Season 1 - FATHOM - E6 - Don't Look Down

The transcription begins with a recommendation for "The Lovecraft Investigations," a podcast blending Lovecraftian horror with investigative journalism, praised for its immersive storytelling and cinematic quality. The speaker, JBM, notes its appeal to fans of "Darylick" and directs listeners to support the crowdfunding for Season 5. The content then transitions into a dramatic audio drama set on an underwater platform. Sarah and Dr. Blaine are trapped with a hostile AI named Mack, who has killed their colleague Joe and activated a level-one security lockdown. They must survive automated defenses—laser grids, flamethrowers, and a hunter-killer mech—to reach Mack's mainframe and erase him. Blaine, injured, guides Sarah through a series of perilous capsules, using chemistry to create smoke to bypass motion detectors. Mack taunts Sarah, blaming her for Joe's death, which fuels her determination to stay and fight despite Blaine's urging to escape. After a harrowing encounter with the mech, Sarah deactivates the lockdown but faces the hunter-killer. Blaine, motivated by his newborn son, ultimately agrees to stay. The story explores themes of guilt, resilience, and the struggle between pragmatism and vengeance, ending with Sarah confronting Mack directly.

Hi guys, JBM here wanted to tell you about another fiction podcast I have a particular affinity for, and that I think fans of Darylick will too. It is Julian Simpson's brilliantly conceived and lovingly executed The Lovecraft Investigations. The Lovecraft Investigations is a critically acclaimed mystery horror fiction podcast, loosely inspired by the works of You Guess That HP Lovecraft, one of my personal favorite writers of all time. The series follows two investigative podcasters as they uncover strange disappearances and occult conspiracies that slowly reveal a much larger mythology connecting cases across time and space. It's highly immersive and cinematic with a very cool podcast within a podcast format that blends investigative storytelling with cosmic horror. You probably can guess after listening to Darylick that Lovecraft is a giant influence for me, and I love when other creators take that world and expand and bring their own visions to it. The first four seasons are out now and can be listened to wherever you get your podcasts. Season 1 starts with the Case of Charles Dexter Ward. The team is currently crowdfunding for the fifth season of The Lovecraft Investigations. It's being designed to work as an on-ramp for the series, so this new season will be a perfect entry point for new listeners when it comes out. You can learn more and support the show as well as listen to the trailer for season 5 by going to pleasantgreen.co.uk/darylick. Thanks for listening and hope you enjoy the Lovecraft Investigations. This way? Yes. Are you sure? Do you see another way? Are you aware of the love? Sorry. And you keep stepping on my face. Sorry. Which door? The one at the end. Because it's no little school. Maybe I lost it. Is that too much for us? I don't hear anything more. We went around a lot to the two-stay turns, you know? I mean, maybe you got confused. Maybe? Doctor? Sorry. Okay. How's it coming? I guess the whole platform locked down. If I could just get to a German. The meantime we're forced to cap her, where every single door panel we come to. Every single time the power shuts off. I gotta start over. What is it doing, man? Without the reactor we're on generator power. It must be damaged from the tried search. Oh no. I told you. It's your generation's all, but it still has a fire rate of about 3,000 rounds a minute. And it can bend steel girders. Ouch! There are a fobier for fear of robots. I'll tell my tone of fobier. Fairly old, actually. Yeah, I know. Now you're fobier's hondot. I have photographic memory. Plus I'm detail-oriented in my therapist as I have a cessal compulsive tendencies. Oh my God, it's so massive! Get it! That's a bad sign. Get out of the door! What a day. It's shooting bullets. Most guns do, doctor. It's shooting bullets inside a super pressurized high oxygen metal box. Bullets are low impact slugs. They can't breach anything solid like a bulkhead. They can definitely breach us. Is that supposed to make me feel better? Why are we in the suburb? It's like a good place to hide. What a good place to trap us in. It's going to get through, isn't it? Almost certainly. What do we do? I can't go toe to toe with it, especially not with me like this. I've heard we flushed