So it's like a good stepping stone to them Also find it helpful Like if I'm doing some stuff for the podcast Either from the track or maybe in the paddock Just pull those up sometimes I forget Like essential things with a race Who's going to be on the lead who's got the fast speed figure Even people that are maybe considered themselves advanced when it comes to handicapping It's useful for them as well Just like an extra reminder, it's quick, it saves you some time Barry, we previewed the late pick five with Ryan Anderson So for Saturday, so if anyone else wants to play some of the Delmar Saturday card And they're curious about the late pick five sequence We took care of that But Barry, we're going to preview the early pick five from Delmar And then the late pick five from Saratoga because they're all part of this fun in the sun tournament And Barry, I've seen the full page ads of you back in the day in the daily racing form Tournament sections with the big hair and everything going on And I actually was joking with Ryan the other day Like I think the first time I met Noah and Ryan and Jackson was in Vegas a couple years ago At the NHC playing tournaments I love the style and the format of this particular tournament Because it's only 125 bucks It feels like something that everybody can enter And it's a lot of the races that most people are already paying attention to every summer weekend with Saratoga and with Delmar Yeah, you're writing the thick of everything with this tournament You know, you get the best of Saratoga and the best of Delmar I mean, there's not much more you can ask for in the summertime The pricing of this is excellent $125 is great There's always a lot of people in these tournaments Very lucrative and then you can win seats elsewhere So it's just a win for everything all the way around Your $10 win bets are actually just right on your express bet account So you can actually just keep the money just stays right there on your account And then if you finish in the top five, you make it to the final table So each week 70% of the fees are paid Percent carries over to the final table with the $10,000 added prize pool courtesy of express bets So we love to see just more affordable a contest Noah your buddy Jackson We've had on the show before he does a great job. He's over there with my Rebets now like for some of us Playing in contests that are like a thousand or five thousand That's a lot to enter into a contest right? $40 feeders $80 feeders tournaments that are 125 bucks like this we can afford that That's something that a lot of people can play into So anytime there's chances for more folks to play in these tournaments and contests I like it So we'll see if we can help you out along the way Let's get started and let's take a look at Saratoga and the late pick five It's a good sequence too with a couple great at stake races in the mix So Noah as we take a look at race number seven We're going to go a mile in a race number eight Excuse me it's Saratoga on Saturday July the 25th We'll look at 8 9 10 11 and 12 at Saratoga And then the the first five at Del Mar this eighth race mile and 16th on the turf course Couple horses that I think will take some money you have the two crossover capital for Chad Brown Who won first time out at Monmouth likely will take some action there towards the outside You've got the nine Bella knows so I think it's going to take some support coming off those back to back runner up efforts Both of those were nice races and then you've got Coco motion Who was third in the Florida oaks last time out hasn't raced in a couple months And doesn't get the easiest post draw but those are sort of like the top tier of runners in here I'm going to pull our our screen up full screen so we can just get a little bit more of the DRF here But Noah talk to us about how you're looking at this first leg of the sequence And maybe a couple horses who you'd want to use in a pick five or maybe play in the tournament if you were entered in there Yeah, it's a tough race and I feel like anytime you get a morning line favorite drawn post 12 in a two turn turf race It seems like you're supposed to head into some valuable directions and I think that and in this race for sure It's exactly right. I think the one that you had mentioned maybe one of the more logical is that I would maybe have a bit more trust in is the nine Bella knows Who's run into back to back in back to back starts as run into pretty nice Chad Brown Phillies one of them deep learning We knew right out of the blocks was was going to be a very good one for that barn and then right timing was really coming to her own stepping onto the grass She ran fine in both of those races second off the bench for her he gets the likes of iraad which won't help the price but will certainly help your chances I think in terms of prices I would look towards the inside with the four soloist true I was really impressed with her run way back when in the Jessiman when she was a two year old was really that day Race kind of came apart imagination the ladies obviously gone on to do some very good things as a three year old herself She would bet like the bees knees when she came back to keenland in April and she didn't run step I was a little shocked by that Maybe she needed the race came back at in the ran a much improved effort was also wide that day as well second place finisher came back in one And then I don't know how much stock you want to put into that race that came off the turf at Deloys She honestly ran just fine with getting back to the grass big rider upgrade the hose a or T's also has an opportunity to maybe save some ground in here and price should stick attend to one So low as the very fair price in here very imagination the lady was a horse that you pagged I think on that day that Noah was mentioning you and I previewed that race back last year In the Jessiman and you have that one picked right on top I did look at this race and think it should be at least an honest tight pace when you've got verven Betty down on the inside Maybe a horse like our slew of cash I wouldn't be shocked if they were close soloist has shown some speed a few different times you've got page turner stretching out the blinkers come on Vekoma view her best race came when she was on the lead I don't think River rides going to be on the lead I think she just kind of ended up there last time in a slow in a slow race but I wouldn't be shocked even people watching Abigail towards the outside it could be pretty honest who are some of the horses that you want to have on your ticket or if you were playing this contest Barry Yeah, I do I am agreeing with you that the the pace scenarios should be pretty fair if you're going to get your trip you should be able to get it in this race One thing that I kind of I'm puzzled about is why cocoa motion gets the respect to get because that maiden race they won back in February a Tampa wasn't that strong They came out of that race and was in the Florida oaks and that race was won by Dan Donna who has done absolutely nothing since that race yeah And this horse draws the outside and still is three to one I don't think that should hold but if it does so be it I mean that that actually is good for me because I do agree with Noah I do like soloist in the spot quite a bit nice The horse that they lost to first time out at at keenly when they were bet down the favoritism east of bip is not a bad horse at all I think they just didn't get a good trip they were out wide just it was not the day for soloist and I can forgive that effort came out of that one into the Cleopatra over in Indianapolis and ran really good that day then they hit the slop last time I think that will set them up really well for this one another horse that I do have on my radar at a price is the sixth of a comb of you They came off the bench running last time a slight you know layoff from March 28th to May 29th but in the March 28th race they they were in the sand about island against tam Tam who was kind of a perfect trip winner that day and I don't think they really had a chance especially being pinned down they got shuffle back