touring with ninja kids? How did all that get worked out? It's a great question, I do have an equity stake in the company, and also we get paid from the tours and things, but when I was a kid, it was a little bit different because we mainly got paid, we started our own personal channels around the same time, and we mainly got paid from those, and so our channel has obviously got really successful as ninja kids grew, and so it was kind of as we were working on our own stuff, and a lot of times something would happen, and they'd even throw videos onto our channels, and so then we would make most of the revenue off our own personal channels, which all kind of grew as we worked on ninja kids and the kids channels, so it all kind of worked out that way. Wow. Okay, so then basically every kid within Ninja Kids has their own dedicated personal channel. Yeah, and it was almost like we were collaborating when we'd come together, and then for big things and big events, we always get paid for those percentage, but that's how it mainly went for the YouTube videos. We would just collaborate together, and then some people would make the money for that video, and some people would make the money for that video, just whoever's channel would go on pretty much. Is it true that you guys lived with your in-laws for like a little bit after you got married? It has newlyweds. Yeah, newlyweds. Tell me about that. Yeah, living with your in-laws has newlyweds. I want to hear from your perspective. Yes, we did, so we got married, and about a month after we got married, we went on a tour for 12 weeks, and we lived on a bus with my in-laws. Yeah, it was awesome. Honestly, I was a little nervous going on this thing with all of-- 12 weeks is a really long time. I had never gone anywhere that long in my life. Where are you going from? Like from what city to what city? So we had 50 cities across the U.S., so we didn't leave the country, but we went to basically every major city in the country. Okay, we have 50 cities, 12 weeks, how many days is that? You're doing a show, multiple shows a week. Five shows a week. Wow. Yes. So it was-- were you in the show? I wasn't. I worked behind the show, so their dog is also in the show. I was in charge of their dog. Cute. So we were here all the time, and I helped you get on and off stage, and then I also worked the VIP in meet and greets because I wanted to be a part of it too, and so-- That's cute. I worked with that, and it was so fun. Yeah. And we were also on a different bus than my family, so we had two buses. Yeah. There were two big buses. And each bus had a room in the back, like the suite. And so we took the suite of the crew bus, because we were the only other couple. Yeah. And then my family was on the other bus. With a couple nights, we would go over there to play games with my siblings and stuff, but-- You played something again. Cute. Yeah, so we had a good time. But for the most part, we were on a different bus. Wow. We made it a little more manageable, because during the day, it's not like we were just with them the whole time. We had our own space to sleep in a full room and stuff, which helps. Yeah. But it honestly was awesome. It was way better than I expected. True. I actually got really close with his siblings. It was just a once in a lifetime opportunity. I've never thought I would go on tour. And so I actually thought it was great way better than I expected. Yeah. Yeah. Like, are you sleeping while the bus moves? Yes. So we never knew where we were going to end up usually. We just would go to bed and wake up in a new city. And it was great. But yeah, it got rocky some nights, especially going through the mountains or wherever we were driving it. People would get carsick sometimes and wake you up because you're shaking so bad. Yeah. But you get used to it, I feel like. You can't use the bathroom on the bus. You can't shower on the bus. You can go number two. Oh, yes. The number one rule is you can't go number two, is what they always say. Yeah. I don't know why. But. Did anybody ever go number two? I don't think so. They said it was like a $500 fine or something. Well, some people got sick and they threw up in there and they got in trouble for that. I feel like what do you do? I know, because no, like where do we go? Oh, yeah. Okay. Yeah, that's one of those things you don't think about. I feel like I was like growing my exercise in this bus a little bit and now I'm like, no, it was terrible. And the first leg, we got lucky because my parents bought some out so bad. You're in. And they got it. Yeah. Yeah. It smells so bad. Something wrong with the pipes broken. So our bus was totally normal and their bus, they couldn't hang out in the family room area. Um, we had a little. But they were so sick. Yeah. We had a little break in between and then we went back out on tour and their bus was much better. That's when we were able to go and play games, but I kind of felt bad for them those first few weeks. They kind of sticky bus. Just picturing an entire herd of like little children doing like ninja moves while watching you guys perform, is that what, what is that what this looks like? Kind of. It was really fun. You should. Are we coming to Arizona this next? No, I think we're saying the East Coast because it's a much shorter tour this year. It's only two weeks. Yeah. Really quick. We'll travel. I mean, they would love. We could get you to see their ninjas. They think they're ninjas. It's so awesome. That's. Except I can't say ninjas. They say engines. Yeah. Are young. Instead of calling it mini ninjas, he calls it mini engine, oh, that's actually where they're having their birthday party. I'm giving away to it. That's not that. Oh, no. No, no, no. Yeah, we don't. It is actually the coolest show. You would think you would go and it's just like a little kid show, but it's a full storyline scripted show. I've watched it. What? Over 50 times now. And it's actually so entertaining. You guys would love it. We've had many parents come up to us and just be like, I didn't expect to come with my kids and enjoy it. Yeah. We do a lot of fun stuff, acrobatics type things, and then it's very interactive with the kids, which is fun. That's so cool. Your parents were always entrepreneurs, right? Because if they started this martial arts gym, like, so they had the, like, the base knowledge of, like, how to run something like this, but I'm sure they never intended on it becoming what it has become, like their size. That is pretty wild. That's pretty cool. So everyone in your family did have to be