This episode of the Geeky Sexual and Intellectual podcast features a deep dive into three Reddit stories that explore complex emotional and ethical dilemmas. The first story centers on a man who was cheated on by his wife, and the discussion concludes that he is not the asshole—she broke her vows and left him, and he has no obligation to reconnect. The second story addresses how to find a man with good sex skills, highlighting the importance of emotional connection, mutual pleasure, and clear boundaries, with advice that prioritizes personal well-being over performance. The third story involves a young woman who must decide whether to reveal her sister’s repeated infidelities to her brother-in-law, with the consensus that honesty is morally right, even if it risks family conflict. The narrative emphasizes emotional maturity, self-respect, and the dangers of enabling toxic relationships. The episode concludes with a powerful warning about therapist-client boundaries, stressing that any sexual involvement with a therapist is unethical, illegal, and must be reported. Throughout, the tone is candid, emotionally grounded, and rooted in real-life experiences, offering listeners clear guidance on navigating love, betrayal, and personal boundaries.
Hey y'all, this is your girl Q and welcome back to another episode of Geeky Sexual and
Intellectual episode 29 I believe. This is being recorded after and posted Christmas hopefully
before the new year so I want to say merry belated Christmas to all of you. I hope you
got everything you ever wanted. I hope you're in good health and you enjoyed your family and
friends during the holiday season. I got a wonderful full week off from work, no emails,
no calls, so I was living my best life this week and I go back in on Monday so
y'all know how I feel. So let's get into it. This episode, this is going to be one of our
shows that is categorized like Reddit reviews. So if you all don't know Reddit, I know a lot
of people know what Reddit is but some people don't. I had an account about like four years
ago, really didn't use it so I got back into it because I be bored at work and I've been
reading that shit like it's Lifetime or BET or what's that other channel? One.
Because it is juicy. It is just as juicy as reality TV shows. So I be reading these stories
and I'm like this is wild. I know, you know, my opinion ain't everything but I got something to
say about this so I'ma do it. So led me to, I wanted to read some of the posts that I found
on Reddit and then give my take on it and my opinion and my advice to OP, the original poster.
So here we go. Let's get into it. Okay, so the first story I will be reading was found on
wouldibetheasshole_public. This was posted by the user amazinghole, a-hole. So the title
is would I be the asshole for ghosting my wife? So my snap judgment is like, it's not
a girlfriend, it's a wife. So automatically, yes, you are the asshole. But let's, you know,
read what they posted to get some clarification and then we'll see if I change my vote on
if they're an asshole. So they write, I know you're gonna say it's fake and that you saw
this on Harm or Christmas movie and I'm right there with you. Honestly, I wouldn't believe
it either if it didn't happen to me. So if you can't believe it, then just pretend and
give me advice anyway, like I'm a real person because I am. It says, I, 32 male, met Sarah,
30 female, in grade school in our small town. She was my first everything, girlfriend, love,
and eventually wife. We both went to college together and after I graduated, we got married
when I was 23 and she was 21.
So I got married when I was 22 and she was 21. So I got married when I was 23 and she
was 21. So I got married when I was 23 and
she was 23 and she was 23 and she was 23 and she was 23 and she was 23 and she was 23 and she was 21. Sarah was still finishing her degree and I worked hard to support both of us while she completed her studies. When she got her first job, I was proud of her. I felt like all of our sacrifices and hard work were paying off and I thought we were on our way to building a life together. For two years, everything seemed fine, or at least I thought so. Then one day, I came home from work and found her packing a bag. She sat me down and she told me she had been having an affair with a co-worker. I was completely oblivious.
