Royalkye Aurelius - Firefighter with PTSD Dies In Motorcycle Crash; Makes A Deal With God During NDE

Royal Kai, a former federal firefighter, shares his transformative story of trauma, near-death experience, and spiritual awakening. After years of living in a high-stress, emotionally suppressed profession, he battled PTSD and deep despair. In 2017, a motorcycle accident led to severe injuries, but he miraculously survived without trauma to his brain or spine, defying medical expectations. During the near-death experience, he encountered a profound, loving presence that confirmed his belief in a divine, compassionate reality. A spiritual voice urged him to return, and he made a pact to return only if healed. Miraculously, the doctor who saved him later recognized him and confirmed the event’s significance. After financial and emotional devastation, Kai found purpose through faith and a deeper understanding of spiritual connection. He emphasizes that healing comes not from religious doctrine, but from personal, heartfelt relationship with a universal, loving force. His experience demonstrates that even the most broken lives can be transformed through surrender, faith, and choice—proving that miracles, love, and spiritual growth are real and accessible. He calls on others to move beyond suffering, embrace self-love, and believe in their ability to live a better life, guided by unconditional love and faith.

Aloha, everybody. My name is Royal Kai and I am an NDE survivor and this is my story. This is my true story. And before I get into the actual story, I need to share a little bit of background information on what led up to it because without the context, it's not a complete story. So I was a federal firefighter on a helicopter attack crew for over a decade. I traveled across America, we would fight fire 16 hours a day, 21 days straight and just consistently being in a fight or flight response. And so as a boots on the ground operator, we're the ones that are meant to go and safe people and we're the ones that are first on the scene. And when there's a natural disaster or an incident, we're the ones that are running into it. And so after years of firefighting, of being in a fight or flight response, I didn't realize or recognize that I had PTSD because it changes your neurochemistry, your baseline is much higher than the regular population because you're consistently going into a fight or flight response. And so I didn't know that I had PTSD and growing up in Wyoming, where you're supposed to be a Wild West tough cowboy, you don't feel your feelings, you don't feel your emotions like buck up cowboy, I caused a lot of suffering for me because I didn't know that I could reach out to people. I didn't know that it was okay to talk about it because it was shunned, it was shamed. And so a lot of people in that profession end up having issues with substance abuse or depression or anxiety because of the nature of the job. And that's exactly what I was in. I was so broken as a person, I hadn't wanted to be here for a really long time. And my near death experience happened in 2017. I had gotten out of firefighting, I got into business and corporate finance. And my thinking at the time was all I need is money and money will fix everything, all I need is money, money, money. And I was running and I was just working and making money, but deep inside my soul, I was still so lost. I was angry at God because of this hyper religious perspective that I grew up in, I grew up Mormon or LDS, I thought that God hated me, I thought that I had to perform to get God's love. And I had experienced a massive amount of trauma in my life from physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, sexual, like some crazy stuff. And I was just really lost and broken. And so I was numbing out, I was drinking, I was drugging, I was just so lost as a person. And in 2017, on June 29th, 2017, I left my home on a motorcycle, wasted it. I was just, here we go, man, I'm cruising around town. And I remember that there was these girls that were to the side of me. And they saw me and they knew I was toasted and they went, and I'm just riding the motorcycle like, yeah, whatever. Hey, and I went to go get a pizza in my stupor, I went to go and get a pizza. And so I put the pizza on the back, I'm cruising around town, and I'm about two miles away from home. Just, I'm almost back home. And I've ridden motorcycles my entire life. Really good at riding motorcycles, but I was wasted. So I just looked behind me for a brief moment to look and check on the pizza, his pepperoni pizza. I'm like, you good, bro? And I turned back around, and there was a roundabout. And there was no reflectors, there was no street lights, there was no signs, no nothing. And I was going around 30 miles an hour. I didn't have a helmet, and I hit it head first, and I plow into it head first. And when I landed, I hit the cement barrier. It busted my jaw and half. It ripped from my skull on the left side. My entire right side of my face was completely shattered and caved in. I fractured my skull. You can see a little bit of the scars here. I had massive internal bleeding in my brain, my kidney, my spleen, three shattered ribs, a shattered scapula, a broken arm, two fractures, and three torn ligaments, my left leg. And I'm on my back. My jaw's busted and hinged. It's ripped from my skull, my skull's fractured. And I'm bleeding profusely, hemorrhaging from my right eye socket, into my mouth. And so I remember, I was about to die. I knew it. I could feel it. And I'm asphyxiating on my own blood, sitting there, trying to breathe and I couldn't breathe. And I prayed to God with all of my might, with all of my soul, with each and every soul in my body. And said, "God, please save me if you're real. Please save me. I don't want to die." And at that moment, my soul, my spirit, my