Mavily New York introduces a new groupie setting mist featuring innovative gel-to-mist technology that delivers up to 24 hours of comfortable, hydrated, and natural-looking skin without stickiness or residue—ideal for those seeking a seamless, all-day makeup finish. The transcript also captures a deeply personal and reflective conversation about emotional wellness, where the participants explore moments of mania, insecurity, and self-awareness, ultimately finding peace through vulnerability and listening to others. A highlight is their unforgettable Coachella weekend, where music—especially performances by Subtronics and Justin Bieber—triggers intense emotional reactions and moments of euphoria, with one speaker describing a profound “out-of-body” experience during a live show. The experience is framed as transformative, reinforcing the emotional power of music and connection. The conversation also touches on personal growth, the value of authenticity, and the importance of self-expression, especially in the face of public scrutiny. The narrative concludes with heartfelt gratitude to friends and collaborators, notably Poppy, whose soda and supportive presence made the event feel like a celebration of community, joy, and shared experiences. The underlying theme centers on emotional authenticity, resilience, and the transformative power of music and human connection.

I'm really, I've been very manic today and like I feel good like when I was on a call me and Louise had a call earlier and I kept asking for like paths on the back throughout the entire call. Uh-huh. Like I kept texting her being like I'm doing good, right, because like I'm not so manic. I was. I feel like you're not manic today. You don't feel that way. You're not giving me manic energy at all. You're actually giving me good energy. No, but so that's the thing is, but that thing you see it. I've seen your mania. What is it like? It is like nothing I've ever experienced with anyone else. What is it like? How would you describe that? I would, it would be, I would be sitting here for 30 seconds. I'd look at my phone 46 texts. Shut up. You do that. You're a spammer and you're very impulsive. You know that about yourself. Come on. You're the most impulsive person ever. Jake will decide that he wants to do something so random and then he won't consult anyone. He won't think about it for more than 15 seconds and he does it and then instantly he's like, what have I done? We're like, we told you to fucking breathe and you never do. Friday night. What happened Friday? That is a great way to put it. What happened Friday night? What started if I. I hate when you do that. I said, you need to breathe. He starts spam texting him. I'm like, put your phone down, enjoy the concert and we'll call him tomorrow. Yeah. That's all. That's all you need to do. And by the way, the lack of impulsion because I listened to my friends led me to a moment of realization the next day that I actually wasn't that mad. I was just. You weren't that mad. I was insecure. Yeah. I just every time I have this brief moment of insecurity, I like really, I thought it's like my most manic. Yeah. And it's like, but I don't have a problem saying I'm insecure, but I guess I do sometimes. And I feel like you do listen. You'll take the criticism. You take the clock and then you're like. I do listen to the clock. You listen to the clock. Friday. You did. But I used to not because you weren't in a place to listen. Neither was I my love. It's beyond. Every time I'm fucking doing this with you, I'm congested. Like the way I know that you'll fucking clock my ass if I like snort right now and I need to so badly, it's like right here. I don't feel well. It's not okay today and I'm in these pajama pants. Oh, we were just at Coachella. Like we're not giving a time line. Yeah. We just got home from Coachella. An hour ago. I say. Can you tell? I'm in merch. That was the Coachella. We. That was the best Coachella it was ever done ever, ever, ever. We. I used to. I've seen one artist max a day. Yeah. And it's like, why not lean in? Why not go at 3 p.m. Well, I know why it's too fucking long, but 3 p.m. for you, my love. I go when I go and I will meet you there. Everyone did their own thing. Charlie went at four. I also. I was like, hold on, what is that? Racking my brain. When did you go at three? Jake never went there. The earliest you went was maybe five. What time do we leave for the festival that died? No, you came early on Friday. I came early. We went at Friday. What's early? Five thirty. Five thirty. Not early. Two and a half hour difference. Okay. Oh. But we party all night. Yeah. That's why, like, if you're going to go at three, like, you can be asleep by one. Follow your bliss. We're going to go at five and we will see you in the morning. Are you laughing at me so much today? You're making me laugh. Okay. So my favorite side of the weekend. Subtronics. Me. No. You guys don't know what happened to me there. My soul left my body. No. This was in her chroma arts, Bini, and she had that Bini and a dream. And a dream. It was the best thing I've ever experienced. Like, I'm sure I'm not even kidding. I was looking around, like, it was euphoric. It's not the reason I'm so shocked is because this was Sunday Sunday night, Sunday night, the last seven. We went to 10 p.m. Sunday night. I am shocked. Like, I wasn't alive Sunday morning. I had to go home. I had to because I knew for my mental health this week, if I did not arrive home in my bed on Sunday, I would need Wednesday to recover as well. I can't afford it once. But you knew. You knew. And that's why it's like you know yourself. Go home. I'm shocked. Good for you. I'm so happy for you. I have today. It's hitting me. Clearly. All right. I think you're just low on sleep. But like, do you feel really horrible? Yes. I honestly never felt worse. Want to be a bitch. But I feel awesome. Will you stay in? I'll say. I went to subtonics with you. Yes. Her and Will went out till four in the morning and that's where I drew the line. We get back. So let me explain why this happened because it is not like you. I don't. I don't drink. I don't know. I don't know. Are you fucking clinical? I'm seriously not well. Let me tell you a highlight for me from this weekend. Should we peek and pit? Or peek and pit? Okay. Okay. I have a pet. But let me go with my peak. I had a good time. I didn't even matter to me that I knew like this wasn't your type of music. I've never in my life had more fun ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever. I had a good time. I had a good time. I had a good time. I've never in my life had more fun ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever. I had a good time. I had a good time. Or ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever in my life, except when I was on Will's shoulders for some day. I already feel insecure about like sometimes I feel like my ass is a little fat. You kept asking. Your ass is not fat. What? But I did. You kept asking Will. Do you need a break? No. And I was like holy shit, Jake, just if he needs a break, he's going to tell you. I knew this joke. It was amazing. I would also say disclosure. Disclosure was euphoric, latch. And did I not call that? I said not. I didn't want to go. You know, also everyone went. It was one of the more I loved the die weekends. It was so awesome. When latch happens, my soul left my body. I don't even remember it. I was the best. I blocked out. Let me just tell you one thing. I need to make one shout out here and right now actually two. Sydney and Caden are fucking girls. And if I could send you my soul in a bucket, I would. I would. I would send you anything. Please save justice. We can single handedly our lives. So shout out you for being great company and perfect, perfect made me literally every time I saw you both highlighted my weekend. I was so listening to music with you guys. Love them done. Love them done. I ever had and also shout out poppy for sending that up really and truly thank you. Like it was it made my coachella and I understand that's not normal to me. I am so grateful that it happened. I has never happened. Thank you and thank you, Sydney and Caden. Mike drop. Obviously you know my peak and I just can't pick another one. I am the biggest believer ever. Ten toes down. Belieber. Cardboard cut out in my room purple beats in my backpack, Justin Bieber like tatted on my wrist. Obsessed. I'm never in my life. I will be honest. Ever, ever, ever in my life. Not a bigger believer in the entire world than you. I am every YouTube rabbit hole, every YouTube rabbit hole, you've been down. And I love him down and my love has never died. So obviously this was so important to me. No, no, no, Bieber teller and it's that serious for me. High swag. I took I took Jake sweatshirt and he's telling me I can't keep it, but I just might have to. Anyway, because I don't know when the next time I'm going to be able to get my hands on the smurches. Anyway, my biggest peak was the whole set list, but special shout out to when he was doing the songs from never say never. Okay, what moment of when he was doing that YouTube DJ set, which I thought actually genuinely was so fucking cool. So did I. He started on YouTube. He was discovered on YouTube. All of his videos were on YouTube. Like the video when he did the, when he did so sick, that is like a famous video of him singing to us. Did people not on YouTube not understand that moment? I don't think people are clocking and it's like that moment to me when he was looking, looking at him, his younger self to the video on I fo body chills to.
