Salvation

The transcript offers a critical, often humorous, reflection on cultural, religious, and social issues through a series of personal anecdotes and current events. It critiques the harmful stereotypes in films like *Ace Ventura* and *Dr. Evil*, highlighting how early 2000s media perpetuated transphobic and racist narratives. The host challenges the misuse of religion in public defense, especially in the case of Wendy and Eddie Osafo, who use scripture to justify their actions without admitting wrongdoing. A central focus is on Marvin Williams, who is criticized for exploiting church fundraising by demanding $2,000 donations and belittling donors, contradicting Christian teachings of humility and equity. The host also dismisses Rockman Dunbar’s legal case against Disney, noting the hypocrisy of claiming religious exemption while taking other medications, and emphasizes that public health—especially during a pandemic—should not be sacrificed for personal beliefs. The discussion extends to Brandy’s mid-performance exit, which the host interprets as a legitimate health emergency, calling for empathy and accountability from both performers and fans. Throughout, the host critiques systemic inequalities, including racial economic disparities, the commodification of faith, and the performative nature of celebrity culture. The overarching message is one of moral responsibility: people in positions of influence—especially within religious or community spaces—must act with integrity, transparency, and compassion, rather than using religious language as a shield for unethical behavior. The tone is confrontational yet grounded in real-world consequences, urging awareness of power dynamics and the ethical standards that should guide public conduct.

[Music] I think it's so easy to fall in love. So come give me a call and we'll fall in love. On the perfect mix of saturday night and the rest of your life. Any one with a heart would agree. It's so easy to fall in love. You better stay. Welcome back to the read. I'm Olivia Dean and I am shagel just Alexander and this is the read. Thanks for coming back. It is in fact still black. Still black. Correct. Winding down in october girlies planet earth 666 still stands. And so we perpetuate this black fuckery and the name of the father the son and the holiest ghost. We're going to start with black accents and I'm going to do a fun one because I'm feeling spooky. I'm feeling spooky season and I'm seeing one Chloe Bailey posting her Halloween costume. Chloe Bailey does the Halloween thingy. This is probably one of many Halloween costumes for Chloe Bailey because she posted it yesterday on the 21st of october baby you at 10 mode days. So otherwise you're not done. Yeah there's a she's she's been to have a different costume probably for the next 10 days. Yeah she's getting into her big bag. She posted I'm Foxy Cleopatra and I'm a whole lot of woman and the assignment was nailed. Yeah. The sign was nailed. It was terrible film. However we honored the legacy of the black icon. That's right. That's right. I'm like any of the Austin Power movies. I'm sorry. I even as a kid I never got to like Mr. Evil. Everyone was so big on Mr. Evil quote. Yeah the Dr. Evil. Yeah. Yeah. Dr. Evil and like I remember watching them and me like this is it for me. This isn't like I get why you think this is funny. Yeah I love them but I tried to go back and watch them as like an adult who's been to therapy and I was like oh this is deeply problematic. My God. Yeah. The whole Dr. Evil and many me think alone. That's all bad. Yeah. Yeah. It's pretty bad. The fat Irish dude that always knows anything. Oh yes. Yeah in my belly. Oh God. Yeah it's very you had to be there in the 90s early 2000s. You had to be there. If you were on the week of release. It does not age well. It really doesn't. It's kind of flirting with that ace Ventura territory. Yeah. He just could go back there. He don't go back there. I don't want to. The whole thing about Ace Ventura is transphobia like the whole movie hinges on it. This is pretty bad. But even the second one when nature calls. Oh Africa. Wait is that the one where he okay. He's searching for like a white bed. I didn't see that one. I didn't see when nature calls. He know he's afraid of bats. Oh girl. Please go watch it. Oh no. Please go watch it. The way you just said it. He goes to Africa to find a white bed. I know. You're like an albino bat that was maybe like poached or something. I don't remember the full thing because I obviously have not watched this film in a very long time. Yeah. But he is like among an African tribe. Oh no. Okay. We can actually stop right there. Don't you watch this movie? You have to watch it. Just so that you can understand the decisions that these people made. And they made this movie and they released this movie and people watched it and liked it. And there's another one of those things where like at the time. Yeah, hilarious. I'm sure when I was a kid and my uncles introduced me to this movie, I thought it was hilarious. Yeah. But I didn't make it that deep into my team. Yeah. But I watched it again. I was like, oh, this is right. I can't believe it makes this. Okay. Yeah. I think I'm going to skip that. Actually, I do not think I'm going to please dodge like clips of it. Please watch like a YouTube compilation of the most. Okay. I'll just get like a fool because the way that the first ace Ventura is problematic in like the transgender. Yeah. Spear. Yeah. Story world. Right. The sequel is kind of like that for black people. Okay. Oh, indigenous people. Oh, no. Oh, God. Okay. Anyone that's not white. Well, all right. I don't know how they made them. Okay. I also speaking of movies. I need to apologize to Susan Sarandon last week. I said that I thought maybe she was a Zionist now. I was like, isn't this really kind of problematic? Oh, yeah. You did say something. And I was corrected. I was thinking of Debra Messing. Y'all know I'm Barbara Howard on the inside. And I do mix. You know what? Frequently. Right. Right. I think that so honestly, it's actually y'all fought for making more than one red headed person famous. But I think Susan Sarandon is quite a bit older. Well, that's one of my business. Yeah. That was not to me. She's not. So my bad Susan girl. I was thinking of another white beach. I think you don't know what to do. Literally. Like literally. Didn't want you to step on. Yeah. I mean, and that was a willing grade. And that's the thing. Julia Roberts is also a redhead or was. She's a red-ish, not as red as the mother team. Yeah. So I think that's why she's except plus Julia Roberts. I'm like an actual fan of. Yeah. Susan Sarandon and Debra Messing. It's just like if you in something that I've seen this, you know, no shade. Oh, what is this shade? And I don't care. Susan Sarandon is that girl. That's acting. I was told. I was like, oh, my bad. My bad. The legend. Susan Sarandon is her. So clip this. Debra Messing is a. Because I'll never apologize. She's not a wife. I'm in a game. But. Debra Messing is more like sitcom. Yeah. I don't know her from anything other than willing grace. I don't know that she's done anything other than. Right. Exactly. So my bad girl. I got you mixed up. Susan Sarandon celebrated it. And then I looked it up and. So I was a little like, damn, not Susan. But I've seen Debra Messing always poke her head out to be like, actually, she was crying. I saw a video of her in Israel crying. Like, I feel like I'm coming back to my homeland and all this. And it was like, oh, girl, clean it up. Don't about to give a fuck, a free Palestine, free Gaza. That bullshit ass ceasefire that Trump was so proud of and all that. I didn't. Baby, it lasted 48 hours if that. I'm so tired. Like, it's like, why do we keep doing it? Let me alone, bro. Huh. Why do we keep doing this? Ben, she don't even wait 48 hours. He really don't. Why? It's like, I did not take that seriously because I was like, okay, we'll see how long it was. Yeah. And it was not the first time that a president has said, oh, a ceasefire, an agreement has been reached between Israel and Gaza, blah, blah. And y'all, it never actually sticks. Y'all go right back to bombing and people and blowing them up. So it's like, actually going to need y'all to like, really leave them people alone, really let them get back to their homes, really allow them to rebuild, allow them to live like that. Ben, I should have talking to them. They're simply not going to stop. They have no plans of no intention. No, they're trying to turn it into a resort. They trying to build a Disneyland on that fucking land. So my best was the Sarandon was the point of this. Right, right. Because nothing will prosper. The Lake Lanier of the beach. I'm not sure me going to the tower of terror. But you know what? None of my business. I'm just here doing the best that I can. And I am zooming out. Right. You bitches are all you got. Imagine me going to Israel for any reason, any reason. Did you see a Zillia bank's stupid ass? Oh, God. In Israel. I'm giving, I'm giving a lot of the people up to God because I'm just here. I'm a spack. Okay. Yeah. So one of billions. But so she, after she's gone back and forth on Palestinians versus right. So that she's another one who I think mental health issues are normally in the driver's seat over there and her, her right mind is somewhere in the truck. If it's even in the vehicle. But so she, at first she was like, oh yeah, I love it. Israel. I, you know, the fuck Palestine. I don't give a fuck. Israel's the best. And then she was like, damn, I've been in Israel for 72 hours. And these people racist as fuck like damn. I don't know what I was thinking. Right. But then she flipped on it again and was back to God. I don't even know. She's kind of done that about a few different subjects. She's weird. She's weird. So I never really sure where she's standing on that thing. And I also don't care because you don't, you don't like, you don't have a ticket to work. Right. You can, you can just say, do. Yeah. I'm not getting booked. Money is drawing up. Times are hard. Israel is one of the few places willing to pay me. And that's why I went over there. Like that at least makes sense. This whole well-powered semi is the serve to live oh no they don't oh actually yes they do oh well no I changed my mind again. It's just draining and exhausting like bitch be for real This is it to me. This is not a complicated topic at all. I don't even know what y'all mean when y'all say it shouldn't be it Like what where's the confusion? Where's the okay? All right, so yeah that I said of course We're talking about sometimes we're talking about you know like the Kevin gates niggas of the world and seven and it's like Well, I I had no That you can't spell most words with for right so fine, but a Zulia Banks reads the books So it's like what's going on. Why are you? What is like oh 2024 to nation five? I'm in Israel and they hate my black skin. Oh Well You were who did you think you were with like bitch? Look at Blackness is like a global issue is something I would Would have assumed you Had some sort of awareness. I mean just any just a one drop of common fucking sense could have gone a long way here But again, she's another one who I don't think I'm yet praying When you have that much money. How do you know about Rockman Dunbar? He's he's on my list of people to discuss. Oh, yeah, we're talking about it. We're talking about We're getting into we're getting into it. I said We're getting into it. Let's just get into the hot tops of sweet babes Chloe Bailey you did this you started this because I thought how we got from your sexy hips and Lips and tips and gold right in your afro to Israel Here we are now in the pop set pop culture segment of the the program that we call hot tops and since we talked about Chloe let's talk about Hallie Last week we spoke about her baby father putting out a song called 17 more years where he whined cried and opined About being her baby daddy and wanting her to pick up the phone. Oh, when they were singing like market okay. Yes. Yes, it was like I do and they were like cute Yeah, cuz he actually had a note and she was like okay. Yes, I do remember that and he looked like he was just like really Loved on this girl. I was like, I don't know who this nigga is where you come from. Oh, he wraps. Okay fine. Where's that lady's flash drive? Run her her shit. Yeah, you gonna jail you gonna jail 1000% without question yeah, well all right The Brandi and Monica show has been on For like a week and there's already drama. I I don't I don't know how this happens. I wish I could make this up. I wish that some of this shit was just sitcom father Mm-hmm, you know for like some Truman show like reality where I have no idea that everything Okay, I had a sidebar to talk about a new Apple TV show that's coming out A new way. I thought I watched a show. Yeah, this is a show called pleuribus. Oh Like it looks like a you know, yeah for Apple TV and the only reason I clicked on it was because I was like Okay, this name yeah an Apple TV. Yeah, it's probably gonna be good because Apple TV almost never miss it Right. I watched a trailer and I was like oh, this is a show. This is like a psychological Thriller about me except oh in in this show The me is a white lady, but like this is very I - I can't wait for that. - It seems like it's gonna be a good creator breaking bad to what probably is. - Back to Brandy and Monica. Well, just Brandy. - Interesting. - She walked off to watch the trailer. Looks like it's gonna be. - Well, I know Plerbis means many. - Exactly. - But I'm not saying, okay. - All right. - You don't really see like us some now. - No, I'm saying a premise here, and now I see why you think that it's about you. (laughing) - Everybody's chilling. - And that's that on that one. - But