Salvation Series Recap: Contemplations of Salvation
0m 0s
The teaching centers on the necessity of knowledge in salvation, emphasizing that receiving salvation is only the beginning—true transformation comes through understanding it. The speaker uses the illustration of a chicken tied to a pool to show how ignorance leads to helplessness and spiritual stagnation. When knowledge is gained, the individual moves beyond limitation and begins to live freely. This is rooted in Scripture, such as Hosea 4:6, which states that people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. The speaker argues that salvation is not just a one-time event but a lifelong reality grounded in understanding. True salvation is God’s work—eternal, secure, and unchangeable, as affirmed in Ephesians 2:8–9 and Solomon’s statement that “whatsoever God doeth, it shall be forever.” Eternal life is not a future promise but a present condition of being freed from condemnation and death, as described in John 3:16 and John 5:24. Salvation involves a shift from death to life, not from life to a better life. The believer is not merely saved, but built into God’s dwelling, a “habitation of God through the Spirit” (Ephesians 2:21–22). This makes salvation a secure, divine building, not a fragile achievement. The speaker warns against questioning salvation through the lens of the saved, urging instead to focus on the builder—God. Finally, salvation is an escape from sin and the power of darkness, achieved through Christ’s death and resurrection, and requires continual vigilance to avoid losing this truth. The message concludes with a call to embrace the present reality of eternal life, which is already lived in the believer through faith in Christ.

Speaker 2
Oh, thank you, Yahweh, thank you, Yahweh, let's agree in prayer.
Heavenly Father, we give you praise and thanks for you, an awesome father.
We thank you for your love that you have poured abroad in our hearts.
Father, we say thank you.
Lord, we ask that even as Your word comes forth tonight that our hearts are set to receive.
We lend our spirit to the Spirit of the living God that work within us, that out of our vessel precedes revelation, Knowledge in the knowledge of the Spirit that we are so richly received, that through this the burden of ignorance is dematerialized to your glory.
And we the beneficiary give you praise.
Father, we say thank you throw your weight in our midst tonight.
We pray that the eyes of our understanding are enlightened.
We give you praise and we give you glory, for in Jesus name we have prayed.
Amen, Amen and Amen.
What an amazing time to be here again looking at God's word.
Now, just a quick caveat before we take our declaration and get into exaltation and to the heart of what we are here to do tonight.
OK, so I know from what we spoke about, we're meant to be doing recap.
Yeah, we're meant to be on our recap, right?
This was meant to be our second to last recap or yeah, our second to last recap prior our Castle, our Cal session and our next teaching series.
But as we may have it, we are, we're still here.
I was having some contemplations tonight, or rather in the course of today, and there was something that I felt very strongly to share in the, in aspartining salvation.
So hence tonight's teaching.
Does that mean we are not going to get into the next series?
Not quite, not quite, not quite exactly.
So this is just going to be a should I say a side quest on our journey to the Bible study series.
Amen.
But next week I'm going to have our normal recap session and then we would would meet again up a week for our cow session and then our next by our next series begins.
Alright, let's take our declaration even as we start this evening.
Just declare with me.
Say I am set to receive God's Word.
My heart is fertile ground for the word of God's grace.
I believe the truth of God's Word.
My mind is acceptive.
My heart is receptive.
Let's take that line again.
Say my mind is acceptive and say my heart is receptive.
I receive instructions in righteousness to edify me and build me up.
I will never be the same again.
Now you know the drill will take the last line again.
I will never be the same again.
Glory, glory, glory, glory to God.
Finding Strength and Reliance in God's Presence
All right, let's get into our exhortation tonight.
Psalms 46 and verse one.
Psalms 46 and verse one.
Psalms 46 and verse one.
Glory be to God.
Glory be to God.
Glory be to God.
Nice to have you in our midst, Brother Patrick.
All right, glory be to God.
Psalms 46 and verse one.
We'll take our exhortation and then we jump into what we have to do tonight.
Now Psalm 46, I was 1 and it says, it says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
What do we see as being presented to us?
God as a refuge, God strengths as a very no, you know, there is no way God is painted.
God is not just printed as a a refuge and his strength.
Look at what look at look at what the look at what the psalmist to say.
He says a very present help in trouble.
God is not just a help in trouble.
God is a very present help in trouble.
You know, God is that friend, or rather God is that reliability that is consistently reliant.
God is 10 / 10 times present.
The psalmist doesn't say he's a is a is a help in terms of no, he qualifies the help.
He says a very present help a very you know, you know, you need to, you need to respect the adjectives given here.
A very present help means that 10 / 10 times you come back on God, 10 / 10 times you come back on God.
Cast your mind to the past, see how God has shown up time and time again.
You know, that should strengthen your, your resolve that God is a God that you can cast your cares on, that you can rely on.
You know, we're looking at something in the course of the The Salvation series that were should I say what correctly or no, meandering our way through, but we established something from sounds 103.
Man has a dilemma.
So the families we say forget, not the benefits.
What is the dilemma of man?
Man is prone to forgetting.
Man can be caught about with the business of life, with the turbulent nature of of of life's cares that man will forget that God is dependable.
So this is what the psalmist is saying.
He says God is our refuge, our strengths, a very present help in trouble.
You know this is a this is the charge to you as life deals you life.
Remember you have a help in God, you have a reliance in God.
You have you have you have you have so fortitude in God.
Let's go on.
He says therefore we therefore will not, we fear, though the earth be removed and this, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea, Though the waters there, there, there off roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling, there off there is a river, the streams where off shall make glad the city of God.
Oh, glory be to God, glory be to God.
You are made glad by the provision of ABBA.
Yeah, yeah, you are made glad by Abba's provision.
Let's continue the holy place of the Tabernacle of the Most High.
Look at this 50 God is in the midst of God is now a mist.
God is now a dwelling.
God is in our dwelling.
Look at what he says.
He says she shall not be moved.
So the sound is to start a narration.
The earth is removed, the mouth is carried into the midst of the sea.
Then the sound is now trickle down into the fire and say, but God is within her, she shall not be moved.
So the seeds moving around me, they do not conduct my demeanor.
I am a man unshaking.
I'm a man unmoved because God is in my midst.
God is in my midst, so things might seem might seem crazy right now in my family.