and and kind of made a run but they ran good enough for me to really to keep an eye on this horse then they come back they come back May 29th in the Pen Oaks room. and race that day gets blinkers this time. Second time off the layout for George Weaver. Those horses do okay. Blinkers on all the changes, including the rider and Johnny V. I think this one might be live at a price. Yeah, what Noah was pointing out to. It's sort of like in your handicap in 101 guide. If you're in class, like you see a horse like this at a short price on the outside. And we should be lining up to try to bet against winner lose. It's just what you should be doing as a horse player here. Barry gave you a couple really like logical alternatives. Noah gave you a couple. I'll mention one more because I do think the nine's going to run really well. I think the nine will get a nice trip. The seven is the one that's really interesting to me. River ride. Because let's go through her career and her three races going long on the grass. That debut, nothing wrong with the debut. She's way out of it. She comes closing in a maiden special way to call stream. She finishes second. Keep in mind, this is Shugma Gage who is not the type that cranks the horses early on. He lets them really improve on their own. He lets them build their fitness. And you can just see it. Look at the three grass races from this gal. She went on the synthetic in her second start, put a line right through it. Even though it wasn't that bad, she finished fifth in a field of 11. Then she was behind right timing. That's the very same right timing that we see defeating horses like Bellino's. If you're using that same measuring stick for the same exact filly that defeated some of the other horses in here last time out. And River ride was very competitive in that race. And if you actually watch the race, she was stuck inside right timing made an early move. And then River ride had to come off the rail and angle around. And it was just one of those situations when she was a little bit unlucky. Right timing made the move at the right time. I guess it was the right timing for right timing that day. And then last time out, I feel like they just thought she was the best horse in that race. They put her on the lead in really slow fractions. She's not going to get the leading here. But it's just kind of nice to know that if they had to, they can put her closer in races and kind of use her a little bit. I think she's going to close well in this race. If you're looking at speed figures and everything, she actually stacks up very well with the rest of this group. I think if she's anything like six or above, I like River ride in here. So plenty of price options for you folks in this race with River ride for me, Barry and Noah both mentioned soloist as a really live play. I mean crossover capital is obviously super logical. Noah started with Bella knows who I agree is kind of the horse to beat. But we're all just a little cold on Coco motion in race number eight, the kickoff leg of the late pick five. And the start of the fun in the sun week two contest over at Saratoga. Let's turn the page to the Alpha G a Vanderbilt. This one's going to go as race number nine, six for a long sprint. Grade two in here and Barry built on the outside is the horse to beat. This is a horse who was the was in the Louisiana Derby and some of the races at Fairgrounds 20 in 2025 last year trying to get into the Kentucky Derby and on the triple crown trail. You can just see those races were a little bit long for him and ever since he cut back to a sprinter, that's his bread and butter. That's what he wants to do. You know his last four races, he's won two of the four. He's earned pretty big figures in three of the four and he's coming into this race off of a runner up effort where he earned 103 buyer speed figure last time out. So he's eight to five on the morning line. He looks like the one to beat in here. What do we do with built? Yeah, this race with the scratches really kind of deplete some of the competitiveness because built sort of lays over this field. He's almost kind of like an Omnifig horse where his last two efforts, buyer speed figure wise or better than everybody else's. And they're going to have a hard time beating them because you know the horses, including Damon's mound. That hasn't really been keeping the strongest of company. You know, especially Damon's mound who probably might take some money in this spot. Those state bread races down at Gulfstream aren't the strongest. They're okay, but nothing like what they're seeing in built. Which leads me to some sort of strategy for contest. This is sort of one of those races where the place ticket might end up being more than the win ticket. A horse in Nutella fell. I do kind of like a because they do like Saratoga very much so his fastest races have been at Saratoga. But the back class is really what I'm interested in this source was running competitively with extra an a ho book of Dan O Mulligan beat caramel chip one day at Tampa. Prince of Monaco who's good at that time. So this horse has some back class that's a little bit hidden because he hasn't been running. But gets into Joe sharp barn gets Jose or tease. This might be a race where they can pick up some pieces and grab a check and finish second at a decent price. Noah, how did you feel this race would shape up with with built is the likely heavy favorite. I think from this contest standpoint, I think builds probably a horse you're supposed to play against because if you allocate your $10 to him and you get a price in any other direction. It seems like at this point, you're probably behind the April. And if he does end up winning. It's really not so much. I think just from that standpoint, you're probably supposed to head in a different direction with the scratches. I had a hard time. Figure out what this pace scenario looks like. I know the two mountain runners will probably show their respective speed, which one actually controls the front and I really have no idea. I feel with T craft, who's the direction I'm going to go. You look at his race two back. That was the one race where he was really able to get that true for position and ran very, very well. I mean, that kind of pops it on the page if you're looking at buyer speed figures. Rand last time was favored got an inside trip was a little uncomfortable down there. I think like I said with the scratches, he might get more of a clean trip. You know, perhaps obviously going to be sending a little bit from there. There could be some team tactics where Pratt shows some speed tries to make things tough on built as well. But I just thought from from that standpoint and the appeal there with a chance to maybe control things on the front end. And T craft was a sneaky alternative. Actually David Aragon likes his horse a little bit too. Yeah, I think he picked this course on top when they were doing the preview on the D a D a F YouTube. So something to keep note because the man there are times to where like I think a lot of times like I get excited because I'm like, man, I found something. You know this horse or you know that's a good to fun feeling when you're handicapped in the races like at night and you find something and you're like, I can't wait to go tell everybody about this angle that I like. And man David will get me sometimes where I'm sitting there with him and I'm doing a preview and I'm like, I don't know where he came with this and a lot of the and most of the time he's right. Like most of the time when it's something like that that it's like not on my radar. I take a second look because I'm like, man, he's definitely put in the work and he probably did find something that I didn't see. T craft is there. I mean, him is just a logical horse if you're trying to be built to or if you're just like looking to go in a different direction because you don't really know how good he is quite yet. He's been facing softer company, but he's won three in a row now and he sort of done what you're supposed to do. He's defeated that softer company and now he gets to sort of step up and get the acid