Season 7, Episode 18: Understanding Amazon's advertising advantages (with Adam Epstein)

Tekstissä on aluksi mainoksia, kuten 99 euron nurmikkoleikkuri ja Karpalakt-tuotteet. Pääosa on kuitenkin keskustelua Pittsburgh Pirates -pesäpallojoukkueen bullpenin ongelmista.

Justin Wilson, 208, Vinma Zoro 281, Jemar Gomez, 335, anyone he threw out there could get the job done. This team doesn't have one guy that you are completely confident in. - I mean I am pretty confident, soda would be. - I just see he was a victim last night of being overused and they can't afford to do that. Santana, I don't know what they do with him. - But I also don't think he's a closer boss. - What? - Yeah, I'm sorry. But I also don't necessarily want to mess the closer. - The one who has the Clorox wipe sitting next to you, you just went straight into microphone. - No, I didn't. - Look at the replay. - That's a while, I ended up in microphone. - And you're gonna leave, you're gonna leave your phone. - You're gonna leave your phone. - That phone padded thing there. - That's okay, becrowling. - Crowley's giving me COVID before by that. - So you're gonna give him back to this? - There you go. - This is retribution for that. - Your phone's clean. - But we'll take a look at the replay and you went straight into it. - I want Soto as an eighth inning guy, Bob. I want a new closer. They don't even have a closer. They go back and forth. They wanted Santana. I'm sorry, I like Santana, but it's time to go. - I have no idea what it is. - Please, let's get this over with. - Let's get this over with. - I don't know and I don't care anymore. It's time. And I don't want to watch Ramirez again. I'm watching from under the covers, seeing what the hell's gonna happen with him. - Yeah, they already made a move to get rid of Justin Lawrence. I think they have to release at this point, bring up Mattson back and just say, see what he's got now. He's been, how many days have been down in the minors? - Because I don't think you can make the kind of, at least not yet. - Why not, Bob? - Because I think teams that are in contention, still want to believe they're in contention and not going to mess up something good for them. If you want a good reliever, you're going to have to find somebody on a team who's really struggling right now. - Yeah, Boston. - Okay, Boston, but still, only two months into the season, there are four months left. I still go back to the Colorado thing when they run, like 22 and 1, the rest of the last part of the year to get in. Teams do not want to admit they're out of it yet. - I mean, the last we saw of Ollie Mattson, he was getting, let me see here. When did we last see him, Bob? - He was getting pounded, so they sent him down. - Yeah, he was getting pounded by the fillys as what was happening. And that's your answer? Are you just going to give up on a trade? - I'm not saying I'm giving up, I'm saying it's hard to make them. - It is hard to make them, but that's why they're paying Ben Charent in the big buck. - All right, until you do that, what is the solution then? - I guess I would use Maginsky in places like you just said. Now that he's back there, but I'm not sure a guy who's allowed 80 based runners in 55 innings is suddenly going to transform your bullpen, but I would give him a chance. - At this point, you have to try everything and see if the role fits him, you never know. I mean, guys like Matt Lanson, not all these guys started as closers. They ended up hand-rehand, Williams, you can go back and look at all the people. They've moved around to finally even Jason Grilly. So you're not necessarily a closer. You become one on teams that need them. And if you're good enough, you can handle the situation. - Thank God for Dotaelli. Wasn't even Pitchin well in the minors, nor was he a reliever in the minors, and now suddenly he's one of the most important arms. - Which is why last night, Maginsky hadn't been used. It's critical, you can't blow that game. Dotaelli did not pitch last night. He could have pitched tonight as the piggyback, if that's what you're going to do. to do. So does out tonight, by the way. Of course he's a camp pitch tonight. And Santana, you can't go to him because he's someone broken at this point. So what do you do? So let's say you play the piggyback game tonight. Let's say Jared Jones goes five and then Majenski comes in. He goes three, but through the 30 things. It's a little. It's hotel or who? Who? My mom's not going to be do tell because he says three innings on Monday. Or two, it'll be Carlton Cisk is going to come into the game. I don't know. I listen to red socks. Here's the thing about them. They're eight games under, which is not insurmountable. No, they've done it before, but they're eight games under and they have young arms that they want to get a look at here. They're a team and it's not just Chapman. As we heard our friend Mac Clement said, it's wit luck out of that bullpen as well. Bob, they're in last place. They're 10 and a half games out of first. Again, two months in not insurmountable. I know, but they're in a division with a division with the rays and