Things might not seem the way I want them to see me in my ministry.
Oh oh business wise I am not where I projected, but I know one thing for sure, God is within me.
I will not be moved.
I will not give my heart to vain thinking and warriors worry, No I will not be.
I will not be moved.
What is my resolve?
My resolve is this.
God is my very present helping time of trouble.
Glory be to God, glory be to God.
Now let's get to because of time.
Let's go to verse seven who who?
I love this seven.
He says the Lord of hosts is with us.
What shall we then say to the things that are that are going on around us that we have no control over?
He says the Lord of hosts is with us for the things that seem like they are getting out of hands.
How do I calm my mind?
The Lord of hosts is with us.
When, when it seems like things are going beyond, beyond my my reason and beyond my understanding, the Lord of hosts is with us.
What is my constant approach to the worries of life?
God is my very present help.
God is my very you know God is not that God that will leave you at the sight of trouble.
No, no, no, no.
Oh, oh, oh, let's go to Psalms 23.
I'm spending too much time on this execution, but I know that I ought to do this.
Psalms 23.
Psalms 23.
Psalms 23.
A very common Psalm.
Look at the Lord is my shepherd.
I shall not want.
Let's continue.
He make it me to lie down.
Look at he make it, He make a please follow the progression.
He make me to lie down in green partials.
He OK the he that make me to lie down, What is he seen doing?
He leads me beside the sea waters.
Look at the three He restores OK the he that makes me to lie down is the he that leads me is the same he that restoreth my soul.
He leadeth OK.
So we see God consistently doing the work He leaded me in the path of righteousness for his Now I beg you look at verse four.
Yeah, though I look there is the he make at me, he lead at me, he restore it, He lead at me.
Now verse 4 says, yeah, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil that is in the course of of his leading.
Say I now go, go on, go on, on my, on my, on my wings.
God is not a God.
I will say, OK, Abby, I said you should go left.
You went right.
OK, fine.
Sort out yourself.
No, he says, yeah, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.
Why am I fearing no evil?
Thou art with me.
Yahweh is with you.
The Lord of hosts is with you.
You have your very present help presently with you.
So when you go through like, what is your heartland?
What is your posture?
I take Yahweh is with me, The Lord of hosts is with me.
Let your heart be resolute in distance.
That God is with me.
Yeah.
I don't go through life alone.
I don't go through life alone.
I am not doing life alone.
No, no, no, no, no, no.
You know there is this common saying that adulting is hard.
My dear, you are not adulting alone.
God is with you.
Yahweh is with you.
He is your very present.
No, I beg you, take into cognizance this.
I know you are knowledgeable.
Yeah, I know you, you are skilled in, in terms of, of, of manipulation of knowledge and, and, and the things that you have.
But I want you to recognize something greater.
What is that thing?
Yahweh is your very present help.
Yahweh is with you.
God is with you.
ABBA is with you.
You are not without comfort.
You are not without help.
You are not without provision.
You are not without leadership.
You are not without guidance.
You are not without company.
For the King of Glory, the Lord of hosts, oh, He has chosen to call you home.
You know God is so close to you that He is within you.
Yeah, that is that's how close God is to you.
God is so close to you that beyond a tangible association, he's within you.
He dwells.
He has chosen to call you home.
You are not God's vacation center.
You are God's home.
God doesn't take vacations on you or you know, God is not the God I say, oh, I have had a let let me just take a break.
Let me just come and spend the weekend in in this system in this, but I know God perpetually is found within you.
You are never without help.
You are never without the Father.
Glory be to God.
Glory be to God who I just want to release in my spirit.
We can get into what we have to do tonight.
Unlocking Salvation's Power Through Understanding the Truth
Glory be to God, glory be to God.
What a way to start.
What a way to start now.
Like I said, I was, I was contemplating on salvation today.
I think that's what I'm going to name tonight's teaching contemplations of salvation.
Yeah.
And in the course of, in the course of just studying and just going over my notes in preparation for tonight, there's something an illustration that the Lord brought to my heart, right.
I had this in church and I feel like this is the best way to start tonight's teaching.
And the illustration the pastor gave was there was a chicken that was tied to a pool.
We saw, we saw, we saw rope, right?
And this chicken was left.
Let's say for the sake of this illustration, let's use two months, right?
So this chicken who was used to running free, roaming free, woke up to discover that he was tied to a pool with a rope.
So this chicken sought to run and then after covering a particular distance, the rope yanked him back, right?
And then he he sought to go farther.
He could not.
He sought and sought and sought.
He got tired and he could not.
The next day came, same thing he could not.
Second we came, same thing he could not.
Third we came, same thing he could do.
By the 4th week, the chicken began to live his life within the scope of how far he could go.
So it was observed that at the fault the chicken was not even trying to even go.
Was he trying to run away?
Was not trying to run because he knew that every attempt was going to, you know, you the same return him being yanked back.
So he stopped trying.
Now it continued on next month, first week, second week, third week.
At the end of next month, the the rope was was tied was unloosed, right?
So basically this chicken was free.
But it was noticed that though this chicken was free, this chicken did not walk in freedom.
Why was it like that?
Because this chicken, though he was free, did not have the knowledge that he has freedom.
Let's go to Hosiah chapter 4 and verse 6.
Hosiah chapter 4 and verses.
Let's look at what the prophet would say.
Hosiah is after Genesis.
For as many of you that are looking for Hosiah, just keep on going.
After Genesis, we see Hosiah just keep on going.
Just keep on going.
So 9th, I beg you, in case we pass the one hour mark, just be patient with me because we have quite some things to discuss and I promised myself I will not rush.
Being that this is not a recap per SE, I ain't going to rush anything.
Hosiah chapter 4 and verse 6.
Are we there?
Can I get some emojis if you are there?
I know we are all using, you know, a few of us are using the hard copy Bible, but are we there?
Are we there, are we there, are we there?
Can I get emojis?
All right, all right, all right, one more and we would read are we there?
Are we there, are we there?
Glory be to God.
Hosiah is after Genesis for the ones that are searching for there, open your Bibles.
That's what I mean by this.
Turn your Bibles.
This is not the kind of class you see every time.
Let me just listen.
No, turn your Bibles in the name of Jesus.