that's that on that. - You, okay. Okay. - And the trailer just makes it even more easy. It's like this doesn't it be? - Yeah, I'm this. - I'm not talking about yourself like this. - Brandy walked off the stage in Chicago. In the middle of, oh, what's up with this? What a, it was a fuck. I can't remember and I don't wanna play the clip right now, but she was literally made song, made performance and walked off the back of the stage in the middle of the song cut her mic off and did not come back on the stage for the rest of the Chicago show. So Chicago people, like there's a tweet from someone here. Chris, see, oh, see Sanchez. (laughing) Imagine going to the boy his mind tour and they never played the song. - Oh, no, it was before they did the boy's mind. - Yeah, it was like early in the car. - Oh, yeah. - So they got mostly like Monica and a half 'cause Brandy walked off. - Oh, why did I think it was? - I just assumed it was towards the end. Yikes. Oh, that sucks. - Brandy walked off stage, mid-set, car, her mic, mid-sentence, and never came back. Girls were pissed. - Yeah, I can see why. I went to the Chicago, the boy's mind tour stop. Says Rose and Thunder. Brandy walked off stage and said something like, "Give me a sec y'all, we never saw her again." Monica came out, monologue, set, sung, and left. Nobody know nothing, screen went off, lights came on, and they told us to get it. - Oh, no. Wait, so they refunded the tickets or they was just like, that's too bad. - I don't think they refunded anything. - Okay, well now, come on, girls, we can't do this. - Let me see what Brandy said. Brandy posted a cute little iOS press release. It's not the notes that, it's like a graphic designer went in here and gave her a drop, you know, a little Apple pencil signature. - Oh, man. (laughs) - Somebody put in some work. - Press, yes, press. (laughs) - I said, we're not just gonna spray shots. This was drama. I think this was like a real, I think that's something happened. I don't think this was drama, but I don't know. - Okay. - Okay, it's as to my dear fans in Chicago, thank you all for the overwhelming love support and most importantly, your prayers. I sincerely apologize for the abrupt and to last night's performance in Chicago. After weeks of nonstop rehearsals, last night I experienced dehydration. - Okay, she was sick. - And feelings of wanting to faint. Everyone involved agreed that prioritizing my well-being was of the most utmost importance. I still made the decision to try and return and give it my all despite not feeling okay. With having to make some adjustments in the show being very technical, unfortunately, was impossible fully connected sonically with the production. I really appreciate everyone's best efforts. That's nothing. When bitches are calling you like the vocal bible. - Yeah. - And bush queens of generations have been acting like nobody seems to be trying to talk about it. - And they will fight about it. - Yeah, yeah. - Like of course, you're going to be like big tour, big moment against my former rival, sort of still kind of rival. - Whatever that will. - Or with, yeah. - I could imagine a light coming on. And just being like, you know what? - Yeah. - That's a day that I can't do this. (laughs) - In the middle of the show, though. - Ooh. - When your body is done, your body is done. - That's true. - That's true. - And I can, if I feel like I'm going to pass out, it is possibly passing out on stage. - Yeah. - And scaring the fuck out of thousands of people. - Right. - Or getting off the stage and going and trying to get myself together. If they tell me off stage, don't go get your back at your ass back up on the stage. - Yeah. - It's probably best if I listen to that. - Yeah. - Assuming this is all true. - I mean, yes. And I would assume, because Brandy has been a professional for like 30 years, that it would have to be something, dire like that for her to walk out in the middle of a production. Like that's just not something you do. I'm thinking about even us, like for me to cancel a show while it is in progress, it's because I can no longer sit upright. - I can't. - I literally physically cannot do the show. Right. - Agreed. - Oh man, but I know y'all were disappointed. Poor Chicago. That sucks. Ooh. - But to me, it's, and I can only speak for my throat, but like if I were a ticket buyer and this was a situation and this happened, it would suck, but I would be okay. Because I wouldn't want the bitch to fall out on stage because I want to hear baby. - That's right. Well, I wouldn't cuss her out. - I wouldn't cuss her out behind it. But I'm not going to be okay either. I'm going to be quite, I'm going to be upset. I'm going to be disappointed and sad, maybe even mad. But I mean, especially, so that's where I think the, some of the, not discrepancy, but some of the internet chatter about it has been like people didn't know what was going on. So it wasn't clear if it was like, is she sick? Is she just, does she just have an attitude? - That's quick. - That's right. - Exactly. - So I would think that if they had to end the show early, somebody, not Brandy or Monica, but a tour manager or somebody would come out and say, unfortunately, we're having a health emergency the show has to end. We appreciate you all so much. We're very sorry, but the show cannot continue. Like, I would just expect y'all to say something like that to the crowd so they don't automatically assume the worst. Or don't assume. - I think that that would be helpful. - Yeah. Yeah. That's what I would have thought. - So what decision? - But the decision making process is like for them. - Yeah, it sounds like that would have helped. - Right. But if Brandy posted this like the next day, I mean, I just, if they not giving out refunds, I get it. 'Cause that's a lot of money. - I do think that they should do something. - Something. - To your point. - Come back to Chicago. - I would feel less sour towards anyone in particular when I got the information here. - Yeah. - But yet in the same girl. - I think it's nice for across. - Money, yes. - Getting out of your good, bad, and leaving the comfort of wherever the fuck to go around to people where bitches still getting COVID like y'all forgot. It's just like, oh, and then I don't get to hear. - Right. (laughs) - Did you learn something? - A lot of y'all are getting hair and makeup done. A lot of y'all are following a lot of things. - Yeah. - That's what they want you to do. 'Cause they want people to wear suits, which I'm not wearing no suit to the show, but what? - You didn't hear that? Where Monica was like, everybody wear suits to the- - No, thanks. - I'm not wearing no suit to that show. But, you know, people invest in shows like this, and so I really do feel, I do. I feel for y'all, and I think if y'all can't give money back, which I get, 'cause this is a lot of fucking money, I think y'all should at least reschedule it, and then refund tickets for people who can't make a few dates. It's not nobody's fault, but why should the fans be the one to bear the brunt of it really? Especially if Brandy was well enough to then go back out on stage a couple of nights later, which it sounds like she was, it's like, okay. So, go on and tack an extra date at what was supposed to be the end of this tour and come on back to Chicago, please. Like, something. - Yeah, I don't know how that works, but I would be dying to make it up. - Yeah. - To the- - Oh God, I would be feeling so terrible, Mike. I'm sure it's like, every time this happens to a performer, where they literally have to stop a show because of health, I was like, I know they must feel like shit, because outside of you, basically, being in an emergency. - Yeah. - I have decent performer who is gonna go fuck. - Yeah. - Those people must be disappointed. - Right. - And that sucks. - Yeah, I would beat myself up like, well, why the fuck was I even dehydrated and that's my fault for breathing too much air or something? Like, I would be whooping my own ass for this. - Who brought this nature's bounty? I told you don't eat this guy. And why the fuck wasn't I drinking Gatorade all fucking day? Like, I would just be so mad at me. But yeah, I feel for her, but I feel for the fans. I do, that sucks, baby. - Speaking of things that suck, Dr. Wendy Osafo and her husband Adi Osafo made their return to social media with. - That doesn't have to happen. - It doesn't. - It doesn't, and it shouldn't. - No. - I don't think it should. - For what? What did they? - Okay. - Here go Wendy, looking like she's trying to go to breakfast at Tiffany's, which is the last thing that you should be trying to be giving. And she posted in the caption of her Instagram, and through it all, God remains faithful. Thank you for the, thank you for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers for myself, and most importantly, my family during this time for me. We are forever grateful to Nizbrado TV tonight for a new episode. though to rural house while I was a Patel McIntyre. I am Eddie O posted a more appropriate photo on his Instagram and it's himself and his wife and his beautiful children. And on the caption of his Instagram post it says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight, proverbs, three, five and six." To that I say, Wendy and Eddie, a false witness will not go unpunished and he who speaks lies shall perish. Proverbs 99. Oh wow, not you digging in the book. Because what are you talking about? Shut up. Why is God in this? What does he have to do with this? I, these, they have such a beautiful children. They're gorgeous. It's such a shame. Oh my God. Those poor kids. I hate it. I hate it. Wendy posted two pictures of herself because Eddie posted the family I agree. I'm like on vacation or something. That's quite interesting. I think so. And Wendy's comments are full of people who are like, "Oh my God. Team Wendy, period pool." Yes. Whereas Eddie's comments are, "Where's the explanation, girly pop?" I just, Niggas love pulling God out when some shit like this happens. It's like, "Are you innocent? That's my question." Like, did y'all actually do this? Because if you guilty, talking about trust in the Lord with all your heart, I know the Lord is looking at you like, "Had you actually trusted in me and leaned not on your own understanding?" Y'all would have never came up with this cockamame-ass idea in the first place. I've given you both more than enough. The blessings overflow with in that home. Well, please don't act like I do not have a spirit of greed. I did not give y'all a spirit of taking more than what you already fucking have. Well. So I really hope y'all are innocent post-it shit like this and bringing God into it because otherwise this looks, well, listen, anything is possible. I don't work for the fans. I don't know what they have. I don't know what the fans have on you. It's supposed to be a photo like she's all Greta Gerwig's Barbie talking about God remaining faithful and God. What? Oh my God. It is a sound. It's absolutely barbie goes to the derby ass out there. Yes. Yeah. And throw it on a broomstick. It's still late. I mean, sure, does remain faithful, but did you do this? I'm not interested in anything other than did you do this? There's that. And I don't know. Maybe your attorneys are telling you not to claim innocence, but it's just strange to me that you don't say we didn't do this. Neither one of you say the charges against us are false. This will all be cleared up in court. Please allow us to have our day in court. Like there's nothing like that. It's just let's throw in some Bible verses and, you know, a picture of the kids. Right. It's a little weird to me, but all right. It is also weird to me. I think it is also weird that past a Marvin whinins and many. Oh, yes. Of his homies, uh, church, go was about it. Let's talk about it. We're putting on the big cape, the MCU, the DCU, the boys, they're putting on all the like, the girlies have come to fight the big fight. What? The whole justice league. The justice congregation. So Marvin whinins went viral this past week after clip came out of him basically humiliating the fuck out of, yeah. A member of his church because they were doing some day of giving shit for church building fund sanctuary, rebuild in whatever bullshit. And he formatted this in a way where it's like, we're asking for you to come with a thousand plus a thousand. So like, you have a thousand. You also bring someone who has a thousand with you. And if you don't, then you stand in this line and we're going to stand in order of people who have the most money, then also he does indeed equal mc square. So you have to think of that when you line up as well. Anyway, this one lady came up there with twelve hundred dollars. And he basically rebuked her light skin as and told her to take her as up line because that's not what he asked for. He asked for two thousand dollars. They have been on this man's ass rightfully. So I bring him correct, correct. Say because we're the everlasting fuck did you get in our earth? Since then the woman question who he embarrassed has defended 10 saying she was in the wrong line. So in this seat of a thousand dollars plus $235 and receiving the blessings to come to all that participating. Now that's only twelve hundred dollars. Yes. Y'all not listening to what I'm saying. If you have a thousand plus a thousand. Okay. I'm going to work on the other. That ain't what I ask you to do. Baby, you are a victim. Marvin Linen's mentee Fred Hammond, a gospel singer from Detroit, says, you know, this is my charge. And he posted like a extended cut of the footage, which Fred did nothing. It did nothing. I don't know why people kept saying that. Oh, you just need context. Nothing. It changed. So correct. For this, you know, there's been a lot of hustling around trying to maintain the narrative that there