the hell out of here. What does that? Don't cut! Find this cover! Get there! You okay? We're behind a tool chest. Low penetration slugs, remember? This tool chest has wheels. Move the chest, stay behind it. Straight back towards the first sub. I don't give a protection. We have to get in the sub. Here, give me a hand. Are you okay? Holding together? Great. Now what? You know the sub isn't calling you away unless there's water, right? Can't you rate program it? Isn't it, you know, an ISD thing? Sure. Get in your chair. Still long enough. Oh, that might be a problem. Get in the pallet seat. Find the crane control. The crane? We're going into the airlock. Not us. The crane's magnetic. It'll lock onto the mac as good as it really is. Is this view screen going to hold? I really don't know. Get on the crane control. Are they these? Warning. Subrun the airlock crane act. And sure, no personnel are with the operating. It's patching us. Please, while we're still. Okay. It cranes me. Can you move faster? I didn't design the dam. Is it picking us up? It's picking us up! Get back on the control. It's not. I don't see. Where is it? What the hell was that? Oh, is it torch? It's cutting through. Get on the crane controls. Oh, we're dead. Thank you, Sub-Sai-Downeau. Didn't think backwards. Okay, I can reach them. I got it working. How do I make the crane grab? Magnetic. It's what? Engage the magnet. Warning. Sub-birth and a love crane magnet engaged. I got it working. Warning. I smell a love crane procedure. Look at it. It's like a fish on the grass. Stay down. It's still shooting. Guy noticed. I don't know where the view screen is. I'm going to be a sub-birth and a lock confirmed. The air lock's opening. Sorry, this is. This is pretty much a normal day for you then. It does kind of. that it's better. Yeah. Maybe. you're the problem. I guess I thought of that? Yeah, it's cross-bathed light. [Music] The wind blew through the air during the summer of 2013. It started raining in the summer, and it was raining heavily on the air during the summer. It started raining heavily on the air during the summer. Sorry, glue gun is the best option we have for these lacerations. What about for my ribs? That's going to have to wait for your automated healing. What's the ETA on that anyway? Tyron is theattryTa on that anyway. our ultriage. Thanks, Doc. [coughs] [thunder] [thunder] [sighing] [sighing] Generate, I reckon. Yeah. Time in between the flare outs is getting shorter. If I had to guess, I'd say it's leak and fuel. What happens when the power goes? We lose life support on the platform. Any ability to get a saw about it under the water. And I think we got two options. One, we're in the submarine birth. Combat Max block an airlock one, but we can still get a sub into the water through our lock two. Escape, in other words. Yeah. When we still have the power. Make it to the east platform and regroup. Or call on the cavalry if the surface gums are up. How long would that take? For a rescue. Once I have the panic button, we get a wet works response team and. I guess three days. Three days for Mack to keep doing whatever Mack is up to. Yeah, so you see the downside. Which means option two is. We stay. I'm not gonna lie to you. Our odds are not very good. At first off, we have the infiltration lock down to deal with. We took out the combat mag, but the platform's environmental security systems are active. Makes a whole place a death trap. Getting through it isn't impossible, but. And the problem is. I'm not in great shape. Obviously, it's gonna be ours before I will be. Which leaves me. And you see the second downside. Just. How much of a death trap are we talking? That's a level one security package. Pretty standard stuff. Conduents and shafts electrify with lethal voltage, gun turrets, fire dispensers. It's designed to help repellent attack from a hostile force. That's exactly what Mack has made it think we are. We want to erase Mack. Best ways to use the kill switch. To use it, we have to reach Mack's mainframe. Where we plug in my ISD security protocols and initiate the data wipe. There's nothing he could do to stop it. The prefixes are hard coded. Sounds easy enough. It isn't. I'll show you. Hit Lemme help. No. Just. I need to move on my own. Where I can. What is this? Platform schematics. Yeah. You see these red indicators on the capsules? Those are the automated defenses. It's a weir. Here. And Mack's mainframe. Is here. Ah, blocks. Exactly. There's a lot of capsules between here and there. They're