consciousness blasts out of my body. It's blasts out of my body. And I arrive in the most beautiful place that I've ever experienced in my entire life. It was all provading, omnipresent, just perfect love. This piece, this bliss beyond anything you could ever imagine. And I've done medicine journeys before, with Ayahuasca, and DMT, and LSD, MDMA, a lot of different things, but it was completely different. So I know from a spiritual psychedelic experience, it's different from where I was. And I knew I was in heaven. There was no doubt in my mind that I was in heaven. My spirit, my soul felt like it was home. I knew I was home, and I was in the presence of God. There was no denying it. I will never deny it. And being in that place, after experiencing so much trauma, and pain, and suffering in my life, everything was perfect. It was a perfect bliss. It was a perfect love. It was this perfect, just all-encompassing like, "Oh, man, this is amazing. Yes. This is great. I'm going to stay here." And then there was this booming voice that was so familiar, that's like, "You can't stay here. You have to go back." And I was like, "No way. There's no way in hell. I'm going back to earth." No way. No way. Dude, it's crazy down there. There's so much pain and suffering, and I'm not going back. This is perfect. This is amazing. I'm going to stay here. And the voice is like, "You have to go back." And I'm like, "I'm not going back." No way. And then the voice again says, "You have to go back. Your job isn't done yet. Your mission isn't complete." And on the third time, when I'm sitting there arguing with this voice, and it's not like we're actually talking because my body is a lifeless, bloody, mangled mess of destruction, right? It's like this telepathy, just this knowing. And on the third time, I see my body from a bird's eye view looking above, and it looked like a murder scene. I mean, there's blood everywhere. I'm just broken and mangled, and it's just nasty. And I said, "Okay. If I have to go back, you have to make sure that I'm not paraplegic. You have to make sure that I don't have a traumatic brain injury. And that I'm not a vegetable. And I will go and do whatever you want me to do, but you have to heal me because I'm so broken as a person. And I haven't wanted to be alive for a really long time because of the things that I've experienced." And God's like, "All right, bet. Like, I got you. Okay, I'll give you another chance." And people are like, God doesn't talk like that. It's like, "No, it's God's our best friend. He knows this better than anyone. He created our soul, our spirit, like everything. He's going to talk to you like your best friend, not like, "Oh, here's our all-dine son from the earth." Like, it's not some biblical thing. Like, that's what people get wrong. It's not religion. It's about a spiritual relationship. And so I made a deal on my life. And on that moment, I blasted back down into my body. And for people, like, our souls are pretty big. And to be squished back into your body and to this trauma and pain and destruction, it was the most painful thing I've ever experienced. And at that moment, when I come back into my body, and I'm still gurgling on my own blood, trying to breathe, there was a trauma doctor that lived right across the road that heard it. And he was the only person that could have saved me in the world. He runs up to me. He's like, "Oh, my God. Oh, my God." Like, I don't want to turn this guy over because he probably has a spinal calmer injury. But if I don't, he's not going to be able to breathe, and he's just going to die. And so he cradles my spinal column, and he turns me over. He opens up my airway. He takes off his shirt, and he's trying to stop the bleeding. And there's just blood everywhere. He manages to call 911. And ambulance is dispatched. Literally, two blocks away parallel to where I was. And in the golden hour with trauma and triage, it's the most important hour to be able to get that patient stabilized and make sure that they live. So they were two blocks away. They show up. They start working on me. And my dad, my father, shows up, pinpoint GPS location to where we were. God had told him, "Hours before your son is going to be in a motorcycle accident, you need to go here." This was in Utah. He drove two and a half hours before the accident to be at the corner of where the accident was. Only moments after the ambulance shows up. This is insane. This is a God thing 100,000%. The paramedics run up to him. One of them says, "Sir, you don't want to see this. This is nasty. This guy's probably going to die." And my dad looks at him. He says, "That's my son." And he's going to live. God told me. And the paramedics like, "What the hell? Like, what are you talking about? You're insane." He's like, "No, God directed me here." And he's going to live. And so the paramedics like, "All right, man." And they load me up. They're working on me. They rushed me to the hospital and they start working on me. But this is the craziest thing. From a blunt force trauma, head first impact on a motorcycle without a helmet. bleeding in my brain, the swelling in my brain stopped. They didn't have to do brain surgery. I didn't have a traumatic brain injury. I didn't have a spinal column injury. I'd had nothing in that sense. So they sent my kidney and my spleen and they start reconstructing my face from inside my mouth, behind my eye socket, putting in titanium plates and screws and reconstructing my entire face. And 11 and a half hours later, worth of surgery, a day and a half later, I wake up in the hospital and I'm like, where am I? What's going on? The doctors like dude, you are the luckiest man alive. How are you even alive after that? I've never seen anything like this. You're a miracle man. And I'm like, dude, what happened? You were in a motorcycle accident. You should be