isn't anything. There isn't like a blood sucking leaf. Right. Right. To these exactly of going on. And my two highlights for this experience of ban. Are you forgetting how much money a thousand dollars is? Are you hoping that this has come up? Have forgotten how much money a thousand dollars is one thousand dollars as a nigga in this economy on this nation. For the building fund, mine, for the building fund of this sheet, like shut up. The children for two decades. You want a side of a truck? Are you want money? The money going more than we have been as a community. We have been meaming the fuck out of the black church building funds since before I was. Yes. Yes. So the fact that you feel like you can step your black ball to ask in front of any congregation and ask for a thousand dollars plus a thousand dollars to me. Right. And this economy is so past both. I don't even know. I don't have, I don't think there's a word for it. It's just so brazen. It's so like venomous. And then for you to be like 1200 isn't 2000. Fuck you. And the land you call home. She was like, I'm working on the other 800. And he was like, that everything I asked you. Nega. So give me my, I don't see you giving me my fucking check back. I don't see that. Are we get? Oh, no, baby. My other part of it was a little more petty. And it's just like you already asking me for a ridiculous amount of money to go buy a fiber truck or go, you know, get some cigars imported or whatever the fuck. Right. But you also want me to do a arithmetic on the day of like, I'm not going to do say how much money you want. Just say 2000. Just say 2000. A thousand plus is giving 1999. Just say $20. What the fuck are you talking about? But then standing in this line in the order of who has the longest hair and who would also watch my feet with theirs. It's like you shut the fuck up. Right. Anybody else shut up defending this shut the fuck up. You're not talking about here. Come give this $2,000 for this organization that you have receipts and history and memory of going back into the community. This organization that put them shoes on your baby's feet. That's the next to you. Even then asking for $2,000 would be nuts. Everybody is broken. Bitches can't afford bread. But they can't afford eggs. So that would still be bold. A sanctuary building fund for a building that's when you guys got them all the little like just standing up just fine to me. Are you trying to cut me out, bitch? And get on Instagram and Facebook live and defend yourself. How about you hold? Because what do Marvin's house look like? Yeah. Thank you. I want to know what. What does Marvin's home look like the outside end ends. side. Who furnished that house? What sort of vehicles do you have? Is this Christ like behavior? Marvin, why not? Do you think Jesus would tell the congregation to, first of all, separate themselves by who was giving the most? It's actually when you think about what it took for the average person who lives in Detroit to come up with $1,200 to throw away insane, insane. Insane for you to then turn around and talk to this woman with such disgust. You sneered at her. You talked down to her for being in the wrong line. Really? That's how you talk to people who are coming up with money to give to you for you to go ahead and mismanage out of you want to because they give it to God and selling back into God. Yes. Insane. Including bitches who did not get up, would not get up, could not get left. I could not believe what I was looking at. I said, this is supposed to be a man of God. I can't believe me doing this to us right now. It would be easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to see the kingdom of heaven. And this is exactly why the more money you have, the more societal power you have, the less you feel like you have to give a fuck about other people. And that's bad enough when it comes to regular, regular everyday people. But those of you who are purporting to be messengers of Christ, where it's literally your job to behave in a Christ like men are like that. You are, you're the head of this church. This is how you talk to people giving you money. You didn't say wrong line here, take your check back, go in the broke bitch line. And well, it's like not even that. You, that ain't what I asked you to do. All right. Well, you know what? Nothing I'm thinking about it. God asked me to put this $1,235 towards my child. Yeah. Who is growing two inches every six months. And do we just constantly need new clothes? Food costs Trump said the food costs was going to go down. Them shits have tripled. All of a sudden, we released in the tariffs on shit that can't be grown in America because duh. Hello, surprise. And we all have to get me a kid not a fort. Like a kid running healthy human services. Y'all trying to double the government shut down right now because Republicans want to double the cost of healthcare. Like, bitch, you know what? Actually, my God just told me, take your check back. Put a stop payment on that check. Do whatever you have to do and keep your fucking money, girl. Because this is insane. Do you know how much $1200 is in 2025? I feel like you don't. This is where I'm, this is where I'm so lost. This is where I'm so lost. That woman donated her money to this building. And this is how you talk to her. And you know, in reality, she donated money to the spinners that you want to put on your rolls. You know where that money's really going because why is that charge still not done under 20 damn years? But you have a home. Marvin wine is better be living in that church for it to still not be done. And bitch still asking people for $1,000 is insane. Are you asking them for you ask your bitch come up with $1,000 and they got from who knows where because everybody broke plus bringing other bitch for $1,000 to you. Would you also like a unicorn? Would you like a Phoenix? Would you like a polyjuice potion as well, bitch? What are you talking about from where? For what? Y'all robbing the community blind and they get on the internet with the attitude because bitches are calling you out. Like we ain't been calling out this behavior for decades. What happened to a willing mind? For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has and not according to what he does not have. I just don't. This is not what there's nothing about this is godly. It's just this is the exact opposite of how Jesus would behave. Jesus would turn your temple right over. Jesus would be flipping every table both at pew you got up in that bitch. I just could not believe. And then as well it was add y'all taking it out of context because she was in the wrong line. You think it's okay to talk to people who are giving you $1,200 because they stood in the wrong line. Y'all really think that's acceptable and okay. That you are under spell. But have parachuted into the building and actually busted it up. But she could have come creating through. And literally been like here's a $1,200 check and you still should have been like thank you so much. I don't know why you barbed the evil can evil stunts with you. But with this $1,200 we can fix that window plus like bitch. You in there. That's not what I asked you. Tell Marvin to give up 80% of his salary till the building fund is done. But if he asks y'all for one more damn dime insane. If he would have been like if he would have been like if he would have said bring up $20 plus 20. And that's the same person or any other person who's been like here go $30 and he would say they don't even want to ask you. I'll still be annoyed. Yeah. Because bitch that's what they have. And you're not doing shit with this money. You're not doing what you got on a new suit every month. Pastor got new gators. Pastor got a new dish. A new that pastor. Pastor not worrying about what Thanksgiving is going to look like. He's not worried about snapping with getting cut off next fucking month. You got regular everyday people in this church and this is how you talk to them. All right. I said, you know, when people have their critiques of the church, I just sit back and let them talk because this is the type of shit y'all do acting like you you a servant of God. Talking to people this way. I just I mean when I was just gop smacked, I could not believe it when I saw it. I said there's no way. There's no way. Close the doors. If that had been me, supreme level of audacity. It would have been viral for a totally different reason if it was my $1,000 to present me business would have been done. I would have had to go for me for my bail because I'm beating your ass. What the fuck are you talking to when I'm giving my hard earned money to this charge for you to mismanage? Like in what reality in what world? $1,200? You need a $23 million charge for what? For what? You need a $23 million building for what and answer it quickly. Girl, shut the fuck up. Oh, we oh, we. Rockman Dunbar lost his lawsuit against Disney, ABC, the folks. What and shitty. I'm just this was delicious because on the one hand, I was relatively entertained when I read this and just thought, well, what the fuck did he think was going to happen exactly? Oh, you're the hand. I feel again for his kids because I don't think that he's well. So if you don't know, Rockman Dunbar, a pretty famous black actor was fired from a show called 9-1-1 after COVID vaccine mandate took place on the set of TV show. He refused to be vaccinated for COVID. So Disney, 20, 20 of television, they fired his nerves. He sued them and cited religious police and conviction as the reasoning for his decision to not be vaccinated and decided to go full tilt and a black ass lawsuit against Disney over something. So obviously wrong. Baby, this was so stupid. This was so dumb. Anyway, all eight members of the jury, unanimously said, "Blead Disney alone." And I don't know what the fuck you thought. I'm reading on a variety that Mr. Dunbar had a bit of an outburst where he put his head of his hands, started screaming, "Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god." And then turned to his wife and children who were sitting behind him in the gallery and said, "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, we will be okay." He's barely said that he lost everything as a result of this lawsuit. And I guess he's a bit fried with the thought of what to do following this. I do want to say that, you know, like, okay, so you sued Disney in a 20th century, 2022 and said that do the tenants of the congregation of universal wisdom where he was not going to be right there, partaking in any of the vaccinations. Now, if you're not familiar with the congregation of universal wisdom, they're like a religious group that's mostly famous for a ticket out of taking medicine. Bitch. In fact, I think if you Google congregation of universal wisdom, the second or third link is a New York Times article from 2003 titled Worship Optional, Joining a Church to Avoid Vaccines, like, so this is a group that for a long time, people have sort of leaned on as a way to say, well, it's against our religious beliefs to take medicine or any other medical intervention, they believe in just dying, yeah, just dying. So he went with that, saying man created the COVID vaccine to separate you from God. I knew you were going to lie. I should have waited for you to die. Not to keep you alive. I'm the one who remember millions of people dying or that wasn't that long ago, bro. He said during the four day trial in the line, this is a war of evil against good. I stood on the side of good, you see, this is why I'm saying like, he turned to his family and he's not well. You're right. He fell this cry of regret as well as like responsibility and this is who they're going home with. I stood on the side of good. When this cockamami asked religious group, told me don't bother taking that medicine, that vaccine against this virus that's literally dropping bitches like flies, like the girls are dying at shocking rate, the whole planet, man, the world shut down. I won't forget that no time soon. It was only four or five years ago, like we just got the vaccine in early 2021. I still have people worried that COVID, right? You can get boosters for COVID now because it's just like it's like the flu, you're just going to have to come and get it, but I will never forget the refrigerated trucks in New York City to handle all the dead bodies. We created the vaccine to separate you from God is the dumbest shit that could have came out, Joe Malfe. I remember hearing cheering horns like clockwork when the hospital when first responders would come in, anybody wearing scrubs, they were cheering because that people were the pit. The pit. Oh, yeah, you probably can handle it. It's pretty. It's an emergency. You would know. I don't like blood, but it is so intense and probably right on the money with how overworked undervalued. Yeah. Those people are. And it isn't set during the pandemic, so I'm just like that. How the fuck these people were literally humans, packing bodies, grandparents, parents, and thousand children into bags, not having space for them for their bodies. And you were working and you were not only working, you were working a job where you were making $100,000 an episode, including episodes that your character was not in. So that means there were two week production dates, or two week production segments in episode that you're not even involved in, and you're still getting paid six figures for it. And you know, people are literally falling out left, right, and center. And these people were like, here, take this medicine because we're like, you have to, if you're coming to work, yes. And breathing around people, we cannot have you unvaccinated. You cannot make others sick. Baby, you're on camera, you're okay, even if you weren't, even if you weren't, because everyone has to, you're talking about like 