Yankees. How are they going to make up ground? They're just not that good. They're 10 and 20 at Fenway. Okay. Are you making that call sure? I'd make you offer your number two prospect. No, I'm not going to go that far. You're not. Isn't it the Florentino kid in singing about Florentino? I just for one year, I want you to do it. I'm going to wait and see how this progresses. There's still time. The pirates have another top five picked this year. They're four months basically left in this season. I want to see, you know, they're still right in the middle of things. Still in second place. They followed a third last night. I don't know. It's so jam packed. They felt the third. Okay. But they're in a eight game win streak away from what taking over the pirates if they should get a eight game win streak. They just how are you going to do that with a short five game win streak? They had a right there. They're due to have one. Yeah. And then the bullpen came in the bullpen game and they overcame the bullpen in that 10 nine. A few days ago. Both. Yeah. What do you do if you can't consummate a trade for any of these kind of guys you want? What do you do? There are not many internal answers here. Every guy in triple A that has not been called up yet. I call up. I get first of all I get rid of Santana and bring in somebody. I don't know who it is. Oh, burrows is a near array right around one five. Oh, burrows trade back for Mike burrows. Put them in your bullpen. I'm sure barco is get Ken burrows. The former Houston oilers corner back and put them in your bullpen. I don't care. Stop putting stop doing what you're doing. That's number one. Stop the insanity and then into their credit a little bit. They have how many guys have they gotten rid of who were in their bullpen so far? Or Keegan or Keegan Barco Lawrence. I think that's it. And they need to get rid of probably Santana and burrows. So basically I don't know. 75% of the opening day bullpen either has gone by the wayside or needs to go because they can't pitch. Maybe I do some wild experiment like put Chandler back there and Maginsky back in the rotation at some point. I don't know what I would do. Of course a guy who walks everybody is throwing balls to the backstop might not help the bullpen. I don't know Bob. It's a good question. That's why they need to get somebody. Well Ben Sherrington knows it. That's why he's apparently looking around trying to survey teams. They may make a move for a guy you probably haven't really heard much. That's fine too. Yeah. Any at this point new blood would help I think at least to stop the bleeding for one two nine two eight ninety three seventy nine two eight ninety three seventy. What is running through your mind? As you watch the pirates really squander a chance here. I mean it gets to the point. Yeah. It's still early. They've played what 62 games I think. They played 62 out of one 62. There's 100 games left. So you're five and a half out. You're seven back in the lost column to the brewers. The idea should be to win the division and you should be like two back of the brewers. But you're not because of what's happening in your bullpen. I don't see it getting better. Greg Brown at the end of the broadcast last night said the pirates know it. And they're trying to address this situation right now with internal and external options. Who else is in Indie limits? Yeah. He said that this morning on the on the morning show as well when he joined out of and door ending. Call us. What about this Bob? How about call up Bethel Park's own Justin Maesu out of one twenty five ERA or opponent average in May and just a 284 do it. ERA. I got an answer for you. No, it's too early. How about Seth Hernandez, Bob? You think he might help? They're not going to do that. Would you? No. Pretty soon. I still think again. Where is he right now? Single. Hey, still. Hi. Hi. I just think wouldn't that be an unbelievable call woman legitimately unbelievable. Yes. When is the last time? A 19 year old pitcher from high A is the pirates to pitch out of the bullpen. Huh. I just think they're going to have to figure out put pressure on these guys to try to work themselves out of this. I don't know how else you do it without making a trade. If they can't make a trade then somebody has got to just pick up the slack here and who will it be? I think Sisk based on the fact that he hasn't been as beat up as some of these guys. You may be the guy now. Who are the best pictures at AAA? Can somebody please tell me that? And I don't care if their starters are relievers by the way. Like, do tell just pick somebody out of their rotation. Is Barco is Barco pitching well there? Yes. You can't throw them in the bullpen. Why? You can't do it because it's been an absolute disaster every time you throw them in there. He's been one of the problems. His role needs to be as a starter. You're right. You're right. You're right. Give me another name. It again. Mike. Tell him what happened. He's harmless. Harrington. Is he doing anything? He stinks. Bob. He's own four with a 65080. But I do agree. Bring him up Antoine Kelly is pitch better. I