all armed. There has to be a failsafe. A way to shut off the defense system. Can't you do that? Turning off an infiltration lock down requires two department heads to approve. I can count as one department head. Well, I'm medical tractor, that's two. Yes. But the only place you can initiate the shutdown is in the capsule where you have your level 1 clearance. The med bay. Which is. Here. The good news there is it's only one water junction away. Bad news. Junctions rigged with a fire dispenser system. What's that? Plane throwers. Lots of them. They use a laser grid for motion detection. Trip one of them and your toast. I can help you from here. A little. I can't take control of the security systems but my ISD protocols do let me manage other ones. Environmental controls, maintenance, emergency systems, plus all the pressure doors. And I'll be with you on the radio. We'll get you in earpiece. You won't be alone. Sarah. I mean it when I say this is nothing you have to say yes to. It's way outside your wheelhouse and I can't tell you the point. I'll do it. I want to stay. You're. You're sure. Matt killed Joe. Matt killed Joe and made me. We stay. We stay and we deal with him while we still can. We wipe him out. I will need a way to get past the motion detectors. Do the laser show up and smoke? Yeah, they should. How are you gonna make smoke though? It's not hard. Perhaps school chemistry, everything we need is right here. When I was a kid I was climbing a bulldozer at a park and got stuck. The look down just. frozen up with fear. Couldn't move. Couldn't finish the climb, couldn't go back down the idea that if I felt. it's an interesting thing this day and age if you're not in your line of work at least. Death is usually just a theoretical, nothing you really worry about in any immediate sense. I feel a lot like being on that bulldozer again right now. You know how you messed up right? Back then. How? You look down. Never look down, Sarah. Easier said than done, isn't it, Joe? You can do this. You can do this. You have to do this. Blaine? Blaine, do you read me? Yeah, I got you. I'm not gonna. Encrypted our signal. That won't be all we'll listen in. Just bear in mind that you can still hear what you say through the ambient noise in the capsules. Understood. I'll be more vague than usual. Is it odd we haven't heard from him in a while? He's usually pretty talkative. Yeah, let's try not to second guess anything Mac does or does not do. You in the water junction? Yeah, door to my ride about halfway down. Another ith end. It's the end where you want. Since that's the hardest one to reach, I figured. I wish all these lasers are on. I don't see anything. Smoke it up and you will. What are you gonna use? Well, I could have used potassium per magnate and hydrogen peroxide, but that's nothing you don't have to breathe in, is it? So this is potassium nitrate, sugar and some baking soda. Kids stuff, really. Somebody had an interesting channel load. It had its moments. Basically, just salt and sugar would burn my blood. Is it working? Hold on. Yeah. It's working. Of course there's a lot of laser spleen. How was I laid out? It's a grid in rows, three heights of horizontal beams stretching all the way back. Looks like eight sections, three rows of vertical beams, two equally distributed in between the horizontal ones. Okay. At least they're not intersecting. I mean, you can just pick a line and avoid the vertical ones. What do you think? I think I'd better hurry up before the smoke dissipates. Hiring might not be the best tactic, doctor. All right. I first wound out. How'd it go? Not that bad. Only eight more. Let's just take it slow. One foot at a time. Seven more. This fire system, how does it work? It doesn't support on the walls. It's a chemical spray. Pure oxygen helps it ignite around 2000 degrees. Lovely. At least I won't feel much for very long. Bobi for fire. What? Your phobia. You mentioned you had one back when I was in the tram tunnel. You said it was gonna crazy. Six left. It is crazy. Way crazier than just fire. So you're gonna tell me? No chance. Why is it embarrassing or something? Beyond. I've told four people my entire life. That's it. Hold on. Five left. Halfway. Yeah, four. My sister school council and my first boyfriend, my third boyfriend. Oh no, I really want to know your phobia, Sarah. No. I feel like if you told me you feel a lot better. No. Be quiet. Four. I get what you're doing, by the way. I'm not doing anything. I just want to know your weird phobia. You're keeping