Romeo & The Butcher: Thursday, September 10th, 2026
69m 56s
The hosts reflect on their upcoming Rosh Hashanah celebration at their new home, where they plan to host with a simple menu of brisket and short ribs, excited by the prospect of a fresh start but nervous about the logistics and potential for spills. A humorous moment occurs when they reveal a photo of their dog Romeo with an extremely unrecognizable haircut, leading to widespread laughter and disbelief—especially since it was groomed by their in-laws without their knowledge. Meanwhile, Bruno also receives a striking new look, reinforcing the theme of unexpected changes. This is paired with a significant life update: the host officially purchases a beachfront home in Florida, ending years of renting and embracing a more grounded, family-centered lifestyle. The episode also touches on pop culture, including SNL’s new hosting lineup and a controversial Harry Styles concert ticket design that sparked backlash due to its 9/11 imagery. The hosts discuss broader life shifts, such as embracing adulthood with financial responsibilities and new routines, and highlight various product sponsorships like Smart Mouth, Weight Watchers, and Quince, emphasizing quality, health, and practicality in everyday life. The tone balances humor, surprise, and heartfelt personal growth, making it a relatable and engaging reflection on modern life transitions.
♪ Good morning, girlies, it's the Toast. It's Jackson, Claude, and we're your hosts. It's your favorite show, the fast five things you need to know. We'll start your day off swirly, it's the Toast. I sound amazing.
Welcome back to the Toast. It's Thursday. Yeah, like latter half that we didn't really earn, but whatever.
We didn't, but we're enjoying.
I like that little, like, we're enjoying. It's giving rise and shine.
We are enjoying, except this weekend is a bit of work. It's not the hard holiday, but like a lot of cooking, a lot of hosting.
Rosh Hashanah is Friday night and Saturday night.
The entire holiday at my in-laws, like not a dish to be cleaned, no back-breaking work.
And I'm really like looking forward to it.
That's exciting. Olivia's doing the first night and then I'm doing the second night.
So I'm excited and nervous to host in my new house.
Of course, so much pressure.
We have our dining table, like our formal dining table, but we don't have a kitchen table yet.
But I guess regardless, we would have been doing Rosh Hashanah at the formal dining, so it's okay.
I'm like nervous there's a rug under the table, like don't spill.
But we'll have a kids table. We'll have kids table with their little, you know, play table and then adults.
A rug underneath the dining table is so chic.
And I'm not just saying that because I have one.
No, no, it's really party, but it's nerve-wracking.
A thousand percent. I hope you didn't like spend a lot of money and like you got one that's like microfiber or whatever.
Knowing you, you probably got like a silk rug from Persia.
I think it's like Rorschach. What are they called?
That's the artist.
Rorschach?
Rorschach. I don't know, but I'm sure you probably got like a stark rug. Okay.
No, it's very beautiful, but I'm excited.
I think I'm going to, and I have to like plan the menu, but I think I'll make a brisket.
Keep it easy. Jake Cohen brisket. Make it on Friday.
We're doing short ribs.
And everything on Saturday and just as easy as can be.
Also, status update, my stove is working.
I feel like a caveman who just discovered fire.
Like we can make anything we want with all of this fire.
How exciting.
And now I feel whole again.
That's great. And I can't wait to see what you cook up for me.
Oh, I'm coming to visit soon.
I know I'm very excited.
After the holidays, you know, kind of life update on my, I actually have a lot to share today.
First of all, major news with Romeo.
And it was so crazy because we were just.
Just talking about Romeo.
I have to tell you guys.
You guys are ready for this update.
I can't believe my story update, but it kind of is.
My story actually comes with a photo and the photo is going to be on screen.
So if you're watching, we're going to add it.
We're going to take the time to add it.
Okay.
I already sent it.
I said, get it up.
Okay.
So, so funny.
We were talking yesterday about the grooming and Romeo.
I said, you guys like, because I cheaped out in the Hamptons, like he still hasn't been groomed.
He looks huge.
Now I told you also that he was at my in-laws and of course my in-laws are the best.
They don't even ask.
They just take care of things.
They got him groomed.
They've got him groomed multiple times.
I never, I'm not like that particular, just like cut his hair and make him clean.
Cut to my father-in-law says, picks him up and sends me this picture.
And I didn't know that he was getting groomed.
So I assumed that I was getting a photo from like the day Romeo was born.
And we were just like taking a trip down memory lane.
I'm like, oh, how sweet.
No, the photo was from yesterday.
He got butchered, like legit.
Photo, insert photo here.
I had no idea.
His ears were that small.
And I literally like, it's a combination of like the photo itself.
It's giving like Hamas tunnel.
It's giving hostage.
The cut is really bad.
And I was shocked.
Like I, and I didn't, first of all, like I wasn't mad or anything because like they're
doing me a favor, but I was like, they didn't cut his hair.
And by the way, I spoke to my mother-in-law.
She said, I said, keep the ears long.
Just cut like the thing that you say.
They just sort of like went.
Rogue.
And I imagine like it's worse in person.
My sister-in-law went to her parents yesterday and like was sending me pictures.
She was like, it's even worse.
It's like, it's choppy.
It is really bad.
I was floored.
I've never, the thing about Romeo, like obviously we have a complicated relationship, but like
I've always found him to be like extremely beautiful.
Like he's one of the most cutest, handsome Cavaliers I've personally ever seen.
He's cuter than Theo.
Like I take, I stand on that, stand on business.
And like, let me tell you, he looks ugly.
Like I was botched.
I was botched by the groom.
Guys, this photo, the picture is so funny.
Yeah.
He does look like a newborn puppy.
How did they not take off ear?
Like, how is that all hair?
How does he still have cartilage in his ear?
Like I was, he was irrecognizable to me.
And like, you know, I thought it was literally a picture from the day he was born.
Like when they come out, they're like kind of wet and like slick.
I literally thought it was a birth photo, newborn photo shoot of Romeo.
No, this was 12 hours ago.
You guys have to see the photo.
If you're listening as a podcast, like Claudia will post it to her story.
Of course.
Yeah.
It's really too much.
And not to, you know, rub salt in the wound, but Bruno happened to get groomed yesterday
as well.
And he like looked gorgeous.
He looks amazing.
However, like you said, you're coming down here soon.
And I think we should get the two for one special because Bruno is like coming down.
Bruno.
I seriously looked at Bruno this morning on my way out the door.
I was like, Bruno, you look his handsome.
You look like a two year old.
You look so young and sprightly and cute.
New house agrees with bro.
New house.
So that chicken bone agrees with Bruno.
You guys, we haven't heard.
I heard it's, I heard it's fake.
I know people were very nervous, but you guys.
It's like eating a grape.
We're like 36 hours out from chicken gate.
Nothing.
Well, the thing is, I think we're up to like life six or seven with Bruno and you know,
he has nine lives.
So you are getting up there, but the chicken boat is not going to take him out.
No, it's not going to take him out, but it's contributing to the eventual demise for sure.
But like Bruno's living the life.
He's living life in the way that he wants.
You know what I mean?
Like he's living a very happy, fulfilled life.
He's living out loud.
Don't you find he is living out loud for sure.