- That was insane. - No, it was so sick. It was so sick for me when he did so sick and looked at himself. And I was like, I felt like he was really healing himself and it was one of the more beautiful things I've ever seen. - I was having an out-of-body experience and he looked so happy. - So happy. - So happy. - So happy. It was great. - And you could just tell that that's what he wanted to do. Like that is the way he wanted to perform. And it's like, yeah, do whatever the fuck you want. And if you're a real fan and you wanna hear him sing, you will be happy with him sitting on the laptop and singing whatever the fuck he wants. - I agree. And I think if anyone's thinking like, oh, he kept cutting the songs early. Dar, so we could play all of them. - Right, he didn't wanna have. He can't have a three-hour set. - Yeah. - I know. - Tell us strict. - And now I'm pissed. - But what was your favorite moment aside from the Usher one? - Okay, one mile. Like, hair was standing up on my body is when he went to click a video. And I think it was fall. Was like an intro for five seconds. And he clicked off the video and the whole crowd was singing it. And then he started like lip syncing it. And it's really like, if you know you know a moment. What you obviously didn't know 'cause you have no idea what I'm talking about. - What is fall? - If fall in love. Ooh, my voice is really bad right now. - Wait, it's never good. - Yeah. - So what? What's fall? - I'm pretty sure that was the song. - Is that like an unreleased song? - No, no, no, no. - 'Cause that's like, is it like a-- - I don't believe. - Oh, so it's like a real deep cut. - Okay. - Yeah. And also, I have so many moments obviously when he sang "Favorite Girl" because that started the throwbacks. And I really, it was a toss up. - I was honestly shocked he did "Favorite Girl." - That he was gonna do that. - And so, for me, would that be like Taylor Swift doing Coachella and seeing if she like drops the archer? - No. - Okay, what would it be like that and related to Taylor Swift for me? - Maybe a picture's to burn. Picture to burn? - Yeah, something from debut. It's a very OG, it's from the first album. - It's debut. - Or like, I'm only me when I'm with you. - It's not "Favorite Girl" is from his first album. - Yeah. - Yeah. It's OG, OG, OG, shit. - That's one of his best songs. - Should've said now. - Yes, yes, yes. - Yes. - Yes. - If I heard my, if I heard the intro of "Favorite Girl" to "Should've said now" and saw her rocking out on the Coachella stage on a Saturday night to should've said, Taylor has to do Coachella. When I tell you it would change my life in ways that I would only see her, I wouldn't go anywhere else. - I know. - Okay, a peak of mine. - Did you not already have five peaks? - No. - Is it not cast this turn? - It is my turn. - Kat's eye with you, Charlie and Will. And that's crazy because I'm not, it was one of my peaks. But that was actually the best time of my life. Because you guys were like, just come, whatever. I came with you and I was feeling not music so hard. And I think it was just like the night with my gaze. - Yes. - What do you mean the night with your gaze? - You Charlie and Will. - I thought you got real philosophical about like, oh my god, life is so beautiful. This is the first time I have Coachella like the party's just be gone. - Why would that have meant that? (laughing) - I don't know how that-- - The night with my gaze, how would that lead? - I heard gaze, G-A-Z-E. Like the night was my gaze. - How does this cast is saying the Friday night gaze? - I don't even understand that term. So I don't think I would say that. - That's why I had this moment where I was really shocked for a second. - Sometimes I think you think I have zero brain cells. - Dude, that was an example of me thinking you had brain cells. Everybody else in the room. - Everybody else in the room, I don't even know what that means. - What does gaze mean to you? - Like gaze, like vision. - Yeah. - Yeah. - What the fuck? (laughing) - When would, first of all, when would I say that? Second of all, that night with my gaze, my boys. - I got it. - Was amazing. Also, my other peak was, I don't know if this really stands as a peak. - You were on the best form of Drew Weiss this weekend. - Agreed. - And like, actually, I was speaking up. - How about with Will 50 times this weekend? - He was in, I've never seen him this happy. - Not one crash out, no negative energy. - Best energy you've ever had. And I know you kept saying you didn't want to be a host, but like, you basically did all that for us. - You were an awesome host. - Actually, you were an awesome host. You were the, I've never seen that energy. So high from you ever before. Like, that was amazing. - Yep. - You were awesome. - Can I tell you my worry? - You carried a vibe. - That feeling cannot be long lasting. - I knew you were gonna say that. - I am very concerned now that I know what that feels like. It is going to make feeling shitty this week. That much worse. - I know, I feel like I got the same way. - Pause, you should tell him about the power going out. - I want to hear about the power going out because I-- - You don't even know. - I got in the car. I said Stella, Elliot, getting the car. We're leaving the power had just gone out and I just get home, what happened? - We were sitting there. All of a sudden, obviously, everyone's phone stopped charging. The Wi-Fi goes out. My cell service is just horrendous. I cannot send a text without Wi-Fi. AT&T fixed that. Anywho. I literally put my phone in work for two hours. I had to go outside. Obviously, we're in the desert. The house is getting hot. It's your worst neighbor. - He's eight was hot. - It's getting hot. Ryan's shutting doors. And Cass is lying outside. My phone doesn't work. I had no thoughts. - No, I couldn't even comprehend what was happening. My phone was at five percent. I was like, I'm just going to let it die. Like, nothing matters. And you know, I'm really good at just going with the flow. I usually don't get super stressed. I start to panic. I am walking around in the backyard holding my phone up. I start lying on the tennis court. 'Cause I'm like, this is an open area. Lots of sky. Maybe I can catch a fucking vibe out here. Maybe I can send a text or two. No. I'm lying on the tennis court. It is blazing, fucking sun. I'm dripping, fucking sweat. I'm so hot. I'm miserable. My phone's dead. I haven't had a text in two hours. But notifications are rolling through. Jake mentioned you in the story. Henry mentioned you in the story. I'm like, what is being posted of me? My phone's not working. And then I go inside. And this is when I know it's bad. The boys were in a bad vibe. And this is a bad vibe. That's when you know it's bad. And that's when you know it's bad. Let's play music like I walk in there, staring blank, sitting on the chair, holding his phone, is your phone working? He goes, no, but you can try to use it. I go, uh-uh. And then he was like, I feel really sick. And I was like, this is making me really anxious that you don't feel well because I need you to be there for me. What were loose vibes? He'd ask us a question in the weed answer and he'd still have his noise cancelling pods on him. He'd be like, what? I'm like, well, I just answered your headphones are still on. It was just like, and it happened for two hours. It was just like on. Water working. Yeah, but like obviously when I'm sitting and dripping sweat, my phone's not working, my phone's dead. I'm not going to try to fucking shower. That won't be blissful for anyone. I would have showered. I don't know what you would have done. I actually would have been terrified. You would have been pacing around the house back and forth. So moral, the story is, Coachella was the best weekend ever. The best weekend ever. And this is us being positive, like Coachella was awesome. Yeah. Enjoy the episode with Adela. It's amazing. She's amazing. Her new song KGB is out this Friday. It is fucking fantastic. She is actually so unbelievable. I cannot say enough positive things about how incredible I think she is. She's so hot. She's so excited to listen. Okay. I love you, Pussies. Enjoy the episode. Hi, Pussies. Welcome back to Therapus, and tonight we have on pop superstar, Adela. Thank you for having me, Jake. Thanks for being here. Thank you so much. I'm so excited. I adore you. I adore you. This is like a dream come true for me. To be on Therapus. Honestly. Honestly, yes, it is. Well, thank you. Having a Grammy, I have a speech for this, imagine. Imagine it. I'm crying. Hi, Pussies. Well, honestly, can I just tell you something? Yes. When I first heard of the show, Therapus, when it first came out, I was like, I was like, wait. Yeah. And then you say, "Hi, Pussies." I was like, well, I have some good views. And then I got into it and I understand it now. The Octopus. Yeah. I get it. But I'm kind of wait. I think I know, like, did you review Octopus? I reviewed Octopus, I would, like, eat it, and then I just needed a name for the podcast and they kind of just-- Is that your favorite food? I mean, I'm interviewing you by now. No, no, please. I mean, I appreciate it. It is. I love it. I just don't need it as frequently as I used to. That's totally understandable. And college, I would do it, like, four times a week. Wow. Like, when I was like in the height of my review era. Wow. Four times is a lot. Yeah. I love Octopus, too. You do? Yes. How do you like it prepared?