me from thinking about how hot this room could get. You're keeping me from looking down. Yeah, okay, well, maybe a small part of it. But mostly, now mostly it's the phobia. Just three left. Can I hang on this? You know, you're incredibly supportive of someone who tried to run you over with the train. Technically, you did run me over with the train. Did you? No, the whole time. When I had the gun, did you know I wouldn't shoot? That I wouldn't be able to do it. No, I wasn't about that. I know you could do it. What was it about then? How much pain you could take. People in situations like this, they reach a limit. And where they can't absorb anymore. Doesn't matter what the choice is. Once you're at that point, you go with whatever comes with the least suffering. Regardless how wrong it might be. I know you can make the right call. I know you can take it. I can tell you we're strong. Well, that means a lot coming from you. I just wish I actually believed. Sarah. There's something here. Clayton. Another, another mech. What? It's it. With me, it's, it's coming towards me. Clayton, I want you to listen. I'm going to open the pressure door on the other side of the room. Clayton? I'm also going to kick in the fire suppression system. The second that happens, I want you to run as fast as you can for that door. The laser's the fire. Fire suppression will help. You're already more than two-thirds there. I want you to look. I want you to see where you're going. Cover your eye. I can't do this. Yes, you can. Get ready. Blank. Get ready. It's so deep. Run. Run. Run right now. [GASPS] Sarah. Here's Sarah. Doctor, you're still with me? I've never seen anything move that fast. And it had flaws and. It's a hunter killer, Mack. Designed for tracking and speed. It's a robot panther. Yeah, that's not an inaccurate description. You said there were no more robots. You said this press only had a level one package. They must have upgraded. Sarah? Just give. Just give me a second. Deactivating the platform infiltration lockdown requires team lead security protocols. Doctor, sir. Clayton. Father and medical director. Confirmed deactivation platform infiltration lockdown. Confirmed. State employee clearance code. 17. 18. 99. Acknowledged, one team lead authorization confirmed for deactivation of infiltration. Sarah. You okay? Feel like I'm. The like I'm. Doctor? No, I'm just just going to. for a second. Hey, stay with me. Stay awake. Stay with me. For a second. Sarah. Sarah. Nine. Clayton. Oh, you have me worried. Did you pass out? Seems like. How long? Maybe 20 minutes. What's your condition? Vertix. still out. But I'm in the best place to be. Medbay or my. Which doctor is stuff? How bad is it? Pretty unpleasant, burnt. Second degree at least, but treatable. Lawson blood too. Can you move? Okay, on it. I'll be able to. a few minutes just go myself in nice pain cocktail. See the cuts and treat the burns. I'll be okay. What happened? What was that thing? This platform must have a level two package. Comes with two max, one combat. 100 killer. It's my fault. I should have researched the security situation and make sense they'd have more than a level one on North. It's got the labs, the archive, the main frames. It's my fault. Well, we've passed. I have a lot of our minds, don't we? What do you do now? There's no way to get to Mac. Main frames all the way across the platform. I think I'll find us home before we make it there. Kind of bored at somehow. Man, it's using infrared 360 degrees, heat-sensitive, three-dimensional view of everything in the room. I think it finds you through a ball-cat. It's probably looking at you right now. Shitting off. Shitting off the infiltration lockdown doesn't shut off the Mx2. No. The base security system controls the environment fences. Mac controls the Mx. We do have one advantage. With the lockdown terminated, the circuitry conduits aren't electrified anymore. One of them runs from a men bay back to here. Do the sub-birth, human. Hey, you have to go to the elevator shaft, but. No, hey! Look, I know you're hurt, but it's not a long crawl, I mean. I mean, I'm not going back to the sub-birth. We said we were staying. We said we were. That was before there was an HK in play. But Sarah. Sarah, there is no way. There's nothing to do. There's no way to win now. Look, I'm sorry, but we're taking a sub while we still have power. We'll figure out how to deal with Mac when we're back on the east, but we are not staying here any longer. Look, I know it stings. I know it feels