And whenever he goes, like hopefully, you know, 20 years, whatever, whenever he goes,
like it will be with a smile on his face.
Oh my God.
Like, do you ever, like, do you think about like, like Bruno's death?
Like, and what that will be like?
I don't.
Okay.
That's good.
That's really healthy.
Yeah.
I, I don't, I think he'll keep.
He also does have like immortal energy.
Yeah.
No, like nothing could take him down.
He's going to be one of those dogs.
You know, like those families that have like crusty, white, fluffy dogs that like literally
can't see, can't go to the bathroom, can't hear, but like give love.
He gives love.
Bruno.
I actually, I don't think about it.
Cause you know, I got a lot to think about.
Of course.
But yeah, I guess that will be, that would be sad.
Like really terrible, horrible thing.
Oh my God.
I'll be so upset.
Brody.
Bruno's sort of like our last connection to Theo.
I should bring him.
It's funny.
Cause Magnolia was around too for the Theo days.
But no.
No, that's not real life.
I should bring Bruno to work with me.
Absolutely.
Like Jackie, who knows how much longer he has.
Oh my gosh.
I'll bring him tomorrow.
You guys a little Friday.
It's kind of like when Theo was dying of cancer and I took him to see the Christmas tree in
Rockefeller center.
Yeah.
I think I'm going to bring Bruno to work tomorrow.
I think that's what we all need.
I love that.
So I'm looking forward to seeing Bruno.
I keep trying to say my big news.
Oh, right, right, right.
Beyond Romeo's bad haircut.
So in a couple of, which was genuinely like the biggest earth shattering, um, we're coming
down obviously.
I miss you after the holidays.
I have like a lot.
I need to catch up from like Hampton summer, you know, get my life in order.
And then we're going to come down because I never even tell you guys, but like, it's
kind of big news for me.
Cause you guys know I'm like a renter till I die.
Um, but when we were in Florida the last time, like during the sabbatical, during my sabbatical,
that was December, 2025, right?
Yeah.
I purchased, I made a purchase.
What did you purchase?
Home owner.
Okay.
Like small place owner, um, by the beach.
I obviously like, I couldn't really stay with you.
Even though now in your new house, like maybe I could have, but I felt like my time was
running out in like coming to you guys for weeks at a time.
And like, now we need multiple bedrooms.
Like we're just taking up a lot of space.
We're going to be sleeping in the studio.
Like it's not, it's not like you're literally recording in Ruby's room.
Yeah.
Not cool.
And I just figured like, if I'm going to buy a place, like I should do it like at the beach
water sign to be with my family.
I spend so much time there.
So we bought in December and like, we've been doing work.
So I am going to come down and just sort of like be in your place.
Check the place out.
It's giving your place.
Yeah.
I'm a place owner.
I love that.
I mean, I've loved it.
I'm very excited.
This means so much to me to be closer to my sister.
And if it has felt like I've been extra cardboard in recent months, like now I can finally share,
like I'm going through a lot.
Like I am going through a lot.
Um, it's been, I live a very sort of like laissez faire life.
Like I'm a renter.
And now I feel so tethered.
I have like bills and like payments and it's been really crazy.
It's been a growing experience for us.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And you just, I'm in a similar stage, like having moved into a new house and everything
that comes along with it and decorating, whatever.
I'm just looking forward to like turning the spigot off, you know, like I'll do what I
have to do.
You know, things have to be paid for everything.
We need a stove.
Of course.
But I just need to get to a place where we can turn the spigot off.
I've been feeling.
I've been feeling that way for a while and I just feel like maybe like adulthood is like
knowing that the spigot never turns off.
You don't think so?
I feel like I'm like a month away from turning the spigot off.
Like parenthood, like things just happen.
Like bills.
Okay.
Maybe there's different spigots.
So I'm a month away from turning off the home spigot.
Okay.
And that's a big one.
That will be a big one.
And then I might have to turn off some other spigots, like Birkin spigot, like because
the home spigot drained.
Of course.
Other spigots shall suffer.
They drain the well.
Yeah.
And then I wanted to tell you guys something else.
Oh, what else could there be?
I actually wrote like a.
a list oh i'm so glad i wrote down sometimes like i have so many things to share and i forgot to
tell you this i yesterday remember we were saying on the toast like we were so excited for dancing
with the stars we love tyler cameron but we just get the vibe that he's like a horrendous dancer
so i get this voice memo from from tyler cameron yeah and i believe sharna was like in the background
because i heard like a girly voice oh it disappeared oh oh i was excited to have a
little tyler c cameo he was like horrendous who you calling horrendous and uh he was like i can't
wait to prove you wrong he said if you if we want to come and be like his friends and family he
would love to have us um and then people also did remind me that he had like a whole i didn't watch
his season of the bachelor weirdly that's right people reminded me as well he had held like a
dance sequence he was like the dancer i think he actually has like amazing rhythm and i think he
has potential to win because the younger generation doesn't know tyler c yet and when they do they're
like garrett graham like they're gonna love everyone who knows him loves him and if he has
the skills which i'm now sensing like he has a lot of rhythm i think that he so my top two are julia
styles and tyler cameron you think julia styles could win i do i have to go back she has like the
whole millennial audience behind her like dancing with the stars is newly very gen z very tiktok
but it's og fan base is like millennial like boomer and they love julia styles yes
also tyler c was on that show like dancing what's that movie oh my god dirty dancing dirty dancing
i forgot about that yeah he's like low-key dancer yeah wait that's cute i forgot about that
and i'm telling you i think he has potential great well i'm excited i think that like
premieres when next week okay oh i tried to like be with the people and watch the trending show
last night ben was out of town i didn't want to watch
the trending show i'll tell you i didn't want to watch the alleged woman beater on the u.s open so
i could try to watch something else um everyone's talking about the show furious with his uh on
hulu with emmy rawsome now i sat down with my dinner and i watched like i ordered because ben
was gone so he left me alone he left me hungry i ordered um like i don't know why i like like
embarrassed i don't know i literally ordered sushi zaki like there's nothing weird about that
okay i just like ordered a lot
one time i got like an uber eats notification that i'm in like the top oh one percent of
orderers but that's i used to get those like when i lived in the city for my spots and it's just
because i'm loyal it's not because i order so much it's just because most people order from
a different place all the time i have never places i like so yeah yeah number one customer
and i watched like the first five minutes of furious it was so spooky i didn't know what it
was about and it was like this guy was kidnapped and i turned it off immediately like i cannot
watch shit like that by myself yeah that's crazy like there's always a buzzy show that we don't
watch you know like drama i know but i
like i wanted to be with the people i don't share my thoughts i don't watch fiction anymore
well the show is so olivia ashrae coded she like loves drama kidnap fbi like i gotta tell her she
has to watch it no the only fiction i'll watch is chad powers a thousand percent but really like
if you look at my history i really only watch reality tv i couldn't watch chad powers it's
like a husband and wife show i know i had the same experience last night like zach like never
came upstairs and so i was like i guess i'm not watching chad powers
then i met him right i haven't started watching sports oh yeah that's why there was some like
for cockta football nfl game on in australia yeah the 49ers i think yeah and yeah yeah i saw some
people were just uh talking about it who was it i i do respect the nfl's attempt to like go