Oh, there's four and six now.
I beg you.
I want you to follow along.
Look at what the prophet to say says.
My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge.
So Hosiah is pointing to the fact that a predictament is the product of 1's knowledge bandwidth.
So the extent to which you know is what will is what would determine your your predicament.
So Hosea is saying my people are facing the predicament of destruction, why they lack knowledge.
So on the other end, if my people be given to knowledge, my people will be saved.
Glory be to God.
So the same way in the illustration of the chicken, if the chicken now gets knowledge that way to if I take a step further than my than my limitation and he sees that, ah, I'm not yank back, he takes another step.
He takes five more steps.
He takes more steps.
He takes 10 more steps.
At a particular point that chicken will be seen running, not because he could not run all along, but because knowledge has now rendered him, has now shown him that the abilities he has within can be expressed.
So acquisition is not really the end of of a scene per SE, but rather acquisition begs a need for greater knowledge.
What I'm saying is that it's not just needed that a man, a believer, acquire salvation, but that man needs knowledge of that salvation in order to rightly express or rightly live in that which he has received.
Glory be to God.
Let's go to Psalms 82 and verse 5.
Psalms 82 and verse 5.
Psalms 82 and verse 5.
So I beg you, please, please, please and please turn your Bibles there.
It's a Bible study.
So let's follow along.
Psalms 82 And I am in, thank you, Yahweh.
And I am in verse 5.
Look at what He says.
He says they no not OK, look at what exactly saying they know not, neither will they understand.
They walk on in darkness.
All the foundation of the earth are out.
Of course.
Look at the six I have said, Ye are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High.
Look at what's but ye shall die like men and fall like one of the Princess.
Why are they dying like men?
Why are they dying like one of the Princess?
Look, our vest 5 says they know not.
So when a man is devoid of the proper knowledge, what's the man subjected to?
He's subjected to a mediocre reality.
Not because that is what, look, this is going to bless you.
Go to first Timothy 2, First Timothy 2 now.
Not because that's the reality that person is directly proportionate to.
No, he does not have the right react, the right knowledge to engage his proper and adequate reality.
Look at First Timothy 2, First Timothy 2.
Remember, we are contemplating salvation right while laying the building blocks for what we would do tonight, what we'll do tonight.
Glory be to Yahweh, glory, glory, glory be to God, Amen.
Glory be to God, glory be to God, glory be to God in the highest, Amen.
First Timothy 2 and I am in this Oh thank you Jesus, and I am in.
Let's start from verse 3.
For this is the good, and for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior.
What is that?
Look for who will have all men to be saved.
OK, so God is a God that has not just has not just rendered salvation right, but his intent is that men come into salvation.
But look at it doesn't end there.
Look at I beg you, follow along and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
So look at acquisition of salvation is not the final bus stop, but is in the knowledge of that which you have received.
Go doctor the way to just get salvation and then oh, that's it full stop.
That's, you know, end of the story.
Hunky Dory.
No, that in that you have received.
There is a knowledge that you have on what you have.
There is a knowledge you have that that would that would that would give you what's the word I'm looking for that would equip you rightly with that which you have glory be to God.
So it is not that I acquire, but I I know that which I have acquired.
Let's go to John 831.
This is what Jesus would say John 831, John chapter 8 and verse 31, John chapter 8 and verse 31.
Look how it says.
Then Jesus said to those Jews which believe the name, if ye continue in my word, then ye are my disciples indeed.
Look at message 2 and ye shall know the truth.
I beg you, I beg you, I beg you, underline that word no, and ye shall know the truth.
Why are we emphasizing this?
Because OK, I'm going to talk about that.
But look at Let's read.
Let's read, and ye shall know.
No, no, no.
Know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Truth in and of itself cannot make a man free.
It is the truth the man knows that makes him look at all.
Ye shall know the truth.
That truth which you know shall now make you free.
It is not you shall receive the truth of you are giving the truth, and no, it is that you shall know the truth.
When you now know the truth, what is the end result?
You are made free.
So it is so.
So truth in and of itself does not give man freedom.
It is the truth that you know that benefits you.
Glory be to God.
So the need to know salvation is to know that which you have.
You know, we were looking at the cost of the salvation series, that the enemy operates in the grey area of ignorance.
Look at Acts 26, Acts 26, You know, we looked at this one.
We talked about debunking the, the power of darkness.
Let's just do a, a, a, let's say a crash course on that now.
But let's say crash.
Let's just rush through it immediately right now we have quite some things to do tonight, so let's just try and rush through that Acts 26 Acts 26 and I am invest 17 Acts 26 yes, and you can catch me in verse 7.
So look how it says delete.
Oh OK, let's let's start for verse 17 right, delivering or jumping into the middle of the top.
Please forgive me delivering the Oh no, no, no, no, no, no.
OK, let's start from this 1st 14 for context.
Now this is Paul narrating his you know what had happened on the road to Damascus, right?
Look how he says.
And when we were all falling to the earth, I heard, I mean verse 14, I heard a voice speaking unto me and saying in the Hebrew tongue, so, So why they executed down me?
It is hard for Dee to kick against the priest.
I saw something about, OK, sidebar, sidebar, sidebar, sidebar, sidebar.
I will get back to what we're reading, but look at what Saul says.
Paul says that.
Let's be verse 14.
And when we were falling to the earth, I heard a voice speaking up to me and saying in the blue tongue, OK, what language does Jesus speak?
You know, from this you will try to say, ah, it seems like Jesus speaks in Hebrew.
OK, in this narration you are not wrong because what he says, that Saudi saying, when he spoke to me, I heard him in the Hebrew tongue.
So does that mean if Jesus had to speak to me right now, are we hearing in Hebrew?
No, you know, we looked at this in the course of our ultra's meeting, right?
Well, we said the mind is the spirit canvas, right?
I don't want to get into that, but I just saw something.
So for many of us that were there, this is going to just light up right to you.
But if you're not there, please do want to go back to the teachings, right?
So yeah.
So let's continue.
So.
So why persecuted down me?
It is hard to kick against the pricks, right?
So Paul is recounting what had happened, right?
And I said, and I said, Who are thou, Lord?