She was crying and apologetic. She said she loved me but was in love with the co-worker. And they had this chemistry and a deep connection and that she never felt this level of excitement and attachment with me. Girl, let me not get my
girl, let me not get my
girl, let me not get my
girl, let me not get my
girl, let me not get my
girl, let me not get my
at first, but I went to see a therapist and got on some meds. I got some certifications and through
a friend from college, I got an interview with a global consulting company. My friend was married
and couldn't do the amount of travel that the job required. So he pushed me hard for me to apply for
the position. I started traveling around the world and pretty much worked all the time at first. On
any given day, I was either in the gym working or having a virtual therapy session at 3am. I was a
dull boy. I got into incredible shape thanks to lifting and running. Eventually, I got a long-term
project in Romania and was able to meet and have relationships with women. Fast forward a few years.
Recently, I had a few weeks of vacation saved up and went to spend Christmas in, I'm gonna jack
this name up, Reykjavik, Iceland. I went to my parents' place in my hometown for Thanksgiving
with my sister and brother. Last Thursday, I was at the local independent drugstore
in what passes for downtown in my hometown. It was a lunch counter like an old-fashioned
drugstore. I got a cup of coffee and sat down at the counter drinking it when Sarah sat down
beside me and said, hello. Okay. She was super nervous and red in the face. I was shocked and
I just sat there looking at her. I was exploding inside, but I kept my cool on outside. She was
still beautiful. She was actually very fit herself and had lost her baby face and became,
more became maybe even more beautiful. She started off by apologizing for the way she ended our
marriage. I told her she had already apologized like a hundred times when she dumped me, but she
insisted that she was young and stupid. And over time, she realized how much she had hurt me. She
wanted to meet me later in a less crowded spot with fewer spies, quote, quote, unquote, a small
town. Remember? I shook my head no and told her frankly that I didn't see what I could possibly
get out of meeting with her again. Uh,
that kind of took me took kind of took the wind out of my sails and she kind of deflated. She admitted
that it was probably more for her than for me. Um, she said that I'd get closure, not only for how
she ended things, but for the kind of person she was back then. She wanted to, she wanted to tell
me about how she changed and what she learned about herself and what real love is. She wanted
me to see that the person she became is someone that I could respect and maybe be friends with
again. Lordy. I wanted,
to get the hell out of there. I know that's right. So I just told her, I think about it. She gave me
her number and I went home. Apparently my mother and sister had already heard about it from Sarah's
mom. What the? Okay. Let me get back to it. So I'm a big, dumb victim of some kind of big,
dumb Hallmark Christmas movie. Hit job. My sister, 29 female and mom, 55 female told me that they
kept up with Sarah since our divorce and they know she's changed and that she, wait a minute,
told me that they kept up with Sarah since our divorce and they know she's changed and that she,
and that I should hear, hear her out. My dad, 56 male, just shook his head and walked out. I'm with
you, sir. Let's get us some beers and go in the front seat. I mean the front, uh, the front living
room. Cause they own some shit with old boy and his ex wife. Okay. Um, my brother, he's 22 male
thought all of this was hilarious. I would too. I'm either with the father or the brother, but
definitely not with the mother and the sister. I asked if he wanted to chime in and he just shrugged
his shoulders and said that since Sarah and I knew each other, um, from when we were kids, I should
at least hear her out just to keep the peace between our families since we live in a small
town. Ah, okay. I'm off the brother's team because fuck that. Um, let's see who, and this is a long
one. I should have told y'all that personally, I do think that her family would feel insulted
if I didn't at least talk to her. I know for a fact that she's living with her parents now.
So it seems like her life completely, uh, went to shit. I'm sorry. Completely
shit the bed. That's his phrasing better. Um, I kind of like to get the gory details,
as maybe a form of, uh, short of Freudian. I think that's what that is, but it's all behind me now.