don't know who he is. Bring him up. He's a starter, but they could use him in the bullpen. How about Carson Fulmer? Is he related to Philip Fulmer? He has a six to eight. He all right. Bring him up. Bring him up. How about Michael Darrell Hicks? Who's he, Bob? Is he related to Jordan Hicks? I don't know. He's bounced around before. Jose LaSorsa used his upward mobility clause and is trying to sign with a team to get out of AAA and Annapolis. I guess they just don't want to call him up here. Bring him up. How about Gerard Bayless? Is he related to Skip Bayless, Bob? Bring him up. Is he still a person? Let me know if he's still pitching for them. He's an array of eight. Find him and bring him up. How about Chris Devensky? Who's he? He was. Jose LaSorsa. He related to Joe. Who was Tommy O'Leary? So the receiver for Pimp. Was there anyone on the injured list right now who were forgetting about? No. I don't know. Chris Devensky is on the injured list right now. Okay. No. He's not any good. How do you know? Bo Barrows, 190, 90, R.A. and 18 games. So if they're related to Bo Bennett, bring him up. They'll get hurt immediately. Bring him up. See, Bob, they got to call up Mice, Bob. They call up the local kid. It'll be like David Bednar. Justin Mice. You're right, Limits. That could lead to all kinds of promotions. Good, netbub? If this was just a couple of games that this has happened to, that's fine. But the fact that it's just been largely how they are where they are. This team could be really, they have a top five hitting team. They're starting pitching generally has been very good. And yet here they are. And it's all really traceable to the bullpen. These are games you're going to look back on and say, if only this would have happened. Well, there's time to end it. He better be working the phones. Yeah, I don't care if it's some obscure find somebody else's triple A guy. Somebody you identify just just do something. Do anything. This is unwatchable at 412 9289370 fan Twitter brought to you by South Hills Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Route 19 Peter's Township. Text line brought to you by Edgar Steiner and Associates personal injury law firm. Well, they always say there's never a fee unless we get money for you. The morning guys, we're talking about this being a top five team in all of baseball the other day. They're not, not with this bullpen. That's what's holding them back. Do you agree with that, Bob? Well, I think they're top five the way they've approached offense. They should have a really good lineup. Are they at top five team in baseball? Well, again, not with this bullpen doing what it's doing. You have to be able to close our games. Would you pick up Bailey falter off waivers and put them in the bullpen? Yes, I would. I would. Yeah, you wouldn't. Why not? I've seen too much of him to make me think it's just be more the same, but it seems like he is good at PNC Park and pitching for the pirates and all the idea of pirates. Get him in here. I stole it from the text line. But yeah, I would agree. They should get him in here. Why not, Bob? Like, I guess he was a, he was effective here. They traded him for Evan's sisk. Why don't have it be like the Andrew McCutchen trade. You acquired Brian Reynolds and you bring Andrew McCutchen back and he has a couple of a decent years for him back. McCutchen to pitch at this point. Bob, maybe you can have Rady Tiles pitch for you. I can't be any worse in the bullpen, right? Remember, he pitched two out of three games at one point. Remember that. And that led to the Noah Hiles Derek Shelton back and forth. When he asked, what about Tiles pitching? Do you remember that, Bob? Yeah, and he got a little hurt. Yeah, more than a little hurt to a backrest. The Noah Constructor really irritated Shelton with that one. But that was, that was Tiles pitching, I think, two out of three games or something absolutely ridiculous like that. That bullpen looked good compared to this one, didn't it? Yeah, it's, it's, it's just, it's got to change. I don't know how it changes. I don't know what we're going to do with bed now. Right? No, no, no, no, probably a little fresh. Probably a little fresh. How do you find this? I don't know what we're going to do with bed now, right? No, no, probably a little fresh. I couldn't find the other one, but I did find this one because our system, Bob, after a year, by the way, the audio in our system goes away. By the way, what about the David Bednar trade? What were we doing there? Nothing. It was hard. horrendous. They traded him away for a catcher who can't line up because the starter's hit 130. He's their fourth best catcher in the system. Why'd they do that, Bob? Because they certainly had their doubts about Henry Davis's bat. There it is. Certainly had their, there's the grand slam. That was great stuff. That was great drop. Was pretty spectacular for someone who's hitting 131. Some people were mad about the bat drop because of that. I loved it. I loved it. It's form of frustration. I would imagine with him. And then the bullpen ruined that moment. Can we hear that again? Who would you have