And he said, I am Jesus, whom thou persecuted butter eyes, and stand upon thy feet for have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of the things which thou have seen, and to those things in which I will appear unto thee.
OK, look at verse 17.
Delivering thee from the people and from the Gentiles, unto whom I will send the OK, look at this. 18I beg you, I beg you, I beg you.
You know your, your, your, your attention should be attentive right?
Now.
Look at this 18 So open their eyes and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan, Satan unto God.
So what is the power of Satan?
Look at so open their eyes and to turn them from darkness to light that and remember Kai, it means that is right.
That is from the power of Satan.
So the So the darkness, which is the ignorance of men's heart, is actually the power of Satan.
So what is the turning of man from darkness to light, from ignorance to knowledge?
It is the turning of man from the power of Satan onto the power of God, that we may receive the forgiveness of sins and inheritance among them, which are sanctified by faith.
That is in me.
What is.
What is Jesus in this sense saying to Paul?
Jesus is telling Paul that the ministry which has been given to you is that to torment eyes from darkness unto light, from ignorance unto knowledge.
Why are we emphasizing on that?
Because God has given man something in salvation.
Or rather, God has given man something that is salvation.
In that salvation God insights, God is intense, God is king.
That man knows that which man has received, Because in your ignorance, that is in that destruction, in your ignorance, then the power of darkness is recognized.
So get a man knowledgeable on that which the man has received.
In that doing you have disarmed the power of darkness.
In that doing you have equipped a man with the power of God.
He has received.
Glory be to God.
Are we following?
Are we following?
Can I get some emojis?
Are we following?
Are we following?
Glory be to God, Glory, glory, glory be to God.
Let's continue, right?
Understanding the Savior, the Saved, and What We're Saved From
So the knowledge of that which we have received, it is pivotal.
You can't, it's not, it's not even non negotiable.
We need to know that which we have received.
Glory be to God.
So salvation being the core topic of what we are looking at is, is is OK, Let let me put it like this.
Salvation is a concept built upon various characteristics, various characters.
If you mean now the whole, I think I said this in the course of the salvation series.
I can't tell where exactly, but I said that the fact that there is a saviour instills the reality, or rather the fact that there is salvation instills the reality that there is a saviour.
There is no salvation without the presence of a saviour.
That is, when we talk about salvation, we are talking about a saviour because salvation is the product of a savior.
The savior gives salvation.
So OK, that is a character.
Now if we say there is a savior, that by necessity means that there is one that is being saved.
So the reality or the Press of a savior interjects the reality and the necessity, or rather the, the, the, the, the presence of the safe of a person or people being saved.
Because if there is a salvation, there is a savior.
If there is a savior, there is that person being saved.
And if we say salvation has characters, OK, there is a savior, OK, This savior will by necessity bring about the, the rise of the notion of one being saved.
OK.
Now the last thing you need to understand is that there is that which the savior saves the saved from.
I come again, if there is a savior, that means that there is one who needs saving.
Now that one who needs saving, needs saving from something.
So whatever the savior saves, the safe from is that thing that the Savior, or rather be saved has been saved from, has been delivered from.
So the three characteristics, the three characters that play when we talk about the concept of salvation is #1 the savior #2 the man being saved or the man being saved #3 that's which the Savior saves the safe from.
Glory to God.
Am I moving too fast?
Am I moving to class?
Can I get some show of hands or OK, glory to God.
Let's let's continue.
Let's continue.
Glory be to God.
All right, so salvation, remember 3 characteristics, the save, you are the save and that we the save your save, the save from glory be to God.
Salvation: A Divine, Eternal, and Unchangeable Gift
I'm going to answer those three questions tonight.
Now one thing I needed to know is that salvation, remember we are answering the question of of what is this salvation?
What is the knowledge that is handy in this salvation?
What do I need to know about that which I have received, right?
So is pivotal that you know that salvation is a work of God.
Look at Ephesians 2 harvest 8, Ephesians 2 harvest eight.
First of all, salvation is a work, right?
So let's interrogate whose work is salvation?
Is salvation is the work?
Is it the pastor's work?
Is it the believer's work?
Is it the prophet's work?
Is it the Bishop's work?
Is it the high priest's work?
Who?
Whose work is salvation?
Right.
Efficient to harvest eight.
Look at it.
Efficient to harvest 8 For by grace ye are saved through faith, OK, And that not of yourself.
It is a gift of God.
So salvation to man is a gift from God.
Salvation to humanity is a gift from God.
OK, look at let's go, let's continue, right?
Not of works, OK?
Not of works is not saying salvation is not works.
The Bible is saying not of works.
Whose works?
Man's work.
So the Bible doesn't salvation is not work.
The Bible says salvation is not the product of the works of man Why?
Because it is a gift to man.
You know the the notion of a gift instills something that you don't work for, you don't pay for you don't work for a gift.
The, the instance, the the gift becomes something you work for.
It automatically becomes a reward.
It's no longer a gift.
It's no longer a gift.
Let's continue right, so none of works lest any man should boast.
OK, so the any man means the not of works.
It's that is not of the works of any man.
So the end that no man should boast.
You can understand for we are his workmanship.
I beg you on the line that word workmanship.
What is salvation?
Salvation is God's work.
We are God's workmanship.
What is salvation?
Salvation is God's work.
We are his workmanship.
So salvation is actually a work, but it is the work of God.
It is His gift to man.
I think that again, salvation is actually a work.
So if so, the man that says salvation is not a work is not completely accurate because salvation is a work.
But The thing is that it is not man's work.
It is a gift to man.
It is the work of God.
Now if it is the work of God, there is an important caveat you need to know.
Look at Eccry Justice 3 and verse 14, Eccry Justice 3 and verse 14.
Eccry Church.
Eccry Eccry, Eccry Eccry the book after Proverbs the book after proverbs.
It's not me people use and laugh tonight Equi ewo, the book after Proverbs 3 and this and verse 14.
Let me try again.
Funny enough, funny enough, you know, the word ecclesia is the root word from which from which the book after Proverbs is gotten from, right?
Maybe one of these days we'll have this conversation, right?
But that's a that's a nugget.
That's a nugget for you maybe to go to.
Yeah. 305 three and the 14.
Sorry, 314 three.
And the fuck out says I know that whatsoever.