And I think it would all just make me sad. Um, I guess I'm a better man now than, uh, that I'm
more mature, more wealthy and fitter than I was when I was with her, but I'm still the same guy
that she didn't have chemistry or connection with back in the day. So I think whatever comes
out of her mouth would be bullshit. I think she's probably a dungeon cosplayer. What? She's probably
a dungeon cosplayer as a princess and wants me to be her white knight. Fuck that. I know that's
right, dude. Um, my mom and sister are pushing hard for me to meet her. And my mom says that
she's afraid if I don't at least hear Sarah out, that Sarah's mom will resent her and make her
social life more complicated. Oh, that's a whole nother story. Like why are you even friends with
this woman? If you think she'll do some shit like that. Anyway, back to the story. Let me make it
very beautiful, but so are the women in Romania, Iceland and elsewhere. Uh, and they have the added
bonus of not breaking my heart. I'm interested in going just to hear
about what happened to her after she dumped me and to smooth things over for my folks what do
you think reddit should i go i kind of want to talk me down off the ledge would i be the
asshole if i ghosted my ex-wife so i am going to revise my original statement of that he's the
asshole he is definitely not the asshole your mama your sister your little brother your ex-wife's
family and for definition your ex-wife for all the assholes sarah just say you're uh you sorry
and let that be that that where i re-invite this back into this man's life what if he had a little
bit of hope for y'all to get back together after these years and you reigniting it but now that
you're older you can see what you lost like girl move on and op just need to stick to his guns and
leave that woman alone just say hey you know i'm glad we cleared the air um i'm glad you're doing
well even though he thinks her life is shit the bed that's it looks different to everybody
you know
just because she's living with her parents like it was the fucking pandemic a lot of people went
back home because money bitch but yeah like no this is this is not a necessary thing you don't
have to continue to know people in your life that have hurt you continue to hurt you you didn't get
your quote-unquote uh closure with just move on if you've healed yourself he went he had he went
to get therapy he went and got this degree he's traveling all over the world your life is better
divorce don't always have to be something bad it can be lead to something better um and i know i
know i've been through a lot but i'm just thinking about my own situation my first marriage was dumps
the fire and if i wouldn't let that go i wouldn't have what i have today my daughter my wonderful
husband my cute little life i got going on so no op let her go and your mama gonna have to fend for
her own because what kind of power do sarah mama got in this town that she can mess up your mama's
social life like okay wicked witch like that's what it's giving let's see what the comments have
okay one commenter said not the asshole she can write you a letter she can leave a voice message
she can keep apologizing because
she wants you to forgive her to ease her guilt and conscience that is definitely right girl like
just you keep saying sorry over and over again sorry is words you said it he got it there's no
way to show him that you're sorry because y'all leave separate lives now if y'all would stay
together you could change your habits and that would show him that you were physically sorry but
yeah move on okay next commenter says not the asshole meeting with her gives gives her closure
you've already done the work to move past her you've gotten your closure here's the facts she
violated the vow
that she took by cheating definitely she then abruptly just left and moved right in with the
other person yeah they have been planning that shit you just don't move in with somebody um
she's now living with her parents we don't know what happened there but it's over exactly like i
said now she wants to meet with you to catch up on her life grovel and apologize some more so that
she feels better don't do it you owe her nothing she can work on herself and get her own closure
you don't need to help her do that i know that's right they wrote a whole that's
a whole uh point period statement i would live by this uh op don't don't do nothing different than
what this person said okay the next commenter says tell your mom and sister to meet up with her and
they can report back to you if you want the details you have better or more important things
to do than worry about like what color shirt to wear on the plane to iceland i think i read that
weird but basically they say you got other things to worry about like what color shirt to wear on
the plane to iceland back to some new women
i know that's right i know that's right um let's see next comment just says so she actually split
up with her husband like yeah that's why she's living with the parents you're not context clues
go back and read the whole damn long ass post okay so the last comment i'm gonna read it says
jesus christ stop being a people pleaser oh i could put a lot of p's on this mic stop being
a people pleaser and do what's best for you not your parents or her parents ghost her and tell
her mother and tell your mother and sister to respect your wish to never be a people pleaser
bring her up again you are an adult and at least you're supposed to be draw the line and for once
stand up for yourself but then again your mother and sister have your number since you state that