a ninja, I guess, apparently. Pretty much. Yeah. So family where all of them have the most insane skills you show, but everyone's just hucking backflips and spruly. Can you do a backflip? I'm learning. I work out. I can do it on the trip. We just made a video where he taught me to do a backflip in, like, four hours on the ground. And I face planted a few times. I face planted a few times, but I got it. I got it a couple other times. Cute. But they're just a very athletic skilled family. I think that's sweet. You're, like, trying to learn the family training. Yes. You're like, you're like, you're doing. I got a couple of. Okay. Here we go. This hasn't been announced yet, but we. are going to be in the circus this year, they called us and they want us to come do a couple shows and what is it, what's this one called? It's called the biggest circus, ring b or something? Rick and no, it won't have to look at it, I don't remember what it's called. Ringling Brothers. That's amazing. We're going to be on the Ringling Brothers circus, so that would be a good time. You guys need to do a residency in Vegas. The Vegas show. No, actually for real. But wait, maybe that's not it. Maybe that's family friendly in Vegas. Yeah, maybe Branson. But maybe it'd be good to have a family friendly show in Vegas, because the Hollywood family is going to Vegas. Hold up, no, this is where your resident would be. Branson, Missouri, is like, if you guys heard of Dollywood in Tennessee, so Branson has a very similar vibe to that. There's Silver Dollar City, which is actually owned by the same company that owns Dollywood, but there's just a ton of different country music artists. There's also like a lot of family performers. Family performers, like family singer groups, just all sorts of family shows. That would be like Branson, Missouri, would love you guys. Branson would love you. Yeah, exactly. They see you in public. I mean, I always get the question. The pregnancy question. When are you having kids? When is the next ninja babies? They always ask me that. But with a ninja baby, they always say ninja 2.0. That's funny. One thing they always ask, my family stopped making content for a long time. And so they haven't made videos on ninja kids for a couple of years and ninja fam has been over a year. They'll ask about that and we're mainly the only ones making consistent content. So there's been talks about revamping ninja fam. I've also, there's been talks of revamping ninja kids and there's a chance I'll be like a producer and ninja kids to create the content and bring on a new generation of ninja kids because we'd love for this ninja kids to be a brand that grows well beyond our family. That's cool. It wasn't meant to be a family channel. Even from the first video, we had tons of other actors in it. Okay. And I was, I was the main character. I was like a bully and then there were several other power Rangers. And so it was meant to be a brand that could, you know, rival Disney one day. And so the action parts is like the first step to that. And so the goal of ninja kids is to create content with future kids, which there's a lot of really talented kids out there. And we want to give those kids a chance to shine. And I think they use to have a chance in Hollywood, but that it's gone pretty much. Hollywood doesn't need people who are really good at stuff anymore because CGI is really good. All the old martial art actors are like the last one was, you know, who was Shark Boy. I forgot his name. He was in twilight. Oh, I watched it. Taylor louder. He's great. But you don't count his name like that. What was it? Louder, louder. I learned that for you guys. So I continue. But Taylor Louder, he was like the last person that was really skilled to get into that world. And it's not really a thing. And so we'd love to give more kids opportunities and then to grow the brand into something that out that lives for a long time. Yeah. I can already see a show coming out of this. Honestly, finding the next Ninja kids. Yes, exactly. I think that was so cool and fun to try out for the new Ninja kids. That's a really great idea. I like that. We want Ninja kids to keep going. It's got huge potential. And so finding great kids is honestly the easy part. It's finding great adults to run the content. And my family and my dad, we, there was so much happening and so much going on that we couldn't keep everything up. So we're trying to build the team from the bottom up to potentially restart the content to bring you back to life. I'm confused though, because okay, two things. One, I looked at the Ninja kids channel. I saw that you guys posted nine months ago. Was that like a collab? It's probably a compilation. Oh, okay. Yeah. Okay, that makes sense. And then the other question I had is, did you leave? I thought I saw a video that was like, I left. I'm gone from the Ninja fam. Right. That was probably when I left on my mission. Oh, okay. So there was like an, I'm leaving. I think it was after those you, it was like shopping for a house. Oh, yeah. I'm leaving the Ninja fam house. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. So that's what it would have been. That was on my channel actually. But it also was because there was different Ninja kids. You guys aren't kids anymore. Right. And so you guys said other people acting on Ninja kids TV. And so you kind of was like, I'm going to focus on my main. We actually did try that. We did a talent search. Yes. And the talent search was really successful. Because we're awesome. It did well. But that was also when we were handing off not just new kids, but new creatives and the creatives just didn't have what it took to keep the brand going. And so my dad just shut it down until we can find creatives who can continue new kids. But yeah, left the Ninja fam moved out of the house. That was just before we got married, I moved into an apartment with a friend. And so that was that video was going on your mission. Was that was that humbling? Was that like to just to go from being on camera a lot and you know, people recognizing you. I'm sure you still got recognized for your mission. But yeah, to go and like commit yourself to service. Was that kind of like a hard shift to get used to? I I loved it honestly because I I'd been doing YouTube since I was a kid. Okay. And it was it was honestly the perfect time in my life. I just became an adult. It was the perfect time to leave and go experience something else. Yeah. Rather than what I grew up in. It wasn't just me being a YouTuber. It was about it was time to go be