worldwide and compete with soccer um it feels like unfair to the players who have to travel
to australia just for like the nfl's image issue yeah that's really crazy and really far so far
i don't know who played i think like the rams or something like that
oh a california head-to-head or a team of that nature and that does mean like chili season
loungewear season you have a season is like wanting to make a chili now and now that i have
my stove top i can but now i have to make a brisket for roche next week i'll make a chili
we're doing short ribs for roche you're in laws are doing short ribs yeah well they asked me what
i wanted and i said short ribs oh you're like sort of in your short rib era it's so good it's
like an alternative to brisket but it's like the same thing it's the same flavors it's like but
it's much softer meat i find it's very fatty my father-in-law makes like the best recipe and ben's
recipe that's on his instagram is like an interpretation of that it's so good the meat
is a little fatty there's not so am i there's not as much like meat i think i'm gonna go like
first cut brisket whatever the fuck that means
yeah i have no idea no shoulder shoulder oh so glad you brought up first cut brisket
huge news yesterday what like the upper east side jewish community was
shaking guess who was spotted at the kosher grocer like so random a jew no actually no
oh but it was a maybe that's a clue no no no and it's not hailey bieber no like first of all like
opposite like you're never gonna guess but like it was so random but like everyone was talking
about it big from sex in the city oh that's cool he got pizza and he was like sitting outside like
eating lunch i feel like maybe he didn't know it was a kosher grocer and just like wanted pizza
yeah but he seemed to be enjoying it according to my sources boots on the ground
oh good yeah it's great for the community yeah that's exciting it was it was really exciting
we've got some things to discuss today we do so i think we can get into it oh do we
yeah like not not dreck i would say not dreck and i just want to say like nothing was drecky
about yesterday's episode it's true um but just file under not dreck so what's this from fyi you
did what's that from it's from bring it on like seven with hayden panettiere so good and one of
like solange's friends is like fyi you did i love that i know that girl what's her name i love her
it's like back in my consciousness she posted a tiktok when hayden panettiere passed away she like
couldn't believe it oh yeah such a good movie and she's like a classic character from all of our
shows growing up yeah if you haven't seen that particular bring it on you should watch it
actually like i think that if you were to watch it as a fully formed like frontal lobe developed
adult you would say what the fuck is this movie like first of all it's not okay like half the
insane the crumping like is not okay the whole movie is actually like deeply troublesome but
because it's like a core part of our childhood we're like oh yeah that movie but if you were
to watch it now you'd be like what the fuck is this no i think i think it still hits
it doesn't like it doesn't if you ever right if you've ever seen like clips out of context
you're like wait that movie out of context it's out of pocket in and rihanna's in it
context it all adds up yes it all comes out in the context okay well let's get into the fast five

Today's episode is also brought to you by Quince.
You know, last night at Mahjong, sorry, yesterday at Mahjong, everyone was talking about Quince.
Because someone was like, have you guys heard of Quince?
We're like, yeah, have you?
She's like, oh no, I just figured out.
She was like buying stuff for her daughter.
So, Quince is the key to building a great wardrobe.
You know those pieces in your closet that you just find yourself reaching for over and over again?
Somehow, you know, a sweater that works with everything, jeans that always fit right, a bag you carry everywhere.
Well, those are the pieces that earn a permanent place in your wardrobe and that's exactly what Quince does so well.
They make elevated everyday essentials by using premium materials like Mongolian cashmere, organic cotton, washable silk.
The designs are timeless, thoughtfully crafted, and made to be worn again and again.
And the pricing is very fair.
So, why I love Quince is that they make. They make like really high-end, high-quality products, like the same as like designer brands, but they price 50% to 80% less than the similar brands.
They work directly with ethical factories.
They cut out the middleman and they pass the savings on to the customer.
So, you end up just paying for the quality, not like a crazy brand markup.
They have premium stretch denim, leather bags.
They're always getting into new categories.
I've heard people love their suitcases.
I like their home stuff.
Their baby stuff is amazing.
If you're really particular about materials and like what your children wear, it's like very hard to find 100% cotton stuff these days.
Like everything's made of plastic.
Quince is a great brand.
Quince is a great option.
They bring that great high-end approach to everything that they make.
So, find the fall pieces you'll reach for most at Quince.
Download the Quince app for exclusive offers or go to quince.com/toast to get free shipping on your order and 365-day returns.

So, fall means new backpacks, back to school, pumpkin spice, and then, of course, the dreaded call from the school nurse that you need to pick your kid up early from school.
So, that's why Hiya was created.
We're looking, when it comes to children's vitamins, at a market that's just oversaturated with really low-quality ingredients.
Hiya is very thoughtfully designed.
They looked at what modern kids are actually eating or not eating and then formulated around the specific nutritional gaps.
So, they've got vitamin D, B12, C, zinc, folate, which are all the foundational nutrients to support immune health, rapid growth that kids go through.
And, of course, the ingredient list is non-GMO, vegan, dairy-free, allergy-free, gelatin-free, nut-free.
They've really thought of everything.
It's formulated by pediatricians and nutritional scientists.
It's a very powerful, chewable vitamin.
Kids love it.
It's got that great taste, but it's not filled with, like, sugary garbage.
Kids love the bottle.
It's, like, a fun activity that, like, they get to decorate it.
And you can obviously have peace of mind knowing you're giving a vitamin that actually helps, which shouldn't be revolutionary, but it is.
We've also worked out a special deal with Hiya.
You can receive 50% off your first order on any of their products.
To claim the deal, you have to go to HiyaHealth.com/toast.
The deal is not available on their regular website.

Our first story, in no particular order, I would say, are the stories, but this is an exciting, fun one.
SNL has set their season 50 to hosts and musical guests, and Jalen Brunson, star of the New York
Knicks, will be hosting the first episode of the season with music from Cat's Eye.
That's huge.
First of all, I don't tune in every week to SNL, but I will be sat for this.
I didn't even think, I didn't realize that they were coming back, and it was the first
one since they won the championship, but this is a genuine, perfect casting.
I also think, I don't really know Jalen's personality.
I'm looking forward to getting, obviously, he's an amazing basketball player, and I feel
like he really just stands behind his talent.
We don't really, he doesn't lead personality first, he leads skill first.
So who is Jalen Brunson?
- Who is Jalen Brunson?
I think he's probably, ♪ He's just like you ♪
- You think?
- I feel like he's a regular guy, yeah, and he's a young dad, and a husband, and he's
working hard, and he loves basketball, he loves Gakkaba.
- Do you think he's a big Cat's Eye fan?
- No.
- Yeah, I feel like they could've paired up a better musical artist with Jalen's, someone
like more New York.
It could've been such a New Yorker.
- Yeah, I feel like it's a New York night.
- Yeah, so here are the people they announced in this run.
First, we have Jalen and Cat's Eye.
- They should've had Billy Joel.
- Yes.
Then they have--
- Well, like Harry Styles.
He's doing his New York residency at the Garden.
- Well, we're gonna get to Harry Styles.
- Oh, what do you do?
- He's our next story.
You haven't seen this?
- I saw the short shorts.
Is that what you're talking about?
- I know, then you haven't seen what the story is.