you want to talk to her or what whatever okay so the last part lost me but yes tell your mama and
sister to kick rocks they can go see if they want to see so bad because they really want you to get
back with her and that's that's a no-go for me okay so moving on the next one comes from um the
next one comes from um the next one comes from um the next one comes from um the next one comes from
it says the title is anyone have tips on how to date men who are good at sex so the post goes as
i am a 40 i am 45 and single i date a lot and so many men are so bad at sex even when i tell and
show them what to do it's like they don't listen or understand or maybe they don't care most of
them are only concerned with immediate piv and getting themselves off has anyone had any success
at figuring out if a man will be a good man or not i don't know i don't know i don't know i don't
be decent in bed before you sleep with him or is it just try it and good luck oh my goodness this
is one of those things like you said you have to try and figure it out but i feel like only one
keynote descriptor that you that i don't know it's still a roll of the dice if they are always
talking about sex and if they always talking about what they gonna do to you and how they
gonna make you feel since i was in my 20s that has always been a key factor to this motherfucker
don't know what he doing in this bed and it's really just like they said a piv a point uh what
what is it penis and vagina and i'm finna get my rocks out real quick i don't care who laying
under me i'm not concerned with how they feeling or getting them off and yeah i don't know i mean
i don't know just wait it out have some people that you have sex with and then hold out for
people that you're serious with i know a lot of men don't like that or think that's like why the
bad guys get all the cookies like but if you're looking for just a good time to just fuck them
if you're not then you know have some discernment with who you're sleeping with but we all out here
just tried to figure it out
i'm glad i'm done playing in that dirty ass pee in the pool as relationship dilemma everybody going
through but yeah i would just you know kuma kuma jets or get your rocks out shit bring a bring a
vibrator in and you know f them shit i don't know let's see what some of the commenters have to say
so the first commenter says i will admit i'm not an expert on your question but when i got married
i knew some very important things about her i knew she was very giving and generous i knew she was
smart and becomes an expert at anything she sets her mind to i knew she was courageous and
hard-working i knew she was fun and enthusiastic about things she loved um before i bore you with
the list of her qualifications and qualities suffice it to say that these are great qualities
in a lover uh yeah they kind of went off on a tangent but i'm saying he took interest in her
so in asex life he probably takes interest in her pleasure as well if this motherfucker not
taking interest in you know you and things that you're doing and you're not taking interest in
what you love and have fashions for he not there for um a long time he's there for a good time
okay so this commenter has a bit of a long post but let's get into it a lot of vetting ahead of
time and being picky i totally agree i look for red flags and conversations that point to selfish
lovers or boundary stompers does the person give oral sex do they ask about what i want during sex
or at least listen when i tell them about it if we sexed do they only talk about sex
scenarios that focus on their pleasure for instance people that want me to give them blowjobs
all day want me to get on top and ride but seem disinterested in giving me oral and don't like
to spend their time on foreplay or other sexual positions that they don't sound like good lovers
i usually pass on them also um i also don't tolerate bad sex if my vetting fails and i meet
someone more organically and things happen and the sex is bad i don't tolerate bad sex
i will attempt to help lead the person to what would work better for me if they don't listen
ignore me try to say i know what i'm doing or anything else that means the sex stays bad then
i won't have sex with them again um shit i would even go as far as to just stop this shit right
there um but she said i won't have sex with them again life is too short to be having bad sex i'd
rather masturbate girl that's a whole word okay and then she put edits uh that she liked to add
i am a very giving and enthusiastic person and i don't want to have sex with anyone else
i am a very enthusiastic lover i am kinky and i give a lot of pleasure to my partner but i do
expect reciprocation uh reciprocal attention as well i totally 100 agree i don't know the age of
this poster because everybody has to come into their sexual prowess or sexual understanding of
self-pleasure uh for themselves and with a partner and it's usually you know around late 30s 40s so
yeah people in their 20s listen listen to that that's some real good advice for any situation
okay this is the last commenter i'm going to give you i'm going to give you a little bit of a
read on this one and it's really good um it says i am a 42 male and i don't indulge in penetration
unless there's a lot of foreplay and the lady has her uh shivering orgasms before i penetrate
this is awesome sir and i know it's a sir he's a 42 male because it takes a female at least um you
know what science says at least 20 minutes to get warmed up revved up wet enough for penetration so
and then it's got to be another 20 minutes to get into a relationship with a man and a woman