God do it now, I beg you, if you are not following along, which I believe that you have been following along, I need you to.
I need to be attentively attentive right now.
Look at what Solomon is saying.
Solomon is saying, I know that whatsoever God do it, it shall be forever.
If we have said salvation is God's work, what are we saying?
This God's work, it is forever, it's eternal, it is everlasting.
Look at you.
Nothing can be put to it.
Remember what he said.
It is not man's work, it is not a collabor, it is not God.
You say I will bring 50, you bring 50.
No, it is God's work.
That is, nothing can be put to it, nor can anything be taken from it.
And God doeth it that man should fear before him.
What is this salvation?
It is God's work.
What is this God's work?
It is one thing.
It is that thing that God does.
What does God do?
Whatever God does, how Solomon is saying, someone says, I know that is there is a certainty.
I know that whatsoever whatsoever God do it, it shall be forever, it shall be eternal, it shall be everlasting.
That you know, that is what Solomon is saying.
So when we have questions on the eternality of salvation, you know, can a man lose his salvation?
You know, what really is eternal salvation?
It should be, you know, these are the things that that first of all we should understand concerning salvation and, and its eternal standpoint.
If it's forever, look at what look at what solemnly is saying.
I know that whatsoever God do it, it shall be forever.
So the question now is that how long is forever?
Or rather, what is that forever?
Understanding and Possessing Your Everlasting Life Now
What do we mean when we say eternal?
What do we look at?
Look at John 316.
Come on, verse.
Come on verse.
Join me in John 316.
I know you know it, but still turn your Bible.
Yes, you, that Lady there.
I know you know it.
Still turn your Bible.
Yeah.
John 316.
Yeah.
Come on, verse.
Let's go, it says.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever, whosoever is, whosoever, right believer in him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
OK, what is everlasting life?
Everlasting life is a life devoid of perishing.
That if I were to find a man who has believed from the moment that man believes to whenever that man will be said to not no perishing.
That is everlasting life.
Look at John four and verse 13.
John four and verse 13.
John four and verse 13.
Now, if you have been, if you have been following us in Salvation series, you know this is a very popular scripture, right?
And I beg you, don't miss a cow session.
Don't miss it.
Like don't you don't want to miss it.
Me myself, I don't want to miss it.
Don't miss a cow session.
You know, John, John Foy is heavy.
Let me know, Let me know.
Let me wait for a cow session, wait for our conversation.
All right, John four, I am in verse 13.
Look what it says.
Jesus answered and said unto her, Whatsoever whosoever rather what is the same?
Whosoever, the same whosoever we saw in John 316, right?
Whosoever drinking of this water shall test of this water shall test again.
So there is a water that Jesus was talking about that if you think of it, you will test again.
God, whosoever drink of the water that I shall give him, I beg you, I beg you, let your mind leave H2O.
God is not giving people table water, pure water, spring water, fountain water, well water to drink.
You know God is not doing that.
God is not marketing water.
No, there is.
Oh my God, God is you.
Don't miss a concession.
Let me continue.
But the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
What did we see?
That everlasting life is, is the same thing we saw in John 316.
Eternal life is the same thing that we said forever.
That is that thing.
Look at what John 3 she said.
He will not perish.
So what?
So just saying that when this man partakes of this water that we give him, that man will not know perishing that man will not, you know.
So salvation by nature is something that is God's work.
In salvation we have received something that is eternal.
I beg you, follow along.
Eternal is not.
Let me explain to this eternal everlasting forever.
It is a consequence or something.
Look at John 360.
Let's go back to John 316.
Look at what he says.
He says for God so loved the world, He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, OK, when I believe in Him, what is the consequence of believing in Him?
I will not perish.
That is, I have eternal life.
So everlasting life, eternal life is a consequence of something.
What is that thing?
Believing everlasting life is a consequence.
What does that consequence give to you?
A life that knows not perishing.
So whenever we we view eternal life, eternal life should be seen.
You know, don't look at eternal everlasting forever through the lens of of your dictionary.
You know, dictionary say you know something that has no end.
OK, let me ask you a question.
If the Bible says we have eternal life, why do believers die?
I'm not trying to start controversy, but think about it.
If the Bible says as you are right now you have received eternal life, not you will receive eternal life, not when you now die, you will not get eternal life, you will not get our last life, no, but as you are right now, you have eternal life and to you, you defy eternal life as a life that knows no end.
Ally why you die?
What is that?
What is that?
So the Word of God should stand eternal.
That is all that you should stand strong.
You should not lean on.
You know, the word is sufficient to explain itself.
Look at something, look at something.
Let's go to John 5, John 5, and verse 24.
Let's answer.
What does it mean when we say salvation is eternal?
What does he mean when we say, what does our eternal mean?
Right.
John 5 and verse 24.
Look how he says, verily, verily, remember what I said that means certainly, certainly without an atom of that most assuredly, right as if Jesus is swearing, says verily, verily, I say unto you, and here I hear it my word, and believe it on them that set me hard.
Everlasting Life, OK, and shall not come into condemnation, but it's passed from death, untold life.
OK, what is the man who has received an everlasting life?
The man that has received the life devoid of condemnation, a life devoid of condemnation.
What does he now better explain?
He says that is a passing from death to life.
So what is everlasting life?
A life without perishing, a life devoid of, of, of condemnation?
What what Jesus would expect to be a passing of death to life?
So that would mean that the man before he received salvation was not alive.
Oh, I beg you catch this.
That would mean you were not living before.
It's not like I was living and I received salvation and I received life pro Max.
You know, I had life pro.
But when I now got saved, I now got life from.
He says we have passed from death to life, Not from life to life or not from life to full life or to life premium.
No, he says from death to life.
So salvation is not equipping men with a better living.
No, salvation is giving dead men life.
You know, we said that Jesus is not come to give houses and cars to men because mind you, before Jesus came, men had had men were wealthy.
You look at this in the course of the Salvation series, men were wealthy.
They were rich men before Jesus.
You know, the Bible speaking when he talks about wealth constantly using Solomon, right.
Solomon was was at at least thousands of years before Jesus came into the scene.
This man was so rich in his time, you know, he was using, you know, think about it, think about it.
Here you are using gold to build a house.
