Sex and the City S2E9: “Old Dogs, New Dicks” with Mina Le

The podcast explores "Sex in the City" season two, episode nine, analyzing its portrayal of relationships, gender dynamics, and personal change. Carrie’s frustration with Big over his lack of boundaries and emotional neglect highlights her desire for a secure connection, while Miranda and Steve’s more balanced, schedule-aligned relationship offers a contrast in emotional compatibility. A central theme is the line, “You can’t change a man, but once in a blue moon, you can change a woman,” which is interpreted as both ironic and revealing—suggesting women’s influence on men’s lives through personal transformation. The episode also critiques societal norms around masculinity, such as circumcision, framing these as self-driven changes rather than external pressures. Social media is mocked as a source of obsession, with Carrie’s imagined psychosis illustrating the absurdity of online fixation. Hosts share personal experiences—like a traumatic biology class dissection and social anxiety in New York—to deepen the emotional resonance of the characters. Ultimately, the discussion emphasizes that while women can inspire change, true transformation in men arises from internal motivation, not external influence. The episode underscores the complexity of gendered expectations, the role of personal agency, and the often unrealistic portrayals of romantic and social dynamics in media.

- Big would be a mess on Instagram now. - Why are you liking every bikini photo? - Can you imagine Carrie's psychosis? She'd be hacking into the mainframe. (upbeat music) - Welcome back to Girls Rewatch, a podcast about girls. - TV and girls. - On TV, I'm Miller Teller. - I'm Evan Lazarus. - And making their grand return to the podcast, the one and only, Nina Leigh! - Yay! - And we always said about what? (laughing) - We flew all the way to LA to talk to you. - That's so, that's amazing. - I do feel like you're always seeing us and it's like, - I know. - Also, I feel like New Yorkers feel animosity towards LA. - Of course, it's better here. - But LA people don't feel animosity towards New York. - You guys are in good moods. - Well, Evan, we love for the airport at 5.30 yesterday. Evan found a mouse in the toaster right before. - In the toaster? - We came out of the toaster. - We had to get in the toaster. - 'Cause I went in there. - 'Cause it isn't a hole in the back of the toaster. (laughing) - It's from the top. - 'Cause there's lots of crumbs in there, right? - It's from the top, right? Classically, it's open-faced. - Oh, it is. - That would just like legit ruin avocado toast for me, for offer. - Are you throwing away the toaster with the happening? - You throw it away for real? - Yeah, so. (laughing) - Who ended up handling this? - I don't know, I don't know. - Wait, did you like open the toaster right out, or was it like, it didn't leave? - I would, but it's okay, I'm also at the seat. For I am in my kitchen, walk in, and me, and it might open, like I do, I go to pantry. - For I am, oh, me, on his closet. (laughing) - I'm not gonna do a six hour play without looking 30, like that. - Sorry. - And in the moment, I put my bowl of mouse comes to crawl. I see it right up to here, what the hell? And it's a mouse crawling on the toaster. It's actually kind of cute, it's like so little. - Wait, how big was it? - No, like that. Like that. - Okay, why is it getting bigger? (laughing) - You're like, you're like mouse and not like a rat. - No, I absolutely know, it's not. It was so tiny in fatigue, there's no way it was a rat. - Rats are fat in ugly. (laughing) But they're tiny in fatigue when they come out of the womb. It could be like a newborn rat. - Oh my God. - No, I have a rat. - It's crazy. I never thought about how rats have wounds. - I know, I'm so well. - Rats are doing vaginal bursts. - Like, yeah, did you ever dissect a rat in biology class? - No. - No, that was like a horrifying experience for me, because I have like a-- - Did you do that in Maryland? - Yes, okay, in high school. So I'm seeing, I think it was like junior year of class and science biology class. I have a major rat phobia, like just the preface. Everyone knows this, like I'll run screaming. And then my teacher's like, we're gonna be dissecting today. And you get a choice between a rat, a shark, or a pigeon. (laughing) - No. (laughing) - That's our deep question. - Oh yeah, a shark, which animal would you rather dissect? - Which animal would you rather dissect? - I think this was a lot of a person. - And you picked-- - No, my group. My group, we were in a group before. And they were like, they all looked at me and they were like, we're gonna do the rat. (laughing) - No, I know, I'm-- - And it should have bi-groups or not. - Yes, and then my teacher was like, it's time to face your fears. Like I was literally getting into like a psychological, like, conversion camp with something. - Right. - In that moment. - Psychologic. (laughing) - Psychologic. - Psychologic. - Psychological conversion camp for vegan. (laughing) - Yeah, so we did dissect the rat. And this guy in my class, like he like, also kids are like so gross, you know? Sometimes they're sick. - They were like in schooling, they'd be intestines of the rat. And they'd be making necklaces out of the intestines. And this one guy, like put like a little rat spleen, like in the hoodie of some girl, like, you know, in the back. - No. - Like, he'd be a. - He'd be a classic thing when the guy was like, it's a rat spleen in your hoodie. (laughing) - That's love. That's actually really love. And they'll tell you it's love and counseling. You know they love you. (laughing) - She was obsessed with you and she married them. (laughing) - Did she put the hoodie on? Did she always have it on? - Yes, because I ratted on her. (laughing) - Oh! - So it didn't happen and then he got sent to detention. - I think the crime does not fit the punishment. - That's the point. - The punishment is too small. - No, the punishment is not for the crime. - Please. - Put him on death row. - No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no? - Did you make that little rat spleen on your head? - I don't know how big it is. - It was pretty small, but like, that's almost worse. - It's almost worse. - It's like when you make something you see a retell from the inside. (laughing) - Anyways, that's a perfect set way. - It's a real private test. - I just run into college. She would go to her garden after a green and she would collect bones as they would come off. She'd listen to Orleans. - Right, right. - She'd get the bones. - With human bones? - Human. - Is this legal? - Is this legal? - Okay. - Is she a legal? - Is she a legal? - No, it's a legal. - So human bones are servicing. - Is she a legal? - I feel like she's going to get cursed if she hasn't, if she alive. - She's alive. - Did you say, "Is she alive?" - Yeah, "Is she alive?" - She's alive. - She's alive. - She's so unclear. - I just want to be glad home. I heard that, too. I heard that, too. - We're talking about "Sex in the City" today. - Yeah, they are. - Well, now that's the perfect segment. - Yeah. - We're watching "Sex in the City" season two, episode nine, old dogs, new dicks. - What? They're shoving at Amy's feet in the show. - Okay, but look, here you feel like the show runs on one liner exclusively, 'cause that's really counting this time. - Do you keep a tally? - No, but I feel like when you first watch it, you're like, "Ah, this is funny." But second time, also, because I knew I was going to be on here, I was like, "And not, you know, analytical brain." And I was like, "Every single. " You don't. I don't know. You guys are comedians, but do you. - No. - Do you like give that many one-lipers and they can normal conversations? - Well, this is why I think the show is incredible, because the actresses say them so, like, matter of factly that I believe they really thought that. - Right. - Whereas, like, if I was in their show and had to deliver the lines, they'd deliver, I'd be like, "Uh, uh, um. " - Like, "How did this.?" - Right. [laughter] - It's