to an orgasmic state and not all women orgasm from penetrated sex so your best bet is foreplay you're
gonna definitely get some orgasms from foreplay you definitely gonna get them if you listen because
she know what feels good to her you are not inside of her body sir so yes i applaud this gentleman for
that thank you moving on to the next okay so story number three this one was posted on am i the asshole
asshole am i the asshole underscore would i be the asshole why do i keep i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry
y'all i'm being real silly right now would i be the asshole underscore public okay so the
title of this and it was posted 18 days ago the title of this one is would i be the asshole if i
told my brother-in-law that my sister has cheated on him multiple times throughout their relationship
i need to take a deep breath on this one oh my god oh my god your ass is in the thick of it
into the thick of it okay so let's get into this post oh my god okay so it says for context i am
20 female have an older sister 34 female that has been married twice the first guy was 40s and
her and she got divorced because of their differing personalities and he was kind of an
asshole as soon as she was separated um with her first ex-husband she got with her now husband 32
male for simplicity's sake my sister will be leila her first husband will be todd and her current
husband will be david uh quote unquote they are all they
all have been married for a long time and they have been married for a long time and they have
all have social media and i don't need this to bite me in the ass uh girl it's already biting
you in the ass that you even want anyway let's let's get back about six months intro leila and
david's relationship she cheated on him with a guy that was a friend of my dad's yuck first of all
um he didn't find out but she immediately told my mom and i and kind of bragged about it she's
trash uh this would happen every six months or so where she would find some hot new guy
and either send nudes and sexually talk with them or she would actively have sexual relationships
with them in person david has never found out about any of this when david and leila first met
i was in the seventh grade and obviously couldn't say much because i still lived with my parents and
they refused to say anything i didn't want them to get mad at me so i just never said anything
and you're in the seventh grade that's a lot of fucking pressure okay fast forward six and a half
years later i'm now living in an apartment with my boyfriend and i'm living with my mom and i'm
and he knows the situation with my sister and her current boyfriend um okay so we're talking about
one of her lovers he thinks that now that i'm living on my own that i should say something to
david david just recently found out about my sister talking to her ex-husband since january
for why and they have been quite flirty with each other since then obviously david was super upset
and made her choose between him and todd the ex-husband she chose david and they have been
trying to work it out for the past two weeks however i text david
quite often and he is not doing well with all of this and he doesn't even know the rest of it
shit my boyfriend says that i should say something because david doesn't deserve to be in a
relationship where it's literally built on lies however i don't want to risk the absolute blow-up
of my sister um would cause um if she found out i was the one who told him and not to mention i'm
terrified my parents are gonna flip on me and i'm gonna be the bad guy in the family oh child so
would i be the asshole if i told my brother-in-law that my sister has been cheating more times than
he thinks has happened and do i risk the relationship i have with my parents and
sister by going with what my morals and guts are saying okay so she put an update on here and i'm
gonna read the update before oh jesus wait a minute maybe i should get my my my opinion
child this is a lot okay i i want to say what i think i would do because it's a lot of factors
at play right now
because your family already shit that you think they would cut you off because you want to be a
good person so let me say hypothetically i would tell my brother-in-law because a lot of people
be like he not family he not blood you stick with blood not if your blood is trash water
so i'm like set that man free i mean your sister gonna be mad at you for a very long time if you
if you getting into the thick of it like this your sister gonna be hot as fuck i don't even know she
would ever talk to you again but you're doing that man a disservice by smiling in his face every
holiday and everybody's gonna be like oh my god i'm gonna be mad at you for a very long time
i'm gonna be mad at you for a very long time so i'm gonna be mad at you for a very long time
and everybody else is mad on his face and they know what's going on in his relationship like he
is basically he wearing a ball and chain and don't even know it like this woman out here just
free willy with hers and she could possibly bring back stds bring back some babies bring some men
drama they want to fight on you because they want your woman like let that man go so i'm mad at you
not the asshole sister girl you're not the asshole op your family is the asshole your mother your
sister anybody else that's teaming up with your sister your boyfriend is the goat now the only
thing about your
your
your boyfriend uh y'all plan on getting married because he could be gone tomorrow and girl you
left for nothing but i would say tell your brother-in-law that seems very scary to me