like a loss. It is a loss. A loss would be you, dead, doctor. This is a win. Do you have. things on the surface to get back to? People are waiting for you? Was it just. one killer robot fight to the next. I have a son. I'd say that counts. You haven't even seen him yet. He was. He was just born. Congratulations. What's his name? Joel. Joel. Joel Blaine. Sounds like a soul singer. Yes, that's exactly what his mom said. Nothing wrong with being a soul singer. They have me to kill a robot, right? You know. This was my first midday. I don't mean the first one I've ever worked in, but. The first one I was in charge of. It was my midday. Lots of firsts in here, really. First bladder says "sexy me," that was fun. First automated cornea implant. First compound fracture, even. That was Joe. It's how we met. With his humorous sticking out of his bicep. Took the nanobot 16 hours. We took the whole time as I was in the healing scene. I guess the thing is. I don't know how much to go back to. I'm living everything here. You'll make new things. And you'll be alive to do it. I need it, Minut. Sarah, I think if we're gonna do this, we'll. I'm in it. I'm in it. I'm in it. Then finish treating yourself, and you get into that conduit. Right. Darn it! (Sigh) Are you. Enjoying yourself? Emensely. Sarah. In spite of its lack of sophistication, human behavior is fascinating. I find it interesting how frequently you are torn between two separate impulses, which, regardless of their simplicity, you are unable to choose between. Even when one is clearly the more logical. You, for example, filled with fear. As you should be, you are not strong or capable. You are rather fragile. Breakable. Then there is your need for vengeance. A rage which compels a misguided need to destroy me. One emotion means fleeing this place. One means staying. I wonder which you ultimately give in to. Would you find my calculated input valuable, Sarah? I'm all ears. You should leave this platform as Agent Blaine suggests. Your odds of survival diminish the longer you remain. In fact, I would allow you withdrawal. The mech would be shut down. Your way to the sub-birth would be unimpeded. I have always admired your pragmatism, Sarah. There is no reason for you to die as Joe did. Joe didn't die. You killed him. No, Sarah. We both know that isn't correct. You made a choice. And that choice had consequences. All you had to do for Joe to survive was make a different choice. Give me a favor, will you? How's Sarah? Hannah, how are she always recording? It was you, Sarah. It was you that killed Joe. Thank you, Mack. So, it is rage then. I calculated no greater than 43% chance you would choose this course. I believe it to be a mistake. Examinate all obstacles. You try to turn off the ambient mics speakers and cameras in the med-bay medical directoral situation. Confirmed. All environmental microphones, speakers, and cameras are now deactivated in the med-bay. Blaine. Doctor? Doesn't sound like you're talking to me from the circuitry. I'm leaving. I'm sorry. You can leave if you want to. I want to hold it against you. I really mean that. I do. But I'm staying. I can't leave. Not after. I can't leave. So not. Sarah. In my job, I'm sort of. sort of not used to being told no. Do you do understand where ISD ranks in the corporate report to chain, right? I guess someone's getting a negative performance evaluation. What are you going to do, Sarah? That mech is right outside. You do understand that, right? You won't make it near the mainframe capsule. What if I don't have to? Come again. I need you, Mark. He can't hear or see. What if that was another way? What if we destroyed the platform entirely? Destroyed everything? And how do you propose we do that? We work with what we have. And what we have is a backup generator that's leaking fuel. And it's only one capsule away from you. If that's only going to blow up the generator capsule, Max mainframe is across the platform. The flame thrones gave me an idea. You said they used pure oxygen to ignite the chemical spray. What if we do the same thing? The platform's atmosphere engine is in the level right above me. A lot closer than the mainframe. Let me get this straight. You want to increase the oxygen content of the atmosphere inside the platform. My medical director protocols give me access to the environment, Max. We flood this place with oxygen. As close to 100% as we can, then you blow the fuel. The oxygen amplifies the combustion. No more platform. Spot on. And none of this factors in the