300 some odd people in a production set at a time. Yeah. The crew also had to be vaccinated. Exactly. They were also wearing masks. You don't have to take that off. You have to take that off. Right. Oh my God. Oh my God. What are you? What are you missing and you really thought that you were going to run Disney now over this coin with your black ass? When the Disney lawyer said, you're not going to be able to claim religious exemption because you take 37 medications. You take test. Maria Rodriguez said that negative takes synthetic testosterone and now it's resolved and 37 different medications and elicited it right in front of them and said that the leader of the congregation of universal wisdom would call this sacrilegious to which he acknowledged that he is not perfect. So she said, this is way far from perfect. This isn't even close. So you'll take medication and medical interventions to keep your dick up or whatever else testosterone was doing for you, but not to keep you from developing, not to keep you from catching this virus that could cause severe, severe health problems for you and the people around you up to and including death like we have seen with millions of people across the globe. But you can, but you can take testosterone to what it can't have something to do with your hair line. So what is what I mean, you're not taking it to keep your hair line, your ball, but so was this, people take, people take hormones like that for all kinds of reasons that I don't know. Like an astrosol is another thing that I don't know what your medical situations are. But to this lawyers boy, baby, if you have a list of 40 different medicines that you always are taking and they're like, take the, the life-saving global emergency one, right. You can't claim religious exemption for not taking it because you take other medications. So what is this outburst? And why are you screaming? So your lawyers are the only ones who won here, because they got paid, well, you wasn't going in, but I'm sure his lawyer said, no, not got straight. Say what matters is whether he is true to himself and true to his belief. It doesn't have to be right. There are plenty of beliefs that are right, wrong, kooky, who cares. What matters is whether you believe in him when I said, yeah, I took that man's money. I knew this was dumb, but I said, man, both feet up drinking readers didn't get too much. What matters is whether you believe them, it's not up to your employer to question your belief. I'm going to have to disagree with your Scott. I'm going to have to disagree with you. It is up to your employer to question your belief when you cite religious exemptions for a mandate, but you violate those same, that same religious belief for other medications that I guess you want to take. Then you also, the world has taken something and that's just what it is. So for $100,000 per episode, including episodes where I didn't even have to come on, come on. I will personally go to Jesus and get an exemption. I would have to go, I would have to say, you know what God spoke directly to my heart and said, if you give up this $500,000, you're making $500,000 a month, $400,000, whatever, millions of dollars you're making on this show, God told me to keep my money. I just, I understand the church is going to be mad. You can add it to them, other medications I take, but God said, do not give up no $100,000 a week job. When you don't even, even when you don't have to go talking about, oh, it was a dream job. It was like winning the lottery. Yes. And you spit at it. You shit. I can go like, whoosh, the people he reports back to because you had to, I think his, his lawyer even said this, like for him to look at this payday in the face and decide to make the decision he did, like speaks to his religious conviction or whatever the fuck it is. Then why so? But it was exactly. It's like, if you have the right to say, no, I will not be taking this COVID because I don't have to take that to make any medication. I think Disney also has the right to be like, okay, well you can't work here, lies on the line. Yes. They do. They do. And hey, people in a jury agree. I mean, and I would have been right there with them. it would have took everything and me not to be like you one dumb motherfucker period if I was his wife I would have walked out the courtroom. I was going to exactly say that. Where is the divorce wing it? I need to find the divorce paper work. Where is it at because my next statement was gonna say Annelise Keating the way I would have got up and he loved that out person to walk down And you burned through your retirement And still left court talking about God still one today. Yeah, I wouldn't have been in the court God one you just didn't know been there Because what do you mean you quit Or you got fired like what do you mean? Yeah 100 okay, you take some kind of testosterone we both like There's a real problem with people not seeming to understand how good they have it Yeah, baby, and then bringing up God and guys like bitch. I don't even play your play pay your plan in my life Like when I'm really aggravated. I look at what y'all talking about. I really like stop talk stop talking about me Stop bringing me a I didn't say nothing about no 1000 plus 1000. I didn't tell you dumb bitches not to take no medicine I didn't do that. In fact, I created doctors and scientists and epidemiologists and all other kind of Verologists and all that shit so that y'all would live longer lives right? I didn't I was tired of Of 60% of children dying before the age of two So I said let there be science and let there be people who discover things via the scientific process and and let's allow These people to gain this knowledge and do the things like do you think why would God want Why would God want I'm just really I'm trying so hard to To your earlier god who wants you to be dead why would God want you dead if Disney was like We need you to take this vaccine for that hair We're tired of you being bald bitch We see this character with a hairline So take the drugs bitch and it's like A global the whole world the whole world yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah sick dying dude And you're like yeah 100,000 dollars in an episode with an angel of acid TV show. I don't care And I'm gonna see you if you find me What did you think I would Now he's like get this take my car is my money. I'm here you have Delive here with your soul intact. This is my spiritual test and I passed All right, I mean it sounds delusional to me, but okay All right, my god personally would have said you a dumb bitch if you don't get that vaccine But you know, I guess we all got a different god. I just don't know why God's test would be Risking your life the life of everyone around you at work the life of everyone around you at home And right also this really cool blessing of a John Fuck it. I was playing why we're done Why do I talk people will never make a hundred thousand dollars a year in their lifetime most people will never sniff Six figures a year and you were bringing it in every week I want to really ride home That spit your entire retirement before peel even for an actor And a black one at that This is a lottery like this is on earth of all those Yes, getting paid six figures when you don't even working bitch Huge money and your last name ain't Elba Smith Like the Verne googler yeah, right literally literally It's a very small top tier number of black professionals who can make that kind of money The fact that you were included in that number somebody who I have never known by name only by face damn You were so fortunate and you just said fuck it okay, but you still feel like it was worth it okay good for you I personally would be throwing up, but I mean he also said he spent his whole and he spent his entire retirement This is taking my life into a whole financially that I will never be able to get out there But it was worth it because you're all tired. You die When you die, God will say what you get to go to heaven now because you never have the COVID vaccine Even though God has mad at you for all these other medications If you're gonna go to hell anyway for taking other medications, why wouldn't you just get the COVID Vex This is this is why religious exemption didn't work right it and and Your attorney really just wanted to take your money because fully Somebody who gave a damn about you would have said okay, so the fact that you take other medications They're going to be able they're going to be able to bring your medical records into this because you cited religious exemption So um, I'm not even going to take the case because it's a waste of of your money And if I were you I would go ask them people if you can go get the shot right now and come back on say did your attorney speak to you? The reading of this a variety like who took this case and why did they like like somebody who was just like oh good fuck I'm gonna pay regardless. I'll take Rockman Dunbar's retirement. That ain't no problem. You don't you've been fighting Disney for three years That's expensive they money is unending yours ain't Disney said I we we truly do believe you hold these beliefs We believe that you believe the dumb shit you saying the problem is You won't be suing us behind that I got you to do with us Okay, I got you to do it. You could have just quit you could have just quit and left it at that You decided to spend your money suing these people for no good reason that was a dumb decision on top of a dumb decision Oh my god, and now your children will suffer for it basically it's great that you feel like you passed the test But that on me we had to give you no prize I'll work his dried up. Yeah, you probably still got to be vaccinated to be on a lot of sense and you're not that great of an actor Damn You'd locked into it. Well, I don't know how somebody listen to this right now like Sure, but not that great not so great that you can be passing up a hundred thousand fucking dollars a week you know how It's people Listen to this show right now going if God chose one thousand in such a way But I could give a thousand dollars to a preacher Please much less We're talking about damn their five million dollars Well, I mean if you were working year-round which you aren't but You know you take this amount of money you have eight episodes in a season that is even that Now let's say you didn't quit or get fired and you're on this show for three seasons first of all If you do a good job, but whatever on the season the first season does well what she did the now one is to a successful show you could likely and And create you know get paid more for the next season more So I three point two million This I truly feel I do I have a I really feel for your kids because I'm sure their lives have been turned up side down from this Absolutely in name decision only only your god knows. I think Tyler would probably give him a job Well, he go have to know no hundred thousand dollars for you don't pay like that Listen, you need money the kids need Food and clothes and shoes Well, you know jobs are always available. You don't have to act. Yeah, it's also as well It's pretty hard actually to find a job these days. You know many people have been laid off this year long Exactly companies aren't hiring their Times art. Did you know times were hard? Did you know that I just I'm the girl. He's our work. Yeah, okay. Anyway, I'm gonna fuck about you This is so I don't get this when I read that you would take 37 meds including synthetic testosterone. Yes, I was like rough. Yeah, what happens Tyler Perry's blaming um This white man. Well, he's saying that the white man is made that Netflix didn't want to buy his his pilot There you go He's saying he never assaulted him He said the uh the uh the assaults alleged assaults and encounters never happened in a filing Well, yeah, you would miss it rough. Oh, yeah Miss apparently never assaulted Dixon or committed to any sexual battery did not offer Dixon pay raises and shoot uh Dixon's television pilot script to threaten course or control Dixon And it's notable that in his effort to exploit his friendship and professional relationship with Mr. Perry the 10 to 16 million dollar payday Dixon was forced to lie. Don't leave about mr. Perry but himself too Dixon's greed and avarice not mr. Perry's alleged and non-existent harassment or abuse is what the suit is about there is saying I love the word avarice Yeah, okay Well, you know what this is what I expected windy and eddie to post on instagram Something that says we absolutely did not do this even if it sounds like an attorney wrote it Something saying I'm innocent and blah blah blah blah blah. Now do I actually believe this? No I think it sounds exactly like Tyler Perry to sexually harass a man over and over just through repeatedly nonstop until that person finally was like, okay, I, this is insane. Like I have to take this far there, but this is exactly what I would expect Tyler Perry's legal team to do. I believe that he, this white man, Derek Dickson was for lack of better terms, getting into bed with you for professional advancement and, you know, whatever. I think many people work with you because you offer opportunities that are pretty expensive to you. And so, yeah, to Chris was point, this doesn't really do anything for me. I would expect that you're going to deny that you sexually assaulted this person, duh. And I guess, you know, we'll see what comes from it from there, but I did also not find it that surprising that I guess his legal team is going with the idea that this white man is pissed off and Netflix didn't want to buy his show. Which could be true, but also like, I mean, the section, yeah, right. And kind of seems like I mean, especially with the text messages, it's like, why is there even any smoke to this? You know, why