S8 - Reality 7 - Messianic Kingdom

The discussion centers on the nature of the future Messianic Kingdom, defined as a literal, thousand-year reign of Jesus Christ from Jerusalem following His second coming. This kingdom is presented as distinct from God's present, universal rule, emerging after a final seven-year crisis. Its core purpose is the restoration of all things, described biblically as "the regeneration" and "the restoration of all things," which will return the earth to a pre-fall, Edenic state of perfection, free from sin and curse. The speaker emphasizes interpreting New Testament references to the "kingdom" through an Old Testament Jewish perspective, viewing it as a future, physical reality rather than a present spiritual reign. This understanding is framed as a corrective to theological views that conflate the kingdom with the current age. The talk concludes by linking faithful stewardship in this life to future responsibility and reward in the coming kingdom, using the interaction between Jesus and Peter in Matthew 19 to illustrate the promise of inheritance and authority for those who follow Christ.

Well guys, as we start tonight looking at the Messianic Kingdom, let me give just a quick backdrop to where we've been and what we want to try to do is just we'll quick hit the seven realities of the last days but without going into a lot of detail because we need to get straight to our point. Just know this, okay, and it's an absolute pattern from Genesis to Revelation. It's an absolute pattern. And if you see it, you'll never not see it again. And it's simply this, that there is a crisis, I can write on the board because I'm going to erase all that, but there is a final seven-year crisis of this age that precedes the second coming of Jesus to do the day of the Lord. The second coming is in the sky, the day of the Lord is in the land. We've talked about this and really dealt with that last week. But there's a crisis of seven years of trouble that precedes the coming of Jesus to do the day of the Lord before He sets up His kingdom. But we want zero in now on the Messianic Kingdom. Messianic meaning there's, I think, was Hebrew word Mashiach, is that right? In the New Testament, the word from Messiah is Christ or Christus. So we're talking about Jesus, but in a Jewish terms, they were always looking for a Messiah figure to come. And He shall come. One of the things, as you know, many of the Jews missed is that He would be a suffering servant and a suffering Messiah in His first advent that they did not recognize that visitation and their house has been left desolate. Matthew, the end of Matthew 23, and Jesus prophesied this to them, "Your house has been left desolate. You did not recognize your time of visitation." So they're looking for Him to come. The Messiah, we believe according to the fullness of the old and new Testament, right? And He will buy when the new, we believe that He came a first time to suffer before He will enter into His glory. Let's think about this for a moment. What's Jesus doing right now? He's feeling the right hand of Father and He's waiting. He's waiting for His feet. For the enemies of Israel to be made a first stood for His feet. He's waiting. It's a Psalm 110. And which is crazy. It's quoted about 23 times in the New Testament. Psalm 110 is the most quoted passage from the Hebrew Bible in the New Testament. And I think it's so beautiful because it gives us an understanding of what's happening between the gap of the first and second advocates of the Messiah. Jesus is sitting at the right hand of the Father and He's waiting till His enemies be made a foot stood for His feet, which is connected to Isaiah 66. Heaven is my throne. The earth is my foot stood. Where could you build it? Place for me, He says. But the beauty now that we're waiting for is that Jesus will come once His enemies have made a foot stood. He's coming and He will set up a kingdom in the city of Jerusalem. And He will move from the center of the earth, from the center of Jerusalem to the land of Israel to the nations of the earth. Jesus will reign over this planet for a thousand years. Some of you have heard me say this before. Sometimes I don't even feel like I can even like stood by relationship with a wife and two children who are now out of the house like man, think about what what is God giving you to stood for? Finances, some of you that are married, children, some of us have grandchildren. And how well are we doing stood and what God entrusted to us? Because how you stood at this age has continuity in how you would live in the age to come for sure. Because if you stood with faithfully what's been given to you in the small here give you more. It's a really clear biblical spirit of principle. But think about this. How did Jesus stood His first advent? In such a way, man, He's such our hero, the way He stewarded life in this first coming of full obedience to the love of God. And in lay down His life, resurrected, ascended to the Father. But this is why the way He stewarded this age for 33 and a half years, that the Father will give Him dominance over the entire planet. Jesus is coming to put planet earth. And this is what we understand as the messianic kingdom. Okay? Let's start here first guys. And I will to hit this for a moment in reality seven right in the middle of your notes. This is a large subject. And I've been working on this in my own walk and journey, theologically, eschatologically. Now since 2011, it's always been 15 years. And when you understand this, it will help you that there is a distinction between the universal kingdom of God, the Father, who is raining and rolling over the heavens and the earth now. But there's a distinction between the present universal kingdom of God and a future messianic kingdom, which we're talking about. And here's the point, the Father rules the heavens and the earth. Think about it. Really, Psalm 1 and 3, 19. Heaven is my throne. I don't know, not heaven is what is to say. Psalm 1 and 3, 19. The Lord has established His throne in the heavens and His sovereignty rules over all. Even Nebuchadnezzarings in Daniel 4, He recognized this, that you're the God who rules the heavens and the earth. So we understand that the Father is always ruled the heavens and the earth. He's always been sovereign over them. But when we start talking about, and here's where you got to, you got to work through it. And I'll never forget for two to three hours, every day in the summer of 2011, I sat in a prayer room with David Ripman. And we work through a friend of ours now, John Herrigan's Materials on this, this, this reality, a Jewish narrative that there's a really a future kingdom coming. Instead of trying to get the kingdom to come now, we have began to understand it's a kingdom that comes when Jesus comes again. And instead of conflating the kingdom with this age, we can't but Jewish a future kingdom. Books on the ground, Jesus Messiah ruling from Jerusalem, not a spiritual reign now. Father's doing that. But when you see kingdom, here's my point. And I gave a great at the bottom of the page. I want you to really consider this because I believe it to be the truth of the Word of God. Okay. And it's this that when you see the word kingdom in your New Testament, from the gospels to the book of Acts, to the epistles, to the book of Revelation, when you see the word kingdom, get you. Some of those micron pens that are acid-free that don't bleed through your Bible. And whether it's red or blue or purple, I can't or not. But would you take the word kingdom in every use in your New Testament and write simply a word above it or before it. And that would be coming. It's a coming kingdom. Now George Eldon Ladd in the 50s, full of theological sin. He coined the phrase, "the kingdom is now but not yet." And it was a conflation. You know, all millennialism is, we're full-blown in the kingdom now, right? And there's only some things going to happen at the end. But I obviously don't believe in a preterist kingdom is here now, realized eschatology because the Jewish understanding from the from the Old Testament