- But sometimes it gets a little tough, doesn't it? - Yes, that's what I say, it gets tough and chewy. - That's right. - So you do have to actually review. - Yes, thank you, that's what I said, but then every, yes, yes. - It is an niche food though, but I like that you found your niche. - Appreciate it. - Really, really, and it really worked out. - It really did, somehow some way it really worked out. We need to talk about the fact that I just watched a music video for KGB and it's amazing. - And it was filmed at the L.A. theater? - Thanks, it was shot at the L.A. theater downtown. - And how many looks in one day? - Nine. - Wow. - I think we didn't have budge for more than one day. - Uh huh. - And that's okay. (laughing) - And that's okay, we said we have one day, okay. - And you made that shit work. - And we made it work and it was so fun, it was so scary also, but you know, that's fun too, getting a little bit scared. - Yeah. - I just was like, okay. - What was scary about it? - The schedule, just like, okay, we have one day. Nine likes, it was just insane. I like had to dance and I had like two takes for every dance shot because they were like, okay, next look, I was like, oh, okay. So I was just like, I better get the shit right. - Right. - And I did. At the end of the day, I did. - And you always do, by the way. - Yeah, mostly, I try. - You really always do. - Not in rehearsals, right now I'm rehearsing for tour and I had a mental breakdown yesterday 'cause it was the first month or so. And I was like, oh my god, I suck, I suck, I suck. But I have those moments in private. And then people can just be like, oh, that looks really good. - How do you feel better when you have those moments? - I actually don't feel better. (laughing) I actually currently want to. - Die. - Yeah, that's okay. - Me too, me and by the way, I woke up, looked at Louise. Louise was trying to talk to me and I just kept going like this. (laughing) The other day I did a run through of my show and it sounded so bad that I just was literally, like I was doing a career like this. - It's kind of contito. - I was like, call me the KG bitch. (laughing) It was just like, whatever. (laughing) Like, whose fault is that that I sound bad? Mine. - No one, you don't, who am I mad at? - You were your harshest, own harshest credit. - Right, but then I was like, okay, you know when I'll start feeling better when it sounds better and looks better. That's when I will start feeling better, honestly. So it's like-- - That's that Russian training. - That is that-- - That's that Russian training. That's that Moscow training. - That's that Soviet training. So, you know, I think I just keep rehearsing and when it starts sounding better, I'm like, okay, okay. And then I enjoy when it actually is looking good. But everything before that, scary, so scary. - Were you this scared before you did? You did like a bunch of little shows. But by the way, can I tell you, when I knew you were like something special, I mean, like, I really think you were something so beyond special. No, I mean, I know like who am I to say? Like, I have no skin in the game. But I was at-- - Can I just get in the game, please keep going. - I was at dinner. I was at dinner and I looked to my left and there was this whole group of people just watching your tour video at dinner and they were like, I look at her, do this and this and I looked at my best friend Will and I was like, do you see that? - Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. - And I was like, everybody is talking about her. - Perfect, perfect, perfect, perfect. I need more people to be talking about. - Wait, no, I was at dinner with you. - Yeah. - I was at dinner with you. - Yeah, I think about this tour. - And Owen Theo. And Owen Theo. - Yes, I love Owen Theo. - Yes. - And I love everybody that watches those videos at dinners. - I love it. (laughing) - I love it. That's really amazing. That's really sweet. - Yeah, and it was such a cool moment. It felt like this cultural moment where everybody was watching, 'cause did you have any expectations for that tour? - Yes, I always have huge expectations, but it's like, but on myself, like I know that when I get on stage, I will gag people. So I had an expectation of like, I think people don't quite understand that I can gag. The way that I can gag, which is a good thing to have. But I also was just like, I felt zero pressure going into that tour because also I was like, oh, this is like the first time that people are buying tickets. Like, I've been a performer in my entire life. I've like done ballets. I've like done the show that I was on, but it's always like, you dance in a ballet. And you get to like dance the part, right? But it's like about the story. Like this was the first time that like, people were spending their money and time to go see me. Just be me. So I was like, oh, perfect. I actually feel zero pressure at all 'cause I can just fuck around. Like, they paid to see this. - Right, right. - Okay, like, you know what this is. Like, it's me. - It's Adele. - It's Adele. It's the Adele show, really. - Really at the end of the day. - At the end of the day, it's the Adele show. So I was like, oh, amazing. Like, this is just all about me and I can do whatever I want. And so that made me feel really calm. This tour is gonna be different because I'm opening for Demi. But she has been such an amazing, like supportive, welcoming mentor that I'm like, shit, I feel welcomed too. Like the Levitics. - The Levitics. - The Levitics. - They're the great, do you have a fandom name? - No, this is a source object. - Okay, tell me more. - Like, people love names that I hate. - Like what? - Adidas. Hate it. (laughing) - I hate it. That's the worst name ever. I think like Adalians is funny. - Why? - I like Adalians. - That people don't like it. - Wait, what? - I don't know. It's like me and my fans are like. - I feel like you just need to decide and be like, this is it. - That's what I say. I'm like, this is the Adele show. Like, again, like, hey, what I think goes. - Right. - Clearly it doesn't. Like, I guess my fans is like the one thing that doesn't really go through my mind. - Adidas is giving like, hey Bastie. - Adidas is going like, cut. And I'm like, okay, like, sometimes, but not all the time. I also like, Adelifense. But that's like, people hate that one. - Adelifense is funny. - But I love that one. 'Cause to me, that's like stupid. So I can just go like, what up Adelifense? And then. - It immediately disarms people as well. - It disarms, like, what did you just call me? - Yeah. - And Adelifense, obviously. - I will say I like Adalians. - I like Adalians too. Or like, there was like Adelirinas. - Ooh, that's kind. - Oh. - Yeah, Adelirinas is kind. - Right, 'cause I am Adelirinas. - It's like topical. - Yeah, yeah. - Topical. - And you can be like, the ADR is like Adelirinas. - Ooh. - True. - Right? - No, I can be creative too. - Right, right. - I can be creative too. - Maybe that's the one. I don't know, I'm like actively looking. But I think most fandom names are terrible, to be honest. - Really? - Like, I enjoy very few. - Yeah. - Be high if I love. - I get most fandom names. The one I don't get. They're actually very few I don't get. 'Cause when they are delivered with enough passion, I believe them. Do you know what I mean? Like if the fandom delivers it like this is who we are, oh, I got you. - I think most of them could be, but Arionator sucks. It's so hard to pronounce. And I know that she doesn't even like that. She wanted them to be called like, oh, she wanted them to be called tiny elephants. - She did. - Back in like whatever, my Arion Agrande history knowledge. - Wait, but can we talk about Arion for five seconds? - Yes, let's talk about that. - 'Cause I am in a very big, we spoke about this the other day when we were going into each other. And I get yelled at every single day when I'm at the gym and I put on, 'cause I put on Ari like front to back. - You should never get yelled at. - And she walked in and she said who put this on. And I said me. - Wait, can I sit like this? - Yes, please. - But she was on the couch. - Yes, I'm gonna take my shoes off, honestly. - Well, I would, but my dogs would be out, so. - No, don't worry, don't worry. - I don't feel that. - I don't feel that. - And also you're wearing Luba Tons. - True, but they're like scuffed up. - But isn't that how they should be? - And I agree. - Isn't that how they should be? - And I agree. - You're like scuffed up. - That's it. - That's kind. - That's kind. - Okay. - But you put me on to touch it. I like never heard touch it. I guess I'm like a bad Ari fan in that set. - Are you a Ariinator? - Ariinator. - But I love Ari, I just had never given touch it really the moment it deserved and you covered it at your show. And it was, I was like. - It's so good, it's my favorite Ariana song. One of my favorite ones. - What makes you your favorite? - The passion. I also saw it at the dangerous woman tour. I was with my mom, how old was I, like, 12, 13? It was monumental. Like it's ingrained. She was like doing the whistles at the end. She was like really putting her fucking Ari in this sea, like her ponytail into it. Like she like really, like there was a growl. I was like, wow, this is just the best song ever. And then I also kind of like growing up, like not being like the other girls. Like I was like, ooh touch it. Like I'm gonna put you on. - No, you did. - I don't even know. - And you did. - And I did. - What do you do today? I did. - What are your other favorite Ari songs? - Leave me lonely. Say mom, so good. By the way, I love my hair from positions. 'Cause she does the outro all in whistles. It's amazing. What else? I love honeymoon, I have a new always tattooed heart. - Always, always, always. I used to listen to that on the way to school every single morning, back to back. I didn't even have a new tattooed heart. - Oh yes, I love, I love ghostin'. - It's like historical, it's a period piece. Like you had to be there. It was a time to be alive. I don't, I think like people who are like, you're gonna regret this. Why would you regret it? Everybody knows that she was engaged to Pete Davidson. - Right. - And that she said that he has a huge slong. That's fine. - And then she said,
God forbid something happened. - God forbid something happened. - At least the song is a smash. - Yes! - And it was. - And it made fucking history. Like it's honestly sickening. Like name be messy. Like music is the place to be messy. - I agree. I feel like a lot of people don't agree in these days, 'cause I feel like the peanut gallery is very loud. And they're very loud. And it takes someone like Ariana to just like be like, "I care, but I'm gonna keep doing it," despite the fact that I care. - Right, exactly. - You know what I mean? - Like you just need to like, even with like eternal sunshine. Like she spoke about her divorce. It's like, that's what makes people like. - Feel something. - Like that's why people ride for that bitch. - Yeah. - And that's why I will ride for that bitch. That's why I will ride for Beyonce for the rest of my life. Like these women like they said, Jay-Z cheated on me lemonade. - Right. - Oh! - Oh! - Okay. - Everybody knew everything. And that's so sick. 'Cause hey, like there's people out there that've been cheated on. I wasn't when I first watched that, but I felt it spiritually. I felt it. I was there with my sister. - That's why I felt listening to like, thank you next the other day. Like I literally, two week situation ship ended front to back. And I was like, I know we're in different situations, but like the way that they're able to chronicle, like the phrase and loads of a relationship because the experience is so personal to them and you know what they're talking about. It helps you relate more. - Right. - Music! (laughs) - That's the magic of music, baby. - That is. - And do you find it difficult ever with like the people, like talking online and like how does that affect you? - Not really because I think I, I like wouldn't be doing my job if I let anybody tell me anything affect me. Like my job is to be me to the fullest extent and like put that into my music. And obviously like sometimes you look at the internet and people have so many opinions, but it's like I was actually talking about this with my friends. Like me and Laura were talking about this. - And we were like, we need to stop like looking up our own names on TikTok. I do not have Twitter. That place is forsaken. - Okay, I recently have gone off Twitter. - And you shall stay that way. - And I used to really love it. - No, no, no, no, no, it's really scary. It's really funny when you're not the butt of the joke. - And then it gets really scary inside. - It gets really, really scary inside. I'm like, oh my God, oh my God. - And it's like, oh my God, these people like, they don't know me and I don't know them. And anything that you could say, it's like try to make them understand you more. We'll just, they'll somehow twist it to, they already have a preconceived idea of who you are. So it's like, there's no use to write it. Like it's like, okay, just let them, just let them. But that's, it's gonna free you. 