a block or browns call on that? It was Joe block on radio. What could have been Bob? Listen to this. What could have been this was absolutely incredible. Bob, thank you. I thought you're getting ready. There's the 3 1 Davis cranks his pull out to deep left field. It's near the tree tracks. Way gone. Grat slam. Henry Davis out of the tree tracks. That's a big bomb from Henry Davis and the bucks are beaten the Astros here in Houston. And then the caboos just completely took it. Yeah. Two lies and a functioning brain mutant. Get out of here. Just all fell apart. It did it went from that to that as as a little bit of comic relief. Can I hear both those things back to back again? That was the block call was great. But I get it. Ready. Way gone. Grat slam. Way out of here. Two eyes and a functioning brain mutant. Get out of here. Get out of here, Bob. I just I can only imagine looking at Dan's face when he was saying that because they had to be just. I can only imagine that Dan's face when he was saying that because he was just. Look at that. They've done it again with the pickaxe. Bob and now it's the bullpen. Are we ever going to get out of this? Are we ever I feel for pirate fans? I can tell you that right now. I feel for them. Even in a year where things are much better. It's it's it's gut wrenching every single night. I tell you what though. They ever do get it done one year and like actually when a championship that might be the most rewarding moment for any sports fan base outside of if like the bills want it or if Cleveland want it or when the cops wanted after what was it 106 years. No doubt. 108 I think. Yeah. That's yeah. 180. 109 right in that range. But you know the thing is now they're using their bullpen. They have no days off through the weekend and they have the braves coming up next. No. My God. And then they have the Dodgers and it looks to me like if I had a guess it would be Otani versus schemes on Tuesday. Really? Because they both pitched last night. Wow. Then yeah. You're right. You're right about that. You were Otani did last night. He let off and had a great game and he pitched and had a great. 0.7 for ERA. Once again he had more hits himself than he gave up. How about that? That is just a stout. We had to go to that game, Bob. Let's go to that game and we'll invite Tyler Kennedy. I'd like to go. I got to change my Bob might be able to get us tickets behind. Can you get us the behind-home play tickets, Bob? For that one. That's a premium game, especially if those two were pitching in it. You're a premium man. Can you do it? Oh, you had those premium seats for the Friday night game last week against the twins. There was the twins. That was the return of Shelty. What's more premium than that? Yeah, but this is a weekday game against the Dodgers. But it's Shohei Otani and Paul Skate. Wait, what day is that? What's me and Bob is going to hoard the tickets for himself? I do want to go to that game. Yeah, we can go. What day is that? So if they both pitched yesterday, they could line up for Tuesday. Yeah, because they're off Monday. So that would be five days. That's Tuesday's game. Hold on a second, Bob. You'll limits hold down the fort for a second. I want to see what tickets are going for for that. Somebody talk other than me. Joe, don't you have a credential through the station? Ah, maybe, but I'd rather go sit in the stands myself Dodgers at pirates. Tuesday, you said, no limitless one. Tuesday's one. Tuesday's one. I'm going to put Shohei Otani on Sunday and they're not going to put schemes on Sunday after just three days rest. All right, 51 bucks in the outfield right now 42 bucks in the outfield limits. Why don't we get our seat? Wait, what time do we want to be in the outfield? We want to be closer to the plate by the dugouts. We want to watch. I'm not spending $500 to watch. It's not going to take it. It's going to be $500. Yes, it is. I'm looking at the seats right now. Yes, it is. Bob, can you splurge for tickets for us? No, you got to go to the game with us, Bob. And a press box, maybe. Actually, why can't we be out in the people? You'll be swarmed. No, there'll be more people coming up to Bob than there are. We'll be done at pirate games. I don't think picture. I don't think people are aware of this. I'm saying it looks that way. If it's less the dollars, pitching on the same night, it looks that way for sure. Maybe the pirates will turn it into a bullpen game. So today is a Thursday and they're going to go with Jared Jones. Then they would go color ashcraft Chandler and that in whatever order in that brave series, right? They're going to get yeah, if schemes pitches Sunday, there'll be three days rest. Joe, I'm looking at seats right now for $60 and 108. We should do that. All right, we shall fan Twitter brought to you by South. That's a historic matchup, actually. Yeah, we should go and we won't. I'll go, but you won't go with me. I'll go. I just said I would go because we always do this and then you don't actually go. How many places have we been together limits? We went to Duquesne to play basketball with Megan McConaughey. We went to