Sensitivity and the Schumann Resonance

The discussion centers on Schumann resonances, the Earth's foundational electromagnetic frequencies generated by lightning, averaging 7.83 Hz. This frequency is significant as it matches human brainwaves in a relaxed, meditative state, suggesting a natural synchronicity that fosters grounding, health, and intuitive awareness. The hosts explain that modern life bombards us with much higher artificial electromagnetic frequencies from technology, termed "electro-pollution," which can disrupt our biological rhythms, leading to stress, insomnia, and other ailments. Conversely, aligning with the natural Schumann resonance—through spending time in nature, listening to specific frequencies, or using pulse generators—is shown to improve sleep, reduce stress, and enhance overall well-being. Research cited includes studies where absence of these frequencies caused health issues, while reintroduction stabilized volunteers. The conversation emphasizes the profound connection between human health and Earth's electromagnetic environment, particularly for empaths and sensitive individuals.

Hello and welcome to Enlightened Empaths, your community for the spiritually awakened, where we discuss, explore and connect with fellow empaths, healers, intuitives and seekers. Hello, empaths, we hope you're having a great week. We're talking today about the human resonance. What is it? How can it help you to feel more in harmony with the energies around you? And how can you work with the human resonance? Now a lot of you might be going, what are they talking about? I have just started hearing about the human resonance pretty recently. How about you? Same, and it's been around for a long time, but for some reason it's becoming more more prominent and people are really starting to pay attention to it. Yeah. So here's what we learned about it. The earth apparently has its own heartbeat. The human resonances are basically peaks that occur in Earth's electromagnetic field. So they're created by lightning discharges that occur between the Earth's surface and the ionosphere. The ionosphere is what creates a boundary between our world and, you know, the rest of space. So did you know that there are 2,000 lightning storms on average that are occurring across our world at any one time? And it is these lightning storms that create about 50 flashes of lightning every second. So you have this lightning that occurs and it creates these waves of energy around the Earth. Many researchers compare the pattern of these waves to the energy of a heartbeat. We'll talk more about that in a minute. So basically the Earth is like a huge round electrical circuit and every one of these lightning strikes produces electronic waves that are kind of trapped between the Earth's surface and the ionosphere. Some of these waves, the ones with the right wavelength, join up with each other and emit what is called a human residence. So I hope that's making sense to everyone. Do you want to add anything? Well, I think that makes perfect sense. And as you were speaking, I was thinking of how it would have to impact us, especially as empaths, because we're electrical beings. We have, we, that's where our frequency comes in. That's where all of this stuff. And I had heard that in the past from electromagnetic disassociation. And when it was explained, they said, "Everything just short-circuited at once." That was the cause of death. So I think it's, yeah, I think it's really interesting that this is all based on the magnetic field and how, I mean, this is such a huge rabbit hole for me because I think about when we go to certain places and we feel a different frequency of vibration from the Earth or you step over quartz deposits or ley lines or something, and you physically feel different from where you're standing on the planet. And I would love to see how that correlates with this human residence and what's going on. It feels like such an incredibly strong connection between us as individual beings and, and this Earth energy. It does. Have you ever seen those houses that are built like right next to huge cell phone towers? Yes. I always wonder what that must be like. Yes. Or the power lines or there's all kinds of stuff research done with that and how it can disrupt sleep. And I think there was a study that it impacted how people digested their food. And when you think about it, just getting bombarded all the time with that energy, because it's going to emit a frequency that we would have some kind of a reaction to, I would think. But the human stuff impacts all of us. It doesn't mean that if you're in Maine or North Carolina or Japan or Australia, we're all being impacted by this. Yeah. And I think that's why it's such a fascinating topic to discuss. So it was named after a math professor named Winfrey Ed Schumann, who between 1952 and 1954 discovered a way to mathematically predict these waves. He knew that when a sphere exists inside another sphere, electrical tension is created. So since the negatively charged Earth exists inside the positively charged ionosphere, he theorized there must be tension between the two, giving the Earth a specific frequency. He was able to create calculations to determine a frequency he believed was the pulse of the Earth ionosphere space. So Schumann resonances basically can occur between three and 60 hertz, but