'Cause you like, it genuinely is like, I think it's like the worst thing ever to understand that you're being perceived by so many people and like, hear what they have to say about you. Like I'm gonna be honest. Like, do you know who two Hallis is? - Yeah. - He would like, talk about this and he was like, I'm off social media, like whatever, whatever. And I was like, okay, Hallis, like you're off social media. - Yeah. - But I was like, fuck, Hallis, you're right. You're like, I should be off social media. Like he was on, onto something. 'Cause I was like, I started writing this album and then there was a point in time that people started saying something on the internet and it like, I was thinking about writing songs differently because somebody said something and I was like, uh oh. - Right. - Wrong, I was like, that's wrong. I can't do that. So I just, I'm kind of off. Like, I'm very on the internet, but I'm off Twitter. I do look up my own name on TikTok. - Every morning. - Still. - Every morning. - Yeah. - Every morning. - But I should stop doing that. I'm like thinking of honestly blocking, you know how you can like mute certain words. - Yeah. - I might mute my own name. But also like, I'm not lit enough yet to be like, really not looking if people are talking about me. 'Cause the conversation is important. Like I think once I'll get like really famous then I'll be like, we'll fuck it. Like, I know people are talking. - Yeah. - And I'm like, at peace with that. - Yeah. - And now I can just like move completely. Like I don't have to look myself up. But right now I have to keep checking. I'm like, is Owen Thiel watching my video at dinner? - Right. And we were. - And we were. - And we were. - And that's great. That's great. You know what I mean? - Was it hot? Did you delete after the, like the after the documentary came out or did you delete like more recently? - Honestly, I've had like waves. Like I was looking myself up. When the documentary came out, it was really interesting. 'Cause a lot of people, when you're on a reality show, and you're a young girl who people love to tear young girls into shreds. This is just like their favorite pastime. They just like think that like were the villains. Which is like. - I think they also think you guys are like easy vulnerable targets. - Right. But then also at the same time everybody like tries to be super woke and is like. - Well, if you're so woke then you shouldn't be on Twitter. - That part, I think that part. But yeah, so people were really tearing into us and not just me, like my best friends who made it into the group, my friends who didn't make it into the group. Like everybody, all these young girls who at the end of the day spent almost two years of their life away from their families doing some really hardcore fucking bootcamp training and like going through situations that you guys will never know. 'Cause obviously not everything was shown in the documentary. We're now also getting torn to shreds on the internet by strangers. So I was like, this is so insane. Obviously, and so crazy, but also I was like, it is not the time to be depressed about this. It is time to put out music about this. 'Cause people are talking about it. So they wanna hear what I have to say. And I don't like talking, I like singing. So I shall sing about it. And that's kind of how my career started. So really I was just like, I didn't delete it. I didn't delete Twitter, I didn't delete social media. I was like looking at it, but I also had the understanding that I was like, okay, these people just don't understand me at all and know me. And that's okay, 'cause they haven't gotten the chance to. And I think still, like I have some songs out. People don't really know me. Like I think they'll get to know me eventually through like all my work, but, and they'll, I mean they will never know me. Like we'll never be friends, really? We can't be friends. We can't be friends. I like to chat. Just pre-e-tend. I used to think that song was about her ex-husband, but I was convinced and swayed that I actually think it's about the press and the fans. I've heard, I've heard. And I really believe it. I believe it too. 'Cause you have a love-hate relationship. It's like you are so thankful for your fans and for the people that give you the life that you've ever wanted, you know? Like the life that you've dreamt for yourself. But also it's like, being personal is like a double-edged sword. Honestly, 'cause to me, like as a girlfriend Slovakia, like I was really personal with like the Ariana's and like the Beyonce's and the Gaga's. And like, and it honestly really helped me. The Miley's, like it really helped me growing up and like not being where I wanted to be. And like if there was a tough situation at home, like I had a place to go to. Always, yeah. So I actually love like being a parasocial figure to people because I'm like, this is something that I needed. So I get to be that for people that need it. But also sometimes it does affect you when those people start to like feel like they have some sort of like deciding power in your life. Right, that's when it gets really tricky. Yeah. 'Cause I also can relate to what you were saying. Like when I was a kid, like I would go to these pop stars as like those were my worlds. Right. Like I feel like I felt like I was them in a sense, you know what I mean? Like I would watch Ariana, I would watch Taylor, I would watch Beyonce, and I would like become-- Daydream. Yeah, I would daydream and like become that confidence that they exuded. Which is so beautiful. Like that's why I left pop music. 'Cause I'm like, this is like, it's such a powerful thing. And I think a lot of people love to think about, especially the music that I do, like think that it's fucking stupid and it's like whatever, but it's like I know from experience that it means so much to so many people. But then, you know, there's the pros and cons. Yeah. But I'd much rather be that for somebody and deal with the cons than not do what I do, you know what I mean. So you'll never catch me like complaining about it. Yeah. I'll just be like-- You just recognize it. Yeah, I'll just be like, okay, I got it. You guys think that we have a special bond and like we do. But you-- But you can't decide how my life is going to play out. Yeah, yeah. And that's why you like me. You like me because I make my own decisions and I have my own autonomy. So when you guys come and tell me how to live my life, that's when things change. Yeah, that's when things, if you listen to the people, I think that's when things stop working. Yeah, really. I agree. That's when--
Like the difference between a pop star and like a true pop star is, you know what I mean It's like the people that like then gets swayed by the audience and like start not being authentic to themselves Or you're an Ariana and then you write thinking X about it, you know, I mean When you say those words to me like my entire body gets covered in chose. I love it I love I love what I do. I love pop culture. It's so fun. I love pop culture. It is so fun Dude did and so you were a big Hannah Montana fan. Huge. Yeah, okay. So was she like big estimate of all the time So what was that like when you went to the 20th anniversary? Did you meet my Lee? I didn't talk to her She just passed by me which by the way Didn't even expect I would see her like up close like that So I'm totally fine with not talking to her honestly I might have preferred it because I think I would have shot myself like I genuinely think I would have like I would have malfunctioned She passed by me Sam my manager immediately tears. I Immediately tears. I had to wait because it was photo time so I couldn't tear up yet. So I was like Yeah, that's my least service. I was like oh my god And she was like blonde and had a little bit of a bang. I was like oh my god. That's like Hannah Montana No, she was really Hannah. I've seen the special twice now. No, it's really fucked up Yeah, and so then I went did the photos. I Passed by her. I was like, oh my god. I like I literally like Heart in my ass. Yeah, I was like oh And then I went and sat down JoJo sewa set set right in front of me so that was like also fire Like I got to hear JoJo's voice like singing a lot to the song so I was like this is honestly my dream come true And she that girl was meant to be a star I don't give a fuck like everyone was singing along singing along to this is the life, but you could just hear this is Voice like it fucking cuts through like she has a voice JoJo she's Joelle It's like I was so hyped. I was sitting right behind her. I was like yes And without people like her. What would we do? What would we do and you love to watch her and that's what entertainment is about isn't it? Yes, karma fire song fire song What is it? Fire fire cover she covered it and brought it to the new generation You heard her through the whole crowd It was palpable I think I think if I sound the other side of the theater I would have heard her but like genuinely like like it was because I'm saying like she has a voice like there's something she was meant to be a fucking star and she can dance She can dance no more JoJo sewa slander. I'm sick of it. Like she's a she's a personality and she figured it out She found her niche bows and raspy vocals. Yeah, I'm like and what would we do without her like it really like Really what would we do without her what would you do with all that free time make you smile? Yeah, doesn't she make you smile? It's true. She's she's everything to me like whatever. So JoJo was that right in front of me Joelle Joelle and I just like balled through the entire thing because I just love Miley and it was so emotional and I was like I can't even believe that I'm like in in this theater Like like being invited to this like I really grew up Thinking that Hannah Montana was like some slowback girl because they dub it over Yeah, so so I was like oh, I thought that she was just slow that oh, oh, sorry Oh, they they when you watch it in Slovakia it was like it was it wasn't it wasn't check But it's like check a Slovakia used to be like where used to be girls like we used to be together right so so I was just like oh she's like From a neighboring country like she's like down the street like what would she how would she say sweet niblets? I don't remember actually, but I like didn't know that was sweet niblets for like the longest time right but yeah like to me that's Who she was and that was my introduction to being a pop girl and then my older brother was like oh no honey She's American and I was like oh shit like I have to learn English and that's how you started learning English Yeah, it is crazy and so to me it's like again Paris social, but so needed like when my parents were fighting I would turn that shit all the way up Blast me some Hannah Montana and like learn English and my on my like in my AirPods because I was like I'm gonna be that one day like it was It's genuinely the catalyst for my career and for my life and for what I love to do. How did you learn English by watching Hannah Montana? Would you like so I basically? I found out through her that they were speaking English, so then I switched it to English like on on TV and Then I started watching all of her interviews and then I genuinely which is watch everybody's interviews. I would do like I was I was eight