wonderful. - Yeah. - I will say you and some other people might circle, deliver a lot of puns. - Ooh, and they do love puns on the show. - Yeah. - You're hired for a sex in the city, and just like that season. - You show them. - 30 days of a collage. - They should do a cross over. - They should. [laughter] - A quick episode, sorry guys. This episode answers the question, "Can men change?" In Carrie's case, she's seeing if Big will spend the night at hers or give her a key. In Miranda's case, she's seeing if Steve could change his sleep wake schedule to fit with her lawyer schedule. And in Carrie's case, she wants to see if a guy would get an adult circumcision for her. And in Samantha's case, she kind of already fully believes men can't change, unless it's from hockey player to drag Queen inspired after her. Which was an amazing part of the episode. Also, is this the episode where Trump walks in? - No, no. - They got it. - That may be fate. - I'd be like, "I'm not actually going to go to the show." - Like, "I can't do this." - That would be all. - No. I don't want to be near his energy. - Also, I think he's dead, and they won't tell us. These bullies, and they won't tell us. - Just like the aliens? - Yeah. - Yeah. - I think he died a while ago, yes. And I do think there's lots of aliens, and they are here. - And they could be him. - Or does he got hurt? - That woman on the plane that was like, "That's not a human, I believe her." - No, I know. - Okay, so the episode opens up, and Karen Samantha are walking in Central Park, eating amazing pretzels together. And Carrie is like, "Everybody in New York is so pretty and big, keeps looking at them and nods pissing me off." And Miranda is like, "You cannot change men except for their hair and wardrobe, and even then." And then Carrie is like, "But I could change big, right?" And she's like, "No, bitch." Well, she's actually more like, "No, babe." - No, diva. - I mean, it's actually not like, it's a culture, it's mirror. The whole focus is on how people are working on it, how they can't hold the attention on anyone. Like, just Carrie alone, and how bad it throughout all of New York City are constantly being distracted by beauty. - Right, and I don't feel like men are doing that in New York City now, because they can look a really well curated photos on their phone whenever they want. - No, babe, it would be a mess on Instagram. - No, we're liking every bikini photo. - Can you imagine Carrie's psychosis with big Instagram presence? She would be stalking his profile the night, she'd be hacking into the mainframe. - He was, guys, he follows like 5,000 people, and he's like 1,000 of them are women who are really hot. And he's like, "I don't know, I just follow so many people." - His explore page is all the key models, and he's like, "I don't know why this is a thing." (laughing) - That algorithm. - Yeah. - I know. - It's a plastic. - Are you like, are you down for like purview? (laughing) - Is that how you feel? - Is that how you feel? - Yeah, for big, for things. (laughing) - It's not like it's so traditional. Like men are all purple, men are purple. So it's like, I'm so secretive about it. What we have online hails is like, keep it out there for everyone to know. - Right, he did even like have, like the social decorum to like, sneak a glance. Like he was full, like, oh my God. - No, he was like, (laughing) - I just can't imagine those stage directions or whatever in the script. And it's like, and then, double your eyes and size. (laughing) - You got those people dilated. - Yeah. - I feel like there's so many hot people that I'm unfazed. - I have only had a nest of size by like the amount of like, hotness in this world. - Everybody's so pretty now because we have the tools. - Yeah. - That I'm like, this means nothing to me anymore. - Really? - We're also like, do anything working in like, entertainment instead of like, we also are seeing it more often. Like being in these like, cosmopolitan cities, like, interacting with like, celebrities and fashion models. It's just like- - No, when I go home to Texas, I'm like, oh my God, wait. I forgot, it's different. (laughing) - Different how? - Yeah, different how. - It's different how, so basically, um. - This is the great thing. That's the only day where I ever knew full person to be with us. - You sell us for life and that's beautiful. (laughing) - Well, it's also like- - That's a great thing. - It's a great thing to be with us. - What do you mean? - Well, it's when you see up in the movie pop, with the movie industry, you have to think about how to look at them, so you don't get those out of action that you are seeing them. - Right, of course, that's normal. - But I think if people are like really hot, they are noticing, because that's just like their life. - Yeah. - Yeah, they're like actually, maybe, but if you're doing the reverse psychology, where it's like, oh, why isn't that person looking at me? And then you guys fall in love and it's a beautiful dance. - Maybe we're done. (laughing) - I always feel that, you know, if somebody has like missing limbs or is in a wheelchair or something, the way I'm like, don't look at them, they're so sick of that. - I'm like, oh my god, person, I'm like the master of person. - Don't look at them, they're so, yeah. - Yeah, they're people just like us. - Yeah. - They're like, they're just like us. (laughing) - Yeah, everyone walk in that street. - Yeah. - How do we get time in New York? There's like, a hundred people walking past each other. - You're getting dizzy. - Yeah, I'm like, if I look at everyone, I'd be like all the girls. - It is like I'm addicted to locking in every face on the subway, and sometimes rush hour, it just gets overwhelming. - Yeah, I think because at least when I was living in New York, I just like, didn't look at people because I was like, if I'm looking, I'm like losing focus, I need to get to my destination, which is why I never recognize anyone. - Totally. - I'm like, I could be walking past like a friend, and not know, you know? - You're like, I never went into anyone when I lived there. - Yeah, I was like, it's so social, that's it. - They're trying to connect with you. - They're like, it's gonna be a question. - Yeah. (laughing) - I'm like, I don't see you. - No, I'm like walking past Lord. Not that I'm friends with her, but like, my friend is like, oh, no, that's Lord, no, no, no. (laughing) - That's amazing how you can see one face. - I see no faces. - You, it's an energy thing for me. - Yeah. - It's like, it's like, it's not present enough, actually. So I think maybe your way of living is better. - You think. - Everybody has everything in common. Okay, like we're all the same. Nobody look at anybody, or we're staring at all of them. - There's just something missing, actually. - When people see, like, true, like, beautiful people walking in the street. And also, again, I think it's possible that it's really like, maybe this is like a comparison. But it's also like, what do you have on a distance? I'm like, what do you really? I mean, they try. You really do have a pasta. - Wait, so you're not taking them out? Like, you're not doing base thing. - Well, I am taking it out, but it's not, so I'm not a level of attraction. It's like a competitive thing. - Okay. You're doing big if it was a really wide shot. - They were over here. (laughing) - The bigger of this black thing. (laughing) - Do you think what you're doing is better than just checking out people because you're attracted to them? - It helps you in the same place. (laughing) - You got it. - But it's not the same thing. - Okay. - It's better. 