So, you know, in the community, we did a, we did a reading for amongst the volunteers, we did a reading of First Chronicles, right?
And we saw, you know, how Solomon beauties, how Solomon beauty's palace, See, see, see gold, see gold.
You know, as, as I read as Solomon and as wealthy as Solomon is, if we say Jesus came to give men wealth, that will be a conundrum.
That would be a conundrum.
That would be a conundrum.
But Jesus came to give dead men life.
Look at he says you have passed from death to life.
So what is eternal life?
Eternal life is that men have received a life devoid of condemnation, a life devoid of perishing.
Men have crossed over into life.
Glory be to God, glory be to God.
So Eternal is actually let's look at something, let's look at something.
I want to see something.
Jude 17.
Jude 17.
Jude 17.
Jude is before Revelation, just one chapter.
So if you rush through it, you would pass it.
Jude 17 Jude 7 Jude says look at it says even as Sodom and Gomorrah and the city about them in like manner giving themselves over to fornication and going after strange flesh are set forth for an example.
So Sodom and Gomorrah is not an end in and of itself.
It's a pointer to to something even much greater.
So we don't read Sodom and Gomorrah to teach you know, escaping the fire running like lots five lessons on on how not to look back.
No, Sodom and Gomorrah is for an example, right.
It is not an end.
The story is not an end in and of itself right.
You know what a beautiful thing to to live on this side of the cross where we have the comprehensive whole Bible right.
You know we are you know, sometimes you to thank God for the error and the time you were born in right.
We have the total.
We have the whole the whole concept, the whole Bible handy, handy, handy.
Still this same thing that men were killed for persecuted for men were were killed, burnt and then their ashes were scattered because of this Bible.
But what a joy to know that we have the comprehensive total council of God handy, so handy that you have it on your phone, you know, we have, you know, it's, it's a great joy.
It's a great joy, you know, so we can read Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis.
We can go to Jude and see that, okay, this story is not an end in and of itself.
Let's continue.
Let's continue.
Let me not spend too much time here, right?
For an example, suffering and ventures of eternal fire, of eternal fire.
Now, if we say eternal in the Bible means a lack of cessation, that means if I were to go to wherever Sodom and Gomorrah is currently right now, I will see fire still burning there.
But there is no place on earth.
I beg you that if you go to right now that you know the where Sodom and Gomorrah was, or rather Western and Gomorrah is right.
That place, you still fire inside.
You don't see fire burning.
No, let's go.
Let's look at second Peter 26.
Second, Peter 262, Peter 262, Peter 262, Peter 26 and turning the city of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned, condemned, condemned.
What does John 524 says?
He says that we have escaped.
We are no longer condemned.
When we believe we are no longer condemned.
OK, So I beg you, put that in the back of your mind, right?
Turning and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, you know ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example unto those that Asta should live ungodly.
So what is the purpose of the stereos?
Ramana Gumara, an example to men who choose to live ungodly.
So the eternal fire is actually a, a, a consequence of of that which they chose.
What is what was the end?
They were, they were born to ashes, condemned.
So now the Gomorrah were torn to ashes, condemned.
They were torn to ashes, condemned so that ETA fire is not at all.
Fire is burning, fire is burning.
No, no, no, no.
It is that ditch is in their rejection, what they they experience and them being turned to ashes.
That is condemnation, but that is not you.
Remember that eternal is not a, a lack of cessation, rather it is a product, a consequence of something.
So these people, they rejected, they were, they were, they were sentenced to eternal fire, eternal condemnation, right?
But you that have believed, what are you sentenced to?
A life devoid of eternal condemnation, a life devoid of eternal perishing, a life that is you have crossed over from death to life.
You have escaped the ashes, so why we say eternal is not oh I will live forever?
Not quite, because if I say that, that would mean that 1000 years from now I should still be alive, right?
But eternal is actually the consequence of that which a man has believed.
What is that consequence?
You have a life devoid of perishing, a life devoid of condemnation, that I can look at you and say from the second, the instant you believe till the end of time, not once will I find that you are being perished, Not what will I see that you are being condemned, not what will I see?
Death over you.
Why?
You have crossed over.
You have crossed over.
Look at, look at something.
This is not something that we are going to receive.
This is not that I will not die when I get to heaven.
God will not give me eternal life.
No, no, no, no, no.
Look at first John.
Look at says John 5 and verse nine.
Look at if we receive the witness of men, the weakness of God is greater.
For this is the witness of God, which he had testified of his Son.
He that believeth in His Son had the witness in himself.
He that believeth not God had made him a liar, because he believeth not.
The record of God.
What record that God gave to His Son?
Look at this level, I beg you.
And this is the record that God has given us, not that God will give us, not that God is going to give us.
God has given us eternal life and that and this is the life of His Son.
Look at still in first John 4.
Let's look at verses.
OK, sorry.
First John five.
OK, let's do first John 2.
Looking for a verse.
Thank you, Holy Spirit.
Let's do John 17 and this one 2-3.
Yeah, John 17123 look how it says John 17123 this word Jesus speaker lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, Father, thou has come glorified thy Son, and thy son also may glorify.
Look at this too, as thou has given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as God has given him that he should give it a life.
God is not going to give you.
You know this eternal life, you have it right now.
You are not waiting to receive it.
It is not you know, after you now run, you will not know.
It is what you have right now.
What is that?
A life devoid of perishing, a life devoid of condemnation, a life where which you have crossed over from there to life, from there to life, that is what you have received.
That is the meaning of eternal, a consequence of that which you have believed.
One thing you know right now, as you are, you have eternal life.
As you are in that room, you have eternal life.
A life that is the void of condemnation, of perishing.
That is the life you have.
That is the life you have.
Glory be to God.
And what is that?
That is the work of God.
Trusting the Builder: Salvation is God's Secure Work
Let's let's look at something else, right?
We looked at something in the course of the teaching series, right?
Salvation is God's building because of time.
No, time is still there.
Officials to harvest 19, right, officials to harvest 19.
I'm not going to rush this.
I'm not going to rush this.
Officials to harvest 19 officials to and verse 19 look at what it says it says now therefore ye are no more strangers OK and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the sense and of the household of God continue and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and profess Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone because it's one in whom all the building quickly framed together grow it onto an only temple in the Lord.