when I was like okay, I have to learn English because I had a whole plan I was like I'm eight years old. I have a couple years to learn English by 15 I'm gonna fly out to California. I like looked up the address of the Disney Channel headquarters I was like okay, wrote it down. I was like period I'm gonna or I'm gonna audition during pilot season. I was like why the fuck do you know what pilot season is? Like you're eight years old in Slovakia. It's like so strange, but I was just like I had a whole vision. I had a plan so I was like It's now like the time is now. I have to learn English and so I was like okay So I was watching her interviews. I was watching Ariana's interviews. I was watching Beyonce interviews like Gaga and then Slowly but surely like Honestly, don't even know what happened. I think one day I just realized I had the subtitles on So I could read and slow back what it meant, but I think one day I was just like wait. I just understand Like I was like it's not cuz you're eight and your brain is still developing and developing with that Yeah, it's like a sponge. Like I was like soaking it all up. I mean in a sense you lived with them Yes, like I it's all I would do and I would like Then act like once I realized that can understand. I was like let me try talking and so I would like see them on Ellen But I was a moment it was a moment in time it happened. We can't pretend that we can't pretend that it didn't okay on Fallen like I would sit on talent and I would sit in my room and I'd be like yes, Jimmy like Whatever like I would act like I was being interviewed and then I would like hear how they're saying their words I'm like mouth it with them. I was like one two Jimmy Fallen Generous it was like that's like that was my thing and then Within a year, I just could speak English. It was really strange if you ever need a check You should really reach out to do a lingo. I think that they would really give you the thing with dolingo is I don't think it works You don't think dolingo works at all. I think it's fake news. Tell me more because I'm pretty sure Manny is trying to learn Spanish through dolingo right now I think it's fake news as somebody who's learned an English really well like people sometimes don't know that I'm not from here I think the only way you can learn a language is just like what I did like you need to like immerse yourself You need to be watching movies in Spanish. I mean Manny's phone is in Spanish. Good Cut that's what she should be doing. I don't know if dolingo is doing that work for her I'm like it probably keeps her accountable like it's like you need to do it right, but that's really the only way She honestly go to Spain not that I want you to lose her. No, I Would guide was go with her. Got it. That's my girl. Got it So you guys should just go to like Spain or you know like South America and just like figure it out and figure it out Because she wants to learn Spanish. I think that's the only way really what I was gonna ask you was because when I was watching not to bring you back to Hannah Montana, but when I was watching the special I was like so many of these songs really to me like stand the test of time and I don't know if that's the right Ain't if that's the compulsion if that's Miley or if it's all of it But like I was like listening to this is the life So good and I was like because I remember when I was a kid and my dad Would hear no a lot you would listen to the climb was like a 50 year old guy And that's when I realized that like Miley was very universal in like her Delivery and appeal and like I thought the climb was kind of the only example of that But then when I was watching the special and I heard this is the life I was like Yeah, it puts things into perspective hold on tight The hold on tight line really gets you her hold on. I mean when she's saying it like Sam will tell you I was Falling I was like oh my god because these songs honestly when I heard them as a kid I didn't know what they meant not one bit because But you're not supposed to well you didn't know but I really didn't know because I didn't even speak English Why Like I was like really like I was like off my rocker like right it was really starting like a foreign I thought it was like music language. I was like oh this is just like what you doing you saying blah blah blah Yeah, so I was like okay, but now I listen back and I was like these songs are so Hey well written She was singing down and performing and selling as a 12 year old like she had it in her to be like this is the life
like yeah as a 12 she meant that shit she meant it yeah like wow like what a what a prodigy you were to be able to do that such a young age it's so good is out your favorite Hannah song no I kind of love um oh my god what is that one that like sounds like a Britney song kind of like oh not it's actually not good to get this no no no but that's a good one yeah I like I like life is just a party so come as you are like I love everybody's like yeah which one is that Louise I don't know everybody is rocking like oh yeah my favorite is the climb just because I feel like that it's it will always like resonate with me like I was really depressed in a car with her and my tour manager Matt and I was like so depressed and all and I had this moment where I was thinking about like the next thing and then the climb came on and I looked around you cry and I well no but I was like I looked around and I was like but once I get to that place I'm gonna think about the moments that this these moments right right because it really is not about where you go it's about how you get there you want to know the craziest part my boyfriend's dad made that song with her shut up that's really like when my boyfriend told me that I was already like like you are so sick like I want to be with you and then he was like my dad my dad made the climb I was like oh it's raps I'm in this family I love it here like I was like isn't your boyfriend a producer as well yes okay Jackson Chase shout out to him yeah I met him outside of Pachai once yes you did you did I was like do I know you he said totally got it yes he told me yeah he was like he thought he knew me I was like maybe he did I don't know weird he looks so familiar he's just like hot white guy yeah yeah how do you kind of look like how do you guys meet our producer set us up so he's signed to Blake Slotkin who's exactly producing my album and so I had just gone through an ugly ugly breakup I was like four months into it like three months out of it I was just like oh my God like I'm over this guy but also I met him on hinge I was like I'm not ever gonna be on hinge again like I'm not going there I'm not going on fuck ass Raya like I'm not doing shit so I was like where am I even gonna like meet a man and he was like you should just get set up by somebody I've always been set up by people and I was like well why are you talking about it instead of doing it like set me up and he set me up with my boyfriend and now we've been dating for almost a year happy almost one year that's amazing thanks it's actually it's been he's been so sweet and so silly he's lovely very kind he's very kind very kind and we don't make music together because I said yeah except when it's not scary like I love when somebody like collabs with their boyfriend and then it's also like a test of time like it like once they're out of it like I just love the whole thing I honestly yeah I honestly would want to one day this is my like big plan one day I want to like collab with an ex on a song when we're broken up and we're like getting hella ugly on the song together about each other so silver springs yes yeah but I think it was just her singing like I want both PO like at each other like you know somebody somebody that I used to know yeah like that yeah but like at each other I love like how you're so open and honest about like your dreams and being like I'm gonna get this because you have got you are getting it yes but a lot of people are so like scared to say what they want and then when you send people when they say what they want can get like so like well they're never gonna get that so I think it's like super cool for like young girls to see you be like I want this and I'm getting it I think that's the vibe I think also like there's a lot of things that I want that I haven't said like I would love to take care of my mom one day financially and that's really a big goal of mine like all this like success whatever is really like for me to do that one day so it's like an obviously I love singing but it's like there's things that like I think people don't know there are like way more personal things where I'm like I mean it's clear like I'm trying I'm fucking popping my pussy on stage I'm trying to sing all the songs I'm trying to hit all the notes like you can see what I'm trying to do here like you're hungry for it yes like I'm not gonna act like I'm not but there's also like a lot of like humanness and goals that I don't like necessarily talk about that much but it's like why would I not say that I want it when I clearly want it like I wouldn't be doing like a little club shows where I'm like belting my heart out and like dropping into a split and like doing it back then like whatever if I didn't want it I also think there's this like inherent thing with female musicians where the world thinks that they need to give it to you do you know what I mean it's like you have to be like humble and like gracious and not say what you want whereas like a guy can get on there and be like right I'm the best I'm the bad is I'm the best I'm the best and I think it's like when the male's like it's very goug of you to get up there and be like this is what I want well because doesn't everybody want that yes yes and that's the gag is you think like there's some artists that like don't care about it everybody cares about it everybody wants to saw an arena everybody wants to do it and it's not like it's a bad thing to want to be successful like to me that's why I again loved Beyonce growing up because she was like I always wanted this but she also shows you how much work she puts into it like I've seen the homecoming movie 13 times seriously I've like like and I think who else is doing that like Zara Larson is also doing that right now and like she's been somebody that's been working on it for so long and she's finally fucking getting her flowers God bless and like for good reason she's so good at what she does and I think that's I think essentially it's like if you put in the work not saying that you want it feels like stupid it's like so what am I like putting all this work to like not get anywhere right no and I think honestly for a lot of men they don't have to put in that much work to get there so maybe that's where like like and then they're the ones like it to brag it's like okay like what are we what are we talking about here like I'm just so confused yes but anyways I need to give the worlds biggest shout out to Poppy and every single person on that team at me I My album is going so good. I'm actually so excited about it. I'm actually. Thank God. No, I, so with this album, my big goal was just to make music that I would want to listen to. And I know everybody always says that. But with my EP, I think everything was so like, I was almost trying to catch up to the momentum that had come my way because I had zero support from a label for a good chunk of the first releases. Like I was indie. I had just come off this documentary where I very publicly got rejected from being a part of Katzai. It was just like a thing. And so I was like, okay, like I got to keep putting shit out to like prove something to people. And I think those were also some of the first songs that I've ever written. And I had to put them out right away. And so not written, but like made. Yeah. So and I had because you wrote that one song in the documentary that I loved by the way. Dream bitch. That might have been one of my first songs that I ever written. It's called Dream Bitch, right? I think so. I really loved it. And I was like, I need to ask her if she's ever planning to put that out because I really was moved by it when we're playing now. I am not planning to put that out ever. Okay. Okay, great. I'll find it online. Yeah, you