'Cause it's about means all that we're saying. - Right, right. - Right. - It's awesome. - Yeah. - But it's definitely, it's amazing. - You're not a glutton. Like, the biggest of glutton, he's just looking around, being like. - He is a glutton. He's like, I've given so many girls keys. Don't tell her that. - Yeah. - He has no decorum at all. And he's like, it's 'cause I'm wrong, Riela. And I'm like, it's 'cause you're a bitch. - And he's like, I like my bed. - What? - Also, him pushing Carrie onto the floor and then Carrie slapping him and he being like, you're a fucking evil troll bitch. - No, I'm so anti-big. And I can't understand people who are like, you know what the whole like, I would say it's like not even a triangulation because all the other romances that Carrie has are just like so, like whatever, and like beneath her, and beneath the street time requirements. - No, it's between eight and a big. - I've always been pro-eating. - Really? - Yeah. - I haven't met him, but I think he's great. - Wait, is this the first time watching this series? - Oh! - Okay, I'm gonna spoil that as well. (laughing) - He's one of the members. She has a long house. (laughing) - Meanwhile, across town. - Yeah, I'm gonna transition. - Yeah, I'm gonna leave it. (laughing) - Miranda's new dating schedule is really causing a ruckus for her. So Steve is a bartender, of course. Miranda is a big shot lawyer. Those schedules don't align. Steve, he was supposed to close the bar at two and then randomly, he shows up at four a.m. She's like-- (indistinct) - That's what it is. Yeah, thank you for seeing me. (laughing) - Yeah, and then Miranda's like, what the hell? I wanted to fucking the night, like a normal homo sapien is what she says. And he's like, no, let's have morning sex and then cuddle for hours so you're late to your job. - I think this is like really hard. And I think either of them are in the wrong. - I know, that's what talks about this show is I'm like a little bit of everything all wrapped into one or whatever. - What? I feel like the big camera base is usually in the wrong. - There's so many Miranda's to you. - They're kind of like incompatible. - Yeah, it's just like, well, it doesn't work. - Yeah. - Yeah. - No, I like that. (laughing) - Why? - I understand like border on different schedules but the way Miranda's all, like, all the way through or all the things I can do is on. There's a classic online. (laughing) - Come on. - See, fly the six in the city theme every time I do this. (laughing) - Wait, I'm like, see, sex in the city scripts are just like real life. - Oh, I'm just like that. (laughing) - Well, I mean, we watch, it's definitely going on very obvious for a moment. - Yeah, yeah. - But if you think there's something so kind of oriented, like even though their schedules don't align well, the way that seems able to approach Miranda with such kindness. - Like, I love it, even about the very, a balanced way to do it. - Miranda's never hunted for status and what she's looking for. But everyone's just a farmer. And in a way, it's like the person in the. - The pee. - The popper. - And the person in the popper, they do. - Yeah, the princess in the popper. - But he comes to be a pee, I believe. - We're all thinking of different musicals. (laughing) - The person in the popper musicals. - The princess in the popper is the Barbie one. - I'm just like you. - You're just like me. (laughing) - The princess in the pee is when she can't see it 'cause there's a pee under her 24 mattresses. - I'm over it and it's like, that's a lot of fun. (laughing) - I know it was stressful day and she's like, (laughing) I'm out. But then the same thing happens when she tries to have, she's like, I have five coffees for you. I'm ready to fuck. I'm really sad. - I'm like, why? Do you feel like in those instances though? - Because in all the instances that we've seen, Miranda is abandoning me for Steve. - Passing me on. - In this episode. - Right. - Can I just say the episode ends with Carrie voiceover. You can't change a man, but once in a blue moon, you can change a woman. - Yeah, what? - I'm pissed. - I'm pissed. - That's a pretty good man. - 'Cause it's like Miranda is like, you know what? I will change all of my boundaries and schedules for this man. - And it's like she went to work late by an hour and like she didn't even care. And I'm like, I'm sure that it really changes again for both of us. - She's not making partner. - Well, it is. - And it all goes back to business. - It's like a one week when you did come into work. - I mean, they do try and show that it's compromised because they have sex at night and then again in the morning. So they're like, they're both switching it up. But I'm like, enough is enough. Miranda, you have to have clear boundaries. You have to be like, I have to be at work at eight. - And what's wrong with the weekend? - Well, she was so weird on the weekend. - Oh yeah. Okay, I think she was actually wrong for her weird weekends. - She was like, I have to go spinning. And then later, Carrie is like, if you're having sex with them, you don't need to spin. - Yeah, or you're just gonna look at an afternoon class. - Yeah, girl. How long does it take to pick up your own drink? - Oh, right. 12 hours later. - You forgot, I didn't. (laughing) - We're gonna retain that. (laughing) - I was saying it's great, I didn't mean to talk about that. - I've heard before this that Brenda, and this will come up later if we compare the curings Arlette, where Brenda is so cute and cute. We're showing examples where Carrie's biggest law with is called C7 Secondary Refusing to take college like any disparaging. - She's really about invoicing her feeling. - But she did. - She was like, I don't like that cigar. - But she actually didn't like that. She thought wasn't true. She didn't like that he was looking at women. She was like, I hate your cigar. - Yeah, yeah, you're right. - I'm not getting it. (laughing) - I was like, yeah, I can't hear you. (laughing) - Yeah, she worked with, she actually said it was on her mind and told me, but she didn't want the point for her, she falls back and she thinks that he was the other room, and she has a Jewish rumor that I was too, like there is always push you a point and an accent is salient or radically because you won't actually talk about what it's all about. - When you're random, this is all because it's so communicative which does lead her into disaster as well because she's being overly controlling like the bandage. - Yeah, it's like the, like Miranda represents, like being too direct and Carrie represents being too indirect and then we're seeing ourselves in both of them and we fall in the middle, and that's why the TV show works. - Yeah, between you or two wolves. - Yeah. (laughing) - Oh, yeah, yeah. - You have written Carrie. - Yeah. - Am I too, yeah, on my shoulders at all times, one Miranda, one Carrie. - Which one's the angel and which is the double? - That's, it depends on my day. (laughing) - But I'm looking at you again. - How do you, it's my time. - You got an episode of Full House. (laughing) - Um, you know, any closing thoughts on Miranda? - Thousands of thoughts. - Okay, we could just overrun it for 10 hours. (laughing) - I'm sorry, I was. - You were a hologram. - Sorry, I was signaling a transition in the episode to the first break. - This is the first break. - All right, when we get back, we're gonna close up here. (laughing) - Sorry to interrupt the episode, everybody, but I once again want to talk about Jones Row Beauty. I have it in front of me right now. See, I use it so much that like the lettering is like starting to fade. That's how much I love my Jones Row Beauty. Enough is enough with this caked-on look. It's not 2016 anymore. I can't be acting like that. I love Jones Row Beauty because it looks natural, it feels good, it's made with quality ingredients that are non-toxic for once. New York has been so hot this summer and I've been walking around sweating. If I had a bunch of makeup on, I would truly melt to the grounds like Elphaba does in Wicked or so we think. What I love about Jones Row Beauty Miracle Bomb is that it's light. I throw it on like, so I put on my moisturiser, right? And then I just do this on my cheeks and my lips and then I walk out the house. And I still get cat-called, so it's work-game. And as Evan has mentioned in previous weeks, Jones Row had actually launched their foundation stick and it's a foundation that even skeptics will love. It's dermatologist tested and packed with skin-loving ingredients. Modern day makeup that's clean, strategic and multifunctional