is there the screenshots of anything are so they, they don't know how to be getting like, I don't even be like, yeah, big daddy chocolate daddy, you know, it's not even giving like the rules of someone who's really trying to, it was very much like, Oh, I don't like it, but yeah, like, oh, nice jet ski. I love the ocean. Time to talk about what about the stud in the picture. Oh, oh, I was trying to really, the way not been like, I don't see how you're so all that grows. I just see Medea and I know that you see like, you can't stand that to some degree, but you keep playing her. Right. You keep playing her. And that's your bed. That's your bed. Yeah. Because then same charge people lining up to give Marvin one is $1,200 line up to sell out whatever Tyler Perry puts at the day it comes out for a core fact. This is a living. In the same people. Big diagram is a circle. If they come out here and tell us to come watch it. No. I, I think people, people just want to hear us be exasperated. Thank you. Thank you. I've accepted the art of it. That actually makes it. How did she get on the boat? She didn't. She never makes it. Superpowers. Like, I didn't know that I was watching a supernatural film. No, you didn't. You didn't know. Right. You didn't know. But. You don't know either. But yeah. You don't have to. Because you don't have to. They like coming. They like coming. They like hearing us come out here and run out of breath. Yeah. Yeah. About why these films are so bad. Um, so that actually. She funny enough is a little less frustrating. For me, once I accept it, because I'm like, you got to have fun. Yeah. And honestly, as long as I go into it knowing that it's going to be bad and poorly written and not make sense. It's almost kind of fun for me. I can never get to the point of finishing them. I couldn't finish the one with Kelly Rowling. I couldn't finish the one where they was fighting in the parking lot of a bar or something. I don't even. Was it Megan Good? And she was marrying this man who was me. I don't remember what that one was called. There was a night after after the Kelly Rowling. Yeah. That was after the Kelly Rowling. Yeah. I couldn't finish that one either. But you know, oh, I remember somebody said, please just watch the first 10 minutes because that was the one where it was a funeral. And the body road. Oh, the body. I did see that. I did see that. I did see that. And it's wretched and horrible as that was. (laughing) I will give you this grain as well, tax on to what I previously said. - I guess we're like, just watch the first five minutes. - Like, we get it. - Just like I would personally catch up you $20. If you watch the first thing. - You don't even have to wait a full 90, just five. - 'Cause we know I can't get through a whole thing. We know, we know, I can't get through the whole thing. But I will watch it. - This thing ain't, it's with all the other things you can do. Trying to keep these dogs alive and make sure they don't kill anything or break. - Literally, literally. including themselves. - Right. - So, yeah, Tyler, uh, okay. - Yeah. - He's, okay. - Let's put your lawyers, we're supposed to say. - Yes. - Unlike Eddie and Wendy. (laughing) - You just take that off. - Posting about God on Instagram and let the lawyers hit up people in TNZ or whoever. - Yeah. - They're my men, it's just man. They use not Wednesday atoms, and he is not a love island. (laughing) - Whatever. Tyler on Instagram quoting the Bible and all the Tyler said actually I have I have attorneys for this exact reason, I don't even like I just said it it just came out and I it just like and God I I actually heard God saying don't say that that's nasty - Love's got. - You don't love God. - What's happening to you? (laughing) - Can't sell this dumb pockets. - This sucks, I can't get out. (laughing) - What the fuck do we even be talking about? - I don't know, terrible people. - The thing is, - Oh boy. - Oh boy. - He's gonna keep his eyes. - Um, keep his eyes on the prize, which is cranking out terrible movies. - Yeah. - Six to nine times a year. (laughing) - You're currently working on that. Why did I get married in a sequel with Tora? - Oh yeah, he got a Ruth and Boaz. (laughing) - Oh my God. - It's out now on Netflix. - It's already out? - It is. - Yeah, there's-- - You are fucking lying for fifth on prime video. No, I'm dead. Not only is it already out, it was out three weeks ago and went straight to number one. Of course it did. - No, you should come out at different movies. - I'm not Ruth and Boaz by Tyler Perry. three, I'm looking at his Instagram. - I'm talking about the why you don't be supposed to be. - Oh no, no, no, that's not gonna be it. - Fuck out of me. I'm like, I can believe this, but God damn, I could have swore to rise. He say they started production like three days ago. - Well, it does say it's coming soon to Netflix. So I wouldn't be surprised if it's there about it. - Well, they probably already have a page or something. You know how Netflix will be like, when you're at the end, they'll have like a little slideshow coming in. - Oh yeah. - It's probably already got that. but I think they started filming within the past week and they're probably wrapping right now. - That's so. - Yeah, yeah, they probably are. Yeah, Tyler not posting no Bible quotes. (laughs) Tyler, Tyler's told them why the turnies to get on it and that's that on that. - Absolutely, Tyler, you don't love God. - What a mess. - Yeah, I don't know who else is in it besides Taraji. I know he's probably going to be in a plane history because everybody budgeted it. Okay. Tasha Smith is fantastic and amazing and everything. What a delight. If nothing else. Never get tired of her. We'll get more Tasha Smith. So there you've got that. And you guys let me know how it is. Okay. That's going to be it for the hot tops this week. A holy, sanctified, and saved hot tops, yeah, take a break. Okay, welcome back to the read. It's time for the Little Letters. I just thought I had requests for Davis with terrorists concert. Oh, yeah, approved, approved. I prove delicious. All right, yes, time for the listener letters. If you have a question for us, send it to [email protected]. We may read it aloud on the show. Our first letter this week comes from McKinsey, who says, "My boyfriend and I have been together for almost five years. I'm 29 and he's 32." As I'm getting older, I'm realizing things I didn't care about before are starting to be more important to me. I'm Christian and he supports that, but he doesn't believe in God. I love romantic things and would love for him to be more spontaneous and emotionally intelligent and he's working on it, but I just think it's not naturally who he is. We broke up for a week back in year three because I was getting tired of the lack of emotion, not being understood and not having our own place and our pace felt very stagnant. He was comfortable with where he was living, paying dirt, cheap rent, but we eventually got our own place together and it's been five months that we've been living together. I can tell he's happier now, but I'm confused. I feel like he lacks the romance. He pays the rent and I pay the smaller bills, but now we barely go out to dinner, things seem so routine. up with things that don't cost a lot of money for us to do. It scares me for our future when we end up having kids and things get more expensive because I don't want to end up feeling like a roommate instead of a wife. Well, we did couples therapy in year three and the therapist basically said, I'm looking for a fairy tale man who writes me poems and sings me songs, which is far from true. I just feel like I'm asking for less quote unquote gelatinous. Before I didn't know what it was, but I think that's how I can describe it best. I don't even think he's so much as flirty with me when when we first met. He kind of just knew that I wanted him. He doesn't say sweet things. He thinks words of affirmation is as simple as saying, I love you. When he tried to ask what I want from him, it's so hard for me to explain it, but I just know it's not this. I feel so bad that I got this man to move out of his place when now I'm feeling doubtful about whether we're compatible at all, and I don't know if I want to leave or stay. I feel stupid, like I'm 29 and still confused and I feel like I've wasted his time. When things didn't feel right, I should have followed that, but at the same time, I do love this man and I've learned a lot from him. He's very structured, very financially responsible and very logical. I'm not sure if I should leave or stick it out. We're in a year long lease, so obviously I have to stay until then. He has the couples therapist also mentioned that he may be on the spectrum and he said that he's thought that about himself before, but hasn't looked into being evaluated or diagnosed. So I'm not sure if that's why I feel like he doesn't tap into that emotional side or sometimes can't tell when I'm upset. When we broke up for a week in year three, that was my first time seeing him cry his eyes out over me. So I don't know. Any thoughts? Thanks, Mackenzie. Thank you, Mackenzie. Damn. Okay, so I blurted out at the inherently time. That was always what I meant. That it was a waste of time for you to be worried about him possibly being on the spectrum, possibly having issues emotionally in this distance or monotony, sort of boring. Yeah, he's not spontaneous. He doesn't do little romantic things. He's just kind of, he seems to be a very practical man in always, including in his romantic endeavors. Sounds like that. It also sounds like you're very aware of what it is that you're looking for and very insistent on getting it right now and possibly stressing yourself out a little bit about, yeah, like this timeline of things because like I can understand if you're like at 29 like, all right, I'm 30 and bitch, my 20s are over and it's big girl time. But you have a lot of life left to learn about it and grow and progress. And so does he. So I think you can kind of exhale a bit and look at the cars on the table and try to figure out how to play this, right? So yeah, outside of that, I mean, I think it's probably tricky to, it's tricky for me to nail down specifically what I would say to you next because you have been in couples therapy. The things you've mentioned in the couples therapists to the side have been interesting. Right. I would love to hear the therapist out of that. I feel like the therapist would be like, I did not say that. But maybe, maybe Charlie's a lot of therapists out there who are just doing whatever. So it's possible. Yeah, it's very possible. But yeah, I think that like I said, okay, I guess I'll do this like if I were in your position, I think that I would be requiring for him to meet me at least halfway with the intention of doing something about this, right? Like if, if the therapist is saying, Hey, thinking that you might be on the spectrum or whatever and he is saying, I've thought that as well, just not done anything about it. I would say, why, why not? Why don't we try and look into that because outside of autism or whatever. I'm connecting the, oh, well, you know, I've thought about this thing that could be pretty important, pretty vital, could maybe lead to quite a few aha moments or something, but I just haven't done anything about it. It connects to me to like a lot of the other things that you're doing of being like, well, we don't have the money to do like really romantic things. Okay, well, you could think of us doing things that aren't expensive or don't cost money for us to do. It's just like, maybe there's something there and just getting active that he's missing or not finding connectivity to, but he has to be passionate about doing something about that. And although I think you have plenty of time at 29 that you don't have to be pulling your hair out, you can also, I think I would also go, okay, how much do I believe that you will do anything about? Yes. You're not going to show me that you can make some steps forward or do something that shows progress. Right. Why should I cling to the theory? Right. Yes. Good change. Right. Agree. It just doesn't. Yeah. And things don't have to be the worst. This mother talker doesn't have to be a DDG. I'm not going to. I'm not going to. I get you feeling bad that you know, he had moved the other guy to place together. And now you're like, I don't think this is going to work. But if it don't work, it just don't work. Yeah. What's the alternative? You sometimes you have to do stuff to know that it's not going to work. Like you, you don't, like I can't see myself ever marrying somebody that I've never lived with because if we can't cohabitate this ain't going to work. Or we have to be like Cheryl Lee Ralph and we just live in different houses. If I still won't you that bad, I mean, I don't see me going that far. But you know, this. So if does he understand how much it means to you to have these romantic gestures and to feel this way? Like I maybe he doesn't quite get it, which I mean, it sounds like you've tried to explain it multiple times. So I'm not sure why he wouldn't. But I don't think it takes much to get like a tablecloth and a couple of long candles off of Amazon. And you know, whatever we was going to have for dinner, you know, you just jazzed up a little bit. Then the lights light a couple candles. Like it can be little things like that. I don't think it has to be, you know, I'm sweeping you away for the we're going to go spend two weeks in the South of France. I don't think it has to be all that. But a lot of people like that. Like corny shit. Like this. Yeah, spot that was put into this and you did like a cute thing or you saw that I really love beauty and black. Yeah, you said the living room. Yeah, you got me a part of the show. Yeah, you know, I love that. I love