can scroll down to my TikTok. But I always loved songwriting. I just like never was in the studio and like made a song. And then as soon as I started making them, I started putting them out. So anyways, all that's the same. The EP, as much as I think those songs, um, you know, they served a purpose at the time and got me to where I needed to get. I don't think it was like the most authentically me yet. Like sound yet. And also like, I don't think they were. They're not necessarily songs that I listened to, honestly. Like I really wanted an album that I was like, I want to play this every day. And I think that's what these songs are for me. Not not to shit on my old songs because I hate when artists do that because those songs can mean so much to so many people. But I think to me, it was just like, I don't think I was like quite there yet. And it wasn't completely. My taste wasn't refined yet. That's okay. Yeah. And hey, I think like this album, it's more refined, but probably my next album will be even more refined. Like that's how I go, right? So with this album, I just, I really love the songs. I listened to them. I was listening to them all my way here. It's really, um, it's really girly. It's really fun. I think my EP was like a lot of like messaging. And like there was like a lot of like, this is what it's about. And it was like, there was a lot of like, like, I needed to take a stand on some things. And like, there was like a lot of like, like, I was just like, this is my message, right? But that was your message at the time. Yes. And that's how you felt at the time. And I did. This time, there are songs where I get very vulnerable. But I also like explore like love. And like, you know, just feeling hot. And then also feeling heartbroken and et cetera. So I think it makes me a little bit more human. Instead of, I think my EP was such a response to what had happened on the show. And like, what the people, and the people are saying about me and like my first experience of being exposed to like an audience. This album is just like me fucking around and being a person, which I like more, you know. I'm so excited. So I really, really am so excited. And I can't wait to perform it everywhere. Yeah. I'm really, really happy with it honestly. And selfishly, I'm really excited to listen to it. That's selfishly like, please. Yes. Please. I'm so excited for you. I will say, I don't think you're giving yourself enough credit for how vulnerable those songs are. They are very vulnerable. And I think you really should give yourself more credit for that. Because it's not how you feel right now. But it's how you felt then. And you were really honest at a time where you could have hit away. And I think that was something really cool and something people really resonated with. It's true. I actually, it's true. I did eat actually. You're right. You're right. You're right. I mean, it's just hard when you're an artist and like, now I'm so out of that where I'm like, because they're also like the only seven songs I have out. So I think now like the people that have listened to that EP, I think they might expect something from the album that's kind of similar. And I just, I think I want to make it clear, like, I'm a person. And like, that was something the EP and the messaging of that was something that was pressing to me at the moment. But overall, like, I have had more experiences than that. And like, there's also more to me than just, you know, everything that that was about. So I mean, I don't know. I think I'm going to like get a lot of new people listening because it's a, it's a, I think a lot more, I would say relatable. It's like a general audience, which is really good. I'm still working with Alex Chapman. No, not on this album. But I love Alex. I love Alex. He did what sex on the beat. Yes, he did sex on the beat. I love Alex. Yeah. He's a key. And I love gag. Yeah. I love gag the party. Who's, oh, that's his party that he puts on. I thought gag was a person for a second. And I was like, who is that? In LA and LA. Yeah. Yeah. I love gag. I would have been like, okay, great. Me too. I love him. What are you therapist about tonight? I'm therapist about my ass hurting from dancing. And my workout the other day of that I saw you at. My ass hurt. It was leg day for me. Leg day. So badly for the past two days. I can't sit down straight. You need a massage. Yeah, but I'm also rehearsing. So it's like, I can't really get a massage. Like there's no time. I have zero time to do anything. But I like literally have to sit down like this. You're sitting like as you just got a BBL on your back on the plane. Do you know the people that go and travel to get BBLs and they have the BBL seats and they sit like this. I'm on the Turkish Airlines flight. Yes. From my BBL appointment. Have you seen the BBL seats? Is there something? It's a sight to behold. Yes, but that's what it is. Whatever it is or though, I feel like, oh, like at least I moved. But I, I'm like, there's way. But you move a lot. I move a lot. And I also, like literally, today was I woke up and I like immediately the first thing that I did, I felt pain. I was like, immediate. I went, I was like, ow. And I was, I was kind of pissed because I was like, this is going to be the rest of my life. Like I'm, you never stop being sore. Like when you work out, you should take care of yourself. You should find like 30 minutes in a day. No, no, no, no. But I'm, it's genuinely like right now because we're like rehearsing for the tour. I have to cut vocals for the album and I'm trying to also like, um, I had to have therapy yesterday. Two. And I was just screaming. Like screaming. I was like, that's really good. It felt good. I left and I was like, I feel better. She was like, well, why don't you write a pros and cons list about them? And I was like, word. Okay. So I wrote a pros and cons list. And then I called him after. And I was like, I just talked so much at about you during therapy here. Oh my god. I hear my cons. You're my favorite person ever. Yeah. Wait, that's amazing. It was pretty awesome. And then he was like, he tried to come back at me. I said, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh. Your guy's sending me. He said, well, did you tell her about it? I said, sure did. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. What is he? A straight man? Yes. When a straight man, a straight man always think that they're eating when they're not eating. I told him I was sad. Yes, straight. And he said, just feel better. What? Why didn't I think of that? I said, I think when you say that. Thanks so much. Thank you so much. Thanks so much. Straight men just have the audacity. They really do well because they've never had to worry. They've never had to worry. Everything has been quite easy for them. And I've said this to my boyfriend too. I was like, you have, like, you guys just need to fucking, like, you guys need to struggle, especially when a straight man is hot. It's unfair, unfair. And somehow my boyfriend is also funny. No, that's not fair. It's not fair. And it's tough sometimes because they really have. So he's funny, straight, talented. He has it all. I was like, do you understand who you're dating? I was like, I'm from Slovakia. Like, I'm not supposed to be in this bed right now. Right. I was supposed to be in Slovakia. You did say you wanted to try conscious. Yes. And that wasn't from me. No, no, no. She saw them. Do you like sour? Yes, I love sour. Here, these are the sourgums. They're great. These are the non-sourgums. Yeah, they're vegan.
help. They're really good. Yeah, they're vegan. I'll give you the full, the full story. Couches. Sour. Comey. Sparkly. We can. You like? I love couches. They're actually really good. Right? They're fire, right? They're really fire. Wow. No, and then you can't stop. And the aftertaste also hits. Wow. Yeah, that's the best flavor. Go for that one. Right. Right. Right. This is fire. I know. I feel like I got very lucky. Wait, congrats. Thank you. They were looking for a US partner. And I was like, wait, I, because I've actually my best friend, Brett brought them home from a snack expo two years, three years ago. And I was like, no way. He was like this gummy. Yeah. Right. And I was like, wait, please float my name by them. I'd love to meet with them. And now we're making candy magic happen. This is really good. No, it's really good. This is amazing. Uh-huh. We'll give you a few packs. Fuck yeah. They're fire, fire, fire, fire, fire. Thank you. And I don't see anything bad. And like, I just like really like aligned with like the companies like morals and like their like the way that they view life. And like, I know that sounds silly. But like when I met with the team, like the way that they viewed the world was like very similar to like the way like I want to like approach the world. And like, it just really was kismet at the end of the day. And it worked. And now we're working together. This is so good. I also only ate a bar. And this is my like real first food. No, they're fire. It's really good. They're fire. I'm so happy. We have many epochs. And there's a unicorn. Mm-hmm. We'll send them. We'll send you a big box for your tour. Yes, for your rider. Yes. Wait, I've actually obsessed. No, they're good, right? Like they're like fire, fire. If you go to an AMC, you can get them at AMC. Really? Yeah. So have you seen project tell Mary yet? No. Okay, if you go to see project tell Mary. Wait, which one is that? Is on there? Are there like two Hill Mary movies right now? No, it's just that. It's that big. So you're probably thinking that there's two. But like everybody, everybody is talking about it. And like, I was like, okay, I'm going to go to the movies. And I saw it last night. This one was Ryan Gosling. Yeah. And I was very moved. Really? Because I was not gagged by the billboard. I keep seeing it. And he's like, it looks like like a Marvel movie. No. So there are elements where it can be confusing. But you kind of just have to go with it. Would you agree? Yeah, it was fantastic. Really? Like I was so, I was I was crying. I like cried. I like a few tears were shed. Like I was very moved. I was very, very, very moved. Have you seen Hamlet? Yes. Oh. Yeah. Oh. Oh. Oh. That one was deserved. It was disastrous to me. I was like. Yeah. It was guttural. When she like that whale, she lets out when her son dies. Oh. Yeah. Yeah. I've never seen anything like that. I was like, I feel like I'm watching a documentary. That's how I felt during that moment. That's I felt what was like, do they know the cameras are rolling? Yeah, I know. I was like, I forgot that they're acting. That was the first time. That little kid acting down. Acting down. Yeah. It was so good. I watched it in a movie theater. And I was like, I wish I honestly didn't because I wanted to literally go like. Yeah. I wanted to like let out a whale. Like I was like, oh my god. I wish I saw it in a theater. But instead I had to be like, like I was like shaking. Yeah. Any other movies you've seen lately that you love? What are you watching right now? I never watch anything because I actually lie. I started to watch a lot of a lot more movies this year, but usually I would be like completely bone dry. Like I'm not watching anything. Interesting. Kind of. And it was a really bad trait because I think obviously movies are a great outlet for like inspiration or whatever. But I just like, I never like shows too much of a too much of a commitment. I'm a show guy. It's just that if I watch a show, I'm so obsessed that I'm gonna need to binge watch it. Yeah. And I can do that. You don't have the time. I don't have the time. And so it would be it would be detrimental. It would be detrimental to my business if I started a show. Like I can't do it. And then movies I just like never got into it. For some reason, like I was like, I never never in my head. I'm like, Oh, like I should watch a movie, but this time I did. I watched, um, um, Virgin Suicides. Have you seen? Never seen. Really great. It's great. Really great. I watched Girl Interrupted. Also never seen, but it's been on my mind lately. You said because, um, I remember when I when I was 15, I cut micro bangs on accident. And I posted a thirst strap on TikTok. And somebody trying to make