selfless and see what the rest of the world is like. Yeah. And of course, I still had a lot on my mission. I did get recognized. I did a couple assemblies and things like that. I just see a video that was cute. So that was fun. To explain that for people that don't know what you're talking about. Like, what is what is this an assembly that you did? Right. So in one of my areas that I was in, there was a school teacher and she she knew about the ninja kid stuff and she was like, hey, you should come to my school and do an assembly at the school. And so I think that was a really cool opportunity. My mission president just needed you to get special permissions. Yeah. So basically the leader of the mission. I called him up and he said, that's fine. He was a big fan of using your talents. And I didn't go up and preach. We didn't talk about the church at all. Okay. I had a name tag on. But besides that, it basically wasn't mission related very much. I just went up. I did a few flips, talk to kids. Ninja kids is a great thing for family values, which align well with religion and Christianity. And so it was more about being a great person and showing respect to your parents and that definitely comes from our martial arts background as well. So we were able to share some of those things. We did some challenges with the kids at the school. And I think it was super cool opportunity. That's really sweet. That's cool. Okay. I'm just so curious. This is such a dumb question. But martial arts versus Taekwondo versus Karate. What is is martial arts? Both of those is what's the I had that same question. I don't know. I didn't know because I need to sign some kids up. So martial arts is I'm sure you've heard MMA. So mixed martial arts mixed meaning basically all different styles. You're learning different styles. So it's Karate Taekwondo. And so I did martial arts. Our base was. take window but we did jujitsu grappling, moitai and all of those things are kind of different and so martial arts is just enveloping all the different fighting styles together basically and learning those things so take window is more traditional like forms and it's very and I like to watch you do MMA boxing yeah yeah have you fought somebody before have you ever like punched somebody in the face so I've done sparring with full gear I've never been in a street fight or anything I don't know why as a kid I always kind of wanted to I'm not the kind of person to hop into a fight but I always felt like I do pretty good but I did do sparring um especially as a kid I did a lot of sparring and that was a fun time I feel like he would get sucked to get punched in the face broken nose oh yeah you probably had some serious injuries yeah I've broken ten bones oh how well it's crazy stuff all the different things that's a great okay let's see I've broken my collarbone this was Christmas Eve sledding into a tree not ninja related I don't think any of them are ninja related nothing too crazy I mean this one was gymnastics I broke my elbow so I was vaulting I don't the the event the vault and I was just doing around off it was a simple thing it was just kind of hyper extended oh yeah bed the other way yeah oh I've broken both my wrist I've broken my knee some fingers are sentos and I don't know yeah ten little couple other things yeah luckily I haven't had anything huge I've never needed a major surgery um and so nothing's done by a deadly jellyfish true I did see that thumbnail that looked pretty intimidating yeah deadly yeah so it was a Portuguese manor and they they can be was it in Hawaii it was a Mexico yeah okay that happened to Abby she got it she got stung by a Portuguese manor yeah we think we that's what all all of our neighborhood local kids were like that's what that is they told us it wasn't super bad but it was not good yeah yeah I peed on it I know no he did not and also it was I didn't get some bad but yeah but still it's not fun yeah it did not feel good and I never felt like my life was in danger luckily but it was really painful I got stung on the calf and something about how it works it just goes up your nervous system and so it hurt really bad and my groin and then like all the locals were spraying with Windex apparently that helps the and I feel like yeah yeah but the best thing was jumping in the hot tub that was that kept the pain from spreading and I don't know if it would have ever been a permanent thing or actually harmful but it was really painful and hour or two that's freaky in her in Mexico you're kind of like okay what do we do yeah I didn't want to go to the hospital if I knew it too what are the craziest things you guys have traveled a ton already where are some of the craziest things that can be skydived have you we have gone skydiving I would say for me the craziest thing we did we flew to London for the weekend and we went wing walking do you guys know what that is oh my gosh oh my god I think so but describe it to me yes you're literally strapped on the top of an airplane while it's flying it was crazy and we did a loop the loops while I was on top of the airplane it was so cool it was crazy I thought my face was gonna follow yeah do all that stuff before you have how do you look because I think afterwards my fear has gotten so much as I do the loop I don't understand like like the plane the plane is strapped on and it goes you're oh so they the plane goes up and yeah I would not have thought this was a London excursion so it's actually shut down here oh yes why do you get shut down here cuz it sounds so right so the main guy that did it here in the U.S. did something really dangerous with two I think it was his grandkids they were like 11 years old and he had them not strapped in he just had them hold on to the part of the plane while he did a loop de loop and brought him back down so they didn't fall I don't know how they held on to the plane I have no idea I heard you I don't think so I do something where a parachute when you do this no no how are you not good harness and you just stand at no I'm worried a parachute you tell your parents before you did this or did you just do it they're all on board my parents I don't think I told to raise my different people their parents are adrenaline junkies they're crazy awesome my parents my mom gets really nervous we tell her mom after we do my mom is this kind of soul but yeah she was a little nervous so I just don't tell her things until after so like I got super certified and she was stressed after I told her that yeah what she say about wing walking oh I don't even know I can