test in here. There's some pretty bad Ron Moquette stats at Saratoga though, like he's just not had a lot of great success at Saratoga through the years recently. So maybe something to keep an eye on. I just didn't have a strong opinion in here because I do feel like this is one of those races when you're playing in a contest versus when you're playing like if you are playing a pick five or some sort of maltees where you know, and Barry, you were kind of hitting on it. Almost like you got to go it's separate directions because I do respect built as as like certainly the horse to be here, but I would never want to play him in a contest format like it's just not really worth it, whether it's a win format or win place. And as we turn the page to the CCA Oaks, that's one of the things I like about this, these types of formats, Barry, where it's win, win format here or like NHC win place, right. It keeps everybody everybody's got a shot because Barry, you can have a day where you have four horses that are 10 to one and nobody might nobody could beat you that day. If that's your day where your four horses are 10 to one and they win and you're just going to be the best that day. The problem in other contests for me know, like I'm never at the track with a bankroll of like $5,000 on a normal day. So I don't bet like normally $100 or trifecta's you know $100 or exact as so when it's an open live betting style, I'm not going to really do very well in those types of tournaments because I'm just not used to how you have to bet when you have that much money. For sure, for sure, you got to pick your spots and and hammer your opinions for sure. I mean, you're not going to bet all 12 of these races at Saratoga. And if you want to, you can bet the race at Del Mar as well, but you're not going to bet all 12 of these races by dividing up your bankroll and having winning day. I mean, it's just not a formula that works out all that well. So you got to look at these races with a fine fine tune and pick spots that that you like and obviously hammer those opinions. Let's get to the CCA Oaks. This one is going to go as race number 10 at Saratoga on Saturday. We've got the Kentucky Oaks winner in here with always a runner and we've got the horses who beat always a runner in the A-Corn. stars. Those two have a little rivalry that they've developed in here. You also have one or two others that have some ability towards the outside. Zanie and Directive both entered in here and I think it looks like Zanie is going to run in this race. I believe she's going to run CZO because is what Dave Brenning had said yesterday. So Zanie in here and then we got the lightly raised Directive who's one two in a row and who is stepping up now and facing tougher. Barry obviously a couple very well known filly Zanie was the Kentucky Oaks favorite actually at five to one and then the horses who ran really well in the Kentucky Oaks with always a runner and with counting stars they're back here. So they're kind of probably the top three. That I think a lot of people will will gravitate towards. How are you looking at this race? Do you have a strong opinion in one of them? Are you using a couple in to pick five? Contest wise who would you be playing? Give it to us here. Well contest wise my efforts would would be concentrating on the seven Directive and the eight Zanie because there's not really much speed in this race. I agree. And I think Zanie especially with Johnny V up is he's a very smart savvy rider that will notice that there isn't much speed and I would think try to force the issue and get Zanie on top because if they can out quick counting stars and control this pace they're probably going to have a really good chance to win the same thing with Directive but with Directive it's a little different because it's almost like they're in here to set the table for the six always a runner and it might not be the best of propositions. So Zanie to me seems a little bit more of a better contest play just for the fact that you know they they're definitely a want to have or get aggressive. B have speed to be forwardly placed and looking to turn things around with the blinkers on and all the changes. So that's where I would go with that but as far as you know pick five perspective those two and always a runner seem like the ones that I would gravity to. I'm not really so fond of counting stars even though they beat always a runner last time and I think always a runner just didn't get the best of trips in there and had to go quite a bit wide and just didn't have enough at the end and a good horse in counting stars beat him. So being pinned on the rail isn't my favorite thing. Shout out to Sean Collins over there at the Blood Horde CT. Tweeted and let us know that the three La Recosa is not going to be in this race either. So we'll be scratched after a training setback. Noah that takes some of the speed out of the race also because if you looked on paper that was another one of the pace courses that may have been kind of pushing it with directive early on. So you take that horse out. How do you feel about this race? Do you like counting stars? Always a runner. You look in another direction. Talk to us about the CCA Oaks. I think you hit on the most important thing about this race is that it seemed like there were two main speed horses and one of them scratched. So I think people are going to see that and directive could be a very appealing choice. What price ends up going off at? I really have no idea. Do you have a like a like what would be for you if you're someone who liked directive and you're looking at this race? What would be the the breaking point for you? I think it would be let's go seven to two. Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking. There's a pretty strong resume that you can make a case for with the two favorites in here. Yep. I like them both. I mean I thought it was really tough to split them. So for me from a contest standpoint I would just head in a different direction because knowing my luck I'd pick one and the other would get my phone and it's worth it last time. And at least you could always could tell yourself hey I went with the big price. Yeah yeah yeah. You know you don't get mad at yourself afterwards right? And there's a there's a horse in here that I think is really going to be dismissed not only on the betting board but maybe within this contest itself and she's probably up against it from a pay standpoint but I was impressed with the way that measured close last time. Do you remember correctly Belmont stakes week or Belmont stakes festival for that matter? There really wasn't a whole lot of closing going on and I thought she ran pretty well into a pace. I don't know typically wasn't really wasn't all that fast. She had to pause a little bit at the top of the stretch. Finally got out was making up some significant ground on directive. And it seems like this has always been a filly that Marcasius has had some appeal for. I mean Branner in a very competitive allowance race on Oak's day if you remember that correct. That was first off bench got no pace in that race whatsoever. Some couple horses that have come out of there actually ran well in India a couple weeks ago both maximum offer and Betty's pearl Betty's pearl came back and won immediately after that race. I just thought it was a big enough price and obviously there are some doubts with her but it's going to be baked into the price whether or not she's able to get there in time. But at 15 to 1 if you're looking for an opportunity to separate yourself from the rest of your competitors in here. I mean this is this is really going to spring board you forward if she's able to get the job done. I don't mind this horse at all. I mean you can really easily eliminate the May 1st race off the bench and a race that didn't shape up all that well. She took a nice step forward in her second start at 3 and the rest of the the form just makes sense. You can see what has happened. She just needs a little bit of help up front. That's the key. If they go quick she's the one that that could really take advantage of that. Measure here