dead. You have no spinal column injury, no traumatic brain injury. We didn't have to do surgery on your brain. This is insane. And I'm like, God saved me. And so when I was in the hospital, I made a decision. I could either continue down the path of destruction and anger and blame for the things that had happened to me and PTSD and all of these aspects that were causing destruction in my life, or I could accept responsibility, accept accountability and take my agency back and choose to live a better life because I was given a second chance. And I made a firm decision. I said, I'm going to heal rapidly. I command myself and my body to heal rapidly. And I started meditating and praying and doing mantras and chants. I was only in the hospital for two weeks. I was released after two weeks and I was working out three months later. Every single doctor is like, how is this possible? Like, this is insane. How are you healing so rapidly? I'm like, I know how we can heal. Like we are pure spirit energy. And so once you can understand that, it's amazing. And so four years after the motorcycle accident, I was directed by God to go to where the motorcycle accident was. And I show up in spirits like, hey, like start knocking on doors. You're going to find the man that saved your life. And I was like, all right, so I knock on a door. Nobody answers. I knock on another door. Nobody answers. I knocked on three doors. And nobody answers. And then I turn behind me and I see a house. And I get goosebumps all over my body. And I was like, that's the house. Because I hadn't met the doctor. I didn't know what happened that night. The information that I told you was from him. I go up and I knock on the door. And this young kid maybe like 13, 14 opens it. He's like, hey, what's going on? I said, have you guys lived here for a while? And he's like, yeah. And I was like, do you remember a motorcycle accident a couple of years ago? And he's like, yeah. And I said, I'm that man. And his eyes froze. He's like, no way. No way. I got to go get my dad. So he went and got his dad. He comes out. It's dinner time. He has like an apron. He's cooking. And he was really stern. He was really caught. He's like, yeah, can I help you? And I was like, do you remember a motorcycle accident years ago? And he stopped. And he's like, yeah. And it was like time froze because I realized that he was the one that saved my life. And he realized that I didn't die. And that he had saved mine. And if you've never met the individual that saved your life, it's hard to explain. And he's like, that's not possible. He's like, that's not possible. You died. There's no way that you live from that. And I was like, God save me. And he told me to come back and tell you, thank you for saving my life. And we start hugging each other and crying and sobbing in each other's arms because he was like, this is impossible. And from that day forward, he's like, I wasn't really believing in God. I didn't believe in something beyond me. I've seen so many people die and I tried to save so many people. But you coming back, you're coming back and telling me that you saved me and you're healthy. You restored my faith in God. Thank you. I'm like, he's one of my close friends today. And his son was like, I remember that night my dad came in and he was covered in blood from head to toe. It looked like he was in a murder. And they said, yeah, that was my blood. And so from that point forward, because I had alcohol in my system after the accident, I was denied all of my health insurance. I had health insurance. I had car insurance, motorcycle insurance, all of these insurances. And they denied everything because I had alcohol in my blood system. And I was left with a $500,000 medical bill. I lost everything. I literally lost everything. I went through divorce. I went through medical bankruptcy. I lost my job. And then I was in a much deeper place of despair than I've ever been in my life. When you lose everything, your identity, everything you've worked for, your entire life, your career, your marriage, everything, and your left with your bare soul and nothing more, it forces you to look at who you are and what is really important in this life. And so there was a point where I was in so much despair. I prayed and I said, God, what do you want from me? Like, why am I here? What is the purpose of this life if it's so much suffering and pain? And I wrote a letter to God and I asked very specific questions. And I said, look, if you don't answer these questions, I'm going to turn into a Machiavellian monster and do whatever I want and completely disown you and never, ever look back. And I seal up this letter on my desk and I go to the gym two weeks later that I'd been going to every single day. I see this little old lady that comes up to me and she starts talking to me like she knows me. She's probably about 70 years old. She's maybe five foot piercing green eyes, super intense. And she says, look here, Kai. And I was like, what the hell? I was like, how do you know my name? She's like, you're alive for a reason. God saved you so that you could share your testimony with those that are still suffering and that don't believe in anything bigger than themselves. And she literally answered every single question that I asked. And I was like, this is insane. Like, this isn't no way. This is real. But she literally answered every single question that I asked and that I never saw again. So from that point, I started rebuilding my life and understanding that God is real. But God, like the word God is still infinitimally small to the all-pervading omnipresent alpha and omega that is literally the energetic force of everything in existence. And so I'm not somebody that's really religious. I love Yeshua. I love Jesus. But I'm not about religion. It's about a relationship. It's about your own