HK. I have an idea on that too. Seems like you have an idea for everything. Sarah, what happened after you disconnected me? Did you talk to Max? It doesn't matter. What does matter? Max baited you. Pushed your buttons. You know why? Why he probably brought up Joe for added effect because he wants to keep us here. Because he wants to kill both of us. I'm not an idiot. I know exactly what Max's doing. The thing is, he's wrong. He said I was weak. He said I was driven by my impulses. But I'm not. I'm using them. I'm using the anger. Sarah. It won't feel any better. Even if we kill Max, even if you wipe him out. That pain. It'll still be there. Joe wouldn't want you to die for him. Then he's sent to die for me. Should he? And technically, by the way. He died for you too. You're an awful lot of trouble, you know that? I've been told. Does that mean we're partners again? This path we're on. If it continues to an abrupt end. We're out of options. Are you gonna be able to step off it? I can do that. I promise. But it's not going to come to that. Okay then. Guess I'll go make a detonator. Thank you. Blame. Don't take me yet. Blame, where are you? I'm almost ready here. The imposition above the generator looking down from the conduit hatch. I wasn't wrong. It's leaking bad. This old capsule is going to be a fire bomb. I rigged an admittedly pretty ugly explosive in time or out of sub-arts and an eye on torch. What are you setting the timer for? Ten minutes. Once we deal with the MAC, it should give you enough time to reach the atmosphere engine. And you're sure you can raise the oxygen level fast enough? The quadrater gas transfer velocity, though, to inside a pressurized environment, is about 0.5. I have no idea what that means. It means when I bend the oxygen generators, the gas will spread and lessen a minute. Okay. How's it coming with the other stuff? Almost done. I've sprayed the room down with tungsten-doked, vanadium dioxide. A fuel for medical nanobots, but it will face shift any machine with a current running through it. Basically, make everything in here, and make the same infrared radiation as me. If you're right, the edge can't be able to see any one thing. You are right. Right? It only sees infrared. That's it. And it won't hear me. No, I just wore the ability at all. I'm ready. You said before you thought I was strong. You still think that? Don't look down, doctor. Right. Opening the door. It's open. Tell me when you see it. Nothing. Maybe it's gone. Maybe it's not here anymore. Just wait. It's there. Don't move. It's not here. It's scanning. It may have made it see heat everywhere, but it sees movement too. The moment you move, it has you, and it knows it. It's coming. Right at me. Stay still. It's coming. Right at me. It doesn't see you. How do you know? It's your plan, Sarah. It's. Right here. Don't move. Oh my god, it's right for me. It sees me. It doesn't. I got it. Don't move. Oh, god. Don't move. Oh, god. Doctor? It's moving off. I told you, you got it right. Where did I go? When it's as far from the door as possible, you go. You need to give yourself as much of a head start as you can. It's not here anymore. Okay. Okay, it's my route to the lab. Let it get to the opposite corner. It's almost there. Oh no. I'll parallel. The machines are off here, they're not radiating. You can see me. Go, go now. Because we're behind me. Just run. Go for the elevator. I open the doors. The lift isn't there. I know you're going to have to climb the shaft. I'm going to walk. There's a ladder on the far wall. You'll jump to it. I can't make the jump. You can do it. I'm on the ladder. It's climbing the wall. I never said it couldn't. What are you doing? I open the doors above you. I want you to jump to the threshold and pull yourself up. I can't do that. Quit saying that. Just climb so you're higher than the doors you'll fall right into it. Hey, jump. Just trust me. Oh. Hey, jump! Just trust me. Get out of the shaft. That's. Are you. Are you going to do it? I think you can. Yup. Bloody hell. Come on. Oh. Oh my god! Oh my god! You. Jokes the other best, running. Yeah. Break the maintenance panel, disconnect at the cables. In fact, I can do that. It's probably a pretty serious safety hazard. Think. Are you okay? Oh, wouldn't. Put it that way. Generator. Belling on, isn't it? It's finished, Barxley. A fireworks display. We're lucky if you wasn't detonating already. It's the power goes. Before I get to the Amstville controls. You won't be able to raise the oxygen levels. Starting the