as Noah gives you an outside the box horse in a pretty competitive CCA Oaks where you know we've made cases here for make four different horses. There's like a really strong top two that have won some big races so far and then another nice group right behind them as we mentioned directive zany and measure as all possible prices in the CCA Oaks. Let's flip to race number 11 here Barry. We're going to go five and a half furlongs on the turf course. I know you love some five for long five and a half furlong turf sprints. This is some bread and butter for you my friend. Let's talk about this one. These are New York breads first level allowance company pick five wise contests wise who are some of the the horses that you were looking at. Jane had the way I saw and had the way last night in the Odyssey when and checked when and checked that one out by myself because I got to say for about the next 10 days I'm alone. I'm home alone home boy alone home boy alone my significant other and my son are in Texas visiting the family and just because I've had a lot of travel recently I didn't end up going with them this time. I'm going to woodbine like a few weeks too so I'm kicking back. I'm going to be watching a lot of movies this week. I'm going to the theaters a lot. I'm doing a lot of stuff on my own. Barry let's talk about this race race number 11 who are some of the horses who you want. Yeah this is a really competitive spot. I mean I could I could give you about four horses that aren't going to be favored that that have a solid chance at a big price. I'm going to give you one in the three two-thill town or Tuthill town. I don't know how you want to say that but this horse is kind of flying under the radar a little bit. They ran a really good race back in November at back with a first time on the turf and it makes you wonder why they didn't go back to the turf. Yep until June of this year. I mean there was sometimes you know you could say in the winter time there was not really much for them. Then they come back in April. Ran a nice race first time out. Then they go again and get a terrible trip out wide for wide pursuit is the the comment in the form. Just never had a shot. No shot. Right. Then they they drop down slightly when big going six on the turf. I think they're they're pretty live here. Some nice works coming into this. I think they'll have a nice shot and the other one is Vernon Valley the eight. This horse kind of freaked out behind the gate before that last race and actually ran pretty good a lot better than what it looks like on the form and I don't believe that this horse actually needs to lead either. Riley Mott gets this horse from Mark Cassie. They go to Lasix. Some steady works. Get Manifranco here. I think they might be live at a price because they can sit a great trip right off the speed and there's a lot of it in here. But I couldn't be grudge anybody there. You could go any direction in here and I wouldn't kind of talk you off it. What's nice with Vernon Valley is you got that debut race where you see her sitting off the pace a little bit at five and a half for longs. The kind of trip that she may get in here where she has enough speed to stay close. But then she can make a move when needed and that's exactly what happened in that debut race for Vernon Valley. You mentioned the three berry that horses absolutely on my radar to note out about it. I picked five type horse for me and probably a contest type horse for me. Those two turf sprints are really, really good and just looking at the way the race could shape up. There are versions of this race where the four moonlight ready wants to go. The five Turega is for the place. The six Miss Jane Hathaway the seven. They could all be for the place. Even the eight Vernon Valley who we were just mentioning. There could be combos of like four or five horses in the middle of the pack all four of the placed honest reason towards the outside. That helps a horse quite a bit like the one that we were talking about coming from off the pace. The three that also would help a horse like the nine. She's our tiz who wants to sit back and make one late run. Noah who are some of the horses who are on your radar in this 11th race. Yeah, I think I think very put it nicely. I thought this race was absolutely impossible. I wish you could I wish you could abstain from this race in the contest. You have to play it. So I can make cases for about eight horses in here. I think the one horse I have just a bit more of an opinion than the rest of the other seven that I can make cases for. Was the four Moonlight ready? If you're not ran very, very well off of almost an 18-month layoff last time for Charlie Baker. I mean, she was a huge price that day and you're not going to get anywhere close to that today, which is maybe more of a case while you shouldn't bet her. But just the way that she ran that time, she did sit a little bit, which you guys talked about the speed in here. Seven's got some serious speed, the 11 from finger lakes when I watch her replace, it's broken like a rocket. So there probably is going to be a decent amount of speed in here. I would hope that she's able to sit the pocket because I watched her race last time. She did sit a little bit and then Delay Rivera. I don't know if she just decided, hey, I'm this is Philly's fault run. I'm just going to go ahead and go and she moved very aggressively and basically the fastest part of that race. I mean, they went 744 for 6 furlong. So they were moving right along. As they would hold on, you would expect her to be a little more fit second time off that long layoff. And just one of those horses only at four years old and two starts into the belt just a candidate for a big potential move forward. Get the likes of Johnny D. Which is not going to hurt. And if she's able to sit that pocket, I think just tell alone, she's probably one of the more talented runners in here. Bit paced compromise. But like I said, I thought you can make cases for so many different horses. I'm going to go with her as the contest player. She was a must use pick four pick five type of horse for me as well. Moonlight, moonlight ready here and probably the most competitive and maybe the most fun race in this entire pick five sequence here where you can just make a lot of different cases for horses. Race number 11. Let's close out the Saratoga pick five in the Saratoga portion of this contest with race number 12. We've got maiden $50,000 claimers. These are New York breads, three year olds and up going a mile and a 16th on the turf course here. Couple that were on my radar. Okay, first off, if you're a fan of the show Friends, this is from the episode of Friends where they have like the trivia game and Ross is asking the question, when Monica was a goalie in field hockey, what was her nickname? Big fat goalie in Joey Hanson's it like that. And I was like, no way. I wouldn't look at it again because I'm a huge friends fan. So shout out to whoever named this horse, just a fantastic name from a friends fan big fat goalie. Nonetheless, I'll mention two that are certainly on my radar. Barry, the four kind of looks like a makeover package sort of horse to me, right? Like Gilbein who is coming into a new barn, you're getting a first time gilding, you're getting a first time lay six. Like this is a horse who's getting a little class relief. They're moving in with New York breads for the first time. I just feel like this is going to be a good effort from Gilbein in this spot. Like they're going to be ready to fire a really big race on Saturday. Gilbein's one that's in the mix for me. And the number nine was another one that I definitely want to have. Cool. I think you can look at that last race. She had not raised from November to June. Abs or he had not. He absolutely needed the race. I think if you put a line right through it and you're looking at the races he ran last year, they were fine. He actually was a little bit closer up early in the race last time out. He was probably a little fresh and maybe a little keen. Now you get a drop in class to the New York bread made in 50 gamers, second start off the