I'll make you look at a picture when we talk about the story,
'cause it's really crazy.
- Oh my God, I'm so excited.
- Yeah, so maybe not Harry Styles.
Dakota Johnson is then--
- Then hosting with hardcore rock band, Turnstile.
And then Shane Gillis will host for the third time
on October 10th with Rosalia as the musical guest.
- Don't you think it's so crazy?
- I know.
- That Shane Gillis, given his whole arc.
I do think that he's, he doesn't need SNL.
If I'm him, I'm holding a grudge,
but he obviously doesn't.
And it's also weird that SNL has sort of debased,
not debased themselves, but they fired him,
and now he's the host, like, three times.
I don't know, I just think it's crazy.
- A number of times it's kind of like
they're desperate to have him on the show.
And I'm sure now they would love to have him on the show,
but he's so far surpassed going on SNL.
- No, no, as a cast member.
- As a cast member, yeah.
So at least they can admit when they're wrong.
- Yeah, it's impressive. - I guess.
- Who's the musical artist with him?
- Rosalia.
- Oh, right.
Yeah, I feel like this lineup does genuinely nothing for me,
except for Jalen Brunson.
- And then the other person they announced was,
Indi Navarati, she's gonna be the Halloween episode
with Gracie Abrams.
- Yeah, Indi Navarati, I'm not sure if that's
the correct pronunciation, but she's like the it girl,
Gen Z.
- From Obsession?
- Yeah, I didn't watch it, but her and the girl
from Sterling Point, I think her name is Ella Rubin,
they're like the girls of the moment.
- Oh, I didn't know them.
- They're both so pretty.
- I didn't know there was girls.
- Yeah, there are girls.
- Stella Rubin, I'm going to her.
- Now, when does the Jalen Brunson episode air?
- Soon, September 26.
- Got it, okay, I was just watching a clip
from Reese Witherspoon on Armchair Expert,
and he was saying like, I didn't realize
you were the first SNL host after 9/11 in 2001.
Like, what was that like?
I didn't even think about like all the things,
you know, you see like the Mets game
where Mike Piazza scored the home run after 9/11
and Bush throughout the,
like kind of a core American memories,
but you don't think about SNL, which is like so New York.
And she said like,
she had such a pit and she like had a one year old.
She was like a new mom.
She obviously like was not going to say no.
And it was like probably like the most nervous
she's ever been in her whole career.
- Yeah, that's really crazy.
- And they had someone come,
I think they had like Giuliani on the episode.
Like it was like this whole thing.
- Oh, sure.
- And if you were to ask me like,
who was the host of the first SNL after 9/11,
like I would never have guessed it was Reese Witherspoon.
But she was like, she still is,
but like America's sweetheart, this like darling girl.
- Yeah, the 25th anniversary of 9/11 is tomorrow.
I've been-- - Tomorrow.
- Are you also just seeing so many videos and like stories?
- Every year, every year.
- I feel like this year and the lead up,
maybe 'cause it's also the 25th anniversary,
there's just like a lot of content.
I think like documentaries.
- And like all the networks are doing like specials.
- Yeah, but I don't know, on X and Instagram,
like I'm just getting like so many stories
that I never heard before. - Did you see
the drone show last night?
- I saw the drone show last night.
- Ben saw it in person.
Like why didn't they tell us that was happening?
Like I would have went to go see it.
- Yeah, I didn't know that was happening.
And I do feel like I'm consuming a lot of 9/11 content
like no one told me.
- Yeah, right, same.
Like I would have loved to have seen that.
Yeah, tomorrow.
Ugh, so eerie.
Yeah, we'll talk about it tomorrow.
I really-- - Yeah, yeah.
- It's so heavy.
- So that's the SNL lineup.
Like I'm sure it's gonna all be bad, but it's exciting.
The announcements are always exciting.
I'll say that. - Yeah.
Yeah, although this was like, besides for Jalen Brunson,
I feel like this really falls flat.
- I agree.
And I don't know who's their musical booker,
like, and maybe I'm just out of touch
because I don't know turnstile.
- It is a combination of like you being a little like,
you have your own sort of genre specific,
demographic specific,
but I feel like they don't know who they are at SNL.
Like they're trying to be like Gen Z,
but like Gen Z doesn't really watch SNL.
And like, they're always trying to cater to an audience
that's like not there.
And I don't even know who watches SNL.
I don't think they know who watches SNL.
- Yeah.
But like--
- And like Tim Dillon hosting SNL when?
- Totally.
- I was watching another Tim Dillon,
he's kind of empowered me.
Like, I don't think I say enough crazy events of things.
Like, what was I watching today?
He was talking about, it was cracking me up.
- Where'd you see it, on reels?
- I'm obviously on Dillon Talk.
- Oh, so it's other people clipping his stuff.
- Yeah, and they send me like six minute clips
and it's the perfect thing to watch while I'm getting ready.
I'm like, listen, I don't even watch.
Fuck, I was laughing so hard today.
It was not Lindsey Clancy.
He did do a hilarious segment on, and it's like crazy.
It's crazy to say it's even hilarious,
on the woman who was like knife wielding in Times Square.
Did you see that video?
And the police killed her.
But like, he's not reacting to like these tragedies.
He's reacting to people's reactions.
'Cause like Lindsey Clancy,
like the rhetoric has been so shocking.
So his commentary is really on the commentary,
which makes it so much funnier.
And he's just kind of empowered me.
He said something so offensive.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
I was laughing so hard.
- About the Times Square knifer?
- No, no, no, no, no.
It was, what was I watching today?