Perry. So you got me a Medea Bible hit. It could be. Yeah. Are you dressed up? Yes. Are you dressed up like Medea and came to my job and did a singing telegram? And that would be incredible. Yeah. And they got hit by a car. Anyway, Google it. So I actually think this is an issue. It may not be your biggest issue. But you know, it's it's quite normal to want to feel desired. Like you said, he doesn't flirt with you. I know. You know, it's it's normal to want to feel like you're pardoned. Like y'all not just. Oh, well, our relationship makes sense on paper. You're a great person and I'm a great person and we do this, this, this, this, this is like, okay, but we have to feel something too. The chemistry, the connection, the spark. That has to be there for most people and maybe not for him. But it's fine. If you need that out of somebody, I think though, you know, he may learn how to be more to put more thought into romantic gestures like that. But you want him to be spontaneous and randomly do little things like that. He may never develop that ability. Yeah. So you might be asking something that he's not capable of giving. But also your Christian and he supports it but he doesn't believe in God. That can really be an issue to me. That's the number one thing. That's the number one bolder in y'all's way. Because if y'all have children, you're almost certainly going to want those kids to be Christian as well. And he may be like, well, look, you can have your beliefs but let the kids choose what they want or whatever or or you might be the kids might go to church with you and then come home like, well, is daddy going to help? Because he not saved like you might, it's all kind of questions. You don't know how to answer or that could just really be an issue if y'all do decide to have kids or get married. So I would maybe focus on that one first and foremost, like you need to decide what you're okay with and what he's okay with. Like, y'all should have this conversation well before you decide to have kids, but I agree. You know, baby. That's one of those things that's kind of like financial position or are setting where at first, it could be like, oh, yeah, no, this is fine. We get along so great. I'm like, yeah, it's not a big deal. But you invest a life in a family, invest in a life in a family with someone else, that same person. Yeah. It is very common for it to lead to separation. Yeah. So you're right. I completely forgot. I was at the damn beginning of the letter. I would look into that as well, because she also was saying how she felt. She's thinking about the future. Yeah. The possible kids and that stuff. So this much does not be your man, girl. That's what I'm thinking. It's okay. It is because it's okay to want that feeling of like, oh, my man, my man, my man, it's okay to want that feeling. Yes, it's nothing wrong with that. And it's nothing wrong with him. I'm just listening to it. Because she's in love. You know, I just need Megan. Please, you look so good. Please be mindful. You just talk about the way you make it. No. Oh, God, no. Oh, but you know, I haven't untrained wig. I've learned. Nothing wrong with it. We look fine. Oh, no. I also, I saw like mostly clips from the game. So it was like her from a foreign stuff. I was like, oh, this is clearly not like a $5,000 win or some shit like she usually probably has installed a little like a cute little. Out with my nigga wig. They're on their brush. I didn't think like the endless mean. Yeah. They brought out Beyonce's baby bangs. Yeah. Kellyn said, look, I took one day off to go do Missy Elliott's hair for the Victoria's Secret show. Please, please, I'm back now. I'm back, fuck. Did you see the video of him doing her hair? It's like, don't get to comment in now. And they fell out like whoever the, whoever the backup wig nigga was or maybe Megan had to put it on herself. I don't know, but you can. I thought she probably did it herself. I thought you can't go nowhere else. I thought a video was like, okay, yeah, this is not giving like, I know I saw it, but I ignored it. I was like, no, this one's fine. I said, no, no, no, but I learned that I haven't. I'm trying to immediately decided to. I know I immediately said I simply won't accept this. Wish queens and chat. Who else are we going to like, what's the problem? Because you know, straight man will likely be like, that was a week. Yeah, what do they know about it? What do they know about it? Black people have high standards. Black people are black women especially, child. Don't let us see your wig and it be wig. I thought I was getting better at spotting the bad one. And though, anyways, this is not about it's all in the hairline. If you, if you're doing all kinds of Twitter. I learned that. They're a lot in part. I learned that this week. They're hairline in that part. But I also think we too strict about like, it's a wig girl. Why so weird? I can't it look a little wiggy, but I get it. Anyway, it's okay to want that feeling, baby. And yeah, this man just might not be the one. And that's fine too. Because that's what I was going to say. It's not the wrong with him being not like that, you know, automatically. It's some woman out there who don't give a shit about none of that. And they are perfectly aligned. But he might be for her. Wait, right. Or maybe like if he said he's working on it and you're seeing a change in him, the longer y'all live together, that's a good sign. But you know, I don't think it makes him a bad person if he doesn't. I think it just makes y'all incompatible. He's maybe not your person. Right. So good luck, baby girl. Let us know how it goes. And if I may share your point of there's nothing wrong with wanting to feel there. Your nigga wants to feel that. Remind them of that. Your nigga wants you to be affectionate. Your nigga wants you to be all up underneath him and love on up on him and validate how sexy fine and how much you love him. If you will call hard to bitch, you didn't give a fuck about that nigga or ever look twice at him. He would like it would be an issue. So that's a very bad. There's nothing wrong with the wanting affection from your partner. Regardless. Okay. Um, good luck, baby. Our next letter comes from happy with my daddy. And happy with my daddy says, dear, if you're in crystal, love y'all down. I should have known I was gay when I started listening to y'all every week when I was 18. But because I like both boys and girls, I just shoved the girls down. That didn't work out because shoving it down did not make these girl crushes go away, which brings me to my issue. I came out to my friends when I was 20 and I'm now 25. And in true lesbian fashion, I have really connected with this girl after two weeks. She makes my heart smile. My man, my man, my baby, my baby. My dad and my baby. Okay. And I want to show her to everyone I know, including my family, who I am not out to. I could really see a future with her because she checks all of my boxes. She has a growing career, I bet she do check. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. She has a growing career, a degree. She makes me laugh and smile from ear to ear and her kisses feel like butter. Last. This is how your girlfriend wants to feel. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Lesbians. They continue to niggas every day. Oh, man. Oh, okay. Let me not. I'm scared to tell my family because I think they would try to make me overanalyze why I'm gay or say things like they don't want their kids to have a relationship with me. My baby cousins and my family overall truly mean the world to me. And I think if they didn't accept me or started treating me differently, it would really hurt. But we are a very religious family. So I know at least some of this is going to happen. I want to share this part of myself, but I'm scared of what it may bring any tips on how to come out to my family. I was thinking to just introduce my girlfriend, even though she's not yet my girlfriend, but it's all the way I can feel it. Okay. But the problem is that if they are meeting her, I will cut these niggas out. Love y'all. Love y'all. And thank you for the help. Ms. Happy with my Staddy. I know that's the right girl. Oh, Lesbians really could eat all the world. I remember those days. Oh, this is so sweet. Yeah. Um, what do you think? I think it's well to you when and how you come out. Yeah, it always is. Um, and the thing is you you kind of already know what the worst is to expect here. Mm hmm. That, you know, there will be people who ice you out that will say, okay, well, you as long as you be in game, then my kids came to be around you, which is so fucking hard for and ridiculous. We're not the ones fucking with kids. Y'all are. But anyway, um, you think I go get you points, but I do. Oh, you know, they do. You know, they do. Um, or yeah, just start treating you differently, looking at you funny, not inviting you to stuff that sort of thing, being ostracized by the people you love the most. That's deeply painful. Um, so you, it doesn't sound like you're dependent on them in any way. That's normally what I ask is like, do you rely on these people for money, housing? That sort of thing. It doesn't sound like you do. Um, right. So in that case, I would wait until she's officially your girlfriend. I know it's been two very happy weeks. I was like, my wife should just bring the doll around not. Not necessarily. But the thing is, here's the thing. I would wait to introduce her specifically until she's actually your girlfriend. But this girl wasn't like your gay awakening. You've been knowing you have crushes on girls. Yeah. So why not come out first without introducing her? I agree. How about that? How does that feel? Happy with that? I should have gave you a, I should have gave you a different name. But that's what they're doing. Why not just, you know, the next time you and your family together be like, oh, by the way, I day girls, or however, you know, is more most comfortable for you to say it. And see what the reaction is like, so that you don't expose this person to their hatred or bigotry or however ugly they might get about it. Like, and yourself, because it sounds like you will be very tight. They say anything. Right. If they say something crazy to her. Right. If they, if they mean to her, now you feel like you need to fight. Let's not make the first visit. Let's not put all of that on this first meeting with her. Maybe just come out. I think my, my suggestion would be first of all to come out first without involving her and see how they react to that. But you're right, girl. Like, you know, you have a religious family. This is how this, you're right to be worried that they might react this way. Unfortunately. Yes. At the same time, a couple things, you aren't certain. how they will react about this. Also, I think it is quite common in situations like this where you see who's who in the family. You might actually be surprised. Maybe, I don't know, maybe mama is like, well, I think this is just a phase or you got that gay spirit from you know, washing all that half and half or whatever. From the room, it's the rain fall. Yeah, there's that damn podcast that's been factored. And so, but then maybe daddy, maybe grandma, maybe sibling, maybe someone else is like, hey, fuck what are they talking about? You know, they always been a little too super sad. I don't know why she's always talking that shit because she goes, yeah, you know, we know she would be in a casino running it. So it's like, it's fine. And also Corona girls was gay. So that's how my cousins were. That's what I say. Yes, it could create a situation where some people disappoint you. It could also create a situation where you were closer to some members of your family. Yeah. And it's not uncommon for people to come around. They might be unhappy at first. And then a year or two later, they like, I don't even know why I was tripping. I like that. You know, whatever. Like that's not impossible either. So that's true. Loki, some of the grandbabies are not expensive to me. Oh, so auntie can't come around because well, grandma, that isn't how I like it makes any sense. I don't care if she has a girlfriend. Daddy's had five girlfriends this year. Yeah. Why would I give it to all of them? Why would I give it to him that Lauren can't come around right? I don't. This is just not making sense. Yeah, mama brought in a nigga straight from prison, but Lauren can't have a girlfriend. It's not adding up grandma. Yeah, I know me right now. So I'm just saying. Yeah. I think Crystal also headed on that in terms of it sounded like you are relatively self-sufficient and that this would be more like an emotional burden if they disappointed you or I tried you. So I think that can also be helpful in you getting to it. You're relieving yourself of that I don't know, wall or yeah, just whatever shroud, I don't know, cord. But and yeah, this is what's great about having friends. So many queer people have the experience of making their own family out of friends because their families reject them and it sounds like you do have friends who accept you and love you for who you are and you may, you know, just need to lean on them a bit more if your family takes this in the wrong direction. But you've known that you were queer. Well, you said gay, but it sound like you like a little bit of everybody. Um, which is fine. Do you do you unless it started queer? And now she's like, I am a four heart Kalani. The Kalani and Renee rap were both like, you know what? Actually, Renee rap did a song with Megan Delia. So that answer was like, I don't know what I was thinking. I'm not singing about one. Fuck all that. When they rap said, boys, we're fine, except Dick. And then I realized, oh, there's an alternative. I'm a white meat. Exactly. So yeah, I hope that helps in your coming out story. And