the peaks of resonant energy average 7.83 hertz. Now why is this important? Don't worry, don't have flashbacks to your trade class, this is not math. That 7.83 hertz is the same frequency of us, of our brain when we are in a relaxed state. And that's the state we try to get into as mediums, as intuitives, meditation. That's when you've slowed your patterns down enough to make more of a connection with spirit or with the collective or with people in spirit or I just, I don't think that's a coincidence. It can't be. No. So think about it, you've got the frequencies of all this stuff going on around us, right? We've got radio frequency, electromagnetic radiation. That is powering up all our cell phones, radios, TVs, computers, appliances. They are emitting this frequency that ranges from 30,000 hertz to 300 billion hertz. So if the Earth's heartbeat is 7.83 hertz, and our relaxed brain wave pattern shows a similar 7.83 hertz. But we are constantly surrounded and bombarded with these invisible energies of significantly higher hertz. It's going to leave us feeling ungrounded, stressed, and anxious. I mean, that makes sense, doesn't it? 100%. Studies have been shown that these can also affect our heart rate, our blood pressure. And think about it, telecommunication technology exists within the Earth's ionosphere. And so these artificial signals can influence and even change the human residence to resonate outside its normal spectrum. You've got to think about all these appliances, computers, TV, cell phones, radios, digital devices, air conditioners, lighting, power lines, communication lines, airwaves, radio waves that are producing these electromagnetic fields that can be disrupting our own bio frequencies. It's actually called something, it's called electro-pollution noise. And research has shown that spikes in this noise can affect the way calcium ions move in the brain tissue and affect our cells inner workings. That's kind of scary. Not scary, like, ooh, but just to think that we could be, well, all right, this is kind of a jump, but not really. You know how they're saying that because people aren't learning to write cursive now, it's not seen as, and I'm not being an old person about everyone should write in script, we're not developing the same brain pathways. So we're evolving, our brains are evolving in a new direction because we're not doing some of the things that cause those original neural pathways to develop. And to think that we're getting bombarded with all of this energy constantly, because even think about when you shut your cell phone just at one item off or you leave your cell phone in another room. There's a calm around that sometimes, of not constantly having it there. And then the people that are totally addicted to that constant, is it causing an addictive buzz kind of reaction? That's true. I remember reading an old romance about a night who time travel to the present day. But the one thing that stands out in that book, when he was in the present day, he was most shocked by the constant humming, thrombing of noise. That's why he had to ultimately go back to his own time, people. It was not a happy ever after. He had to go back to his own time because of the noise. And he said, even when it was silent, he could hear noise. And you know, you think about that. If you are in a room with all this stuff, there is a kind of a humming that goes along with all of it. And I think what scares me a lot is that it's invisible. So you're not even aware of it most of the time. And again, not to sound like my 10-foil hat is too tight. All the smart appliances that people have added into their homes, that you can, or you can start your car with your cell phone, or you can program your stove from three rooms away, or whatever it might be. Is that changing it as well? Is that adding a different layer to this electro pollution noise that you were talking about? That's so true. Well, you know, NASA has looked into this and their studies into the human resonance have shown that cells grow faster and stronger and live longer when exposed to low frequency, pulse, electromagnetic fields like the human resonances. So I think that's really interesting. What's happening to our cells then when they are exposed to these much higher frequency resonances from all these tech gadgets? As empaths as sensitive, if we are so highly sensitive to being in the same room with certain people, we know that we're impacted. We know we're impacted by other people's energy. It would just, well, it feels like common sense that we would be impacted and may not be aware of it, but it could be something to pay attention to. If you go into a home that is constantly buzzing with all of that kind of energy, do you feel differently? Does it not impact you? So maybe paying attention to your surroundings and how you as an individual and as an empath feel around that stuff could be big, but it goes always goes back to my default to get outside and get away from it if you can. Yeah, exactly. You know, I just read a study last week that showed 60 minutes in nature does as much for your mental and physical health as a week's worth basically of meditation or therapy. Just beating and they had a very specific not had be 60 minutes at a time. Well, that would be interesting if there was a way to measure, we're going to use being in the woods as an example and all of