is that it's a future kingdom when Messiah is ruling from Jerusalem. It's not Psalm 110, Jesus quote, "raining spiritually from the heavens." Psalm 110 now. That's not the reality that you understood from the Old Testament. It's a kingdom where Messiah is here with us and we're beholding Him face to face. That's the kingdom where Jesus is literally ruling like in a physical body that's been resurrected, right? And he's here again ruling the rainy from Jerusalem. That's the kingdom that we're talking about. So I'm going to give you a thought, and again, I thought about bringing the book in here, but I didn't. But look at the bottom of page one, understanding the New Testament uses of kingdom as the future Messiah and the kingdom of Jesus. In the age to come here, right, is truly a game changer. I highly recommend working through this subject in John Herodin's book, The Gospel of Christ crucified. He has an appendix and it's about 20 pages and he works through every kingdom passage in the New Testament that many have been interpreted as a kingdom now. But when you understand it from an Old Testament Jewish perspective, you begin the lens comes off and you realize, oh my God, he's actually talking about a future kingdom, not a kingdom now. And there's a few. It's basically about three problem passages in the New Testament where you could interpret the kingdom as now, but when you work through them from a first century Jewish mindset, you realize it's a future kingdom that's coming. So when you hear people all, and we all we all do this. When we talk about the kingdom, here we talk about the kingdom, the kingdom, we talk about something that exists now. Well, from the father's perspective, yes, he reigns in rules of the heavens and the earth, but when you see kingdom in the New Testament, it's speaking of a future kingdom when Messiah comes and it's only established at the second coming day of the Lord when he comes. And I really believe this will lift the lens. It took me 15 years to understand this. But if you get it and begin to read it and understand it in that way, if you want more clarity, I really charge you to get John's book. It will really help begin to open up some things. So just keep that in mind. And again, the biggest part is that we're trying to maintain a Jewish narrative, right? John, you got something? I'm good, man. Okay, let's just read this paragraph page, uh, top of page two. This is the kingdom defined. This is, this is kind of what we're saying. Okay, number one, after a number one, uh, the top of the page two, after Jesus' second coming day of the Lord, you know, wait a minute. Yeah, we just try to keep it real. We're a clear and simple up on the board. After Jesus' second coming day of the Lord, he will establish his everlasting kingdom in Jerusalem for a thousand years. It begins as a thousand years. It's a transitional kingdom. He's beginning to restore all things. Guys, do y'all know what's going to happen during this time, particularly the final three and half years? Do you know how desolate Jerusalem is going to be? Jesus is not going to come back and all of a sudden, like he did in creation in Genesis 1, let there be temple, all of a sudden there's a temple. He's going to build the temple in Jerusalem. But man, the city of Jerusalem and the land of Israel is going to be desolate and decimated during this final time. And it's going to take some time to rebuild. So, the point that we're making is there's a thousand year transitional kingdom before the eternal state of we understand as eternity. But brothers, you got to get this out of your mind. We're not going away to heaven. Heaven comes to earth. And in some capacity, we're going to live here forever on the earth. Do you understand that? And you've got to work through some passages like the heaven. There's new heavens in New York. Yeah, because they've been restored. We're not talking about the the heavens and the earth are going to be annihilated. No, they're going to be they're going to be restored. And it's the beauty of Eden in Genesis 1, 2 and 3. Eden will be restored again at the end. We'll get to that in a little bit. Look at it. Let's look at these two terms. Let me let me let me stay with that. Specifically, Jesus will reign rule as king and in front of Jerusalem over the entire nations of the earth. Number of passages just get in there. Read them guys. Work through them. Okay. And this time it's called the regeneration of the earth and the restoration of all things. I gave you a footnote at the bottom. But let's go there for a moment. Let's get to Matthew 19. Man, this passage just gives me so much like language and shoes over the years. Because when you read it, you're like, oh my gosh, like it's right there. So let me give you a little bit of background. Okay. Here's what's happening. You'll remember it's your ruler. He shows up. Yeah, thanks, bro. Richard Ruler shows up. And Jesus, as you know, he starts telling me, he starts telling me, hey, you just need to obey the commandments. And when you work through that passage, you can see what Jesus is doing with Richard Ruler is really quite profound. He calls him out on his issue of covetousness, really. When you get him down in the passage, though, Jesus is Jesus begins to say the ritual rule will walk away from Jesus. Because here's what Jesus always deals with. He says, if we're in love with the things of this age, those are the things that will have our hearts. And Jesus simply is giving to us clarity in Matthew 19 and many other passages where he says things like if we if we gain this age, we'll lose the age to come. But if we'll lose this age, we'll gain the age to come. And basically, the rich on rule would not let go of his possessions. Is it okay to have finances? Is it okay to be wealthy? As long as the wealth does not consume and control us? Yes. And remain generous? Yes. But the rich on rule would not let go of these things. And all the sudden, Peter is the one. He's the one always putting his foot in his mouth, right? But he's the one who rose up and he said, oh, let's just read it. You got it, Jacob. Matthew 19, 26. I don't know. 27, 230? Probably so. Can you just start in 26? Let me just make sure. Yeah, I think that's right, though, Jacob. Let me just look, but quick. Yeah, because in 26, they're like, because he walked away and they're like, well, who can be saved in God? And Jesus says, with me, this is impossible. With God, all things are possible. Okay, 27 to 29. And Peter said to him, behold, we have left everything and followed you. What then will there be for us? Think about this. This is in the context of ritual order. Ritual order is like, he couldn't let go of his possessions. Peter's like, I have actually not walked away from my wife, but I've been following you for like three and a half years. I'm walking, walking with you. And my wife is still up in the region of Galilee. It's not like a divorce term, but Peter was the only possible that we know was actually married. And now he's following Jesus around. Any else in the chosen, it kind of gets to get real, you know, because some of the things that happened between he and what was it? Would he call her in the chosen Peter's wife? Of her? Maybe. Anyway, man, here's the bigger idea. The Peter's like, you can you fill it? Do you ever get like this? Can you feel Peter? He's like, Lord, we've left everything with Jung ruler. He will not let go of his possessions, but we walked away from our father's fishing business. We, we laid it all down. We sacrificed it all for you. And Peter's like, what then? What's in it for us? Have you ever asked that question? Like you feel like, man, you feel good and righteous and you're like, I've laid it all down. You know, we sacrificed well in this age. What's in it for me? Lord, what's in it for us? This is what Peter's asking, okay? Starting 27 again and just go to 29. And Jesus said to them, truly, I say to you that you who have followed me in the regeneration when the Son of man who will sit on his glorious throne, you also shall sit upon 12 thrones judging the 25 changes