bench. You're getting lay six for the first time. I just think he's going to run a lot better in here. So a couple that are on my radar, the four and the nine and they both could be horses to play in the contest. They're both fun kind of horses to have in your pick fours or pick fives. If you're alive, if you're closing, let's go to you Noah. If you were alive in a pick five or how do you want to close this contest portion out over at Saratoga? Yeah, I'd use a few in here as well. I think you can make good cases for some of the logicals. Just the horses that are dropping from Bade especially to Bade and Cleming in general, the makeover horse that you made a good case for. I would definitely use him the five and the seven just dropping from the protected ranks into this Bade and Cleming field here today. I think you could make some strong cases for them. Another one that's dropping I think's probably going to get a little dismissed is the inside runner, Dingy Bar, who goes from the house post. Hell yeah, very. There we go. An outside post last time where he traveled so far and covered so much more ground than even the seven in this race today and really wasn't that far off of them. Now goes from an outside post to an inside post. They throw the blinkers on should be able to save a bit more ground, maybe be a bit more prominent in this race because sometimes when you get to these lower level rankings, he gets horses that don't really want to pass each other. So I think as long as KD Davis is able to maybe sit the pocket or maybe sit mid-pack, I think gives him a shot and obviously there are some doubts in here. There's going to be a lot of doubts with runners trying this made in Cleming range for the first time, but it should be baked in the price. I think he's a good alternative at a pretty decent number. Race number 12 here at Saratoga, closing it out, bury my friend. Who do we want to get to? Who do we want to close things out with? Yeah, I definitely agree with Dingy Barg. I thought that race, you could tell that the horse needed blinkers was just uninterested for like 75% of that race and then the horse kind of closed and it was too late because Sir Oscar got to jump on him and that horse kind of ran away a little bit. But Dingy Barg didn't run all that bad. Despite what the running line kind of looks like, I could see this horse improving, especially stretching out a little bit further, getting those blinkers on and getting good position or better position than they had that time. But another horse, I do like quite a bit in here, is the 10 photo. Another horse who kind of ran sort of like Dingy Barg, but just was a little bit closer. And if you look at his race in a vacuum, he ran a winning race and didn't get a great trip was kind of too wide the whole way and ran hard. I think this horse got a lot out of that race, which is why I think they step back up into the $50,000 level even though it is state breads. To get this horse where they need to be and I think that's really what they're doing here, I think this horse is on the verge of just kind of breaking through. Same thing with Kuleana, that horse went to the lead and that really isn't their bag. And it spelled like they had the idea that that was a prep race for another race. And it looks like this is it. Getting Lasix to the Inglehub bar is doing very, very well at the moment. So those three are ones that I would really key in on in a contest and pick five situation because they're all going to be prices. I can't help it, but what I see this horse run every time I think about, Tommy Boy, quit playing with your dingy when he just has screaming. I can't help it. And he's sitting there is like the boats all flat and the boats the boats about sinking on the one side. So yeah, that's what no, that's what the kids right after that too. Yeah, you're screaming at the kids. That's what's so great about handicap and a horse racing card. You just never know where the names are going to take you to the movies to the songs. I mean, we just can get off on the craziest tangents of all here. No, we should do. Gino, Gino, we should get your collaboration over the years on the tunes that you belted out on live. It's nice and warm in SoCal and we start out in race number one at Delamar This is a maiden $32,000 claimer in here mashy kneeblick Always got to look stuff up like this where I have no idea what it means an antique golf club roughly equivalent to the to the modern seven iron So now you learn something new every day a little mashy and nibblick here Barry that is a horse who's 12 to one doesn't really have a whole lot of form was a runner up last time out But a really light buyer speed figure it looks like on paper the one my girl Mia will get some support off that effort Swimmingly was a runner up. That's another one five six and seven I mean one five six and seven were kind of the four horses to me that I think would take a lot of money in here So they they were like on my radar How about for you from a pick five and from a contest standpoint who you looking at? Yeah, honestly the winner is probably gonna come from one of those four horses. Yeah I Just don't like the inside draw for my girl Mia and usually those kind of horses are always automatic bet against for me The six horse smoking house. I will say. Yeah, she is like when horses have that type of a lead First time out and just sort of stop either like she had so here's my girl Mia top of the lane This is exactly what you would be hoping for from her right if you bet her in this race or if you bet her on Saturday Top of the lane you are clear right here. This is exactly what you want like I keep watching this race. I'm like wow she How did she stop? Yeah, it was amazing. I didn't think she was gonna stop and then gradually Mementit just wore her down and and she really stopped because Mementit kind of drew off and Four links. Yeah, right and almost got nipped for second there. So you know that I you know It was a good effort for sure first time Lasix as well, but getting pinned down in the rail They only got one gear and they have to use that hand Early and that doesn't bode well for me because I think there's other horses that may be able to pin that one down and not get the best of trips But the six Smoking out stuff was been running in Kentucky and Oakland. It's yours named after you my friend Think about it either way Barry he himself is smoking hot stuff. Barry could also be smoking some hot stuff It could be either But those races in in Keenland and Churchill have to be or at least I think have to be better than what they're gonna face On Saturday But I don't know about the price because if people really feel like Gino does about that one race That the one had this horse is probably gonna be the favorite and money conflates not Right from like the one car to situation in a pick five situation. That's okay Right, right exactly. So I don't know it is really tough to tell who's gonna get bet I mean, I'm sure migramia is either gonna be the favorite or second choice So that leaves the five and the six for me the six because that that class I think is just a Bit more of an edge than everybody else and swimmingly is the other horse That caught my eye didn't get the Greatest of trips ran on well Aguio don't as goes to her go-to guy in Kent the sore mo It should be Formable in the spot. It looks like they found their friends and Should we listen you a little bit there for a second berry, but I got I got most of what you're saying Just cut out a little towards the end swimmingly had legitimate trouble in that race to kind of started and stopped And no I do I respect the seven a little bit to just based on the races that she's coming out of like I wonder if this same horse was Was gonna be running for like just a bigger named barn with a bigger name jockey board If she get bet a little bit more right? Not exactly right. I was gonna say just put your hand over the jockey and trainer if you put one her name is and Bob Alfred this horse is probably four to five. I mean, yeah Much better at least looking at the horses that are running in California I mean you