me feel better was like, Oh, you kind of resemble Angelina Jolie and Girl Interrupted. And I was like, Okay, I should probably watch that movie. Do I think that I resembled her? No. I think they were like, great compliment. But they, it was a great come at the time. I really picked my spirits up. Okay. I think maybe I'll watch it in bed tonight. I was I'm not really drinking right now. So I think I'm gonna. Yeah. You should lay in bed, smoke a joint and watch Girl Interrupted. Honestly, you should. It's a really, it's a really good movie. What else? Moonrise Kingdom. Have you seen? Have I seen? So good. What's it about? It's like, I can't even explain it to you. You just have to. Moonrise Kingdom. Why does it sound so familiar? Oh, no, I have not seen. So good. I see Moonlight. I haven't seen that. It's great. Budapest, Gran Budapest Hotel. Haven't seen that. Another, another West Anderson. Okay. Maybe I haven't seen West Anderson. Stuff is what I'm thinking. You should, you should because it's really nice to look at. Okay. It's awesome. It's like kind of strange. Like it's whimsical. Fuck. You know what I, um, also recently saw that I was like, I really, really, really, really, really enjoyed this was train dreams. Oh, okay. I've been actually wanting to watch it. It's, it takes it. Not again. No, this happens. What is this? It's my fake doctorate. No, no, no, no. Why does that? Oh, and the fake plant. Okay. You handled that gracefully. That fly said you handled that. You handled that. You handled that movie on for movies. Should we get into the tell me what's wrong? Wait, yes, but before we do that, you need to go watch hoppers. Hoppers. Hoppers is amazing. I've heard of this. What is this animated movie? You need to watch it. It's awesome. What's it about? Like the environment. It sounds like animals. Right. Like the environment, but honestly, like I don't even, like it's kind of like Avatar. It's kind of like Avatar, but Pixar about the environment. It's Pixar. Yes, it's awesome. It's like the first Pixar movie in a while that I was like, this was brilliantly done. Merrill Streep is voicing and at she is. Yes, she's wasting a character. I might be wrong, but I don't think I'm wrong. You're not. No, Merrill Streep, the Franco, wasting a character. Yes, amazing. Go watch it. It's honestly funny. I giggled, I laughed. I almost cried. The animal's animation is so cute. It has everything. Okay. I'm going to try to convince my friends instead of going out tonight. We should go back to her house and get high and watch hoppers. I think you should go see it in theater. I don't know if it's on streaming. It's not. You have to go to the theater. You are a little cinephile. He said it's not. Do you have a letterbox? No, I don't. I actually do. I lied. I do. I do. Keep that shit closed to you. I actually do have a letterbox, but do I really like, I mean, I haven't logged like the last 15 movies. I don't log anymore. I used to and then I stopped. Yeah, I did like three movies and I was like, oh my god. And I wrote like an essay for each one that I forgot. Right. You're you are well versed in the case. I've been trying to. Okay. Do you know about the Tommy what's wrong? Yes. Also, we do have to face him Emily and say hi to her. Yes, we do. Because I love her. No, she would not. She would not forgive me if I didn't do that. It makes me really happy that you guys are still really close because that moment at the end of Dream Academy. We're extremely close and comfort her was like really something special. One thing the show gave me is friends for life. Like Laura Megan Emily. Like this. Yeah. Those are my girls. Truly. That's beautiful. Yeah, we are we are heavily involved. And it's hard to make actual friendships when you're fighting for the same spot. Right, but but I knew that wasn't going to make it into the group. So I was like, oh, whatever. You felt like they had their people and I was like, this is not the place for me. But really, it was just like, you can't like, honestly, all of us were so different. So it's like, you can't compare each other. Yeah. And we only had each other. Like the girls had just had to stay tight because we couldn't tell anybody about anything. Right. You guys got into so much trouble that one episode. Yeah. For the fenced us. I was like, really? Really? They came in that we have never seen anything like this before. I thought somebody brought a gun into the dance studio. Like I was literally like, what could have possibly happened? And it's a fenced out. Like who cares? Like we know it. Like what are you talking? Whatever. I'm not going to get mad at this. But we got two weeks off. So and the girls and the girls were so shocked. They were like, oh my god. Like, and I was like, Girl, you think we just spent a year and a half training
Like you think that they're gonna what far all of us and rehire and train for two more years Yeah, not all those spend all this budget not happening. I'm taking my two weeks off honey. Yeah, I was tanning I was like yes, like oh you had a great time Instagram was great for you Instagram was awesome. I broke up with my boyfriend during that time at the time Like I had shit to handle like I was like I was watching that I Think because like for those I haven't seen like the way they set up that episode they march into the studio And they go it's giving like I've never y'all did a girl like this in my life like I was literally like you would think somebody like die Somebody die you would think somebody died and it was like it was us posting on close friends I'm like god forbid. I have some trauma to share with my friends over here, okay? Almost like they didn't it was like they didn't want you like Interacting or like finding it was weird the whole it was weird They were just scared that like People were gonna somehow like hack us and like find out information about the project And whatever which like yes like do we break the NDA? Yes, like Yes, like like we did make the NDA's are so This and that these days they're They're a suggestion. They're a suggestion really in the day of the internet and Dates feel like a suggestion Just getting to all the brands that I've worked with and then I have to sign NDA's with they're not a suggestion I follow them wholeheartedly, right Do you know about these yes, okay my best friend met this man abroad and after only a month of knowing him and being back in the States He's moving here and they're getting married. Oh, come on Like girl is engaged currently one month I want to be a good friend and support her because I get it the man is hot But I also know from experience. It's a bad idea no matter how you shake it. What do I do you shake it? You you shake her. Yeah, you shake her and be like wake up. He's trying to get a green card. Oh my god. It's so true Yeah, he's trying to get a green card. I can't believe I didn't think of that. I'm trying to get a green card Yes, girl run. It sounds like the beginning of like an investigation discovery dog You need to be a good friend and you need to be like absolutely not you need to have like an intervention said with her family Like it needs to be like hello serious. I think something like that is a situation that calls for Intervention like you're in psychosis intervention. You're in psychosis like we like I don't like you got it Like this has got to end now. I've had friends that get matching tattoos with their boy friends after two weeks and already I'm like it's almost intervention time. Oh, that's me. That's me. I made TikTok edits to my situation last night Tick-tock edits. It was about you. You made that wait. Yeah, where's my phone? I'll show it to you. I'll show it to you It is so bad You are an insane person. I'm enjoying it here. No I'm enjoying my time this that's insane though. Yeah, but like Yeah, I mean, it's intervention. Listen doesn't harm anybody. No, but her situation is harmful. She needs to get out But now right now watch like an episode of intervention. That's what I prescribe and like sit her down Or like show her like a scary investigation discovery show. There's like plenty of that. I feel as though you're right So you're right. That's what I would do and I would and if she's like I can't see it. I can't see it I'm pressed I'm prescribing. I've never yelled at a girl like this. Yeah, that that's that episode of America's Exxon model. Yes I've been dating a man who is who is an identical twin for about eight months and now my sister has been getting really close with my boyfriend's brother I was a little weirded out by this, but obviously it's fine, but now but now she is also beginning to dress a little like me Should I sound the alarms that she trying to copy my life? It's honestly a little creepy sound the alarms I'm always about Sounding the alarms you guys need to speak up. Yeah, I need to sound the alarms every time. Please. Please that's scary It's giving a single white female Don't know what that is. Okay, it's a movie Like that Exactly that situation. So that's your prescription. Yeah, that's our prescription. That's our prescription Well, I think also I think it's fine. I've had to like talk to friends before where you're like hey like love you sis, right? This is freaking me out a little really you've had people like copy your Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah And how do they take it when you have those? I've never met someone that's been able to have a conversation like that How do they take it? What the thing is it's like? Here's the thing. It's a really hard conversation to have and to lead because like you don't Invent things, but you do invent like the mixture of things, right? So it's like okay Like I didn't invent dressing like this and like I met this person But like dressing like that and like dating this person. That's like my combo and you're like drinking my smoothie a little bit too much like like you're like like Is what are you know? Do you and I think a lot of the times you won't get what you want from that conversation because That person was is not gonna go. Oh, yeah, I've been copying you But at least you got it out, but you got it out and they know that you see it Mm-hmm, and so they're being clocked and that they know you need to just like kind of assert your your dominance a little bit Oh, I love that you need to be a little bit like I needed to hear that honestly you need to go a little bit like Uh-huh. This is who I am little like. Yeah, this is it. Yeah Like I'm I see you these these they see you. Yeah, and they're here eyes eyes eyes Yeah another set another set spiritual. Wow. Good for you. Thanks. Good for you and good for you because you need to do that sister Yeah, you have to do that. They won't stop There's this random Twitter account that has been tormenting me and my friend group for the better half of the year Like just some random account commenting nasty shit on all of our posts block them fast forward to last week I'm cleaning my apartment and wanted to help my roommate out So I went into her room to take out her trash and saw that account logged in on her laptop Oh Why do you find these people does I just want to do them last night. Oh Seconding. Yes, that's giving catfish the documentary like gossip girl. Wow Well, obviously, you better come up with the Nasty as confrontation of your life. You need to like This is the time to be petty. Yeah, hold it to yourself come up with a very clever way tell all your friends in secret But you need to like record proof. Yeah, I really hope you recorded proof. Yes, because this person is gonna lie Be like what that's not true. I was just on their account So record everything you need receipt what I would be doing is like something real nasty I'd be like let's have a movie night and we all watch movie and then like Airplay the movie and then it's like that. Oh my god. You're so much better at this shit than I am like I would just be like I think immediately as I would see that I'd be like what the fuck and I would just like whatever That's crazy, but that's so much. No that I mean, but that's some real nasty petty shit. I think she deserves it though She's been calm if she's been tormenting you really for that psycho that's psychoshit That's saying that's psychoshit that's psychoshit. That's like no empathy She needs evaluation no, you need to extract those people out of your life immediately, but yeah, it's not great That's crazy. That's what I would do. That's my prescription. Be nasty and petty being like really put your heads together and Be like how can we get this bitch and you really need to like bullet proof Receipts and I don't think you should show them like I think the accusation needs to come first Uh-huh. You need to give her a chance to like oh, I've so many prescriptions for this I'm like so ready to just go for it do it Salt Lake City Monica Reality Von Tees season you have to watch that episode Have you ever seen real house of Salt Lake city? No, okay, so basically There is a character name there was a there was a character sometimes it's hard in reality television It's very because people view you as a character and like it's see yes see Yes, but you're not you're a person. Yeah, there's a housewife named Monica and She ran a Smear account call or she ran a gossip account called reality Von Tees That tormented the girls like or in earlier seasons and in the I full body chills and the final episode of the season they Have you ever heard receipts proof timeline? Yes, that's where that's from Wow, and they all sit her down at dinner and they're like we have everything We have your perfect formula receipts proof timeline screenshots fucking everything to prove that you are a liar and So I would prescribe that and I would also prescribe like that song what's that Cardi B song pretty and I'm petty as fuck Well, you would play it as they're like To make yourself you have a soundtrack for it and then to make yourself feel better at the end of the day Like you know, like listen to mean girls by cat side because God bless them God bless them because God the mean girls Yes, God bless even the mean girls