real. And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or farms, will my say, will receive many times as much and will inherit eternal life. See the mark or Luke says, not only will you receive back in this age, but you will obviously receive in the age to come and think about this. You're ready. Think about what Jesus is saying. Look, you walk away from it. Let me tell you what's in store for you in the regeneration when the Son of man comes and you're like, what does that mean? Let me give you out of the word. This is crazy, man. The word regeneration is two Greek words. It's Paulin, P-A-L-I-N, Genesia. Paulin means a new or again. Genesia is the word for beginnings, source, it's the word for Genesis. You know what Jesus says in the regeneration. In the time when I do Genesis 1, 2, and 3 again, when I restore Eden, you will sit on 12th Rome's judging the 12 tribes of Israel. Can you imagine that calling? Man, I'm like, you know what that necessitates? Resurrection of the dead, but that, and again, that's down in the notes, but Jesus is simply saying to them, look, you left it all good. Let me tell you what's in store for you. You're going to inherit eternal life. You want to inherit the kingdom. And when I restore this earth back to a Eden state as it was in the beginning, man, I'm like, go back to Genesis 3, 2, 1 and 2, prefall, pre-Adam and Eve sinning, pre like the usurper showing up, pre sin, pre evil, pre curse on the earth, pre women having to deal with menstrual cycles and trouble having to men, right? Y'all know how it is, guys. We work by the sweat of our brow. It's like man, the days when there'll be no more thorns and fistles when there'll be a garden state again on the earth. That's what Jesus is saying. That's what the kingdom's going to be like. Let's have a little discussion, OK? Well, I love the little meaning of the word is again, birth. Again, birth. Yes, the earth is birthed again. And here's the crazy part. Those disciples would have understood exactly what he was saying. They would have understood he's doing what do Genesis again. We're going to get into the passages like Isaiah 51, Isaiah 34, Isaiah 36, that literally used the word Eden. Y'all remember all Fire Bird? He used to come here. He had a son. He called him Josiah and then he had a daughter. He called her Eden. And I think about Eden, like God's going to do Eden again. Like pre-truple, pre-send, pre-truple, pre-conflicts. And man, what a glorious time that we're going to be looking for. Anybody else got anything on that? And again, well, just one other thing Peter says in the restoration of all things in Acts 3 is Peter's second sermon in Jerusalem. And they just remembered the guy that was outside the gate and they healed him. He and John and the dudes run into the temple courts and rejoicing because he's been healed. He's been out there 38 years lame. I know y'all heard me talk about this one time. But can you imagine how many times did Jesus walk by that lame man when he went to the temple? I wonder this. The Father's like no, don't heal him. I'm going to save him for Peter and John in Acts 3. They're going to raise him up. And when they're raising from up from his lame, there's been 38 years in that condition, then Peter gives a second sermon. And then that second sermon starts up at the restoration of all, not just the regeneration, the restoration of all things. And he y'all restored anything lately. Yeah. Yeah, send it to the table and refinish it. Did it look different? Oh, every time you do anything. And currentwood and refinish it looks amazing. Dwight's a Potter. And at some point, we're going to get the brothers over to his pottery shop at his house, and let him tell us some stories about the potter in the clay. But that thing's on the wheel and it's flexible. You know, but think about that versus a lump of clay versus the finished product. And the beauty of what we're talking about is that Jesus, Peter's using this word, the restoration of all things. It's restoring something to its previous state of good and perfection. That's the word that Peter is using in the engine up, I x 321, that this earth itself is going to be restored back to a state as it was in Eden in the beginning. So that's a beautiful, big picture that we're just kind of staring at and defining what the Messianic Kingdom is going to look like. And now we're going to go and begin to just work through what the Scripture had to say about that Kingdom. Right? When you're talking about a restored, I got to think about the antique cars. If you want to go by antique car, they'll ask, is it rebuilt or is it restored? It was a big difference. Rebuilt is just using other parts and stuff to rebuild and bring back the car to what it would look like if it was restored, means using all original parts. Come on, Lord Jesus. What's this going to look like? Thank you for that insight, do I? That's good. I have the things in the brush, too. And just like, in thinking about the Scripture that always comes to my mind is that the earth groans, you know? And like, that gives it body because it's like, we are very troubled on this earth. Not just us. And then it literally says the earth itself groans for the Lord's coming. And so it's like, by the way, it's Romans 8, if anybody wants to, it's 8.5, so we were actually at the top of the, we were at the top of the pile about five years ago where our friendship started. Me and Matt. And we are friends. I'll pay you. And he said, look how beautiful all this stuff is, all the trees and the nature. And I just whispered, I said, and think about it, it's all dying. And it was like a very weird moment, but it was like one of those things where it's like, everything's grounding, everything's like, desiring to be made new. And that's what the Lord is going to do. And in that thousand year, you're ready, Christ. I remember Johnson, something where he's going to be part of the scuba team and he's going to be cleaning up the ocean in that thousand years. And like, you know, we're going to be taking care of all the landfills and we're going to meet, you know, in a thousand years, we're going to make the earth. Great again. And it's going to be awesome. That was a plug. Let me jump in real quick. I do have a plug. I haven't read all the notes, but I'm not sure. I apologize if it's there. But Joel Richardson's book, when a Jew rules the world, really helps you capture a vision of like an actual process that takes place in the message kingdom. As opposed to like, I guess the more Omelini will be where he just sort of snaps his fingers and everything's fixed. And so when you can get into that, then you can see like, oh, he loves this so much. Not only to redeem us, but allows to take part in the restoration. It's like, it's pretty cool. It becomes more real when I'm just floating in the clouds. Thank you. Yeah. Excellent. Because the God's always in the partnership. Even now, he's in partnership, right? Go make disciples of all nations. Y'all my partners in the earth. God, thank you. All right. Number two, well, I should have probably put an number of still, but the Lord will vindicate his name before all the nations. And I'm not going, some of these I'll hit, some of these I won't, but this phrase is being used in the Lord's Prayer. And again, I'm going to go into it as just one thing. Okay. Let's do think about this one though. Jewish restoration and the new covenant. And I really want to charge you. You see very little language of the new covenant in the New Testament. And one of the reasons I believe, and again, this has taken a long time to work through it, but I firmly the new covenant is made with Israel and Judah according to, is it you and Jeremiah? Okay. And so are we, are we in the new covenant now? We, we talk about, yeah, you know, Jesus simply said this. And again, you see only about two or three verses in the entire New Testament that speak of new covenant until you get to like Hebrews eight through 10. And Hebrews eight through 10 is speaking each quoting Jeremiah 31, which is a Jewish issue, right? And so the new covenant is specifically from the