Russia Hit Zelensky's Hometown — Then Ukraine Crossed the Line Nobody Expected

NATO is now flying war rehearsals around Kaliningrad, the most vulnerable piece of land Russia owns. And Russians are openly calling it practice for a future war. Now here's the part that makes it so much worse for the Kremlin. Putin brought this on himself and we'll get into how he did that in just a second. But Putin is now doing what he always does whenever he's in trouble. He's now attacking Ukrainian civilians hoping he could show some kind of victory to a Russian population that's getting tired of him. Unfortunately that is also not working out how he had hoped. Ukraine is now heading back after Putin's criminal strike and the Russian economy is now melting down in front of our eyes. Some of Russia's biggest companies have lost nearly a third of their value in a single day. No country can sustain that and as you guys know Putin may not survive this. Now as if this all wasn't bad enough, yesterday was Ukraine's Independence Day. Leaders from all around the world flew into Kyiv to celebrate and one of them came bearing a gift that no one was expecting. A weapons duel that could have a massive impact on this war. So let's get into all of this starting with the strike that Putin used to kick this whole thing off. August 21st was a horrific night for Ukrainian civilians, specifically for civilians living in Kyiv-Ri, Zelensky's hometown. On this night Russia carried out what's called a double tap strike on a Ukrainian shopping mall. Double tap means exactly what it sounds like, first you hit a target and cause as much damage as you can. Then you wait. You wait for the first responders to arrive and for the medics and firefighters to start pulling people out of the rubble. And then you strike the same spot again targeting the rescuers specifically. A terrorist attack on the city of Kyiv. day and in fact by the time that day closed it was close to 30 percent 29 to be exact in a single day that's the reality of the russian economy now now unfortunately for little vladimir though he cannot spend too much time worrying about this problem because he has a much bigger problem on his hand and it has to do with russia's grip on kaliningrad here's what i mean now as some of you guys may already know kaliningrad is a chunk of russian territory that isn't actually attached to russia it's a separate piece of territory sitting on the baltic sea it's squeezed between poland and lithuania completely cut off from russian mainland now it is packed with ton of russian military hardware but it's completely surrounded by nato and guess what nato just did last week nato masked roughly 25 aircrafts by the way later this was confirmed to be 50 aircrafts near russia's kaliningrad enclave on august 18th including u.s and norwegian fighter jets and awacs the rare ea-37b compass call electronic warfare aircraft and apache attack helicopters the package flew orbits over northeastern poland focused on electromagnetic environment around kaliningrad now of course nato did say this is just training you know it's not it's not something that has to do with any russian action recently but this type of buildup is definitely unprecedented something that hasn't been done before so let's look into what exactly was used and that tells us a little bit about what the plan was what the message was let's start with ea-37b it's a unique aircraft and a rare one it's pretty new pretty newly designed i guess and it's basically a jamming plane it's built to disrupt communication radar navigation systems anything you can imagine these are like exact kind of capabilities you would need in a confrontation with russia and we had this plane flying very very close to kaliningrad if you paired this in with all the other aircrafts that were flying in the area it was basically nato's opportunity or a chance to study russian air defenses in the area including any electronic signatures that russian systems were giving off now of course officially nato did say this has nothing to do with russia at all but unofficially there is an implicit message here and here we have a great breakdown as to what that message was whilst this concentration of nato assets looks unusual the belligerent nature of recent russian actions and words mean that it is prudent to occasionally show a little more strength than usual to deter it this is what we saw in the deterrence looks like with recent russian rhetoric and diplomatic actions over the supply of more deep strike weapons to ukraine it is essential that nato continues to display resolve and strength this is but one way of doing that without crossing any potential escalation threshold this type of mission does two things one it sends a clear signal to the kremlin that we are watching and ready and second by employing a comprehensive air package it avoids any miscalculation on the russian side we know what it likes to do to a lone unarmed surveillance aircraft now there's another theory that has been floated online and that has to do with a possible russian attack on nato now as you guys know u.s intelligence is pretty good when it comes to what putin's plans were in fact u.s knew about this attack coming even before like putin launched his invasion even before russian generals knew about an invasion that's coming against ukraine u.s intelligence knew about it i don't know how but they knew about it and it seems like that intelligence capability has continued even after this war started and i'm not sure if that's true or not but it seems like that