the trees, the plants, or everything emanates in energy as well. And if you're very sensitive and a lot of people are they can feel that that individual energy and that collective energy from the woods, the trees, the water, it's very much there. I wonder if they've ever compared when the frequencies are high with the like those bombardments in the human resonance when the herzes are so high, is there a different energy emanated from things in the natural world to try to counteract it? That would be interesting to learn about. That would be interesting. Okay, well, I did find this anytime there are irregularities in the human resonance, we are going to experience physical, psychological, and behavioral issues, which can be anything from fatigue and stomach issues to insomnia and high stress. So I would imagine that would also relate to the animal kingdom in the natural world. In 1990, a study was done in St. Petersburg that showed an increase in heart attacks at 14 hospitals they looked at for this study during a spike in the human resonance. Oh my. Yeah, so I mean it really does affect us. Early Russian cosmonauts lost 80% of their bone density when they spent extended periods outside Earth's magnetic field. So to counter this, they develop human wave generators at 7.83 hertz for space flights that helped overcome this. Okay, so again, putting it, putting the person in alignment with the resonance, but also that Delta frequency, which makes us more receptive. Yeah, which is so funny because like, I don't know when this was. Time is so different now. Six months a year ago, I don't know. I was trying to fall asleep, I couldn't fall asleep, and I was like, well, let me just find one of my meditations I like on YouTube. I have a couple of say of them saved. So I open up YouTube and the first thing that pops up is the human resonance music. And I'm like, that's weird. That keeps popping up every time I open up this YouTube app. So I clicked it and it's an odd or pretty sound. I've even listened to it. It's just like this odd humming. And for some reason, it just instantly calmed me. And I was like, why am I enjoying? I couldn't. It was like a break between my heart and my mind. You know, my heart was like, oh, this is good. And my mind was like, this is so weird. And then I clicked on the comments. And the comments kept me awake because it was fascinating. People were like, how did this pop up on my YouTube page? Or I have no idea why this is here, but I'm listening to it. And I'm suddenly feeling calm. And reading the comments was more interesting than even doing the research for the show. So I've gotten into the habit of listening to that a lot when I fall asleep. But you can also purchase a Schumann resonance pulse generator online. They're not, I mean, even Walmart sells them online. Everyone. Yeah. And they're not that expensive. They can be, you know, everything. It's a huge range. But I thought that was really interesting because I read this study, listen to this title, the subjective and objective improvement of non-invasive treatment of Schumann resonance and insomnia. But that study proved that when people listen to the Schumann resonance before bedtime, they were able to fall asleep and stay asleep much better. And so it's now being looked at as a method to help treat insomnia. Okay. So if we go back to what you said a few minutes ago, of if there are irregularities in the Schumann resonance, there's a propensity to experience physical psychological behavioral issues. And insomnia and high stress were listed on the potential, you know, fatigue, stomach issues, insomnia, high stress. A lot of empaths from what I understand may have that counter of suffering from stress and insomnia. It seems like a lot of folks have been having a difficult time with both of those lately. So it would be interesting to see that that correlation as well of using the Schumann resonance. Is that, is it the more empathic and sensitive you are to your environment or to other people? Is it going to have, you know, you have to build up a tolerance for certain things. I wonder if listening to this helps regulate that tolerance in yourself. That's interesting. I bet, I bet so. I bet so because what they're showing is that when we're able to tune into Earth's heartbeat, we feel more relaxed. We experience better health, improved memory, increased energy. People also report fewer headaches, decreased stress, better balance. Which comes along with if you're feeling really tweaked and out of sorts, if you do have the opportunity to get outside. And I mean, I really just feel so vital right now, but goes back to it again, what you said a minute ago of 60 minutes in nature, recharges you in a way that a lot of things won't. And those are exactly what happens. It's how many times if you've been in a bit and say, Oh my gosh, I just need to clear my head, I have a headache, I have this. And then you go for a walk outside and it's like, Oh, I just must have needed some fresh air, but maybe there's something more to that. Yeah, I think that there is for sure. Now, sometimes these Schumann residents is peak at much higher than normal frequencies. And that's not good. For example, when we kicked off the New Year in 2017, the Schumann residents reached frequencies as high as 36 hertz. And I think it was even higher at 1.20, 20. Scientists were perplexed