prophets. The new covenant is made with Israel and Judah at the coming of the Messiah in his kingdom. That is the clear context. So what does that mean for us now? Are we in the new covenant? You know, all this, Jesus simply said this on the night before his crucifixion. He said, this is my body and blood, my blood of all the new covenant. And I think he's simply saying, this is my blood of the new covenant that's coming with Israel. Because again, you don't see tons of language around this in the New Testament. And the only point I'm trying to make is this that the new covenant will be made with Israel in the age of coming. When you go study the new covenant passages, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, and I've listed them here, it just begins to like, wow, because here's what's going to happen. Always will be saved and enter into the new covenant when Messiah, Jesus returns Romans 11. Jews will turn to their Messiah, be forgiven and forsake all of their sins, receive the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and walk in the ways of the Lord forever. Like Joel too, that Peter's quoting in Acts chapter two at day of Pentecost. That Pentecost was just a little small down payment that literally the Holy Spirit is going to be pulled out upon the Jewish people when Jesus comes in this time of the kingdom. That's the context. He's like, well, they're not only going to be forgiven of their sins and forsake their sins and not walk in sin any longer. Jews are actually at that time according to these passages. They're going to have the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon them. And guys, this is why next week, I think, unless we wait another week, we'll see what we're going to begin moving into a series on living feel with the Holy Spirit. Because I'm fighting this over and over and over. It's one thing to be forgiven of your sins. But you know what happens for many of us? We keep repeating the same sins. We keep living in patterns of sin at times. Why? I believe because you just are not extended forgiveness. You're extended also the power and the gift of the Holy Spirit. And what God is saying to us, I don't want you to just live forgiven. I want you to live in a way that sin does not dominate you any longer. That literally, you're putting by the Spirit, you're putting to death the deeds of the flesh. This is why when Israel has the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon them, that they're going to actually be able to walk in the ways of the Lord. And they will be evangelists from Jerusalem to the nations of the earth according to Isaiah 2. The law will go forth from Zion. And they will actually evangelize the nations doing this thousand year kingdom. If that's new to you, I know it's done, but man, it's real. It's surreal. And I really believe this is the heart of the scriptures in terms of this idea of Jews being restored. So you can read that and look at some of those passages. I would encourage you that. All right. What's else is going to happen when he comes? So now we move to the Messianic banquet. And what, let me say, you're ready. We call it the marriage supper of the Lamb. There's a marriage supper of the Lamb, Jesus, where it's going to be like the time, it's the time of the new covenant. When Israel and Jesus are coming back into covenant again, we're simply going to be a part of that. And it's called the marriage supper of the Lamb in Revelation 19. But John, because he's a literate, not illiterate, he's a literate Jew, he understands his Bible. John understands that his whole idea of understanding marriage supper of the Lamb is built out of Isaiah 25 that is called the Messianic banquet. And what you need to do is take Isaiah 25 and Revelation 19 and just put them together. There's one reality. It's the messianic banquet is the marriage supper of the Lamb. So what's going to happen if the, some of you haven't heard this before. So I get to say it again. It's a point here just a minute. And you know, some of y'all have heard it a thousand times. But let's read that passage. Isaiah 25, 69. Guys, this is what's coming when Jesus comes in his kingdom. We're going to be there. Beal. We're going to be there, man. Three there for us, Bill. Are you there? Yeah. Isaiah 25, 69. Since the Lord of Hosts will prepare a lavish banquet for all peoples on this mountain, a banquet of aged wine, choice pieces with marrow and refined aged wine. And on this mountain, he will swallow up the covering, which is over all peoples, even the veil, which is stretched over all nations. He will swallow up death for all time. The Lord God will wipe tears away from all faces. And he will remove the reproach of his people from all the earth, for the Lord has spoken. And it will be said in that day, behold, this is our God for whom we have waited that he might save us. This is the Lord for whom we have waited. Let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation. Right behind that, again, Revelation 19, because this is what John's quoting in the book of Revelation. Let us rejoice and be glad and get glory to him. The marriage of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, in bright and clean for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Write this in blessed are those who invited to the marriage of the Lamb. So guys, again, this was the point I want to make in just a moment. I don't know, man, y'all tell me, right? This is a mall back, Oat barrels from Argentina. But I'm talking about, Jesus got some stuff in age, maybe for 2000 years. Have y'all considered that? I know that's crazy to think about, but it might be. I don't know what age wine means in Jesus' mind according to Isaiah 25, but we're going to be there around that table with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob according to Matthew 8/11. We're going to be there at the tables. Do you know where the meats coming from? They're going to be again sacrificed in again. This is not a sacrifice related to sins. It's related or moral impurity. It's related to ritual purity in the age to come. It's equal 40 to 48, but they're going to be sacrificing again. We're going to be eating like from animals that have been sacrificed as a pleasing aroma to God. And we're going to be eating choice pieces of meat that have their kiss up against the marrow or the bone. And we said it a number of times, but it is probably bone in rib eye, probably, something like that. And if you know anything, and I've had it recently, but if you know anything about a piece of meat up beside that bone, they're just something about the taste of it. Like for instance, I'm going to go Gentile with you now. Okay, there's a big difference between a piece of pork and a pork chop that's against the bone. It's something about that bone that makes that meat taste so bad. And all I'm saying to us in a funny kind of way, but in a serious way, man, what is it going to be like to be there with Jesus and to watch this covenant? The marriage of the bride is real and us as the righteous somehow, man. And guys, keep this in mind. We're not married to Jesus now. You hear that teaching out there that's just unbelievable. We're not married to him now. You're espoused to him. Paul said it in 2 Corinthians 11. I, I betrothed you to one husband, but it's a betrothal. This is the Jewish idea. It's a betrothal. It's a time we ought to be living in righteousness and godliness as we await him who's coming, right? And we'll marry him in the future. How many brides are thinking about other men when they're in the process of a year out, three months out. Her whole life has been geared toward Prince Charming. And guys, this is what the Lord wants us to do. To live life is such a way in this age that we're letting go of lesser lovers. We're letting the inferior pleasures die because we have a pleasure and a prince that's coming. It's going to be so glorious, guys. The marriage supper is here and we will not be married little bit, quote, unto that time. And if that's weird to you, yeah, that we're the bride and he's the groom. I don't even understand how can