intelligence capability has continued even after this war started and over the last few weeks maybe let's say over the last two months we've been getting a lot of reports from american media and foreign media that basically confirms that hey intelligence u.s intelligence expects some kind of russian attack or escalation against a nato country we don't exactly know if this would be poland or if this would be one of the baltic countries but there's something that russia is planning and u.s wants to warn everyone right now this exercise could be a deterrence meant to basically tell putin hey stay away from whatever u.s government is doing and that's exactly what russia is planning to do and that's one of the things that they're planning to do they're planning to do a lot of things and they're planning to do a lot of things and they're planning to do a lot of things and they're Guessing this message was meant for Russians directly, but take a listen. Putin hopes that we are tired. We know that he is mortal. He never understood us. Now he will not have time to. You wanted to take all of our Ukraine, all of our land. Instead, you lost your oil refineries, your fleet, your profits, and an entire generation that you sent into the meat grinder. You wanted us not to exist on the map. Now you do not exist on the international agenda of the future civilization. Now on top of all this, there was another news that many people overlooked. Remember when Zelensky visited the Oval Office, we had another announcement, and the announcement was relating to Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who were meant to go to Ukraine for the Independence Day, which took place yesterday. But apparently, that trip was slightly delayed. Because of all the whistle-strikes that Russia has been launching towards Kiev. Now this sounds like a very good excuse, but take a look at everyone else who visited. We had, you know, so many world leaders, prime ministers, presidents, and chancellors visiting from different parts of the world. We also had former Special Envoy Keith Kellogg visiting. So all these people assumed it was safe to go. But apparently, the United States Special Envoy, current Special Envoy, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, it was just a bit too dangerous. Now this is where it's important to remember. Russia never actually hits Kiev when US personnels are there, because Russia doesn't want to cause that kind of escalation. So to me, this seems like just one of the dumbest excuses to postpone the trip, because they want to, you know, avoid Russian missiles. When in reality, whenever they go, Ukrainian civilians actually get a good night's sleep. Because Russia avoids hitting cities where US envoys are present. So hopefully they go very soon, because this would be very unprecedented, I don't think any high-level official has gone to Kiev. Since Scott Besant went at the start of 2025. So this would be very good, because after all, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are playing a big part in negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, and they've been to Russia like multiple times, but they haven't been to Ukraine even a single time. So hopefully they go very soon. And this is exactly why it was pretty sad to see General Keith Kellogg, you know, just not renew his position as Special Envoy, because he was one of the few people in this negotiation team that was very, very pro-Ukraine. But it seems like he wasn't having the kind of influence that he was hoping in the whole process. So he decided to not renew his Special Envoy position. I think every year you have to go through the Senate approval process, which again, if he wanted to, I think he would be approved, but he stepped down himself. This was last week, Russia pushed a bunch of armor in. Yeah, I can set this up for a second, Adam, we got, so one of the things that happens here is you constantly hear about Russian influence. And I think that's a very important thing. I think that's a very important thing. One piece of that gets onto those powder bags on the floor, and off you go. So it doesn't take much. No. No. In an American tank, you know, they have what, in the back of the turret, there's a projection that is called a bustle, and that's where they keep the ammunition. And there's a blast wall between the crew and the ammunition. And American tanks still have a human loader. So the tank commander says, one round, sabot, you know, the guy, the blast wall comes up, the guy reaches into this big, like, refrigerator full of these things, whips it out, the blast door closes again, and he shoves it into the breach. So U.S. went for a human instead of a robotic thing and to segregate the ammunition. Okay, right. So this is almost like the Three Stooges here. But that drone was parked by the side of the road, and these guys drove right past it. They weren't paying attention. And then, unfortunately for them, they decided to, you know, stop right next to the drone. And this thing is obviously going for the squishy part and not the hard part. So, and if you go back to, you know, that guy, we'll probably show it again, but he is carrying a rifle that looks like a Moissan Nygat. That rifle is a hundred years old, right? These are rear echelon guys, they never expected anything bad to happen to them. He literally has a bolt action rifle. That's why he's not shooting back. Okay. Yeah. Now, I can't tell for sure, but the magazine isn't in the weapon. So if it's an AK pattern rifle, I don't think so. So it's a Moissan Nygat.