because the highest range for the Schumann residents at that time tended to peak at 15 hertz. So many believe that when the Schumann residents is this high, it creates a lot of stress on our central nervous system. You can actually Google it and every day you can check the Schumann residents and see if it correlates with how you're feeling. Okay, so now I do need a 10-fuel hat. I wonder because not everyone is as kind and open-hearted as you and I and our listeners are if there are people who try to manipulate the Schumann residents. Could that even be a thing? Oh, I mean, I'm open. It could be who knows. Right. But if it causes that reaction and causes that stress in the central nervous system, that's a really uncomfortable thought for me. Yeah, that is very incomparable. Huh. The good thing though is that the Schumann residents, if you work with it and you learn to listen to it and attune to it, it really does help support our brain. It helps us to just feel more grounded. A lot of this research reminded me of the research we did for our grounding show. Doesn't it seem and feel similar? Very much so, yes. Yeah. So all right, here's some research I did that helped me understand this a little bit better. There was an article I read by Dr. Etton called Gifts of Mother Earth and he says that these Schumann residences are important because they induce brain states to relax, heal and help us perceive Earth's energies. He said the system works in the same way as attuning for works with sound. So I thought that was a really good metaphor. And he explained two frequencies influence each other when they resonate. This means that one frequency can help smooth out or harmonize with the other. So I read this other example on biological medicine institute.com. It said if for example you strike a tuning fork of 100 cycles per second and bring it near another tuning fork of that same frequency, the second tuning fork will be set in motion. Even though it hasn't been struck, the second fork will begin to vibrate and radiate a sound merely by being in the same field as the vibrating tuning fork. So like the tuning fork example, evident shows it is possible for the brain to detect tune into and respond to a Schumann resonance signal. Another example of resonance is demonstrated when a singer breaks a glass by singing at a certain pitch. The frequency of that tone matches the natural frequency of the glass and then it shatters. See that is, I don't even know where to go with that, but I'm just very taken with this whole topic. I know, me too. Me too. The geek side of my brain is very happy with this. Okay, I read some other research. This was done by a Dr. Jacoby at the University of Dusseldorf. He showed that the absence of Schumann waves creates mental and physical health problems in the human body. Now this was something I didn't really understand in these because sometimes the Schumann resonance goes off the grid or isn't recorded. And I don't, I really did try to research this with my non-scientific mind and it was hard for me. But I've seen online a lot. It'll say like Schumann resonance is off the grid today or Schumann resonance couldn't be recorded today. Does that mean in that moment there's no lightning? I don't know. But he showed that when there is an absence of these Schumann waves that it creates mental and physical health problems in the human body. So then Professor Weaver from the Max Planck Institute, he began a study where he built an underground bunker that completely screened out magnetic fields. He then had student volunteers live in the bunker for four weeks where they were hermetically sealed in this environment. Throughout the four weeks, Professor Weaver noted that the students circadian rhythms diverged and that they suffered emotional distress and migraine headaches. Considering that they were young and healthy, no serious health conditions presented, this is kind of odd that their immune systems will become compromised that they'd be feeling so stressed and out of whack. So Weaver then added the Schumann frequency back into this sealed in environment and the results were astonishing. After only a reef exposure to 7.8 hertz, the volunteers health stabilized mentally and physically. Wow. As you were speaking, I was thinking about the cruelty of putting people in isolation or isolation deprivation or any of those things that we do to cut ourselves off from everything and how that really does impact. So if you've ever done any type of a float tank or a situation where you've tried to purposely shut yourself off from stimuli, it does impact you in a positive way at first, but then I would think with a prolonged time or exposure, it wouldn't be a healthy choice. Yeah. So that's interesting with that heartbeat of the earth and I keep reverting it back to, you know, the rhythm of a shamanic drum beat is resonates with timing of it and the heartbeat of the earth. So it all feels very, very tidying together. It really does and it just makes me think about what am I swimming in throughout the day and at night? Do you have a TV in your bedroom? No, I never have and I didn't want my kids when they were younger, which was a lot of arguments over that one. Oh, I bet so. Do you have your cell phone in your room? I do. Yes. And I know I shouldn't, but I do. I use it as an alarm. I'm the same way. I have my cell phone in my room. I