man, how can we as men be the bride? It's because he's the groom. That's all very reconfigure. So anybody got imports on that? He thoughts. Marriage supper. All right, let's move to it. Well, the very fact that it's called the marriage supper. And that is pretty clearly in the future. Even Matthew 22, 1 through 14, Jesus is telling somewhat of a parable on this whole reality, just going to reread that again. It's around this whole idea of a future marriage covenant that's coming. Okay. What else is going to happen in the kingdom? There's going to be something called, and guys, listen, this ought to sober you, Josiah. Dang, this ought to sober you. Each of us, that there is a judgment seat of Christ coming, and I gave you about a dozen scriptures, and I'd encourage you to work through them. Now listen to me, the judgment seat of Christ is for the righteous believers. It is not a judgment against you in terms of your past sins. Those are under a crucified Messiah, under the blood. The judgment seat of Christ will be, we'll stand before Him face to face. This is the one who's coming with flames in His eyes, Revelation 19. We're going to stand before Jesus in some capacity. I don't even know what this looks like. And I don't know if this is like before the marriage supper, after the marriage supper. I don't know. Nobody has real insight in what all that's how that's going to unfold. I'm just presenting to you some of the things we're going to stand before the judgment. It's called the Bema seat. We're going to stand, again, that gave you about a dozen scriptures, and the idea, all the way from the old into the New Testament, God's going to recompense men, reward men according to their deeds. The righteous will be at the judgment seat at the front end of the Messianic Kingdom, because the way we live in this age has continuity, and we'll transfer over into the age to come. And the way we walk and the way we live, and according to our deeds in this age, will be connected to what kind of assignments you have doing the thousand year Messianic Kingdom. And I want to have a great assignment in the age to come. And Jesus would say, "Wow, have you stewarded this age?" Because it has continuity in the age to come. That's for real. And I'd encourage you to look at that and think through it. Now, there's also a great white throne judgment. That's in Revelation 20, after the thousand years, where it's a second resurrection of the wicked, and they will be resurrected. They will be judged at the white throne judgment according to their evil deeds, and then they will be cast alive into the lake of fire. So reread that according to Revelation 20, 11 to 15. Can you flesh out the difference between passons being not counted against us on judgment day, but then the way we lived out. Yeah, kind of hushed that out a little bit. Well, one of the reasons is because everywhere you see recompense judgment, see, it's always about deeds. So deeds meaning, how will God hold me accountable to my past sins if they're under the blood? And I'm really forgiving of them. This is, I think this is the logic. And man, I'm open. Like if some brothers have more to say about this, let's talk about it. Because this is a surreal man. But I think one of the reasons is because all through Jesus' teachings even Paul, it was about their deeds. So like the active things that they're doing. I think, I think it would be the way you lived in righteousness. I think it will be according to assignments. So let me give you a couple ideas. Okay, you remember in the context of the Olivet Discourse, Jesus has just talked these realities, and he gets to chapter 25, and he says, hey, there's a master who gave to his servants. He gave one five talents, another two, and another one. And he went away. It's like, right? He is sending back to heaven. And then it says, when the master comes, he's going to be looking forward. He entrusted to the man he gave five talents. That man doubled his talents. He says, well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the kingdom of your master. To one man, he gave two talents. He doubled. And he has four now. But to one man, he gave one talent. He went and buried his talents, thinking that the master was a cruel master. And Jesus says to him, the part was, I don't know if he used the word, the part, but away from you, into gnashing and weeping in gnashing. Weeping in gnashing of teeth, which is a picture of future ghana. And I'm like, oh God, like a fire. And all I'm saying is that in that context, it was what did God entrust to you, whether it be talents, maybe it's its treasures, talents, maybe it's maybe it was an assignment. And brother, at Elon University, you poured yourself out. And man, you were berated many times. And they thought you were crazy for standing for Christ in such a multicultural wicked society. But man, you stood the test and you were willing to work through the rid of you and do what was right in the eyes of the Lord. Regardless of other men and what they said, this that's kind of thing that we stood for the Lord Jesus. And in that day, I mean, even the way that Jesus says this, if you deny me before me and I'll deny you before my father. So it's this idea that, now I'm just throwing out some balls as to what those deeds might be. If anybody got more thought, though, if you got more insight, I'll keep it around. Yeah, I'm a little confused because I think the question camera was asking, like, what is this different judgment independent of like salvation? But the example you gave trying to explain the deeds that we would be judged for ended up in not entering the kingdom. Well, there's one but the one that did not stoop. Yeah, but that's kind of more like this is your assignment, right? And so there's a little, there's a little confusion there in my mind, at least. I don't know if it's called that. You talk about the one that was given a talent? Yeah, because if you're trying to give examples of things that would be judged on that day of believers, then it wouldn't be someone that didn't end up being a believer. Yeah, it's a very difficult passage. I had a dear brother that is pastoring. He actually texted him about that passage about a couple of weeks ago and we literally spent some some serious time talking through it. I don't have a resolve on it because it's tough, but there are four parables used in the element discourse and they all connected to stewardship and how we stewarded things in this age. Even the sheep in the goats, which is the last one, you know, how do we take care of our Jewish brother in their time of trouble? That's the context of Matthew 25, 31 to 46, like when Jews are in tribulation and persecution, did we stand with them as body of believers or did we not receive them when they were in prison and they needed food? How did we treat the Jew at the end of the age? That's the context of that passage and he says I will separate the sheep from the goats in light of that and I want if this is some of that could be some of that judgment. See, I think there's a lot of clarity here because I think the script is a little bit loose and it's difficult to interpret some of these things, but I do know it's a reality. There is a judgment seat coming and we will be judged on the basis of our deeds. That's the word and I think deeds will be distinct from our past sins. That's just, I'll put that before you think about it, maybe meditate on it, let's spend some time. More? Anybody? I'm using my own foot. It almost feels like when I've thought about this topic and the scriptures, it seems fuzzy because I think we've created such clear fat categories about sin forgiveness and salvation and the mind of the ancient Jews person didn't work in this category. So we go with our categories of sin forgiveness and all that and we go to the scriptures looking for it. It almost seems a little fuzzy because it's like I'm not quite seeing this category like I want to but it is there sin forgiveness and I just, maybe it's not quite as clear. I think what is clear is live with the humble repentant heart, strive for holiness and do righteousness