for effortless routines. And we're off in the break. Well, I launched Row and she's an actor, I had her own execution in a way. She's killing herself. Yeah, she's killing herself. She is so detailed-oriented. I think we all get so critical in details. I think what we can ask you any details with too many small, like, is this thing that pulls you like it? Yeah, she looks so type-a. Yeah, you really need to make a schedule for sex. And she's like, listen. Yeah. She's the one with that romantic. But I'm like, I think that could correspond more for her lifestyle. Yeah. She should be opening those scheduling books. Yeah. And she's looking for a partner who really slots nicely into her life. That is not like an actual person with like their own hobbies that are interested in his son. He's like, I need somebody to join my world. And rather than like, I want my world to expand by meeting someone. Yeah. Which Steve does a pretty good job of. But like, even when they're first like flirting and stuff, it's like, so she's so like not believing him and so surprised. And like, he is expanding her mind in real time. No, I do like Steve. And I think they completely ruined his characterization and just like that in school. No, but it's really pissing me off. It's really pissing off. He sucks better. Meanwhile, meanwhile, the girls are all together at dinner. And I'm like, thank God I love when they do that. And Charlotte is like, so this guy's dick was giving Sharpe. That's a crazy analogy as well. What is a Sharpe, by the way? They kept saying that the boss looks so many wrinkles. Oh, and she was, wait, I'm going to read the line. Are you sure it isn't going to happen? Yeah. It was like a Sharpe. And then Carrie's like, you've never seen an uncircum sized one. And she goes, I'm from Connecticut. Our circumcision rates like a high in Connecticut, specifically. Yeah, it's like, well, that's like, is Carrie one with like the stats. She's like 80% of the world is uncircum sized. She said 85% of men are not circumcised. Oh. [INAUDIBLE] And then we, first of all, they don't know the body count of uncircum sized dicks is crazy. She's like, well, I've had the joy and pleasure of having sex with five uncircum sized, whatever. I feel like it's quite low for the amount of people I would assume that Samantha has adopted. I know. I was gobsmacked. Yeah. If you do that at night, you're off he starts. I do love that. Shirley is like, what's the deal with this? She's like, and she's like, why not, though? I guess. OK, we're going to go around, we're just going to go around. You're going to go to an upper east side. I don't know. She's not-- I don't know. I feel like she's like not going up with like that many people, though, right? They want us to think of that, but every episode-- [INTERPOSING VOICES] Every single episode, I'm like, sure. You're a slut. Maybe you had been repressing like her naked feelings, and it just builds up to this point where she's like, this is the first guy that I have to complain about. Yeah. Well, she always finds a way. Yeah. She always-- Have I uncut? I don't-- I don't know. I mean, you don't know. Does a little bit of shabby hair is not-- I don't. I think they've all been cut. Cut. Cut that? I didn't know I cut it. Yeah. Because like, I say you're broad. [LAUGHTER] Well, I say you're broad. Yeah. I think the actual statistics don't quote me. I think it's more 50/50 in America, but like around the world. It's like way less, like way more skewed. Yeah, the mirror in the back. Yeah. [INTERPOSING VOICES] Well, it is like kind of insane. Like, how did we normalize cutting baby dicks? Shoot it yourself. Yeah, like, why is that ever like-- I have an idea. [INTERPOSING VOICES] Because why? Probably because they got old, and they were like, what is, like, this gross stuff on my penis? Like, how do we prevent young-- [INTERPOSING VOICES] [LAUGHTER] Like, do we lose the situation? I don't know, like, juice always honestly. I don't know if it's fine. It's like not our baby. It's our bell. Like, juice sort of is-- actually, this is the most big stuff. But, do we have a lot of clay in it in seed? It's very clean all the juice, because it's juice. We don't need to say that much less. It's like a lower advocate series. And that's because juice boil all the-- It's just after using them. It's from a keeping pusher. But the writing rules can always remember that. That's when they're opening, so we serve. And they thought the juice was spreading the clay. Oh, my God. Whoa, history, like, any time I learned something, I'm like, holy crap. Fucking shit. I'm like, wow. So we are learning on this podcast. You know, educational. You can play it on a day. You can't play it on a day. Um, but Samantha loves them. And she says they're like a titsy pop. That's crazy, they decide. But, you know, she's always saying crazy things to us. I love her. But Mike Van decides to get an adult circumcision. And Charlottes Pump, because she thinks he's doing it for her. But she's really doing it because he wants to get laid. Yeah, he's doing for vanity reasons now. It's so much interesting because it's for me, for me. But this is what I was going to get, is like, what is it? But, this is what I was going to get, is what I was going to get. to release, like, it really gets a lot of attention to it. It's sort of like I did that on my character. I can ask him. - Yeah, girlbos. - Yeah. - It's like a supposed to be the big wall, 'cause of it all. It's like the full set factor. - But also, we're not, because it's basically just men who do whatever they walk through themselves. Like, they'll never change for a woman. Like, if they change, it's because of themselves. - And she's like, by the way, so horny for Mike, and he's like, I'm so sorry, but like, my adult circumcision is still healing. And he, like, leaves the day because-- - No, I don't think it's just that I don't have the thesis for a long time. - Okay, but also-- - You know, people who have adult circumcisions, and it like does, I feel like it takes longer than, like-- - Yeah, yeah, I was like, you know. - This is crazy, and then they kiss, and he gets, like, hard, and it's like-- - I don't know. (laughs) - Like, why is he even playing like fire? - He should not even be going on dates. - I just love, in this show, go slap, stick with it. - No, it's like not, it's a night, I was a trick, but I do not feel like he's been ostracized for having a non-content. - Right? - Yeah, 'cause he's an architect and hot, so-- - He's hot. (laughs) - I was trying to be kind. (laughs) - I was feeling a little show. - No, I'm gonna see that. - You don't see that, I can not recognize it. And I feel like the show, it's a lot of-- - I'm like-- (laughs) - If I'm looking, I can see it, but I just don't see that. - Yeah, I know the boys on the show are normal as well. - There's so mediocre, I think the women are like gorgeous. - And they're like fawning over these guys as if they're on a scene lover. - It makes me sick. - Very difficult for me to believe. - Look at all these somebody even had it, we could have said that everyone in the whole world on the show already. But I'm afraid anything would, like, visit us. - God, everything I do. - Well, they used to bring in Bradley Cooper for God's sakes. - Oh, wait, he was on it? - Yeah. - That's definitely just for me and like, this guy's hard about me. - Why? - Why? - I don't even like Bradley Cooper like that. - I don't even like that to hear him say that. - The math doesn't end up. - I think there was five where you weren't ready for the last five, but-- - He does, that's what we make the most. It's not like aesthetic, thanks much. - I feel like we need to pull the image of the mic. - I feel like for you to remember. For you to remember, I think I said it in Bradley Cooper. - Like the architect. - Yeah. - Okay, orange. - Okay, you look at that out of the age. I will say that out of the age. - I also don't know if this is right. (laughs) - This is the right amount of man. - They do end up hooking up. And Charlotte's like, I love this. We should be serious. Like this is so slick. - She's like, she's