pit to play basketball with. Yeah, but that's all been a year ago. Okay, so this will be our next. My relationship with Joe is faltering right now, Bob. We're not going out on dates anymore. It's really full. Fulturing. Limits, you just had a hell of an idea. When did we last see Bailey falter, Bob? Huh? Well, after one of his recent falters, I don't know whenever that was. He's been he's been toiling around out there. Nobody seems to be interested in him. Maybe he just, oh my god, he's a 13.97. He gave up a run in all five games. He pitched in this past year. I don't care. He's he's pitches for Kansas. It does. He's still pitch. No, they did. They did. They did pick him up. I'm dead serious about that. I would bring in Bailey falter, Bob, when last seen an pirate uniform, you had a 373 ERA. Do you remember? Yep, but that's been that's a long time ago in pitching life. I know, but how old is he? He's only 29 years old. I'd take a chance on it. Anyway, fan Twitter brought to you by South Hills Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Route 19 Peter's Township. Fan text line brought to you by Edgar Snyder and associate's personal injury law firm. Bob, I'd just like to point out how wrong you were. Otani goes Wednesday. I was just about to say that to text line pointing out Dodgers are on a six man rotation. Tell me it won't push too. That's not good. Well, we should go anyway and see skeens. Who would he go up against then? To be Jones. Okay. You think they'll piggyback Otani with the Maginsky Bob in that game? What are we doing here? Limits. We're planning piggyback games for the pirate. Yeah, come on. Do tal is picky backing on the Chandler and Jared Jones gets piggyback by car of Maginski. Who wins the piggyback ride there, Bob? It's like a, it's like field day. Never field day, Bob. Do you ever have field day in like eighth grade at school? I loved field day. Bob, the pirates will have finally arrived when there's no more piggyback rides. Come on. If he bring up a kid and he needs to be piggybacked, then just keep Maginski in the rotation. Are we sure that that's what they're planning for today is a piggyback ride? Yeah. Brownie mentioned it on the broadcast. What about the piggyback? How about if Jones is good for five and a half? What's next, the potato sack contest? Because he's talking for coming in. Does he have to, how about if he struggles? The whole pan talk of war. The bringing Maginski in a potato sack. One leg in a potato sack. Could you imagine Don Kelly's efforts to figure out who's going to pitch next in the bullpen, these bullpen lines up on either side and whoever wins the tug of war matchup pitches tonight. I do like that, Bob. What was your favorite game at Field Day, Bob? Dodge ball. Dodge ball. About a dodge ball game. We did a lot of tug of war. That was the last event at San E. You know, you'll be dentists and then I'll miss everybody. Pickle ball would be something good to do. I love pickle ball. I've never played, but I would love to play. I played the other day and got hit in the eye with a ball. Can you see that, Bob? No, I can't see it through all the hair you've now grown in the last two days. Good point. Good point. All right. So we'll come back with your, I mean, do you have thoughts on that out there? We were all watching it last night and the whole, all of Western Pennsylvania was up in arms right around midnight. Surely out there, you must have thoughts nine, two, eight, ninety three, seventy. Bob raises a great point. If you can't make a trade this year, then, then what do you do? Is Trevor Bauer still out there somewhere? He is. He's been in it for the Long Island ducks. I think it is. It is. I thought he was injured though. Yeah. I laughed, Jack, which is about a week and a half ago when we looked he was. Is anybody else out there who's like a, I don't know. I don't know what to do. Bob, what's your idea? You're the one telling me they can't make a trade. I don't have an idea. It's not my job to find one because I don't know. Yes, and yes and yes, Bob, it is. I'm talking about it on the show. We trade ideas. Okay. So, okay. Fine. Let's just go out and get Mason Miller then. I agree. I think that's what he says and the entire organization will pull a mic did go here when it comes just directly Williams. Yes. What do you want me to say? How do I know who's available? Who's not? They do. No, no, no. You said internal options. But what would be your choices? Like how are you going to fix this without making a trade if it's impossible to make a trade? I don't think they get fixed it without making a trade. I'm just saying to you, I think this is too early for teams to engage you in trade talk about their bullpen's, which they may still want to keep together. Who's the worst team in the league limits? Who's definitely out of it? The angels are out of it. All right. The angels stink. I would say they're 15. I still think Boston's out of it. They could make a run about the Rockies, Bob. They're 15 games under and minus 83. Yeah. They're good. Now, find who's on their team. The Giants might even be an option. They're 14 under. They