before the Word. Amen. And whatever deeds are there, we'll have to work through and deal with. I do hope that regardless and that we would live, this will create some sobriety in us in terms of how we're walking and living. Whether it be moral, a sinful issue or whether it be according to assignment, I think in some measure all this is going to come into account. But I really, I'm just thinking out loud like, "Man, I was a hell-yun in Rebellion, a young old old man, like until I was 18 years old." And I'm like, "Am I going to be judged for the way I walked in lived when those things are now under that blood?" And I'm walking free of those things that when it's healthy and bondage, I feel freedom. And that's just my point. I'm just asking that question. Paul, are you pretty clear of it now? Yeah. So anyway, man, just, hey, this is maybe one of those that, "Hey, tweak me. Let's all tweak each other. Let's work through this a bit. Let's read on this subject a little bit more, okay?" But just know this. There is a judgment scene coming. And it's distinct at the, I believe the beginning of the message and at kingdom. And it's distinct from the white throne judgment of Revelation 20. That's very clear. These are two distinct judgments. One for the righteous and the others for the wicked, okay? And one is at the first resurrection and the second is at the second resurrection regarding the righteous versus quote the wicked. So, yes, eh? What's the point of judging the wicked if they all receive the same punishment in the end? That's a great question, man. But, what was that? Let's say it again. They're all going to the same place. Let's, I tell you what, before we answer anything, let's at least read the passage and then see if there's anything there that might help us, okay? Somebody read Revelation 20 verses 11 through 15. Great question, man. Let's keep this around a bit. Revelation 20 verses 11. Again, 11 through 15. Dang, read that verse. Now guys, keep in mind, this is a time I believe John is laying some things out to us in Revelation 20. And I believe you kind of put a bow on some things regarding the thousand years versus this age and the age to come. I believe that. That's where I stand with it. But, dang, this is after the thousand years, Satan will be released from a place of the abyss where he's been chained there for a thousand years by an angel. He'll be released. And somehow he will rise up and gather some people from the region of Western Turkey, God of May, that region. And in some way they're going to come back down upon Israel again and then God will just hammer them and they'll put them out by fire. But it's after that time, Satan will be thrown into the light of fire and then comes this passage. Okay? 11 to 15. Revelation 21 and 11 to 15. Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence, earth and sky, flow away and no place was found for them. I saw the dead and great and small standing before the throne. The books were open. Then another book was open, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books according to what they had done. And the sea gave up and the dead who were in it. Dead, death and hideous gave up the dead who were with who were in them. And they were judged each one of them according to what they had done. Then death andities were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone, anyone's name was not written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. We've got any theologians that can make sense of that, man. Feel free. Whoo! So I'm just saying, I think it's good to read that and to begin to try to think through what Zach was asking. Well, if we take it straight forward, it kind of seems like people are judged different. And according to books, and according to deeds. Jesus actually mentions good where it is, but such and such would receive a harsher punishment. This other person will receive a softer punishment. I was talking to a friend of Anis who's Brit and he's super thoughtful. And we were talking about this. He's a, I think, like an annihilationist kind of perspective. But we were like, I was like, well, we were talking about how does all this work? And the way he said it was essentially, God will, if everybody is just like poof done burned out, there's no eternal conscious torment, which maybe there is, but that was his view. And you can disagree with that part. But he said, either way, God will punish each person with an amount of punishment and for a length of time that is necessary for the amount of unrighteousness that they did in their life. And what he was getting at is that even if the end result is all the same, there is a scale of punishment that each person will receive. When or where, how that works, I don't know, but that will be just according to the way that they live their lives. Outside of Christ, of course. Now, if you are a eternal conscious torment, then it's just like what everybody is just suffering the same thing. If you are a eternal conscious torment, I suppose there could be layers of punishment or even duration, but then we get into preparatory. Get the Dante to the levels. I think a bigger point maybe that you're bringing up is if that's redundant, then surely everybody burning in hell right now. Why would you resurrect them and put them back? So I think that's what really challenged your view of, are you going to go to heaven or hell in this moment? And I think when you lose eschatology, you don't have any expectation for a coming kingdom and righteousness and actually a judgment. And I think in one connection, you can challenge me on this, but so when the rest, when Satan's freed and the rest of the world comes up against the kingdom of God, like Messiah doesn't do anything about that, like fire from heaven, from the Father finishes that. And I think that anger ignites the fire of going outside the city, the dead are resurrected and they're thrown into there. I kind of like that view of like the punishment fits the crime, but the crime or the punishment is bigger no more. And yeah, I hold to that a little bit, like the scriptures are very, if we're going to go back and try to get the original meaning, like the dead are no more, like the way Jesus sends death, it's not this prolonged state of torment. But I just want to pull that part out, like that challenges where our view is now. Does that make sense? Like this part is redundant. There is scripture that does say that the smoke of the torment goes up first. The smoke does. The smoke of the torment. The smoke does. Now what I'm going to do now. Now the last verse in Isaiah 66 also, with the warm does not, you know, these kinds of ideas that would have been prominent in Jewish mind in the first century, even with Jesus. So the warm does not, there's a sense of even the warm with eternal torment, you know, it's like, and we know Satan and his angels. And it says the Antichrist and the false prophet will be there. So I'm like, you know what I mean? Like, like Revelation 20 verse, verse 10 says, he talks about Satan and we know Satan and his angels will be thrown, but also where the false prophet and the Antichrist will be called, of course, to human beings. So again, I'm not arguing for again, that's not a relationism, verses. I'm a very, very child that is very simple, basic answer. I'm not sure if this is what you were looking for, but obviously God is a God of justice. And so you can't be convicted unless you go before the judge. You have an arrangement, you have a date, where you're going to meet the judge, regardless of whether you're guilt or not, the gavel is going to be slammed, right? And God is a God of justice and he's a God of recompense, he's going to make things right. And so if you've got 100% guilty slight, it doesn't matter, he's still going to go before the judge. So that's kind of where where I come from it. So there will be every single human being on the history of this planet, including Satan in and of everybody's going to be judged. So I think we also think of it like when we die, we have a like immediate personal judgment day. And that's not really how