Because at the end of the day, God bless them. But before you bless them, you have to get a little nasty. I prescribe, um, God, I don't have like a. Those all just came to me in like a real, like a real rush. I think I prescribe the nastiest, filthiest reading. You also need to call out her fucking stupidity to be logged into the account. Right. Like, you are stupid. If you're going to be mean, you can be stupid, huh? Uh-huh. That's like what, like. Right, right. So like the fact that you were both is crazy. Like you should feel like a fool. You're mean and stupid and an idiot? Yeah, you're a fool. You're a fool. You're a fool. Yeah, fool's such a nasty, nasty, if someone calls out there and says you are a fool. You are a damn fool. You're like, I am. I'm prescribing you a damn fool. But can I say please, like follow up with Codeword Adela? Adela? What happened? Because I need to know. Just say this is from the Adela episode. Like please, I need to know. I don't lie. Don't get up on the internet and lie and say that this was you. I would love to know. I need to know what happened. This is kind of upsetting because you get into these situations and you never get the result. Sometimes, sometimes I do. But in this case, I really, sometimes they'll come back, like they'll, like at a live show. They'll be like, that was me that submitted that. And this is, yeah, it's really full circle. It's really awesome. That's awesome. That's epic. Like when I was doing, I did a Broadway show for three weeks. And like when I would sign, play those during stage store. They would tell you. And this girl was like, you called me during the Glen Powell episode two years ago. And I was supposed to give you a birth chart reading. Here's your birth chart reading. And like, that's those moments that I'm like, life is really beautiful. Wow. Yeah. Impact. Your impact. Our impact. Our impact. My psychotic ex broke. No contact to tell me his dog died. I do not want to speak to this man again. But I also love that dog at, I also love that dog as my own. They're doing a sort of ceremony for the dog on the weekend. And he invited me. He was genuinely the worst. And I'm worried if I go, it's a surrender to no contact. And they do not want to do that. But I feel heartless otherwise. What do I do? You honor that dog in your own way. I say fuck the dog. Really? No. No, but that dog, but you can look at old photo. You can have your own ceremony. You don't need to have a ceremony with your ex. Here's my thing. If you go into the ceremony and then you still keep ignoring him. And like, don't go fuck about him. I think that's worse. Somebody once told me one thing that's worse than hate is apathy. Not caring about him at all. Like the fact that if you don't show up, you might seem a little bit bothered still. Okay. If you show up and you do not give a fuck and then you just leave and still don't talk to him ever again. Sis. Show up in all black. Yeah. Dress down for the dog's funeral. Have the like, we'll net. Shades. Shades. This dog meant so much to me. Where are the like Ariana Grande mini dress that she wore to Orita Franklin's funeral? Uh-huh. Yeah. My girlfriend never wants to go out like ever. This was one of the things I liked about her when we started dating. But now almost four years later we're in New York starting a new chapter. And I'd really like to get out there and have new experiences. She genuinely won't budge and is super passive aggressive. If I go out anyways, that's that's the issue. We just got an apartment together so don't tell me to break up. Sorry. Oh, she said don't tell me. I mean, I gotta say I don't like going out either. So I guess I would be the girlfriend in question. So. I'm not in my going out either. Yeah. So. Well. Well. I think. Maybe just like find a way to make her enjoy it. For me personally, I don't like going out when it's with people that I don't enjoy. So you need to maybe like really like introduce her to some really nice people. And like really like make sure that there are people that she would fuck with. And then you can be like way like they're going out to a bar like you know the people that you like. Right. Maybe. Like maybe this isn't black and white and it's not like she doesn't like going out. I like going out. Maybe it's I let going out. I'm with people that she doesn't fuck with. Yes. Do I fuck with these people? Yes. Do we have the same values? Yes. What's going on here really if you value your girlfriend you're going to you're going to listen to but also like we don't know her. So she might just really not like leaving her house for some reason. This person said that that's what they liked about their girlfriend. At first. Something obviously shifted and it's strange that it shifted when they moved to New York. The city of going out when I go out. I want I go to New York. But you like this about her in the first place. I mean. Girl these are the cards that you've been dealt with from the start. She was real with you from the start. I gotta say maybe that she was you. Oh, they like that she wouldn't go out. She doesn't like going out. Oh. I write it wrong. Yeah. Maybe you're the issue. Maybe you've changed. And then it's like, okay. Well. Does she have to change with you or sorry to your new apartment? Do you guys have to break up? I know and that's what they said for us not to say. But if there are, if they're, if you're telling me don't say break up. That means people in their life are saying break up. Break up. And the people in your life know you better than me and Jake. Exactly. So at the end of the day. We're telling you to break up. The people in your, sorry sis. You shouldn't have gotten that apartment. I agree. How long has it been? He said four years. Long. Long. Long. I need some advice on how to be more punctual. Oh, I feel like you will be, I feel like you are very punctual. No. What? Oh, you're wrong. Wow. You're giving punctual. I am giving that. But. To some things, I am punctual. Like, if there's a meeting. Yeah. I'm punctual. But if I know that I have a session and we have like a full day. I will be possibly 15 to 30 minutes late. Oh, that is punctual still. In LA. Yes. 15 minutes late. Traffic. Things are weird. Restaurants give you a 15 minute grace period for a reason. Okay, thanks. So many, I am punctual. You are punctual. Yeah. I love my job, but I can't seem to ever be on time. I just can't seem to wake up earlier than I already do. And even when I do get up earlier, I somehow still manage to run late. Because I'm so scatterbrained. I would love any advice on how to fix this. Because I really don't want to ruin my relationships or job over it. See, this is the thing that I wouldn't be late for. Like rehearsal when it's like timed or like a performance. Like he needs to be on time. I need consequences. There needs to be consequences for you. I fear. Yeah. Maybe. Maybe like this. I don't know. Like what are you scatterbrained about? What is avoiding something? Like maybe I don't know. Lay out your outfit the night before. Like for me, it's like the one thing I'm always on time to is like. Like I have like a workout every morning. Right. Then I'm like I know I'll get yelled at if I'm late. Because other people are ahead of me. Yeah. So I started to think like like these people would like if I was 10 minutes late. Like I'm like oh wait like this person. Like if I'm doing an 8am workout. This person got up early and they made it there. So why shouldn't I be able to make it there? And the thing is like if it's your job too. It's like all of your colleagues are doing that. You can't be the only one. You kind of just have to do it. You kind of just ripping a bandit off. It's your only job. It's like you need to just go honey. Like figure it out. I say find it. I would say find it. Last some music in the morning. Put on just put on your fucking clothes. Yeah. Put on your clothes and leave. You cannot. Well honestly sometimes music makes me. Oh really. Distracted. Distracted. And like everything takes a little bit longer. So honestly remove everything that you're distracted by. Lay out like literally picking out for the night before. Get your bag set up. You wake up. You brush your teeth. You put the outfit that you picked out. You take your bag. And you just go honey. But also maybe maybe just try to wake up a little earlier. Just open your eyes and get up. Get out of bed. Just go. Just go. Just go. Set like do you have an iPad? Like maybe one alarm on your phone. One alarm on your iPad. Like you have to get up. Get up. You have to get out of bed to get your alarm. Have you ever heard the song jump by Blackpink? Yes. Wake up to jump. Wake up to jump. Yeah. I think that would get me out of bed. I used to wake up to be alright by Ariana Grande for like three years. Three. At the end of the day it's Ari forever. Are you excited for the eternal sunshine tour? Am I excited? Oh my god. I said clear the space. I said. You don't understand. I mean, I don't have my tickets yet. Neither do I. But I'll figure it out. Because I was like, I'm not going to win that to Commander War. Like it's just not happening. No. I really am like. I've been to every single one of her tours that she's ever done. Like, I'm like, this is it for me. I am going to cry. Although I am interested in seeing what it's going to be like. Like seeing seven ranks performed. I think it's going to open with intro under the world extended. Okay. And then what? And then that's and then like that sets us up for like. Yeah, like. And then I said for me, when we can't be friends, comes on. And I don't even care if that's basic. If that's the choice.
clear the space, clear the area, like I need my moment, that was like me and Louise's album, Eternal Sunshine, like front to back, like it's going to be monumental. I also, I'm like, I really am interested because Eternal Sunshine, she's in her era. Okay, well, those were it for the tummy, what's wrong? Okay, yay! There's a lot of wrong with these people. Yeah, somewhat. What did we learn today? We learned that "Hoppers" is a great movie. "Lubatons" should be "Dusted Up." "Lubatons" should be "Red Bottom" should be "Dusted Up." What else? Don't be ashamed of your dreams. Do not be ashamed of your dreams. And yeah, just follow your dreams. Follow your dreams, guys. They're a pus. That's how I love you so much. Thank you for coming on. Thank you for having me. I love you. Uh, stream KGB out Friday. Out Friday. What April 17th? April 17th. That's it.