I pray your family reacts a lot more chilled than you think they will. But yeah, do you have a long read? Like, I'm trying to decide if we should do one more if we should stop it here. So we have enough time. Okay. So our last letter comes from Susie who says, I need advice on how to respond to a friend who can never seem to be happy for me. My friend Angelica is constantly comparing our lives. And I feel myself growing resentful of it. Whenever they learn of something good or even neutral happening in my life, they can't seem to be happy for me. For example, after my partner and I alope, they congratulated me, but quickly followed up with I wish I was getting married to the love of my life right now. When we were when we were texting while I was on vacation this summer, they said, I wish I could go on vacation this summer. Never mind that they had a vacation coming up in the next couple of months. When I had a dentist appointment pop up and I let them know because it impacted our plans, they responded about how soon they won't be able to go to the dentist because they losing their insurance after getting fired from their job. I empathize with them and I'm always there when they need to call or text to vent, which is often, but it's gotten to a point where I don't want to tell them about anything that happens in my life. On the flip side, I also feel like I can't be open with them about my struggles. In the past, when I've tried to talk to them about hard things in my life, the conversation circles back to their perception that they have it harder, or they'll make a comment about having felt overwhelmed by hearing me talk. They've been in intensive mental health therapy for many years now, so they do have a professional they talk, they trust to talk about their feelings with, but when it comes to talking with me, they are resistant to recognizing the ways that they are blessed in their own life and feel the need to compare themselves to an inaccurate idea of me and what my life is like. This is my best friend and I love them. We have lots of fun together and great conversations. We share similar interests. However, now that they are in a serious relationship, the comparisons and inviasness haven't let up like I hope they would. I don't want to be a flaky coward, afraid of having hard conversations like I have been in the past, but I can feel myself growing distant. How can I respond when my friend makes comments like this? Am I being insensitive? What would you do? Thanks, Susie. Yeah, my name is Susie and good, you think I love it. That's right. Lucky, another pop culture sidebar, I love that Keisha is walking this man to the car, everywhere like I have such feelings about my feelings. I really like the place about that because on the one hand, this is the kind of care that a lot of people need. And on the other, I'm concerned about Keisha's care. I'm concerned about because you managing, you doing all that work to manage somebody else's mental illness and then talking about, well, I'm on therapist. I don't need no hell, blah, blah, blah. I don't know about, but you know, if only Kenneth Petty felt this way about Nicki Minaj, if only Kenneth would delete Nicki's apps with an episode is coming around. Ah, anyway. And I feel like he could. Yeah, I don't think she would argue with him. Okay, Daddy. But it's like, well, she's busy. She's not paying all attention. She just need our distracted so he can continue to spin on that remix. I think in this situation, it's like the first thing that came to my mind when it was when the question was like, well, how to have a conversation was a quote that I heard just a couple of days ago. It was a line of lines of like, when you're having, when you have disagreement or if you have an argument with someone, fight like you love them and not like you hate them. Yeah, that's real. And that just kind of trickled down really to the way that you word things, the way that you approach things, the tone that you use when you're having a conversation. Okay. When you lead with how much you love that person and treasure that person, it can hopefully help in the delivery of your message and like progress within the conversation. So all that to say, I think like I get the possible anxiety around having this conversation with her because you're worried about where we go, is it going to run a friendship? Is it right? But not saying anything isn't helping you are. So how you say it, I think would be what you left with. And there's loads of ways to figure out how to do that. So that really is ultimately it. But like if you, I mean, it doesn't sound like you are questioning whether or not you are over reacting or overthinking. I don't believe you are, it was a question. Yeah, because this is annoying. It's incredibly annoying. And it's almost like, are you hearing you? Like bitch, I just got married. And the first thing you say is I wish I was getting married. Okay. Okay. I'm literally on my honeymoon right now. And you said congrats. Wish it was me. Bitch what? Like that's just, and maybe they don't know the difference between a inside voice and a outside voice. That is a good point. But she got a therapist. Right. So maybe this is not even in the top five things this person is working on with their therapist. That was something I was thinking to myself when you were reading the question too, was I wonder if she has spoken to her therapist about you? And if you would even know that, you don't have any. Because there is something clearly there. Yeah. If she does this to you. And it seems like progress here in therapy, progress here, serious relationship. But still, I'm like, I just had a baby and the baby baby came out singing Ave Maria. And it was beautiful. The whole room cried. And you're just like, I wish I had a singing baby. (laughing) - Right. - For you, Chad G.P.T. Like, what the fuck are you, what are you talking about? - Yes. So when Angelica says, like, oh, I wish I had a singing baby, can you say something like, you know, sometimes I feel like you really have trouble being happy for me. Like, sometimes I would, the next time it comes up, I would address it in that moment. So it's not like, I have an itemized list of 30 years of disagreements. Like I wouldn't be, (laughing) not just a Hamilton shit, but like the next time it happens, you know, you say things like that. And it just makes me, I sometimes I wonder if you feel happy for me. - No, just like that. Be like, I wish I had a singing baby. (laughing) - No, why would you say that? (laughing) - What do you mean? No, why would you say that just right now? Why, what about this amazing miraculous news that I just shared with you, immediately made you, think of, immediately make you go to envy? Why, why would you say that? - Right. - See what it comes from there? 'Cause that, you're just asking a question. There's no vitriol, no anything. I'm asking a question to you. Why again, are you saying this? And then from there, if they say something that you can actually have a response to, you go from there, if not, then I would just be like, "Yeah." - Yeah. - Because had you noticed that this is like the 43rd thing that I have told you that has been either amazing or just have decent. - Yeah. - And your response immediately has been like, (clearing throat) Now, how do you think that makes me feel your best friend? - Right. Right. - I tell you good things because I want to share good news and revel in happiness. - Yes. - And that gets cut off immediately. - And I came to your first response. - And I came to even talk to you about bad news because you make it about you. - Yeah. - And I get that you're the center of your world, but aren't you just, are you not sharing, we're supposed to be sharing lives. Like, you want to take a break? - They're supposed to be. (laughing) They're supposed to be some, I'm back and forth here girl. Like, if I'm talking to you about my magical singing baby, can we just take some time to be so happy and revel at the singing baby? Like, can we just do that? Does it have to immediately jump so you don't have a singing baby? And how come God gave you this singing baby and I didn't get one? Like, God, damn, you have a therapist. Bitch, you know what? Look, a person's face is me like. - This is weird. - That's really beautiful. (laughing) - Yeah, he immediately get on the phone with my therapist right afterwards. Like, oh no, I'm singing baby. And you know what my therapist would say? Why would you say that? Why are you, what's going on there? - Yeah, I mean, why can't you be happy for your friend? - Yeah, and even the feelings of envy or whatever, that's, it's natural to a certain degree. It sounds like this person is feeling it a lot though. - Like all the time. - Like all the time about everything. So that's what's making it a little weird. But, you know, hopefully a therapist can help you work through those feelings. Like, why do I do this? Why do I make it all about me? Do you have some sort of fear that if the focus is off of you for 10 seconds, people are going to forget about you or something? It's a million reasons, you know, possibilities behind why you behave that way. - Something happened in a 15 birthday party. - And you have no idea because you weren't in none of this no mind, but she's been holding on to, again. - Are you the middle child in a big family? And both parents were working three jobs. And so your needs just kind of went by the way side. And so now that you have friends, you want to make sure everybody knows what you need. And by all the way, it could be so many things. But this isn't, you're not being a good friend, Angelica. This is not how a good friend behaves. So, I would say something the next time it happens, which sounds like it'll be the next time you talk to him. (laughing) - She does this often. - You do this all the time baby girl. Like I just would love for you to chill the fuck out. And then yeah, based off how Angelica responds to that, you can decide, you know, where to go from there. I think most people would be like, oh my god. It's very possible. And Angelica don't even realize that they do this. And so, it could be like, damn, you just made me realize that I do that all the time. I'm so fucking sorry. And then you make a real effort to not do it again. It hopefully, hopefully, we gonna cross our fingers. But that's how that shouldn't go. Okay, yes, best of luck to you Susie. Let us know how that conversation goes. That's gonna wrap up the letters this week. Again, if you have a question for us, send it to [email protected], we'll be right back. - We're back and it's time for the read. I don't have a role one. So I will go first and keep it brief. Again, it is spooky season. And I am deciding to do what I did. I believe last week and I'm going to be reading a horror movie character. - Oh, okay. And so this week, I would like to read someone by the name of Chris Washington. Chris Washington is a black man that was the lead in a film called Get Out, where he was in a relationship with a white bitch from girls. - Oh my God, the character. - And what did you do? - We got that. - This white girl's family's house, where he was terrorized, abducted, and almost killed. This brother was told numerous times by his Negro friend. Not to go to this white girl's random family house in the middle of nowhere, but he didn't UI. And I just want to say, Chris, what was that about? I'm telling you, I have interacted with various white women for all the time that I've been here and I have yet to figure out why Yunif has covered them so many days. What is it that will make you bitches retreat from your own good common sense insanity for them, I don't know. - What do y'all like so much? - I did that. I don't know. Me either. - Every time I'm around one for a prolonged period of time, I'm like, you race to do that. Anyways, I'm assuming maybe it's because she gave a police officer some shit when he was being racist 'cause you said it was so sexy or hot or whatever the fucking word it was that she used and then looked, look, she was eating fruit loops one by one and drinking milk with a straw, like a fucking psycho. Our parents were preparing a carb, y'all, as uh, you know who else would have gave a cop attitude behind you not doing nothing, a sister? - Well, and that white woman just didn't want the police to have no record of your ass being out there 'cause you never came here. - Oh, that's all that was. - Because she's been perpetuating decades of conspiracy where they steal me 'cause. - Yeah, yeah, yeah. - And experiments on them. - Yeah, yeah. - But she saw that dry, brittle thin hair and that white skin and you're like, I gotta have me some of the head. - Are you going home to the family and you stayed there and you saw them niggas acting on odd and you spent the night? - Yeah, it was so. - Spent the night. Oh, Chris. And the only reason that you even made it out of there at the end because you did escape just barely the same white woman got you, got you and it hadn't been anybody but community on the other side of them random blue lights, your ass would have been dead. - Correct. - Niggas came back to come and get you. - Oh, man, 'cause when she said, you know what you're doing. - What are you doing? - I said, oh. - What were you doing? What about white woman is like, yeah, I'm gonna take the dress. I'm gonna try it out. White man don't even like them. - Okay. - I'm finished. (laughing) I mean, I do love get out, but- - It's a fantastic poem. - Oh, God. - This is parody, spoof. It's that tire. - It really had to end that way. It had to. That movie put me through too much fits in any other way. (laughing) - When the maids wig comes off and you see the scar on her head. - Oh yeah. - She's the granny. - Yeah, yeah. And they just live forever through our black body. - It's so good. Every