what's like recent drama that he's been talking about u.s open
no I can't remember it'll come back to me but I realized like I am not radical enough in my
commentary on the toast I agree let's kick it up a notch if you hear me saying like some crazy
things just if you and are looking for someone to blame it's Tim Dillon well I'll say something and
be like oh was that like the wrong thing to say it's like no I need to be bringing more Tim Dillon
energy well our next story maybe maybe you'll find something to say so Harry Styles has fans
outraged over his insane New York City concert ticket oh my god I saw it yes so I saw the plane
and the tower yeah a social media user has shared an image of Harry Styles ticket artwork for his
together together tour that is going to be in New York this week it's a residency it's like 30 shows
I think it's like like months long yes so the ticket inquiry is going to be in New York this
question is for the Wednesday September 9th the seventh night of his tour stop and on the front
it looks like a ticket stuff and on the back there's like the Empire State Building and the
Chrysler Building like the skyline it's like a cartoon drawing and a car flying through the air
a car I thought it was a plane oh is it is it a plane or a car why would there be a car in the sky
no look pull it up pull it up because I saw this it looks like there's no it looks like a convertible
a plane is even crazier but yeah it also looks like a plane oh uh it's a plane uh it really
it's a car plane it's a car it's an ambiguous vehicle oh the page six said seemingly with
styles in a vehicle very good it's a vehicle yeah um I saw this I think obviously we're all
like on hypersensitive this week but I don't think you could ever be hypersensitive enough
to 9-11 imagery and it's crazy this is just one of those things where it's like how many people
it's the skyline but there's really only two towers you know well no I don't agree with that
because like one is like they're far away from each other and one's like much shorter than the
other I just think like when you're putting planes in the sky near the New York skyline
it's uber important to be like very sensitive you know yeah no I think and obviously this week even
traffic in January I don't know people might not have been on as high alert and wouldn't have been
on alert of mine but yeah after ever all the content I've seen this week of course this is
the first thing that I would think of but no it's not like there's the statue of liberty here like
they there's only two towers there's only two iconic towers just saying
no it's a 1000% bad like it's bad um I just think that this is yet another
demerit for Mr. Stiles no well no I think this is just like another more proof like Harry Stiles
is very much in his flop era and I know people don't want to hear that but he is so another
demerit sure uh it's really crazy I'm reading like the comments because I think any human being
before you read that there's backlash I saw it my first thought was like oh my god a plane
like it's it's sort of obvious
yeah so the fact that like all the editors and printers and animate like well I feel like
sometimes sometimes it's obvious like once it's out there to a person who's not involved but like
sometimes when you are in it it's not obvious I do feel like that sometimes for people and I can
give grace but this feels like very intentional okay I don't think it's intentional I don't think
he was trying to like a threat oh my god Tim Dillon
very Tim Dillon of you I don't think it was a threat I don't I don't think Harry would do that
because I think Harry loves New York I just think oh and mind you Harry has no idea that he's even
giving out like commemorative oh yeah like he doesn't work on the artwork at all this has
nothing to do with Harry self Harry team Harry team Harry artist yeah who is Harry's artist
let's meet the designer behind this offensive artwork yeah let's do that because it wasn't
Harry so someone drew this let's talk to them see what's going on in their life see what they're
about what would a therapist say yeah I think that's where we should place blame and I do think
like when you're just like even though he's a huge star sometimes like there's a lot of materials
that just like go out you know Jackie he has no idea that these things even exist no but it's
of course it leads back to
Tate McRae I think a million people have put Tate McRae though
like I think a number of people I don't think a number of people saw this honestly I think it was
just like some bonus artwork the artist made it they send it to the service and then they sent
it out to Kinko's yeah totally really crazy do better literally do better I'm not gonna say
the on the eve of the 25th anniversary not cool yeah are you ready for our next story
which is shocking and it's meant to be so sydney sweeney puts on a show as she strips down in
cheeky novig ad so sydney sweeney is embracing embracing sports and sports betting in a bold way
the actress stripped down for sports prediction market novig so novig is a new uh prediction
market app platform and it's strictly sports it's just for betting on sports and she is in their
first national brand campaign and it says novig is just sports and in spirit in the spirit of that
she's not wearing any clothes just and she's like sitting on a basketball hoop with her coochie out
there's literally 10 different ways that she's naked with sports covering paraphernalia and so
yes it is just sports now i have
you
got to know how much she was paid for this she oh by the way she is an investor in the company
she's a strategic partner and equity holder she has even more incentive to because the thing is
this commercial makes no sense like messaging wise like what does a naked sydney sweeney have
to do with predicting sports but we are all talking about novig something i had never heard
of prior to yesterday like this is effective marketing in the sense that like we're being
introduced to a brand and now i know the name of the brand and what they do i
will say even though this is like so crazy and at first when i saw it i'm like what's she getting
naked for but now like when we talk through the the creative like i will never forget that novig
is just sports no i'm telling you it is not brilliant underwear she looks not great i saw
a comment and it's so true like she is literally cassie from euphoria like this is so something
cassie would do and i do you know you know what's funny is that
i think people are gonna think this is like a crazy statement i feel that like how she
thinks about like her body and her image and like people sexualizing her is like really what emily
ratajkowski thought she was doing right like being this like intellectual with her titties out
like sydney sweeney is laughing her ass to the bank like she's in on the joke and like she's
not just being sexualized for the sake of being sexualized like she's this is not even a commercial
for a brand that she's getting paid she's an investor and like i think that she's letting
people sort of
like comment and sexualize her and they think that she doesn't know but she does
yeah whereas like emily ratajkowski was like i'm intellectual stop looking at my tits here's my
nipple like okay we're confused for free yeah like we're confused so actually i think in its own way
this is very very feminist twist you find this to be empowering no um but i get it like i feel
like she thinks like i feel like everyone thinks that she doesn't get it but she does like oh for
me she does i i feel like every time i'm like okay she's gonna be serious like or buttoned up now and
she did that role of the boxer and she's like gonna right she's trying to be you know taken
serious no she's gonna do all of the things yes and i respect her clear financial motivations in
life i think she like grew up poor i think she has a lot of spigots no i think she like
wants multiple lives an expensive life yeah i think that she like
likes to live have fun and like spend money and live free take a jet yeah it helps that she's
dating a billionaire of course and i think a lot of times when you do date a billionaire like you
do have to sacrifice like on their looks and their age there's not like so many like hot i mean look
at mark zuckerberg have you ever seen somebody uglier in your whole life like there are so few
like into this well i just think it's an example like show me like a an actually conventionally
handsome billionaire yeah
and it's like scooter braun stands alone whatever you think of him like you cannot
deny he's like a good looking guy yeah fit young ish so she's getting the best of both you know
yeah also the pictures are amazing like seriously how can he really pose in that many different ways
without showing privates and the use of of different athletic equipment is really crafty
i would say oh yeah i'm just looking at bezo i'm looking at billionaires like sorry bezos
i would need like a thousand drinks larry page i mean maybe he at one point but like warren buffett
like you know what i mean like point
um i don't know a lot of these people like what they look like i'm just looking at the
oh bill gates yuck like seriously yuck and also sometimes like to be a billionaire you
have to be much older because it's of course over time of course um i feel like ken griffin
is like not that bad looking i have to look up a picture what do you think about elon
um no like oh he's not on the list that's weird he's a trillionaire that's why oh sorry he's not
on the list he's just number one he's not on the list because he's a trillionaire not a billionaire
yeah i think that um like of course with all due respect like i think he's ugly like just