thinking that the repercussion of that would be that your family would cut you loose but god
dog i don't know and you say you've been knowing this man since she was in the seventh grade and
you're in your 20s now like he he might be your family you know just because marriages break up
don't mean your in-laws can be your family no more so he may be your newfound family okay so let's
read this update i talked to my boyfriend and we decided that it would be best if i told david after
my finals quote unquote which end this weekend like i said this was 18 days ago i talked to my
mom and i told her what i was planning on doing and she basically said not to and that her and my
dad would be very upset and that basically they would not be able to control what my sister would
do after she finds out that i was the one that spilled the beans so i guess i'll have another
update this upcoming week wish me luck i can't breathe because there's a
lot of pressure your parents need to be backhanded like i'm gonna tell you right now if she jump on
your motherfucking ass you deserve it and we ain't gonna stop it uh-uh y'all trash y'all letting your
daughter be trash you know what if she was gonna be trash that's you and your journey in life don't
come tell me about your sexual exploits and you married like don't be married like why are you
married to this man i would never understand that men or women that get married and know they not
somebody with that shit like just be single have all the sex partners you want have all the random
sex and uh explorations you want but don't attach somebody else to that because in their mind they
thinking you signed up for the same agreement they did and you're not you never intended to and i
don't i don't think it said how many years they had been married but how many sexual partners have
you had outside of your marriage like is this man not fulfilling you anymore did you think you was
but you really not were you just trying to get married for stability and you'll do whatever else
you have to do in life
to be happy just to keep your stability i don't know chav this man needs uh a woman that's gonna
love him and be committed to him because that's what they both signed up for let's read some of
these comments okay so the first one says if she is big enough pos i don't know what that means to
brag to your mom and your mom is covering for her you have one messed up family 100 does your dad
know that your mom is covering for her i don't want to start a pot anymore than it has to but
i wonder if your mom's attitude is
because she cheated on your dad okay so y'all getting y'all elaborating and build on stories
on top of this is inception at this point a story on top of a story i don't know maybe i think it's
just as simple and basic as this is my child this is my blood i am 100 for them no matter what they
do you know how people say unconditional love i don't know if that's real but that's what she's
saying it's not that serious is my child gonna get hurt she could he could be one of them people
that snap out and kill everybody in the house when he find out his wife been cheating on him for all
these years but hey
i guess you'll figure it out when uh op let this man know this is crazy your family wow the next
commenter says poor bastard deserves to know the truth do him a solid and let him know just damn
i'm the same way oh just let him know so he can be free this is something else okay so here's the
final commenter it's pretty long so here we go um it says your family sounds super toxic uh you are
young and haven't been jaded enough to
want to go no contact but honestly going no contact is for your family i would tell david
he deserves better how to tell him is the challenge you could find a way to tell him if
he's emotionally mature if you tell him you don't want to blow you don't want it to blow up well yeah
you don't want it to blow up your family but also in good faith he needs to find a way to find out
that doesn't implicate you i would tell david he deserves better how to tell him is the challenge
i would suggest he go through her phone her emails etc collect his evidence and then take it to a
lawyer he should be what to say he should be smart and prepared he doesn't need to know um he doesn't
need to let on he knows until he's ready to blow up the marriage if he's smart he'll do this people
are rarely smart i know that's true and so divorce law is different in every state i live in texas
and there's a lawyer that i follow she's a lawyer she's a lawyer she's a lawyer she's a lawyer
she's a podcast and i think she's trying to put together a show with her and her husband
um that's also a divorce lawyer but basically in the state of texas a lot of people think this and
i think it's you know the fault of movies people think whenever they get divorced it's an automatic
50 50 that is not true it depends on a lot of factors so in texas if at any point that the
cheating spouse used money basically they call that uh uh marriage funds or community funds
within the marriage if the cheating spouse used money within the marriage if the cheating spouse
used money if they have used those funds to um uh support their affairs or uh you know like buying
gifts buying trips paying bills that is what the law cares about because the state of texas they
say everybody's cheap everybody cheat what else what else you got they want to know if they were
using marital funds to support their cheating habits if that is a yes oh then you gonna ring
their ass out you're gonna take them to the bank that's what they what
with the, the, the, the, uh, judgment, uh, leans toward.