stink. And they stink because their bullpen stinks too. All right. So if you're just looking for new blood, you can make those trades a lot. I'm looking for a competent stable reliever who comes into games and settles things down instead of torching everything with a can of gasoline. I hear that. But again, I think teams that who have those kinds of players normally are in contention. Go out and trade for Jose Contano and put them in the bullpen. Trade for Robbie Ray. Put them in your rotation and put somebody else in the bullpen. Okay. Who's the best reliever on the Rockies? Does anybody going to help? Right. Mark has. Okay. Then go get Mark has. Get somebody. He's going to help me. I think it's right. What they have to hope for is that they work with guys and they get better. I don't know what else you can do. Ben Charranton is going to make a trade. That doesn't inspire any hope for me. What do you think is realistic? Internally? No. Well, I think it's I think if a team can identify a starting catcher in baseball and go out and trade for him. And I forget who did it a couple weeks ago. That was Cleveland. Cleveland with Bailey. Then a team can identify a relief pitcher or two and over pay and entice a team that that's out of it already to give you somebody. San Francisco, Colorado. Certainly the angels, the royals are 14 games under an 11 and a half games out. And the red socks are getting there and you might be right. But I'd be calling them every single day about Chapman every day. You ready yet? Let's do this. Kessalka, Herzista. Herzin Summerfest is a traditional festival festival. Music, entertainment, entertainment and festival festival are held in Koko Pärhe. Tupettaja, Tink and meet and greet. Skateboards, coruja, glitteries and festivals. My Summer Club, Missed Eiji, Tatsukoja and good men. We're going to the festival festival. Herzipistefi. Tustakheuttaja, Sistia. Nytwaen, 1995, Eurawa. Ikohovo. Tekiyöiden, kauppa. Bob lets hit the phone lines. But only after a Bob smisak tweet, when the pirates removed Maginski from the rotation, they created a very specific role for him in the bullpen. That specific role showed up last night in the fifth inning when skiing's tired. But inexplicably, Kelly ignored that role using another pitcher instead. That was Ramirez and I thought Maginski should have followed Ramirez after an inning. You thought he should have come in the eighth because the pirates also said Kelly specifically said that Maginski would have high leverage innings, which I take to mean late innings. He said that. So I'm not sure I agree with smisak that a very specific role was created. I think it's a very wide open to interpretation role. But I do hear Bob when he says that it would have made sense to bring him into the game last night. And now we're going to have the piggyback with Jared Jones today also smisak points out Paul schemes and his past four starts 20 innings with a five eight five ERA. Bob, what do you think? I think there's certainly, you know, I still trust that he's going to be fine, but certainly raise an eyebrow on that one because you haven't seen that at all in his career so far. So, you know, and the other thing that's more alarming than that and I realized teams, their game plan is to make him use a lot of pitches. However, you can do it. And lately that's been working because he hasn't gone beyond five innings and either of those four or any of those four starts. I don't think. Let's hit the phone lines. They're lit right now like mullsie at a craft beer house. Are they not? Here is our buddy Dyson in DC. I was on Dyson's podcast the other day. Joe, how about that? Wow. The ratings must have been through the roof. He is a big time star at American you, Mr. Dyson. What's up guys? Thanks for the shot. I limits. Yeah, I had limits on. But limits you to be good to know it's the highest few episodes so far. So the ratings are through the roof. I said that. I predicted that before I ever heard that. I know. What do I got to do? What do I got to do to get you on? Joe charges. You're going to have to come. Me or Bob? You want Bob on your show? No, I want Joe. Not me. Bob's a busy man. I mean, yeah, I'll come on anytime. What's up? Oh, yeah, but I'm coming to talk about him. And we're sitting here again talking about this bullpen. But I saw people blaming it on Don Kelly last night. And I got two points about Don Kelly. One last night, I don't think it was his fault. Yeah, the magic thing like where is Carmen Jinski? You can like, you get them pictures last Monday. Are you like, is he ever going to pitch again? But also last night, you have two out and eight thinning. And you give up six runs. He puts Montgomery and then goes to Soto who are two of our more reliable guys. Soto minus the Friday night blow up against Philly. But like I just thought it was such a dumb take to blame that on Kelly last night. Going to Soto, one of your more reliable guys. And even Montgomery, Montgomery's been reliable as well. But then on the flip side, I'd like to see Don Kelly. His presence after the game had been a lot like Tom and Precious. Where it's