Look at this to in whom ye are builded together for the habitation of God through the Spirit who are you You are not just God's work.
You are God's building, you are God.
You know salvation is not just God's work, it is God's building.
What is the What is God's purpose of this building that he would invite us into?
In whom ye also are built together for the habitation of God.
What is the purpose of the building?
God building salvation that he dwells men.
Here is a man who has believed.
What is the consequence of that man believing?
That man is built up into God's habitation.
God now endures you by his Spirit.
You are God's home.
Yeah, you are the dwelling place of God.
That should mean something to you.
You know, we started our evolution by saying you are, you know, God is your ever present help.
Now it's going to be clear.
Why is how is God my representative?
Because he dwells in this vessel.
He is found in this vessel.
So as at no point I met without my helper because the helper dwells within me.
So before the circumstance arises, I have the solution handy.
Before the comfort arises, I have the comfort within me, domicile within me, dwelling within me, going within me, God within me, God with me, God before me, God beside me, God indwelling me.
That is the believer God's building.
What intention now beauty.
Look at Acts 15.
Look at you know there is a beautiful way James would render this Acts 15.
You know Acts would quote the prophet.
James rather would quote the prophet.
Look at what James would say.
Acts 15 great stuff, great stuff.
I hope we are following.
I hope we are following Acts 15 and verse 13.
Glory be to God, look at what he says and after they had held their peace, James answered saying men and brethren hacking not to me that is listen not to me.
Open your ears.
Look at this what Simeon had declared how God had first did VCD Gentiles.
OK, that Simeon is so we've read this narrative before, but James is speaking from the backdrop of what Peter had said, right?
Peter explaining in the House of Cornelius, right?
Look at senior had declared how God had first visited Gentiles to take out of them a people for his name.
And then we said this in in the course of the salvation series that salvation is God taking out a people from a people for to his name, right?
So what is salvation?
Salvation is God calling you to be so named by him.
So I can look at the call and say that oh, you are Arab by Yahweh because you are of the camp of the most high you are of the household of the most high.
You know you are be son named by Yahweh.
Let's continue look at the 15 and so this agreed the words of the prophet as it is written.
After this, I will return Who is speaking?
God is speaking to the prophet.
I will return.
Who is doing the returning?
God is doing the returning.
And we'll build again the Tabernacle of David.
I beg you, don't think of a physical building.
No, don't think.
Robert said salvation is God's building.
Who is God's building?
Men who are believed, men who have crossed over from death to life, men who have received eternal life.
That is me and you.
So I will return, I will build again the temple of that of David which is falling down, and I will build again.
The rule is thereof.
I will set it up.
Look at the 17 that the residue of men might seek after the Lord and all the Gentiles upon who may call upon the Lord, say the Lord, who does all these things, who does the building, who indeed it is during the building.
Verse 17 we say God will do all these things.
Solomon, we say, don't we know?
I know certainly that, that which God does, it is forever.
So God's building, what is the, you know, you know, what is the, the, the reality of this building, this building God builds and it stays forever.
You know, when we think about, oh, can a man lose their salvation?
You know, think about it like this.
Remember we said salvation is God's building.
If you see a building you know one of the most, one of the most architectural wonders of this world, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, right?
One of the most asked question is that will it fall?
You don't go and ask the building if it will follow.
You won't ask the building building this one.
I really like this.
Will you fall?
Where will you fall?
What day will you fall?
Do you feel like falling today?
No, you won't.
Rather you will go and seek an architect, one or rather one that sculpted that building, that person who don't say this building is going away, this building can't stand throughout the ages.
So you don't interrogate the building.
Oh my God, this will bless you.
You interrogate the builder.
So in salvation, if we say salvation is God's building, salvation is God's work.
We don't interrogate the work, we interrogate the one that works on.
We don't interrogate the building, we interrogate the builder.
So in salvation, we're looking at us and say, ah, I seen yesterday, you know, when we come into the question of can I lose my salvation is because you are looking at salvation through the point of view of the saved and all said 3 characters Savior saved and that would be saved from, right?
So if you have established who the Savior is and we have established who the saved is, for you to rightly interrogate salvation, you don't look at salvation through the lens of the one being saved.
No, you look at salvation through the lens of the one saving.
If Solomon, we say this one, if he does something, bank on it, it is forever.
That means if salvation is God's work, it's God's building.
Go to bed, Go.
What?
I mean I say go to bed, go to rest.
Now this is not to say be complacent.
Do any act any no, no, no, no believer should be of good moral conduct and Paul is going to speak to got to instruct Timothy saying be an example to fellow Saints fellow believers in Word and in in conduct right That is that the believer must be was never be found not be an example in the way he acts right.
So I'm not speaking down on moral conduct.
I'm not saying believers you like, no, no, no, no, I am saying understanding that this salvation you have received, it is not it's a free gift of God, right?
It is God's work.
It now takes off the pressure for you to try on you trying to, to, to, to, to to preserve yourself.
No, the one that has called you, not only is he able to preserve you, he's faithful and he has equipped you to walk faithful.
Glory be to God.
Delivered from Darkness: Your New Life, Dead to Sin
That's why Romans would say, Romans would say he says that reckoning, let's do that, let's do that, let's do that.
Romans 6, Romans 6, Romans 6, Romans 6.
Like I said, I'm not going to rush tonight.
Romans 6 And I don't want to jump into the middle of the thoughts, so OK, let's look at this. 5 For we have been planted together in the likeness of His death.
We shall also, we also, we shall be also in the likeness of the resurrection of His. 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified, What, what, what, what, what, what?
What?
What is the state of your old man, of your sinful nature, of your nature giving to profanities?
He said that that old man has been crucified with him.
OK, Oh Oh my God, this is going to bless you, that the body of sin might be destroyed.
That is in the destruction of Jesus body was the destruction of the old man.
That is the destruction of sin.
Sin met his match, Sin met his end at Calvary.
Continue right that effort.
We should not serve sin, for he that is dead is freed from sin.
OK, look at this it now.
If we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him, knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, died no more death, had no more dominion over him.
Oh my God, Oh my God, this is going to bless you.
For in that he died, He died unto sin once, but in that he lived, He lived unto God.
Look at this 11 likewise.