you ever she tries not to react she tries to pretend like she's cool but it really stresses her out but I need some one of my life that keeps me like that but she cares a lot yeah I'm scared I've certified so I took her skydiving yeah and so we went and that was a fun time that's so cool yeah and we like she got scuba certified for our honeymoon and we went scuba diving with sharks sharks that made me nervous yeah it turned up great oh that's awesome okay we did ask her audience to submit some questions for you guys okay and if it's okay the first one is from Lizzie she said what was your first big argument and marriage oh our first big argument we never argue I can't even think of one um first thing I couldn't tell if you were no we're pretty good but you know everyone has something I can't do can you think of a first big argument well when I was watching the Brock and Boston one Brock and Kessley I related to the toilet paper being the wrong way she puts the toilet paper on wrong wrong that which way does she put it on towards the wall you know what I mean so like oh she doesn't do it on purpose that's not why she prefers she just doesn't think about it like I did oh you just put it on yeah I just said the direction I don't even put it on the wall what are you you sometimes you know put a rush if I'm scrambling I'm like oh no we're out there no time by the way it's it's a lot of work to put that thing on there it's true but getting used to living with someone where you're obviously we have a lot of similarities but we're inherently different one example I'm a lot more introverted than she is she's more extroverted most people don't know that because you grew up on YouTube but it's it's a skill I've had to grow and so she's always like feels like I'm never responding to her when I'm like I just I'm not talking right now I don't feel like I need to talk and she's always talking and it's just it's just a different life experience getting to learn and grow together yeah really learning and different personality yeah it's been really fun but different have different times that you both are wanting to go to bed because I feel like that was a major hurdle that we still we finally resolved but that was like he was like such a night out I was like it's time for bed like what are we doing here like did you feel like that was a heart or were you guys already aligned that's better to go into one of our best things we're very aligned we're very on it she will not go to sleep without me it's never happened it's so fun it's the best it's the best thing about makeup is that you don't have to sleep alone yes exactly but what time is bedtime for you guys we just started a new routine as of today yeah this morning we woke up we waking up is hard for we love sickly and sleeping we're night owls yes but we woke up at 6.30 this morning and that's what we want our new routine to be so we go to bed around 10 or 10 or really proud of ourselves yeah we got a full workout in before we usually wake up it was great but usually I don't know between eight and nine is usually we wake up but we're trying to we're trying to do earlier just so we can be more productive during the day I think one really hard thing in our marriage has been because we're entrepreneurs and we're all we're always thinking about business and we're always working it's hard to know when that time present for them so like five o'clock it's hard yeah what's hard for me is like my brain like even looks like I dropped out of college do TikTok but before I do that like how I got through college in high school and you know even got good grades was just always we always just like working in at the night at night time and so like growing our huge channel growing our yeah YouTube TikTok growing everything I've always just been a night owl as well and just over the past like year I've kind of turned to just spend all that time with Abby but now I feel incredibly lazy because I'm not getting nearly as much done yeah yeah so we get that so we feel like so we're like if we wake up earlier maybe we'll we we don't have some quality time did it work out or yeah I believe in you guys yeah I'll Yeah I I love parkour I honestly need to know where this lies on the realm of martial arts is it the same thing? Yeah no that's completely different. Yeah parkour is basically getting from point A to point B as fast as possible and so that's like vaulting and flipping over walls and things like that so I loved parkour and I honestly haven't been doing very much Ninja Warrior I haven't been doing very much parkour or even martial arts the main training I've been doing is what I'm doing in the shows but the rest I've been really busy and so that's something I need to make sure I hone my skills because I'm gonna lose them if I if I don't do them at all so I need to get back out there every once in a while and I'm a little bit bigger than I was when I was doing parkour a lot in Ninja Warrior so I could lose 10 pounds probably and make it a little easier but yeah so funny Maya says what was the best part about touring and then she also the follow-up of what was the hardest part so whichever one comes to you first I can say my favorite part touring I met so many cute and awesome people it was just a time to actually put the people on the screen like they watch us on the screen I got to meet them in person yeah how cool was that to fully see who you're who's watching you it was great yeah it's more than a number and being able to impact lives that that was a really great thing to see because my dad had a vision when he started Ninja kids to impact people's lives to go out there and do more than just watch YouTube and to go out on tour and see that we were successful and have fun and see all these lives that we touched was you know that's honestly why we do it and why we're gonna do it again I the show aspect is fun but it's nothing near getting the next to our start uh it's a August September and August sometime cool you say that's more the east coast yeah I forgot about that but what was what was the worst part was the hardest part yeah I was gonna say I was tired a lot what else would you say it was really hard to be productive outside of touring because it took up your whole life yeah almost we were so busy outside a tour that it was almost we had to put our lives on pause so it was really nice getting home going home was great after tour that's you couldn't as make as many videos because it was busy yeah because I love touring but it's not my life it's not something I don't want to be