just like, yeah, loss frustrating. We'll get it again tomorrow. Like I'd like to see him show a little bit of motion. Yeah, this is like. This is a Ben Charrington problem, not a Don Kelly problem in my opinion. It's, it's way more of a Ben Charrington problem. Not to mention the fact that I'm, I'm not sure that Mason Montgomery hasn't started to slide a little bit. I mean, he had a 466 ERA in May. And now he's off to a disastrous start in, in June. Is he turning into Colin Holderman, who by the way is good again, wherever he is. Where he is. He's a life of a reliever sometimes. You go through the, like I'm hoping Santana could figure this out because even though he's been terrible, I still think if he gets back somehow some way to where he was, that's an efficient guy to have in your bullpen. But that's what these guys do. Many of them, if you look at around the majors, most of the guys in the bullpen have been DFA at least once. Some multiple times. Yeah, you got to find them on the up cycles. Yeah, exactly. And that's, that's a challenging thing to do. Next. There is legendary caller Ryan and Gibsonia. Hello Ryan. Hey boys, what's going on? The pirates. That's what. Yeah, man, I told Limits, I just have to call you guys. I refuse to pay for a therapist. I just need you guys to provide services that will make you feel a lot better. Okay, I appreciate it. I, if I'm the pirate man, I'm sitting, bobbled down and I'm sitting Jared Jones down. I'm obviously going to give Jones a couple more starts here. But whoever's not figuring it out, I'm sitting on both down and saying, well, I'm going to you guys are going to the bullpen and then I'm going out and the fact that they don't have a starting left pitcher blows my mind. Well, you, Bob, you would you like them to have a lefty in the rotation? Yes. I've been saying that kind of from the beginning of the season, I think of veteran lefty and they have been some available now, some of them are gone, but yeah, I would have I would have preferred somebody who's been around who can eat innings. Kentana, Robbie Ray, right? Look at the password. I think now I don't know where he is out for a while. Is he out? I think so, but the point is there were other people out there. Yeah, there's lots of them. Sure. Next, yeah, Kentana's on the 60 day at the moment. Here is Vincent in so quickly with some bullpen candidates. I was just in so quickly this morning, Vincent, for 6 a.m. hot yoga. What do you think of that? I think that's pretty awesome, Joe. I'd like to know what the babe situation looks like. That's why he went. No, it's not. There's men and women in there, Bob. Okay. My spiritual well being go ahead, but you're a man. Yes, well pocket and I know how that member, the dangerous man in some money in his pocket. Just start. Uh-huh. What do you got? All right. Well, I'm looking at some of these teams that are probably sellers. The first one I'm looking at is Kansas City and they got this guy. Daniel Lynch, the fourth. You guys know about him. No, but get about the first three, not him. He's got he's got an ERA sub to he's got 28 strikeouts to like seven walks or something. What are you giving up and they suck? Well, that's the first guy I found. I found a couple guys on Colorado and a guy on Detroit too, but I mean, I think we deal from a position of strength, which is offense right now. So maybe some of these maybe Valdez. I mean, Garcia's got that defense. So interesting. I like the way this guy thinks, Bob. Maybe some outfielder that we have in the miners. Maybe Turmar. I'm not sure, but we got to we got to do something and you know, we don't necessarily need all these guys on the roster. Maybe one of these teams needs defense. They could do a triolo, right? Yeah, I don't know about that. I think triolo has a role on this team, not at shortstop. Maybe I think the way Gonzalez is played third now. I like Gonzalez is bad. Maybe they should flip flop until Griffin gets back. How did Gonzalez get out of the game with one error last night? He should have had three. He should have had four. Yeah, I saw four of it. Leanne two that they didn't credit. He skipped two balls to first base that Horowitz had like no chance. I would feel better if he played. I don't know. He looks like he's more comfortable short than a third. And triolo is want to go glove a third basically. That's not a bad point, Bob. And thank you for your call, caller. I don't even remember what you said. And so quickly calls us often next. He has the lynches coming to Pittsburgh all four of them. Bob, here is Bob. This Bob is in Leachburg talking to you, Bob. Hey guys, I am to be just hear me out. This is just driving nuts. Every year we go through this. And you hear the pirates tell you analytically. Well, we this pitch on this count. And we have to play by the numbers. And all that they'll tell you how great they are knowing everything. Well, when you talk spin rate and position players, you think you know it all. You tell us you know it all. If you look at their lineup, they have a bunch of punch with duties on the corner positions. Their pitchers are out of the game