just money but money did you spend money um so yeah so sometimes a marriage will be uh what is
it 60 40 uh 70 30 it doesn't always be 50 50 so yeah he need to get his documentation and uh go
talk to him a little yeah because you start running your mouth and talking too much in the heat of
anger and i know that's hard to do to like hold it in um but trust me it'll be so sweet the revenge
will be so sweet if you can if you you just oh i just wish he would be he would get the
documentation and just hold on to it um and then serve her ass and it'll be like my lord you're
gonna take your ass to the cleaners bitch because you're nasty you're trifling you're a trollop
and i'm all cool for being a trollop if you're not married and lying to somebody
but oh my god that's that's wild okay so down to our last reddit um post here we go okay so this
post was uh
post
it to stories on reddit um it was posted five months ago hopefully some updates if not i feel
like it's gonna be super juicy because the title is i slept with my therapist oh my god shut it
down jail immediately um okay so here we go i never thought i'd be in this position but here i
am i'm consumed with guilt and honestly a little confused i've been seeing my therapist for about
a year and he specializes in eating disorders which is something i've struggled with for a long
time over time our sessions became more personal and emotional i started with longer eye contact
and his comforting touch on my shoulder after one particular intense section session i he hugged me
for a little too long uh the line began to blur and i started to develop feelings for him one
evening after a deeply personal conversation with my therapist i was able to get a hold of him and i
thought it was just him being kind and supportive but in the back of my mind i honestly hoped he'd
confirm having similar feelings that i had been having we sat closer than usual at one point he
even reached out to hold my hand and i could feel the tension between us he complimented my progress
and told me how proud he was of me and i was able to get a hold of him and i was able to get a hold
of him that's honestly what sent me even further into the intense feeling of lust
his words were soothing and before i knew it we were kissing cringe it felt surreal like a dream
one thing led to another and we ended up going back to his place and sleeping together i know
it was a huge ethical breach and now i'm struggling with my emotions i'm terrified of the consequences
and that i now know that i'm not alone i'm not alone i'm not alone i'm not alone
i'm never good at starting over i don't know what i'm gonna do i just needed to tell someone
girl you never sleep with a therapist i and we all understand you're vulnerable you're telling
them things that you've probably never told anyone it feels like they're hearing you because
they are because they're paid to do that and you feel seen and i know that i don't know but i know
you're a case that probably feels elusive and like it's real connection it's a connection but it
shouldn't be on a sexual connection oh and he took advantage of it oh because he should not be a
therapist because he understands this i know they teach them this because the the attachments that
form during sessions with clients and how you're supposed to nip that shit in the bud because it's
unethical because you can be seen as a seat of power that is taking uh taking advantage of this
vulnerable individual yes find you another therapist because this is not gonna work
because when y'all having relationship issues now you got to go find another therapist and that
therapist is gonna be like how did you all meet and then you're gonna be like um actually the
same way you and i met he was my therapist and she gonna be like to jail uh you lose your license
i'm reporting all of this so baby girl please stop fucking him and go find you a new therapist
it seems like you heterosexual go find you a woman therapist oh my god read some of these comments
okay so the first one bam at the gate as a psychologist please report him that was the first
sentence um it was his job to keep the therapeutic environment safe and instead he made several
decisions to break those boundaries and take advantage of your vulnerability you did nothing
wrong and you deserve safe mental
health care yes i mean she did because she shouldn't have fucked him like this almost like
i don't know child she shouldn't have fucked him he's supposed to be here to help you with your
mental health not your vaginal health oh my god girl you let your feels get too deep and he need
to lose all of his credentials because sir how many other patients have you fucked just because
oh my god i can't believe i mean why do i always say i can't believe i can't believe
because people are horrible and it's like oh there's some uh