a tour person I don't want to have to do shows constantly I think a couple weeks out of the year is great I don't think I I wouldn't have done the 12 weeks again honestly this year it was a great one-time experience but I don't think I would have done it again for you it was hard on your body you hurt your back really bad yeah I mean I just got sore just doing the same thing every day and so I don't think I'm a constant performer for the rest of my life so I don't think I'll be opening a show in Vegas but but going out for a couple weeks and meeting the people yeah that's what I enjoyed okay so you're just like casually mentioned America Ninja Warrior while we were talking it got me thinking about what your experience was like competing in that show you tell us about that yeah we love American Ninja Warrior and actually we started in Ninja Kids and they called us and was like hey we want you on our show that was when we were a little bit younger I was 14 and they were opening the American Ninja Warrior Junior Show so we had never done Ninja before and then we went out started practicing we went on the show we all completed the course at a buzzer but none of us got close to winning or anything but then me and my siblings we we loved it so we kept training and then we all got to go on the adult show together all together on the same season and so it was a really cool experience to go out there honestly I did pretty bad really on the adult show I saw a video yeah yeah though it you looks really good like I there's a tech talk I saw when you're going from thing to thing and you know how we're on this wheel and like went up like like the like one wheel was like show over the other way graphic on the screen yeah like it was crazy how you just flew in the air upwards yeah I think I'm I think I'm a decent ninja I didn't go expecting to win but I don't balance and so balance is really tricky because
It's hit or miss. It can take out even if you're really good because one tiny miss up. When you're doing hanging obstacles, it's really how strong are you and you can get it pretty consistent every time. But balance is a hard thing, especially when it's a balance course you've never tried before. So I fell on balance and it was like third or fourth obstacle. So that was disappointing. But the next year, the rest of my siblings went on again. I didn't compete again. I should have my sister Ares tonight, actually. No way. Yeah. But yeah, I thought it was a cool opportunity. And my siblings, that's what they do. Majority of their time is train and train and enjoy. Yeah, that's their main focus. How do you make money doing that? You don't make a lot of money for that. I don't think they've ever made money off of doing it, besides potentially making YouTube videos about it. But they, they're like world champions. Only USA team. Yeah. My brother Ashton. He's really good. And he won World Finals in Sweden. That's so that's pretty cool. My sister Pason got second goodness. So they're pretty good at Paxen's pretty good too. But he's in the same competitive realm as his older brother. And so he is hard competing with his older brother and Pete. But yeah, I was going to ask you guys really competitive with each other. We're really competitive. We've done tons of challenges. And the competitiveness is real. Is it ever like actually hurt your relationships or is it just like fun competition? No, we can get upset for sure. And I think our relationships are strong enough. We work through it. But it's a real big deal. We just did a challenge recently. Honestly, it'll probably be our last YouTube challenge we do in that way. And it's coming out this next week. But I don't think we're going to do much competition because we're changing so much. I'm not training as much as I used to. So I'm falling behind. That's like their main priority. And then my younger brother Paxen has a hard time sometimes keeping up just because of the age difference. So I don't know if we'll do much competing in YouTube videos anymore. But we'll always be competitive on who's better. Ashton. He wrote in his 10 year goal to beat me at an arm wrestle. He'll never beat me. He's training. So I got to make sure I stay up to shape. But but yeah, we're very competitive. That's I know that someone on the recent Mr. Beast Games. There's a couple ninja warriors on the show. Yeah, I know both of them. You know them both. Yeah. Yeah, I think Beast Games would be really cool. It's a little different coming from an influencer perspective. I'd love to be a part of Beast Games and maybe go collaborate. I don't know if I necessarily need to go sign up and compete for for the money. But I think he did a great job on the series. But in Weber, who won the island, he coaches my siblings. Oh really? He's the coolest guy. Yeah, he's great. No way. Yeah. And actually right after the after right after the episode aired, he called up my parents and was like, what do I do with this much money? Because I think he was my parents were like the only ones he knew that had money. And so he came over with the best smart with their money. Wait, I actually saw follow-ups. He bought some cars, didn't he? No, no, no, no. That was major. That was fake. Okay, thank you. He's very smart. We're good. That's funny. Here like your parents were like, buy a bunch of luxury cars. No, no. I have a great plan for you. Yeah. But he's got all the money. So he hasn't paid taxes yet. So it's about maximizing how much he can earn through a money market or something before he has to pay taxes. And so that was a kind of cool thing. You even talking about just like all these like logistics behind the scenes. Your parents, I guess how do they set you up to be where you are today? Like where you're like independent. You're still in the entrepreneurial space. You didn't want to leave it. But you're recreating something in your own. That's probably a big question to ask. But I'm just interested from a parent perspective. My parents were raised very differently. My dad didn't have a father figure in the home. And my grandma married four different guys throughout his childhood. And so he didn't have a strong family. He left home at 17 and he he was on his own. And so it was up to him. And it was up to him to learn. And he had a lot of failures and successes just learning through the pains of what most people don't learn. And so he wanted to set us up in a different way because he wasn't set up like that. My mom had a more normal childhood with she had parents and stuff. But she still didn't have parents who taught her