and i'm only talking about like looks i'm gonna pull up a photo of him and like just try and
evaluate based on looks yeah i'm just looking at like these oh um maybe like in his heyday
like mike bloomberg could have gotten it but today no he could get it that's what i'm saying
for girls like sydney sweeney like scooter braun is a one in a million type of guy
yeah yeah but it's not gonna stop her from working hard claudia
no of course do you think she should work less hard i mean if it were me but that's why she's
where i'm at and like i'm a slob it's true it's true okay you agreed a little too quickly i'm i
was agreeing with the first half if you guys like see our i started saying it's true before you said
slob when you said that's why she's where she's at it's true it's true okay fine nothing to do with
you i didn't that was before you brought yourself into it but you should have known i was going to
historically that's what i always do historically it's this was a crazy advertisement i will say
loved her with like the kardashian um way beachy waves like with her long extensions i never see
her looking like that yeah no she looks really beautiful and um she also like stepped her pussy
up style wise i feel like for so long she was like the hottest girl in the world and she like
showed up to all these red carpets like actually looking like the mother of the bride so bad
and i feel like maybe it's scooter bra like a year ago she started like dressing well yeah i she
dresses really well now that you forget that there was a period where yeah but she was like so bad
like she was either the bat mitzvah girl or the mother of the bride and you actually have to go
out of your way to dress someone so young and like perfect and make them look bad it's harder
to make them look bad than it is to make them look good right well i now know that novik is just sports
do we need another one of these platforms i don't know seared into my mind consider it seared
consider it seared job well done a marketing effective are you ready for our fourth story

minted that's m-i-n-t-e-d thank you t-u-r-d you're welcome our fourth story some tech news major
major tech news apple is introducing the iphone duo its first foldable smartphone
okay so it's that time of year i guess yeah it's september where they're like doing their big
presentation all the new products all the new features and they're coming out with a flip phone
so the new products are coming out with a flip phone so the new products are coming out with a
new iphone duo is a foldable smartphone it has an internal dual display panel that provides the
largest most immersive screen size ever at 7.6 inches diagonally so i've heard that when you
close it it's about the size of a passport and then when you open it it's giving more like ipad
yeah so that's the thing it's like i am intrigued even though i want to hate it like i'm open to it
except that when you open it it's like that's not a phone it looks like the ipad mini and i just feel
like i already have such a toxic relationship with my phone if it's
even bigger and more immersive like i'm scared yeah i'm scared too i'm trying to spend like less
time on my phone i mean this is actually good for like content and content creators because like
the way people consume there now you're going to want to watch more things on your phone it's
going to be like a more premium viewing experience um so that sort of sounds like a beautiful place
to watch a new episode of the toast right oh it's going to be great for video podcasts with
pargy queens and amazing and amazing frames it'll also be good i think for like tv and movies because
people will really enjoy it and i think it's going to be a great place to watch a new episode of the
on their phones now you wouldn't watch like a movie on your phone but like you would on your ipad
so yeah also like the closed version of the phone like not the flipped open part it's giving like
palm pilot like you need to have like your whole it's like wide yeah like a passport they said and
what does this mean for phone cases such a good question and octo buddies i want to say i happened
i didn't know consciously that the event was happening and that they were announcing a new
iphone but i should have known because like my phone has been on the fritz these last couple of
years and you know whenever they announce a new iphone like the one that came before starts to
like break down so they make you get it um and i do want to say like for research purposes i will
be getting this phone i think i'm gonna get it because i missed a lot
last update like i think i have a 15 um no or 16 you have a 17 you might have a sick i have a 17
i think i have 15 because i'm always ordering phone cases and it's 15 you know what makes me
feel sick like seriously sick like i remember when they launched the iphone period like it
didn't even have a number like it was just iphone this is 15 pro max oh my god yeah and it's like
the battery consider yourself a content creator the battery like doesn't last the whole day i'm
always like do i have a charger um so i am ready for a new phone so i think i have to get this
phone that's the next one i'm just afraid because sometimes apple launches stuff and like if you can
get it you're the coolest person alive sometimes apple launches stuff and you get it like i remember
the goggles what were those called like the virtual reality like apple uh do you know what
i'm talking about i don't know the apple ones no remember when apple came out with like
what the fuck is it called i only know google glass
no no no sorry it's not a pair of glasses it's not a pair of the goggles
the goggles vision pro i think that was what it was called like and everyone was talking about it
and i feel that like if you bought one it was like a mark on you that you are a loser you know what
i mean and i'm afraid that like this flip phone i don't know if you buy it it makes you cool or if
it makes you a loser because sometimes you just look like a sheep who will spend two thousand
dollars on anything it just depends like is this the next frontier and then all phones will
eventually be duos and i think also like samsung has been doing this you know yes
there is um there is i think a google phone that flips or a motorola of course apple is never the
first to do something but for some reason people only care when apple does it yeah so it's starting
at uh almost two thousand dollars and that's like with no space you know that's 256 gigabytes
ranging up to thirty two hundred dollars for a model with two terabytes oh now like do we wait
or do we just do it you know i think i'm gonna get it and also it's like is there an actual
like technological purpose to having a flip phone or are you doing it because like we all sort of
like miss having flip phones and like the vibe nostalgic and because then i also saw it of like
clicking down like i saw like a lot of tech commentators commenting on the fact that when
you open up the new iphone flip phone there's a crease where you it's like not a completely
i would expect there to be you're folding the screen i would expect there not to be actually
very for these prices yeah i guess i guess this is what's next
for technology but what else did they announce it does feel like a big leap a big technological
leap though of course sometimes they announce brands have done it many times sometimes they
announce like other features coming to the phones or like you can get your airpods to go like up
your ass uh new ai features for new iphones
ai siri is more expressive oh god just what we need i'm crying i'm sure there's other stuff but
this article is focused on the digital world so i'm not sure if i'm going to be able to do that
the duo on just the phone yeah no that was the big the big news of the day they should have us
like be the spokespeople because we're like the duo oh i love that and you know what i totally
forgot like you know you've made it i got apple pr last time they did their announce i got like
the new um computer the fuck what was it called the neo that everyone was talking about it's like
pink it's so cute i love it um and they were like do you want it i was like yeah so can i
get the phone too i would love to not pay for it i didn't know that was an option yeah i got apple
pr i feel like it's like an elite pr list to be on that's seriously cool yeah sometimes i forget
about like cool things that i do or have done you know yeah like what mass singer no i was gonna say
a similar vein before he obviously became like a crazy nazi no
closed on sunday oh kanye yeah no but what about steve we like whenever we talk about like cool
things that you've done that we forget like we say kanye and now we say mass singer steve harvey
steve harvey and now we say mass singer steve harvey and now we say mass singer steve harvey
twice if you read my book like you guys don't even know like the mentor that steve harvey was
to me and like the kind of sort of tumultuous relationship we had after my first appearance
on the show it's not that tumultuous but you should read my book but you did it twice the show
yeah oh i forgot about the second time like i was so like they were obsessive they were like a real
me and steve had a real connection he like couldn't get over me i'm being dead serious
he told me i was a star and i was really going places i remember that he was right
you went a thousand percent look at me i'm i have my own podcast okay um yeah and they
invited me back like a year or two later and i was like i'm gonna do this i'm gonna do this i'm gonna
and we just like reconnected and he was asking me like about social media like he's
like literally when i consider my mentors sorry i have to add hillary hoffman and steve harvey