So the same manner, the same manner reckon that is think now associate yourself also dead indeed unto sin.
So, so, oh, oh, I'm a man giving to this.
I'm a lady giving to this.
What is Bible's remedy?
Don't you know that in Christ dying that what he has defeated sin, your old man died with him.
So I'm not looking at for trying to fight my audience.
I am seeing myself as one whose audience has already been conquered.
Those desires has already been taken care of.
God has you know, in the destruction of Christ's mortal body was the destruction of those orgies, those sin, those inclination, those inclin Glory be the God, glory be the God, glory be the God.
Salvation is God's building.
Lastly, as we draw to a close tonight.
Hebrews 2.
Hebrews 2.
Hebrews 2.
Still what a journey as we contemplate this salvation.
Hebrews 2, verse one.
Therefore we ought to give a more energy to these things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them sleep.
Look at this 2 For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a recompense of reward, how shall we escape?
How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?
What is salvation?
Lastly, salvation is an escape.
Now look at how shall we escape if we neglect?
Now there is a way the writer of Hebrew quantifies salvation.
He says so great a salvation.
Your salvation is not just I'm saying now I have salvation clock it no salvation so great.
There is a way to your salvation.
It is so great.
What is that so great salvation and escape.
Remember I bring you back to where we started from.
There are three characters in salvation.
Remember there is a Savior, there is a saved and then that which the same way is saved from in salvation we have we have an escape through the Savior from that we seek to paralyze us from that we seek to hold us that what is that thing?
That thing is seen that look at Romans 320, Romans 3, Romans 3, Romans 3, and I'm in verse 20.
Look at it.
Look how it says.
Therefore, by the deeds of the law there shall be no flesh, there shall there shall no flesh be justified in his sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Okay, time, time, time.
But what call it says let let me take it.
Therefore let me take it slowly.
Therefore, by the deeds of the Lord, that is, by your working your mouth, said solution is not an is not a product of your workings.
So he says.
Therefore by the deeds of the law shall no flesh be justified in God's sight.
That is, you cannot work your way into God.
Acquitting salvation unto you Is not Kai.
See the way bra dominion is always doing.
No, no, no, that's not how the salvation is bequeathed onto a man.
No, it is a gift of God, Right?
So we've understood that, right?
Look at this.
Which one?
But now the rightness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the propagation to even the rightness of God, which is by faith.
Glory be to God, which is by faith of Jesus Christ upon all, and upon and unto all, and upon all them that believe, for there is no difference, OK?
For all has sinned, and for sure of the glory of God.
Look at this thing for being justified freely by His grace through redemption, that is in Christ Jesus.
So salvation is an escape, you know, look at our redemption in our last account session, the word exaggerazo right time.
I won't be able to go through it, but that is we've been brought back.
We've been reclaimed back into into God's so that reclaiming back.
What does that mean that we have escaped That is where in a previous location.
What did God do?
God brought us in close God.
Look at Colossians 1 and verse 12 even as we come to a close tonight, Colossians one and verse 12 look at giving thanks unto the Father which has made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of this Saints in light.
Remember, I beg you, let your mind go back to salvation, right?
The believers inheritance you have received something in salvation.
So from this we see that Paul is writing to the church at policy concerning their common faith salvation, right?
Because talking about inheritance, that which they have received, right?
Look at this setting.
Who had delivered us from the power of darkness and has translated us into the Kingdom of his dear Son.
What is that God has delivered?
What is that?
We have escaped.
So salvation is not just, oh, one of those things, no, in salvation you have escaped.
Look how he said, who has delivered?
Who is the believer?
A man delivered.
You know, look at what he's saying.
Who has delivered?
You know, the Bible is not saying who will deliver, Who is undergoing deliverance?
No, you have been delivered.
Oh, the man in Christ is not with many other deliverance that oh you know, think about it, you are God's building where God it dwells.
How can God and foul spirit be sharing you think no, think how is that How how is that even done?
How is that done?
How is that done?
You know God the only people say I will have him for the weekends.
All right, we have it for during the weekdays.
You can have it for the weekend.
No, you are so the only deliverance.
The believer needs the salvation after salvation.
We get you knowledgeable on that which you have.
You are not, you know, the believer does not need to undergo deliverance.
The believer does not or you will not ask.
Ah, but I know, you know, there's a difference between exorcism and deliverance.
Time, time, time.
But let me talk about this.
There's a difference between exorcism and deliverance.
Exorcism is when a spirit is expelled from a body, Jesus.
We say that if that spirit goes and comes back and finds that there is no occupant, he will go get his friends and then they will come.
That is, He will not just come alone, He will come with an entourage.
That is exorcism.
That is why you are seeing.
That's why most of the time when people get exercise, you know they come back again.
It's not like God will deliver finish.
That is because that believer has not been delivered.
He has been exercised, but he has not been delivered.
What is deliverance?
Deliverance is salvation.
Look at Colossians 113 who had delivered us from the power of darkness.
Delivered is delivered.
He is not.
Who is delivering us?
Who will deliver us?
Who is in the process of delivering us?
No.
Who has delivered us the money Christ has been delivered.
What does that man need?
Knowledge.
Knowledge that work.
Knowledge that he is God's work.
Knowledge that work that he is God's building.
Knowledge that work he has escaped.
What a great salvation we have received.
Glory be to God.
Let's, let's, let's give God thanks.
Father, we say thank you, we give you praise and we give you glory for this that we have received, for such great salvation.
There is none like you, Father, You are an awesome, mighty king.
We give you praise and we give you glory.
Our heart is rooted in this truth.
We go out in the mind, and in the mind of that which we have received, conscious, rooted, built up, we give you praise and glory.
For in Jesus name we have prayed.
Amen.
And he may come and give.
Podcast Summary
Key Points:
Salvation is not merely a received gift but requires understanding and knowledge to be fully lived out, as ignorance leads to spiritual destruction.
The core of salvation is God’s work—a divine, eternal, and unchangeable act of grace, not the result of human effort or merit.
Eternal life is not a future state of endless existence, but a present reality of being free from condemnation and death, having passed from death to life through faith in Christ.
Summary:
” Eternal life is not a future promise but a present condition of being freed from condemnation and death, as described in John 3:16 and John 5:24.