low-hanging fruit i'm finna get it i'm finna devour it and you should have just left her fruit
alone so the next commenter is i oh i never thought about this so their comment is question
if the therapist was not a predator even though they are but okay for questions sake if they were
not a predator and did in fact have feelings what should he have done just curious i assume break
off the professional relationship first and then shoot his shot after some time had passed
like no sir he already has information about her mental state and her previous triggers and um her
trauma and the inner workings of her that she has divulged to him he has divulged nothing so no he
can never unlock that door if he feels like he's starting to feel emotional ties to this client
he need to be a professional and cut it off and uh refer her to another therapist another
colleague um and never shoot his shot you never shoot your shot
with your clients i don't care i don't care if it's we stop uh having sessions and i see you
five years from now because guess what you still have personal knowledge of me and my mental health
and i don't need you using it against me in arguments just no it's a no that to your question
no he should just leave it alone okay here's another commenter i know you have feelings and
therapy is a complex thing it was the role of the therapist to delineate that set boundaries
and talk through those feelings
with you he violated you in your very vulnerable state and yes he should be reported exactly
okay so this is the last commenter that i'm going to read it's kind of long but i feel like it has
some need to know information it says the therapist needs to be reported to a licensing board
if true op several things are happening here first and foremost therapists are expressly forbidden
from sleeping with clients we even have rules stating how long it needs to be after we stop
seeing someone as a client before we can start seeing them in any other capacity quote-unquote
for romantic and sexual relationships is five years me personally i say never on the table
it's never a shot to shoot okay because you know things about them but moving on with a comment
the reason for this is we're highly trained in getting people to open up their minds and
open up and foster a one-sided deep emotional connection by contrast you know also nothing about
us even if it feels like you do in most cases this type of connection is therapeutic and good because
the client can have the therapist be whoever they need them to be without having to worry about how
session content impacts their therapist but when the line is crossed and it becomes sexual the
therapist has used their training to make someone emotionally vulnerable and then use their power
to fulfill their own needs i would report him 100 uh written beautifully everything all my ramblings
um of what i said culminated into this beautiful post do all of this never have sex with your uh
therapist if you feel in feelings leave if they express they have feelings leave if you're the
therapist and you know that the client is having feelings with you release them and refer them
to someone else if they uh try to get you to get go down this rabbit hole of sexual relationship
report them it's just it's so many other things that could be done here besides uh the therapist
taking advantage of you and you wanted to have that connection with them because again you know
nothing about them that was a barn burner of a post all right y'all well that was the episode um

FAQs
No, ghosting would not be the right choice. The original poster acknowledges that their ex-wife cheated and left, and the advice emphasizes that true closure comes from self-healing, not reconnection. Moving on is healthier and more mature.
No, it is not acceptable. Therapists are forbidden from having sexual relationships with clients due to power imbalances and ethical violations. Any such relationship should be stopped immediately and reported to licensing boards.
Yes, but with caution. The advice suggests telling him if he deserves honesty and emotional truth, as staying in a relationship built on lies is unethical. However, the decision should be made thoughtfully, and one should prepare for strong family reactions.
Look for signs like active listening, interest in your desires, and engagement in foreplay. Good sex involves mutual pleasure and attention, not just performance. Physical intimacy should be reciprocal and enjoyable for both partners.
No, forgiveness is not required. The post emphasizes that healing and growth come from self-care and moving forward. Continuing to carry guilt or forgive someone who violated trust only prolongs emotional pain.
Yes, but commitment and emotional connection matter more than past experiences. The key is whether both partners are aligned in values, communication, and long-term goals, not just sexual history.