yeah or like people who were like integral to in my growth in your journey major stops along
the way on your journey the shoulders on which i stand yeah steven harvey let's make a graphic
it's like a picture of me standing on steve harvey shoulders steve harvey standing on like
gwyneth paltrow shoulders all my mentors and
hillary hoffman and berg snader of course are you ready for our fifth and final story
oh my god i know i think i think we'll take some time with it though because
cma award nominations are out oh yeah they just came out i didn't even know that um so let's go
through it shall we we have ella langley miranda lambert and casey musgraves leading the nominations
wow go casey musgraves because i feel like her album like really came and went
um but i think that it's obviously ella's year
so entertainer of the year we're going to start from the bigs here are the nominees
luke combs cody johnson ella langley chris stapleton and laney wilson
um they always just like make shit up so i'm going to say like who i predict and my predictions are
based on like statistics and facts and theirs are just based on vibes it does feel like ella
langley's year even though it's so crazy that you can be nominated for she was on like the biggest
tour of the year this year opening for morgan wallen and it's like morgan wallen's not even
nominated for entertainer well they don't nominate him for anything
no they've started to like reincorporate him back they don't let him win but they throw him in there
every now and then can you read me the nominees again i will but i will i don't think more morgan
wallen isn't even nominated for male vocalist he is not nominated for anything was his album this
year uh yeah and oh that's crazy yeah so you can't even think about that uh entertainer was
luke combs cody johnson ella langley chris stapleton and laney wilson even though like
ella langley was the face of country music this year like the way that this category
works like i don't think she'll win no i think it's just about like who toured the most it's
gonna be chris stapleton or laney wilson per usual laney wilson um yeah i wouldn't be mad if it was
chris stapleton and i would be mad if it was laney wilson like i know and i would not be mad
if it for a third year in a row give my speech about how i actually love laney wilson but she's
not deserving of any of her accolades like seriously don't make me do it i wouldn't be
mad if it's cody johnson and of course i would be thrilled if it's luke combs
i had to turn that song off yesterday like i was listening to music while i got ready and i was
like doing my makeup take that phone call from your mom like when the bridge comes on like
seriously i have to go die like i can't i can't hear it yeah like it's it's luke's time you know
i'm sort of like they do love to snub him they love to snub him and that's why i didn't even
mention him when i was talking about like who how i'll react when people win because like i
i'm just used to the fact that he's not gonna win i don't know why but obviously no it's like why
would he win he just like took country music to australia and the uk and he's like i don't know
and broke records over there and it's introducing the genre to an entirely new group of people but
why would that make him entertaining of the year when laney wilson was on yellowstone like please
he's my number one for this if i were in the voting block yeah next we have single of the
year we have be her it's choose in texas be her by ella langley choose in texas by ella langley
i knew it i knew you by taylor swift oh somewhere over laredo by laney wilson and the fall
oh cody johnson well oh you know who it's for me it's the fall i also can't i also can't listen to
the painter because obviously that song's about his wife but it's actually about ruby oh it's about
me actually oh you are the painter i'm the painter oh no ruby's a painter i don't remember life before
he came into the picture showed me beauty i was missing with him that's that's sweet but i feel
like show me colors i ain't never seen i literally sang it last night when i was putting him down i
for being like the painter of our life in my family oh my god i'm cracking up that's hilarious
and like you are the painter but the fact that you're like nominating yourself makes it like
less sweet zach should be like jack's you're the painter of course of course but like he doesn't
know the song and when i heard it i was just like and he's singing about his wife and it just like
made me feel seen as a wife you know that's beautiful oh i don't like it's only someone
saying it to lindsey clancy like maybe things would have turned out different that's such a good point
couple of songs if i were curating a playlist for lindsey clancy just in an effort to have perhaps
changed her mind and like and boost morale around the house yeah did she try putting on music
it's not funny it's not funny um whatever choosing texas is nominated for should and maybe won't
because they just like make shit up over there like they refuse to give it to shibuzi with bar song
but like that was the song of the year not even just in country in the world it was the song of
the year i agree but slay to be nominated in the same category twice seriously album of the year
um ain't ain't in it for my health by zach top dandelion by ella langley middle of nowhere by
casey musgraves parker mccullum parker mccullum and the way i am by luke holmes honestly i would
be good with any of these oh really i feel it's not a really competitive category and it's like
to me only two of these
even deserve to be nominated, and that's Luke and Ella.
And I'll be happy if either of them would.
No, remember we listened to Parker McCollum's album
because we had heard Good Things and it was nice.
I remember I heard it like once
and never listened to it again, yeah.
Middle of Nowhere, I didn't know her album was called that.
You know, I love that.
I know, that's your favorite Luke Holmes song,
Middle of Somewhere.
What?
It's Middle of Somewhere.
It's Middle of Somewhere
because like the middle of nowhere to you
is the middle of somewhere to me.
Somewhere to me.
Oh, it's so beautiful.
It's so beautiful.
Yeah.
Song of the year, we have Be Her, Ella Langley,
Beautiful Things, Megan Maroney,
Choose in Texas, Ella Langley,
and Miranda Lambert is on that.
Dry Spell, Kacey Musgraves,
and Gary, Stephen Wilson Jr.
Why does it feel like this like wasn't a big year
for country music?
Like none of these songs are even remotely eligible
except for, and yes, Miranda Lambert wrote
Choose in Texas with Ella Langley.
She's getting rich off that song.
I think one, because of the erasure of Morgan Wallen.
Yeah, and he had a 30 song album.
And like so many of the number one hits in country music
this year.
For Morgan Wallen.
And so when you take him out.
I'm a little crazy, but the world's insane.
When you take him out, then it's like,
well, where are the hits?
Morgan Wallen is the hits.
It's true.
It's true.
But also Choose in Texas is the song of the year.
It's Ella's year.
Like every award she's nominated for,
she is the clear winner.
Is she going to go home with 11 awards or zero?
We'll find out.
Female vocalist of the year, Miranda Lambert,
Ella Langley, Megan Maroney, Kacey Musgraves,
Lainey Wilson.
I really like the friendship between Miranda Lambert
and Ella Langley.
It's like very me and Steve Harvey, like mentor and mentee.
Yeah, Miranda's like sort of in her friendship era.
A thousand percent she made up with Kacey Musgraves.
They did a collab together, and I think she's really
taken on this like mentorship level, like role with Ella
Langley, who's kind of the Miranda Lambert of her generation.
But I feel like she's also friendly towards Lainey Wilson.
You know, like that hasn't shut her out.
She's just sort of like in her girl's girl era.
And I never saw that.
For Miranda, when we were like reporting on all of her,
like, divorce drama with the cop and the married guy.
I love that she settled into this, like, girl boss era mentor.
I follow her on social media.
She's one of my favorite follows.
She, like, really walks the walk of the country lifestyle and talks the talk.
I think a lot of I think this is like a thing in country music.
Like people who sing about riding horses and, like, live in a high rise condo.
Yeah, no, she, like, lives in the middle of somewhere male vocalist of the year.
Luke Holmes. Cody.
Johnson, Chris Stapleton, Zach Topps, Steven Wilson, Jr.
Any of the first three I'm cool with.
For me, it's Luke or Cody.
You know, like, I, like, sort of don't fuck with Chris Stapleton.
That's so crazy to me.
No, like, no hate, no shade, no nothing.
It's just like, I don't know why we haven't clicked.
We haven't clicked.
And I think you need to work on the click.
I know.
Because one day I'll watch this back and be like, that's so crazy.
And, like, the thing is, I know that he's amazing.
Everybody loves him.
Right.
I think a lot of times, like, he has transcended genres.
Like, everyone in the industry respects the fuck out of him.
And it's so rare that there's someone like that who's actually deserving of all that.
And he is.
Like, his voice is insane.
He does everything with his wife.
And I actually heard, I only read this recently, that, you know, he sings on stage every song
with his wife right next to him.
And they just, like, stare at each other.
And he, like, gets really nervous on stage.
That's why she, like, is a part of it.
Because, like, it helps with his nerves.
So cute.
No, everything about him is amazing.
I have no faults except, I don't know why, like, Spotify, like, never pushed him onto me.
Oh, really?
I find that he's, like, an industry plant.