it works. Everybody is waiting until a day when they stand for the judge. And you're right, Bob, that you do have to go before the judge. And even the gavel, even like the Hebrews 9, there's a porting a time of death for every man and then comes the judgment. So there's an appointment of death unless there's an end time and there will be any time people on the earth, right, that will not die, but be translated or called up in the twinkling of an eye, which is really interesting. So the fact that there is a reality of death, there is a reality. And one of the issues about death is, man, there would be no death in the earth except that there was sin in the beginning, right. And because of sin comes death and God promised death. In the day you eat of the tree, you shall surely die, right? So anyway, that's a lot there, man. Let's move on. But sad factor or not, I hope that it helped a little bit. And man, you know, sometimes brother's profound thought and questions that come up. And hey, we try to, we try to scratch it certain things and don't have clarity on certain things. But I hope there's even some passages. Maybe you guys work to them a bit, might be helpful. Okay. Let's move into this larger subject now, which is at the bottom of page two. There's a future messianic temple and the glory of the Lord will be a Jerusalem. And so let's talk about this just for a moment. Let me set this up for y'all just to consider, not necessarily consider, I'm saying like this is, this is teaching of the other passages. But I want to encourage you in your quiet time tomorrow morning. Because, but I really want you to do this at some point. Take Ezekiel 34 and read all the way through to Ezekiel 48. Okay. As a long, I thought you said 39. Yeah. Well, here's why because Ezekiel 34, Jesus is going to be judging the rulers of Israel because they did not steward the sheep rightly. Is it? Yeah. Is it your 34 to Ezekiel 48? Now, is Ezekiel 34? Jesus is judging the rulers of Israel because of the way they did not take care of the sheep and then Jesus starts at the end of Ezekiel 34, he's talking at the restoration of Israel. Ezekiel 35 is a judgment against Mount Zaire, which is this region of Edom. Okay. Ezekiel 36 is connected to God sanctifying his name in that day. And then again, you have the regathering and the restoration of Israel. Is Ezekiel 37. There's an army of bones rising up, right. And we love singing that song like man with a church and an army of, you know, rising up, man of bone, whatever. But we guys, the context of Ezekiel 37 is the resurrection. Okay. So it's not an army rising up now. It's an eschatological army and resurrection of the dead. Regathering of Israel, Ezekiel 36, resurrection of Israel, Ezekiel 37. 38 is Antichrist, God of May, God. And then 39 is the crushing of the Antichrist by Messiah, Jesus. And the end of Ezekiel 39 is the glory of Israel and the Messianic Kingdom. So I'm just saying, reread 34 to 39. You're like, whoa, man. And then all of a sudden, the grand finale is Ezekiel 40 to 48 is the Messianic temple. And it is the temple that Jesus will come back and build alongside of others. And we'll see this in a minute. Re-read Zacharias 6 because it's Jesus is going to rebuild the temple. Then it's like, no, there'll be people, even from the nations that have come, going to come and help rebuild the temple. Which one is it? It's going to be both. So Jesus is going to be involved in rebuilding his own temple. And if you want to call it the third temple, you can call it that because the temple that will be built by the Jews is not God's temple. It's, it's their temple. The third temple will be the Messianic temple on that temple now complex that Jesus will lead the house of prayer, Isaiah 56. You don't want to, Jesus says, my house should be out for prayer for all nations. He's quoting, he's quoting Isaiah 56, which is an eschatological rally. Jesus will be a king and a priest on his throne, Andrew Ruslam. And he will be leading the house of prayer. The nations will be streaming up. And that temple complex is going to be like, you can go to begin reading the dimensions of it. Is it your 40 to 48? Is this Messianic kingdom? Which is the temple? Within which Jesus will have a throne and he will sit on that throne with the apostles judging the 12 tribes of Israel. But Jesus will be reigning and ruling over the nations of the earth from that throne in his Messianic temple. That's the bigger idea. So he's again, is he your 40 to 48? I encourage you to read it as an eschatological temple. It's a future temple. It's the Messianic temple. That makes sense. You may not have a thought or a question about that. And we'll just look at some of the things that's going to happen as Jesus sets up his kingdom and like begins to build his temple. Dang, Bach. Thank you, brother. All right, let's just highlight a few things real quick. And then because it's already a derrick. All right, let's just read. Okay, Bob Page 2. Messiah Jesus will give the throne of David. You see this. I'll do the scriptures as promised to him. And he will sit on his glorious throne. Top of Page 3. Messiah Jesus will lead the house of prayer for all nations. He'll be exalted over all nations from Jerusalem. Middle Page 3. Jesus will be king over all the earth from Jerusalem. Here's a big one man. And I encourage you to read these notes again. The river of life will flow from the temple in Jerusalem. And it says that again, you can reread all these passages from Joe 3 to Ezekiel 47 to Revelation 22. But it says this. There's going to be a river that's going to flow out of Jesus in the Messianic complex. There's going to be a river that's going to flow out from Jerusalem. And it says it's going to go out to the eastern and the western sea. My understanding and you have to work through it, but I believe it will be this river will go out toward the Mediterranean sea and to the Dead Sea. And the Dead Sea will come alive again. And here's the bigger picture. It says along that river will be trees that will bear fruit every single month. So therefore the healing of the nations and many, even some strong brothers I've discussed this with over the years, it looks like even we, with resurrected bodies, eating from those trees will be connected to perpetuating life. You say, what? Think about this. God gave multiple trees in the Garden of Genesis 2 and 3. And he simply said this, eat from any of the trees. But there was a tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that we've been eating from for six millennia. And these trees of life will be what we'll eat from in the Kingdom. What does that mean? What does that look like? I don't know. I do know that trees bear fruit once a year in this age. But Jesus is trees from the flow of life that's going to come from Jerusalem. And these two rivers and these trees are going to produce every single month. And that fruit will be for the healing and the leaves will be for the healing of the nations. I don't know what that means. I don't know what that looks like. I just noticed it's the grand finale and it's going to be glorious. Amen. It's going to be beautiful. Amen. So just keep that in mind, man. And there's a bunch of passages that we are through out there that you can look at. Jesus, beside Jesus, Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom. On top of page 5, Jesus will possess the Promised Land alongside of Abraham. Look at the Matthew 8/11, top of page 5. I say to you, many will come from the East and the West and recline at the table with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the Kingdom of Heaven. You're like, are you serious? You're told by Adam and his family go walk up and have a discussion with Abraham. You can't what I'm saying. I want to get with David, man. I got to talk to that dude. I've been watching House of David. I don't know if y'all have seen that on Amazon Prime. You know, they take liberties. But it's pretty cool, man. Just to think how things might be, you know, a war, but who do you want? Grab on. You know, hang out with Grandpa. Yeah, we want to look upon him, right? I