spirituality and that the kingdom of heaven is within. And I want to let people know that it doesn't matter what you go through. It doesn't matter what you've experienced. It doesn't matter the pain, the suffering, the trauma. If you honestly surrender your life and you say, hey, God, creator, great, great grandfather, great spirit, whatever, you want to call it and you ask for help, I can guarantee you from somebody that has come from overdoses and depression and anxiety and PTSD and dying and coming back that you can go through anything. And God, creator, can heal you from it and that you can start living a better life. And those experiences will be the the goal that you get and that you can help other people out with it. So stop judging your situation with where you're at or what you're experiencing except it and be like, what is God trying to teach me from this so that you can have a better life and help out other people? And at the end of the day, the most important thing that there is is love. This unconditional omnipresent, all-pervading love for ourselves and for other people because with everything that's happening in the world today, this division, this separation, this hate, this greed, this fear, we have to like get to a higher plane of existence to be able to change our circumstances for ourselves individually, for our families, for our communities, for our nation because we can. And I want people to know that God's real, that miracles are real but you have to have faith and confidence that stuff will happen. And that's my whole mission is to let people know that because I didn't understand that. I thought that God was this religious legalism based on like modern day Pharisees where I had to perform to get God's love. That's what I grew up in. It's like you have to do this and this and this and this to get God's love. But that's like the furthest thing from the truth. Like there's so much love that's all there is is love. And some days when it's difficult and I know the difference from being here on this 3D plane and being in heaven and being beyond, it's very challenging. Some people are like, "Oh, I wish I had an NDE." No, you don't. No, you don't because your entire paradigm of yourself paradigm, your world paradigm, your religious paradigm is shattered. And you realize that everything is false in this world and that we are being pitted against each other on this separation and this greed. And we're being marketed to and advertised to for all of these things that are not like truly benefiting us. It doesn't matter how much money you have in your bank account, how much materialism you have. If you're not happy with yourself as an individual and you don't have God or a higher power, like you will never ever ever be happy. And so I just hope that people that are watching this can truly understand that. Number one, your love, no matter what you've gone through, whatever you've experienced, you've witnessed, like you are loved beyond anything you could ever imagine. Like I will stand on that to the day I die. Number two, that God, creator, the universe, knows what you're going through. He knows what you've experienced. And we actually sign up for what we want to go through in a certain aspect so that we can grow in our soul's consciousness and our understanding. Because the universe is always expanding. Our consciousness is always expanding. Humanity's evolution is moving forward. And so if you cling to the past and these these limiting beliefs you're going to miss like the greatness and what God wants in your life. And number three, miracles are real. Start believing in them. Start believing in yourself. Start believing in a better life. Start believing in better circumstances. It's like people drag, I did for a long time, drag this suitcase of all this pain and this suffering, this trauma, like a badge of honor. Be like, look, this is what I went through. It's like, no, leave that crap behind. Like, start a new life. Make a decision today to start a new life because you can do it. And I just wanna let everybody know that we can change the course of humanity. We can change history, his and her story. We can change that. But we have to have faith and be confident and be bold because the world that we're living in now, it's broken. It's sick. A lot of people are suffering. We have more than enough tools and technology and information. We need leadership to be able to guide the future generations to something better. And I know that that's why I'm here. So I'm very humbled to be able to share my testimony, to be able to share my story and let people know that your life can change. That God can change you from the inside out. And it's not a religious concept. I don't care if you're Protestant or Catholic or LDS or you're from Judea or whatever it is, like it's literally about our relationship and are we being loving to ourselves and to other people? And are we bringing joy and happiness into the world? Because if we're bringing in hate and anger and greed, it'll always follow us no matter where we're at. So thank you for allowing me to share my story with you. God bless each and every one of you. You matter, you're worth it, you're amazing. And we are truly one miracle away. If you want to learn more about me, about the mission, about the book, about the website, check out the description box. You can reach out to me through email because I'm really here to be a guide for people so that they don't have to stay stuck where they've been. It's not fun, I've been there for decades. You don't have to be stuck and suffer. Like there's a better way, but you have to make a decision and you actually have to believe in something better for your life because I can guarantee you there's way, way, way better than what you're living if you're not living your best life. So Aloha, God bless you all and Mahalo.