like, "Come over to watch a movie." - And he's like, "Wait, I kind of have a new puppy "I want to take for a walk." And she's like, "No, what the hell?" - She goes, "So do you mind if this sort of matches?" - You can do it if you want to. - No, sorry, it's fine. (laughs) - I should have a little bit of a body shamer. - Oh, absolutely. - I guess she's a lot to be like, what a bum. - So Saturday, it could definitely be, 'cause I probably did this wrong. Now, I'm a little awkward. - I know, he's like, you wanna hang out on a Saturday, but I'm circumcised now. - This is a low key circumcision probably in that, because 100% I have heard that there's more, there's more nerves in the foreskin. So like, when did you feel like worse? Like, not, you would know what it's like, the difference. - Well, I'm researches at that time, though. - Yeah. - I thought, but like, I forgot when it got to happen, it's when I hit the bubble comment, like, it was a sort of room that they had to throw it for, I mean, it's like the sort of position. Now, it's like, that's what happened at the high end. - I wasn't saying I didn't know it from. - It's not like it was me, or it was me. - We always made a name for these episodes. (laughing) - Yeah, of course. - Why is it such a popular vlog like this? (laughing) - This is what we have, this is what we have. (laughing) - It's just the show's we watch. - Yeah. (laughing) - I don't know if we're wrong. That's not a good joke sort of vlog. - Well, it's usually not because they're like, oh, women are not loving this. That's what I find unrealistic. But it's like, I think if it's like you have like issues with your foreskin or something, there's like a condition. - We're like, it's like, it's just, it's like, constricting too much. Like, you're-- - Is that propaganda? (laughing) - No, but it's like, it hurts to get hard. - Oh, so you just have to remove it. - Damn. Well, maybe it should hurt to get hard. (laughing) - Maybe the one who picks some issues you have in our world. - Maybe the one who picks some sacrifices for pleasure. (laughing) (laughing) (laughing) - Um, Carrie and Big go to dinner and the waitress is like, no smoking. He's like, I'm gonna flirt with you as I break that rule. And he asks everybody, I'm literally about to die. Can I please smell? 'Cause he was so annoying for that man. I really was the bad man. - I got so viscerally angry, like I became hot. Like, I was so mad. (laughing) - There was a thing in our whole time, the fake smile on our faces. - Yeah, okay. - It was our jace's brand new flirting right in front of her. Like, he's not even looking at that point. - Well, it's also good to see him. - I'm upset. - If you go to a restaurant and are like, any, honestly, any time it's my thing. Oh, it's her other picture. The obviously you're also seeing that, is they don't, they can't be like, "Oh, they're in source, but they can't say they don't want it." - No, also unrealistic. I feel like, 'cause like, they were all like exuberant. Like, they were like, "Yeah, go smoke." And I feel like, no, people would not be like, like, even if they were like, okay, with it, they'd be like, okay, yeah, I'm like, okay. - They're probably like, oh my God, I'm being a special extra. I'm gonna get my side card. (laughing) - Do it. - They're gonna ask me to come back. - Yeah. - I really do. - I really do. Kills line. - This is so easy to get your side card. - No, I know all the rules, actually. - Oh, do you have your side card? - No. So, and I know that we're pretty far, yeah. - Okay. - Do you have your side card? - No, I'm like eligible, but like, I feel like I'm not booking enough side stuff, where it's like worth to pay the fees and side card. - Yeah. Yeah. We got a book non-union. - We got a book. - We can't unionize right now, we're too young. (laughing) But then, yeah, Carrie's pissed and she's like, I hate your cigar. - Well, she's like, she's like steaming, like, throughout their dinner. I don't know how she like manages like to finish, like, this whole, like, situation with him. - As he's like, literally blowing smoke rings into her face. - It's a fucking insane. - Robert, I was a press. (laughing) - By who? - By the egg, blowing up. Robert's her goals, I'm gonna say go. - Uh, these are definitely like, someone else blowing them, 'cause it was like, edited in, like, literally her career. - Great. (laughing) - Carrie was right to slap that bitch in the face later in the episode. I'm mad. But then, yeah, also doesn't, he like, he's 30 minutes late to meeting Carrie at his own apartment. - Doesn't say anything about that. Blames her for it. - Yeah, and she's like, they think I'm a hooker down here. - And it's like, you should've gone to the coffee shop. - Yeah, it's so crazy. By the way, it's 10 p.m, like. - The 24 hour coffee shop. - Coffee shop is hot. - I'm pissing you on. - It's like, it's your fault for not occupying yourself while I'm late. (laughing) - Yeah. - It's crazy. And then she's like, well, you're being a bitch. So maybe I'll just go home and he's like, no. (laughing) And she's like, okay. (laughing) But then they're sleeping. - It's really all it takes for now. - Yeah, but then they're sleeping. And he's like, shoving her off the bed. She falls to the ground. She's in the cutest low ponytail. (laughing) And then she slaps him in the face. He is a black eye the next day. - Yeah, that was like a crazy black eye. And she really went hard with that. - Yeah, I'm like, the sound of the fact they used for that slap was the most violent stuff I have ever heard. - It was go down. - It was like, she can't do that with her hands. - It was a shame. (laughing) - She's more migrated. (laughing) - Well, it is funny, like, she falls off the bed. She gets off, she slaps the piss off on the world. And he biggest gun at like pulling his top. The one thing he's always-- - He's been slapped around before. - He's been slapped around before. - Yeah, the way he's-- - The way he already is like, I'm not even gonna deal with this because last time I got slapped, I learned the best course of action is to go to the couch. - Well, like, the thing is, like, Harry is like, like, doing military tactics in two surveys. (laughing) - Like, we do a lot because every time he's just like, "Enter right." "Are you up?" (laughing) "I have to confront you with my truth now." It's because Harry doesn't have a regular nine to five, so all she does is go on like, "What big had done wrong to her that thing?" - Yes. - And it's a huge save because she's just like, she's in the last nine hours, like, building up potential energy about how much big has wronged her. And then big is like, I just kind of like 12 hours of meetings. Like, I think it's all stated. - The way this is corporate propaganda. - Yeah. - It's not going to be against the truth. - You're like, if she doesn't have a nine to five, she's just not gonna be a good person. - There's a reason he was 30 minutes late. - Yeah. - Because he was in a meeting. (laughing) - She think of a hobby. There's a lot of fun. - She shouldn't have done a hobby during those very minutes. Why don't she knit a scarf? That's not to take a 40 hours girl. Imagine. Imagine one call in the week. But also big is like. Oh, and stuff. Like can't he like, you know, oh he isn't. Oh, but can he like hire people to do stuff for him? Don't they play golf? I think he was right now getting mad. But okay, she confronts big goes I just don't feel like I have any place in your room like you won't give me a key I don't even know place at your bed He goes and he goes she goes the rest of these things you need about me He was I'm not gonna play that game and then she goes I'm gonna go home now. She goes home See after all of that. I know will you finally get your truth out girl. We'll go back to that like that's when you're tired Yeah, well the problem with big is that he the problem The problem with big is that he disappoints her and then he shows up like when he didn't come to the group dinner And then he shows up to the group dinner. It's like After he's saying he wasn't gonna go to the group dinner carries already carry they