want to see him, my hero. Right. I want to see him face to face. But there's some other people I want to see it. We do exactly what Joe, Joe. And maybe that character that just pierced your heart over the years that helped you stay the course to inherit the term life. That's what we're going to go find. Anyway, Jerusalem to the ends of the earth will feel with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord righteousness and justice will be in Jerusalem among the nations. Hey, middle page five, peace and prosperity of Zion, Jerusalem. Look at that last word. No more war. What? They will take their plow. They will take their weapons and beat them into plowshares. In other words, he said, the land will be plant this again because it will be turned to an Eden state. And, you know, way, you can look at all multiple, multiple passages. They will hammer their swords into plowshares, their spears and pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up the sword against nation and never again will they train for war. In other words, wars will cease in the thousand-year kingdom. And here's the other beautiful thing, Matt Smolley. Man, the devil is in the abyss for a thousand years. He's already dealt with the divine beings, the gods. He cleans the heavens when he comes at a second coming. And some measurement, he will actually, I don't know what it looks like with demons. But in other words, the dark forces of this age will be bound and we will have some sense of just incredible freedom in this kingdom. I don't know. I just know there will be no war and you know most all war fair and sighted by some kind of conflict and who's the master of conflict and division. In fact, he'll be born, he'll be bound. This is why there will be no war conflict. Another biggie biggie is the bottom page five. There will be peace, non-accretion among people and the animal kingdom. So I can read that bottom four and four. I see what that means. Read that first, Bob. Okay. Bottom page five, Isaiah 11, 6, 2, 3. I'm sorry, where are we? Oh yeah, okay. Am I reading a little adult? Yeah. Oh, it's other one. Okay. And the wolf will dwell with the lamb and the leopard will lie down with his young goat and the calf and the young lion will and the fatling together and a little boy will lead them. Also, the cow will bear with the will bear with grace. Their young will lie down together and the lion leads straw like an ox. The nursing child will play with the hole of the cobra and the wean child will put his hand in the viper's den. They will not hurt or destroy in all of my holy mountain. For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. Then in all that day the nations will restore to the root of Jesse who will stand as a signal for the people and his resting place will be glorious. So just the animosity of the animal kingdom that only came. You know, animosity in the animal kingdom came because of the curse, Genesis 3. That curse will be lifted and there will be no animosity. Lions will not be eating sheep. They will be eating and grazing on straw grass again. So anyway, you just get a bit of the feel of even the earth as Bob said, Romans 8 is growing for his return. Even the animal kingdom will come into suggestion to righteousness just in peace in that day and even human beings, man, that will not be manipulated by evil during that time. There will still be some things going on. We know that, but man, there's just an interesting beautiful thing about a thousand years that's coming. And again, this is why we cry Maranatha Commodius. Because when he comes, he judges the wicked around the surrounding nations of Israel. He sets up his kingdom and righteousness, justice and peace will go out to the nations of the earth because it will be under righteous leadership of Jesus. So some believe, of course, that, you know, like your assignment in this age and the way we handle things may be the continuity and the carryover might be that you were faithful to stew or a church pastor. He's going to give you a city in the age to come. That kind of thing. Jesus will have righteous leadership over the nations of the earth during this time. So what's that going to look like? Because he's judging kings in the day of his wrath. So there will be the replacement of evil kings with good righteous kings. You just say what I'm saying? So Jesus is going to rule the nations from Jerusalem, but he never does it by himself. He always partners with humans to accomplish his purposes. And we will be with him in some capacity, fulfilling that role. Whatever that means, it looks like I don't know fully. I don't think the scriptures completely teach us, but we just talk about it a bit, think through it a little bit, and just keep in mind. It's going to, the best is yet to come. How about that? You know, the last thing that he has heard, you know, the Lord has prepared for those who love him. So anyway, guys, there's a lot there. I know, and Bob, thank you for showing me your watch, because I would have no idea what that was. Amen. We may, I don't know if all y'all commit to coming back next week now. I was just going to say we may do one week of like an evening of eschatology. And there's just fire questions at each other and just talk openly about some of what we dealt with over these eight weeks. So we might do that next week, and bottom line, we always subject ourselves to God's leadership. And so I don't know what next week's going to look like, but it'll be good. And we may start some series on Holy Spirit, but I want to, I want to really discern, do we, do we need to take a week to maybe just talk to some things? And you know, there's, there's no agenda. We just come together and just fire some questions back to the peace covenant or something about the great tribulation. Hey, man, how's thing about this about Jesus said, come man, we then, you know, and then we can all just kind of chime in a bit. So Amen. Father, we thank you for your word. And I want to ask you tonight, God, things that will clear that we would have conviction around those, but God, things that are unclear. Then God, we ask you that you would give us light and give us counsel and wisdom and revelation about Holy Spirit. So we thank for, Lord, I pray that you would take this, this teaching tonight and these ideas, these truths around your coming kingdom, Lord Jesus. And they would be strengthening us for to find us in our faith and God, give us the surety of a coming hope and a coming Messiah, a coming kingdom that will not end, that will endure forever. And so Lord, Jesus, we look for you, we wait for you, we watch and pray for you to come. Give us endurance and strength, Lord, in light of the unfolding trouble that precede your coming. But I thank you for these men that we can just sit and think and talk around these ideas together, God, we just pray again, Lord, make these things real to us. And Lord, let them have a sense of life changing influence and impact upon us. In the way we walk and live now in Jesus' name, we pray. Amen. Summary:

FAQs

The Messianic Kingdom is a future thousand-year reign of Jesus Christ from Jerusalem, following His second coming, where He will restore the earth to an Eden-like state.

The universal kingdom refers to God's current sovereign rule over heaven and earth, while the Messianic Kingdom is a future, physical reign of Jesus on earth after His return.

The 'regeneration' refers to the future restoration of the earth to its original Edenic condition, akin to a new Genesis, when Jesus returns and establishes His kingdom.

From an Old Testament Jewish perspective, the kingdom is viewed as a future, physical reign of the Messiah from Jerusalem, not a present spiritual reality, which clarifies many New Testament passages.

Psalm 110 describes Jesus currently seated at the right hand of the Father, waiting until His enemies are made a footstool, after which He will return to establish His kingdom on earth.

The thousand-year period is a transitional kingdom where Jesus restores all things, rebuilding from the desolation of the tribulation, before the eternal state begins.