time I watch that movie, I'm like, this is, it is so good. - Right. - And it's the scariest one. - Yeah. - The scariest one feels big horror movies. - It is. Because it feels the most realistic. (laughing) - And what it does with sound and cinematography is insane. And just the shot of the, again, the maid, when the blood. Black woman inside her comes up for a second and she fights it back down and is like no, no, even when you don't understand why she's doing it, it's so uncanny and scary, it's creepy. I have to get the fuck out of here. But with the nigga on landscaping AKA granddaddy is this sprinting towards him. Niggas already have a great fear of niggas running. Correct. Correct. And Jonathan was like, I'm going to do but that was scary to anybody watching, leaving immediately. He was testing out black body. Yes, he was just like, oh, yeah, I can run really fast. Just hang in the middle of the night. Yeah. This, this wouldn't be me because I am never the only black person anywhere. And I make sure I just won't do it. And I make sure of that. Okay. Um, well, I did have three reads this week, but we did two of them during the hot topics. So figured. Tammy Roman, I'm on your ass. She was on Candy Burst's podcast. So Tammy and her daughter, Jazz were on Candy's podcast that she has with her daughter, Riley. Riley? Yes. And so Tammy's daughter, Jazz was talking about how she has this girlfriend. She's been dating this girl for almost a year at this point. So which I guess they shot this in June because she mentions that it's pride month. And so she says, you know, Tammy, she says my mom doesn't want to meet any of, she doesn't want to meet my girlfriend. She doesn't want to meet any of the women I bring around. Um, my girlfriend now has had a great impact on my life. She's even gotten me back in church. And, you know, I wish my mom could see that. And Tammy was like, correct. Like, I don't want to meet that girl. I don't want her to come around and Jazz was saying that, you know, she's, she's graduating soon. And Tammy said that Jazz's girlfriend can't be at the graduation. And Tammy was like, right, she can't be in attendance. And when Candy was like, well, why? That's weird. Tammy said, there's this thing called confirmation bias. And if you know what confirmation bias is, you might be asking yourself, why would it be confirmation bias and not homophobia? Tammy says, my daughter's heterosexual. So it's easier for me to understand that I need time to figure out how this, how this talking about Jazz, because of course she has another daughter who straight. So it was the question was like, how come the boyfriend can come around with a girlfriend can. And so Tammy said, well, confirmation bias, because my other daughter's heterosexual. So I can, I get that, but I need time to figure out this other one so I can be comfortable. And I still love her, but I have to protect my mental health. And that's where I said, okay. Kimmy Schmidt. All right. Well, bitch, that's not what confirmation bias is. It isn't. That isn't what that means. I don't even, I'm trying to figure out how you worked the definition of confirmation bias into this situation. Confirmation bias is where you look for evidence to support your existing beliefs. You don't look for evidence to show you the truth. You look for information that supports what you already believe or what you already value. That has fuck all to do with you not wanting to meet your daughter's girlfriend. And so candy, and we all know candy is a freak bisexual, whatever she be doing in her sex dungeon with Todd. Yes. So candy was like, okay, but it's not your graduation. It's her graduation rights, which is the obvious thing here. Like what you mean, she can't come to the graduation. And Tammy's like, well, you know, I don't care. They need to be good together at least a year and a half, two years before I meet her. And jazz is like, well, who are you, Danny, Tammy? You're missing out on a lot of, you're missing out on a lot of moments. Now that are important to me because my girlfriend is there and you won't come around. And Tammy's just like, well, no, cause what if she come to the graduation and she all up in the pictures and then three months later, y'all not together no more. And candy was like, well, she don't have to be in the graduation pictures with the family, but it's crazy to be like she can't come to the graduation. And Tammy was like, yeah, I don't give a fuck. Even if she was in the graduation pictures and then y'all break up, then you have pictures with my ex in it. I mean, who I was dating at the time, bitch, you don't have pictures with your ex-exasmin. It is. So if that is so stupid, like, first of all, the pictures can just exist. Secondly, we can photo shop her out. Third, we can take pictures without anybody but blood family. It can be you and your mom and your daddy and your sisters in your pictures. If that's what you want to do, like we can take a multitude of pictures. But this is my girlfriend. And so Riley was like, well, I guess because, you know, Riley has these queer parents. And so she was like, I don't get this. The whole concept of coming out is stupid to me. I didn't have to come out as straight. And Tammy was like, you don't have to come out as straight because that's the default society, which true. Yes, that is why people don't have to come out. But you're being Tammy. I mean, Riley was saying, you know, this is just, this is so weird and fucked up. Like, I just feel like I would be miserable. And Tammy was like, I'm sure she is measurable. I don't care. Lovely. And I just sat there like, what type of cookie would you like today, mother? What kind of mother? Called nasty pussy bitch. Do you have to be to sit there and look? And I'm sure that this girl puts up with it because Tammy is financially supporting her life. It's no other reason to tolerate this. But this girl is not, you know, she's not 18 graduating from high school. She's not even her early 20s. I think she's 28 or 29. So she's super fucking grown. And still at this age, Tammy is acting like it's some kind of phase or she must not know what she actually like or you not really into this girl. Whatever weirdness you coming up with. A custom with straight people. I need to figure out this gay thing. There's something called confirmation bias. Yes, there is. And that has nothing to do with this. Has it Tammy dated girls before? Am I making that up? I would not doubt this. I didn't throw that out there because I'm not sure. But like, I could have been more as eating box literally. But now all of a sudden she's so uncomfortable with her daughter having a girlfriend. So she says she got to take a step back and figure out how this works for me miserable. Bitch, come on. I have to. She literally said I have to figure out how I can become one that moment because there's something called mental health that we have to be concerned about. And I got to be concerned about mine. She's saying something called. She's a dumb man. She's a fucking dumb ass. Bitch. If your mental health is affected by your daughter having a girlfriend, that's called homophobia. And you need to work on that. That's your fucking problem. Don't turn that to be movie to do. I just really couldn't believe that this was the justification she was giving for making her daughter feel ostracized. Straight up telling her daughter, yeah, you might have these big moments in your life, but the person that you care about isn't welcome if I'm also going to be there. And when jazz is like, yeah, and so I have these moments all the time that you're not around for like I've been dating this girl almost a year. You're not there for so much. Many things. There's so many things that matter to me. And you're not around because my girlfriend is there and Tammy's like, oh, well. Be with her for longer. And maybe I'll try to get over it. Bitch. Not Tammy Roman. Not right. Not Tammy. You could never fix your mouth literally to direct this energy at my 28 29 year old body. With a judgment. Right. With like scorn and dignity. Anything like the way that you have cut up and carried on. For a good part portion of my adolescence and younger adulthood and adulthood and all these things out in the very open up. The absolute ass. You have. Tell me a fuck thing. Not one fucking thing. You a mess. Did you graduate? Your money is from going on TV and acted like a bitch. Right. Where's your degree from anywhere? The way my mother would be uninvited from my shit so fast. If you don't like it, then don't come to my fucking graduation. Don't come to my fucking graduation. Homophobia aside, the smooth fact that you could tell feel like you can tell me who can and can't come to my graduation ceremony is nuts. In 2025, you are getting on camera and telling us you don't know how to love your daughter unconditionally and you're not interested in figuring it out. Saying that. And also makes me think of like his conversation. I mean, they tried their best. It sounds like it's conversation is not for Candy and Riley. That lady from couples therapy. So you need to be talking to somebody who is going to be asking the questions and getting into the dark. Right. Candy. It's Riley sounded like they were trying to be like, this is absurd. Yeah. But they speak it to her right. Who's just going to go, I don't care. She can be miserable because I'm miserable. And you act like the graduation is in your backyard. Bitch, if I want her there, she'll be there with all them thousands of other people. And what the fuck can you possibly do about it? You can't even say you don't like the girl she's with because you won't even meet her. I just I would have I don't know why I'm shocked to hear this coming out of Tammy Romance mouth. I don't know. I guess because she's such a fucking hood rat on reality TV. would assume that she wasn't this fucking clothes minded and ignorant, but wow. So it's fucked Tammy Romney for me. Don't, I don't give a fuck about whatever it is that she's doing and she's selling weave or lashes or cigarettes. - You need it clearly, I forgot it. - Whatever, right. Whatever she doing, I don't need it, right. I'm not supporting shit about this bitch 'cause this is disgusting. (laughing) Girl, fuck you. The hot, oh, and I know it must be that this child is dependent on her financially 'cause the heartiest fuck you is your mother-in-law. (laughing) Simply don't come to my graduation then. You're telling me to pick the green, this girl that I care about in you and jazz is like, well, you're my mom, of course, I pick you, but there's gonna come a day when she's tired of picking you and then what? And then what? Get over it. People, be gay. People, be gay. Of all the shit you, Tammy Roman, have done on camera. This is where you draw a hard line. Your grown daughter choosing to date a woman, bitch, be for real. Oh, what a dumbass. I just, I'm done, I'm sick. - When the kids are out, and the kids are doing fine. And they're in the school and they're eating veggies. And they're, she's graduating. Why can't you have, you would think you would be happy for her. - Right, right. It's like I'm going to destroy the sanctity of our relationship, the safeness that could be here, the love, because I don't wanna meet your study. I just wanna just suck it up, acknowledge that this planet ain't mine. Never will, it's never will be. - You have a limited amount of time with your children. And this is how you choose to study. And I'm gonna have to get over it. - This is how you choose. - So you feel like terrorizing your kids, and then going on a real housewives podcast to glow about it, does what? You and Brian McKnighton, you need to get on the same island. - And just fuck right off, girl. - It's a couple of bitches that could go with you. - You, and I hope she cut you smooth off one day. And I hope you cry, and I hope you just devastated about it, in your case, stop crying. And where did I go wrong? You went wrong when you chose not to love your child. That is where you went wrong. It's where millions of years went. - The nurse will wipe your ass. - Oh yeah. - I hope your money will keep you warm. - Be very nice. - Yeah. It's just, anyway, anyway, I'm done. Fuck Tammy Roman, don't say shit else to me about that bird ass bitch. - I'm an idiot. - Oh, and that wraps up. This week's episode of The Read, Find us on social media at this is The Read. Summary:

FAQs

Rockman Dunbar sued Disney after refusing to get the COVID vaccine, citing religious beliefs that he believed the vaccine separated people from God. He claimed religious exemption, but the court ruled against him, stating that his refusal to vaccinate violated public health mandates.

All eight members of the jury unanimously ruled in favor of Disney, stating that Dunbar could not claim religious exemption because he takes 37 other medications, and that refusing the vaccine posed a serious health risk to himself and others.

Marvin Williams publicly humiliated a woman who donated $1,200 to a church building fund, telling her she was in the wrong line because he asked for $2,000. He criticized her for not meeting his financial expectations, sparking outrage over the exploitation of donors.

The community condemned his actions as disrespectful and unchristian, arguing that such behavior contradicts Jesus’ teachings on compassion and humility. Critics said his actions showed social inequality and a lack of empathy.

Brandy walked off stage mid-performance, citing dehydration and feelings of fainting. She later explained it was due to health concerns and not personal issues, which led to disappointment among fans and online backlash.

Brandy attributed her sudden exit to dehydration and a health emergency, stating that she had been through intense rehearsals and felt unwell, making it impossible to continue the performance safely.