about money and finances. And so that was very important to them to to teach to us because you're right. The education system doesn't do a great job at teaching those things. So that was very important to them to to make sure we understood those things. Are you putting money aside for retirement? Yeah. Yeah. We've got money. Let's go. That's awesome. Yeah. Okay. Well, are you part of the money conversations just out of curiosity? Yes. We obviously he's taking the reins on it just because he's so educated in it. But yes, I'm a part of every conversation we work to do with really every conversation. She knows about it, but she just lets me handle it. Yeah, this is my, we've done stuff with the Ramsey financial. Oh yeah. And every time I'm like, I'm gonna do better. And then every time Matt like starts talking about when he's like, "Ha!" Abby took me to a money and marriage retreat where like the whole retreat is about like growing your marriage and then also talking about like how to have a conversation. I just focus on the marriage part. And I'm like, "All right, babe, we're gonna do a meeting about our finances." And she's like, "Please, no, let's not do that." It makes me nauseous. I don't know anything about it. So that's why I'm like, "I can't start it now." It starts to stress me out a little bit. Do you see how my brain is functioning? If you start saying ETS, I literally will check out. Yeah. Well, I've had some investments not do great. She doesn't want to hear about my crypto right now. Yeah. Please tell me crypto is like 1% of your portfolio. It's larger than 1%. All right. Less than 10%. I'm hopeful. I will revive myself. But you have an investment in an Injikid's Action Park in Texas. So I'd rather do it as a team than separately. - Are you anti-prinup? - No, we have a prenup. - You go, we signed a prenup. - Well, yeah, signed a prenup. - Yeah, we did. - We didn't want to know more. - Yeah, so we have a prenup. It just felt like the smart thing to do. My parents had talked, even her parents were like, you should have her signed a prenup. - He's loaded, she's facing crazy. - No, that's her sign it for me. - No, they wanted me to sign it. - I didn't grow up with like crazy wealth. And so I didn't really know anything about it. When someone says prenup, it's a very awkward conversation. I mean, it was like, you're just planning our divorce. Like, you don't trust me, you know? But the more I did research on it, it was, he's tied to a lot of family businesses with many kids and stuff, and I did not want to come this marriage for that reason. I had no ill intent. And so, it ended like totally fine on the dotted line. - Yes, I just want to marry you for you. I'm not coming in this because of your part of ninja kids. That's weird, but it is an awkward conversation. It really, it hurt your feelings when it's first brought up. I got my feelings hurt. I was like, you want me to sign a prenup? - Yeah, and the worst part was, it is an awkward thing and so I kind of pushed it off until the night before the wedding. - The night before the wedding. - So it was really, we were showing up at the bank at closing time to notarize the wedding. - I had to leave my bridal party when I was doing to go sign a prenup. I was a little bit sad. I was like, why did you wait until the last day? - Yeah. - You're like, girls, just hold it. - I literally was like, you're soon to be. - Yeah, I was like, guys, I have to run to the bank real quick. I'll be back, like, why? - Yeah, so it's really, it is a really awkward thing playing on, what if, worst case scenario. - Yeah, I just kind of sucks. - We're really hoping. I mean, obviously things have been going great and we're hoping it's never an aspect of our lives. - Totally, most of the time, it's not. - Yeah, it just felt like a smart thing to do. - Does it have a sunset period or like some sort of claws? Some sort of claws where it just goes away. Like if you're married 30 years, does it just, - Shh. - No, we did. - We had to plan that far. - I chose not to listen to the teach and my attorney was like, you got it. - Did you get, did you get like an attorney to like review this thing? - Well, part of the issue was, I made one on chat GPT. (laughing) - You made the brain up my chat. - On chat, she's so romantic because he was so nice and he's like, I feel so awkward. I'm just not going to get a lawyer. I'm just going to chat GPT and have you sign it. - Right. - My lawyer checked over it and he's like, this can be, like, I could take this to court. - It wasn't a, it wasn't a great, it wouldn't have worked out. I could have taken everything and I didn't want to do that. - You didn't know. - I wanted him to be set up too. And so I was like, well, let's write a good one. If we're going to do this, I'll help you out. - And then my parents had their attorney look over it after that. And so there was kind of a thousand-- - All the day before the wedding. I was stressed. - This all happened the day before. - Everything we got a lawyer, they got a lawyer the day of the-- - 'Cause I had my chat GPT won ready. But it wasn't approved by people's families, which is why it was last day. - How many days before the wedding, did you do your chat GPT prenup? - I don't know. - I think this was the morning-- - I probably spent like five minutes on it. It was like-- - See, this is so interesting. - Yeah. - Because when we were like, yeah, combine your finances, we were talking, we were like, I'm buying them $250. - We were like, yeah, no problem. - Yes. - But that is more complicated. And so I think you, I feel like the way you went about it was like, it's prioritizing marriage. And also just not being negligent of businesses that you have like established previously. - Right, right. And I wasn't even a part of that. So I don't care to have the ninja kid stuff. I didn't grow that. So I was just like, I don't care if I signed a prenup, but before my wedding, I was mad. - Yeah, it was-- - It's like, I'm focusing on the next day. - The next tomorrow is a big day for me. - Tomorrow is a huge day. I'm waking up before I am for my makeup. - Yeah, it would have been a lot easier if I would have planned it more officially ahead of time. - But he's sweet and just didn't want to bring it up. - It's a learning experience. I feel like everyone has to crash out the day before the wedding. - Hope you're safe. - I certainly did. - So your finances are now combined. - Right. - But the prenup protected everything you had before. - Okay, so the prenup doesn't protect any money. So we'd still split money 50/50. It's