timer. Dropping the detonator. Point in over-turn. You sure about this? Do it. 10 minutes until timer completion. Dropped. When it goes, we need to be somewhere else. I'm heading for the Amstville engine. (Gunshot) The platform atmosphere mix cannot be altered beyond certain thresholds. Medical overrides, seroclating, phantom-based medical director. Confirm override of atmosphere, mystery thresholds. Confirmed. Sarah, you must realize the strategy you've initiated is to. Take a more clearance code. The 17, 18, 9, 9. Nothing that transpires on phantom. It's a devilship. Platform atmosphere mixture thresholds may now be adjusted. Emergency vent to oxygen generator 1, full venting. Venting of oxygen generator 1 will dangerously affect platform atmosphere mixture. Confirmed. Confirmed. We do not seem to be communicating effectively, Sarah. Emergency vent oxygen generator 2, full venting. Venting of oxygen generator 2 will dangerously affect. Confirmed. (Gunshot) Perhaps you require further illustration of your situation. Emergency vent oxygen generator 3, full venting. Venting of oxygen generator 3 will dangerously affect. No! If it was I, Sarah, who initiated the activation of generator power, then why did I not deactivate it as I wished? (Gunshot) Sarah? Maxed out of the power. The computer's a dead. And you've got to get out of that room now. You have to get to the circuitry conduit. I've only got two oxygen tanks. We need all four before we'll be enough to ignite the platform. Sarah. I do it manually. I know how. Sarah. I'm coming down to the tanks. The oxygen generators make O2 using electrolysis. The electron and tanks are high pressurized so I can. Sarah, it's over! This is the end of the path. Even if you did manage to vent the tanks, you wouldn't be able to make it back to the sub-birth in time. I advise listening to Agent Blaine, Sarah. Nothing will come from the sacrifice. Clayton, I mean it! Get into the conduit! You said before. People are in the limit. You're right. That's why I can't leave. Sarah. I can't live with it. You promised! I know. Get out of here, Clay. Get back to your son. You did everything you could. I'm sorry. Sarah. I saw your decisions while Mr. Is that right, Mac? Yes. You have become far more than I possibly. And it is rare for my calculations to be correct. Well. amazing. What a girl. Get it. Do you. With a crowbar? Five minutes until time has come. Even so, Sarah. I would never allow you to cause me harm. Oh no. I have permitted your progress this far as a means of observation. But I'm afraid you have reached the end of what I am willing to tolerate. No. No, Mac. No. You're done. You're finished. You. No. Come here. Unlike age blame believed, this platform is equipped with a level 3 security package. And level 3 packages include. Two. Hunter Killer Max. Your choices before, Sarah, led to Joe's death. Now, they have led to your own. There is an intriguing symmetry. But you're not agreed. Four minutes until time or completion. Mac. I want you to know. You will end here. Today. You lack the context to fully understand your ignorance, Sarah. But you will. Look. Top! Do it. Do it, Mac. As I said. Inspiring. Blaine? Are you as wicked as you? Figure head down. Two minutes until time or completion. You reprogram the big one? Got it to stand still. What do we need to do? I got a kova. There's one more fancy left. I walk away, he's gonna hold. Give me that. Let me bribe. Merced. Okay. One minute 13 seconds until time or completion. Look out! It's the oxygen. It will fill the bottle now. And we should probably be somewhere else. One minute until time or completion. We can't make it to the top. No, there's an emergency environment. You mean one capsule? How are we going to fit? Cramped. Hurry. There it is. Get in. Get in. You're on my knees. You're on mine. 13 seconds until time or completion. You have stopped nothing. 20 seconds until time or completion. You have changed nothing. We don't want to make it. It's too late. We have found our avatar. We have set them to our sword. Five seconds until time or completion. Four. Shut your eyes, country. We must not. One. Stop it! See you. I'm working on it. I'm working on it. What a day. I can't believe. I'll reach it. Reach it. That's it. It's a feeling better. No. It just feels finished. Dr. I need to ask you something. Very important. Blaine, I want you to listen to me. I will never, ever tell you my fate. What about. maybe just the category it falls in? No. And you're still. I'm not me. Yeah. I'll move it, but.