can maybe make an argument with the horse coming from out of town But just look at some of the races each run as of recent you take a close look at her race on the dirt last time She was fractured in the gate. She was right around the far turn made up a decent late run But just gonna quite get there last time and yeah, I just think just based off of speed figures alone We hit on one five and six. I think the seven needs to be you know squarely put in that mix as well Yep, and the race on June the sixth what's nice about daily racing form when we're looking at the pps here You can always pull up the chart Summer set west who beat this horse came back to win the San Clemente yesterday Great to San Clemente the horse you finished third in that race goodies came back to win a pretty strong midden special weight race Erning a 79 buyer speed figure their day at the at the end of the card So that race has come back very very live and she's quick and she has a little bit of class as well So I think she's a nice fit in here Well, we're kind of all kind of getting at is that we just didn't really love the one if she's gonna be a shortage price down there Towards the inside I was kind of in the five six and seven mix here. No give us a final thought on this open or a delmar Yeah, we'll say though based on the DRF workout report looks like the ones training maybe a little bit better than she was going into that race last time But anytime you see a horse really spit the bit last time Just not super encouraged and she has to go to the extra half for long on Saturday And very said it. I mean this is a horse that draws the inside post typically not all that great going the the sprint distance on the Main track, I think the thing that works out in her camp is really the only speed so it just seems she could be winging it out there just a matter of how far she's gonna take It is race number one at Delmar on Saturday part of this fun in the Sun contest We've got some low level maiden claimers in race number two Barry my friend. Oh, I think Barry popped out So we'll see if he pops back in in just a second trying to get some of the the technical difficulties taken care of $16,000 maiden claimers Noah going six furlongs on the dirt So some of the horses who are going to take support in here you've got Baco country who's dropping in class face maiden Special weights in the first couple starts now moves into a new barn blinkers on pretty big drop for that one You've got tacos and tequila the blinkers coming on another one taking a big drop down in class and Brian Lynch sends this one out from From Ellis Park and from horseshoe in the then kind of opposite end of the spectrum Treximo has been racing at these types of levels and has been competitive So you've got horses who are coming out of tougher races who didn't show a whole lot Not exactly sure how good they are but should run a lot better here and then you've got a horse like Treximo Who you know kind of what you're gonna get from who put up a pretty nice effort and it's kind of a measuring stick here? Yeah, I don't know what you thought but I thought there was a chance that things could really heat up on the front end Sure, the horses that you had talked about Baco country gets blinkers on for the first time you would think you'd want to be a little bit forward Especially coming out of those turf races I always predict that those turf forces don't want to take a lot of kickback So therefore I want to get out in a clear Three's got some speed four's got blinkers on and showed speed in his only star Five's got some natural speed to do the blinkers on him as well and then the six like you mentioned The only thing that we've seen from him is his races where he's forward So I thought there's an outside chance and versions of this race where things do heat up on the front end I do like the 10 a little bit bucks action who is his only start on the main track was this first career start It was also against better you know you ran fine. It was a even start Robert Hess is not really a guy that you typically see you don't have his horses crank first out I thought it's effort on the grass second time was impressive I know things kind of heated up in front of him that day I thought ran really well to get third runner up that day came back in one and then something just happened last time Pulled up in that race had some time off but working consistently There's just gonna be so much pace in front of him I think things are gonna set a well form blinkers come off I use our eyes which according to me is is never a bad thing I mean you talked about summer set west how about the ride that he gave in the same oh my god That was like as good of a ride as you'll ever see and like on any horse Sadler was like wow that was he said something like that too like I don't know if I've ever seen him ride a horse that great So shout out to him because that was awesome and I don't think he has to necessarily pull a rabbit out of his hat Like he did in that race. I mean he just kind of has to let the speed go But one I think that will be running late Then he should get a bear price up Barry my friend. I think we you're back in here now. Let's talk a little bit about this second race Who are some of the horses that are on your radar? Oh not here in your berry see if we can get you back here Let's try this one more time. There was a berry my friend. So for me Noah Yeah, I think bacon County is a is a horse to oh man. We got you. We got you It's funny. It was like the same sort of thing happened when we were doing the the show that are day with Ryan like The last 10 minutes or so is where we started to struggle a little bit where we were getting some connection issues So Barry let me know if you're good and we'll we'll get you back popped in here in just a second. I looked at the horses in the middle, like the, the four and the five are the real wild cards of this race, right? Because we just don't know who these horses are yet. They're getting some class relief. I'm saying relief from the horse at turfway who comes in from the made in 15 level. But I actually think that race is probably equally as competitive. First time gilding, the blinkers coming on, they're both kind of fun horses to use for me and pick four and pick five situations. And maybe the four would even be a horse that I would play in a contest scenario. I would have no problem taking a shot in here. It's, it's just a difficult race to have like the really strong opinion on to really. So it happens at these low level made races, right? That's why this is a maiden 16, right? You just don't have a whole lot of form on paper to go off of. So yeah, for me, the four Simmer on strip, if we could hit like over six to one, that may be a horse that I would look to play in here. I would also, I was also giving a look to maybe Texas Wildcat as a horse who think is a little bit better than the last race or two might look on paper. Noah gives you a bucks action as a really intriguing one and around eight to one on the morning line. I also gave a look at this horse Manila Bay. So the damn sunset glow was a grade one winner. So there's a little pedigree here for this horse. And, and Bondy can certainly get a horse ready to fire like first time out if the horse is ready. It's just not an easy post. First time out of the box. Noah had been drawn way to the outside here. Yeah, that's exactly right. And I, I'm not too worried about the, you know, in for the tag first dogs. I think 10,000. Yeah, obviously worry, you know, a daughter of a grade one winner. Why did this horse like over 10,000? But you look at this field top to bottom. There's really nobody that he should be scared of. He's just one of those types. Maybe you, you want him next time. But then again, if there are all these horses that are backing up in front of him and he's getting going at the right time, you know, he'd be one. I can give a strong case to it. Pretty big number. The powers that be we're trying to keep Barry out of our, our stream yard show. We'll see if he's back in here now. Barry, my friend. Can you hear us? And you have any thoughts on