like carry be devastated and then they're like Act three end of act three big comes to carry his apartment and it's like I'd love to spend the night at your place No, he's a little like bare minimum boyfriend like he won't like show up for anything But then he'll like show up a little bit. So it's like oh my god. We want what's it called now in modern terms is In modern terms cracker cracker dropping crumb crumb crumb crumb crumb crumb crumb crumb. Yeah, is it is that it can't be I think we're wrong I knew there was another syllable We bought a random piece of cake from a market last night, and then I opened the card door today It looks like we literally just cut up the cake like the way the entire cake is all not sure. No, that's and that's how you're supposed to eat it I'm like I guess that's how all I work He's wearing one of the coolest. Yeah, I've seen on the show Wait, before what culture? But I think it's also like it was before everything was on a t-shirt like now Everything's March and everything's a logo where it's like Mickey Mouse just thrown everything but back then It was like how did she get a shirt with cookie monster right? Right Like this was like very like interestingly so I want to know the story It's like when a girl wears a snoopy T as if like no one's ever tried that before and you're like what Oh my god It's a while since I've seen a snoopy T. I'm not gonna lie Well when I land in Texas every time snoopy snoop dog Okay snoopy is big there snoopy is local and I think it's it when target has like it's graphic T, you know Yeah, no, but you raise a really good point like I feel like it's like really hard For me like even now when I'm like shopping and I'm seeing like these like slogan t's like It's really hard to like find a t-shirt that really speaks because there's just so many of them that are just trying to be cheeky I love cheeky though, but it's hard when like everything is cheeky. Where are you? Were you having rue 21 in middle school? Oh, yeah But the puns on those shirts. It was like a moment in time It was also like the iphone wallpapers were all puns. Yeah, and I feel like we've just overdone it And now live laugh love is a bit Yeah, it's like too ironic Yeah, maybe that's cool now my heart's breaking. I love the love of circus. I think if you worth the right energy I feel like if I saw someone with like a live laugh love like who wouldn't think anything about it Like it would not it'd be like a beautiful person walking in the street like I've seen too many iterations of that I miss wearing like monkey shirts that were like our love chocolate What was the monkey that was like sears like sears like sold them? Yeah, that was the bobby monkey. Yeah What was that monkey called? I don't know I don't know the monkey's name, but I know I had so many that were like a chocolate mix the world go around monkey We need every monkey's back The monkey's a fallen off in pop culture monkey and Lisa Frank. We need a circle back on right. I agree It's just so hard because I feel like everyone does things like ironically and it's like That like the Lisa Frank like first wave like that was a true joy I know and now people are just trying to recreate the joy We really need to create something new that we can be even nostalgic about in 10 years because yeah Right now we just keep re-create like I can't I can't be nostalgic for something 30 years ago. It's Can do you think you're fix someone up like fix up change? Someone I don't think it can be an individual effort like it has to be like a community effort it almost has to be It almost has to be up to them like they I feel like when a girl is able to change a man It is only because a man decided he's ready to change yes It's like an addict getting clean like you there's nothing you can tell you usually I've noticed It's like if you break up with a man that's when they'll change because like that incident is like so like Psychologically like they're like we I must have really fun. Yeah, and then they're like amazing for their like following girlfriend Yes, yes Okay, I'm not gonna take that one Yeah, it's all about men and changing for themselves women having nothing to do with it and How do you think you've ever changed a man? No, yeah me either What I find it so It's a bit interesting time especially in the 90s while watching this show Because women are now they don't have enough powers and I do that's the first time they Can have such a substantial life And now they need men for such different reasons and That have become an aesthetic voice a lifestyle voice compared to a visa survival Yeah, I also feel like with millennial met like millennial men were like the first generation of this of like men going to therapy right and like Being wanting to be like developed Individuals which I think maybe makes it a little bit easier for like women today To find something they like to find somebody's willing to change yeah, but definitely like in the 90s no one was changing I think no because they used to not think um neuroplasticity they we just found out that neuro neurons are plastic Yeah, they like invented the whole like prefrontal cortex developing thing they're like you Cannot change after you turn 25. Yeah, and then it's like oh no, you can You should so I think the woman had okay, actually women can change man if they can somehow like psychologically manipulate the man Is it thinking he's changing for himself? Yeah, yeah, like they can set up traps yeah to change him But they can't do it by being themselves right? So Well, she's like not good enough at setting up the traffic thing he she's just I setting out mouse traps and big is just stealing the juice He's like, oh, I mean the traps could carry set up for big When is he like one of those really smart rodents that are just like you know, they're like jumping over the trap Like nothing will feed defeat them at the end of that mouse and your toaster. Yeah At the end of the day like big can never give carry what she wants because what she wants is a secure attachment style And um, she has to decide she is secure Right, do you think carry has to change in this and not big? I mean, we should just kill big with a gun first of all true, but secondly, it's like Secondly, it's like unfortunately Carry is carry is like the only way I will be happy is if he changes and it's like He's got her bed. I find someone Because she's like got her bed. I just find somebody who just gives me that instead of like me having to like beg on my hands and knees Carry would do really well in like the 1950s. Like she's very committed. Yeah, she's locked it And then she's trapped in the cycle of oh, I mean this crazy person Causing the big and he's not the one wrong. I am Yes, he's not giving me my basic necessity When it comes to being in love with someone but I also and after rationally it's exploded him all the time Point brings like it really is You can get yourself in that ballast room before you can even see the bar Wow Dr. Lazarus is clashed Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha we should now actually talk about the last line Basically what happened is the blue moon and you should watch a tick talk about what that means, but basically Steve is like Oh my god, I am gonna know No, everybody should always any time I watch the blue man is there more to it? Well because um every time there's a new moon a woman on tiktok pops up and tells me what it means Astrologically and like why everything's about to shift right so I'm just like we all need to be looking at what a blue mean moon means for us Hmm Anyhow Steve's at a payphone call Miranda like you gotta check this out Miranda's like It's like the jit thoughtful in the such a con imagine she was sleeping She'd be like, what the fuck? So you know working in the morning I love it. She picks up in a happy mood. Yeah - Yeah, and then-- - So the last sign of being like, you can have her take the man, but once in a while, if you take her walk around-- - Once in a blue moon. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. Don't forget the blue moon through it. - It's water. - You take the woman, and it does some rise with this one episode, but it's not that encouraging. - It's a pretty much a devastating line. And they are like framing it as like, oh, a nice little bow for the episode. And I'm like, oh, so a woman had to change for men. - No, I don't think they were thinking about it that much, even. They were just like, oh, wait, this is a great one liner. - Like what did you show them? (laughs) - You're like, hey, don't take it all like that. They weren't even thinking of you. - But I love how it's like Miranda and Steve, right, to be in this narrative overlay because they're the most equal partnered. People currently, the most equal partner couple in the show, so obviously if you're like, Miranda is the person who's getting this one's in a blue moon, you can change a woman, Miranda with a stick on her upper ass, then it seems more hopeful. First, I feel like if it was Carrie and Big and like the voice over like, what's in a blue moon? - We're like, we're riding a giant, we're crying. - We're crying, we're like, this is a tragedy. - You're right, because it's Miranda, it's actually like, okay, fine. - It's like she does new change on something. - Yeah. - It's like a completely contrast to Samantha's very quick storyline. - Oh, you're meeting the time with the giant queen, babe. - And find that a drunk queen has changed. - Is pretty, the whole percent of our rounds, Samantha. - So they, she actually changed his life. - That's right, it's true. - So Samantha's like, I guess men can change because I went on a date with a hockey player and now he does drag with his drag persona up, Samantha. - It's like really poetic, honestly. - It end by the way. - Amazing look. Like, amazing character. Is it good ideas? - Every time I have a puppet, like Amelia, Emily, or Tyler. - I haven't got a puppet with brown hair and, and use it to psychologically damage me. But I'm so strong, resilient, so it's nice. - No, it's like imitation is like the best form of lottery. - Right, right. - What we learned from this, what is Miranda do? I'm copying her look. - I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, here we have it. - But I feel like it is like something still where it's like, you can never change, like, in the way that you want him to change. - Right. - 'Cause she just asked for this drag queen thing, which he definitely was changed by her, just not in a way that she asked for. - That's true. - The women can change men, but not in the way they were looking for her too. (laughing) - Make it a way to change men. - I feel like they're all like men's own self interest. - It's like, women are always inspiring, men do something woman actually would prefer if they didn't. (laughing) - I know, we were gonna cut to our second break and bring it back to your party. Bring it back up. Which girl? - And we're back from the break. - Mina Le. - Yes. - Girl, what girl are you? (upbeat music) - Yeah, come on, come on. - I feel like watching the show, right? I was like, I'm Miranda, like I'm someone who's very regimented. I need to go to my big class at 10 a.m. - Right, you're busy. - I'm gonna treat him or something. - Yeah, it's exactly. And I'm like very like, rich and about that. Well, look here, do you feel like I'm kind of giving Carrie a bit? - No. - I know I'm transformed into Carrie. - No. - Me and no. - And that's because I'm not confrontational with conflicts. Like I would actually rather like absorb like the negative behavior someone else who's like projecting onto me rather than be like, you're wrong. You get back to go out of my face and stop staring at women. And then I, but I will like get to a point where I will explode. - Yeah. - And my psychoanalysis on myself and with Carrie about that is because like, Carrie for the events so much are not big. Like two of her friends, and they're all like tired of it all the time. But like she's like constantly like using her friends as an outlet. So she's like not able to like, she doesn't have like enough like fire within her to actually talk to big about his problems. 'Cause she's like light out like this release valve. - Right. - Whereas I feel, and I'm like also like myself included. I feel like if I'm venting about a situation that I'm less likely to address the situation. Like me eventually not venting, but like making jokes about like how people mispronounce my name. But then when someone actually does it, I'm like, he, that's how you say it. I'm gonna leave. - So I noticed like some Carrie kind of disease in myself. - Hello. - Oh. - Okay. (laughs) - Don't know what to say about that. - Me too. - She also mispronounce it. - No, that's true. - I think sometimes it's a mess and sometimes it's a hit. - Yeah. - I mean just like that, I sometimes it is a mess. - Yeah. I think she like definitely is the one who like try, like she's an experimenter, which I can definitely respect and I try to vibe with. - Work. - The way you described Carrie made me be like, I'm kind of like that too. (laughs) I'm like, I'm gonna change a girl, I am. - We have healing, don't worry. - I was gonna say that I'm Samantha Bingo. - Oh, I think I'm gonna go specifically. - Yeah, Samantha Bingo be like, it's at 28. (laughs) I'm like, I need a new sheep. Me, all of them are like going through like personal problems and I'm like, where are they gonna say, oh seven? - Like, I saw myself in her. - Yeah. - Girl, what going out? - I'm Steve, 'cause I'm really good Paul, but I asked for more to call that. (laughs) - Like, is the blue moon brand up? (laughs) - Can you do the voice, the Steve voice? I really wanna hear you say it. - Randa, it's a blue moon, I don't care. - Was that your mispid year, was that the blue moon? Are you from New York? (laughs) - I was just gonna be on New York. - Right. - I need to be the voice. - Miranda. - Oh, that was really an actress. (laughs) - Actress. - Yeah, you do, Steve. - Okay, huh? - Okay. - We're waiting. Miranda, did you see them? - Blue moon tonight? - Okay. - They were these questions, they were there. - They were there. - Thank you. - By the way, I don't have that capability. - You're so funny. - I'm not good at it. - I'm like, why did you get on the floor? - But, by the way, by the way, Miranda, I'm like, - Oh, that was better. - Okay, okay. (laughs) - You're actually the voice of your voice. - You're the voice of your voice. - Is that for voice voice? - Hey. (laughs) - What are you guys getting carried away with this week? - Well, don't be a bitch. - I'm not being a bitch, I'm just being myself. - I'm gonna go. So, Carrie's oranges were pissing big off 'cause he was like, you stink up the apartment and the bed when you eat oranges in the bed. And then meanwhile, like, he sleeps over at hers and the whole bed smells like cigarette smoke and Carrie has to wash the sheets. And it's like, you're being mad at citrus, something that's famously used to make something smell good. - Also, okay, the cheeky narration always where she's like, he, he, like, big, stuck up the bed with cigarettes. Like, that's cute because he stayed over bare minimum, right, coming. - Yeah, I mean, it sounds like he ruined the scent of your home. - Yes, also, but like, how many oranges is she eating in his bed? Because that doesn't even seem like realistic. - I've never seen Carrie eat an orange. I don't know if they immediately show Carrie eating an orange to prove that she does it. I'm like, I don't believe you, you're not commencing me. And also imagining like, wait, do they have her show big house? I forget, apartment situation. - Yeah, in this app. - In this app? - Yeah, that's where she gets the pants on the bed. - Oh, no, but like, you don't get the full layout. Like, how far is the kitchen from the bed? Like, that's what I'm wondering. - Yeah, that's where we get the Z-Sketchette. - Um, but you know, I'm like, is she really going to the kitchen, getting oranges, coming back to the bed to like eat her orange in the bed? - Okay, so for real, she would never do that. - Carrie's oranges in her 5.8. - That bitch doesn't eat fruit. - I don't believe Carrie's fruit either. - Yeah, like, that's not her