just the business itself. - Yes. - So you have equity in ninja kids. You don't have equity in rights. - Right. - In the Brighton Mildred channel. - Your channel, that's yours. - Yes. - But then I do in our couple's channel 'cause we started that after. - Gotcha. - Yeah. - That makes a lot of sense. - The stuff I wasn't a part of, I'm not. - But she'd still make half the money from even what we're doing right now together. - Okay. - It's just she wouldn't own the business or future plans because there was another creator that did that with his wife and they didn't have a prenup. And so they couldn't even upload after because there were disputes like two people own the channel and they don't like each other anymore. You know what I mean? So it wasn't about the money. She can keep all the money that we were growing together, but it's I want to be the one to have the say on the channel. - Which is valid. - I don't want to just have to shut down because, especially 'cause it's something I had long before our relationship. - That is a really awkward thing to do. - Yeah, it's a hard one to have awkward. Hey, you know what, it's done? - It is done. - And you did it. - And you did it for me. - And it'll never be relevant to you before you just never play another role in your life. - Have you guys talked about that since that day? Was this the first time talking about that? - Pretty much. - No, kind of an mention. - We, it was, there were some hurt feelings in the beginning just because of the timing. Literally was mainly why. But we don't really talk about a ton. And we've never shared that. This is the first time we've shared this information. - I have talked about, maybe I should get it virtually 'cause there's nothing stopping her from shredding that thing right now. So, it's just, she's not crazy, but right. It'd be very easy for her to just go shred that and then. - Hey, you know what? - You can't even know what a bad fight can really alter every year. - I'm not a homie. - I get to a toilet paper or something. - I know about it. - And that thing's getting shredded out. - I need to take some pictures, just in case. - Oh my gosh. - I love it. - That was a fun case. - That was the fun case. - That's what we talked about, our favorite thing to talk about. I dream about it all night. - We've never gotten to the point. We've always stayed in the same bed. Like I've never had to sleep on the couch or anything. And so we weren't angry enough that we couldn't literally be next to each other. - Yeah. - But there's been times where we're like, let's talk about it as far. - You just flip over. - But I don't like it. Yeah, my personality. I like to hash it out right away. Let's get this going. Let's just figure it out. But he's a more of a processor. - And I think that's great. - Figuring it out is great. But if we're figuring out at one a.m. There's, we're just our minds. - We're just surveilling it. - It's true. - And then it escalates and you're more tired and more feelings get hurt. And then it's just like a snowball. - I haven't done this in a while. I just way too tired. - It is just like a fight. - Oh my look. And then you're just like, and then you think you think you're baking in the wise decision by saying you know what? Let's go to bed. Let's put this away. And then it's like, you don't care about this marriage. (laughing) And then that's a whole other fight. But you know what? I've just been, you're so lucky. I've just been so exhausted. I have no fight left in me. (laughing) It's just shocking. - Honestly, I think it's, I think we both gone to therapy. She asked me about an outfit. I am not a style guy. I don't even know if it looks good. So I just feel like-- - That's true, I think that is the way-- - I feel like I'm guessing, which isn't a white lie 'cause I do like it, but I also don't know. Like, yeah, I guess it's great if you like it, so. - It almost has opinions on outfits. - I do, but for me, it really just comes down to the way it fits you. I think you look amazing. - I like, I like-- - He does not like baggy clothes. - Well, okay, if it's baggy, like I don't want it to be like baggy pants and a baggy shirt. - Yeah, so he got one figure. - Yeah, you gotta take either the pants or the shirt. - This is actually the only thing that you actually have for him to pin on if I'm wearing it. If you're like, if it's too baggy or too loose, I'm also five two, so sometimes when I wear some really loose things-- - I like you. - But like you're good, you're strong enough. - I don't know the trends though. - So like, if you're asking me about like trending stuff, I don't know. - Well, my family, they're not fashionistas, and so I never was. Jade's how to teach me. - Ah. - And so I just trust her. - So you showed up on our first date with skinny jeans and running shoes. - Hey, he's got skinny jeans on you. - Those are skinny jeans. - Those are slacks. - He's wearing slacks. - He's wearing khakis and they kind of are tight fitting. - They're making him look like skinny slacks. - By the point he's-- - I was way off of that. - She remembers what you wore. - I do remember because I was like, "Skinny jeans." - You're like, "This is gonna have to work shop this." - We would have not have gotten married if I didn't change myself. - Oh, okay, that's a little dramatic. - Probably. - That skinny Jade filled me in. Skinny jeans are out, right? - Yeah. - I mean, they're coming back, I think, but I still feel like boys shouldn't wear them. - Gosh, see, I'm so far out of the loop that like I'm probably gonna still be wearing them with the length of anything. - Honey, you don't have any skinny jeans. - I don't anymore? - Not a single figure. - Okay, she's throwing them all away. - Okay. - They are not in her closet. - I haven't seen those. - But she, she's helped me and dress better. - Or even your hair's way different when we're spent. - True, my hair's completely different. - I don't know if you've seen his old things. He used to do like a slick back. - A slick back. - He didn't even know he had curly hair. - Yeah. - Until me. - She discovered that you had curly hair. - Yeah. - Yes, he would go to Puerto Rico and he's like, my hair's kind of frizzy. It's kind of like in the humidity. And so he said we should try curly hair routine. And he has really curly hair. - Wow. - He would blow dry every morning and slick it back. - What a discovery. - Yeah, we had the same haircut. - What? - Yeah. - Wait, oh, this was your haircut. - Yeah. - Yeah, just like a little side. - If Matt's hair is curly under there, that would be