this second? It's, it's a struggle. Yeah, issue where having, but it's going to go for it. The floor is yours. But Baco County is the horse that I, I like in that race. Race to a Delmar. Baco County seems like a good fit. Getting one Hernandez for the first time with the blinkers on for Blaine, right, who does good with new acquisitions. This horse should get a really good trip. And I think going back to the dirt makes a lot of sense. The 10 horse, Bucks County is a, is a horse that I like quite a bit in here. Makes you wonder why they even went to the turf in the first place. This horse didn't really run all that great. But I think this horse may have improved, especially off the layoff should come running at a price. That would be a horse that I would really look about, really closely at, for contest play as well as the four similar on strip. I can give, I can forgive that effort. First time out just didn't do any running. Gets blinkers on Kyle Frey second time out. You know, change the, the, the trainer. But I think that horse might have a shot even though they didn't do much running. They were bad a little bit over there at Turfway on the synthetic. They probably just didn't want any part of it. Not an easy lower level maiden race. We both mentioned Bucks action. Your boy right here, Gina Bacola starred in a movie called Chuck in Buc. If you ever want to see me as a child actor, you can check that out. What's funny is the, the man who like wrote the movie is Mike White, the guy from the White Lotus, who's like become like huge over the last couple of years. The one that's what wrote the white Lotus. He wrote School of Rock. He wrote Orange County and some of those. And I actually was in a movie with him years back. So if you ever want to check that out and see like a 12 year old Gino acting in a movie Chuck in Buc. Here's Bucks action. Let's get that one home. Barry and Noah mentioned Bucks action is a very possible contest play in a tricky second race. Let's move to race number three. This one is the Osunidas going a mile on the Turf course. No, I think they probably put it earlier on the card because it's not the biggest field in the world. I don't know if you're going to have a 15 or 20 to one shot in here. But I did think that like even the four horses down on the inside really wouldn't shock me if any one of those four one Mayday ready is getting some class relief. Sakura Sands comes into the US for the first time. This is a group stakes winner who is face. I picked John Quill in the Breeders Cup. I think so. This this is ours is face some really tough company. Certitude might be able to get the lead in here in a race where there's not that much early speed and the drop really makes sense for public assembly who hasn't been running all that bad the last year, year and a half. She's just been facing horses that are just a little bit better than her. Yeah, this was a this was an interesting race because it seems like the major players in this division who ran first and second the game the last time thought process and rosh me just interesting that they don't end up showing up. I think rosh me is actually entered at woodbine on Saturday. Yeah, I'll just see thought process you'll probably see later on in the B. So just from a quality standpoint, it's maybe not the greatest group of horses from the west coast in this division, the the older Phillies and theirs, which is why I just kept going back to the four invaders. Sakura Sands, you had a new face. Just seems like she's been facing much much better. You mentioned John Paul who was in the breeder's cup, a very good horse over there, won the oak tree the race prior and when you look at it's always hard to decide when you look at these European horses coming over for the first time because the speed figures give you some indication that you're not you know exactly super lenient on those. Yeah, typically you see these European types improve you know in the five to ten maybe even fifteen point type range from what you see from them. You go to the time form. I mean she's really right there if not all that far off some of these other types in here and it just seems like when you see these European horses come over, they do improve pretty naturally. So it seems like she's if not on par a little bit better than these types and I just keep going back to the possibility that if with your $10 win bet if you get a chance to you know make thirty or anywhere in the thirty to thirty five dollar range, I'm all for it. Sign me up. I think she's you know a real talent here. Especially if it's not a big difference between her and two or three other horses in this race. Yeah. Yeah. If you're not getting if she's not like an overwhelming favorite and you really feel like yeah this new face is just so much classier than the the others in here. Barry my friend, how about for you do you feel like this this invader stands out in here or are you looking in different direction? Think oh there we go. The Kurosans is probably the most likely winner on the card. I think the Kurosans might be the most likely as winner on the card. Yeah. That horse really ran with some good company overseas. I just don't think that these horses in that class is just a matter of whether this horse is ready or not. I guess the question mark would be is the trainer in the in the time. Yeah. But as I like to ask the question would you bet would you bet secretariat if I train them? Of course you would because you know that horse is really good. Yes. But I really thought this was a two horse race. Mayday Reddy is the other one with a lot of class. They can win this race but it might be up against it based on the fact that they like to close a little bit. But Camero is going to be aggressive and get this horse in position. So it looks like just two one all day long and then certitude is the other horse that I kind of like a little bit. Another one that's going to be forwardly based. But beyond that I really don't see much happening behind them. It's funny. I was watching just in the background the episode of The Simpsons came on when Homer is trading horses last night. And it's like he's the whispers the horse whisperer and he just whispers when the race starts run really fast. And that's like I'm that's what I'm picturing for very trading the horse is like he's just coming up to him and when it's when the race starts go run the fastest of all. So very and his horse trading. A lot more explotives. I was going to say yeah a few more f-bombs here and there with the secure sands looks like the class no doubt it's a really great spot for her. So if you could see her run well here and then show up in a much tougher graded stakes somewhere later in the meat or somewhere around the country following this but it's a really nice spot for Sakura sands in race number three on Saturday at Del Mar. Let's move to a maiden special weight race for two year olds here. This one like most of these races at Del Mar you would imagine will have a couple Bob Bavaria runners. You've got Domus the number two. You've also got the number seven NAR who is the one that has more experience lost to Kenny ten who I believe very picked first time out of the box who was a nice winner on June the 12th. And then of these first time starters while they haven't been firing a bunch with first time starters as of late. I thought both the dug O'Neill horses looked kind of good in the workouts and wouldn't shock me as horses that are fair prices with dang sun and with whiskey bridge. Let's start here with you Barry my friend who are some of the two year olds that you want in this race. You know from from a contest perspective this where this race is positioned. could be real pivotal. Because you could get a price here and it could vault you up to the more than dang sun. There have to robusta was quick and these workouts are really quick. I think this was going to be formidable. I know Thomas will probably take most of the action for Baffert. That last workout is insanely fast and the damn Der Lou one at first asking. So I'm sure that horse is probably going to be in the seven to five range. But