I'm always, like, I know all of his music.
Meanwhile, I've never sought it out.
Like.
I have the opposite experience.
I never sought it out.
And it never found me.
Joy of my life.
Like, there are so many songs.
I know joy of my life.
You are the joy of my life.
Vocal group of the year, Lady A, Little Big Town, Midland, Old Dominion, Red Clay Strays.
Oh, I didn't know Midland was, like, still out there doing their thing.
You know, they had, like, a hot couple of years.
Where's Rascal Flatts?
They're busy putting the industry on their back.
Literally.
And they've released duets.
Like, they're still working.
They're still working.
Like, it's disgusting.
No wonder why they want to quit.
The CMA is so fucking problematic.
They're disgusting.
I feel like every time we recap the nominations or the actual awards, like, they literally
never cease to get it wrong.
It's so true.
Okay, those are, like, the big categories.
And their most egregious act was the Shabuzy Erasure of 2003.
Like, the way they went out of their way to give him no awards.
Yeah.
The other category would be New Artist of the Year.
Oh.
Avery, Anna, Carter Faith, Emily Ann Roberts, Tucker Wetmore.
Steven Wilson, Jr.
Well, obviously, we'll go to Steven Wilson, Jr., considering he's nominated in all the
big categories.
But I just want to say, shout out to Emily Ann Roberts.
I love. We ain't got a whole lot, but we got a lot of little, and a little suits me just fine.
We go together like a bull and a fiddle, and we live a little simple life.
She's, like, hardcore country.
And she. I discovered her on TikTok, and she's, like, crushing it.
She, like, opens. Oh, she opened for Cody Johnson.
She's, like, the sweet little darling, like, true. Like, a farmer girl who's, like. Like, you know, mowing the lawn in the morning or whatever, and, like, going to the Opry at
night.
And, like, she's so glam.
I love her.
That's beautiful.
Yeah.
So, can't wait to see all my favorite artists lose.
And when will that be streaming on ABC?
When will that be happening?
On Wednesday, November 18th.
Oh.
I have so much life to live.
That's been a long time.
Like, I'm going to have a birthday.
Oh, my God.
Your birthday's coming up.
I know.
I've been, like, giving it a little thought.
Like, what do I want to do?
34?
34.
34.
I have three kids.
Like, nothing to be ashamed of.
That is a good life, my friend.
Thank you very much.
I would love to be there one day.
Like, for real.
I've got to get to work.
Thank you very much.
Yeah.
I wonder. I don't know.
I've got some irons in the fire.
I have to think about, like, what do I like, you know?
Do I need to plan to be down there for your B-Day?
Like, are we doing stuff?
You don't have to be.
But, like, I should do a little something.
Like, and maybe something, like. I did a party with your new rug.
In my new house, in my new rug.
And, like, I think the spigot will be off by then, which means, like, the house is done, like, decorating and everything.
So, like. So, now we have to open the other spigot for, like, events and hosting.
It's so true.
But, like. Oh, we should do hibachi.
That's, like, something we do for my birthday.
You literally hate hibachi.
It could be, like, a cute housewarming, like, birthday dinner.
I don't know enough cheese and crackers for eight people.
I'll get the cake.
Just leave the cake to me.
Okay.
Yeah, just something to think about.
But, anyways, I'm not even thinking about it.
But that's just to say, like, how far away the CMAs are.
But, yeah, we have so much life to live.
We have, like, brands.
We have secret projects to launch, honestly.
Oh, my gosh.
We have a lot of work to do between now and then.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I know Jackie doesn't let me, like, tease our secret projects because it is so annoying.
But I will say this before she cuts me off.
Like, you guys have no idea what's coming.
Two of, like, the most sickening drops you'll ever see in your life.
And it's not what you think.
It's not drops, though.
No, sorry.
Well, I was being vague because I didn't want you to yell at me.
So, you were incorrect.
Two of the most sickening. Two of the most sickening launches.
Launch.
Launch.
That's beautiful.
That's a good word.
Speaking of launch, what are you going to have for lunch?
Speaking of lunch, you mean I'm actually grabbing lunch with a couple friends.
It's insane that you would say that, like, directly to my face.
You asked because I would have never said it if you didn't ask.
I was more so talking about food.
I didn't need to know the company.
Oh, we're going to go to our favorite restaurant.
Like, it gets worse and worse for you.
And what do you think you're going to eat?
What do you think you're going to eat?
Like, a salad or, like, a wrap?
Not a wrap.
Maybe, like, a bowl.
I'll make it worse.
A warm bowl.
A warm bowl.
Wow.
She's having a warm bowl.
You guys know Turney's warm bowls.
And to be clear, that is not one of the secret projects we're launching.
A chain of warm bowl facilities.
A QSR restaurant.
And we're not launching cranberries either, unfortunately.
No, no.
Unfortunately, like, our quick serve restaurant era is still loading.
But it will happen.
Turney's warm bowls featuring cranberries bread.
Yeah, they'll be, like, connecting.
Sort of like Baskin Robbins.
Yes!
Dunkin' Donuts.
It'll be a Turney's warm bowls and a cranberries.
But you could pay, like, at one register.
Yeah.
But two separate menus.
Yeah.
For two separate eaters.
There is one remaining.
Maybe two remaining Baskin Robbins ex-Dunkin' Donuts in New York City.
I have to go.
You do.
I don't eat Baskin Robbins, like, ever.
And I love ice cream.
And I'm always talking about how, like, the options for ice cream in New York City are.
And I just want to say, and this is no disrespect, but, like, the fact that, like, there are
no frozen yogurt places anymore.
Like, 16 Handles gone.
Red Mango gone.
Off the Wall gone.
Tasty Delight, don't even ask.
Like, the last one on the Upper East Side just closed.
But, like, everybody's opening these, like, alts.
Like, Greek yogurt or, like, plant-based.
Stop.
Like, seriously, stop.
This is serious.
This is my life, you guys.
Like, stop.
Stop.
It's not.
And it's not the same.
And, like, it's not funny.
We actually have some good places here for fro-yo.
But I don't take advantage enough.
No, you don't.
You know.
Only when you're here.
We did a whole vlog of the frozen yogurt option near Jackie.
Yeah.
If you're looking for it, it's on Patreon.
It's hysterical.
We drove in the car that sings.
Oh, the Lyric Q.
The Lyric Q.
Claudia and Ben rented this car from GMC.
Cadillac.
Cadillac.
It's called the Lyric Q.
It was light blue.
It was an electric vehicle.
Very gorgeous.
And I think, like, it played music as it drove.
No, it hummed.
And now I can literally, I'm triggered.
Whenever I see a Cadillac Lyric, I know it's coming.
Because I'm like, there's a Lyric behind me.
And I hear it.
It's like, hum.
It drives with, like, a soundtrack.
I really enjoyed the vehicle.
It was very spacious.
And we got for a go.
All's to say.
That's our show.
Thank you guys so much for listening to the show.
It's on Monday morning.
Should we deliver the fast-paced series on YouTube?
My dear friend, I need you to watch it.
I'm sorry.
We're going to be on a signing weekly challenge.
We are.
We will see you tomorrow.
And we love you dearly.
Goodbye.