thing. - I feel like you either like, smoke cigarettes or you eat fruit. - Yeah, like, you can't be both, Carrie. - Yeah. - Anyways, what are you getting carried away with? - Well, I do think it's so fun for her to like, hit in the cigar as a mouth. I mean, you have no idea that this is like, she's a full cigarette addict. Like, she's also like, why is she being a hoarder? - No, because it's like, it's a mask for the, the looking at women. - It's because metaphor, it's because metaphor. (laughs) - I may be carried away with Carrie Brogshaw, or certainly the workers, new Fendi Baguette ad. Do you guys have been watching this? - No. - So recently, I got this. - So the baguette obviously is Carrie Brogshaw's most famous bag in the show. There was even storylines that talk about like, Carrie getting his specific baguette and she put on the mouth, right? And now the baguette is picked up popular in the last two or three years, I think, again, would you say so? - No, what does baguette, what does baguette bag mean to us? - It's a baguette. (laughs) - Like, it looks like a loaf of bread? - No, no, no, it's a baguette. - I'm just gonna check it out. - It's like, you know, like coach, like the tabby, and like, uh, Hermes has the Kelly and the, the Birken, just like the day of that. - Oh my god, this used to not be a thing. - It's actually the city really like made it popular. - Oh my god, that's like, that's what I have. - Oh, I have the Brandy Melville baguette. - Wait. (laughing) - Oh my God, it's like the line of Fendi's bag. Like a specific Fendi bag. - I don't have the bag at. But you know what, we could get you the bag at. - It really is. Well, it's also a very creative bag as well. Like there's been millions of iterations of it. - There's like limited edition baguettes. Yeah. - I love it. - There's like furry baguettes and like, they should make a bread looking baguette. - But it's a longer one. - Was it supposed to look like a bread? - No. - Okay, I wanted to look like bread and I was like, 'cause they made it longer. - But it's really out there simplistic. I wish they both worked on a decent bag. I'm gonna be carrying away with the fact that it's not even more carried Bradshaw. It's just their joints of work for today. I wish it was more carrying juice. - But is it trying to be modern? - No, because the whole motion of bringing such as a perfect baguette is because of an assault effector of the bag. - That's like a thing, I'm like, why are we trying to reinvent the nostalgia, like just give what people want. Like the original designs, like I got that it's boring, but we don't want the newer 20s versions of the past. - Yeah. - Then it's like just give us the past. - Yeah, so. - I wish we'd re-create verbatim some like 50s styles that bring it up, but they're always doing it in iteration. Like, and we're gonna do a loose neck on this. - Oh. - And then I think it looks cheaper because it looks like it's a parody. It's like a diluted version of what was iconic. - Or so people are so pretty, like price per unit. And they almost spent any money on it and everything in the past was made to work more effectively. - Yeah. - It's giving, you know, like the trend in plus size clothing, where they're like, let's take the shirt you want and add like a zebra stripe and a star. - Wait, what? - That's the worst. It feels like it's so bad. - It's like so bad or it's like you want a jacket. There's actually this girl on TikTok. That's so funny. She'll like go to Old Navy and try on the clothes and be like, imagine you want a simple t-shirt. And this is what Old Navy offers. And it's like the weirdest shit. - It's the most offensive thing. - Where they're just like adding a zebra stripe. - Yeah, or like-- - Well, only for plus size clothing or there's like an all old Navy problem. - Like plus size brands will always add like skulls. - Or a zebra brand. - Yeah. - Why? - I don't know. - Who is asking? - No one's asking for any surface. - And no, like it's crazy. - It's like big and all the places. - I feel like it's like these people are so disconnected from a lot of trends. Even though this is like their job, which is crazy, because like, when you say that I'm thinking like, "Oh, they like heard the word whimsy too much on TikTok." And they're like, "We're gonna add some whimsy." But like, it's not-- - Yeah, they're like forcing corkiness upon them. - Yes. - So it's like that, like all, like all fat people want to be, like, the guard got this name. - Yeah, they're like, they're gonna love this Snoopy too. It's like, can you be fucking normal? It pisses me off. Anyways, what are you getting carried away with? - Wait, is this have to be like a carry bribe? She'll be related. - It's a subway tape. - It's literally cultural. - Okay, well, you were carried away with carry and you were carrying it with zero just in a park car. So I'm like, it's carry the theme. - It's pretty on the nose. Yeah, if you could find a way to incorporate that. - Wait, I'm sorry. I'm shivering. I'm gonna grab a blanket. - Okay. - One minute left in the ball. - Yeah. - I actually can't even listen to you when I wanna listen. - Walked in love. - But you can talk about a different character, maybe talk about yourself. - Myself, oh, I can't be like, is this what people like plug their stuff? If they're like on their press store? - No, what do they do? - And I'm like, I'll only go to girls, we watch if I can like talk about my new comedy special on Hulu. - Is it gonna be on these? - Yes. - Oh, you said Hulu already, sorry. - And I don't have a comedy special. - You should though. - No, I feel like that's like my biggest fear. It's like. - Can you carry it away with how you don't wanna stand up special? - I wanna hear about this. - Everyone's always asking me for a stand up special. - Hulu, I can't do it. - I actually like, even though I would consider myself a performer, I find that like the Gen Z star of it all is like really disturbing to me. When I can't like get through to someone and I feel like with stand up, I feel like constantly try to get through to people, right? And it's like humbling and embarrassing and humiliating. And I'm trying to like decrease the number of humiliation rituals that I like impose on myself. - Okay, self-care queen. - Yeah. - On the other side of it, it helps. Or even those babies up every day. Where's the worse? I'm telling you, do you think it's better? - No. - Do you think that it like builds character? Like do you feel like you're better people for it? - What do you think? - Have you been judging from the hour that I've talked to you guys? - Yeah and like by the way, have you met comedians? They're not good people. - You know what? I actually don't know enough comedians. Like I feel like I need more of my life. I'm getting carried away by how I need comedians in my life. - We can introduce you to a song. I do love a one-liner. - Well thank you so much for being a part. - Yeah, literally. - Or is there anything you wanna applaud? - Well I do have a podcast that is still in development. It's been in development for like six months, but at some point it becomes out. Two years to three years. If it comes out beyond the radar for the next couple of years. - Like for sure. - Keep your eyes open for the next few years 'cause maybe something'll come. - Yeah, yeah. And if anyone wants to work with me and wants to give me a job. - Yes. - Yes. - So talented, beautiful. - Yeah. - Can we get you on some sort of like show for teens? - What's a show for teens? - I don't know. - I auditioned for a 40-year-old like the other day. So I'm really like skewing into the other stuff. - No wait, it's him. - No wait, it's him. - And procedure didn't work in Korea and I'm still auditioning for a 40-year-old. (laughing) - Hi. - Yeah. - That's what I'm getting carried away. - I'm getting carried away with a lot of things. - Yeah. - It's how you get literally high-level routine. - You're not going to retire. (laughing) - I love it. - Thank you guys so much for listening to episode of Girls ReWod. Please subscribe to the Patreon. I'm sorry to sub-sac. - Oh! - I'm sorry to sub-sac.