whiskey bridge could be a little bit of an overlay and get it done. You know, robusta is very percusious. And those workouts aren't that far off. Don't miss it. All the June 27th work you can see on first dot TV or the June 17th work worked outside of phone booth was going slightly better waiting on arrival phone booth one first time out of the box. Then on June the 27th worked inside head to head was really kind of holding this course was full of run like they were just not letting him loose. I think he's got some serious ability. I think he's going to run really, really well in here. Hera Mia had a four win day last weekend and Doug think they prime and they point a lot of the horses, especially for early in the Del Mar meat so they can run him a couple different times. So maybe our buddy Ryan will be jumping in the winter circle. No, if we can get one of these dug on yield horse is how what do you think about this two year old race? Yeah, I like the horse that you just mentioned. Ryan's boy, Dougy fresh as that one hell of a start to the meat. I think the big problem that poses for him is he can maybe find himself in a sandwich of speed because I think stable mates got some speed. The bafford runner has got a lot of speed. That was one that was actually on Bradfrey's preview when he did the two year old preview. And then the five to just his outside poses as a speed thread as well. So you assume that clump of horses would probably show some speed in there. I like the four and I thought the eight was one that was interesting as well. Yeah, another one that might benefit from some added ground but $275,000 purchase son of Jack Christopher, who's had a slow start to his his stud career. But as looked well and worked well in the mornings, Jack Christopher won his debut, the day won his debut. So there haven't been any civs. So there's not much to go off of there. And if they do he thinks up up front, this is one that's going to be run and lay for sure. I think the most important thing you're to talk about is this is the territory where you start talking about game theory because if you find yourself in a position where you know, you're only a couple bucks back of the leader. The race five seems like a race that maybe you could get some prices in as well. You would be perfectly fine with taking domes who could be in the four to five to six to five range. You know, if you're out of it, it's just a horse that you can't afford. So you'll have to go price shopping. Yeah, it this race looks looks kind of like Baffer and a Neal, right? You got the two Baffer and you got the two O'Neill's who do look really, really tough in here. I had a kind of a tough case making. I think if you're going to go for one other horse, it's the one that you mentioned at the outside clear and present for tomorrow with little red feather who's we showed the damn actually won the debut stakes placed on the turf solid little two year old race maidens a lot of first time starters here. This is going to go as race number four five and a half for longs on the dirt. Let's close out this early pick five. Let's close out the fun in the sun contest. Mile on the turf race number five. We've got Calabras first level allowance company here Noah and the middle of this field. Horses like the four showed speed last time out was a runner up in the snow chief the five steak fries couple back to back runner up efforts. Warm sun and brew has been pretty good in spots like this at this level go in a mile and then you know, those are probably some of the horses in the top tier here. How did you see this race? How would you want to close out the contest or even a pick five. Yeah, if I'm in first place in this race, I would feel pretty good because I think that there's multiple directions to go in here or some reason is probably going to be the favorite in here, but you know, he's been a little disappointing as a late necessarily that he's burned money. I mean, he's lost the favorite a couple times, but just one that doesn't seem to have a real knack for the wire four seconds in seven career starts. I did stuff go things like I said, I thought Trump era. I watch his race last time on the snow chief and really really well that he's completely fell apart. I know that he's a big price that day, but there's not really a confirmed front runner in this race. The two's got a little speed to his inside the horse just to his outsides probably the one that the post says the main speed threat stretching out from the sprint distances going to turn for the first time, but you know, Maldonado is going to be aggressive, probably going to find himself on the front end and another candidate that just has a potential opportunity to make a step forward only as his third try on the grass as a, you know, and he's going to be a little bit more aggressive. He's going to be a little bit more aggressive. I think he's going to be a little bit more aggressive. It just doesn't line up the same way. They stand a better shot to finish in a race like this than they did in the other two that they ran. That one's very interesting because I think that one will end up being a higher priced and Trump era before we move on really important question for you steak fries, shoe string fries, crinkle cut fries, which way are you going Barry? Yeah, they just had a I used to get crinkle cut fries at Orlando Highlight with a lot of ketchup. There we go. The best thing ever out here in SoCal. We got Del Taco with the crinkle cut fries. That's a that's one that's very famous. I used to roll down there a lot. You can get the curly fries as well, but steak fries are fine. But I just they're probably one of my least type favorite favorite. I prefer the shoe string. I prefer the crinkle cuts to those as well. But I interrupt you for the least. I'm free. Okay. Yeah. Kind of in the direction with like, I think we're both you and Barry have been going to like Trump era is it's a horse that's hard to leave out of a pick for a pick five. There's definitely versions of this race where this horse gets loose on the lead and can steal this race. I think steak fries you very mentioned is super logical. And what's funny if you if you look at warm sun and brew and you feel like warm sun and brew is kind of like solid at this level high planes drifter has not been too far behind warm sun and brew repeatedly. And again, like contest and game theory. If this is the end of the tournament for you and you're looking for a bigger price. This is a horse who's not far behind. Just isn't a wind machine and would need the right type of trip. I don't know if there's enough speed in here to set it up for him, but just from a pure value based standpoint. If it's the end of the contest. This could be a horse that I think a lot of people are are taking like stabs on high planes drifter. The only other one that I wanted to mention that we didn't really talk about too much was the 10 keep dancing Nick. Look at this horse's races going long on the grass. They're just better back last year broke the maiden at 10 to 1 making a nearly move. That was after finishing third behind vodka vodka. Both of those races are fine. The race in May of 2025 finishing fourth only beaten three quarters of a length at 63 to 1. That's a pretty good effort. So to me, it's just noticeable that the race is going a mile or a mile and a 16th on the grass much better than the sprints. Now you can see he sprinted twice to set him up for this. Now he's going to go third start off the layoff he's going to stretch out. I think he's a little bit sneaky. He's definitely a horse that I want to throw in in some of my pick fives early pick fives. And again, if you're at the point in this tournament where you're looking for some bigger prices. This would be one that I would mention keep dancing Nick. So no one my friend, we covered a lot of ground man, we got 10 races in the books here, 5 over at Saratoga, we got 5 more over at Delamar. And we know that we can find even more work from you and we can follow along with you on social media. Great work with the best bets last week and we've been getting a lot of positive feedback man.