do have a TV in my room. I'm not willing, ready or able to give up either, but I think about, oh, oh, it's funny because with the cell phone, I didn't when I had a landline. Yes. Because I don't have a landline anymore. So I, I know it's that pit. Someone might need me at three o'clock in the morning. That's me too. So that's why it's in there. It's not too lay there in scroll or whatever. But I think that that's for a lot of people when they gave up the landline, that changed their dependency on the cell phone. Yeah, I agree. And then it's, I think about that because it's kind of close to your head, even though it's, you know, on an end table, but it's, I don't know, I think about that stuff probably too much. But you know, all of that stuff is affecting us. And then I read a study that it's that said, standing in front of the microwave offers or it presents no harm at all study shows. I mean, don't you ever read all this stuff and you're like, well, what is true? Right. Okay. So tying it in with, I wonder if there's a difference in dreams during different frequencies of the Schumann resonance. Oh, that's so good. That would be a really good study. And that's something, I mean, if you, like I said, you can, you can google the Schumann resonance and see what it looks like every day. Like, there's this one link I found and it just has a calendar of the month and it shows you the wave motion for each day. And it would be interesting to look at your dream journal and see if it corresponds to the Schumann resonance of that day. Like, if it's high, do I have more dreams or less dreams? The fact that we're having more intensity with natural disasters and events in the world is that impacting. So as we're recording, we hurricane Ian just went through the southeast part of the United States and through Cuba. That is a huge huge huge amount of energy. And you can go back and look historically what the resonance was during certain times or there must be a record of it. Yeah. Yeah. You can type in the date. It's really cool. This thing called the internet. You can find anything on there. But you know, it just makes you think about all of this stuff that could be influencing and affecting us and how it's more crucial than ever for us to get back to nature, back to grounding, back to our source and back to the things that work for us. But listening to 7.8 Hertz, whether you get a pulse generator or you just listen to it on an app or YouTube, that's not hard. It's nice to find something where there's an easy fix. And I think that's that's a really, really good thing. But also just to kind of be aware of I gosh, this is one more thing for M pass to be aware, right? To these because like first of all, we have to think, okay, are these emotions mine or someone else? Did I pick this up from someone I was working with today? Now we got to add all these different frequency waves going around. One of the best crystals to help with that is fluorite. Did you know that? I did know that. It's one of the best EMF blockers. So you can always keep a fluorite near your TV or phone, any anything that emits a lot of EMF fluorites. Really good for that. But I do have my cell phone in my bedroom and I will tell you that when I want on coast to coast, you have to record those shows on a landline. Don't ask me why everyone's asked me that. It's just the way they do it. So I haven't had a landline in years. So I had to buy one and you know, have the cable guy put it back in the landline thing. I unplugged that the day, like I think the minute after I finished that interview, the amount of spam calls I got. And I was like, oh, that's why I got rid of you. Oh wow. Yeah, I had it plugged in for like two days and it rang constantly with spam calls. Oh my goodness. So anyway, anything you want to add about the human resonance before we wrap up? Well, I think that we covered a lot and we didn't really give a lot of tips on this. I think this was more of something else to take a peek at this. If it's interesting to you or if you find that you're incredibly sensitive and needing more of a connection, it might be, you know, similar to we use the proverbial, oh, reverse retrograde. Maybe it's, oh, shumans off today. And that could be something that we could pay attention to so that we know this is a good day for me to take extra care of myself. Yes. Does it ever make you think about the Truman show? Yes. You know, like when he, when I was describing like the earth is this fear, you know, based on shumans research when he was saying the earth is a sphere within a sphere and that ionosphere serves as a boundary to space. The first thing I thought of was the Truman show movie. But I haven't thought about that in years. But again, we're not scientists. This is stuff that we both read. We're really not. But just think about, you know, where that that fade at alpha places for you. And when you feel your best and maybe that is a good place to start with your exploration of this topic. Well, we hope it's given you definitely something to think about and reflect upon and maybe just bring up a dinner, you know, because I don't think a lot of people have really dove so deeply into this. And so I think it'll be, it'll make for interesting conversation. Yes. We hope you guys enjoyed listening. Please remember as always to show up, do great work and share your light. Take care.