crazy. - That was my haircut. - No way. Are you meaning like filming the moment or are you meaning like if we're on our phone scrolling during a moment? - I was gonna say filming the moment. - Okay, I was thinking filming as well. Yeah, I think sometimes the stresses of filming in the moment, we don't do a ton of logging. That's kind of not what we do. - Yeah. - But sometimes it's like, we have to hurry and get this shot. Like this is important. We can't miss it and it just causes some stress 'cause we're working, you know? - Yeah. - Yeah. - What do you think? - We don't vlog normal everyday life. And I've never been a vlogger or even ninja kids. It was never everyday normal life. But we'll vlog big things. Like our big adventures or big milestones. And so yeah, it does change the dynamics slightly. But totally. - That's my problem with it is like as a creator, I love to like create the videos, but then at the same time, sometimes if you create too much, then it's like you're robbing yourself of just like living in the moment and not thinking about like the angle. Did I like set up the scene and explain what we're about to do? And then, and then sometimes I'll just say, I'll just fix it all in post with voiceover. - Exactly. - But then like you filmed the video and you're like, oh gosh, I have to go through and figure out. - Kind of throw this, yeah. - Yeah, explain what the heck's going on here. - Yeah, I think that was honest. That was very honest. - Yeah, that is honest. - But on the other side, it's awesome 'cause you have a journal of what I did so much to you. - It's so worth it in the end. - Yeah. - And we'd film it anyways. They gave me black coffee and it was just gross. - That would be really scary if you were thinking you're gonna have to. - Yeah, it's just when you expect something else and it wasn't, it just wasn't good, but we've never had like a sugary. - I've never ordered it, but I had to taste it. The one time I was in front of me. - Yeah, why'd you have to taste it? - I don't know, I was just curious. And I'm like, one swig. (laughing) - Are friends that were like, they were members of the church, he was like, we went to get coffee and I always felt like so high maintenance 'cause I really do want coffee every morning and I would always panic if we were staying with people that didn't drink coffee 'cause I was like, what am I gonna do? I'm a freak. But he was like, we stopped at Starbucks, he was like, but what is it taste like? And I was like, I don't wanna lead you astray, but if you take one sip of this, is that gonna be a problem? And he was like, okay, I'll take one sip. I was like, I feel so bad. That was basically the thing. I think the word of wisdom, which is what, not drinking coffee is based on, I think it should be more tailored towards health and I think people don't treat it as being healthy. And I feel like I'm plenty healthy to say I'm following the word of wisdom. Even if I do drink a coffee here and there, which I don't, but I think it's about health and that's how it started. It was a word of wisdom, not by commandment and it's become a commandment, but I-- - But you're not gonna-- - It's about health to me. - Oh, so it's not, okay, sorry. This is a curious question. I'll ask later. - Have you ever seen where they compare like a monster energy drink to a cup of coffee? - Energy drinks, yeah. - And you're seeing like the difference in the health benefits. I mean, that there's no health benefits, but how bad they are for you. - Yeah, I don't know if I've ever had a monster, but-- - Yeah, we don't drink, you don't really-- - The only energy? - What's the energy drink we had this morning? - Alonni. - I've tried Alonni, Alonni's good. We're just not big drink people, which is everyone is surprised about by being in Utah. I just don't love drinks. Easiest one yet. Yeah, we've kind of talked about that a little bit But I feel like there's a new job with that. Okay, getting married young as well I feel like this is something that plays a more prominent role than probably people that wait until they're 30s to get married And so it is something you kind of have to be proactive in doing I feel like we had to as well like and learn because it's like you kind of are just used to following the flow if If of your family and like, oh, yeah, they tell me what to do. I do it We do like this is how we do things as a family like oh wait we're establishing our own family now and you kind of have to be more of a bulldog in that in my opinion If you get married super young, especially as the oldest right like you're like setting the the standard a little bit and so Especially since you guys are both the oldest right especially with how involved we are with my family It's really important to keep those boundaries different because it was with her family It's pretty easy and her parents are really chill it's a very simple but with me working with my family It's a little more complex to keep it like she's my priority if something happens between us I'm gonna go this direction and luckily things have been good, but it's it's much different. I don't like that I know We've had some friends we're laughing because we've had some friends that have some problems with that and they come to us and Just doesn't I just don't think it's a good look. I I'm very glad we got married young. I think It's gonna be easy to grow our lives together. I think we were ready. I think it just depends on the person I think some people at our age would be too young, but Because it is a very young age. Yeah, but I think we both feel more mature Yeah, we were we were ready for for that Yeah, I feel like the more that we've been married super long But we've been married seven years and I feel like the more that we Like age out of that season the more I'm grateful that we started when we did because we have so many things and I'm just like We already know that about each other. We've already crossed that bridge like we've crossed all these bridges Like I feel like we're just able to go further with and it's it's such a blessing that we met each other When we did to be in this place now, and it's so cool seeing you guys like at that like beginning stage I mean getting through the first year. I feel like the first year is usually like there's a lot of learning and growth that happens But it's such a fun time to it's just sweet like kind of like looking back and like talking Like such a similar season I do miss it, and I also think that you have a lot to look forward to I really like you guys. Yeah, we like you too. It's so fun.