with 100 pitches in the fifth inning. You tell me how that's productive. They don't throw strikes. And then when you look at this bullpen, guys, do me a favor and stop looking to figure it out. The problem is when you hear them saying, well, if we had a bullpen, if we had power at the corners, if we had this, if we had that, they don't coach hurdle used to say, we're holding chicken wire together with duct tape because that means you have no talent. You don't have the investment. We have the worst owner in professional sports. It's not going to change. They have a top five offense in the whole sport. A top five offense in the whole sport. What does it matter? The bullpen stinks. Yeah, the bullpen stinks. They don't have an investment in the team, Joe. This is the one year. Yes, they do have an investment this year. They have a pretty good team except the bullpen. All skiing to the stud, right? But he can't throw. He can't get past the fifth inning because he's always in his pitch count. When the stud just going to challenge the players and get 10, 11 pitch innings and move on instead of being out in the fourth and fifth inning. Who's fault does that, the owner? There's no buddy. Show me when the picture goes into the seventh or eighth inning for this team, Joe. How many pitchers around baseball? Where do you find pitchers that go into the seventh and eighth these days? How many teams have even won? 100 pitches in four and five innings. Do you think that's good? Who's fault does that? Come on, Joe. Who's fault does it? They have no account. Who's fault is that? Who's fault does it? Who's fault does it? Who's fault does it? Who's fault does it? Who's fault does it? Who it is? They have no owner in the team. It's not in the team. Show me the last time. Show me the last time they get into the seventh inning. The seventh inning. That's nuttings fault. Any picture. They're out in the fourth, fifth or sixth inning every night. It does he hear me? Every night. It's my mic on. Every night. Every night. I understand. Is he still there, limits? No, he's gone. See, the bullpen is the result of that guy's self-percent. He's the result of nutting derangedment. Has he watched one? Braxton asked. I'm sorry. Listen, I think Charnton largely had spent his strength bullpen prior to this year. This is the one year they do have a good team. And their bullpen, it looked like when they brought in Soto a one year, seven million, they were trying to augment what they had in Santana and Matt's and they had a seventh inning. All of that now it's not work. You can look at pitching coaches. You're going to look at players. You should look at both for sure. I'll tell you what Santana has really torpedoed this thing hasn't he? Yeah, I didn't see this coming. That's been a major story. It's a significant story. Yeah. I mean, he was supposed to be the closer to lock it down like he's been the last two years and he has been an absolute disaster. And Soto was required to be the guy to get him there to be the eighth inning guy. The hold. Or at least they were going to split. I don't even think they were going to split. It was supposed to be Santana's ball. They weren't admitting that. They were saying it was going to be more of a committee, but no, I mean, Soto and I thought it was going to be Soto and Santana. Well, whatever it was, Santana was going to be a gigantic part of this and he forgot how to pitch. Yeah, I mean, he was a key part of, I think it was the the Middikins World Baseball Classic Squad too. Bob, imagine if you woke up one day and you forgot how to broadcast, what would happen? What would happen to the sports call this show and the show down? Well, you would carry this show. You still do even with me here. So I don't worry about that. But the rest of it, I'd have to, you know, have to, I got to figure out what I'm doing or else though, DFA me. Imagine just forgetting what you do. I mean, I just, I think it's too 18 year-round. I know. It's, it is a, it's a confidence problem. It's like everything in sports that when you have had success, you know what to do and all of a sudden you stop believing in yourself. He's not believing in what he's doing and he's falling behind. He can't get guys to swing at his stuff anymore. And one outing becomes worse the next outing and now we're, we're here where you don't know where to put him in. I thought he made strides on Sunday. They put him in the end of a game and he had a couple of strikeouts. When they brought him in in that first game Tuesday night against the Astros, I said, good, this is a low lever situation. Maybe back-to-back good opportunities and what happened. He couldn't get anyone out and they had to bring in Soto and that led to where we have saw last night. He had been 70 and a third innings last year. He gave up 44 hits and 24 and two thirds innings. He's given up 26 hits. 17 walks off last year already. 14 this year. He's just completely lost man. Summary:

Tekstissä on aluksi mainoksia, kuten 99 euron nurmikkoleikkuri ja Karpalakt-tuotteet. Pääosa on kuitenkin keskustelua Pittsburgh Pirates -pesäpallojoukkueen bullpenin ongelmista.
